"And Shrek too. All right, you can't go wrong with the Cheddar biscuits. All right, folks, gotta take a break here, 8 four four 747 88 68. We're jumping right back into the political fray here. We're gonna be talking about polls looking at some key races around the nation. How are things looking for Republicans in your neighborhoods? We're going to be taking your calls as well. 8 four four 747 88 68 that again is a toll free telephone number that's 8 four four 747 88 68, and by the way, while you are taking a little break for the bottom of the hour to do this, why don't you check out where to our website? What marked the page and download our newsletter comes out every afternoon? Great stories from Caleb park our great editor. We'll be right back, America. All right folks, welcome back to the ton science radio program. So very happy to have you with us today. Oh, I've got to play this audio from Raphael Warnock. The senator from Georgia going toe to toe with Herschel Walker. Cut number 11. No matter what happens next month more than a third of the nation that would go along with this is reason to be afraid. America needs to repent for its worship of whiteness. On full display, all right, so we're getting a pretty good indication of what the Democrats are running on. Everything except for the issues that matter the most to Republican voters and to independent voters and to Democrat voters. I want to go to the patriot mobile news maker lines really honored to have two of the best pollsters in America with us. Matt towery is the chairman of insider advantage and you see how our friend Sean Hannity show quite a bit and Robert Haley joins us he is the chief pollster at Trafalgar group and we mentioned their polling data just about every single day of this program, Matt Robert, good to have you with us today. Happy to be with you. It's great to be with you. All right. And it's significant, man. Only Sean Hannity gets us together. I'm just honored here, yeah. You're absolutely right about that. Let's start with you, Matt and then Robert. I want you to jump in here. Matt, how are things looking overall for Republicans as we head into the midterms? Well, I think Robert would agree because we are among pollsters, good friends as well. Something happened about three weeks ago, long before any of the excuses that you're hearing now as to why votes are shifting. And we started seeing the races start breaking for Republicans in a big way around the country. And it has accelerated. It's really accelerated last week. And so if you look, for example, I mean, don't forget our polls. Look at the betting odds now. I don't bet Robert doesn't bet. Now that one of us would. But if you look at the odds on all these predicted sites and the overseas sites, everything has shifted in favor of the Republicans taking both the House and the Senate. And it seems to me like there is not just a wave developing, but potentially it hates to be trite of tsunami. We're seeing races move very quickly in places that we have not seen Republicans do, particularly well in many, many years..

"Let's talk about Fernando Alonso next because it was great day for him, his first podium since 2014 Qatar's cheering, unfortunately, you can't see that because of course there's any podcast, but he's looking very, very happy. I'm going to start with you because you just look so excited about this. Well, as you well know, one of GP racing's contributors. One of our great contributors is Andrew Benson, the BBC sports chief Formula One writer and also chief Fernando Alonso, fanboy. Has anyone checked in on that? Well, he was keeping it together in the Christian Horner press conference. He was there, you know, he wasn't, you know, he hadn't painted his face and, you know, popping the champagne cooks, but I imagine he was very excited. And yeah, you know, great, great race for Fernando and his first podium finish since I tasio nuvolari was a boy. Oh, no, sorry. Hungary 2014, very different circumstances. But what a great and very ruthless drive just his opening few corners. That was literally the way he defended his position, certainly against max, and then went around the outside of Pierre gasly to claim what was then second place. Around turn two, just amazing, and put me in mind of no less an eminence than Charlton Heston when he'd said that they would pry his rifle out of my cold, dead hands. You know, he was not going to be parted from that podium position. It was very remarkable. I spoke to some of the Alpine team after the race and they said that they were literally like shaking with anxiety over whether those ties would hold out. What did you think? Yeah, I can imagine. No, it was a fantastic drive is called a set of the brilliant first lap. And that really set him up well. And yeah, I mean, the alpena this weekend has just been so hooked up. And even throughout qualifiers, I think cracky, where's this pace come from? And they've been in a really good groove and yeah, Fernando, I think just, okay, yeah, the penalties helps them a little bit move up the grid, but he just took full advantage of it. And I really did wonder like, okay, oh, I'll think you're gonna be able to keep pace with like say the edit McLaren's, the Ferraris Norris and science behind, but then yeah along so what I think like a 9 second buffer or something you built up to Norris quite early on. So it was quite clear that he was going to top that midfield fight, and it was really a question of would Perez or Bottas be able to be able to catch it. And boss has obviously