"Your leagues kyle gibson as was amazing at the beginning of the season Looked like he was starting carry that over when he initially got traded. Struggled as of late any chance of starting kyle gibson this week yuppies match ups are good enough. I mean over the last thirty four fifty area one thirty three whip not fantastic but three quality starts in two wins in his last five starts. The cubs should be an auto win. You would hope but it is philly. They do love blowing. They do love blowing leads. I think they'd lead the league in blown saves yet again job philly but yeah i'm got a. I'm leaving gibson up this week. yeah. I'm leaving gibson lineup As well hopefully we don't get another eight spot like he gave up against miami This last week so Or on the third. So yeah Yup miami That's the next one that is the next one Paolo espino Is is home versus miami in home verse car. It's been it's actually been pretty pretty good As of late kind of just kind of hold a spot in that washington rotation considering they've had injuries in traded traded guys away Last art wasn't so great but before that he had been bitch decently. Well enough you rolling. With a to start of miami and then home verses Colorado i am And i'm doing this at my home leg brian. the fight for i I have a speedo. And i'm keeping them in my lineup. The i here's the thing though. I mean i got era secured on. I in era strikeouts. I'm not gonna move. So this is a winds plus quality. Start leagues on. Trying to protect ram. I'm not going to be able to jump up trying to protect where i am. And that's that's really the only category. I can make any kind of movement and so i'm keeping them in there This week but that's that's the context of y running with the two starters via but the match ups are pretty decent. I mean you know. He's at home. He's got these two lineups. This is pretty good This will be a top five of the ones. We've discussed so far agreed. Yeah i kind of just below the rich hill and the jayco torrisi earned savelli for me but he he's right up there As a guy that i. I'd be willing to stream this week for a to start. Adrian samson this. This one is like a blast from the past. He was a guy that i thought could turn into something Went to the key b. o. Last year in the shortened season And didn't particularly well And didn't thick pitch particularly well in triple aaa this year but the cubs have brought him up into the rotation and so far so good. We've got you know. His last start was five innings to earn runs to strike outs blank. The pirates three and a third any interested in aged samson. Who's at philadelphia at miami. Now give you the reliever on this mean. The last thirty five seven to twenty one area but a five seventy two v. This is the weirdness of it all. It's like he's got these getting away with it right now. And how long. How much longer can you continue to get away with it. I'd rather look for a better reliever than take a chance on a guy that is when you look at like. How is he getting this done. This really shouldn't happen. Yeah i am. I'm with you there So we'll just move on so about dylan peter's versus cincinnati at miami. This once tough because a for pittsburgh that's part of the problem but the the reds have had their issues against lefty pitchers in. I know there was one recently where they just blasted him out of nowhere but for the most part. If you have left hand you've been able to succeed against the reds. They've had their issues against them so in a deeper league. I'm kind of intrigued with this. One that i'm willing to see let's see where it goes And he's got that great curveball that he can lead on. So i'm bleeding that yeah. I'm going to them this week. Yeah i think he is definitely in play It's not matchups This matchup can be a little bit scary but miami definitely not he. He went only four in his last outing but the previous to that he's gone five in two starts against a saint louis so that's pretty impressive. I think he's Kind of on the lower end of guys. I would consider What about john. Gray a colorado. Not at home this week. They're on the road at atlanta at washington. You ruin out the john gray I'll go with it. Crazy bad but i would censor on the road. I'm gonna go ahead and run with it. I would say it. This met the matchups wise with those to a neutral slightly risky. But the upside of what he could bring with strikeouts. If i'm chasing strikeouts this one you'd have to consider go running with. Yeah i i tend to want to agree with you. But he's actually been really bad on the road a four sixty eight year a on the road this year And i just to me like i. I why even risk it especially when you're going To to atlanta so I think i'm actually out on john gray right now on a road starts just because of the way he's pitched on the road so We're gonna finish off with jake arrieta. Who's at service. Go and at saint louis and then scott kashmir at the versus home versus go home versus atlanta any interested interest in these two guys first of all the weekend a time machine and go back to two thousand fourteen up how what i saw..

