"Radio. The show Bill Reiter with you thrilled to be joined by my next guest. Three time. Superbowl champion pro bowler longtime former patriots wide receiver and now over at embassies. Sports Boston analysts there. Troy Brown here on the show. Troy thank you for for making time. Hey, thanks for having me on. Appreciate it. So just another just another year another Super Bowl parents or the majors at people in Boston. Just not tired. But is this just like, yeah. Cool. All good. Or is the are the fans as blood is there as much blood loss rather championship is there was twenty years ago. There's always a hunger here in Boston for championships. We've been blessed here in this part of the country man to seems like we always have at least one of the four major sports sports teams involved in some kind of championship during the revolution as well. Revolution the soccer team. I think they've been in a couple of championships over the past ten years. Well, so I mean, there's always, you know, just I anticipate season starts up. Somebody's gonna be playing for a championship around the Brown here on the show. Troy, you're the unique position not just a receiver obviously worked hand and foot with with Tom Brady. But Brady arrived New England at about the midpoint of your very long career. And so you were not a young guy when he arrived, and you are not about to leave. Is there a moment? Do you have a memory when you you personally realized maybe this young dude was going to be pretty good? Yeah. Basically in OTA's and training camps when you know, his his leadership skills won't display from the moment. He took his first reps in practice. Receive a best in British beef. Did anything wrong Tom bin jumping anything like that? So that was that wasn't it went down like the rookie. But you know, he just kind of walked towards him down the field and was just trying to figure out what are you thinking on that particular play? What did he see? So you can kind of see like this guy. And one of the first time the rookie quarterback asking those kind of questions over bitter and receive that particular time timely so that was on display from the get-go. And then just seeing him. Always he was always around always in the weight room trying to get stronger and faster, and it always always studying always watching always watching film. So I mean, you see that kind of commitment to the game from a young player regardless of quarter. Eyebrow here on the show here on the program. I love I love that story. And so now we fast forward. Troy all these years later when you assess Brady's legacy and legacy. That is all the a guy who's been in a Super Bowl almost almost every other year of his professional career. Where do we rank him? Where do you rank him on that all time list in the game of football at the quarterback position? Maybe even in American sports. I I I came up in a time of of Marino. You know, he was he was probably knows last five or six years in the league. When I came in got to see him play see him throw the ball arm. Not even really stepping into his throws going to pinpoint. Dr receivers got a chance to see Joe Montana play before he retired just some of the greats. I hate to go back and compare different different Aristide. Now, you know with just a different game play last so tremendously I mean, so. No guys are very talented at what they do. And what they did. And obviously one a lot of games Marino. Didn't win any championships. I wouldn't hold that against him as being one of the greatest, you know. When it does come down to number. She got looking at Tom Brady and the body of Berkeley put together. He's probably not his third generation of players that he's playing with you play with the guys back in my day. There was the guy who their basic life from two thousand eight to two thousand fourteen fifteen what other words, and then now this whole new characters that he's playing with now. So it's just a he's done with completely different teams over the nineteen years. He's been in the league. So you got to look at the body of work together. And the way he's able to gain not just from week to week, but basically from series a series in the middle of of a game. And just completely changed the style of play they need to Troy Brown. Got it. I got to give him the edge. I'm with you, man. Troy Brown here on the show. Troy asking this of of every person that I'm lucky enough to visit with on this show on the TV show who wants to blast coach Tony Dungy yesterday. I'm gonna ask everybody. I'm ask you and you on three Super Bowls. What is your when you look back for Troy? Brown. What is the best Choi Brown? Super Bowl moment memory. Oh, gosh moment. There's a lot of them. You know? I mean every every. Is like a thriller. So the next one I the last one, you know. Maybe that that I Super Bowl, you know, wanna just just an entire season. And the fact that nine eleven happened right at the beginning of the season after the first week of the Stephen, and then you know, and just having a season in the way. It did having had a military kick the game when you know. You know? I'm probably going to be one of my favorites. Just that entire drive people were thinking, we should have taken place over time. But we put together. I'm Ben driving this even at that particular point man and just. Govan down the feeling either position to give. Got another one of my teammates is still playing Terry. You know and give them a chance to maybe gangland field goal. And he did. I think what the person. Oh like that. So I mean. Yeah, that was pretty remarkable moment. Just to get your first Super Bowl. In troy. For Brady and Bill to continue to