had his puncture otherwise, yeah, he probably would have got that place. And then I think the deciding moment though was when Red Bull switched Perez to a two stop strategy in Paris claim over the radio immediately after he stopped and when I think he made a mistake here like what are you doing? And his engineer told him, no, no, don't worry, they're going to struggle towards the end. And obviously, he did take huge chunks of time out and without the VAC yet. I think I might have been able to get there. But no, I think Fernando is fantastic. It was nice hearing over the radio as well. Saying I'll tell Esteban and east to defend like a lion. From Hungary when it was Alonso who defended to protect aachen from Hamilton, say he could win the race, and yeah, it was a really cool moment. I think that Fernando, yeah, okay, he's been an I'll admit as well. When he announced he's coming back to F one, and I was like, why? You're not going to be world champion without being. You said McLaren to those difficult years. Well, if I'm not winning, I'm not enjoying it. Why? But he has come back and he's really enjoyed himself and now he's back on the podium. And the competitive hunger of him is just absolutely phenomenal. So now I really, really good drive. Despite sep check off to the rice and obviously calm down a little bit and he said, no, I do understand why they did it and he said that it would have been risky going for the one stop because we stopped so early. Yeah, we could have been in a similar situation with a tire failure. And he kept all of it off by saying, but if anyone was going to deny me of podium, I'm really glad it's Fernando. He deserves it. And I thought that's a really nice touch. That is a nice touch. That's very nice touch. What about Esteban O'Connor as well? Because of course he came home 5th, I think it was, and it's a solid day for the team as a whole. Oh, hugely, because Alpine alpha towery went into this weekend tied on points and that battle for 5th place, which is obviously, I mean, you might think, well, who cares about finishing 5th? But the stakes involved for the constructor championship in the prize money involved is massive. And even like talking to team members, I won't say from which of those teams. But I was talking to one of them on Friday. And they were so saying like the bonus money they said between us finishing 5th and 6th is actually like it's a decent amount where it's like, I really want us to finish 5th. So everyone's invested. But yeah, I mean, and again, that I think is why it kind of compounded things for poor API gazley and for the authority team because they came away empty handed from a weekend where they had a car starting on the front row and Yuki had been pretty quick. And then Alpine much as they did in Hungary, they seized the moments quite one of our esteemed colleagues, and managed to maximize the opportunity that was given to them and came away with a hall of 25 points, which is massive. So it does kind of make you think, okay, is that battle now over? Like, can alpha tower fight back with two races to go, it's gonna be really tough because we've seen alpha target sort of making roads and making roads and recently it was like, okay, well they are the quicker team. It's a master of time until they do get in front and pull ahead. And Alpine to put a complete stop to that now. And a lot of that is down to Fernando Alonso rolling back the years with a brilliant display. And I've also another thing without wishing to ramble on too much longer. He's had fun this weekend. I said after qualifying that apparently he told the engineers, he was like, can you just fill it up with much fuel as you can? Let me just drive it all night. I'll drive that track all night. You really, really enjoyed himself, so yeah, really cool story. I really loved ocon's composure. Having been told, you have to do everything you can to stop Perez getting by you. Elbows out was the fries. And then, of course, Paris just drives by him under DRS, and he must have just kind of thought, well, you know, not going to be able to seize my moment here, am I? There's no moment to be seized. But then rather than capitulating a fought back all the way through to just beautiful and ultimately it wasn't to be. But the fact that he tried it, I kinda thought it good on you, because that is basically real racer material. So on passes, you try and pass them back. You don't just sort of sit there and go, oh well, that's it. So yeah. Thoroughly dependable. A very well done to Alpine to both drivers, as he said espan as well putting on a good show in doom. Doing what he could to support his teammate. I was very impressed with that performance this weekend and happy to see. See the progress they've made. Of course, as we've touched on already after, on the other hand, not a good day so much. What do you think that means for the battle between them to in the constructors? Because we've only got two races left. And it's all swings around about in the season. But what do you reckon for the remaining two loop? Honestly I think it's over. I think barring like a crazy racing Jeddah, which looking at that track layout may be possible, I think it's such a big point swing that yeah, it's gonna take something very big valve for tariffs to be able to recover that gap. So yeah, I mean, it's a bit of a shame. It's nice when we sort of go into the final stages of the season and there's sort of like tied on points or neck and neck to clean Abu Dhabi. But I just think this has been such a knockout blow by.

