So speaking of associates, so obviously the breaking news this morning is that sources are saying four more Trump associates are in the criminal referral hot seat by the J 6 committee, Mark Meadows, John eastman, Jeffrey Clark, Rudy Giuliani. I can't remember Gwen if you were in the, you know, yes, it's good to make a criminal referral from the J 6 committee or it's not or it doesn't matter. What do you think? Well, first of all, it's a co equal branch of government that has done an exhaustive and pretty remarkable investigation on the Trump launched attack on our democracy. Interviewed more than a thousand witnesses collected up more than a million documents. And now they're putting a report together that's going to assimilate at all and show the American people not just the Department of Justice, the crimes that have been committed. You know, DoJ can't ignore it. They won't be bound by it. They will beat their chest and say we're proud of our independent prosecutorial discretion. Thank you very much Congress. But it's going to be important. And I believe it has to move the needle step because if we see all of the evidence of the crimes that have been committed, you know DoJ will see it and I think DoJ will have to act. Yeah, I agree. But a good idea is time has come last line of Henry's column is cotton's American workforce act is an idea that's time has come, let's hope other Republicans see the light and indeed it is compelling. Tell people what it is. Well, he is one of the reasons you may not have heard about it is that we introduced it last week. I think on Thursday to be exact and the news for majesty's death on Thursday. Ground down a little bit. What was happening in the United States? The bill is designed to provide similar kinds of public support for America's workers who are not going to go get a four year degree. Maybe not even get a two year degree. And they don't need one to lead successful prosperous lives. Contribute meaningfully in their local economy. So it would create a new program to give a kind of federal voucher up to $9000 for respect. These perspective workers who can go and get training on the job in the workforce for the skills and their local economy. So in south Arkansas, for instance, it might be in the oil fields or it might be in timber wheels in northeast Arkansas, it might be at one of our big steel males. And it's going to be important driven. So it's going to obviously going to be directly relevant and useful, and then it allowed also those employers to gain from public support for creating these programs and again would be the high paying jobs to have almost as much as meeting income in the region. And then if they hire them to send us to keep them on and hire them at the training cycle comes to conclusion and it shouldn't add anything to the deficits that we've been running one way that we would be funding it is about 1% tax on the fair market value of these huge endowments that colleges have been running up for decades. Billions and billions of dollars. And I think it's past time that we begin to support all the young men and women across America who aren't interested in college, they don't need the skills of college chiefs to succeed. But they do need help in the same way that we help kids go to college. We should help you get this kind of critical skills education for their local economy in the workforce. I hope that I hope that the 1% tax on endowment. And I think that's a fine idea. Excludes all institutions that have rejected federal money for decade after decade like grove city and of course hillsdale because the people who are part of the problem here are Harvard. And my Alma mater has got $40 billion of endowment. And a 1% a year ticket is a great idea, by the way. Let me go back and ask, I immediately thought of my son, James buddy, from high school, who got his high school diploma and promptly went off to the BMW training center and got notes where on the Canadian border. I mean, it was way up there. And you 6 flirting out a BMW at mechanic and the young man loved cars and he loved BMW. So he's still working away 15 years later, and he's making a good wage, but it costs money to go to the BMW academy. Would it cover something like that? Yeah, that's the kind of thing it's designed to cover you is workers who have maybe a specific job in mind, maybe in a specific employer in mind, helps to create a cost of that employer training those potential workers who don't have the skills necessary to engage in what is often high-tech highly skilled work, even if you don't need four years of general education at a four year college to get it. So I'm about to frame the cost on the front end and then also giving foreigners and symptoms to then hire those people into their full-time workforce in the back end. This is also a national security thing. I can hear captain Jerry Hendrick. The naval strategist and captain Mark van der roff, who is our friend who is running the constellation shipyard up in Green Bay, saying shipyard workers skilled electricians, people who can build boats and ships would actually help remedy a critical shortage in skills based defense suppliers. Yeah, it would you and again, it's also heavily localized too because it's tied to the local workforce. I mean, we do need many more employees and our ship building industry. Not going to be a big source of jobs in Arkansas, right? However, there's