"Five innings. And he's done some good things. Been an all star. People are emotional football basketball baseball. It sports competitive. It's emotion people react. Sometimes when they're backed into a corner when they're pissed and i'm okay with but the platform you use to express. It is a decision you have to make in. There are consequences just like for the vaccine or unvaccinated. When you're in front of a press conference or not when you get behind the wheel of your car when you're raising your kids. There are consequences for every frigging decision. You make jayco cozy went to social media. He said a lot been made. This is jake now. A lot of been made in this is to astros. Fans lot has been made of my recent post game comments. I spoken with my manager coaches teammates about them. And i want to take a moment to address the fan base in my own words. We had a tremendous exciting win that night. And this overshadowed that which. I'm sorry about the first question slash statement i was asking. My interview was five. Inning seems to be the limit at this point. How do you feel about that. Are you frustrated by that. My response followed as an athlete. You want to push the limits To continue to get better. That's what makes us all competitors my emotion postgame were still running hot as a starting pitcher. We'll get one day to do our job and contribute to the team. So those days everything is amplified for me and yes. I have chosen some less. I could have chosen. Excuse me some less salty language. But i'm human. And that's what i went with at the moment at that moment. I want to do everything. Pipe possibly can for the team. Every time i touch the mound. I want the ball. I will always want the ball and sometimes that competitive switch doesn't flip off easily. It's a very special astros team. That i have a lot of passion and care for. I just thought. I owed it to our fans out there to hear directly from me on this matter. Thanks have been ironed out from our end moving forward and the focus is solely set on winning. Thanks for taking the time to read this much. Love oto now. Go back to this for a second. I admire honor. Respect thumbs up to anybody who isn't a coward and runs from. It makes excuses in as an i confess. He did it guy jake. Rizzi stepped up to the mike literally. And then do you guys now. is it panning. I don't know but constant questions over. What kind of guy do you want him. I think he made the right move by doing this. There was no excuse in here. He said he did. It probably could have chosen different language but probably in that situation. And i put myself in his situation. I had a guy. One time asked me in the locker room. We got beat the playoff game and we were in the playoffs. One of the twelve ten twelve best teams in the league and we lost in the first thing. I asked me with forty people hanging around my locker. And i liked to think i was always pretty fair to the media and honest sometimes honest to a fault yet. We asked our athletes to be honest and when they are were pissed that they said it and then when they don't give us honest answers and give us player and coach speak. Were pissed because well they gave player coachspeak. A guy asked me. And i quote and i'll never forget it. Can you guys take anything positive from the season now. We just got beat the playoff game. I didn't play my best game. I got a towel wrapped around my waist and forty people standing in front of me and i was part of the reason we lost. Because i didn't. I could've played better and should have and we didn't win. I didn't say well if our other guys as a quarterback your responsibility is to make sure you cover your teammates. I was the reason. What do you think my answer would be when somebody asked me after we kicked ass and had a hell of a season got beat the playoffs. Can you take anything not something anything positive from this season. And i didn't go off for would've been some ransomware as you throw. But i made it point blank clear and i to the point where i his tail between his legs. By the time i was done with him and so i get the emotion i do. I would rather have jake wanna fight the manager then not i just think the platform then you go communicate with your coach. Walk into an office but this i think this is this is this is a grown ass man answering questions and doing the right thing now. What happens going forward. That's that is to me. That'll be the question. So i'd ask you and your thing if your boss walked up to you the water cooler and said you know what you're only good for hours a day and you've had a rough day and you've heard that a few times and you turn around said would you say and it's not even a boss. It's it's a co worker. That's your their subordinate. Or just a t a co worker. That you're both in sales man. You know what you're really good about four hours a day. They're not joking. They say every single day man for four hours. You're good wants to noon hits you. You're not any good at this job. You better pick it up. Excuse me you see how you now you see it and the difference between our jobs and his job is everybody's watching it. Every single movie make so. "Like him. If not him. You know what happened to shawn watson. We'll be playing quarterback here for the houston texans. 