"Corruption That was good Wow No Nice Carly's winning this one Yeah Anyway I thought listen this is where being a liberal bites you in the ass I'm like don't be a xenophobic American open up your mind to new experiences and she grew up in Croatia How interesting Okay Charlie you wrote an entire piece You brought an entire piece called it's bad to an election authoritarian lunatic Because president I think maybe we have we've got proof of that now Yes we're all learning We're learning that Almost by the day Yeah I mean democracy has several rules They're not most of them are very simple One of them is don't elect people like that anymore Yeah Well I mean I sure hope that I was thinking yesterday I sure hope they play video of Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell right From January was a January 6th or 7th on the House and Senate floor I certainly wish they played that The night of the thing Yeah Yeah But you know because I think it just I guess depressing is that they are hoping that this time and it shows a little bit in polling that people do They forget It's only a year or whatever ago when people are like oh yeah what happened I mean are you how are you feeling about these hearings And what's going to happen starting Thursday I think I'm going to be there So I'm very excited about that I don't know I think they're necessary I think it's information the country has to have Now what's going to be disappointing is if the country has all this information on doing anything about it Which is what basically you're talking about now We were just talking about the attention We have the attention span of a fruit fly right now And we were just talking about the state by state all the fake electors and you particularly tweeted about text revealed GOP mission of breach voting machines in Georgia and you just did somebody give the AG a nudge Mmm um I mean that's what I was saying I hope there's one umbrella over all of this 'cause it's all one story because you're right you have Michigan you have Georgia but this happened in a bunch of states obviously It was a remarkably I mean it was a remarkably organized effort Inside the system attempt to keep him in office Yeah And as near as I can tell nobody's I mean except for you know Brad raffensperger and a couple of other people And nobody stood up against it Yeah I love that you you were talking about Peter Navarro's and arrested and you said any lawyer who takes his case better by a trank gun The man can not shut up I would say my favorite was Ari melber saying you know people can hear you right now right Let me explain the concept of television shows This is going out and spilling out right into people's houses Yeah I mean but that is part of the arrogance that's just extraordinary as they really assume they're all going to get away with this and they can talk about it right on TV I mean there's no question that Navarro is just the most obvious and blatant of these people But they all operated with the same level of confidence that he did Yeah You also by the way just Republicans in general We mentioned this already but Ron DeSantis announcing the special Olympics will drop their COVID vaccine mandate after Florida tried to find the group 27 and a half $1 million And you just said the virus bully strikes again I mean he also blocked state funding as we mentioned for a new tamper ray based type of a raise training facility partly because the baseball team spoke out against gun violence in the wake of ivaldi and buffalo I mean he's just such a bully First of all right Yeah he really is And when you talk about somebody who I mean hey look I don't think the state should be on the hook for building the Tampa to Tampa raise a new practice facility either I mean I think you know they're well off enough to build their own What is the point He punished Disney Now he's punishing them Right Political I mean he's going to demonstrate that he's not in anybody's pocket by punishing people for what they say and what they do in the political sphere I mean they're all vindictive bullies like Trump It's the party of vindictive bullies now I mean and by the way so speaking of hubris you quoted Louie gohmert again If you're republic you can't even lie to Congress for a lot of the FBI or they're coming after you And you just said we will not see his like again I mean that's really cool Thank you Yeah I don't know Marjorie Taylor Greene they seem to be talking about doing their best Gone only knows who we're going to elect in the fall Yeah I mean there are Marjorie Taylor greens out there that with whom we are not familiar yet We may wind up with congresswoman Sarah Palin Oh no Oh dear And Herschel Walker I don't even know what to say Senator walker Yes don't even know what to say I mean it's like a joke It's a bad joke right Like when you're like oh God he could actually be Oh did you see the new Raphael Warnock commercial It's fantastic because like all the cheap grifters in the Republican Party He was trying to sell a mist a magic mist that kills COVID What Right He said in this commercial you know right now I have something that can bring you into.

