"Twenty second two thousand twenty and at this point all fifty states have permitted reopening in various stages thank you very degrees so far so all fifty states for now sh doors to try to claw back some of that economic growth we had to try to get out of the hole we've dug ourselves in and out leeches start everybody economic numbers still look pretty bad but it looks like the bottom amen April okay doesn't mean we're still not sure how we are we are Hey but the leading economic indicator came out today and it's kind of pointing in that it's not as bad as it was last month the market PMI came out for may this week and they weren't as deep as it were the month before either or April so we've done about thirty nine million people unemployed by way that test ten times the number before the code nineteen because after voluntary shut down the economy ten times of course this developing situation is great a good deal of uncertainty in the market we see lots of volatility I think we're gonna see more of up and down as an investor here's an important question you should ask yourself a question that you had no other traders are certainly debating when our company gives back to speed what will it look like a cold nineteen causes a ban and may continue to be transformational meaning in certain industries may never recover fully or may be reconfigured to conform with the new normal I'm a lifestyle if you see some of that change be permanent I mean it doesn't have to be but I can see some of it yeah so we got a lot of murder news of unanswered questions to discuss today where investors what happened with the star bar you can what happens with the stock market in large part is determined by our ability to achieve financial freedom what we do is driven by buyers and sellers you know what we think it's worth what the experts think it's worth what you hedge funds and mutual funds thank what stocks should perform what should we drive the stock prices we drive it so you need to figure that out yeah I understand stock goes up stock prices go up with earnings go up that's generally true but that's in the long run in the short run it's emotionally driven and now the question is is that our is the run up we've had in April was that driven by hope or fact is hope there is no the order is still look really bad what we are currently still stinks I think the hope is that we can recover and that the federal service provided all the liquidity we need for that to happen which is true so let's see what happens but I still think you need to expect volatility I'm hoping call me today this is a call in show I want to hear what's on your mind who this event talk radio programs and podcasts I'm hoping to make you a better investor one way it just when I do that is by answering your questions your questions on the market the economy financial it's a natural thing we all want to think independently okay because if you're the group thank goodness could do as well or as well as poorly as the group it's up to you so that's why I'm thinking we we need we need to help each other and this radio show is designed to help you that's it so what is on your mind what do you want to talk about okay my number is eight eight eight ninety nine chart the lines are now open and ready to take your calls I know I have mentioned before and I'll mention again we Josh and I are staying at home because of the cold with nineteen travel restrictions and stuff so so far yeah we haven't scheduled any in person in person medians but I will we plan I do want to do it and I will plan a party for the original plans a couple trips sure hopefully we can meet me while we still can view your profile is IBM view black for five today and I would love for you to send me your portfolio will take a look at it and unfortunately there was a couple that came in to me today that I didn't think were very well very well organized store very well the the it was a great lack of all of us what should bility in the portfolio they didn't have a notch options or not stocks in the portfolio and remember my cardinal rule do not buy a stock that does not make money that rule applies to everybody okay but we were I does IT look at your profile and I'll tell you what I think about it hello so if you want to send me an email go to invest R..

