A highlight from 666:FTXs Multi-Front Legal War and Indias Crypto Tug-of-War
"Rockstar Energy punched, bringing a bold and unapologetic flavor packed with energy through a blend of B vitamins, guarana extract, and 240 milligrams of caffeine to fuel what's next. Rockstar Energy drink. Good evening and welcome to the Crypto Overnighter. I'm Nick Ademus and I will be your host as we take a look at the latest cryptocurrency news and analysis. So sit back, relax, and let's get started. And remember none of this is financial advice. And it's 10 pm pacific on a Monday, September 11th, 2023. Welcome back to the Crypto Overnighter where we have no sponsors, no hidden agendas, and no BS. But we do have the news so let's talk about that. Tonight we're diving into FTX's legal labyrinth involving a staggering 86 million dollars. Then we're shifting gears to India, Coinbase's hasty emails, government policy, and the central bank's digital aspirations. We've also got a bitcoin user who made a half million dollar mistake, a Hong Kong -based project revolutionizing decentralized identities, and the social media platform that's proving the naysayers wrong. Buckle up. Failed cryptocurrency exchange FTX is embroiled in legal battles on multiple fronts. The company filed a lawsuit against Layer Zero Labs to recover 86 million dollars transferred just before declaring bankruptcy. Layer Zero Labs accused FTX of making unsubstantiated claims in the lawsuit. FTX's bankruptcy filings have also revealed substantial payments to celebrities. The list includes nearly 750 ,000 to Shaquille O 'Neal, about 308 ,000 to Naomi Osaka, almost 206 ,000 to Trevor Lawrence, and about 271 ,000 to David Ortiz. These celebrities are now subject to lawsuits by FTX creditors. Layer Zero allegedly exploited FTX's sister company Alameda Research by demanding immediate repayment of a 45 million dollar loan. In exchange, Alameda transferred its entire 4 .92 percent equity stake in Layer Zero. The deal was considered highly favorable for Layer Zero. FTX also seeks to cancel prior agreements and recover 21 .37 million dollars that Layer Zero allegedly withdrew illegally. The company is exploring options to claw back funds paid to celebrities and sports teams to settle its debts. Now from my point of view, FTX's legal entanglements are a glaring example of the risks and volatility in the crypto space. The company's aggressive marketing strategy involving high -profile celebrities backfired spectacularly. It's a warning for investors and a point of concern for regulators. Layer Zero's alleged exploitation of Alameda Research's financial distress raises ethical questions. It also highlights the lack of oversight and the need for stringent regulations in the crypto industry. FTX's attempt to recover assets and cancel prior agreements could set a precedent for how companies in financial distress handle their obligations. It's a complex web of legal and financial maneuvers that could have far -reaching consequences. The unfolding drama reminds us of the dangers and rapid expansion without adequate risk management. It's the lesson for other crypto companies and a wake -up call for the industry at large. Lawsuits and bankruptcy are one thing but what happens when a crypto exchange throws a curveball to a whole country? Before we unravel this don't forget to hit that subscribe button to stay updated. Coinbase recently sent emails to some of its Indian users stating it would discontinue services for them after September 25th. The email urged users to withdraw their funds from the platform. The email was not sent to all Indian users but only to those who were found to be in violation of Coinbase's updated standards. This led to confusion and panic among Indian traders who took to social media to express their concerns. Coinbase clarified that the email was part of a routine review and was sent to users who no longer met their updated standards. The exchange also stated that this move does not affect users access to Coinbase cloud services. Coinbase entered the Indian market last year but faced several challenges including regulatory issues and the suspension of UPI support on the platform. The company also stopped onboarding new users from India earlier this year. Coinbase's actions come at a time when India is hosting the G20 summit where global cryptocurrency regulation is being discussed. The Indian government is also evaluating recommendations for regulating crypto assets. Despite these developments Coinbase remains committed to the Indian market and continues to offer its wallet services. The timing of this event and the ongoing G20 summit in India cannot be ignored. Is Coinbase feeling the heat from global regulatory discussions or is this a strategic move to tighten its user base and comply with evolving regulations? Either way the incident has sown seeds of distrust. Coinbase's selective email to certain Indian users also raises questions about transparency. What are these updated standards and why were only specific users targeted? It's a murky situation. Moreover the Indian government's stance on cryptocurrency is still unclear adding another layer of complexity to Coinbase's operations in the country. With the G20 summit discussing global crypto regulations Coinbase's actions might be a preemptive measure to avoid future complications. While Coinbase remains operational in India the incident calls out the vulnerabilities and uncertainties that come with centralized systems. Coinbase's recent actions in India have clearly caused a stir highlighting the tensions between centralized crypto platforms and regulatory ambiguity. But as we pivot from this snapshot of crypto's current standing in India let's widen the lens. Now we were just talking about the G20. It's not just the exchanges that are at a crossroads here. The Indian government itself is on the brink of setting the course for crypto's future and their decisions won't just affect the subcontinent. They're positioned to influence the global crypto landscape via their presidency of the G20. So from the individual worries of Coinbase users to the collective anxiety of the global crypto community we see that the issues are deeply interconnected. Both are waiting for India's next move which could either enhance financial freedom or tighten the government's grip. So here's what's going on more broadly speaking. India's finance ministry is set to decide its stance on crypto in the coming months. The country has been under scrutiny for harsh crypto regulations including taxes and anti -money laundering rules. However there is a shift towards possibly framing its own legislation, a first since early 2022. India is also working on a five -point crypto legislative framework. This includes advanced KYC for crypto companies, real -time proof of reserve audits, a uniform taxation policy, and possible authorized dealer status for crypto platforms under the Reserve Bank of India's guidelines.
A highlight from Conor Picks A New Favorite Team
"I don't know if I like that. I I like as a coach like an outlier in appearance like a Like someone who's either very old Not in great shape Like looks battle -hardened. There's something to that for me because Well Vic Fangio is Mike McDaniel's defensive coordinator Now Vic Fangio is still the head coach of the Broncos we'd have and Vic and I are from Scranton That would have been a very well Vic is from Dunmore I'm from Scranton. Let me because he'll correct you when you say that but That would have been an obvious one, but you get rid of Vic Fangio you get rid of me as a franchise So but Vikings are good But again, it's like I like So what I like about them So the wholesome part like Kirk Cousins has got that covered but on top of that, right like I do think like the way they treated their plate like one thing that was very noticeable to me was the way they handled all their outgoing players this year and If you go back and you look like Dalvin cook Patrick Peterson Eric Kendricks All these got Adam feel and all these got Dalvin cook all these guys they offloaded None of them have anything bad to say about the Vikings because of the way they handle those guys on the way out And then what you have remaining? Is maybe the most exciting young player in the game and Justin Jefferson, right? Proximity, New Jersey, that's an easy flight. It's a Delta hub So you have like you can get there really really easily and probably like an hour and a half two hours I feel like the young core there is good. They're very Forward thinking with quasi Adolfo Mensa is their GM who's kind of like a good merger between analytics and scouting. I Think there's a lot there I mean I just think that and I don't think that they're at the level of like the Bears or the Giants where it's like Alright, like that's a hit. That's a team that like has Like it's hard to just join that established fan base You know what? I mean? Like I feel like they're like maybe a notch below that and they're Minnesota nice. They would let me in My problem is I feel like as my kids get older. I need the head coach to be Older than me because like I think Kevin O 'Connell and I are pretty close to the same age We're in the same NFL locker room together when I was a young beat reporter and he was I covered him to Quarterback. Yeah, it's so I think like I would imagine like maybe one day my kids being like Oh the head coach of the Vikings is 40. Why aren't you doing anything? Cool dad? You're you're 40 so that's just something that's kind of the back of my radar, but I do I I Do support moving the Vikings up? to to a hot team Potentially and I do like I like that They're a little earlier in the cycle because it would be a little strange to I think the Jaguars are a very appealing pick It would be strange to become a Jaguars fan and then for the rest of your life people say Oh, how'd you become a Jaguars fan? And you say well, it was Trevor Lawrence's third season They had already proven they could win a playoff game and I said now's a good time for me to hop on the Jacksonville bandwagon Jacksonville just feels like I don't know. It's like too obvious too obvious That's how I feel about Detroit too, which is in this category. We haven't even talked about. Yeah. Yeah No, I'm with you Detroit's too obvious and part of this is gonna be You know, I want a fan base that handles success. Well, I think on this list a lot of teams that got punished Are teams whose fans when they achieve sudden success? Just collectively become like the largest group of douchebags on the planet and is that how you feel about Eagles fans? People would describe Patriots What I like about Eagles fans, I will say this you're getting dangerously close to early Bill Simmons era Boston and A Boston Red Sox Boston Celtics where you're making it a lot about you and I think you are over rating The struggle that's what I would say and it's there's a very theatrical Element to all that we had to go through in the empty stadiums at the link and oh The fellowship what we called it up here was right before they like the championships started here They called it the fellowship of the miserable up here But it's theater, right? It's acting some of it is Yeah, I mean like the whole like going to your you know Great -grandfather's grave site the day after the Red Sox won the World Series. There was definitely some of that Okay, I can see that to one up that I will say the morning of the Super Bowl this past year I saw videos from Philly where people were at their grandparents grave sites tailgating And they had run like they were tailgating with their dead relatives I remember walking into the stadium in Arizona being sent these videos Wait a minute Can you imagine like driving by a cemetery and seeing like an RV parked in the middle of it and just like a half dozen people hanging out But that's also part of why I'm weary about Philly like there's always there's already this established fan Subculture and then to be able to fit in I would have to be so extra beyond what I am now And so I think that there's a little bit of pressure there to be there's a high barrier to entry to be a fanatical Eagles fan I think yeah, I also think Philly is a very strong 4 -4 kind of city and I know there are others on the list I'm not saying that's exclusive to Philly But I think it it is Particular there where it's like the diehard Eagles fans are tend to be also diehard Sixers Phillies fans It's not an easy city to sort of pick and choose one team a la carte and have other interests It feels like everyone's very much dialed into all of the teams I know there are other four for four cities people probably listening to the saying or cities like that, too But it feels it feels like some very passionate fans as I know and I think it would be a tough place to just sort Of hop in as just an Eagles fan it would it would anybody else have a candidate to bump up from maybe teams So we're moving the Vikings up right moving the Vikings up Okay, I'm gonna have to you know, the Kevin O 'Connell thing is a me issue.

"Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars will become the first NFL team to play two international games in the same season when they spend back to back weeks in London this year. The Jaguars will host the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium on October 1st and visit the Buffalo Bills at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on October 8th. The Jaguars were set to play two designated home games in London in 2020, but the pandemic canceled those plans. The NFL also announced dates for three other international games and released the opponents for a few other games, including the first Black Friday matchup. I'm geffen coolbaugh.

Some Jaguars Players 'Aren't Thrilled' With Urban Meyer, NFL Analyst Says
"How some of the players are sick of urban Meyer. We've already heard the stories about how urban Meyer thinks he's back at Ohio State. He thinks he's back at Florida. He's trying to remind the players. Hey, you need to hydrate. I don't know. Maybe he'll tell them, uh, you know, maybe wash your hands when you finish using the restroom. Maybe that's going to come next. Maybe he'll tell them Cover your mouth your nose when you sneeze. I don't know. We have people in 2021 who just think germs don't spread, but that's besides the point. The fact is, the Jaguars are trash. Hopefully, Trevor Lawrence can help dig them out before urban Meyer decides the bail. You
Trevor Lawrence Gets Nod as Jacksonville Jaguars' Starting QB for Week 1
"Three. Jacksonville Jaguars, finally announcing that number one overall pick Trevor Lawrence will get the start next week. Well, excuse me Get to start week one versus the Houston Texans. Jaguars coach Urban Meyer had repeatedly stated during training camp that Lawrence was in competition with former starter Gardner Minshew for the starting job. I'm Dan Schwartzman, that your

New York Knicks' Nerlens Noel Sues Rich Paul

Well left his agent to become a part of the clutch family if you will but after. He left clutch after he left for clutch. They basically didn't really help them get very much of a contract and he ended up losing. He passed on a four year. Seventy million dollar deal because rich paul. At i convinced him that he could get more and then basically didn't do didn't didn't get him much of anything and so. He is now suing rich. Paul for all of the losses with his money.

