"You had everything. I didn't have any resources that you could tap into, but what I did have was ambition, and I had some extra time that I was willing to give. And that was my value add. And so I use that as an example because I tell people all the time, you don't have to now it's way easy for me to add value to people because I have a ton of connections and make better money. And I have advice and different things like that and more experience to share with people. It's way easier for me to add value. But back then, I didn't really know what to do, but I found something that I could do. And I executed that. So you have to lead with value. And then fire nation, that even led to me than just saying, Travis, you crushed it at the podcast movement booth. How about you run my thrive booth, which ended up being like the best position booth of the whole event, and then here he was with the entrepreneurs on fire brand right there, getting some great conversations with people and having awesome interactions. And again, just doing me a solid so that I'm introducing him to people at this event as this protege that's up and coming, et cetera, et cetera. And those things really matter. So we have four more things. Let's start burning through Travis. Yeah, let's go for it. So I'm going to give them all and then we'll go into each one of them just so make sure everybody gets everything. So number one is lead with value number two, give information. Number three, a meaningful request, number
Dana Goldberg and Stephanie Are Giddy Over This Week's Trump Raid
"Know what to say about how good this week has been and it's only Thursday still. I mean, it has been blissful. A G and I were talking about it on the podcast yesterday. She's just, you know, Trump's walking around going, I'm innocent, but which one of you has the wire? And then I said, but which one of you is bugged? Yes. Yes, Travis. Oh, we could say something on the safe. Mick Mulvaney was on scene, and this morning. He said that only 6 to 8 people know about that safe and Mar-a-Lago. Oh. Who could it be? Oh my God. It's like a game of clue. It's just getting. It's like mystery date, but better. Now he's going to be sad he wasn't there, Dana, 'cause the Trump lawyer said she saw ten to 15 FBI vehicles, including a rider truck. You know how he loves to pretend to drive the trucks. And drugs are a big trick. Do we have him doing it? I love big drops, Hong Kong. Doesn't he doesn't he always pretend? For photo ops to ride the stop reaching for the wheels, sir, you need to stop reaching for the wheel. Okay, she spoke to Trump while the raid was underway, and he expressed shock about the FBI search. This is massive job done right. Has required more than 1500 pieces of heavy equipment, one of the largest cranes anywhere in the world and look forward to seeing it. I love cranes. I love trucks of all. Not the rider trucks at the FBI. I took your illegal away and yes, this is but you know, the fact that he expressed shocking that this is what Mary Trump said yesterday, I think, is that this is the first time his life he's been without protection of the office of the presidency of the banks of his father. I mean, he's shocked because why wouldn't he be? He's gotten away with everything his entire life. But she's also said and we need to follow it. He's that list of inventory that he said he has. They're going to say they planted something. They were already starting to say that. That's what he's alluding to, and all of these will no one was there. The lawyers weren't there. The FBI agents had full reign. It's coming. So we all need to be prepared that it's coming. Yeah, I would say I was quoting Rachel Bennett offer earlier said, I think what we find at the end of the day is going to make our jaws drop as much as nothing you think nothing would surprise you about Donald Trump. What would be worth hiding and going to prison for for ten months? Jim Jordan seems to think it's golf balls. That's what they took boxes of golf balls and a raincoat. I'm like, he doesn't have a raincoat. He doesn't know how to use a rain umbrellas. So I'm sure that's not what's in the boxes, Jim.