been some recent news coverage of the highland industrial park down to south Arkansas in Camden. We're so many of the missiles and rockets or their components that are being used by the army right now have been built. One challenge that they've had in Camden over years are getting those skilled workers. And again, this is kind of a program that would allow workers in south Arkansas to take this voucher and go to say Lockheed Martin or go to right beyond and learn those skills while the employers defraying the cost. And then they get hired full time where they have a job that might pay two or three times with the average income is in south Arkansas that is in high demand and is going to give them a great chance for success in life. My last question, I could bring up Arkansas state in Ohio State, but I'm a gentleman, so I won't. I want to know where the American workforce act idea came from because one of the problems in D.C. is a lesson idea has been on the shelf for 25 years. It doesn't move quickly. Who came up with this? Who did you talk about with it? What economists did you bring in? Where did the idea come from? Well, Hewitt's been something that's on my mind for a while. Four year degrees are good for a lot of young kids. You got one. I got one. A lot of our listeners did. But many kids probably more kids. It's not the right thing. And just I've seen how much federal spending is directed towards those institutions. Often without increasing job prospects and just contributing to more inflation in colleges and universities. And it's been a desire of mine to try to find a way to direct more of that money towards the kinds of job skills that are young Americans need. We worked with an organization called American compass. It's not, as you say, it's something that's been around for 25 or 75 years. It got a lot of good grade of scholars there and they helped us craft this bill in conjunction with some of my great staff and I like that I think it's going to be something that's if we implement it will contribute a lot to all the Americans who don't want to go to college or for whom college might not be the right students. This is an unqualified great idea. I congratulate you got co sponsors yet center to work on that to you. It may be a while to condition senators in most parties to think something beyond more money for four year colleges, which in the end probably is going to be more inflation. But this is the kind of Bill that I think would be broadly popular across the country once people realize what it can mean for them and for their future. "I have enough of that yesterday. Senator cotton, I want to compliment you on the American workforce act. I bet I'm going to come back to it. I also want to compliment you as being the first person on the show to say that the Ukrainian war will prove that infantry remains indispensable. Your thoughts on the Ukraine advance as well as please whether or not we ought to do what Nixon did in 73 with Israel send everything that can fly to the Ukrainians and resupply. Well, it's certainly been a lightning advance in northeast Ukraine over the last four or 5 days. I went back and read some news reporting and as late as Thursday night you most western news sources were still focused on the southern offensive around pierce on just north of Crimea, so the Ukrainian armed forces now standing job of achieving tactical surprise and through combined arms maneuver warfare infantry, armor, artillery, as well as effective use of some air strikes. They've been able to cease territory. I think now we're up to almost the size of Connecticut that they reclaimed of their own land in northeastern Ukraine and critically they've achieved they've seen some logistics hubs, places like idiom that were not just important in their own right, but for the supply lines they provided to Russian groups throughout eastern Ukraine. And I think it just goes to show that the policy of a country Ukraine to defend itself. And if I own the work has been succeeding, I wish the Biden administration had started it before this war began. It might have forestalled the war from happening in the first place or shorten it from the very beginning. But as you alluded to what Nixon did in 1973, we need to keep the supply lines flowing to Ukraine so they can continue to defend their own territory, which as we've seen, they're not only willing to do, but they are more than able to do. Senator cotton, I'm reminded, of course, of the Battle of the Bulge where Germans rallied to push the American troops back in December of 1944 around the Ardennes, are you worried that Ukraine will become overextended at this point and to be susceptible to the Russian counter attack of their counter attack? It's always possible and even when we're lauding the Ukrainians for the veins and that's four or 5 days we should remember four or 5 days and I'll make a war on their ends and close. But at this point it looks like the Ukrainian general staff down through privates on the front lines are working in a fairly methodical way to solidify those ground lines and make sure that they're not overextended in that fashion. And again, we're talking about significant areas amounts of terrain, something almost the size of Connecticut, but we're not talking about something the size of the western front and World War II. So I think that Ukrainians will before the winter freeze against the set in..