"trevor lawrence" Discussed on Skip and Shannon: Undisputed
"The other three were starters. He wasn't well protected because he got the you know what kicked out of the season games. Yup they hit him way more than he needed to be hit in a preseason game and then he took it upon himself because i think he just got frustrated after walk because he couldn't get the ball neons zone and to his credit on a third-down he took off. And just said. I think we have this play where he just took off the middle of the second quarter and said okay. I'll do it by myself. It was not smart. Yeah he can move a little bit for six five. And that's just that's a bad idea that had bad idea that was like the rg three play. Remember we're at cleveland. You've got hurt helicopter. Play the ravens. Who is loading nada. That's the kind of play you do not want subject yourself to in this league at that speed right even in a preseason game is just too dangerous he needed to worry about. Skip seventy seven coming falling on that shoulder. Everything's bad about that when it was happening. I was just cringing. Because i know how fragile quarterbacks can be they just don't carry the ball that much and they don't take that kind of punishment and he put himself in all kinds of dangerous. Spots there. Right had shoulder knee's been colorado skip. He gives that and gets out about all those guys. You know ruining. That's true. So at clemson trevor lawrence through ninety touchdowns to seventeen picks sensational yes. He was a great college football player on a great college football or at least a very good one. I don't know if we could go great but they were very good a loaded team. Yes and stars on the defense out of guilt. And now i look this team and this quarterback and say can he lift them into respectability. I'm i'm not sure can because now we come down to intangibles. What was the big controversy few months back ahead of the draft. There's a sports illustrated article by the game. Trevor lawrence said. I don't need football to feel worthy like football's not they be all in the end all in my life and he said i don't have this huge chip on my shoulder where i think everybody's out to get me and i'm trying to prove everybody wrong. He said i can't manufacture that because he came from some money and he was always the golden child. Fourteen to fifteen. Everybody knew he's going to be the first pick in the draft so it came pretty easily form. And i'm not saying he didn't have to work at it but tom brady was a six round. Pick as we all know. Tom brady is obsessed with winning. Football games at age. Forty four if i could just pour few ounces of tom brady and this kid. You'd have a world beater. But i'm not sure. His his motor runs that hot. Right he plays with the nonchalance that leaves me a little nonplussed. Where i i want to see a little more body language in the only flash of it was when he finally got frustrated and said okay. I'm going to do this by myself. If you guys can't do it i'll just do it myself. And it wasn't the smartest play. He looks poised enough. He looks like he belongs right out there. In to your point he did make that early. I throw where he if we see that. He rolled in the end zone. This is a very difficult throw four also took it right in the face that separate authority better than that to.
Lawrence, Minshew Still Battling to Be Jacksonville Jaguars' Starting QB
"You to believe that there is an open quarterback competition between his top draft pick Trevor Lawrence and Gardner Minshew. There are dumb ideas, and then there's that sure smells like some college Bs, doesn't it? The kind of thing that might fly in Gainesville but not Jacksonville. You try that in the NFL, and it just sounds and feels amateurish. Jim Rome,
2021 NBA Draft Preview With Mike Schmitz
"Really wanted to get answer is nice enough to fit us in mike schmitz who does nba draft analysis for us. Here at espn mike. Thanks for taking the time man. I know you're super busy. Yeah no problem. I actually in on my way to new york here for the draft so We're we're getting closer all right. Yeah no kidding. Perfect timing so we got you in route just in the next couple of days. I mean obviously every year is different. But how how much you think things will change in the first round between now and the actual draft. Yeah i think that teams for the most part you know. I've kind of their big boards set to some degree. But you know the biggest thing. I think that can change things as traits honestly And you know that's where from a betting perspective you know you're you're locked in on you know your your lock the draft or whatever it is your can't miss batman some team moves into the top ten and you know That kind of throws everything a for loop. So that's that's the only thing. I think That can really change things but you know other than that. I have a pretty good sense that you know the way we see things in the top ten or so Feels solid but again. It's it's always fluid. We've got more than forty eight hours to go here. Great so let's talk about just the first pick because you know the the betting odds are we saw a trevor lawrence at the jets. Pretty pretty extreme. But you know the pistons is whether it be doing their due diligence or whatnot. They've tried out a bunch of guys. How solid we with cunningham because there are reports of trade at least interest from other teams now not necessarily detroit but teams wanting to go up. Yeah i think pretty solid you know. I i think vegas has this one right You know i think cunningham will ultimately be the guy and you know even if it is like you know. Say detroit in this. I better say detroit. Is you know more interested in having moberly or jalen green and they wanna swap with houston houston to cunningham at number one i think ultimately cunningham is gonna go number one regardless. I feel like ninety nine percent. Pretty confident about that I think the league feels the same way but you know detroit doing their due diligence. I don't think it's more than that. We saw that basically a few
"trevor lawrence" Discussed on ESPN Chicago 1000 - WMVP
"He just had a few hot dogs, That's all. All right, so we'll start quickie. First started. Look at that. Now he's just rubbing it in. The first story comes from airport phrasing. Yeah. Ups, Uh, so New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson. I love this because we all know that Zack has been he's going to have all eyes on it. There's a lot of profile that comes with anybody. That's the Jets quarterback. But what do you do when there's also a large profile for your mom on social media? And this is interesting because apparently he's offered to pay his mom. To delete her Instagram, but she says she doesn't want to get into given She doesn't need his money. And frankly, at this point, she wants to do what she wants to do. So she posted a video to Social media on Friday to say that he had asked her in the past to take on her instagram after being the target of ridicule, So apparently she's not going to do it. She's going to stand up for what she wants to do on social media, and she's going to welcome all the hate. But Sarah, I'm just telling you right now, if anybody offered to pay me just get off social media, the answer is yes. You don't even have to offer that like Popsicles for a day and I might decide to do well. Here's the interesting thing about the story. When I first saw the headline, I'm thinking to myself. This is sweet, like he wants to protect his mom from what's going to be the inevitability, which is that so often, family members of professional athletes get roped into criticism of their kid. Husband, wife, whoever, right and unfairly so so I thought he was just protecting her from that. Then you dig a little deeper and it starts with. She got a lot of attention on draft night, right for being an attractive blonde lady. That wasn't his favorite. So then I'm like, okay, I still get that right. He's a kid. He doesn't want to see a bunch of weirdos on the Internet hitting on his mom. But then I dug a little deeper. I think part of the problem is she's going to bring a lot of criticism to him for some of her takes, including she went on a rant criticizing the mask policy at Disney World. Back in May, right? We're in the middle of a pandemic. So if you are especially a white woman, I don't believe her name is Karen. But that would make it even worse complaining about covid policies. It's probably not going to go over well for your very famous son. Right, And I think that's part of it is it's not just Mom. I don't want you to get your feeling sort of people to be mean to you. I also don't want you bringing unnecessary stress to. I'm already going to have it bad enough. I'm the quarterback of the Jets. Think that's such a huge part of this to Sarah, like one of the things we talk about all the time is that life is different when you're the quarterback in certain markets. Life's different when you're the quarterback of the Jets, and that's just going to be part of one and the mom the quarterback of the Jets, right. We know how often quarterbacks give us cliche answers. Unfortunately, a lot of what their family members say we'll get attributed to their opinion, even unfairly. So if they're not really saying much, this is part of what makes life really difficult for Zach Wilson. Right now I'm part of the Concern you have to have for everybody as he adjusts from being a BYU quarterback to the Jets quarterback much different level of eyeballs. All right, let's get you to the next story Quickies and this comes in the form of quarterbacks shipment. Trevor Lawrence signs his deal with the Jags. No surprise here, but 36.8 million bucks for the rookie quarterback under the NFL's working slotting system, so he gets 36.8 24.1 of which is a signing bonus. So that obviously includes 1/5 year option that's attract attached to all rookie contracts. One significant thing is he did get to know offset language, which means if they ever cut him, he would still continue to get all that money while he gets paid by somebody else. So this is, as you said, expected, right there was there's no real surprise to this except for maybe some of the details. What's interesting to me is how confident I am in Trevor Lawrence, the player Being able to translate his skills to the NFL. Perhaps more so than any recent quarterback going into the NFL like actually, not, perhaps with with certainty. I feel more confident than I have in any young quarterback. I'm just not sure about the team he's going to play for, and the head coach he's playing for. I need to see it. I need proof of concept because as great as he is Jury still out for me, You know, I'm not a big fan of urban Meyer and not just who is as a person and the issues of his past. But I want to see what his decision making is like at the professional level, and some of what he's already done with. That team has been real head scratching. If not downright insulting and offensive, and I want to see how that locker room gets along, and how he operates as a leader. Yes, I think that you know the Jags are going to ruin Trevor Lawrence, far before far sooner than Trevor Lawrence would ruin the jacks. I mean, that's just the way the organization has gone in the past. I would love to think that this turns around because Trevor is an easy kid to root for, and any time you have a team that's been bad for a long time. I love the thought that they're going to turn it around. But it's hard for me to put that together here without Lot of talent being put around him, so I don't think there's any easy situation on that. Let's get one more of these in quickies, and this comes in the form of hard knocks. Yes, it's still on. The Cowboys will be making their third appearance on hard knocks. They'll become the first NFL team to be featured for a third time. HBO and NFL films announced it on Friday. It's a five episode season that will debut on August 10th. So Sarah you You feeling this Cowboys on hard knocks yet again. Earlier in the show. We had someone try to guess at the content of our show based on you know how long will the sons take to win? How long the lightning and that No one cares about hard knocks. I still love hard knocks. I will admit that Once or twice in recent years. It's been a little less thrilling. I think some teams are a little bit more worried about the damage it does instead of before it feeling like a bit of an honor, in the sense of giving a lot of players, a higher profile, helping sell some jerseys and merch, Um Don't know why we're going Cowboys again. There is a lot of storyline there with Dak. Jerry Jones is always going to give you stuff. But I would like the rules to allow for more teams to be put into the pot to be selected because there's a lot of teams that have never done it. And I would like to see a lot more of the background and the facilities and the decision making and all those things for a different squad. Yeah, I think that's a really fair point to make. Because, you know, realistically, it does get redundant at times and the other side of it for me is, you know, knowing that last year, the year before the Raiders were on it, and I joked at the time, it was more soft knocks like it was the middle of the Antonio brown stuff, and they weren't giving you any of the actual information on it. So you know for me, if they're going to do it, then they need to do It the right way. So since 2014 franchises are not required to be included if they have a first year head coach if they made the playoffs in the last two seasons or if they have appeared in the show in the last. I believe three seasons before that, so there are all of these different variables in that can come into play here. But to me what the one that never makes sense as they take playoff teams out like I'd be interested to see a playoff team that's trying to figure out how to take the next step, right? All right. I guess you earned the ability to not be meddled with by being good. But in the meantime, that means you've always getting team that's putting themselves in that situation, so they make it so. So constrictive. I'm figuring out who they're going to put in every year. They they limit the pool. And I guess they know what we all know The Cowboys get ratings so hopefully people will watch it because Ultimately, that's got to feel like why there there were brought to you by my computer career training for a better life that get you caught up on some of the stories you need to know that aren't NBA related. But coming up all the questions around the.
QB Trevor Lawrence Signs $36.8 Million Rookie Contract With Jacksonville Jaguars
"Officially at Jacksonville, Jaguar, the top pick in this year's NFL draft, signing a $36.8 million contract today, including a $24.1 million signing bonus. The Clemson star expected to be the team starter this upcoming season. With Florida's news. I will all talk
Is Urban Meyer Taking a Gamble With Tebow?
"The biggest story in the nfl right now. is tim. Tebow and the jacksonville. Jaguars on friday afternoon. The jaguars sign boat to a one year. Nine hundred fifty thousand dollar minimum deal as a tight end. His jersey makes up the top five selling items on the nfl shop dot com store. Now figure that out and to me urban meyer's really running the risk of losing his locker room here because if you talk to people inside the league if you talk to executives and other coaches there's a lot of genuine skepticism over urban meyer becoming. Nfl head coach generally. And there's a sense that it's four more likely that he flames out and never wins a playoff game than it is that he winds up winning a super bowl when this experiment bringing in tim tebow not necessarily even as a quarterback you have trevor lawrence. They're bringing tim tebow into that locker room in two thousand and twenty one and having him sing for his supper is a tight end. There's a belief that meyer runs the chance inside the league of losing his locker room before this season even begins

