I'm always hesitant to say the trump gonna win. the election religion because he barely won Wisconsin Michigan Pennsylvania barely out of the numbers of funny but it's. couple thousand votes. twenty states. so slight turn of events in those states and he loses but. the I give them my but he has a major force in decided I last time I was in that season a comet. the National Review there's a for the last five incumbents won reelection. is it a big reason why the structure of the primary calendar the rules for campaign spending at a party unified by the president and give the power gives the party in power and Norma structural advantage in nineteen eighty six two thousand twelve incumbent presidents had enormous resources to run ads in swing states defining the Republican nominee is the Democrats are power they could defy the Republican nominee when the GOP nominee use all this money to win the primary and didn't have any money left to return fire. the Clinton and Obama campaigns along with the help of the French media define the image of Bob Bob Dole Mitt Romney before the contest even started in two thousand for the bush campaign ran similar advertising against John Kerry and the swing states there's a lot of all the. hi this is in spring two twenty twenty as the democratic nominee is becoming clear the trump campaign will take some of the one hundred and fifty million dollars or so. and use it to run ads defining the democratic nominee is an extremist who wants to ban private health insurance offer taxpayer funded health care to illegal immigrants decriminalize crossing the border illegally raise taxes make it easier to get abortion and act reparations for slavery banned the death penalty all that in there eat babies. I don't know. the baby's. the all the baby some of the baby that. and what trump did last time is going to this time is going to target the small markets. Green Bay Wisconsin. Harrisburg cedar rapids flint Lansing Wilkes Barre Winston Salem. by the smaller markets to define. the nominees issue so all the negatives that that have been working against trump and that people the rattle off about trump you have to any and you're trying to do things that were realized you have to factor in all this massive structural advantage that the nominee the the incumbent **** but he didn't even have Lasker. okay so does the show return of the show with receded to leave and she did this I went down to the Baxter but. remember the story of the. talk to a girl. talk about a girl who three kids Heller down and cut off her dreadlocks member that story and never happened. so one of the themes the first seven we did you go back it was no they were one of the things is how. and it's it's still amazing to talk about it a million times for years but how far people will go to see only what they want to see. but if you want to be offended by some racial thing like receded to the did then you'll find it somewhere as she did with the. chief of police of the Detroit police unlikely he stood up against her but show find race and racial problems everywhere and and just recently received is promoted for racial hoaxes the comment in Catholic school kids jussie Smollett of course and then one of my all time favorite stories of the Atlanta local assembly woman who made up the story about the guy who told her to go back where you came from. and then the guy crashed her press conferences that you're a liar and it turns out she told him let's go back where you came from. that is right when trump said go back to do a lot of are you gonna go back we came from that this is a bit of the whole thing in the office were my favorites are better suited to the promoter that and then the the other one was a twelve year old girl recently who made up that three white girls cut off the dreadlocks. she wanted to see. racial conflict so she saw it when it wasn't there. but check out this backstory that we now know the twelve year old girl the reporter who first reported that story. kia Turner. earlier that day. she tweeted five totally. about a bill called the crown act. in Maryland. it's also known as the natural hair bill and it would make natural hair loss of your employer you can't discriminate people based on their hair style I am so she openly advocated the politicians vote for this bill is a local TV reporter she tweeted on thank you for being a trailblazer this politician I hope prince George's county in Maryland is next I was at the local here for openly advocating for a political for bill which is weird but that same day. she reported on the of the fake hate crime and she tweeted this is why we need the crown act to protect little girls like Amari Alan. I not only that but it turns out that this reporter's grandparents and aunt runs a beauty company called still natural. and the deals with their products. what's the point of all this woman this TV reporter is an activist. at least on this issue she's an activist which yearly biased her judgment. judgment so when she heard the story of this little girl she applied zero critical analysis zero. because the fit into a world views fit into her narrative of the world never asked for any evidence is ran with it through three boys on the bus. we see only what we want to see the ability to overcome that bias is a skill we all need to work on but certainly if you're a Porter. journalist hi Eric this one could be in play today and I think we should every time a congressman congressman. now there so. so smart yeah. amazing when you listen to a because there there are betters. the better than us. so this is a this is an actual congresswoman at today her town hard disk of six I just noticed intellisense I William in here but I think we can we can take this and the intricacies. of. how this argument it's. it's hard to get it first so may will play twice did you do understand it are going on when you first heard it it took me awhile to kind of figure out what what what she was trying to get across. it's because she approached a little differently and that's what makes are so smart that's amazing better than us because people who better than us and look at things from different angles yeah the it's a code and we have to catch up yeah we have to catch up with her so this is twice yes it was Steven such as a congressman outside of Detroit is that one of our town halls..

