"Back, talking to Kevin McCullough, some of you know him as votes for damas. I too know him. As votes, but Kevin McCullough, let me ask you, you just mentioned that at least forget his name in the senator who looks like a turtle. What does that Schumer? McConnell, McConnell, the turtle man. I mean, I have to say, so he comes out and he chortles about how Tucker Carlson did this irresponsible thing by going against the official narrative. And then you have him and others, well, you have Schumer talking about that Murdoch should censor Tucker Carlson and it seems to me like the Murdoch brothers is an uday and kusa. I always forget their names. I think it's uday and kusa, the Murdoch sons, the sons of the tyrant. But it seems, did forbid Tucker Carlson from going further with this, which tells you really, really, really bad things about Fox News as it stands. There's been some changes at Fox and on the second night of coverage, Tucker did respond to Chuck Schumer, but he did not go any further with his reports. And I think you can read into that what you want to. I think that the interesting thing about this, if people are in question about the decline of what America freedoms look like, all you have to do is point to the Senate leader begging a Titan of private industry to take an action that in some way hides truth from the American people. Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell both need to understand that those hours of videotape don't belong to them. They don't belong to the senator to the house. Those hours of videotape of surveillance are surveillance of the people's house. It's our house.

New England, upstate New York, bracing for winter storm
"Parts of the northeast are being hit with a powerful winter storm. The national weather service says the storm could last into Wednesday for areas such as New England, upstate New York, northeastern Pennsylvania, and northern New Jersey, dumping heavy wet snow and unleashing strong winds, meteorologist Andrew Orson. Snowfall turtles that were going to see that with this particular storm will be among the highest that we've seen for this entire wear season. It has been below average for snowfall across the northeast this year. And so this no Easter will be very impactful because we haven't really seen a whole lot of snow. New York governor Kathy hochul already has warned that the storm could be deadly, and she's telling people in the affected areas to stay off the roads, the Albany area could get three feet of snow. The Antichrist Administration With Benny Johnson
"Benny shifting gears here a little bit. You've been on top of this story. I haven't touched it or covered it at all. Let me tell you my little campus stuff and you know this to great detail and you've had some wonderful takes on it. The Garland hearing. Benny, what happened in the Garland hearing? So the public beating has not gone out of style, Charlie. That used to be tar and feather. It used to be running out of town on the rails and the old colonial days. For some odd reason we got rid of the stocks in the middle of the city. But the public beating exists today, just exists in the form of the congressional hearing. And Republicans delivered bombshell after blow after pistol whipping to Merrick Garland and that 70 year old man deserved it. That little keebler elf had his feet held to the fire and not just the fires that cooked the cookies and shot of the tree that he lives in, making cookies. He got burned yesterday. And it was bad. I listen, there was not a single stone left unturned. Hunter Biden, Joe Biden. Attacking Catholics attacking Christians. I think that was probably one of the harshest lines of questioning by Josh hawley. And Ted Cruz went after Kavanaugh, the Supreme Court Justices being threatened, a man wandering through Brett Kavanaugh's neighborhood with full tactical gear on, ready to kill him, admittedly. And the Justice Department doing absolutely nothing. So if you're a meemaw and you have a 25% American flag and the capital police usher you into the U.S. capitol, you get put on the terrorist watch list and you spend the rest of your life in jail. But if you are a man kitted out in tactical gear with deadly weapons and you go up to kill a Supreme Court Justice that was appointed by president Trump, you get a ticket to the chocolate factory, okay? You get to go to go to the candy shop. Merritt Garland kitten club. And look, the more laws the less justice. So Garland is choosing what laws to enforce based on his own political revenge. Look, Merrick Garland is a craven old man who is bitter. He's bitter he never became a Supreme Court Justice. He's bitter that seat remained open. Remember, Barack Obama put Garland up for that seat and the turtle to his great credit, Mitch McConnell refused to put it up for vote. It was one of the great things that the parliamentarian of the Senate from Kentucky ever did and he does deserve credit for it, and we won that shock election in 16 and Gorsuch filled the seat that Garland wanted.

Flashback: Jon Stewart Embarrassed Stephen Colbert About the Lab Leak
"What do you mean, but do you mean perhaps there was a chance that this was created in a lab? There's an investigation. A chance. Oh my God, there's evidence I'd love to hear. Novel respiratory coronavirus overtaking Wuhan, China. What do we do? Oh, you know who we could ask the Wuhan novel respiratory coronavirus lab. The disease is the same name as the lab. That's just, that's just a little too weird. Don't you think? And then I have to scientists. They're like, how did this so wait a minute? You work at the Wuhan respiratory coronavirus lab. How did this happen? And they're like, mmm, a pangolin kissed the turtle. And you're like, no. If you look at the name. Look at me. Let me get your business card. Show me your business card. I work at the coronavirus lab in Wuhan. 'cause there's a coronavirus losing Wuhan. How did that happen? Maybe a bat flew into the cloaca of a turkey and then it sneezed into my chili and now we all have coronavirus. Like, okay, well, wait a second. What about this? Wait a second. All right, John. Oh my God. Oh my God. There's been an outbreak of chocolatey goodness near Hershey, Pennsylvania. What do you think happened? Like, oh, I don't know. Maybe steam shovel mated with a cocoa bean. Or it's the chocolate factory. Maybe that's it. That could be. That could be.

