A highlight from New England's Historic Loss & CJ Stroud Breaks Out

"Hello and welcome to the MMQB NFL podcast. I'm Conroe. That's my dog Ernie upstairs barking at the FedEx guy. Albert Breer's here and I'm going to start in New York because Albert I can't believe that we're still doing this Taylor Swift thing. And now the NFL is doing the Taylor Swift thing. Do you see that they are their subhead on their Twitter pages. The Chiefs are now 2 -0 as Swifties. I did not see that but I am more and more. It's fake. I think so too. I think on Friday like the radio show I did in Boston. They leave me at the like and these guys are really creative and they kind of like took me through their full like tinfoil hat like conspiracy theory. You know like you know what this actually really makes sense. Like because the NFL has forever chased the female demographic and they've struggled to get it. And they know that there's nothing more buzz worthy on that side of the aisle than Taylor Swift. And they were shameless enough to cut like I mean we've seen some of their shameless acts over the years to try and get the female audience. And this wouldn't even rank in like the top 10. You know what I mean like this would just be sort of par for the course that they would do something like this. So I really like I am officially on this Monday morning Connor especially after the 10 million shots that box last night. I'm all the way there. This is all fake. This is all like this is all contrived. This is it. Everyone wins situation. Taylor gets to promote her movie. What else is it? There's one other thing right is a new album coming out. I can't keep track of all of this. I have no idea. OK. So Taylor gets to promote that stuff with a different demographic. Right. Like football different demographics different than hers. The NFL gets to try to take a swing at the female audience. And then Travis Kelsey gets an enormous benefit from this. Travis Kelsey's following has exploded. Nine hundred thousand new followers. This is like an everyone wins situation. And it's all fake. A 14 point 14 whatever place jump in Jersey sales. Like we were taught in school to follow the money and it's right out in front of us. Like it's like you know we're not even it's not even like they're hiding it. And I think I'm only read some of this stuff sometimes, though, and like like over the last week, like actually clicking on some like people dot com links, you know, I've seen some stories she reads. And I always think that the page six type stuff, you know, and I always think it's funny when there's like an insider into somebody's relationship, like who would be the insider into your relationship? Connor, I, you know, when they when they when they when they put sources into your relation and then people's relationships. Yeah, the sources be I mean, it would be like my neighbor or like my mom or my wife's mom. It would be like, yeah, I think I think they're fighting, you know. Yeah. Yeah. I don't have a publicist. I always think that's great. Like is the sources into the like the insiders into the relationship? Like is that person like just coming over and hanging out on a Tuesday or something and that makes them an insider? So Brian Costello, who's awesome, Jets beat writer for the New York Post, and he tweeted the the bio for the NFL's Twitter page, which is the Chiefs two and O's Swifties. And he's totally right. This is the kind of stuff that fuels nutjob conspiracy theorists, not just the ones with the podcast. But the fans who watched that game last night and saw their saw the outcome derailed by an extraordinarily questionable call on Sauce Gardner. And listen, I'm not saying it's good, bad, right, wrong or indifferent. But if you're a Jets fan and you've already seen your entire season railroaded by the NFL's greed and desire to milk whatever they can out of this franchise and you had to do hard knocks. Every single game is on prime time. Your schedule is ridiculous, ridiculously front loaded and impossible at the beginning. You know, I don't know what else you could think right now other than your team is just being actively manipulated by by the league. And listen, I don't believe it. You know, Andy Benoit and I used to fight about the I used to get him going on the NFL's fake thing a while back. We had a lively discussion about that after Peyton Manning's second Super Bowl. But I don't believe it. I'm not one of those people. Well, you're not making them go away. I just noticed I just went to the NFL's Twitter page. It is now the header is three shots of tail left. And like if you look at the bio, I think this is a tailor. I think this is a tailor reference. We had the best day with you today. Maybe is that a reference? I think it has to be right to be clear. I'm not anti Taylor Swift. I think she's a fine musician. Yeah, I think she's a genius. Like, yeah, I think she's a legitimate genius and everything she touches turns to gold. And there's a reason for it. She's obviously incredible. Yeah, I just don't like I want you know what? I think I'm hot, too, because I'm coming off the I wrote about the way those are the lyrics to it. Those are those are lyrics from a Taylor Swift song titled The Best Day. Okay, I think I'm just a little hot coming off the Toy Story broadcast, too. Did you did you catch any of that? I was actually coaching third grade football during the Toy Story. Okay, good. Yeah, I threw that on and I was just like, what are they doing? And I get it. You're trying to get kids to watch football. But how about just allowing kids to watch football or to have kids play football and not to watch like a I mean, the technology was incredible. But it like it looked like a like a like Minecraft, you know, and like I just felt like I watch it with my son for a minute. And I was like, they're trying to just it's like cocoa melon. They're just trying to hypnotize them. So we we bang that thing fast. I mean, I just feel like that's like there are some people at the league office who don't have enough to do. And that's how things like that wind up coming to life. Like like fix, fix the problems. Like we're focused on Taylor Swift and the Toy Story broadcast, like like digital chains so that like chains don't break during the game. Grass fields like like like fix the actual problems with the games. My God. Anyway, twenty three twenty, the Chiefs beat the Jets. The Jets fall to one in three. The Chiefs are three and one. I think my takeaway from this game is the takeaway that everybody had, which was this was a feisty, very feisty Zach Wilson game. I think that Robert Sala, to me, win or lose, just earns so much credit because during the week he knew he was going to get demolished. And he said, you don't throw people away. You just don't throw people away. And I give him so much credit because honestly, this is job on the line stuff. And he stuck with Zach Wilson. He dug in. There was no sample size. And Zach played really well. I was very happy for them. And look, like I think that the biggest problem that Robert Sala had was like, can he continue to sell Zach Wilson to the locker room? Because the premise of that entire team, the construction of that team this year was we're going for it. Right. So there are guys in that locker room like Allen Lazard and Adrian Amos and Randall Cobb, guys that were like that are older vets that are there to chase the ring. And like guys like that aren't going to have patience. They don't care what this means for your franchise in 2025. They care about right now. And the younger guys in the roster are going to be worried about what's going to get them in a position to get paid. So it can be hard to sell a developing quarterback to a locker room. And I'll give Robert Sala credit for standing by Zach Wilson, because if he didn't do that, like it would have been impossible. It would have been impossible for Zach in that locker room. you And, know, it sort of made me think of something I said earlier in the day about how Josh Dobbs should get us to question everything about how we develop quarterbacks, how the NFL develops quarterbacks, how the NFL nurtures quarterbacks. Because, you know, you have this guy in Josh Dobbs who got what, six years to kind of learn away from the bright lights. And then because he was on different teams, because he had different experiences, because he was developed away from game action, because people invested in him, because he had a chance and people had patience with him. And, you know, every single movement of his wasn't, you know, litigated on a public level on a week to week basis. You know, he had a chance to kind of get better in the background. And now you have a guy who's so adaptable that he could be traded a week before the season and start and take maybe the worst roster in the league and have a competitive over the first month of the season. It really like to me, like looking at Josh Dobbs makes you question everything. And so if six years can do that for Josh Dobbs, why are we throwing guys out after two or three years? That's what I don't get about it. It's fair to make an assessment on a guy and say, like, he sucks now. But to say guys never going to be good, just ignore so much history. You know, like Alex Smith is a phenomenal example of it. Right. Like how many times was he given up on in San Francisco? Yeah. Like, oh, he can't play. But no one was looking at the fact that like he had five coordinators his first five years in the league. He had two head coaches. Everything was completely unstable around him. And then Jim Harbaugh gets there in 2011 says, no, I'm sticking with him. And he takes off and then he's in the league for another decade as a starter. You know, like it's just we have so many examples of the of why we shouldn't make definitive and declarative statements about young quarterbacks. And yet we do it over and over and over again. And like I do, I think like the intention of the Jets in the first place was we have to press the pause button with Zach Wilson. We may have wronged him by playing him too fast. Right. And by putting too much on him too early. And so the whole intention on bringing him back this year was to allow him the chance to do the Josh jobs and develop in the background for a year or two. And that got blown up. But just because that plan got blown up like that's not Zach Wilson's fault. That plan got blown up. It's not anybody's fault. So now you're going to just completely throw the kid out. Why? Because Aaron Rodgers got hurt. There's a lot of like really faulty logic that goes into the way that he's been talked about over the last couple of weeks, I think. I agree. I'm not just saying this because I wrote about it, but to not even, you know, I think we're in such a easy Twitter dunk society that when Zach Wilson and Nathaniel Hackett get paired up, everyone's just like, oh, this is going to be terrible. And without looking at any of the history of any of these guys. The AFC championship came with Blake, Blake Bortles. He got Ryan Nassib drafted out of Syracuse. I went to Syracuse. Do you know who was the quarter? The last quarterback drafted before Ryan Nassib, Donovan McNabb, Donovan McNabb. I was going to say I was going to say Troy Nunes. Like I think drafted as a quarterback. I think there was a couple of quarterbacks that turned into tight ends, but in literally broke all the school records with this guy. And then he got Kyle Wharton, I believe, to the doorstep of the playoffs. Yeah. Two MVPs with Aaron Rodgers after he was lost in the woods for a little while. The guy's good at what he does, you know, and we're seeing in Denver now, who knows? Make your own judgments about what happened there. But I think that this thing could work like, OK, yeah. The Jets are one in three, but their schedule softens up a little bit. They played a lot of their best defenses up front. You know, Zach Wilson is going to look bad against the Cowboys, but how many other people are going to look really bad against the Cowboys? Right. And now in the next few games, like they have the Broncos coming up. I mean, Zach Wilson could could legitimately put up 50 points against that team. The Eagles, who are really good defense giants, Jets, Giants before Halloween, which if he can handle the pressure. I think that's coming off a buy, too. So it's coming off a buy. You know what Wink Martindale is going to do. He does it well, but you know what he's going to do. And then the Chargers November six, the Raiders November 12th. You don't play a really good team. You play the Eagles in the bills in the next month and a half. Otherwise, you're good. Well, we're kind of like that's like and that was the whole logic behind this. And I think we talked about this last week. To me, the problem with going away from Zach Wilson, like in the whole in the first place, was a there's no better option out there right now. Right. And B, once you go away from him, you can't go back again. You know, so I think so. I think so. I knew that like it was if we bench him in consecutive years, we can't sell him to the locker room again.

Brian Costello Andy Benoit Nathaniel Hackett Jim Harbaugh Kyle Wharton Ryan Nassib Alex Smith Ernie Donovan Mcnabb Josh Dobbs New York Aaron Rodgers Travis Kelsey 2011 Adrian Amos November 12Th Randall Cobb Five Coordinators Robert Sala Zach

Fresh "Travis Kelsey" from BTV Simulcast

"Welcome back so uh kenya central bank great position today expected to hold rates fight of course mounting pressures on inflation meanwhile you have a recent cellophane stocks there have taken the benchmark to the slow steepest losses so far uh in the world let's bring in uh jennifer zabazaga of course who joins us uh... from jonesburg right now yet let's start with the rate decision uphold or or hike right so david uh... economists are largely in agreement that we will see the kenya central bank today uh... do what at its other emerging market peers alike on the philippines uh... and south at south africa uh... have done which is holding rates but as you mentioned there's a number of inflationary pressures that are mounting for this country and really causing a concern at so much concern that what we're hearing from the kenyan banking association uh... is that they potentially want to see a hike today and of those concerns uh... it's it's a number of them one of them being president ruto uh... he's planning to increase taxes add more taxes on kenyans uh... there's also higher global energy prices uh... and there's also a number of macro shocks at at like food at prices that are just making it really hard out for kenyans at in the country now and and one of the other things that economists are looking particularly at is the fact that in august we did see inflation uh... ticked down but what was a surprise for the first time in september we saw inflation quickened for the first time in four months excuse me and so there's a lot of expectation uh... or there's a lot of anticipation about what this kenyan central bank will do will do not to mention that the fact that the kenyan shilling has really been uh... undergoing mounting losses this year right now it's depreciated about seventeen percent this year alone it's africa's six worst performing currency and there's concern that a euro bond payment in twenty twenty four uh... will make that uh... it will spell even more of bad news for the kenyan shilling show a lot of pressure on the new central bank governor who has been an appointment since june uh... to see what he will say today and really restore some confidence for investors that are really sort of moving away from this uh... economy because of all of these concerns yeah and that depreciating currencies inflationary uh... nobody equity market where where where you are the the third largest superman uh... supermarket uh... pick and pay i believe uh... shares have just almost taken out the floor do we know why yet yet that the biggest thing at the biggest reason why we're seeing this happening today is what we heard from picking pan monday is that they're replacing at the current c l with a former leader he used to be the group c l at four pick and pay but he left back in two thousand seven and what we heard from pick and pay is that they've seen a number of losses now is now just to give you some context as you mentioned this is the third biggest retailer here in south africa it really caters to a lot of lower income households and so the fact that they've not been able to really see sales uh... do do well this year is a lot of concern for investors and so there's a replacement that's gonna happen at the current c l is going to be replaced uh... but with this new uh... person coming in i guess statement of a of a former employee uh... people are concerned that just uh... because of that south africa retail changing so much since he left in two thousand seven uh... there's not that much that he can potentially do to turned things out round as you mentioned at the stock really cratering on monday uh... doing x some way worse than what we saw from south africa's retail sector index as a whole so really paying attention to what happens today at with that stock and with that specific company uh... here in south africa certainly will jen great stuff thank you so much jen with us of course their rights let's uh... let's pivot to the story which is actually quite well -read and on the bloomberg today and well -watched if you will if you're following uh... if following the nfl yeah guess who showed up uh... at the kansas city gave seven million viewers here sunday night football that was the audience right now is a taylor swift and swell her that the love story and this groomed relationship with uh... tight the end of the kansas city chiefs here that's uh... travis kelsey the really pulling in just an enormous amount of port and fans and i guess in some ways you could think of this as and maybe that's another formula to crease eyeballs if you will write so be on top of obviously trying to players in the world you know get them on bumble get them on get them on tender maybe i'm course kidding anyway will be the story there for now will be able to look at equity markets which are relatively in a more sorry states net room in relation to plenty more ahead the only way to start the morning is with optimism the jobs recovery was sluggish a lot of people agree on that bloomberg surveillance with tom keene within their own lease on the way it's fine when we got some of our own was cool to get in there the ultimate south signal might be when lisa capitulates bloomberg surveillance must listen must watch lisa your data point point go tom you're great never change weekly mornings at seven eastern on bloomberg radio and bloomberg television there are a lot of ways to look right at the world now interesting that you've got an overweight on hong

