"I still think there is some danger as we go into this week that a lot of people are going to rethink anything they may have in a regional smaller bank that's not subject to the same kind of scrutiny as the big guys. So any small business or medium sized business that's banking with one of these regionals may say, wait a second. I don't want to go through this headache. Let me just pull my money out and put it into chase or Bank of America or Wells Fargo or one of the big guys. And I'll be more secure. We've kind of had this two tiered banking system, if you think about it, right? In a way, with the big guys being subject to all these liquidity restrictions, et cetera, all these stress tests ever since 2008, and then the regulation changing for the little ones in hopes that they had a chance to one day become one of the big ones, and yet now I think a lot of that is going to get rethought. Because of what we just saw and what we're about to see. Anyway, it's all kind of frustrating because you look at it and you say, the reason the reason this bank was in some of the trouble it was in was because the tech sector went wild. And why did the tech sector go wild and then have that bust? Because the Federal Reserve printed too much money. Joe Biden and the Democrats gave out too much money. There has been so much money in the system so much inflation that it created an environment that was ripe for these kinds of crises. I said this all along and you know, sometimes you just don't even know you can't anticipate what it's going to be. We've been thinking maybe a systemic crisis of some sort. Maybe they were making bad loans. In this case, they weren't even making bad loans. They were just treasuries. I mean, they were bad loans in the sense that they were treasuries that were trading at a lower level because they were only paying about one and a half percent interest rate and now on a two year you can get nearly 5%. So that was too bad for them and they didn't properly allocate for the risk period that they were entering. Nor did they probably even understand the inflationary period that we were going into. They're not listening to this podcast. And they were drinking the Kool-Aid with Janet Yellen and Joe Biden and Jerome Powell trying to say, oh, it's all just transitory. Don't worry, don't worry. Well, they didn't worry, and then they got caught in this really bad situation.

Going back all the way 2008, we just experienced ladies and gentlemen. The second largest consumer bank failure in history, Silicon Valley bank, going under, the feds, having to come in on Sunday Night and say, you know what we're going to guarantee the deposits and not only that, we're going to make sure that we have a lone window open to any other bank that might be dealing with the same kind of issues and yet the president of the United States had the audacity to tweet out and I quote thanks to the American rescue plan, we've come a long way with a picture of him and Kamala Harris, his VP standing alongside him. I mean, talking about tone deaf, we are still on the verge of a major disaster. We nearly experienced a run on all of America's banks and the president is so clueless as to say hip hip hooray. Come on. All right, we're going to get into all of this. I want to talk with you today about why SVB failed why more could still run the risk of failure and why the feds had to jump in at the 11th hour on Sunday Night so that we could start today on hopefully a little bit of stable ground. We are so not out of the Woods yet. Hello, everyone. Welcome to the program. I am Trish free and portions of today's show are brought to you by legacy precious metals. Good time. Good time, shall we say to be looking at something like gold right now? Don't you think? I mean, given everything that's happening, I mean, I like gold in my own portfolio. I use it as kind of a hedge, and sometimes it goes up, sometimes it goes down, but I'm a big believer that long-term my gold is going up because long-term, we get some problems here. Major, major problems. And that's being reflected in terms of all this inflation that I don't think is going away. It's also being reflected in terms of this major debt load that we're struggling with. It's one of the reasons why I like golden. If you look at gold, especially on Friday as we were watching the total demise of SVB, you saw gold, of course, go up in value because it's that sort of safe haven that people like. "It's wonderful because it has all the things that a dog needs. It was created by natural pathic doctor Dennis black, and doctor black, he's the real dealings, a former army ranger. He was a helicopter pilot in Vietnam. He's kind of the whole package, and he's committed to health and dog's health. He's got a couple of dogs much bigger than fluffy, by the way. He's got big, big dogs. Fluffy's just a little one, but it doesn't matter. You just put a little bit of this on top of your dog's food. They can continue eating their food. And this is the thing that really helps bring their food alive because it's got the essential vitamins, the minerals, the antioxidants, the digestive enzymes. That they need. Don't forget, they need nutritional support and supplements as well. Just as much as we do, and I care about this little guy so much, I want him to do well. He had some allergies. Speaking of I was just talking about air purifiers. Those little guys get some allergies. They have been alleviated ever since I started using this nutritional supplement for him. And can you just sprinkle a little bit on top of your dog's food? And you're just wonderful things. I mean, I've seen certainly myself a difference in him, but other people have told me now my dog is finally eating. I couldn't get my dog to eat. Now everything tastes great. It's kind of like the hot sauce, the sugar on top that you put on his food, but most importantly, as doctor black will tell you, this is what really brings the food nutrients out, or at least ensures that you're getting the proper nutrients for your dog. That food that you would buy from the grocery store shelves or the big box store shelves. It's kind of what you would say is dead food, right? And this is the stuff that makes it alive because it has all the things that they need every day. So make sure that your dog is healthy that he or she is getting the proper nutrition, the proper vitamins you can do that by getting rough greens. And for listeners of this program, you can get a free JumpStart trial bag all you have to do is go to rough greens. Greens dot com rough greens dot com slash Trish TRI S 8. My name. Why Did Biden Sit on Classified Docs for 68 Days?