"I mean. We didn't really have an answer to be honest with you. The challenges are is that he is big enough and he could be pure in that pocket he can do what the guys i've coached before can do. And then he can create so we played against johnny manziel in his last game at texas. Am go to arm. We all know the mobility was incredible. That you knew he wasn't going to just stay in the pocket in throw it the way. Trevor can throw trevor control outright song time he can throw digs on time. You know and that that's really to me. What you've got to see is an any certainly the body type you know to do that. And i think that's the unique that we didn't have an enhancer. I mean if you just try to keep him into pocket rush high. He's going to be successful in there. You can't even not rush him and try to jump in bat balls because he's a good side gap so we struggled again. Best thing you can do is limit the number of snaps they get. Somehow i thought the stuff about throwing on time was impressive. Buck as much as you know bigger and faster more athletic and all that stuff then you maybe think when you watch them on tape too when you see him in person i think the fact that he can throw routes on time. I think that point by coach cut cliff was a big one. Yeah that definitely was a big one The bigger thing was coach cliff pointing out that he just sent. Trevor lawrence was a great teammate So much of what we talk about with the quarterback position has to do with the physical ability. But it's a leadership position in being able to connect all types of players from different parts in different backgrounds and all those things and to support them and to get all of those guys moving in the right direction for an opposing coast to be able to see that identified that in trouble lawrence..

"At clemson. Amanda i won't go back to you on this one the freshman year and i i believe i don't know if the jerseys behind you are from that from that season or not but to to step on that stage and take over the position when he did and then to go on that run i mean. What was that like for you for you parents. I'll start with you manage just to experience. What a magical time. That was For him and your family yeah. It was really exciting. I mean i was so proud of him. And and just you know you went. Allen competed and he didn't let any kind of press or you know i guess You know what the press was anticipating or whatever. He didn't let that bother him he. He knew that he had a job to do when he went to clemson that he was going to compete for a starting job. That's what all the quarterbacks do are any position that you're assigned to or that you play. And he gave it his all and yeah the super proud of him. I know you have to be proud of. Not only what. He's become on the field but it seemed like over the last year so he's really grown into the leadership position in terms of the face. The clemson have you seen him. Grown from your own is as a parent terms of a leader and as a a role model for others. Well i mean one one thing that comes to mind straight away as though high state game when we were down and then we ended up coming back in and winning that game. I mean he didn't let anything get him down. He really picked up his team and was like is you know we can do this and really didn't give up and he's is always been persistent in that aspect and Yeah under super proud. And how he's brown as a later and that he can. You know be an example to his team a hard worker. Don't give up you realize along with that. But the platform has to impact people off the field and he embraces that and You know really wants to take advantage of that opportunity. So i think he's definitely around in that capacity. I think he will continue to do that while this is this is probably the most important question that i have you guys. You guys have been great with us today. I just. I got to know as somebody who's a little bit thin appear and as bucky who somebody who's more thin up there. Where does this beautiful flowing hair. Come from from trevor. Who did he get his hair. Not for me. He had a head full hair..

"How chance to visit with the head. Coach clemson dabbled swing. You know it's it's how you win. Do you win by sacrificing in compromising and and using young people are you win with love and compassion and development And and equip in young people With with a great experience in great tools for life. That's that's really. You know how we've gone about our business here and trevor is. Just come in here and step right into that You know role. He's the epitome of that. He he comes in you. Talk about developing yeah. He's a highly recruited guy. But he's got to come and he's gotta earn it. S the other thing. You gotta earn it here. We don't give anybody meaning. We're not entitling. Anybody you're empowered. you're not entitled. you gotta go earn it and trevor was that way and the recruiting process. Just a very humble kid committed december junior year. I mean at that point we had. We had the number one quarterback in the country committed to clemson as a senior senior high school. And we had like a top twenty quarterback with two quarterbacks in that senior class and he'd come and we had kelly brian zahra goo bird all these guys on the roster and then he commits december of his junior year. And to this day this is one of the things. I've told a lot of people body. You never ask me about another quarterback in the recruiting process. Not like not a single conversation. It was all about clemson. What are all about the people you know. That's all our offense you know. Style of play receivers style. He never asked me not one time. You're talking about a kid. It's not afraid to compete. And he came in. He committed december his junior year and it was over. Never another discussion about reverting each own about his business a high school junior high school senior. You know just being a kid enjoying his journey. And i can also say that about that guy. He has truly enjoyed his journey. He enjoyed being a freshman. He enjoyed camp enjoys spring practice. A watching him come in here and have this self awareness to him. He knows he's really talented but he's never satisfied and he knew he needed to get bigger stronger. Faster more knowledgeable all these things in watch him attack that process Were just great. Joy at his journey was really cool. And and you know prove that he could be he deserved to be. The guy had to go earn it and then he does that well. They must become a leader of the offense is less become a leader of the team. They have less become a leader of football. You know unless become a leader in your community and so it just watching him through that journey. It's been pretty special and do it with such grace and such humility and with the brightest of the brightest of the brightest lights in unbelievable scrutiny. In what these kids go through today is so different than when when we were coming up. I mean the scrutiny is unbelievable but there's never been a guy more prepared than trevor. He's been doing this the ninth grade when he won the job as a fourteen year old carville great program and he beat out a senior quarterback a really talented player. Who by the way was the starting tight in alabama this year. Okay but he had been a quarterback up until trevor made him a tiny in history..

