"Bunch of other songs who've been doing cover songs and other stuff and and and. John finished up a solo record. It's like there's so much more music and better music. Cousin this this this time. So it's like either you can sit in in be bombed in. I'm wait until things go back they were or naked vantage of how things are. Yeah and that's you know it's Time, time will tell like some artists. Like aren't as lucky as our bands to be able to constantly spew out music in new new ideas in reinventing your old ideas or or or thinking of things like. Doing cover versions or different versions of of your songs and For for those artists. Harder, but luckily, we are the type guard is said. Has Never had a problem like we always we'll have our ryder blocks at times, but it's never for very long and and usually take something. Quick. To get you out of the and. I don't know you I i. think it's really important that bans hopefully are trying to take advantage of this but you're right like you can sit down kind of wind it sucks it's actually can't tour but we will never have this kind of time I know ever ever again. So why not just use it to like get as much music out so that you don't have to like do that two year cycle thing that always bothered me because. Right after we would release an album. I'd be like, oh Song you know and it's like, okay. Well, trump's in in two years. It can be the first single. going. Irrelevant. Oh Man. That's awesome. Well, I. I'm. Very. Excited to. Think about the possibility that like you know we can have another conversation like this in five or ten years because. I didn't think that we'd be doing it. You know when Secret Valentine tour in two thousand nine. I didn't think that we'd be doing this now site I mean. It really is like I i. think we're going to be like. Playing shows. For, another twenty years like I I think that like there's we're going to shop at a festival NBA cartwright naked you guys like we were. Remember, when you took us to the UK the first time in two thousand. I. Think. You're right and it goes back to something that you said like. When? When you going to ban this long, there's really not too much that you haven't endured. So. If you can get through.

"And. When Times are tough and you're not friends with the people you're around in, it's going to be pretty hard to get through that stuff. But like you said, when you're that close in, you can count on everyone you know. That's how you can keep going. You know I mean think about it like. Who would really? Want to leave like their friends and family. To go to work essentially in tour for months straight with people that they just hated being around like I would I would do the same thing if I didn't like the people that I was working with, I would I would not work with them. You know and because I have that luxury. So. You know it's it's hard to tell them like, Hey, the secret for success is just being a nice person and being friendly. You know but but money and fame and success. It throws a wrench in that plan a lot of times and you can either handle it but. You. said it perfect. Basically. In those hard times. It really defines like your character as a band and as a as a unit and as partnership. because you can either go one way or the other you can. You can come out a bit stronger as band or you break up. So it's really those hard times that really define. The longevity of your bands. You know there's there's all these. Experiences that. You know the the the five of you're the. View of the city on your band like. Once you've been doing this for ten years. There's just so many things that you've been through from. Crazy. Things at the airport to people you've seen in people you've met in so many dumb things that it's like I would have such hard time walking away from that and trying to like anybody else because the things that we've seen just the ridiculous funny crazy things that have happened you know. The average person has not been through that much with their five best friends. You know it's it's it's it's funny. Even like with the crew members like we have really. Close, relationships with our crew members because of that very thing you know the. You connect in a way that it's really hard and difficult sometimes to be pushed back in the real world when you're home to connect with. You know some people that have nine to five or just live different lifestyle, and then you could basically meet somebody. WHO's another band on tour and click right away you know and just and that's a that's a special thing. which which makes it. Hard for US sometimes even were extremely social human beings sometimes like you get a group of people like at a birthday party, our reunion or celebration of some things just like you know what to talk about like you don't even know what's happening in the real world. Because you've been in this little bubble for so long. Getting up to her then going to like. A random birthday. Those are weird days for sure. Holly. You end up being that guy that I was in high school at the dance when you're just hanging out in the corner and you're like. I wish they would play. Music, that I liked to hear. Exactly. And what's Nice about those now is having kids. You you always have like a scapegoat. Like I can go to those things and just pay attention to my kids the entire time and I, don't feel like I'm being rude I don't feel like I'm being you know extrovert..

"The fried chicken sandwich at US locations nationwide on Sunday November third a mere few days away same date as National Sandwich Day because every day in this country has a national day. I think today was national cats day. If you can believe it or not. And and while that's a fitting day to relaunch the long-awaited menu item. Pop is is also using the day to troll chick-fil-a which is famously closed on Sunday's maybe the Great Chicken Sandwich War of twenty nineteen isn't over just yet that remains to be seen. But what's almost certain. Is that Fried Chicken Sandwich. Mania is about to come back in full force probably talked to Craig Bar about that here in about thirty five forty minutes travis. Clark is up next. I'll talk to you quickly about Green Mountain grills one of the most hotly awaited Christmas items on the list Of live fire cooks out there. Today they love pellets. Everybody loves pallets. One of the hottest growing niches in the industry and Green Mountain grills is ready to accommodate the date with a couple of different product lines. All the bottles are the same. You Have Jim Bowie Daniel Boone. Both in the prime line and in the classic line you also have Davy Crockett. which is that tailgater or mobile unit? That one does not have a prime or classic line. It's just beautiful all by itself. It's compact nature. Its ability to cook a tremendous amount of food getting that wood-fired Pella taste..