And I'm going to let you know that I had a reader last week for my mailbag column on S .I. com, send it an email and said, when is Marchand's next appearance? So here we go. You made someone happy. Thank you that person. You made someone happy by coming on today. Let's start with this. A lot of media news to get to. Have you heard anything from ESPN or do you have any intel about how they feel about the last two weeks? How the staggered Monday Night Football doubleheader has gone? Because I've gotten a lot of emails and tweets about it. I'm sure you have as well. Yeah, I haven't talked to anybody specifically about how they feel about it. I mean, it is an NFL decision. ESPN is not in control of how those games are scheduled. Maybe they have some say, but it's the NFL decision. Yeah, I don't like it. Actually, in our podcast with John, it was my who's down this week. And the reason I just feel like I kind of said this on our part, it's too it's like having two quarterbacks and you have none. Right. And now if you have Joe Montana and Steve Young, there are two awesome games. Maybe that'd be better. But I just find my attention split and I don't know. And even at like halftime, I wouldn't recommend you go to the other game. Like I get what they're trying to do there, but it's not the NCAA tournament. And usually it's in like the second quarter, third quarter. So I personally don't think it really works that well. Now, I think they want to avoid I'm not positive, but I think they want to avoid that 10 30 late window. We used to get the Monday night and you get the, you know, crazy crew, either Chris Berman or Golick and Greenberg, you know, some of those crews back in the day. They probably don't want that late night game where, you know, you're losing that East Coast audience if it gets too late. But I don't know. I don't think this necessarily works. See, I like it. And what are the tweet? What are the tweeters say? Most people seem to not like it. Yeah. And why do you like it? The more the merrier. Give me as much football as possible. If I can watch eight games at one o 'clock on Sunday and four or five games at four o 'clock on Sunday, I can handle two games on Monday night. So, you know, I have two TVs. I put one game on each TV and two is better than one for me. That's just how I feel. Yeah, I've been a little running around these last couple of Mondays when this happened. So I may be a little bit, you know, my opinion skewed a little bit by that. It hasn't just been like I'm just chilling and watching, been running around a little bit. So perhaps that's, you know, maybe I could be swayed. I will say, you know, I don't know. This is a whole separate discussion. I would love to know your take on this, but I always feel like it's a little tough sometimes to criticize people in this podcast when I also have to book this podcast. So I try to be careful. Yeah, I notice you're very soft. That's what you're trying to say. Sometimes. So I'm sure this guy will never come on again, but they gotta do better than Chris Fowler on the secondary game. Just not, it's just not working. Chris is not a great play -by -player. Right. He was a great host, studio host. Can I say one thing? Yeah. He's on tremendous tennis. Like I watch the U .S. Open every single day. I think he's great on tennis. It's football where it's just something feels off. Well, tennis is also slower. And like you look at people who do really well at the slower sports. Like, you know, Jim Nantz is better than Chris Fowler, but Nantz is really his best thing is golf. And I think he's an OK NFL play -by -player. And at the end of his college basketball run, he was definitely, I don't know, OK is probably, you know, he was OK there as well. And I think if you look at Fowler and his history, now he's been doing play -by -play for a while now. And he has gotten better. Like when he first started on the number one crew, I mean, if I were covering it then, that would not, I probably would not have been that kind. Because he has gotten better, but it's not really good enough. And he's the rare case, I think with Herb Street, that Herb Street makes him better. Usually it's the play -by -player who makes the analyst better. And yeah, I think you're right. And I also think, you know, in fairness to Fowler, you know, ESPN put that crew together. They replaced Levy there and they had a year or two under their belt together as a team. And, you know, not the full team, but him and Riddick, Levy and Riddick, and then Jadolowski. And I think they kind of don't, they underestimate chemistry. It takes time to build it up. And so I think that hurts. And he just, he's a college guy too. It's hard just to come into the NFL. I know he, you know, he's talked how hard his schedule is with the U .S. Open. And then, you know, doing a game a couple days later. And then doing a college. And so, you know, that's hard. And so, yeah, he's not a tremendous play -by -player. To me, this is just me, it felt like when ESPN gave him that gig, it was more about ESPN trying to impress the NFL. Like, look, we have our number one college game. Like you had said earlier, the secondary Monday night game for years was, you know, Golic and Greenberg and Chris Berman with a cast of character. Rich Ryan did it one year. I think this is ESPN trying to say to the NFL, because now they have a Super Bowl and they have this big contract. And, you know, they brought in Buck and Aikman. Like, we're serious, we're going to take our, regardless of what you think about Fowler, he's their lead college guy. So, I feel like they're like, oh, look at us, we're putting the lead when, you know, that. Yeah, I think they screwed up and I think they know they screwed up. I think that they ended up shifting who was in charge of the NFL. It was Stephanie Drewley. And they moved her off the NFL after, you know, I think that didn't help her cause in terms of staying on the NFL. I think they were satisfied with Levy. He was a good guy, which they value. After they brought in Joe Buck, he was very gracious. You know, Levy's a very good hockey guy, especially studio host. I thought he could have, you know, could have been the pregame show on Monday Night Football. He's in, again, not their, in my opinion, they had other people who are better play -by -players for football, but it was good. Like, so, yeah, I don't think it was to impress the NFL. They got Joe Buck and Troy Aikman. They got the Mannings. I mean, they spend, they're spending 50, 60 million dollars a year on their booths. Like, I don't think the second team booth is gonna, you know. If anything, I think it was, there was a thought before Buck and Aikman that Fallon and Herb Street might get the NFL. Might get Monday Night Football. Might get the potential Super Bowl. And then this is kind of a carrot since they didn't get it. But I'd argue, and I even talked to Chris Fowler about this. So, I don't know if this is the case. I just don't know if, I mean, Chris Fowler does the national championship. He does the biggest college game every week for Disney. I can't, like, I get it. Maybe he wanted to do NFL. But is this really gonna satisfy him because you're doing a second game, which generally aren't that great? I don't, I don't see that long -term, personally. And I think also, strategically, if I'm ESPN, I'm putting a young play -by -player. Now, Joe Buck, we both think it's great. Like, he and Ian Eagle are the best two play -by -players going right now. And, um, but, Joe Buck's contract's up in a couple of years. If I'm ESPN, and I, you know, I think they'll probably re -sign Joe Buck, and they should. That said, he makes a lot of money. And, you know, I would be saying, who can I develop? What young guy can I develop? So when I go into that negotiation, I really have somebody who's on the rise. And I can say, hey, look, you don't want this, you know, the 15 million a year? Then we'll go here, you know? But if you start demanding, I'm not saying this is going to happen, but, demanding even more and more money, I'd want an option. I don't think they've created an option. They've actually put somebody in that spot who they've already said they'd rather spend 15 million dollars on Joe Buck than have Chris Fowler as the lead play -by -player. So, I just think negotiation -wise, and strategically, in terms of saving money, it wasn't a great decision. Yeah. I don't understand the insistence on the three -person booth, either. They had Fowler, Greasy, and Riddick. Excuse me, excuse me. Levy, Riddick, Greasy. Now it's Fowler or Lofsky, Riddick. To me, that, and, Fowler's used to a two -person booth with Herb Street. They have Buck and Aikman, which is a two -person booth. I don't understand the insistence on the three -person booth. It's just, for football, it just, I don't get it, but, that's just my - It complicates, it over -complicates it. Yeah. And like you said, chemistry. I think it's much harder to develop a chemistry with three. I mean, you know, the local Mets situation is different with Gary Cohn, Ron Darl - Is it in baseball, is it football? What three men, can you name - I mean, I guess back in the old Monday Night Football days, there were three men booths that had - Yeah, Collinsworth and Aikman with Buck that one year. Yeah, one year it lasted, you know. So, I don't know. But, there's no more staggered double -headers. The next one is week 14, and both games will start at 8 -15. I think that's the one that's going to piss a lot of people off. But, that's a long way down the road. You got the two TVs. Yeah. I asked you if ESPN, how they feel about Monday Night Football. Anything you've heard about how they feel about their new partnership with Pat McAfee. I mean, it's early, but they're bullish on it. I mean, they've kind of handed the keys to the network to McAfee. I mean, you can't - it's kind of like Stephen A. now. You can't really turn on ESPN almost every day except basically Sunday without seeing Pat. And so, you know, I think initially the ratings weren't that good. I think they got a little better in terms of the TV ratings. I think that kind of makes some sense because if you think about it, he was a YouTube show. Yeah, he's got to play for TV. Yeah, and he's still a YouTube show. Well, it is a play for TV because they think that they had Max in there before. They think that the ratings will be high enough that they'll be able to charge more for the ad rates. I guarantee you the money they'll make off of McAfee on social media and YouTube will be 8 billion times more than the money they made off Max Kellerman on social media. Oh, 100%. No, you're right. No, you're right. There's no doubt about that. And look, they want to get, I will say this, like, does it work? I think a lot of times when companies make big moves, you know, big time moves, a lot of times they make those moves when the person's kind of towards the end, you know, they got McAfee on the rise. Like, you know, we, you know, you and I have been aware of McAfee for years now, but he's really like, you know, here, I don't think he's at the plateau, you know, where most people go up and then they plateau and then they go down. He's at, he's still, I think, going up and then maybe the plateau is on the horizon and you can plateau for 20, 25 years if you have the right attitude and personality and just have the right act. So that's where I think that makes a lot of sense as a bet because it's not, I'll hit one close to home, Rick Riley leaving ESPN. I mean, leaving SI for ESPN where, you know, Rick Riley is one of the great columnist ever, but at that point, you know, whatever, maybe it was the internet, I don't know exactly. It just didn't really work as well at ESPN as it did at SI. And so I just think they've done that and that's kind of, you know, teams do that in sports and I think sometimes networks do that. And so I feel like signing McAfee in his mid -30s is kind of like signing a baseball free agent who's in his mid -20s and I think that's what you want to do as opposed to getting a, signing a 35 -year -old and, you know, thinking they can still play, you know, like, I don't know, like a Josh Donaldson, maybe trading for someone like that, Jimmy. You see what I did there? I don't need reminders of the horrific Yankee season. I just did that on purpose. I don't need that. My head was going, who am I going to say? All right, yeah, Josh Donaldson, but it was a treat. Just a, yeah, you want me to say Brian Cashman should be fired. It's amazing too, they replay that. I didn't know this was going to be the situation going into it, but they replay the show as soon as it's over, I think, on ESPN 2 and then they replay it at night on maybe ESPN News or one of their, what you said about if you're going to put on one of the ESPNs at any point in the day, you're going to see Pat McAfee. Yeah. So that's good for him. Like I, you know, people feel like - But I also think, ESPN has to be, they have Aaron Rodgers on their air every week. It's a news making thing that's on their air every week. They've got Nick, he's got Nick Saban on his show every week. Yeah. That's a news making thing every week. I would think ESPN has to be, forget the numbers because the numbers, I think, will be there. It's still a new thing. You have, the ESPN audience is older, the McAfee audience is younger, it might take some, but I would think ESPN just on the brand and the cachet of that show has to be thrilled. I think so. I mean, but if you talk, like I have, again, I'll probably make some calls here in the near future, but so I haven't talked specifically with anybody about that. But generally speaking, when these things first start, everyone loves it. So then we'll see. Again, I'm not saying, I could see it either way. Like, you know, McAfee has not really stayed at any of these, throughout any of these contracts he's had. So that's something to watch. Maybe this one he does, but that hasn't been the case previously. So that is something. I think the fact that he's on game day has to help the relationship there a little bit with ESPN. Here's the thing about McAfee. If you're managing him, in my opinion, and it's like Casey Jones, the former coach of the Celtics, was known for just throwing out the ball and telling McHale, Parrish, and Bird to go play, Dennis Johnson. At least that's how I remember as a kid. That was his reputation. And I think McAfee is sort of like that. Just give him the ball, let him do his thing. He's not looking to, you know, for some strategy. Let's, you know, triangle offense. He's not looking for that. He's looking for, let me do my thing. I know what I'm doing. And the thing about McAfee is he's very smart. Like, I know he plays this, like, he's not smart thing. It works very hard. He works hard and he's very smart. He's very savvy. He acts as if, like, you know, maybe he's, you know, just a dumb jock. But he understands the media business very well. We need, we need to discuss the Kelsey Taylor Swift thing because I actually think it's a legitimate media story. If Fox is going to get these increase in their demographics of the female audience, the young people, the NFL has gone all in on this thing. I mean, they changed their Twitter header to, like, a Taylor Swift thing. They're putting out Travis Kelsey Swiftiest plays on their social media. He's gained, I guess, a ton of followers, the jersey sale. Let me start with this. How did you think Fox handled it on Sunday when she was in the stadium? Do you think they overdid it? Do you think the fact that they had an unwatchable game takes them off the hook? What was your take on the Chiefs -Bears on Sunday when she was there? I think the second part, and I wouldn't take them off the hook, but I think the second part, you have an unwatchable game that you had to switch most of the country out of because it was so non -competitive, that you have Taylor Swift there, it's a big deal. And, you know, there's a lot of Taylor Swift fans who are football fans, a lot of non -Taylor Swift fans who weren't watching that game, but it was a talking point, right? Like, I saw Taylor Swift in the concert this summer, but that was kind of - Look at you! Yeah, how do you like that? Look at you! You couldn't even get tickets. Big shot. Where'd you get tickets? My daughter's friend just won the lottery. No shenanigans. Oh, really? Tickets were $235 each, which is still a lot of money, but not, like, $1 ,000. And it was just kind of happenstance, how I ended up going. I was going to say, if your daughter's friend got tickets, how did you end up at the era's tour? I mean - Were you, like - It's just a long drive to get to the metal lands, didn't want them driving back. They're older, they can drive, but at, you know, one o 'clock in the morning from Taylor Swift, so - But you were in MetLife and watched the show. Yes. Friendship bracelets? Well, you want to know something funny? This is a good one. So, my daughter's friend said to me, do you want a - do you want a jewel? And I'm like, no, no, no, I'm okay. Thinking she's saying a jewel, like a jewel, smoke. But she was saying, like, to, like, get bedazzled, a little jewel, which I would have taken. So later, I was like, I told my daughter, I said, but your friend, she said she asked me if I wanted a jewel. She's like, no, no, she didn't say you wanted a jewel. She said, do you want a - a jewel to put some ju - you know. Right. I didn't have any bracelets, but I was into - I liked Taylor Swift. I wouldn't go again. I kind of felt bad being there, because there's people who give their left arm to be there. But it was - look, she is an unbelievable performer. I mean, it was - you could - first of all, I liked some of her songs. Secondly, the level of performance. It was just, you know, it was an A+. I mean, that - that - and that is something, even if you didn't like her music, you can appreciate it. And also, I appreciate it if I had to go to the bathroom. Easy pass right in there. No one. Right. No one's leaving their seat except for people like you who aren't in it. Yeah, and especially, yeah, and more skewed women.

