It's a new concept that heightened launch very early in the year but recently Had its wi with that one and change the plans but the luxury pods basically. It's a new website driven by podcast. That's a bad all things. Luxury travel As well as some reviews of of some of the hottest 'cause hitting the sane and and all sorts of other a luxury items. I guess you could cite speaking which trump piece chopper Shine authority view. Or i think that's roy. He's more luckily the person demand helper authentic before. I get the chop though. I've got to finish getting a helicopter pad installed in the bottom They guy we've got awake at where you collect it from his well because we're not sure whether that from the water so will from from one of trump. He's luxury hotels in new york. Spend so he's not trying to off one of a air force ones choppers e. Well i think it's what is it it's about. I think it's going this saying the figures are around one point five to three million. He's the ryan jr. But you're looking at shop. That was used for for the apprentice. Program can cost cosimo on back to their election. Trial bit that we're talking gold plated seatbelts in and mahogany wood. It's apparently pretty sensationally. So if it was for the apprentice program is he going to get the client on going to leave it to the imagination as far as other things guy. two is Look talking before the show a bit locked down and and how brutal it was heat. Bang here in victoria at one of the great things that a message from that is that we've we've been able to. We've been forced to stop and really look at ryan backyard. And what's what's within that when it comes to luxury travel side one of the big things that stood up for me to particularly bang relevant this week with nine wake is the fact that The a lot of discovery aboriginal experiences that we can enjoy and kosonen Obviously a lot of places. We can't go. I've essays but what we've got a pretty incredible in every state. It's not just the rid cintos And that can be going out to mossman. Go up to tropical north queensland offer one of the yeah look at. And then it's across to. W i whether it's margaret reba with or a bit further up actually swan valley with dial tilburg. Who's this lovely woman. Who does these amazing bridge in a lot. To his way you can do some piloting Also food cultural toes as well. Learn about the medicine. Bush tucker and the medicine medicinal benefits of that that small big. It's warrior they. You can obviously stay at some luxury places. laud And enjoy the restaurant there but during the day you can go off and do these amazing experience. Yeah brilliant brilliant so we have a guy comes on the show. He's also a guy who i do joint show with called secret. Men's business dwayne ben harrison and he He runs an organization called nar. Narayan cultural awareness. And they do to as in you and country Dan here mother gulag moore and they've got the glamping tense there and they do the food and all the rest of it and that's top. Shell stuff as well great experience. Absolutely absolutely it's It's makes us not just luxury to you can do united this more accessible experiences. You can can enjoy bit Certainly the offering there is incredible. I had no idea tourism australia endorses at least one hundred and twenty iran destroyer and Go what a what a great What a great talent to explore back. Yeah absolutely completely. The board have to open up first. And we've got a bit of a problem here in queensland. Yeah well. We had a bit of a problem. Here in victoria can tell you a bit As far as getting to country victoria nail. But the good news is that soul being announced in infect. I think i'll read somewhere this morning. That the talking a bit The queensland acquaint is leading a seen before new south wales before letting the new south. Well while i don't know i think that Even the mayor of gulf coast is putting his hand up and saying listen. You know anesthesia days. Something about the borders. For god's sake because we're suffering danny year. Look i think we need to open up the borders all over the country and You know denying people freedom of travel and stuff like that as a big issue. I know neither. I think they've got good reason. And all the rest of it. But i think it's tom look andrew the too good point because we gotta think about the businesses that are suffering to a hell of a lot of tourism businesses that rely on domestic travel. Just just as much Particularly now say look the good news. It looks locked that so rolling at the next two or three weeks so on sale. Dry is opening. Up on. Tasmania's i w i might be a little bit sort of been there. I'm world either and always in tyke some time bits Look off by certainly bought christmas. I'd like to think the hall countries. I've been growing up. Let me tell me got thinking about the luxury item. So one area of the market that i Capability kane on in that's the luxury car market. It appeased the luxury car could have had a bit eith- in moist in fact the sign that this last year has been the strongest year without no ninety plenty of stock rolling on but prices. Mine tiny in the used car luxury car market particularly. Yeah yeah absolutely. Look at least one ahead It was one of the local Caveats here in melbourne was was talking about that a lot of them. I guess what it's forced them to do is pivot and really the ones who have pivoted well in a digital sense or an online since the technologies they had today cy much way you can actually experience virtual tours and all sorts of things bit of has its at spain. One of the surprising grainger wits and a large part of it has been because people don't have the opportunity to spend the money on luxury holidays. So this still quite a large number of people in australia who is still working and con. Spend the money on luxury holidays that they gone will. If i'm gonna spend on something why not spend it on a beautiful luxury car on an mercedes. Bmw god forbid ferrari lamb gaining sorts of things isn't isn't opponent a papal changed when you forced into a situation where you can't spend your money on going out for denial or entertainment As the goal is not only too well at the moment as far as law performing guys Obviously luxury travel lives. Say's that I guess that's where the opportunities for those top of i guess industries you have a win this some industries have one well out of it yet. Have nine o'clock it's It's one of those things. Unfortunately for others. These sorts of carnage. I agree and i think a lot of people will have been putting their money in the bank so to speak remind case paying off the mortgage a little bit more out of you know trying to protect that rainy day well might need someone to.