"By twenty points. Investors remained jittery as the Trump administration's trade war with China escalates. ABC's? Trevor Auld has more effects of the trade war now taking hold with China. Imposing retaliatory tariffs. Markets lost more than a trillion dollars in value Monday. The worst day for trading in months, President Trump still steadfast in ongoing negotiations. This is a a very positive step. I love the position we're in the president giving timely saying it will take three or four weeks until we know if efforts on the trade deal with China have been successful pointing to a meeting with China's president she in late June. We're going to be meeting as you know, at the g twenty and Japan, and that'll be by think probably very fruitful meeting. But the president still insists China will be paying the tariffs. But US importers American companies are the ones on the hook with the cost usually passed onto consumers. One pro-trade group says it could cost the average family of four an extra seven hundred sixty seven dollars per year. We're just seeing him. We're on the price. Icing side, we know because we need to match that price scenes and China's new tariffs are devastating for many farmers. Take the soybean market where China bought sixty percent of US exports before the trade war started, farmers worry. Those days are now gone for good. A lot of farmers are going to have to come up with alternative sources of income. I'm going to start growing a lot of hey, the president is promising to help out farmers. He's offering fifteen billion dollars in new bailout money that's on top of twelve billion dollars already authorized last year. When this trade war was just ramping up. Trevor all ABC news, Washington. There are reports this morning. The White House is reviewing military plans against Iran. The New York Times reports acting Defense Secretary Patrick Shanahan, presented an updated military plan to the White House late last week in reportedly includes sending upwards of one hundred twenty thousand troops to the Middle East if Iran attacks Merican forces or increases its work on nuclear weapons, we have more from ABC news correspondent, Martha Raddatz. According to the New York Times, it was national. Security advisor, John Bolton a hardliner who asked that military plans be updated in the event. Iran attacked American forces in the region or speeds up its nuclear weapons, according to the times this specific plan does call for one hundred twenty thousand troops to the Mideast which rivals the number used in Iraq. But they're always an array of different plans, and it is unclear whether the President Trump and even seen the plans of though, it seems certain he has read about them now. And this comes as the investigation continues into the attacks on a number of Saudi Arabian tankers. US officials telling news the initial assessment by the US team is that Iran or Ronnie and proxies placed explosive charges on the four ships blowing a five to ten foot hole in each of them at or below the waterline this morning, the US ambassador to Saudi Arabia, retired General John Amazon who spent a good deal of time in Iraq is saying that a thorough investigation is needed. And the response should be reasonable and short of war. That's ABC news correspondent, Martha Raddatz. Well, you can find human garbage just about anywhere these days, even at the deepest point on earth. That's the word from a retired naval officer who used a submarine to head to the bottom of the Mariana trench in the Pacific Ocean. "Think I've told Jordan so day once that works with us at NBC sports, Chicago what when he was the coach here, I was really hard on him. Got to your job, really hard. You take it too far. Sometimes I me, of course. So. It was either Luke stock Meyer. Pat boiler marks announced he had to do this thing like two years ago. He started with us where they would break down the key place in the game. Now, Luke and coach do a show called touchdown so takeaways, yeah. Which was on yesterday after four sock live, and but like two years ago, he would come in and break down the key place. So one day they come to me go. Hey, those guys are out today. Could you fill in and do this breakdown of the four key plays three key plays with Wani? And I'm like, oh, God that guy hates me. I was brutal on him. And. I walk in the green room and areas, and I go, hey, coach how you doing? He's like, hey cavalry. I said good. I'm going to be filling in today. So I'm going to be gone through the plays. Okay. Great. Here's what I picked out. Here's the plays. I said coach before we do this. I just want to make sure we're cool because I was pretty hard you when you were here. He's like cap Allison. Number one. I don't pay attention any of that. And if a coach does they got problems number two. We were