A highlight from Eric Diaz's Journey From the University of Georgia to Coaching Rising American Alex Michelsen

"Welcome to the official tennis .com podcast featuring professional coach and community leader Kamau Murray. Welcome to the tennis .com podcast. We are here with Eric Diaz. You remember the name? Eric is son of Manny Diaz, coach of Alex Mickelson, Werner Tan, and right now has his own thing called tier one performance out in the Irvine area. Welcome to the show, Eric. How's it going? Thanks for having me. Thanks for having me. It's great to be on. Great to be on. So I interviewed your dad probably about 2 months ago. That was, you know, we were poking fun about him redshirting Ethan Quinn, you know, not choosing not to play Ethan Quinn later. You know he wins NCAA the next year. It was kind of like, what were you thinking, right? Yeah, one of those tough ones. Oh yeah, it was kind of like, did you think he wasn't ready? Was he, did he think he wasn't ready? Like, you know, you probably could have won NCAA twice. That kind of thing but you obviously came from good tennis pedigree. So, I guess the first obvious question was what was it like growing up with your dad being Manny? You know, because I, it's hard not to take work home, right? Let's just put it that way. You're a tennis coach and a child of a tennis dad. Yeah. You know, I don't know. I think anybody that's been in tennis for a long time knows it's kind of a lifestyle a little bit. You know, there's definitely being the tennis coach and kind of, you know, working toward things but it's also, I don't know, the sport takes so much of you that sometimes, you know, it just feels like, you know, it's second nature. It's kind of a part of it. So, I mean, growing up in Athens, growing up around Dan McGill Complex was always a treat. That was back when NCAA's were kind of always hosted in Athens. So, I got to watch, you know, all the college greats. I grew up watching the Bryan brothers get, you know, sadly then they were kind of pegging some of our guys in doubles matches but, you know, it was really cool being able to sit court side, watch those guys and then, you know, be able to watch them on TV a little bit later. Really cool. Really cool experience growing up. Now, from a junior career, did your dad coach you your whole career or did he hire private coaches to sort of teach you technique? Because I know, you know, coaching at a program like UGA, it is very demanding and sometimes the children of the tennis coach lose out to the actual players and the people who are paying. So, did he coach you? How was that? You know, he coached me. I think he tried to coach me but at the same time, he also didn't want to put too much pressure on me to like, you know, really play tennis and go in. So, he kind of let it be my own thing. I started, I actually went to Athens Country Club, great little spot on the outside of Athens. Alan Miller was the main coach there. So, he helped me out a lot. He actually, he was on my dad's first, you know, assistant coaching team where they won a national title. I think he paired with Ola who now obviously has been with USGA for a while. I think they played doubles and I think they won a doubles title as well. So, I think Alan was a part of the first team championship and then he was also, you know, he won a doubles title there too. I think he might have won two. So, I spent a lot of time around him which was also, it was really cool. You know, it was a guy who was a part of the Georgia tennis family. Athens is really tight -knit like that and so it's special to be a part of that family both, I guess, through blood and through, you know, the alumni. It's cool. Now, let me ask you, did you ever consider going anywhere else, right? I mean, successful junior career, one of the top players in the nation, tons of options. You know, it could be like, you know, there's always sort of the, oh, his dad's going to give him a scholarship, right? You saw with Ben Shelton, you know, Brian Shelton. Obviously, he's going to look out for his kid. Did you ever aspire to like go to another top program or UCLA or Texas or Florida? I think growing up, you know, because I got to see all those teams play. You know, I remember in 1999, I looked up this guy who, he played number one for UCLA. I don't know, this guy showed up. I'm a little kid and he had half of his head was blue and the other half was gold and, you know, UCLA was firing it up. They were really good at the time. I remember that was my dad's first national title in 99. And, you know, ever since then, I really, you know, I looked up to the guys. Every now and then, I got to sneak on to a little travel trip and, you know, I got to see what it was like. But, I mean, for me, it was always Georgia. I thought Athens was a special place, you know, getting to see the crowds that they get there and being able to kind of just see the atmosphere of everybody caring about each other. You know, it was cool looking at other teams. You know, the Brian brothers had the cool Reebok shoes, you know, the UCLA guy with the different hair. But at the end of the day, it was always the dogs. It was always Georgia. So, I was really lucky when I got to be a part of that team and I got to kind of wear the G that, you know, through my junior years, I was always wearing it, you know, but I guess it was a little bit different when you're actually, you know, on the team and representing. I think it's a different feeling. Yeah. So, if you didn't go into tennis, what else would you be doing? Like, you know, I didn't, you know, I'm obviously coaching now, but I didn't go right into coaching. I went to work into pharmaceuticals like marketing, sales, you know, finance. It's always, I always find it interesting to say if I wasn't coaching, I got my degree, I would be doing this. Yeah. You know, if I was a little bit more prone, I think to just loving schoolwork and loving studying, you know, everybody's always told me that I would make a pretty good lawyer just because I'm a bit of a contrarian. I like to argue. I like to challenge everybody that's kind of around me. So, I'm always looking for a good argument. So, I'll go with that. Everybody's always told me, you know, maybe you should have been a lawyer. You argue a Hey, lot. well, I'm sure, I'm sure your tennis parents, right? The parents of the academy probably don't like that one, right? They like to be in control. They have the last say and be contrarian. A lot of the time they do. A lot of the time they do. Yeah. So, you're sort of like stepping out, right? Out of the shadow and you're now on the west coast out there in the with Irvine area tier one performance and quite honestly, making your own name. I know you've had opportunity to coach Alex Mickelson as well as, you know, Lerner, Tan who are both like doing real well, both like main draw this year at US Open. Tell me about the process of moving way west. Yeah. And starting your own thing. Well, you know, it kind of started with, you know, I took that leap and I moved away from home for, you know, the first time because obviously being born and raised and going to school at UGA. I took my first chance and I went to Boise State and I worked under Greg Patton for a year who I'd heard great things about and, you know, all were true. He's a great guy. I thought it was a fantastic experience. So, I did that for a year and then over the summer, the UGA swim coach's son that I kind of grew up with, he was in Newport and so I kind of came to visit and then, you know, all of a sudden the opportunity to be coaching out here, you know, came about and, you know, I did my due diligence a little bit. You know, I looked at the old tennis recruiting pages and, you know, I'm looking at all the talent over the last like 20 years and, you know, statistically, you look at the list and you're like, okay, you know, if I'm in this area and I give myself, you know, the right opportunities and I, you know, learn how to coach properly, you know, I feel like I've had some pretty good experience from some good mentors. You know, then I kind of thought, you know, okay, maybe I can kind of control my own destiny out here a little bit and, you know, over time, it's taken a lot but, you know, over time, I feel like I did get myself some pretty decent opportunities. So, when you first laid eyes on Mickelson, how old was he? He was 12. He was coming out to some point place. It was the first place I kind of rented courts. It was this old rundown beat up club but beautiful. There were some trees there. Nobody wanted it. The courts were kind of run down and everyone's like, oh no, nothing there and I was like, I'll take it. So, you know, it gave me space. It gave me courts. It gave me the ability to kind of try and market. I made things cheap so I could get a lot of kids out there and try and get a competitive environment going and luckily, you know, had a good bit of talent out there where, you know, the kids kind of attracted the kids and I was this young coach, 23, 24 and, you know, over time, you know, people started to kind of gain trust and realize, you know, this guy isn't that bad. So, you know, over time, it kind of, you know, worked in my favor and, you know, everything kind of worked out. I eventually switched clubs to a nicer one and, you know, you move up. You earn your stripes. Now, when you saw him, did you initially see, you know, like super talent because he won our ADK this summer and, you know, it was full of Steve Johnson, Su -Woo Kwong. It was Ethan Quinn. It was other names, right? Kanee Shakuri. And Alex, okay, you know, he got the USTA wildcard. He's a young kid. You know what I mean? Like, sort of under the radar and then he wins the whole tournament in finals Newport on the grass like a week later. So, did you see it right away? Was he like a typical kind of 12 -year -old throwing his racket, having tantrums? What was he like at 12? Alex has always turned on tantrums. But, you know, when he was 12, he was good. But, you know, I'll be honest, there were a handful of kids out there that, you know, Kyle Kang, who's had a lot of success. I saw him. Sebastian Goresney, who Alex won doubles with. There were a handful of others and, I mean, Alex, they were, he was good. If I thought that he would be this good, you know, at this point, I think I'd I don't think I saw that. But, you know, you definitely see that this kid's capable of playing at a pretty good level while he's young. And then, you know, as the years kind of go and then as you sort of see him and his personality kind of develop, you kind of recognize, you know, this, you know, this isn't too normal of a 16, 17, 18 -year -old kid. And then, you know, sure enough, eventually the results followed, which was pretty fun to watch. Yeah, I mean, I felt it was interesting because he was here with like his friend. Yeah. You know, not even like a coach, trainer, physio, nothing. Like him and his homeboy. Yeah. He didn't look like he played tennis. You know what I mean? So, yeah, it was like, it was interesting to show up without, you know, completing against guys who are here with like coaching that they're paying six -figure salaries and who are scouting, right? And for him to kind of move through the draw, honestly, I mean, you know, maybe he split sets once. Yeah. It was actually really interesting. He's an extremely competitive kid. And so, you know, throughout the last few years kind of as we've traveled to some events and as he's gone to some like by himself, you know, the whole understanding is, okay, how well do you really understand, you know, your day -to -day process? How well are you able to, you know, nowadays, you know, with challengers, everything you can stream, you can watch. So, you know, both myself and, you know, Jay, the other coach that's here and helping him out, you know, we watch, we communicate. But, you know, at the end of the day, you know, it was one of those big decisions, okay, are you going to go to college or are you going to go pro? And he's kind of weighing those two things. And it's, you know, if you really think you want to be a pro, show me. And so it's one of those things, luckily, when he's young, you know, you have the, you know, it's kind of freedom. If he loses some matches, okay, you're young. If, you know, you win some matches, okay, great. You're young. So it's one of those things where, you know, we really kind of wanted to see, you know, what he's able to do sort of on his own. How well can he manage emotionally? How well can he, you know, create some game plans and stick to his day -to -day routines? And he, I would say he passed. And did he officially turn pro? He officially turned pro, yeah. Yeah. So I know UGA was going to be where he was going. I know he was undecided this summer, but UGA was going to, was there a little bit of an inside man kind of happening here, right? You know, I mean, you know, I think that, you know, I'll definitely say, I think he had some exposure to hearing about, you know, some Georgia greatness. I think that for sure. But, you know, I'll say it was his decision. Ultimately, I tried to not put too much pressure or expectation on where he was going to go. You know, I think Georgia has a lot to offer. So I think, you gone that route, I think it would be, you know, I don't think we can really fail if, you know, you're going and you're trying to be a tennis player and that's a place you choose. I think it's a pretty good place. Now tell us about Lerner Tan. I'll admit as a player that I hadn't had the opportunity to watch too much. I had not watched him in the challenges at all. But was he also sort of in the program at a young age or did he just sort of come later on? My partner actually, you know, kind of helped him when he was young because Levitt Jay used to be incorporated at Carson, which was kind of where Lerner kind of had his, you know, beginnings. He was a little bit more, I guess I'll say, you know, his talent was Federation spotted, I guess you could say as to where Alex was kind of, you know, the guy on the outside a little figuring his own way. Lerner was kind of the guy that everybody kind of thought was, you know, the guy. Right. And so, you know, it's been fun kind of watching him, you know, see his transition, you know, from juniors to now, you know, kind of becoming, you know, the top of juniors, you know, winning Kalamazoo the last two years and his transition. It's been fun to see. So, you know, I've seen a lot of him out of the last, you know, two and a half to three years. So it's been, it's definitely been a different transition. I feel like, you know, it's a little bit fire and ice there. You know, Alex is the fiery one screaming a good bit and Lerner is the silent killer. So it's, they're definitely different, which I think, you know, is pretty refreshing and it's kind of cool to see them both have success in their own accord. So tell us about Tier 1 then. So how many courts, obviously you grew up, I mean, like, you know, I started in the park years ago, right? In Chicago Park, right? And now I got 27 courts. But tell us about Tier 1 performance now. Where are you? How many courts do you now have? How many kids are you serving? Yeah, we're in Newport Beach right now, which is great. Weather's nice. We have, right now, we're running our program out of only five ports. It's not that big. You know, we take a lot of pride in just kind of being individually, you know, development based. I feel like if you're in our program, you're going to have, you know, a good bit of time from the coaches. You're probably going to have a chance to hit with some of the top guys. We try to be really selective with who we kind of have. Just because in Southern California, it's really difficult to, you know, get your hands on a ton of courts. There's so many people in tennis. There's only a few clubs now. You know, pickleball, even at our club right now, you know, pickleball is booming. You know, so many people are playing. It's keeping clubs alive, which, you know, I think is nice. But at the same time, I would love to see, you know, a lot of tennis courts and tennis opportunity. But, you know, it is what it is. Yeah, man, pickleball is definitely taking over. You see clubs getting rid of one court, two courts, and they think that it's not that big of an impact. But I mean, two courts really makes a difference in terms of being able to spread kids out, get them more time, get more balls and more balls at the time. But it's, you know, I think in tennis, if we want to fight them off, we've got to market better and we've got to grow, right? They're in this growth sort of stage and we're sort of stagnant, you know, so it's not like we're not leaving the club with a lot of choices other than to diversify, you know what I mean? Right. Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure. So, let me ask you that. So, you've obviously had two kids that are going on. What do you tell that next parent, whose kid's 14, right, may get to see learner Alex come to the academy and number one, they want to homeschool, right, or ask you whether or not they should homeschool or B, you know, whether or not they should choose to go to college or, you know, turn pro. How are you advising parents? Because I get the question all the time. Should we homeschool, right? Should we do whatever? And I always, you know, the answer is always, it depends. Yeah. But what would be your answer in terms of homeschooling to train? Well, look, I definitely think that if your primary goal is to be a tennis player and I think, you know, if you're an athlete and that's kind of what you want to do, I think there's a lot of benefit in homeschooling just because, you know, it enables you to travel. You know, if I get to the ITF level, you know, I need to be able to travel. Those tournaments start on Monday and they go through Friday. So, you know, if I'm in a regular school, if I'm a high school kid, you know, that's a pretty difficult life for me to be able to justify or to, you know, be able to get my excused absences and stuff like that. You know, we're definitely big. You know, if you show me a 14 and under kid and I feel like I had pretty good experience in this just because I saw a lot of kids from the age of 12 to 14, you know, I got to see an entire kind of generation out of SoCal and a lot of them were pretty good. You know, the one thing I think, you know, when you're 12, 13, 14 years old, I think the primary thing kind of for level, obviously it matters how you're doing it, but I think the primary thing is the repetition. You know, I saw a ton of kids where they had a bunch of practices and I knew that that kid probably, you know, had 30%, 40 % more time than some of the other kids. And, you know, sure enough, that kid is more competent at keeping the ball in play. You know, they're able, you know, they've just seen and touched more balls. So, you know, they're going to make more balls. I think it's a balance. I think it really depends on the parents. I think it really depends on the kid. And I think it depends on the environment that they'll be in if they are going to be homeschooled. You know, I will say that, you know, we've had a handful of kids kind of switch from high school to homeschooled and they're in our program. But I feel like there's still strong social aspects in our program. You know, all the boys are tight. They compete a lot. They, you know, I feel like they get their social, you know, they go to lunch. And just kind of our standards are really high. I think this past year we had five kids that graduated that all went to IVs. So, you know, it's totally possible whether you're homeschooled or whether you're in school, I think, to, you know, kind of pursue academic excellence. I think, you know, just because you're doing one thing and not the other, I don't think that that necessarily, you know, takes that away from you. I think tennis can open a ton of doors. And I think I kind of, you know, we've kind of seen that in the last few years. I've seen a lot more tennis kids choosing IV ever since 2020, I feel. I feel like the IVs have been pretty hot, especially for some blue chip players, which I think, you know, if you look prior to 2020, I think the percentages took a pretty drastic jump, which is interesting to see. Yeah, you know, it's funny, you know, in some markets you see people playing for the scholarship and in some other markets you see them playing for entrance, right, into the Princeton, the Harvards. And one of the myths, like, I think if you think about basketball or football, right, the better basketball football players are obviously choosing the SEC, right, Pac -12, whatever that is. But in tennis, you know, I think that, you know, your academics and your tennis have to be, like, at the top scale to go, just because you're not like a bad tennis player if you go to Harvard, you know what I mean? Like, the kid that goes to Harvard or makes the team probably could have gone to PCU, right, or Florida or whatever, you know what I mean? And so it is interesting to see the number of people who say, yes, I've spent 30 grand on tennis for the past eight years and I'm still willing to pay for college, right, because I got into Princeton, Harvard, Yale, etc. But I think it's a big myth where, you know, the United States is so basketball focused, we see Harvard basketball as, like, okay, that's everyone that didn't get chosen by the Illinois, the Wisconsin, the Michigan. And it's not the same, you know what I mean? Yeah, it's different for sure. So when you think about, like, the Ivies, right, you see a lot of kids go to East Coast and you think about, you know, COVID obviously changed something with the home school, you know, sort of situation. People who never considered that it was possible were like, okay, well, we've been living at home for a year and a half and doing online studies, it's not that bad, you know, they're more focused with their time. Did you see more people from families who you thought would not have done it try it post COVID? Yeah, definitely. I think the really popular thing that a lot of people are doing now is kind of a hybrid schedule, which I actually really like a lot. At least in California, I don't know if the schooling system is different everywhere else. I know it was different where I was from. But a lot of these kids, you know, they'll go to school from 8 to 1130 or 8 to 12. And, you know, they have their three hours where, you know, I don't know how they stagger their classes and stuff like that. But I know that pretty much every kid at every school in SoCal is at least able to do this if they so choose. And so they're able to get released around 12 or something. And, you know, they're able to be at afternoon practice and get a full block in. You know, for me, that still enables you to get the hours you need on court and to be able to maintain some of that social. And, you know, if you become, you know, really, really good, I guess, okay, by junior year, maybe you could consider, okay, maybe I should take this a little bit more seriously, maybe I should go full time homeschool. Or, you know, a lot of these kids are in a place where it's, you know, I'm comfortable with my tennis, I like where it's at, I feel like it'll give me opportunity in college. My grades are great. And, you know, maybe that person's a little more academically inclined. And, you know, they want to have a career and they feel like tennis is that great stepping stone. Which I think is a really cool thing about our sport is it just opens a tremendous amount of doors. I feel like if you figure out how to develop and be a good tennis player and how to compete well in tennis, you can you can apply that to almost everything in life. Yeah. So you talk about opening doors, right? When Alex or Lerner were sort of deciding whether to walk through door number one, which is college, or door number two, which is which is obviously turning pro. Right. How did you advise them? You know what I mean? If I say, hey, you know what? Take a couple wildcards. If you went around or two, maybe you go to college. If you win a tournament, maybe you stay out there. If an agency locks you into a deal, right? Then, you know, they normally know what good looks like and they normally have like the ear of the Nike, the Adidas, right? Then you turn pro. What was your advice in terms of if and when, right? Yeah. For those who ask. Well, they were both in different places. I'm gonna start with Lerner cuz he's younger. He actually, you know, did a semester in college. You know, Lerner finished high school, I think, when he was sixteen, sixteen and a half. And so, obviously, your eligibility clock starts, you know, six months after you finish your high school. So, for him, it was, you know, he was so young, he didn't really have much pro experience at that time. You know, he did great things in juniors. You know, he won Kalamazoo. He got his wild card into the men's that year and then, you know, he played a little bit of pro kind of and then, you know, that that January, he went in and and did a semester at USC which I think was a good experience for him socially. He had some eligibility problems which, you know, only let him play about five, six matches toward the end of the year which was kind of disappointing and then, you know, he won Kalamazoo again and so, you know, that was the second trip there and then, you know, by then, he had a little bit more exposure with, you know, agencies and brands and kind of, you know, the stuff that you'd like to see that'll actually give you the financial security to kind of, you know, chase your dream and pass up, you know, the the education, I guess, for the time being. So, you know, I felt like that was really the security was a big was a big thing for him. You know, prior to winning Kalamazoo for the second time, you know, he still had Junior Grand Slams to play. He wasn't playing men's events. So, for him being that age, you know, it was, well, you know, I'm I'm not in a massive rush so why not get a semester in and I think he had a great time. He really liked it. I mean, he he speaks pretty positively about the dual matches. He actually follows college tennis now a little bit more. You know, he will talk about some dual matches which I think is pretty cool and you know, I think it gave him some confidence getting to play for university, getting to represent, you know, seeing that university promotes you. I think there's a lot of benefits there and now, you know, he's got an alumni base. You know, people talk about all, you know, he's a USC Trojan and stuff like that. You know, you see it at all different tournaments. You know, guys are wearing a USC hat and, you know, hey, learner, da da da and you know, I think that that's pretty cool to be a part of, you know, a big family of people who are proud that, you know, they can say they played in the same place and then Alex. Alex was, you know, he was a little old for his grade and he was one that he committed and, you know, the whole time him and learner kind of, you know, talking and, you know, about going pro and da da da da. You know, obviously, it was their dream. You know, I just kept telling Alex, you know, I don't want to hear it. I don't want to hear it until, you know, it's a real problem and so, you know, he gets to 400 in the world and, you know, it's what you do. You get to 400. You know, it's good but at the end of the day, you know, you're not, your life's not changing because you're 400 in the world. You know, so he's 400 in the world and he's, you know, saying stuff to me and I'm like, I could not care less you're going to college and then it was, you know, this was probably in January, February, you know, he starts to kind of do a little bit better and I think at that point, I recognized that he was better than a lot of the guys kind of at the challenger level. You know, just from my perspective, I was seeing kind of what it was, what it was to be 300, what it was to be 200 and I think at that point, like February, March, I fully knew that he was good enough to be there and to be winning those matches but at the same time, you know, having financial security, having set, you know, all of those factors that kind of go into whether I'm going to pass up my education and go pro. You know, it's a big decision and so I remember we were putting it off. I just said, you know, nothing till US Open. I was like, we're not, we're not talking about college till US Open. I said, you know, when we get to US Open, you finish US Open, you have that exposure, you know, we see what happens in those two weeks and then, you know, then we'll kind of make a decision but until then, like, don't even think about it. Don't talk about it. Don't care. You're going to school and I think that mentality really helped him kind of just play free. He was, you know, I'm not playing to go pro. I'm trying to do my job in school, finish my high school. I'm going to tournaments, playing great, just trying to compete and, you know, lucky for him, you know, well, I guess it's not lucky at all. That kid worked his absolute tail off but, you know, he had that success in Chicago at your club and then, you know, he made that little Newport run and I think by then, that was his third or fourth former top 10 win and, you know, he won his challenger. He final the challenger. He'd semied another one. He had kind of shown and, you know, some people have gotten attention and they started believing in him and so then, you know, that's when that big decision kind of came but I feel like for him, he really established himself, improved himself amongst pros which I think is an interesting thing because a lot of the time when you see these juniors kind of go pro sub 18, a lot of the time, it's because they had tremendous junior success which then made them, you know, they had grand slam success and stuff like that but Alex didn't have any of that. You know, Alex was kind of the late bloomer that, you know, in the last year when he was already 18 and aged out of ITF, the kid really just took it to a new level and, you know, I think he really showed that he's kind of ready for what the tour has to offer.

