I, so I, I thought, I think they did a really good job to get to the by three and three, like, and I think like to be able to win two in a row now and Joe put together, I think six quarters are really good football. They weren't as good in the second half. Right. But six quarters are really good football, four against Arizona, two against Seattle. And now he's got a two week layoff until his next game. It feels like that's a team where it could really come together with them. Cause the defensive line won that game. Like if you watch the end of that game, like it was Trey Hendrickson, Sam Hubbard, DJ reader, BJ Hill with a big play at the end of the game, like the D line won that game for them. And the secondary build them out in big spots in the second half, Mike Hilton had a pick, Cam Taylor, Britt had a pick.

"Ja'Marr chase and Tyler Boyd and T Higgins along with Joe Mixon who, by the way, they didn't use nearly enough the other day, along with burrow who's playing at the level that he is, Harry, how are the Cincinnati Bengals not in the top 5 this week? Well, I'll tell you this. When you look at the Cincinnati Bengals, I believe they might only have one win versus a team with ten wins. When you look at the Arizona Cardinals, they have a win against the tennesse Titans. They have a win against the Los Angeles Rams. They have a win against the Dallas Cowboys, right? And they are 11 and 5 right now. So that's why they are at the number 5 spot. And when I look at the games, the three game losing street that they had. The only game where I thought the game really got away from them was the Detroit game, right? That game was just terrible across the board. The rest of those games against the Los Angeles Rams, it wasn't a blowout, against I'm trying to remember who was the team before. Against the Indianapolis coats, it wasn't a blowout, right? The only game in that three game losing street that was downhill was against the Detroit Lions, but they found a way to get it done against a cowboys team that a lot of people think Holly of or before last week, but blues into the Arizona Cardinals thought very highly of. And that's why I got them in the number 5 spot. Okay. But the bangles, but I'll tell you this. When you look at the Cincinnati Bengals, right? They have a guy in the top 5 and four categories in the NFL. Quarterback is top 5 in passing, the running back is number two in Russian. They have a top 5 receiver right now, and then they have a top 5 in sacks and Trey hendrickson. So as trade hitting, Jamar chase, Joe Mixon and Joe burrow. So those are, listen, they have the guys to do some damage. The only thing that I say about them is, can they do it consistently? Because every time we've tried to crown Cincinnati this year, what happened? They got blew out by Justin Herbert in the Los Angeles chargers. What happened other time? They got beat by Mike white in New York Jets who threw four over 400 yards against him. So it's to trust factor because they may be good this week or two weeks in a row, but how they're going to be that following week. So then to be so young, I want to see them do it consistently. I get it. And I think this past week you saw a team that actually handled adversity in being down 14 zip in 21 7 and they handled success well in that they had won the game over the ravens the week before in an unbelievable performance. I also would throw at you with the Cardinals. I mean, listen, they did lose to the Panthers 34 ten at one point. So all of that there, but we've had a lot of teams in the National Football League this year just lose crazy games. The title. At some point. That's happening. That's the situation. Not another. I'm just wow, no, I'm just saying. But I'm saying, right, and I'm keeping it real too. You've had multiplicity of teams that's in the top ten in the National Football League, lose games that they weren't supposed to lose this year. Am I right out of my room? Oh, absolutely. Okay. Absolutely true. Now, Harry, talk to me, Chris. Where are you putting the Dallas Cowboys right now? Dallas Cowboys, let's say my 6 would be my 6 would be the Bengals, and I put the cowboys at 7. What? Yep. I almost feel like we have to do that out of just like we're contractually obligated or something. But I'll tell you this with the Dallas Cowboys when they're hitting them all cylinders. They are forced to be reckoned with. The thing about it right now, we don't know where we're going to get. So that's why I don't have it in my top 5. And then you have the coach, the coach aspect of it, Mike McCarthy. We don't know what he's going to do for this football team and how he's going to cost him down the stretch. So you have all those things you got to factor in. I mean, Mike McCarthy, it's funny. We talk about his role with the cowboys and how bad he has been with