"Let's start with the premise that you can debate this all you want, but the president does have some cover in that he does have the ability to declassify certain classified documents so Donald Trump will hide behind that. I'm sorry, but Joe Biden didn't have that. He was vice president. By the way, before that, he was in the Senate. So what the heck was he doing making off with all these classified documents? And how many are there really? I mean, are we talking dozens? Well, it's already more than dozens. We're talking hundreds. Are we talking thousands? Do we know if Hunter Biden had access to these things? You need to remember this. This team is not truthful, with any of us. Consider what the conservative media went through when trying to report on the Hunter Biden laptop. And how multiple people were shut down all the more reason, by the way, a quick plug for Trish Intel dot com. Please go to Tricia Intel dot com. Subscribe to my newsletter, so I always have a way of communicating with you. It's really, really important because so many of us were completely shut down for even just talking about the issue. The Internet wouldn't allow it because he wouldn't allow it and they wanted so desperately for him to win, so the refused to tell the truth on that issue. And now we learn that it took them 68 days to come forward with this classified, document scandal. And I don't even know if we ever would have found out had it not been for somebody who kind of had an in for Joe Biden. I mean, let's be quite honest. Somebody does not want him to run.

"Fluffy loves it. I love it 'cause he does. And it's all good stuff. Back to the news of the day, however. I want to leave you with just a little bit of good. If you are a patriot like me, you want to make sure that the U.S. economy is continuing to thrive is continuing to be number one in the world. And one of my big concerns has been this idea that China is taking over. The expectation was that by 2035, they would be the world's largest economy we would seize to have that title and that has bothered me. I mean, as you can imagine, should bother you too, given that we live here in this country. So we want our country to succeed. Well, as a result of this COVID-19 ordeal and poor economic choices, I make this point because I've settled along in order for us to have the ability to fight this really is a nation that continue to believe this even though it's sort of over. But in order to find it, you have to have a strong economy and so this has been critical from the very beginning. They felt very differently, obviously, in China. And they continued to use COVID as a reason to lock down certain neighborhoods, certain areas. And so these random shutdowns have an enormously detrimental effect on the overall Chinese economy and frankly I would argue on their leaders standing. I would not be surprised to see more and more problems for him ahead, because I don't think she can really continue to command the will of the people. I mean, they've got their own ways of doing it and all that. Jazzy stuff, but still over time if you continue to suppress people like that. And in such totally random way with these nonstop lockdowns in this zero tolerance, that does become problematic and you're seeing that right now in the evidence of new economic numbers and now an expectation that they're not going to meet that 2035 idea of being the world's largest economy. So take heart in that, a little bit of heart in that. We are watching, as I said, for the Trump tax returns will be covering that tomorrow. "And we are losing sight of the qualities that make us who we are, as a country. So this is big picture stuff. Other big picture stuff that you should never lose sight of your own health. And by the way, while you're at it, as we go into this holiday season, your pets healthy. I love my dog. I am not afraid to admit I love my dog. And it's one of the reasons why I'm so happy about the new supplement that I found for fluffy. That's his name, and it's called rough greens. You've heard me talk about it before you've heard me talk about fluffy, you've heard me talk about rough greens. And how it's literally helping thousands of dogs not just my dog, but thousands of dogs to all feel better to live longer. And they love it. I mean, my dad's fluffy, he absolutely loves the stuff. It makes the food taste better somehow some way. Imagine that. Good stuff. Tasting good. I think dogs know a thing or two about what's actually good for them. Anyway, I want to make sure that you know about this because it was created by naturopathic doctor Dennis black. He's the one who created rough greens, also an airborne ranger, a green beret of Vietnam era helicopter pilot. Short of the whole package, it's an incredible background, really incredible guy. Who loves dogs. He loves dogs so much, just like I do, but he's got the background to actually create this stuff. And he's been so committed and focused on helping as many dogs as he possibly could and can, because he knows, as we all know that dogs need nutrition too. Dogs need those vitamins, those minerals, omega oils, digestive enzymes, probiotics, all those antioxidants, and so doctor black, and his dogs, they're offering a free jump start trial bag of this wonderful supplement rough greens, so that your dog can try it too. And I know your dog is going to love it because your dog's going to have energy. You're going to see all kinds of good things, including, for example, my dog had a lot of allergies. There Are Alternatives to Twitter
