"On MSNBC. This was the front page of the Tulsa World newspaper today. Main headline there trump in Tulsa. President, coming to do a big rally event, until says the main headline, but then look at column one. The other may news of the day in the front page of the Tulsa World. New Cases Surpass Peak Tulsa County Seven Day rolling average more than doubles the peak that was hit in April. And you can see the lead of that story there right there above the fold Cova. Nineteen and Tulsa County is surging well beyond its original. April peak disappointing. Those who hoped the disease might at least stay somewhat under wraps during the summer heat like the flu or common cold. Tulsa County Seven Day rolling average of new cases is now more now more than double the peak that Tulsa hit in April. The county also just reported the most new cases on a single day yet. Again, that's that's the front page of the Tulsa World in Tulsa Oklahoma today. Vice President Mike Pence recently said that the trump campaign picked Tulsa for the president's reelection rally this week specifically because they've done such a great job flattening the curve and stopping the virus there. That's not at all true. The viruses actually off to the races there and it is the worst. It has ever been throughout the duration of the epidemic, both in Oklahoma broadly and in Tulsa specifically. we will have more on that coming up. But the president announced the Tulsa campaign rally right after he moved the Republican convention out of Charlotte North, Carolina this year. Because he he didn't want to do anything. At the Republican convention to mitigate the threat of corona virus and so north. Carolina basically said no, thanks then. While in Charlotte, North Carolina here's the front page today of their local paper Charlotte, news observer quote Governor Cooper asked pence for help with testing. And again you can see the lead there above the fold governor Roy Cooper says he's spoken with Vice President. Mike Pence about the states. Corona virus infections, and the need for testing the governor says the State is monitoring hospital capacity as new infections in North Carolina hit record numbers in the past few days. As have hospitalizations and North Carolina? On that front page you can also see the other major headline above the fold page. A one is about how the state's nursing homes are unable to contain the corona virus at this point. The president has also reportedly decided to do another campaign in Alabama sometime soon. Well, here's the front page of the Montgomery advertiser today. Virus infections rise among Alabama prison staff. Here's the lead Corona virus story at live right now. Hospitals in several Alabama cities now seeing all time highs in corona virus, patients quote the number of covid nineteen patients in hospitals in Birmingham Tuscaloosa, Montgomery indicator has hit all time highs this month filling beds and taxing staff as the state struggles with a wave of new cases. Alabama. Here's the front page at the Arizona. Republic tonight. Arizona reports record high new covid cases. And then here's big front page Feature Story Today, headline I am taken aback. Here's why Arizona's Covid nineteen trajectory is concerning, and here's the leader of that story where you can see. They got the quote for that headline. From the perspective of Arizona Emergency Room, physician Dr Murtaza Actor, the covid nineteen pandemic. Here could be even worse than the state's numbers are showing doctor doctor says quote. I am taken aback I walked into the hospital today and I was like Oh my God. Dr Actor who both Floors Hospital and Valley wise. Health Medical Center in Phoenix says quote. We are getting all sorts of patients who looked quite sick. Paper Continues Trend Lines are moving up and Arizona. Total hospitalizations have doubled since April the number of new daily cases reported by the state have recently reached record levels. Doctor Doctor says quote. It's very important for people to know that whatever your politics may be whatever your family members may be doing. Whatever you WANNA. Do for fun. There really is a huge pandemic. It is important to distanced even if you weren't sick. In Arizona's second largest city, in Tucson as of yesterday morning the Tucson Medical Center had just one remaining bed available in its ICU. One ICU bed left. Tucson Medical Center spokeswoman Julia strange writing in an email to the Arizona republic quote. We have been very constrained within our ICU because of the recent spike in covid nineteen cases. The, Republican reprints these graphs from the Cova tracking project showing the kind of company that. Is In right now. Take a close look at that What that is you see the headline their daily positives. That's the graph of daily numbers of positive cases in Texas and Arizona and North Carolina and South Carolina. Look at how steeply those numbers are rising. This also from the covid tracking project is the graph of hospitalizations in the states again Texas Arizona North. Carolina South Carolina. That's bad. In Texas, they have just set five consecutive days of record hospitalizations, and this is the front page of the Texas Tribune. Right now Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott assuring. Texans that there are plenty of beds plenty of hospital beds to go around. Never mind the five straight days of ever increasing record numbers film up. They can take way more. So it's okay. If the daily number of new infections keeps hitting new records as well, let's just see how high we can go I mean you see the secondary headline on the front page there which is a little discordant with that message from the Governor Secondary Headline on the front page of the Texas. Tribune tonight is this Texas, Governor Greg Abbott blames people in their twenties for the latest increase in Corona virus..