not very good. Job to do. And that's the entertain analyze. He goes, I don't pay attention to any that. I could care less cool. And he's been awesome. Yeah. I mean to me I don't like what people say guys didn't win here. There's not a game. Well, you know, what I like to think, I know sports and all of them, and I called college basketball games for a living. I didn't average twenty points a game at college and averaged twenty points to the NBA. So if we're going to qualify, the only people who played the game well can talk about it. Well, then a lot of people that I enjoy reading and following job would not have jobs. I remember I interviewed Jerry Angelo so much sent me this why would you have him on? Well, let's see was the GM of a team that went to the Super Bowl that he put together he won multiple division titles. Seat at the highest level doesn't mean you don't have a high level brain career in football, my basketball, mind, sports, sports-minded general, come on guys. Let's go back to the phones. Pastor Dave is our guy. He is on the phone. A pastor. Dave. What's up there, buddy? What's going on boys? How is this? Right. Yeah. How great is this? Brother middle. My sermon I yelled out his Packers week. No, one knew what I was talking about in the epic. They've come to like it when it's an early game. My sermons are shorter. They so they like that that that hasn't happened before. But hey, I wanted to comment I think I have a good theory going back to Jordan's analogy of the girl. Listen, we we had a pretty girl, but she cheated on us. So now when we got the girl in Austin, she calls up and says I'm going to be a little late Mitchell has a bad game here. And there we get those old feelings again like, oh here we go again. But but Mitchell true, he's truly the thing about missile. She wants to be great. We we had great arms. We had we had good athletes, but they need care. I don't even want to mention the name. You know what I'm talking about? He didn't care Mitchell. Pairs leadership is a big deal. He has the intangible we see it he's athletic. But he he puts in the time. He wants to be great. But there's going to be a few times he's ever call up and say Hamlin a little lake. Come back. But we this is going to be okay. He's he's not gonna cheat on it. But it's gonna take it's a relationship. They'll take time. But I love it. I love the fact I gotta Allegra merchants from New Orleans originally, and she was talking to the other day. She said, oh, we're afraid to play your bears you how long it's been since someone said there play the bears crazy. Hey, y'all have a great brain for you guys people as you to grant holiday. Appreciate it. Three one two three three two three seven seven six. K C is on the west side of the great city of Chicago, my father, my late father, Westside guy grew up on oak street went to Marshall high school. What's going on? Guys, go today. What's going on with you? Oh, man. I can't talk about Mitch man talk about Mitch. So I just want to stay this as quarterbacks as we had before in our history. Definitely the last real. Well, we have that we paid all that money to who. I choose not. Because name this time, we got it. Right. And I'll I'll state this and L stand behind it until until Mitch retires. This is the thing Mitch had different office is he's been an NFL. Now. This is his second one. I believe. Yep. And that just shows the his IT is very hot. It's a have a high IQ quarterback that makes a difference in this league. Not only that the baby you put him together with a what a coach like Nagy who that's a hand in glove fit. And as fans, honestly, we've never really had a coach and quarterback Hanan gloves fit like this. So that's why we're able to see the progression or offense. Like last year. I think we're ranked thirtieth office this year from ranked twenty. By the way on the incline. And this is a his first year under this coach. So I really believe honestly in if not three years four years Mitch is probably going to be like either the third or second best quarterback in this league. And it depends on what happens with the breeze or Rogers. So I mean, we got it guys. We got like this year. Well, see what's going to happen in the playoffs. That's really what we're gonna find out. What we have a quarterback. But they couldn't be anything better for him. He's going to the playoffs in the second year of his the NFL. Hey, have a great holiday. Okay. They've got three one two three three two three seven seven six. Phil says he has something that you need your. Oh, I don't know. What were doing their camp? Arolla? What's going on sparkles? I was talking to you last night on Twitter a little bit. And I had a question for you. And you told me about the contest so what did being in the Christmas season? I was wanting to send an SAT book