"NFL today. At noon Eastern nine, Pacific only on CBS, Zack Killed show CBS Sports Radio. So let me get into this tray, lance situation we actually had tray on and I don't know who could we be real here? Does anyone know when you're referencing something? That has happened in the past since March. Is anyone you actually wanted occurred? Because I say a few weeks and It ends up being a few months. I say a few months and it ends up being like a few days, so we had trade Lance on From some time period of March through Let's go July Sometime in that range. We did have entree Lance, the quarterback of North Dakota State with the bison so North Dakota state played last weekend. And Trey Lance, when 15 of 30, a buck 49 through the air to passing touchdowns, one interception up against central Arkansas. He also had 15 rushing attempts. For 143 yards and two touchdowns If you're not familiar with Trey Lance North Dakota State Bison Q B He was someone that I learned a little from Carson wants in that relationship. Just North Dakota State really credits a lot more to Eastern Stick from my conversation with them, who is now on the depth chart with the Los Angeles Chargers. But Trey Lance, I don't think he was there. What? No, He wasn't there once was there, but he knows them just because of the fact that they have the North Dakota state bison to their name, But the guy he really knows his disease and stick so last year Had a great season. Hey, won a national championship at the C s level and that football team. I'm not going to sit here and pontificate and make it as if I know every single thing about them. But I know that he won the CS Championship. I know he was the offense supplier of the year. He also won the Walter Payton Award and and the Jerry Rice Award. So those are the things that he won last year. And in last season, he put up statistically a great season. Where if memory serves me, right? I don't think they lost the game last year. Yeah, they did not lose the game. And statistically, was 1 71 out of 2 56 little over. Nearly 2500 yards through the air. He had 25 touchdowns, No pics and from a rushing perspective, he had 870 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdown. So The intrigue there, even though there's gambles on what he is because he's an SCS quarterback, and you don't have to go to the biggest school in the world to have success. Joe Flacco went to Delaware. Phil Simms didn't go to a big school. Rich Gannon also went to Delaware, Carson went did attend North Dakota State. So we've seen quarterbacks not go to the biggest schools in the world and end up having success in this league and and a lot of success in this league. You know, I know a little bit different, but Big Ben. Since we brought him up earlier with the Taj Boyd Big Ben didn't Goto a huge SEC school, He went to Miami of Ohio. So the notion that you have to go to a big school to have success. That's not the case. How many times do we see someone get Under locked, Or should I say overlooked because of the fact that they didn't go to a big school and they end up making one of the biggest place in the Super Bowl or something like that. It happens all the time. So here's my question now. What are teams good of you to how they got a view Trade Lance And I think there's a lot of intrigue there. Because of the style of quarterback that he does play. Like I said, I am not a tray lance expert, but we see the way that the league is trending. Where it is very popular to have a mobile quarterback. People are trying to find After last year, the next Lamar Jackson people are trying to find clearly. The next Patrick Mahomes, like Look at Jordan Love. Jordan love off that one good season two years ago, and they had a bad season. Last year. He was a first round pick out a Utah state and the Packers traded up to him because People think maybe one day he could turn into a poor man's version of Patrick Mahomes. You look at someone like Josh Allen. He kills you not only with his arm but with his legs. Having the ability to be a mobile quarterback is so big To be fair. If your traditional pocket passing quarterback there's still a spot for that in the league, like if a Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, where have helpful tomorrow in the draft? You bet your You know what you bet your Takis That a team would find the way for them to make it work. There is something though, about having a little mobility now, which is the new trend, and Trey Lance clearly has that. I'm just wondering how Trey Lance is going to be viewed because he played that one game. And that was a lone game that was scheduled North Dakota State there. I guess they're planning to have a spring season and it would have been foolish for himto. Wait because I won a mock draft right before we had him on someone, but had him going to, I think was Christian Paso. I think it was him. It was someone from CBS. So make sense of it was true Paso And if they mocked the Raiders at 12, they had the Raiders taken. Trey Lance So there was noise about him. Go on 12th overall, and I remember Mikey B. "Engagement? I agree D A. And it will be a top decision. What book? We should have morass. Reid, you know this time of year Big baseball playoff guy. My Oakland A's yesterday won their first winner take all games since 1973 when they beat Willie Mays and the Met Game seven of the world Serious should be Moneyball or maybe something a little bit more difficult. I love it. We're already preparing from arises, Demise. Let's start with North Dakota State and Central Arkansas. No, DAX state laying 23 You like the bison here? I mean, it's senior day, and it's North Dakota state's first and only game off the fall. They're only playing the scheme because it's a glorified pro day for redshirt sophomore quarterback Trey Lance, who's going to be a first round draft pick and might be a top 10 draft pick. The entire NFL is going far go to scout Lance, who is the kind of Off the wall prospect who emerged out of nowhere last year. This whole game is just trying to get good cape of trey lamps for North Dakota State. They're going to run up the score. And remember, this is a team that oh, by the way, won the national title three straight years and eight of the last nine years. Great point. Remember that while the F C s will play football in the spring, Trey Lance is not going to play in the spring because he wants to enter the NFL draft. So this is his show. This is his stopping Everybody Watch how he plays. You're right..

