Would occasionally you would see a bright. Little chipmunk perched on radio fans it's been a bad week in washington lady. Bird finds herself in the rare uncomfortable position of being the subject of some pretty scathing press. So she's fled. Dc to get out of the spotlight and come to hunt. Land and estate in middleburg virginia about an hour outside of washington. Lbj and lady. Bird had made high profile tours of appalachia. I mainly on poor whites for one of the administration's first initiatives it's war on poverty and they've quoted massive press coverage tv radio and prince. Johnson continues the president's attack on poverty as she travels to the economically depressed areas of kentucky. The forty five counties making up this area present one of the nation's worst pictures poverty several times. Mrs johnson holzer motorcade degreed local school children who have gathered along. The roadside ladybird has been a public face for this up until now the media has loved her. There's actually no vice president at the moment because lbj was the bp under kennedy and according to the constitution there's no automatic replacement for him lbj's going to announce a running mate at the convention in august at the press corps. Traveling with the first lady has started referring to her as mrs. vice president. How serious is that. i don't know not fairy. But they've clearly picked up on something real about the way. She works with lyndon in a typical piece. Editorial in the lexington herald in kentucky asks. Why not an lbj and lbj ticket. Look no farther lyneham. Your big problem of running mate for this fall is now solved. It's none other than that. Charming texan. lady. Bird johnson ladybird lasted off but all this recognition has also made her a target. Read the papers and absorb the shock. Aptitude republican congressman's visit to my tenants that i pogo county. A couple of gop congressman decided to take their own poverty. Tour to alabama where ladybird has almost four thousand acres used for cotton and timber farming that she inherited from her mother's family. The congressmen go see lady bird tenants and put out some grainy black and white photos showing their ramshackle conditions tin roof shacks with collapsing foundations. No running water basically. She's being made to look like a slum lord and those optics as they say in politics are terrible. It could have been worse. I've got to thank some way to turn it into. A constructed in ladybird been in public life for decades. And she's savvy about the press. She understands the story could deal them real political damage so her first constructive step was to avoid the press by getting out of town. That's what's brought her to hunt land back in. Washington linden's really struggling. His civil rights. Bill is stuck. In congress is war counseled dean rusk mcgeorge bundy and robert mcnamara all holdovers from kennedy are pressing him on vietnam and he has a raging toothache and i was almost asleep. A little after tway out. He called me. It was a sad happy. Talk large about the alabama tenants and about his restive desire to seek a way out of the burdens. He carries but the real source of his pain. He's actually thinking about not running. November linden is fundamentally insecure. He knows he wasn't elected that he's just there because kennedy was assassinated. He doesn't believe he has a mandate and he doesn't think he can win despite an approval rating of seventy four percent. You could argue that. This is all in his head but part of him. A big part just wants out ladybird invited. Lbj's to longtime doctors to drive out to hunt one for dinner Linden had a major heart attack at heartland almost ten years ago in nineteen fifty five. It's never really out of mind for either of them so at dinner that night with the doctors. She'd heard what they thought about his fitness. And we're going to give him a thorough medical going. The next morning and night we only talked about the psychological aspects. I don't know though that either one really understands the depth of his pain winning af faces up to the possibility of sending many thousands. American boys vietnam both ladybird linden can see the writing on the wall. Vietnam could easily derail his presidency. Their ambitions for civil rights the sweeping great society programs. He's just laid out for his doctors leave to go back. Washington bird hands them. An envelope marked personal but its contents are political to on the phone the night before linden had asked her to set out the pros and cons. I wrote at for london about a nine page analysis of what i thought he situation was. I she types out that press release. It's a bit of psychology. This is what it would feel like to announce you're not running. Then on a spiral bound steno pad ladybird writes those nine pages laying out his options This letter or what. I think is more accurately. Her strategy memo is been sitting at the lbj library forever. Pretty much overlooked by historians.