for dummies to Jordan, I wouldn't mind. Love it you happy a dummies. So yeah, I'll definitely take one of those. I probably need that my friends, right? He's got gotta get a minimum twenty one. Tell me this film. Christmas guy equipped to get that twenty one. You think brother? Jury still out on that. Thanks, buddy. By the way, we're down to the finals of the Waddle and Silvy fantasy. I saw your chest puffed out tweet yesterday. The go-to to the top this year for you to maybe I pass it off worse to be. We'll be battling Sylvie for the title about that. You gotta you. Gotta get shot. You feel good. I don't know. I'm okay. We got an okay team. This. There's some there's a prize at the end of this for you. Right. No. I think maller might have or dolomite have a goofy trophy. But I don't think there's any real partner would do sit there with take that test to take an offer to do it York's offered to do it. And I can promise you, I will not offer it. Wow. Not gonna brothers man. Did you offer nude suit from the Thompson center didn't have one of my size, brother? Sorry. Some of us are blessed. We have sold to together. Anyway, three one three three two three seven seven six Jerry in Lockport, Illinois. Hey, Jerry, what's up, but hey, guys aid doing really enjoying the show this morning? Thank you. And I do not wanna be the guy that compares this team too many many years ago eighty five, but I'm gonna tell you what this team reminds me of they remind me of the eighty four. There's a lot of people are saying, yeah, they they needed that year to get better opened up semis within the league. And they had to go through that loss of San Francisco. And we all know what that led to an eighty five. I don't see them making the Super Bowl. I see him playing New Orleans for the championship a decent game. And next year could be a phenomenal year. I just don't see it quite this year. They they need to learn they need to learn a few more things that they haven't been challenged with. And they just remind me so much of what the fourteen had to go through. Yeah. I remember watching that game. In washington. I was at the game. I was watching a Jerry thanks for the call and they hit Pat Dunsmore Goodell number eighty eight and a half back pass from Walter Payton. They pulled the upset Twenty-three three nineteen. And then they went to San Francisco and got their head kicked in. Head kicked in Twenty-three. Nothing. Do you see the correlation though, the agree? I do I do a lot. I do. I this is still crazy. We're beginning season. You think you'd be comparing them to the eighty four bears sprite eighty-five five. Win the Super Bowl. This doesn't end with a Super Bowl title people. Whatever happens Mitch can go out and have a bad game in the playoffs or the defense gets exposed in a game. Everyone's gonna be mad. Everybody mad. I told you they weren't that. Good. Just enjoy the ride ride. This thing is hard as you can to let throws you. And maybe maybe just maybe you'll be watching a Super Bowl champ regardless regardless of what happens. Yeah. Be greedy absolutely be greedy. And enjoy it but be greedy. But just understand that the got a great coach who's got a good culture, who's got great pieces, and who is growing and cultivating this franchise in a very positive way. So this isn't a flash of the lightning in a bottle a great gym in downers grove is next. Hey, Jim, what's up, buddy? Hey, guys. I sometimes get criticized like you're not with tax people. Just like I really liked what you did with box. I talked you gave up an opportunity to express themselves. Don't criticism for the Pat and let them take a little bit of credit. So I just wanted to say that was really a great job. Appreciate that. Thank you for listening to the show. There you go Jim and downers grove three one two three three two three seven seven six Jeffries in glencoe. He's next. Hey, jeffrey. Doing. Appreciate it. Listen MSCI is the talk with other Chicago Bears. All my. Even or you don't. Happen. And he doesn't he can't throw it downfield. He happens. Do you realize how horrible an analysis that is? That's what twenty is totally disagree. Ground. He run the he's just out a good quarterback. He's a second. He's a first round second pick. He should be an outstanding quarterback pulled out Jeffrey he's completing sixty five percent of his passes. Do you know what Bobby Douglas completed in his best year of his career? Best year was bears career. He completed forty five percent of his passes. That was as a rookie forty five percent. TDC through in his career year nine come on man, you're smarter than this Jeffrey, you're. Mitch. Venzke? Yeah. You get his name is true. Not trubisky. And if you put their stats up just go on your computer, pull up the stats, Bobby Douglas who I love. He's a great guy his stats next.