"Don't care what anybody says it hurts and it's not a lot of fun. No stings the whole thing. I. Remember Ever Be North Carolina in the winter up in the mountains boone it gets cold the last year and I remember my wife we were dating at the time it came out and we were at a gas station and we got out. And she I had to inside to get something or whatever I think she accepted pump gas. So she was outside I come back to five, four, three, two, one, five, four, three, two, one, five, four, three, two one now like what are you doing? I'm telling myself once I get to one I, can get back into the car. So she's like his mental five, four, three, two, one, five, thirty, one giving me back in the car reason So our kids do that now all the time when it gets really cold. So you know for up in the mountains or something yeah. No, it's It is a challenge but I think betray land I think the thing that's fascinated by him DJ is he is such a good kid such a good leader. Sure kid higher. Very. Impressive. Very impressive and a bunch of different areas and I. Think when we get to the point where if he does come out and we begin to have these conversations about him. A lot of the stuff that is really important to executives and coaches. When it comes to selecting the quarterback has little to do with the onfield performance it has more to do with the maturity. The Way may handle things in situations and his makeup, and we can talk about North Dakota state big ball but we can say that the last quarterbacks that have come out of there are playing in the national football game well prepared I think he is well prepared to play the national. Football League and I think we will see that as you continue to go forward. Looking forward to keep up with his story as we go through all that actually spent some time breaking down that game after it's done October thirty against central. Arkansas so we'll get a chance to see him and his one game season pretty unique. Well, it's it's different yearbook but man, it feels great to be back in the saddle. We've got some college football. We can talk about we've got NFL football. We've got another coming up on Thursday but isn't it nice just to instead of talking about this team may be good or this guy may have a good year to actually have real football to breakdown. It is great and I think the great thing about the way that a set of dishes without a preseason the overreactions are crazy but off the charges, here's what I want to caution. Everybody teams are GonNa make the big improvement from last week to this week, we will see different teams emerge and we're going to be surprised because teams that we thought were Super Bowl contenders are gonNA fall flat and teams that we were already casting aside, they can play much better I think you. We talked about it their first four games of the season you gotta come to throw away because that is really the free season. Just, find a way to scratch out one or two wins and stay alive. That's all you gotTa do during these four games and then off we go. All right. That was fun. One today I want to thank you guys for leaving us those ratings and reviews on apple podcast. We do appreciate it. Thanks.