"And that's why he was so popular like, so I, you know, I don't know. You know, that's why it's frustrated. I've kind of disag- sept- it that it's all struggle and it's all journey. Sometimes you're up, sometimes you're down. Oh yes. I mean, it's I try like we've said. I try not to worry about things. I can't control. You know, people keep asking me about. You know before season three star, you're going to be on season three, right? I'm like, I don't know. I don't know how about the cartoons cartoon coming back. I don't know. Four. But I think a lot of people outside of show biz think that people in show bizz have a lot more control over than they do not controlling anything. No. This. So, you know, I try and. You know, just if it happens, it happens, you know. I mean, the Showtime show just ended couple of weeks ago. I would love for there to be a season three, but I can't sit there everyday. Goma geyser, ceasing, threes, universities, you gotta leave your fucking life. I mean, yeah, it's just everything's out of your control in Hollywood other than which is why love and put so much energy into this podcast. I wanted you on the show. I got you on the show. I didn't have to go, hey, Mr Clark. And yet your son. Sign a waiver, it'd be hilarious. Right, right. A Travis. Do this podcast will what are your numbers now? Just go directly to the source. So you know, that's why think podcasts are so popular. That's why everyone does because you're in control your control. Yeah, and there's an immediacy to it. You don't have to sit there and we gotta figure out a way you fucking sit down. You have a conversation and your fucking. That's it. Yeah. You leave. You know, you put it out the next day or that night, and hopefully people like it and want to see you come back. So you know, that's really the only thing and you know you two videos, you know or any never got into those, why value and value in for sure. I just I just look at it and go, I gotta get a camera and I got to set up some shit and I got I video editing. Yeah. I mean, it's definitely skill. I don't have like, you know, Whitney rice was. You know, she is amazing that like she like just two to three videos a week owner all perfectly edited. She the music fits every because I used to be in some of videos, and it was like unbelievable how she would crank out. It's all her. Yeah, I mean she is, but now she's doing TV shows and whatnot, but she got signed her agency basically through them seen her crank out video after video after video. Like I do this podcast. This is easy. Put the music on the front, the back and that's right. I don't add a book polo doughnut. The middle put on soundcloud. Upload it goes, I tunes literally pretty simple. So you know, we'll see what happens. Keep at it man. Where can people find you Mr Clarke Mr.. Travis Clark on Instagram and and Twitter. I'm Bo at Travis Clark on on everything. Do you have a website? Not anymore and give us the podcast all plug but say it slowly. Got you. Plug all your podcast, and then we'll get nice little podcast funnel going. I host a talk show with my buddy Jonathan to douse key called quick question. That's where we have people on. They reach into a jar of questions. "Appear amazing show to work on in the cartoon like which everything was run like the cartoon. Got all of that without representation. Yeah. So it's unbelievable. Yeah. I mean, so I love it. Like in one sense. I don't want representation. Now. Why would you this point? But like I said, a roast like the the roast battle experienced led me to wanting representation because I see some of the Roches who aren't as good as me who have big agents. They get easy ups, and you know, they get invited back season after season after season and it's like I'd beat them. I feel like I'm supposed to manage you. Is that what's supposed to happen to take you on be a client. But I mean, I. You just need someone to make the call. Yeah. Can we get Earl instead of Jimmy car? Can we get them? Ralphie ralphie could have beaten me. Sure. You know, which is part of my attraction, Roosevelt. Anyone can lose. Oh, yeah. I mean, that's what I love about it, but you know, but it's giving me everything. So it's like a feeling towards it is it's like a girlfriend that's cheated on me. I should want to go back to it. I shouldn't care about it, but it's different when everyone else isn't there when you when you to alone you in rest battle a different relationship? Well, I just I don't understand how they operate guy. I just don't. That's so strange because I associate you with that show so much. I feel like when you say how they operate, I feel like you're part of the day. I'm not. I don't like I don't. I shouldn't have done this podcast thought this was going to get me on. Can you give me on Russ battle? I can't get myself. Well, I, I'm a very straight line, no black and areas of grey. It's just black and white and like I don't understand their decisions at all, like it's it. That's why it's been so fascinating to go. Okay. Like to my mind is I go. I'm clearly the most popular roaster but based on people going on Twitter, Winesses person battle, right? I'm tagged in one hundred plus tweets. Bring back all put her all up against this person or that person, or you know, bring it back in some capacity. I haven't seen one tweet that said, bring back anyone else now. I don't look up the tweets, but like I'm sure there's one or two, but like to me, that's if I'm a comedy central executive go. We have every season like people wanna see him battle. And so I don't, but doesn't that mean from a certain point of view that you kind of have this legend around you now? But like to me, like if I'm an executive, let's use this legend. Not. Let's like you know, even beating Jimmy car, I would work in their favor because it's like people don't think he'd be Jimmy people hate him, but then there's another half that loves them. That's two groups that are going to watch him half wanna see him. Lose half on him one like that's the perfect like. It's like there was a wrestler by the name, Rick rude who I still most of my character from in terms of like my persona, he was a bad guy and we call the audience fats slot out of shape, sweat, hogs, and like, you know, hold your fat wife down before she storms. The stage like a rhino and people hated him, and there's a group that loved them..

