So i think you know this is like one of the few players in the nfl that could have true three down potential. So i love this thing is going great. And and the thing that we can't forget is like what an elite athlete. This guy is like. He's a rare athlete so I think all those points are great. And i think they're offensive line is saw too. I don't remember if you mentioned that like they just have kind of all the pieces there for him to really break out. Here's what i want to of an danny's and Antonio gibson was gonna be on his list can chime in here too. So derrick henry led the nfl and yards from scrimmage last season with thousand one hundred forty one yards. Dalvin cook was next with one thousand nine hundred eighteen. So let's say to meet s. He's gonna have to get a lot of touches to to get there. No question is stay healthy. He's got to overcome this issue. But i mean based on his see this is what i liked that he really excelled as an early down rusher in his first season in the nfl yet. His background is in pass. Slot receiver in the nfl on a lot of people were saying that but then he's used as like a true old fashioned ball carrier in his first year. He's still got that pass catching equity and You know if he's able to if everything can kind of come together than we can hit this prediction but Yeah i it's it's gonna take a lot danny. Yeah i mean i it. It is one of those situations. I think where you have to have like everything go right and in fact i was just looking. I don't think there's any running back last year. That hit eight hundred yards receiving alvin. Kamara ahead seven hundred and fifty six So this is this is definitely like an ambitious goal for him or whatever prediction but I mean i still love it. I think it's great. I think also the defense is probably going to give them plenty of good field position like situations where you know. They're not going to have to be digging themselves out. A lot of holes are gonna have situations where they get like at the fifty yard line or whatever because at defenses so good when you guys were talking about the cowboys earlier. I wanted to be like what about the what about washington you know because i think their defense is so good in this. Offense takes a jump. Like i think it could fitzpatrick at quarterback. Whatever i wanted to get a running back on this list. So this is my only running back spoiler alert maybe just running back really hard to predict. He's not a lot of them. They're hard to find. But i did want to pick one that is. Jonathan taylor was rookie last year. He's going around one of seven right now which is probably where he's going to be going undergoing very very high one of my comments that would be remember when dalvin cook went one zero seven ish last year instill would seem like he grossly outperforms his rap capital right or at least extremely netted Capital was a beast. That's how i anticipate Jonathan taylor this upcoming season. I know he had a strong season last year. I get it. But he's going to be in a second year of the season. I don't care the recent marlon mack one extra year. These are all. Just things just aren't gonna matter if jonathan taylor is the guy that we think. He is in a team that what's most likely still be fairly. Run centric mueller. rampart tournament. Thirty two carries last year have double digit touchdown. He had a good year. And so this one is you know again really high up the adp in in the food. Sharp but i still think that he the food food chain all right well taken over. I mean i don't care. See what you've picked here. There's not a lot to go off of because you know outside the quarterback changing still a lot of similarities around him. I just think he's prime for a big jump. Potentially the same way that dalvin cook had last year. I i like him i like him. He had a really good year last year. He's gonna get a ton of touchdowns their offense figures to be probably better we'll see what happened with carson wentz i. I'm still a believer. But we'll see ya know i like it. I think and like you said there's only so many good running backs this year. If you're you know for redraft leagues you really have to grab your running back in the first round there. It's really hard to justify taking a receiver or or even tighten or any of the position than running back in the first round because there is such significant. Drop off at that position. Yeah and he had one two three three games with under ten carries in a game that he just missed outright. So there's four potential games there that if you just stick him with one of his you know seventeen carries and just paste that out for the rest of the season That alone will have a little bit of a a notch up in terms of the staff. But i think overall everything across the board. We'll just work better for him. And let's not. Let's not forget about the additions at you know. Potentially if the offense take the next step so okay. Who's your who's your first player. Yes so my first players maclaurin And his adp has right now. It's looking like third around ish somewhere in there and we'll we'll talk about him a lot from between now and the beginning of the season. He's my one of my two or three favourite receivers this here. I think he's gonna be undervalued. No matter no matter what He had a monster year last year. So he's he's entering. Its third season. He had eighty seven catches over a thousand yards four touchdowns he was on a