What are they like to hang out. Are they on instagram. Facebook twitter pinterest. You know where they physically do. They like to go to whole foods. Where where is your customer where they like to be and dot help shooter just because for someone to say you. Should you a facebook. Or what if the people you're trying to serve. Don't wanna use those sticks. What if they just have no idea about that. So that's where that is so crucial so now that you know you serving you know what they want. You know where they are now. It's easier for you to cultivate how you're going to do that. I think peleton has done a fantastic job. They knew they were serving in upper echelon customer and not upper echelon customer in. The beginning was traveling right. There were these high level executives in seals and they were traveling for work and they had forty five minutes thirty minutes sixty minutes to get a workout. They knew exactly who they were targeting. Yes that's my ethos. By the way. I i always say i will travel for peleton because i don't personally have one. I'm obsessed in. Its twenty twenty. One goal fi can hit my goals. I will participaton. But i always say now. I will travel for peleton because one workout. And i was hooked first of all i love spin but they have done an amazing job. I totally agree is headed and so now the fun star the fun now you can sleep now that you have all that information now the fun begins right now you consider your power and you can coach and you can cultivate this awesome community and the way you do that is create space for the each create the space and great questions. You know asking great questions that elicit good conversation. Don't force your advice. Don people's throats. Let them do the work. Let them come towards you and you'd be surprised. At how many people. They love to help each other right. They love to support to the highlight. You're creating those opportunities and that's what you're doing. You're creating opportunities. Great question is hey share your wins today right when you ask people for their wins and like all got up early. Oh i drink my water requirements. Oh i i close to sales today. They put that up in. Whatever you're hosting places for that for your community now. Someone else does that. And you're high fiving each other and you're correct congratulating each other and then someone is having a really shitty day the look at that and it'd be fire them up. They're like you know what i can do this. Or they think they had a shitty day but really they just weren't looking at things correctly and now they're able to shift perspective so you as a coach you wanna create space for people and then create opportunities for people to engage. That's all really we do we fault we fall too much with. Here's the advice. Yes don miller story brand does a really good job of this. But i'm a firm believer in it to. Yes but he okay. He teaches so much about. And this is something that we've adopted in the agency as well but teachers so much about having you as the owner of course are not to be the hero right. You're supposed to be the guide. The students the members of your community Your clients your membership students. They're supposed to be the right like you want them to feel accomplished. You want them to have the win. You are not there to showcase and pump your chest up of everything that you've done everything that you can help them do. You're really just there to herd them to guide them in the right direction and give them a path to follow Do a lot of work with that with the clients in the agency. Because it's a hard concept to understand when you're especially when you're starting out on an even as you're growing because you want to get that visibility wanna be able to stand out from everyone else in your niche in your in your space. That's kind of doing the same thing so a lot of times by saying like you know. This is what i believe. This is what i've done if you just follow me you'll you'll accomplish that but instead we need to give people the space just like you were saying to understand that they can be their own leader. They can take your instruction they can take what you were saying. And you're you're teaching your templates or guides Your fitness routines and really take those things and implemented in into their own life. Yeah yeah it's such a good point you know one of my girls. Does this amazing. She's one of my coaches and she's actually based in kuwait. And she she. I learned from her. She has this incredible community of women and she show success. Like nobody. I've ever like nobody ever worked with and majority for content. Oliver stuff is just her madman. Winning in overcoming and doing things that a hard but then like showing them like high five inning and they become the her women.

"So it's twenty twenty one. Oh wow so away yeah you're actually younger than excite graduate twenty fourteen to you after you so i on that on that regard. 'cause i ought to say that might highschool was very racist as well. I mean i. I just have like brandon guys. Walk up to me to say some really dump things. I mean mainly discriminatory towards a black nation. Individuals would be the two that were received the most hate my but my school like had no management whatsoever. I mean they spent millions of dollars on a football stadium that like broke down second later so crazy how down thing is like am my my high school you allen cold be. Don't they think about as football football this football that a lot of their budget was on football and not about managing anything else that went on the school bella to latiff it nasty things that i was exposed to even younger than that but i hope that at this time at this age that those schools can put things in place to not accept any of that but the ad i mean i could see her coming from even if it's two years after me the that's still could be at a time where you know people didn't care enough in which sad that it took this long but i'm in. I'm i'm hoping that you're you continue this and you don't have to deal with that. I hope so too. I mean they. They did apologize about the air I accept Basing very genuine in their apologizing they realized that but they were doing with stewart. I think they thought it was just a joke. And they didn't understand that. no. I don't understand why you would have to joke that. So they did apologize. Fear orca but that was good already. Have for this year. What is probably things that you're working on that to further yourself because of coming back and i'm sure you've got more On camera acting in mind. Additionally you have a voice demo reel have you been involved in any official blace or these disliked test. Reels are right. now they're just has reloads. I am uh sending them out to agencies. And i'm really looking forward to on and making a real demo reel for my character. Voices on seabrook's magazov that i'm still in school currently i'm still training and auditioning for on camera work and also working only dares practices. I don't know if you saw my profile saw other time so Practicing dance and working. Hard i love you that you end with the smell like you're happy you're just the most lively thing or right now today. Just i think what helps those plants behind your says. Yeah yeah probably like guide will come down and said meco is the future of plays away at night if n christianne no i. I'm because i'm agnostic. But i'm sure some being or some person is smiling down in london looking at what you're doing 'cause that's that is a a great stuff for a may not step for but it's a great path You're on with your career but with your life and with animation kind