"I used to years ago before podcasting was even the thing. I was a host on a thing called comedy world with we just called it internet radio and Morgan Murphy. The very funny comic and writer, and all of that was he college student who came an intern there. She, she's like, I don't know. Comedy seems interesting. She's the. So it's just it's always been hilarious to me that there is no one way to go about it. You know? She's like, I wish everyone. Was like her like, she's very successful. She keeps it real Scott, a delivery drier than mine. You know, I love her. We were on the, I am chic roast together and like you and they Morgan Murphy would be a good fit on the iron Sheik roast. Just as I don't necessarily know. She's like a wrestling fan and she held like I thought she was the funniest part because she was like, you know, there's me Tony Hinchcliffe. There's Brody Stevens and a few other. Mike Lawrence, I think was okay. You know, very pro wrestling fans, but she just said this. Set of like, what am I doing. But I'm gonna. Do jokes about this crippled by a literate who? Yeah, like homophobic. It was kinda like when Hannibal birth was on the Justin Bieber rose. Oh my God. I say, I hope you're trying to rebuild your image and I hope it fails like I'm not even feeling your music just because I know it's going to help my career. Wow, that was fucking great. I apologize to them once when I was doing the house, racist character came in, you know it's just an act right, bro. He's like, yeah, but you do it really well. And I didn't really know him. So he'll be this actual racist, but you know, well, I mean, we all think that about your little bit. I mean, I did do well for so on parenting, not well enough anyway. So where are you at now? You know how many years you've been doing? Stand up. I, I can't. I can't say that with like I can't say like from when I started to now because there's a lot of gaps in between. I'd say about ten years in but a over about a fifteen to sixteen year period. Go up kind of anywhere that a let me. I mean, I I used to go are used to at least a couple times a year. Go to laugh factory out in Vegas and. Host out there, and that was kinda my big fun romp each year. Not doing it this year. It's kind of kind of kind of where you feel about roast battle. I don't know what I did wrong. I don't know what happened. I thought everything was going great. I go up. I mean, I'm I don't wanna brag, but I'm at the Hollywood hotel tomorrow night. You know, I am. This will be out by tomorrow morning. What show is that it's the unpopular opinion live show that's in the basement of the Hollywood hotel in what's that? What is unpopular? Pinon is independent podcast network that my friend Adam runs Oga. And so one of the three shows I host is on that I used to do shows at the Hollywood hotel. We all do. That's the weird thing about the Hollywood hotel. You know, it doesn't change, but here's supposed to evolve past it, but I'm still there. I'm sure that it bartenders now he finally got fired. He's finally gust, right? Yeah, it was a force you to buy drinks did pain to perform and then would like play jazz trumpet in the hallway. Weird, dude. Yeah. I mean, it's in the bay in theory. It should be a good room because it's in the basement of a tourist hotel. And you know some nights it was okay, but that's LA comm rooms like that..

"I watched my friends clips when they show up and I'm happy for my friends when they get that, but I don't sit. That's not what I ingest content anymore. Don't sit down and watch a ninety minute show. There's just too much. You know, like back when your dad was like, you know, in his heyday, you know there was like the time show. That's it. Well, okay. I rarely like to tell other people's stories, but this is one of my favorite stories of heard. My dad a bunch and I'll try and do it a little bit of general. I'll try and tell it as accurately. I remember this is the perfect time to cut off the Facebook live feed. If you wanna hear this story, you're gonna have to listen to the rest of this on IT tunes. When it comes out tomorrow, you'll have to rate and review the show. So for the Facebook, live free cres. Where are you on Instagram and Twitter at Mr.. Travis Clark. MR Travis Clark on Twitter and Instagram. So start telling the story, and then I'm going to like, cut it off halfway through. So my dad worked the door at the comedy store. He was the doorman for, I don't know, probably three or four years. So that was his square job while he was doing standup things started working out for him. He started touring more started doing more things, but he was still doorman. He gets to go and be a guest on the tonight show with Johnny. Carson goes, does I think his first, maybe it was his second set. I think it was his second time. My dad ended up doing the tonight show like eight times which is second time on Carson Carson. I remember I remember dad telling me this Carson spun around in his chair during my dad's set. 'cause he laughed so hard like just made my I made my dad's day. Made my dad's life like he still talks about it. The next night so that. So that was a Wednesday night Thursday night. My dad is back at the comedy store, working the door. Someone comes in and they go, yeah, my decades. How many in your party and they go, that's that's funny, man, we we, we saw one. We saw you on Carson last night. He goes, yeah, that was last night tonight. How many in your party? So even then when that was the heyday of what made people, my dad had to go back to being the doorman. Yeah, I so you can imagine now there's probably seven talk shows late night that have some form of comedy get comedy central. You got Netflix Hulu. Amazon, I think is getting into stand up logo is primarily for gay comics, but they have like Kathy Griffin sprawls HBO Showtime has a lot of epochs. Yeah. So it's like there's no shortage of platfo. Terms, but none of them, they're all vanity credits. Now I feel my wrong. Well, in this town, you need. Credits to get into the clubs. That's true. That's a hundred percent. Sure. I mean, when I got past the comedy store in twenty thirteen I'd know credits. 'cause rose battle. Just started in probably two years from getting on TV I, my spots were one AM in later which I was very happy with. I didn't care if I was going on. Three in the morning, I'd be happy, but then I got rose battle and then the cartoon and then the Showtime show. Now I go on it. You know, between twelve to twelve forty five because it's kind of like overtaking Rogan on the podcast while no one's overtaking him right. And so the comedy store from say ten to eleven forty five. Those are the big hitters, right? Rogan's delays, Samaritans THEO. Von. You know to, I mean, Morgan Murphy. You know, I remember Morgan Murphy..