"It feels like it's the correct decision. So i'm really excited for what he can do. Here i think is efficiency. Numbers are going to be excellent. This year i mean i really do. Believe that he's gonna get a lot of really good. Looks with the type of gravity. The damian lillard and use of merkich create together. And then you're gonna bring in. Larry nance junior and potentially anthony simon's in that same type of action like i think he's in for for a really good year and i think he's gonna live up to that contract completely. Yeah i agree. I think i look at this with norm in terms of just talking about the shooting in general like even if you look at last year you can go up and down the roster and like obviously gary trent but like gary trank got traded for norm. You look at what the seam was an outside of dame and norman powell outside of damon. Cj and think robert covington to an extent depending on how hot is. because he's a very streaky. Shooter like okay. You look. Rodney hood was not very good from three. Last year i feel like teams really. Didn't guard him is really knocked. Party guarded out the three. You can look and say a lot of the bench unit. Outside of anthony simon's those guys are not getting guarded out to the line to an extent like even though carmelo was like you was a fine shooter last year. I mean good your last year like i never felt that he had the same poll. Because he's not somebody attacking off the catch like when you have a guy like norm who can attack off the catch. Like i think he's going to guard a lot differently and we're going to see that we already saw that last year so i agree. I'm very excited by that. I would also transitioned to like you. You're mentioning with chauncey. How are you getting a general feel for what is going to be like coaching style. Coming into this year. I think it's going to be a lot of taibu. I really do. There was an excellent article that came out and the athletic today from jason. Quick that really outlined how you know chauncey really committed from that front office oriented viewpoint of where he wanted to go with his career to getting into coaching. And a lot of to do tyler tyler who basically talk. There was a six weeks stretch during the pandemic. Where those guys taiwan over how to breakdown film go over everything how to really put xs and os on paper and on the on the white board and really go over. What they're seeing out there and i really think a lot of what the blazers have in place kind of aligns with what. Obviously you don't have choir. Paul george but as far as having a use of norwich and larry nance junior kind of filling those zubov roles and how how you attack the heart of a defense and how you create space and how you generate off your primary scorers and what they do as facilitators. I think there's a lot of stuff that's going to be in place here now. What i really do wonder on the defensive end because it's you know. Accountability accountability accountability. Is our here not a portland right now. and you know. That's fine coachspeak. But i really wanna know what happens. Like what are you gonna do. In damian lillard because damian lillard was like took a noticeably huge step back last year on the defensive and a lot has to do with what he has to do on offense but what happens if he's not putting forth the effort on defense. Are you really gonna bench damian lillard. What how's that conversation going to go. So i really i. I'm curious to see how he addresses the defense..

"We are now a very able to tap into that very direct a but we have to show this scientifically and i got home. Any cases of people using medicine for like twenty years and not using him anymore is no need to animal in all these autoimmune diseases about the inflammation side game production and all that they control it. They control the pain. They control all the symptoms and they don't need to medicines anymore and We want to prove this by signs. Because i think there is a big industry behind who wants to take medicine. So how much is their interest to to to get to look into a method which is natural doesn't cost anything anybody is able to do. And that's what we do. Yeah so that's what we do right now but maybe it's not so smart of me to say this all do mentioned this but i have no fear. I've no fear. I take this scientific Discover trip that we are able to tap into the autonomic nervous maria to the immune system and the brains back to the maybe the believe that we to every person in the world that we are able to do so much more within about his and we lost his believe that we unable to become happy strong and healthy. 'cause we got last in is sort of a system and we got confused because then you get dependency and now we turn around dependency and the disbelieve the discomfort into the ability by natural math it to bring about hey this consciousness of being happy as strong and healthy. That's my take and we bring about by scientific based evidence and so there is no speculation. Gonul and i love your study. I love you of seen thinks. That's good so all what we do. I think it's good because what do we want for our children. That's love i love. I think is composed of what you want for your child. Happiness trank and health. That's what i want from jail. Is that love. yes that's love. But now we will determine that here by scientific scrutiny by scientific results evidence and that's it and i call it crazy monkey. Sometimes we have made a song about it and crazy. Monkey is the brain down. The brain stem the primitive brain is very able to direct. Or it's about to fly food the faulk and the freeze very primitive. But it's like a reptilian. only react doesn't think but are because of our thinking. We are so dominated by our thinking. It doesn't get derived block flu so in that area in the brain stem ulta resides the pineal gland hypothalamus. Pete utada glad..

"I just missed out on going. I want to see it in the theater. There is no mention of josh trank. And i don't think that josh trank is interested in going back here. I mean there's too. Many people are interested in having josh trank direct movies right now. I have read further in the article. And it said that one of the reasons that there hasn't been a chronicle sequel. Sooner is because josh trank has been throwing monkeys in the ranch along the way anytime it gets raised in hollywood. And if i was him i did the same thing like look. What i did was was was a once in a lifetime thing. Don't ruin it right. I can see where he's probably thinking that but besides that so if it's not obviously he's not gonna trank who you'd like to see direct this movie if it's actually going to be a good script and actually going to do something more than just wash rinse and repeat the ten film by quentin tarantino chronicle to retire after that right. Just jokes guys. It's just joe. That's no that's a funny one to Anybody have any doesn't even matter. I don't know like the the only thing and also looking through the the the release on that. Max landis is not exactly someone who's writing movies currently Love him or hate him and water. People hate him. He's not He proposed a sequel as well and it was. Yeah nope this studio wanted nothing to do with it. So i i don't know it's even it's brand new creative team and so you guys are talking me out of it. I still think you could do something but i i be supervised. I'll be surprised if this actually gets greenland. Focus to be honest but it looks like they're developing scripted. Is okay anybody else. Have any last thoughts before we hit our main topic for the day. Go away okay. So original be original collider put out the thirteen most underwritten sequels of all time. I've run through them real quick and then and then see if anybody else if if we agree and if we have any other sequels who might want to add to this first on the list is scream for as nays knows if you know me yes i'll say so catherine says no j. says black. Philip rivers is biased. Surprise i have. I have no i have no on one. I i am blissfully ignorant..