Fresh update on "top 10" discussed on The Crossover NBA Show with Chris Mannix

"I was in Orlando this past weekend for some boxing stuff, so I consumed a lot of Magic content while I was down there. Like literal Magic or Orlando Magic basketball? I mean, I went to Magic Kingdom. There you go. Okay. But like Orlando Magic, it was for work. It was for work. The more I read about Orlando and study Orlando, and I was just consuming game notes too while I was down there, I kind of have a feeling they're going to have a sneaky good year. Somebody asked me about this for a mailbag question that I posted on Tuesday on SI.com, but like who could be the Sacramento Kings of this year, the team that comes out of nowhere and just does things that nobody expects? Orlando kind of fits that mold. They're not Sacramento because Sacramento had some very proven commodities there. De'Aaron Fox was a proven commodity. De'Aaron Fox was a proven commodity. You don't really have many, if any, proven commodities in Orlando. What you do have is some ridiculous young talent. Like Paolo Benchiro, terrifying offensive potential. Franz Wagner, a really good player. I was looking at some of the numbers. Franz Wagner ranked the top 10 in fourth quarter scoring last year. Markelle Fultz, never going to be the number one pick, but second half of the season, the average is like 16 and 5 or 16 and 6. It was pretty good numbers. You've got two first round picks that they're going to be working into the rotation, Anthony Black and Jett Howard. You've got some ex-lottery slash high first round picks in Cole Anthony and Jalen Suggs. There's a lot of young talent on this roster. It could be good, yeah. Look, this was a team that started 5 and 20 last year. They played about 500 basketball from December on. If they're healthy, throw Gary Harrison that mix as well, he's a good 3 and D player. If they're healthy, could they be a 500 team this year or better? You have to think organic improvements alone could push them above 500. Beyond the top 3 or 4 in the Eastern Conference, nobody else is a sure thing in the back half of it. I keep my eye on Orlando this year. I think Orlando with Jamal Mosley, who I think is a very, very good head coach, you've got the pieces there where if you see organic growth and good health, you could have a team that's competing for a 4 or 5 spot in the Eastern Conference. I really believe that's a team that could surprise a lot of people. I love this idea. I love this pick. Even though for years I've wanted to see Gary Harrison play for a contender again, I really like this Magic team. There were games, like you mentioned they started off slow, but I remember watching the Magic play the Warriors early last season. They needed buckets in the last two minutes of the game and they were already going to Boncaro against Draymond Green. That was awesome. He didn't win that matchup certainly every time, but the scoring potential is there. I think they're going to be a really interesting team. I'm interested to see what happens with Jalen Suggs. I do think he's become kind of a forgotten guy here with how good Wagner and Boncaro have been. But Suggs came in with the same amount of hype as his contemporaries in his draft class. Look at some of the signs there too. Last year in games decided by 5 points or less, they were 9 and 13. I told you I was just gobbling game notes when I was down there. They're a middle of the pack defensive team, which is not bad for a team that young. They're the 4th youngest team in the NBA. Middle of the pack defensive team. In games they actually defended by holding opponents under 100 points, they're 8-0. If they continue on that track where they're improving defensively, which I think they can, can they get in the top 10? Might be a stretch, but if they can get 11th, 12th in defensive efficiency? I think they were 26th in offensive efficiency. They're going to get better in that aspect with growth and health. I just think they're going to be surprising. They're going to have some more connectivity, they're going to play well. I saw some people out there suggesting Orlando should be a Damian Lillard trade target, or the Magic trade for Damian Lillard. I wouldn't do it because I think you could gouge for assets, but point guard with respect to Fultz is probably their greatest weakness at the moment. Plug Damian Lillard into that lineup with Harris beside him, Harris a very good defensive player. You've got Wagner, you've got Banchero, I'm forgetting somebody off the top of my head. Wendell Carter, who was a good rebounder. You're definitely a playoff team with that group, and who knows? If Lillard was a little bit younger and I was Orlando, I would go all in on something like that. But because he's 33, I wouldn't do it. It just goes to show how good I think Orlando can be. I just think they've got enormous potential to surprise the team. They made a 12-win improvement last year. They were a 22-win team the year before, they went to 34 this year. Could they get into the mid-40s this season? Yeah, I think they could. If they can stay healthy, that's a mid-40 win team. I'm so curious to see how Jamal Mosley handles. They've got more guards than I've ever seen on any team's roster. To me, I kept thinking, okay, they're going to make a deal here, they're going to do this. I think they've drafted four guards in the first round over the last two years, so it's just an interesting composition of guys. And then when you factor in that their two best players are not guards, but forwards that handle the ball a ton, it's like, man, everybody on your team can handle the ball, but also, do you have to streamline that a little bit? But there's so much talent there. If you look back to not last year, but the year before, I don't know how they finished the season, but I know for at least half, if not two-thirds of the season, their starting five had one of the best plus-minuses in the league. And it was that their bench had such a horrible net rating. But you could tell that the talent was there. Franz Wagner was so much better. I watched him a lot. He was a guy that went to Michigan. Not at the same time I did, but like I did. So I watched Michigan. It was pretty much the only college basketball I watched all the time, or the only team I watched consistently. And I never thought he would be as good as he was as a rookie. I didn't know that he would be that good five years down the line, let alone as a rookie, and then he continued to get better last year. They've got a lot of talent on that team. Gary Harris, it is really tempting to do that kind of small market, well, what are they going to do anyway sort of thing, where we just want to see these guys that are such good players go to a contender. But for all the guards they have on that team, and for all the talent they have, it makes sense to have a vet like him there to show these guys the way and to be a contributing member of that team. So they're very interesting, and I think that absolutely they could sneak into that conversation as kind of a back end. I'd be a little surprised if they were to climb up to four, but that would be the equivalent of what Sacramento essentially did last year, of just kind of surprising all of us. I'd love to see them make the playoffs this year. I think that they're really talented, and I think that once they get there, they should be there for a while, because they've got so many young guys on this team. My biggest concern is the learning curve. Well, it's health, first of all. They've got some guys that have been injured a lot over the years. Fultz at the top of that list, Gary Harris has been an eye on the lineup.

A highlight from Bitcoin Has A New Super Whale! (2024 Bringing Explosive Gains)

"Good morning, everybody! It's time to discover crypto. It is September 25th. It's 1133 A .M. Eastern Standard Time. It took us a few minutes to get ready today, Tim. Was it your fault? Probably, yes. It's probably his fault. We got Drew on the ones and twos. And, Tim, how are you doing today, Drew? Oh, I'm doing great. Couldn't be better, honestly. Alright, me and Drew were talking. We might try to get that MRV video out today. Folks, I might also put out my cold plunge footage. I got to upload that and everything. So, it's going to be a good, good show. Today, we're talking about MicroStrategy. Just bought more Bitcoin. We're talking about how much Bitcoin does Coinbase hold. It's a whole lot and it's a lot more than you thought. Also, we're talking about the Expiry on Friday, Tim. Yeah. Now, what are your thoughts on the Expiry? I mean, it's going to be a little... It's a lot larger than the last one. I think it's about 4X the amount of money that's in this week's. Yeah, it's a very large one and it's going to tell us a lot. There's two things I really take away from it. First of all, it kind of gives us a good indication of what price is going to do this week. And then we got to wait to see what happens on Friday, but we'll talk about that level later, I think. If we don't get to that level, we could see that move below $25 ,000 we've been talking about for a while. And also, we're going to talk about Chainlink, everybody, and some fake Aptos floating around. So, that's going to be a pretty fun story there. Alright, let's refresh. Make sure we got the freshest crypto pricing available. And it looks like the market cap is down, folks. We are down 0 .8%. We're coming in at $1 .08 trillion, 24 -hour volume, $32 billion. And Bitcoin dominance coming in at $47 .2. Gas is almost triple what it was Friday when we were doing this. It was 29 Gwei today. It was 11 Friday afternoon. Bitcoin is bouncing a little bit on the hourly. Same for Ethereum. They're up 0 .5 and 0 .3. But down for the 24 hours, you see Bitcoin down 1 .4%. Any levels you're looking at, Tim? We got Mr. T .A. Tim here. For Bitcoin specifically or for anything? Yeah, for Bitcoin. So, again, we'll talk more about those levels. But there's something about that options expiry and that level being $26 ,500. I'm not expecting price to go too much away from that. I think there's even a point where in the week we could get a little over that, then come back down. This happens a lot when there's a big number for options expiry. Price doesn't get that far away from it because the traders want to keep it right there. But then watch right before the expiry happens. My suspicion, Deezy, is it's going to be below. It's going to be bad. And I think we might have a good little fall on Friday. And, well, depends where we're at because a lot of times it acts as a magnet. It wants to pull the price to $26 ,500. Right now, we're at $26 ,200. So I expected to end up getting pulled to that price like a magnet towards the end of the week there. We have Rice hanging out. Hey, what is going on, Rice? Rice in the chat. Hey, make sure you go follow. If you see him in the chat, go click on it. You see his channel. Make sure you're subbed if you're not already. We have ETH down 0 .6%. We have BNB down 0 .8%. XRP leading the losers of the top 10. It is down 2 .3%. And Cardano, in a weird way, besides Solana, performing pretty decently here. It is only down 0 .2%. Solana is actually up 0 .3 % while Ethereum is down 0 .6 % and Bitcoin down 1 .4%. But let's look at the top gainers here. Oh, I see a good juicy Chainlink pump. What is going on, Drew? Yeah. You're feeling good about it. I'm feeling good about it. I've been telling people to buy Chainlink. My 3 .2 should have been 4 .2, man. I'm missing out on that one Chainlink pump. I know. My heart goes out to everyone distracted by drama because Chainlink is crushing it. Yeah, yeah. Me, I'm focusing on crypto prices. I'm focusing on crypto news. And I'm focusing on bettering my situation as we get closer and closer to the halving and then beyond. I think the next 12 months after halving will look pretty good for Bitcoin. All right. Well, let's look at the top gainers. We have Aptos leading the way. Aptos is up 3 .7%. There were some counterfeit Aptos tokens. Is this, you know, maybe the team, the community pumping the token? That way, if you see, oh, a bunch of bad Aptos news, let me look into it. Oh, it's the best gainer of the day. Oh, it must not have been anything. Maybe there's a little element of that going on. Number two, though, we have Chainlink. Chainlink pumping up 3 .2%, up 8 .2 % for the week. Frac shares up 2 .9%, and ImmutableX is up 2 .2%. Was 3 .7 % just an hour ago. I actually have two of the top four coins here. I can't believe it. I'm assuming I'm going to have zero losers in the biggest losers of the day. Can I get any thoughts on SEI from JA? Get forward. Well, one, you got to get a Chevy or a Honda. That's your first problem. SEI, I don't really have any. We'll look at it as the top losers and the top gainers. All right. After that, though, we're seeing ImmutableX, then ThorChain, then Law Enforcement Officer token, then we have Bitcoin Cash up 1 .7%. But after that, it's going below 1 .5%. Really not seeing anything too crazy. Now we're going to the losers. We want to make sure your coin is not in the biggest losers of the day, and the best way to make that happen is to hit the like button. That's what I've heard. I don't know if it's true or not. Whoo! Radix is down, and it is down heavy, folks. It is down 11 .9%, and WeMix is up 65 % for the week, but it is down 8 % for the day. You can see it just cracking in the top 100. That's why we haven't really been used to seeing WeMix. It looks like it's just now getting in the top 100. Then we have Render, then we have Optimism, then we have EOS, then we have XRP. I have a small bag of XRP, but I have nothing in the top 5 there. Radix, have you been ever trying to trade? Radix get in and out. You always see it in the losers and gainers. No. So one of the problems with trading altcoins, especially when you're using TA, is some of those altcoins, they can move very quickly without TA helping them. So those ones, you definitely have to get in, be aware of what's happening with adoption, be aware of what's happening with stories. The charts still help, but the charts can't give you the complete picture. And I don't do a lot of digging on little altcoins like that. Yeah, Radix down 12%, but up 6 % for the day. So people got in a week ago. They're still looking good, even though they're down almost 12 % right now. Let's see. So what was that? The Super Chat coin there again. SEI. SEI. I don't know how to pronounce it. I always see it up there. Well, it's a newer coin, correct? Yeah, it's a newer coin. I mean, it's a new coin. It's going to be too soon to kind of give it any real data if we click. I just want to get that spike off the axis there. I mean, it looks like it's bouncing off that level. I mean, very, very limited TA. Looks like market buyers are buying it when it hits that level. So maybe they'll continue to buy it, but maybe they'll quit buying it. Maybe it falls through that support. Yeah, the charts. There technically actually is a little bit of bullishness about it going on. Definitely hitting in a place flashing oversold.

A highlight from 1242. Turning Your Pet Into A Social Media Influencer. Wise Words From An Expert.