"Clearly mistaken. I do not have the best job in the world. I have the best job. I thought I could come into a radio show about animals have my animals here have my best friends around me but apparently there's a job better than that and we're talking to Alan. dicks Hi. Ellen how're you doing? Hey, has it gone? Thank you so much for having me on where are you right now? I, am in Sweden at the moment. Let me tell listeners a little bit about what you do and then I'll let you correct it. Okay. Because I'll I'm a wealth of misinformation. If you don't know you travel the world at taking selfies with animals, all kinds of different animals and you post them to an instagram page, which now has what three, hundred, sixteen, thousand followers and you pay the bills doing this too. I believe is that correct? Yeah. Well, you can double the follower count but. Yeah. It's basically the core of what I do is if taking southeast with animals, but it's like it's basically pop culture of wildlife conservation basically teaching kids in a cool way to conserve wildlife and the environment well now, how did you happen into this? Well, it all came all spun kind of completely random out of the blue. I want a job called the best job in the world from Tourism Australia and this is about six years ago. It was one of those like dream job competitions which the stakes were ridiculous. So it was like hundred thousand dollars for six months. All expenses paid trip to Australia. and. They wanted you to make media showcase why the country was. So great I got through the Competition Court of people entered miraculously I want. Now that's pretty incredible and came from Ireland why chopping from Ireland to Australia, and while in the wildlife parks I was obviously taking pictures of the animals but I was I'm so meticulous and pay attention to detail that I was kinda chilling with the animals like Kangaroos and the wallabies for good few hours to the point they got curious they'd come up and they wouldn't fit in the camera Lens. So I just turned around and took a Selfie and that was six years ago I basically was taking these animals. And I was just doing it for fun and literally did I. Invented the Animal South Trend I guess you know what it's it's too bad. This is radio because I'm looking at some really phenomenal pictures. Hold them up to the microphone, but I'm also going to post over at animal radio DOT pet. So you can see these you must take a bunch of pictures to end up with these pictures here I mean each and every picture the animals seemed to be looking right into the camera or holding on to you. Thank you it's that moment to curiosity and it's I'm and then I. Guess I'm just I'm clicking burst mode to caption that curate moments curiosity when the animals had looks down and then rackets just looks in the direction of the camera it just that pinnacle moment of that human. Faces. So funny, it's a filing happy face. So it looks like there's a human connection between wildlife animals feeling to have you ever been in danger by taking any of these photos were you feared for your life? Yeah, I. Actually, I did a commercial it was with a grizzly bear. So I took a Southsea with a grizzly bear and. Now, that I think about it I don't think there was health insurance. So, this a job that will come to an end or will you be able to maintain using your your followers on instagram like honestly with like everything's evolving all the time there's all these new APPs coming at everything. Regardless the Internet is the core of it is cats. So it's all about on holes I don as I keep doing what I'm doing in a fun effective way. It's a really cool way of teaching kids and everyone about wildlife conservation environments in like a engaging way. So I'll be all the I'm sticking for longtime. What was the most memorable animal? You took a Selfie with? Okay. So honestly it's it's not it's the meme. It's the fact that I kind of created this whole experience shirt. With with selfish I was taking. People just hadn't heard of the caucus. These are the animals that like it's my profile photo. It's the economy John Never. Yeah this little animal in like Western Australia there's only twelve thousand of them. They look like squirrels like oversize Squirrel Aso. Imagine an animal like the size of a cast with the body shape of a kangaroo and you stick a face of a smiling bear talk that's where. And there's only twelve thousand of them nobody had heard about these nobody and I managed go out there hang out with them capture some radical stuff. And it was captioned dislike like. On days with them. and. Nobody had heard about them. I basically invented this whole experience of making people discover animals that they'd never heard of. and. That's kind of what I'm what I'm quite proud of. That's kind of what I'm trying to showcase that there's such a diversity of animals that it makes your heart melt. This picture of you and the clock, the coca is apparently just sitting there really looking