just, you know, put in in gold plating their reputations and their legacies and their resumes to get one more to get this one. What what are the keys for New England is they try to gain planning scheme and prepare for that Rams team. Well, I think first of all day they've got to do something with Aaron Donald in the middle of that that defense for the for the Rams. He's the one man wrecking crew up the rest of the Spencer. Well, he would definitely be there every single week and it can cause problems for them in their running game. I say. They love right now. This is what the one I can't even the patriots are. So we can cause trouble with that. He can pecan push the pocket in the middle, which I think everybody knows those are the places where you know, that that you give up the middle. You can you can plus the Tom Brady a little bit and get him off his game. You know, a lot of giants and both Super Bowls. They beat him in the middle. So you gotta take care of that part of the defense. I and. For the ram and then. Because the patriots. They just gotta they gotta pay the way they play the last few weeks last couple of weeks of the season and the playoffs and get up to a fast start. The defense is look look refresh as opposed to looking tired and a little bit older. They just look fresh right now. And as they continue to make adjustments. They've make in the middle of the game. Not get beat by the Rams Rams back which is places where the the patriots. They've had some trouble covering backs and government tight ends like a play in this game. But they've kind of figured out some different things in different combinations to put out in the field, and basically all they really done outside with their with their corners. And this guys is they just play tough man to man defense. Receivers rerouting them and making them work to get open to catch the ball. And when you do that you make the quarterback the ball, and you get a chance to get there with the Pacers pass records. Now, they use the format. Get to get to the quarterback. We didn't see that happening all year long. I mean that was a place where they struggled as being able to use those four guys that wanted to get pressured, and they seem to be doing a pretty good job of doing that now in the playoffs. So they can continue to do that in this game. Like, they have a good chance of winning. Former patriot Troy Brown here on the show three time Super Bowl champion, NBC sports. Boston analyst Troy when you you know, we've all talked and you've obviously seen in thought about that blown past interference call that could have helped the saints advanced. Do you have a problem with the Rams fall? But do you have a problem with the Rams being in the Super Bowl given that blown call? No. I mean, I don't I mean 'cause those kind of things happen. I mean, you can always not that blatant. But I think there's a lot of places within that game. Where things have an opportunity to weigh. You know, so I mean, obviously that was a horrible horrible horrible call. You know? He could could've call one of three different things. You know, we have a blow to the head, you know. But the only contact a difference with receiver, and he didn't call any of us. So. So that was really down part about it. But you know, you look at it, and they go you can go back through the entire game. You know, you can find situations where the the saints just didn't put them away. So I don't have a problem with them being in there. I just have a problem. Just the blown call those kinds of situations. I think there's a lot of discussion going on about what types of play our viewable and how much will slow down the game. So I think you know, you can take a look at that. Because at the end of the day that a lot of money a lot of money for these teams riding on this. You know, I mean, I know 'cause I mean, I go to our pro shop all the time, and it's always sold out because the team is one so much. So he's a lot of money on the line for a lot of them lobbies players. You haven't seen him stuff? Like that team makes a big difference in their pockets and the owners Caracas and how fans acting you football team. Brown on the show. Troy last question for you. It's the way too early but required Super Bowl prediction question. We could have out. But what how do you think this thing goes down? Well this. I think it's because the game will be seventeen years to the day on February third. The patriots last play the Rams and the Super Bowl Super Bowl thirty six. I can only. I can only get that the school would be the exact same as well. So I would say I would say twenty two seventeen patriots. I may later just because the scorns up, you know, all these years later in the teams out of the Rams slipped on a points back in those days too. But. Just do a little more research on how much the scores going up on average across the league. So I'm going with. Well, what the exact same score. But for right now, I'm done betting against Brady and the patriots. I've learned my lesson. I've learned my we all should be twenty years. Troy brown. Thank you, buddy. Really? Appreciate you making the time. Thanks for having Troy Brown longtime patriot receiver and quarterback at the end of the career three times. Three time Super Bowl champion. NBC sports. Boston analyst really good, dude. It just and look deserved has nothing to do with it sometimes. And I'm not taking shots. I I'm rooting for the Rams. I'm always ruining as the patriots. But it just feels like the Rams don't deserve to be there. And that combination with the patriots and everything Brady's about. It's it's hard to it's hard. Not to think it's going to be New England..