"I've been part of the political establishment at some point and and it's true. An enormous amount of money flows into the national institutes of health with saudi runs. One of the divisions and that money comes in from correct companies because in fact. Nih has gotten lots of patents by genetically engineering various viruses and so they do get an enormous sum of money Coming in all the time. I want to read you something based on What you gentlemen have said. This is a quote by dr anthony. J. he was in a conference in twenty. Seventeen actually was a conference about possible pandemics and let me read you. The one sentence that foul she said in twenty seventeen quote there will be a surprise outbreak. Now he said that in twenty seventeen so i think he had a good sense of reality and by the way on march eleventh twenty twenty. He gave testimony out of congressional. Us congressional hearing where he lied to the public and to congress to the world because what he did he intentionally inflated what we call the infection fatality rate of the new china virus. He gay he scared everyone. He said that people that the towery rate from the china virus would be ten times worse than seasonal flu fact turned out to be a complete lie a complete lie. There's only a small segment of the population people. Generally over the age of seventy. They'd have a significantly high infection fatality rate. The rest of the population does not. So that's appoint most of the population in the us and around the world do not need a vaccine to protect themselves because even if they get kovin it does not not in fact there's a benefit of being infected. You do not get seriously ill. You do not die if you're in the majority of people but once you do get is natural. Immunity and articles have been published left and right in the last week or two got natural. Immunity is more effective by the way against the covert virus then vaccine immunity so all the people about one third of the us population. I can tell you have natural immunity. They had gotten infected at some point. It didn't get seriously you. They didn't go to the hospital and they didn't die. So the question is why. Are we mandating vaccines. Not only in the us. But in so many other countries when most of the populations in the countries do not need the vaccine. Well that's a very good question so there must be something that is You put it down to money and the prophets to be accrued from the sales of these vaccines through our various governments and so forth but There has to be an agenda behind the push to make sure that everyone is vaccinated. Because it's too aggressive. And like you have pointed out there's too much Evidence from epidemiologists and virologist and all the people that work in this area to attest to the fact that natural immunity is far superior to anything that a medical intervention could suggest so. There's got to be an agenda now. I've read articles. About how darpa and i've actually watched the lecture of allegedly from a electric took place at darpa facility. And they a. There's a claim that it's meant to delete the gene from our genetic and it's this killer mona mine. Transporter two gene..

"This is a circuit that he's raced on many, many times. He has a lot of experience. And this car seems hooked up. He seems to have got a really good setup in that rebel. And so he looks, he looks quite comfortable. And that sort of like precipitated in having that fastest time in FE two. So all four of them really could be in the mix. Obviously, I'd probably swing in favor of one of the Mercedes getting the fastest time. But we'll have to wait and see. It's definitely going to be between those two big guns if you like. And moving on to the battle for third in the constructor championship, Ferrari were looking quick today where they're both drivers in the top 5 and FP one. Despite a spin for Charles, but then in FB two Lando was a second fastest with Daniel 5th fastest. So the tables turning there a little bit between at the two teams. Ferrari have obviously recently given both their drivers that upgraded package, and it seems to have had a positive impact on the car performance. Can you tell us any more about where those gains have actually come from? Yeah, so one of the things Ferrari's done is it's reconfigured. It's battery within the power unit. And both drivers took new power unit components over the last couple of rounds and Ferraris just sort of seemed to kick on. And having had a look at the long run times towards the end of FB two as well. The two teams Ferrari and McLaren have looked really, really close. Both sort of running in the low, one minute 42s hymen one minute 41s. They look to be on a par. You wouldn't say that the circuit the Americas is one of the circuits that is best suited to the McLaren because, you know, you have the towards the end of the lap, the sort of reverse Turkey Turner if you like, which is sort of 1617, that kind of area. It's not great at those particular corners, and you wouldn't expect the McLaren to be sort of so good at navigating the first section. But that's one of the sort of areas where the Ferrari Ferrari really excels. It just sort of seems to ride those curbs really, really nicely. I say that because science did have a little bit of a moment towards the end of FE two. But they seem very, very evenly matched in the sense that they're producing similar lap times, but their strengths do vary. And so, again, this battle as well, like the Mercedes Red Bull one, this is one that's going to go down to the wire as well. Third place, it doesn't, you know, it seems like a little bit of a consolation prize, but with it comes prize money and all of that kind of thing. And a little bit of bragging rights as well. But yeah, the two teams seem very, very evenly matched. Now, moving further down the pack. It was a tricky day for Fernando Alonso today. So I want to touch on him for