The urban legend bloody mary stunning in the bathroom chanting looking in the mirror. I've done a story on this before the brought it up to the twenty first century but this is a little more background and history with an interesting and most people have heard of the legend about bloody mary. A woman that was murdered in the seventeen hundreds for giving birth to a baby that was fatherless. The story of bloody. Mary begins with the village condemning her baby to death while mary watched in horror and then each person the village slash mary's face while she was forced to watch yourself being caught up in a mirror there are several different rituals of bringing mary back but the most popular standing in front of a mirror with three candles lit and chanting the phrase bloody mary. I have killed your baby so come back. This must be chatted ten times and on the tenth time bloody. Mary is summoned but only comes to the chanter chantiers mirror but she said to be a vicious vengeful ghost which urban legend says we'll either violently flasher face drive the person insane that summoned her or scratch. That person's is out. Pull you into the mirror to live with her. I rest of your life or by chance you managed to escape perdue. She will haunt you every time you are of a mirror. Wow the ritual was most popular in the nineteen seventies during girls. Pajama parties of men are known to have tried the ritual. Also in one story girl tried the ritual and set at the end. I don't believe in mary and she fell and broke her hip right after. Is this coincidence. Maybe give it a go yourself. If you're truly brave enough to face. Bloody mary the most important part beside the candles and the chanting is the mirror. Most use bathroom there because generally they are l- arm or large enough to make the ritual work other dark rooms have large mirrors and they will work to why mirror. Well it's rumored that as thirty more villagers individually slashing. Mary's face when she died her spirit was trapped inside the realm of a mirror after several of the villagers have mysteriously died by viciously b.'s. Slashed in the face or came up missing. Young girls in the village began to disappear one by one. No one could find out what happened to them or where they'd gone. Grief-stricken searched the woods the local stores and all the houses and barns but there was no sign of the missing girls. A few brave souls even want to marries home in the woods to see if the which had taken the girls but she denied any knowledge of their disappearance still was noted that one of the men had been seen several times of mary's home. The neighbors were suspicious but he told everyone that he was going there to try. And discover the truth and hopefully trick. Mary into telling him where she was hiding the children. They could find no proof that mary had taken their young ones then came the night when the daughter of the sawmill owner rose from her bed and walked outside following an enchanted sound. I'm glad you asked robot. Teeth are made from carefully carved coursing and they are programmed to grow until they fall out and then we leave our baby robot teeth under our pillows for the robot tooth fairy. WHO takes our teeth in exchange for a shiny China transistor? Wow that's kinda like humans except we usually get treated or cash in exchange for our baby teeth super weird. Our contestants are human child contest. I is an eight year old. WHO LOVES MOROCCAN COOKIES WITH MINT? Tea Zohar Tar Hara. Welcome to tire I are you. Are you good good. I am well. But we're going to do do it with a game that we call to truth and ally. Are you ready. You're gonNA tell three facts but two of those facts are going to be true and one is going to be a lie and we you have to guess which one is the lie okay. Let's see how good she is at this all right so hot. Tell us your three facts. I lived in Mexico Co for months for one I have three dogs and I've swing in a slide in my room in your bedroom. Okay WanNa believe that. You're the playground in your room but it does seem unlikely. So what do you think. I just don't think that anyone would need dogs. Three's too many because the one dog like I love you feel emotionally interesting logic. Alright Zohar which one of those spags is a lie. I don't have played on because of dog wouldn't know how to feel note. That is not. Why do you have any dogs? No you don't have any any dogs only to have. The dog died this year. You can find them in tiny any dentist dot com. Our first expert is Dr Natasha Matthias. Please introduce yourself Heisel Hi Sahara. My Name is Dr Natasha Matthias and I am a dentist for kids. Thank you TASHA. Let's meet our second expert. Dr Benjamin Engine Circus Benjamin. Please use yourself Heizo Hara. I'm Ben or Dr Ben I'm an orthodontist and I'm here to answer any questions you I love. Thank you very much shuts. It sounds like you've been brushing up on your sound files lease that same file as