"Not coming back for this. As josh trank the director he also had some some. Like how would you call them. problems with studios out of those accusations of him. Like wrecking a airbnb that he was staying at for fantastic four literal creative clashing creative. Yeah some literal thank you. I'm guessing both of them are not going to be involved. What are your thoughts on a chronicle to With the female point of view. I you know. I think if this were you know seven years ago i would be more interested You know if less time had passed after the first one. But like i feel like the time for chronicle sequel has come in gone. I'm not sure how big of a fan base that movie has kinda came at a time. You know when found footage movies were all the rage and so this movie was like. Oh what a found footage but superheroes was like okay cool and it was a nice spin on it but like now. I just don't necessarily need to see that same story. Play out with different characters. I i like an appreciate the idea that they wanna focus on female characters. But i just don't know that it's something that needs to be done. You know in that chronicle format anymore like just just go. Create something new. Yeah and the movie had michael jordan before he was like really big and I think it's a good movie but you're right like i like what what more can provide us with. I thought it was fun. How like the superheroes used like would actually like levitated. The camera in the air at little ridiculous But i'm like is the world clamoring for chronicle. I'm not even sure if like even people remember the first chronicle at this point yeah. I think that you're you're probably feel forgotten. Yeah okay. let's go from that side of the superhero universe. the found footage superhero universe to dc. James gunn just made the suicide squad at dc. That is out in theaters right now in. Also hbo max and There's been a lot of talk of like wool. James gunn return to make more dc superhero projects after gardens galaxy volume three marvel and disney redwood. We know the answer is most likely. Yes We already know that. He has been working on peacemaker which they spin off series focusing on johnson's character from the suicide squad But once guardians of the galaxy volume. Three is finished at marvel studios. It seems like james gunn is already making plans to work on some other dc comics projects after that He talked to the hollywood reporter recently about all things the suicide squad and of course he was asked if there was anything else cooking on the dc side of things and he said quote. We're dealing with a lot of different things. They're allowed different as happening at the same time. You've got the peacemaker show. Obviously than there are other projects. So we'll see what happens. We're always talking about different things too. So there's a lot of dreaming going on and dreaming is one of the most fun parts of movie making. We're dreaming about the different possibilities and we're trying to find the right dream that can actually we've itself into reality in the proper way so There's definitely something in the works. It's it's likely something that he can't talk about specifically at they're still developing at what's gonna come next But he this goes hand in hand with a little. Bit of a tease. You also had on instagram. 'cause every now and then he hops on instagram stories. Has vans ask him questions. And he provides you know sometimes helpful answer sometimes very vague any provided one of those vague but teasing ones when someone asks if there was a other spin off shows in the suicide squad in the works and he typed out maybe with some nervous bringing and shrugging emojis so there sounds like there's definitely something there as for you know kind of spin off. We're talking about if it would follow another character like peacemaker You know if it would be something completely different set in the suicide squad world. We don't know but with such a huge ensemble of characters. There's a you know a lot of potential there to do some interesting things and even though a lot of these characters die in the movie. That's not a spoiler. That's something that james gone has been very open about. Which is why the tagline for the movie says. Don't get to attach You can still do shows that take place before the events of the squad because these characters already have like established history In this universe even though we haven't seen a play out so you can do anything. Everything with these characters You around the time line of of this movie and still make it work so there's a wide variety of abilities. I think for me the most surprising thing here is you. Don't expect to filmmaker to be working both at dc in marvel at the same time or going back and forth You know this whole deal happened because marvel and disney fire. James gunn for gardens galaxy volume three. And he. you know in warner brothers for like you know you can do whatever you want. What do you want to do. And he came up with this movie. The fact that he after gardens guts volume three might want to go back to one of those in dc. I think is very telling to me because it. For years james has talked about like guardian spinoffs and all sorts of stuff and the fact that he's just going to be a producer on those which i you know isn't indicate there is no indication of that here like just because he's going to go back to he might go back to dc do more projects f that doesn't mean that he can't make more marvel movies. It just doesn't seem does it. Do you think it's possible that he'll go back like keep. Keep working on both sides of this this comic book war. Yeah i mean. I don't think there's any reason that he he can't do that. You know i mean The rivalry between dc and marvel is overstated. Its kept alive by fans and like gun can do..

"On this. Show that this. This series was making me wanna speculate right because that's what it's designed to do good at doing that. They made you guess because the cliffhangers was great. It was a mazda was a cliffhanger but there was like a yukon. Set yourself up with a direct message summation and to have one ago cost members out there being like. Hey we have luke skywalker level fucking cameo in the final episode. You conder- that you just can't. I'm sorry you just absolutely got any. Have you shave shea. Said the shade like elizabeth olten said that and then i'll nine i listen paul betty goes. Oh yeah. there is a character that i've always as an actor always wanted to work with my career and i'm going to get a chance to work with him later on in the series and he's obviously telling jerk talking about himself so you know like you can't start defies like that and then you have matt chapman then not before the episode drops writes the mind before he releases type in being like. Hey he actually ended a question to journalists being like. I know why poll said that i think he collects that us up to fail but like i just want everyone to temper their expectations that it might not be what you're expecting for the director of all nine episodes inside out the not before. The premiere of the finale drops is pretty wild. Give me josh trank flashbacks. A little bit. I think the what probably didn't help is the the chris evans necessarily because having him in the shire like obviously fan theories. Crossover with x men. Crossover fox chris barnes. Sorry chris wrong evan. also in america was yemen. You gotta like it's the ri- it's only for second. It's the split cabinet now. But i think like yeah it makes good for headlines so the marketing departments probably cheer the published departments probably charon. But the fans are all going to be you know. Obviously they're gonna assume the craziest things but at the end of the day. Marvel never gonna wanna crossover with those movies. I think same reason why they don't spiderman crossing benham because they have such protection of their of everything which is still like. I don't wanna get too far into it. Put these spiderman rumors like which seems legitimate. Now like i'm. I'm trying to tampa my expectations for that too because marvel of very protective of their properties. So in the end up being a burner jerk of course people are going to get let down like..