a moment in FP one we saw him stopping on track pretty early into the session. It brought out the red flag and then in FB two, he had a spin ended up in the barriers at turn 19. He was able to drive back to the pits, but going back to that first incident in FP one. Do we know any more about what the issue was with his car? We don't quite know what the problem with Alonso was in FE one at the moment. But yeah, it was very tricky day. They did manage to get the Alpine going at the end of the end of the session. So he was able to get some laps on the board. And then, yeah, that's been towards the end of FB two. Just spun it turn 19, which is catching a lot of drivers out. And yeah, sort of when managed to get it sort of rearwards into the barrier and didn't do too much damage. You could just kind of scuff an end play and I'm sure there'll be a few other little bits of ancillary damage that Alpine will have a look at and get fixed up for tomorrow. But yeah, it looked like a very, very tricky day for Alpine. And we'll have to sort of wait and see and see if Alonso is able to shake that off and kick on an FP three and get prepared for qualifying in on Saturday. Yeah, we'll see how things unfold for him tomorrow. But sticking with those at midfield teams for a little while, Alpine Aston Martin alpha towery, Alpine currently leading in the standings on a 104 points with alpha Terry behind on 92 and then Aston Martin trading behind a little on 61, what were your thoughts of their performance today? And how well do you think each team will be suited to this track? It's very, very curious in that battle because one of the things I saw on the F one feed was that alpha towery was the third quickest car according to the the performance indicator. But it didn't really pan out that way. Out of the two teams coming out of FP two Lance stroll was obviously the quickest out of those three midfield teams up in Aston Martin, after touri. Going P 6. I'm going to get a really clean running on the soft tire during the quality Sims. So Aston Martin seems to be relatively at home. You know, obviously, it's a sort of similar design ethos of the Mercedes, so obviously from Mercedes does well, then you would kind of expect us to Martin to have a good run too. Avery looked a little bit at C to be honest with you because Pierre gasly only, you know, we usually expect him in the top ten. He's a fixture in the top 6 in qualifying and he was only 12. In FP two, so yeah, the car didn't look that bad on track. It looked, you know, relatively benign handling. But it just didn't seem to sort of have the pace. An Alpine.

So yeah i would say unfortunately but we've been surprised full. You never know things could jess. What did you think. Do you think antonio time is Out for mayo and do you think that if it is up the that's fair. Yeah just been too many mistakes. When a sunday especially on the opening laps that have again taken him from a points position which for alpha is everything especially because williams had georgia's p to they need to be grubbing every point that they can get to be able to have any chance of staying in a decent position for championship prize. Money the today you caught full that it was all my slug off Tweet looks like tiny is out and then on saturday like bomb. Two weekends in. I'm gonna get into key three insane. Performance opening lap see lighter away so Done and that's not what the team needs. The team needs stability stay. Yeah i think i think. When we've been death for quite few seasons now started good job again. Maybe we could save outreach on the same. I do not anticipate him getting a contract. Two hundred twenty and with a positive note. There's a certain throwing hyper call for just around the corner that needs drivers so he might have some Some uses that he suggesting next steps even though he is not formally been announced that he would not be retiring and we hid in with grip lawns for him very considerable bus bath. Thank you aiden now. We have very little time left. Because as expected the main stories have greatly dominated the tossed. But let's talk about a couple of other teams before we wrap things up. Less default ferrari Nfl for like we should talk about. Ferrari i want to use Russell points finished didn't really get much time as we said because the top stories dominated and towery because they had double d. Nf let's stop by. Let's guard he wants to take ferrari fast a little bill in the forgettable side which is not what they want for the The home race but finished fourth and signs in sake acquired the pace to much leclair. Who did actually have. Some good signs is in strong pace in middle. Stint as well and i thought he might be one of the big benefactors from the From the safety car periods brought out. But i was. Actually i think he got the max out the call to be on his few seconds from val three cats peres at bay and then selling just behind him as well finally over his team and considering the and down weekend declares high with the engine braking issues i think it was in practice in also having a bit of a a nightmare. Well at one point wants to come in quite saying why he wants to boxes. Well on. Well so. I think the client will be happy with a for shame not to get on the podium in their home race. It's coming. i mean look ferrari. This time last year they would have grabbed this in the. I think if you told them they would always want more they to be one. And i think the clo- will be happy with that signs probably not happy. What left with a little bit of wanting to do. But i'm not sure why. Science couldn't quite match leclair this this We candidate as any more on that. I think they'll take a full physics is most of the points bots crucially mclaren one. Take that is the big deal is the big issue if it being a normal mercedes staffan then i think for our. It'd be much happier with that than they. Probably on designs one nothing. His big.