"And the last game I'm really looking forward to. There's there's of course there are more but the one, the last one in my notes that I thought was worth pointing out. Is that In week 16, the Jaguars go to New York and played the Jets, Trevor Lawrence against Zach Wilson, the number one overall pick against the number two overall, pick near the end of the year. So as the year goes off teams, get better and better and quarterbacks grow, and teams come together. And I a lot of things are going to be ironed out by week sixteen for the Jaguars, and the Jets could be a really fun game. I, I think, man, Trevor Lawrence for Zach Wilson. Oh, my goodness is going to be fun. And I already know week, 16, assuming they're both healthy is going to be a really, really fun game. Now, another kind of note I have about the NFL schedule. The NFC East feels like it's totally up for grabs. The Cowboys have Dak Prescott back, he's healthy Washington, got a new quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, the Giants got better the added to be receivers the Eagles hired. New head coach, who seems like an idiot, but he might work, I love their quarterback, Jalen hurts. They also drafted a receiver Devante Smith, like I cannot wait by the way, I think I want to make this prediction now. It's really, really, really likely. We're going to look back at the Eagles. Hiring Nick Sirianni and go. Why did they not hire Eric? Be enemy with Eric be enemy. The Kansas City offensive coordinator was sitting there waiting to be a new head coach like gives great answers incredibly well-spoken. He's like the opposite of Nick Sirianni and if Nick Sirianni fails in Which it right now I'm definitely leaning towards he's not going to work. We're going to go why in the world did they not hire Eric the enemy? Like how are you going to tell me Nick Sirianni? This mumbling bumbling idiot when he talks and opens his mouth, you're telling me that dude had a better interview than Eric be enemy. Your light's not true. Like I, I cannot believe that in higher Eric Bana me off more as I'm talking and thinking about it, like it's very possible and very likely, we're going to be very critical in December and January of the Eagles for hiring the wrong head coach. Now I worry about Washington, Washington, the first nine games, for them are brutal, they play the Chargers, they play the Giants, the bills, the Falcons, the Saints, Kansas City, the Packers Broncos and Tampa Washington could start, I think a good start for Washington would be four and five which is not good. Maybe they go 3 and 6 to push start in the first nine games. I am not feeling good about Washington. Their schedules, really difficult. Miami schedule is also brutal the Dolphins. Have I fear? The Dolphins could start 3 and 7 or 9. Four and six out of the first ten games. Miami's got a really bad start. They play at the Patriots. I play the bills that play at Las Vegas against the Raiders, the Colts Carson, Wentz. Good defense took a at the Buccaneers who are Tom, Brady, and that gang of really good football players, they have the Jaguars, the Falcons, the bills, the Texans, and the Ravens, man. You know, Patriots bills off. Raiders will probably be better, the Colts, the Buccaneers the, the Falcons have some weapons, the bills are really good, the Ravens. Like, I don't see a lot of winnable games early for Miami, unless, unless Miami's really good, if Miami, I guess the question is, can Miami to their defense Jaylen waddle? Can they beat really, really good teams. I cannot wait to find out. I.

"I am worried expectations are like, jacked up to a million and I don't, it's not fair to compare Trevor Lawrence to Peyton Manning, you can if you want to. I think that's a bit, like, let the guide dog self and do his own thing and develop on his own time. Remember, Peyton Manning had an awful rookie year and then in your two got better. So my point is, please allow the Jaguars who are really bad organization time. Give them time to turn things around. If Trevor Lawrence goes out there, Week 1 and you know, somehow is awful, Don't Panic, it's okay. They're terrible organization, they're they're really bad football team with a lot of em. Players and a first-time NFL head coach. I'm just asking people if somehow Trevor is an amazing next year, take a deep breath. It's all good. Give this guy patience and time because the Jaguars have a whole lot to turn around. Let's shift gears. Now the biggest news of the week, kind of the, it feels a little, I gotta be honest. Man, it feels a little bit forced. I can't be the only person who goes off to schedule. Wow, it's not that, like, I've seen NFL Instagram and Twitter and all week people just pushing for this to be this big, massive event, ESPN little, I think like a three-hour event, the schedule reveal, and I just don't, People ask me to cover it and so I will, I did look at the schedule and take a bunch of notes but I I don't know. Maybe I'm getting old, maybe I for me. It's like, it's it's cool. There's a couple games in my schedule. I'm really excited to watch to watch. And then I'm looking forward to and I'll share those games. But I'm not the only one who feels a little bit blown out of proportion. Like people are trying a little bit too hard to make this a thing. I don't know maybe people just miss football, which I can't. Oh my gosh, I can't blame them at all. I saw a poster they were like a hundred and twenty days away from the season like yes we're come. We're so close and I can't wait for that. But.
Famed Hawaii Quarterback Colt Brennan Dead at Age 37
"Broke this week that took over Hawaii quarterback Colt, Brennan died. I was thirty-seven years old, it broke my heart, man. I loved Colt Brennan. When I was growing up, broke a ton of Records. He put Hawaii football on the map and found out man. It made me so upset. I actually made a mat in franchise mode. On Madden 11, I built around cold and I felt like I gave him the chance. He never really gotten the NFL to have a team believed in him and build around him was very long cathartic for
Why Would Jaguars Sign Tim Tebow?
"We are back final hour. It's been a fun show. We appreciate you being here. A lot of conversation with my Mike smith earlier. We also talked to dennis dodd. Another conversation predictably has been tim. Tebow we've given you a lot of reaction on that in the mike cannon bom from espn former gm jets dolphins. He's been here a couple of times. He had this to say earlier today. On keyshawn jay will and zubin about understanding the signing. I don't like it. I just don't see the upside in this move. He's thirty four years old. He would be a backup. I just don't know of thirty four year old players that can come in and be back place special teams and you're taking away a roster spot from hopefully a young developmental player that could grow with a young nucleus obviously led by trevor lawrence. And to me this is probably through the lens of urban. Meyer saying a decade. And a half ago tim tiba was the most competitive guy i've ever been around and he can help set the culture. If i was in that building what i would be pushing back saying coach. That may be true but in the nfl as you well know. Players needs to be led by players. They believed can take them to where they wanna go and as a backup tight end. I just don't think tim tebow would have that same credibility as he wants dave when he was the starting quarterback in florida. He also questioned whether tibo could even makes a team. I just don't see how he makes the team or urban and he's a really good coach he he's been historically great college but i just don't know he has to earn a spot and he's given a spot. That's gonna cause a big problem because players weren't have a chance to win and again to me just putting on my lens of a general manager and roster construction if you're not a starter in the nfl with only forty six players dressing you have to play special teams so my question. is tim. tibor thirty four years old going to cover cover kicks that remains to be seen. Now if he doesn't earn it does a totally different discussion. But i don't think you could sign him and say hey. He definitely has a spot on this team.