"Straight years the ACC in the big kind of at their annual hoops challenge the ACC coming out ahead in more than half of those years but not this year twenty two seconds left resulting gives the book because the signal not to push it any further and they'll dribble the second law safe to say the biggest nonconference win and Chris opens time at Ohio state the Buckeyes come to Chapel Hill and they defeat North Carolina in the final seconds we'll talk the clocks seventy four forty nine Ohio state with a victory to move day eight no on the season and the horn sounds North Carolina is six and two seventy four forty nine Ohio state defeats North Carolina Paul keels on live feel I am G. college Ohio state with the win over U. N. C. that's number six Ohio state dominating on the road at seventh ranked North Carolina second twenty five point win over a ranked team this season for Ohio state earlier on ESPN radio Bucks coach Chris Holtmann said that two weeks after the after the game tonight do you embrace the Virginia model I said listen we got a I think Virginia's let let the country in defense for like five years so we got some work to do to get to that point but we've got some really good individual defenders in them right now okay Freddie they're they're really embrace and you know collectively to send an at a at a high level and you know we probably benefited tonight from from other big kick going out for for Carolina but our guys have really done a great job on that coach having spent time there at in Columbus people I don't across the country only have an appreciation for what college hoop is like there with with the Buckeyes when when you look at your squad right now what have you learned what does a coach no seven eight nine games into a season yeah it's an interesting question and I think I'm trying to digest that a little bit myself is you know at what point do you begin to to really know I I feel like you know I'm anxious this month coming up here we have we base everybody would play near there but I would place similar teams in terms of level and I'm interested to see if our our consistency on the defensive and continues to we've been really good I mentioned see if that continues I do think right now we've got great leadership will get a nice with their youngest team here but we have a plan be enough of young and old guys and that's been really important force in our third year as a staff here to be able to have a nice blend of young and old gosh you mention that you're in your third year and I remember it like it was yesterday coats when you got a job at Ohio state and people said okay is this the guy you on third year you've been able to put your stamp your culture on this program what is that process been like for you getting here three years ago and where this program is right now well it's been I've got a great staff it's been a daily it you know it's been a daily cry that first year we we got there we had you know we had a couple really high level players but we only had about six or seven guys sweet a player roster together and in the summer you know I've talked so much about the job that dad did here was unbelievable the level of success where to put it you know put a group together and have a really good you won twenty five games at age got to the second round of the NC double a tournament in the last year we we did take some some lumps particularly in big ten play but we're able to get to the second round of the instantly tournament again you know I felt like dish coming into this year and I I do I feel like we have almost complete team and you know it it's interesting you know this place does embrace basketball now now for you know it it doesn't maybe fully embrace it at the highest level until until after four yeah I'm I'm no house he's got other things on their mind right now but they did beat you MC on Wednesday seventy four forty nine the final Ohio state's second largest road win over a ranked team all time and with the Buckeyes win they secure a victory for the big ten in this year's challenge with the a CC eight wins the big ten six or the ACC among those big ten victories on Wednesday produ steamrolling fifth ranked Virginia three.

"Because they're all on a tangent Gerry McNamara and regularly on radio and he's Erik I'm very eight six six ninety red eye well the White House and Congress delete members that the leadership of Congress reached a deal on the spending bill the to your spending bill and debt ceiling raise the deal for more than two point seven trillion in spending over two years it also raises the spending by nearly fifty billion next fiscal year above current levels it would suspend the debt ceiling until the end of July of twenty twenty one the agreement FOR goes forgets about the steep spending cuts a nationally sought by the president providing for about three hundred and twenty billion in spending over two years above the limit set in the twenty eleven budget law that established the automatic spending cuts the president announced on Twitter the delayed Monday saying this was a real compromise in order to give another big victories were great military invents which of course you accentuate the positive and speaker Nancy Pelosi in treasury secretary Stephen ocean ocean the agreement for weeks hoping to complete the deal before the house leaves Washington by the end of the week for the August recess needed to get it done for me to go on vacation sure that's most important Hey are key sticking point other go stations was a lot of pay for the cost of the spending increases the deal extends small cuts to Medicare after two thousand twenty seven to pay for what they want to spend now like that will happen and extend fees collected by customs and border protection to offset the cost routine budget accounting moves falls short of the one hundred and fifty billion in spending cuts originally sought by the administration fiscal hawks hawks Hey on the report of the proposed deal Monday before many of the details have been released warning that it could add trillions of dollars more to the projected government debt levels over the next decade the White House estimated this month that annual deficits are on track to exceed one trillion this fiscal year because of weaker federal revenue following the