"So Twitter's back up and running, you can, I guess, feel free to say what you want now. And a lot of people I've seen a lot of friends who lost their accounts, they have been restored. That's all good, but will it matter? Again, there are other alternatives out there. I'm on true social as well, parlor, of course, has come about and had its own set of challenges. There's locals as well. I encourage you, by the way, you can follow me on locals at Trish Regan locals dot com, where they really are about promoting this freedom of speech within a decent way, right? I mean, we're not talking total craziness, but the ability at least to have an opinion. And in this environment, it's gotten hard. If I tell you to consecutive quarters of negative growth for our economy, means a recession, then somehow now I'm questioned by social media platforms for false information. I mean, hey, look, no recession is the same. But it used to be the definition of a recession. Now you can't say it anymore because Joe Biden doesn't want us to. I mean, that's scary stuff, folks, all right? And either side of the aisle. Remember that? Because it can just as easily be the Democrats that they're going after next. So even if Democrats are going after conservatives and all you can't say it's a recession that could so easily flip and that's the scary part about all of that. Isn't it? But lots of changes coming. I think January is going to prove to be a very interesting month. Don't you think? Don't you think I want to tell you about Kevin McCarthy? But before I do, did you see who's crawling around here? Right here on my lap. This is fluffy. If you haven't met fluffy, this is indeed him. He is the sweetest little thing and so important to me. I love this dog so much and it's the reason why I'm excited to tell you about a wonderful supplement that I found for him created by a former army veteran, an army veteran, a former army ranger named doctor Dennis black, and doctor black is naturopathic doctor, has created this supplement because he loves donks too and he's got a couple of them a little bit bigger than you fluffy, a little bit, but fluffy's just a little tiny Maltese. I encourage you if you're listening on Apple iTunes, go check out my YouTube channel or my rumble channel so you can see this guy in the flesh, but I love him. He goes a lot of places with me. And it's very important part of my life. And so I want to make sure that he is getting the proper nutrients. So this is why I have doctor Dennis black supplement for fluffy that I just add, I sprinkle onto his food every single day, because then I know he's getting the digestive enzymes. He's getting the minerals. He's getting the probiotics. All the things that he needs to have a long and healthy, happy life. Well, hopefully I will. A little bit responsible for some of that happiness, right, buddy. Anyway, I encourage you to check it out. Doctor Dennis black has a wonderful offer for free trial bag for Friends of mine, Friends of this show fans of this show. I'm going to include this link below in the show notes. But go to rough greens dot com today. Are you FF green's dot com today? Are you FF greens dot com today? Get your free trial back. It's really worth it. This is a wonderful supplement. Your dog will thank you. I promise. And your dog will love it. I mean, I'd be shocked. If it was any other way, because I know how much this guy I know how much he loves it, so I'm pretty sure your dog will as well. Anyway, back to what's happening there in Washington, D.C., as I keep him right here on my lap, I might as well, right? These little animals, they're pretty special. They're pretty special. Anyway, you've got chemical McCarthy planning some big changes. Now that he's going to be Speaker of the House. And it looks like Adam Schiff. And perhaps some of these others, like AOC, they're on the skids when it comes to the house Intel committee. As they should be, I mean, when you think about some of the things that have been done, who's the other one, the one that had the friendship with the lovely young woman. Fang fang, was it? From China, that's kind of something I wish I could forget. Anyway, we can't. I would argue rather compromise position there because she is alleged to have been a Chinese spy. Kind of strange to him to have him on the foreign affairs community here in the Intel committee. So I think that you're going to see a big revamp coming of some of these committees where there are sensitive positions and you have people that maybe don't like Israel or have had questionable relationships with people like fang thing. Are going to come into question and as they