"Delete man. Is Great so so this is a unique set of circumstances. Obviously, you got a lot of attention this off season people are talking about you talking about not only what you guys do at a level of what you potentially can do it the next level you have a game coming up October third against Central Arkansas. Do you feel any added pressure because this is the only game on your your regular season schedule is how how do you even treat this game going into it? just just another game, go our district like the first game this season for us You know obviously, it'll be different, not not having two and three you know and so on but it's it's been a good opportunity for us to learn in non essential Arkansas having played two games already played again this Saturday it's good for us. I think it's a great. Thing for us to be able to watch watch their current film, they're coming to you banking on last year. So and we've kind of grown and developed a lot. But mentally I don't think it's a whole lot different for me Obviously, you know the media and you guys are going to talk about everything that you need to talk about from Frisk football game For the opportunity another game if I coaches with. Libby. Seniors. Just, sending them out the right way I. it wouldn't have been right for some of the guys that won't become back into spring for them to win a national championship they can they have a whole `nother year left it never did put the pads on again So super thank for them. that opportunity who will be some there forever. Last question from me I. Know You gotTa you gotTa run here and get ready. A free work there. But a lot of quarterbacks come from Texas and come from California and a Lotta Times. You'll get picked Josh Allen somebody who grew up in California but then it gets draft by the Buffalo Bills Sam darnold goes to the jets from southern California. They always question whether they can these guys who do when they played in cold weather games. I would imagine spending your time in Minnesota and North Dakota your fair share of cold weather stories. Give me your best cold weather game story that you've got. I mean.

"Think about Carson Winston Eastern stick you will appear to be the next one in line what is it about the culture of the Senate that you guys have their prepares quarterbacks to go on in advance beyond college? the expectations are kind of a new level. I don't know if I would've been expecting it and also just the type of people that we recruit here I guess coaching staff recruits here. We don't have guys that are that. You know you have to worry about. You know we don't have guys that you have to worry about making decisions about decisions off the field. We just don't don't have those guys here. Than just talking to a lot of guys at other schools across the country since a lot different here than than other places. You home with your freshman year regardless of opposition you by fine quarterback. I'm probably more thankful that I don't have to do with as much of the the rookie. Punishments and things like that. But just like I said, it's just different meeting Easterner, my attorney processes part of live here now. In, decided to come you're so early just the type of person he was he wanted to help me. My Richard Richard Year on my first yard campus easily senior kind of new the opportunity by the next level and he he didn't have to worry about anything at that point. He definitely did not help me as much as he did. You know I was able to steal his notes, follow him around and kind of be shadow for that first year and just this how willing he wants to answer my questions and and Just, just spent time with me. I think that's a lot about him in a lot about the culture here. But we're getting towards the end of baseball season right now and baseball. You have those hitting streaks in people very conscious when they have kind of a long hitting streak going in football you had a unique streak where you made it through the entire season without throwing an interception..

"Be a key player in that game he's going to be matched up with Clyde Edwards layer two rookies going to be a good match up to watch their linebacker and running back but it's GonNa be fun to watch that whole division unfold. Buck, let's get to our conversation here with trae Lance. This is the quarterback from North Dakota, state fascinating fascinating player in college football. Somebody we both have a great deal appreciation for as a talent, but got a chance to visit with him, and here's that conversation. Block excited to be joined by trae Lance. One of the top quarterbacks in college football this year trey thanks for taking some time for how you doing ma'am. Absolutely I'm doing well, thanks for having. This is this has been a different year for all of us, but I would love to just go inside what your routine is. Look like since the pandemic kit in and trying to get yourself ready for what is a unique one game college football season for you. Yeah it's been crazy. It seems like a while ago you know back in had having to practices spring ball and then incent home thinking. It's just GonNa be an extra week of spring break maybe. then. School being shut down and going back shoot. It feels like forever ago. But not a lot of opportunities that I probably wouldn't have had to talk and work with a lot of different people that I don't know if I would have during spring ball during the regular you're. Trying to make the best out of it obviously, like you said this unique situation, I'm just thankful to have one game to play our seniors and some of the guys that this'll be their last last time pads. So. Super. Thank for that opportunity. Obviously, it's it's weird situation. It's crazy unprecedented all those things, but just excited for the opportunity. You know terrain and thinking about that because so much going into this year was riding on your performance. People were excited about people talking about you and your team in the way that you guys dominated that level. But from a personal standpoint, how do you work on your game when you're not really able to get around coaches and stuff like has everything been virtual for you? Have you been able to kind of bounce around half people do it like what have you been able to do to continue to sharpen your skills? During the middle kind of the beginning of the pandemic. Obviously, we're all kind of sent home off campus and everything like that But you know being from Minnesota North Dakota law more open. Awesome. Get into jams and get on fields a lot more readily than Minnesota as we ought guys. Offensively I came back during that that summer period we were before we sat down. Our while we were shut down, excuse me of a June first on the guys on campus were back So thankfully, we're able to to get testing and things like that. Through our university not budig department. So super thank for everyone involved in that but these last few weeks I mean it's been pretty normal for us. Obviously, you know normal as normal as normal can be I guess during these times are. Wear mass everyone's you know social distancing things like that believe in practice..