"Celebrating the connection with our pets, this is Animal Radio, featuring your dream team, veterinarian, Dr. Debbie White and groomer, Joey Vellani. And here are your hosts, Hal Abrams and Judy Francis. If you're like Judy, you spend a lot of time online, social media, going through videos. You'll spend like an hour a day maybe just watching. I just get down a rabbit hole, you watch one and then another one pops up, oh, I got to see that. And it's like, oh, look at this one. And they're all animal or pet related. Is that mostly it? Yeah, I won't watch. I don't know if I'm not interested in the other ones. Yeah, sure. Sure. Yeah. So in your life, who would you say is the biggest social media influencer for you? What animal do you maybe even follow? You know what? I'm not a follower. In fact, no. And I like watching both cat and dog videos. So I don't really hone in on a certain animal and like follow that particular animal. I'm kind of like, I watch them all. Have you ever seen, I'm going to hold up a picture here. Have you ever seen this animal here? This is, this is Loki. I hadn't seen Loki. Again, I don't follow any certain animals if I happen to come across a video, but I don't, I don't, I, yeah. He's beautiful. Loki is, what kind of dog is Loki? He's like some kind of a Malamute wolf hybrid. Like a wolf. I'm not quite sure. He's a big dog. This particular picture that I'm holding up to the microphone is Loki and his guardian, Kelly. They're sitting in a hammock. You may have seen this picture. It's a picture that he just casually posted on his Instagram page. And then, uh, the people over at Bored Panda saw it, wanted to do an interview with him. Buzzfeed picked it up. Eventually he realized that his dog was becoming extremely popular online. And he decided after about a year after this picture went out to quit his job and focus on promoting his animal online to become a social media sensation. We're going to find out how he's doing on that and whether or not we should quit our jobs to become ladybugs. Yeah. Well, she has a Facebook page. It's not very popular. Maybe she needs to post more. Well, I just, you know, everybody go to her Facebook page and like her right now. So we're going to talk to this Kelly Lund coming up here. He's the guardian of Loki and we're going to find out what his secret is to becoming a viral sensation. Also on the show today. And in this hour, we're going to talk to Fiona Gilbert. Fiona, do you need to get that? I'm expecting a call from my pharmacist. Can we, can you just make sure? Cause I'm, I have to pick something up and I'm just waiting for them to call and say it's ready. So can you just check that? Thank you. Coming up this hour, Fiona Gilbert will be joining us. She has MS unfortunately, and she has a service dog to help her with her MS. What kind of dog is that there? It's a pit bull. It is a, it is a pit bull. Surprise, surprise. Well now how can that be? I mean a pit bull service dog? Is there such a thing as a pit bull service dog? Why not? Well, I guess not. Why not? I do know that Delta or American Airlines just banned service animals that happened to be pit bulls. I do know that in Denver it is illegal to have a pit bull. That's just wrong. That is wrong. I bet Fiona has a bone to pick with Delta Airlines. I'm guessing that. Or her dog does. Okay, we're going to find out about her service dog, her pit bull coming up here on Animal Radio. Lori, what are you working on for this hour? You were just a minute ago Hal talking about social media and Loki and everything. Well, I have for you a new list from Forbes. They did, I love this word influencers because I had never really heard of it before. I just thought, you're famous on social media. If you're famous on social media, you're an influencer. So Forbes had this edition where they had the top 10 people influencers, the top 10 chef influencers and on and on with everything. And they did a list on pets. So pets on social media. So I will tell you the most famous pets or influencers on social media. When Forbes is involved, there must be money involved. Of course. Okay. That list on the way. First year calls. Let's go to Wanda. Hi Wanda. Hi. How are you doing? Very good. I have the whole dream team here to answer your questions. What's going on with your pets? Okay. I have Dachshund miniature pincher mix. She's having skin problems. I switched vets like four times and they always said that it's yeast, airborne yeast. And they give her shots and she goes okay for two weeks. But then they give her prednisone. That makes her eat a lot. She still eating and she still have the yeast and she still have the smell. Okay. Yeah. I don't know what to do. So has she had any money in the beds? Okay. And have we used any medicine that specifically geared towards the yeast, either by a pill form or by a shampoo or a topical form? Well, they give me Mariset. Okay. And I have to bathe her every other day, but sometimes I can tell you the truth. I don't have time and it's cold and she gets very cold. I'll give her a bath every other day. Okay. And is that it or are they using any pills for that other than the prednisone? No. They give me Apoquel. Apoquel, she still eating and then the doctor say I will then give her Benadryl. Okay. So I'm going to kind of make some interpretations of what you've said and what I think may be the direction that your veterinarian is going here. So if your pet has yeast on the skin, the important thing to know about that is that yeast is generally not the primary problem. It's a secondary problem. So there's usually something else that's making that skin barrier unhealthy where the yeast can really grow and proliferate. So if they're using things like prednisone and Apoquel, it sounds like they're suspicious that she has an underlying allergy. So those medicines are geared towards the allergy. But the sad thing is if we use that and don't address infection and treat it with the medications for those conditions, we're really not going to get anywhere. So we're going to think that, you know, the medicine isn't working for allergies when we're really just not treating a bacterial infection or say a yeast infection that could be present. So what my consideration, and I'd ask you to talk to your veterinarian if this seems fair and like a direction that they would agree with, is that if we have yeast in the skin and it's chronic, especially if it creates some of the different symptoms I see with yeast, and I should mention those, yeast in the skin will often cause a really stinky foot odor. It smells like old man foot. I have to wash my bed and everything every day. Yeah. So it's a real strong smell. The dogs will often have kind of a greasy feel to them in those areas. And in some cases when it's present for chronic long -term periods of time, we'll actually get a thickening of the skin and it'll become kind of darkly pigmented and what almost I describe as elephantinized. So it kind of becomes like elephant skin. She had that in her tail, but then I gave her and gave and went away. Okay. So yeah, so that definitely, if those kinds of things are going on, then yeast is very suspicious. We usually confirm that by taking a sample from the skin and looking and you know, yeast show up pretty easy on an impression smear. So the thing I would ask you to talk to your veterinarian about is, can we use something systemic for her, for this yeast? And that might mean a couple different possible medicines, but they basically all fall under the category of an antifungal medicine, such as ketoconazole or itraconazole, or even one called terbenafene. Any of those are used with yeast infections, whether it be in the ears or say in the skin. So that would be something, and it does take a long period of time. We might get some improvement after maybe a week or two, but many times this is something that we have to treat for many weeks to months. So that would be something where, you know, I would definitely talk to them about that. The other thing is, you know, definitely the maliceb that you're using is certainly an appropriate one if we're suspicious of yeast, but there can be even some other things that we can use topically as well, as far as different types of mousses or sprays that we can use that contain either say chlorhexidine, which is a type of an antiseptic, or miconazole, which is an anti -yeast topical. So those can be things that we can add into the regimen. But I think the good thing in your situation is there is some things that I can suggest for you to try, and the big thing is sticking with it, because it really does take, I had just like a bald, kind of darkly skinned, very little hair. It only had hair on the tip of its tail and around its head, and it took four months of yeast therapy that we treated, and it finally got most of its hair back. It never did get all of it back, because it was so scarred, but it can really be very rewarding. You just kind of have to trek through it. So yeah, with her, she's black. When people see her and they tell me, why are you taking it? Because her top hair of her body is black, shiny, so pretty. It's just under the legs, on her stomach, at her four paws, and under the tail. You know, they don't have it, she doesn't have it anyplace else. And I bathe her, I bathe her, she's my baby. Yeah, well, and yeast is horribly itchy. Any human knows that. So it's a miserable thing. So definitely, and even some other kind of anti -itch remedies, you know, that we can use. I am using a lot of the canine atopic dermatitis immunoglobulin called CADI, and that helps a lot just to kind of stop the itch, to give pets relief while we're dealing with all the other things. Yes, I don't want to bite. I know that the steroids, they're going to hurt her a long time. And I say, what I'm giving to her is she's not going to be improving. That's why I hear you every morning. And I say on Sundays, and I say, I'm going to call because maybe I can go to the vet with some knowledge and say, hey, give me the yeast infection medication, take her away from the prednisone. Absolutely. And that makes it harder. The prednisone definitely makes it harder for her to fight these infections. So if we use it sparingly, just to kind of help relieve it, and then yeah, get her off that. I agree totally. So she needs to go to the vet and ask for something systematic. Is that right? Systemic. Systemic. A systemic and a yeast medicine. Yes, a yeast medicine. I will do that. Hopefully we can get her some good help and I wish you guys the best. Let us know how things turn out and hopefully we'll get her feeling and looking better and smelling better too. Thanks Wanda. A highlight from Interest Rate Hikes FINISHED?! (Crypto War NOT Over)

"Welcome to Discover Crypto! It is September 20th. It's 11 .30am. How are we all doing? We got Drew and AJ on the ones and twos today, folks. We're going to talk about the Fed. We're going to talk about what are they going to be saying with the interest rate hikes. And also we're going to be talking about Bitcoin and other cryptos. AJ, how are you doing today? I'm doing great, man. Another day in the life. Let's get it. Drew, how are you doing? Oh, just great. You know, can't complain. Well, you can. You can. You complain when you get home. You'd like, you know, just really vent to your two -year -old. Yeah, that's where I do it. Deezy, did you see the tweet that went out yesterday about the show I'm doing with from George from Cryptos R Us? What? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, he's with Blockchain Boy and Neutron. Joshua Jay. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. So we're all like, it's for crew, like, plus, you know, and basically we're all doing something different. I believe, like, Josh is doing like a news kind of show and Blockchain Boys. I'm not really sure what Blockchain Boys doing, but I know the videos are going to start coming out here pretty soon. We're still like brainstorming my concept, but I have a really good, like, rough idea of what I'm doing. But it's going to be really interesting to see how, like, where this goes. And I'm just fun to excited to do something different, you know? And I'm excited. We got Frankie Candles doing the charts today. I see Frankie getting ready in his neon square. He's in his, like, little neon area. I don't know if, oh, he can hear me. He's showing some recognition and anticipation of what Deezy is going to say next. Yeah, we saw the Donald Trump Jr. tweets. It looks like he got hacked. Also, Rob, you're popping it. Hey, we're going to see you back. Can't wait till you come back. All right, let's just get right into crypto. Marc Kepson's Drew is done. Am I too tall? Am I too tall? Too tall for the camera? Look, I got to stand. I got to do these shows a lot, you know? I take the shoes off. So I shrink, you know? They come in. I'm like 6 '11", and I take the shoes off. Then I drop back down to 6 '3". I got the Tom Cruise lifts. All right, Bitcoin is falling a little bit, folks. We were in the green this morning when I first woke up. Now we are down 0 .6%, and Ethereum is down 1 .3%. But XRP looks pretty good. XRP is up. It is up 0 .8 % on the day so far. Meanwhile, Cardano, I woke up this morning. It was up, but now it's down. It is down 0 .7%. Dogecoin down 1 .3%. TonCoin finally cooling off a little bit for the week here. It is down 1 .2%. Litecoin has taken a little bit of a beating, folks. Litecoin is down 5%. We talked about Litecoin a little bit yesterday on ATB. I highly recommend you check that out after this stream. All right, let's look at the top gainers. Then we're going to look at the top losers. You know, I have a streak of keeping my coins in the losers, but not today, folks. I'm feeling good. In fact, maybe I'll have a coin in the top 10. Who knows? All right, here we have Caspa leading the way. Caspa is just on fire, folks. The people who bought Caspa at $0 .01, $0 .02, looking good. Just put in a higher high too. You got past that last one, yep. All right, we are now above a nickel, and it looks like maybe price discovery mode for a Caspa. XDC is up 4 .3%. Maker is up. Radix is up. Aave is up. I have a coin in the ties. A little Solana. I think maybe I have some Arbitrum. Maybe. I'm not even sure I have to check. Then we have, you know, XRP is up 0 .8%. We got gold. Gold's moving to the upside. The graph moving to the upside, even though Bitcoin and ETH are down. Okay, so it's not all blood in the streets, but hopefully, it's not going to be blood in Deasy's wallet, guys. And again, I promise you, I do not check this ahead of time. I kind of like being surprised. I like discovering it with you. So let's discover cryptos, Deasy's coins in here. I'm looking good today. All right, I don't know how long the streak has been continuing. I don't know when's the last. I think I last held Litecoin in 2021. Never had Thor, Phrax, eCash, or I know Frankie likes to trade Adam. I like to trade Eve. So maybe we'll talk to him about the Adam is falling 4 % here. Litecoin down 5%. Thor chained down 5%. Any of these coins, you know, peak it. Well, if you go at it, I do have two in the top 10. I got two in the top 10. Just, you know, just to make it feel good. But any of these screaming at you here? Yeah, Thor, Litecoin, Phrax. Not surprised really to see. I mean, everything kind of came up yesterday. I'm still kind of sticking to the theory that the pump we're seeing could possibly be a bull trap. I think, you know, when we get into the FOMC news, the pauses that is likely coming is going to be bullish for the sentiment. I'm just still like kind of macro worried based off of the stock market sharks. Actually, the Algorand, you know, down 2 .8%. That one's kind of obviously yelling at me a little bit. I have a theory coming up, but I'm not going to say it right now. But I'm making a video about it, about Algorand. So stay tuned for that. OK, so you're going to create more? I'm going to create more. I create more crypto content every day and some of it's about Algorand. But I like how it's a period. Create more. No exclamation point. Just create. It's more like create more. Oh, OK. Great. More. Great. Great. Yeah. All right. Well, we're going to create some stories here about the feds. What are they doing? I don't know if we've ever had an article from this news organization. ABC. Shout out to Mickey Mouse and the Disney crew here. Fed to decide on a rate hike. Testing optimism about a soft landing as inflation rises again. Upon announcing the Fed Reserve's latest rate hike decision in July, Jerome Powell spoke out a lectern in Washington, DC for a half hour before he dropped a bombshell. The Central Bank staff has abandoned its forecast of a recession. Staff at the Fed, in other words, now expect the Central Bank to achieve a soft landing, an outcome in which the US brings down inflation while avoiding a downturn. Inflation has ticked up for two consecutive months, reversing some of the progress made in the effort to bring price increases down to normal levels. Meanwhile, oil prices have soared, threatening to push inflation even higher. Well, they got like moving ads. Whoa, whoa, what's going on here? Calm down, ABC. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg expect the Fed to leave its benchmark interest rate unchanged, affording policymakers time to weigh their next move as a rapid series of previous rate hikes take full effect. I was looking at Caleb Franzen's tweets. We're at 99 % on the prediction market unchanged today, right? Have you been looking at the, when is the next one? Is it November? I can pull the calendar. I'm pretty sure it's the end of October. I think it's like maybe on Halloween. Let me double check. Oh, on Halloween is going to be spooky. Okay, Drew, are you going to give out candy this Halloween? Absolutely. You know, but actually I'll be doing candied apples. Okay, I'm going to be giving out pamphlets on inflation to children. Yeah, you know, you could have got Reese's pieces, but blame Jerome Powell. You can take advantage of the time and the season to teach your children about tax. Tax them. Like attacking kids for their pillowcases of candy? Taxing them heavily. Yeah, take 33 % of every Snickers bar they get. That's right. Yeah, that's just the way it is. Why wait? Welcome to America, you know? And yeah, the next FOMC is October 31st, November 1st, so. Okay, okay. October 31st. All right, all right. Halloween, what's Jerome Powell going to dress up as? Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Pat, do you want us to dress up on the channel? I might be willing to dress up in a costume. I might be willing. You know, every - I could break out the green spandex, go old school. You know, every Halloween, AJ disappears and a Mr. Meeseeks just shows up. Okay, I heard existence is pain though. Existence is pain. We're not fumbling around for meaning here, Deezy. All right. Well, I'm fumbling around for this rate of inflation. It eases slightly 6 .7 % despite the oil prices surging. You know, like we said, I think the oil is going to be a leading indicator, so inflation will trickle down from the oil prices. If you want to think about it, it's going to cost more money to get those bananas to drive from point A to point B because they're going to have to spend more in the gas tank. This is going to be - It's just give it a while, let it roll out to the rest of the economy. Namely, food. Oil prices really, really like to impact food prices a couple months down the line. Well, we're looking at the ONS as the Office for National Statistics, and they said the consumer price index measure slowed in the 12 months to August from the 6 .8 figure reported the previous month thanks to food rising at a weaker pace during the month compared to August 22. During the X minute, I have a tweet about Canadian food prices, and I just kind of look at where they've gone over the past 20 years. It is shocking. It is shocking. I used Bard. I was like, this doesn't feel right for the price. I went to a Canadian grocery store, and I went low. I went low. There's expensive eggs and cheap eggs. I typed in the cheap egg price. It was still very scary. All right, well, we have predictions. Jerome Powell's got his ideas. You notice I was thinking about this BlackRock. What is BlackRock thinking about all this? BlackRock and others predict the Fed's next move. What does it mean for Bitcoin though? According to Marilyn Watson, is a BlackRock's head of global fundamental income strategy. The central bank's federal funds target rate will remain roughly the same until the end of the year going through its September, November, and December meetings. For the record, I think the economic data has consistently surprised to the upside, she said. That includes GDP, the unemployment rate, and the labor market. Beware, beware of recession. The analyst has previously argued that Bitcoin's price is macroeconomic determined by conditions, including its four -year cycles, which I am still a firm believer in for this cycle. Might be less of an effect of the previous one, but I'm still a believer in the four -year cycle, going to push Bitcoin to the new high. I do think we'll set in a new all -time high. I don't think we're going to hit a quarter million dollars in two years, but I think we're going to flirt with $100K, which they do not believe are related to the Bitcoin halving. So they're saying the four -year cycle is not related. I don't know what they're saying here. Risk assets go lower in recessions. So I'd expect Bitcoin would not perform well in that environment. It has not seen a real recession in its existence. It was birthed out of a recession, but yeah, hasn't really gone through one from the beginning stages to the end there. Yeah, there's never been a Bitcoin bull run during a phase of quantitative tightening. We've always been quantitatively easing the money supply anytime Bitcoin goes up into the right. And that obviously is what it takes. I think they're kind of leaning into if we're in a recession, and that lines up with the four -year cycle. But just so far, we're three for three with the having idea playing out. And the trend hasn't broken yet, so that's why I always say sticking to November 25 as a benchmark, but that's just a benchmark. It could be behind that. It could be in front of that. We don't have a crystal ball, but we can go off the pattern that we've seen before. All right. Well, speaking of quantitative tightening, we also have calfskin tightening, the tightest calfskin in the entire world. I don't care if you have a baby cow jacket for an extra small on an 800 -pound man, there is no tighter calfskin than the man I'm looking at right now. That is Frankie Candles. Frankie Candles, welcome back. How's it doing? Does it feel good? It feels good. The calfskin is tight, and so is Bitcoin's price action. But yeah, I don't want to waste time here. Let's go ahead and jump right into the charts here. Now, here we are. Now, obviously, I talk about this all the time. I don't typically trade on newsdays like this. It is usually a complete washing machine. Usually the shorts get wrecked, then the longs get wrecked, or the longs get wrecked, and then the shorts get wrecked. So I don't typically trade. Now, I am in a few trades right now. I am in this Bitcoin long right now. I have profits locked in on this trade and my stop loss is at my entry. So kind of how I am playing this today is I'm going to be holding my long. I am long from about $25 ,000 to $50 ,000 just below this range. And again, I have taken profits on that stop loss at break even. And then I am also in a short position from somewhere up here. I am slightly in profit on the short position. So I am long up and now I am in this small short position that is in slight profit. However, this is kind of how I'm playing this today, DZ. Because basically, like I said, I never recommend people trade on these newsdays just because of the complete unpredictable volatility that you're likely to see. Now, the last FOMC meeting, I believe, was on the 25th, 26th of July. I believe someone could correct me if I'm wrong on that. But we actually have seen a few FOMC meetings where we didn't really have too much happen. And I've been telling people that we are likely in that kind of boring accumulation phase of the bear market. A lot of times, if you go back to at least the 2017 or 2018, 2019 bear market, we had that bear market rally. And once we topped off at that point, we kind of just bled out. And for the most part, if you kind of just ignore this panic wick from March of 2020, which was obviously a Black Swan event, we kind of just wiggled sideways. We got that big bear market rally, we topped off, bled out a little bit, and then we just kind of went sideways again with the exception of that panic wick. And I do think we are in somewhat of a similar situation here where the rest of this bear market may not be the most exciting thing ever. But for today, basically how I'm handling this, DZ, is I'm going to be kind of...