of ramping up even more you could probably expect that there may be more. Have you been trying to apply for what. I'm probably applying the same at least a auditioning that would mean for animated shorts films. Tv shows commercials not yet. I've been more focused on the on camera work. I have the app agents. focus mostly on that But at my college died you take voice acting lessons to really hone in on mine vocal production and i also take lessons for singing as well so i'm really trying to work on my voice. Where's your go with that for the voice acting part like what do you want to do with like what what what sort of companies earlier broza you looking to get into the ultimate goal which would be the worst over disney princess bat. I would be. I would be happy if that was it. I feel accomplished. But i would also love to be like finding new work. I love of nation. So working with them will be like a dream come true Or any type of gleam works any animation movie really would be local but yes the end all be all would be a disney princess voice years i think disney is somewhat moved away from disney princess. Early they know they're newer products. Have another things. But i mean you never know. There's tons of animation products out there. Whether not be a and i'm sure like you keep at a you're going to get to the if not fundamental in some the other enemy enemy companies out there. I mean a netflix biz mediators. There's actually more out there. You could enroll for information than actually is based down here in texas. So they actually run an panels and go-to events here in the anime conventions in texas north-and-south so which is another thing. You going to cons. You be voice actors. I did actually i. I met the voice of star fire at one convention. The last name incorrectly Just like give meet her at one of the cons and absolutely loved her. Allow tar and i go to k pop cons. I meet a lot of cape hoppers as well. So those are always to meet your what you doing stage play. You neither does do anime. That's her profile right What do they call tacos. I almost call them of tacos. Two hundred taco's bread. It's it's something that rigs near happy. I weren't other young ladies of color. You know. I want them to know that nothing is weird but they should obey like something like this. You know i love paper. I love aaron. Mary it's not gonna change. It's just kind of who i am. And yeah that might seem a little strange from the outside but i want other girls. You also enjoyed this stuff to know who cares if your weird. Let's be weird one. There is a lot of black women who love anime so this is not really a weird thing alley even today. it's amazing. Yeah so you're amazing so we re people fall. You're well before i say that. What what what is the thing that you are helping achieve at the. What's your twenty twenty. One goal or goals one goal. Would he would love to be cast in a pipe that would be twenty eight. Twenty one.

"Something that pretty universal. Yeah yeah yeah i always. I introduced friend to mitch hedberg the other day. Never you know. He's he's he's a guy. Machine also has not messing unique delivery. So it's like an extra bonus on top just being a gag merchant. And it's like this. This is comedy from you. Know at this point. What at least two three decades. So here's the thing self contained whereas like if you're watching an actress same time. Do bits about reagan yet. It's not gonna have the same. I think i think you're right about the desire to have this like cova. Jason reality 'cause like a friend assumed friend the other day about like tv shows. They like to their life. I can't even remember. This is how much. I wasn't interested in whether say i can't remember the name of the tv show but this because they went. This season is all about People mosques as as like yes sir. I just shot off. The palm of my brain was actively remembering. Just wait. wait for them to finish. So i could say i don't want to watch knots. Yeah pretty much. I think that the yeah when you have that kind of everything is based on the context of our particular time you give yourself a an indict you give yourself in expiring For when that material is gonna be just people over. People don't understand the context of it to get what is being said. Yeah go sensibilities change in a black joke known obliquely about tracer neil. His his standup probably wouldn't get same. Reception will probably would have had to evolve if it exists in the modern twenty. Twenty one here But if you if you can take yourself out of the euro coach for context and a and watch his material in the context in which it was written and delivered you can say genius. Brilliant as as like just from a purely comedic perspective it's boring as doug shit to intellectualize company but happy covid. He's as gags on. His jokes are on another level. Hey teases out. I hesitate site truths but he takes his out things which are true from his perspective. Well and i think he loved what he minds is the interpersonal relationships. Yes especially romantic and true for that perspective at that time. Not objectively true especially from Twenty twenty one goal so like the the goalposts that kind of move but like the underlying truth of romantic entanglements aloft. Way he says is really just dead on. Yeah and then you know they'll be alliance like oh yards the nine east of the nineties the still that kind of on confronted element of of misogyny that is necessarily in him but his indy coca. He's talking about In some of the same his standup special in him on colin quinn. Oh tough crowd tougher of so. I only really know him from his standup in his appearances on that thing But yeah from the alone. You know the guys company was another level to the papal hate Quote unquote competing against in terms of being the golden child of that age have been recently rewatching. Some classic comedy is not where this is come constantly cycling. Yeah i find. I find i. I quite like to go back in time and watch comedians from a bygone era and Just you know just kind of milk some for the inspiration that they are not really in terms of material but just in sound people forgotten these parallel thinking of you. If you've been watching recently. I think loans purse. I ray watched a bunch of dylan moran stuff until nov my my favorite comic ever I just just ray watched and announcing their appreciating more and move all the way in which he speaks and the poetry of his speaking voice. And just the way he can en- trump's an audience with the rhythm and the lyricism of just the way he saw even that he's jokes on necessarily they're not to everyone's taste but he's delivery of his junk's is done in such a Almost like a sunburn. Or i think the irish The irish would shown akitas like the The storyteller round the round the campfire. Something you get a new one for me like hey you know. He has this kind of puff poet health storyteller old comic on. It's just now that. I've been doing comedy for wall and that's kind of like. That was the reason. I wanted to accommodate as hell if i can do that. That's the best thing ever and nothing like that. Oh so what. I watch him still in or you know whereas if i watch people who run gags the saint in a similar vein to i do watch mitch hedberg and just think the mindset that he was in when he thought that is enviable Even his run of the mill gags just like he's in. He's in a different world when he writes those. He's not looking at reality from the same way that the rest of us To see those connections and make that link and create that that little kind of a bit. But yeah when i watched omar load. What can i can. I speak sunburn.