team. They just didn't have any quarterback he's on a team that you know the redskins or the washington. Football team was in the top ten in pass attempts. They tried throwing the ball. They just had kyle allen. Dwayne haskins a hampered alex smith and now they get ryan fitzpatrick who is a as we've coins the the nickname on the show. God's gift to fantasy wide receivers so ryan fitzpatrick's and a common there and just sling the ball all around the field Tear maclaurin had twenty three over twenty three percent of the team's target share percentage So he's going to be the guy he's a stud and you know. Hit the really. The only area where he lacked last year was touchdowns. He had four touchdowns because they they had trouble scoring I don't think that'll be the case with ryan fitzpatrick maclaurin locked to have comfortably over eighty catches over eleven. Hundred twelve hundred yards. And i think he's gonna get ten plus touchdowns this year. So i think maclaurin is gonna make a pretty. He's now depends on how big compared to some other players on this on my list had a rough year last year so his leap won't be as big compared to them because he's you know. His floor was already very high based only last year. But i think he's going to improve in every single statistic. And i think he's going to at least double his touchdown output on my list too so i won't try and you know just retail ditto. That i he was one of those. Kinda like taylor you know. I had a really good seconds. year in the nfl. And i think it's kind of obvious that lucky would lean towards this with with the with the ryan fitzpatrick edition. He did have as you mentioned the mid twenty percent target share percentage which is actually fairly consistent to the prior year in but he still had a much better year than his first season..

It was around thousand ten. So the discrepancy there with with d k and lock it i think is a little too big and You know it keeps those you know those. Those poor games limited a little bit more this year. I think he could be a salad wide receiver too high or low end wide receiver. One that you're getting pretty late decisions like that is what propelled you to three division championship last year in three main event divisions in the f. fcc I get the feeling that this is step up for you this year. It is for me too. I'm enjoying the slow drafts. And and yeah i. I've never drafted this much. And i wish. I could say my drafting had been prompted by such exceptional. Play as as you had. So you're gonna and this is the first live main event in the pc for you correctly are you. Are you okay good. You're have i. I've been in four at the main event leagues that have been online. But this'll be my first time like yeah You're gonna you're gonna have a blast. What that means for him but as long as announced as healthy i think he's he's north of one hundred forty targets Always has a chance to lead leading receptions. And you know Twelve hundred yards is easy with the easily within reach. Yup are there. Any other chargers wide receivers that you think could be relevant to season and i must repeat. I don't think that this today show but we can't lose fact a lose sight of the fact that hunter henry is no longer on the team and he was second on the team in targets last year. So dave any other charters wide receivers. I wouldn't do anything more than throw the dart mike williams with a late round. Pick just as bench depth to see how he does the first month of the season He didn't connect with herbert the same way. That keenan allen did the same way that hunter henry did. And i'm nervous that he's kind of pegged to this limited role of downfield threat. Who doesn't necessarily get a lot of catchable consistent reliable targets on a week to week basis. And i don't know if they've got a number three guy that i would like anything. Better than like dynasty dart throw like tyron johnson brought his name fifty and five thought that he had a chance to maybe step into that number three roll. We'll see if he does We'll see if they don't draft somebody and put them into that role. So i i really think keenan allen is just a great spot to be the continued target hog there and mike williams is at best buy week replacement receiver with some potential to become a touchdown manual. Like we've seen from him on occasion. If you're looking for a pattern. He falls into the pattern of what we've seen each of the last two seasons and hopefully happens for him..

He was always the touchdowns within though. I mean that's the only four. Yeah when you think about this. If a team through thirty three touchdown passes that wouldn't be. That would be pretty reasonable this day and age in the nfl. And that's how many the panthers have thrown in their last two seasons combined and he has oh and he has eight of them so he's not catching a lot of touchdowns but they've thrown like seventeen and sixteen touchdowns. I remember the breakdown but thirty seventeen in two thousand nine hundred sixteen twenty twenty. It's he's got like twenty five percent of their of their touchdowns basically and It's just they just don't throw enough so well. I think one thing that i was changes. That and there. You know in the trademark shawn watson not to overlook anything that's going on with him off the field but if he's a member of the carolina panthers and everything is fine than dj more can have that type of season that makes him a first round..