"You know. it's you know whether or not he's been taking a jail or proven anything. It's like dude. Eight different people and even the director of this movie. Come out and be like dude get fucked like get outta here. It just sucks. Because he's got such a great idea. He's a great great concept guy. He's really good at the concepts and the thing is win. Wind wind windows sexual allegations get leveled at someone like when they were leveled at stanley. No one believed that stanley was capable of such lands. Because he's like he's genuinely like presented himself as such a sweet person ride whereas like you know if these like allegations get leveled at someone. Like max landis who has you know who has no kind of like concept of being nice in public like being a good person in public. They just started much easy to believe. And like look. I talk about evidence and things like that all the time and you know. This guy hasn't been convicted. He hasn't been he hasn't been. There's been trialled as being not process. I'm gonna say that he did it. But i mean look the likelihood of him doing it is a little high out in someone like stanley like. That's all i'm saying like right right well and like you said he said such such absolute insane shit. Enjoy watching him. It's like man feel like i'm watching a predator. That's all i can say is. I gave me the creeps man. Let's talk about Josh trank very briefly so you already mentioned You know he kind of went off the deep end after fantastic four He he wrote that whole tweet about like this. This was my intention a year ago. i guarantee you the real ms. You'll never be released and you just kind of like dirt. It's it's crazy to me that someone who directed something served solid in chronicle when on to direct something like fantastic four and. I don't like. I actually believe that there was some studio meddling because i mean you know i've never seen it dirt. It is such a shit show it. I watched it and it is in his such a shit show like it is edited in insanely poli. Like half of the footage in trial was not even in the final film. It's like where was that that i really wanted to say. Like the thing is a shot at the at the end of the trail with thing jumps out of his plane and like lands the middle of this like insurgent camp and just blows up like coffee being asians and it's just like dude way was that i wanted to say about. This ended up being such a shit shuddered That you know like those accusations about josh trank like trashing. The set and things like that things that he would argue against. But it's like man. I don't under not because he went on to direct a musical Last year Way right star. Tom hardy which got mixed reviews. Actually mostly negative reviews. I haven't checked it out. But i really want to say josh trank comeback like a mainly because i like the director of that did chronicle. I'm sure his ms somewhere. I just think that he's he's bent out by..

"Was the one movie. I think a lot of people were really surprised at. You know obviously something that they had talked about her been rumored but they finally said that it is now going to be a part of the mcu that officially part of the mcu. They haven't mentioned anything. X-men yet josh. But they did mention fantastic for with john watts who directed the recent spiderman films at the helm. Yeah i mean. I'm i'm excited about this. Like i had high hopes for the you know the josh trank fantastic four and they ended up being incredibly disappointing. It makes sense like fantastic. Four honestly like had marvel and disney owned way back when it. it's one of the foundational films like they're the foundational family of marvel. That should have been done a long time ago. So i'm just hoping that like it's done in a way that really incorporates them into what's already been established with the mcu and you know on the subject of x. Men yeah. I was kinda hoping to see something from them. But you know we'll see we'll see. I'm sure they'll make some more announcements in the coming months and we already talked about in recent weeks about deadpool three signing up the bob's burgers writer. So you know. They're already starting something up there. They didn't mention that also in events. Tres day twenty twenty. So it's kind of disappointed by that. Or a surprise appearance by ryan reynolds per se. It's a great time disney investors. Say twenty twenty if you have any thoughts please like key. The richardson much props to you for your tire. Comments the whole way. I wanted to go ahead and say coming up next on the show. We have the folks from mass effect. Invent coming up per jennings name stuart and emily jacobson from mass effective. "Movies were the only two things to know. So no ryan johnson announcement. Do you think it's done with look you know. I'm just it's no mystery. I did not like the last night. But i love ryan. Johnson's work outside of star wars. There's been a lot of sort of buzz about. This is the official. The ryan johnson. Stuff ain't happening. This is the officials signal. But i do think we're gonna see content that they had if they did not mention it all during this investor call. I just don't think it's going to be ryan johnson's trilogy. I don't think that's happened. I would guess that ryan johnson would eventually directed episode of the mandalorian upcoming spin offs. Maybe but if you're ryan johnson do you really even have to put up with this shit anymore to you know. Is it just sort of like a better apart situation. Maybe i mean it's it's like to what's nice about like these mandalorian episodes. It's like we really don't know who directed them until like the end of the episode when it shows the director and so like you would watch an episode. And maybe you would be like. Oh my god. That was an incredible episode of the mandalorian. I loved it so much. And then all of a sudden all the last jedi detractors. See that episode that they just loved was directed by ryan johnson. And it would be kind of like you know. It'd be kind of like a cool. This pumping moment for fans of rain. Johnson got directed by george lucas. Just getting that was ryan johnson. I love how i love. How it's the swerve it's the classic ryan johnson. Or you think it's gonna go one