should. And that's going to result in some changes. Look, I think we need more responsibility in Washington. I really do. I think that people are shooting off their mouse in ways that are unbecoming, frankly, to themselves, and to the nation. And we've got to remember, in fact, who our allies are, one of which, of course, major ally, being Israel. So there's an important some important things that are going to be happening. And I'd say, in that sense, very good things that are going to be happening. But they're not going to go down without a fight. So gear up, be ready. In the meantime, let's all look forward to some Thanksgiving Thanksgiving which, by the way, we're going to talk about this tomorrow. Is suddenly super, super pricey. Have you seen the price said the turkey dinner this year? We'll talk about it. Great to have you here. Make sure you go to Trish Intel dot com. "That's an interesting question. You know, I'm going to go back to that housing for just a minute too. We have to we have to look at it in the big picture and realize that this big corporate move into residential housing happened because of 2008. We had so many homes foreclosed that were sitting on banks books, which banks aren't allowed to have that real estate sitting there. That they create created the policy to give money to these corporations who could take the properties away. We created a monster, as often happens with governmental programs. It turns into this being that's big and hard to get rid of and doesn't perform the way it was meant to perform. How do we protect the middle class? We have to get less government involvement. We have to let America be America. Are we perfect? No. I wouldn't be anywhere else though. Having I have the option, I could move. I wouldn't go anywhere else. So the answer to it is to vote in a way that is meaningful. You don't follow party lines. I don't care who your party is. Research the individual and make sure they stand for what you stand for. This is how we make change. Is it fast? No. Is it hard? Yes. But if we all do it, we share that load and share loads are much easier to manage than going it alone. Yeah. Yeah, no, it's very, very, very well said. And I think in our hearts at our core, we're all American and is divided as this country has gotten, I think we all put ourselves our country first, our families first, and these are these are values that are just intrinsic to so many of us as individuals, too, as individuals. So I think your advice in terms of holding our lawmakers accountable on either side is very smart. And lawmakers and the rest of the team, including the fed because we've got to make sure that we have a future for ourselves and our children and I believe we will because over time the American people remember, we always get it right. We really, really do. So on that note, I first of all, apologize to all of the questions we have so many thank you so much to everybody for tuning in. I promise you, we will do this again. Charles and I have already talked about it. So I'm going to be back here with you in the meantime, you can maybe submit some of these questions over at Trish Intel dot com and we will make sure that Charles gets them as well. So you're welcome to do that and hopefully we get some more answers to you. You can also call Charles team and they can help you answer some of these if you've got some questions about investing or retirement and they can probably help you through a lot of that. We love having you here. I hope that you take care of yourselves and you take care of your investing and your families and your future. Thank you for listening to this show. I'm there always for Cuban who was wondering, yes, fluffy will be back on the show tomorrow. And thank you again all great to have you here. Are you FF greens dot com so go and check it out. I think you're going to like it. Or gal. This guy certainly does. Anyway, lots going on right now. And I think this is sort of a wake up call if you would for all of us in that what's happening there in the UK could vary very well happen here in a different way. Granted, you know, our leaders get a little bit more runway than Liz trusts did 44 days. It really is a record. But it shows you how people are not willing to tolerate economic insecurity. One of the things that they look to their government for left or right or in the middle anywhere in between every citizen looks to their government for some stability, both in terms of safety, right? That's why this defund the police has been such a disaster, I think, for Democrats. And in terms of economic security, which is why in this trust's case, she was a conservative, but it hit her hard and over here right now, like it or not, Joe Biden is dealing with the reality of a challenging economy. And Tapping the SPR or strategic petroleum reserve, that's not going to do it. It's not going to bring down oil. Having programs to give out more money is certainly not going to actually bring down inflation. It has the actual opposite effect, and so there's not a whole lot of runway for him, shall we say, as we head