twenty seventeen tax cut and higher government spending under the current budget agreement quote there was a time when Republicans insisted on a dollar of spending cuts for every dollar increase in the debt limit said ma'am again is the president of the committee for a responsible federal budget it's hard to believe that they are now considering the opposite attaching to trillion of spending increases to a similar sized debt limit hike some house Republicans had urged Mr trump to reject the deal over the weekend Colleen for more spending cuts but most chose to focus on the military increase well as National Review said yesterday it's the last nail in the coffin for the tea party yeah the the idea of getting our fiscal house in order is is gone with all but a few and it won't be enough to conjure up enough political pressure to change anything anytime soon the tea party April fifteenth two thousand nine the first big protest tax day that was that was the big I guess official Holmes said coming out I don't know if it's coming out or not but they're big official get together number one died July twenty second two thousand nineteen the tea party not killed by Obama not killed by Lois Lerner not killed by any liberal but killed as the National Review pointed out as national view pointed out killed by the fact that Republican leaders believe that Republicans no longer care about the debt or the deficit nice going I remember the day you party the tea party killed by slow suicide yes yes I slow suicide by its own not killed by any outside force killed by their own party yeah and send it so it's the truth I mean it's complete reversal of what the Republican Party stood for as recently as three years ago I think the most interesting thing when you look at politics the most interesting thing is because people forget people have very short memories we have learned to have long memories this is the kind of a deal not even as bad as this that actually coined the term the swamp yeah yeah what aim because in the late fall of two thousand fifteen when Paul Ryan took over and Paul Ryan would not reverse the budget deal the John Dehner had put together with the Democrats that was found by the Republican Party and the trump campaign and trump supporters to be completely and totally unacceptable and it became a rallying cry to defeat the swamp that was it yeah that was really the last any type of protest towards any type of fiscal responsibility six months later the president was saying we need to borrow trillions of dollars more because the interest rates are so low everybody cheered from that point on it's been dead now was dying before that we said this before I wanted trump just got into the trump got into the very end and I think also came to the realization I don't care I don't blame the Republicans I don't blame the swamp this isn't this this isn't like remember the swamp was there not doing in Congress what we want them to do right what they did yesterday this horrible deal that puts more the burden on future generations our children our grandchildren for what we want today was put in with the full approval of Republican voters well that's what it that's why there was no fight that's why they didn't extend this to the end of September right that's why there was no fight or push to do it because they believe the Republican leadership and the White House believe that Republicans wish to spend the like crazy or don't care if you if they do I don't care if they do the this goes back to you can go back to December if you wanna see political pressure and and I guess recent times but you go back to December and that political pressure was there when Sarah Huckabee Sanders came out and and told basically the reporters and everyone else listening we're not going to shut down the government we don't want to shut down the government then we'll find of that money from the secretaries of all the different departments will ask them to reach into their budgets and come up with money from the wall for the wall so that lasted I don't know that within about twenty four hours or so it was reversed we're shutting down the government that was because of the political pressure that was put on because we said wall and that was a political pressure put on by Republican voters saying twenty you know five billion for a wall is worth shutting down the government yeah so we know we've done this long enough for we know when the Republican Party is angry about something or not angry about this but something changes today I don't see that happening to you I would love to say I'm wrong well again I'd love to be wrong hi I love just just what about a week and a half ago was talking about how we've they're close to a deal of raising the the debt ceiling the story came out a week ago that the president was telling everybody that we're going to cut after the twenty you know after we get reelected after twenty twenty you know after twenty twenty then we're really going to clamp down the last few years yeah and when that came out you knew what was going to we know it's going to be in this budget we set it all along you're listening to the show the last we can and we said yeah I like going to front of the government of a deal done so quickly because we know where the Republican Party is going they made the deal because they know what the Republican voter once or what the Republican voter views is a priority and it's no longer death right no longer the deficit no no so it's you look it's it's where we are I mean I'm not upset about it because we you and I've been dealing with that you and I were together Hey it's almost a and we see that would be too that was August two thousand five when Tom delay came out and said Republicans need to stop remember that when we first started working together Tom delay was considered the ultimate conservative came out and said you were put you conservatives need to shut up we've cut the budget as much as we possibly can it's bare bones he was marked like you can't believe somebody was viewed as a staunch conservative was utterly marked almost as much as he was mark when he went on dancing with stars okay but it was a but that those times those times are gonna mean it's it's not and and so we've known it for the longest time that the Republicans