"Like people want answers, I don't know that they exist for me in this moment. I think I can really relate to that in the sense that I had a version of that, which is that I think that I was way more gender non conforming in all of that stuff before, but actually found myself a route in to be accepted by identifying as a gay man and that kind of got me through the door and then now I think if I was if this was all happening 20 years ago, I think I would be such a different person and that when you talk about mourning I don't know, I think it's like I found refuge in like I could make myself look like an acceptable white gay man. And then no one would throw things at me. And you feel you feel guilt for that. Yeah. And this is it. I'm so glad you mentioned this because I actually hope that that's one of the main things I hope from someone gets from the book is that it's in all of our best interests so this out because we're all we're all living not our full possibility of our life because of the gender binary. We all have other versions of ourselves that could have existed. If we weren't making sacrifices, you know. Yeah, and you know, I think you say in the book, like nobody, something like nobody does something unless it's not these words. That'll just have to read it, won't they? They'll have to read it in fact. Well, exactly. What a fascinating chat what a fascinating person Travis is, and what good fun. Yeah, let us know what you thought of that. Much to chew over

"What's new in your world? This is a cultural club bonus because we're talking to none other than Travis Alabama. The activist author writer extraordinaire, who has been on the podcast before, they came on when me and Allen. We were talking about a lot of their work, performance are brilliant stuff, and they've written a book. None of the above reflections on life beyond the binary. And Travis says, you know, when you are someone that falls outside of categories in so many ways, a lot of things are said to you, and Travis analyzes the 7 phrases people have directed at them about their gender identity. Over the years and kind of deconstructs them like why do we say these things? Why do we ask people questions like when did you know? And through these kind of 7 phrases which include some of their most transformative experiences is a black mixed race non binary person. Travis kind of turns a mirror back on society, giving us a reasoned question the very framework in which we live and the way the ways we treat each other, you know. And it's yeah, it's a brilliant book and so thrilled to see that it's already getting a lot of heat. So if you haven't got it, you gotta go get it, people. So that's today's episode talking to the wonderful Travis. So without further ado, let's catch up with Travis about all things to do with the trans experience non binary experience to gender nonconforming experience. And more, you know, that is what today's
Men face sentencing for hate crimes in Ahmaud Arbery's death
"Three white men who chased and killed a black man running in a Georgia neighborhood are scheduled to appear in federal court today to be sentenced for hate crimes The three men already have been sentenced by the state of Georgia to life sentences for the February 2020 shooting of 25 year old ahmaud Arbery The first to appear for a sentencing hearing today is Travis mcmichael who blasted Arbery with a shotgun after mcmichael his father and a neighbor chased Arbery down The three men faced possible federal life sentences after a jury convicted them in February of violating Arbery civil rights and targeting him because of his race the father and son have asked the judge to send them to a federal present saying they won't be safe in the Georgia prison system I'm Donna warder
Malcolm Nance: People Are Planning a Civil War
"I don't know if you heard that. What's his name? Am I saying this right, van tatenhove, the former oath keeper that testified yesterday. I literally said to Travis. I'm like, I felt like I was reading out of Malcolm Nance's book. Talking about Civil War him talking about what could happen next, the ongoing insurgency were you struck by that, too? Yeah. I mean, it's just absolutely ironic that this guy testifies on my book launch day. And look, you know, I went out, I was up and upstate New York. We had a big discussion about this book on public radio. And I'm going to be honest with you and your listeners. This book is terrifying. It's terrifying, but it is critical everyone understands what they're up against here. And that's part of the problem. People are, you know, spend more time paying playing candy crush and not realizing guys like this are out there planning, buying ammunition, preparing for Civil War. And if he hadn't been arrested, I mean, I don't even think he was particularly, you know, particularly chased over what he did on the revolution on insurrection. The part where he said we need to stop mincing words. It was an armed revolution. I mean, I think the parts where you saw all the people online and what they were saying, reacting to Donald Trump's orders. It's exactly what you've been saying. This is a Civil War. This is an ongoing insurgency. Well, you know, I'm going to break my arm patting myself on the back again because no one else is going to do it. I said this on November 6th, 2020. Two days after the election, I was on real time with Bill Maher and I said, you want gloom and doom. I'm going to give you bloom and doom. There won't be any kumbaya, right? Yeah. It will be insurgency.

