How to Attract New Affiliates and Keep Them Happy With Brittany Bankston

"What's your advice. Like top two or three things that you do to attract really good publishers. I like to call them publishers. Some people call them publishers. Some people call them affiliates. Everybody has their lingo. But what do you do to attract Good affiliates and keep them happy and keep them promoting to your offer. I mean honestly. I would say the. It's really transparency. I think i think that's really important in the industry because like you kind of touched on before it's you some people Alert back there do what they have to do to make a quick buck. And i mean we all wanna make money. The name of the game know that's why we're here. But at the same time i think just being open and transparent you know when it comes to even think such as payouts her. You know what you're getting or kinda margin you're taking you know seen a lotta networks out there were. They'll take twenty percent margin. Which i mean. They know that you have to make something on it but at the end of the day if you have publishers sutter working hard to keep you know you just keep going. Keep the happy than. I don't think there's any reason why you're you should be taking such high margins like that. Just just yeah. Communication and transparency. You're probably my biggest things. Okay and do you find that you know that people or affiliates flock to something because of the payout like you know if somebody's paying ninety and then somebody goes to ten like. How do you avoid like these price wars. You know like a lot of these. You know when offers are similar. It's like oh walk ninety five. We'll offer one hundred. We'll offer one two and just kind of feels like it never ends. So i mean obviously transparency. I'm sure helps but is there anything else that helps to kind of keep people from jumping from one place to the other. Yeah i mean for you know here and there if you've been in the game long enough and you know what you're doing it's all based on. Abc's so i mean if you're going to have like some hissing match price war than like by all means like about fine but to be at the end of the day. It's how it's backing out. So i mean there's advertisers networks that are going to give you eighty dollars. Say on an offer. But they're going to scrub the shut out of it on the back end so like alternately if you know we're giving you succeed and it's backing out the same lake. What does it

Curry's 30-point run ends

"Out there that says rules are made to be broken. Well, records are made to be broken as well. Streaks are made to be surpassed or made to come to an end, and it just so happened. That Steph Curry ran into a formidable defender in Russell Westbrook as the Warriors air wrapping up their road trip on Wednesday in Washington. Steph Curry has to take on for the most part. The battle of the hounding the aggressiveness. Russell Westbrook and you know Russ is tenacious. I mean, The man's relentless He likes to prove a point. He likes a personal challenge. This was a game in which the Warriors were up big early. And then we're up by 11 in the fourth quarter. What got sloppy. And then the shooting went cold in the fourth and so very quickly, the Wizards were able to narrow the gap. They were definitely missed opportunities for the Warriors. But the Wizards were able to take care of. There's real rocking the cradle back and forth. I'll cut stores, right head down right block to the basket Bank and score bacon score because he runs by Russell Westbrook. Hello five as it was to fly high 1 14 1 10 with 55 seconds left. Bradley. Beal had 29 points in this matchup against Curry. Top two scorers in the N B A to start tonight, Curry had just passed. Bradley Beal Washington rallies from 11 down in that final quarter. But even in that last minute after the lay up with Dave John that you hear with Dave Johnson on the Wizard's radio network, even after that, Warriors got a big feel and Andrew Wiggins blew a wide open layup that would have tied the game in the final. I think it was the final 10 seconds I was listening to the game on the war years radio network.

He's been doing a lot of cool stuff for a long time. So now he's he's a great guy now before we get into get an all those types of things which you know. It's really surprising to me how much it's taken over. The world's right used to be there was always a question. What source control. do you use like. that's not a question. I hear all often these days not at least as much as they used to be. But before we dive into the details of that. Let's start with the story. How'd you get into programming. This is actually a really fun story. I was ten. I was in the library because they had the computer. And we'd play video games. And the methodology of how you do this is you. Go up to the counter and you flip through the book and you go find the video game and show them that page and they give you the disk and you save icon. You take the khan and put it in the computer. You play the game. So i finished playing my game and i went back to the desk to go pick Another one flipping through the plastic sheets. And i found a drawing program. Was that the. I'd like to play this game. They gave me an eight and a half by eleven sheet of paper. The top two thirds was graph paper. You know grass and the bottom third was how to write the program to draw that onscreen.

Apple Was Third Largest Seller of Tablets in India in 2020

"More growth for apple in india this time on the tablet front macrumors has new numbers from idc show ipad growing. Its market share there by thirteen percent year over year. It's kind of a good news. Bad news story. The growth was enough to put apple and third in terms of tablets per india. The bad news the top two players lenovo and samsung saw their shipments grow more than one hundred fifty percent each compared to two thousand nineteen macrumors says. That's because they sell cheaper low end tablets compared to apple's ipad line. I said it was good news bad news but it can be spun back to good news. Third-place means there's room to grow which is the kind of thing. Investors like to hear.