"You have made it to the sec. Spring cleaning group. coaching preview. And i want to spend some time talking to you about where you are right now because you know what we're in the midst of trying time and while it may seem that we are coming out of it our bodies our minds our souls are still very much entrenched in the trouble that we've had to come into contact with over the last year plus. Hi i'm l. michelle. Smith certified executive impersonal coach. And i'm here to talk to you about how to clear out the cobwebs on your life and your leadership aspirations. You've come to the right place. Nfc spring cleaning group. Coaching will happen beginning april twelfth but today april fifth. We're going to talk a bit about what's holding you back. You probably cast your vision. At the beginning of the year some of you actually went to virtual vision board meetings and you have mapped out exactly the way. Your heart desires to move forward in two thousand twenty one but how many of you just like myself have gotten bogged down and what life has presented us. Look i'll tell you my story. Twenty twenty going into two thousand twenty had big plans. In fact we were going to launch a multi city business boot camp for small businesses. We were gonna go to at least five different cities and culminate with a leadership mastermind in martha's vineyard but guess what happened. Everything came undone when we realize in about of twenty twenty that this pandemic was not just in china or europe it was in the united states to and we saw so much of our lives get cancelled the first thing that i want you to realize this. Your body is grieving. The change so much of what we plan to do was taking a wet taken away. You don't just grieve the loss of people through death in mind you. We saw that happen to between last year and now but we grieve the loss of plans. How many of you had so much planned. I can tell you that spring break was cancelled last year. Kind of like. It was this year when my daughter and i were planning to go to disneyland. It was our yearly mecca to disneyland. We usually went to disneyland then then disneyworld in the summertime. All of that put on ice. My daughter had to take her classes online for nearly a year. That changed everything being so we had to shift and we had to rearrange and do so much virtually not just online school but business to suddenly someone who is a paid professional speaker was not flying out to some venue to be in a hotel where i would stay. Wake up the next morning and face of people. Thousands sometime kickoff conferences keynote. None of that was happening. Face with the idea of lost income ham of you can relate so suddenly plans that we had for twenty twenty. Were put on ice. But what about twenty twenty one. Surely after we've gotten used to the new way of living your plans are still on track. All i have some good news for you. Says you need to understand and give yourself permission to know that even if you aren't on track for twenty twenty one and maybe things got stall. That is okay. And this is your way to refocus regroup and revisit your goals for twenty twenty one. Before the summertime happens and as a certified executive and business coach i am uniquely equipped with tenants of applied. Positive psychology to get you unstuck and out of the mire to move you forward. I'm only going to take about twelve executives. Because if you know anything about group coaching you need to have a limited amount of people. I definitely won't go over fifteen but then allows you to be able to interact with one another and focus in on what you want to do coaches like myself. Are there to provide clarity for your goals. Sometimes they're murky. They're not attainable. they're not measurable. We're gonna make sure that they are. We provide acceleration. Because we're able to help you punch the gas on what it is you want to achieve and one way to do that is to get the blockages out of the way. We're going to look at some of those and then finally we're here for accountability. And this is why we keep the group small you'll be able to reach out to me in between sessions and the sessions happen every week for twelve weeks and i'll be able to share with you when you feel like you get stuck or celebrate you when you win and sometimes you might want to inform me or have quick little fifteen minute laser coaching. So let's talk about some of the things that can stand in the way of getting you to accelerating twenty twenty one goals and then we're talking about the things that will help you along the way one of the things that we you know waffle about and now that we have this new normal in the way we're living is work life integration and i call it work life integration because there is hardly balancing it. A mentor sponsor of mine. Used to say that they are crystal balls and there are rubber balls and you have to figure out which of those laws you can actually let go of and they'll bounce back those crystal balls won't do the same thing in fact if you drop them break so it really is about prioritization. The we're going to look at this eight point work. Life integration exercise. This woman allow you to look at all aspects of your life prioritize those things that are the crystal balls and those things that you could probably let go or hand off to somebody for a little help. You know the other thing that we're going to look at is how your energy can.