"He did for a bit, but no, not the moment. He has had some great results this year. Some of them is all to keep and subtly has not been all love to keep but there we go. Man, so yeah, I'd like to see guys that go elsewhere, but it's just a matter of trying to get your foot in the door somewhere else because all the seats are taken for a number of years. Beloved after harrelson does retire after 2023 after his current deal ends. Why not go? Why wouldn't they go for him? He's proven he can do absolutely miracles in the alpha towery. But we'll see what happens, maybe Mercedes will have another young gun who comes up in the meantime. I don't think they do. They've got they've got Frederick vesti, and then everyone else is like proper junior formula. So unless vesti really pulls something out over the next couple of years. And even then agree , isn't it? These are three. So the best if you move swift to next year and then does a year in F one in 23. I can't see Mercedes putting him in that team alongside Russell after just one season. So the door is open. If Hamilton leaves, but then would they go for Verstappen or would they go for? I mean, Alonso would probably still want to drive at that point. Oh my God. Yeah. We can fantasize about this all we want, but yeah, for now that it's going to be Russell and Hamilton next year and that Mercedes Benz but yeah, we'll see what happens with Gaza. I hope he gets a chance at a better team, but I don't see it for a couple of years probably. I'll be honest. Anyway, those are all the drives we've gone through. So I'll start with you, Aaron, you mentioned very briefly. You have your own podcast the 5 red lights podcaster. What is that and where can people find it? So it's on YouTube. I do race previews, which you've joined me on one for the cursed Belgian Grand Prix. The race that wasn't here. The race had never happened. Then I do a race review where I write everyone's performance to a driver of the month vote because I have a real problem with the driver of the day. Although actually drive the day today was accurate. So make it that way you will. And then I do a few other bits in between. I'm on Twitter and I'm on Instagram so you can follow me on Twitter, 5 red underscore lights. And on Instagram, it's 5 red lights, and then you can find me on YouTube as well, just search 5 the number 5.

What a great way to send us off into the month long summer break. Yeah pretty great. I was off on thousand City for race any overtaking. It was really good. Let's take it to the news. I did not end up catching the actual podium ceremony. Oh do scary. How we're yeah. Tell me about rob. No i mean like so hell like every driver seemed out of breath after the race but it was like hot. It was humid. You kind of expect that. But also i think we're also used to these guys like sort of bouncing back likely. They're they're incredible athletes. You know they you out of the car. They look completely gassed You see in five minutes later. They've they've successor. Recovered hamilton was having trouble speaking during the interview he was breathing so hard And then on the podium ceremony his body language was just all wrong He was desperately like Like slamming water But the thing that really scares shit out of me was a point where you know. They changed their hats On the podium. When he bent down he was just bracing himself in a pair beholding himself up on those ridiculous giant champagne magnums. They add like he was like using it as a basically impromptu Like crutch to keep from falling over and then got back on his feet and then during the whole part with they spray the champagne. He couldn't shake the bottle he just stood there like frozen on the third. Step of the podium Just sorta like rocking it back and forth and not moving like it was. He looked bad. He looked on while it was. It was alarming because it was like it was one of those things where you would see someone. You're seeing someone in distress. And that's kinda how it read and it appears that indeed. He wasn't distrust. yes danny. What is this article from autosport. Yeah so i guess the the shakeout from this is that there's a couple of quotes which point towards His battle with cove it last year and the quote here. I'm so exhausted. Afterwards it was one of the weirdest experience of the said. Hamilton who missed last year secure grand prix in december due to cove nineteen i real dizziness and everything. Bills spending thousands of dollars on house repairs for him while he was still vice president. That's all in the in the laptop from hell but you know. I guess time will tell there seems to be you know. A a reluctance and resistance within republican ranks over the issue of donald trump. And by that. It's the lincoln project people by the way. Joe trippy announced these. He's joining the lincoln group that that's everything you need to know about. How liberal they are. they don't even want republicans to win the house anymore. They don't want republicans to win the senate anymore. So i wouldn't say they're conservatives by any stretch that they're just basically democrats say they will once republicans. Okay great got it but be honest about it so now. The question is as we look to. It's twenty twenty two. We got a very tight margin in the house. winnable for republicans. Then you've got florida. You got georgia. Maybe herschel walker. According to reports i've seen Then you've got north carolina you got south. Carolina got new hampshire got wisconsin ohio arizona. I mean is this. Not john mclaughlin. The bellwether of all bellwethers. Yes we have. In our. In our national monthly survey we have the republicans leading the generic vote. Forty seven forty six. Which bought bodes very well for the midterm elections. And that's scaring the democrats to the point that they still want to change the election laws with that Corrupt politicians act where they want to basically You know get rid of voter. Id and all that other kind of stuff. But the but that's been installed but democrats have four racists four centers that are in battleground states. Right now you've got worn in georgia. You got kelly in arizona. You got Cortez masto in nevada. And you got hassan new hampshire. That are all in trouble. That if the democrats keep pursuing their radical agenda that republicans should be able to gain senate seats and donald trump is the key to getting our base in the midterm because seventy two percent of all republicans want him to run again at