A 'Hell' of a Question
"Scott furrow asked us he was the wonderful moderator, Eric metaxas and myself. And he asked about heaven and hell and I said something that I think I don't know how everybody reacted. There were thousand people there and obviously I never know how everybody reacts but I don't even know if the majority were comfortable with what I said. I don't know. I'm not saying they weren't. I'm sure many people listening, I'm sure that when the left wing that picks up this statement, they will broadcast that and they don't argue they mock, which is their intellectual level. I said, I hope there is a hell. Now, I didn't say I hope there's any turtle hell. It's not my, I don't know how long God keeps. I don't know if there's even a time. There's no time outside of this life at any event, so I don't know what eternal means in that instance. The turtle throw, right about here in his car, right? I'm on the back of the show and what do you think they get? And they get what? What? No shot. What do you think? Now, it's a fun performance. When I first watched this movie, Chris, I thought, does this woman have problems? I mean, is this about a person with mental issues? Here's one of the digs I have at the movie. I think we have the B roll later on once the offer has been made and rocky is watching himself on TV. Do the press conference about being Italian stallion. From that moment in the film I'm not kidding guys, go home and watch it. Before the film, rocky is grungy, ugly, oily hair. She's got the ugly glasses on. As soon as he becomes the contender, he starts getting handsome, combs his hair, you never see her glasses again for the next 50 minutes, her glasses have disappeared, and she starts to look sexy. It's a little, it's a little bit artificial. It's a little on the nose, Chris. No, no, I don't think so. I don't think it's artificial. It is on the nose. It's on the nose. But no, I don't think it's artificial. I'll tell you why. This is a story, like I said, it's an underdog story, but it's a story of two underdogs, really, right? Eric Discusses Miraculous Stories From His Book 'Fish Out of Water'

All right, well, my book fish out of water, which is coming out in paperback. March 7th with the most happiest looking cover I've ever seen. It's really beautiful. It is nice. The first cover of the hard cover. It's a picture of my dad on the cover, which was taken by my mom when they were dating. In 1957, or might have been 58, they went to the Statue of Liberty and my mother took a picture of my father in front of the Statue of Liberty. It's so beautiful. It's the cover. But it's coming out in paperback. In any event, the book fish out of water takes me from my birth up until my 25th birthday when I had this dramatic miraculous experience of Jesus coming into my life unannounced. And on the last part of the book, I mentioned all the things the miracles that have happened to me since which I want to write about in the sequel, which I've begun to write about. And one of them involves a snapping turtle in Central Park. Yeah. And that is a story that may be and I'm not kidding, Alvin, you and I could do a miracle Monday where I tell some of these stories because it's a complicated story. I can't tell it now, but everything on the last pages of my book fish out of water. Every one of those teases. This happened and that happened, I will tell those stories at some point on the air here, but for sure in this next book, because they are amazing. I mean, when I say miracle, I don't use the word lightly. I don't mean like, well, it could have been a miracle. When you hear the story, either I'm lying or I'm hallucinating, or it's a miracle. This is not like something seems to have been miraculous. But the story that the snapping turtle and Central Park is so insane, it's one of the most insane things that I've ever experienced. Hawaii's Kilauea volcano erupts again, summit crater glows
"Hawaii's kilauea volcano is erupting again inside its summit crater. The U.S. geological survey reports that the big island of Hawaii's most active volcano kilauea is stirring again, less than one month after the crater and its larger neighbor mauna loa stopped releasing lava. Inside Hawaii volcanos national park, scientists detected a glow in webcam images at kilauea's summit and footage gathered overnight shows a steaming glowing lava Lake in the caldera. Kilauea last erupted for 16 months starting in September of 2021, and when mauna loa erupted for the first time in 38 years on November 27th, Hawaii had two volcanos erupting side by side. The mauna loa lava flow got within two miles of a major highway before both caldera's quieted down, a kilauea eruption in 2018 destroyed more than 700 residences, adding hundreds of acres of new land, but a racing protected tidal pools that were popular with visitors and sea turtles. Newt Gingrich Tears Into Republicans Over Speaker Vote
"Gingrich has some wisdom to share. That has made some headlines. Let's play cut 26, please. You know, Lincoln in his first inaugural warned that the problem of secession is once you establish that principle, then everybody can secede from everybody. These 5 people need to take a deep breath tonight and ask themselves, are they really want to send a signal that every 5 people in the conference can screw up everything for whatever reason? They were three of them one end and presented Kevin McCarthy with 30 some different demands. Most of them involving personal advancement and in a free society, you can not just as you can't give into terrorists and you can't give in to hostage takers. You can't allow them to take the conference hostage and win. You know, I don't think newt meant that literally because the left calls us literal terrorists and uses the national security apparatus to come after us. But let me continue to build out an argument that I floated the base has been looking for a pressure release valve ever since the midterms. We had our hopes up for Carrie Lake. We had our hopes up to win seats in the Senate. We had hopes up for Herschel Walker and for Blake masters. And so we had a very disappointing showing in the midterms. We had a disappointing showing in the Georgia runoff. And then how does Mitch McConnell the turtle thank us? How does D.C. act after a disappointing midterms? We tend to gloss over it like, okay, but you think, wow, they took these people off as they say, well, they were poor. They were poor and that's why they offered to turtle doves. Well, turtle doves were also offered by travelers because they couldn't carry bigger animals to be sacrificed. Mary and Joseph were traveling. So they fulfilled the law. And at the end of 40 days, after Mary's period of purification, the very last verse in Lou chapter two says the entire holy family packed up and went home to Nazareth. They left. And the wise men didn't show up for two years later.