I guess the fans reacted your football team. Troy Brown on the show are Choi last question for you. It's the way too early but required Super Bowl prediction question week and a half out. But what's your what how do you think this thing goes down? Well, I just a at this because the game will be seventeen years to the day on February third the patriots last play the Rams and the Super Bowl Super Bowl thirty six. I can only I can only guess that the school would be the exact same as well. So I will say I would say twenty two seventeen patriots. I made things that later just because the scorns up, you know, all these years later in the teams out of the Rams tunnel points back in those days too. But. Got the just do a little more research on how much the scores going up on average across the league. So but I'm going with. Going with the exact same score. But for right now, I'm done betting against Brady and the patriots. I've learned my lesson. I've learned. We all should be took twenty years toy Brown. Thank you, buddy. Really? Appreciate you making the time. Thanks for having me. Troy Brown longtime patriot receiver and quarterback at the end of his career three times. Three time Super Bowl champion, NBC sports. Boston analyst really good, dude. I it just and look deserved has nothing to do with it. Sometimes. And I'm not taking shots. I'm rooting for the Rams. I'm always ruining as the patriots. But it just feels like the Rams don't deserve to be there. And it that combination with the patriots and everything Brady's about it. It's hard not to it's hard. Not to think it's going to be New England..

"And cheese, and we do so right now with the three times Super Bowl champion. Former New England patriot wide receiver also played some corner as well. Not doing a fantastic job from BBC sports, Boston. And that's Troy Brown -troit's that guilt. Thanks for the time. And how are you? I'm good, man. How about yourself? Doing great. And I actually thought about you quite a bit last week. We ended up to that chargers game. Because I remember. Match up where Troy Brown punched out a football after a Brady interception and keep the patriots season alive. Then memory serves me, right? There were some celebrate in that ladainian Tomlinson didn't like Shawn Merriman dance after the game so comfy last week. Yeah. That was fun, man. That stuff, you know. And I never really thought that play again until until basically last week so to see what exactly happened. So, but yeah. Yeah. Man, we did a little bit of dance and a little bit of celebrating that didn't go too. Well with the with the guys, but I think we wanna again, let's call it. How it is Danny Tomlinson was crying. I understand that he was frustrated, but there was no reason to be crying. They didn't want you guys to do the dance then he should have stopped. You guys. Today. There's something good again. That's not disrespectful, but that's doing somehow became my classmates. So, but it's all good. You know time goes on hoping some of those guys. So breaking news. Troy Brown is out of classless human being from all I'm told right? Yeah. That's what they say. Man. I don't know. Troy Brown here with matter. What they think just as long as you got those rings, happy pay. Joy Browne here with us on CBS sports radio patriots. They always looked at as the top dog. There was some people that were doubting him this year. Now, they're playing up this underdog card and the bet against us. What do you make about it? You gotta think this is. Hello there today. And I mean, sometimes we gotta find things that motivated. You know? And I think what's interesting is that the guy that's been around the longest and probably. The newly motivation anything, but it's Tom. Leading the pack in this whole thing. And. Is guys fired up. So people looking at Tom why we're doing well, we've got a real clear. Before. And and he just leaving the way to settle. Always. When get ready for big game. Like that talking. Troy Brown right now on CBS sports radio. Troy, I'm sure you've seen the comments by now from Robert Kraft an interview the other day, he said that he believes Tom Brady is the greatest football player of all time. Do you agree with that assessment from Robert Kraft? Yeah. Man. I do. I mean, I don't know what I need to do to become the greatest player of all time. But Tom has been he's been fantastic. You know what? Eighteen nineteen years. He's been