"Yeah yeah yeah and the closing is so he was an economy measure on the data dat forgive me okay so the state police American Eurocopter helicopter crash into Harvard university's boat house along memorial drive in Cambridge killing state troopers Paul Perry and James model Yano also killed were two passengers Arthur Howland Michael McCarthy both eighteen T. technicians Krikorian said public safety commissioner Kathleen o'toole decided to announce the new procedures an effort to avoid the information leaking out piecemeal and causing pain for the victims' families now the state police or public safety officials would comment unsubstantiated reports of sabotage or on at Middlesex district attorney Tom Riley's investigation the crash are the only technical step it was announced involving the dismantling I detected the he announced the that water had been discovered in the bottom of the tank shortly after the crash helicopter had taken on its last load of fuel to Norwood airport where the wing is based so last week the globe quoted an unnamed source was familiar with the investigation is saying one factor in the crash was that a wrong fuel filter on the tank in Framingham apparently allowed a contaminant to get in to the helicopter the NTSB has previously said it found a foreign substance in the fuel system I'm a fuel contamination normally would not have been catastrophic but in a necessarily but an unnecessary fuel additive apparently was introduced into the text possibly causing contamination passed to the engine so that was another aspect basically in this crash that it didn't have anything to do with retaliation however so their news leaks out that tool is going to somehow become the new state police colonel and that ends up getting torpedoed because she also has been tainted by this crash the ending the ending story is that of course Henderson is tossed he ends up leaving and then tool is looked out for replacing him and they won't replace some big I mean she doesn't replace some because of course she's tainted by this too this is a April of nineteen ninety six this is of course after Henderson decides to calling his chest I guess save your safety secretary Kathleen o'toole behind the scenes critic of management state police is not that behind the scenes I don't think is expected to be named its first woman superintendent by the way I love the story because it's one of those classic first of all it's it's incorrect this lead is to is you know actually wrong she was expected to be named its first woman superintendent when its embattled leader retires next week all that's wrong she ends up not being named its first woman superintendent at all but an administration official says she is definitely on the shortest of short lists I don't know who gave his Corp it's terrible and then the administration official who requested anonymity we love her tool forty two says she has not talked to the governor about taking the job but said weld teases her about her obvious enthusiasm for the position he knows where my heart is so tool said people know I'm a police officer not a politician I don't have any political aspirations well apart from the political aspirations to get the job but anyway whatever well decides tool says would be fine with her I don't know if that's true I'm going to do whatever the governor wants me to do tools said officially tools one of four finalists for the job being vacated by colonel Henderson others include captain read Hellman who actually ends up getting the job let's see who else I don't know bunch of other people weld said yesterday he expects to pick Henderson successor by next week the only possible hitch to tools appointment according to sources would be if she is perceived as having engineered Henderson's ouster to further her own career that's exactly what ends up happening of course over the past four months tool is brushed off remarks by Henderson loyalists that she had designs on his job she continually has spoken with enthusiasm about the talent and potential of the department her criticism of Henderson's management wasn't ill kept secret yeah I know bleep it wasn't L. kept secret she's pretty much quoted often about how she felt it was his fault that is crash happened in the first place o'toole who still holds the rank of lieutenant colonel in the state police denies that she was gunning for Henderson's Hobbs quote I have never stepped on anybody to get where I am today she said no no no Henderson forty nine is leaving following a string of controversies including a report by the Federal Aviation Administration on a fatal helicopter helicopter crash last year that was highly critical of the supervision of the state police is air wing two troopers and two eighteen T. we know this died on the FAA said a pilot training was a factor basically handers and of course injured two no confidence votes by the troopers union in the past three years the most recent voice vote taken at a meeting attended by two hundred and fifty members in January the sense that tool orchestrated Henderson's ouster was fueled by her commissioning of a management study that was widely expected to be critical of Henderson tools and yesterday the study's initial findings were given to her in March the same day that Henderson's retirement plans became made public I think that some proof right there all right thank you all for listening to animal house as always I always love talking about the.