"Well, I, I mean, I don't think I've ever burned bridge with anyone like so's just still puzzling to me like, why am I being treated like the worst? So I didn't leave my hotel room and less. It was to go to roast battle like I didn't go out, you know, and see the sights chase pussies or or you know what I didn't either, but that's because I'm a a gore phobic married. So that limited options? Yeah. Yeah. What what show were you up there? For? I was up there with my buddy, Greg Behrendt. He was doing a one man show with two people, and I was the second man. Okay, man show. And so I, I. You guys rose. Paddle was like the fucking festival. That was what everybody wanted to see it was, and it was right outside the hotel. So everybody and Ajay AFL kinda stays if they're performer state this one hotel, and then you literally walk out into the theater like right. There are shit was like down the street and around the way, and then up a corner then around the way. And then there was a candy store with an e t in the fucking window and it was down the street from that hard. Fuck defined. We did find we got through it. We had a good time. But you guys, I mean, we tried to come in to watch one night. 'cause I ran into you after one of the battles. One night we kinda just talked in the street like that was the weird thing about it is that you're in another country and you're in another city, but all of it feels like it's the back lot of Universal Studios tour, like none of it seems like it's a real place 'cause she's got the music ship. The the middle part of the streets in the, it's like a carnival. But like I it star, it hit me. Like when I be Tom Ballard in the first round and he's like this legendary Australian calm, like he was killing people in the until by season. Like he was murdering people like, he's like, he's a great comic, but is roasting is very, very good. Well, that's kind of a first round, tough one. And then I was like, Jesus, even if I beat him, I gotta go up most likely against Jimmy, right? Because Jimi was battling my friend, Kristy. And he was kinda thought she almost beat them to be honest. And it just goes to show you the weirdness of television because all the comics back home in here, we're like while Jimmy killed girl and I'm like, I was in the room Shamas want like. You know. But then I was like, jeeze even if I'd be Tom, probably gonna get Jimmy and there's no way they want me to win that. So really was kind of like, you're kinda sad that you're like going through all this like, like, Why's everyone against me? Right? Held build this fucking show. That's undeniable. So you know. And then when I be Jimmy, I just, you know, I will never forget going back up in the green room and like a lot of the TV sects were like, fuck and like, well, you know, what am I supposed to do? Take a dive. Do you wanna show or do you wanna fuck in? Do you wanna fix in the finals? I get it. He's a huge comic and he's a great dude. Like he's an awesome. I I've only know him in passing and he's always been very kind. I mean, we're, I mean, we're not like home is, but like we're very friendly with each other. But you know, it's like give him. You know, an easier bracket like, you know and will face him in the finals. But you know, for whatever is, but I could tell like, that's why wasn't even that excited getting into the life and Allie because I was like, I knew I'd burn bridges with whoever. How do you burn bridges for doing what you're fucking there to do?.

"You can go up to two hundred. I get people. Updating me. I really don't check a lot. You know, every now and then it's on day afternoon. How's things working out? But I have fans who screen shot. Like if I'm really high up, you know, my fans are the best. They're small, but they can't be small if your top ten. Well, I mean, I think you get a lot. You know, the great thing about IT is like you'll get fans of say, Rogan's and then you know, like Joe's mentioned me a few times on the spot cast. It's all roast, battle related and people. Oh, let me look Earl Skakel and I tunes. So I mean, that helps and I do a lot of people's podcasts. Yeah, like probably in the last month done ten people's podcast and it helps because you get their fame, right. Hopefully you get some of my fans. I'll take them all, and then I'll go on yours and and maybe I, you know, it's like absolutely should come on on one or all of mine, not the most knowledgeable about lint bisque. But if you like them, that's perfect. I don't. I again, I lost a bet we put it out as a joke as an April Fool's joke, and people were, like I said, if this charts I'll keep doing it and it charted. So we had, we have to keep doing it. Why? Just like bands like that I want to be entertained. I don't wanna hear about the rain forest. I don't wanna hear about nine eleven conspiracy. I don't wanna hear about Trump or Obama, or you know, Greenpeace I wanna be. I limp biscuit makes me laugh. Like I. The part and now listen to what I'm about to say. Okay, listen, all right. The Wigger stick I think is hilarious. I mean, you can't get any wider than Fred Durst and he's doing the rapping and the, you know, the wacky dancing, the videos. He's in the roles Roy's at. That's funny to me. Can I tell you my favorite thing about Fred der sluice? He got kicked out of the navy for skateboarding. I had no. Man. I did not know that that, yeah, that's my favorite thing about. I like to imagine he was doing some like Ali trick on a on an aircraft carrier and they're like dishonorable discharge. You know it. So that's what started biscuit kicked out of the navy. It was like, well, I need to make money. I guess I'll tattoo people in rap. But I, I like the guitar player was Borlase. Boylan is interesting and very odd, man. But I like characters like that. Like one of my favorite guitar players bucket head bucket head is a man of of legend and myth, but he's such a good guitar such a Qatar player, but then there's like theory that bucket has more than one person. I mean, I don't think too many people can play what he plays, but it's possible. I just enjoy like I look at bucket headed. I'm entertained like the guys went to Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket and has video game buttons on his guitar. Yeah, I, I think that's funny like he may. I'd rather look at that and say, inveigh mom Ston playing a million notes amenities. Very good, but at least they'll Faulk good fury's. But I. Hyde rather like. I want to be entertained. So like why kiss kiss entertaining to me. You know, I don't wanna listen to, you know, like Jeff back who's amazing. Jack is amazing. But like, okay, us one time I need bombs closures and lasers. I need levitating drum kits. I need Zohar you a motley Crue guy then because they seem to check all of those boxes. I went to their last concert in was their second to last show Anaheim. I won't say who I was with, but. You're at the fund theatre last night. You might have seen them, but I got you. I can read between those lines. Yeah, we'll Stevie Wonder could read between. But it was entertaining concert like the, but I think the most memorable part other than when I paid for those tickets was one point. Someone drops confetti on the crowd and the Nikki six who had a canister on the side of his base shooting fire over the crowd, no value, no, like a lot of confetti who who drummed up this sketch like you guys ever hear..