always but okay. Okay okay thank you. Yes that's when we put our experts on the hot seat while they answer questions. Lisa who should we put on the hot seat. I Dr. You're Benjamin Circus. Because he likes to party does He. Yeah I mean his first name has been jamming. He's been Jaman and I'm sure he's never heard that before or Zohar. What is your first question for? Dr Ben what's the hardest part of your job. That's a great question and I think the hardest part of my job is that people don't like coming into my office. Oh it's probably because all the mouth pain no I think that's a pretty big misconception. As an orthodontist what I like to do is try and make people comfortable with the process because most of what we're doing is trying to help ensure for it could hurt sometimes and sometimes it may not feel the best but we want people to enjoy their smile when they leave so for us. It's really important. Wouldn't that you actually like coming in so for me. It's hard that people are afraid of the dentist or afraid of going to their orthodontist. Yeah that would be difficult to have a job where people are afraid of you unless issue like people to be afraid of you right Lisa you have that job. I'm pretty new dimmer. No you are not. Don't tell people that poking me okay so hard you have another question yet on. This is for both of them actually okay. What our teeth made of dreams? So t the made of very hard calcified material almost similar to your bones there are several ever layers in your teeth. The hardest layers on the outside and that's called in a mall and that is the only part of your body that Khan freely repair itself. Your bone can repair itself the next layer within that the Denton database itself as well and then the very inside site. The core of your tooth is what most people call the root canal. Adad is where the blood and the nerve lies though if that is in some way affected affected. That's when you get a toothache can be most of what doctrines Tasha said is true but actually isn't the hardest layer of if your teeth. It's actually one of the softest see part of the reason. Animal can't repair itself as well. Rested twos is made out of calcified bone and you have a calcium based the enamel layer actually has an arrogant bay. So that's a little bit harder to repair but it's a softer material sting. All right right so hard. You have some more questions this Dr Ban Have you ever been bitten or like her at work or something. I have many times. surreally these kids. No that's not true so I wish I could say that I hadn't but unfortunately I have had some pretty Negative experiences so part of my job as an orthodontist is to put braces on people right. You know have braces. Yeah and when you do that a lot of time before you put the braces on you have to take a mold of the patient's mouth so that you can make sure you outfit. The braces the best way possible and that mold is basically putting silly putty in your mouth and so sometimes different patients don't like the procedure which is called an opt to Laka uh-huh and when you put the mold in their mouth they might gag or by or not feel

"Deprivation causes sleep deprivation as having like a toothache or stomach ache. I know. Most uncomfortable. And one of the most awful things you can have you so people are coming in. Sleeping. Don't tell necessarily some sleeping issues when they come in. But when they're when they're done with the, it's what's cool about the program like people come in, and they're very, they're very, very skeptical that they're even going to lose weight. And then they stop focusing on the waiting and start thinking about how their health is improving. Sandra came in thirty nine year old female. She lost Chit severe sleeping issues. She was she was having a lot getting up trouble falling asleep. Trouble, staying asleep waking up early tossing and turning just having a ton of issues sleeping, and a lot of times it's adrenal adrenal issue with cortisol levels and things like that. And, you know, the cortisol is so important they're supposed to. They're supposed to cortisol is great. It's it's produced by the adrenal glands. And so it's supposed to during the day help you burn fat, and at night, help you sleep. And if you're have adrenal exhaustion issues, a lot of time, just the opposite. You can't you can't burn fat and you can't sleep. And so she came in. She lost twenty four pounds. In forty days, so per great usually see twenty five to, to thirty five with women. So she was just a little bit under that. But what's great about it? Is that she's, she says that after the first seven to ten days at a program? She's basically been sleeping like a rock falling asleep. Eleven o'clock. She goes to bed, we'll arm wakes up at seven. She says she doesn't even realize she's asleep anymore. She's just kind of goes to bed wakes up. Boom Ritz ready to start a day. Rested feeling great. No crashes in the three o'clock in