time management. Yes. And yet you wonder moving forward is he going to be there a guy? I have no reason to think he is not going to be their guy for the long haul because of how long Jerry Jones was more than willing to ride with Jason Garrett as long as Jason Garrett and what he wants him to do. Well, and I'll say this if the Dallas Cowboys go to the playoffs and they get a first round exit and it's in the moralizing fashion. Jerry Jones will have some thinking to do. Because now, you have Kellen Moore who a lot of people said ascending a bit will be a head coach at some point. You have Dan Quinn, who just turned down to be interviewed for the Jacksonville Jaguars recently. You have him who has head coaching experience. You have two guys right there. I thought another guy out there got it. I love Joe witt junior. I don't think he gets enough credit. He coaches the secondary and does a lot of their past past game coordinating stuff, defensively for the Dallas Cowboys, but I like Joe witch junior. I think he's a guy who needs an opportunity to get a head coaching job at some point somewhere. He's been doing it for a long time. He has the bloodline to ties with his father as well. So I think he deserves an opportunity to be mentioned in some of these jobs. That will be coming up after the season. I mean, not in his reason history, certainly. Uh, no, look, they believe in this guy for better or for worse. It's the guy they picked to coach their team a couple of years ago and overall, they feel like he's done a good job. Yeah, I think it's, you know, the clock management stuff is significant. And potentially costly, but big picture, the cowboys ownership is happy with what McCarthy's done in the tone he's set and where the franchise is. They're not going to get rid of him. Yeah, I think this is an overreaction. You look at what Mike McCarthy has been able to do with this team, or should I say the team has been able to do a bike McCarthy? But you look at it from that perspective and they are going to the playoffs. Now, grass I just said if they have an early round exit and it's in a demoralizing fashion, they may be some talks have, but he's going to have another year. Now, next year, if some things don't go the way they wanted to go, it may be some talks in those regards, but right now I think it's overreaction. Agreed, a grade. I don't see him going anywhere. All right, next Joe burrow will win a Super Bowl championship with the Bengals. Overreaction? Not an overreaction. It's not. How can you not be excited about Joe burrow and the way he looks right now? And when you think about picking a quarterback number one overall, what are you hoping to get? "I think he was in the right spot moving over to three technique there in Cincinnati. I'll take him on my team, same thing with DJ Jones and same thing on the nose with my guy, university of Connecticut's own folu, fatu kasi. Yeah, fatu kasi, baby. Yeah, DJ Jones beast. I think he really came on to. Like, I think there's still some ascent there. Like that's probably my buy. One of your highest ceiling. Guys there at that position. But man, you know, just looking at this list is crazy how much Cincinnati's gonna have to replace up front. To kind of reinvigorate Trey hendrickson and Hubbard and everything they got going on there. But you know, there's some guys here. You could make it work. I think you know, if you were like, if you're the Chargers, for example, like there's some stuff here, you could pick from to kind of make your make your deal happen, you know? And Sheldon Richardson is always going to be like hyper athletic and dutifully fill a space. So I don't know. I think there's some stuff to like there. Just go get fatu kasi, you'll eat some blocks for you. He'll make everyone on your line better. Go get them, Brandon staley. Big husky. The edge guys, lots of and look, we talk about the free agent class. These guys hit free agency for a reason. There's no perfect dudes out there. Everyone has some Maya red flags. Most of these edge guys, it's age at this point. Chandler Jones von Miller, let's see, Harold Landry is off the board at this point. To deviant Clowney. Clowney, Jerry Hughes. Jerry yuzu never misses time, but probably is ready for something of a reduced role. But these guys, they're older, but they age well and we've talked about it a lot in the last couple of weeks. "It was like a 72 yard touchdown. He makes a he catches like a 5 yard slant or hits or something makes people miss runs for a long touchdown a bunch of yards after the catch. And it really sparks Cincinnati. And in this game, he had 11 catches for 266 yards and three touchdowns. And all year, Jamar chase is elevated his team and made a difference and helped his football team win games. Let's be clear. He was the right pick. I was wrong. I am so glad