same thing I just want to make sure yes just our audience is bored they don't want to comment actually this is all Lou's fault yeah yeah always the you know I would probably lost the other comments is because I rebooted so hmm all right well you know what we're gonna start without Lou right as I say that as I say that does he have what does he what do you let's get the full screen nose is that why you were late you had to clean your nose and he's back in Paris again you brown nose er I've been a bad dog my laptop and he's back in pair you left here in Paris you must have left it back in the United States I did I left on the plane how you doing Lou I'm doing alright how are you guys doing well I just had a little technical difficulty and we blamed you because you weren't here so you left me alone and I had to talk opera with myself talked opera yeah rigoletto did you talk about rigoletto this time I'm just really boring you know I'm like all right this is why this is a two and a half hour podcast some of us have to work tomorrow all right here we go let's jump right into 1967 musical events in 1967 and the year kicks off right away with a bomb a bomb on January 4th the doors release can arguably one of the greatest debut records ever arguably if you had a top 25 greatest debut that albums would have to be in the top 10 it would have to be yeah you know if you had a top 50 that would have to be in the top 10 right even if you don't like them you have to say that was so ahead of its time oh it's so different nothing out there was like the needle and all you hear it kicks I mean fucking what a way to start an album it's a heavy song it with a bossa nova beat yeah I mean that's pretty clever yeah 67 so you know bossa nova was pretty hip again John Densmore over underrated underrated underappreciated I think you are you are so correct you know never gets the the the consideration that I I don't know you can't put him in greatest of all time but could he be okay if there's a top there's a top 25 drummer top 25 drummers is he in it good question and in rock we'll just say in rock I think he could be I could see him making so I don't know if he's a universal pick but I could see him on some list I mean he's something you'd have to think about like you said like it doesn't get noticed so much you know yeah yeah or it I mean although his drumming wasn't shy I mean he's jazzy as hell I heard um writers on the storm yesterday and his adjustment playing is great in his adjustments during the shows just for that yeah yeah the unpredictability of you know how the how the song was gonna go right because they could rehearse it all they want once Morrison got into that zone well in the drama keeps the beat right yeah yeah the drummer has to stay up with that yeah and played to the clown so to speak right you know and my my problem is if some of the clowns don't have the beat you know at one point they've got to give in like I said Morrison or even Dylan they'll set the tone but they've got to be steady themselves you know it's yeah otherwise it's just erratic but you know yeah guy like Dan's more I mean I had skill I had a lot of a lot of technical ability right feel yes cool so obviously his drums always sounded good yeah on the earlier on the other records even you know three years worth of music whatever I guess I would be who produced some Jack Holtzman was the producer did a good job Jekyll or now wait so no what was it Paul Rothchild yes yes yes I'm sorry Holtzman was he on the record company yeah yeah was that it was that chrysalis or chrysalis I think or just like yes that's a lecture a lecture weren't they on chrysalis though also I thought they were yeah maybe maybe chrysalis was a subsidiary but uh yeah Jack Holtzman's son is Adam Holtzman he's a keyboardist right now he plays with here we go Stephen Wilson but he does a little blog on Facebook and he talks about growing up and he was like six years old and his father brought him to a club to see the tour Wow at six years old he just talks about like yeah it's a great little blog Wow all right and four days later on January 8th Elvis Presley turned 32 on January 14th the human be in right the human be e -i -n human being takes place in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park polo fields with spoken words from Timothy Leary Allen Ginsberg Gary Snyder in others live music was provided by Jefferson Airplane the Grateful Dead Big Brother in the holding company and Quicksilver Messenger Service speeches from Jerry Rubin and others were also given at the event although it's one band there I liked yeah Quicksilver Messenger Service who was it on January 15th 1967 who is your favorite poet of all them I know you're not asking me Arthur Rimbaud who influenced Jim Morrison good answer good answer way to bring that first opening segment rough full circle we're getting better Scott we're good now you guys get a lot of good trust me I'm getting a lot of good feedback so let's keep it at that I don't want you son ask for more money and on January 15th 1967 the Rolling Stones appear on the Ed Sullivan show at Ed Sullivan's request finish it he asked them to let's spend sing let's spend some time together is that the one there you go yeah and then he told him a really big shoe I hate to do this I mean I come back on penalty box I don't say just he beat my record okay look he just got on the show after late and these are either he's stuck he's frozen put the dog nose back on where'd it go are you throw it at the camera like your headphones on January 16th 1967 the monkeys begin work on headquarters the first album to give them complete artistic and technical control over their material and it was fucking horrible fucking horrible what were they thinking they know they were thinking the egos got too big they thought they were the music well the argument can be made that you know Mike Nesmith did write different drum yeah so he could write songs but I don't think he was a pop songwriter you know headquarters and they try to be all fucking like 60 ish and shit they weren't looking for pop were they they're trying to be like more psychedelic yeah I think so there were their channel on the Beatles with those quirky little yeah with anti -grizzelles on that I don't know some weird shit I'll tell you what though I don't care about it myself but it was surely a harpsichord on it because that's what all those records had they had to have a harpsichord and I have the book this the 100 best -selling records of the 60s the monkeys got a they've had quite a few albums on there oh they do yeah they were they were but I mean I thought it was just a condensed period of the show which it probably was but it's still I mean they've got I mean most of their albums sold really well yeah yeah ah you like the show what's it is like the show I did I still like it I still love it I love that that that's so that humor is great like dumbed down brilliantly done though humor yeah way was what they were supposed to act like that yeah you know what I mean there was no like these guys are bad actors they knew exactly how to do that they pulled it off great it was campy it was great for its time it's still great to watch now yeah I do think that banana splits were a better band yeah that's I'll give you the banana splits were a kick -ass band yeah yeah kick -ass man did you see the movie recently came out it's a horror movie with the banana splits the banana splits movie it's a horror movie yeah yeah it takes place in an amusement park and they're they're robotic and in Dyson and slicing baby Dyson and slicing I have to say oh man that's yeah okay yeah Dyson and slicing it's good it's kids again campy movie but I couldn't not watch it yeah I have to say I'm sure Fleagle is a total psychopath well I'm not gonna give you any and no no no spoilers here those was it just Dyson and slicing on January 17 1967 the daily mail newspaper reports four thousand potholes in Blackburn Lancashire and Guinness air Tara Brown is killed in a car wreck these articles inspire lyrics for a day in the life a day in the life yes on January 22nd 1967 Simon and Garfunkel give live can't give a live concert at Phil harmonic Phil harmonic call in New York City some of this concert is released on October 4th 1997 on their box set old friends but most is not released until July 2002 that's some more okay January 29th mantra rock dance the quote ultimate high of the hippie era is organized at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco featuring Janis Joplin grateful dead big brother in the holding company for three Moby grape quirky that would've been interesting that's the best man that's the best as though for they're almost like the MC five kind of I think they were just kind of but they're they're a San Francisco band and beat poet once again Allen Ginsberg shows up to do his spoken word I heard he was a member of NAMBLA I wouldn't the National Association of Marlon Brando look -alikes I heard I'd someone I remember he actually he was a sponsor of NAMBLA but anyway on January 30th 1967 the Beatles shoot a promotional film for the forthcoming single strawberry fields forever at Noel Park in Seven Oaks have you seen it I have seen it I haven't seen it in a long time it's really cool yeah yeah it's kind of dark speaking of dark on February 3rd 1967 UK record producer Joe Meek murders is it his landlady and then commits suicide by shooting himself in the head in Holloway North in London it's kind of dark didn't he produce sleepwalk yes letter Telstar some early we talked we did it bit of a genius really yeah let's see February 7th Mickey Dolan's no let me stop February 6th Mike Nesmith A highlight from Bitcoin Starts Fresh Rally! (3 Things To Watch This Week)

"Good morning, everybody. It's time to discover crypto. It is September 18th. It's 11 .32am. How are we all doing today? We're going to talk about inflation. We're going to talk about Chainlink. We're going to talk about Bitcoin. We're going to talk about Solana. We're going to talk about hot wallet hacks. Is it? Is that what's going on? What is happening to everybody? And once again, we got Drew and AJ on the ones and twos. What's up, man? How was your weekend, Dizzy? My weekend was pretty good. I got heartburned for the first time ever. Weird. I've never had it. I think it's because I'm lactose intolerant. I think maybe I don't have enough acid in my stomach, but yeah, first time ever had it. Guys, that thing is tough. It's no joke. We didn't have any Tums. Never experienced it myself. It was from a chili oil and a rare ramen bowl. One of those, you know, there's like for real Asian ones. Okay. It's like a little pack. Mess me up. Mess me up. But you know what? It just gave me time to sit, be calm and investigate some more crypto. And I bought more crypto. I've bought more crypto in the past 24 hours. I might even share what it is. And I shaved the head. Point seven chain link or one whole chain link? How far are we going down the rabbit hole? It wasn't chain link because I bought chain link live. And so it's a new coin, everybody. Hey, AJ, your tweet convinced me to buy algo. Okay. Yeah. I've heard that a couple times throughout, you know, a couple times I've heard that. Look at the hair. It's actually getting closer to flock of seagulls. It is getting close to flock of seagulls in a good way, though, in a good way. And CCC says the best is because we're getting old. Yeah. I was like, I don't know what this is, babe. I don't know. Maybe it's heartburn, but I've never had heartburn. She's like, yeah, you're getting old. I got torn apart by heartburn this weekend. So what was your food? Mine was chili oil. What was yours? It was spaghetti with bison, homemade spaghetti, bison. That's a Drew meal if I've ever heard it. All right. You know what? I'm ready to eat. I'm ready to bite into some crypto prices right now. I want to bite off some more of that Bitcoin, everybody. Uh, it looks like, uh, the crypto market caps are pumping, baby. We are up 2 .1%. We are now at $1 .1 trillion, 24 hour volume. I'm surprised it's even this low. It's 37 billion bucks. We have Bitcoin dominance coming in at 47 and a half in gas, really low at 23 gwe. Heartburn, uh, when you can't get a calmness. Yeah, man. It was, I was laying, I didn't know what I was doing. I was just laying down, probably making it worse the whole time. All right. Uh, we have Bitcoin moving up, everybody. It is up 2 .7%. I just refreshed, but I want to do it again. 2 .9%. We have Eve pumping almost up to 2 % here. BNB up one and a half percent Lido stake ether up a also 1 .9%. Solana baby Solana is up 5%. Cardano ton coin on the weekly up 48 .50 % on the weekly. That's holograms coin skyrocketed the top 10. No one knows where it came from. You can see it right there. Just whew. And then it's actually a bit kind of low ever since then. Uh, who would have known that was good. Accumulation zone. Crazy. Maybe a lot of people knew crazy. I, we just put a video on ton coin out yesterday. Really interesting coin to look into. Definitely check out that video if you haven't yet. And to roof Rolf, uh, I cannot pronounce your name in the, um, in the chat there, guys, you know, where I can get AJ's full predictions. If you go to the playlist, there's a whole playlist of all of them in order of when they came out. So if you go to the YouTube channel right here, you click playlists, uh, then your scroll created a caffeinated price prediction department right there. There it is. Okay. That's where it'd be. That's where it would be. And we got, um, polka dot price predictions coming out today. Normally they come out Sunday, last week, things were really hectic. So the price prediction for polka dot is today and then it'll be Sunday from here on out. All right. All right. Uh, so is everybody ready to hit that like button? Cause I heard if you hit the like button, you increase the odds that your coins are going to pop up on the top gainers of the top hundred coins of the past 24 hours. So go ahead and hit that like button. I'll give you three seconds. I was to take a sip of water. They didn't hit the light button yet. Oh man. They just hit it. I relief is washing over me in an awesome way. All right. Uh, in the number one gainer for the day, it is E cash. Everybody E cash is up 15 % skyrocketing up to the 72 ranked here, but check how many zeros there are. I don't like coins when they have that many zeros. What about you, AJ? Yeah, I'm not a fan. I'm not a fan. I like, you know, if it's like, you know, zero, zero nine. All right. But once we get like past that third or fourth zero, I'm just kinda like, I don't, I don't know. I can't do this. It's a lot. It's hard math. I'm three thousandth of a penny. You miss out on a 10 X. Was it a 10 X? Did it reduce by 90 %? Like subtracting. Uh, I'm picturing drew in a tree knife and mouth about to jump down on the bison camouflage, black paint under his eyes, bandana, American bandana trailing in the sky. As he falls down with knives in hand, he can picture it. I can see it. I got jacked up by an entire hornet's nest. I cut down a tree and then I got in the tree to push it the way I wanted it to go and found a hornet's nest. And my entire body is full of Hornet poison. Is that why it was so swollen this morning at the urine? Are you looking like on purpose? Are you okay, dude? I'm great. I'm doing just fine. He seems, yeah, he's doing good. He's, he's covered head to toe in calamine, but he's good. Everyone smashed the like button for drew for being here. If I got stung by an entire hornet's nest, believe that I would be at home watching like Harry Potter or something. I wouldn't be here. I tell you that. Did you eat the insects? All right. Uh, so we have e -cash coming in as the top gainer, 15 .7, but number two is the coin that DZ bought live on air. It was up 9 .4 % on the news. Although there's a lot of whale activity. I think there's a 350 million volume just from the whales. Uh, 420 million 24 hour volume there stacks is up 7 .1 % ton coin. You know, part of the reason you see it up 50 % it is up 6 .5 % today. Casper up 6 % Solana 5 % coins are moving today and they're moving strong. Like coin up 4 .5 % Bitcoin cash up 4%. Uh, any of these coins, anything popping out Bitcoin is you never see Bitcoin, uh, you know, even this high of the top gainer. So ape coin was going on. It's a reverse DZ indicator today, but we still got to look at the losers and I haven't checked. I promise you I haven't checked. I don't know if any of my coins are going to be in there. I'm hoping not. I'm hoping it's like 0 .2 and then everything else is up to the upside. Uh, no. Oh my God. Can you do the show? I don't even want to do the show anymore. All right. I guys, I promise you. I didn't look, I don't know why roll bits. Very sad. Very sad day keeps on giving. Very sad. All right. Roll bits down top coins down. I did take some profit like two months ago and then I've just been riding in this emotional rollercoaster ever since. Uh, we have Iota and then we go into the low areas. Then it's 1 .3, 1 .2 % below actually infinity. I'm just looking for another one of my coins, but uh, no, it's just, just the second biggest loser of the day. Uh, but then yeah, very shortly after that we are in the green. So three, six, eight, eight coins and then we're flat. One of the eight is a stable coin. So pretty much markets are flat. Really not too much has fallen except for, you know, one of these coins. Of course. Uh, DZ cut his hair. Yeah. It's more aerodynamic when I trade. Uh, we need an inverse DZ fun. Okay. Interesting. Son of a gun. It's a great idea. It's great. I'm kidding. Well, what? The hair thing? No, the inverse DZ. Oh, the inverse DZ fun. Okay.

A highlight from 1257. Binance Falling | BNB Chain Analysis

"Alright, so you guys don't want to miss this one. We're going to be breaking down Binance, their current state of things, and are they in trouble or is this just par for the course for crypto? I don't know. We're going to take a look at all the things that are happening around Binance and whether or not maybe you should take a look at it a little harder. My name is Paul Baron. Welcome back into Tech Path. And before we get started, I want to thank our sponsor, and that is iTrustCapital. If you guys are looking at long -term holding of crypto, one of the things you can do is go into a crypto IRA. It's very simple and very easy. All you have to do is visit their website. You can start your crypto IRA journey. Going into Bitcoin, Ethereum, you can do all sorts of altcoins. You can also get into gold and silver. So it's very flexible. No monthly fees for you. The only fees you'll pay is when you do your own self -directed trades inside your IRA. So just check it out. Make sure and use our link. It's going to help you guys get started and you get a $100 funding reward once you do decide to go. All right. We're going to get into a few points I want to hit on. Part of this will be into, there's a few things happening this week, but obviously everybody's kind of all eyes on Binance right now and have been for a couple of weeks. Big week ahead. Monday, the SEC versus Binance designated court hearing. That's today. Wednesday, the FOMC interest rate decision comes in. We also see the press conference from Powell on Wednesday. And then Friday we'll see SEC versus Binance documents unsealed. That to me is the bigger picture because first of all, and we've covered this many times on the show, is that the sealing of these documents is very unusual for the SEC. So what is it that we could discover on those unsealing of those documents? I don't know. I'd love to get you guys' comments on what you think is going to happen on Friday. Drop some comments down below. Make sure and smash the like button is one of the ways that this video gets out there and it gets discovered by the YouTube algorithm. So please help us out there. We appreciate it. All right. So a couple of things happening here. SEC accuses Binance of US of non -cooperation. And this is a problem when you are a US organization and you're with not coordinating the regular. Now I get it. Nobody's in love with the SEC. But you do have to address it. Everybody that we've talked about here recently on the show who have had some challenges all the way into the issue with Ashton Kocher and Mila Kunis. Those people are all acting like normal adults. And that is, all right, let's see how we can fix this. This is the problem I think that relies or lies within the Binance ecosystem. Another thing here that I want to hit on here, sealed documents in the SEC versus Binance unredacts. And this is under court order now. So this is a big deal. So the judge basically said, hey, we're going to go in and allow the SEC motion to unveil the documents related to the lawsuit. Now, why does it get into a court order to say, OK, we're going to do what is in there that is so damaging that would cause a judge to have to approve this to happen and for them to be redacted anyway in the beginning? I think this is the thing that everybody is asking. What is in there that makes this so dramatic? So this week is going to be a big week. So just first of all, pay attention to what's happening within Binance. Most of you probably are off of the Binance exchange in the United States. But overall, if you look at this on a global perspective, this I think is going to have larger waves hitting Binance over the next few months. And I'm only going off of just the troubles with the SEC, the regulatory problems we have here in the U .S. And you have to also extend it into the Binance organization. As an example, mist of the heightened regulatory security right now, Binance is seeing key executives resign left and right. So chief strategy officer, VP of compliance is out ahead of product resigns. General counsel is out ahead of APAC resigns. Binance U .S. CEO, head of legal resigns, chief risk officer. Why is everybody leaving and jumping ship right now? What is it that they know that is going on? If there is anybody out there that work for Binance and if you guys are interested in coming on the show, we would love to have you because I'm very interested to find out what is going on inside the organization to cause this kind of landslide movement of executives. I mean, this cannot be and is not normal for an organization like this. Makes me think of some others that have kind of been out there. All right. So I want to take a look at Binance U .S. just over time. You can kind of see a little bit of the decline in Binance U .S. over time. Obviously, at the heyday, they were running in BNB, especially when you look at BNB over time. This has continued to fall off in general of everything that's been transacting within Binance U .S. So I don't know if you guys are using Binance U .S. Those of you that have, are you in a position where you've started to exit? I'd love to kind of get your feedback of users that are out there in the space that are actually changing maybe some of their habits. And if so, where did you go? And what are you using right now as your exchange of choice? Other thing right here is total value locked, of course, on BSC. Continues to drive down. This, of course, is over, you know, well, right here was their high all the way back into May of 2021, which again, that was right there before that first pump that we had in 2021. And then obviously the Bitcoin high that we hit in November in late 2021. Others, of course, I'll go into. And this one right here is going into transactions also on BSC. And you can kind of see the decline here that's been going on right now. And it's down quite a bit in terms of total transactions. So all these kind of scenarios, whether you follow DeFi Llama or if you guys are out there doing research on different projects, I'm sure you are and you use tools like DeFi Llama, it's one of the things that we use. All right. So as an example, here's Polygon, just Solara 2 coming in at right around two billion, or two million transactions. And then again, this is just one example of these kind of scenarios that are taking place right now in the overall market. The other thing that's looking at this, and I want to zoom in on this a little bit. I'm going to show you where ETH stakers are living right now. Obviously, Lido number one right there at almost 271 ,000 validators, 32 percent of the market share. Let me zoom up on that right there. And then if you scan across there, of course, is Coinbase coming in at 8 .4 percent right there. And then Binance at 4 .5. So Coinbase really has slid in front significantly. And that's a pretty big deal because that's just the United States versus Binance covering pretty much the rest of the planet in terms of ETH stakes. So to me, that's another major slowdown in where Binance is going. And if you look at Ethereum in general, that's a very strong indicator of health in many of these centralized exchanges. Here, of course, is some other examples of Binance doing something that I thought was a little bit thirsty. Today, we're launching OPBNB on Mainnet. Layer 2 solution now fully released to the public, allowing for lightning fast transactions. This course is coming in on Optimism. And they show some of the projects in here within it. But you can kind of see basically this was a exact model that happened with Base. If you look at this, it's an Ethereum virtual machine compatible Layer 2 built on Optimism, the OP stack, by offering cheaper gas fees set to make blockchain technology accessible to all. It's exactly what's happening over on Base. Base, obviously, though, is significantly higher in a very short period of time, too. So that in itself. Here's some of the project partners. Not a lot of partners on here that you'll recognize, but if you guys know of a project that is out there on this, let me know in the comments. And because maybe this would be a good interview or something that we could take a look at how this is working for Binance and some of their project developers, because that's a big deal, I think, when you look at the growth of these ecosystems. Here, of course, is the OP, total value right now, bridged on OP. So it's not necessarily, what is that, right around $4 million. And if you kind of look at some of the projects that are on here as well, here's just to give you an example on NFT sales by volume. Let's go take a look at Binance here. This is over time. So, obviously, ETH, what's possible, obviously, Ronan edits Heyday, Solana, Flow, Polygon, Cardano, and then all the way down into even over Avalanche, and this is all time, versus BNB Chain. So BNB Chain has had a bit of a struggle in being able to really get consistent within the NFT market and Avalanche is, again, another single chain being able to outperform what's happening on Binance. So things have not come together as a whole. Just to give you an example of some of the top BNB Chain games that are out there. You've got, this is the one that, whether you like it or you don't like it, but as you'll notice here, not a lot of major Web3 games that are showing up here on BNB. So, I don't know, again, if you're a game dev, are you building, are you even planning on building on Binance? Would love to kind of get some ideas on that. We've had some people that have been building on this chain before, and many, you know, have started to look at either migration paths, but also starting to look at other options. I think that'll be the big question as we go forward. Here's the top 10 dApps right now on BNB Chain, and you can kind of see some of those. Again, not other than XCAD, which I would say yes, and TinyTap. Yeah, okay. These are good projects. Question will be is, and will these projects start to migrate and do some other strategies here on the long term? This could be one of those scenarios. Social Fi dApps, also by activities over the last 30 days. This comes in from the top 10 social Fi apps, and this is over the last 30 days. I don't know. Again, not necessarily, other than XCAD, I would say is the only one that, well, FriendTech, obviously, on base is going to be the big one over there. All right. So looking at XCAD, which would be, I think, a little bit of their rock star here, a huge moment for XCAD and Play community has arrived. XCAD app is now available iOS, so this is going to be good for XCAD. We've had their CEO on the show before. XCAD is in our market sentiment indicator, so we do track it, and it has ups and downs, but it is a very interesting project, I think, now that may get some interesting movement here with this movement on Apple. All right. So this was our tweet out to the XCAD founder, recommendation to earn a way of rewarding successful video recommendations. You could both increase engagement, break the status quo on YouTube algorithm. Number two, multi -chain support, Ethereum, Polygon, Solana, Flow, and Avalanche, for obvious reasons, should be done ASAP. We'll see what they say about it. Let's go to a clip right here from Oliver. I was using Ethereum quite a lot, and I started to notice that Bitcoin and Ethereum did not scale at all. I got really excited by Zilliqa, and it was the only things I could see that was possibly going to scale. This was a long time ago, way before all these other chains and stuff. For me, I love Zilliqa, nothing against Zilliqa, but for me, I think the future is multi -chain. Why just remain on one single chain when you can be on a few chains? So this was done, that interview we did with Oliver Bell, this is one of the founders of XCAD, was done months before base was really released, was done well before many of these alternatives that are out there within the market, even to a certain extent, even before Avalanche was really getting into gaming. So I think the fact that he was already identifying that multi -chain was a good thing, I think is going to be a scenario that most likely will play out for XCAD. So I am looking for that to be happening over on XCAD. If you were predicting anything, that might be it. The other thing is that when you think about just Binance in general, remember, they were one of the ecosystems that helped foster Web3, and I have to thank them for that. That is one of the things at least that got many of these dev apps and devs together with understanding of how to maybe create something that was a solution to better Web3 in all sorts of different scenarios. But when you look at gaming and where a lot of these game devs are going to be going, you have to look at a couple of chains. And I think Avalanche is a good example, right? Here is kind of the future of what Avalanche is doing right now. DeFi Kingdom, Shrapnel in there, you know, what else do they have over there? Obviously, MetaOps, many of these you guys have probably started to see. But Avalanche has really started to move along here, so pretty intriguing especially. Now, we have had the game lead on here on our show from Avalanche, which you are welcome back to the show, we would love to have you. I like what they are doing, and I think it is one of those things that, you know, we continue to see a lot of movement. We have done a few videos on this. This was Avalanche launching the first NFT game on PS5 and Xbox. This is a pretty big deal, and we broke this down. I was just here a couple of weeks ago, and we also did a full ecosystem. Go check out our videos on Avalanche. You will get a chance to see all the way back to John Woo, who is the CEO of Ava Labs.