around. Thank you, just look at the numbers. Look at the the wins the championships and everything else man is leadership leadership ability man has been unreal. I mean, probably like three hundred races the players now and he's still on top of his game. And everybody's respect him. And his team is always in the hunt for a championship. So I mean what else what else can you ask for how do you view this season because it was slow to start a little bit. Yeah. The tough loss towards the end of the year up against Miami. The patriots offense through times of the year. Didn't look as Chris how do you view the Pat so far this year? It's been a really up and down season form. And I think a lot of the criticism that came their way. I mean, maybe a lot of it was deserved. And people were just seeing such a. A different type of patriots team. They'd have to go through many so many struggles to get to where they are right now. So hey, right now, I mean, this this this time of year right now is we need to play your best football. And they are you know, and I just saw a team that during the season that that lost games in December back to back games in December hit that. You know, something you never see from patriots team, you know, and that somehow some way they figured out how to manage slow start inconsistency poor team on the road and find themselves right back in the AFC championship game again this year. So so yeah, I mean a lot of ups and downs for the team. But I just think right now, they're just they have a just as good as anybody else playing this weekend to be a champion. So I mean, you gotta give that coach I stay off Tom Brady and the rest of that team whole lot of credit for being able to hang in there through not. A patriot like type season. I you take a look at the pats offense. We know that they've been very patient with the wrong game all throughout the year. And you really starting to see the benefits of that Kansas City there were questions about their defense going into the postseason, but that team is different defensively. Home compared to on the road, this one at home, obviously on Sunday for Casey, what do you think? The pats. Offense was Kansas City. Defense comes down to. Yeah. I just think it comes down to being able to basically check those backs and tight ends rob gronkowski this year. You know, especially those backs, you know, I think that's the thing that kind of slows them down if you're able to take those bags for the New England Patriots picked him out of the football game and control, Jillian element. If you can then you got a pretty decent chance of winning that game. And obviously the patriots. Now are there a first run first they want to run the football? I against the you know, they that's what they do. They ran the football quite a bit this year. I think there was two teams more than they did. And that's how they get the passing game going on in the football as well. Actually, it's been great for him. So Kansas City ought to have a pretty good chance. They gotta do something with Iran, and then they have to basically just taking those banks and take those quick throws out of the game. How much do you think the patients with the wrong game? This year was ballot. Check in the Daniels looking around the rest of the league, and knowing that there's a lot of big time offenses and the best way to keep the big time. Offenses off the field is to establish that run game because Michelle early on in his career. I got a lot of criticism in Boston. But he's really had a nice year for them. Yeah. Yeah. You've got a great year. I mean, the kid miss like what four games, I think for me. And I mean, he put up with almost eight hundred yards rushing, you know, and and they and they gave him the rock and tried to pound it in there. You can win it wasn't. But he's easiest thing to do. They kept trying to pound the rock. So when they wanted to be a tough and physical football team in order for them to do that. They had found a way to run the football. That allows the offensive line the fire. Back in pass protection all the time. And then you gotta look at the way they were built. I mean the way they're built data. They didn't have the most skilled wide receivers, you know. And and that wasn't going to be the strength of that game. Having Tom Brady or not that wasn't going to be the football teams. Try to win the football with Sony Michelle and the rest of those back, and