"turtle" Discussed on UN News
"Do you think she'll give up? It depends on how desperate she is. I think she may give up now. She's going back towards the scene now. Primary threat no is. And that can be directly linked to climate change impacts, as well as hostel development, coastal armoring. So it is really a multi dimensional threat. I'm Connor Lennon and you're listening to the lid is on from the United Nations. This episode is the last now four part miniseries looking at the issues facing the marine environment surrounding the eastern Caribbean island nation of Barbados. And some of the projects that are trying to address the balance. In the last episode, we went into the water to see the successful efforts being made by an organization called corral, which, with support from the UN, is growing coral varieties in ocean nurseries and proving that, under the right conditions, it is possible to restore the reef. Another group receiving UN backing is the Barbados sea turtle project. A research and conservation organization which began in the 1980s at the university of the West Indies. It has been successful in restoring the turtle population on the island, despite a host of challenges. The group has received support from the small grants program of the global environmental facility which provides finance for several initiatives implemented by the UN development program. In the southwest of the island, there's a place called the boardwalk. This is an area full of restaurants and bars that come right up to the beach, a testament to the central importance of tourism to the barbadian economy. There I met Carlo Daniel, the project's field director who took me through the group's activities and explained why it's important to preserve sea turtles on Barbados. Sea turtles play a very well researched and recognized role in ecosystem maintenance and stabilization. Hartsville is in particular feed on sponge, which is in direct competition with coral for space on the reef, so they help to maintain our coral reefs. And any island which depends on white sandy beaches as well as natural wheat breaks that re create when we're affected by extreme weather events, knows the importance of the coral reef. So hawksbill turtles were quite close to extinction. So I think it was recognized globally around the late 1990s is also when the trade and torture shell, which is really hot. Spill shell was banned as well. So I think there was around that time a global recognition that we could not continue on the trajectory that we were following when it comes to hawksbills or we were going to lose the species. On the conservation side of things, we have a 24 hour hotline that we operate. This hot lane will operate 365 days a year. So even though the nesting season goes from the 1st of June to the 15th of November, every single day of the year we answer the hot lane, our sponsor hotline calls. Persons are able to call to report emergencies where adult turtles are hatchling turtles. Juveniles are in need of rescue. But they also call to report turtle sightings and to report tracks. And sometimes just to report things that they observe that they don't think is right. So they see certain types of activities on the beach, they may call to report those as well. In addition to the hot lane, we have patrol teams that man that hotline because we get a lot of calls. During the peak nesting season, we can get, I would say up to 15. Unique calls a night and there's still only 8 hours early in the night, so it can take quite a bit. So we have an amazing team of volunteers every year. And our team is really a really good composition because you have a nice mix of young people who are still in university. We have retirees who have a bit more time. And then we have persons who are working, but they've managed to find the time between their responsibilities and between their jobs to still come out and do what I believe they think is important work. So at Nate, we have three teams out. So in any 24 hour period from the 1st of June to the 15th of November, we have at least 8 persons working to answer hot lane calls. We standardize the patrol effort. So we have the same team of people on that beach for four months. Every single year, and they their objective is to walk the beach every hour from 7 30 p.m. to 4 a.m. in the morning. And to see and record every single turtle that comes up. So that at the end of the nesting season, we have, we know that we've seen hopefully like 95 to 99% of the turtle sat nested. Because our effort is consistent across years, then any fluctuation in the number of turtles that we're seeing is likely due to changes in the nesting population. Carlo Daniel field director of the Barbados sea turtle project. Sinéad Nichols is one of those volunteers Carla mentioned, and she spent many nights staying up patrolling the beaches and looking for turtles. Right now we are on the south coast border and as we're currently doing we are walking the beach to see if we see any turtle activity. You can see turtles along the south coast and the West Coast, but this is an area that one of the teachers that we patrol. So we will see any activity that we have. Interested in conservation and this is a way for me to be a part of it. I got interested in it through the university of the West Indies and then front time I started I enjoyed it so I think it's a passion that got me going. So you've saved lots of turtles. Yes. Even in a night I have released more than a thousand hashtags. Oh, well, in one night. Yes. Wow. One particular area of the beach, one time we got 800 hatchets. We had to try to get them to save air beach to release them. Barbados sea turtle project volunteer Shane Nichols. Carlo Daniel explained that whilst the project has had success in bringing up the turtle numbers, they're still at risk for a host of reasons. Primary threat, no. Is habitat loss. And that can be directly linked to climate change impacts. As well as coastal development, coastal armoring, and so on. So it is really a multi dimensional threat. The other issue that turtles face is temperature. Because sea turtles are well sea turtle hatchlings. The sex is determined by temperature. And that temperature is sex determination, skews toward females. As the temperature increases. So there are many beaches around the world and in Barbados as well. They've been feminized..