I was wrong. I remember being like, they should have got penne sewell, idiots. Why would they draft him receiver? Receivers don't help you win games. David proven wrong, so many times. And I love it, man. And I got to acknowledge it. And I truly, I enjoy being wrong, because the Bengals are so much fun to watch. And there's some YouTube comment throughout there. I forget his name, I don't really care. He was like, I can't wait to watch Zack Schumer be disappointed when Kansas City beats the Bengals. No, no, no. No, it was an awesome moment. Cincinnati won. And I really love what job was done elevating the Bengals and beating Kansas City was the culmination of so many good moves made by Cincinnati. It's not just Jamar chase, it's not just drafting Joe burrow. It's bringing in Larry ogan Joby from Cleveland. Trey hendrickson from New Orleans. BJ hill from the Giants. Casey put up 28 points in the first half of this football game and only three points in the second half. That defense stepped up. Great coverage in the second half, getting pressure with their front four. A lot of pressure on Patrick Mahomes. And then look, man, Joey B made throw after throw after throw. He was dealing. That dude looks like a Hall of Fame quarterback already. And it's kind of funny actually, you know, the ravens defensive coordinator like last week said, well, let's not put him on the Hall of Fame just yet. And yeah, it's a year or two, that's a bit ridiculous. Who knows how his career is going to play out. But, man, like, I'm telling you. I am not over hyping Joe bro. In fact, if anything, I am somehow underselling Joe burrow. Joe burrow was 30 for 39 passing against a really good Kansas City defense. It's made Casey's defense is really come alive in the second half of the year. And Joe burrow shredded them 446 yards four touchdowns, zero turnovers, and the guy got hit a ton. He's the most sacked quarterback in the entire NFL. The offensive line, they still need work. I mean, Joe got his nameplate ripped off of the back of his Jersey. He was getting hit so much. He probably ripped him off. I'm sure he ripped it the rest of it off himself. But I remember watching it slowly peel off his Jersey. And I got things like barely hanging on. And in spite of the fact that the ovens online is struggling. It's by the fact that he's having to really, how many times have you watched Joe burrow at all? He's avoiding sacks. He's making people miss. He's turning what should be losses into big throws downfield..

He throws it late in behind jefferson. Y because there's pressure in his face the interior of this line the push. They got the way they were able to just slow down. Alvin cook sat kirk cousins. Three times hit a bunch more. It was such a great combo. And then the other guy. 'cause we're gonna get to the interior. I'm sure trey hendrickson. I thought had a hell of a game agreed. You look at his numbers. Not their's disruptive pressures almost a couple strip sacks. I mean there was a couple times where he almost got it and he's going to get their other times so that was a heck of a performance by that first game. "At what he does in his his Ability to kind of feel like he is in total control of everything that happened from all the way back weeks ago when the game playing got put in. I know that last preseason game he got the guy's a getaway, and it said Come back. Have you blanks ready to go? It was It was a defining moment to say. This is now my team. Speaking of this team on the defensive land, they go out and get Hendrickson. Uh, guys that have 13 a half sex I believe last year, saying we've got to get pressure on the quarterback. There's got to be a different look to the defensive line this year. You know, you got this first month of the season here where there are teams who have weaknesses on the offensive line where you're looking at their team, and that's where you can exploit them. You have paid a whole lot of people up front to make this better. That was the problem Last year, they didn't get enough pressure. Most Pacific Lee of the middle you have t J reader back. You paid. Larry Ogunjobi. You have traded for B J Hill sacrificing some of your depth on the offensive line. Josh Trupo has come back and supposed to give you more. You know, some of these other guys who paid Sam Hubbard paid Trey Hendrickson. Those guys got to earn it for you this next month. You've got to take advantage of these teams that have issues up front and whether that means stopping to run when you throw in some of those guys who set you up. But you've got to get after him. Particularly, you have to get much more pressure from those middle guys in order to let the outside edges eat. And to me, That's the difference. We talk about the first month. We got to talk about this defensive line needs to wreck people the way Mike.