"And will remain so for some time. And Taylor Swift's economic impact continues to be felt with the NFL TV ratings getting a massive bump and an increase in gains here amid excitement about her relationship with Kansas City's Travis Kelsey. Right, yeah there we go we'll talk about that story in just a moment. There are a little bit of tidbits there. Big money as we were talking about. Right back to I guess the public markets not in good shape as you can see on your screens. The Asian benchmark so we get we're getting Hong Kong coming back online today really adding to the selling pressure we're getting so Hong Kong's up by three percent. Just keep in mind we're on the lunch break right now. One and a half percent is the downside right now you're seeing there. Since about a couple of minutes ago give or take 15 -20 minutes or so we were stable in S &P futures. We've since clocked in I would say two or three points at a downside the most active contract there on Asia the benchmark you take a massive step back we're not the lowest levels here for the year. Effectively we took out the March lows a couple of minutes back. Flip the boards can please if the we pain point is the bond markets the long end we'll talk more about what's worked in a moment there we talked about pulling back below 90 on that. It is my birthday tomorrow. So sometimes if my birthday coincides with rewatchables, which I think has only happened one other time, but we like to do a big movie. So that's where we're doing one of my favorite movies the last 40 years. Stay tuned. Coming up next, we had an action packed loaded week three. We're gonna talk Taylor Swift, Travis Kelsey. We're gonna talk about Miami putting up 70. Sal's team losing. We're gonna introduce a new character, parent corner. Sal sent his kid to college. Oh man, this is almost two hours. Let's get to it. First pro jam. Let's get to it. All right, taping this a little after 8 .30, Sunday night Pacific time. The hardest word come in and show business is here. Cousin Sal just watched Pittsburgh Vegas, a bizarre game, but we're not starting there. We're starting with your team. You're stupid cowboys. You compliment me and now that I see what you did here. Okay, all right. Your stupid team that I thought I could throw into a little 11 and a half Arizona, like throw a bit. All they had to do was run by two and a half. I had a FanDuel boost. I had real life money. I had a million dollar pick and it's like, of course they'll beat the Cardinals by two and a half. Rahim thought the Cardinals were tanking. No, no, that's not what happened. And now you're containing cowboys. They couldn't even make it to my birthday before they fell apart. They couldn't even make it to the end of September. Was that the goal? I guess had they known your birthday was a Monday. Yeah, they might've stuck around. I know, I know. I don't know what to tell you. It sucked. I had it tied to everything too. I had an Oregon this and the Chiefs this and the 49ers and the Cowboys and everything. And I didn't even care that they had three, essentially three offensive linemen out or that Trayvon Diggs got hurt. Not that I didn't care, but I didn't think it would affect this game. And then they just got, they went out there and got their asses kicked. 13 penalties and didn't force any turnovers and couldn't do shit in the red zone. And of course it's a double digit loss, jerks. I kept, I had in the back of my head Rahim's theory that the Cardinals were tanking and that they were only playing one, a good first half. And then they would throw away the second half because their real goal is Caleb Williams. So at halftime, I'm like, I'm not going to panic yet. Maybe the Rahim's theory, no. The Rahim's theory was not true. The Cardinals actually played really well. And your team, I will say, look, this happens sometimes. Usually it doesn't happen in week three. It happens later in the year. But the team that is getting smoke blowing up their butts, they have this easy game and say, oh yeah, we're going to Arizona. It's going to be half Dallas fans. This will be a layup for us. So we've seen this scenario, just not this early in the season. What worried me though, from a Dallas standpoint, forget about the offensive line and the blocking stuff. Cause you'll get those guys back. But you do seem to have like third and seven, third and eight if Lamb is covered, where do you go issued? Like, you know, not everyone has the Kelsey type, but you don't have the Devontae Adams. You don't have really any of those guys. You don't have that big physical tight end in the middle. You don't have the awesome, you know, James White type third down running back who's going to get open. And you could really feel it in the red zone. They were one for five in the red zone today. Yeah. I mean, you know, what's his name? The tight end who went to Houston, I already forgot his name from Dallas last year, was our second lead. Schultz was our second leading receiver last year. So yeah, there is something to be said about that. And I do want to put it in proper perspective. If the Eagles lose to Tampa Bay, which is a possibility tomorrow, the week is a wash in the NFC East, right? That means everyone will have lost. So I don't want to get too crazy, but it did expose, you're right, everything I always worry about. Can Dak come up with a big play down the stretch? You know, are these injuries too much to overcome? And Mike McCarthy in that play calling, it really seemed like we were up 12 points trying to bleed the clock, not down 12 points. And it's like, oh, maybe he's just afraid to throw it. And then when we saw, he threw into three defenders and you cleverly quipped, how did they know which of the three were to intercept it? Yeah, that was kind of wrenching. That was an angry text to yours. I was just angrily texting. Like it was your fault that I was losing all my teases. Yeah, he just threw into three guys on one of the biggest plays of the game. Complete panic throw.