"Be rankings. Come out tomorrow consider this Freeview or the way things should be. What are you doing with Ohio State after sixty to sixty? Oh. Consequently, what are you doing with horrible off your Michigan fan where is Oklahoma gonna be going into the big twelve championship game? And then where are they going to be going out of it? And whether any of these matters because Alabama just finished the regular season where nobody laid them inside twenty points. Does anybody the last team to do that? Yell Alabama eighteen eighty eight. Yeah. Yeah. Before you go back to the show. I remember Israel to start with you is it Oklahoma at number four Ohio State at number four is in somebody else. I mean, it might be Georgia. But if it's me, I'm putting Oklahoma there because if you look at Ohio State versus Oklahoma, first of all Oklahoma's been ahead of Ohio State for a while now. And if you look at the teams that they've lost you it's obvious that Ohio State losing to produce a worse loss and Oklahoma losing the rivalry game to Texas and that game was a last second three point game here. I think Oklahoma and the big twelve or getting this reputation is heading they give up to twenty points as no way, they can hang with these other teams. Oh, well, they're winning in a big five conference and Oklahoma has in the past. You know done it before they beaten these SEC teams in the past. So to me, it's Oklahoma. And I don't think there's one okay? Ohio State have a win against Alabama in recent history as well, Israel, Gutierrez that's gonna Frank guy. Sola? Well, I think it's going to be Georgia this way the committee protects themselves because if Alabama ends up losing you could conceivably put both teams in the final four. But when I look at what happened over the weekend. Ohio State was the most impressive team. It seems like nobody wants. So high stated in there after what happened during the off season and into the start of the season. But that performance against Michigan was pretty compelling. Jackie macmullan. I agree with Frank. Who does not look like Al Pacino today, and I'll state they were so dominant, and that that loss to Purdue that you're talking about is he that was October. Twentieth. For me it almost feels like a lifetime ago now. And that's how this community always thinks. What have you done for me? Lately. If we haven't learned anything about the college game. That's what we've learned to pin sixty two points on the team that we thought was the best defensive team in the country number four Michigan who they ranked number four. It's got. Well, I got to say maybe we and by we I mean, Yuki Musavi we're wrong about Michigan's having the best defense in the country. We'll take the points off everybody sarahspain, please join us. I actually agree with Frank. It's gonna be Georgia. Because as he said that then allows them if by chance Georgia beats Alabama to keep them voting. I also think that you know, as much as I understand Jackie's point that. Yes, absolutely recency bias comes into play. And that win over Michigan was a huge one. I don't think it's fair to look at the. Loss like the Purdue loss and some of their near wins against teams that aren't as good and make those loom larger than what Oklahoma is done in my opinion. It's Oklahoma spas. Really want to add something. Yeah. I don't think the committee needs to protect itself against Alabama losing first of all they're not gonna lose second of all they lose to a number five ranked Georgia team or a number six ranked Georgia team. They're still going to be in that semi fine. I don't think that's necessarily can. I just talk here for a second. Because Kenzi Milton injury. Just destroys me to see him. Go down like that. You see it? Let's just talk about them just for a second give them their due right here..

"But I think Kentucky is a little bit of a fraud as we'll talk about more as we go forward throughout the season here, but twenty point loss at LSU. Jake from gets benched. Now you've got a little bit of a quarterback controversy. And like I said earlier on when it comes to Penn State Bruin here they didn't play anybody that can expose the weaknesses from what they lost last season. Georgia, really in that same breath, they hadn't played anybody either up until they played LSU. Oh, they got out physical, they got manhandled. Now the bye week before the cocktail party against Florida, I think Georgia's in trouble. I think this is a team that has a very, very uphill climb to the college football playoff. Yeah. I mean, they play enough good teams, but if they keep winning at, they'll make, they'll probably have a good chance to get back in the playoff. But the question is, do you really think they can win those games? I will say, I know a lot of people really think highly Justin field. So it'll be interesting to see what happens their quarterback from it. Certainly done a pretty good job. You know, last year and this year, but thing most people think the Justin fields has a higher upside and does shake from for be really interested to see what what happens there, if there is going to be a switch, you'd think during a bye week would be a pretty good time to do it. Like you said. I think the biggest surprise there in that game was Georgia got pushed around in the trenches, the only three point eight yards per carry and LSU running game that really added been tremendous year had two hundred twenty five yards on the ground against them. Kerpen smart couldn't have been very happy about that. I think the Georgia's still a pretty good team. You know, what are they gonna. To do going forward. I think this is. I think they'll be fist in my PR's this week. So you know, Georgia, I still think it's certainly good team, but you know what's going to happen with them going forward. I think this one's that to be determined because if that quarterback switch does happen or if they play both quarterbacks, you know, I don't like the two quarterback systems. You know, keep switching one guy in out at it. It seems like you know, as we've said before one good quarterback seems to work out a lot better than to switching in and out. So I, I don't know what to say about Georgia, but I do think that I, I'd be careful not to get to on them. I dropped on about four points in my Paul ratings, and I, I think I was just a little bit too high on them anyway to begin with. But again, they finally stepped up in class against somebody and they didn't show well. And again, I think south growing a very inconsistent team. So now I've got a lot of vested interest in that gaming. It's Florida at a neutral site in Jacksonville in two weeks to see what Georgia is actually made of and also see, you know what Kirby smart does on the offensive side with the quarterback position. All right, get..