"Places like the world wildlife organization are working with fisheries to create new technology and other ways to fish without causing bycatch all of our choices and actions not only affect us. They affect others to. If we see a spider in the house we can catch it and let it outside instead of harming it. There's a belief called a himself that comes from ancient india. A him sir. Means not harming anyone or any living creature even the smallest insect that means making kind choices when you're dealing with others and also making kind choices for yourself and what is a kind choice. It's taking a moment to think before you do. This is where. Mindfulness can really help the more you practice pausing and focusing on your breathing and what's happening at the time you'll get better making that little space between thought and action and that little space. That pause can be the difference between making kind choice and making a choice that might hurt someone or hurt ourselves. This takes a lot of practice and it's something that we all practice even when we become grownups every time you stop to take deep breaths when you feel stressed or practice a different mindfulness activity. You're practicing how to make that space that pause and that will help you make good choices kind choices kind choices also means thinking how it will make others feel if i do this. How will it make them feel. How would i feel if it was me and we should also make kind choices for ourselves to even if it choice might make someone else very happy. If it's a choice that will hurt us or isn't good for us. Then we need to think about it for example if someone asks me if they can keep my very favorite toy i know that if i say yes they'll be super happy but i know i would be sad because it's my favorite so what would be the kind choice. Maybe instead of giving it to them. I could let them play with the toy for awhile instead. These kinds of situations can be very tough sometimes and what might work for. You might not work for me. And if you're ever not sure about what the kind choice would be talked to a grownup that you trust about it. Let's come back to the surface now. If you'd like put one hand on your belly and one hand over your heart breathe in and feel your belly rising like a wave and breathe out and feel your belly button. Come down breath. The female turtles will each lay about three clutches or groups of eggs and each clutch will have about one hundred eggs. Their eggs will incubate for about three months while we wait for these baby turtles to come out of their eggs. Let's do a new breathing exercise. We're going to do flour breathing. Sit up nice and tall. Lift your chin eliza and gently roll your shoulders back bring up one hand in front of you palm facing up as if someone is about to put something in your hand start to slowly breathe in and let your hand close like a flower so your fingertips touch and as you breathe out. Let your flower open. Good breathe in as your flower closes. Breathe doubt as your flower opens. Breathe in and let your flower close breath out and watch your flower petals open..

"Going to skip over. You did it to me to be. You know what that was that was spikes jen with your first trudge with his teenage mutant ninja turtles in their original form. Would you give this book to a first time Raider in like this is what you're gonna wear beak with to get into comic books. It's push ask only. Because i grew up with the animated series movies so reading this it was kinda shocked to me and i took from it what i wanted to take from it based on what had already known so if you were looking for something that could have like. One liners be interesting not have agree plot have really really the best villain and issue to one. I would probably have to say yes because if you read that whole for issue to you'd be doing yourself a justice at that point in time you're back to slacking lot. They baxter. Stockman gives Big generous thumbs up is not even a fly. You love 'em all right. Though baxter stockman still the fly on the wall sean. Would you recommend this to a first time. Coma greater is a go stab at the but world. That's tough one. Normally like familiarity with a franchise we talked about in the past tense to make things a little more accessible like someone who was reluctant to get into. Comex may be a little less reluctant if they already have some familiarity. If they'll agreeing superman they at least know about superman reading that man. They have some identity idea about batman because he's in the public consciousness cities. He's triggers so forms of media. But i think in this one that would potentially hamper your enjoyment of this book. If you've got a first time like here. I've got this book. Ninja turtles like. Oh hey i know that insurance rate they go into that expecting one thing in the thing that they get away from that in terms of just the type of story telling type of audience is catering to as well as the quality of the story that it is when it starts off versus where it ends. Yeah because of that because the writing and the art takes time to take some time to really develop into something that i think is would probably consumable for like a general very new comics audience. Like if i was trying to give someone a book and say here. This is a great example of comics. Could be or what you could expect from comics. I i don't think this is like the apex of that or this is a. This is a great pinnacle. A great first impression book. This is a book that i think is certain. Audience definitely can appreciate. But i don't think it's a new reader audience surrogate One thumbs up one thumbs-down michael brown. You didn't read the right books. But i'll ask you what. What would you give your books to a first time come reader. My books were like you wouldn't know the you wouldn't even need to know the lore of the turtles honestly and it would be fun. I went back through and look. There is no blood in none none whatsoever. It's just a very classical. Like interpretation of the turtles as far as i know and it was great. I liked it. I had fun with it is laughing at it. Which is why when you guys are talking about these. Like serious. Broody turtles on here..