End up Joe Burrow is looking forward to a big game today, and I tell you what Jonah Williams is going to help make that happen. He's coming into his third season and been entrusted. With the left side of that offensive line are Dan who had caught up with him and this week's walls. Business Solution Player interview. Jonah You are noticeably bigger this year based on training camp and 20 snaps and preseason games. Can you tell if bigger is better? And if so, why? I think so. I feel I feel good. It's hard to tell if that's due to technique or if that's you know the weight and strength helping out, but I think it's definitely been a good thing to put on a little bit of weight. It's not a huge sample size, but you were involved in 11 pass blocking snaps in the preseason games and did not allow any pressures, at least according to pro football focus. You're blocking against chase young on several of those plays. How do you feel? You did. I think I You know, I'm happy with how I played. But as a person who wants to get better, You know, that's what that's what we practiced for. And that's what the seasons for, Um, you know, so I think I did well, but I'm looking to get a little bit better. It's your third season. But really, it's your second because you were injured in year one. How much different do you feel going into this year than you did a year ago? I feel a lot different. I feel a lot better. Um, You know the game moves a little bit slower, as they say. I think it just takes a lot of game reps to start to get used to it. Um, you know, playing in the NFL is a big challenge, So the more experience you have and more comfortable year a going out there. Uh, you know, the more successful likely going to have we're chatting with Jonah Williams. So in Frank Pollock was brought back as the offensive line coach in early January. Did you guys talk over the phone? Did you meet? How did you begin forming relationship? Yeah, I was back here forbidden the off season. You know, just getting my knee signed off on and checked out everything like that from from the end of the season. You know, so I was able to see coach and talking, get a feel for how he operates. And you know what is you know what his attitude is like, and you know, really appreciate him as a coach and have enjoyed, you know all the time we spent together so far. In addition to having a new position coach, you've got a 10 year vet on the opposite side of the offensive line and Riley Reef. Is that almost like having another coach. Hey, it is, you know Riley's Riley's played a lot of football and he knows what he's talking about. So it's good to hear that, you know you have the coach perspective and, you know, obviously Coach Pollock also played in the NFL for for a while, So you have that inside and then you have Rallies played so long and you know, I'm playing next to Q and Quentin and we have trade too, so play next to a lot of guys and eggs will play a lot of football, So I think we're definitely an experience, you know, this year. Riley is roughly the same size as you are. He's not one of these 67 £340 kind of guys does that make his information even more helpful? I think so. For sure. Um, you know, I think there's similarities in our games and You know, obviously, like you said, in the in terms of just pure size, and that everything we're pretty close, So I think that it adds an element. You know, we kind of the same toolbox so He says something works for him. Then it's likely to work for me. I'm interested in your intel on a guy on the opposite side of the ball. Trey Hendrickson, who came in as a free agent 13.5 sacks last year, with the Saints to tie for second best in the NFL. You've had to block him a lot in training camp. What stands out You know, he's a He's a great player, and I think the thing that stands out most is his speed is upfield. Speed is ability to get upfield and put pressure on the tackle to, you know, give depth so you can protect And also his motor. You know, he's a guy who's going to keep on trying move, swiping hands, and even if you beat him on the first thing, he's going to keep on trying. And you know, I don't know any snaps. He's played, but it felt like every snap. I was watching the preseason was getting pressure. So Um, you know, it's been good battling with him all camp and I think we've made each other better. The last time we saw you last year on the field, it did not look good. I think most of us assumed that you had a torn A C l or something of that magnitude. When you went down in the Miami game, two games after Joe Burrows injury did you fear the worse at that time? I did, Uh, you know, I felt the same thing that you guys saw. I felt somebody flying into my knee from the side. You know, felt some issues in my knees, So I was pretty pretty happy to hear that. You know, when the MRI results came back that it wasn't as serious as I thought, so it allowed me to Go in the off season rehab it and then for the vast majority of the offseason. I've been 100% training at full speed, and I think that that's been beneficial to mine. Uh, growth this year, so you open against the Vikings. You're going to be matched up against one of the NFL's premier pass rushers in Daniel Hunter he missed last year the neck injury, But before that, back to back seasons of 14.5 sacks. You study these guys? What stands out about him? I think he's really balanced Russia. That's the first thing I noticed, is he, You know, he has a little bit of everything, and he's good. Everything he does is not just the speed guys, not just the power guy. It's not just the technique. I kind of You know, combines all of that, and he's a versatile player. Um, you know, that's that's the NFL every single week pretty much for playing a premier pass rusher. And so that that's the challenge for this week is to is to handle him and, you know I'm I feel good about this online room and I feel good going into practice that we're.