way you get a zig zags fan boy rate right before. We see the artwork from the show. I do think he is. I do think it will still happen. He's very vocal about star wars on twitter. Still i mean even last week. He's still answering questions. And talk about star wars. And i think if he was completely out of the project he would just be done talking about star wars. I mean from what we heard. Originally he was writing a whole new trilogy with all new characters and all new places. And that's not the kind of things that are going to get people excited. I take an investors meeting. So maybe it's just on the back burner stuff. We'll see i mean it's it's bizarre. All the different things that have been brought up and have not come to fruition. The boba fett series boba possible boba fett movie from josh trank which got scrapped and all that kind of like boba fett material has kinda like bled into the mandalorian and then we didn't get the game of thrones guys doing. They're fucking trilogy. That's dead and so who knows what's going on with ryan johnson right now. I think he is just kinda like focusing probably on the nights out sequel and other things that he's going to do and maybe they'll get back to him down the road who knows but they never mentioned above. If that's been all. I have to think we're getting there and it just maybe soon. Because they've got the guts commercial morrison under contract they've got a slave one cockpit. They've got the costume. They got everything. Why wouldn't they feel that now. I don't think they are. I agree with what. Brian said on last episode. That that's not gonna be around much longer. I i said that boba fett could possibly die and then and then jaren takes over the slave one. That'll be his new ship..

"Get next for your next piece. Let's go with nine thousand nine hundred sixty one's last year at Marian. Bad French experimental film I Guess Guard I wouldn't say it's experimental but It's it's very much sort of the kind of Antonioni's style of or Brisson style of Trying to be anti cinema And it's probably the WHO the weirdest movie I could come up with That's one thing about capone very much bizarro. Cinema it's not really a mainstream film Which I get all also contributes to the negative response Marian bad is basically just a bunch of rich people in a big hotel. That's it's not totally dissimilar from Capone's Florida State And they're just like kind of being artsy French people and this one guy is like yo broad. I met you once or something. And she's like no. I don't think so all no. I'm pretty sure I did. Oh I'm not so sure. And then they have a lot of back and forth and there's a lot of Borderline mind bullshit. And it's a good movie. I should say it's a good film. it's not a favorite just because it's it's a little tough to sit through Whereas this is extremely entertaining from front to back But it's all about that kind of mental prison and You know it's it's not a horror film but it has a very haunting atmosphere that also reminds me of a story and so that kind of go story plus big house located somewhere And a bunch of people dressed fairly well while talking bullshit. Kind of gave me the vibes of Last year at Marian Bad And I don't really have any. There's not anything really deep to correlate between the two beyond that but I wouldn't be surprised Josh trank. Seems like a bit of a Film School Guy. Sure that makes any sense. And I I could see him pulling last year Marian bat out of his hat and be like all these references last year Marian right. Yeah I I wonder that makes me think I've never seen that movie but The way you talk about it it seems like the kind of movie that was kind of like at odds with its audience. Maybe a little bit you know throughout which is what I think that. Yeah this film that's antagonistic towards its audience. I think yeah for sure and I wonder you know this. This movie capone coming out. You know now I if if we hadn't had what's going on and it had gotten a theatrical release. I wonder what the response would have been. I wonder if if it would have been like way worse than even the mixed reviews at Scott and I have a feeling it would have been like one of those kind of movies. That that's kind of the main story is the walkouts and all that kind of stuff. It feels almost like A. I wouldn't count this as a puzzle pace but it almost feels like A. I got fingered. Yeah where it's like a really smart movie but a lot of people in the mainstream would not possibly understand what makes it smart. Yeah and not even by any fault of their own intelligence. Just it's something that is so out of the mainstream that it's hard to wrap your head around it when you're just going to a movie to see something specific you know Freddy got fingered. Of course you're looking at a silly comedy Capone you're looking at a gangster flick and you then you see the movie and you're like well not what I expected. I didn't expect Freddy got fingered to come up in this conversation but I'm glad I did if I can anytime. I can get pretty got fingered into a conversation. I will do so soon so I'll go with my next piece. I think there's probably more than one. David Lynch comparison that could be made throughout this thing. But I thought of the dinner scene in eraserhead And just how awkward that dinner is and then how just gross the food is and edges made me. Think of the dinner scenes in this movie and Capone and especially there's that one towards the end restarts like really staring at the food and I think it's a stake that's like bleeding and just just how like just disgusting. It is and how in his mind even worse than it actually is and and freaking him out and everything and so I just thought of that moment eraserhead I love you. That's such a good comparison. Even think about it. That's so good. Yes hundred percent youthful. I really want Josh trank today. It's actually I the my. I have like two or three qualms with capone even real criticisms just qualms. I wish it had gone. Just one step crazier yeah. I completely agree that this movie would be for me. This is like a like a three or three three and a half out of five for me. This would have been a solid for if it was a little crazier. I think yeah I gave it a four and