'cause it takes somebody who's been there and understands it to know how to get through it and unfortunately the communication here before nick caserio has been like a two year olds who are still trying to learn to talk trying to communicate and even they communicate better. Why because they put a smile on their face and they go play on the playground and say okay guy. I'm talking. Go change our diaper but they communicate even when they can't talk you fail me. What a disaster. Tom brady last night. Proved why communication matters on the field off it and dak prescott was put in a bad way. And if you're not going to hand the ball ezekiel. oh elliott. They need a fire the coach or get rid of the player and that i have an idea which one would be better if they don't pick this temple up. Take your calls. John and everybody else. You're gonna get a great year from dak prescott. I don't know about the rest. I just i don't tampa bay buccaneers fans by your super bowl ticket. So you playoff tickets now. 'cause didn't play your best football but when tom brady has got the ball in his hand late. Good chance you're gonna win. That's that houston texans fans. I hope you love football and you can get the joy out of football that you love. I'm one of the few in the town that tried to be a glass half full guy and still when it comes to the texans and pulling for them beyond belief and i'm not a texans fan. I'm an oakland raiders slash. Las vegas raider fan. But i root for the team here because i like to see fans happy and i think that there's going to be one of these years that i actually do believe that there's people that if you can't win nine games or ten games people are going to be okay not okay meeting and their dna but they'll be bum during the game but as it gets closer to the end of the season and what's happening in the next year's draft. I have a question for fans. And i want you guys go in light it up because i'm being serious about this. I need your insight. We're going to hear what joke jayco too busy. Said we're going to switch to the astros here for a second. We'll get back as a texans. Continue their preparations and hopefully they'll shock us. I don't know how long they can't because sometimes when you stack up the personnel that you saw on bowl team last night compared to this one I i think it's a pretty good measuring stick of how far they gotta go. And you know what would made it closer number four communicating that. If he wanted to play here that we can work it out and now with the legal stuff that hopefully that will get worked out but regardless we love ya you love us we going to build this future again because people do stupid things and unfortunately heinous things and if they did happen hopefully that the the the both sides get hurt and it gets worked out where both sides get to move on with their lives. The right way. Don't i don't know the legal stuff i just don't but i can tell you this i'm asking this and i want you guys to seven one. Three two one two five seven ninety do decisions. Do you believe decisions. Let's say you're the gm or the coach making decisions on your franchise or at your job even at your job if you're in a leadership position or if you're not in a leadership position and you'd like to be you're sitting next to a co worker and you're judging them from their decisions in sports specifically here do you believe that guy's decisions off the field make concern about what kind of decision maker. He'd be on the field. You get my point with the deshaun thing and like i said. This isn't admission that he is risen. I don't know the guilt or not guilty. Or if he did it or didn't do it. The attorneys and all those people know what's going on. I don't and i quite frankly give me a six stomach thinking about it. And i quite frankly don't wanna know right now because i just hope everybody comes out of this with less scars and peaceful whoever it is and whatever it is but as a decision maker as a player on the field and a decision maker off-the-field in choices you make. Do you believe that he wanted to date your your quarterback or your pitcher or your anything. You're coach. do you believe that off the field decisions kinda dictate. What kind of decision maker. They'll be under pressure or under temptation on the field. I think you know where i'm going. I'm just curious if you look around and say well let's go through. That guy doesn't mean he can't make a mistake and still be a great player. I don't mean that but do does. Is it alarm for concern for you. When people make decisions that are in a position to make decisions every day as a leader on your sports franchise do decisions off the field if they weren't even if they're not illegal decisions whereas like why is that do that. Why is he always out or drinks too much or he's not having any fun or been divorced for times or like. I said i'm not judging. I'm just curious. And i'm being serious. This i don't have a yeah but i have my opinion but i want your seven three two one two five seven ninety in your life. Do you believe that decision. May they go hand in hand did good decisions makers away from their sport or their job are usually pretty good decision makers or great decision at their job. Someone three to five seven ninety leads to this decision. We heard from jayco torrisi the other night emotion fired up a topic of conversation and play custom care about the customer. But the timing he was he was frustrated. He wants the ball wants to pitch. I don't know any really good player. Let alone great player. That somehow someway doesn't want the ball when it matters if your guy if your guide doesn't want the ball or doesn't want them on his hand like brady at the end of the game first of all i won't be good at it. Second of all he won't have the guts to get through it on a consistent and sustaining basis. And third of all you should not want him because he's just a guy. Now jayco theresa may be just a guy and a good pitcher never great. That's fine results as.