"Miss I know the guys misfield goes inside a terrible day but I've come on your You have no shot in. Dj. It goes back to the scene and you hear this a lot and coaching circles more games are lost than. And the mismanagement of games on your in typically affects you more than what the other team does, and so I believe that the Denver Broncos are going to be sick to their stomach when they look at tatum and they've realized their own one because they frittered away a gain, they really were in control of and one that should have walked away with the W. Let's go big picture real quick on that division when you look at AFC. West, we've seen them all play. Now the raiders go on the road they beat the panthers charges equal out on the road against the bengals. Feels like a million years ago when we saw the Kansas City chiefs just get after the Houston Texans on that opener Thursday night, and then you have this game here. What the Broncos. What's What's your take away from this division top to bottom. Talked about him I think he comes down to the charges in the chiefs I think they're. In my mind by four, the two best teams in the division. The chiefs have everything that you want like they're fast team but man a give them the counterpunch that man just absolutely creates nightmares for defensive coordinator because if you take away all the options in the passing game. Any reader shown if you handed to the runningback twenty five times, they haven't even tapped into his skills as a wide receiver, and so they are a problem. The team I think in matchup is obviously to charges. I'm a little disappointed that they lit Cincinnati hang around. But from a talent standpoint, they have enough talent on defense to slow them down to the thing will be offensively candidate generate enough point you slug with them stay in the game and that is what I don't know I mean I like some of the stuff they were trying to do but they have..

He hangs it up it's intercepted and that kind of crushed their momentum because the giants we can say a lot of things about Joe jet I felt like they played hard. I felt like they didn't have any major hiccups when it came to mental misusing in issues, they just have to score and they're more era is a little thinner than other teams because they just don't have the talent to overwhelm. Yeah. Here. Here's the problem to me with giants is that you've your team searching for that identity and what Dave gettleman they've announced what their identities. They take a running back in the top five of the draft. They just took off offensive lineman. They'd spent big money obviously needs solar unable opted out. So he's not out there, but they've invested all their money in that. You go out and then you trade for learn Williams, you pay him a bunch of money you go out and draft big lawrence like they have tried to form this big hog. Molly physicality. Type of identity and you go up against a team that historically been one of the more physical teams in the NFL and you have a long way to go before that identity is going to be able to match up with the teams that truly have embodied that identity for a long period of time. Yes. One thing to talk about it. It's another thing to be about it and the New York giants have to be about it. They, WanNa live that light they wanna be the physical team they wanna play like the bullies on the block. Everything has to be about making sure that the guys that you get of fit that mold and it's not just a invest in offensive line and we're investment in running back. We're investing and tough physical dues they when we turn on the tape, that's what we see. We see the mall or is because as you can attest. Your time in Baltimore and other places like when you talk about the way that we play in Baltimore those guys have to already play like you don't get to Baltimore and then you hit the button and say, Hey, you're going to play like that. No. That is already in your DNA when I was with the Carolina Panthers on Fox that we believe we WANNA physical tough dudes that toughness and physicality that shows up in their college tape..