the afternoon, much less need for coffee in the afternoon, which is great which is going to help her sleep. So you see, when you get this thing going in one direction. It's going to stay going in one direction. So. Yeah. Twenty four pounds sleeping like a rock. She came in. We did hair and saliva sample bioenergetics scans bloodwork, functional assessment. We gave her hormones support hypothetical support. We also gave her adrenal support got the got the body work in the right way. And now we got the results that we see it's not surprising either right around that age right around the age of thirty nine forty I hear more and more that right between the ages of thirty nine and forty one a lot of things change in the women's body and cycle. Right. And so it's really it's interesting every ten years way. Exactly. So I think that it's interesting that you brought that up, but speaking of the health benefits, so we've had this happen a bunch of times in our office. But this just recently happened again. Michelle who I believe she's in her mid thirties. She lost eighty pounds. She did too. Rounds. Yeah. I mean really really a lot of weight eighty pounds. Well, what happened was she had some trouble getting pregnant with her first child. And so did a lot of hormone therapy type stuff and I v f and claw. Clo med and all these other things, and all of these drugs are really known for, they'll put put Taina Wayne on Yale modem and really just create all sorts of bloating in the body, all sorts of very unpleasant things. But, you know, she got a baby out of it, which is really a great positive. But because of that she had gained not only a bunch of weight before she got pregnant, but also while she was pregnant, and then afterwards really hard, hard time, taking it off. So then she tried to get pregnant again, again, more hormones and more of these procedures, and unfortunately, her second time was not as successful as her first, but she was about eighty pounds heavier than she had started out before. So she came to us. She did to forty day rounds which basically means went pound for pound on both of them. And that's very. It's common because this was not Heregger. Wait, right. This was weight put on with funds. Right. So that's why she went pound for pound because her body really needed. It really needed to get rid of growth, so per pound for pound pound a day for a man is impressive pound for pound pound a day for a woman is, absolute we've had a number of women. So anyway, so she comes she comes in. And she says, she goes, you guys wouldn't believe she came in for hair and saliva test and just one after the program. And she says you wouldn't believe what I have to tell you. She says I'm pregnant no hormones screwed now. I know clo- made. No, nothing. She says, I guess my body got rid of all the toxins of all the extra hormones. I dropped all this way. She says a now pregnant. It's a really great story. But, you know, we've had this happen, you know, probably I would say half a dozen to a dozen times where but she by the way, completely didn't expect it. I mean, her her and her husband fully like just, you know, we're settled with one child and happy and the baby's healthy. And so now she's about to have a second one, and she says, I can't believe I'm going to have to lose weight again. But you know what I think is going to happen to be honest with you. Regulator bodies. More regularly probably gain show probably James, not gained a ton of weight already. And she even said that with that with the first baby, she had gained so much during the first couple of weeks and kept gaining. And she said with this one, she feels completely different. She feels so much, healthier and really feels good. Not as much nausea during the privatization. Really? She says it's just a whole different experience for her. She feels like herself, and it's really great and congratulations to her and looking forward to meeting that healthy baby. Yeah, that's awesome. We had Jill also, I had somebody came in and was telling me the same thing. Joe came in and she's thirty two years old. She hasn't had a regular cycle in years. She says it was she would come and go heavy bleeding for days on, and then it wouldn't then it would go for weeks, then it would stop for months and completely inconsistent. And she came in and similar situation. You know, she said that. Then Saipem cycle totally stopped. She's down seventeen pounds in twenty two days, which is great. And the cycles says she had seem like she was regulating with her cycle. She hadn't had it. He came in the beginning couple of days, no issues with it. No pain, nothing like that. No, no serious symptoms that way. And it seemed like that was regulated as well. So we do see this all the time when the hypothalamus year veteran main hormone control that starts, regulating, itself, you're gonna see all types of different hormonal issues, go away all types of different..