intently into the camera mailing. How do you get your animals are these animals to do that to play along? Well, basically, it's like, okay if you can get them to trust you to be around you. Then obviously at some point, they're going to sit down have like they're going to have some food. So the caucus they eat the leaf stems that from the trees and a lot of my photos are taken underneath that. So they're just mad to have these big trees. I guess. It's that moment Wedneday look down the barrel of the Lens and there chomping away on some food but. I don't know I guess it's just it's just perseverance of Asians of constantly taking it could take like five hours to get dot carpet shop. You woke up this morning and you said, okay, I gotTa do what today? Are GonNa take some pictures of packers. Wow. They're on live those a lot of packers in Sweden. One of my friends has like an attacker farm and it was like a probably like minus. Whoa what's that in Fahrenheit maybe minus ten or something there's snow and they'll packers are having fun at their. It looks like a winter wonderland. So yeah, there's animals everywhere and some Moose. I guess I actually think next up I'M GONNA go to Latin America Costa Rica. So I gotTA GUESS I just gotTa find the most diverse animals out there I think this is what the Internet has pushed me on this adventure to kind of. Make just to show how in the world is. Well, if you go to Costa Rica, you gotTa take picture with slots. Hopefully, they'll be slowing meet to take. You gotTa Watch out for. Those. Those loss very shifty Allan thank you so much for spending time with us. I'M GONNA put links to your facebook page in your instagram a couple of pictures up on the website animal where you dot pat you should definitely go check the skies page out right now there's a lot of just fun fun pictures. "PG and they pixelated the animals private parts. I didn't know they kangaroos were so well endowed. But the people that Tourism Australia explained that they were only having a little bit of fun and. Not Everybody. Thought it was that funny in fact, more than sixteen hundred people commented on the photo many Collins Censorship stupid crazy and everything in between one user even accused Tourism Australia of trying to turn big Baz into a centerfold model the agency since replaced a photo with another that's a little bit more modest. She'll tell us a little bit about the business and how she got into it actually taking care of some celebrity animals or wrong some celebrities animals I should probably. She's so funny and so knowledgeable and just down to earth I love talking to her yes, she was on last July and she had so much to talk about we just figured we'd have to have her back. We'll go to the phones and just a couple of seconds Lori woody working on for the news this hour. Which one? Line three. Here we go. Hi, who's this aerial aerial doing? I'm good. How are you? Very good. Where are you calling from today? Orange County down in Irvine. Giddy mood too I'm okay with it I have a funny funny question of a funny funny cat. Event and her name's Deb, and she's on with us right now where do you got going on with your kitty? Cat. A Siamese cat named Sushi. She's about two years old and she has a problem with sucking her tail to the point where the tip is discolored and I don't know what to do or why she's doing it. Okay well, this is a fun call and how how old is she? I. Think. She's about probably just over two years. Okay has she been doing this behavior since you out her yeah pretty much. I adopted her rescue from about seven months ago. Okay Really notice it until they. Already. So you're probably noticing you're laying in bed. You've got a wet cold tail slap on your or something. And it? Just colored now it's turned from Brown to red. Yes now does she does she have any other habits where she sucks on like clothing or any other parts of her body or your body? No. Just that massage thing with the pause. Happy feet thing making biscuits. and. That's normal. That's the sign of a happy cat they're. Good. So. The tail sucking phenomenon in this is kind of interesting and when you I said, you had a Siamese cat that just setup all the red flags because Siamese cats are. They're very special I. Love Him I love him to death, but they definitely have some kind of loose neuron going up there. And Taylor sucking is one of those behaviors we see a lot with them is some people believe that it's somehow a something that they lacked when they were nursing and they didn't have enough contact with their mom but it doesn't necessarily have to be that. We can actually see that more with problems when when there truly just bored. and. They just kind of turned that as kind of a soothing behavior and they find some self satisfaction in that kind of makes them feel good. No. Are. There are things that we can do to try to. You know decrease that possibility and it's Kinda hard because there's a lot of different factors we Komo cat whether it's