"And now move the sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks. What's up everybody welcome to move the sticks presented by axes Dj back with your buck how you doing man I'm doing great coming off of a great Monday night football doubleheader two games to watch pretty well, two for one two for one special. I'M NOT GONNA lie did watch a good bit of the padres dodgers game I did sneak that in also got a little bit of a nap at the beginning of the giants game. I was tired man get up early Monday get back you're watching tape. You're you up early on grinding on all Tony to preparing aftermath, which is always a great show like so much knowledge guys are passing on for everyone to consume. Like is terrific. You read Steve, Mike Silver? Pretty showman. Now I appreciate it was it was good. Those great to have a double header. And we have a big coming up today by the way. So you WANNA stick stay tuned for that. We've got tray Lance quarterback from North Dakota state who's going to join the show. Somebody, who has a unique opportunity ahead one game season Again I keep going back to rocky for like this is Apollo creed versus Ivan. Drago. This is supposed to be an exhibition. Just. Just one night only. Get a chance to go out there and show what he can do, and then he has a big decision to make about whether to come back to school or to enter the twenty twenty one NFL draft we're GONNA get a chance to visit with him. He's a fantastic player. There are a lot of people that are fascinated. By his game and his potential at the next level particularly within scouting circle. So I can't wait to talk to him. There's a lot is a lot to offer as a quarterback I think are gonna be intrigued to hear. The recruiting story with him. We always ask those questions. How does somebody arrive at a place like North Dakota state when he's potentially a top ten pick Many grew up and played in big ten country in Minnesota. It wasn't that those schools didn't offer him. Well, I'll leave it at that. We'll get. We'll let him tell the story the rest of the story there. But let's start with what we saw last night in that first game, the giants going up against the Pittsburgh steelers just your overall take away from that one overall takeaway look I thought it was a pretty clean game. Wasn't really sloppy. I think I was very impressed with Pittsburgh steelers defense. The Pittsburgh steelers made a concerted effort to really bottle up saquon Barkley and you can see them not only bringing pressure but all eyes were on saquon Barkley in the backfield they were committed to making sure that he didn't hurt them as a.

"Morning at 10 on extra sports 1300. Boston P versus Central Arkansas. These are two good teams. The rank F C S. But when it comes to the F C s, it's North Dakota State 16. And no last year be James Madison to win the title again. And Madden's is their head coach who joins us this morning. Good morning coaches. How are you? I'm Joe. Dan. Thanks for having having me on today. Alright? Explained to me you're playing one game this year. Now. Was there any thought any hope any chance of playing Mohr than one game this year? Well, Originally, it was our intent. When our conference allowed us to play three nonconference in the fall of our administration was trying to find those three games. We probably went through six or seven options. It just became extremely difficult. As you see, our geographical location doesn't allow for many road or just bus trips to play people. And so we're fortunate to come up with one game. You know, I know you mentioned it's 16 and old last year, but the one thing about India's You've got great tradition. Great history. We play football here, and so we needed to have at least one game this fall. Any division One teams. I know you were slated to open up with Oregon. I believe, but any have you heard from any other schools that wanted to schedule you? Not at this time. We have we There was always conversation. There was what ifs, but we never had anything really in stone leading up to this game against that central Arkansas. What is playing one game allow you to do as a coach. Well, what it's going to allow us to do here moving forward is we're going to get six weeks of 20 hour rule. That's gonna enable us to continue to coach our kids practice on the field. Get our young kids indoctrinated into what it takes to be advising. On, and more importantly, it's going to help us prepare for eight game season that we intend to have in the spring. Right. You're going to play this game on October 3rd at home against Central Arkansas. Correct. So you'll be watching that game on Saturday night with Austin P. And so from for sure, Definitely, we'll be watching. Okay a lot. What came out about the You're going to play one game Is that Trey Lance's Your Star quarterback? A through what? 28 touchdowns, No interceptions last year. And is moving up the draft boards here. How important is this? Is this a showcase game for trail ends in your opinion? It's funny. You bring that up. We just had a team meeting yesterday, and we talked about the exact same conversation our local media national media have talked about. They've used the word showcase. Often, I told our players this game is not about one player or one individual, our programs bigger than me. It's bigger than any one individual on our football team. This is about the BIS. And it's about the bison. Tryingto continue the tradition we've had The level of excellence that we've tried to play with over the course of the last 10 years. We're trying to find ways to continue to get better, and it happens that we have a couple really good football players along the way, but they're just parts of the programme. We're going to move forward trying to win this game and get better along the way. Yeah, but there's a lot of steak. It feels like if if it is framed as showcasing Trey lands if he doesn't play well, That that could have an impact. Even if he does play well. People are probably going to say well was against central Arkansas at home, so I I didn't know if it was in your mind going to beef. It felt like people are overthinking this to say. They're