I I I think. Part of that is just my general love of central performance And the the concept I it would be I. I would be just singing. Its praises non turn my twitter account into a capone Stana Katic. It just went like right now. It's one middle finger up at the audience. If it been to middle fingers up at the audience or like to middle fingers in an erection up at the audience that would have fucked. Done it for me. That would have just like best movie of all time injected into my fucking veins. Mr Trank Mel. Yeah Yeah so I. If it had gone like a little more Lynch ea a an you know like more dream stuff you know. Maybe the that that final dream sequence where he's just massacring people if it had gone just one step further we would have been in some serious. A glory lands at their hell so we got next. I only got one more by the way so. Wow okay well I e yeah. I'm coming though I I'm happy to hear so okay. I'M GONNA give two runner ups to my my shining moment because I actually had two other films on my left before I came up with the shining Those were the others and the changeling and they kind of go. Hand in hand with the shining their ghost stories I feel like capone's dealing with metaphorical ghosts More closely resembles the shining. But I think the lighting of many of the films more tint scenes more closely resembles the others which another movie where seemingly real people turn out to be something else entirely looking at Dylan And then The changing of course is also a haunted house movie about a lonely tragic figure And it was the first one that really came to mind just because the changeling is always the first ghost movie to come to mind Which I don't know if you've ever seen the changeling with the Amazing George C. Scott fucking great film. Yeah I don't think I've ever seen it certainly the other. Great Blu Ray that I recommend But I would say the something that I came up with early that I think might be a bit of a stretch was Ingmar Bergman's wild strawberries. You could also maybe go with a persona that could could make a case for persona but I think wild strawberries. It's about a man who is approaching death. I mean he's he's a he's old motherfucker and he goes on a road trip and kind of contends with his perceived past mistakes while encountering all these young people and he a lot of flashbacks And it's you know it's not a grim movie but the idea of someone reaching the end of their life and contending with their their errors that led to where they are now Really struck me and that was you know it's a it's a tough one again to really make a a good argument for it was the first to come to mind was wild strawberries. Gotcha yeah and I think. I've never seen wild strawberries but to to speak to those other two. I mean absolutely. That was kind of the first thing that struck me while watching the movie. Is that like Oh. This is actually just a ghost story. Kind of in you know in the way that it's being set up and the way the way that it's being structured and I think I mean I went to go directly to capone again. When did you realize that Matt Dillon wasn't real not until pretty far on I mean they kind of They manage to trick me with that for a little while so I didn't realize so I. I figured it out during the fishing trip. And then I had it kind of affirmed for me during the wizard of Oz screening. I think that was the part where I was like with just the framing and using wizard of Oz like a motherfucker. That mother fuckers. That was probably where it hit me. Too Yeah But upon re watching it So there's that's okay so it it cuts to the scene of Matt Dillon. Fucking some broad and he picks up the phone he's talking to capone says will be going that way and then it cuts back to capone sitting next to his radio and on the radio it continues the conversation that they were having and it's it's You know some Gangsta guy in a in a radio show talking about how he needs to go see capone and like Po needs or whatever to his lady friend and then as soon as that radio program kind of finishes up Matt. Dillon appears behind capone. And like I think like grabs the shoulders or something and starts talking and I was so mad at myself for not realizing my first viewing right as soon as that radio program came on that Matt Dillon was not real. That's interesting I. I like that a lot. That does seem like so clear but yeah I mean they did a great job and that will lead into my last puzzle piece. But what's what's yours so I was just going to talk for a minute about. Just how crazy we You know we've kind of we've kind of talked around it a little bit but Tom. Hardy is central performance in. This is in just the look of it and the the sound of it and just everything he's doing and in a good way. I was reminded a little bit of Marlon Brando and the island of doctrine. He's he's so like gross looking under all that makeup and he's just so big and so just the voice it's just what in the world is going on here and and I it doesn't necessarily work Dr Barreau but it works here and it's interesting to to go that big and real it into something that Kinda works in a way and I mean yeah I mean that make up is just unbelievable? That that's the thing that stands out to me. The most is that makeup. Yeah it's great and you know what another crazy thing is. I remember when that trailer hit all these mother fuckers on twitter were just like oh that awful makeup and also. There's a reddit thread. They dislike shitting on the makeup. And again that for eighty trailer but hit looks really good in the movie and it makes sense. You know. It's it's I feel like a lot of people criticized this movie for things that when you watch the Goddamn film are part of the film like right. Heart of the movie is doing so well. The kind of fucked. He's he's he's I think forty nine years old and he has like I mean he's basically an eighty year old man. Yeah that kind of blew my mind. When they said his age I was like cheese. Christ he is just fallen. Apart man and to be fair he doesn't look much like capone. It's a it's not a resemblance that exists but within the context of the film. And what we're presented with it looks right And you know continuing from that his voice which you know very mumbling.