into these November elections for Democrats to really campaign on anything that's good. We're exciting that's happening. People have very little tolerance for this because it really is the economy stupid, right? "All right, turning to Elon because he's quite a character. I love him. I think the guy is brilliant. I would be nervous as a Twitter shareholder right now. I think the deal eventually gets done. I'm not so sure it's going to go at 54 20, though. I've said before, you know, it kind of has to because he signed all these agreements, waving his right to due diligence and historically, deals. They always happen. And the only one I can think of is Tiffany, where they were able to negotiate a little bit of a discount after having signed all the paperwork, but in this particular situation, you have a, you have an entrepreneur gifted entrepreneur that is now saying, wait a second. This is not what I signed up for. Now, I've in the past said, you know, I don't know how much of a leg he really has to stand on only because it's like, you know, if you go and buy a house, see your neighbor's house, and it looks fantastic and you say, I don't need to look at the guts of the house. I don't need to go inside. I don't need to see the basement, and then it turns out, oh, basement's all flooded. Well, if you don't actually agree to have any kind of inspection, if you say I'm just buying it, cash deal, sign on scene, then how much recourse do you really have? Well, that's the question here in this particular case. Typically the courts would be like, yeah, you know, good luck. This is what you signed up for, but in Elon's case, he's really making a lot of noise. His concern is that there are more than 5% bots on Twitter. I think they're probably are. I know the company tries to cut down on those bonds, but I have a feeling that Elon might be onto something that there are a lot of fake accounts. And so his point is, look, I had to go off of your SEC filings. If you lied in the SEC filings and I really shouldn't have to be on the hook for

Very good piece in the Financial Times this week where they were talking about how Finland has been dealing with the threat of Russia now for years. And it's pretty remarkable what they have been doing and what they continue to do. Let me quote from the story. If the worst fears of Europe are realized and the conflict in Ukraine spreads across the continent to other neighbors of Russia, then Finland will be ready. The article goes on to explain how it's got supplies. In fact, it's got 6 months of all major fuels and grains sitting in strategic stockpiles, good move. Good move, Finland. Pharmaceutical companies. They're obliged to have three to ten months worth of all imported drugs on hand. They're ready to use. It's got its civilian defenses, apparently all buildings above a certain size in Finland actually have to have their own bomb shelters, amazing, right? And it says the rest of the population could use underground car parks, ice rinks, swimming pools, which are all ready to be converted if need be. Think about that. Finland's really proactive on this front, apparently it has fighters, almost a third of the adult population is in the reserves. Imagine if a third of our population was in the reserves, meaning Finland can draw on one of its biggest military relatives, relative to its size, I should say in Europe. Again, according to the article, they do quote Finland's EU minister who says, well, we have prepared our society and have been training for this situation ever since the Second World War good for them.

"Turning back to demands like California and Alaska. So this is gaining some momentum there. In Russia, first of all, you've got Dmitri Medvedev Medvedev forgive me saying that we might have to put the U.S. in its place a very cryptic cryptic thing to say, well, simultaneously, you've got state news commentators. They're in Russia saying that they need reparations because of all these sanctions. These sanctions that the U.S. is putting on the country of Russia because of the devastation and destruction it's committed in Ukraine. By the way, I love sanctions. I'm a big believer in sanctions the best way, however, for all those sanctions to work is for everybody to be on board. So we need everybody joining us. We need to be holding hands as a world united against this evil monster that's killing so many people. So really important, we all be on the same page, which is why it's critical that China come to the table and work with us here. They have got a huge opportunity in front of them. Let's hope they take this anyway back to this idea that they would take California or Alaska. That's the commentator saying, we want reparations, you know, because this is going to be economic hardship for us, so you should suffer. We need California and Alaska talking about territorial expansion, right? They're saying we're not going to contain this just to Europe. I'm laughing. It's actually not funny, although I will say that all of you have been pointing out, well, hey, they can take California. We'll give it to them.