"We're getting lots of professional opinions, and we're going to go to the phones a little bit later. Get your opinion on the question, Which is the question of the night for our guest. Right? Our guest is Joe Dannenmann. Fox 19 now Sports guy. Jody, What's going on tonight? What's up, Chief? How are you? I'm doing okay, man I'm doing okay. So just to let you know now I'm not. I'm not trying to You know, taint your thought process or have you lean in a certain direction? But we we had Paul Dougherty on first figuring that maybe you might crescendo a little upward in the optimism category. Maybe I don't know. We'll find out we shall see, because it's more thought. The question simply is this If not now, when, and that has to do with you see football. It has to do with the Reds in the hunt. It has to do with the optimism around the Bengals this Sunday and beyond. If not now, when. Man. That is an interesting question well framed. So let's take these one at a time and I'll start with the Bangles because you have about them less. I go into Sunday with more questions than I do answers for this football team, and I don't think that bodes well. For the upcoming season. Now I do think will be improved on what they were the last two years, which is six wins in the last two seasons, so I think they're going to be better. I just think the problem is they play in the division that is very talented. And loaded with good organizations. And so I think it's going to be an uphill battle all season long for the for the language to get out of the bottom of the sea north, but the Reds Now the Reds back to me is a coin flip of them making the playoffs. You say if not now, when I do wonder if better. Things are coming in the future, Although I know the big question hanging over this organization is the future of Nick Castellanos and the different teeth made this season. Obviously to this team has been massive. But I do think with the horses that are coming from Triple A in the form of Hunter Green, Nikola Dolo and even the young shortstop Ferrero, I think has a big future for the red, So I do think That one. I want to temper a little bit. If not now, when? Because even if they don't make it this year, even if they do make it, guys, we don't expect them to go very far. Right. Agree? Absolutely. Yep. Or the Giants. Either way, two teams that are better than them, But still, yeah, just getting the playoffs would would be a great boost. If not now, when applies most to me with the U. C football team. And you see athletic program. Obviously, the urgency of what we expect to hear. Tomorrow is big time with them. Getting into the big 12 would be just a great great moment for this athletic department. And this football team, especially because I think once you get to that kind of status as a conference, then you stop asking the questions about Luke Fickell leaving and I think whatever has to be done to keep him here. He's been that much of a difference maker for this for this program, and I think that's a big big indicator that he would probably state and see for a while. When they do get to the big 12 Joe Danamon from Fox 19. Sports is our guest, and I'm going to take you back. And I'm not going to argue with any of those three assessments, But I will ask you curiously, from a Bengal standpoint, if you had to give me perhaps The three questions. You mentioned questions, and I tend to agree with you and usually do when it comes to Bangles from the standpoint of more questions seemingly than answers. What do you think are kind of the key questions? Besides Joe Burrows health? I mean, obviously, Joe, that's the biggest one. You know what we look like. Can he stay healthy? Can they protect them? That's the one that everybody will be sitting on pins and needles. Every Sunday. What are some of the other questions that you think? Make this year? Maybe a little bit better, but still not that good. So the three questions that you asked. I think we can answer two of the three questions that are in my head, and I don't think there's anything that dangles could have done in the off season to answer. What is the third question and I'll start with that one. The question is, is Zach Taylor, head coach. Material in the NFL. It's he that kind of a caliber of coach. I don't think we can answer that. I don't think there's anything the Bangles could have done in the off season from roster. Um, you know standpoint. To make me think Jack Taylor could be the guy going forward. I don't know if he is, I don't know if he's set better to be an offensive coordinator or an assistant coach. I just don't know exact. Taylor. Is the guy going forward for this team as the head coach very well might be. I just don't know if we can answer that question in the off season. The other two questions I had in the off season. I still believe they remain