Elsie Teaches Emma To Be An Internet Mom

"You're listening to beautiful podcasts. Emma recently shared that. She's expecting a baby this summer. So in this episode. I'm giving her a one on one on how to survive life as an internet mom online bullying in general overstepping in parenting on. The internet is always tough. But it's extra extra extra tough when you're a brand new mom so if you're at a similar stage in life to us this episode is for you and if not you can just listen and be glad that it's not you. Yeah yeah i was like how about we do an episode where you just give me advice about being a mom online. Because i just feel like. That's one area that People get royal judgy in mean on like even more than normal yet. I'm like ooh what's going on with this. Like i didn't become a mom till i can't remember enough. I was thirty four. Thirty five luscious say. I was in my mid thirties. When i became a mom so i had a whole decade of watching other people do online before i started so i knew it was gonna be rocky in that way. Yeah and it was everyone has boundaries whether you see them or not but even if you feel like you have pretty tight boundaries other people will not see it that way and it's it's just very challenging because a lot of the meanest comments you'll get our projections. It's not even really about something you did. It's about something that that person feels or that that person went through or that they're somehow trying to protect your child from so let's jump in. We've been blogging fourteen years so we definitely know how to deal with rude comments. Let's just put that out there. In the beginning it does get easier. We know how to delete in block. We know how to respond. We know how to learn from something. That is legitimate criticism. All of those things are normal to us for seasoned pros but when it comes to being a mom it does change it a little bit and I wanna give them a pep talk. That i never got because in some ways i wasn't prepared and i think especially in my first year of parenthood. I was a little bit more defensive than i am now. I wish that i wouldn't have been interesting. The internet tends to get really really invested in bloggers having babies and. I know that this already happening to emma. Even though it's like she's the most private person. I know a lot of bloggers. And she's probably like in the top two. Most private bloggers out of all of our group of friends. And it's still going to happen. So take notes emma. Here's your pop talk. Are you ready. Yes. let's do it. Yes and tell me and tell me what you think about each thing. Because i want to hear your thoughts to. I don't know parenting. I wanna say up front like the one of the reasons why we didn't make this parenting podcast and why we don't do. A lot of parenting advice is because that's not our job and we know that like i don't want it to be your job but i think in this one episode. I think it's worth it to just like go there Because we have learned some things and you're about to enter into a season where you're the most tired and the most stretched then that you've been in a long time and then to pile people being mean to you on top of that is just not fair. That's what i wish people. Well and i definitely feel like When people have made comments or criticism of my job which is like pudding In craps and things like that on the internet so if someone's like this recipe sucks. I'm like well you know this. I m putting this out there as a part of my career. Cookbook out. I you know have a. That's a big part of what i do on our blog. I feel a lot more like okay. This is what i'm choosing. But i don't really consider being a mom part of my career. I consider it something that i've always wanted to do. And i'm sure. I will want to share photos of my child and and myself being pregnant and things like that here and there but i don't really think of it as this is a career move. I just think of it as oh my mom's going to want to see this i'll post. Yeah okay well. It's harder when it's like that on that. No i have to skip ahead to point number five. Just read too early because it relates to what you're saying it says okay even if you make zero dollars from your kid never put them in and at et cetera. People will still call your mom blogger so just like let it happen. I was in a magazine article in. I think like people last year where they were calling me a mom blogger and it also had like clear and joanna from the home edit. They're definitely not mom bloggers either and then it had us with like you know some of the people who actually are mom workers so i feel like just having a kid in some people's minds makes you in the category of mom blogger. But i do think it's own business that the people who choose to do that they make these choices they make these big boundaries. They make these sacrifices. None of those things are we doing. And we're not even trying to enter into that category. It just gets muddy and other people's minds. Yeah okay so my first piece of advice and this is the best advice anyone ever gave to me. Before i became a mom and i think it's the most important parenting advice you can have is that you have to choose to listen to your instincts over everything so especially being a mama will want to give you a lot of advice from everything from you. Know your car seat choice to your education choices. You know if you ever open up about anything personal or any kind of struggle with your kid. The advice you'll get will be overwhelming and massive but your inner voice is already telling you at least for me every point in my parenting journey. My instincts have told me what to do. And i think that you can really trust them. They're there for a reason and they're really the biggest thing that you don't wanna ignore to now that makes sense. Yeah i'd i didn't read a ton of parenting books i've talked before about. I love the danish way of parenting. I and i did read a couple of books about adoption when we were first opting but reading like a ton a parenting books. I don't think is necessary. I think you have to listen to your own. Inner voice and it's good also to get like a core group of other moms who have some stuff in common with. You can listen to them. Like i usually ask my best friend a couple questions a year. You know or ask other moms. Who are bloggers laura. You know like ask her things whenever it has to do with like you know blogger specific stuff so

DawgNation's Mike Griffith Makes Wild Accusations About the Potential of Georgia Football

"Going to read you a comment. That danny sheridan gave to us. I think it was about a week ago. Danny was picking the final four and he georgia to go to the final four this coming season and he said i would say the fourteen would be. George think georgia is loaded in. Georgia does not win this year. They are not going to win for a long time. And by that i mean. Get to the final four. Do you think this is the season as georgia is. Getting playoff are bus for kirby smart and his team. Yeah i've heard that the last few years in kirby keeps finding players in georgia keep finding ways to contend being a contender and actually doing. It are two different things. But what georgia's john paul. As they've stayed in the conversation or as curry says you gotta keep getting those at bats and when he finished in the top ten. Four straight years as georgia's don you recruit as well as kirby has you give yourself a chance and georgia's become known as a place that quarterbacks like to come now. The results have not always blossomed. Is much as people would like but you look at this roster now and jt daniels. Looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the country coming back. He's a former five-star they signed broadband. A grip he was a five star. Wants committed oklahoma. Now they've got gunner stockton committed a twenty twenty two five star. I mean my goodness talent is everywhere and now it's just a matter georgia finishing the job on football field. Which brings me one more comment and we don't we. Don't go out looking at other shows to bring you information. We take it from our own program. And i believe those two weeks ago booger mcfarland. We all know boogers credentials. He said this on on our show he said if you are a bulldog fan and you're going to sit there and stare honestly in the eye kirby has done less with more than maybe even mark. Rick how would you respond to that. Wow i guess. I'd say first of all you've got to get more right. You've got to have those recruiting classes in the top two or three. That's a good problem to apple and as far as doing more with less they're less with pernille they're getting ready. You can't if you can't finish the job though mike. That's i mean you're you're you're you're you're playing right in to what these guys are saying georgia out recruit anyone would maybe the exception of alabama But when are they going to finish the job. That's the question that georgia fans are asking. Yeah it's it's been tough when you win the sec. Three years in a row. And you lose to alabama in the sec championship. Game and twenty eight teeny get left out of the playoff for you. Come within one play of winning the national title twenty seventeen. I mean. i can't answer those questions for you. Know it's funny. You had ryan mcgee up there a few minutes ago talking about the late. Great dale earnhardt. He didn't win the daytona five hundred until his twentieth attempt. So those big game. Victories can be kind of a lucid. And i think that's happened for george. Remember paul kirby smart is only forty five years old. This is only year six for him. You look at how long it took guys. Like steve spurrier and nick sabin and they were six seven years into their careers before they got their national titles.