Because i see everybody knows that that followed me into the match we turn and alex recalls and i definitely know that then you should mean. She's in mom mastermind. And after that. I'm talking about everybody. So demanding is twenty twenty one loss how long tropic of s degree just throwing dwells and sixty other fossil chronology and the fossey's to lower ninety. It will foster reading also streamed via p. call stubby metal channel in the united states and lost to. We live on a standalone every reading that drug in the us as big inning five. Us sky was on the appledore. Excess that every degree network web sold of maintaining if each and every person generous really subscribers The losing spe was and rhetoric have shifted to the us subscribers on hulu and yuga does say pat him on plus cbs all excess and different docking warned. That hbo max. And who had a netflix amazon prime. You deal and amazon prime day including some channels. There was a funny mention now. Peak all everybody was gonna pick up channel because people was a free but if you want to remove the new image to pay and finding the wwe as module peacock tv wb network has made a partnership with peak on say that standalone version of wwe network is not available in us ofter after the fight. That's the important almost because due to the contingency not the papers because this is a everything in business but you can't say that natural was getting bad. I think it will be as tunnel version for some not fully not only upcoming matches or not. But i'm not sure because in british show that other countries even talking to other countries stove in metro will definitely watch or even if we all watching the wb shows on television via via a wwe. It just a brentford partner. Television everything that was really natural laboratory shows a network and fox sports. That's mainly gordon and in india. I can assure you that. Eight ten sony ten sports networking town one and ten three and so on what other countries by domhnall what i think should be an analogy. General recall any against does say that the betes bold was part of a wwe on on the uk and other consoles. But if i talking. All the main w foschi matches the main problem. The main thing is worth. Wwe marketing concentrated all their hardcore matches. That a w revolution or so many hardcore matches. Aws dynamite that the woman's hardcore matt's yukon tweet glad about that. I see debt. Wwe had a chance to woman in hardcore match. We can just say. I see i shall. We shall little iding beck lynch or just. Won't i see this woman's division match hardcore match and then just it doesn't singles match. I see inside settlements. What i see the hitting of shorts everything but i can assure that if ww eyrie newspaper mode the brutality and even everything that that uncensored should hyped on television. I think it's okay. But if someone wants to watch on youtube ari van. Wwe natural then. I can just shielded more to mold paying fica disable the because everyone in and this hard mission the truth everyone needs at all because some new stuff came into the wwe and some news. Does that belong to other s. Wb t i think wwf and actually making such a good thing and but right now. That's many as copy. Those pretty excited what. I said that. I got something rumors. I don't know why it is strong on that john. Nah is gonna missing the wrestlemania in this trendy trend to on. I don't know these children. On what i think we'd all undertaker wrestlemania was company the shocking but i see without wrestlemania because but i see that he still was yup. Well i don't know. I see and everybody was as dead. Body style was removed from the wwe hall of fame. Paso twenty twenty. I don't know why he goes. But instant dissolves retirees and he deserves to be inducted into the wwe hall of fame. I appreciate that. You end up the two thousand twenty one as eddie and molly holly and i see something remarkable that i don't know it true or no not that falls. That deadline was independent hall of fame. I don't know why but in the shore on on is it. Is it going to happen or not. Even if it is happening. That again showed that that he'll brian also leads. "What a great interview. How fun are sandy. In kiwi together. Love their little banter back and forth. They're just amazing. And it actually. Super just motivates me to go and start running. Because i'm with andy it seems great and then gotta put your feet to the pavement and actually go right so but i love them. I love loved to hear. So much about her grandma. Yeah and justice so cute. I think the most because i mean i was really close to my grandma and then my grandma just recently passed away and i really loved how just that memory has been so motivating to her and equally kind of an order. Mom of credits. Don't girls kind of treat me now with my mom. Which is exactly what i did with my grandma so it was really cool to kind of just see just have just like i'm not gonna quit taking the cart. I'm doing my own thing. i love it. She's phenomenal but i love what she said about that. She's like you know for you and me. It's like we need to find inspiration. Are self something to make it happen when we see that. She's like everything i've learned about. Helias that there's just an answer to the thing you don't need anything else is just like i said i was going to run the race so i have to finish the race. He can't like you know. I love that distinction that it was just like well know. Why are you coming to pick me up. I'm here to run the race. And i'm going to keep going like you know. Giving up is not even a part of the equation. And i just love that. She gave room for that. You know and then she did. It sounded like it was. She had to step in and really just big. Listen if you want this and it's yours take it and she's like yeah. I'm i going to do what game came to run a marathon. So let's run the marathon. You know so you know. And if that's like a characteristic of down syndrome you know that we can expect from our kids. You know michelle like all right at like to me. I thought i was like a really interesting learning thing that it was like. Oh it's not a matter of coaxing is just kind of realizing like no. That's just that's just the answer to the circumstance and that's just the answer to the problem. There's no there's no other route. So yeah i really kind of. I appreciated her making calling out that distinction. I have a confession to make i. I do not like running. Come out and say that right away. But i tried to run a saint patrick's day five k. One time and i ended up cheating five cake guys not not a half marathon five Head across this lawn. I basically only did it to dress up. I just wanted to wear the wig. Yeah i don't know if they count for the. It's definitely for that for the. Yeah yeah so i love. I love hearing kaley. Talk about that too so-called it. I'm very impressed. Yeah so. I'm going to keep following her journey as we mentioned a believe that she ran the first half marathon back in two thousand seventeen since. Then she's done a number of other ones as you heard sandy. Tell us about how she's doing a full marathon coming up here so that's going to be That's her big twenty. Twenty one goal is to hit that so they're training for that and that's just amazing That's gonna be quite quite something. And i'm also very excited about what she said. Was there grandma's kind of living memory project. Where like they're finding races in the places that her grandma thought she had been to know like with alzheimer's and i'm like his. Golly that is so sweet. You know. And so i really hope. They make a degrees. I know that's on the whistle. I'm like odd man. What a cool story if they if they make that happen. And what. A great way to honor her grandma. I really hope that happens for her. I feel like it makes such a big difference. I think it speaks volumes to how impactful like the community is. It's not just our parents but like just that huge influence of grandparents and extended family and just the remarkable kind of impact. They can make on any kid and so you can see that. And that's like you said. I think it's really remarkable. That she's living that out for her grandma. She's just i. It feels guys and all all kind of extend your thoughts into a little bit of a soapbox moment like you know our day and age like we have a very disconnected family unit. You know whatever circumstances that a lot of folks ended up that way obviously like you can't control everything. But i think like if you are grandparents in you're hearing this you know think about that. I take this as an opportunity to say like hey like i can be involved in my grandkids life. You know like there's always a chance to take that they can take that step take that level just once a week. Phone call you know. Call your grandkids