"We're in, let's talk about the 100,000 troops on the Ukraine Russian border. Yes, Vladimir Putin has a 100,000 troops there. Amazing how that happens, right? I don't recall this being such an issue during the Trump presidency, but suddenly now, the Democrats are back in power. The guy whose vice president to the guy who allowed the annexing of Crimea don't forget back in 2014, that was under president Obama's leadership, so if I'm bought and I'm like, well, hey, you know, maybe I take a stab at this again and see what happens with this guy. Joe Biden, who barely seems like he's awake. Look stays. One of the problems here and I'm going to get to this a little bit more in just a bit is that you've got blink in Secretary of State blinken who doesn't have a whole lot of going on upstairs. And others within this administration, that don't get that Vladimir Putin doesn't care about being one in their club, right? They think, wow, if you're going to be an actor on the world stage, if you're going to be part of this great society, if you're going to be part of one of the liberal economies in the world, then you kind of need to act by a certain code. Boom doesn't care about the code. You just get one bit. You know, that was actually something that Donald Trump kind of understood. Innately, he got that that Putin was just playing by a different set of rules. And we, as a nation, needed to adapt to that game of chess in some ways, right? Rather than sitting there and never never land thinking that everybody wants to win a Nobel Prize. Well, maybe some leaders don't actually care about that. Maybe they're just going to do what is in their interest, which in this case, lateral Putin sees as having more control over Ukraine. He doesn't want NATO right there. You know, at his back door on his frontier, it would be like us, you know, having to deal with China. Right there on the Canadian border, we wouldn't like that, right? You understand that so you have to think about it at least from that perspective

Dr. Anthony Fauci's Giant Golden Parachute
"All right, I want to turn to another big story right now that we've been following on Trish Intel dot com, my website, and that is doctor Anthony Fauci's giant golden parachute. I mean, it's like the biggest ever. The largest golden parachute, the largest retirement in U.S. federal government history. In fact, Anthony Fauci is going to get more than $350,000. For his annual retirement, think about that. I mean, the guy never needs to work. He's had 55 years of service as a federal employee. He could retire today. Maybe he said, maybe that's the answer. Maybe we should say, hey, go take your $350,000 pension and go have a good day. Because you're kind of messing everything up. Constantly. I mean, one day it's this one day it's that one day it's this one day it's that and he's created tremendous confusion for which he really should be held responsible, but it's not just that what bugs me more than anything is the lying, the lying about what we did in terms of funding the Wuhan institute of virology in China. There are records of the U.S. taxpayer dollars about 600,000 of them and I don't care if it's just ten cents. I know some people are 600,000. No big deal. Well, you know what? It is a big deal, because it means that we played a role in the funding of this risky research, not only did we play a role, we tried to then say, oh, we didn't. And that's not we, that's Anthony Fauci, doctor Anthony Fauci, trying to cover up effectively. The role that the U.S. taxpayer had in funding the virology institute in Wuhan, that's not okay. It's not acceptable. But you know what? He's going to be sitting pretty, really, really pretty because he has, as I said, nearly $400,000 in his pension. You know, so he can retire and do nothing. 340,000 to 350,000 each year in federal retirement payments. That's according to Forbes dot com, which crunched some of these numbers. I mean,

I'd love to have you because there's a few more things I'd like to say. I'm gonna tell you a fair amount here, but it's gonna go even further. Shall we say on that platform? Because you actually have some freedom of speech. I want to get to Joe Manchin and the reality that we're just not going to get Bill back better through that is an important story as well that's continuing to circulate in terms of the Democrats being rather delusional thinking that maybe somehow some way he will come through at the end of the day. I do not believe that's the case, but first, let's go back to Anthony Fauci and his power grab here. It's a story that we reported on Trish Intel dot com, my own website. If you haven't been there, make sure you go every day. Watch the stories that we're looking at their attrition Intel dot com. Because you've got basically Anthony Fauci, really, again, doing what I would call a kind of overreach if you would. An overreach because somehow he thinks it is perfectly perfectly sane to effectively require if you want to go from one state to another, require that you show proof of vaccination. He said, this is something that we should be looking at because it might on the margin make a difference, people that aren't vaccinated right now. They'll get vaccinated because they want to travel. This is all about you see big government trying to make this decision for you. Forget the fact that Americans should have some say in all of this themselves. According to CDC data, I want to point out 72% of Americans are fully vaccinated against COVID, 64.5 million people have received their booster shot. So by the way, the numbers are actually pretty decent. And yet this administration is always looking for excuses, excuses as to why now everybody's getting this omnikron variant. You know, it's quite possible and this was said to me by a good friend a source and someone on the left. Yeah, you know, I talk to them too. Occasionally, someone on the left said to me, no, we had a thank. South Africa. We have a thank them because at least at least it's not that horrific a variant. And it's not causing the same kind of