Kimberley Johnson on Trump Hating Republicans
"Kimberly, you raise a really interesting point. I'll tell you why, because we just saw, you know, Liz Cheney was celebrating the roe V wade decision. Like, Liz Cheney hates Donald Trump. You're absolutely right. But she's not on our side. In fact, one of the reasons we were talking about, why is there this like, they're not going after Jenny Thomas. When I was hearing, is because Liz Cheney likes the Supreme Court the way it is. She doesn't want Ginny and clarence. She doesn't want any talk of clarence Thomas. Yes. Resigning or getting or you name it, right? And so and I thought this on cue, right this morning, Travis, a lawyer for Jenny Thomas, told the House select committee, he saw no reason for her to testify. Well, yeah, because they see how these hearings are going. Yeah. Exactly. So they came after it came after the committee has made a fresh request for her appearance, and we have the text messages to what Meadows and to eastman. She was right in the middle of this thing. And that her husband already was the one sole vote voting to keep her communications private. Kimberly, so beyond a conflict of interest, I don't even know what you call it. Do you? Yeah. No, I mean, I agree with you a 100%. This is clearly very upsetting coming because, you know, we love to Democrats are so fond of loving the Republicans that are going to go against Trump. But we always have to remember that I do think that at some point they want to break from him because they don't like him. You can see their true reactions to Trump in 2016. Lindsey Graham tweeted it, Ted Cruz was talking about how horrible he was, Marco Rubio, all of them. They don't like him. But now that he gave them everything that they wanted. And now this trial is going to give them a clean

John Fugelsang on the Worst Thing Trump Has Done
"You know, the worst thing Donald Trump has done is make Mike Pence look like a good noble man. I am so angry that future kids in history class will read about how Mike Pence was a brave man who stood up and did the right thing. No, Mike Pence is an awful man. He is a revoltingly fake Christian. He was picked for the job because he was the fakest Christian in all of America. He was the most homophobic governor of all 50 states and it's like we're in this era where the bar has been lowered so much that whether you're Liz Cheney or Bill Barr or Mike Pence, if you tell the truth about one thing, you'll be hailed as a hero and Travis, I'm sorry, but you and Chris haven't committed treason in months. I know. Raising you. Just because Mike Pence didn't help with treason one time. We all have to respect
Why Ken Paxton Set Up Texas's Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit
"I'm back with attorney general of Texas, Ken Paxton. Ken, let's pivot to this new project or new thing you've set up. It's the cold case and missing persons unit. Talk about why you set it up and then let's talk about a specific case in which which I think is really quite remarkable and also quite moving. But talk about first, why did you set up this unit? Yeah, so I set this up because I had heard from people around the state. They were frustrated, particular cases I could name of cases just not being solved. People not having the resources to solve and there's really no repository for these cases. And so we had a prosecutor leaving the Travis county DA's office who was going to be allowed to stay there anymore in prosecute because that's not what they do in Travis county anymore. So I hired her and I said, look, I don't have any real resources, the legislature and provide a, I want you to start this cold case unit. You have a passion for it. You know how to do it. Use the resources that we have existing and hopefully if you're successful and we can start solving some of these cases to provide justice for people, then we can have an opportunity maybe to increase the size and give you some more resources because there's literally thousands of unsolved cases in

"Travis Buck Sexton show. Okay, so that conversation Which, by the way, you probably can't hear anywhere else in media. Is absolutely terrifying. And we had a discussion and version of it yesterday, with doctors calling in And basically the thesis is and I might have done a poor job trying to explain it because I'm not a doctor. And as buck and I know, sometimes I'll read things I'll be like, Hey, I understand two thirds of this really well. But then I don't have the scientific depth of knowledge to understand all of this perfectly, but basically the hypothesis is which is out there. That the vaccine is causing antibody dependent enhancement and what is occurring is that we are allowing the virus to basically create constantly new variants. It's almost like the over prescription for better way of describing it for something that people are familiar with. With antibiotics. How a drug someone can become. If you take antibiotics for too long, they stopped to have an effect on you and the virus, then has the ability to adjust and conquer what should cure it for lack of a better way of describing it so fascinating because this is reversing so much if this stuff and remember we are speaking in the realm of hypotheses here, yes, but bringing in people with the scientific knowledge and background. And who are looking at the data to grounded in reality. We have been told, for example, that the unvaccinated the reason this is spreading almost entirely. That is, that is not true. We know that that's not not the case. What will be fascinating to see is we've also been told the unvaccinated or effectively the Petri dishes for the variance if we are in an antibody dependent enhancement aid situation here with this unprecedented immediate, that fact mass vaccination campaign Clay. It may in fact, be that the vaccinated are operating as Petri dishes for variants and enhanced versions of the virus, which is what I was trying to get out with my question with Alex, which is terrifying. If that's actually gonna be the case. We got some quotes from you for Fauci. More lies. I want to play it for you when we come back. "Jodi areas. Remember her an