you know she's bored and she's doing it for attention 'cause actually some cats will do this to get a rise out of us start yelling at them Waggin your hands at them squirting water, whatever it might be, and it's actually negative reinforcement. For that behavior so have you tried doing anything so far for this I guess I need to stop the football kit car. Can you get them? Now just I tickle her tummy's what I do. Because I thought it was cute until I noticed it started turning colors. Do. You tickle her tummy when she does this or to. Stop doing it. Okay. See now and that actually could be seen as a successful. Seeking behavior because she's getting a response that she likes out of dot behavior. So when she does that, we don't want to give undue attention. We. We actually want to try to give her other ways you know, and if she can't eliminate the sucking behavior, it's completely possible. Some cats we cannot in some Siamese loved to do this. So we want to give her alternatives So I would encourage you. We'd like to look for things such as Kiddy Kong type toys can use types that you can put little treats in little snack. Ke's make it so that she has to work for her food. Schedule playtime for her things like the dancer, the feather toys. Where we can get her active and doing things. If. She yeah, all of that type of thing, and if she starts to do something that's close to sucking on that tail, we want to redirect it into something else and actually have some cats that I will use Kitty lollipops, I call them, and they're not really pups but you can actually get little rawhide shoes such as for dogs and train her to that and a lot of cats the they still have this.

"More. We're just kind of anthem them up, and then the urine flows. So the first thing you want to do is when you come home, you ignore your dog as hard as it is for five minutes you go take her straight outside don't make eye contact. You're not looking at her you're not talking to her get her to do her potty business, and then after a few minutes excitement, kind of wears off and you hopefully not find that that will happen at that time but it's this is a very hard thing for people to do some other dogs we can try like using a head halter if you've ever seen those lead harnesses, that's kind of a good thing. and. Even just kind of practicing some kind of calm commands when you come in just a quiet sit without getting all excited But really that you know that they getting them all worked up thing is that that's really which kind of triggers this feeds that behavior. I'm probably even with strangers not let them pet her right away till. She's settled down and. Exactly and that's what I do is help people when they come to your home just ignore her don't look at her don't talk to her You know same thing no I contact and if you have to, you can take her outside right as they're entering. But in many cases, if you just tell instructor friends and family just don't pay attention to the dog Then that's GonNa be a really good thing and you and you'll want to practice. So you want to have friends and family members that are in on this kind of helps set her. So that you can practice this behavior and it will work, but it just takes a lot of lot of conditioning in that way. I can say she's a very happy happy dog too happy I can. Yes we we want to keep the happiness. We just don't want the fetal go it everywhere. I. Hope that's helpful for you. This is doctor Debbie with animal radio. "Thou-. Is Labor and our doing that before. Did that yeah, anytime me because finding seats is unknown, so I say finding points like fishing. You know fish this you know. Fund them the questions win. Destined Lever allies can do. Because I. Don't want him. Walk around with having points. Caution fly, because that will send a message data points of valuable or not valuable. Yeah, don't one to mock around very often, but how many states have viable? This comes down to how lucky. Wherever, you know when you're fishing. You'll find a safe. Yeah. I think that's laid without the muck around, but also naive unless you fly the MTC so. So they may be most is because airline nate's. Need to run a Shenzhou yet, they got. They got to pay money and they fill up the state supine points because points is not quite say thought on free. Transfer money between Qantas. Frequent Flyer program in Qantas airline so fast making money by offering frequent flyer points state. Yeah, yeah, I mean. It's hard to tell because like you said at least in Australia. No one's flying really internationally. I remember when we were chatting. I know I'd sort of gotten into I. Think I told you it was my new hobby points with like my new hobby, because I had like half million points from the business and. waiting was coming up and I really have mile. Because I've been watching nonstop Dan I really have my set on Lauren. I going first KLOSS emerets waits to Europe. And so I'd gotten deep on things like Matrix ti an. Expert fly, but I'd sort of use