twenty four and they would support him eighty two sixteen if he were to run in a primary. According to national republican primary voters any any blows away anybody in the field if he runs so the key thing is i mean you saw. The president is rally on saturday and sarasota. He's out there for like a couple hours talking to people what a contrast between him and buying. It's unbelievable ned. Twenty five people show but an event last word man. How do you see twenty twenty two playing out. We've got about twenty seconds. I agree. I think trump is the party. And the all these articles. I read this state otherwise idiotic. Let me mention one in georgia so to hit pieces. Came out today talking. About how herschel walker might be a problem for the republicans in georgia. That's from mainstream dc inside the beltway types herschel walker would absolutely run to victory in georgia. The republicans have better pray. He runs I agree with you and he'd help The republican ticket top and bottom trust me. I think you're one hundred percent right right Matt towery john mclaughlin. Thank you both eight hundred nine. Most americans are not aware this. This situation exists. And i'll be honest with you. I'm not a medical doctor. I can't concern what the president's level is. "Final news round up and information overload Our News round up information overload Our Georgia You want to get out to the polling place where you're registered to vote. You have two hours and I'm sorry. One hour and 54 minutes from right now. Polls close seven o'clock of you're in line to vote. You get to vote a 7 P.m.. If you there we need to chronicle it. You need the If you need some type of certainty, you have the ability to do that as well. Um, look, we, uh we have a lot of steak. I'm getting anecdotal information from all different people. All the people I know all around Georgia. Summer, talking about high turnout and Republican areas. Some are saying moderate summer saying they're not sure I don't know I'm not there. All I know is every single pollster I know in trust, and it just so happens the two guys that got both 2016 and 2020, right? Matt Towery, Robert to Haley and Craig Procession with Matt Towery an insider advantage. They all are saying this is a dead heat race. Meaning that probably in the next hour. And let's see 52 minutes. This election will be decided, probably by those votes. That's how important you voting now is if you haven't voted yet in the great state of Georgia. Anyway, we invite back to the program. Craig Concession with us, Matt Towery and Robert to Haley. Robert, Let's start with you. And what are you hearing your model? According to what you had told me earlier today, you need you're looking at anywhere between 850,000 to a million 50 votes needed for at least Kelly left here to win and then per do to win. Yes. What Are our numbers show us that produce starts having a better chance of winning when it goes above a million. Unfortunately, right now we're hearing the numbers in the lower 800 to 700,000, so literally, as you said. Turn out 100,000 people across the whole state's not that many, so the difference in this election could very well be made in the next few hours. And people just hearing this and going out and making sure you've opened calling your friends and making sure they vote. But we see it is that close and the early voting was very significant for the Democrats. And, uh, this this is all. It's all coming down to this and You know, And I guess I'm the guys keep saying it, But this is all enforced. The $2000 was there. This race we've been over a week ago. Your take. And what are you hearing on the ground? Matt Towery. I mean, does But what Robert is telling me is that if we could get another 200,000 people in Georgia to vote in the next hour and 50 minutes Republicans really can win both seats. If not, we may not win them. Well, like I'm so many instances, Robert and I completely agree. I think the turnout's going to be right in that range. He just described. We knew that these candidates were struggling over the last few weeks. I do agree the Robert the $2000 stimulus issue and not agreeing with it immediately costs and vote. But they can still win this if there's a real push a significant push for turnout in Georgia, And if you know people in Georgia, anybody in Georgia, you want the Republicans when you better pick up the phone and call those folks and tell them to go vote right now because they need to get out. I think the turnout is between low and high. It's moderate. The AJ C Atlanta Journal Constitution is reporting light turnout. But then again there reports oftentimes cume or in the direction of Democrats and And their view of the world. And your take our friend Craig Kashia. She and you agree with Robert and I agree with Matt. I do. Both Robert and I are here on the ground in Georgia. We did our reconnoitering and We saw firsthand that this race will pivot on turnout and that that benchmark number Shawn is about 850,000 and 900,000 votes. The goal post for Purdue have to be north of a million. But for La Flor, it's a bit less because her her opponent is so controversial. And we found internally that he not only upset women was his antics in his lawsuit with his wife for Those antiques there, But also, um Hispanics are reacting very well. The la Flor And African Americans over the age of 65 are are not very excited by war knocks. So he she has some natural advantages that fortunately for her are working to her benefit right now, uh, produce got the heavier lift. It's pretty amazing to me that here we are in the final hour and 48 minutes and that you know that we still need people in Georgia to go vote. And now isn't there usually a late Post work surge and a lot of polling places on Election Day, Robert to Haley. Look, there He is, especially when the weather is this spectacular. Um, this this day. I mean, this is this is a great great day to get get out and vote. It's just At this time of year. It could be easily you know, 30 40 degrees, so, 55 degrees on day Atlanta areas very comfortable. And, um, a lot of people, you know, getting off work going out to vote and It's just It's very, very convenient. And you know, it doesn't take that time way in the morning. There's a lot of people who Get a late start every day, so they live too far away from the polling location to go with lunch. So there's usually a big surge with folks and I expect this weather is gonna be contributed that being easy to do. That's.