"On the patriot mobile newsmaker line, Trish Regan, she has hosted the Trish Regan's show, which you can listen to and subscribe over on Trish Intel dot com. It's interesting. You guys have a story up that we talked about on the program yesterday. Would you date a Democrat and a poll shows most Democrats will not date Trump supporters? We found, you know, it's interesting. Most of our callers on this yesterday. They say they would just not want to date a Democrat man. They feel like the more manly men in America are in fact the Republican men. Well, you know what, listen. This gets into controversial territory, but I'm a feminine woman who appreciates all the appreciates masculine men. Let me just put it that way. I mean, you know, you want to, you know, there's certain things that I think are great about being a woman and if there are things that are tough, but also great about being a man. And I think that that makes sense to me. I mean I wouldn't want to be married to or dating somebody who didn't think about little chivalries like opening the door. I mean, call it old fashion. I'm sorry. You know, I'm the girl. I'm not going to kill the bug. Do you remember the episode here that there were some sick comment? I remember woman was like, I don't kill the man does. I mean, look, I think that there's just some fundamental things in that are kind of intrinsic, right? And the one problem with that study though Todd was that you see how sort of bias one side is versus the other. I mean, the idea that Democrats will not date a Republican, but yet far more Republicans would date a Democrat that seems kind of messed up

I don't care if you got a really smart kid or a kid that you know is struggling with two plus two. Don't you want your child to have the ability to go as far as they can? Why are we allowing our schools in the name of this wokeness to stop our kids from being the best that we can be? You look at any dataset, what we keep seeing is that Americans are way behind American students are way behind in everything, but certainly in math. Certainly in science. And there's no excuse for that. In order for us to be competitive as a society, in order for our economy to keep growing, we need real education, and that's why I always go back to charter schools and vouchers and giving people school choice, right? Having the opportunity to pick a school that works for you and your child. And this is why I think it all comes full circle. "Perhaps if you have one in your cell or somewhere. Or you can get the gold back IRA or you can do all of it. I just think it's an important thing to consider given where we are with these markets. One 8 6 6 5 8 9 zero 5 6 zero. It's really also critical right now to understand the role of the media in these markets. When you think about the volatility that we have had as of late, I blame the media. You know, on Friday that was a sort of special situation retail investors were really getting squeezed because some of the margin account activity. A lot of people have gotten into this market. And they borrowed to get into this market. I don't like that. I don't believe in that. I think you always need to make sure that you have your emergency fund your money there that's working for you that's in safe a safe, safe, safe place, but you do need as well to be investing for the future. And so not on margin. I mean, that's not something I think the retail investor should be involved. But anyway, there's a lot of margin activity given the margin calls that happened on Friday. It was a short trading day, very, very thin liquidity because all the institutional players were off for the shortened holiday weekend. And the long holiday week in the short trading day to consequently you saw more volatility. So I get that. But what happened on Monday? Okay. Everybody came back in, started buying again. We knew on Monday that the Moderna vaccine was probably not going to be so hot against the omron variant. We know that because on Sunday, the chief medical officer said basically that to the BBC and on Monday, the CEO went on live and did a whole interview on CNBC. We were again. He said exactly that. The headlines were played a little bit differently though. In both the BBC and CNBC, they played those headlines very differently. The FT, however, on Tuesday came out with a screaming headline basically saying that the Moderna vaccine was not going to work against all Macron. And that sent everybody into a tizzy and you saw the market plunge on Tuesday. And then, of course, Paul came out and said, by the way, I'm looking at raising rates because we've got a lot of inflation and so that compounded things. I would actually argue that