What to Do About a Shady Backyard Where Grass Won't Grow

"We also had a question. This week from sarah and she sent us some pictures to which is very helpful. Says fred my backyard is seventy five percent dirt. Grass is gone. What can be done now as we talked about pictures here fred. It looks like she has some very large trees or some larger trees and some large shrubs that may be giving quite a bit of shade in that area. Okay well that gives me a big clue especially if you can tell by the pictures. In terms of the size of the trees trees compete in two ways as shrubs and other things but at the same time Lawns are meant for open. Clear sunny skies for all intensive purposes. Now there are variations that theme but large trees shade grass so it cannot manufacturers much food they cause the atmosphere under themselves so to speak or or under the tree they cause little higher humidity for the most part grasp doesn't dry as early in the morning therefore subject more diseases of the leaf and so on and then they compete drastically compete with grass roots under under the tree Now having said that it's not impossible to go along. And i think she just flat out going to have to start over the first thing to do at where we can't see it for sure but if she can or if an arborist should be doing you can raise up with the head of the tree you can cause the limbs to be a little higher above the ground You can send the tree out and literally soon it out. Take some branches in appropriate places. Let more light down through the tree. Let more breeze blow through the trees dry grass encouraging better growth in the grass and so on it is however still very difficult in many cases under trees to grow on I have indeed on many an occasion where people prize the tree or they prizes position shading their patio evening etcetera etcetera where. We don't wanna hurt the tree at all. We will simply take out the grass. The remnants of the grass or just very lightly work the top two inches in terms of maybe some more organic material. some peat moss and so create a bed in which we're going to fly ground cover. They didn't matter of selecting the ground. Cover i'm gonna say such as myrtle pakistan eighty There are many many things that can be used but it comes time where you either manage the trees and check it the following year or two if the grass is growing better you you leave well enough alone. But as soon as those trees get a heavy hit on them again and continue to compete underneath. They're going to kill the law. That's just all there is to it for the most part. You just don't see lawns well. Lawn light grasses in the middle of wood so at that point you go with mother nature and created ground cover bed. It's well or what. I consider a total disaster would-be to take out the trees. That's that's not my first recommendation ever Rather work with them and on several occasions Without hurting the tree by covering the routes very much we have built up just slightly to get above the tree roots. Now one one of the infamous trees for lawn damage is norway. Maple they they just don't like grass. I swear it's written in their genealogy but They're they're so dense headed rooted and so on I've never allowed for more than two and a half inches of really good up soil being over the top of those roots. Because we didn't want to run a rotor tiller down through the roots and causes damage to the tree roots. So we build up just slightly In most cases now in one case the lawn slope the good bit where we add it only one inch. I'm going to say on the high side. And we put a little wall and put twelve inches of soil over the roots downhill side however Where the roots normally cover the entire area of the top of the tree. We kept the wall in under the edge of the tree. So that the roots that were exceeding the width of the crown could would not be damaged by extra soil. And it's been quite successful. That was done. Twenty twenty a couple of years ago and i've driven by their time or two cents and the bed is still doing quite well. they have gone on out toward the west side down side. All's well and they don't they don't about ruined their shoulders with the bumpy more and they don't ruin the trees roots and the grass is gone not to be worried about.