He managed drew Carey. Okay. Forget Rick. Like Messina, somebody must see. Oh, you know something. Yeah, like they were huge. They might still be big, but like. Sportsman's lodge, which was an outdoor patio just up of insurable of art. I mean, you could hit magic. There are some nights she didn't most nights. You got heckled by a bus. I mean, the bus stop was literally right by the stage, the stage the floor, right there was no there was there was literally the the bus bench was maybe fifty feet from the microphone and on hot summer nights. Poisonous caterpillars would fall from the canopy. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, it was just just the dream. It was the dream, something out of the movie swingers just no way people don't go through that. Do they? And so there's the deceased calm because on on stage is doing a joke, let's say, wasn't theirs. And you stood up in the middle of the punchline a or maybe it was right after and said, that's my dad's joke. And there was a little bit of awkwardness and the deceased comic said, well, who's your dad know he's at? What are you? Blake. Clark's kid. Okay. By name? He names my dad and I went, yeah, because that's not his joke. And like, then, how do you know who I was talking about? Right. And then it escalated from there. I remember correctly. It was the best like, you know, a lot of people look at them and see a Rogan things, but you know, I wish someone was filming it just be like only in LA could you still? So someone's joke and their kids. Waiting to go on. And I miss those days. Like I miss like. Like, you know, you don't like, you know, I got a spot at the comedy store tonight at twelve forty five, nothing wacky is going to happen like that. Like you do your said, you know, you'll hang out for bid. They watch one of your friends and then leave, but nothing like that's going to happen. And you know, of course, you know, that was like, oh, because I didn't know your dad was right, you know. And then I look, I never talked about it before either. That was the first time that I'd like kind of publicly declared that my father was also a comic what stuff because yeah, dairy comic, like kind of you to say, I don't know. I don't know if he or I agree with that, but tack slash comic like he really crossed over into both feels pretty well better than most. So it's kinda like I never really liked talking about my aunt being Ethel Kennedy just because I want to be known as Earl Skakel the comic. Right, exactly. You know, and I'm sure it's even worse in your case. 'cause you're dad was already stab list in the field you're trying to thrash. Right. And even if you got anything it would be like, well, his dad probably made a call. Adam Sandler. Yeah, that I, it is funny how much that is. And then if you'd also would look at where I am in my career, no one's making any calls. This is all one hundred percent me. Me trying it on my own. So like dad make some call. I got to that point. I was like, trying to do this on my own. I all take the phone call now. Well, I mean, I mean, I some points who who does my aunt Athol no, and she knows everybody like, and she gets her calls accepted. Like if you're the head ICM or whoever elbow Kennedy online to, they're picking up the phone, but I never have and she probably would. But you know. So that's how you're in the top ten at Kennedy. My ruse has been shattered, not putting out an episode every week. Getting guests on, you know, it's yeah to-. Kennedy skull and bones. Finally, the inappropriate servers actually located at bohemian grove. I just think it's big if you to finally admitted Earl, because we've all known for a while. I wish I could hack into IT. I'm really gonna hack into items to be number thirteen. Why would you be number one?.

"So he but it's just the honesty of this video where he's he's not even calling him a whole and he's calling them by name Terry, Terry real piece of shit. Terry, you know, your wife was a hor-. You're a cocaine abuser, and the only person who didn't partake in your wife was me, you know? So that's the ultimate part of his name. Right? He's the now. He's one hour is dead. Right? Like he just become warrior? Yeah, he changed his name legally to warrior. It was actually. Quite. Kind of brilliant like the WWE copyrights all their names. So right. Germont yo man, Randy savage and you leave Joe king. You got, yeah, you gotta be like man mountain. Savage. You can't be. You know, if you're the big boss, man, like when he went to WCW he had to call himself big Bubba. It's just funny how they try and tweak the name enough to sound like the Justin right. So I when the warrior came back to WCW. To fight hulk HOGAN. That was like the big all my God. Rematch warrior beat HOGAN in wrestlemainia. Let you get that eating enough. Talk about wrestling and talked to some of my loser friends and four in the afternoon. Just people palming hey, you're talking about roast battled. Can you get my real the Jeff now, is there any chance that you could make fun of me in front of someone else that I could be on television? Yeah. Hey, do you want to take a fall on pay one person? No, fuck ACC. I would take a dive and they would pay me like five hundred dollars because take a dive, five hundred bucks. Ain't a fucking dive a fucking favor. Well, that's like, you know, it's like. You know 'cause they toward the end of my roast battle run, they would put me up against people. They wanted to see get on the show and they the marketability of it was, hey, they just beat Earl, right? So you take that person to comedy central and go, hey, they just beat Earl. So I think that's where people got the idea of going to broker the deal. Earl, take a fall. Opening bid is fifteen. K I can't take a fall. I can't. I can't do it. Fifty k. but k. I only lose two women. I'm like de MARTINI. I don't need the money. I got a spine. This envy you. That is, you can't buy me guy and you can buy the shit out of me. I am so purchaseable. Well, I'm not like Russell Peters. That's next level, right? I mean, you know, that's like that's famous everywhere, but America money that is, but he's so famous. He doesn't need to be famous amount. Well, he doesn't. I mean, he's playing arenas soccer stadiums, playing the London. Oh, to arena. That's like we're Talukder. Just like when you play in arenas metallica's plane and doing better numbers, I don't think you care if you play the funny bone, Jackson shit. Yeah, let's get into comedy. We get into it. We lost our. Unbeaten path here with my bitterness. That was basically the first part of this podcast was shoot video. A lot of it. Always been just like I said, you've always been a straight shooter. You've never not been that dude, but it doesn't pay off in this business. Just doesn't top ten podcast man. That seems like a fucking pit big. That's got to burn some people. Make them feel awful. All of these fucking networks with their hundred thousand dollar marketing bone, and you're like, one I am immoral. Skakel got a couple of weeks and talk to the guy from superman too, sometimes does better up fucking ten. All your podcast together. No network, no hell. It's so great aunts, the bass rogue rogue publicist doesn't. And I don't mean this an insulting, but it doesn't make sense in terms of how you think everything is structured, doesn't like this businesses all who you represented, right?.