when it comes to fiscal policy just don't just don't care and and even through tonight show we've talked about it a significant portion of the excuses given with the excuses that Democrats would give just a few years ago and I guess it if it happened all at once would be disheartening but we've seen it coming for the longest time sure I'm disappointed I'm disappointed that you know you look at it and you see it's the you know that yesterday basically was a symbolic and I agree with National Review was the last nail in the coffin the tea party died yesterday and not at the hands of of liberals not at the hands of Democrats not at the hands of Lois Lerner not at the hands of Obama but slow suicide by the Republicans themselves sure yeah that's what I mean that in itself is a little bit sad but we we saw coming so well I mean in twenty sixteen we mentioned we we asked the question where where's the outrage on the the debt and the deficit yeah there was very little discussion during a major election season so here we are not surprised right eight six six "Day is it? What is it? Today's man's lumberjack day, June twenty second two thousand nineteen. I like that. You didn't get that day. If you ain't here today, you ain't here. Day lumber on Michigan avenue in canton. The inside outside guys are excited to be here. We want to see you here today. Chuck, we'll give you hotdogs. I will dogs right? Matter of fact. We'll have them brought right up here on the stage and I'll sample them for people. Take the first bite if you have any doubt that they're going to be good for you. Right. Sound good. I will do that for people that for cookies. What a guy what else we got over there guy guy guy man's lumber deck day? I'll tell you what something like ninety eight percent of the homes in America have decks on them. And interestingly enough, something in the range of the high sixty percent tile of those are twenty years or older. So arguably need redoing, yes, there's a lot of deck's out there. Need to be done fair to say, I tell the story of, of our twenty year old deck up north that we originally had would walking surface on. Yes. And it lasted but we discovered the new and improved treks product. Yes, about ten years ago. Was it, yet it wasn't there? Yeah. Member and we tore off the wood and put on trucks. And I gotta tell you, I could sell this product, do you still have any of the left had a pile of next year? That's your place than you know, somebody stole it. No actually hit the walkway, the walkway, the ramp. So we're all out of product. So if you're looking to take some it ain't there anymore, but it's a great product and it's one of those easy to get behind. Yes, it is. It is it is a good product. We're gonna talk a lot about tracks and other kinds of decks, today, because is, you know, the inside outside guys feel so important to be an educated consumer. And we know Doug man's feels the same way. Here in man's lover has a lot of staff here to talk to you today. So if you have a chance to come on down and interact with these people, you don't have to buy anything day, you can just get yourself in a situation where you know what you're looking for where you know what's available to you. Yeah, absolutely. Where when you come in to your left, we're actually standing on a tracks deck, and is a beautiful track stack and I love the look at you. Switch years already. And I'll be doing mine probably by spring of next year. I will be taken off the old weather went on my deck and replaced it with a trucks product now wanna say would is still a good product. It is walking surface. It is cedar is still very popular. Good treated lumber, and it's funny. We were talking with Pat out front here, the guy that's going to demonstrate the camel fasteners. Yes. And saying him, you know what are you, what, are you seeing in terms of would strata versus, you know, cedar versus synthetic product tracks? He said, it's interesting still see a lot of treated, but he agrees with the inside outside guys, you gotta come to a man's lumber yard like this to get good treat. It would yes. Stores sell treated wood. It's not. Not the quality product. We put on our own fast growing quickly quickly treated that won't last as long as it doesn't hold up. It doesn't hold up. Chuck out about checking all about value. Oh, chuck. I wasn't going to mention it. I, I was going to mention this oughta just came in and the message right here. Danielle how, how would Danielle of. No, I have no idea. I have no idea. But I swear, I didn't say word. I know how you are. I didn't say a word, I'll tell people later though. But we're talking about Dax. Little sidetrack there. But it's all about value people inside outside guys. We talk about value so there is value in doing a treated wood deck. Ten twelve fifteen years. Usually you do track stack, especially some of this practice. Here, you could be talking to thirty thirty plus your product talking terms of lifetime relative to you owning that true, true. And I wouldn't have said that fifteen years ago, there was some product out there that we people people being the industry and customers of builders. Right. That were industry was experimenting with that wasn't the product they're selling here today. Yeah. And since we'll tell the story of how trucks came together really a cool story. But since it did come together. There's truck has come together. Boy, it's been such a great great, and you see everywhere. Now, you see everywhere. Just gonna last fall. We got we had the opportunity to put a high end deck on a brand new house for young couple and they did everything they all the, the rail kits and of course, the walking surface, and we got to do some patterns kind of like the one you and I are standing on where we're, we're the deck is picture frames with different color. Anyone imagine? With the picture frame means as a lighter Brown in the centre bordered by darker Brown product. So I gotta tell you everything went down, well, the material cuts. Well, it's stable, it looks beautiful. It's easy to keep clean. So it's one of those things again, you and I are excited about the fact we get behind it, and we can give behind a supplier, like man's lumber because these people have a long-term reputation we're going to be talking to how long that