"Moon guidebook author. Julia joins us now in an interview. We recorded prior to the kobe outbreak. One reason i haven't explored mexico as much as i'd like to. Maybe because i have a hard time pronouncing the pounds. But i think three towns near mexico city that really are like household words for anybody who loves exploring. Mexico are what those three towns. There's semi i n de guanajuato and kenneth at all and you could rent a car and being these towns. What a couple of hours. Yeah it's probably about two and a half to three hours to cut it that. Oh that's the closest san miguel. You're looking at probably about four hours to get there from mexico. City you can hop in a bus doesn't really nice comfortable bus lines or you could rent a car to. Would you do it. If you're flying into mexico city to get to these towns you know. I would take the bus. There are actually buses that come right out of the airport in mexico city to get at that oh and for their. It's you know striking distance to san miguel. So it's it's pretty easy to get around by bus. There's lots of great bus lines. They make it convenient so julie just so we can kind of get our bearings. Give me a quick thumbnail. Sketch of the three towns. Well going to what those starting with. That is a university town with a beautiful colonial central. San miguel day in day is a very laid-back. Small town that also has a very rich history and at the is a medium sized city where you'll get a mix of a lot of different things some business and a beautiful centro also plays really worth visiting julia. If you had to do your sightseeing before you started your actual bake ation. We'll be on your list. What are the top two or three things you gotta see in this town. Well i would start by wandering around the plazas and looking at all of the churches and baroque mansions throughout the central. One place worth visiting. Is the candidate that oh art museum. It's housed in an augustinian convent from the seventeenth century. So the building itself makes it worth a visit but they also have very interesting contemporary work by mexican artists other local artists. So i would definitely put that on my list in between to the market. The makoto crews would you find Artisanal things that come in from the countryside is at a farmers market. What would you be wondering through there. It's mostly a food marquette. And i really recommend visiting it because it gives you a very unique opportunity to wander through a really big bustling city market that again is not touristy at all so you're really getting a glimpse in mexican culture but you're not You know there's other people with their cameras out you feel like you're really getting an authentic experience there but it's also very clean and friendly and easy to navigate. It's not as overwhelming some of the big markets in mexico city say but it has a very similar atmosphere so i think it's a really cool place. I love visiting that. I mean in get at the dell in when you're there wandering through that market and just a little bit hungry. What are some of the regional. Specialties you look forward to trying well. One thing that is very typical of kenneth at o. Are gore dita's which is a big round. Corn cake flattened by hand. And then it's cooked on a griddle and it's usually stuffed with something like pork or she's no prickly pear cactus which is very popular to eat in whole area because the grow everywhere negro really the cactus pear do you call it Yeah and it's called the in mexico tuna. Yes and when you see tune on the menu. It's does not. Tuna fish actually refers to prickly pear fruit. Which is very popular especially in this region because these Cactuses grow everywhere. Wild

"The audience a quick kind of like high level. The top two or three bullish tailwinds. That are really driving this price action. We've seen again a a really bloody three year. Bear market start there. Really kinda come to a solid close and there's a lot of really interesting things happening in the world. That are driving crypto adoption. What are what in your mind. You give the most weight to I guess what everybody's talking about right now like the general situation in global markets ride and Well so first of all. I'd say like general generally the global markets a think another one would be Institutional adoption is really starting to pick up and that's where use next hopefully will have some some some work to do about that's really were bit fanatics shines You know it's the destination for really serious institutional traders run and then third i guess would be The radius now being you know there's significant developments in real world use cases ride like we're getting closer to not much about what's possible rushdie. Starting to do things ride so you have a global market stuff. I mean i'm sure this is talked to death with With you guys than with everybody listens to you right so we don't have too much but all i can say is i guess. Bitcoin crypto in general really. Couldn't ask for a better. It's more like a vantage pretty. Yeah couldn't ask for anything better like you know like it's exactly what everyone was waiting for. You know you go right back to the white paper for bitcoin We're just seeing that again. It's repeat of the great financial crisis except even more extreme. And you know. Bitcoin is redesigned the shine along with all the so that. And then i guess Yeah the institutional adoption you guys might have seen the news today about. is a quite large publicly listed company on nasdaq. I think the colts microstart bits microsystems. Yeah so they've just allocated two hundred fifty million to fifty million yet they got balance-sheet of one point two billion and then they put Two hundred fifty million dollars of their cash reserves into bitcoin which is a little over two thousand bitcoin super wild. Yes absolutely wild. But you know it's it's really again it's It's everything that people were. Were hoping for what we were talking about. Happening is starting to happen and say it'll be like you know slowly slowly a person than all at once

"Percent. Chances Hurricane another good one if you put them in then it's totally different story Obviously it's all about consistency and new. If you want to win the title in the you've got to be consistent and you've got to put those type of games away and then fortunately they didn't do that today. Unfortunately that Fallen back into the game. Got to give them credit as well played a very very tough game that give everything they had. That's what to expect because they fight early gatien so once it's called the equalizer they even try to go. Go full reno there. So it's a lost fo- spurs absolutely lost opportunity to catch up with the top two That's that's the way it went from. The only time spurs did anything in the second half really of note was when i got the equaliser kick out the back side. They needed to get back into life. But you think come on. You know you're supposed to be a team that we talked about being a title contender just a month ago. Why can't you take a stranglehold on the side on you finish them off a simply because one of shen normally to play contracting and meaning playing contract in this in fact that you don't on the ball you don't you leave the ball to the others and you run after the ball and guatemala just made an interview seeing that they've been struggling My city because of the ball and they were running after the ball indicate the they were getting tired. As you can set i think tottenham at many many chance in the first alfred scored it would have been would have been another story but because you run after the ball and i think lamb did very well keeping the ball and making is first running the they got tired and beginning to make the for the two the second half because they couldn't anymore and esther.