John's favorite part of the book was josh. This was your pick. Did you have like a standout like a thing. That really grabs you about this book. Favorite section favorite villain favorite favorite erc I love the way that the art is just so greedy in visceral in the my favorite part about the book. Is there shitty art through. They make it work so well and like. That's what i strive to do with my shitty like. I tried to like paul. The bells and whistles to make it look as decent is often what i'm trying to display. The funny thing is is that you say that. And i look at their art. And i'm like. I would put it on my wall but he literally have a framed issue from you that i have on the wall in. That's so much submarine in eastman's defensing better. He has i mean he's he kept us. He kept a consistent style but even by the end of the book. Now i think he did. He understood what his style was and the things that he couldn't or shouldn't change because he had a visual identity there but towards the end there were some panels. I really liked that. They did towards the end mike. What was your favorite issue or section of our book. Do do a two-parter due to do the do your favorite one of yours. And the one. That sounds the coolest from what we've talked about the coolest part of the book that i read is at one point. There is what i can. Only assume is a knockoff of a hindu. God right but this hindu. God looks like either. Goro depending on your preference and The the turtles have to fight them. I always thought it'd be cool to see if turtles had to fight. Goro and this is close. As i'm ever going to get to it so i enjoyed that tidbit minutes. That's been a thought in your mind. The turtles fought goro. No like if the turtles had entered into the mortal combat competition then injustice there in his guests to close i think scorpion and rating. They can tension there they can. But casey jones wasn't my comic and he was pretty dumb. So the kids for sure. Casey jones is in it was he interacted with all the turtles are just wrath still not just. His family members his family members. What joneses yeah the other judges. What has casey jones and the jones's he's still works for like an asshole. No michael cancer in his cousins kind of addicting comes to like Rob the house it. Because they're like hooligans who stay in this alison adult to rob themselves. No okay no no no no. They're hooligans running africa after. I have to explain this better. They're hooligans who rob the turtle they rob. Casey jones in the turtles move into this house with april. And it's like the movie yeah. They didn't like his family didn't like that so his mother and he lived with mutant turtles. We didn't know just like that. He was in the house because they're using it as like a hangout. Spot right okay. So they're like no. We're going to try to intimidate him. They didn't know about the turtles. The turtles surprise the turtles bay. Yeah then they went off on their own little adventure looking for buried treasure that the dad is supposedly hidden next to a dog. Yeah so that's what my about spoiler alert. There was no money you jones. The jones is just as family. It was like like meet. How many this gives us a quick overview. What were your story. So one of them was casey jones. Jones is not much to do with the turtles. What was the other stories at the use of this. Four way at one of them felt like a generic batman who never said his name or anything he just showed up and he's like yeah mccaw. Believe me and they're like yeah. Okay you're caught ended. They go around trying to trying to foil. Like this like Like a stark industries kind of thing like selling illegal weapons to people. I don't know they've never even said the guy's name they just call them. Nobody most of it was him just being a detective going around the city looking for these guns and stuff like that and the turtles popped up once in a while the help and say like save disaster couple times but other than that. That's all we know. They were very one off things. Okay.

"Let's see the weapon. But i mean there's i don't know i just felt like there was a lot of points where i was slightly confused. The new would say something in. Okay i know who. I'm following at this point in time. But i mean i can definitely see both sides also might be just me trying to read into like the animated series that i watched growing up in the movies so like maybe it's just something new trying to pick out from the comic. So maybe that's something that worked for me. Let your mind. Just mentally mapping these turtles personalities absolutely Like i read something like that. You know this is who this is but god if it did not fucking bother me. That shit was just a red headband. The whole time. I hated that so much growing up ahead af set a four plus. She's of the ninja. Turtles headbands ahead. I must have the second generation. I didn't have those. They had different Letters on their built so you knew which turtle was which didn't really matter because they all look the dams on beyond the beside the letter but the cool. You just switch the alphabet. Thank you for making me. Pay all this money for the southbound. I appreciate them. Why i mean. If the story i read was around the same time. You really couldn't differentiate didn't develop the personality of the turtles at all. They all kind of had the general like vibe like they had the vibe of the turtles but there was no differentiation. And that did bug me. 'cause they're all red in the one ira to bug me among a lot. This is not really about the turtles characters themselves at all. But i appreciated back to eastman and laird strengths. Like 'cause you could tell that they weren't that great at drawing people in this book. Not at all they will like sitting definitely did their best to stay away from having to draw people in any time there was people there were either grow up..