"What happens here where the astros as we saw throughout most of the first half. They stepped up when they were playing good teams. They stepped up their playing bad teams. They were about a five hundred team while they're playing a very good team here in chicago. The white sox have not yet named their rotation but it looks as though the astros will go with mccullers torrisi and valdes coming out of the all star break so very interesting series. Here i think for chicago you're going to cruise to the division. You can beat up on the teams in your division but can you step up in class and play well and the last time they played. Houston it did not play well at all so curious to see how this series is line and if chicago kind of makes a stand here after what happened to them in that series down in houston so the first weekend after the all star break is not one that i enjoyed betting a whole lot. You think about when you come back from vacation. Are you in work mode. Are you ready to go. No not really so. Don't really love betting a lotta volume coming on the all star break and also to somebody to keep in mind here is that we're going to wind up with starting pitchers that hasn't pitched in nine ten eleven days. It's sort of like the start of the season where you make that last spring training. Start then maybe you get skipped because of off days something like that. Well a lot of these guys. By the time they pitch. They won't pitch since before the all star break so we could be talking about teams skipping guys could could be talking about independent. How off as we were talking about guys not having pitched in eight nine ten days. How sharper those guys. Going to be a really big question mark. So i generally give it a little bit of time. Coming out of the all-star break we'll see what the prices look like and things were going very well with the picks for the last three or four weeks or so so we'll see what happens but as i said i wouldn't be shocked if i've got a lower volume of plays here coming out of the all star break just because we've got everybody getting back to work. The uncertainty of the trade deadline big gaps between starts all these kinds of things so a lot of considerations as always but. I guess we'll just have to see what the odds look like as they get posted here for the friday card head over to. Ats dot io. Check out my college football contact by paul ratings season win. Total stuff going to maybe do some stuff on head coaches soon and try to work a little bit more on the nfl which that season coming up very very quickly here. And i saw the hall of fame. Game like twenty something days away so yeah it never ends in this business for me..

"Forty or fifty cents. Yesterday i had the over in this game nine seven final for the mariners so that was a nice pick their but money will come in against seattle. Quite a bit as we go forward. And then lastly we saw some twins. Money with baileigh. Ober against dylan sees dylan a guy with decrease spin rates here over the last little while so maybe the market kind of looking to fade him a little bit. Maybe that's what it was related to but the white sox did end up with that win there. Some light moves here for thursday. The total between pablo lopez zach f. One's gone down from eight to seven and a half for some day baseball in philadelphia. Some early evening baseball. I should say on the casteel line. Move in the game between the reds and the padres part of this one. I'm on kiss steel and the reds for the first five. That's a fate of riot. Weather's primarily but also louise casteel with a really good month of june so people kind of buying stock in him. Can't say that. I disagree with that. As his left on base percentage over the first two months of the season was very very low if he gets some positive aggression with that should be a much better pitcher here going. Forward jacob degrom and ian anderson get together today between the mets and the braves net is going up from six to seven out there in the betting market. So maybe the braves going to hit. Jacob degrom. I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens in that one of the rockies are taking money today. That's a game. As i mentioned that i'm on. That's a fate of adam wainwright on the road. Completely agree with that line. Move on you can read about that one over at eighty s dot. Io and lastly leno. johnny cueto money on the giants today against the arizona diamondbacks. That's my other play for today. On the under nine in that one with merrill kelly going for so take a look at the weekend preview here and we start with the dodgers and the national's tony goslin and patrick corbin tonight. Julio yuri us and max scherzer tomorrow clayton kershaw on a spigno on saturday. Trevor bauer and joe. Ross on sunday. Of course we'll see if bauer makes this start in light of the