Recording sometimes controversial songs and thus paving the way for artists. We celebrate today for owning sexuality. Rainy appeared with jazz bands. Jazz bands traveled with the circus and even retain the rights to her songs. She's on so many levels and viola. Davis portrayal of ma is amazing. She steps right into her shoes. Of course you do rob of course you but not really though. Let's let's just do this. The only thing that we can say is possibly. Kp should be up there. But he didn't play you know so he did well. You couldn't hawaii ahead of ad. I think i agree with that. I can't put Ahead of abc. Right now i think what a younger ad has won a championship. I'm chris will give you his top five list which is pretty good and you could. The problem with a d is that there were moments during the postseason where he was non existent. "You got kind of agree on on something on the radio you did. I raise i like that. I would like to say it. I i do think steps steps a little low him be what was he at chris. At eight yes eight. Kevin hart and i thought that was pretty bad. But i do like your top five. I think that's how far i all i do. Like anthony davis like i. I'm a laker fan but like chelsea you can't get to the point where you get lost in the shadow sometime and sometimes i think he's just gets lost in the shadow. When you talk about five i do. I could see him that up. Four or five take. Here was my slave rob. Thanks had lebron k. d. kuwa- jaanus ahead of anthony davis. They've all proven they can do as a loan. You know not necessarily but go deep in the play offs as the main guy by themselves. Ad never proved that he got to the second round. One time right right. And then. I believe they swept in that second round. They did but they'd be portland. If i remember correctly swept portland. I'd white and then the next round right and nothing. My house obviously is golden state. Right all right. Nick and south carolina. You're on the couple fox sports radio. What's up nick. What's up guys. Great to be back on. Thanks good to have you I got lebron number one obviously Got eighty in that six or seven range. The low janas kawai curry katie. And that order. And i even got luca above eighty. 'cause he showed they can carry the mavs. Here made them an offense juggernaut Critic pretty good on undisputed today and i think you just mentioned it to eighty really can't be in the lead upper echelon because he can't really transform a team into a contender as alpha I know dominated the lakers this year. Pensively but honestly lebron was a motor. That team engaged. Ad really the easier time to score. And i'm just gonna come at a damon number. Seven has got to be one of the most ridiculous things i've ever seen over curry and harden. I've taken injured curry over. Healthy damian lillard and i liked that that. That's their love for him and and it's not warranted. I'd just you can't put a guy who thanks for the call. Nick chris who hasn't won like over those guys especially forcible. What first of all curry has got three championships. And i get it. He's coming off an injury. But you can't penalize them for that then he shouldn't be on the list one of the other right. Are you like you. You said prisoner to moment right. Obviously dame was good in the bubble. But i mean come on. Let's not get carried away and even if you wanted to argue staff just because he's ahead of which i don't put him ahead of steph. That's ridiculous but if you said he's ahead of staff because you know steps coming off injury i don't you harden right. I don't get that either all right. Let's squeeze one more and markham sacramento. You're on the odd couple fox sports radio. What's up mark going on gentlemen. Hey real quick you gotta put that. I see you had to put that. I got robbed on a hat and put that in your in your doing to sail man. I like that real quick Anthony davis injury. History plays in this with me. He can't be ahead of some of those other guys when he's been hurt a lot..

"I maybe top five. I mean you know what i mean like. But it'd be dunkin you know. Lebron was in the in the league. You know i. So i. I must say i would be the best player but i think air my list with you. We're i wanna get to these top two because this is the real crux the first time in been doing this roughly. I don't even know if it's been a decade. It's not like a long time that. Espn has been doing this list. Ten years. they've been doing it for a decade all right but this is the first time they've had teammates. Be one into so as many of you can guess number. Two anthony davis number. One lebron james. I'm gonna go quickly rob and then let you go to this. I think lebron is still number one. I i've no problem whatsoever with this. I think he's the greatest leader. He's the greatest winner. He's the greatest playmaker and he's not the greatest score but he still scores as much as anybody and does it as efficiently. He's not the greatest defender anymore but at the end when it comes down to it we saw he can still lock somebody up when necessary. So i got no problem with lebron number one and then i don't. I don't like idea too though. Ad had three playoff games rob where he took nine or less shots. Unless you're a point guard. The second best player in the league can't do that. I mean. I'm sorry i don't care who it is. I don't mind you haven't an off game. You go four for twenty but to take only nine shots or less. And he had four games rob in the conference finals and the finals where he had five or less rebounds. And you're like so here's my top five and then i'll give it to to mike to you i got. Ad number five. I got janas. Four coup why. Three kevin durant yes. They'll kevin durant to lebron james. That's that's more of an accurate list on just looking at people's talent more so i think the a ad is a typical prisoner of the moment ad and lebron just as as if everyone's forecast them to win the next four championships because that's just what people do they won and so now they're going to win every year and now a d is. Is that player. You already put out the numbers and even in that if you even wanted to make a case with lebron. Adhd actually had better numbers than lebron every category except for sis. So so you know. I can't get with totally. i understand the durant's not coming off. He didn't play last year. Chris so if to take an added in consideration. That doesn't that either..

"Have you seen the list. Yes okay. 'cause i was gonna ask you to guess at number ten nick hola yokich denver nuggets zinta personally a little low. I mean we could get in that. Maybe we'll get into the rest of the top ten later but now number nine this when shocked me. This is low james harden. Who's one of the most prolific scores. We've ever seen in the ass number nine number eight steph curry. I wasn't overweight. Starring changed the gay. As all i have to say. Three words changed the game. Yes all right. That's what you claim to fame today. Valid because to me is the biggest choke job in the history of the nba. His name on that. That's hurry wears whatever. He wears three rings before he wears that. Choke john honest anyway number seven. I don't put this guy had a steph. As much as i like you. Dame dollar damian lillard portland trailblazers now. That that right there kills the whole list. Seriously like really. So you really don't like dame that high. No i may come over steph curry chris come on okay thank you i agree out. Put him over hard. Neither no come on that that. That's way that's way too high for someone who hasn't won anything and then on. Dvd with one year to the conference. Final western conference ronald on. Look at the stats seven. Go look well and look at the conference. At that time you know lebron's out the golden state obviously was taken. But i agree with you. I got him in the top ten but not seven. I got him tip actually six now this when obviously is because he's coming off injury but we all housing a person on the planet other than i guess the people that espn that think. This is accurate. Kevin durant which is absolutely ridiculous. I re re dick all right well this because if you're going to say it's about the injury then he shouldn't be on the list at all if you're holding data stem..