"You've gotta guess number. I wanna say seven or eight twelve. It might be my seventh or eighth bonus podcast but we're up to twelve now. Full dozen started with zach a couple of weeks ago and might end with golladay well for net. Maybe we'll see if four net and maybe another player sign at around the same time. I'm sure we'll will wanna talk about it then but it's exciting. This is fun stuff. This is things happening in dominoes. Falling in the nfl. Yeah and so golladay gets four years. Seventy two million dollars. Forty million guaranteed. Where do you have. Kenny golladay ranked. I've got him as a number two receiver and that's p or non. Pr top twenty still but not near where we were. Drafting last year Someone who is still going to be a solid starter in your fantasy lineups but not someone that you're going to look at it and say all right that guy's got a shot to be a top five fantasy wideout. Do you have him ahead or ahead of or behind the tampa bay wide receivers. I got behind them. I think especially. Npr godwin i think is a pretty easy one to to put him behind. And feel like he and mike evans. or kinda. Sorta the same guy touchdown volume not necessarily target volume driven wide receivers. Big physical outside guys. So i'll take the one that's been getting thousand yard seasons for seven straight years catching passes from the goat versus golladay. Who got banged up last year and is catching passes from daniel jones. Definitely not to go. And do you have the rams wide receivers or golladay more like a skunk than a goat. I have woods one spot ahead of golladay in full pr. And i've got cooper kupp way down cup somebody that we're going to have to evaluate at some point this off season getting the the new addition at quarterback with matthew stafford. Maybe were a little too low on him. Maybe there's some value there. But i've got alad golladay ahead of them right now because he's never been a target monster as you said he you know you could hundred and fifteen hundred and twenty targets. That's kind of been his pace. I could get into it a little bit more where he was really playing differently than that. In in matthew. Stafford's eight healthy games in two thousand nineteen because he had one game with just two targets. That was marvin jones when martin's four touchdowns that game was uninvolved but other than that he was getting number one receiver type of target seven to ten targets every game. I don't know that he's gonna get that with the giants but he has shown that he can be very effective and catch some touchdowns on a hundred twenty target pace. Okay so so. Let's take the four healthy games. He played in twenty twenty small sample size but he was on pace for eighty catches. One thousand three hundred fifty two yards eight touchdowns on only one hundred twelve targets and two thousand nine hundred and ninety gave you the numbers top ten wide receiver. Top five and nine. Pr eleven touchdowns on one hundred sixteen targets and in just the games with matthew stafford. He was on pace for one hundred and eight targets and eight touchdowns so an eleven hundred yards with stafford as much better with one hundred twenty four targets fourteen touchdowns and seventy catches and one thousand two hundred and eighty yards so the bottom line is among the leaders in yards per catch. You could get your sixteen seventeen eighteen yards per catch. And he's a red zone target. He's a green zone target. So you know can't can he get close to double digits eight touchdowns in this offense. I think that's the ceiling. That's what i was gonna say when you were going over his his per game pace without stafford clearly. That's going to be the case in new york. I think he can get that high. But that's the ceiling and the floor could be. I mean we saw last year. No giants receiver at more than three touchdowns. so yikes. but. I don't think anybody's really questioning kenny. Golladay is ability here. I think it comes down to daniel jones. And how well he can get golladay. The ball no qualms about how matthew stafford was able to get him. The ball with stafford. And with the other quarterbacks and in two thousand nineteen can't top ten year in terms of consistency. He's done that each of the past two seasons. He's giving you at least fourteen. Pr points in twelve of his last twenty games. That's tied but it also has to do with the quarterback and that's really where i get nervous. Daniel jones Had seventy five point. Two percent of his throws considered on target last year. That was twenty seventh in the league. Twenty seventh seventeen point. Six percent of his throws were considered poor. That's the bad throw. Rate that i talk about a lot. That was middle of the pack. That was fifteen th okay not that bad. Here's some good news and then some really terrible news good news. He was eighth. Best indie adjusted completion rate on deep throws just over half of his throws were completed deep eighth best in the league. Okay that's good. We like that for kenny. Golladay that'll help. Intermediate throws two thirds of them adjusted completion rate. Eighteenth