Fresh update on "travis kelsey" discussed on Bloomberg Law

"And so as it comes back here the Supreme Court's in the position of saying well you took that a little too far. So you know in some cases it is the Fifth Circuit going off on its own and in other cases it's you know at least arguably taking what the Supreme Court has given it and and running with it. That landmark second amendment Supreme Court decision seems to need some clarification because it's causing confusion in lower courts. Before you go Greg I want to talk about Justice Clarence Thomas recusing himself today. Tell us about the case he recused from. So this is an appeal by John Eastman. He is the former lawyer to President Trump. He is somebody who is under indictment as part of the Georgia case alleging a criminal conspiracy to overturn the election. And this case stems from efforts by the House Committee investigating the January 6th attack to get his emails and he was in privilege. And Justice Thomas who heretofore has not recused from any 6th related case did recuse from the court's decision not to hear John Eastman's appeal. Now Justice Thomas did not give any explanation for it. It's by no means clear that he is having a change of heart. There are reasons why in this Eastman case maybe in his mind it's a little bit different. John Eastman is a former law clerk of Justice Thomas. These emails according to a report from Politico about year a ago included some back and forth in which Eastman says that in the course of the 2020 election fight that the best hope was to get something before Justice Thomas so the emails may well talk about Justice Thomas directly but in any event it is a noteworthy moment because Justice Thomas did recuse himself. There's been a lot of pressure on Justice Thomas to recuse himself especially in the January 6th cases but what you're saying is this may just be an isolated instance. It's possible. It's really again he didn't give an explanation. Some justices do give an explanation that's something that the court as a whole has been trying to do a little bit more but it's kind of justice by justice and he gave us no indication why so we're left to speculate and I certainly am not going to sit here say and I am now confident he's going to recuse for every January 6th case because that is probably not the case. Probably not. Thanks so much Greg. It's a busy term ahead. That's Bloomberg News Supreme Court reporter Greg Stor. I Mean, I wish I wish the trends Kelsey wasn't hurt because I feel like that takes a little bit away from the opening game But it is what it is If you look at it though over the last However, many years the Kansas City Chiefs have been on this run. They've had relatively pretty decent help Throughout their whole thing. I mean they left they lost the left tackle in the Super Bowl That's why they lost against, you know, Brady they couldn't protect Patrick Mahomes but it's it's getting to that time in their Era it where gets hard, you know being a guy that's been on one of those teams a dynasty. They're not there quite yet but uh You know, they're well on their way if they could stay healthy and you would know better than anyone about dynasty So when would you say they're there? How many would they have to win before you say they're a dynasty everyone knows it's three Okay, I don't know what's going on. Everyone keeps on talking like oh This is you you into no, it doesn't matter if you get to the Super Bowl We went to eight straight AFC championships or something like that. Like you got to win three to get to be in Cowboys previous Patriots Niners Steelers It's not two. It's not two So tell me I want to get into your Fox gig and transitioning to meeting that since we're on it It's a good topic because I'm just curious because one of the things I'm looking at is someone who's scouting Over -unders to bet and and you know who's gonna win the AFC and stuff like that The I Motivation shouldn't say the motivation. I mean, I think the motivation is there even if you win But is it difficult or how difficult is it after winning two like they've won? It's very difficult To get geared up every Sunday, you know people don't realize How hard it is once you go out win a Super Bowl Okay, now they have two that when you win that first one you become a target everyone circles you on the schedule You win another one now everyone circling now now Divisions and conferences are designing their teams to beat you. So it gets harder and harder and as an individual player You know Your motivation you have to pull what what's motivating you because natural human instinct you're like You know, we got this we're good and then you know something happens you have injuries here an injury They're a player doesn't sign back because no two teams are the same. It's a new team every year. So it's very hard mentally To keep it going, you know And you have and they have a leader in Patrick Mahomes that can do that We had Tom Brady Tom Brady was always always on he was like he was always motivated So that gives you hope for the Kansas City Chiefs because they have such a great player and Patrick Mahomes who's their leader You know their best player is is their quarterback is their leader and the way he is is huge. Do you think? the intensity to beat the Chiefs to throne the Chiefs is Similar to what you guys experience and I ask you from this standpoint and I hope you don't take offense to this But I feel like I feel like the Chiefs are not hated in any way I'd feel like no one dislikes Mahomes No one dislikes Andy Reid you guys and I think it was mainly because of your success But there were people who didn't like Tom for whatever reason there was the ridiculousness with the flake eight the stupidest thing ever people didn't like Belichick, maybe You guys I don't think we're like Completely beloved whereas KC seems like I don't know who maybe people are sick of Travis Kelsey a little bit Like our teams you think is amped up to beat the Chiefs as they were you guys I Think the games changed the player has changed Just as an overall, I mean we look at games nowadays you got guys over here You know dapping up helping guys back back when we were playing the Jets when I first got in the league Bart Scott was mother -effing Billy O 'Brien on the sideline guys were fighting before, you know, it's just it's kind of changed And it could be for good or could be for bad. That's for weather for everyone else to determine But and also, you know, the Kansas City Chiefs that the Patriots were on it for 20 years Okay, like when I got there they already had three Super Bowls and they were on a little drought, you know But they were still winning, you know, they went 7 16 and oh they you know 14 win seasons they were still putting out big winning seasons for a long a longer time and You know the Chiefs just haven't been there I'm so I'm sure the Chiefs keep on doing well that people are gonna start hating them too, you know, yeah. Yeah The I want to get into some other stuff about the Patriots and and Belichick and Brady and but let's talk about you going to Fox you did inside the NFL. I enjoyed you on there I wrote that a couple times for SI. Now. You're gonna be on the Fox NFL kickoff show. It's remarkable I don't know if you've seen it Maybe you just know it off the top of your head because you friends with all these people but it is remarkable how every patriot is in media now is on TV, you know, you've got the McCordy's Gronk is part of the Fox family. Everyone knows about the Brady situation McGinnis the TV Bruschi It's like if you're on you were part of our Patriot team good love winners. Yeah people love winners Yeah, and they hate them so, you know you get a little bit of both They're either gonna love your hate you but they're gonna watch you It's like you had no choice but to go into TV basically after after all it's it's I don't know it's uh, You know when you play for an organization like New England and You've had the success that we had over the years that we played, you know It opens up a lot of doors and it's plain and simple. That's that's really what it is The the sacrifice and the efforts that we put into our career helped us after our career and a lot of guys you know, they have that hard work mentality that still want to stay in the game, but may not want to be coaches and And that's what media is, you know, that's what I feel. You know, I get my football fix by Going into a pre -production meeting and I haven't done it with Mike Vick or Charles Woodson or Chris and Thomas or Peter Shrager But you get your football locker room kind of vibe when you do those like when I was on inside the NFL I'm sitting there talking with Phil Simms Patrick, uh, you know, Brandon Marshall Michael Irving, Ray Lewis, James Brown and you have these These meetings where you just get to sit and talk football It's before you go on the lights are shining but you sit and you're talking stories You're breaking football down with people that play football So, I think that's a huge probably reason about it and you know, it's not you know We're used to putting in these crazy hours 14 -hour days Seven days a week don't get this year family and media, you know, like you got to do your homework You got to you got to watch all the games, but you know, we can still have a life outside of it, you know These guys are going coach. I mean people always ask me. Why aren't you in coaching and I go You know, I did my time Like I put my my 12 13 14 hour days in and when I would leave work I would see coaches families in the parking lot Seeing the coaches before they would go to bed because they still had another three hours. I ain't doing that Yeah, you know and then if you go somewhere else where it's not like that Then I'm mentally all messed up because well, there's some people that are doing it, you know So it's just I like I'm happy or I'm mad. I'm excited to go out and entertain and talk my knowledge When you were playing and you're playing days towards the end of your career Did you think you would get into TV or did you not think about it while you were playing? I Didn't necessarily think I'd become an analyst and do what I'm doing right now I always enjoyed creating content You know whether it was our YouTube videos our Instagram videos and all the content we build on J around je11 You know that was booming with with the Patriot nation that would always support, you know I always I found a niche in that and and I enjoyed that process of creating content going in and sitting in a you know in a editing room and and Filming up all this stuff and thinking it's gonna be terrible and then cutting it down and then you know having all your other team Because there's a team of people, you know That put put the work in to to get this good content out and I enjoyed it So I didn't know it was gonna be to the extent of what I'm doing right now but I knew you know, I was comfortable in front of a camera and you know, I know I faced for radio, but Thank God I won a lot of games Had it and just tell me were were there other networks like in the running to get your services Was it just Fox like I'd end up at Fox why Fox? Tell me a little bit about joining I want to say any other names there were, you know There was another network that was involved and I sat down and I thought Fox would be perfect You know, I got a couple teammates there with Gronk Brady You know, I'm really excited to get to hang out with you know Charles Woodson and in talk football with Mike Vick and Chris Thompson Peter Schrager and you know Fox is like a If you know the story behind Fox, I mean they were created as This little small sport network with John Madden.

"You got a three point lead, 13 seconds left in the game. I'm like, hey, it's one thing if he leave a minute on the clock for Patrick Mahomes, hey, you left way too much time on the clock for mister patty mahomes. But you would think, hey, Patrick Mahomes can not score in 13 seconds. Then he did and it wasn't like buffalo had some crazy awful pass interference penalty or anything like that. No, Pat Mahomes just did his thing. He had two completions, two plays, 44 yards in ten seconds. There were 13 seconds on the clock. There were three seconds left when the 48 and when the chiefs lined up for their game winning field goal. 19 yard pass to tyreek hill, and then a 25 yard pass to Travis Kelce. And look, for that is why you save three timeouts for the end of the game so that you can throw the ball freely over the middle, not have to worry about trying to imagine if they threw up all the Travis Kelsey with three seconds left, had to run up and try to clock it. They wouldn't have worked. They would have had to throw a Hail Mary there. So that is a testament to the Kansas City's coaching staff and their discipline and organization and not needing to burn a time out earlier in the game. So look Casey tied it with a field goal at the end of the game. They got the ball first and over time. They got a touchdown, they won game over. So first of all, great win for Kansas City. I mean, they're probably going to win another Super Bowl. It's going to be I'm very excited. My prediction now is that we're going to get rams against Kansas City in the Super Bowl and that sounds wild and fun. Obviously though the way that Casey won this game and over time, getting the ball first, it was basically whoever got the ball first won the game. It led to a debate about the NFL overtime rules..

Chiefs vs. Chargers: Kansas City Defense Looking Weak Ahead of Sunday's Game

"All right folks will this next game that we've got Is going to be against our division rivals. The kansas talk Yeah so let's take a look at a couple of games for them. Their first game of the season was against the cleveland browns. That's who they played in the playoffs last year Let's see patrick. Mahomes put up over three hundred and thirty yards three touchdowns in that game Tyreek hill almost got two hundred yards. Goodness gracious On that game with a touchdown. And travis kelsey seventy six yards with two touchdowns so clearly we know who favor targets are guys from that game tyreek hill and travis kelsey They were pretty comparable as far as their stats go. Cleveland was able to put up a four hundred fifty seven yards. That's a big difference I think the big thing here is the rushing yards in this game in the next game. They they've put up very few rushing yards and they put up seventy two their week. One game against the browns. They put up sixty two week. Two against the ravens. So i'll and then the ravens put up to fifty and the browns put up one hundred fifty three so just looking at this and how close these games are this. Kansas city chiefs team is defense. Isn't what he was no. You can clearly see that. And i'm looking at these stance here. It looks like against baltimore. Game tyreek hill only got fourteen yards leagues. What happened here. So they've they've shut them down. While i think that's you know we put this in here to just show the fact that if we can lockdown kelsey and hill and just moderately. Stop the run. I think we're going to have a good chance and we just need to score touchdowns like you're gonna have to score thirty to beat these

Patrick mahomes okay but really quickly though i had a really good comeback but i was gonna say what am i george westinghouse because he created the the air brake system trains. That was a really big poll. But if you watch the show archer you might have gotten that reference Or believe you went back to explain all of that. Yeah was like you. it's a joke in archer. it's a joke. They would make like that in the show archer. Yeah i get it. It was. I'm rambling but i thought it was really funny and my dome so i thought other people. Should you know what people should spend just like four minutes inside my head so there you go. That's what you get when you're inside my dome taste every week. I appreciate the the slight peaks behind the curtain. I get yeah yeah and taste song by tiga see always has some every word has a correlation to something else you asked what. Mvp offense defense correct and it can't be patrick mahomes correct correct okay. That's great because offensively. I had paddock Offensively i if the chiefs are going to be taken to the next level. I kinda wanna say. It's going to be clyde edwards hilar- and hear me out. I'm the captain of running backs. Don't really matter. But i think going to be putting up insane counting stats this year. I think offensive line should be getting more of the credit because is completely revamped but with so many new guys the ovens align is going to be difficult to point to one of them so give it to clyde. I think is going to be used a lot more in the passing game. I think we're gonna see a lot more use it from him When it comes to getting passes thrown his way. I think he's gonna be very effective. I think that's his best trait. Also he's got a lot of touchdowns new offense align we're talking at some massive just bodies upfront. We're gonna see a lot more push going on especially in the red zone. I think we're gonna see a lot more touchdowns from clyde no longer. We see Four tops no longer. Will we see a fourth and one in a screen pass to blake beller. Travis kelsey going in china the ball to patrick and the like. We're just going gonna say okay. Let's just move. The defense align elect clyde walk in so all the county numbers are gonna be for clyde. So that's who..

"To chip him or block. Him god forbid for that running back and in the quarterback. I mean you've seen him tackle. Both you've seen that. He's amazing he is truly one of the best of all time and genetic free and he's gonna look great in gold jacket and i choose him number two overall because number one for me. Is patrick mahomes. He's an incredibly special talent. This just in burma say this. Just end i go with patrick. Mahomes number one overall and everybody can argue. That's what the list like. This is four. But that's my list. Tj want josh allen davante adams ten nine eight travis kelsey hop. Tom brady seven six five. Then derrick henry. Aaron rodgers aaron donald patrick mahomes number one for me as a solid list. And signing legitimately sorry not like the solid. We sometimes used as you know. I i consider the word solid and unsatisfactory adjective for excellent. But not but not as saying. This is solid list. You know this. But i tell you when when people say to me. Hey rich that was solid now when you do someone a solid and is much better than hey man that was solid solid to me is not. It's not an adjective. It is not a word for excellent. Why wouldn't say it's a good list. Just you know it's i dig your list again. Okay yeah i know what would you. What would you change i look. I don't know that in would put items over home. That may be the only place that i like some up but other than that i think you pretty much you hit in like lord. You put atoms above kelsey. I probably that's a tough one that when you get those two. I think i might have to go the volunteer over travis but by by the slightest margin would you put. Would you put rogers and mahomes over. Brady i would okay. Would you put Aaron donald above aaron rodgers. I believe that is okay Would you who was your number one. Is it mahomes. I think you have to have mahomes number one on this list. So yeah i think he did a great job with it. See that's solid. But i think you did a great job with it is much. Yeah now more complimentary salad. Listen i told you. I said using solid as a real compliment not the way we generally what you said. I appreciate that sort of caveat. I just want to let you know that. Then you did not say with all due respect and leading into it with all respect. That's a solid list is truly fighting words for me. Dig your list and Thank you. "Ten players being based on all that. Thank you for the musical accompaniment sir. Gets me in the mood number. Ten on my list is going to be tj. What i'm going to put the steeler right there. I'm going to say to tj That he deserves to be top ten. He's just going to be number ten on my list. And i would look to him being a defensive player of the year and being even higher than tenth on the list. These new to this list at the tenth overall out. Give him that. Thank you very much and then With aaron rodgers and tom brady mahomes in this list. I'm gonna put josh allen here again. This is for that. I mean what he did. Last year was incredible He was On one of my fantasy teams. It was an absolute pleasure and delight. I can only imagine what fans in western new york think and feel about him. And as i said last year he's coming for your soul he is coming for your soul and he when he rolls out of the pocket. He's like the man. Delorean quarterback is on a mission and he is the one and he is terrific but again we only saw a him once last year. Let's see what he can do this year. Now coming down to. Who is the best at your position. Because there's a couple of receivers. There's a handful of Of quarterbacks remaining and so i am going to say devante adams goes here number eight number eight overall and you know he makes the case that he's the best receiver in the league and you can absolutely believe that what i'm going to just make this part of the pecking order that he is the second best receiver in the top. Ten and he's the third best pass catcher. Because as we said after talking to travis kelsey when you call a tight end a pass catcher that means he can catch more and amass more yards than wide receivers which is what he did last year. And this is where. I'm putting travis kelsey seventh on the list on my top ten for the top one hundred players of twenty twenty one on pudding. Killa travel eighty seven number seven. Okay on this list. And as much as i'd love to hear mahomes is named before his on. Nfl network on saturday. I don't believe that's going to be the case. Even he pointed out that would be bananas. We'll put him right there at number seven and then number six again. I just think his abilities at this position makes him number. One and davante.