"It. It'd be one thing if they kinda rejoined and it was like all right well. They're kind of getting their feet under. Its hurley's first year. You know maybe they can finish eighth. That should not be the case they should be in the mix and should be good enough to like keep games against villanovan creighton competitive deep into the second half and that's a good thing for obviously connecticut but even better for the big east right circle circling back. Georgetown patrick ewing now entering his four season. Forty nine and forty six overall nineteen and thirty five in the big east finish eighth six eighth in the league in his first three years no. Ncaa tournament appearances. Obviously season not supposed to go. Well everybody has them picked last or next to last in the big east. This is one and we touched on this before years. Like i really wanted patrick ewing to work at georgetown. And i'm not screaming on november fifth. Two thousand twenty that. There's no chance that it's going to. It's obviously not going well. If your george jamf town fan maybe looking for a reason to be encouraged. We mentioned seton hall earlier. Kevin willard mississippi tournament in each of his first five seasons. He didn't made it. Four straight would've made last season if we had an incident tournament. He's a great example. One of the best examples of where patients from that school actually paid off. He's now stabilized that program consistently has it operating at a high level. And for any who die diehard georgetown fans just so that i i hope that i hope the next phase of patrick ewing's a tenure at your school goes similarly because georgetown is especially if you're my age one of the biggest brands in the sports like when i was growing up. Georgetown was this monster of a program with john. And patrick ewing like one of the first athletes. I remember recognizing as awesome was patrick ewing. And now he's coaching georgetown which is just kind of cool in the same way. That penny hardaway. Coaching memphis is kind of cool. And i would like to see it work. Even if it has been a bit bumpy i would too but this is i mean. It's by the way just a hell of a year. Patrick ewing he actually had covert and needed to briefly. Be hospitalized obviously lost john thompson. his mentor Georgetown lists had a complete like it has been a really really rough year. For patrick. ewing thankfully He has his health and that is going the right way. But from from an on-court perspective. Here i just i've got them. I mean they just to me i i'll tell you right now. Georgetown on my list is there in the way down in the hundreds. I've got one twenty two. I got him below. Why got him one spot below wake forest in the one two three fifty seven one of the lowest empowering teams a power conference team so there's not a ton to be inspired with their Depaul by the way I think this is a true hot seat situation. For dave dave lehto There's a new. Ad there dwayne tv. And i'm not saying this will definitely happen. But there's just general. Discussion of dwayne p came from kentucky kenny. Pain left to take job with the knicks. If paul is bad and they make a change. Like kenny painted. Paul already just general curiosity that that will happen there. So if you're to paul fan. That's waiting for something i think. That's the one job in the league where you want to keep an eye on it. Yeah i don. The bottom three seemed to be consensus saint. John's depaul georgetown in some sort of order And i i. I think i mentioned before. Saint johnston georgetown. Because i was still a minor ten team league. But i would put saint. John's editor paul. Yeah top to everybody agrees on in some order bottom three. Everybody agrees on in some order. We get a little wild. You know i. It's a third third eight and the big standings as paul. It's interesting as i was going back and looking at hot seat. Lease hot seat list. From the basque. Dave lehto entered the two thousand eighteen nineteen season on the hot seat. And wasn't that hard. I don't know what to tell you. Okay how about this finished last in the league like that is a combination that usually gets. You got like a. You're you're injured on the hot seat. You finish last year. The right time to go comes back. Two thousand nine hundred twenty. So it's like okay. He was on the hot seat finished. Last it's got to be on the hot seat again. He's on everybody's seats last season finishes last in the league again. All right well that's gotta be it. Obviously pandemic what he's back so he's on hot seat interest on the hot seat. Liz fairly or unfairly. Just it is what it is for the for the third time and just put it this way. I can't imagine what they knew. Athletic director that if they finished last again or even next to last i i don't know how depaw rationalizing rationalize bringing him back even if it is true that the last time to paul was good at men's basketball it was dave leitao responsible for it. Yeah that's the one key situation to track their justice so just as a refresher for everyone keeping track at home at cbs. Our collective we have seton hall three yukon for providence. Five marquette six butler seven. Xavier saint john's nine to paul ten jewish and eleven real quick. We have not talked about xavier. I don't think that's a team. That definitely has a ceiling. I i i don't see travis deals team being top sixteen in the league i i. I don't think they've got enough there. Now paul scruggs is really fun player in fact we just finished compiling list of the top one hundred one players I had paul scruggs about four or five more players on my list to nominate. He just didn't quite breakthrough. He is one of those guys that i think could might make us look a little bit silly if you wind up just being an absolute volume dude and keeping xavier relevant in the league there. They've also got adam kunkle from belmont so they'll be fine but i think they've got a narrower range. The ceiling is lower. The floor is decent. But i don't think anyone real checks this real quick. I don't think anyone even yeah. They're high the highest. They are picked us seven in the league so a little bit of a floor there and then out of the realm of possibility. We are talking golden gate. Mike here that maybe saint john's can leap them. I on that saint. John's at lose