horrible allegations that came out yesterday regarding potential sexual assault off. You've read the athletic article. Certainly sounds like a mess of a situation for all involved. We'll see what happens. We'll see if major league baseball steps in prevents the dodgers from using bauer. I don't know what's going to happen with that. But you know. I hate talking about these things in the context of betting because there there's so much bigger than that of course we'll see if power is able to make that july fourth start otherwise the dodgers get a lefty tonight and corbin. The dodgers struggle with lefties as we all know righties the rest of the way though after tonight the nationals have been hitting a little bit but man that your es insures are matchup. Looks really really good. There on friday kershaw a on saturday. The dodgers will be a big road favorite in that one so not sure. We'll have a ton of betting opportunities in this series but we'll see how the nationals do stack up as that. Offense has been playing quite well. The astros and the indians here from rebel dez and giancarlos mahia lance mccullers. And sam henches jayco torrisi. Eli morgan and then zach cranky and to be determined on sunday for the indians. Indians have the bullpen advantage in this series. But that's it and also the indians a big regression candidate as we know if you look at any of their alternate standings metrics. You can see that. They are one of the biggest overachievers in all of baseball. This season and their recent schedule has been really friendly. Their most recent opponents have been the tigers twins cubs for just two games. Pirates orioles mariners cardinals orioles. They play houston this weekend. They played tampa bay starting next week. The indians have a very difficult schedule up to the all star break and really throughout the month of july. So that's why. I talked about what you know. It's a good time to take a piece of the white sox for a series for division future. Maybe a pennant future. Something like that because don't probably have a much bigger lead for the division by the time the all star break rolls around now that the indians are playing a much more difficult schedule in the month of july. So i don't know if we'll get chances to fade cleveland against these good teams but maybe we do get some here this weekend against the astros although valdez already a massive favorite for the game coming up here tonight the raise in the jay's no not ray j not a sex tape here the tampa bay rays and the toronto blue jays to be determined and alec minoa on friday chain mcclanahan ross stripling saturday ryan yarborough and robbie ray on sunday as i just talked about the rays hit for a lot more power on the road than they do at home. Toronto obviously having a big offensive showcase with regularity now really interesting series to say the least here blue jays do get a couple of lefties mcclanahan and yarborough will see what the raise due on friday with their pitching setup but ross stripling turned it around robbie raise pitching really well could end being a decent series for the jays. But i'm not sure if they'll be a lot of betting value in this series the red sox and the as you know we've seen boston struggle a lot out on the west coast and in particular in oakland. I think back to a few years ago. Oakland swept boston at home..

"God's can't or won't reverse occurs once it's given so as a reward for his devotion or maybe as an apology athena gave tiresias the gift of future site though he could not physically see he would now be able to tell what was going to happen in the future and this is how tiresias became a prophet. Today there is a lot of technology that can help people who are blind or visually impaired a writing system for the blind braille was developed in eighteen twenty nine it allows people to read with their fingertips really and things like refresh braille displays to read on a computer and cameras. That can translate types. Writing into braille have made life a lot easier a lot of people. Wow but those things can't change your biological sex right. Well that's the next story. Let me set it up. I okay you ready okay. Although theresa's was born male and identified as a man he was later turned into a woman. Okay now let's go back and see how it happened. Those movies really made an impression on you didn't they. Yeah it's a really cool thing. The device it's okay anyway one day many years after athena turn tiresias into a prophet he was once again a leisurely stroll in the woods when suddenly out of nowhere. There was a pair of sneaks in the middle of the path now like many rational people. Theresa's was terrified of snakes and he bang them over the head with his walking stick. Were they hurt. Unfortunately yes they were gravely injured. There are more than three thousand species of