T. is we have people destroying the Lin family estate down and burnt downtown Birmingham let's be mindful that property does not belong to the city of Birmingham it belongs to the lane estate dilemmas they allow Birmingham city of Birmingham to utilize that property you have the Confederate daughters and the family the limp the the lane family who built that whole built that land that that land belongs to them Lynn was into banking when he came out of the civil war he hated the war so much that he came home and he actually built these iron and iron company some of these are companies right here in Birmingham Lynn is the founder of Birmingham and built this inbuilt Birmingham on top of that Lin also was a renowned banker a banker people out here protesting the black community is out here protesting and don't even know that Lindor bank merged into regions bank if you're so angry and you want to protest I I challenge every black person who work in the regions bank to quit their job today because this is stupid in this retarded hearing someone's property down in that part does not amount to did not amount to anything but if you really want to protest I I challenge you to quit your livelihood to day if you work at regions bank and close your but your regions bank account because it had blends bank Liz banks merged into region it pisses me off that people don't even know history they don't even know the details of the Lynch family and they don't even understand what they're doing this is retired not yeah when I when I see the pro testing I'm you know I get it Tammy I understand the frustration of what's going on with racism in this country and and people black community gets to a boiling point is like another already what I don't get is what you're describing is how people destroyed property steel television sets and booze out of liquor stores smashed storefront windows spray buildings down and set things on fire that to me just distracts from the message that needs to be heard about how we need to be dealing with each other and change through a changed heart with people and bring a lot of the situation I just don't think that they're getting anywhere with the message by doing all the rest of that craziness point it we if we're upset about police brutality and the man's life innocent lives have been taken been left focus on that you know this but let's not go into a whole nother world went on destroying someone's property and you're screaming black power it is black how then why are you destroying black businesses that people took time and dedication to save money and built it and build a business you're down downtown the showing black business it isn't always black power what do you a protester agitator I think that the protest the peaceful protest shouldn't have even happened because then it brings on agitators station and he's had it if you want to protest the sit down and pray about it because the word clearly tells us JT that even Jesus would be out there protests in he would not be out they protest everybody need to get in they were and get back to Jesus that's what we need to be doing Hey man thank you for a list of presets and thank you for the call I mean very very well said seven forty Alabama's morning news the mayor of Tuscaloosa will join us he also had protests peaceful in his city over the weekend as well he'll be here in three minutes Alabama's morning news one oh five five we are see gusty goal as it tracks and sells so many homes he consistently knows about great homes before they hit the market if you want a media access to.