I think at this point. And it's paying off for him. And it's so big if they could do that on Sunday 'cause then you keep Mahomes on the sideline. Yeah. And then when we shift gears to that Casey offense and the match ups over the last few years that we see in. I know it's different quarterback this time around Kelsey. And we saw them the homes obviously earlier on the season. But they've been able to contain Kelsey Kareem hunt always been a problem for them. But they have to worry about him anymore because he's no longer on the team. But tyreek hill is really burned them with no hunting this game. How do you look at the patriots matchup between Kelsey and also tyreek hill? Well, obviously to two major problems that are given the patriots some issues over the years and req-. I mean, he he can change the game with just one place. So he can score from anywhere on the field. He's not only a threat in the passing game. He's a threat and the put in in the punt return game as well too. So you wanna you wanna get first downs to score points to keep that part of the game of tyreek kills game at bay as well. So, but I tell you what I think Williams waves have done a fantastic job filling in for Kareem hook. I mean, he earned himself a new contract. In the first four weeks that he was doing the job. I mean they were like six touchdowns. I mean pass even rushing so he was doing fantastic job. So that's still an issue for the patriots to deal with because he's more than capable of hurting them in the passing game ended run game. So they got they got the issues. There has a pick and choose guys on certain downs. How you wanna play them and did a pretty good job of playing Kansas City. The first time around, you know, having guys up top. But just they just outran those angles. And I ran the coverage and the goddess getting back deep, so it's just a it's a tough offense to cover and and and an entirely account for everybody. But I think one of the easiest ways to do. It is going to have to be just having to get pressure on my home and keeping them in the pocket. So I mean, he he's going to have a better chance of making some of those big plays. When you let him outside of the pocket and start that went around extend those plays in terms of defending tyreek hill. Do you think they go? Jesse Jackson has been a nice player for them as of late. Did they go Stefan Gilmore, they mix. It up a little bit. Well, I think if you're gonna go single coverage against them. I'd like you go with the player like Jesse Jackson, and maybe give him a little bit of help over the talk with somebody. But that's going to be times where you have to go one on one. I mean, that's that's why you pay Stefan Gilmore? All that money is the go one along with the guy with the probably minimal help minimal help time. So I mean, that's that's why he's making the big bucks. But I I like what I see out of the patriots secondary across the board. They can do a lot of different things that mix up the coverages, and you know, throw different bodies that different players from time to time if they have been the strength of that football team. Down the stretch. And and probably the most consistent part of their football team down the street. So I kind of liked the matchups out there a little bit. You know, just the the fact that they decided to play some type zone or something they cut Theresa. Tyreek hill loose in the secondary could cause some problems. So, but I I like what they did last week with a being physical part of it in German knows received on every single play. You know, I think a lot of that. We're probably having affect on how Kansas City is able to get their passing game going on the way out with Troy Brown who joins us right now. The free time Super Bowl champion NBC. Sports boston. The patriots row concern p people look at the the playoff numbers three and four in the Brady ballot. Check our I don't put too much stock in that. They don't play too many road games. But this year the patriots have been different on the road where your concerns with the patriots as they travel to Kansas City. Well, I just think that they they can't get intimidated by the crowd and Kansas City this week. You know, for whatever reason I've seen different enthusiasm out of this football team when they play at home as opposed to when they're playing on the road. So they didn't pay at home with much more passion than an incompetent..