basically having a pro day for Trey Lance against Central Arkansas in October. That was never our intent. Our intent was to have a game where we could get the entire football team ready to play a game in October if I had not seen Trey Lance play How would you describe him? Unbelievably calm. Poised football player has as great mobility has unbelievably strong arms to make all the throws on the football field, you know, and his biggest factor or the biggest positive eyes above the shoulders. He's an extremely intelligent young man has a lot of room to continue to grow and develop and learn. But where he's at right now is very impressive as a 20 year old college quarterback. Did any division team division One team try to get him to transfer. Not that I'm aware of. Now. Then, as you know, there's a There's a lot of bat phones. There's a lot of times probably happened that the head coach never get. So it gets a chance to hear about. That is always a concern at our institution. Because of the quality of of athletes we have in the development that we put in orchids. What do you think he does better than Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. He's the best train Lance that I know I'm not. I'm not here to compare to other quarterbacks. I know that he has a great skill set. I know that there's ah, huge conversation going on right now where he fits in the NFL draft, and all I know is he's our He's India's use. First round draft pick right now, and we're going to continue to win games and we anticipate winning games with Trey and future heir. You're going to be getting some phone calls, though. Have you already gotten phone calls on entree from animals? We have we've and we're fortunate now at NDS you our product on the field spend good enough that we have 32. NFL teams come through our fall camp and through spring every year and so they've all kept track of of trade. But we've also myself. I've reached out to pry half dozen NFL G. M's and had some one on one conversation just where he falls because I see it as part of my job is a head football coach, not influence his.

"The border, Anchorage to Atlanta Green Bay to Greensboro, Kalamazoo, would Waterloo away? Around the air. They listening to everything. We're saying the everything. Thanks everybody for joining us this morning on this trash Tuesday. As always, we want to know what's bugging you. There's always something there's always something that's irritating, irritating, aggravating. And so this is where we event in a healthy fashion. Each and every week I encourage you to either tweet at me. What is bugging you who is bugging you? By simply tweeting at me, DEA on CBS. Follow me and send your tweets there, D A on CBS. I'll read through those trashes throughout the morning. Also, you can dial me up on our tollfree line and let me know who's bugging you as well over the phone. My phone number is as follows 855 to 1 to four, CBS. Again. That's 855 to 124227 coming up this morning on the show will get to our trash is next hour here on the show, So stay tuned for that will get some things off of our chess next hour. Also next hour will be Canadian Bacon, your whip around coverage of the day in the Stanley Cup, a knight of the Stanley Cup playoffs. Jared Greenberg is going to join us for the N BA on T N T handle sideline reporting there for the N B, A on TNT. And last night, another night of the NBA's postseasons first round. Jared will join us coming up in our number four elsewhere this morning on the program. Or the Brooklyn Nets, chasing ghosts in terms of trying to lure Gregg Popovich to be their head coach. Also the Miami he end up completing their sweep of the Indiana Pacers of the first round. What did we learn from Miami's four games? Siri's over the Pacers. We have a Russell Westbrook versus ex teammates moment in the thunder versus Rockets, and on a football standpoint, this is a really cool story. North Dakota State has a highly projected first round prospect at quarterback Trey Lance. North Dakota State, though, has no game scheduled for the fall. If anything they would play in the spring because of this, North Dakota state said. Well, Trey Lance Deserve to have one game as a showcase before the upcoming draft in case he does not play in the spring, and so North Dakota state has scheduled one football game one For the entire fall semester just as a showcase with all of the eyes of the NFL on their quarterback for one day. Could this be the start of something? I'm fascinated by this story will do that coming up later on to the show as well. So all of that is on the table again. If you want a way in on any of those topics or any other topic set us up at 855 to 12 for CBS, but we begin with the Lakers and Blazers. And with the way the Lakers had Restarted inside the bubble and the way that the blaze their search to get that number eight seed. And the way the Damian Lillard was playing so big, so above the rim, but also a guy that was knocking down huge shots from beyond the arc with a Portland Trail Blazers team that was coming together at the right time was healthy at the right time was white hot in terms of their mo mentum going into The actual playoffs and the way that the Lakers really simply could not assert themselves in the restart. It felt like this was going to be a really long Siri's. I know. I thought it was going to be And then game one went to the Blazers. And Lo and behold. Yeah, we were saying it again. Wow, This could be a problem for the Lakers, because this is not your normal eight seed. And yet, three games later, the Lakers have a dominant 31 Siri's lead, and last night it was not a contest. Lost. Angeles flexed its muscles all night long, jumped out to an early lead and then coasted from there. A runaway blowout victory by the Lakers. Now they lead three games to one. The question this morning is or we actually seeing the Lakers return. To mid season form. It is where we begin your cold Open, Anfernee Simon Springs and in five seconds left, he's dribbling. He's dribbling. He lets it expire but doesn't and that's it. The final score. Lakers won 35 Portland 1 15, and it was not as close as the 20.