"Matt Towery Over the many years that you've been involved in Georgia politics in the state Legislature you ran for lieutenant Governor. Is that usually what we see? It is and often times, especially with Republican voters who can't make it to work in the morning. Have meetings and the like. So I think we could see a surge. I mean, we're gonna be looking to see if there's a surge in the Metro area of Atlanta. Where they're still significant Republicans because that would be where you would see that more typically and more rural areas. People are able to vote for freeway during the daytime. I will say this John is a reflection of what you said about how we're down to the last hour. I've been doing this now with you for, I think three years almost every week. We've talked about all of the issues waiting up for the presidential race and then onto this special election. I want to thank you and Linda for giving you that opportunity. I thoroughly enjoyed it for you and out of the back together. You don't really mean because I've ruined your life. You had a great life in retirement. I just insisted you come out of it. Blame Linda more than me. If you're gonna blame anybody, I mean, I get blamed for everything else. It's about time she get the blame for something. Well, that's all right. That's right. I'm not retired, and I may still be doing some stuff down the road with us. Well, hopefully, but I just want to say this. Could we not have predicted this from the very beginning? The way these, the media has unfolded the way the story's unfolded so much this president has had to deal with it's almost impossible for anyone associated with him or any political party. To go without having to go through the wringer to win an election. We've seen it over and over again with the with the big tech with the voting patterns with bias in the media that we dealt with. And so it's no shock to me that we're down to the last hour and a half. We're down to a measly number of votes to see if these two senators come hold on. Listen, I'm just getting anecdotal stuff from people that are beginning to look at some polling from today. And apparently, you know, nearly 70% think the November election of voters today was not accurately certified. Republican voters. It's over eight out of 10 and, um and basically and most, by the way, approve of the way the president has handled the aftermath of the November election. All of us, I think, agreed earlier in the week that his appearance last night was going to be critical. If they were even I have a chance here. And Ah, Democrats don't like the way the president has handled things of very negative view is coming out of Georgia today from people that I'm talking to on the ground, as relates to Joe Biden. I mean extremely negative. Um, and a clear majority of Republicans voted because they don't want the Democrats have the house in the Senate. And then maybe the White House. Clearly, though, there is this other factor, Craig, and that is whether you agree with her politically or not. Stacey Abrams is a political force to reckon with and She has been, You know, extremely effective in getting early votes out in both the general election, her election going back to governor and now in the special election. Great son. I have to hand it to her. Then again, you have to also realize that the secretary of state and the governor were intimidated by her and entered into that. Odd consent decree, which I thought was unnecessary and Unnecessarily complex and it led to issues for both the president and for this race. I think George is a very farm fair minded people and I think they understand the stakes here at hand and they will understand that a balancing act needs to be exercised. So I am confident and they also understand well that gun rights That haven't been discussed in this campaign, as they should have are going to be very crucial, moving forward and defunding the police. Again, all that cuts across party. And racial lines and gender lines. People are fearful of the consequences of criminals on downtown Elin has become a massive, you know, with the mayor pleading for help on ideas. I had a police their own town. What kind of incompetence is that? They're opening up. The Atlantis in jail is matted brought up. You found that out. And then, of course, you know well that Joe Biden and Baidoa Rourke want to take away. The A R 15 in the AK 40 seven's of law abiding citizens. And guess what they're gonna do here Use this is ground zero, so Of Georgians respect their gun rights, They better fight for them. I just got a picture from WSB television. WSB is our partner down there on radio, and they have massive lines. And I'm looking at an overhead shot of chopper shot right now. Big GOP Lines and Cherokee County. How would you interpret that At this hour? Matt and Robert Robert first That Cherokee County was one. I did a number where we wrote down what percentages they had met. And they were down 14% on early voting, which may get them plenty of room as a strong Trump County. So a big turnout in Cherokee County is very good news for Republicans if it was one of the top Five counties that for Trump, and they had a lot of room to grow between those who voted early in what was left so big lines are good news and Cherokee County. No question take mandatory. Well, Sean to put it in perspective for people who know anything about Georgia back or prior years, Cobb County was the center for the Republican Party in Georgia. Now Cherokee County in Metro Atlanta has sort of taken its position is being predominantly Republican County and growing in population..