I've actually interviewed you on my show, but we've never done a joint puck cost. If you owe Sam. I'm very excited about it but also extremely once. Say none of us by vulnerable right now because I'm about to share something with you the listener that I think you only you know, my dad knows and my son just told to that. So I'm going to share some some things about my story, but also the evolution of of Troy Brown if you will, in the last so of two to three years, and you know jasmine by my side the whole time. So she gets to see grow if you will. From a personal development standpoint of how much I've have grown as an individual but with, but we're going to do now is actually share the story how we both I met. So I'm going to introduce jasmine even though she's been on before she. I think it was episode common episodes. She was on a lot. This is kind of interesting different change in energy, and I think this is really great that you are taking your own platform. You giving yourself advice. You've been such a great advocate for everybody else's growth in their struggles that I don't think if you went through all that you've gone through and especially the soft growth in personal development that you've gone through, although last two and a half years that you've been, you would be in this position to share, you know the things that you've gone through in your life. I think people are actually going to be quite shocked, but I think you know there is definite strength in your vulnerability and I know to my core that what we're about to share with the community with people that someone out there is going to hear your story in is going to be so grateful that you decided to. Take that risk. And I think that's probably why I've been. This happened to me this incident which I'm going to share with you will happen to me for two years when I was basically between ages fourteen and sixteen, but this so much more. That's wanna talk about as well in this podcast, just because Philip assistance factor standpoint, I feel as my own story, hence the reason the show system factor is a real story of, you know, so many frigging bloody ups and downs, and. "That there's so I feel like if the second question was grow Elleman the, he might have even said, I have no thoughts and Troy Brown is right. It's a business to him. It's not just an average business. It's a business that he sees as his future. Yeah, we know sees this as his post football life. The whole. Imagine if LeBron James did this and taking it to high school kids in great athletes in other sports and other quarterbacks and all of that. And so he's protective of it. I can understand he's invested a lot of time. I'm sure a lot of money and developing this business now it's probably making pretty good money now to happen. All that invested in this. This is the future. Now you mentioned other quarterbacks in there. Does that include none other than Johnny Manziel. Johnny Manziel is going to be getting a start on Friday in the NFL for the Montreal Alouette s- he was just recently. Traded from Hamilton and they play Hamilton I dunno I. Dunno I don't know but apparently Rossi's. At the is. Going to be on the deuce yes ESPN two tomorrow night, seven thirty tomorrow night Arthur's Friday night sorry Friday scratch that yeah it's still Wednesday still Wednesday, I know it's been a, heck of a week here but Friday against the. Whoever it's going to be. Johnny Manziel for the Montreal Alouette. S- does this guy give are you interested at. All, or is he just you're done with them no. I'm interested. In very interested he clearly has a flair plays with a certain style hectic style I've always been critical on the field of the simple fact. That I thought a lot of. His time at a and m was running around. And throwing the ball up for grabs to Mike Evans and Mike Evans was the best player on the field. And Mike Evans came down. With it now we're. Great so I think there's an aspect. Of that to his game but the CF Fell we know Doug? Flutie, went up there it's a. League where different quarterbacks can go and succeed athletically and I was. Asked this last night on TV yeah I think he's gonna play in the NFL again I think he's going to go up there he's only twenty five plays there's not enough quarterbacks to go around. The NFL somebody will give them a chance now this. Time he's getting a chance from Mike. Sherman right obviously. So there's a tie in there too am and recruiter here, play recruited yeah Late for Mike Sherman was at NAS at high by, that? Time. That's another interesting side aspect I didn't even know he was in the. CFL Use the GM. And, and. Football coach at NAS at high he was building a youth sports complex, down there now he's in the CF l.. Very interesting career yeah yes going someone in the downward direction after peaking for awhile. And Green Bay but I think Johnny. Manziel has some pizzazz and there's so many of. These, leagues. Now XFL maybe he'll, be an XFL. Option maybe that's the next day he did the spring. League, was called the spring league spring yeah yeah now he's in. CFL maybe. Goes XFL. I just think the Mike Sherman career? By, the way sorry. You. Just got to be done a rabbit hole over here it's it's it's insane does. It listen to us at. High oh he's an awesome awesome regional high school I don't even? Think, they were good. When. He was there Team to? Seventeen he was there was there record when he, was there I don't know if they were even that good but. He also weird building. Like some youth sports complex down there he was an. Investor he went from being the offensive coordinator with the dolphins then he took a year. Off that he was, the head coach at NAS at high and then after that he's now the head coach. Of the Montreal Alouette and then. He traded for Johnny Menzel and so there's, gotta be attention they don't normally have CFL games on ESPN. So there's, still, a little, bit of a. Draw to him oh yeah he you know like he's right I think there because he was and obviously college, football is so, much? More popular in every area is everywhere but New England. Right but he was the, guy for a couple of, years, he, was, the, nice, man the Heisman as. A soft freshman sophomore sophomore sophomore right and. He has personality now it's also, interesting what is Johnny Manziel he cleaned. Himself. Up as I'm I'll take him at. His word there okay. Daddy's no longer going to get drunk he's no longer partying No, longer flying to Vegas. But what does he on the field now. Is.