"And then at five to one, I've toyed and gone back and forth with this I still think there's some unknown with Brady areas and how the offense is perfectly going to fit each other. But their team is really really talented and we know when Tom Brady has weapons he dominates in the last couple years. New. England. He just hasn't had the weapons I mean last year Nicole, the draft, the first round no-show injured. Sony Michelle stunk. Banged up. They just had nothing now he's got Mike Evans Godwin that's at wide receiver. He's got gronk back who looks healthy he's got OJ. Howard. He's got an offensive coach if he can adapt his style the Tom who sure as hell knows what he's doing Todd Bowles, their defensive coordinator now like Seattle that divisions really hard. The saints are going to be good and the thing with the saints of the niners like they're both three and four to one depending on where you look. I like the saints last year I thought I mean like, Seattle. They played the niners. They easily could have won the game they lost at the superdome. But to lose a playoff game at home against Minnesota. I still can't believe I witnessed that how did they lose a kirk cousins at home back when you have fans and your team was clearly loaded that wasn't embarrassing loss. So I got some question marks there. ATLANTA. They always going through some shit and Carolina's going to be terrible. I just I bend against Tom Brady if he gets in the playoffs and I think the top Tampa Bay buccaneers haven't been in the playoffs twelve years I. Think it's fair to say that's going to end this year and then just take your chances with all that talent. You know come come January at five to one not crazy. Good Morning. "With the AFC. The bills at eleven to one. They should win the division. And I think the Patriots are going to be decent. The just probably won't be think dolphins are any good either and the Patriots have a lot of moving parts right first time without Brady Cam Newton. I still believe in ballot check but I think Jim. Kelly said it. Right when Tom Brady left like there's no excuse, the bills have to win the division this year they tried to get Steph on their defense is really good. They got a head coach who knows what he's doing. At eleven to one like decent odds to win the AFC. Now, if you're going to bet on them, you'd have to be putting on a lot of stock for the quarterback to get better and that's pretty risky part of the reason they're not five to one. Their eleven to one is look at odds not terrible. Even, at three to one and I didn't pick many no brainers you could argue the chiefs might just be stealing the they could go on a Patriot run and just make the Super Bowl four times in the next six years. But specifically this year, they got twenty of twenty two players returning. They had a sweet little running back. Their second round linebacker that I've been reading about kid gay from Mississippi State. He's going to be good. They have the best player in the League they have arguably the best play collar in the league, they have a loaded offense. I usually don't like betting on someone three to one to win the conference but. You put a thousand bucks and win Lisi three thousand right there. The steelers they went eight last year and like the bills their eleven to one. If you tell me rothlisberger has healthy I like them eleven to one a lot more than the bills eleven to one. You tell me Rothlisberger burgers healthy. They're eleven twelve. Windy. Now, I've said over and over I don't trust Ben. Technology..