some dudes eljay. Figaro over oregon. So we'll see in year two. How the janis respond. Because that was a job when he took it plans to system he was not the right. Not the right guy. The wrong guy for saint john's we'll see if he can prove people wrong but year. Two is always interesting for those kind of hires. Let's see what the adjustment is. Shouts to devon daddy chester south carolina. Terry fatigue religion. just learn. now thank you guys. "About this. If you go to the big east preview on cbs sports app or cbssports dot com. The team picks third by each of you. Me kyle boone. Cortisone in here. I don't know what the dave cobb jerry palm. how about this the third place team. You got providence. I've got butler poems. Got seton hall boone's got marquette. Cobs got yukon. I don't think in. I don't think there's ever been a leak preview we've ever done ever were the team. That's highest. third is a different selection by every single person on the panel. That just goes to show you how much uncertainty is in this league. And then obviously if that's going to be the case that three when you go down at four and five and six and seven. There's not a lot of uniformity weirdly. Everyone except me has xavier. Ah seven i do have providence seven so providence fans love me last year Not as much Keen on me right now. And i and i completely it. Don't get me wrong there but up and down this man providence. I cooly kuli is doing at that school. What's never been done before. I mean he got he got him to four straight until the tournaments flasher still had never been done obviously on his way to being the best coach in that program's history there. They do have good potential. But i just think that this is going to be a complete jumble. W- from his highest is highest as low as eight because to me saint. John's is a is a solid nine. Maybe golden gate mike. Don't leave him out. And then georgetown is i. I was actually shocked Palm has paul. Last georgetown is so easily the last team in this conference. I don't think it's particularly that close real quick on. Marquette dawson garcia. Who was who was the highest rated recruit to come into the league and he was preseason freshman of the year. That probably make sense though. I i don't know it's it's interesting in that the big east doesn't have a top thirty top forty recruits in the in the league. Not the. maybe that'll change next year the year after but this is not going to be a league with freshman stars like how important player dawson garcia is going to be marquette and i wanna see how marquette can bounce back after losing marcus howard. They're gonna have dj carton good player. I've got more forty seven by the way my wanted. Three fifty seven and i do think theo john is an important big down low but when we do these previews i try and usually pin the team to me in each league. That's the most the biggest moving target that most mysterious. I don't have a great deal on marquette seton hall a close second by the way they were third on our list. We haven't talked about him yet. But i mean losing miles powell just like marquette loss marcus howard the two guys. I couldn't remember like four podcasts ago. That's big you know. In remarks gills gone. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt perish They've got sandru mom kayla. Who's returning. And i think that he's very important. Big man But seton hall marquette to me are the two teams. I think will be good. They're just hard to pin down and actually try and figure out where they fit in the grand scheme of college basketball. And then within the league you've got people are clear you've got the hall five marquette six behind providence at three in the new yukon for you. Bring up dawson garcia when we are doing. These conference previews for the website. We got these awards and freshman of the year. What i always do is i go through. The recruiting rankings. And i just start scrolling. Until i see somebody from the league that we're talking about and then i you know the pit them against the other people in that range and then i'd you know i'd type a name and i email it in and looking for sec. You hit that pretty quickly. You're looking for big. Hit that pretty quickly. you're looking for big twelve. You hit that pretty quickly for the big east. It's like all right i'm scrolling. I'm nobody in the top ten. Nobody in the top twenty nobody in the top thirty you eventually get to dawson garcia top forty prospect. But you're exactly right this league. This year did not enroll. You know the five star guys that basically every other power conference enrolls. Yeah and that'll be. That will be intriguing to see what happens. I will say this. I i talk with dan. Hurley this is back in like july. He expects freshman andre jackson to grow into a pretty good one. I i'm pretty sure i. I actually put andre jackson jackson's my freshman of the year. Pick there because he might wind up being an important piece on yukon team. That if if they're in the ncaa tournament picture and it's because of of yes. Book night you got j cole. Who was an absolute stud score at howard. Now he was richard last year. See how he can come in He would be the one also watch to me in terms of freshmen. That could pop. Andre jackson at uconn. And if you by the way if you can't get a cook healthy by mid season he'll be another important factor there Just on that. Note since i kind of unintentional swerved into it The fact that you can't back you know let's just hit on this quick yukon being back in the big east. That's a good thing for twenty. That's happened twenty. Twenty like it's eleven teams round robin twenty game schedule. Geographic fit basketball firstly. Yukons going to. I'll be real. It should be relevant in the league. Top five team in the conference. We both think that's going to be the case there and they have like good fun talent james book night. Talk about a deep sleeper. I'm talking deep deep sleeper for like second team all american. He could be that guy. If you can't really can come out and be even better than you. I think they would be an by that. I mean top twenty. Five team book night could be that kind of player that that guides them there so i'm very excited to see just back in the league and the competition that comes with it. Georgetown patrick.