unanswered. One is the defense any good? I have no idea. I just know this in the NFL. You win games by sacking the quarterback. This team lost Carl loss and they brought in. Trey Hendrickson, Quite a splash season last year, had a great season big number season, but does he have the pedigree? To do that repeatedly and earn the money. The bankers are going to be investing in him here in the next few years. I just don't know if the Bengals have the depth of that position if they have the tablet at that position. To be difference makers and be better because they're sack numbers were abysmal last season and a big reason their defense wasn't good. So that's the question I hope to have answered. Jack has his guys His coaches have their guys This is this is essentially the chef being able to buy the groceries and now it's time for him to make active a meal. I think 40 players that 75% have joined this team since. 2019 23 players in this roster have never played for the Bangles. So, um, this is a get to know your type of thing, And there's not a whole lot of time to to waste and getting to know everybody and getting on the same page. This team's gotta win a lot of areas of improvement. I mean, offensive line did a great job preseason for whatever that's worth. Did a great job of protecting the quarterback so far. Yeah, There's no question and now it has to play out and then they got a thin margin of error. They don't have a whole lot of experience as the backups right now on that line, so they can't get hurt. Especially early. They get some young guys who I think they're going to get better, But right now they're not going to be ready. So you've got to stay healthy. Clearly. Everybody knows they have to project Joe, and, uh, they could do that by being able to run the ball with Joe. Mix it as well. Yeah, I actually forgot that mixing As many games as he did last year. I knew he was out, but I didn't realize he was out as long as he was so, Yeah, it was the foot on the toe thing, and you know they made it a point, Brian Callahan, the offensive coordinator, has said for months now they want him to be in every down back. They want to be on the field On third down. He ran really well. What Frank Pollack was the offensive line coach a couple years ago led the league in rushing and he I mean, imagine we talked so much about burrow in about the wide receivers. Joe Mixon is a threat that teams have to worry about running the ball. It makes burrow into hide receivers even better. They just have to be able to run it. Um, biggest improvement of defense, you would say what? And you note that they had the legal low 17 sacks last year. That's beautiful. Yeah, it's staggering, like not only did they have a legal of 17. There were 18 teams that had twice as many sacks is the Bengals. I mean, that's how poor they were, and they were all the days a bit. Carl Lawson's gone. Geno Atkins is gone. They spent a lot of money on a parade agent named Trey Hendrickson Tray. Hendrick. Um, sex are tough in this day and age because quarterbacks get the ball out of their hands so quickly, But they have got to disrupt the guys and make quarterbacks uncomfortable this year. Because a couple years ago i thought they had the best secondary and football. At least the most underrated secondary and football and now like except for kevin buyer d- literally all these are gone. No more adoree jackson. They let him go No more malcolm butler. They let him go. Logan ryan had left last offseason and Kenny vaccaro his out too. So it's what they were doing. Last year didn't work. The haven't had a pass rush and they sort of said okay. Well we're going to basically hit the reset button on this defensive backfield and we are going to sign bud dupree to a large contract coming off the tornado. Yell and i really liked bud. Dupree as sort of a number to pass rusher. But i don't know if he is i don't know if he's a difference maker. I think i think in goggle. He's a difference maker. i think what even at this point is career is so a difference maker. i don't know of duprey is yeah. It's it's gonna be interesting. I mean this was a big off season for saks in context right and pressures in context like trey hendrickson cincinnati as well and you know why they did what they did there and i think that duprey you're right i mean is a good player. I think he can create havoc in the backfield. But you know how do you remove him from kind of that orchestra that he was playing in pittsburgh now. Are there teams that can replicate that pittsburgh defense better than others. Just by virtue of their schematic wisdom. The titans are one of those teams. I think mike vrabel and his staff or good enough to be able to kind of figure out some of the simulated pressure stuff to be able to incorporate a lot of that and make bud dupree the centerpiece of that. But you