"Help your quarterback, an offensive line helps your quarterback. That's first of all having two running backs when you I don't love this pic, I really don't. I'm totally fine with Trevor Lawrence and etn playing together were having two running backs is fine. Although, they already had a Carlos Hyde do. I was excited to watch and now I don't know what to make of it, and then drafting running back in the first round, is not really a, it's not a popular thing to do it. Kind of does show to me. At Urban, Meyer hasn't been any NFL, very long. I, I don't know, I try to see chance good player, and maybe he's like a huge Superstar and then the pic is totally justified, but especially in the Jack already had running back James Robinson and you're drafting a guy in the first round, where you can get a running back in the second round is good. I just doesn't make any sense to me. I don't really, I almost never think it's a good idea to draft a running back in the first round off. And I just this picked a necessary and like not a great pic, even the only person feels that way, but I'm not sold that the Jaguars are going to do well in in the future with Urban Meyer with what they're doing, moving forward. And Logan. I I know you're huge Jaguar fan. I hope. I hope they're fantastic, but I'm just not, I'm not sold that it's going to work. Landon writes in land and says, let's say your high school quarterback from Cali, you got five college offers Arizona, state Florida, Oklahoma, Oregon and Georgia, which college are you going to sign to and why? I'm, I think it's a part of each one has got good weather and Oregon's got great. Jerseys Georgia is a team that has great players and never has a quarter of that kind of like Wisconsin. So if you want to be a star, go to Georgia like they need quarterbacks I don't have one, that's not a bad idea, but I think the two teams I would really have a hard time choosing between would be Oklahoma or Arizona State Oklahoma, it's a team that usually has a quarterback and if you're not a Five Star Quarterback have a hard time getting on the field but you're going to get great coaching and you might get a shot and I to get great coaching and be ready for when you get your moment. That's, that's a great life and that's a good way to live your life and go get what you want and I man I think to go home. . Oklahoma, that's a great opportunity. I think the team I would choose though, if I had to pick one team of the five you listed, I'd probably go to Arizona State. I love Herm Edwards. I love what they're doing at Arizona State. They're building a great program over there really, focus office building NFL players. They're trying to they're trying to build a team like Nick Saban, which I like, they're really focused there NFL Centric. They don't care about anything really other than getting you to the NFL. And I love Herm Edwards over there doing a life. I think Arizona. State is my there the program on the rise in the Pac-12. And I'm really excited to see what they can continue to do with Herm Edwards and they're focused on the NFL in the Pac-12. Braden rights. Any says, hey Zach been a while since I submitted a question. "They got a guy who can be there next guy. And I really think they're done with Kirk Cousins, pretty clearly based on their actions, what we're hearing. And so Kirk is the guy for now. He's going to get snapped starting week, one of training camp but after that, nothing is guaranteed. And a competition is on in Minnesota. I I just I cannot wait to watch this go down. I really am confident. Kellen Mond is going to become the guy in Minnesota. I think, Minnesota got a steal, a franchise quarterback in the third round and I I'm not kidding about the wage. Look at a social media, Google, listen to the way he carries himself the way he talks. I think of all the quarterbacks on 2021 NFL draft Kellen, Mond carries himself, most like a president or CEO or bought a franchise quarterback know knock on Trevor Lawrence or Zach Wilson or Justin Fields but go watch the way that Kellan montauk's. That's a dude Who's Got Confidence and Swagger. He's also self-aware. That's a great moment where he says, you know, I'm not a finished product which is very healthy thing to say. He knows he's got work to do and things he can improve on. So I just I love this kid. I think he's really awesome and I I really truly believe. I mean he's hungry ready to fight and the film backs, don't watch this film. Like I get go watch the LSU game is bad. He was outmatched against a really good defense. I got no, no shame in saying you had a bad game against LSU. Other than that, I will power off the table for this guy. Had a really good season last year. He's got a lot of mental qualities. A lot of NFL trades. Good throws. I am telling you go watch if you're bored. Go look up Kellen Mond games on YouTube. You can watch the guy play dead. He's awesome and I really think he's a franchise quarterback. Now there's one other thing, there's a connection between Clint Kubiak the Vikings offensive coordinator and text in that took first job. He used to work at Texas A&M so Clint Kubiak is a lot closer to Kellen Mond in that situation when he was dealing with in college. I mean, situation meeting. He saw how good guy was? He watched him play? I think a little bit more. He knows people in.

"I just, I am excited to watch the future of the Baltimore Ravens, and I think that is a great move to support their Young quarterback dead. Lamar Jackson, guys, that's all I have, man. I love you. I appreciate you. I really enjoyed the first round of the NFL draft. I I know I I made some strong statements about Trevor Lawrence and that's what I guess that's why people listen but I if I'm wrong will own it. But I have to share my concerns cuz otherwise I'm going to look back and go. I should have voiced my concern years ago. Now Aaron Rodgers is a month, a bad leader and I'm just tired of no one talking about it. I'm going to call like it is and I think his days in Green Bay are numbered and I think the fact that I think it's good for Green Bay for them to get a new quarterback they have Jordan love. They also if they don't like George love can make a move and get another quarterback if they want. So I train based in a good position they're going to lose a lot of money, probably be getting rid of Aaron Rodgers but as a result they're going to have a burden lifted off their team, a leader who is bringing them down and dividing them. So I'm excited for the Packers moving forward. So guys still have I love you, I appreciate Hope you have a great day and I'll see you. I'm going to wait, you know, watch the draft today, see what happens. We will see what happens in day three, then I'll kind of recap the draft after it's over. I think the only thing I'm really, really excited to see what happens. Forward is Frank. Where does Kellen Mond go? The Texas A&M quarterback. He's a guy who Kellen Mond is a franchise quarterback. I'm telling you, I will pound the table for this guy. He is a guy wage. Really, really good. At if a habit, I think in many ways was better on film than Trevor Lawrence. Even, I don't understand why nobody appears to share that with me. Maybe I'm insane. However, I did look it off Chris Simms who is like batting a thousand also agrees me. So I I finally I was like what are other people saying like killumantii? My crazy know, I'm not acting crazy. There are other people to believe in killing mod. Why doesn't the NFL? I don't know, but I I really hope for the Pittsburgh Steelers draft, killing on the quarterback, had a Texas A&M. That would be that find their franchise quarterback. Could be awesome. Keeper, I had cut off. And we'll see where he goes. I can't wait to see what happens and I love you. I appreciate you but I'm bum bam, we are done..