Blue bubble, Twitter was full of former assistant United States attorneys for two years somewhere. We had never heard of. Opining that this was unprecedented and unconstitutional. I can't recall for certain, but I think Lawrence tribe added is always predictable take that this was unconstitutional. Yesterday, the Justice Department said it would accept Trump's candidate for special master because it turns out that contra, all of the blue bubble Twitter legal experts, there are judges like Raymond Derry, who have the necessary clearances, Raymond dairy is a longtime district court judge who has been on the foreign intelligence surveillance court forever and has every clearance you could possibly want and could look at all these documents in a couple of days. What a surprise. The legal experts on Trump matters were wrong again. Byron York. Yeah, and what we're seeing is, first of all, the Raymond dairy was a Trump suggestion. And the Justice Department has indicated that they will accept Raymond dairy. So assuming that the judge accepts that I mentioned she will, then we'll be off to the races with a special master. Exactly what the legal experts told us. One was not necessary. And two wouldn't happen when Trump asked for it. And it's an entirely reasonable choice. And by the way, if you happen to have been on the foreign intelligence surveillance court, you are lied to by the justice. That's true. Good point. The point Byron to get a search warrant to wiretap warrant to wiretap Carter page. You know, back in the day, when you were in short pants and I was at the DoJ, I reviewed every Pfizer warrant that went to two attorneys generals for a year. And the stuff that they see is really quite remarkable, but they remember everything and they stay for a long time. So I'm very happy that I'm open to anything. 11,000 documents might be kept at DoJ 11,000 documents, might go back to Trump. There's a spectrum of results here. I'm going to wait for that. I want to close by asking about all these subpoenas Byron. I do not think it is appropriate to be serving subpoenas during the election, a cycle, 60 days in, because of the old rule 90 days in, we don't do anything. Now Comey violated that in 16 with Clinton and I'm aware of that, but what do you make of these? It's raining subpoenas on Trump people stuff. Yeah, well, the news, I mean, The New York Times reported other people have been talking about it. 40 subpoenas have gone out recently in the January 6th investigation mostly in what they call the fake electors scam. But I think what's interesting here is the Justice Department, the Biden Justice Department has a multi front investigation of Trump going on there as the January 6th investigation. There is the classified documents investigation we were just talking about. There is an investigation federal investigation of Trump's post presidential fundraising whether the fundraising appeals to stop the steal where you actually used for legitimate purposes. The Biden administration is investigating Trump on a number of fronts right now. Ten seconds, Barron, does Trump have a LegalEagle overseeing all of these things knowing that is there someone who's his lawyer lawyer? And her remarks were all about going to Washington to fight the Republican establishment and take on all the corrupt and the other, which I don't say to diminish the argument. It channels the feelings of a lot of Republicans, but it's one that we've heard a lot more over the past ten years. That Mars was spent some time with the next day, defended his conservative bona fides to be sure it didn't give any ground there, but he talked a lot more about the words he chose to talk about I guess. Based on the questions I asked him, were all about getting conservative things done passing legislation important to New Hampshire Republicans and New Hampshire voters writ large. And it was just a contrast in styles. Both of them worked for the Trump administration, both of them are even on that score. It's just a matter of tone and focus. And I saw the same thing here in covering mister Morris and mister baldick. One focusing on taking on any range of everybody in Washington is corrupt and they all have to be thrown out. I have to interrupt you and apologize for sneezing, but Dwayne refuses to get me a drop button, a cough button. So when I sneeze on the air, it comes out over there. I apologize for that. They believe that last week it narrowed the deficit to single digits. One source I had said early in the week last week at high single digits and other source toward the end of the week, only single digits, or so I asked mister bolbec. And so I didn't have to ask him during his last town hall playing with Coney in New Hampshire the other day, Saturday. He said, I'm up by 22 points. And after the town hall, I said. So without a hyperbole, you're encouraging the troops. No, I'm up by 22 points. Why don't you get up by 22 points and when I talk to governor sununu Saturday along the beach and do the Hampshire, he said, look, votes can move in New Hampshire where there's some absentee voting, but it's not to the degree as it is in other states, even though it's available. He said a New Hampshire votes can move in the final week by ims amounts. And so he believes that chuck Morris can win. I think a more can win, but it is going to be a very big come from behind victory if he does..