"You gotta put this thing on his back and kept taking cranking session. I am in harmony with Matt. And with Robert on this point, Shawn, I've said time and time again. The president disrupted the campaign in a positive way with the $2000 Gambit candidate for covert relief. The senators should have jumped on that immediately, if not sooner. They should have bounded themselves to trump like Velcro. Truly, Shawn, the president is a Goliath in the state of Georgia, and these two senators should have bonded more carefully with him on. They should have run him or effectively positive campaign to. There's so many things they could have talked about. Instead, the negative tone. I think it has hurt Republican the Republicans in this race. In fact, we're seeing in insider advantage. GOP defections to the Democratic candidates. Maybe they're flirting with war noch and And also for the time being. But those numbers are significant enough to turn this race to the democratic side. So I'm concerned about that. I think the $2000 versus $600 gambit. Had a dramatic impact on Republican thinking. I also think that lack of a positive campaign didn't necessarily help our friends Law Flor and And Senator Purdue Plus another big concern shot and I hope everybody understands us. There are 117,000 new voters. That did not vote in the general election that are casting their votes or have casted their ballots in this runoff, And that is not that does not bode well for us. So that million figure that Robert decided for turnout tomorrow that is mandatory. It's not necessary and sufficient. It has to be mandatory for Republicans to pull this thing off tomorrow. My quick break right back more. The pollsters Matt Towery, Robert to Haley. Great procession is with us. 809 41, Sean, your calls Ah, preview of the rest of the week much more. "towery" Discussed on Newsradio 970 WFLA

"All right. I'm poster John McLachlan, Matt Towery. We continue looking at a very, very two very close runoff races in the great State of Georgia. January 5th. Early voting going on now. I did ask Kelly Leffler and I did ask David Perdue this week if they felt confident that efforts will be made for poll watchers and lawyers and And chain of custody issues and the drop boxes. They seemed assuring that there were what 4000. I think Kelly Leffler told me that they have 4000 people volunteering to be partisan observers of the vote counting the only question is there going to be 6 FT. Back. 20 ft Back, 100 ft back. They're gonna be let in the building or not. They're gonna be kicked out of the building that we're gonna have balance and suitcases this time, and only certain people get to stay. And after you throw out the media, I mean, I'd like to know the answer to these questions before the fifth, But you know, the people of Georgia don't have the luxury to sit it out. Wait for the answers. Matt. Going to your point hasn't been publicized in the newspapers in the light. But I've actually read the letter, Fulton County, the Elections board decided to fire one of the individuals who was actually working up. As a poll worker as someone who was helping look over how how votes from being counted. They let her go after she testified at the Senate hearing that was held that Rudy Giuliani and others testified at just a few weeks ago before he's coming on the program right in the next hour. Okay, Well, now, you know, so that tells you they're not letting up. This is gonna be hard ball all the way to the finish. Yeah, I You know, the thing about Democrats is when they get committed to something that they commit Republicans. Oh, they're just they're so unfocused and you know, President sent out a tweet. Republicans need to learn to fight. The one lesson that Republicans should have learned from Donald Trump. Is that if you make promises, keep them If you fight for what you said you were going to do, they will reward you with more votes. In other words, talk doesn't get you there and form for too many politicians, swamp creatures, John McLachlan. That's all we get is talk, talk, talk, talk, talk, and and that's why the voters of Georgia need to get out and vote for Leffler and produce Because if we don't get out, and now Matt and I know Robert K. Hayley, the other pollsters, they they're putting enough a fraud factor. We need to overcome that with real people getting out there voting because There were five million votes on November 3rd. There's already 1.1 million votes cast in Georgia, either and mail or early in person so far, and in fact, Trump voters don't get back out. It'll be a terrible thing for the whole country. And was that about the same percentage? I mean, you're not expecting a vote Turnout similar to election day. Are you getting stronger? Sean? Do you think this is gonna be stronger than on Election day? No, no, no, not stronger than Election Day, but it is getting stronger. I thought it was weak to begin with. But now the turnout beginning to look strong for U S senate run off in the wintertime in that New words to the benefit of the Republicans. So that's That's why when I we started the show. I said, I'm beginning to see some indications that caused me to think the Republicans are picking up a little bit. But we gotta watch this early. Voting has to stay strong and Republicans like to vote on Election Day. You've alluded to it several times. Sean, what do we have? Ah, Winter Storm. What if something happens and they can't get to the pole so that more people go to early voting for the Republicans? The better they do. Waiting to Election Day is probably not a smart idea. All right, I'm gonna let you both go here. Matt Towery and our friend John my glass. Okay? And and I don't know how many ways times I can say it to the people of Georgia, but your country needs you right now. Even if you're angry and frustrated at local politician, state officials, it doesn't matter. We've got to try as the great movie, Braveheart says. You are.