"Top ten players in the nfl as voted by their peers has been revealed in unsurprisingly. Patrick mahomes takes the top spot followed by aaron donald aaron rodgers derrick henry travis kelsey to round out the top five josh allen moved up seventy seven spots from last season to land at number ten. Okay you probably have noticed. There was one name. I did not mentioned in the top five because tom brady actually came in at number seven on the lip. Maxine brady have been tire. Yep yep the cliff is saying brady should add tire. I understand if you wanna stick. Aaron donald in there because arrand. Donald is a better defensive. Tackle than brady is a quarterback at this moment. However defensive tackles are so much less important than quarterbacks. It is impossible not to take that into consideration brady but if you wanna put donald ahead of get it. Ready should be third. Maybe fourth on this list.

Now, in about 3.5 hours, the game which promises history, the chief's looking to become the ninth team with back to back titles. The Bucks hoping to put 1/7 Super Bowl ring on Tom Brady's hand. I'm Scott Graham. Happy to be back with your four Super Bowl Sunday, and my co host is a man who won two Super Bowls back to back, including an M V P honor for Super Bowl 32. He's an NFL network in Westwood, one analyst, the Hall of Famer, and he's been with us each week on this program all season long. Well, Davis. Welcome aboard. Scott. Man, It is eyes exciting and getting ready for this big game. A man I'll tell you what. When you look at how this one is going to play out, everybody is focusing on the quarterback's rightfully so. But when you start looking at a couple of the individual matchups in this game, there is a lot that ends up coming into play. And one of the things that everybody's been focusing on all week is the fact that the chief's dinged up on the offensive line going with backups there against a really strong past Russian. It Defense for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That seems at least right now to be one that's playing at its peak. Is that the key matchup in your mind? Well, that is one of them. I mean, we look at the Bucks defense and we've seen what they looked like the last couple of weeks and listen. Todd Bowles, Their defensive coordinator, has really got them dialed in. They've gotten after, and Rogers drew Brees and, you know, I think this defense is going to be, you know, formidable when it comes to getting after Patrick Mahomes, but You know, he's such a great quarterback. He's such a guy that can get out of situations that you don't think he could get out off s. Oh, that's gonna be a challenge for this team as well. When you look at it, and from your perspective, especially, I mean a running back a hall of Fame running back and very rarely these days is anybody say, Well, the running game is going to be a really big part of this. It seems like that's becoming an antiquated idea. Can the running game for the chief's help in some way, take away some of the aggressiveness of the Tampa Bay defense? Yeah, I believe so, Scott, because you know all the focus of this game really is gonna be on the chief's weapons, right? You know, you got obviously Tyree Kill Travis Kelsey. Then you have the other guys out there to me, Cole Harmon. And then you have Clyde. That was the lair who last year was an El s. You had a phenomenal national championship game, and I think a game like this is going to bode well for him, because if you're tired of those, you can't double team everybody. Somebody's got to have one on ones. And if you're the bucks, you've got to put more people in coverage. So that's gonna leave a light box for Clyde Edwards. He layer not only running but the short passing game, and I think that Eric the enemy, and Anne Rie will find a way to make this young man have an impact in a game like this. On the other side. Everybody, of course, is focusing on Tom Brady. I mean, he got them here, and he is once again right in the middle of the possibility of winning a super books. 10th visited pressure absurd, absurd. When you look at this team, they've got a whole bunch of weapons as well. Is there one that you focus on the offensive side of the ball for Tampa Bay? That you think might have a bigger impact in this game than another? I do. I think it's actually Leonard for net and not necessarily in the running game. But little has been Really good and their passing game, And I think that kind of matchup between Leonard for Net and the linebacker Damian Will Wilson and Anthony Hitchens from the chief's, because when you start doing that thing where they played in week, 12 Barnett had a decent game, but Ronald Jones caught the ball in the flat and was able to have a long touchdown score from that ball that was thrown into the flat. So no one is talking about that. But I think that again, Hitchens and Wilson is gonna have to have a really good game and not again. It's not with him running with the football. He's been a threat as a receiver, which is something that his game is never had. So I think, you know, Of course. Tom Brady likes to get his backs involved in games like this member James White. He had a phenomenal Super Bowl. So I think later for now is gonna be a guy that's gonna have to have a huge impact. Last thing for this segment does the first meeting have any impact on what we're about to see in a few hours here or is that just research? Yeah, I think you could take some things. Most coaches look at the game and they kind of take The things that sort of worked, you know, everything goes. She kind of just you pick things of a game and say Okay, well, we have success against his team before. You know, we'll try to do it again this time, but maybe we're gonna disguise it a little differently, but run the same kind of plays. So, yeah, I think you there's things that each team can take from that meeting. But, you know, I think it's about who can make those adjustments and going into this game. I think ultimately it's going to be the team that comes out

"Something is going to start in one place. And get to this place. But how much there still bother your mind that is taking a short amount of time. Anthony and we got into this place on Tuesday before the Super Bowl. Well, The funny thing is I grew up watching. I grew up 15 minutes south. Of Fox Girl. I grew up watching that light play on Sunday and And being like why he's so cool. He's awesome. Never met him before. And then he jumps on board with one of the greatest prank ever that I could even think of. Whoa, Hold on a minute. 20. No. Oh, you've already done. I knew. I know Adam really well, and they became friends to hunting and stuff like that. Yeah, I know a guy that's gonna help me with this. He hired Matt Light, and now we've obviously become friends now, and it's one of those things like I never thought of football that I would do this to another football guy. But I guess he did. What is the row said about this whole thing because he was the prank er And he was a prank. You knew the pride girl and it's gotten to this point. What is he? What is, he said about this, Anthony? E. I think he was hoping that I'd pick door number two, obviously, but no, I mean, he he is such a generous person that you know, I think I'm pretty sure he has done this in the past with his own truck. And for him, Tonto know that where my heart is and for me to be Kind of accepting and not even really fight back like after I talked to him. I called in the media after I heard about what happened, and I'm like Well, how can I help now that I'm already on board? How can we get the word out? How many I wanted? You know, I want to make this the biggest charity event ever. Like I'm all onboard and for him to know that that I would be like that. It's just a great feeling, especially coming from someone that you grew up watching. And or admiring to the hunting and what he stands for the human being. Just a great great feeling to know that I'm close enough to him where he could do something like this today. Anthony Sherman, Chiefs fullback. But it's also pretty damn remarkable. So how does this feel? It's awesome. I mean, to see to see the number of people that have tweeted and You know, kind of Added me on the back and for me to be a part of something that's gonna be so great. I'm just overwhelmed. I'm blessed to be able to be a part of this and into experience the You know the positive light that comes on all of this and And the money that we can do with different stuff that eat three foundation does And just to be know that you know, I've contributed in such a big way, just by giving off scent, something that materialistic and And they do something so good with it is it's a good feeling right now. What have you teammates that about this? Because there is this game you guys gotta prepare for against Tom Brady in Tampa Bay, but You're such a close knit team. What is your teammates that about this, Anthony? They've all said the exact same thing and don't don't mess without him again. But a lot of us guys heard trying to Chelsea Travis Kelsey said. You know, I want to help and I want to be a part of it. So he's going to give a signed jersey away from for anyone that donate $2500 of chances to win the truck. But also you get, you know you're gonna win a Travis Kelsey signed Jersey and he's just, You know, Pat's gonna, You know, he's thinking about doing some and tyrant and some of the big name guys air trying to jump on board now and just, you know, this is how we are as a team like Yes, Someone might be going through a prank. But let me help or another way. Let me add on to it and then make it even worse for them. Don't you see how much money they can if you get for their vehicle and also some jersey All right, let me turn you loose and again, Man, Sharman remarkable thing that went from 12,000 Oreos to a remarkable cause. But you say out loud man, It's crazy. Do you retaliate? That's the big question. Do you come back at LaRoche? No, no, Never get in That light. Never know. I'm not touching either one of those, too, But the other people, I'll say this on the air. The other people that have been on board they will be some thought that behind what what's going to happen? Oh, my goodness. Well, that little prank has led to something wonderful. Go on, SERM fights for freedom That or to win his truck that John is gonna help support combat warriors and also the cans. "I think it's a goat battles just like the quarter bags got nothing but major respect for Travis Calc Brooks. Career has been unbelievable. Unbelievable. Kelsey and Gronk, Mahomes Brady. So money marquee matchups in this Super Bowl for which we are just days away. As we know, however, this is no ordinary Super Bowl Week. Time for straight talk brought to buy straight talk. Wireless media. It's being done over. Zoom chiefs aren't even in town yet. And as we learned on Wednesday, the Chiefs may have dodged a bullet this week. We know backup center Daniel Kilgore landed on the covert list through contact. Tracing. Turns out he was in the chair, getting his hair done. When the Chiefs barber got his results back. He had tested positive ESPN insider Adam Schefter. The Chiefs were getting haircuts on Sunday in the facility with the barber that they had chosen who have been tested the five previous days and tested negative. But then his point of care test came back that day as he was going through apartments as he was halfway through the haircut of Daniel Kilgore, and essentially, he got pulled out of the facility because he tested positive. Now here's the kicker to the whole story. There were 20 players and employees, including Patrick Mahomes. Were lined up to get appointments with this hair cutter that day, so there are a close contacts in the covert world and there are close calls in the covert world. And Patrick Mahomes never got the chance to sit down with the hair cutter who tested positive that day, but there were a line of players and employees. Within the chief's organization who literally had 15 minute time slots to sit down with that hair cutter. That particular day. Kilgore was deemed a close contact anyway, so we just had the barber finish his hair chiefs looking for back to back titles. We know about tight and Travis Kelsey and Thursday on ESPN daily, the story of the Kelsey Brothers and how big brother Jason Pushed little brother Travis to be better along every step of their careers. ESPN DAILY Subscribe Wherever you get your podcasts Travis Kelsey, one of the many weapons the Chiefs have on offense, Patrick Mahomes at the helm of that offense, and they could put up points in a hurry. As for Kansas City's defense, they'll be looking to stop. Tom Brady. ESPN is Diana Russini. They're going to do everything they can do to disguise the coverage is because they're gonna try toe confuse Tom Brady. They're also gonna be applying pressure on a guy who's got some of the best pocket presence that any of the quarterback in the league take a listen to Frank Clark, though, describe why it's so hard. To take down Brady. You got these shows. Have you ever seen Tom Brady shoulders when he had that pocket? Come on, man. You're gonna put the film us for this. Y'all got attached to film me this video to the shoulders crazy sometime. I ain't got nothing against nobody, you know of a 43 year old age range around those age man should be able to move his shoulders like that is quite amazing. You're not escape artist, but it's like Man. He just good. Honestly, sometimes you just have to show I watch. I think this time watching the best you watch Tom Brady. Sometimes in that pocket, man. You can't tell the difference. It was a full minute talking about Tom Brady's shoulders. You know, Usually we're talking about his face his hair, his fashion. But, Michael, apparently you gotta watch out for that Brady ship me out there. And he's seemingly carrying the Buccaneers on those shoulders Teammate Levante David even saying that after they won the NFC Championship, there was another teammate with tears in his eyes over heading to the Super Bowl. Brady told him Stop crying. We're not done yet. Today to win over the Chiefs to cry those happy tears this weekend straight talk wireless, no contract, no compromise. "In a player's first four seasons, finding Kelsey wide open and it's human pyrotechnics dressed in red, white and gold. This is after hours with Amy Lawrence and one of his favorite targets all year Travis Kelsey, who has made himself the best, most formidable tight end in the NFL, though I know some of you would argue Darren Waller is in that space. Certainly you can put Chelsea in the same realm is Rob Gronkowski at his peak drunk, of course, on the other sideline. As the Super Bowl approaches its after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio Mitch Hold us with the call on the chief's radio network. Here is your Travis Kelsey. Nerd alert Kelsey past drunk for most receiving yards by a tight end in a single season in NFL history, including the playoffs. On Lee. Those two guys have ever gone over 1500 receiving yards in a single campaign. Kelsey now has the most yards for a tight end in one season in NFL history, which is phenomenal. Of course, there's still one game left to go. No grog was doing some of the media rounds of I haven't heard from Kelsey actually will be fun to talkto her to hear from Kelsey whenever he does some of his Media interviews but drunk was talking about the impact that Kelsey has had on the NFL. At that position, he has helped transform the tight end position. He has helped put the tight end position on the map, and also just, you know, Speaking of contract, Why's he has helped the position the title position? Get paid, get paid the way that they deserve to get paid. It always is. One of those elements when you have AH, guy in a particular position who has a record season in the case of Kelsey, But drunk was also in that space, too, And and it kind of raises the pay grade for the entire position, or at least the guys who were at the top, Obviously not the the entire gamut of Of tight ends. But think about George Kittel, and I just remember going back to Super Bowl 54 The fact that he was standing on the sidelines toward the end of the game morose and course the Chiefs had rallied from double figures down in the fourth quarter to beat the Niners. And he's saying this is not gonna be the last of me. This game is going to see me again. I'm going to get back here. On and he's a great personality at that position, so there are some really talented tight ends there. Different body types. Some of them are better at one skill over another on yet, man. That position has changed so much over the past decade, we've seen tight ends become more and more feature parts of offenses because of The way that these guys have played the position, and it always blows me away that Travis Kelsey, a man of his size a dude that is that large, confined open space. Patrick Mahomes calls Travis Kelsey a giraffe. So his spirit animal, this is what happens when you do Media day and the questions are fast and furious Patron Mahomes says that Travis Kelsey Spirit Animal is a giraffe. And that Mahomes, according to Kelsey, identifies the most with a frog. Like Kermit the Frog here. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS Sports Radio already given you one earn alert on Travis Kelsey. But during the regular season alone, 1400 receiving yards over 100 catches and 11 touchdowns. He is a weapon, and he's the security blanket from homes whenever Mahomes needs to move the chains or needs a guy to make a catch. It seems like healthy is always available. As for Gronk, of course, retired and came back to play with Tom Brady and the Buccaneers, he has been asked the same question is Tom Brady to compare the two coaches Bill Bella Check and Bruce Arians? They both definitely have their own persona their own approaches to the to the way you know, media is how you know the atmosphere of the program. But I mean, there's 32 clubs in the league All 32 are always going to be different. There may be some similar some, you know, totally different. I would say that these two, you know, are kind of, you know totally different aspects of, you know, approach to the media and everything but You know, I've learned, you know, I'll never take anything away from my nine years there. I've learned so much under that program. I learned that way, and I am actually very grateful that I've learned that way. There's many aspects, you know, learning. Uh, you know, through through that organizations, lessons that you know that we're taught to me that I still use to this day that I applied to this day And then, uh, just coming here is complete. 1 80 for sure. Totally different. I mean, I feel like You know, the biggest difference is is just, you know, be having the freedom of just being yourself here in this organization. That's one thing that players will tell you about Bruce Arians. He treats you like men. He doesn't pull any punches. Hey, will talk to you straight up. He doesn't expect you to read between the lines. But at the same time he allows you have a personality to be who you are, and guys enjoy playing for him because there's less of a controlling type of an approach to the locker room. Now we know the Bill Belichick is all about control. He's About the details in the minutia, but something that Rob Gronkowski said they're on Sirius. XM NFL radio really resonated with me. My previous network and the network I worked for right now. Could it be? Any more different in terms of the way that they are managed and in terms of the philosophy for the shows that are on the air. And as much as I have thrived here at CBS Sports Radio, and I say it all the time. It's the best career move I've ever made. I've never had better bosses than the bosses. I've worked for it. CBS.