"I had a toothache because I had a root canal last year, and it hurt really bad to the point where I was on my way to the drugstore on the way, it's like CVS, and I was like crying on the way there because I was in so much pain. But I got the worst. I got Orejela instead of Tylenol on just rub their on there because then it numbs everything. So I'd rather have that then like take a town. Wait, thirty minutes, or whatever. But I'm not I'm not against them. I'm not like, oh, you shouldn't like whatever. It's maybe it's even a pride thing being like, I don't fucking need to take that. Right. I just think that it's a bad habit of like whenever you get a little bit of symptoms. You like all just take this pill, and it'll go away. Right. You know, like, I know I it's it's definitely it's definitely that's valid point though. Because like even like some medication on now like I'm weaning off. And it's like two goal is to get off medication. You know at some point. So like, I understand why some people like aren't even willing to do it at the end of the day. It's like a drug, and maybe like someone who's listening is way. More like. Educated on the topic. I'm on it though. No. I mean, like a farm. Yeah. Like someone who's like an actual document. And like they obviously would know more than me. But all I know is that this isn't necessarily a natural thing we had to go out of our way to make it. Right. It's manufacturers. So I don't know. I agree with your stance. I don't think it moves the needle either way. I don't think if you take Tylenol when you have headaches. It's gonna kill you for sure it's just like a thing that I do know. I just don't take my. Yeah. I have some pops emergencies emergencies crate drink those you don't like the raspberry flavor. You do. I mean, I've gotten used to it. Yeah. I don't like raspberry oranges. Good hell yet. That's like the one orange thing. Like you. Don't like orange flavor. I saw your whole fucking skittles thing. What house red not your favorite skittle, Red's, mad, basic? But it's the best skittle, bro. It's better than the L skittle. No, it's not would you have yellow red green orange jello. Corinne, yellow green red orange purple red was three. Yes. No, truly bugging. No. I think it's red yellow green orange purple that different from what I did. But it is because my one in two different than your one and two. Just saying you said green to I said green, the re okay? People are losing people who put purple I. I'm sorry what? Yeah. Those people had a bad childhood. Yeah. Someone fell off a table and their parents only had grapes shit around. So that's why like by the way grape stuff. Doesn't taste like grapes, never taste? Like, I've rather it tastes like a great. I love grapes. I love grapes, green, grapes. Give up a groups in the freezer. Yeah. Fantastic. No, grapes. Are so good. Yeah. I can't have them though because very high in sugar. Oh, yeah. I know, but I used to eat a whole bag grapes in a day. It's a little extreme. I was just talking about, you know, like a party where there's like cheese crackers here rep rapid fire. You ready? Oh shit. Couple questions ready go how many slices of pizza could you eat one sitting? I'm really going for it. Yes. Five okay. How many big Macs? Did you eat one city to? Okay. How many what do you usually get a Wendy's? How many Frosties could you eat one city? It would take me a while. But I could probably get three down. Yeah. They're small eat that. Okay. Brain freeze. Yes. All right. How many medium McDonald's fries? Could you eat in one sitting? A lot. A lot medium fry a lot. You think like how many sleeves of calm sleeps? Three four four five four or five. Right. So like, I don't even know if someone could stop eating those. Yeah. Like if there was just an abundance of them. I would pick at it all day..

"And that's why this app a great exercise in training. Our happiness muscle. Now, we have a great listener question. This is our in a for the month episode, and Chris and us an Email saying guys, my girlfriend of five years broke up with me saying that her feelings change, and she wasn't sure about me anymore. I respect her decision. And I want her to be happy. But I don't know how to let go and move on. So everyone knows that a break up is probably a life event. That's not gonna make you happy. It's going to be something that's fraught with some negative emotions, and obviously pushing through those can be difficult at times. Absolutely. I mean, I can just add here. I can this is a tough one. Chris I I'm very sorry to hear that. Because what we know about breaks ups. Love sickness is that it's really an actual pain that can be compared to having a tooth ache. So everyone who is not currently breaking up should probably understand the the feeling that someone has who goes through it. It's like it's like having toothache it's an actual pain, not hurts, and there's basically very little that we can do because love in some ways like in addiction in our brain it forms like that. Because you know, it involves a low of neurotransmitters like oxytocin serotonin in these things and and and getting. Off that it takes time for the brain to adjust. Now, maybe what helps and I don't know in his situation because one love to hear his that..