A highlight from HOTTEST Altcoin Right Now! (What Is Ton Coin?)

"It's a story that spans 8 ,000 acres of Blue Ridge Mountain beauty bathed in shades of orange and crimson. Fall won't last forever. Savor it while you can at Biltmore. Plan your stay at Biltmore .com. The past six Septembers in a row have been bearish for Bitcoin, but there's another coin that's on the verge of breaking into the top ten that woke up well before September ended. Toncoin, that stands for the open network, is on a fast track to onboarding millions of users in the next few years thanks to their integration with Telegram. You might not know that Toncoin and Telegram have a controversial past that dates back years before the recent announcement. So let's dive in and discover crypto. My name is AJ writes crypto and today we are going to talk about Toncoin, which has practically gone viral in just the past week. Some of you might not know this, but back in 2018, Toncoin was actually developed by, guess who? Telegram. For the record, it was called Gram back then. But anyways, Telegram raised well over a billion dollars in fundraising, but unfortunately they had to give it back to the investors and pay an $18 .5 million fine to the SEC due to a violation of federal securities laws. They got sued by the SEC before they even got the wheels spinning. Classic. Once Telegram was forced to abandon the project to stay out of hot water, a handful of dedicated developers in the community took it over because since it's open source, the code was on GitHub and they knew they had something special on their hands. Well, what's so special about it? Do you know how Ethereum planned on working out their scalability issues with sharding? Well, this is something Toncoin already has figured out since the project was designed for millions and millions of people to use it. Toncoin has an intimidating block time of five seconds and a time of finality under six seconds, not to mention near instant cross shard communication. If you take a peek at their roadmap, you will see how far they've already come and they have been building out this massive ecosystem slowly but surely over the years. Toncoin is not just the blockchain. They're also building out a decentralized storage system, a payment settlement system, and a proxy that allows you to change your IP address with zero downtime. According to their website, they have gone as far to say that they're building the reliable internet of the future, kind of like ICP. And of course, they have NFTs, cross chain bridges, and DNS domain names as well. But AJ, what about the price action? If you want the drop on that, you're going to have to stick around to the end of the video. My question is, how did this layer one get to where it is now? Well, their beginnings help explain this because their current consensus mechanism is proof of stake, but they began as an IPOW or initial proof of work. In June of 2020, using special Giver smart contracts, 98 .55 % of the total supply became available to mine, and for the next two years, they did just that. In June of last year, the last Toncoin was mined and then they switched to proof of stake, which is why the chain is super fast, efficient, and have the eco -friendly box checked. I do find it pretty insane on how fast Toncoin climbed the ladder in blockchain, but considering the plan was to always be tethered to Telegram, it does make sense. To play the devil's advocate, I have to address the issues that some people already have with this project. First of all, there are already people on the internet pushing back against Toncoin's claims about being decentralized. Like always, I will remind you that decentralization is a spectrum, but where this project falls on that spectrum is the real question. For example, Ethereum has over 700 ,000 validators, where Tonstat .com shows that Toncoin only has 351. That's probably because you have to have 300 ,000 ton to become a validator, which is about $558 ,000 today. Haha, it cost a ton. Okay, I'm done. Another worry that stands out to me is their rich list, or the percentage of the supply held by the largest holders. Also not the best look here for Toncoin, because according to Coincart .com, the top 10 holders own 77 .7 % of the supply, and the top 100 holders own 90 .7 % of the supply. Yeah, I mean, adoption is great, but those numbers are pretty terrifying. Another question people have is that the circulating supply is over 3 .4 billion, but why is the total supply over 5 billion coins? Are they just going to unload a billion coins on an unexpected market, or what? Well, not exactly. In a community vote earlier this year in February, they voted to suspend all of the inactive miner wallets who have never made an outgoing transaction. The vote went through, and over a billion coins worth over $2 .5 billion were suspended. For the record, these coins will be frozen for four years, so in 2027, this will come back into play. This vote also had a pretty harsh effect on the circulating supply as well. If you look at this chart here, posted by Toncoin, after the vote, the circulating supply increased from 1 .22 billion to almost 4 billion. This chart they posted is not 100 % accurate, because we know the circulating supply is currently 3 .4 billion, but at the end of the day, the supply still increased by over 180 % because of this vote. Moving forward, at least the total supply will only increase by 0 .6 % every year. The silver lining here is that even if some people didn't like it, in terms of tokenomics, the worst is behind us. And sure, there are some things that kind of worry me about this project, but the visibility crypto is going to get by being integrated into Telegram is absolutely massive. And I still think this coin could probably put out some pretty serious numbers. According to these charts Toncoin posted, Telegram is projected to have 1 .5 billion users by 2028, and if Toncoin onboards 30 % of Telegram's users, they will have over 500 million users in their ecosystem. They have a long way to go because according to Tonstat .com, there's currently only around 3 .3 million accounts and less than 800 ,000 active on -chain wallets. But hey, let's hope for the best. Considering that Toncoin's market cap sits just below 9 .5 billion today, I'm really interested to see how far this will go if they really do manage to onboard 500 million users. It's also worth pointing out that this project is already ranked number 12. I mean, it's on the verge of breaking into the top 10 by market cap in all of crypto. And the thing is, the largest crypto exchanges haven't listed it yet. It's only available on Kucoin, Bitfinex, Uniswap, and a few others. I am definitely interested to see how the price will react if it starts landing major listings. Time will tell. Speaking of price, Toncoin is currently hanging out around the $1 .90 mark after it was rejected at the $2 level after its latest pump. According to Masari, Toncoin put in its all -time high of $5 .16 on Christmas day of 2021. This isn't a price prediction video, but remember that Toncoin's supply was much lower back then than what it is now. With that said, to get back to that all -time high of $5 .16, Toncoin would need a $17 .8 billion market cap, which is 173 % increase from its current level. Considering how high its market cap already is, if you want to get a 10x out of Toncoin, you're kind of asking for a lot because that would require the market cap to exceed $65 .4 billion. I think this project has a lot of potential to onboard millions of new users, and I'm definitely excited to see what becomes of its ecosystem, but I am a little worried about its upside considering how much more work the market cap has to do to put in a 10x. A highlight from Ethereum Spot ETF: Bullish Or Nothingburger?

"Oh, welcome to the morning. Ow! My foot. Welcome to the morning stream, everybody. We're going to discover some crypto news today. It is September 7th. It's 11 .31 a .m. Eastern Standard Time. 8 .30 for the West Coast, folks. They're still waking up. They're still getting sleep out their eyes. Is it sleep or sleet? I remember I used to think it was sleet out your eyes. Sleet. What a weird name, right? I don't know. I never heard sleet out your eyes. Eye boogers? What do you call eye boogers? Eye boogers is what I usually say. Chat, let us know. Guys, make sure you're hitting that like today. We got some huge news with Van Eck talking about the ETH ETF, also Ripple Labs. We got Ripple Labs CTO revealing some secret XRP news, but we're going to try to guess because someone put out a list of like, hey, I bet you're going to do four or five of these things. He said, we're definitely doing two of them. So we're going to look at that list and maybe try to make some XRP predictions. It'll be pretty cool. We got the China ban, some Cardano news, and Reddit NFL stuff. Where are the NFL fans at? What's your team, Tim? I don't have an NFL team. I love the NFL. I grew up in Tampa, so you could maybe say the Bucks, but I don't really like the Bucks either. I don't know. I always have a team I choose. Right now, I really like more recent years what Detroit is doing. So I'm kind of a lion's fan. What is it? Barry Sanders? I was a Barry Sanders fan. Barry Sanders is a goat. I was but no, I love the coach at Detroit right now. If you guys like Detroit Lions, let him know in chat. Tim, do you know how much a pirate pays to get his ear pierced? I feel like that's an obvious answer that it's not coming to the tip of my brain right now. So go ahead and tell me the punchline. It's a buccaneer. Oh my God. There we go. That's good one. You hated it, didn't you? I'm sorry. All right, let's just get to the crypto news, folks. All right, CoinGecko, what is going on, everybody? We are down a little bit, but not too much. Let's hit that refresh. I lied. We're up, baby. We're moving up. We're up 0 .8%. It looks like market cap still largely coming in at 1 .08 trillion. 24 -hour volume is down slightly, $31 billion. Bitcoin dominance not really moved that much. Looks like it's actually down 0 .2 % and gas coming in at 27 Gwei. All right, let's look at the markets. We have Bitcoin up half of 1 % and Ethereum up only 0 .3%. Really not exciting news off that ETF, so the markets haven't reacted that strongly. BNB up 0 .4%, XRP up 0 .4%. Keep scrolling though, we don't really see too much stuff. I mean, just to get into the single digits, you got to get out of the top 10, go all the way down to Tron. Tron is up 1 .6. Very, very boring. So let's look at the exciting charts here. This is the biggest gainers and the biggest losers of the day. When you say biggest loser of the day, don't say DZ or don't say DZ's portfolio, although it might be, we're going to find out. The biggest gainer is Render. Render is up 6%. Stellar. Stellar was down and beaten down hard yesterday. I thought Stellar was down earlier today, so it's made a little turn out. Yeah, let's click on that chart. We'll see once we click on that seven -day, you can kind of see where we went from a negative into positive. Yeah, so you can see right there at one point, this is about 24 hours ago right around here. So yeah, at one point, yeah, it was just down and down heavy, but now since we kind of capitulated from that bottom, it's looking a little bit better. It is up, let's click on it one more time, was it 4 .2%, Iota up 4 .1%, Casper continuing to leave the station without DZ on board. Casper, please turn around, hit the brakes, do a U -turn, crash into a ditch, do something, let me pump up a bag, let me fill up a bag of Casper. We have Maker up 3 .4%, Algorand up 2 .6%, so I know AJ's excited about that one. Let's look at the biggest losers, though, the biggest losers of the day in the top 100 crypto market cap here. We have number one, not too much, folks, it's only down 1 .5%, that is nothing for crypto, especially with a gaming slash gambling token like RollBit, followed by Shiba Inu down 0 .7%. But then the graph, the graph is, you know, firmly under a dime, now coming in at $0 .08. I think, you know, it touched around a nickel, even a little bit lower at one point, let's just see, not even that long ago. Get out of here, yeah, yeah, yeah, cookies, something, yeah, whatever, I like them. All right, let's click the one year. Yeah, we got close to a nickel, I think it went below a nickel on some exchanges. But when you look at the 30 -day, it's looking down, but maybe find a little bit of support at this 8 .5%, so it looks like it touched it right there, touched it right there, and still kind of hanging out above it. Do you like the graph? No, I mean, I don't own any of it, so. How do you feel about the graph of the graph right here? I prefer charts to graphs for a trading view, but, you know, it's not worthless to see the charts or the graphs on, was that Core Market Cap or was that Gecko? Oh, this is Gecko. Yeah, they're not worthless, I just, it's easier to see a chart, so. Okay, okay, so you're more of a chart guy, not a graph guy, so you like Magellan, not, I don't know, I don't know my, I don't know where you're going with that one, yeah. I don't know, some sort of worldwide maritime chart person, I mean, Drew, Drew probably knows. Oh, God, they weren't escaping me. Can you look at the stars and know where you're going? Absolutely, that's what they did for thousands of years. It was like the North Star, that's about the extent of my knowledge. Listen, the fact that, do you just know that people were constantly going back and forth from Europe to different places in the United States in a time where all they had was the stars and they kept going at the same place over and over again, those stars worked pretty good. All right, all right, well, you know who's the star of 2021? Some say it was Ethereum. Ethereum, you know, blew up, had huge, huge gains, outsized relative to Bitcoin, but then when it fell, also fell outsized relative to Bitcoin. Well, it looks like ETH is trying to get another ETF on the board here. You know, first, got a lot of companies that started with Bitcoin, and now we have VanEck officially starting the in the coming days. The race for the spot ETF has officially begun after the Chicago board options exchange will ultimately start the clock for an SEC decision. Let's see, they filed these to be listed on CBOE's BZX exchange as the Chicago board options exchange and a pair of tweets. Looks like as opposed to the previously submitted filings, this finally means that the countdown is now in motion. The race is on saying, guys, this is a long, long deadline from now. We're not talking about next month. We're not talking about next week. Talking about March of next year. 3 -2 -3, 3 -2 -3 -2 -4. No, no, 5 -2 -3 -2 -4 there. Keep scrolling, keep scrolling. ARK Invest and 21Shares teamed up to file the S1 of the SEC on the 6th, although VanEck's filing dates back to July of 2021. They were trying to do this years and years ago, but now maybe the SEC might take it seriously. On the 17th, SEC reportedly singled its intention to Ethereum approve futures products while several firms including Grayscale and BlackRock are currently fighting to get the Spot Bitcoin. So we have ETH futures, Spot Bitcoin, and now we have Spot ETF in the process right now. Alright, so what is going to happen though? Some people are saying approval is inevitable. You know what's also inevitable? The fact that you're going to hit the like button in the next three seconds. Hurry, hurry, I'm starting to count down three. You only have two seconds to move the mouse, grab it one. You feel that? Oh my God, it's just a huge wave of relief and awesomeness just crashed over your body. Alright, let's talk about this approval though. Approval is inevitable. SEC Insider primes crypto market for a $15 trillion Bitcoin, Ethereum, and XRP price ETF game changer. These major cryptocurrencies could be headed into one of their biggest ever months. One crypto watcher has said it's going to be crazy. He said it's going to be like a movie, man. Last night was a movie. Now former SEC chair Jay Clayton has said eventual approval of a Spot ETF is inevitable following the SEC punting a decision on the ETF filings from the managers who looked after a combined $15 trillion until October. Looks like he's maybe looking at the fact that they punted the ball. They didn't go for it on fourth down. That's for you, football fan. Maybe because they didn't say no, and they said, I'm going to kick the can down the road. Instead of saying no, he's saying a yes is inevitable. But the signaling of the kicking of the can down the road. But it's not all roses. It's not all balloons and clown faces for Ethereum. There was a hack in this summer reporting. This is the largest fishing hack in history for Ethereum at least. It looks like this crypto whale lost $24 million in staked Ethereum to a fishing attack. Looks like they were transferred into the fully automatic exchange fixed float. Never heard of it. Here we have Joaquin, Joaquin dancing down the stairs. Cryptocurrency whale has fallen victim to a massive fishing attack, losing millions in staked Ether on the liquid staking provider Rocket Pool.

It's 11 .31am. We got AJ on the side. AJ, how are you doing? How was your three -day weekend? It was awesome, actually. I had a really, really good time. Jada's back from the West Coast, and we just kind of hung out, went shopping, got a bunch of groceries, you know, just did the normal, normal, normal weekend. So you spent like $2 ,000, $3 ,000? Nah, like $400, $500. Okay. But it's still, you know... It's still a quarter ETH? Yeah. Still a quarter ETH. But hey, no big deal. Drew, how was your Labor Day weekend? It was real good. Real good. Lots of work, a lot of trees cutting, a lot of things moving. I'm making a road. I'm moving and building in. All right. Guys, we're going to be talking about Solana and the stablecoin, of course. We got some Bitcoin news as well. Also, China dumping. What's happening with that? Jim Cramer just turned bullish on this top 10 altcoin. Guys, we're not kidding. We're going to talk about that as well. Should you start selling? Is it a short? Is it a long? Also, we got some Elon Musk stuff, and also Cassio, huge watch guy, G -Shock, partnering with Matic. That's pretty big news. And we're going to talk about Gala as well. Then we got the X news, and Deasy has crazy, crazy life news, folks. I just posted something up. Some of you who follow me on Instagram or X might see it as well. All right. We're adjusting the camera for AJ. Okay. Okay. AJ, you're just too tall. Just a tall strapping lad. I should try. Should I scoot down? Okay. I'm good. I'm kidding. We're good now. Guys, make sure you're following us on YouTube. We've got a lot of great videos coming out. We're going to keep putting out the awesome stuff. We just got some BNB stuff you're going to want to make sure you follow. Let's get right into the crypto market cap, though. Look at coins, AJ. Look at the number of coins. You see that? So many coins. Let's just stop, everybody. Just stop. No more coins. Of course, we know there's tens of thousands extra besides not listed here. Market cap is down. I kind of want to hit refresh. Just make sure we have that fresh, fresh data because Deasy just turned the market green, folks. That's the power of Deasy. That's the power of you hitting that like button. Now we're coming up 0 .2 % to the upside here. It is 1 .8 trillion, essentially. 24 -hour volume looking pretty good for a Tuesday off a holiday weekend, 45 billion. Bitcoin dominance, 46 .3. Tim is sick. He's working from home. If you watch the Investing Bros, you probably saw him. He was in his basement, his bunker. He had like a towel on his head, a big box of tissues the whole time, but he still brought the alpha, though, for sure. Did he get COVID from Jill Biden? Oh, I hope not. I hope not because he has a baby. Let's hope it's not COVID. It's just normal, human sick, nothing crazy. Yeah, let's just hope it's normal. I think he can fare better as well as the baby better than people in their 80s, though. Gas is really, really low, folks. If you're looking to get into some alts, I will say this. I peeled off, put some back into some ETH this morning. I'm not going to say what, but I did grab some ETH this morning. Peeled off a quarter, quarter ETH, aka AJ's grocery budget there. All right, let's look at the coins in Bitcoin is down 0 .4%. So what does that mean? It means the other coins are going to be picking up the load here. So we have Ethereum. It is up 0 .4%. We have XRP up 0 .2%. Cardano almost up 1%. Dogecoin up 1 .6%. But then Solana kind of taking it home here. It is now 4 .1 % to the upside. Ton coin fell a ton. It is down 6 .4. Polygon also picking up some good news with the watchmaker. You might be g -shocked to see it go up 2 .8%. All right, let's look at the top gainers, everybody.