snakes and only six hundred are venomous of those six hundred. Only seven percent can kill or significantly injure a human. It is unnecessary for humans to hurt one of these innocent beautiful perfect creatures. Who most likely would never hurt them. You know i might have argued the validity of some of those points with you but in this case the only thing that matters is that hera. The wife of zeus agrees with you. She was outraged and horrified. The tire easiest would hurt the poor little. Snakes hera was the goddess of marriage and family and does to snakes were a little snake family and although i do not personally relate to her on several topics i do consider her a kindred spirit when it comes to the treatment of snakes and other reptiles fair enough. Hera was furious. What tire easiest for hurting this do you. Will you move. Spent the rest of your life as my and because harris servants are female and hera herself the goddess of the life of women decided to turn into a woman. He remained female for the next seven years and even went on to marry and have children. He finally got the chance to redeem himself when there was another pair of snakes on his path in the woods years late instead of hurting them. Tyree ceos'd gave a low bow and went on his way. Herro was pleased and determine the easiest had learned the error of his ways so she turned him back into a man. Torrisi was very happy in his true form but his time is a woman at his time. Spent relearning how to live. His life without site had been well spent. These experiences led him to develop even greater empathy and understanding for people who were different from him. This helped him with his prophecies as he was able to connect and resonate with people of all different walks of life and with that. I think this is a good place for a commercial break. I mean not that there's ever really a good place for a commercial break but if there was to be a good place this would probably be it anyway. We'll back in a little bit. Just take a break. Do you like snakes. of course you do. That's because you're thinking reasonable. Being not only are they beautiful majestic creatures but they also help manage pests like rats and ticks. Cassandra cassandra was from troy. And was the youngest daughter of king priam and queen hecuba. Now as a princess. Cassandra had a fairly easy life. She had plenty of food friends and entertainment and she also had many suitors. Some of these suitors were even gods themselves including apollo son of zeus. Apollo was the god of many things. Light archery healing medicine and even prophecy. That's right so basically. He was a bit of a catch and he really loved cassandra. He loved her so much that he wanted to marry her and make her his bride. Now cassandra liked apollo. All right. i mean he was a god after all but she wasn't sure about the whole marriage thing she knew she had plenty of suitors at her back and call and god's weren't exactly known for being stable life partners so she put off apollo's proposal telling him she'd have to think about it weeks. Went by and apollo was getting impatient. God's aren't used waiting around for what they want. Sandra or have waited longer. Don't what will it take for you to become my wife. Cassandra had to answer carefully here. She knew the turning down a god could get messy and she definitely didn't want to end up transformed into a bear cower. Whatever you think. I would make a good wife. She said what are give you a gift. Apollo ast give only ago could give you and before she could say anything apollo had given her the gift of prophecy right away. "A strike. At 85 Miles an hour. It was a cutter on the inside part of the plate. Again, the cutter could look like the slider. The slider can look like the curve ball, and it really is disconcerting for a hitter knowing what speed and which way it's gonna break because he's got five different shapes, too. Woman spent all of 2020 at the alternate site. Next bitch! Oh, on one that's called Strike. Strike two. It was in and it was down, but it was relatively Higher than the ones that we saw not called for. Oh, Torrisi, So a couple of inches up and maybe we're now establishing Jordan Baker's strike zone. Two balls in that one in 94. Let's see what he does with Chazz McCormick here. Veiled Tuesday after the walk leading at first Darvish fires that's down. One ball and two strikes. So is Chazz McCormack like If you were to send somebody into a time capsule for baseball player, a 1 88 average but four homers and nine hits. Well, it's 2021. This is how we play today Walks, strikeouts homers All sorts of guys have four homers and six R B Isar and hit under 208 hits and four homers happens all the time. Martini sets up outside Darvish rocks and froze. That's a nasty slider. He swings and misses and Yu Darvish picks up strike out. Number one inside.