actually going back for ever. Yeah. Older new when we talk about man's lumber everything we can talk them out. And when you walk in the door is impressive. The whole thing. Impressive really is in one of the things we wanna make sure you understand. Maybe you're not looking for a deck. Maybe you're looking at some other product. Maybe, maybe you're looking to redo the you and I talked to kitchens and bass. Yes. They've got a beautiful showroom here. They've got some really cool displays here that give you some real good sense of what's possible in your kitchen. And they have full designed matter of fact, I think they have a discounted design. Yeah. Yeah. Hearing I found a flyer. Fifty percent off d'oro supreme, it's free design consultation, and what can I loved it? If you've got an expert in design layout, getting their input for an hour or an hour and a half can be invaluable invaluable. That's, that's absolutely people don't even have a sense of what really good professional input and advice means to them. I mean simple things with standard sizes and spacing and access so many times, you and I were in kitchens, those parades of homes where they had coverage shelves that were totally inaccessible really pretty who can use them. You know, you're right. Because you have to watch out who can use them because VM kids. I see so many things take all the stuff into into account. Absolutely. I mean, if you have a bunch of we have lazy Susan's aren't the best thing they really are they, they get stuck back there. So it's on about design, and we're gonna continue talk a lot about that today. Whether it's kitchens or decks. There are so many things people have to consider before putting a deck and and choosing the product they're going to use. Well, and the question of whether or not that ten year old deck frame can handle new service, may, we talk about that as well. Maybe we'll talk about that, by the way your brother. Pete says happy birthday. I'll let it go there. Hey my bride night. This week had a chance to go by the hard rock stoneworks charity event this weekend. For how did she get you to new day foundation? "Defense contract kick it out the hunter they just make the right play. And they stay with it. Doesn't matter. What kind of pressure they're under three consecutive games? And yes, some people can say there's elemental look I understand that. But you need to put yourself in a position to get the elemental any always put themselves in that position. Listen, I completely agree with that as I just mentioned three times down with twenty two seconds ago, Texas, down three point seventeen seconds ago. Auburn down three point five seconds ago. Purdue it's not luck that you come back in all of those. I mean, there is a calming presence about them. And that that may go to some players, and we we talk about. Prince when lack of true freshman one and done 's are leading teams to championships anymore. A lot of it comes out to guys on the court as we said this final four there were only two starting freshman. It comes down to players who have been there at least a year. And in most cases, a couple of years to have some commie experience because Virginia looks like their control of every single situation. It really do they they did. And you're right. I think that group being together. I think a lot of the things that Tony Bennett talked about, and we'll hear more from the winning coach we'll hear from the most outstanding player of the tournament in a little bit here as well. As those guys reflect on a lot of that stuff. But yeah luck is preparation meeting opportunity. Right. You're not gonna turn it down. They didn't win on lock. But you don't mind when it happened cut bunches your way, you create lock again, you put yourself in position to do that through preparation. I think when you write the book on Virginia season this year that'll be like nothing about them is sexy. I joked earlier this year that Kyle guy looks like he's limping the court certain times. That's the. Level of athleticism. That's on display, but the dates rock-solid basketball team that was always gonna make the right play. That was gonna play great defense and was probably better off than we gave them credit for. So as we look at this now, so we have to wrap up our ESPN bracket challenge for our affiliate stations along against us in our ESPN bracket challenge pool tournament challenge app. We had our affiliates from across the country are local stations competing for a chance to come here. Do their show from ESPN was afternoon show afternoon show. So the best afternoon show that one and they were going to bring a couple of listeners along with them. So we have our winner in this. Congratulations to ESPN Syracuse ninety seven which really thirteen hundred points puts them in the ninety eighth percentile for this. They had Virginia overdue in the title game. But they did have Texas Tech in the final four. So they came to play for this one. Congrats to the guys in cues now. If I'm not mistaken is that the Baldwin station. Oh, yes. It is. Yes, it is God. So we're gonna have the Baldwin's trying to weasel their way back into Bristol here. This should be an adventure. So congratulations to ESPN. Paul Hoffman is a certified public accountant. He tells you what the main things are you need to know moving. Forward it appears that approximately seventy percent of all taxpayers will pay less tax. I mean, keeping politics aside. That's what the initial indications are people will get some nice benefits who have young children as the child tax credit has been increased from one thousand dollars to two thousand dollars and that's for children under the age of seventeen. And the biggest thing this year under the new plan is what's called qualified business income deduction. It's very complicated to explain in a short interview. But basically people who have businesses or at least most types of businesses will in effect Getty twenty percent break on the taxability of their income. There will be some negative things like the loss of some real estate taxes and the loss of personal exemptions. But the positive thing is. Is that the tax tables the tax brackets have decreased in just about all the the brackets. So that's a very positive thing as well. For USA radio news. I'm timberg.