best in the league so again. We're back the middle of the pack. This is what drives me nuts. Daniel jones on shallow throws ten yards or closer. To the line of scrimmage thirty seventh in the league in adjusted completion rate at seventy seven point seven percent even if you add. Five percentage points on because a lot of quarterbacks are jumped jumbled together because percentage is so high he would have been only twenty second. He would have been as good as cam. Newton at eighty two point. Whatever eighty two point seven percent. So i'm worried about those short throws not being marr- obviously i'm worried about his ability to command an offense when he's coming off of the season where can't even throw fifteen touchdowns he's he's got a turnover issue the offensive line. I think is going to be a huge problem. Giants have to get it all fixed and if they do then god he's got a shot to be better than what i'm saying but if not i think he's going to be kind of a meandering fantasy wide receiver who will have a handful of very nice games but more often than not will be kind of math like twelve thirteen. Pr points seven and nine non pr points. I wanna talk about the fit here. Because dave you talked about the adjusted. Completion percentage which talks which gets rid of drops passes that were bad. At the line of scrimmage spike spikes throwaways those types of things. Yeah but i think one you've heard me lament that giants wide receivers. Just get open and you see daniel jones force a lot of passes into tight windows because his guys cannot get open. That is actually not kenny. Golladay strength he is not that kind of player. And i've heard. I saw comparison that said he was a poor. Man's to sean deandre hopkins. Who also isn't like that but they catch a lot of contested balls so that's great catching contested passes. But he's not a guy that gets the short area stuff is not going to be a strength. But yeah i do. I do wonder if it's a good fit. And because you know you do have the downfield stuff. That's golladay strength. that might be daniel jones strength. We're not sure also. This is hard okay. Two years ago they had a great year. Did you know that two years ago. That was daniel jones rookie season. He made twelve starts the giants and the lions scored the same amount of points that year. So if you're thinking man he's such a downgrade offensively the lions to the giants. Well when god eight had his best season. Twelve hundred yards eleven touchdowns they scored. The same. point was only two years ago last year. the lions didn't have a good offense either. The golladay was out most of your but the giants had a terrible offense. They were second worst offense in football. They had a much better defense and they threw the ball a lot less than that is my big concern if they have a good defense again. I'm a little skeptical. But i don't think it'll be bad. But if they have a good defense again and they get saquon barkley back and they go and they they run the ball like they want to. And you've got shepherd and you've got ingram and you've got slayton and you've got barkley. How are you going to get one hundred and ten targets. How are they going to get enough volume. This is a team. Daniel jones to thirty two passes per game last year. It was about thirty eight the year. Before when i said you know the target was in targets was slayton. Right receivers yes. He had incremental tonight.

"The game we most fans remember. Andy Reid foremost is super bowl. Thirty nine and especially how the game finished up in the last six minutes. But let's set things up here just a little bit coming into Super Bowl all thirty nine. Both the Patriots and Eagles were the best teams in their conference. Both number one seeds both had tremendous seasons. The Patriots went fourteen and two that season season as they were looking for their third super bowl title in four years. Obviously Tom Brady was just beginning his run as the greatest quarterback of all time but he'd already established himself as a two time superbowl champion. And so the odds were stacked against the eagles a little bit in the Super Bowl although the eagles were far and away the best team team in the NFC that season having gone thirteen and three really they were essentially a one loss team. They lost to the Pittsburgh steelers in the middle of the season but they had clinched the number for one seat in the conference with two games left in the season and basically didn't play anybody in the final two games and that's why they went thirteen and three. The Eagles probably could have been a fifteen in one team if they'd actually played their starters in the final two games of the season but thirteen and three is nothing to sneeze at and it was certainly good enough to get them the number one seed in the playoffs The Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings rather handily in the NFC divisional round and then in the NFC championship game. As you heard me talk about on the last edition of BG and memories when we took a look back at the ten greatest moments in Eagles NFC championship game.