"Having like a toothache or stomach ache. Tossed uncomfortable and one of the most awful things you can have. So people are coming in. They're sleeping, you know. They don't tell necessarily some sleeping issues when they come in. But you know, when they're come when they're done with the what's cool about the program like people come in. And they're very they're very very skeptical that they're even going to lose weight, and then they stop focusing on the waiting to start thinking about how their health is improving. Sandra came in thirty nine year old female, she lost chip severe sleeping issues. She was she was having a lot getting up trouble falling asleep. Trouble staying asleep, waking up early tossing and turning just having a ton of issues sleeping and a lotta times. It's an adrenal adrenal issue with cortisol levels and things like that. And you know, the cortisol is so important they're supposed to they're supposed to cortisol is great. It's it's produced by the adrenal glands. And and so it's supposed to during the day help you burn fat and at night help you sleep. And if you're have adrenal exhaustion issues a lot of times, you'll see the. Opposite. You can't you can't burn fat, and you can't sleep. And so she came in she lost twenty four pounds in forty days. So, you know, great usually see twenty five to two thirty five with women. So she was just a little bit under that. But what's great about? It is that she's she says that after the first seven to ten days at a program. She's basically been sleeping like a rock falling asleep. Eleven o'clock. She goes to bed will arm wakes up at seven she says, she doesn't even realize she's asleep anymore. She's just kind of goes to bed wakes up. Boom. Ritz ready to start a day rested feeling great no crashes in the three o'clock in the afternoon. Much less need for coffee in the afternoon, which is great which is going to help her sleep. So you see when you get this thing going in one direction. It's going to stay going in one direction. Yeah. Twenty four pounds sleeping like a rock. She came in. We did hair and saliva sample bio energetic scans bloodwork functional assessment. We gave her hormones support hypothetical support. We also gave her adrenal support got the got the body work in the right way. And now, we got the results that we see. It's not surprising either right around that age right around the age of thirty nine forty. I hear more and more that right between the ages of thirty nine and forty one a lot of things change in the women's body and cycle. Right. And so it's really it's interesting every ten years. Right. Exactly. So I think that it's interesting that you brought that up but speaking of the health benefits. So we've had this happen a bunch of times in our office. But this just recently happened again, Michelle who I believe she's in her mid thirties as she lost eighty pounds. She did too. Yeah. I mean, really really a lot of weight eighty pounds. What happened was she had some trouble getting pregnant with her first child. And so did a lot of you know. Hormone therapy type stuff, and I v f and clone. Clo med and all these other things and all of these drugs are really known for they'll they'll put that time away and really just create all sorts of bloating in the body all sorts of very unpleasant things. But you know, she got a baby out of it, which is really a great positive. But because of that she had gained not only a bunch of weight before she got pregnant, but also while she was pregnant and then afterwards, really hard hard time taking it off. So then she tried to get pregnant again, again more hormones and more of these procedures. And unfortunately, her second time was not as successful as her first. But she was about eighty pounds heavier than she had started out before. So she came to us. She did to forty day rounds, which basically means she went pound for pound on both of them. And that's very common because this was not Heregger. Wait, right. This was weight put on with right? So that's why she went pound for pound because her body really needed. It really needed to get ready for pound for pound pound a day for a man is impressive pound for pound for pound a day for a woman is absolute we've had a number of women. So anyway, so she comes she comes in. And she says she goes, you guys wouldn't believe she came in for hair and saliva test just one after the program, and she says, you wouldn't believe what I have to tell you. She says I'm pregnant. Oh, no hormones great now. I have no clue. No, nothing. She says, I guess my body got rid of all the toxins of all the extra hormones. I dropped all this way. She says a now pregnant. It's a really great story. But you know, we've had this happen. You know, probably I would say, yeah. Half a dozen to a dozen times where you know. But she by the way, completely didn't expect that I mean, her her her and her husband fully, like just, you know. No, we're settled with one child and happy and the baby's healthy. And so now she's about to have a second one. And she says I can't believe I'm going to have to lose weight again. But you know, what I think is going to happen to be honest with you. Regulators more probably gain show probably James has not gained a ton of weight already. And she even said that with that with the first baby she had gained so much during the first couple of weeks and kept gaining and she said with this one she feels completely different. She feels so much healthier. And really feels good not as much nausea during the practice. Really? She says it's just a whole different experience for her. She feels like herself, and it's really great and congratulations to her. And you know, looking forward to meeting that healthy baby. Yeah. That's that's awesome. We had Joel also I had somebody came in. And was telling me the same thing Joe came in. And she's thirty two years old. She hasn't had a regular cycle in years. She says it was she would come and go heavy bleeding for days on end. And it wouldn't then it would go for weeks than it would stop for months and completely inconsistent. And she came in and similar situation. You know, she said that. Then Saipan cycle, totally stopped. She's down seventeen pounds in twenty two days. Which is great. And the cycles says is she had seemed like she was regulating with a cycle. She hadn't had it. He came in the beginning couple of days. No issues with it. No pain nothing like that. No, no serious symptoms that way might seem like that was regulated as well. So we do see this all the time when the hypothalamus year, that's your main hormone control that starts regulating itself. You're gonna see all the types of different hormonal issues. Go away all types of different. Problems.