just to call them. Don't call them proxy via your parents you know like just call and say hey no i wanted to talk to so and so i wanna talk to you give me my let me talk to my grandkid. You know like you know. Take take that move. I'm going to throw that out there improv. because it's obviously kaley is so driven by her grandma. And i loved at and so i just i just hope you. Grandparent can hear that as an encouragement to leave an imprint on your grandkids lives. Yeah so again. Sandy and kelly. Thank you for joining us on that interview. "Twenty. One need to be an ott deal one. I've never heard a single person do that. So please start. i'm gonna do that also calling it like thirteen hundred hours. Switched to military now. Then i'm of so bad and i must z. So you're gonna say any military time these are like there's a code as twenty twenty one goals is these are by the by calls for you. Okay so these are the same that as a call for help. I think so. Everybody who says said who isn't from a country where that's normal Is is waiting for the intervention to happen and their friends just having gotten to them yet. You got really worried for a second today. I thought the radio is trying to get me to commit suicide They played they played they all. They didn't know they almost did. They play the first song and then they played the second song. Well they played a second song by the by the same band or by the right. You need to clear this up for the new listeners. I don't like to tell people. I don't want to help. People are going to start playing the songs back to back around me trying to kill myself. You don't know you don't have to tell them what the songs are. We have to tell them what. Okay i'll tell him who the artists are. No you just have to sell them like what we're talking about and that's what i'm trying okay. That makes sense. Yeah people probably want to know that two songs play back to back to options like and took hold not loosen for years so the first one plays you're just like sitting there and then just kids matched up with like slugging. Britney spears boss few. we're fine. We're good so there was a one time that i was at. I was having a meeting with my team being manager. Josh and i was like hey team and i just kinda like i don't know why let everyone know in this situation i play. I played one of the songs and i made. Everyone listened to the song and the this morning this morning motivational with these words And i'll even tell everyone what the this one song. I won't tell you i'll tell everybody wants. Is the size making. Everybody listened to nine inch nails. Every day is exactly the same. And everyone's sitting silence the whole team and listen to this song and then i told them that that's what i expect him to go out there and do a good job every day. Exactly the same way every day is great. it's real motivational. Except that's not really how it came off came off. Joshua was listening to depressing music. And then i told them that if they heard a certain song followed by that song playing on repeat coming from the back of the bus that meant that i was dead killed myself while they were working and that is when i decided that was you know if i ever you know here. Those two songs back back. That means they're going to kill myself. So i was just been waiting for the play list. Those two particular songs. I came really close. I've had i've had shuffle. Play them opposite. God back to back the shittiest for suicide note ever sorry ipod dirty around. We'll try again next year and you know like other friends and family. If you're looking at me and go. What did he meet actually going to have to sit there. Well he made a joke one day and you know how he is about. Saint doing what he says is gonna do. Also you know. Just because i a disclaimer. Cody joking about suicide is only funny. When you're not really hurting that insiders people you can reach out to talk to in phone numbers and friends and family. Don't don't leave this fucking earth. Dona don't do that. We're only laughing because we're both here and both know we got each other but also everybody dies. And it'll be okay. Don't have an unhealthy relationship with death that to talk to somebody if you're thinking about doing something by yourself okay. That's that's what i mean. Yeah no positive about death but don't be positive about yes in your own this morning i thought i was gonna half just drive a right and do a wall because the one song played in a different snail song played but who my brain was so panicked waiting to see because every time the song comes on. I just wait to see what the talk. Because i was i. My car in the radio came on. And i don't even listen to the radio on the way to work but that song was already playing inside. Didn't switch over to the plo listening. Any podcast. I wanted to see what the next song was. Just in case. I wanna know whose responsibility is to tell that radio jockey that moore older man that drive at five morning mix that he caused the death. You decided to play those songs back to back. We'll feel this man. Both bad songs to play for your drive to work like oh yeah was a bad morning songs. In general bad morning songs their signs air. The songs that will make you like you like. That's why if you play both back-to-back it's just sad enough to make me do it Like those songs should never be played back to back on the radio. Anyone making programming for radio should know not to play them back to back. So that's why. I have never really worried. Yeah we can only hope that the robot shuffle. god's never never learned this knowledge. So yeah f- anybody wants to know how to kill me now hit me up. Dm spicy milk crew And i'll let you know what songs got to play to get me to off myself. All right guys Solicited spicy milk crew. I'm gonna. I'm cody grizz And as we in this podcast. I'm getting death. Glares to the side of my head from ginny about making too many jokes. She's holding all three cats..

I until they're all so the fender one goal seven assists in four years. Clemson remember. He's a defender sewing scoring from the thunder great. But you're trying to you know prevent scoring so blue from mount verde academy all tournament team in twenty twenty one goal in his eleven games. Eleven starts and in fact his upperclassmen years. He started all but one match. So that's pretty. Good here's underclass time. He started seven games. His freshman year out of thirteen and eleven is sophomore year out of fourteen. So that's not bad. That's pretty good when you have stability as a defender the top drawer. Soccer com team in the week october. Twenty seven twenty twenty and the college soccer news team of the week. October fourth same year. So that seems to be a pretty nice defensive pick for the columbus crew. I say seems like because yeah i mean. The player looks great but until they hit the pitch for their team we supposed to know. So that's why. I always think about round two second. Pick twenty ninth overall for fc cincinnati and they go defender wise and they dive in the american athletic conference for anya flanagan. He's a defender from usf. And apparently i can't look at his profile wonderful so now the first local pick believe it's christopher strickler he goes by christoph a former dayton dutch line in fact had a very nice career with de l. with that head coach dan rice he has picked thirtieth overall and third and second round by the houston dynamo. So congrats the strickler farmer dutch line. I know that's something that the dayton dutch lying folks can hang their hat on. they also have another one. But that's spoilers it's real on through. There are a couple of names. I recognized from that school in columbus. And that's because normally the dayton flyers hold this tournament they hold this set of games and ohio state will come to bojan. 'field ohio state actually traveling to a place. Wow anyway there's a couple of guys that were picked. And i don't mind talking about buckeyes men's soccer because you know you talked about. Is you know football and men's basketball. So you know. I'm fine with this. Cc cc. j. is a defender Good defender he got picked up by the los angeles football club fourteenth in the second round forty first overall and a couple of picks after that probably one of my favorite names joshua jackson catch-up you got drafted by the crew. Twenty fifth in the second round and fifty second overall. This is when the crew picked the draft pick from minnesota on a trade from february twelfth. Twenty twenty when m us rights for aaron schoenfeld went to the looms so a buck i get sustained columbus great defender took. I believe about all the corner kicks for us you. Yeah great player last thing. Ketchup jackson ketchup. Here last catch up. That's awesome so yeah. Definitely probably favorite players..