Department of Justice Issues New Batch of Subpoenas
"It is also becoming obvious that the so called January 6 probe at the Department of Justice because there is no official name and they won't comment on it so it's been called a January 6 probe. Has now nailed 30 to 40 of former president Trump's top officials in his political fundraising and former campaign operation. Dozens of people in the former president's orbit have received grand jury subpoenas in recent days. According to multiple sources familiar with the matter, say you see that the DoJ continues to leak. I don't know what they're up to. It's never pleasant to go before a grand jury. I've never had that joyful occasion. Everybody's legal bills go up, no one can afford to be without a lawyer. I am reminded of the erratic Peter Navarro's decision to try and represent himself and he's going to go to jail as a result of that wonderful call. Now he's got some better assault lawyer representing Peter Navarro now and back the matter is lawyering up is expensive. And you can't afford not the lawyer up if you are a subject of the grand jury. And so it's 60 days, so I was 59 days to an election. So it's an unusual exercise of the Department of Justice. But when you're desperate, when you're desperate, when you got nothing, you ain't got nothing to lose. "Justice Department yesterday surprised all the Twitter lawyers by saying it would accept one of Donald Trump's recommendation for the special masters in the Mar-a-Lago document case. And I'm reeling because I was told by all of the lefties in the blue bubble that this was outrageous and they could never do this, then it was unprecedented. Rate of a former president's home is unprecedented. It's not what we did with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, when she was running for president Donald Trump might be running for president. I think he's 75 or 76. Again, former United States attorney, it's just in the United States attorney. Also was a member of the foreign intelligence surveillance court. Remember how they said it was going to be tough to find someone with the credentials to oversee classified material that's all judge Gary did for a lot of years because the foreign intelligence surveillance court, that's the court with which I am familiar most back from my Justice Department days at the one the only one I need to do with. I wasn't appellate lawyer. I was just dealing with Pfizer Lawrence going over to the Pfizer court. And judge Derry course qualified to do it in whether or not he turns back all 11,000 documents that Trump or none of them. It will be good to have that review for the benefit of those of us who are open to any result, but are not in a hurry to accept this Department of Justice word for it.

"Had a chance to speak to the president since the since the raid? I have. And what is his mood? Is he fired up over this? Is he angry? All of the above. You know, I think he shares the same sentiment that America shares. Yes, it was his personal residence, and it's a personal violation to him, but it's a violation on our nation and everything that we stand for and why we have a Bill of rights. And why we have a right against unlawful search of the seizures and why there's certain requirements that the government needs to follow to make sure that we remain a free and safe society. And so in a sense, all of us have been violated in that regard and it's not just with president Trump. It's the theory of unlawful actions that the FBI and the Department of Justice have taken against any Trump supporters or Trump associates or staff members, but he has. And so if anything, I think he just wants to make sure the American people keep the country that we have. And so this isn't scaring anybody. This isn't causing anyone to cower and go, oh, okay, maybe this time we'll coward to the FBI because they've only done it a hundred times before. Now. Donald Trump, his organization's CFO, surrendered to authorities earlier today. We talked about this yesterday, the CFO of the Trump organization, um, turned himself in and Will probably be facing some charges in regards to tax shenanigans, avoiding taxes and things of that nature. This has been like a four year investigation into Donald Trump and his finances in his taxes. So I guess my question to you is Nige. If you're somebody that Hates Donald Trump. If you're orange man, bad Does this feel like vindication that another one of these ancillary players not named Trump is going to be going away? Yeah, I mean, they can't find anything on Trump. "Something in return gates privately. Asked the white house for blanket preemptive pardons for himself and unidentified congressional allies for any crimes they may have committed according to two people told of the discussions the times reports tonight that it's unclear whether congressman gates or the white house new at the time that he was under federal criminal investigation for child sex trafficking when he asked for this pardon but the times does note that if he was aware of that at the time he did not tell the white house about it when he made the pardon request now congressman gates. Didn't get any such pardon from president trump. At least one that we know of the times is reporting tonight at the white house. Thought that that kind of preemptive blanket pardon in the absence of any charges is something that might set a bad precedent. Not that that's the sort of thing they usually cared about.