And obviously, I didn't have my privacy settings set correctly because of random stranger filled in the comment and said my answer dentists near you, do you want me to give her a call? And I said, sure. Yeah. So I went to his aunt the next morning before they officially opened got that thing drilled the hell out gotta filled. She didn't overcharge me. I send this guy message. Thank you so much. He goes, no problem. And I I don't know what you do. I heard you have some show that my friend likes. But I'm glad you got your to taking care of. And I said, well, I don't have any work for you. But I'll keep my ear the ground. He said whatever you can do. No problem. I said I've never worked with this guy. But here's a portfolio. He's a nice person. That's really all. I can say that guy got a fulltime job as far as I know still works there years later designing websites, and templates and themes and branding for this woman's company because. He helped me find a dentist on Facebook. So if he'd been thinking, how do I get a job he would never have made that introduction to a dentist because the connection the nexus is unclear the.

"To Mark toothache or from spendthrift six to one as the second choice, and then sensational super champion sire tap it. Third choice the individuals sires at eight to one tap. And of course, it gains way. And then you have all other sires at four to one that is the overall favourite, but not the six to five that we see among the individual horses. That's that's kinda telling to. Yeah. No. It's it's an interesting bet. And unfortunately, I would say, unfortunately, it's great for hillsdale. But you know, came excuse me, candy, right? It's cider of of game winter, obviously, it's one of the big reasons he's taken such a hit in this pool. But I cry some numbers using the Brits that speed writing. And candy Reid is the leader of this crop a two year old so full full born in twenty sixteen if you look at his maiden spec. If you look at all maiden special weight. Winners their average speed rating. Candy Reid is the leader. So not only, you know, you have game winter, obviously. But there's a plethora of of two year olds who have wanted the maiden special weight rakes that candy right is getting some some fast two year old and into mischief a second. And we're seeing that play out the future pool because they also happen to have two of the more, exciting Gerber prospects. But it's more than just those two. And I would actually encourage people at these prices right now if you like game winner, candy right as much better bet. Yeah. Well, you know stats race Lind's came out with a with a angle during Breeders Cup about candy right at Churchill Downs in his horses running long actually showing a flatbed profit if you bet on every one of candy rights horses going long at Churchill Downs. And I think that that's a huge angle too. That supports what you're saying about candy. Right. Yeah. And people are going to say, wait a minute. He said it's a much better bet game winner six to one candy Reid is five to one. But keep in mind when you're betting on the sire, you're getting all of his three-year-old. So it's not just the one horse. You're not tying your your money to that one horse game winner. Exactly. Yeah. Last year scat daddy at three in the v. So you know, the right sire gets hot and the right crop. And. Excuse me, candy right to me. We have the look of of along with into mischief and tap it. But you know, you get the champion, and it is I said no to point out a great stat and candy right himself, yet brilliance, and he was versus one. I'm also surfaces. I mean, that's to me the type of tire you look for in a in a derby horse. And we saw that what scat daddy last year. He gets sprinters gets routers. He gets her forces horses now. So.