"Like I get weekly battle off or still even though I haven't been on the show and I dunno, whatever year maybe a little longer because they know that I'm a semi popular person on the show who my kidding, the most popular person on the show. So modest haven't been on the show in a year and a half, and I get more battle offers in the fucking champ. What does that tell you. She. Hey, let's get the kid from the Saint Jude's commercial on next season in the head with the blanket. Doesn't he do it? I don't it. He probably did. I mean, I gave money to Saint Jude's just doing get the blanket blanket. So I think it's changed. I the reason why someone like you hasn't gotten like a lot of offers or whatever is because, well, if I if I take on Travis, it's not gonna. Help me get on the show right everyone. Now I gotta get on the TV show gotta get next season season for. I mean, I'm sure people already are going who challenge you get on c. simple. I'm gonna stab, a baby and season five. So I helped helped. Someone doesn't take that before. Well, you know, you gotta, you know, look in the rankings of row spat, which about as meaningful has pro wrestling. I'm number eight. Maybe I'll get pass at the comedy store. No, you won't. Now you don't think so, guess again, but you know, I it is. I mean, you know, like I had someone. Yesterday message me, hey, how do I get into roast battle? You know? And I could tell they, like, you can answer that. I, I let people calls, but I usually not the guy who does that. It's all good. That's awful. That is bad guest, etiquette. No, it's not allowed to punch me. It's okay. One of the good ones, but you know, I'm like, well, you know, it's like a little in the game, you know, get on. Yes. So you know, she's three. I'm sure they'll be a season for seasons in the UK now, by the way, the quick shout out to the UK roasters for thanking me what you haven't done. A UK. So UK rose battle with Jimmy car. I'll okay. 'cause he was big. So we ran into each other at j. f. l. in twenty sixteen because you were there doing the battle, then invading Jimmy car Jimmy car was, yeah, he was there right? I really helped me beating Jimmy. He gets his own show and I never get asked to do the show again, you know, sums wacky about this business when that's happening. You know, again, I just say my favorite thing about show business is fairness and the kindness lump turning slowly into the ultimate warrior, who toward the end of his life would release the shoot videos in pro wrestling parlance, shoot videos or when they talk real like, don't it's not. They really mean what they're saying. He cut an hour promo once on hulk HOGAN, that I even if you don't like wrestling. It's the fucking funniest video you've ever seen. Just the bitterness and the anger, and just the honesty, it's an hour of him in his garage, talking shit on HOGAN. I did. He become like a libertarian became Titian or something or made Sean Hannity. Look in the metal. He went super off too. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I don't even Republicans would claim him like he really went like like very anti-homophobia which is weird given the anti-homophobia pro homophobe anti was very much was not a fan of homosexuals, which is strange because you know, when you look at the world of pro wrestling, it's squeezed. Yeah..

"I mean, it's been a fascinating. Education. To see. I mean, this is the first time I've ever been on a show. So to see the network weals. It's been. Interesting. Civilised I feel that there's a, there's a lot wrapped up in the word interesting there. I just to me, I look at it as okay, this all of our first time on TV, we should all be happy, right? You know, we're all making money. We're all fucking, which is probably part of the problem on that show share. You know, I mean, you know you're still into someone in the, oh, she's or he's guys are just as bad, you know? 'cause I've seen it was certain girls that you know, they hook up with someone and then two weeks later, the guy's fucking someone else. And then you know, you got to be in that room. Oh my God, he's fucked. All always fuck that. Judge. She's fucked this battler incite. It's the m- which probably makes this show work to that degree. Well, what I like about rest battle and by the way I'm way to sensitive to ever done one, I would you do it though? I could, but I would. I don't get out of bed the next day you have to leave your body. I've been trying to do that for a long time. Well, let me set up a battle for you. That's the one thing I would say. I actually found the most insulting is it? No one has asked me. No one has ever said, oh my God, I would love to no one has ever been like you and I need to go at it nothing. Well, now it's change because that's on TV people. I think view it as I have to battle someone who can help get me on TV, right?.

"Noth- kind of level of rice rat has to worry about. I mean, they probably don't. I mean, I dated the manager for motor head, so I saw Lenny's checks. They had one hit a suspect, right, and let me did okay from self. So rat probably does the same maybe hundred grand a year in publishing, maybe a little more than motor. And you gotta split all that up though. Right? Well, I would say, well, I don't know. Well, the guy one guy died of aids, so you don't have to cut him a check, not his estates to give that. So, and you know, I don't know. You know, lemme gave the other two guys for publishing, which is very cool. He didn't have to. Now he didn't. He really wrote most of the song yet he was, I believe, forty-nine percent motherfucker. Is that correct? Yeah, the one percent so. But you know, I've often thought of killing myself but putting out a comedy on the day before, well, yeah. Oh my God. We thought Earl was so funny, but I'm not really dying alleged, man. Why? You know, well, what's going to happen one day? I just hope I put out now mount the week before now we get is what you need in media manager need a media suicide manager to get it all kind of. No, just get the album out on comedy. Central comedy central presents Earl Skakel dime. All right. Now we know you're going to. We get. We have some suicide options here for you. Earl, I think rope is going to be the quickest, but we also have intravenous drugs. If you wanna go that direction or straight at bullet, which is, I mean, that's a little of, you know, little. It's not as it's not what we see your brand of suicide fitting, but it is an option or one. You blow your brains out on rose, battle season four get on TV. We'll put all the commercials and we'll even give you the win. But retrospectively, like not in the not in the moment. Rain matter. We'll be all over the judges table and, whoa, you know, Earl. Good punch lines really like when your brain landed on my tongue. That was cool. Sorry, insert pro wrestler who's never done it before. I mean, unbelievable businesses, crazy to me. You know what I love about show business is that it's fair and kind..