"Number 10 are all the eagles moved up and they drafted wide receiver Devante Smith, awesome movie. I think I could not think of a better fit for Devante Smith than Philadelphia working with Jalen hurts, the quarterback but former Alabama quarterback actually played together Alabama and the the fit between Jalen hurts and Devonta. Smith is awesome. There two guys who work like dogs and it just wanna go to work and prepare and work hard and I think I'm really excited to watch. Hopefully the eagles with Jalen hurts and not a Smith, you know, transform that culture and that locker room and the Eagles doing a wide receiver, Jalen reagor already. So I, I'm really excited to watch this Eagles offense. I don't know about their coach teams like a bit of a doofus, but, you know, Nick Sirianni had a horrible, horrible, first press conference but I really, I'm very, very compelled. I think Jalen hurts is awesome and they got a player who can support the Young quarterback and I I'm excited to watch what goes down. In Philadelphia. Now number 11 overall the Bears the Bears moved up and drafted a quarterback number eleven overall, Justin Fields a quarterback out of Ohio State. Yes, yes, yes. Yes, I am so, so happy about this, like, hallelujah, it's great pic. I think also a good fit for them man. Justin is incredibly talented. He's a guy who's very raw. I think he's got some habits of stuff. He's got to work out but the good news is the Bears already. Have a quarterback Andy Dalton who can be there, Week, 1, Starter, and can play and tell. Justin Fields is ready. So there's no hurry. He can sit and prepare until he's ready to go. And I look people hate on the Bears coach. Matt Nagy all the time. I actually happen to like, Matt Nagy, when Matt Nagy was coaching for the Bears and he had Mitchell trubisky as his quarterback, the amount of time. Watch Matt Nagy, make a great play, call find a good matchup, have somebody open downfield and they're stupid quarterback. We just look at it and not throw the football or make a terrible throw and you're like, all right, as a coach, all you can Is put your players in a position to be successful if they don't pull the trigger, if they don't complete passes, like that's not really on you. You made a great play. Call your stupid quarterback is awful. So I I I'm getting tired of I really, really did not enjoy watching Mitchell trubisky play in Chicago. I think look, I like the Bears coach, Matt, Nagy. I think he can coach. I think the problem was Mitchell trubisky. We'll find out. But I am very, very optimistic about Justin fields and his future in Chicago and the Bears, Justin feels could be the best Bears quarterback to ever had. They've really don't have a history of good quarterbacks and long ago made a move..

"Then I've no doubt Aaron watched the way that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have supported their veteran Quarterback. Tom Brady getting a players, getting them help going to win a Superbowl and I bet he watches that and feels jealous. I know I would An errand must think, man, I'm getting older. I don't have any time to mess around. I want to go somewhere where I like the people and I feel supported and I, I totally understand how Aaron would feel that way in real life. You would feel that way and I think it's Justified However, I don't think Aaron handled the Betrayal the right way I do. He felt betrayed and that's fine but you don't get to act like a petulant little child and I think Aaron was passive aggressive and spiteful. That's how we handled this occasion. So the way I would explain in case, you don't understand how Aaron Rodgers did was wildly inappropriate. I'm engaged. Let's imagine that my fiance lives cheated on me, Imagine I found out. Hey she cheated on me, but I kept it very, very quiet. I didn't like it, I felt betrayed but hey I'm going to say nothing. I'll be very, very quiet publicly. I'm just going to sit on it and wait a year off and a year later on her wedding day. The morning of our wedding. Imagine I start telling the world she cheated on me, she's office or tweeting it out, putting it all over social media, blasting out the world trying to ruin this person's life. I don't care that the dress is already paid for. I'm going to get revenge and make her feel miserable. I want to make you feel awful at the worst possible moment. It's an act of Revenge and and in a wedding scenario, I don't think it's appropriate to try to go get revenge like that and you might be missed, you know, angry you might have very Justified reasons for feeling what you do, but save it and sit quietly not sending publicly, wait till the worst possible moment to go after somebody that's kind of psychotic..
JPMorgan's Bitcoin Journey
"What's going on guys. It is monday april twenty six and today we're talking about j. p. morgan's bitcoin journey from worse than tulips to not my cup of tea to a new client product first. Let's do the brief. I on the brief today. Sports in crypto are definitely coming together in this cycle a couple of years ago. Nfl offensive tackle russell. Kun made a now famous declaration. Pay me in bitcoin. He currently takes half of his thirteen million dollar salary and btc and half in fiat. Kansas city chiefs. Tight end sean. Culkin is taking it to the next level. And we'll be converting the entirety of his twenty twenty one base salary. Nine hundred and twenty thousand dollars into btc. Culkin is going to convert his fiat to bitcoin. Salary conversion service. This is the same service that russell uses and it means that the paychecks are automatically converted which detaches them from market movements and allows coke in his own words to stay focused on the game for their part. The kansas city chiefs are aware but their contract is still denominated in. Us dollars about the deal. Culkin said quote for me it makes sense to get paid in the hardest form of currency. And it's something that's resistant. Inflationary pressures that. I think is very relevant in this current economic environment. That wasn't the only. Nfl crypto news today as the presumptive number one draft pick from later this week. Trevor lawrence announced a sponsorship deal with block folio the bonus of which will be paid entirely incredible out clearly. There is a mainstreaming momentum. Going on all right next up on the brief w is going on in turkey. I've been keeping you posted on everything happening in turkey but it's just gotten crazier on april sixteenth. The central bank announced that crypto would be banned as a means of payment. Effective april thirtieth. Two days later turkish exchange codex went off line on april eighteenth. The ceo of that company has gone missing and there are claims of massive fraud. Sixty two people with ties to the platform have been detained now for people have been detained as part of an investigation into verbal coin. Which is another turkish exchange. But none of this has stopped. Turkish crypto usage. In fact it's gone up sharply.
Final 2021 NFL Draft Quarterback Rankings: Trevor Lawrence and Then What?
"So guys let's start off with the quarterbacks as this is probably the least eventful group especially because we just let mark handle this position group. Because that is his forte his speciality. We don't even really need to go through the ordering or anything specific with this one as we're going to do it the other position groups but the thing that's worth noting is it. Mark was highly reluctant to really go past mack jones and then after thinking it over he threw in kellyn mind. Davis mills kyle. Trask jamie newman. And that was pretty much it so i think we can all agree here that the quarterback class in in this year's nfl draft isn't exactly very good on the back end. There's a lot of really good talent at the top but as we start to push towards the second and third round like we don't even have a third rounder in this group. There's not really a lot of good options now. It doesn't really tier that way. Joe obviously you have the tran said quote unquote time trevor. Lawrence. and then. There's a lot of debate on who that actual second quarterback would be adjusted sales from ohio. State zack wilson from byu. Mac from alabama. It seems like the jets. Presume that zack wilson from byu. And i mean. There's a lot of rumors that three the san francisco forty niners are really all in on mac jones but we'll find that out next thursday. It's gonna be interesting. I mean outside of the top five quarterbacks in legit all five of them could go for the giants would be ideal for the new york giants. That would be absolutely but outside of those five. It's it's kind of a crap shoot between callum on. I'll trask davis mills. Yeah i actually wasn't surprised to of see the look of pain almost on mark's face when he had to we almost twisted his arm into throwing out his like second and fourth round quarterbacks. This is a very top heavy quarterback draft class and part of that could just be the position. Where if you've got a quarterback who is able to be accommodated starter. He's probably going to be a first rounder and probably a high first