That's one of my favorites parts of the process. I really liked the plotting and brainstorming process. And i also like the revision process. The drafting is always so much harder. This is this. Is the fun cloudy time where to name. Lots of secondary characters. Search for some reason for me that is that is just an instant key to a character. I can assign them a role in the story. I can decide a lot of things about them but once have a first and last name i just see them as real in a way that nothing else seems to do it for me so like so many writers. I am spending my time these days. Perusing baby named websites. Even though i have no interest in having more children. I love my kids but baby time for my life is his done. We are moving on. But i do love interesting names and all of the fun characters. They can inspire speaking up children today. Have on the podcast. Julie headline of the twelve by twelve challenge dash program where participants work on picture books for the entire year and i have been consistently impressed by the way. I had the shop in a school setting situation. I was still home schooling sunflower. So she was still with me. For two months. I had them dispersed and they all came back full force and That was funny but It was good for me to practice trusting people. And i don't know that was still good and we're still doing that now. Roads is in farm school on fridays. Sperm gosh i want to go to farm school. Oh it's cute. I literally found that. Terry brown of farm school like in so many ways very similar and it is absolute favorite. I felt like i did grow in that area trusting people again. Ironically since last year was such a crazy disaster time in our world but walking every day. I felt like not in the way that i thought i would be walking. I got out of the house so Every day into nature especially during covid because well not for the first two months or i guess you would find it hidden spots like for the first two months but it wasn't. I never walked alone. i thought i would. Do you know all of a sudden all the things that i thought i would be doing alone or with less. Children were not the case so goals were not met but in other ways i was better about not being fearful of getting out on my own to get some fresh air so that was good And what else did i have in there. Oh i felt like with cova. Did our family time came into became intentional Last christmas we had christmas. Just the five of us because they had a newborn and they lived in a new home in a different city. Deja-vu i'm in a new home this year in a different city but last year we were just the five of us and it was fine but possibly because it was by choice did not forced you know like it was still mentally. You know where this year. My mom came over my uncle. Tony came over and it was fine but it almost felt like hexagon. How's everybody feeling. Let's be mindful. let's lake you know i don. I don't know it felt. A little bit hectic. It was all about gifts like i said earlier. Nah that all this time that she was saying i am a woman now they just keep that around my house and see me but i put my fist in the air. Right giving girl. I feel like The time that we had drink co. It in the stuff i wanted to listen to while not during listening to the news was all a lot of really great stuff. I've been doing more purposeful bible studies since we're not like physically going to church and couple of my girlfriends and i i've been going through christine studies and i just really loved those doing a lot of reading and listening to reading so and i don't know that's something that is has been a growth for me so it's an unexpected goal that i didn't know i was going to have that. I have kind of clinton into place. Yeah i don't know that's it that's excited and this is a. This is a great addition. Merce oh are we brave enough to set our twenty twenty one goals everybody. Can we do this. We can throw it out there okay. Mic berg episode next january. Let's backwards now mercedes. We're just about to say how i grow. You were talking growing so jealous. What are your goals this year Okay so For last touched on it briefly. But i think. I've always struggled with the tension of being a mom and being okay with Only that tidal instead of trying to grasp for other things as well And finding my impact in my mother had journey especially in these little years and something that has helped me really do that is to keep bettering myself so like reading in lake even challenge your challenging myself last year. Even though i've run conferences. I've never been speaker of a conference i've done mops and stuff but Ostra got to be a part of gen jones online conference and speak and practice a talk with the one on one person which i was so fun. Katie kasahda. heather's good friend which was so fun and I don't know really life giving so I'm trying to do a lot more writing on my own trying to because i'm not very strong writer but i would like to better myself in writing. "I can do and stuff we can live off of all years. Is there a cut or a piece. That is outside of the norm. When i hear deer or venison it's always like back straps or loins. Baby that's one and the same thing but is there something outside of that realm. That is just as good. That people don't know aren't familiar with all the negroes man a lot of people. Don't you know a lot of people. Discard the neck. But there's good there's too good roast on each side of it in new cook that down and it makes some of the best tacos you've ever had we just kinda braise it down. Put some smoke on it and embrace it down. Break it down. Where it's you know like really really good Season meat and it's real lean. It's really good for you. Is that video that you're going to be working on or have you done one of those already. I have done that when i need to. That's that's one. I can add to my list. That's something we just cook and we usually. We have more deer camp or something like that. But that's definitely what. I needed a video on best christmas gift that you got last month. Our man santa claus bought me a drown. Really i haven't got it's been kind of wendy's can get to fly much but i got one of these a maverick air twos. It's kind of a real. Snow drought fits in the palm of your hand. But it's got camera on a phone at som- kind of took some shots of you know my house and things like that. But i hope to incorporate it with some of the shots for a video or something else you gonna say this gift for you. That is also going to be a gift for rachelle to do some like drone video while you're cooking you never know if i can take to fly. That would be pretty cool. No doubt having you like buzz along as you're working traeger cutting shots. I mean i always think that the drone shots are some of the coolest because they're very steady but then you can raise him up and down. Get those different eye level. Also be interested to see how you