"It happened on, uh, last year. Only I only pitched three and a third. You got hurt last year, and I think you did get hurt. Yeah. Must have. Yeah. So he's a name out there, and I know you're far behind is gonna be even though well, and it's a 26 Man roster this year. That's another thing. It's not thirties, right? It's not 28. We're going back to Pre pandemic rules in some of the categories, not with a runner on second and extra innings and all that, and Way we were also going. What's the deal with the Javier Lopez rules? I call it the looky. Are we chucking the looky there going back to? They're gonna do that again. You could have to actually better minimum rule this year because that was not put in for the pandemic. That was Yeah, it was separate. So I got assume they're gonna roll with that again, right? Yeah. I haven't heard anything else. I was assuming. Yeah, that they were gonna do that. I didn't love it. But I think it's here to stay. It was already there had to be studies done, right? How much time that actually saved? Because isn't that what that was? It was, let's say a time. Yes, I don't know. I don't think it's save that much time And it's certainly changed the outcome against Yeah. And specifically giant games that I saw. You know, you didn't have the quite match up you want. So you're not gonna Have specialist you can pitch around guys and the Giants, the strength of their not going to say the strength of their team. Maybe of their pitching staff. They got to get better in the starting rotation this year. And I think there's reason to believe that they will. But I, you know, I think an area is going to be there. Loading up on relievers. Jake McGee blows hard. You know, Whistler with a slide ball. He got Tyler Rogers. I don't even know it. Is McGee gonna be the closer on this team? That's what we'll just send me a text. Three Better minimum stage. Thank you for listening, Mark. Thank you. Yeah, I read this morning was it wasn't bags piece that Yeah, He could be the closer and he throws what does he throw 96% of the time Star heaters. And last year, I think last year some of these pitch breakdowns you kind of kind of have to take another grand salt because guys weren't properly. So if here You know, just don't want to hurt. You Lean on your fastball. He's got high and fast ball. But he threw nothing but fastballs. I think going to camp and preparing properly now he'll be able to mix his other stuff in a little more of a slider, But, yeah, I mean, he he has that kind of makeup. She ever done it before Jake McGee. Yeah, he said. I think I think I read this. One of those. You have 45 or 46 career saves and Tampa. Did he do it for a whole year? That's not a lot. They didn't in Tampa and then I think in Colorado, they tried I've never seen in Colorado over the picture. But then he was a big deal for me. Hey, the 19 savior and 14 of the 15 savior and 16 in Colorado, So he did it part of the time. It was never a full blown closer. By the way, I'm looking at some of these names here and look these air. Some of these guys are old guys like Jeff said. Marge is not signed Jake area to Cole Hamels. Oh Torrisi, Mike Leake, James packs and Rick Torsello not saying these guys are great, but I'm saying that I am a bit surprised given the landscape that these guys haven't taken like a one year. Three million with a lot of incentives on it. They will not quite a few. Not now. We gotta strike now. We gotta sound any other bell, they will know. There will be events, aren't you? And from what I'm hearing. I think there is reason to think. Expanded playoffs is still gonna come back. That is just such a big difference. That's three extra playoff spots in each league. I think it's going to. It just makes too much sense, and there's too much money involved. Those guys do not do it. Now. You understand that devalues the Regular season, but I don't think they much care. I think they're just trying to get as much revenue as they can, and that's a revenue generator. So By the way, This just came across Jed Lowry. Re signs of the ace, But this is what is this a bad time? Yeah, The great kazoo is back, Billy Way. They didn't have a second basement. I think Tony Kemp was their second baseman. So I don't know if he's healthy. I don't know. But when he went to the Mets, he got paid, and then I only what do you play for him A handful out. He's a good player, but he's healthy. Yeah, Watch him have a monstrous year. She's was going to say he's gonna have better numbers. And Marcus Simeon and Tommy lost Ella. Just watch what he does. This is what Billy does. Looks like he's been Sean. They didn't offer Simeon anything. And then Jed Lowry is just sitting there. He played last year. You didn't play. He shut it down. Last year, he had nine game you played in nine games was hurt. He was constantly hurt in that in that 2009 games in 2019 2019 year, right? I'm looking in 2019 year. I didn't play last year. He was hurt. Last year he played. He had 23 homers 99 for the most of it was in the first half. Remember that first half he had in 2018 great. And then second half he fell off. And then he went over the Mets and with sand and he got hurt. How old is he? 36 37 37 misses his age 37 cm? Yeah. Third time back with watch him. Have a great year. This year. That guy's a player. Yeah. So now they've got a shortstop with giant one point after Joe Panik left. Yeah, I thought about Laurie here and he's played well for the age. Gotta go much They get him for $15 an hour. How much really saying Legal. I'll give those guys credit. They got Elvis Andrus from the from the Rangers, and they got rid of Christina..