the free version of expert fly, which is where businesses like yours come in handy because he is a crunching this stuff on the daily, so we'll be really wanting to say and I would be fascinating to see like You know be really good if you did sort of like a coal logic monthly update on the state of Of Frequent Flier points today like they cover like some of the stats around what's happening on different states because there's so many little niche things, but that's also part of business as well as keeping that sort of the sod of of the unknown of being that authority around that area so. It's It's all very interesting and we're just GONNA have to white. It sounds like until things. Go back to normal. When it comes to travel. I guess you've got your finger on the pulse and use of saying what things doing the biggest narrative I've noticed recently people talking about. Traveling like you said in that Trans Tasman Bobble, or least more domestically I know. We got a six hundred dollar credit from jet style for these flights. We're GonNa, do internationally where like? We'll go this money now. If. Things have relaxed by the close to the end of the year. We should definitely gonNA holiday somewhat to an area. That's being. Affected by this the Gold Coast Dole or someone like that. So have you heard much from your customers around? Will they plan to do with the credits and travel domestically for the rest of the? Off My we still too early to tell her. Like I? Really support domestic travel because Australia. Is such a large country that is got so different full formats, so you got to claim slanty got this beautiful beaches. You've got to Nova. Territory's Kakadu. That scenery is completely different. you gotTa Tasmania that's completely different, so and then allied and Western Australia. We've an country. We have so much different scenery. And yet. Just flies. I've essays, so don't think this is a great opportunity for a strange to exploit back yod. Often. We put backyard off because she said our. We just go, which is go anytime. But you never go? And this is the talk I think we can go and really appreciate the true nature that we have. And then when the off the autism. Will still say so then we sort of the best lifeboats. Appreciating what we have likely. So also yet use it. Would definitely want us it likely. I think twelve eighteen twenty four months. Is Credits and d think I'm like when you speak into people. Who could you settle offering this cancellation service when they're when they getting these credits that money back talking about? just waiting until they can travel I'd say go to this place or are they saying they'll put that money? Elsewhere with sort of the mindset. Phoenix Tuesday's initially is. Credit and to have different, we can use it to re book to pretty much the same destination. Bostick the compensation starting to change to that will use a for some somewhere domestically, so at least I can co somewhere like the conversations changing any because. International is not gonNA. Come back as quick as people think he's going to be Once you actually realized that that you're not going to be going overseas that quickly. Then you'll turn to domestic. Enough into the advertising campaign gonNA come online about Tourism Australia. Showcased the goodness that we have in strike. Overseas while we get this. Marshall. Enjoy something in Australia. Yeah, that's a good point. It's really hard because this. Saimaa on darn around vaccine all therapeutic. And it's probably unlikely that international travel will. Resume as to what was as free as it was. until that is the case. What is your sense on when people will likely stop traveling again? Because I've seen examples of people saying that They may have like a check on their possible. That says they've got the antibodies for coronavirus. All been had a in the past or something like that. That would allow them to travel more..

Now to be honest. I think it's extremely unlikely that the international `Services Commission would would award both slots to Qantas in light out of all of this. It's obviously going to be beneficial to the travelling public to have more competition in the market between Australia and Japan veggies Going to provide this. So we'll know for sure by the end of this month that I'm fully expecting that virgin. We'll get approval to stop flying between Brisbane and Haneda from the twenty ninth month. Say IT'S A it's an interesting new route in an interesting way foot. Hopefully there'll be lots of reward seats but Yeah great news for the traveling public and of course velocity members. So it'll be interesting to see what it happens but yeah we'll find out by the end of the month. The big news of the last four nights sadly has been in several airlines in Europe. That have gone out of business. Two episodes ago. I told you that the French highline Iguazu. Had this just suspended flights and file for bankruptcy. Obse while I'm afraid that wasn't the end of the problems.