incorporate those or if you do incorporate those in the video through the course of twenty twenty one. I saw from video from a recipe standpoint There were a couple of ones that you don you did. The the big Prime rib or the roast beast. I think you were calling it like Like the grinch so and you did that in the in the smoker. And i'm wondering is folks would shy away from that because they're under the impression that there might be a heavy smoke flavor So a is that the case then for folks. That are worried about that. How do you work alongside to make sure that you're not imparting too much smoke on a piece of beef. I mean if you've never had smoked prime rib greg. You haven't lived yet because if you think it's good in the oven man when you just put that essence of smoke on you don't want over smoke one. That's for sure anything over smokes gonna taste bad but a little smoke you know it goes perfect with beef brisket beef ribs chuck roast. The wanna do a prime rib. It's it's really made for the smoker against you can control the temp. You're not cooking as hot and faster putting a little smoke on the outside. You don't need a lot of seasoning. I was mainly salt and pepper on that one is all. It took salt pepper tom. That's a that's it. I remember ten years ago. The way to cook a prime rib or a rib roast was putting it in the oven hitting it with a ton of heat right off the top and then maybe backing it off to a more traditional three fifty to get you to wherever you were looking for and now it just seems that when you do something of this size you give yourself the extra time and you go low and slow to work it up. So you're not going to overshoot even in the carryover you're still pulling a little earlier so you can a lot as at rest to get it to whatever your target temp I typically am accounting for a six to eight degree rise. Once i get it out of the cooker myself but Is that a similar thought for you. Yeah you know something. A lot of that high heat. It i was because you need some of that to get any kind of color at all on it while it's in the oven but when you put it on the pit it's going to get some of that that the caller is gonna come from chemical reaction with the smoke and the temperature your cooking so it allows you to back there's temps off and really not overshoot it. That's the big thing when you're cooking prime rib and you've got this whole expensive roast. You don't overcook it so i'm like you. I give it six to ten degrees of carryover just in case but usually usually goes about seven six to seven degrees. I usually try to stop them by one. Twenty one twenty two something like that let it carry over towards medium rare. But then you have you know. It's such a big piece of meat. There's gonna be some center parts that are more rare and there's gonna be some out towards the end. That are a little more done. So that's the great thing about cooking one of those. You know you can find something for everybody. Mockery joining me here on the shell. Let's talk about twenty twenty one goals for the various entities of malcolm in rochelle realist. Start with the youtube channel. I you guys sit down. As the year starts to wind down or is the year turns and say we're going to plan out three months or six months or do you go a year out to see what kind of goals you might like to hit it. And what are some of those that you look to hit in twenty twenty one well. Yesterday was our twenty twenty one goal day so you had that question this right right perf with youtube. The first goal we said we wanted to do. We wanted to try to do forty videos this year on youtube. So that's a pretty. You know pretty big endeavor for us with our schedule. But we're gonna shoot for that we're gonna try to get a. We wanna hit one point five million subscribers. Hopefully so we've got a little ways to go on. I think or hundred maybe or something like that. Almost four hundred. You save up to get there. I think that's doable. And then we're going we're going to you know we do a podcast too. So we're gonna we've been putting our podcast on our our main recipe. How to barbecue right where we're going to do is we're going to split that off and we're gonna start our own podcast channel and it might not be a good call. I don't know but we're going to focus on recipes on the hell barbecue. I channel in the out barbecue right. Podcast channel be all the other fun stuff. We talk about kinda like you know. That's where you hang out with us and see how our week went. How the recipes. She's another avenue for us. This kind of to to get together and have guest on stuff. I think it's a great additive or supplement to the video so for the folks that are just tuning in or they're just finding you. Maybe they got a barbecue for christmas or a pit of some sort and they're starting to troll through youtube because that's what everybody does nowadays when they're looking at something new and they want advice again on youtube they're gonna find you undoubtedly but if you haven't seen or heard the podcast like to me i like 'cause on the pocket guy of course but i love getting all the inside stuff and here in the inside baseball talk between you and your wife. And she's pissed because editing took too long or she didn't get the right sound shot like this kind of stuff that i like to hear and then it almost makes watching the finished youtube product even more magical for me because in my mind as i'm watching it i'm thinking about what you guys were talking about. You know post shot and now we're watching it happen as we're watching on the youtube channel so i think the podcast is is really cool. I mean do you. Do you talk about download numbers and stuff like that. I mean i get you. I don't watch the podcast video on youtube. I actually downloaded and listened to it as its traditional. Podcast like a lot of folks. Listen to my show verses ally video so do you talk specifically about podcasts. The numbers and downloads and how to grow that to well. We really hadn't talked about the olympics of it. We we kinda track it by us and stuff. We're getting people will watch it but we we don't really get hung up on it. I mean you know as long as one or two peoples watch it. We're okay so really. It's it's been great therapy for me jail because we get to talk out all the differences we have when we were when we're sheeting videos because when it's just me and her you know it's you may look like we're clicking on all cylinders when we're doing it but i'm sure she does the joke the crap out of me and so. Let's us work all those frustrations out and we just let people listen to us. Talk about it. I try to keep it humorous. The best i can. I mean it seems like you guys get along swimmingly every single time so you know if there's tension you've certainly done well the covered up and i'm certainly not picking up on anything so you know kudos to you guys on that part. The other thing is.