early summer of two thousand eight the mortgage crisis in the us loomed. Large barack obama was campaigning. For the presidential election in the fall the world was looking forward to the summer olympics in beijing. A horrifying crime was going down into phoenix suburb of mesa. Arizona travis alexander. A thirty year old mormon motivational speaker of sorts would be found five days after his murder by his friends and roommates in a scene. Look like something straight out of a slasher flick. Blood was splattered on the walls of the bathroom. Where travis his body was found along the sink mirror entitled floors. He's been stabbed nearly thirty times his throat slit and he'd been shot in the head and his friends and family immediately pointed their fingers at the one person who the all thought was most likely responsible. Jody areas a slightly built attractive woman with no criminal record. Someone who did not look like the person most would connect with travis brutal crime scene. She was the woman. Travis had been dating off and on for the better part of the past year and a half and odd woman. Once you looked into the relationship. A woman who wants slept under. "Are stories are valuable to at least one percent to kinda help them like their way through whatever it is. They're going through whether it's coming out whether it's finding self acceptance whether it's you know or just needing kind of like that little nudge that says hey you're gonna be okay. Things are really shitty. And it's okay to honor that and you know just accept it. That's what it is. What's not okay is staying stuck there. You know it is one thing to sit down and acknowledge how you're feeling and what you're going through and having an appreciation for it for what it is it is another to get swept up and listen i am i am so human like you know i will go through facebook and i will see things like piss me off and i'm like i like fired away at like you know like a clever retort and like a comment and like no delete delete daily. I e can't get stuck there and you can't let those little things you know kind of distract you from the mission and the mission is to move forward in faith and when i say faith. Faith to me is not religious faith. It's not a faith in god. I mean it could be enough. That works for you then absolutely me. Faith is knowing that you know. I have survived everything that i have been through up to this point in my life and i did that. I have help a friends and family but ultimately that that choice to take where i came from and become the person that i am like that was a conscious choice that that it didn't just happen like i worked hard and i think sometimes we celebrate where we've come. I also think it's important to acknowledge what we didn't become the things that we could have. Easily just be honest. We let ourselves get swept under not push forward and i think anybody out there. That's listening that is kind of you know if you're struggling or you're just kind of you know you're having a tough time dealing with your mental. Help seek therapy your friend. A safe support group. That is going to help. Keep you moving forward because we have to keep moving forward. The only way. I will say this you know. I'm so glad that you put all this into a book because you know i know that we like. We were originally just facebook acquaintances when we first met over the years. Just like watching you post those and you know there's there's been a lot of stuff go. Yeah yeah whatever whatever whatever. Oh there's like this whole like spray of glitter in a sea of darkness. That just you know. Sometimes i was like what don't be so happy whatever other times. It's like what. Yeah this this actually. It spoke to me. So i'm super excited. I will gladly by whatever book that you publish about dot because it's now Traumas before we do the interview for the day. Where can our lovely family. That's listening to us. Fight you on the internet. If they wanted to. Yes i make it super simple. So you can find me on facebook travis whole Any other social media like instagram. Or tiktok it's travis warrior unicorn. The warrior unicorn is just something. I've embraced over the past couple of years. I embrace it gladly but that's can be found So you know if you like inspirational things and the occasional gym selfie come find. That's some good stuff. "Travis asks a melanin deficient guest to undo the mistakes of the past a pitching solutions to pressing minority issues to pay off people of color. Yes. We're solving racism one white ego at a time. Casts like, I guess take off white guests because I feel like want to be on your show, but do I count? Yeah. I think you okay as as whiter off. Wei. I mean. Well, now, you're ladling people's let's go you could just sit like halfway in the seat. That's right. It's fine. So for example, white guest, we'll talk to you and your fellow black panel members right and explain how to fix prisons. Let's say, yes. Okay. And are you amazed that these guests are willing to do it? In the beginning. I was okay. Because there's no guarantee of your safety entering that room. People get upset at you the hosts or the people get upset at the guest or both like, Shannon Republic listeners. Well, most of the people that get upset about the show of never heard it. Right. They just read that description, which is admittedly providing provocative, except it's you literally gong. It's white people trying their best. Yeah. L K. But like it's weird to argue. It's not where I'm trying my bad. Yeah. It's weird because people see. People that get really mad about that sort of thing. They hear that you are ignoring race at all. And they think that's racist. Like a lot of the comments are just like, I don't know the a lot of the comments. I get are just boiled down to like your racist. 'cause you 'cause you realize they were white, right? And they they know they come from this weird colorblind perspective where if you aknowledge that they're pertinent distant differences than you're a bad person our buddy while he was making a joke saying, you know, what just by even recognizing something's racist directs. So here's some racist..