"Of Bob McNair, who of course, was the owner of the Houston Texans, and the owner of stone side stable campaign many horses under that banner for many many years you had a bit of a relationship with him back in the day. Just talk about bad for a minute. Well, Mr. McNair, you know, was just an absolute legend in the game. And he'll Bobby Spalding who was his longtime manager John Asher his racing manager. You know, those guys back when I was consigning and selling horses back before my my time, it it Spencer. They were nice enough to let me sell some horses. Foreign not only Keeneland, but we also sold some forces for them when they were kinda dispersing some of their stuff down in Texas as well. We took some stuff down there to the Texas year. Let sale and got a chance with John Asher to go down and go to Texans game and go down on the field before the game in just you know, Mr. McNair couldn't have been more gracious to us, and my brother-in-law was able to go with the we just had a fantastic time down there. And you know, I hate that. He got out of the racing game. And you know, we sold his farm and shake Mohammad came in and bonded. And then just instant off of a lot of the mating stuff that Bobby in the guys who've done out of the form, you know, they had Breeders Cup success. And you know, I know he wanted to focus, you know, on the Texans, and you know, what a great franchisees done there and exciting times for them. "He wants to make the money that he's owed to play the season because all this camp stuff, the fines and everything you can just wipe that away. No big deal. Once you start missing games, you don't get paid, and then that's money that never comes back the other way. If the Rams know all of this, if they know is going to show up if they know is going to show up in shape if they know he's going to show up ready to go and they know that they can tag him. They know that they can tag him again. What leverage does Aaron, Donald half, just keep playing. Eventually it's going to happen for you. That's your only leverage as a player that your your only other option is not to play, and that's just not in him. He wants to be here. He wants to play. You can't get to where you want, where he wants to get to without being on the field. It's just unfortunate that you have to deal with the business. I. But eventually, like you said, when they kick off in the regular season, he's gonna wanna be there. He's gonna wanna compete. So he's going to be here at some point I mean is is a leverage point. I'm not suggesting you're Don would do this. I'm just asking, does it exist? Like basically, I show up, I play, but I make sure this locker room turns to some degree against the organization, and you know that they, they're gonna take my side on this and they're gonna feel like this organization that is in win now mode while also looking to build towards the future that they don't have the players backs. Well, doesn't that hurt him? If he starts to become a toothache and a cancer, not maybe you don't do it outwardly, but you do it, you know, do it quietly, you know you, I'm sure I think that's already happening, but I think a lot of the players understand the business side. It's a salary cap league. If you pay x. then you're gonna lose wyans e, you know, if you have to pay him this, I'm gonna lose my salary. You're going to get younger and cheaper here. I think everyone understands those are the conversations that are taking. Places in rooms that we don't have access to right that that I look. I have. This is the amount of money I have to spend on my team. I've this much. I can't spend a dollar more than this. It's a hard Catholic. I can spend it over here on player. Exit can split on player..

"Did it feel can of similar to the period of time when you felt like you probably had hiv where this you just had this thing looming over you like you knew it was probably going to be a problem for you but you just hadn't faced yet yes i knew that i was in trouble and i could not see a way out i kept saying to myself well you can just weaned yourself up the pills but it was always tomorrow he was never today always tomorrow i can do this tomorrow i can we myself off but once you get up to like seven eight nine twelve fifteen twenty twenty five thirty i mean there's just no room to wean yourself off you cannot do it yourself in because i was in the military at the time remember i still in the military at the time i couldn't turned anybody for help because i was certainly would kick me out if they knew that i was an addict and assurance how would have sent me to jail if they knew that i was stealing from them like if i told them that i was using i told them how many percocet so i was using i would have had to come i would have had to admit to a crime because they would have either figured out that i stole them from the pharmacy or they would figured out that i bought them up the street but one of the two is a crime so no matter what i was going to go to jail and people don't understand that in the military you don't have the same rights that you do as a civilian so it it doesn't necessarily take reasonable doubt for them to throw you in the slammer in the military i remember one day actually not that i think about it it was the same day that i had the problems with the to think so i had a toothache on a friday they giving me a root canal they'd give me some percocet.