"Where were they like. Do rag bandannas. Yeah okay so that's like issue like nine seven issue one. i dunno. it's like kind of like after issue. Seven was like a different arc so they started over again because they had the cerberus Crossover with the aardvark. If we're being honest the book i read there wasn't even that many like it wasn't even about the turtles. The turtles are just kind of like this is like being presented by the turtle that they're in the background but is more like it was more like a the villains low level villains and stuff like that like just like humanizing stories. I was like oh this is nice. Like this is sweet weird. I wonder why they would have picked a snitch. Turtles stores. It's not about the ninja turtles forever up that say okay at the same time there was. It felt like it was a ninja turtles but like it was campy. There's a lot of the nineties. One liners it felt like they weren't they do weren't taking themselves as seriously as it sounds like they were in your book. There should of joan and this book. Yeah there i feel. It does actually very little dna that they have in common with their final adoration. And this book. There's not like one of the big problems. I had with aside from like if there is visual cues like if you're looking at the weapons they were holding. Or if you're looking at donnie physically working on a piece of technology. There's not a lot in this book to distinguish one character from another. It's sort of like just four people like they're not written with a different voice in any way. Eventually they go along very distinct personalities. That's one of the things you like about them is how they have very distinct character types that play off each other and in this book there. Everybody in this book feels as though it's written probably the only person feels like it's not written in different voices like the crane but from that I think part of this..

"Is that really a. Is that a really a crossover story in the marvel. No it's not crossover story. They were just like making references. Just kind of like a joke. That there was a person who would have gotten superpowers. But didn't instead they went to these turtles like as a person performing selfless act then got exposed to chemicals in the way that would have given the powers that lupus mental look like daredevil when it was close to his is like daredevil but instead of breaking it bounced off hit. The turtles was definitely an onto daredevil. That's really cool. I really don't think about these things that i'm reading It's the pits. Tom brought it up. Oh i don't remember. It's hombre ended up. Maybe he said to me separately in text thing. And i was like please. If you're not gonna be there. Send me the blurb already. He never sent me the blurred. It's in one of the hold on me. See if i can find some one of the early page. I mean i. It's got to be in the earliest patients. And i know the listening to the kid that added drops the turtles if you if you go back to it and read it with that context yet you definitely see daredevils going on there. Oh my god. He's even red haired. God damnit. he's red-haired literally hits him in the eye. It just doesn't break good. How did i not fucking blind. Like they're devil. So how do you guys. How does this stack up to the turtles that you can survive assuming this is probably everyone else. Aside from josh's first exposure to this iteration of turtles how does it stack up to the the because obviously the media empire the characters may popular through the media. Empire that the ninja turtles are now is a from the turtles of this book. I'm actually kind of shocked i. I'm not sure how the turtles here became the turtles there imagine it had to have been at some point like like an evolution of necessity for them to not die out or for them to remain tain relevance Might have been for the best By how do you guys feel as far as comparing them something he preferred. You feel like it's close. You saw nuggets of what they would be calmer. It was totally different and united till the different. You didn't like it..

"They wanted it back in late august. On their way to francis northern border germany pushed through belgium. The small nation was quickly captured by august twentieth. It was in full occupation. All of a sudden the enemy had possession of territory right on the border and they showed no signs of stopping germany's forces were like a tidal wave of bullets and blood and it seemed very likely that france would indeed be invaded but again they tried to stop it. British soldiers came to help but the battle of months did not go as well as they had hoped for sending france and her allies into a quick retreat that was august twenty third. You have to stop and think about what it must have felt like. For the people of france and specifically those in the capital city of paris a foreign power had declared war on them and was now barreling toward them like a juggernaut in fact nothing had stopped germany at all and it would have been easy to feel hopeless in the face of that approaching danger in fact britain's foreign secretary at the time sir. Edward grey expressed that hopelessness out loud to a friend when he said the lamps are going out all over europe we shall not see them lit again in our lifetime. So that's where. The people of france were at politically and emotionally at the beginning of september of nineteen fourteen. Germany had broken through and despite their best efforts was quickly marching toward paris. So french forces were gathering along. The marne river northeast of paris to try and stop them. There was only one problem with the plan they were vastly outnumbered and while there were thousands of additional soldiers inside paris itself. The frontline was forty miles away and they had no way to get them there. If ever there was a time when the difference between the right choice and the wrong choice could be measured in lives. This was it. And that's when one of the generals had an idea. What if all the taxes in paris closed up for the day and instead agreed to drive the soldiers to battle. It would mean asking these drivers to put their lives in danger. It would mean asking them to give up the money. They might have earned that day but then again if germany broke through how many customers would have been left for them anyway so they all made the difficult decision. They were going to help on september seventh. A fleet of over six hundred taxis lined up in paris took on heavy loads of soldiers in gear and then set off for the marne when they arrived at night. The site of thousands of fresh troops sent a jolt of electricity through the french forces. Giving them