have enough to to really make it work to make it work in the way that you wanna make it work and i guess the argument is you have to at least start trending in that direction right. You gotta sign someone like duprey because you need somebody to create that pressure and so we'll see what happens but titans are interesting to me because you lose a lot of hits on the offensive side of the ball to you lose your offensive coordinator you know and you know at some point. You're factor back. Getting four hundred carries a season is going to need some assistance there too and so there there wasn't a lot of focus. You lost your number two wide receiver. He lost your top receiving tight end. And so it's like oh boy you know like what is the plan here in. Titan's got quietly kind pill for this offseason a little bit they did. Yeah corey davis out. Humphries go humphries obviously missed the second half last season with a concussion he was a big free signing couple years ago. John smith is out and as far as this defensive backfield now they they they also desmond king cyber-attacks in so they will him as well. He was sort of. "Be cool to see the Buccaneers out there to see if Tom Brady can do it. With another team. In his first year to go to another Super Bowl, and this is a team that has gotten hot. At the end of the season. This is a team that is has been moving and running on all cylinders. You know, we didn't We didn't need to see. Ah, New Orleans blow out. We didn't have to go back to the first game of the season. When you think about 16 plus games what happens in week? One ain't the same thing that that that happens in the playoffs. It's a different situation. It's a different vibe, and we saw the results. And luckily Bruce Arians, someone who early on in the season was quick to criticize Tom Brady. Not so much you can say right here because the whole team has gotten better this what Bruce Arians had to say about his Tampa Bay bucks. It's a different football team in that week trying to tell her by that nobody wants to believe it. But you know, this is what we're capable of playing defensively. We've had some rough spots at times, but we've got some really, really good times. And this is one of the best time. Yeah. Good times. Ah, certainly rolling as they are one victory away from a Super Bowl in a defense did the work. You know. Yesterday, Antonio Brown had a knee injury. Expected him to be someone who would would be, uh, kind of an X factor a deciding factor. They still have those large offensive weapons, But the defense is who and what? Showed up. For Jamie's Winston, and maybe he did learn something here with the Saints. But it's gonna be interesting to see how they fill out the rest of that roster. The Saints after being eliminated. We know where they now slot in the NFL draft. They will be going out there and selecting at 28th. Overall, I told you about their free agents on the defensive side of the ball, starting with Trey Hendrickson that you want. You want to sign or at least if you can't get him to a long term deal. You're probably gonna franchise tag him. But the days of looking at Drew Brees. Unfortunately, I think they should be done. I don't see any any use for the New Orleans Saints. Bring him back. I don't see any reason for him to come back and even more of Ah, diminished role. We've seen who he is. It's time for the Saints, so move on. If Drew Brees wants to go out and play another year. I don't think he's gonna be adding all that much to the team. I'm pretty sure they were. They were ton of instances over the past several months. Jamis, Winston said. Damn, I can I can do better than that. I can throw the ball further than that. Obviously, Jamie's Winston hasn't shown himself to have the same judgment. He's shown himself to be a little bit more reckless. Maybe that's changed. But for Drew Brees and the Saints that ever needs to come to a close. He has been amazing, bringing them a Super Bowl title in 2010 over the Colts. Coming over from the San Diego Chargers being the NFL comeback player of the year. Everything that Drew Brees is done in the community for New Orleans has done for the city. He has been an ambassador. For that city for a team that was largely ignored and called the paints. Before Drew Brees and Sean Payton showed up. So for Drew Brees. He means more to that city. He means more to the state of Louisiana than a lot of people who have passed through its borders. He is off full ambassador, not just someone who's a football player. And for that kudos to him. He should be lauded. He should be applauded. There's no doubt about it. But all good things eventually must come to an end. I think the next time you hear or see from Drew Brees. It's likely to be in the football booth and the Saints need to focus in on. How can we maintain our defense at the level that it's