"I was just off the grid and it was great and then all sentencing everybody into a panic and then like all of a sudden you know it spiraled into my my opening act. My Buddy Josh was getting. He was getting panicked emails and panic. This and panic that of what's it what is he doing. He's drinking and he's like he's fine. He's just he doesn't. WanNa get phone right away. He doesn't need a phone. I didn't need a phone right away. I mean I could still check my emails on my laptop and you know that was kind of interesting to me. Is that if you don't have a phone? You're not human anymore or you're not alive you know which is a valid point if somebody's on suicide watch or something like where it's like. Oh my God but you know. Sometimes it's like you know anytime. I didn't have my phone for a couple of days. It was great but it would send people into an immediate like. Oh my God is fucking Dad I was. I was still in touch with people mike. Hey I'm on my email. I'm on social media you can. I can access that through a computer but it was nice not having to like just constant tax and bullshit and you know it's really great and I actually recommend people doing that like you know I would go to Hawaii a lot. I go to Hawaii all the time. I love it and my buddies always other phones and I would leave it back at the hotel and I'm like Juanita's not bring your phone out. Yeah and just skip a day unless you have something like really imperative. Obviously but if you can have that liberty of just just you know not have your phone for a minute and it's really great to be in the water be in the ocean. Just go about your day or just you know. Just take a break you know and get go outside and just not just liver die fucking phone. It's really weird for the younger people listening. And I'm sure you've heard this before. Forgive me but it is surreal to think of a world and I grew up in a world where there were no phones where you didn't have that and it is really bizarre. You do feel like oh I remember. I hate being that guy but it's just really honest. It is pretty surreal to see be giant leap that everything's taken with phones and social media and stuff like that but just your phone. It's crazy. I used to have that sort of older guy issue with convenience culture and I was like fuck posts mates fuck the starbucks app you can literally put your ordering and just walk in its pre made. You don't have to talk to anyone. Uber on these things. Just make it way too convenient so that you don't have to you know kids nowadays. Don't want their license because they're like. Oh my mom would drive me all uber and for me that was such a right of passage Shannon and then got post meets and I got star examples. Like this fucking amazing. Yeah I don't talk to a Barista too good for that. Give me my egg. Wait for Totta and my Arnold Palmer. Heavy T to good yeah. I gave my car up for years ago. I don't own a car. Okay I heard you say that. And here's my question because I have a buddy who did that right and he was like I got a Dui and so I no longer wanted to drink and drive so I stopped driving. Did you give it up because it was like it was getting in the way of your drinking? No I was I trade control at a young age which is so horrible and honestly anybody out there do not drink and drive. It really is the worst thing you can do. Even if you think you're fine it's just don't roll the dice on that and I never got a Dui but no for me it was just. I'm really environmental. And so I just. I wanted to just for the environment. I live in a neighborhood. Why can walk anywhere? I moved from New York where you walked everywhere right and So I just liked walking and I didn't like driving because driving in La was just so awful and it was such another stress additive. Where after I quit driving. I didn't realize how much more peace of mind I had and you know I don't you know I'll just take an uber or lift and you know it's it's a couple of bucks obviously but in the big picture of car payments and insurance and everything. It took it evens out and again. I'm lucky enough to live in a part of town and see in a city where I can do a lot of walking free exercise. No this is a you know. Yeah I'm not like Uber from my living room to my bathroom or anything where it's like the degree of lazy that'll be the next step is like just. Uber Uber People. I'm not getting getting off. This fucking codge. Just carry me on the toilet. Do you Do you you miss drinking. I mean I do and I don't. I've thought about it. I'm like I might have a drink but it's one of those things where you know. Once I always started I mean I could maybe have to call it but you know when I when I drank I liked to just sign up for the experience of like you know I'm GonNa get fucking drunk and I just don't really miss it because I did it. You know I did it. There's nothing I haven't done where you know I've been shrunk in every city. I'VE BEEN DRUNK IN EVERY SCENARIO PARTY IN VEGAS I party. You know. I've done all that stuff. So where John Boise? I have not when I was on tour in Boise. I wasn't drinking them. Trunking Tuscaloosa I've never been in Tuscaloosa Montgomery Alabama Mobile Alabama Better Radel by the way mobile city. Good alcohol. Yeah. It was great. Good drinking town solid. Yeah I've been drunk in so many towns it's been a blast but you know I don't know if I'll be back. Who knows but I? There's nothing there's no regrets. I'm not like Oh. I wish I'd gotten hammered in Florida. It's like done that I've ever got drunk in Sarasota but it's you know drinking. It's everyone's different at the end of the day. It's all infects people differently. Different liquors effect people