Specialty store. Dryer chicken rolled food as a meal or shredded as topper. This is an animal radio news update. I'm Laurie Brooks. There's a new study out by researchers in gen Mark on the impact of B S L you've heard of BS L before. I know you have. It's breed specific legislation is what is stands for. And it is often a city or even a countries attempt to ban dog breeds that it deems is vicious. So this study was done by Karlstad university using data from Denmark's third largest city the results they got they showed that sell. There had no effect on hospitalizations for dog bites people who were pitting. Now, here's the history on this back in two thousand ten Denmark banned the ownership breeding and importation of thirteen different dog brains and two of those breeds the pit bull terrier and the tosa inu if you had one of those as a pet they had to be euthanized. I imagine many people moved out of the country at that time. And then. Than any existing pets of the remaining breeds of the remaining eleven braids, those dogs could be kept. But they had to be muzzled and leashed when they were out in public. I think it's really important to point out. You're talking about the study that's done in Europe. But we have breed specific legislation here in the United States. If you live in cities like Denver, you cannot own a pit bull of any sort or that bull Brennan, there's many cities like that. So it's affecting us here in the US. I just wanted to point that out. Yeah. I wonder if they've done any studies here in the US to see how effective it really is. It all comes down to responsible pet owner. I mean, everyone is trying to regulate. The breeds regulate. The pets regulate the damn pet owners that not everyone's suitable. It'll be a pet owner. And you're going to see the biding at least, you know, subside, you're gonna see a lot of things change. But we want to change everything else to suit on need and forget about the needs of the pet. And I it really bothers me you are spot on with that. It's just like what Sheldon? How did we used to work for? A big name radio disc. Jockey who we both loved dearly who used to always say you ought to have to have a license to have kids true for dogs. Well, the trillion government has passed a Bill that effectively bans animal testing for cosmetics that are sold in that country. So Australia will no longer accept results derived from animal experimentation as evidence of a product safety or effectiveness. This means that cosmetic brands will now be required. At least for Australia to show that their products are safe with non animal testing methods and a lot of this came about by the way, because a majority of Australians eighty five percent of the Mara against animal testing for cosmetics. And there's a a woman in upstate New York. Who recently saw on a Facebook post about a cat that was not to be sleeping on a highway guardrail. And you know, that looks kind of dangerous and the weather is freezing and cold and everything's kind of dangerous. So she rushed out to the location in realized that the cat wasn't sleeping. It was literally stuck to of its paws. Ause, and the cat's tail were frozen to that guardrail. So it could not get free. One set a veterinary hospital where the woman took it to the cat whose name is now Elsa from the movie frozen was checked out and found to be in pretty good shape. But she's still not up for adoption yet. I'm Laurie perks. Get more breaking animal news anytime at animal radio dot com. This has been an animal radio news update. Get more at animal radio dot com. Live at the red barn studios. You're listening to animal radio. Here's how and Judy. League. Clearly mistaken. I do not have the best job in the world. Thought. Thought I could come into a radio show about animals have my animals here. Have my best friends around me? But apparently, there's a job better than that. And we're talking to Alan Dixon. Hi ellen. How are you doing? Hey, hasn't gone. Thank you so much for having me on where are you right now. I am in Sweden at the moment. Let me tell listeners a little bit about what you do. And then I'll let you correct it. Okay. Because I'll I'm a wealth of misinformation if you don't know you travel the world at taking sell fees with angels, all kinds of different animals, and you post them to an Instagram page, which now has what three hundred sixteen thousand followers, and you pay the bills doing this too. I believe is that correct? Yeah. You can double the follower count. But. Yeah. It's basically the core of what I do is if taking southeast with animals, but it's like, it's basically pop culture of wildlife conservation, basically teaching kids in a cool way to conserve wildlife on the environment. Well, now, how did you happen into this? Well, it all came in all spun kind of completely random out of the blue. I want a job called the best job in the world from tourism Australia, and this is about six years ago. It was one of those like dream job competitions, which the stakes were ridiculous. So it was like a hundred thousand dollars for six months all expenses paid trip to a straight Mia. And they wanted you to make media showcase why the country was so great. I got through the competition court of million people entered miraculously, I one. That's pretty incredible. And and you came from Ireland y