"Yeah we we think about him and context of kind of the draft grades. If given out andrew luck his only quarterback. I've given a higher grade to going back to three and for context. I would say. I had just a little bit higher grade on myles garrett so miles gird musician we say probably the best player his position the nfl. I have a little bit lower grade on trevor lawrence than myles garrett. But he's in that conversation which is a pretty select group is easy to put big raise on players that not only were you see the talent on film but when you dig into the background. It appears that they are very very committed to be the best that they can be. And i think with trevor all signs point to this guy be an outstanding pro player. Now sometimes we can never guarantee that it's going to work out like that but you get the sense that he is going to do everything within his power to make sure that he performs at a high level and that he's worn to bring his teammates with them. I'm willing to bank on a guy like that. I'm willing to grow the diced at a guy like that figures it out. Yeah when you get a elite traits and elite intangibles. That's when you get conviction on players you know that's when you feel confident and comfortable pushing your chips in. And he has that so he's got everything you want from skillset standpoint and then you add all the off the field stuff that checks out so Yeah to me. He's pretty easy evaluation. And i think it's like that for most of the league And i'm excited. I cannot wait to see him get on. Nfl field and see what he can do. You know you'll have tremendous success. It may not happen immediately But i think when supported in the right environment this guy is going to be a star at the next level. Everything that he's done to this point suggests that he'll be a superstar can imagine a changing right now. No i'm with you. I hope you guys have enjoyed this. It's been great to do a deep dive on trevor lawrence for this. Move the sticks. Three sixty episode. We've got a couple more you can check out They're coming so they're on the way the lookout for those as we As we celebrate some of the best players and this year's draft class this has been the move the sticks three sixty episode trevor lawrence. "And you had a chance to visit with our buddy trent dilfer. Obviously this is a fun time for us. Because i feel like we get a chance to see these young quarterbacks grow up in front of our eyes. And so what i would like to do is go back to twenty seventeen to the top guys that came through the process process. Trevor lawrence justin feels. Let's story trevor lawrence when you first laid eyes on trevor lawrence. What did you think he was a sophomore or freshman highschool care member. And i said i'll be here was a kid that already was mature beyond his years obviously was a great athlete but was also pretty clean. You've been coached very well. In georgia by joey king had developed well had played a lot of seven on seven and already had played a lot of football level so he looked like a man even when he was fifteen sixteen years old and is he went through the process. He only grew bigger and stronger. More powerful than than honing his craft. And but the thing. I was the story about trevor. Isn't the physical stuff. It's the mental stuff. Is the competitive stuff i i remember at the opening of the year he was there. He was a sponge with. Craig nall one of our coaches who played seven years in the. Nfl was bugging him late at night going into his room after hours and asked him to teach more ball is a kid that loves football. He loves to learn. He has zero entitlement to him. He has no ego as team. Above self guy so he checks every single boxer is to check as a prospect. He was checking back near seventeen years. Old i mean. I remember seeing watching them at the opening scene. This guy could go to an nfl training camp right now and throw one one throw routes on air and look like an nfl quarterback. You know it's funny that you talk about that. I just think that remember getting tough for him. A little bit at at the opening in the finals. What did you discover and watching him. Go through some adversity as a young person. What's the biggest thing i look for. Be quite honest with you. Ally base a lot of my evaluations respond to setbacks We look at it in game with an acronym pace plays after critical flares Study that really hard and in that environment a camp environment or high school football game environment of practice environment off the field. A guy can be a knucklehead off-the-field and housing respond to that after the fact. So i think it's i think that that evaluation has a lot to do with their long term success. Because you're gonna have a lot of setbacks. you're going to have a lot of adversity. It's not what happened to you. It's how you respond to it and then trevor's a guy bit whether it was the old venetian whether it was not winning the final game of his high school career. Whether it was a setback at clemson he's always been a guy that bounces back. Better the next opportunity and that's really what you're looking for him and tom. Brady's a lot of interceptions he's lost. A lot of games is a lot of stinkers bad series..

"It's been pretty special and do it with such grace and such humility and with the brightest of the brightest of the brightest lights in unbelievable scrutiny. In what these kids go through today is so different than when we were coming up in. The scrutiny is unbelievable. But there's never been a guy more prepared trevor. He's been dealing with this as the ninth grade when he won. The job is a fourteen year old at carville chagrined program and he beat out a senior quarterback a really talented player. Who by the way was the starting tight end in alabama this year. Okay but he had been a quarterback up until trevor made him a tiny in history. He drafted this year as well back. He was at his wedding but just the expectations the scrutiny social media the then you get into the several sevens the elite eleven's. You're supposed to win every week and all that and then you come to clemson. You're supposed to win. The job is supposed to go to a national championship. You're supposed to do this this this and you know supposed to be the number one east been dealing with this stuff forever. But guess what that's his nor that's that's what he's used to. That's normal to him But the beautiful thing about him is. He's not he's not driven by that stuff. He is a very s. Why fit our program very well because he's a very inside out person. He's he's strong in his fate. Incredibly strong in his faith He's driven by that. He's grounded by that man that has served him well and will continue to serve him. Well you know coach. What kind of special quality does trevor lawrence have when it comes to that ability to raise the level of his game his teammates. You watch steph curry. Shoot the ball. Is you just go. Wow by a kiss his just just to sit there and watch this guy. Shoot a basketball. Well that's how you feel when you watch. Trevor throw football when you get to see him live and you get to see him move. You just go. Wow i mean it's just it's just different. He's a he's a face of a franchise. I think trevor can be an international superstar. Football players at become international superstars Adding part of the part of that is just you know we all wear helmets and uniforms in you know you kinda get identified by that and then you take helmets often. You know you become a normal person. Sometimes you blend in. Trevor doesn't blend in In any regard..
Trevor Lawrence Reaffirms His Dedication to Football
"Controversy that broke out this week. I mean, the kind of stuff that when you really think about it could affect opinions. Apparently, Trevor Laurence doesn't have it ship on his shoulder. Now, um, let's think about the absurdity of this for just a moment, Miss all came from a Sports Illustrated article. In which basically I guess if you really wanted to read into it, which A lot of you sure did. Kind of thought that this questioned the overall passion. For Trevor, Laurence and football and I quote It's not like I need this for my life to be okay. I want to do it because I want to be the best I can be. I want to maximize my potential. Who wouldn't want to You kind of wasted if you know. He added. Whenever asked about Maintaining a healthy attitude without finding extra motivation in every actual or perceived slider. Disrespect. Dr Lawrence said. Hard to explain that because I want people to know that I'm a passionate guy and I'm passionate about what I do, and it's really important to me. But Don't have this huge chip on my shoulder. Don't have this huge and ship that everyone's out to get me and I'm not trying to prove everybody wrong. I just don't have that I can't manufacture that. I don't want to. I think that's unhealthy. To a certain extent. Just always thinking that you've got to prove somebody wrong. You've got to doom or you've got to be better. By the way, when I first read that I kind of thought that's a shot of Baker Mayfield. I'm just being honest. That's the first thing that came to mind because what is my man? What a six always have in Cleveland. He got chip on his shoulder. And it might even be manufactured, but he is always He is always going to play up the fact that he's being disrespected

"Bad bad bad. You know the thing about thinking about steph curry is what makes it so difficult to rank ms if you take every great player every single grape quit player in nba history. And say we're going to have a was set a fantasy draft right and we're gonna pick the players. I don't know if he'd go top twenty five and people say wow you really hate on him because to your point if you're building a team and you don't you don't know if you're gonna have a klay thompson you're going to have other.