differently. You know it's just it's good. It's always good to you now. Know why you're drinking. Yeah it's always good if you WANNA cut loose for Batra party. Yeah but if you're you know if you're in a really dark place that can not be a great thing I but I do. I so identify with you because when I would drink like people would say. Do you WANNA come over for drinks before dinner before the movie and I'd be like for what like I? I have no interest in a drink right. Like if we'RE GONNA do it. We're going to do it. Yeah and having one just seems having one seems worse than having none. Yeah I agree with that. I have a lot of friends said that. Were of that mindset of like. I know some glass of wine. I can't even. I mean maybe that'll be the next osmosis of evolution. Yeah the evolution of US. Use that word for no reason. My wife has half a Margarita and I hate it. I don't like when she drinks half a diet coke but she'll drink half a Margarita Blake but if you drink the rest it will double the effects shelby. Like I've never not finished to me either. Okay so last question before last question is can you? I'm I'm fascinated by people like sandler and whatnot. And what it takes to have the level of workload and and I guess for lack of a better word accomplishment that they have. Can you distill down like anything you witnessed working with him so intimately for so long where you're like all man like that's one of your like that's one of your superpowers Adam. I'm amazed by him at all times. That he though the amount that he juggles and that he's juggled in terms of being such a great family man and overseeing giant production company and everything on from TV shows and you know so many movies in developing so much stuff. I mean He. He's somehow is able to really passionately. Believe in everything too. When we going back to Bucky Larson we had a script. And I remember me and him did like ten rewrites on it and I'd Never Britain movies and and I'd never done anything like that and he's like no no no. Let's let's go back over. Let's go back go but he just was committed to just fine tuning and fine tuning it. You know whatever you think of the end result. We loved it. Yes and what does that look like so like you send him a pass and then he does his notes and we have passed. And then you know he's like okay. Do another pass and immune uncovered another pass and then then. I just sat at his house. And I'm like come over and we were just sit there and we would go over at scene by scene by scene by seeing and calm over and come over and come over it and then you know the thing with him to one thing I'd like to do is we. Would we would right up until the very last second? So when I would produce movies with him you know I would get the script for the day or the they're called sides. Which are the pages at your shooting that day in my trailer and go over them and I would punch those up and bad stuff and all this stuff and you know so it was just constantly? It would never ever stopped. There was never a point where it's like Okay it was from the very second and that you know that includes improvising. I'm throwing things out. And you know he he just a workhorse. He's anybody who thinks like. Oh you guys make it look so easy and fun much to be. Our people are always like oh you guys must be high and drunk the whole time and it's like now it's worked like we go to work and it's you're working the whole time are you. Do you ever have to distinguish a? Let's say you're writing something for Sandler or you're there on the Dan. You're writing all and Improv and whatnot. Do you ever have to like make that decision of like? Oh this is funny to me. But maybe this isn't atoms voice or or ever sweetly really. Yeah that's the thing that was a skill set that I learned and had quickly was being able to write four. Somebody's voice so when I would adamant had me write jokes for him for talk shows when he would do letterman when he do tonight show and stuff like that. I just learned what jokes weren't Adams. Voice what the tone was and what the perspective was. I remember when I was. I was one of the writers on bench. Warmers and I remember David Spade called me and he was like yeah. Just read the script. Scenarious he goes. I. I've never had somebody right in my voice like that like all. These jokes are my exact delivery and tone and everything and I was like yeah. I've watched you for years so I knew exactly what you can deliver on. What what you're cadence. And everything is and he was like Jesus Christ and then worked with David forever. But yeah I I'm writing a TV show now and I'm writing with the to lead for the two lead actors and I just know their voices. I don't know if I can talk about it but You know the people involved and it's the pilot presentation that I'm shooting out of pocket. That's fun out of pocket. Yeah I was tired of pitching and I was like you know what I'm GONNA pay out of pocket for a fifteen minute pilot presentation and I got a director. Amazing Line producer amazing director and To cast members with me. That are fucking awesome. And they're not under contract or anything they they're just doing it because it's you know they like it and they can trust me and Yeah so I'm just so excited to have that freedom liberty but yet to write for. Somebody's voice is so great it sits gifter. It's funny 'cause I was interviewing our boy. Rick glassman fell over and I said something to that effect of like the thing about doing because it grew up on sitcoms and the thing that I grew up or a the thing that was challenging for me when I walked into that steam. Osho within a half hour comedy should never hersal right..