"I've seen Eric around town a few times. He's a very recognizable fellow, but he. He probably wouldn't admit to this because he dumbs down his plane play kiss. Well, yeah, it's kiss. There's only so many. Yeah. I mean, it's not like you're doing like Neil pert fills. Yeah, you know, maybe really confusing. I mean they've got, but like he drums for Bryant, may, you know if you're driving Brian, May he's not using, you know. Sub-standard drummer, but I talking about the Astro physicist, Brian May will the guy who looks the Brian May who looks like Bill Cosby's accuser, Brian May from Queen. Yes, he's also an astrophysicist. That's crazy. He also designed instruments that went and tested. I think Pluto, like he has this crazy. Crazy career who else is like that? Well, Burr sticking Sohn bre sticking. Yeah, that's crazy that Bruce Dickinson is fully licensed jumbo jet pilot and holds like some world record for a solo flight or something like he's legit though. It's not like he's in the co-pilot see just like press the auto pilot button. He flies the ba- in the psycho Eddie, right? He's the, he's the pilot for for the seven, forty, seven, four, the band, and that's crazy that he can do three hour concert and then do a seven, eight hour flight. I can't do a twenty minute set and then drive somewhere like I'm John plane. I mean, one mistake and you're dead. Yeah, one of mistaken. Your album sales, triple. It's true though. It does. You know records. Yeah. Who was it who someone just passed away relatively famous in the music, maybe a rapper and it was like, literally the next day, their sales items were up nine hundred percent. So you know, like every eighties metal band is like, all right, who's expendable exactly who can we lose? We don't really need the drummer. Bobby right. Well, you gotta be you gotta. You gotta take out somebody big though. Like we lose Vince Neal. There's a lot more lot more motley. Crue records going off the shelf. Oh yeah. We lose who is the guy from Cinderella Hussein with them for a bit. Well, Tom Keefer. Right is that he didn't die. But if we lose him, that one record may be blips a bit more, but it's not going to feel the the frontman really kind of cells. I mean, if you hold catalog, do you lost Stephen peercy from rat? And hopefully we don't, but you know, they would probably. I think people have always heard round and round and maybe lay it down go, I didn't know that was rat and then they'll just well, the guy died. Let's. Click with Milton Berle in one of their videos. Here's an to other videos. He was in round and round and he was in back for more at the end when he comes crashing through the rocks he door on a motorcycle. And does a triple flip, was he a rat fan? No, his only I would know this. His, I think is nephew Marshall Berle managed rat. They got uncle Milton to be in the videos. But that's what made round and round such a great video was Milton Berle and drag, and and you know, there's a great. Probably on YouTube was where I saw originally where the makeup guys putting him in drag and say, okay, Mr. Berl the the bands can sit at the table and you're going to sit there as I'm Milton Berle God. Damn, you don't tell me where to sit and he was being serious like, oh, I love that. But I mean, that's probably helped made rat was the videos. Sure. I mean, you talk about a band that got lucky they popped right as MTV was popping, but then they also suffered the whole grunge rebuttal. Right. Didn't they one of their guys like like hanging billboards for awhile kicks, kicks kicks was the guy. The guy's job was to white out billboards and you know, because they were like, you know, cakes, that's k. i. is correct. Rats to twos w yeah, you can put the double t on the rent, but we'll never. They don't close. Your eyes was a big hit. And then blow my fuse cool blood. They never really had a huge hair or never enormous. Yeah, they were never mean they were like a enough z..