"Spot. Yeah, I could see that you've got yes. And the top of the order getaways leading off against righties and his bad number two against lefties. He hits well left on left. He's kind of Ah, not gonna stay reverse splits because he hits Right as well. But he does It left. He's really well. Hmm. And Slater was great against lefties. So it Z interesting. It's an interesting lineup. I would think maybe Solano, if he hits like he did last year might be a guy that you might see. Every day. What else? Yeah. So here's the interesting thing. So we got the lineup and I don't know. Jackie Bradley Jr is still out there. Uh, I don't think they'll do anything. Who knows? I mean they were in play. For another outfielders, so we'll see. But I think on we could carry Crowley on yesterday. And I just looking at the starting rotation. You know, they didn't bring Alex Alex Wood in But there I think they need one more left handed starter, and Kerry said that and I thought that all along You know he's out there still, and he was talked about with the Giants earlier in the off season and then when they signed Alex would they kind of went away from it? Oh, Torrisi still out there, Jake Odorizzi, But I'm thinking of the stylish beautiful left hander Cole Hamels. Mm. Oldest Cole. How would you feel about Cole Hamels? You say this rare 37 so he just turned 37. Yeah, number. What is that number is looking like Mm. Last see last year's hard because you know, like trolling through it. And I mean, the last time he pitched Hey, had 27 starts for the Cubs in 2019, and he had a 3 81 so Yeah. On acid Wrigley Running which way the Hawk is blowing, and Scott Harris knows him well from when he was a Chicago cub free love Philadelphia. Yeah, I wouldn't mind him. I mean, like you said, I mean, they have continued to talk about it. But there's a number of guys and last year they brought in a couple of guys that you know you're kind of Let's take a flyer on that, And I think that that's something you still have to do. As far as the pictures are concerned, because, well, a lot of marketing snapped up by the way, I heard Odor easy. Wanted something in the neighborhood. Not enough. This is accurate. I just read it. But like three years 45 million He's not your pricey scratch his name. Yeah, I didn't have handles. I think you could get obviously much cheaper. Yeah. One year deal. If I'm the giant I just want to. I want to keep my flexibility for next year because so many contracts are coming off. There's so much uncertainty in all sports about as far as what the what the future's gonna hold us far as revenues concerns. I just wanna keep things open. So I got to get somebody on a one year and I gotta believe that somebody like camels. Yeah, he'd be open to one year. Another guy that maybe someone you know their pitchers and catchers are reporting the 15th, which is what President stays that Monday. I think it's Monday so You could bring him into camp later. You know hitters you could bring in closer to the ringing of the bell. He'd have to get his arm. I don't know where he's at. But I still think, um, they need one more left in the starting rotation. Now they could move somebody from the bullpen there and they made go. They may do more openers than wait. We think they would do I don't know how they would do it with Alex would would be a candidate for an opener. Without question. We're not gonna live with guardsmen you're not going to do with Johnny. Johnny doesn't like that. I'm James packed in as a signed anywhere yet. He's only 32. He's out there is well, Torsello. He's nice, Taiwan Walker. Packs to hack. His name was mentioned earlier. I like him. And Yeah, he's 32. Maybe he's asking for too much money and 32. No, he's coming off some injuries. But yeah, there's there's some decent names out there. Still, that I think would be good, and I think they could, whether it's a left your writing's like you said preference is probably a lefty. But there's some guys on this list that have you know Taiwan. Walker still hasn't signed. I know he's a writing, but he had a decently year last year. He's he's a guy that could take a chance on and probably wouldn't cost you a lot. These guys at this point would go for one year deals, which is what you want. By the way they're seeing the valuation on Cole Hamels is about four million a year. Would you be cool that like, what is it? How much here About 40? Yeah. When you're four million would be worth it. Well, you could incentivize it. You know, Alex Woods contract is interesting. The way they're crafting some of these contracts. There are interesting. I'm not sure you want to make Cole Hamels unopened. Er, but yeah. Think 40 million. You know, maybe get him a little bit cheaper since you still on the market and then building built in incentives. Different benchmarks and they don't do with winds anymore, or even necessarily innings pitched its They have creative ways. Alex was contract is creative in the way they The way they crafted that that would be you know again, you defer to Scott Harris a little bit. They have scouts that have been watching Cole Hamels has been around forever. Maybe after he left, Philadelphia went to Texas, Chicago and then last year, he hardly pitched..