$400 September 5Th $3 ,000 0 .2 % 4 .1 % $2 ,000 2 .8% Drew Jim Cramer 1 .8 Trillion 45 Billion $500 0 .4% 11 .31Am. 6 .4 Tuesday 46 .3 Tens Of Thousands Jill Biden 1 .6%

A highlight from Salary Transparency: Clarity or Chaos?

"The earlier you think about putting a compensation structure in place, the stronger and healthier your company is because you have consistency, not fairness, consistency. You need to own the philosophy that you believe will drive the kinds of outcomes that you want as a company. There is a top 10 % of your organization that isn't just the best performer, but they're critical. What I mean by critical is if they left tomorrow, something stops working. Ultimately, these laws are forcing companies to put the kind of infrastructure in place that a manager can use as the backstop. Sometimes the back to the matter is we might agree to disagree. Starting in 2016, states started enacting laws requiring employers to post their pay ranges. And now at least 10 states require it, amounting to over a quarter of the U .S. labor force covered by salary transparency legislation. And with these recent landmark changes, many companies are playing catch up. So in this episode, we'll explore how companies are reacting, misunderstandings that exist around these nascent laws, and how companies can best prepare themselves to not just survive but thrive in this new environment. And today we're joined by Shannon Schiltz, operating partner leading A16Z's People Practices team, and Brandon Cherry, partner on the same team. Let's get started. They got together. They had been doing Zooms during the writer's strike, and then they decided, you know what, maybe this should just be a podcast, and we'll give all the money to our staff, and that's just what we're going to do. All of a sudden, it seemed like a great idea. I remember talking to Jimmy about it and thinking, this is a great idea. This will never actually happen. They'll never actually do this. Well, they did it, and you can follow it on Spotify, Strike Force 5. You can get it wherever you get your podcasts. Can't wait to listen to this. Super excited. Those five guys all on a Zoom together, just cracking jokes. I'm ready. So there you go. On this podcast, it's the second annual My Guy Fantasy Draft. Craig Horlbeck, Danny Kelly, Danny Heifetz from The Ringer Fantasy Show. We're going to come on, and we're going to talk about all of our guys that we like, dislike, that we're afraid of in the fantasy football season, and then went to Cleveland to find Garrett Bush, who is kind of a big guy there. I got to say, he's kind of a guy. He's going to tell us what to expect from the Browns, who are the most confusing 2023 team. A lot of that has to do with Deshaun Watson, which Deshaun Watson, are we going to get? How do we feel about Deshaun Watson in 2023, just in general? And where is Cleveland Sports going? What's happened to them this century? All the good, all the bad. And he's going to lay all of it out for us. So this is a really good podcast. Can't wait. First, our friends from Pro Chip. All right, it's the second annual My Guy Fantasy Draft. Our Ringer Fantasy Show guys are here. Danny Kelly, Danny Heifetz, Craig Horlbeck, my rewatchables producer, always nice when he pops on the BS. So we did this last year. We didn't win any awards, but sometimes you don't need to win awards. Sometimes when something's great, when it works, you just kind of know it, and we're going to run it back. Heifetz, you want to explain what this gimmick is? Yeah, it's you text us a bunch of ridiculous categories and then we kind of build an entire show, right? No, it's fun, though. It's just like it's a draft, but it's not a draft. And then it's it's vibes. It's a vibes episode. Yeah, we can agree on this. The concept is like you go into a fantasy draft. We all have the same kind of guides, same kind of rankings, but it doesn't capture the love. It doesn't capture the irrational. I just believe in this guy. It doesn't capture Craig thinking that that Pickens is going to end up being Justin Jefferson this year. There's just some things he already is or fear PTSD from bad draft picks from the past. I actually listened to a lot of the pod we did last year, and it was pretty funny hearing some of the guys we were like completely enamored by that ended up being bust. And then there were some other ones that I was surprised by the accuracy of it. Danny Kelly, can you ever be right in a fantasy draft? Can you ever go perfect? One in a million. It's like picking stocks, you know, if you get one good one, then you're set. Last year, mine was Romandre. I listened to our show last year, too. Feel like I nailed that one. Didn't get some other ones right. So that's, you know, we don't have to re litigate those. But Romandre, I'm calling that one. The take I was proudest of last year was fearing Cooper Cup after the year that he had just not liking the scent of something. This is veteran experience. I've been doing fantasy, I think since like 1989, 1990, something like that. All right. So I'm going to rip through the categories here. And then we're going to go at them one at a time. This is not, it's a draft, but it's not a draft because if we all have the same guy for a category of two of us have it, it's fine. We're okay. Um, the categories are my one true love, the guy that we just liked the most, my crazy pills guy. Do you want to explain the crazy pills thing, Craig? Uh, I think it could go either way, right? It's either you feel like you're taking crazy pills because nobody else likes the guy you like, or it's the other way around where you feel like you're taking crazy pills because everybody likes this guy and you don't understand it at all. So there's a little variance on that one. You can go either way. There's the my I absolutely hate myself for doing this guy, which seems to happen over and over again in fantasy where you go in there, drive like, well, I'm not going to end up with Russell Wilson. Uh, that was the example I used last year. It could be the example you use again this year. I'm not even gonna spend a dollar for Russell Wilson. Then it gets to the 17th round. If you're in a booger eater draft or, you know, you have $5 left for five guys and it's like, ah, Russell Wilson, Sean Payton, and all of a sudden you have Russell Wilson and you have no idea how he ended up on your team. So that is the, my absolutely hate myself for doing this guy. Uh, there's the, I'm going to add this category. It's a little sub category. The I'm staying away from that whole team team. There's teams where you're just like, I'm out, I'm just blind out. I don't want one person from that team. I'll see, we'll see if we agree on that team. Then we have the, my shameless Homer pick guy. That's going to be really, I mean, Craig, you don't even have to go. Uh, although there could be their tickets like plus 500, but I think we know pick is going to be there. There's the, my, I wouldn't take him even if he was free guy. So you're putting them on your D and D do not draft list. I had McCaffrey as my guy for this last year, which looked brilliant for about six weeks. Then he got traded a machine of an offense. We have the, my, that 2022 booty call isn't happening again guy, which is a new category for this year. This is the, you stumbled into somebody in the free agent auction, maybe in November, you wrote them for a couple of weeks, some fond memories, but you know, as a one night stand or, you know, as a three week stand and you're not going back, then we have the, this is a classic one. The somebody's got to get points on that team guy. We just look at all the teams and like, well, I don't know. Everybody scores 300 someone's catching passes on that team. Someone's rushing for 970 yards. There is the, my sorry, I'm sorry. That's too rich for my blood guy where you look at the draft guide and you see some of the salaries next to the guys. Then you go wait at $47. So Najee Harris was my guy for this last year. And I was proud of that one. There's the, my $1 QB guy. You're not, he's not going to make it break a draft, but you're also kind of secretly stashing away in your head. And we all have our $1 QB. There is the, my I'd be afraid to look on Tuesday and see the red flag guy, which I've added this year. I didn't even tell you about this category. You take the guy and it's going great. Eloy Jimenez is the ultimate baseball example of this. It's going great. You're feeling awesome. And then you go on there on a Tuesday and there's the red flag with the yellow box that there's news. And you're just like, Oh no. Oh God, what happened? And there's certain guys who just, it happens every year. A cousin of that, the, my, I know there's a 99 % chance he's getting hurt again, but God damn, I can't resist this guy guy. Then we have the, my Cooper cup. It's a year after the year guy. So I named this category after Cooper cup. So who is it this year? They had their year last year. Don't do it again. Don't get sucked in five more. The my, I just want everyone on that offense. I don't care guy. The my it's a year too early, but fuck it guy. The my missionary position. We've all had him guy. The my, I fell for the preseason hype guy. And then finally the, my I'd never root for an injury, but he is one injury away. That guy. All right. So we're going to start with my one true love. We're going to go and we're going to go on one, two, three, four on the zoom. And then for the second round, then the second guy will go, Danny Kelly, you're up. All right. My one true love. Who is it? I got to go with Tony Pollard for the Cowboys. I'm irrationally in love with this guy. I've been saying it. I think there's nothing you can say. It convinced me that he's not the best player in the NFL. Like, like just pound for pound, the best player in the NFL. Um, you know, last year he finished as the RV seven this year. He's going to be playing, I think more snaps, getting way more opportunities. If he can get up to like the same level of opportunities as Ekeler and CMC, you know, cause he's in that style of runner. I think this guy could finish as a top three running back in the NFL. And so I am, I'm just like full as a gentleman said, full bloom in love with Tony Pollard. I just can't, I can't help it. So in the ringer fantasy guide, he's 13th right now and he's gone for $42 in auction. So you think that's low? Yeah, I would, I would, I actually had Pollard too. Wow. We all have Pollard. Wait, did you too, Krik? I'm scared now. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that's, well, that's, that's, this is a sign that, yeah, this is a terrible sign, but I just, I mean, just to pile on to DK stats here, Zeke had 12 touchdowns last year and Nick and Tony Pollard was a top 10 running back. Like what else do you need to hear? Like every time Tony Pollard was on the field, he was the best running back in the league. And now Zeke's gone. Like I rest my case. This is the pregame show where they all pick the same team to win a football and then that team loses. So you should probably stay away from Tony Pollard. Wait. So all three of you had Tony Pollard for this? Yeah, I can give you some. We did not discuss this before coming on. I didn't expect that. Oh, my God. Talk about groups and Jesus. You know, it's, you know, what sucks about this is that means when I have my big auction draft in a week and all my friends are going to be listening to this. And when Tony Pollard comes up, I'm not going to get them because they're all going to bid them up for $57 if I want to get them. Well, Bill's like, oh my God. Well, here's the argument. Rich Rebar, who works for Warren Sharpe, he's at Sharpe Football Analysis and he is a really good comp, which is basically Melvin Gordon was playing ahead of Austin Eckler for years. And everyone's begging for Austin Eckler to get the job. And then Austin Eckler finally got the job and the charges got rid of Melvin Gordon. And then Austin Eckler still wasn't really a first round pick. And we talked ourselves out of it. We hemmed it on. This is Tony Pollard again. It's like Zeke is finally after five years out of Dallas. And we're like, yeah, any point you get Tony Pollard, that's actually crazy. Like, honestly, you could get him for forty five bucks. Austin Eckler is going to go for 60. Tony Pollard would probably just be better than Austin Eckler this year. I kind of genuinely mean this. Tony Pollard should maybe be the first pick in fantasy football. Right? You can convince me. Kind of genuinely. Well, he does have a great offensive line. There are going to be a couple of games against bad teams where he, you know, you have him on Thanksgiving or something and he puts up the four touchdown hundred and eighty yard game. I can see it. So I guess I'm up then because you guys all agreed. You can have anybody you want. My one true love this year, Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, who I also like for MVP. So. Last year, he missed two games and they also blew out what what was a D .K. like seven, eight team, seven, eight games where they just like in the fourth quarter, they didn't even really have to play offense. They're just kind of running out of the string. Yeah, I don't think their defense is going to be as good this year. Sheila Kapadia on the on the NFL show has been talking about this. I think it's to be better than he thinks, but it won't be as good on it. And their schedule is tougher. But, you know, is it possible that he's like a four thousand one thousand guy with some sort of combination of 40 to D like everyone agrees they have the best offensive line in the league. Everyone agrees the one to A .J. Brown, Devonta Smith punch is way up there. And I'm saying like Schrager on TV this week was saying Devonta Smith, this is the year he jumps up to the chase class. So we have that with Dallas Goddard, who everybody thinks is the best all around tight end in the league, the guy who actually blocks and plays three downs, running backs, whatever. Put anyone behind there and they'll gain 80 yards. And then he's going to get a lot of the goal line carries. I think he's my top QB this year. I think I would take him before everybody else. So I don't even think it's that controversial. What do you think of that one? He is, I think you're right. I think the key point you have there is that he barely played in the fourth quarter last year. That's the key thing. He was already in a per game basis. He was the best quarterback in fantasy last year and he barely played the fourth quarter. Yeah. So you could argue he hasn't even reached the ceiling yet. He's our number one guy on the guide right now, I believe. Shameless plug for fantasyfootball .300 .com. He's our 21st player. We have like all our rankings there. And yeah, he has the highest floor and the highest ceiling. My favorite stat about Jalen Hurts, other than 18 rushing touchdowns in 18 games last year, Jalen Hurts had more games over 30 points than under 20. That's everything you want in a quarterback. Well, so he's number one in our guide, but I still feel like in a draft, Mahomes is going over him because of the Mahomes. It's just the most fun to have Mahomes. The R. And I actually think that's a little nuts this year. DK, Hurts is I think either 12 to 1 or 11 to 1 on FanDuel for MVP. And I think those odds are the most out of whack of all the MVP odds, because that's, if you're going to say the MVP is going to come from an awesome team, they're probably one of the five teams that has a chance to go 13 and 4, 14 and 3, something like that. He, they have the most talent on offense, I think, of any team that's going to be in the MVP conversation and we've seen him get better every year. So why is he 11 to 1, 12 to 1? Shouldn't he be like 6 to 1, 7 to 1? Shouldn't it be where Josh Allen is? I don't, is it just because of the previous like impressions that he was a, what was he a third round pick or second round pick and maybe hold on to that for too long? Or maybe it's just because he's surrounded by such a good team. I don't know. But yeah, like you said, he's improved pretty much every season he's been playing, even going back to college. You know, from everything that we've heard, he is maniacal about like working and leadership and just all the things, all the intangibles. And then, of course, you know, if he takes a jump as a passer this year, you know, that's going to be huge for him because he's already like one of the best running quarterbacks. He's double digit rushing touchdowns in the last two years. You know, everything about him screams just, you know, like the face of the franchise season. He's everything they want. And so I could see it like from a narrative point of view, for sure. It reminds me of what you used to have with Russell Wilson when he was alive.

A highlight from Cardano Will Be The MOST IMPORTANT Altcoin Next Bull Market!

"I do think there's going to be a period where cash is eliminated. In this future utopia, we have flying cars, and there's jet packs, and everything's on a screen. We're not pulling out wadded paper, dropping it on the counter. Everything's going to be digital. Charles Hoxton believes Cardano will become the biggest crypto in the world, serving as a backbone of a new digital nation. I think I caught this speak. Yeah, this was the keynote address. I was in the crowd, folks. I was in the crowd. I was cheering. I was hollering. I was hooping, and then I got dragged out in a headlock. All right, people are scared of decentralized governance because they view it as something that takes away, but I never believe that. I think if you give people the chance to rise up and show who they are, what they can do, they will do amazing things. So that's our challenge, and that is why Cardano, I feel, is probably going to become the biggest cryptocurrency in the world, says Charles Hoskinson. Now, that is a bold statement. Bigger than ETH, bigger than Bitcoin, Nick. I mean, it's not a 0 % chance. What would you put it at, though? Would you put it in single digits? I mean, I would say it's tough to be bigger than Bitcoin. It's already good. It's going to be real tough to be bigger than Ethereum, but if I were to choose on any coin to do it, sorry, XRP. I am choosing Cardano to be that coin. 100 % agree. In my opinion, Bitcoin and Cardano are the only true crypto projects that have stayed to the cypherpunk ethos. I think by value, Cardano won't be able to touch Bitcoin, but by users, for sure. I think there's going to be so many hundreds of millions of people onboarded in Africa, in the Middle East, in Southeast Asia, on Cardano with their NFTs, with their smart contracts, that it's going to blow everything else out of the water. I firmly believe that. All right. All right. And one more quote from Charles here. I think it's going to be more than cryptocurrency. I think it's going to become the backbone of a new digital nation, a new society, a place where we can finally begin to trust each other again, a place where we do all our voting, a place where our money lives, a place where our digital life lives in every dimension and aspect of it, because we deserve that. A decentralized version, not the WF plant version. Oh yeah. You know, here's, oh, you laughed at that joke from the TV too loud. We know what you're laughing at. We're going to deduct your points. You're laughing too loud. That guy felt that was supposed to be a funny moment. Well, he did. And I'm sorry. So yeah, that's, it's essentially, guys, this is a, this is a scary thing I've said before. I'm gonna say it again. I do think there's going to be a period where cash is eliminated and this future utopia, we have flying cars and there's jet packs and everything's on a screen. We're not pulling out wadded paper, dropping it on the counter. Everything's going to be digital. And so do we want the, there are no choices and look, yeah, we just got to pull out our US gov ID or do we want some decentralized options and how do we get decentralized options? We get it with adoption. We get it with building and we get it with just education here. And so I think we really, really press that message. We can make that future because you go to, you don't have to use a credit card. You can use Apple pay. Tim Apple built something big enough where it's going to be, you know, used in a lot of places. I think we could do something similar with Cardano. I say, we, you know, they, you know, shout out to the junkies, but Charles and the team and what they're building and all the wallet makers out there, they're, they're really going to be what can get us to that next level, to that decentralized level. And that is where we all want to be. We don't want to be under the government's control. We don't want to live in 15 minute cities, but that is what they want us to do. All right. Let's talk about the South Korean exchange here. Crypto exchanges are required to hold minimum reserves starting in September. This is pretty big. All right. So they're going to hold a minimum reserve of funds of 3 billion won. Someone in chat might know that is, oh, wait, here we go. It's $2 .26 million. Bury the lead there. The new reserve requirement reportedly protect users in case of unforeseen issues, such as hacking or system failures. We keep going here. Additionally, the financial services commission's financial intelligence unit, whoa, has reportedly prepared a draft for the rules. These regulations come in response to requests from cryptocurrencies and exchanges for clear out clear crypto framework in response said all the Island holders set up to MTG here. All right. And now one more story here, CNBC covering Solana, dropping Bitcoin cash and Litecoin. Now, just the last part of that, they dropped Bitcoin cash. They dropped Litecoin. How do you feel about that? I don't care. They'll bring it back. All right. Well, if they were going to drop that, who would you want to replace it? Cardano. Okay. Okay. All right. All right. Nick might like Cardano folks. I mean, yeah. I mean, it's the most relevant. It's making the most moves. It has the biggest footprint outside of those other things. I mean, I'm sorry, Litecoin. Sorry. People would like XRP. There's probably some people, you know, I'm surprised they went with Solana polygon, you know, what they're doing with Starbucks and Reddit and so many other big brands, you know, I wouldn't, I wouldn't be surprised to see Matic or ADA up there. I think, you know, it might've been a better choice than Solana. Nothing. I have some Solana none against that team, but anybody got a Solana phone? It was like six people a day. All right. CNBC, one of the world's largest cable news networks providing real -time financial markets coverage has dropped Bitcoin cash and Litecoin and replace them with Solana. Meanwhile, they'll continue to cover news related to Bitcoin and need two of the most, you know, most valuable crypto platforms. We go here subsequently, Bitcoin cash and Litecoin are no longer in the top 10 by market cap and have emerging smart contracts and transactional networks that have taken positions in recent years. Litecoin and Bitcoin cash have a market cap of around 4 .8 billion and 3 .7 billion and are among the top 20 still coming in at 16th and 18th. I did not know Litecoin fell all the way almost to 20 there. Let's see. Let's go here. There you go. This is going to miss a coin or two. All right. So we go. Yeah. Litecoin coming in at 16 and then Bitcoin cash now coming in at 19 battling, battling this 3 .7 to $3 .8 billion market cap there. So Bitcoin cash fell 2 .8. Now dropping to 19. Looks like they're going to be out of the top 20. I would say out of the top 20 by the next bull run, then retail will buy a lot because there's still a lot of apps that have Bitcoin cash. So you're going to have retail. They're going to hear about Bitcoin. They're going to download Robinhood. They're going to see Bitcoin's $50 ,000, and they're going to see something with the same name that is $500. Oh, I'm just, why would I buy the one that's $50 ,000? I'm gonna buy the one that's $500. That's where the opportunity is. We're going to have a lot of that. And so I would expect it to, you know, maybe it'll drop and then it'll surge back. I don't know when it will surge back though.