"Sure. Yeah. You think someone like him would just have you see on now? He'll talk about cats and wrestling with Billy Corgan. Yeah, flatter Billy Corrigan's I totally into pro wrestling. You know in Rogan's really pro wrestling guy, like he is just not his thing. I mean, he gets the commentate on real fight in right are to like watch Kamala and you know, the iron Sheik have a fictional match. It's all entertainment, but I knew the Bagai from superman to would not do that great numbers wise because he's not on social media. Really? Right. Yeah. Like five hundred followers on Twitter. So I sat Christ. You know, maybe getting a bigger name. I want to interview people. I want. Sure. Like, you know, the bad guy from roadhouse came on and we would. Yeah, Marshall Teague. Yeah. Yeah. Just tweeted at them said, hey, man, a big fan of the movie. I know you probably sick talking about it. Which I never really understood until like. All like every podcast I go on the first five questions about roast battle. Sure. If so, I get it now like everybody has that little bucket that they get put into that. How Simmons first context of you that's usually about all they have, you know, that's it. But I always used to be like before rose Powell came into my life. I was like, why wouldn't you wanna talk about roadhouse. It's the best like it's the best worst. It's the best for sure. Like everyone. It's like showgirls and I can't get anyone from showgirls on this podcast. Oh, I bet you can. They don't wanna talk about. I've reached out to, you know, 'cause I'm such a fan of that movie, but like you couldn't get like Patrick Bristow on Philly. Patrick Bristow would for sure do it. Which was he? He was the red headed gay guy. Love. Yeah, there's he's an old ground Ling. He's an old sketch, comedy guy. See I want his boss in that movie. I'm going to mispronounce his name, Alan. It's receiving. Rossini because he was like a serious actor LA law and always played a heavy and showgirls. He played like this kind of over the top gay choreographer. And I'm like, what? I would just love to tell me about that. Yeah, exactly. You're serious actor. What was it like when you got pitch that script were you lied to until it was a serious movie, that episode probably wouldn't do that. Well, because I'm assuming Mr. pardon my apologies to him receiving rushing probably isn't even on Twitter. Probably not. What's all promotion? A podcast. Yeah, yeah. If you're not on Twitter, if you not, I mean, Facebook's kind of dine out, so Instagram and Twitter like the for me anyway. The two big ones. Right? If you don't have someone who's like prominent on the episode will suffer. Yeah. Podcast shit too. Which ones? That's the plugs out of the quick question with my buddy Jonathan to douse key. We just started season two. We just I tuned sets on itunes and Stitcher and Spotify. You name a place where you listen to a podcast where they're also a part of the unpopular opinion network. I host a couple of shows over there. Mostly one about the band vonda called heart shaped pod. How's that one going to end? We don't know yet. Yeah, we what the real bang is. Gonna get a hard out for sure, and also host a limp biscuit podcast called three dollar pod, y'all because I lost a bet glimpse. I love. You know, I appreciate showmanship. Don't listen to music to go. Okay. That's an interesting chord chain. You know, let's like I like the the drummer coming in on the Phil and you know, I wanna be like I saw rat a week ago, two weeks ago this Friday, and I had a blast. Well, that's like your. That's your favorite band that right? It is, but like it's not like. And it's only two original members now, the bass player in the singer, but I don't think rats going to. Remind anyone of like dream theater or stream. Although I will say warranty MARTINI who's not in the band anymore, I will put him up against any guitar player on planet earth in terms of skills. But you know, dumbs down as playing for our did dumbed down was playing down down his playing for rat, will you know, like my friend is the drummer and kiss Eric singer. "The volume sounded like I was in one spot and they were a mile and a half down has to. That's what's great about this stuff is that it's all wild west. We're all figuring it out. The podcast will still the wild west. Absolutely. I mean, I still don't know. You know a lot of the intricacies of how to do one and you know, to be honest, I don't even know why. I'm so highly ranked. You know, it's been about a lot like the last six months. Nonstop is not a blip like, that's the thing you'll see a new shell come up. It'll take over the charts. You stayed there. So that means you do know what you're doing. Well, you know, I've been accused of hacking into items have you, you know, I'm pretty sure if it was that easy to. Yes. Yeah. And there's lots podcast. I won't mention names that all of a sudden they're one episode in and they're in the top fifteen. It's like, okay, that's someone who's like either they're podcast network or they themselves of got a manager who just pay, you know, right, you can. I mean, someone told me you can pay like fifteen grand to get into like the news and noteworthy section. To get into as you can do. And I've done this. I've, I've produced several podcasts over the you just Email them and you say, new podcast, love to be featured under new noteworthy works every time doesn't cost any money at all. Yeah. I mean, you know, but I mean there was one. I don't want to give away who it is, but maybe they didn't do anything. Okay. I have no proof that they sat there and bought their way in, but like they had never done a podcast before in all of a sudden, there's was a head of me like two episodes in and they're popular person, but it's like, wait a minute. How's that possible? That reeks of. Some tomfoolery does, but I also love the idea of basically the bringer show mentality of podcast, give us a bunch of money for the opportunity. No put it out people to listen to it or they won't. That's the whole point. I know most of my well, let me say not most, but like I know especially in the early days, I wanna have weird guest on. I wanna have the bad guy from superman to on not the main guy, not the guy. Yeah, the beard. Yeah. The great Jack O'Halloran and tweeted at them. This guy's not going to be on Twitter. It's gotta be in the seventies sixties. You know, he was probably forty or so when. Nineteen eighty. It was not a young man, and he got back to me and he said, can we Skype Mike? How do these can we do it over the phone like he wanted to do it? Do pay for your gas money? 'cause he lives, I think in Redondo or Hermosa. Okay, and sure enough. One day he came over and he's, I think he's in his early seventies huge dude still, and it was one of the best podcast I've ever had in my life. That's amazing. Almost three hours. I really didn't know a lot about him and it turned out he was a heavyweight boxer before his acting career and like he fought. I think George Foreman like he was a Jit. Okay. Yeah, that tracks he was scheduled if I Muhammad Ali, but he said Muhammad Ali wouldn't fight him because he's a Hugh. He's enormous. He's probably six, six. And you know back then probably two thirty to forty clearly the. Biggest heavyweight in the world, and then he got into acting wants the boxing didn't pay out that well form, and but he got into conspiracy theories and, oh point favorite show biz career is when you go from one thing to another to another, and then you just end up in the Jesse Ventura bucket. That's my favorite trajectory. But with him it was real. He wasn't doing schtick. He what he really believes like, you know, possibly the US took out, you know, JFK and shared it and you know, I mean, I don't really believe in conspiracy theories, but it's possible. I mean, I listened to rogue and all the time Rogan's only podcast I listen to because I like how he has such a weird but variety of gas..