"The all star team it's not a bad team all right who you taking it thirteen so at thirteen is i debated this one gone to a good argument over the phone is wanted lani walker miami wing and i wanted troy brown a wing from oregon so this is a tiny bit high for troy brown right a little bit hot have them in the like sixteen to eighteen ridge we ultimately went with four brown yeah explain it what's the conference it's my head if frau doesn't work out troy brown we have calms for him as chris middleton evan turner be andrew memory which isn't the most impressive group however chris benneton is i'd like to think about like the good qualities from some of those guys chris middleton evan turner troy brown is a versatile defensive player who can also handle the ball i'm so he's like turner in that sense where he can do different things for you but better shooter but better shooter i mean he shot only twenty nine percent from three last year but seventy four percent from the line he's in the process of making some tweaks his mechanics that senior it looks a little weird yeah it's not a great shot however he has everything else he has the playmaking is the vision he has the body to defend multiple sessions but he also has what i think is really important he's one of the highest character guys on the draft quote unquote hardest working guys on the draft and if i'm going to bet on somebody to reach their potential whatever it may be out bet on guy like short brown and for the clippers with that pick i think you're getting a guy who can plug into whatever type of system you're running moving forward yes versatility in then of his shot does start to click which i think it can cause he has solid touch then you had a really really really good player on your hands like middleton turner combo type which i think is pretty damn good yet we forget to mention harrow who i really like oh yeah mancha's herro yeah trust is good ultimate energy yeah really really get energy guy he's doesn't have the.

"The players and so i my reaction was just that like no way you can't compare the two you you were here that sounded like with initially said corrector i think that i misread i think you may have missed it because i read it i think he was saying there you go it felt like the same player not not you know who impacts the games more but just a guy who's been on the team for so long and it's so synonymous with the team you know it's like when they go to move on and there's probably a handful of guys he could have said kevin faulk because at the same thing with kevin fall gaza played their entire careers with the patriots and we're not brady were not gronk but we're still really good players for what they had to do i think he was just saying that what if he left that would have had the same kind of feeling and i still and you're probably right i probably misread that situation but when when it was said and it's still a couple of days later i guess i don't put matthew slater in the troy brown camp troy brown did so much for this patriot team that was not just the kick and punt return and i would argue that troy brown in one play the punt return against josh miller on the steelers made a bigger play the matthew slater has ever made that's on special teams were slater is a standout that's not counting troy brown the receiver troy brown the defensive back into the rams at this section of this one of these patriot hawk dvd's shows are troy brown specials where they're pointing to troy brown having to step in against the rams to play defensive back he had multiple picks the year these great corner picks in the play defense later is also played all three phases not to the same level made an impactful play it safety or ride receiver that you can think of and i should have chuck yeah the fifteen championship game that was incomplete the streak i'm not saying this mockingly but this is reality matthew slater goes out for a couple of years you didn't notice it then for a couple of.

"Their careers i'd rather brown so you might have a those which you're saying it would you take atamans career over brown's yeah if you blood thick though yeah the crazy of you i love this guy you know kind of is a crazy it might be a let me but not like oh my god i can't believe this but at but see what i'm doing and i'm not that we have computers right in front of us but i'm not looking at the numbers or anything i'm just going with his anecdotes right now we can get to the numbers eventually shore but just anecdotally by say who had a better who is a better receiver for the patriots i would say troy brown b twelve were element but maybe a lot are career afraid of the numbers don't backed that up the numbers backed that up to trim his own theme song lord dave as back pass this hayes c lacked enough john ended on diagne prop richard brown had one one hundred catch season in one thousand yards season in thirty one total touchdowns only one one thousand yards season viagra a one analysis his only pro bowl year at all men is never been a pro bowler but he has had two thousand yards seasons and it's the only one one hundred get she's very it's close but he hasn't played a really a fraction of the made such down says he had in his career 24 receiving touchdowns for idle men troy brown only had thirty one but again he played one hundred ninety two games at home and has played in one of three say almost half a games but.