My guest today is Yves Larose. Yves is the CEO of the EOS Foundation and well, we're going to learn a whole lot of stuff about the state of EOS, where it is all at today, and I think there's no better person to talk to to learn about all this than Yves himself. Welcome to the show, Yves. Welcome. Thank you for having me on, Andy. I'm looking forward to talk about EOS today. Yeah, me too. So look, to begin with, Yves, I suppose let's do what we do at the beginning of the show and I'll invite you to please introduce yourself. I'd love to just hear a little bit about your personal story and what led you to really, I suppose, getting involved with EOS and becoming CEO of the foundation. Sure. I got into blockchain really early on, very shortly after the Bitcoin whitepaper, so many, many years ago, and I kind of fell out of touch with the space. I was mining. I was mining Bitcoin at the time, and when the ASICs miners were rumoured to come about, they weren't out yet, people were able to pre -order them, they were delayed for people receiving them, but at that time, I just saw a shift happen whereby individuals would no longer really be able to be involved in the way that they had before, and that kind of decentralization aspect to it was I was seeing was going to be removed as you'd have these mega mining farms come about, and that's really when I got out of this space, but I came back in around 2016 and then really jumped in 2017, and that's when I came back in full -time essentially, and I launched a block producer on EOS. That's what attracted my attention at first. It was the EOS blockchain, generation three, letter one blockchains, promising scalability, promising this idea of mass adoption, that the technology was now ready to be able to be used, and that's really what attracted me to EOS in the first place, and that's what got me back into the space originally was this idea that people again would be able to be participants in the network in meaningful ways as kind of that promise originally that attracted me all the way back in 2009. Very good, thank you, Eve, and I remember back in those days, I guess 2017, 2018, which is around about where I began to take an interest in what was happening in the crypto markets, many listeners I'm sure will have a familiar story, and obviously the ICO boom was happening at the time, and of course, EOS actually was, I believe, one of, if not the largest ICOs of that time. I think they raised over 4 billion in the biggest initial coin offering of its era, and 4 billion, obviously, a staggering amount of money. Now, look, at the time, EOS was kind of riding high as this competitive Ethereum and had this reputation as Ethereum on steroids. I suppose that's why there was so much interest in the ICO and why so many people were fans of the platform and its promise. Now, this is a long time ago, Eve, of course, and a lot has happened since then. And if I'm honest, I'm only very vaguely aware of kind of the political machinations that have taken place since then, but that's really why you're here to kind of bring us up to date with what has gone on. And I suppose even more importantly, what is happening now, because while some people may have just assumed that EOS had kind of faded away and was a dead coin, a dead community, nothing much happening, that is not actually the case. So I don't know if that's kind of the context from me. Where do you want to jump in and begin to just start to bring people up to date, Eve? Sure. I mean, I'm sure a lot of your listeners and a lot of people out there in general echo the sentiment that you just shared. They know of the ICO. They know 2017, 2018, crazy years for crypto. And then they know of kind of the fade out and they don't know anything since. So I think addressing that and actually talking about that is a good starting point. So you're right. The ICO was the largest ICO. It's still to this date the largest ICO, and it attracted a lot of people in the crypto space at the time. If you go back and ask, the majority of people had heard of EOS, many of them had participated in the ICO for EOS, and there was a lot of expectations on what EOS would do. It was one of the first, if not the first generation three layer one blockchains. It was promising scalability, and there was some heavy hitters behind it in terms of the tech and what they'd be able to accomplish. And that clearly played a role in its early success. And I think a big part of it as well was that the founders at the time, with the money that they were raising and the money that they had raised by then, they were committing a significant portion. The majority of it back into the ecosystem in terms of investments. And we look at that now in 2023, many of the later coins that launched were backed by VCs or were backed by some prominent firms. And they were part of that model of reinvesting into developing the ecosystem itself when the network launch is pretty bare. There's very little tools, very little applications, but this concept of having a body that can redeploy capital to accelerate that early growth for those components that we know are required or at least are helpful to generate and to create and nurture an ecosystem. Having that external capital that's promised, that's committed to it is a key point of that. And unfortunately for EOS, that did not happen. So the money from the ICO race did not go to the ICO community. It was left in the hands of a private entity. And that private entity did not reinvest. And so you essentially have this community that was somewhat at the loss because they had all these expectations on their shoulders. They didn't have any capital. They didn't really have a means of assembling themselves. And the coin and the rest of the market essentially kind of caught up to it. And so you had a really a period of about two and a half, three years or so where EOS was very similar to what you're saying, where it was in a way a dead coin or a dead community. There were clearly some people still there. I was there throughout and there were others there as well. But in general, compared to the hype, compared to the fanfare of 2017, 2018, a lot of that had gone away. And a big part of that, like I mentioned, is just due to the lack of resources. You have this community, these developers that essentially gave all of their money up in the ICO and thought that there would be this idea of a centralized body that would be able to redeploy that capital, but in more effective ways. And that never materialized. So not only do they not have any capital, they don't have any means to be able to go get that capital back. And that period of time was very, very difficult at a time where competitors are also coming up and they're catching up on the tech advances that EOS had at the very beginning, although EOS still remains the fastest, most scalable blockchain. There are other components to make a thriving ecosystem that are as important, if not more important, and we're not present during that period of time. That's right. And so even be useful, then, you talked about the, I suppose, the entity that organized and ran the ICO. And as I understand it, that was block one, which at one time, if not founded or headed, Brock Pierce is the personality that people will remember as being associated with block one. So if block one has essentially acquired 4 billion in capital from the EOS ICO race, and you say that they said the intention was to over time reinvest that back into the ecosystem in a smart and sustainable way, but it seems like that didn't happen. So maybe you can give us your perspective on what block one instead did and where they are today, just as context before we come back to where EOS is at. This will be interesting. So I really can't comment on where they are today. What I do know is that if you wake up one morning, you suddenly have $4 billion. I would imagine that it likely changes what you imagine you're going to do when you wake up in the morning going forward. And as much as you may have said that you were going to commit and or had made promises of recommitting those funds, once you're sitting on that treasury, things become very real and things become very different. So I don't know what changed internally as to why they would not follow through on that, because I think they had this massive community behind them. They had an amazing product that they have built. Really, the sky was the limit for them. So why didn't they continue? That's a really good question that they'll have to answer. There's currently a class action lawsuit that has been ongoing for years that they're attempting to settle. There are a few other options out there on the table for EOS token holders, but essentially the founders of block one said one thing and they ultimately ended up doing something else. And the EOS community leveraging the tool itself, leveraging the blockchain itself, have rallied together. And since the formation of the ENF and even prior to that, essentially been taking steps to hold block one to account because as much as this is new, uncharted territory that the space itself is quite nascent, accountability still remains par for the course. And when entities such as this raise that amount of capital, there does come certain responsibilities attached to that, regardless of whether you have a written contract or not. Your words, what you say, what you do in order to accumulate that capital definitely matters a lot in the long term. And so as much as we don't know why they didn't do what they said they were going to do, the community is trying to hold them to account to make sure that this never happens to anybody else again. And would you say as block one, as Brock Pierce, are they still generally perhaps from a distance supportive of EOS and its vision, its community and its token, or are they trying to pretend that they were never around? I think it's somewhere in between. I wouldn't say that they're supportive. I would say that for a long time now, for a period of time, they would say that they were supportive, but the actions really didn't match the words and that expanded for quite some time. And once it became very apparent where as much as you want to at some point, it could be subjective that they were supporting, but at some point it became very tangible that they were not. In large part, that's where the GitHub repository account comes in because it became very clear that there was no longer any commits to it. It was night and day. It was on or off. You can't really hide from that. Outside of that, though, in terms of support, we've heard a lot of, you know, soon, it's coming soon. We'll do this. We'll do that. And it never came. And so when the community took matters in its own hands, they essentially fired block one. They essentially, and there's a lot of shenanigans that went around that time as well between Brock and block one because Brock had left Brock one at the time. A lot of shenanigans on trying to take some of the tokens that were still on chain to allocate them to Brock and block one did not own those tokens, so they weren't in their rights to be able to do so. But that was very early on in the years of ENF when the ENF essentially fired block one and made sure that those tokens would not, again, go into the hands of known entities that clearly didn't have Yoss's best interests at heart. But where they are today, what they're doing, you know, your guess is as good as mine. And look, it's a problem or a story that we've seen told time and time again in the crypto space, Eve. And it really speaks to, I suppose, you know, philosophically the weakness of humans, if you like, who were susceptible to greed and pride and you name any kind of human emotion. And on one sense, you know, that is the ethos of blockchain is kind of exists to try and take some of those problems out of the picture. But it's just early, early, early, messy days and we're not quite there yet. Correct. Yes, I think you're right on that. It's funny how if you go back to 2009, part of why Bitcoin wouldn't say it was invented, there are multiple reasons why that kind of came about or their theories in a way. But definitely at that time, if you go back to the 2008 crash, you go 2009, the 99 % versus 1%, a big part of this underlying technology and communities coming together was to take the power back from greedy corporations. And essentially EOS, again, kind of becomes that emblem, that beacon for what happens when corporate greed takes over. But as well, at the same time, when the EOS community took over, launched the ENF and essentially fired block one that also gave a lot of hope as to what this tool, this power, that this technology can do in the hands of the people where people can actually take things back, take the power back in a way that isn't necessarily possible in our traditional space because everything on blockchain makes it a little bit easier to organize, a little bit easier to kind of remove that layer of trust to find out whether or not people are token holders, whether or not they do have skin in the game. The tool itself, the technology itself is quite key for us to be able to take this back and to lead it forward, essentially. And that's something that would not have been traditionally, I'm not saying easy to do, I'm not even sure if it would have been possible to do in a traditional space. And so blockchain, very nascent, very new, but we're already starting to see what you can do with the tool, the underlying tool outside of the tokens, outside of the other use cases. Yeah, absolutely. All right, Eve, let's learn a little bit more about the EOS Network Foundation then, which is obviously close to your heart. I think you're the CEO. So, I mean, obviously, I guess we understand that the role of the foundation is to protect the interests of the EOS community and the EOS network and try and advance the network technologically and philosophically. But yeah, just expand on that and tell us what your work involves and what your goals are. Sure. So when the foundation was launched, one of the things that it was trying to address was that looking at other blockchains, especially the layer ones, big ecosystems, they have this centralized body that helps coordinate the flow of information. But it's essentially somewhat of a steward or a shepherd for the network. In our case, because the ENF wasn't created upon launch, it's, I believe, the only foundation that was appointed and created by the community years after the network launch. We created accountability mechanisms within the foundation and in the way that it receives the funding and the way that it essentially deploys that capital. And ultimately, what it was created to do was to fill that gap, to fill that void of having an entity that had a larger sums of capital that could coordinate on the behalf of the network, for example, with exchanges or with government bodies, with regulators, that type of thing. So when the regulators or when an exchange, they want to talk to one body, they want to talk to one person. When you have a network that's decentralized, just like EOS or like Ethereum, like Bitcoin, which nodes do you talk to? Which one, you know, who represents the network? That's why foundations are quite key. And so that was one of our primary goals. And since then, what we've been able to do, I mean, a big part of the job of ENF is really to reach out to the stakeholders, to the token holders, to the application developers, to the business operating on the network and find out what are they doing? What are they using the product for? And what are they needing? What's not there yet? Or what are the trends? What's coming along? And so it's this share of information, this constant input into the ENF of information and output in terms of that capital deployment, in terms of tools, et cetera, protocol features. And this is really at the core of what we started off doing when we created. And since there, in the last two years, then it's expanded to obviously have more functions outside of this. But generally at the base, that's what it is. It really is to enable businesses, developers and individuals to build on the EOS network. Yeah. And I understand then I've seen the EOS Network Foundation, you've announced a major consensus upgrade Antelope Leap 5 .0, which I believe is scheduled for launch Q4 this year. So Antelope Leap, Yves, what was involved here? Sure. So part of the ENF coming in was also that rebrand. So if we go back to this topic or the subject of Block .1 and the dead years of the EOS for a period of time, one of the things that the EOS community didn't even have was access to its own repo. So the code repo belonged to Block .1, all the assets, the icons, et cetera, all belong to Block .1. And so what the community did and what I led alongside other chains that are also using the same underlying software stack is we created Antelope. We essentially took over the code repo, added functionality to it, cleaned up a lot of what was left standing over the last remaining years prior to that, and we created Antelope. It's essentially the software stack that used to be EOSIO, was rebranded to Antelope, a lot of new features and a lot of new functions within it. So that's the base Antelope. Now with Antelope, because now we're the owners of the community, essentially it's open source, so there's no owner, but in a way we're the owners of the software, we're the maintainers, the developers, we've committed to and we've been withholding that commitment from the very beginning where we typically do a spring release that is a little bit easier. Not everybody needs to upgrade it, add some functionality, some speed, some really cool features to the software stack, and every fall or so we do breaking changes. We do consensus upgrades. And the next one coming up that you just mentioned, Leap 5 .0, it's our latest consensus upgrade that we'll be doing. We did one last September, September, October of last year. This one is quite big because this one will fundamentally change the consensus algorithm at the base of EOS, whereas right now it's DPOS, it's Delegated Proof of Stake. This will move it to something that's more in line with what Hot Stuff is, and the Hot Stuff was used by Facebook for their Libra project that never ended up launching. But that consensus algorithm is very powerful, and that's what we're switching to, and that'll open up a whole new world of possibilities in the way that consensus is currently reached on EOS, splitting that up within multiple roles if we want to, and then adding a number of validators that's just not currently possible at the same time of reducing finality that currently stands at around 180 seconds, so about three minutes, down to within a few seconds, between one to four seconds or so. So it's a major technological upgrade that's coming up, but also opens the door to governance change possibilities in the future as well. Hey, very nicely said, Yves. Look, it sounds great. What would you say to anyone in the EOS community? I'm sure the real community stalwarts, if you like, are probably deep in the weeds already, and they know all this stuff, but maybe for people who aren't quite up to speed with where the project is at, maybe they had some EOS tokens back in the day. Maybe they're still holding some, hoping for a revival, or for people listening to this and they're trying to get a sense of, man, this sounds good. Can Yves bring EOS back from, I don't know where you are on the market cap table, but from, as a top 10 coin, can you make it back to the top 10? Just give us a sense of where you'd like to take EOS again and what people should look for. That's a good segue. I mean, we used to be top 10, we're currently roughly, we flow between 40s and 50s, but the goal is definitely to be back into the top 10. And that's a huge challenge. Nobody's ever been able to pull that off as far as we know. And so if you do have EOS tokens, or if you're interested in the EOS blockchain, there's definitely a lot of activity going on. There's a lot of progress, a lot of applications developing, a lot of applications migrating over from other chains onto EOS. And that original dream that we had with EOS, or that I know part of what sold me to EOS was this idea of scalability, this idea of mass adoption. And in the space in general, as a whole right now, we've not really seen anything that can be considered mass adoption. And this is where EOS really shines. And with the functions that we're adding at the end of the year, we're still pushing towards that. So this idea is that EOS was always the most scalable, the most powerful, the fastest, most reliable blockchain. That was the goal. That still remains the case. And to this date, it still is the only blockchain that's ever accomplished more than 100 million transactions per day, consistent for months on end. 124, 125 was our peak. Putting that in perspective, that was more every single day than Bitcoin and Ethereum for an entire year. So EOS is really made, and to this date, that's still the case, added an extremely cheap or very low cost all while being reliable. So the network hasn't gone down and it's essentially been 100 % uptime since June 2018. So that's five years and counting. Part of what is attracting or what we're positioning ourselves for is we believe that at some point there's going to be another bull market. And at some point there's going to be an application or a type of application or some kind of a use case that is going to open the floodgates onto crypto from mainstream stakeholders. And they'll need a home where they are, and developers will need a home where they can deploy their applications and everybody can actually start leveraging using this technology. And very few people are capable of doing that. Very few networks will be able to host that. And we're still working towards being able to do that. And it's a huge challenge. So to be able to process hundreds of millions of transactions per day reliably at a marginal, basically low cost, negligible cost is a huge, huge, huge feat. So everything we do, we've been continuing down that path, positioning ourselves for when that moment comes. We got a glimpse of this with GameFi last year with some play to earn games. We started seeing volume that was much higher than normal from regular adoption. Now we've seen that died out again with the current bear, but we're hoping to see that and more come back out again with the next bull. And yes, we'll be ready for it.

A highlight from Crypto's Top 10 For The Past 10 Years

"Now that we're less than a year away from Bitcoin halving, people are accumulating crypto, and the question always is, what coins are going to break into the top 10? With that said, should you go with the coins that were previously in the top 10? Or coins that have potential to break into it for the first time? It got me sinking as I started digging into some interesting statistics about the survival rate of coins inside the top 10. It's time to take a deep dive into the past decade of crypto. Let's get it. Welcome to BitBoy Crypto! My name is Ben. In this video, we're going to be looking at the top 10 coins over the past 10 years and figure out what the odds are for a coin to stay inside the top 10. It's a very interesting idea because when I first dug into this, some coins came up that I almost forgot about. I've been in crypto for 11 years. Things that used to be top 10 back in the day don't even exist anymore. So many of these coins that used to be important are nonexistent. And now that space is more competitive than ever, will the same crypto apocalypse repeat itself again? And also, can we look for brand new projects to break into the top 10? I don't know. Maybe I digress. But, for example, if we look at the top 10 from 2013, which is on your screen right here, right away, the first thing you notice is that only two coins from this list are still in the top 10 now. Those coins are XRP and Bitcoin. But to be fair to Litecoin, it's in 11th place as of right now if you don't count stablecoins. Anyway, in 10 years of crypto, only two coins withstood the test of time in the top 10. It's 20 % survival rate or an 80 % turnover rate, however you want to look at it. Pretty scary if you think about it, especially if you're thinking about 2033. The goal of this video is to figure out the average turnover rate year by year. And with that said, for the sake of argument, stablecoins will not be included in any of these lists. We removed them. Also, for the record, all of these numbers are pulled from the last week of December in each year. Now, before we get this rolling, be sure to become a member of the BitSquad by liking, subscribing and ringing that bell for notifications. Also, thank you to Stake for sponsoring this video. Okay, so here, we're again at the top 10 from 2013. Who remembers Peercoin? I do. Let me know in the chat how bad your Peercoin was. Some of you may think Peercoin was about building the biggest dock. But it wasn't. All jokes aside, here's the top 10 for 2014. As you can see, Omni, the company behind Tether, Namecoin, Quark, BitShares and Worldcoin, all didn't make it into the next year as coins like Stellar and DOGE showed up for the first time. So that's about a 50 % turnover for the first year. Also, my point here is that for the most part, once a coin leaves the top 10, even if it pops back in there for a year or two, their survival rate for those projects as a whole is not very high at all. Keep that in mind as we keep moving. Now, let's look from 2014 to 2015. As you can see, Paycoin that was ranked No. 3 by Market Cap the year before got wiped off the face of the earth, and lost NXT its spot in the top 10 as well. With those wins on their way out, Dash showed up for the first time and made Safecoin still held strong in 10th place. Actually, coin, I think it's still around, believe it or not. The highlight of this year though is that Vitalik and Ethereum entered the chat, beginning their permanent residency inside the top 10. To my surprise, for 2015, we only have a 20 % turnover rate. So let's check out between 2015 and 2016, and this is where things really start to get interesting. As you can see, BitShares, the Dan Lehrmer project, and Peercoin go away and never come back. Now, let's take a moment of silence for your Peercoin bags.