been with our free agents? And who do we plug in at quarterback next? Taysom Hill has his contract. They're not necessarily married or or locked into him, definitely not as a starter. Whether it's Jamis Winston or someone else. Drew Brees. Time is up. It's over. This was his last chance, and unfortunately, the Saints past few playoff experiences, you know they've been duds. They've been disappointments. You could blame Breeze. The only reason why I'm foot flapping on that game is it's a damn tough game to pick. Now, if we're being real by my record this year to come Look, I think I'm a gamer to above 500. As I have done better the last three weeks. In December and January, given most of December was cold. But in the final week of dissent of December Started to heat up and in January of the shop. So I think about this Look at all these matchups. Can I envision the Rams beat in the Packers? Can I envision it have conviction? No. Even with how much I like the rand's defense. Can I envision? The FC the Browns beating The cheese. I just did a segment on her about six minutes ago, with the Browns going up against the bills in a NFC Championship game, but that's not realistic. Even though the Chiefs have been sloppy for the second half of the season, have played a clean game. You have to give you a way that the Browns go in the game. And around the beginning of December, you hear the term? Well, they control their own destiny as to whether or not they could get into the playoffs. And now that the playoffs have started the teams that started this weekend on Friday night they actually did control their own destiny. It was all up to them as to whether or not they move forward, whether or not they get eliminated, and in today's game, you talked about that previous meeting. That the Saints won in overtime. I mean, it was a nail biter for both teams, and I would expect that there would be drama in this game, whether its first quarter drama, third quarter drama, two minute drama at the end of the Ballgame. There's going to be a lot of drama because there's so much on the line so many hopes and dreams. Couple of big injuries of note, knocking key players out on both sides. Roque Juan Smith on the defensive side for the Bears. He is out. He with his 139 tackles, had an elbow injury last week against the Packers. Darnell Mooney, wide receiver for the Bears, one of the bright young working wide receivers in the league. He is out, was also injured with an ankle injury against Green Bay and did not come back and one note and I think a big one for the saints Trey Hendrickson with a neck injury, he is out. His 13.5 sacks are out with him. So each team hit by the injury bug coming into this all important playoff game, I'm gonna pull another coach and another team into this discussion..

So not only is he back They're hoping that they're going to get may be the best version of Michael Thomas that they've done since week. There's about as healthy as they've been all year. Mike. It's amazing when you think that Freeze and comm ERA and Michael Thomas have only been on the field for 10 quarters throughout the entire season together the van in the field, and yet this team can still put up 30 plus points per game on average. Um, was that say about the coaching or the quarterback in particular who's had the better season? Sean Payton and Drew Brees. Well this season. I think you'd probably say Peyton and really, I think he's sort of cemented his legacy and the recent years in this kind of four year stretch have become A little more of a run heavy team. They're actually ran for more yards this year than they have since 1983 and and he's won. He's gotten 18 1 record now without breathing quarterback. I know it's square, but I look I grew up in the state of while I live in the city, Cleveland for seven years. I just I don't see it and what? I haven't seen it. Cleveland win it Pittsburgh in a long, long time, 17 straight losses against Pittsburgh by an average of about two touchdowns per game. I know you're gonna tell me this Brown's teams different well, they went to Pittsburgh earlier this year and lost by 31. That was with the fancy so I think he's really good coach and the reason I think it's a big losses. He's their primary play caller. I mean, we've seen Clemson after they went off the 1st 15 20 play script. They could make any adjustments without their play caller against the Buckeyes. I worry about that with Cleveland here, then they played one the weekend schedules in the NFL. They got outscored on the season despite going 11 5. I just didn't Pittsburgh's to play for me here. I just don't see the Browns having success. And finally the trend out there first time starting quarterbacks in the playoffs against quarterbacks that have playoff experience. 13 and 32 against the spread. That's not good for your board.