Newcastle is another line of showers. In fact, if you're a new castle and looking west you'll probably see it if you're in Mustang looking east, you'll see it heading away from you, and that's going to continue Edmund looking east. I wanted to see the declaration of independence, and I wanted to see the constitution more. So I wanted to read the second amendment as it was written on the parchment. It was written. I got to do that today and just talking about it has become a tearing up not because I'm such a fan of the second amendment because I'm just a fan of the United States, and the genius that went into what these men did against an and how I would've reacted if I had been in their shoes, I would not have done. I can't get into it now because I I'm out of time. But I don't know that I would have been one of those in the room signing. I honestly don't I think I would have been one of the farmers back home. Well, whatever they want to do is fine with me. Just leave me alone. I think I would have been that way. And that's kind of tearing up. These men did what they did win. They did. "Thirty six year on the great w r k know we could go the mad maxine ruth if you want i mean i'm just saying we could go in front of baker's mansion swamp scott christian nielsen with the megaphones and the loudspeakers on his front lawn and say you're not going to sleep no justice no sleep no justice no sleep i'm here we could do that but that's not who we are okay my friends i'm urging all of you in the wake of the passing now of this grand bargain bill which is the grand screw you bill that's what this really is okay it's the grand screw you to every taxpayer in this state and every business owner in this state every worker in this state vote them out it doesn't matter if they're baker you know it's a republican or if it's the democrats who spearheaded this and rammed it through the state house and the state senate whoever they are i don't care democrats or republicans vote them out and whoever voted against it we support them period this should be our line in the sand now on top of all of this and this is to me i think where you're going to eventually get a major fiscal and political crisis in this state it is brewing it is inevitable nothing's going to happen today or tomorrow but it's on the horizon it's obvious is when you keep raising taxes eight hundred million dollars in higher payroll taxes because to pay for all this paid family leave and medical leave a higher minimum wages taxes are going up regulations are going up eventually something has to break is that so much money is being stolen embezzled from the taxpayer so much money is going into the pockets of hacks and what is most disturbing is we're no longer talking about dcf the probation department the welfare department illegal aliens all of these politicians who have voted themselves massive pay increases we're now going way beyond that now it is infected the state police itself and this may be a huge scandal the we may be just on the tip of the iceberg so listen now to this as you know troop e the infant troop e that unit which was responsible for doing traffic on the mass pike it was exposed that they were running essentially a corrupt outfit whereby they were deliberately embezzling they were stealing money from the taxpayer deliberately overcharging on overtime claiming that they were working overtime when they were never working overtime many of them in fact were at home relaxing what they just literally either made up tickets or it now turns out they changed tickets from when they gave out or issued them during their regular shift change the time to make it seem they had given them out during their overtime shift so they could rack up as many overtime hours as possible the the the amount of fraud and abuse and money that was stolen is we don't know it is at least in the hundreds of thousands however the us attorney's office and the federal are investigating they think the money could easily be in the millions and so three police officers in particular three massachusetts state troopers have now been arrested and charged with embezzlement with stealing government funds to of the troopers are retired one was recently suspended so according to the us attorney's office fifty seven year old former lieutenant david wilson of charleston fifty year old former trooper paul kazin of southwick those two are retired and fortyfiveyearold trooper gary herman of chester we're all charged they have been there were put in handcuffs the fbi is now demanding that they be sent to ten years in prison including a fine of two hundred and fifty thousand dollars according to the us attorney's office they believe that these were not just the three that were involved they believe many entropy were involved they are also looking at the supervisor of these three police officers how come he allowed all of this corruption to go on he never noticed anything he never did anything he never said anything and now according to the federal government to the feds they believe their words not mine that this is quote unquote systemic corruption that this goes much deeper they believe into the massachusetts state police that it's not just limited to troop e if this is more than troop we have a major major crisis and scandal on our hands now a couple of points and then i want to throw it open to you.

"Comments this is about gary wilson now retired massachusetts state police lieutenant to gary sherman allegedly concealed this kind of fraud by submitting to the by mistake on that this is about gary sherman not the lieutenant we'll get to gary sherman to gary sherman allegedly concealed this kind of fraud by submitting to the state police internal database traffic citations he had written for earlier shifts but with now altered date and time so he could reuse them for later shifts he also submitted traffic citations that were simply fabricated the never been issued to an actual motorists while he was working and then the us attorney spoke about let me see if i get i want to get this one right at least this is a comment about the lieutenant david wilson fiftyseven now retired lieutenant david wilson who was an officer in charge of overtime shifts at troops including signing off on overtime shifts worked also did not work some are all of his shifts for which he was nonetheless paid like the others wilson submitted a mix of altered and fake traffic citations sometimes called ghost tickets he earned about two engines thirty thousand dollars in two thousand sixteen which included about sixty eight thousand dollars overtime pay of that it appears that he defrauding the state police and taxpayers of about twelve thousand five hundred dollars in that year alone and the third trooper who is is retired is paul sesson he's from southwick trooper herman earned two hundred twenty seven thousand eight hundred and twenty six dollars in two thousand sixteen which included about sixty three thousand dollars if overtime of that it appears that he fraudulently obtained about twelve thousand five hundred dollars essentially embezzling tax payer funds through this scheme and again that was a single year like super herman it appears that trooper paul season altered citations to create the appearance that he had issued them during certain overtime shifts when in fact he had not done that he also submitted citations that were never actually issued to motorists trooper season earned about one hundred and sixty three thousand dollars in two thousand sixteen which included about fifty thousand dollars in overtime pay of that appears that in two thousand sixteen alone he defrauded the state police and taxpayers of about twenty nine thousand dollars now the numbers that he read to you are for one year so you need to keep that in context but here the question has to be asked how long has this fraud been going on and how deep does this fraud go within the state police organization i doubt that these will be the last troopers who are going to face criminal charges that's just a sense that i have and here's the thing that's interesting let let's just call those numbers for a second one more time okay herman make sure you get these redeems names right gary hermit so forty five year old guy so in two thousand sixteen he earns two hundred and twenty seven thousand dollars that's more money probably the governor earns more money than the mayor of boston earns and he collected twelve thousand dollars for hours that he didn't work now when you're in the tax bracket of two hundred twenty seven thousand dollars you probably paying at least thirty five percent maybe more of that twelve thousand dollars so he embezzled allegedly twelve thousand dollars but he's really probably only embezzling eight thousand dollars i'm not trying to minimize it i'm just saying how stupid you are if you're making two hundred twenty seven thousand dollars to put another way if you're making two hundred fifteen thousand dollars do you really need.