"But if Rogers at least knew That no matter what we're in four down territory, maybe he's more inclined to tuck it and run and risk getting caught from behind and falling at the two of the three and then you know you going forward from the two of the three. You're not going forward from the eight they weren't close. You're in those three plays, nor where they know where it s so you you down, drawn up because this is crunch time. This is two minutes less than two minutes to go. I said, you're calling your best plays so you probably have two was more they had they had the two minute warning. Whatever. Whatever. Yes, but that's important. It's important. You're in the two minutes situation s O on And you know this, Miss may be your last possession. You're in a tight red zone. Doesn't matter when the circumstances you know, you gotta score. You're calling your best tight red zone play calls, and most teams have two, Maybe three. You know, having four that zah different in having practiced for So that you know that they're all going toe. You know, I guess be open and work. That's something that's that's completely different now. If it's the Kansas City Chiefs, I think they have, like, eight. You know those tight red zone places. Trouble's back to back. We saw that liberty. You're right. BTU someone You're joking, but you're right. That's that. The underhand shovel. That's the last touchdown. The Travis Kelsey It was just I mean, that was stealing. I mean, he was standing wide open. By the way, Tyree kills wide open to that side of you. So so, I mean, Maybe the maybe the can. City chiefs have more than three or four options down there. But the brave A Packers clearly didn't And I think that that's ultimately would inform Matt the floors decision. He didn't feel like he had the play to get a yards on the in the red Zone, and so he ended up kicking a field goal. And then it came down to It's a time time out game right in which they had in their favor. Time and the stoppage with the two minute agreed. But you got you can't let Brady get the first down. That's right. You can't And, more importantly, the review that gave them the first down on the false start, which was an intentional clearly intentional. Encroachment. They jumped offsides to give the bucks the first down so they could use the you know, use that use their three timeouts plus mark two minute morning. It's smart, but if I'm the Buccaneers and Orrin Bruce areas, why not decline it, you know being decline it. So it's now second two supposed to first down and 10, and now now they have to use the time out. So It is what it is, Look, ultimately, the point. Ultimately, it worked out for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and it didn't for the for the for the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers has got to live with this BT because I mean, I was you think about all the chances he's had. And you know, last year they just got blitzed by the San Francisco 40 Niners. They're run defense was inept. To the 40 Niners this year, they had a chance to win. They intercepted Tom Brady three times in the second half and got six points and got nothing from its six points. And the reason is because Tampa's defense was elite right shot. Barrett just got after him on all those turnovers, he sacks and knocked him out of Position, and ultimately, there was no harm on the Tom Brady turnovers, whereas the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and this has been the case really all postseason really all season long for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. If they turn you over there scoring points. That's that's the difference. The sudden change for Tampa Work produced points. The sudden change for Green Bay on Lee produced six. This is a crusher for him. This is a crusher for the way he's perceived, rightly or wrongly. What do you know? One in four and four Street and four? Yep, one of which was a 12 point lead. They coughed up against Seattle going, you know, going back years. It's is a bitter pill for him and You know the one thing when you talk about how the Packers probably have three or four plays in the tight red and somebody like Kansas City probably has, like seven or eight. I don't dispute that on probably and probably multiple variations of the seven or so it's really like 14 or 20. That's why, because you can put Travis Kelsey it one slot and I've been another. It's He's in the other spot, and it's just mix and match players correct. So while they had at a bund or while they have an abundance of options Kansas City. They also have an abundance of weaponry, which is what Aaron Rodgers does not. That's which I I listen. I know Davante Adams is great. I know scantly made plays. He got behind people, and that's what he does. When he gets behind you provided he catches the football, which, for the most part, he does a scorned. He's gonna house it because he runs like the wind, but and they've got a you know a tight end of scores touchdowns, but he's not dynamic telling you, they don't you know Yeah, but here's the thing If there's another if there's another guy out there that forces you to really, really alter how you attack the Packers offense just from the eight year old line during that three play sequence. You know, I'm not talking about that. Not talk about the cake. The three plays prior. There's probably somebody who's wide open. Yeah, and Rogers head some, which goes back to been threatening love in the first round, and then not traffic, a wide receiver the entire draft. That's right, not even around five. So here's the thing. Here's the thing with that is because when you don't So when you have Pat Mahomes has, I think great chemistry, Great trust, and at least three of his past guessers catchers, at least three. It's like all right, if I gotta throw this Through two windows. I know you're going to come through and find it right? We saw this actually, the one that he threw to Travis Kelsey. Through it. Like Travis. Kelsey wasn't even clear. The defender on the ball came out of his hand and travel. Kelsi goes down and snags it. That was a great party. It was a great throw is a great catch. But he had faith. He had faith that is widening. His tight end. Last wide receiver was gonna be in the right spot. So what happens, is it Pat Mahomes doesn't have to get comfortable in the situation going toe. One guy. It was abundantly clear that Aaron Rodgers on Lee wanted to go to Davante Adams. He was I mean, the one that we're talking about. He should have run on third down, do it across his body in the double coverage to who? Davante Adams. So Yes, I hear what you're saying. And we said this is the beginning of the season when they drafted Jordan Love you know you You missed out on opportunities, and then people will counter and say Yeah, but he won the m v p. He didn't meet any. He didn't need any extra help. The problem is, he didn't have anyone else he trusted in those tight critical moments. Another Davante Adams, Unlike Pat Mahomes or even Tom Brady, who trust everybody, even Josh out that I think has more trust with in terms of there's no, they're amount of players..

So those who are quote purists, and I guess I'm one of them. Hank was the champ, The pure champ. Hey, quickly on the Super Bowl. Fields never had before is the 55th Super Bowl. This is luck would have it. He's going up against 25 year old Patrick Mahomes. This Mahomes is really something. Some Chi even know Brady isn't home, and he's the intense Super Bowl and well, here's a little Brady Brady goes for the deep shot 60. Scotty Miller. Oh, my God. Packers really blew that game is, you know Michael? I mean, they gave up that touchdown late in the first half. And then that questionable field goal. We'll talk about that with Warner Wolf. It's 7 35. As you know, Michael really weird going for the field goal down by eight points with two minutes to go. This coach is getting roasted. And I'm sure that really bothered you. Is a head scratcher as I was watching it one. That's not the play I would have made. No, that's not the play. I would have called for a sacrifice, but or, uh, Or I would've pulled my goalie. What are the other? Well, I do have to say it was a very dark day in the real household up in Boston because we're all from Buffalo, where they were rooting for the bills who lost close to the other team. All right. "Good man feels he can play the game before the game. No, but we got two weeks to get this thing right way. No chance in hell of a team and They're playing in their own stadium where they're most comfortable, and we're gonna have to go out there and, you know, put it all on the line. Just like you did tonight, Travis. Thank you know about the scandal. This one for you, then. Travis Kelsey 13 catches, tying a single game playoff record by a tight end nine career touchdown catches in the playoffs, second, most by tight end in NFL history. Rob Gronkowski as a dozen chiefs advancing to the Super Bowl bills come up short. They were playing in the conference championship for the first time since 1993 Josh Allen, accounting for 375 total yards, including 287 passing But he and the bills come up short, one knit hats off to them. That's a heck of a team. That neck of the game plan going into it the next night and execute always should have performed well, not for for this team, and you're going against the reigning Super Bowl champs, where 15 and one and the number one seed arrowheads, and you don't have your a game. You're not gonna win the game and you know That's what it was just a couple of students early on trying to press I think in second half kind of got things going a little bit better. But our red zone efficiency no sudden for field goals when you ask for touchdowns against these guys, and it's it's basically it. And as for the season as a whole changes every every game situation that you're in. Yeah, but you know, so it's not could be fun watching over. That's not fun. Fallen. Being short Super Bowl. I want T matter when one team had to lose and that Z gist of it good enough to win tonight And it's gonna feel us when I got no doubt in my mind that way we'll be back. Now, This is a team that fought hard to the end that loves each other. And you know, we're still young, and we're only gonna get better. And that Z one Take wake up from this And you know where the clothes you know, and another results from this tonight, but I'm super proud of our team years entire season. We've bonded together and that is a tough adjustment this year with all the virus and the testing and separating and being able to go where teammates houses and just a sacrifice that it took this year. I'm super proud of our team, our staff our organization for that matter and making this thing work and making this thing going..

"Of 6.5 the wolf chief rally from down nine to win by a couple of touchdowns. 38 24, the final in the A F. C championship. 14th defending Super Bowl champ to return to the Super Bowl that trying to become the first repeat champ since the Patriots did it. In 2004 for Kansas City fourth Super Bowl appearance. Largest margin of victory since week. Eight. Patrick Mahomes when the Chiefs get to the Super Bowl will surpass Russell Wilson as the youngest quarterback to start multiple Super Bowls. Patrick Mahoney's of the age of 25 going back. Yeah, I mean the Super Bowls, a Super Bowl being able to go up against one, the one of the greatest not the greatest quarterback of all time. It is 150th Super Bowl. I mean, it's gonna be a great experience for me. I mean to go out there and get the have a chance to repeat and get to do it against the best. I mean it zapping special and I'm excited for the opportunity, and I took my home's four and one in his postseason career when he's down by a couple of scores. His coach, Andy Reid. Well, listen, you guys were saying grow right in front of you here, So he's a home grown right here and Kansas City for the National Football League. Part of it, and I think you see it. You're seeing the steps that he's taken, and I said there and I'm I'm the old guy that scene a couple quarters, pretty good quarterbacks and I just keep going. This guy seems amazed me a little bit more every game. So, um, I'm proud of the way he handles that. Most of all, though he doesn't You know, you guys aren't writing stories of this guy's got a big head this and that, you know, he's showing people up, and now he's about the team and he's all in. "He is just racking up the stats. It is prodigious what he's doing, and this is why everything has worked so well for Casey. Then you toss in the creativity of Andy Reid. And he's always been creative, and he's always been likable. Just even that snippet in the Lamar Hunt Trophy presentation gives you an indicator as to why guys love playing for me is a great teacher. He's innovative and this whole mix just works. And there's a reason why they got a chance to win their second straight Super Bowl. Your points right on. I mean, the Chiefs have a ton of pieces, and they're all complimentary. But it's the end of the day is surrounded in the centerpiece in the epicenter is one guy and that's Patrick Holmes. He is the engine that makes this thing go. And you could argue that Travis Kelsey, not just one of the best tight, tight end receivers in the game, one of the best white receiving players in any position in the entire NFL game, Tyree kill explosive and You know, you called it like he's like watching a video game. He just makes moves and people miss. That is remarkable. But I just go back to Patrick Mahomes and what he's able to do. And you look at that makeshift offensive line that they had tonight. And it was a bunch of mist mismatch pieces all over the place moving, you know, musical chairs and nothing fazes them, and they just get it done and Lot of credit to the entire coaching staff. You know, Eric, the enemy. The offense. Squire has done a great job with this unit under the leadership of of Andy Reid, and he go to the other side of the ball. Steve Spagnola. He is that his Brian table who's often square for the bills. He has his number because that's two games this year, and the defense is dominating and Josh Alan, and that offense, Stefan Diggs never got it going on, you know, had opportunities got in the Red zone couldn't convert the touchdowns. Big difference in this game. So Patrick Holmes is so much fun to watch and keep him healthy. This chief team is gonna be in a lot of these situations and a lot of opportunities to playing Super Bowl, Tony, we get two weeks.