chuckling from Arlen to a stray Leah while in the wildlife parks, I was obviously taking pictures of the animals, but I was I'm so meticulous attention to detail that I was kinda Chilin with the animals like kangaroos and the Wallabies for a good few hours to the point. They got curious they'd come up, and they wouldn't fit in the camera. And so I just turned it around and took a Southie. And that was six years ago. I basically was taking these animals southeast, and I was just doing it for fun. And literally did I invented the animal south trend? I guess you know, what it's it's too bad that this is radio because I'm looking at some really phenomenal pictures a whole them up to the microphone, but I'm also going to post them over at animal radio dot pet. So you can see these you must take a bunch of pictures to end up with these pictures here. I mean each and every picture the animals seemed to be looking right into the camera or holding onto you. Thank you. It's it's that moment to curiosity. And it's I'm and then. I'm just I'm clicking bursts mode to caption that carrot moments curiosity when animals had looks down. And then rack the just looks in the direction of the Cameron. It just that pinnacle moment of that human the faces. So funny, it's a smiling. Happy face. So it looks like a human connection between wildlife animals have feelings too. Have you ever been in danger by taking any of these photos were feared trade for your life? Yeah. I I actually I did a commercial, and it was with a grizzly bear. So I took a Southie with a grizzly bear. And now that I think about I don't think there was health insurance. So is this a job that will come to an end or will you be able to maintain using your your followers on Instagram like honestly with like everything's evolving? All the time. There's all these new apps coming at everything. And regardless the internet is the core of it is cats. So it's all on hold. So as long as I keep doing what I'm doing in fun effective way. It's a really cool way of teaching kids and everyone about wildlife conservation environments in like a engaging way. So I'll be all the I'm sticking it for the long term. What was the most memorable animal you took a selfie with? Okay. So honestly, it it's it's not it's the meme it's the fact that I kind of created this whole experience shirt with with the selfish. I was taking people just hadn't have hard of the like Kwok is these are the animals that like it's my profile photo. It's the Karnik one never heard of it. Yeah. They're this little animal in like, Western Australia. There's only twelve thousand of them. They look squirrels like over sized, squirrel. Yeah. So imagine anonymous like the size of a cast with the body shape of a kangaroo. And you stick face the smiling bear on top. That's where quality and there's only twelve thousand of them. Nobody had heard about these nobody and I managed go at their hang out with them capture some really cool stuff, and it was captured this like like days upon days with them, and nobody had heard about them. And I basically invented this whole experience of making people discover on animals that they'd never heard of 'em. And that's kind of what I'm what I'm quite proud of kind of what I'm trying to showcase that this such diversity of animals that it makes you like heart melts known this picture of you in the coca the Cauca is apparently just sitting there really looking intently into the camera. How do you get your animals are these animals to do that to play along? Well, well, basically, it's like, okay. If you can get them to trust you to be around you then obviously at some point they're going to sit down have like they're going to have some food. So the Kwok is they eat the leaf stems that fall from the trees and a lot of my photos are taken underneath that. And so they're just mad to have these fig trees, and I guess it's that moment when they look directly down the barrel of the lens and their chomping away on some food. But I I don't know. I guess it's just it's just perseverance of Haitians of constantly taking it could take five hours to get dot perfect shop. So you woke up this morning. And you said, okay, I gotta do what today. I'm going to take some pictures of packets out. Wow. Rough live a lot of Al pack is in Sweden, one of my friends has like an old Paca farm, and it was like a probably like minus will what's that in Fahrenheit? I know maybe minus ten or something there's snow, and they'll pack is are having fun at it looks like a winter wonderland. So yeah, there's animals everywhere and some moose ab-. I guess I actually I think next up I'm gonna go to Latin America, Costa Rica? So I gotta guess I I just gotta find the most I've heard animals there. I think this is what the internet has pushed me on this adventure to kind of make just to show. How awesome the world is? Well, if you go to Costa Rica, you gotta take pictures with floss, hopefully, they'll be slow enough for me to take the voter. Gotta watch out for those those loss, very shifty. Allan thank you so much for spending time with us. I'm gonna put links to your Facebook page in your Instagram and a couple of pictures up on the website at animal where you dot pet. You should definitely go check. This guy's page out right now. There's a lot of just fun fun pictures. Thank you so much.