memory lane was great there there was a lot of things that I was laughing at it give me like one of my you wouldn't get a tester I grew up with that yeah great like that I did not see it but I'm hearing nothing but bad things about Capone I'm not I love Tom hardy you don't get me wrong but I heard that this is like a gangster movie without a gangster is supposed to be like the last few years of al Capone's life where he's suffering from dementia and having problems controlling his bowels and all that kind of stuff I'm not trying to be funny I'm just saying it's it's it's not a thanks to a movie in the way that we would originally conceived it to be one but it is doing well now yeah it's another strike against Josh trank what it is another strike right this is Josh trank yeah I did Josh Josh I murdered the Fantastic Four trank yeah this trash okay how about some better news we know that Emily blunt I'm a big fan of her as an actress and Dwayne Johnson big fan of him as an actor they're working together on a superhero movie and it's headed also straight to streaming what can you tell me about that what following change ball and chain it's going to be the second release from the rock production company the first being red notice with Gallagher dell and Ryan Reynolds now he's teaming up with Emily blunt to bring the story of two super heroes whose powers only work when they are getting along and together but they are a married couple going through issue and their powers were on the bridge right when they need to save the world it comes from a great great comic book and the idea of the rock ringing this type of star power Netflix group again that Hollywood it is abandoning the traditional mold and going in it worked giving it directly to us where it can live on forever it really channel Netflix the Mandalorians season two it's almost like they're they're giving out this news they're rationing it out week by week so they can stay on people's mind in the meantime while waiting for season two to eventually come out of the venerable actor Timothy Olyphant has been rumored to join the cast what do you think about that I like him as an actor I've liked him ever since I first saw him in in I think was Die Hard four as the villain I think he's very solid and he's done some other TV work but I think he adds the edge to the Mandalorian took Pascal I mean he is great if we don't get to see a face yeah and and there's so many different characters that they are adding to the show B. despite all the bad you you've got of course our very own dog then there's word that the character here at the doing the will be making a parent you know from the Star Wars rebels there's so much that they were heating up about Mandalorian to get into which is not coming out until October of this year they are actually our building we actually do know someone who is all set who would be involved with a lot of issue who portrayed the job while she is there they're getting busy right now so we have coming but I do believe that this is all a part of just keeping people interested in high because there are other nap there really isn't anything new they keep announcing new every yes you know listed right there with me and Lauren because it was other news that you were talking about how Boba Fett in without getting too geeky because the artists may not understand the whole Mandalorian history in the Mandalorian armor which both that's where but we're not sure that he's a Mandalorian but that character but with that everyone knows from Star Wars is supposed to be a part of season two as well how is he supposed to fit into this because I thought he died in return of the jet I would use that before the Mandalorian yeah embalmer bad for those who do not know he did survive falling into the start of the the Sarawak it and the actor who portrayed Jango Fett who would be the proto type the malt upon which all of the crimes were created in Star Wars what with the not to call wars what was the state again attacked Iran's total right on the water okay here back attack okay I don't like it but I don't like it I have no respect for that but the prequel but do more more into play jungle bed is returning and many people wanting is this going to be too much for that there is would jump there up here and double beds in the theory overshadow everything about the man to learn we come to know and love to see you don't want well I I like it I'm all for bringing back the good Star Wars stuff and incorporating incorporating it with the new and good Star Wars stuff I don't care about van ray I'm here at general Hux I don't care about anybody who's connected to episode seven eight nine not anything prior to that like Boba Fett week integrating him into this Star Wars universe I am all for something I am not all for you probably heard the rumors which are now getting to be almost real in the sense of this may happen Mike Tyson and Evander Holyfield are talking seriously about coming out of retirement Mike Tyson's fifty three inventor Holyfield fifty seven you're talking about fighting again for money somebody's gonna die I "I'm great okay let's begin with components this is a biopic of the famous mobster Al Capone he's played by Tom hardy the film is directed by Josh trank here's a quick do you know what the differences between Adolf Hitler now coupon it was dead almost like a king in Florida P. as full blown dementia I have reason to believe it could all be an elaborate act what's this about we have information that your client may have tucked away a very large sum of money Hey Kristi let's begin with you I guess this is a biopic is it true to the facts as we know them who knows and who cares that's not what matters here at all what matters is this insane performance that Tom hardy is putting in and I so wish that clip had included whatever he's doing with his voice he sounds kinda like Billy Bob Thornton sling blade he sounds kinda like Gollum is leg Ravalli and nasally and I don't know is it supposed to be funny I truly don't know it is so fascinating movie is so terrible but it must be seen and Tom hardy you know he is notorious for really giving it his all she digs deep he he delivers he's very physical performance very method the race performance is kind of in the tradition of a Marlon Brando for example and I'm really baffled by the choices he's making here this this takes place during the final year of al Capone's life when he's just rattling around this giant tacky Mediterranean monstrosity of a house in Florida and a lot of it is in his imagination you know a lot of it you don't know whether it's the result of dementia or him remembering something that truly happened and Josh trank this is probably a rebound for him from what happened with his version of the fantastic for a few years back he wrote it he directed it and I understand the very personal project for him I just do not know what he's going for here because there is so much