"Real quick nickel out outta here i think you and i and dan walkin are the only people who watch the americans but we have one episode left what's going to happen to elizabeth and philip jennings all right so you're you're up to date i watched it this morning all right it's a spoiler for anyone that's dvr in this i guess at the end of the episode here we're just about done all right one are they going to resolve stampede men's fiancee's thing here like she wasn't addressed at all in this episode she actually i think they just gonna let it hang that stupid if they do that that's so annoying by the way that would be supremely knowing if that's how they end up going with that but whatever i think elizabeth is a goner she's got that cyanide pill it's going to be swallowed by someone i thought philip flushed it down the toilet i thought she grabbed it when she did she flush it down the toilet i feel like philip flushed down the toilet i feel like he told her flushed down the toilet but maybe not either way elizabeth makes it out of the last episode i don't i agree by the way because she's always been willing to die so she will die i after seeing the penalty facade i now believe that page will live i was kind of fifty fifty on it going into the episode i do not believe there's only one episode to go here so the one thing that i'm fairly confident that's not going to happen they're not going to be arrested like they're not going to jail none of that's going to happen someone's going to die and one way or the other.

"But yes this is what lani walker believes i don't necessarily outright reject what he's saying because i think the possibility of this i don't gp i there is a there is a possibility that what we are living through isn't what we think we're going through it could actually be some sort of simulation i don't i would not say it's more likely than not but there have been scientific studies in theories posited fourth that give possibility to this actual reality here you should you should give it some reman it it's fascinating i opening stuff you're laco we live in america nobody flies and nobody dodges bullets people get shot every minute of the day nobody dodges bullets i understand that perish if it was possible to dodge bullets here in america we should have tried to figure that out now it's yeah that's not what i'm getting what i'm getting at one i believe that what we're living in his actual reality as we know it and this is this is real what we're going through cuckoo like lonnie woman but i do i do believe you have to and i i want to say what's his name the famous famous brilliant man who just died like a month and a half ago even hawking i think stephen hawking said it is more likely than not that what we are going through is some sort of simulation or or something like that one way or the other so i'm just letting you know that this is a possibility it's not what i personally believe in but i will say it's really really fascinating and i love that we actually dipped into it on this podcast but i do think that what we are experiencing we are experiencing for the first time and only we will and can experience this is not necessarily some sort of simulation but there is a belief out there that that is what is actually happening you are kuku for coco boss.

"It's i could certainly see lani walker being a relevant slash good player selected outside of the top ten i think you're spot on with mikhail bridges i don't think his ceiling is his high as some other players but i think his floor is way higher than than most players i don't think there's any i just can't imagine him not being good i don't know if you'll be great but i can't imagine him not being good the way the way he comes off screens and make shots the way he is an incredible catch and shoot guy the way he can't be a twoway perimeter defender he's got good size for the position i just don't see any scenario where mckell bridges isn't a good nba player he might not be great he can be great but he's going to be good as for at least with kyrie irving when he says the earth is flat i know i know he's ridiculous in in possibly stupid but at least i know what he means i can sort of grasp the concept i don't have any idea what walkers talking about like i'm not smart enough to understand what lenny walker means when he said he thinks earth is an illusion we he say like we do not have the time to get into but you see in the matrix movies right like that's one possible outcome that we're living in like understanding that right about this never seen the matrix.

"In one year of being a looking like a top two prospect in this class someone someone outside of topic pixie perish i there's just something about the way that he plays his shooting ability his length i can i can absolutely envision a scenario where we get to next april and we're like holy hell it's eytan and bridges they clearly look like the best players in this draft and bridges went ninth or whatever but that's within a top ten i just think that he's got the best chance of coming close to what mitchell did in year one in terms of guy that's not like a clear cut top five six seven pick however the one player i think outside the top ten even say outside the lottery that i think has got the best chance of winding up being a high impact player looking like a top five prospect in this class one two maybe three years from now i think it's going to be lani walker out of miami and he matches up with mitchell in a lot of respects from the same conference was just okay in terms of his production wasn't an absolute star like mitchell wasn't a clear cut top prospect coming onto league like mischel similar positions over all over the mitchell absolutely is more on ball combo lead guard than walker walkers extremely athletic you've got him going sixteen right now to phoenix i think that's probably right i think if he really winds up impressing late i think lani walker ceiling in terms of getting picked probably around twelve i don't see him dropping further honestly than say seventeen milwaukee i think he's a lock to go in that range i like his ability i also like like i remember watching him as a prospect going into college and like a lot of what he was and i think i'm speaking totally off the top of my head here but i want to say that donovan mitchell might have been rated just a little bit lower than what lani walker wasn't high school so where they were overall in their respective classes i feel like they were pretty close.

"A way higher rate than the previous version and it seems to be mostly rooted in oh my god let's see others difference between three and four but for whatever reason tennessee being third has gotten a whole bunch of attention and i think i saw you retweeted i think you and i are here it feels too high but when they return basically every meaningful piece from an sec cochairmanship team from a team that finished thirteenth kim palm and given what else has happened around the country who's losing whom who's enrolling wear it's about where they ought to be like you could debate that threes too high but six is probably too low i mean they're in that range and so it's gonna be interesting to see what happens with tennessee because what this feels like perhaps is it reminds me of north western from a year ago except tennessee in two thousand seventeen eighteen was better than northwestern in two thousand sixteen seventeen but here's my point we looked at northwestern we said man that was a good team went to the tournament won a game and they returned everybody so now they're going to be an even better team and sometimes when you don't have obvious nba talent you don't you don't make that jump into elite status u s remain really good or pretty good or northwestern case it's possible that you you you fall back to what people thought you were to begin with which is what happened last season for a number of different reasons my question is this just tennessee go from really good to elite national championship contender or do we look up in february and go you know what that was a pretty that was a really good team in two thousand seventeen eighteen that was better than they did it's.

"Totally off the top of my head here have you thought about who else is going to be probable first team preseason all americans because the list isn't great i haven't okay so off the top okay i'd have an all american team of unheralded high school prospects who turned into relevant color here's one here's one that i think will i expect carson edwards to return and he should be a preseason allamerica do give him what he did last year and the fact that his usage is probably gonna go up i would lean toward putting him on a first team because he was really productive last year i think that's a reasonable pick and then and yeah it is there's not gonna be a ton as their this tell me how crazy this although not crazy in the sense that it's probably right but just crazy in the sense that we'd never even imagine this year ago i team preseason all american grant williams from tennessee yeah i know but sec rating see player of the year on preseason team i know it's still doesn't feel just right but that's definitely a possibility man there's got be someone if dante comes back to school on that list spelman would be under consideration but i don't believe coming back to school so we move on yeah you know who i think is a sneaky darkhorse he won't make our list but i think he could play into it at the end of the season i think caches winston at michigan state's got shot was really good three point shooter last year he'll be a junior next season i think he's got a chance but you look at the freshman coming in they're going to get some heavy consideration.