"Else. And now an animal radio news. Brief a recent act of kangaroo censorship of less. Some people hopping mad the mirror says tourism Australia, posted a photo of a kangaroo named big Baz on their Facebook page, but since big Baz was sprout out on his back in the pick. They chose to keep it PG, and they pixellated the animals private parts. I didn't know the kangaroos were so well endowed, but the people at tourism, Australia explained that they were only having a little bit of fun and not everybody thought it was that funny. In fact, more than sixteen hundred people commented on the photo. Many Cullens censorship stupid crazy and everything in between one user even accused tourism Australia, trying to turn big Baz into a centerfold model the agencies since replace the photo with another that's a little bit more modest. He's probably wearing boxers now or something, but they joke that big bad has since taken to being a little camera shy. I'm Stacey Cohan. Get more animal. Breaking news at and Meridia dot com. Oh, it's the the number zero just write that down put it on your fridge. Give it to your friends if somebody comes up to you, and they ask for your number give that number will will take care of it for you. Oh, boy, what a good friend. You are Laurie. What are you working on for the news this hour? A finally some scientific factual data coming out on B S L or breed specific legislation which is basically when usually county state's city country, whatever decides they're going to ban certain breed or breeds of dogs. So there's this new study out, and we'll tell you what they found and it wasn't what they were expecting. I'm glad you clarified the initials PSL because I thought that was something totally different. Which one line three? Here we go. Hi, who's this area? Doing how are you? Very good. Where are you calling from today, Orange County down in Irvine giddy mood too? I have a funny funny. Question of a funny. Funny cat. And her name's Dr Deb and she's on with us right now, where do you got going on with your kitty? I have a Siamese cat named sushi. She's about two years old. And she has a problem with sucking her tail to the point where the tip is discolored. And I don't know what to do or why she's doing it. Well, this is a fun. Call and how how old is sushi. I think she's about probably just over two years. Okay. And has she been doing this behavior since you've had her? Yeah. Pretty much I adopted her rescue from about seven months ago. Okay. Really notice it until lately. So you're probably noticing like you're laying in bed, and you've got a wet cold tail slap in Anya or something. It's just colored. Now, it's turned from Brown to red. Yes. Now does she does? She have any other habits where she suck zone like clothing or any other parts of her body or your body that massage thing with the pause, okay? Happy feet thing making biscuits. Yes. And that's very normal. That's the sign of a happy cat there. So the tail sucking phenomenon in this is kind of interesting, and when you I said, you had a Siamese cat that just setup all the red flags because Siamese cats are they're very special love him. I love him to death. But they definitely have some kind of loosen your on going on there and tail sucking is one of those behaviors we see a lot with them, some people believe that it's somehow a something that they lacked when they were nursing, and they didn't have enough contact with their mom, but it doesn't necessarily have to be that we can actually see that more with problems when when there truly just board, and they just kind of turn to that as kind of a soothing behavior, and they find some self satisfaction in that kind of makes them feel good. No, art things are things that we can do to try to decrease that possibility, and it's kinda hard because there's a lot of different factors. We can look at whether it's you know, she's bored and whether she's doing it for attention because actually some cats will do this to get a rise out of us start yelling, atom wagon your hands at them, squirting, water, whatever it might be. It's actually negative reinforcement for that behavior. So I have you tried doing anything so far for this? Stop the football kit car. Can you give them now? Actually, I just I tickle her tummy's what I do because I thought it was until I noticed it started turning colors. Do you tickle her tummy wind? She does this or two. Stop doing it. Okay. See now, and that actually could be seen as a successful led union seeking behavior because she's getting a response that she likes out of not behavior. So when she does that we don't want to give undue attention. We we actually want to try to give her other ways, you know? And if she can't eliminate the sucking behavior, it's completely possible. Some cats we cannot in some Siamese loved to do this. So we want to give her alternatives. So I would encourage you. We'd like to look for things such as Keady Kong type toys can use types that you can put little treats in little snack ease make it. So that she has to work for her food. We want scheduled playtime for her things like the cat dancer, the feather toys where we can get her active and doing things she. Yeah. All of that type of thing. And if you start to do something that's close to sucking on that tail we want to redirect it into something else. And I actually have some cats that I will use kitty lollipops, I call them, and they're not really lollipops, but you can actually get little rawhide shoes such as for dogs and train her to that. And a lot of cats. The they still have this oral urge to chew into lick, and you can redirect it to something. Like the rawhide Joe. Yeah. I self second. My son. Definitely we don't want her to be picking up any habits off of you there. So.