unintentional hilarity well part of that just from looking at the trailer is the make up on Tom hardy there's a lot of old man make up there's a lot of him soiling himself with some extremely vivid sound design yeah and again is that supposed to be funny is it a poop jokes are made to feel sorry for him it is very very confusing a lot of weird choices here and yeah I guess I gotta say like you gotta see this our car after car crash of a movie you have to watch do you agree Kelly that you have to see this you know I have to disagree with Christy I I do think the movie is terrible but I I do not think it must be seen I I think it must not be seen this movie is incredibly grotesque there is a sort of violence got a logical theme that runs throughout the film as Capone's body is deteriorating and declining he's having strokes he's going further and further into dementia and he has these really violent flashbacks and it just feels like a very angry despairing film to me I don't I didn't find it really funny at all although whatever Tom hardy is doing is is fascinating for sure but it's more of an interesting insight into sort of this young filmmakers career and sort of where he was mentally and emotionally after everything that happened with Fantastic Four which was this really high profile Marvel film art through the box that went down in this blaze of incredibly bad reviews and studio interference and rumors about what was going on on set and he was he quit a Star Wars movie so it kind of gives you a little bit of insight into that perhaps what he was thinking and he said that Capone has banned a on you know obsession for him since childhood so it's just like a really strong range I mean I did not enjoy the experience of watching this film at all it is quite nightmarish at least it was for me but if it does anything successfully it does place you in that you know demand job lines that you know gripped by these like horrible violent memories of all components so if that sounds like something that you want to expiry dates then go for it but really I feel like this movie is kind of like a big middle finger at the establishment I will say if I if I may add Linda Cardellini is actually good in this and what she's trying to do as al Capone's wife is really tough because she tried to deliver an emotionally grounded performance opposite just this wild man like Tasmanian devil that she has to act with issue trying to bring realism to it and she her character deals with so much of verbal and an awful emotional abuse and she is good but she's like a totally different movie from Tom hardy but that's a cliche and all these mobster movies young now okay so that's a definite skip on Katie's part thanks you know if you want to see what the hype in the craziness is all about like via could DO is I can't give you stand by it you know black and if you dare where would you see Capone Capone is available on Amazon prime and Google play for a forty eight hour rental it I think it's about ten Bucks all right let's move on to how to build a girl all Katie saw this one and this one seems completely different this is based on a journalist Caitlin Moran semi autobiographical novel also titled how to build a girl and here is a bit from the trailer Morgan identity.

Stand your ground case that we will tell, you about also this Raymond James story I know this interest you in particular Aaron outrageous, outrageous outrageous Moakler I just like I understand like when people go. To a football game they want to enjoy a smoke here in there after a drink we gotta step. Through exactly so, you can't. You can't smoke anywhere on the grounds of, Raymond James anyway Sins are anything what about. Outside the stay outside the stadium. You can right I would hope in the, parking lot come up to me and you know and friends while. We're partying because you. Know. The the little. Vaporizer pens the e cigarettes can't even have those in there Those sometimes the puffs, of smoke that come from those whatever it is Lot of lies I it's it's. It's insane it looks ridiculous to me I'm not even sad about that but like sometimes, I'll think someone has a rice Krispy treat. And get around the corner and it's just a giant, cloud of life To. Me it's less about it impacting me in any way I just think it looks stupid, when it's this giants puff of what is Those crazy Researches. Those. Obnoxious okay those aren't the ones I'm talking. About, cigarettes yeah the things people use to get off. The cigarettes a. Believe me I understand the smell of cigarette is gross for some people if you're used, to it if you're going out to an event where, people party you should have a section one segment section where somebody can go to don't go by. That section if you're not if you're not into the cloud, of smoke stay, the I I could see doing, a section maybe What, parking what are, you going to run and keep smoking But. Sex Sandwich if you Jewish And watch TV. The trifecta altogether We also have no you who's gonna join. Us in the seven o'clock hour there's this USF football stadium study USF plays. Their games at Raymond James stadium there's been a lot of talk to maybe USF. Will have their own stadium soon doesn't sound like that's going to be the case at least for for quite a while Look I I think the Ray j. part is fine my question to Noah was and he didn't have a great answer because we had him on about this on PM Tampa Bay earlier in the week was what is the transportation. Situation like because one of the things? That came up is that sometimes Raymond James stadium isn't as filled up as they'd like it to be? Because a lot, of students at USF, can get there and USF is becoming more of a campus where people live. On campus some people from out of state than on the car so what. Is the shuttle transportation situation could that help get more people from the campus to. The game days to bolster the attendance on campus so you know around the surrounding parts Apartments that's what I did, when I went to USF was I lived off campus, on apartments right around, right around the university so so if you're going to keep. It at Raymond James stadium and you want to. Get more people there is that a way that you. Could improve things untold eventually they do get. A, stadium on campus maybe a little but like it's more the inconvenience, of having, to go from Fowler wherever I never that inconvenient when, I went there we? Went to, all the games it wasn't that big of a deal but. I, but I could see if there are ways. Where you can shuttle more people there quickly and easily than maybe that could help a little bit you never gonna fill up Raymond James stadium at a US football game or the? Kids? Could just wake up from their dorms walk down the street put, on a pair of crocs and go to the game let's let's take it one step at a time let's make it easy as possible for these college students that's what we're trying to do coming up next we'll cover some of the top stories.