a new drive to succeed and succeed they did. Oh and the taxis. Most of them headed home. The moment they dropped off their precious cargo. I can't blame them. Those cars were their livelihood and they probably wanted to get away from the battle as fast as they could many though stuck around and were used to transport wounded soldiers to safety because well it was the right thing to do. Tragedy usually takes things from us our possessions our homes and sometimes even the lives of the people in our community but if the story of a taxi drivers of paris has anything to teach us. It's just how powerful the illogical can be by putting their own lives at risk and jeopardizing their livelihood. They helped turn the tide in a war. that seemed all but lost. Their behaviors can either be charmingly strange or borderline appalling like those of soviet leader joseph stalin. He had a habit of judging people not by their clothing or upbringing. To get a good sense of a person's character he would sniff their excrements author. Charles dickens on the other hand insisted on always sleeping while facing north. He believed that it helped his creativity. Dickens even carried a compass with him to ensure that whenever he wrote he was doing so while pointing northward and waldo. Pierce was another eccentric. He was a painter born in maine in eighteen. Eighty four to a lumber baron father. His upbringing was nothing out of the ordinary. He grew up alongside. Two brothers and a sister attended harvard and even played on the university's football team after he graduated. Though the budding artists decided he wanted to see the world especially the areas where his field was experiencing an explosion of creativity with a focus on impressionism. Pierce left the. Us bound for england and paris along with his friend. John reid they had boarded a cattle ship called the ss bostonian which was set to reach liverpool in. Just ten days read made the trip pierce on. The other. Hand had second thoughts about his accommodations. Having come from wealth. He couldn't bear to be stuck on a ship. That reeked of cow manure and eat food. That was crawling with worms. He had just settled into his cabin when the notion struck him to get off the ship as quickly as possible as it was pulling out of boston harbor. He leapt from the deck into the water and swam back to shore. It was such a last minute decision that he left his wallet and watch behind his friend. John reid was questioned about his friend's disappearance. He handed over pierce's belongings which had been left right there on his bed. The captain however did it and by his story about pierce jumping ship read was taken into custody and thrown into the brig for his friends murder. Once the bostonian reached england read was actually led in chains by two british officers to the board of trade where he was to be tried for. Pierce's demise lucky for his buddy wasn't far behind. Pierce said bought himself a ticket on the luxury liner the mauritania which had gotten to liverpool a few days early. The captain accused him of breaking his contract by abandoning his post on the bostonian pierce ever. The practical joker had the perfect alibi. He told the court that he'd gotten seasick and fallen overboard. He had even tried to call for help. But the captain had been on the bridge and probably couldn't hear him much to pierce's surprise and luck. The captain really had been on the bridge so the matter was dropped. That wouldn't be the last time. The artist had fun at someone's expense. Though as pierces popularity grew in the art world. He started making some interesting new friends for example he traveled extensively throughout europe with ernest. Hemingway after world war one yellow married broadway actress ivy trautmann in one thousand nine hundred twenty after which the couple moved to paris. Were trautman befriended author james joyce and it was during this time when pierce carried out. Perhaps the most elaborate prank of his life as he got to know the concierge of his building he learned that the woman had a fondness for animals. So one day he gifted her with a turtle. Yeah a turtle. It wasn't the biggest turtles. Mind you but it became a real source of joy for her. She came to love the animal as anyone might love a dog or a cat and soon enough. The turtle begin to grow every few weeks. The turtle size would visibly increase. She even showed her neighbors proud of the incredible miracle of nature she had been gifted with except the turtle hadn't been growing at all. No pierce had been sneaking into her apartment and swapping out her beloved pet with turtles that were just a little bit larger than the last eventually he gave it arrest though leaving the concierge with a massive turtle and no explanation as to why it had grown to be so large until that is he started replacing it again with smaller and smaller ones and that my friends is more than a little curious. You can attach all five of those energy so if you have other support cards that can pull that energy into your hand. Then utilize that ability. It's phenomenal so there's going to be those cars that just do this really really well now adam. i know. Obviously this is mechanic. You've but what are the current decks right now or something that you use that uses and focuses on energie acceleration and competitively. How often do you see this competitively. Almost all the time really even something as simple as the eternity v. max steck eternity is v. has the power accelerator which does thirty for one. And then if you have a darkness energy in your hand you can attach twenty your bench pokemon. So that's going to allow you to have to energies on board when you normally would only be able to attach one per turn setting up to pokemon in case they knock out one In the blast in the vein of like the hydrogen ability Froth ability allows you to attach water energies from your hand to your bench water pokemon in any way you like her. Pull that in a pulled out on zoom call pulled the froth off guard. Yeah so it's like you can play down a bunch of water energies and that is good with blossoms fee max. Lapress phoenix has any water pokemon. Essentially so you can kind of build your own water deck. It's an adp arsia siaga Tag team Because it it's attack allows you to search your deck for three energies and attach them to one of your pok mon which is brutal yet. And then you have xishan v that you use. Intrepid soared to look at the top three cards. So you're drawing cards. Yes it ends your turn but you can also if those three are metal energies you can attach them to it at no cost other than ending your turn but like you could get it powered up on the first turn..