"And the media and the people that you covered the sport. Let's face it through twitter and social media. We've seen their political views and they despise big business. It's one thing. It's one reason why when people like you remember the media like Kinda like I just I sell my opinions I view myself really Moore's businessman 'cause I see the people in the media and I don't have that much in common with them like I love business I like money. I. Root for other people to be successful when I see other businesses that. Are crushing it. I applaud them like I'm rooting for I root for capitalism. So like I don't know anyone in the League office Roger Goodell could be an asshole but the league is crushed and you can you can give me all these different variables and the reason why they have all I know is that they lap these other sports and during that period of time they got a lot of Hay and as many ways, people have told me throughout my life, the wind usually blows the hardest at the top of the mountain. And the NFL has felt that wrath over the last decade again I'm not saying they've done everything perfect. But when it comes to business, which is what they've run they dominate. So when they got this corona strategy in, here's another thing. The media gets very, very uncomfortable when people like myself say that they've rooted against sports and I don't necessarily think they've rooted against sports but in two thousand and twenty probably more than any time in world history because of social media. When you have an opinion, you want to stick to that opinion. And clearly, a lot of people in the media despise politics in this country in. Donald Trump. And Donald Trump and it feels as coronas become. Politicized. It feels like you're either on one side or the other side. Say this about myself. I'm rooting for Corona to go away. I'm rooting for businesses to come back I. Don't know how that's political. I don't know when rooting for the economy and people to be able to put food on their table became political, but the fact of the matter is. Where we've become so a lot of people in the media and I've seen Peter King and different people on twitter that got mad cow brand of the NFL network. When he tweeted out this comment, like, are you rooting against it and let's face it. You Fall Florio you fall Peter King and some of these guys on social. Media. Over a period of time and I like feeder. But there have been instances where just feels like because if corona wins out in the NFL fails or sports in general fail or we gotta keep locking down their opinion was justified. And I'm not dumb enough. Hopefully, these guys realize that of course, you want the NFL to be played that's what pays all of their salaries. But when you're anti-business I, don't think you often understand that which is crazy to think about but that's just the nature of sometimes in the media I. Don't think people realize it's helped me running my own business. Like how the revenue comes in like I'm a big fan of being creative started youtube channel but I also understand that you can't keep going without revenue coming in. And I think the NFL understood and they've been lucky because they have an unlimited amount of resources..

Trevor Lawrence sparks united #WeWantToPlay movement, players association goal as 2020 season hangs in balance

"Let me ask you. You've seen this trending some of the biggest players in college football. Justin Fields, Trevor Laurence. We want to play. We saw Trey Lance at NDS you their quarterback who's going to probably be a top 10 pick. He wants to play. What do you think about the players and certain programs coming out saying Let us play, But yet here we're gonna have the conference is probably cancel it. I'll start with the players. I have a ton of respect for Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields in trail and to be honest for guys to speak out, because those guys probably more so than anyone. That plant on playing college football in 2020. They have the most to lose, right. I mean, I would say they're probably all top 10 picks. I haven't seen anything on Justin feels lately, but I know he's talented as they come. Trevor Laurence and obviously Trey Lance, but You look at those guys to speak out and use their platform for their fellow college athletes. I have a ton of respect for that, but at the same time I don't really agree with them because for two reasons, the 1st 1 being They obviously want to play the same way that I have friends that wanted to have their wedding this summer. I have you know people that want to go on trips and people that want to go visit their parents without fear of Dean, asymptomatic carrier and passing covert along to them, so people want to do a lot of things. That doesn't mean we should or that doesn't mean that we Are allowed to right now because during a global pandemic times are just different. Like I want to hop on a plane and go visit friends. But guess what? I cannot do that right now. At least I should not be doing that right now because it's in the best interest. Or of the general health of myself in the population and those around me, So we're making those sacrifices in college football is not immune to to those things, and at the same time if you're a college athlete I feel like if I was a charge of the College Football Players committee, not that they have one of those, but they had a union or something. I would have waited until the conference schedules said Hey, do you know what we are going to play football this year? And then I would use that as leverage to Seo so are being treated differently than normal students who are all at home doing virtual learning. I feel as if we should be compensated for this. And if they were gonna pay, they should be paid to play because they're essential employees now at this point, right? You have normal student at home taking classes on mine, but you're going to ask the players. To travel to pay rent to live on campus and then you know, go risk their health and their livelihood on the field. That's what in central employees, in fact is, so I don't know. I understand the competitive desire. I feel like I would probably have the same mentality. A 20 Thinking you can't touch me. I want to play college football is my senior year. But at the end of the day, I want to do a lot of things. But much smarter People tell me I shouldn't do those things.