Both Bitcoin, down 11%, and Ethereum, down 9 .1%, showed relative resilience as the two largest protocols by market cap are currently in the top fifth of CMI constituents this week. The culture and entertainment sector, which contains digital assets associated with media, social, and gaming platforms, was a relative laggard. 80 % of the 33 assets in the sector are down more than 10 % this week, including Blur, down 27%, Apecoin, down 21%, and The Sandbox, down 18%. Apn gretzky so. I'm just. I'm just thinking of phelps fails to me three gold medal or of your more of a great than common etch from yes. The yet meets bradman. I'm not sure where that sits where that sits above fell. I think across a game of coarser. A spall i would probably have bradman above phelps then show and then nobody full low move gretzky. Ap lewis center just miss out so let me read them all and there's always going to be it's going to be when they all the all the greatest within this sport but comparison so much these so.

"In the game of rugby. Who could be a greatest of all time. Lots of llosa try. Scores love supplies. The of you know had good career as the rest of it. It's a tough tough. Isn't it with a team gain to get the greatest of all time warmed squad jonah. Lomu as we discussed in your leg now made when i first saw just went out on a minute. This bloke's quite a different guy. Just amazing as you say has been of not not a freak but you have to pay. It was just yeah. I've never seen this happened before i remember. We'll call in calling him a freak. When he was interviewed after that semifinal win joan run over everybody. And also when you when you're playing computer games sporting computes again. Not only was the game named after joan lomu but when you were playing against joan malone with his character was twice the size of everybody else's character and i think a little bit like or lucky swallowed a gold coin or something but i i can't say i can't think of jonny wilkinson you've got dan carter yet that right plas- gripe players but did they genuinely shift the dial of the game across the world to say nobody can stop this guy dan. Carter is a great player. Scored low points oded jonny wilkinson but journal. Yeah mean if rugby was gonna be on the list. I would have to say is going to be joan because of what he brought to the game at the now. Let's see whether he'll make on a top ten or not at the moment. We've not definite of ali. Phelps arena and tiger. Let's start trion with lows four down to one two three four before we even start debating. The rest only will number one for me. I got beeped. There are also people out there who are undefeated as boxes not necessarily the whole profile. And you know. Have you everything that comes with as you say Having our labianca remember the head waking me three in the morning you to watch ali fraser and everything. It was just epic staff. But i made he having a with you with ali. I mean he just. He was just fantastic. Bobby he he did get pregnant. Who he was he was up against was just awesome as well. I mean they would they could have been. They were legends but would have been throwing my with highs in fact put the cat amongst the pigeons. Go get me covid. Only ease alleged. Avoid you all some really good points is because you have. We got whisked away by the pr and the romance and the brilliant stories that early created. We did transplant. The spore is a lot of people that love our later. Have nothing to do with boxing. Don't know anything about boxing. Is he going up against. We've mentioned ebb. Woods is all based on success. Phelps you've mentioned about all the medals serena with record ready to be broken cost topping in. I'll be tempted. Them for an is not massive spoke at a are following. I bought the With michael phelps would phelps being known worldwide ahead of serene tiger and ali will know but then we young Shifty of shifted now of shifted about. Hold on a minute. This bloke. Absolutely wiped the floor with everyone for ages heavy olympics..

"Had a really good insight into the relationship was three without us. See i would always say. I'd love to roger federer at great stool tom. We've always called him. The is nicknamed the goat. But now that raffles up level with him on twenty seventy think who will end up the graceful time. So i didn't feel comfortable putting one ahead of the other at the moment because knows how many ten eleven twelve thirteen one to thirteen thirteen french. I well again. If we're talking about who transcends the sport. I think that roger and rafa are so famous you know off the court as much as not so much novak although he will probably end up with more grand slams than either of them. It's just tricky. I mean i. I would put them. Maybe in a different category. I think women's tennis men's tennis is is a different sport. So i would consider maybe roger refer another one. Oh what about your boat. No he he quit as the system. He quit twenty five beyond you know. He said he couldn't twenty-five walked away. Didn't hated the fame. Two two hundred girls sitting outside his hotel room and found that stressful album of air out out to make a pair of trainers did go into the independent business after. Let's throw a few more sports at you in a few names that you want about. Michael phelps how can we know in thorpe michael. I'd still go with michael michael. Sally minks metals across the board as well. Was it evidently butterfly evid. Sometimes you got to think about. If if they're at advisory was on this call you know how are they going to argue that cohen. I can't imagine any swimmer ever coming on. The paul and zion always felt yet evidence yet. Rockefeller she's cost irony. I think so i think. Tell me what i think. something like. Twenty eight medals olympic medals. Something like twenty three of them were gold coming grady. Any formula one formula one but it'd be living schumacher schumer and senator hansen center for things. One though on the lewis he's gonna be doing. His name is is coming up to beat in Ozzy were debating shula level. So what we talking about his answers. Well so that cena cena for me. Our made token about races but lewis was a rice. It wasn't giving give me give lewis a any circuit but if it was damp when they really up against it in the skills need to be to the max people are going to go. He's gonna win that race. All diallo then are we. Are we getting into the same with the jockeys you are you talking about the horses all the cars that your yes. That s individual does that come into. Yeah i think it's quite as ambitious the right word. I know you're my my dictionary. Go we all struggle. That's why i think about you know about racism in the us the best racer and they add an icon of all. Do go back to edson. You're not talking about the cars necessarily. You didn't necessarily wasn't the best call. Was i mean they may not make the top ten. I mean we can keep senate lewis and schumacher and think about that as we go. Because we've we've got. We think of muhammad ali definitely and we doing phelps definitely with the most decorated. Yes so at least. We've gone to not necessarily in that order. You happy for me to put serena in. Yes woods in and okay. I wasn't sure whether you know his autograph with nicholas was going to sway. Mvp so we've got four..

Shoes all the way anyone who puts ova paragon shoes before. They've what the gold as garvey. Good okay we'll keep. We'll keep netflix. And what about football. Let's think of football immediately as bring donna yet. Renaldo grenell a messier. Don't best george best. Who i mean without winning the world cup can you. Can you be great without winning. The world cup Actually one son. no. I'm just using that because renaldo renou is one of the year rose neighbor hasn't won the world cup. So y- is economically. I think just talking about the effect so there as well. I mean i remember. Pele that brasilia strip. You know that gold and ally blue and it was just a different. Y of playing. Football wasn't in a main unite. The pass in the movement. I just use a straw around backpack bank bang. You know it was amazing to watch yet penny would be followed off. I think it'll be a generational thing as well wounded because the youngsters will have our watching far more of you know the the magic of messy and and the skill of rinaldo and all of that for me. I think i'd be siding towards pele. A wise what. What makes you. What makes you say palo just because of the person and what he's done within the sport unit of the support and everything that he's given since you know the person that he's being senses will a lot of people who say lock people were say maradona's yeah. Yeah a lot of people. They're going to say that purely purely on football obviously because of this controversy that this sort of followed him around in his life whereas right pele isn't necessarily had that bombing. He saw my of the club. Sue these single-handed low. That was even hard choice of words..

There suit may have a little disagreement in this one but phil. We'll let you stop. I got one for me straight off the bat. Literally don bradman okay. Don't bradman in cricket. Don't brandman i was. I was just expect you to say muhammad ali for some reason. But that's fine or we'll just going for cricket. Yes it's it's roughly. What about a dog. Bradman averaged nearly a hundred ninety nine point something or other all these guys nowadays arrive rigid. You know the best in the world's a ravaged sore certainly high fifties round that kind of area so it's almost twice as many as the likes of ted. Don't know easy. Yeah well we'll see necessarily the you can put things in errors of your rockets. What you're up against. What the bats would little eagle three hundred a day or something somewhere in other legs out. You know. Just just just to get things moving. He has averaged virtually twice as much as anyone who has ever played the game. I mean that's just a credible as got cricket guru yes. I'm pretty comfortable with that dome. Bradman homemade kroenke. How could you surpass that if anyone they averaged one hundred that's anyway can be back brandon. I'm i'm though saying. These is not a great of cricket. Yeah but this. The list is long of bradman. Ask people in other sports moon exactly. So let's think of who the definite answer doors. Who would be a definite on your list. Michael jordan okay. Oh yeah quite show. He would be on minus well revolutionized the game as well out of physical happy about myself. That shouts office overseas. Like doing this show your turn. Tough curability won't say we've already had earlier. We so you throw us okay. Then you sane. Bolt albert carl lewis. I think lewis michael johnson. Ed who says is also. "All right. So this is Tell me how to say this. i'm going to get. This is my name but in french. The based on the two thousand and one french film of the same name. And that is philip. Assu in the title role better known as elisa in hamilton in the original cast. In fact she was also the original natasha in the tasha great comet of eighteen twelve. So i i love philip. The su so pretty much. Anything that Unbelievable the show that she left hamilton to do so anything that she's in i will give it a chance I know very little about this. Means go. But i like what i've heard of it May actually do have the soundtrack. I just haven't had a chance to listen to it fully. But i love this song. That's brain right now so Why why this is on your list. I love this song to think. This is the one that really drew me into the show. very quirky show. So you're not familiar with the movie. Which i wasn't really i sort of knew of it. I had seen a few scenes. But i had. I still haven't seen the whole thing. It's about a young woman named land and she's a fairly ordinary young woman Has she's very introverted. She has kind of a quirky personality but she has a very big heart. End just wants nick. People happy and she kind of makes it her mission to become like a fairy godmother at providence. Do try to do randoms of kindness. But they're not really random she is. She's getting to know she will like try to pinpoint very specific needs that she sees people have and try to find very creative ways of filling those needs she really struggles to find her own happily. Ever after and the show has kind of a cinderella. It's kind of like a spin on the cinderella story. Like i'm really cast herself in the fairy godmother role but then she ends up being the one who is some pursuing and being pursued by the equally quirky young man and trying to figure out if she's able to have her own happily ever after after trying to find help so many people find there's of it's so it's really sweet and Quirky and just. It's a fun show. And the fact that it has this fairytale sort of fairytale esque plot but is very much grounded in the real world like there's no magical elements about ordinary people who were waivers and retail workers and widowers and service. People living normal lives it. Kind of it gives me hope that like. Maybe there's a little magic in store for all of us ordinary folks just muddling through. It's it's a fun musical. From what i've heard i've heard other science and i really like it so i need to delve deep into this one. So thank you so much for sharing this one. This one listened some relatives. The broadway and london productions because the the u. k. Production is like almost a completely different show and they will like. There's definitely similarities. But then they have a very different. Feel and i'd be interested to know which one you prefer. I will listen to. Because i obviously talk to our friend. Jackie about my preferences of haiti's down. So i will always have opinions about things. Okay my number four.

I'm going to be using all your years of on a question of sport and all the knowledge that you gained across all sports to come up with the ultimate top ten list for all sorts of different sporting topics that can be from top. Ten champions league moments taught in sporting upsets top ten six nations legends. Map would you like that one. What i'm but go at it in twelve and phil. What about topped in english. Left-arm spinner the nineties about that little bit left office spin. That's my parker. Moreover that one might be an error. But what topics would you look forward to. What are you. What are your favorite sports to get stuck into football like a little bit of foot white night the sorts of the things that the rivalries and that kind of stuff or meltdowns or something. Now something a little bit of the wall and close to home with you feel meltdown. Rugby tougher lovely rugby. Yes lovely look for the six nations while if there is. What do you think you to. We're going to agree on these lists because you've got to come up with them together. I mean there's going to be the trickier and of course with you in the hot seat so usually your quite ambivalent about these things. But i've got feeling this is going to be a forum for you to give us some opinions. We're going to agree on too much but we'll have a good time long away. Usually i'll just agree with doors anyway. But i think i might be my own man during this. Well hopefully we will have a wonderful year of sport coming up. We certainly have our fingers crossed for that. Fill a big year for cricket yet huge year for cricket we got the world cup t twenty. She's of course the hundreds going to be starting off as well so yet we have a packed. If this old cracks on and we get to july and august the sport is coming thick and fast because no only we go rugby. It doesn't get bigger than the olympics. The olympics is in town in japan and the heroes. The list goes on and on and on and neither of you mentioned wimbledon. That's not a great start. "There's no way she played anymore because they're never going. They're not going to release it so not getting any way. You can think it's a quote on the back of the box. Your salad goes bible. No one's got b.'s. He has a good game. It you played it before. I think i own it somewhere is the other is the other is the answer. I'm looking for no. I take it. I played it. I don't know that okay. You're missing out. And i had the perfect dark game boy color game but i don't know in do either of them because this game has gas at one point where you you can't breathe so won't out well. Yeah we discussed yesterday. We'll be back next week or in this case a week a couple of week ago too when you hear this and adam what is your number. My number five is fire pro wrestling. For the gameboy advance man. I always wanted to check out this series. It's the steering. The series has stayed the same the same concept it honestly the graphics. You just get more rounded unless jaggi but you have so much customization availability. You can create any wrestler ever imagined. the moves. Close it you have the ability to do it. It's overwhelming at times trying to a character. It plays really weird kind of like a an isometric top down and you have to watch your stamina at any point you can do any kind of move you want you know if you wanna go out and try to throughout your finisher right in the beginning you can. You don't need to build up for it. It's a signed to a button bite. You know you gotta work on down. You got to watch how you're running and you have to lay down and breathe. You can also hold back on your tax so that way when you're hitting an opponent the don't hurt him as much but it gets the crowd entertained match and that goes into the aspect of wrestling you know..

It's a handle game that's played on the phone Okay that's not what i expected. I figured out. And what's gonna be the wild card in this. Like i guess probably a few you mike specs and like no minor out there. But they're all everyone's can big. Oh yeah yeah yeah. Adam was like super sane where you're letting there as you were saying where he is now. It's accurate yes. And what is your eighth pick. My pick is phoenix right. As attorney trials and tribulations the third one which i almost cheated again and put the trilogy that released on three d. s. which has all three of them but i like trials and tribulations as the best story because the main story runs across multiple cases and in the has like the best finale in the series as it wraps a and i'm not gonna get too much into it if you know phoenix rate you know what to expect and i have a feeling the first game at least it's going to be on the show. Someday i'm okay with that. They're pick pick their good games. Awesome music. I wouldn't know last time i played it was. I played it on my own. And i just had a muted. I would just play random times. When i was not doing other stuff. I should have just gonna leave the sentence of bad. it's good game. I'd be afford all right and number seven. I went with something that again. Two thousand and one game boy advance game. That means a lot to me of vance wars. i have had. I think it's a great game. I have never been able to get very far advantage too because the game..

"And it came with an awesome card. I think it came with a ancient view or something or a note came with. What did asia view was from. The theater came with the gambler exclusive meow. Yes i think you're right. I don't remember. I know i had it. That was the reason. I bought it. The game was and then. I realized i could learn to play the game through this or fun with it hard. After that. i'm so mad. I gave all my cards away when i was younger. Same my wife. And i still by each other packs every so often though the new orleans even though we'll probably never use them. They're still fun to have. I had a bunch of cards to. I don't know what happened to him anymore. Probably my parents house still i have. No idea is a good game. Though i love it played on the show episode. Fifteen fourteen somewhere early on there. I don't remember anymore. Yeah it's up there. I don't recommend the early episodes ever anymore. So yeah well we'll see some of those audio quality all right. I think we should do. I'll do my number eight. This is This one i thrown for a loop that you guys will not be expecting dragging bossie legendary super saying warriors for gameboy color in two thousand two. No not on my list. I only again. This list is mostly based off games. Just that meant a lot to me. I i was not. I didn't get and drinking ballsy until i was in high school. I wanna say like two thousand two thousand two hundred and three and a friend of mine who had met my freshman year and he was. He was big and drink multi with their weren't allowed during ballsy game at that time for like. Ps two and stuff like that and this was a game lake other game and he bought it for some reason. I don't remember why we had it. But he had he had school and we were playing it. He'd played in school stuff. And it's a action game. It's a turnstile card game where you pick carter your attacks and you go through the entire dragon. Ball z saga all the way from when he fights rabbits to the very end with kid boot anti encompasses the whole thing with so many different characters and i love this game. I actually went back and beat it before the podcast article. I just needed to play it again. It was almost on the show multiple times but since mike is not a dragon ball z fan and a few thousand two. I wanna make him suffer and hate me so got it is two hundred thousand. But it's it's it's a turn based car fighting game and you can move around in the map you get all the you get all the characters that you can get throughout like you get so many characters throughout this game. I forget how many are but it is so much fun under thirty battles story mode. Say go through the whole series and it's such a great little game sprites but i love it so much. So that's my number eight zero through the tournament. The world tournament is that drinking ball with hercules. I dunno only argh. I've seen them all in the tournament..

"Hi everybody and welcome to a topic episode con game. My mom found i. Mike who's playing gameboy with me tonight. Michael aa hughes. Oh i am playing a bunch of other things in game boy but adam from talk games to bubblegum. I've heard of this show miss much And as adam already said he does have a pocket he started us inspired by more so go check out. Talk games to bubble gum. Lincoln the show notes. And wherever you get your podcasts. Sorry it's on spotify and other podcasts. Not i bring it up every time. I now listen to this show hoax. Poofy and mike. Why don't you tell you what the topic is about this is. It's not just the topic. This is a top ten. Which i think is a first for the show is the first we were talking about. Top ten held handheld games are personal up ten. I wanted to do just. Es and mike. I haven't played onto. Dsm legwell do three s and e. s. guys told haven't said don't plan a lot all his y'all hand. How damian was top ds radius. I mean just look at what's been on the show that would be about after what played which is not much. The only caveat i put in was like new switch. Nothing like the sega nomad that just plays genesis games. Because that's cheating. That's i shouldn't introduce the same as our first top ten topic. That's okay. I'm not gonna go back and fix it from future bike. That won't get solved so well. And i think we should. So we're gonna we're gonna do is. We're going to list the ten you know. We'll go from ten county down to one and then we'll kind of go around talking about the game that we picked and talk about it then kind of go from there and see where we end up to be weird a top ten curious. We're gonna have any overlap. I see. I was curious about that too because there are some when you think hand held games there is definitely games that we've all played and we all love and i know one to two series so i try to stay. Stay away from them. But i definitely know we're going to hear maybe some overlays. Okay i don't think there's much as you. But i think maybe like one or two between the three of us but i also tried to stay away from re releases and ports because that's also too easy save as much as mike would like to put trigger number one for diaz. I didn't want to is the best version of it. The ds version but still it. Just it isn't right for a top ten hand-held because it's a super nintendo game. Yeah i really wanted to put final fantasy for. But i stayed away from it..