When i was a kid and you know i kind of miss it sometimes but like like i don't know it's all like music's always been like a huge a huge part of my life in a you know probably a more of an inspiration than you know other comics or whatever earnest's in i felt like like originally i felt like ahead to 'cause if genyk is gonna be like you know quote unquote Turtle like what's like what's her thing. You know like every turtle has a thing that they could be. I don't want to say reduce down to but they have this kind of like one thing they're known for it right right so i really thought a lot about that. End brown revel who did The what is ninja backups. Intimate universe like you know it's like this alternating thing only passed in her present at that time when she was still human and he had her in Like the punk scene rate is like oh yeah like that's gonna what if she's like the musical journal you know so. I like going to concerts like mashing and stuff. And that's that's cool. That's easy to lake branch off. From in so i dislike. You know. I really focused on that in neo. I changed from punk to metal. Sorry brom but because he can't hear the music in the comic like it could have been metal. It could have been a metal show. And that there's there's more crossover. I think than people realize. Those attitudes scenery like hardcore punk and metal core stuff awake. Yes so it just. It just seemed like the obvious route to take and you know as as much as people probably don't don't like to admit it you know there's there's always been music in turtles. "President biden spent billions in taxpayer money. Boosting unemployment benefits for people put out of work in the pandemic but experts. Now say that criminals and fraudsters are exploiting that relief for their own spoils government contractor who works with states to prevent fraud in unemployment claims estimates as much as four hundred billion of that code. Cash may have been stolen telling fox this we have continued to find that over thirty percent of new pandemic unemployment. Assistance claims are fraudulent experts. Also tell us. Criminals are dipping into that pot of money to the secret service more about this. A year ago telling congress they were tracking quote a vast international scheme to defraud. us state unemployment systems. Lexis-nexis risks solution. Ceo tells fox about seventy percent of that. Stolen cash has left the country taken by criminals aligned with our adversaries like russia and china. So this happened back. I started in under the trump administration. So it's not a biden thing. It's just a big government thing. It's just a giant if you have a giant bureaucracy pumping out trillions of dollars. Really fast. it's going to be very sloppy. The current number four hundred billion dollars. You know what you can do with four hundred billion dollars practically anything. I mean practically anything you can do with four hundred billion dollars that is so spectacularly galling. It's tough to even listen to that report. Yeah not only. Is that a mind boggling amount of money but imagine investing your own money. This is your own money but imagine investing your own money in something that was thirty percent fraud about a third of the time you just got ripped off and he just kept doing it. Well in california had the biggest fraud in its history. The biggest state had the biggest fraud in its history around the same sort of thing People getting unemployment money tons of prisoners from out of state for instance. It's just it's just bureaucracies are not good at this. Plus they don't care that much now the the government just doesn't care about your money the way you care about your money now because it's individual bureaucrats making these decisions and designing these systems and and it's not their money at all I'm flipping through my articles trying to find the the coverage of this. You know what. I don't recall hearing is whether anybody has any bowl belief that it's gotten any better that they've got better at detecting it and stopping it. That's why i said kept saying so far right. We we've yeah that's like going back to the first couple of rounds of trillion dollar plus stimulus money. Who knows how much has been stolen since then. They just put out some video of him presiding over some meeting in which a bunch of terrified boot-lickers tried to out applaud each other. It's so it's it's amusing in a way but but sickening and terrifying in a way to watch how desperate the all these leaders are. And they're all you know folks in their fifties and sixties just desperately trying not to be seen as under applauding for the great leader frantically applauding until he makes them stop and then they could barely stop themselves. Nobody has any idea why he's thinner. North korean news which covers north korea went so far as to super enlarge large images of his favourite watch on his wrist then and now uses one less hole or one more heavily. They get such a detailed picture. They could see was using it. Different whole on his watchband. Yeah he's got a little more strapped to spare. He had the wrist like a baby with the creases in it. And they say if you look at the side by side photos it does look like. He's lost significant weight. And there's real reason for concern. His father and grandfather both died of heart attacks. They say he's got pretty good. He's has access to good medical care. The best north korea has also china and russia since they're a satellites. He's a satellite. Stay very overweight smoker. Whose family has heart attacks. Yeah yeah oh. I think we got to them with a very high stress job right right as a guy in my fifties. I will tell you this. All those things you young folks listening you know whether you're twenty s or whatever all those things they tell you from you is your legs when you lift to keep eating like that you know. Dr probably finally got to listen. Oh great and wise leader. You will surely ascend to heaven and sit at the right hand of god when you go. But you're going to go pretty quick slimmed-down big old fat boy. And then he had. The doctor pushed out a window right. And then said i gotta loosen. He's right. you're right well in north korea.