"Two minutes away from the chief's back in the Super Bowl. 38 24 Kansas City over Buffalo. Patrick Mahomes. Masterful. 325 yards, three touchdowns, toe lead Casey on it. He's a great player, and he has great players around him. Travis Kelsey had a huge night. Tyree Kill was came up Big You know just what a cast. What is the point cast, but it all starts with Patrick Jones. Homes in victory formation takes any Buffalo can not stop the clock. And the homes is urging the fans that are in attendance here in Arrowhead to get on their feet, and they do. No, it's not a sea of red. It's like a pond. But it's allowed palm all things considered. I mean, where this season started with covert pandemic, and then the fact that the NFL on its players coaches have gotten through. We're gonna have a Super Bowl two weeks pretty amazing, remarkable. The homes under center. Takes me We're down to a minute 14 left. And now the bills. Exchanging embraces along the sideline. Their season will come to an end. What a breakthrough year It was for Buffalo 13 and three in the regular season one a couple of playoff games, but they're year ends in Kansas City for Andy Reid. A guy that was oh, so close with Philadelphia now. Everything is clicking his creativity all the right pieces in place in Kansas City. His team just looks like a juggernaut 14 and two on the season. They're down the homes takes a knee and that is it. The Chiefs are going back to the Super Bowl. The road to repeat for Kansas City will run through Tampa. The matchup is set. For Super Bowl 55. "Thank you to the basement, doctor basement dr dot com and we're live on there. So let me start by saying if we had funeral music, you could play that, but no need for all of that, I guess, but Sincere condolences for your Browns. Um, you guys could have won that game. I really feel like it was never really out of reach. Um And I don't know now in the aftermath that you bring to my attention that I don't follow it. Obviously, as close as you being a Browns fan, Josh, But with Travis Kelsey trying to say you guys are headhunters, I'm I think that's terrible, especially given the one no call of targeting that. The where you guys ended up being separated from the ball at the goal line it rolls through, and then it's a touchback and You know, you end up having to give up the ball. It's a little different in the NFL. It's not your traditional targeting, but that it would have been a personal foul. Leading with the crown of the helmet is what it should have been right. And it wasn't called, and it's not reviewable. So okay, that's did they change that to reviewable? They should absolutely change it to reviewable just like they do in college for the targeting. They review all the targeting, right just to make sure. Well, if it's detected on a replay, then, eh? You know, it should have to be looked at. You know what I mean? Like, and that shouldn't have to cost you. Ah. A time out or whatever. If you're the rising coach, so that if it doesn't come out is that was that was the killer right there. That was a 10 point swing. They go down and get a cheap field goal before halftime and You know, I just it I'm happy that it was such a great season. Was a fantastic year better than I could have imagined for the Browns. But it doesn't make it the hurt and staying, especially when it's right there When you're a fingernail length away from it, you feel But if you can't stop, you know Chad Henny, who's like 50 years old. And you know he's been on. I don't know how many football teams he's played for. I know he was a quarterback for the Dolphins, For God's sakes. At one point you can't stop Chad Henny on 3rd and 14. Until he gets 13.5 yards, and then they get the first out on the fourth. Down E mean the defense kind of stunk all year, and they lost by the greatest weakness all year, which was their inability to stop people on defense. So But, you know, hopefully you get back. But you never know. You never know. I gotta be honest. When I saw you post that. Hey, I'm happy We had a good year. No matter what happens, it was, you know, I think before the game or whatever, and you know we had this away. I was like, Okay, that's before the game. Let's see how he is after the game, so I gotta be honest, I'm a little bit Take him back that you're continuing to pretty much hold that point of view and just simply because you guys haven't been there in so long, and it was so close. I mean on. We talk about this all the time. I don't know whether as a Browns fan, you would have liked it for it to have been this close or you would like to have lost, you know, 42 tow three or whatever. It's like it's almost harder. When you're right there, and you could have one. I didn't. I don't want to know I I didn't want to be blown out and embarrassed. We showed that we belong. We showed that we belong. We showed that we are one of the better teams in the NFL. Will you show you belonged after you know, owning the Steelers in Pittsburgh? Well, yeah, we showed them what I'm saying. People go That was Pittsburgh was on the decline, and we'll see what happens when they played can see. It's gonna be a nightmare. Well, even before Patrick Mahoney's went out, we were stopping them two field goals for the most part, so I'm telling you, I'm proud. The effort, and it's there. Just missing a couple pieces, especially on defense. And I thought that was Kevin. Stuffy in skis. Worst game is as a coach, his His play calling. He panicked and abandoned the runway too early when they were down 13 3. He was not good. He was actually awful when it came to challenge flat. One challenge Where you guys lost it lost it. In the second half. Where you know, we all know how important time outs are especially down the stretch. And you knew this one was going to be like this, but, yeah, for that challenge. I was like, who told him to challenge that They had time to look at it upstairs before it gets the and they had all the angle. They had very clear angles that that ball never touched. The ground challenged play earlier in the game. That clearly wasn't a catch, but he didn't. He didn't challenge them. So And then Yeah, just wide baker. Call that second time out, by the way, And in that, I mean is no play car. Yeah, I mean, he said it was a miscommunication. You know, you don't have those air The thing, those little teeny things that cause you to lose, you know what I mean? There's little nuances. So it was so it was a great year, though, but yeah, it's stinks, but I don't know why tight and Travis Kelsey is trying to say what he is saying. I don't see what the head the head hunter. I'm sorry. I don't see that. Now. Look, I got no skin in the game. I'm not a Browns fan, but I was watching that and you're telling me he's putting that is it on socials? I'm guessing right like it's always the game, he said. He said the Browns were headhunting. I didn't I didn't see that. I didn't see it at all. And Myles Garrett is denying that And of course, watch the play. Just watch the play. It was nothing dirty about it..

"The locker room, trying to sell it to the doctors that he's okay but It'll be interesting to see what that evaluation is. 20 years. A shotgun snap. Quick throw is handed down in the line of scrimmage hit on the play by Vincent Taylor on the defensive line for the Browns. So it's an incomplete pass. The ball stays at the Browns, 20 and the Chiefs now will have a third down and six is Chad. Henny comes in for the injured Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs leading 19 to 13th quarter clock. Is it 5 12 right now? Wanted him. He's a guy that's been around for a long time He's in his 13th season, He started a number of football games in the NFL. It's just he's been standing around for a while. And you mentioned the fact that he played in week 17 when a number of the starters rested, so he's had some recent playing time and experience. It's just trying to get this done. And when called upon in the playoffs start in six from the 20th, Cleveland quick throw down the middle. It's caught in stride. Running on a shallow cross. The 15 by Kelsey got the ball on his chest, held it against that, eight and seven on the front of his jersey. But Short by a yard got to the 15 caught the ball. The hash. It's fourth down and one and the chief will send their field goal unit out onto the field. Well, when Travis Kelsey caught this ball, he was writing the first down marker, and he tried making a defender Miss. So we actually went backwards. What? When he went backwards, he was tackled sort of the sticks. That's where they've marked it So now Chiefs have decided Tonto go for this field goal attempt 33 yards by Harrison Bucker, who has missed two at this end..

NFL flexes Washington-Panthers to keep intrigue in Cowboys-Eagles

"Let's start with. The panthers and washington got moved to four zero five because they do not want the philadelphia eagles and the dallas cowboys to know that they've been eliminated if washington wins. They want the eagles and cowboys to still believe that. There's a chance dominated a chance during that game. So what do you got for. Washington carolina while for fantasy purposes It's well we're going to have to see who washington's quarterback is this week although rate before we got on on the podcasts. Here there was a situation involving dwayne haskins. Where their post on social media of of haskins Getting swag on at a at a strip club without a mask on look believe me. I know that there are Those are establishments where clothing is optional. but in the nfl masks are not right now. So washington is not going to be very happy about dwayne haskins. I think it was Tom pal sarab. Nfl network reporting that the team is handling that internally not happy. I'm sure. I think they want alex smith back this week. Anyway against carolina that would raise the ceiling of this offense. I'm still not one hundred percent. I as a matter of fact. I'm not confident at all antonio gibson playing this game turf toe is very painful so that should mean a big role for jd. Mckissic once again had a huge fantasy game last week against seattle. It was nice to see terri mclaren. Come alive in that game. A little bit with dwayne haskins at quarterback too good matchup against carolina. I would use him as a wide receiver. Three and over last month of the season only two tight end. Travis kelsey and darren waller have been targeted more have caught more passes and scored more fantasy points than logan thomas. He is a tight end. One now against the carolina panthers and i think everything would look better for washington if alex smith can play quarterback.

Bill Barnwell on Bears versus Packers

"Watching bears and packers and aaron rodgers to the surprise of literally. Nobody just decimated the bears and mitch trubisky forty one to twenty five so i wanna turn this conversation to the horse race. The mvp conversation because there really hasn't been a wire-to-wire front runner. This whole time. We've seen the pendulum kind of swing. Russell wilson kyle murray. Was there for hot. Second mahomes obviously and aaron rodgers who remains squarely in the thick of it after an off season full of drama around jordan. Love being drafted at quarterback and yet there is aaron rodgers just dominating again robert tanya and guys at touchdown to robert tanya made aaron rodgers the eleventh. Qb in nfl. History to pass for more than fifty thousand yards the second-fastest so where are you on. The whole rogers ram vp. Okay so i. I'm inclined to pick. Patrick mahomes by choice right now. And i think the only thing separating those two with russell wilson third is that one disastrous game. Rogers had against the bucks earlier this season. And i think if you're going to make a case for rodgers. Mvp to start with the idea that he's doing more with less and mahomes has to work with. And wilson has to work with the homes of course has a dominant group of receivers with Terry travis kelsey leading the way. Russell wilson has decay metcalf and tyler lockett and we talked about this before the season. Rogers has devante adams and a lot of question marks. Rogers has injuries and opt-outs affecting his receiving corps from week to week and on top of that. The guys who are extra showing up are posting the second highest drop rate for any quarterback in the league and yet when you put rodgers back there even against a very good defense which the bears are. There are stretches this year. He looks absolutely untouchable. The bears had no answers for him on sunday night. So the other