It's the first tuesday of a new month. Hell a new year and you know we missed him last month. We have to catch up with the guy the created how to barbecue right the master of killer hogs barbecue. Malcolm reed will be joining us and we'll catch up with him. See what happened last month. How was haunt his gone. Best christmas gift of twenty twenty. What he's looking for two and twenty twenty one goals and benchmarks for the youtube channel for the new youtube channel for the brick and mortar store. You name it got to be a lot of things going on in the world of how to barbecue right. Plus we will talk about fads of twenty twenty come and gone and we will also talk about what he might be predicting for. Twenty twenty one as live fire fads might be and by the way i have to tell you. Twenty twenty one already feverishly coming to a close as you can. Only imagine so malcolm reed. We'll kick it off. Then we will move thirty five past the hour. You would recall one of the most outrageous and shocking revelations. Not even statements. But i'm gonna say revelations of twenty twenty was after years of pushing the suv feed agenda ad nauseam and perhaps recklessly meathead from amazing ribs dot com decided somewhere in the first quarter of last year to back off of it and he didn't back off going one hundred miles an hour to eighty. He did the old mavericks. top gun. hit the brakes and the makes fly right by knows swung up. Everybody blew past him like he stopped that hard on it and said you know what maybe sous vide. Isn't that good on everything all the time. Especially when it comes to stakes. And i couldn't believe it because i had mentioned the last couple of weeks as well as we had gone over that both from a year in review twenty twenty last week and then two weeks ago we did best sound bites and both were sprinkled with soviet style for me and i said geez like that's the only reason i use suveyed if i have a really thick steak and have other things on going to be cooking and i want to pay attention to other things to me. It's perfect stick. That thick asks stake into the bag. Put it in the water. Set of the temperature i want and i don't have to think about it again until i get the grill hot to the quick sear on either side and way goes on. I know it's perfect on the inside. That way i can focus by other attention on some of the other main dishes that might be going on. For example the item. I had been using in the past. Few weeks was cast iron pizza and then a thick steak to join luck. Perhaps steak and pizza don't usually go together in your house. But they do in my house. And i wanted to make sure that the pizza was hitting all the right marks and mistake was not an afterthought because it was a ridiculously great thick asks cowboy rib from snake river farms. Courtesy of jason kaplan executive producer of the our sturgeon. So i didn't wanna screw that up and the pizza. I would rather screw the pizza up from a cost perspective and know that the stake was going to be right. Maybe that could be the catch all or the saving grace if it all the chips were down. But that wasn't the case anyway. Long way to go to sit here and say that meet is backed off and in order to delve back into where suv currently sits today with somebody who is well experienced. He's written e book on it. He's got a blog he's got a podcast all about. It's called fire and water cooking. First timers show darren. Wilson will join me at thirty five patents. We'll talk about all the where his fascination for suv came from and what he thinks best uses are if he thinks if he agrees or disagrees with meathead. Far be it from anybody to disagree with meathead me. Occasionally but sometimes under protests john solberg one hundred percent disagreeing with meet head on every turn but outside of that. Don't really see a lot of people taking meat head to task. We'll see what. Darren has to say thirty five past the hour. I will go to the second hour. Of course not only is malcolm may first tuesday of the month guest but the guy that we know that is now well two plus subscribers on youtube producing three no less than three cooking videos a week at a sam the cooking guy rejoining us and twenty twenty. One have a lot of similar topics that will be talking about saying that. We're going to be hearing malcolm discuss such as most popular video. Twenty twenty leased popular video of twenty. Twenty what he thinks might be the new twenty twenty one food trend as we are just getting underway here in q. One of twenty twenty one and we'll have sam four. A segment may be a little bit of a carry over. But i also want to make sure that. I leave plenty of time. So let's call it the thirty five past the hour in our number two for a mike mills tribute or look back or eulogy. Whatever you wanna call it. I had mentioned last week. It's been one week Mike passed away in the morning on tuesday of last week and i had referenced that made a quick social media post about the last time i sat down with him. And it's been a couple of years when we were down at the end. Bbq the first time the show is technically traveled and done live shows. We did that in fort worth and was lucky enough at the end of the first day to land. Mike mills courtesy of his daughter. Amy and we sat down and did a lot of look back. We did a lot of barbecue. Business talk and we talked about where his legacy is what he would like to leave for legacy. And i went back through and chopped up or seven soundbites that i wanted to play for you of various lengths. Just if you're not familiar with mike if you're just getting into the live fire industry or if you're just getting into barbecue just getting into the restaurant industry. Mike was a unique individual in that. He touched all of the different areas of the live fire industry. He was successful at running restaurants. He was successful at consulting about running restaurants. He was successful in barbecue. Competitions having won memphis in may three different times i will reference that in the look back and a well respected person in the industry. Somebody that was eager to have a conversation with you whether you're just a fan of his or a fan of the restaurant or just a fan of live fire. It didn't matter he was ready to talk to you and had that barbecue conversation with you wherever you were. He was ready to do it so if you're not familiar with him. Excuse me i think this will give you a pretty good insight on the person that he is in the history that he has had and the experiences accumulated over the decades as well by the way barbecue hall of famer undoubtedly. So that's what you have lined up coming at. You malcolm reed fourteen past or next thirty five past the first hour. Darren wilson from fire and water. Cooking sam the cooking guy at ten fourteen and the mike mills look back as.