if the fed does the right thing and actually manages this inflation, then that should be a healthy sign for the markets. Nonetheless, you know, anybody who's believing these media headlines traders fall for it all the time, right? Because they're trading in and out. And they eat that stuff up, all these media headlines, but is an investor as an individual investor. It's really important that you have a sense of self, right, that you know why you're in this market, what you're in this market for and that you stay with it. There is not a reason to sell all your stocks just because the FT runs a headline. If anything, those are your opportunities to get in. What did I do? I bought into the market on Friday. I bought into the market on Tuesday and again on Wednesday. Why? Because when it goes down, that's when you want to go in. You want to go in every week. Mind you. I mean, I'm a big fan of dollar cost averaging because timing markets is just basically impossible. I mean, it really is. I mean, there's no way in all the data proves this you can quite time a market. But when things are getting really ugly, that's when you say, okay, you know what? I'm in it for the long haul. This is my opportunity. One, I'm not going to change my portfolio positions based on some headline out of the FT that the traders go nuts with, and the rest of the media goes nuts with. I'm going to do what I think is right. It's the reason why I got so frustrated back in March 2020. When the market was selling off 2000 points in a day, why? Because the media was making such a big deal not to say it's not a big deal, okay? Look, not to trivialize any of this. We've lost 5 million people. In the world we've lost 800,000 here in the U.S., it is serious stuff, but when you're investing for the long term, you need to be able to cut through the noise and the media has so much noise. I know, look, I've been part of the media. Financial media, my entire career. I know the noise. So focus on fundamentals. Focus on what's really going on. And that will tell you why you need to still stay in this market and look increasingly at getting in on down days. I talk about this a lot, of course on this podcast, do make sure you subscribe to it. Do go to my page, my website. "It's great to have you all here. One of the places that I like consistently and I'll tell you, it just barely barely squeaked by today, but you know everything else was down big time. Gold managed to just break even on the day for a lot of the day it was actually up because people look to something like gold as a way to hedge out some of these concerns. It traded at $1784 and ten cents per ounce, so down just a penny, just a penny, you know, these are times when I like having gold in my portfolio. In fact, it's one of the things that I said to myself earlier today. By the way, I should also point out I went in and I bought the broad indices today because again, I look for these opportunities. I'm a big believer in dollar cost averaging into the market, but then when you see things go really south, you know, that's when if you can manage it and you know that you're anytime that you're investing, it is a gamble and you can't time the market. It's why I like dollar cost averaging. Nonetheless, you want to be there on days when everybody else doesn't. As long as you're holding for the long term, I think that that's a smart play. So I went in and got some of the rod indices pre on previous days when gold has struggled. Those have been moments for me to go into the gold market, but today it managed to do just fine because everybody was looking for some kind of safe haven and safe havens are important when things that help balance everything out. It's the reason why I like having and I don't have a full 5% of gold in my portfolio. But I do recommend that. And I'm working towards that. But it's expensive. It's $1800 or so an ounce right now. 1784. Today I was telling people to buy it last summer, of course, so you would have done very well on that. "Tools, policy tools. They're just throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks politically. But nothing's going to stick politically until you actually fix the issues. So in this case, you've got to fix inflation. How do you fix inflation? Well, it's probably not by allowing the Federal Reserve and I know there's a church and state thing there going on, but if anything, I think that the fed right now is your own power, they're being pushed. They're being encouraged to print this much money. It's not by having a Federal Reserve that just continues to print. And it's not by doing fancy PR moves like pointing the finger at the energy companies suggesting they're the ones that are driving prices up. When it's the market, the market, the global energy markets, that are the real issue. And what is he going to say today? I mean, here he's got this grand move to lower energy prices and prices go up. I predicted 75 to a $100 a barrel. And sure enough, here we are. In that sweet spot, $82 a barrel on international crude on Brent, $78 on West Texas. Look, this is not going to change by Tapping the reserve. The only way this really is going to change is by us making the commitment that we're willing to still recognize the energy has to be not just green, but the old fashioned kind two in the interim, I'm not saying that eventually doesn't all go green.