NFL Insider Dan Graziano Breaks Down Week 11

"Dan graziano it is eleven fifty eight. Pm eastern so. Thank you very much man for staying up late behind. After that game. I go right to sleep. That was exciting. Dan graziano is an espn nfl insider. And he will get to sleep soon. We promise fired for game like that. Yeah me too i mean. Let's get into this right off the top here the chiefs. Just beat the raiders. Thirty five to thirty one. They beat the team who is beating kansas city. This season dan back in week. Five about a million years ago. So were you watching for in this rematch tonight. Well to see if they can do it again right. I mean that sounds simple. But like i didn't think their victory over kansas city was a fluke because it seemed like they had kind of a formula that they went out and they stuck to. They didn't win but a certainly could have. And i think that's that's significant because they know that's the team that is in their way in their division. Obviously they're on top of the conference in the league as super bowl champion. So you see the raiders. Draft a running back in the first round last year. That can help them. Control the clock and keep mahomes on the sideline like they did in the first game. They played they draft the speedy wide receiver this year in the first round. That can stress their quarterbacks. I mean they're thinking about the chiefs all the time. They're certainly not on that level at this point as the records indicate but they've constructed a team that can play in a way that threatens the chiefs and it might be able to beat them. So they're not as different as you might inclined to think yet and i have to admit like the difference between pat mahomes and derek carr felt smaller than i ever realized it would tonight. What did you see from these two quarterbacks total commanded of the offense which has not always been him. And certainly since gruden's been there. We've seen a lot more ups and downs. Where he looked like he was a little bit. Lost a little bit uncertain But this is years three with gruden and when gruden got there he talked about competent car up and making sure that car believed he was the guy. So that when you know. When ben came together around him he would be the guy that was in total control of things. And and it seems to be coming to fruition. What he's got. He's got people to throw to nelson agholor like out of nowhere as having a career renaissance in las vegas. He's got two very running back. Got a great offensive line. And i think you know he's playing with a lot of confidence as you would expect him to give all those things now. I think he's taken a big job this year in terms of where. He ranks in terms of the quarterbacks. We feel confident about what we watched the did feel like gruden kinda new like no. It's sunday night football. Let's give the people something that they'll enjoy. What did you most enjoy from. Hearing those play called why. I our love to know what the purple walrus was and i mean i think there are some vegas ones like he dropped. The sammy davis in there at one point and then and then it sounded like they've been paying very close attention to the nba off-season because there are a number of james harden and those who among nfl coaches knows how to produce primetime football. Better than jon gruden right. I mean he did it for for a decade or so for us in terms of operating in that sphere. So maybe i don't know maybe maybe he feels like a showman or maybe they're just having a lot of fun in their in their offensive meetings. They sound like all. The time does not all watching every week but was it so as showmanship goes that lasts. Drive man lake travis. Kelsey had some great moments in this game but that catch at the end mahomes calling him the best tight end in the league game. What did you see from travis kelsey tonight yeah domination. This is this. is you talk about reliability. I mean the the quarterback knows he's going to be where he's supposed to be. He knows he's almost certainly going to be open. He know he's going to catch the ball like it's total complete confidence in a guy in a key spot third down. A guy had throw to the end zone in the final minute. I mean he is the best tight end in the league. I don't think it's even close especially when you know. George kittle is on the shelf right now in the second best tight end. The league is probably the guy that was on hiller sidelines tonight. So there's there's no doubt that he in homes are in sync in a way that very few combinations like that are

Richard Sherman On Shutting Down Mahomes

"Last night the guys who are assembled to discuss the various topics that they were asked about regarding the Superbowl they they included forty Niners cornerback Richard Sherman who is going to have probably one of the biggest test of his career biggest test of the season trying to cover the chiefs receivers trying to anticipate what Pat Mahoney can do with a football and a part of the discussion included Sherman being told them homes won't shy away from your side of the field are you ready I would be quite was our main thing I got some of the most dynamic playmakers in as we got a ton of us speak of the tunnel on telling you can get the ball where everyone see when he wants it on the more out of pocket you know we got it we gotta find a way to to get that soul you know they have a great offense in and obviously a ton of playmakers that's what it does what here to forty minutes or so the challenge is very simple for the forty Niners defense they need to get pressure on Patrick homes to force him to get rid of the football before those guys get open because those guys eventually will crack that Seattle defense that cover three zone one of those guys will get open Tyree killed to Marcus Robinson Michael Hartmann Travis Kelsey Sami watched in somebody's getting open if you give Patrick homes enough time and if he can buy enough time that's the thing he can buy time we played yesterday on NBCSN that Fran Tarkenton play from Patrick homes week three of twenty eighteen season the nine second play that started the four yard line where he goes to laugh to completely reverse course runs across the field full speed throws it on the fly and gets touchdown made scored twenty one to seven big difference though Nick Bosa was at Ohio state at the time the Ford was playing for the chiefs at the time this time around patron homes has to try to deal with them and we talk all the time about inside information that someone may have the fords got a full season actually to of seeing Patrick homes in practice and I remember one Padma homes as a rookie Travis Kelsey was on the program and he was raving about the things that my homes was doing in practice I mean do you four has studied this guy if anybody has any ideas on what to do to stop Pat homes within the forty Niners organizations gonna be D. for now his input maybe I don't know what the hell we do I've seen this guy have you not seen him he's unstoppable that's gonna be the big challenge the forty Niners defense and Sims are talking yesterday about maybe the wisdom of dropping everybody deep and forcing the chiefs to go slowly and methodically and frustrate any effort to get that big fifty yard bomb the becomes a backbreaker force them to be patient patois homes going into the season I was aware that that was one of the changes he was gonna have to be ready for defenses making him be more patient and methodical with the ball taking away that big chunk play that big spectacular touchdown that fuels a game that turned the game around even though it only counts for seven points on the scoreboard it's kind of thing that psychologically can destroy an opponent just like that twenty seven yard touchdown run through the sideline and cut back in an inside the five and guys were flailing in a play like that can end the game as a practical matter there was discussion last night from some forty Niners defensive players about what to do if in one patch my homes it runs the football force Buckner Fred Warner drink green law they all address the situation Drake Greenlaw said that in discussing the twenty seven yard touchdown run exactly what that what I said last week the the the point that still has chiefs fans on reasonably air rationally and grossly incorrectly up in arms the twenty seven yard touchdown run Greenlaw said fear of a penalty for a late hit may have contributed to the flailing and the failure of the Titans to try to tackle patch my homes Greenlaw said he's gonna hit my homes if he's in the green without worrying about judgment calls and that you know and I said yes them done talking about building a and talk about a little bit more that was the point you can't fear the gray area with the Super Bowl on the line you have to embrace the gray area once you commit to making that tackle if the guy decides he's going to start to slide and maybe you hit him at the beginning of the slide because it's too late for you to do you commit you can't not approach the got to make the tackle for fear that he's going to end up taking you to the gray area see the quarterback has figured out how to exploit the gray area how to get guys to lower their guard how to get guys to pull up how to get guys to think the plays over and then off they go they keep going Greenlaw is gonna go and try to bring him down

Super Bowl Player Predictions

"All right Kramer kick things off. What is your first? I Chiefs Related Super Bowl profit. Well we started by talking about We started super bowl week by talking. About how one of the angles is this chiefs rushing attack I the niners rushing defense. which is the weakness of this team? They are San Francisco's defense thirteenth and adjusted line yards on the D. Line in eleventh and DVR against the run. This team has not gone under this total of eight and a half eighteen rushing yards. They've only got under that once in the last. Ten Games I it seems almost too obvious that they'll they'll be attacking hacking this angle so it gives me a little pause but like I said they've gone over this total nine out of ten. It's not a bad matchup. People will point out all with San Francisco's got a great defense. They got a good defense. They don't have a great defense against the run so there will be opportunity. Andy Andy. Reid is one of the greatest coaches in the again. One of the greatest offensive minds not to win a superbowl for sure not to win the Super Bowl but he he he gets running backs ax to produce no matter what they look like. So eight and a half yard seem silly. They've gone well north of two hundred in both games. This does seem really low. Oh I couldn't be jumped right off the screen emmy as a former tight end as a A former are you referencing as a former China and I also worked with a hall of Fame First Ballot Rob Gronkowski which Danny worked on the show as well we got a witness not know how to Pronounce Chore Four In Person. George sure calling worse. Instead of Chore Sports He Kept Calling at George Sports all right rob just one more time. He's like coming up George now the wartime I think it's the sports and then finally the Co host is like you don't know what a chore is like Washing Dishes Sweeping floors and he goes. I never did any jurors ores growing up. I was too busy scoring touchdowns to smile. This big GROG again channel. He thinks he's GRONK. He thinks he's King of the BRAS. There's only one continue the bras. And it is Travis Kelsey. I'm taking Kelsey to have more receiving yards than than kindle over. You're still you're still avenging. Take a loss in the albro category. I was bullshit that he didn't get in. And I think kindles little overrated and I liked the minus one and a half yards Kelsey Chelsea against Kendall that's risky bro. Kelsey is an a seasoned bro now older Keel. Those two young. He's only as a young and up and coming Bro. I I think he's again. This is just I had the early take. I kill sucks at home instead of adjusting to the optics or the reality. I'm GonNa just lean in. I'm going all in on trump. So you know. Sometimes you're presented with evidence and you just have to ignore it. I'm locked in. I'm okay I was GONNA see. Danny I know you gave me your props one. You liked Nicole Hardman. I just love McCall Hardman in this game we he. He caught a pass in the chargers. Game to really start the ball. This was the week. Seventeen chargers game caught a pass to get the ball. Rolling with our offense later had a sweep. Like they're we're GONNA use them. They've been waiting to use him for something if he's maybe it's a sammy. Watkins Pass. I would say if you're gonNA scheme something like that up the other end of it is going GonNa be somebody like Nicole Hardman McColl Hartman. Scores a touchdown in this game was three hundred over at my book. Make some money this guy. They've been sitting on what he can do all season. They've been waiting for him to get better at whatever the hell it is route running. You know timing. Whatever it is that he needed to do? He's doing it. He's more trust in the offense. I think more so than demarcus Robinson I think he scores a D.. In this game let me ask you Sean. Do you take over twenty three and a half yards over one and a half catch or over fifteen and a a half yards for longest catch. Well I guess I'll jump to my second one because it's literally one of those. How when I wrote it down McColl Hardman's that's total over? mybookie was twenty three and a half up to twenty six or twenty. Six ounce. Sounds like it's down to twenty three and a half. Do whatever it is. I like it over. This kid is a burner. Oh I think he can get it in one catch again speed kills and I think they're gonna be focusing on Hill. He's along I don't think is going to have a huge game now. Maybe breaks it off. Maybe he does but I think Sal is going in there with that mindset of. We're not letting tyreek Hill beat us in this game so I I'm throwing a little a little tiny tyreek hill and beat and didn't mention the field. That's always trying to move past that I feel like don't you. You want to protect yourself against that one catch for twenty one yards and just take longest reception over fifteen and a half. Oh see well that was total yards. But you're right I yeah what do you want to do. So you're saying I feel you'd be gets a catch. It's going to be like a twenty yarder. Always does he get the second catch to get over catch props over the total total yardage lab take longest or first reception is twelve and a half yards now. Hopefully they don't go to a screen or something to him. It's Y- yeah. Is it a reception as it. Total yards what we talking about my twenty three and a half was total receiving received but Kramer is making a case here and a good case. That maybe you're better off off just playing the over. I catch or global catch. He's only expected to have one and a half. So maybe two and they're saying twenty-three which means they're expecting directing two catches of twelve yard. That's an interesting way to all right so you talked me into all right. GimMe Gimme. I'll switch it up. I'll give I'll go over. I catch twelve and a half yards. Now no actually. I'll stick with my total because I want to. If he doesn't get it on the I catch then I have some live bets. Already have have too much stuff going to see what we're having here is. We're having the synapses firing in my going on right. Now we're in the car with with Johnny and Johnny's Janis driving and we just had a discussion that he was going to have with his buddies later. Now he doesn't have to have that conversation tech. We've sorted it out. He's not gonNA play. I cash over twelve and a half hour. We're going to move forward. What's your second point of the discussion? Sammy Watkins over three and a half catches this is I ah I I know I'm chasing a little bit. But I do like the angle that they are gonNA shut tyreek Hill down. I like the angle that they're going to try to shut Travis Kelsey down and and I'm probably going to attack props around everyone else A Hill and Kelsey are going to be the chalk your plays for the yardage rich props be more people will probably play those overs. So I'm GONNA attack is like Sammy. Watkins and I think he is the guy that is going to benefit the most. Because he's the guy that seems to be running more their possession stuff and as they stretch the field vertically Sean they call that taking the top off the deep and that leaves a lot of room in the middle for a guy like Samya walk in so I really like him to get three and a half catches. I mean you you got to figure how many throws is Patrick Mahomes GonNa have. I can't imagine he's having less than forty throws which means I can't imagine having less than like thirty two thirty two catches and then if you take the attempts so over or even the pass yards over with homes what is actually looked at it. Plays out in both scenarios. Where either they're throwing the ball a lot and winning or if they do get down there behind hind they're playing catch up? It makes sense for either a Kansas City win or unfortunately San Francisco win the over and and then passing the ball. It does kind of make sense. We haven't talked a ton about the running backs Darwin Thompson. What is he involved in this game I think so I mean the over are underway? What one and a half Kerry Russia rushing attempts? I mean there's lesean McCoy is persona non grata. Now he's he had some fumble issues he. He's he's actually quick and I have liked watching him break off a few

Chiefs rally from 24-0 hole to beat Texans 51-31 in playoffs

"After spotting his Jenna twenty four nothing lead the Kansas City Chiefs scored forty one unanswered points in route to a fifty one thirty one win over the Texans chiefs quarterback Patrick my home threw four touchdown passes in the second quarter to fuel the come back we knew that we were still still just kind of beating ourselves that we needed to go out there just excuse at a higher level as a team and we news will be a great challenge that team that we have planned but we just went out there and just play by play just table we're supposed to do not try to do too much and and we kind of chips into that lead Travis Kelsey because three of the second quarter TD passes he had ten receptions on the day for one hundred thirty four yards the chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans in the AFC championship game Greg Echlin Kansas city
