"To the warehouse So without a chassis you can't move a container box So you're just going to see container stack stack stack up and just wait for equipment to come get it That's part of the congestion at other ports So the part of why nimi doesn't have its own chassis What it's doing is extending contracts with existing clients Like del Monte and chiquita They're leasing out space on their ships to bring in stuff that they don't normally carry Like furniture clothes toys musical instruments Alongside the bananas and mangoes and pineapples Ramon Rios is the del Monte operations manager at the port So we're basically chartering our vessels to bring their cargo We're like Uber for them They can do that because they have their own chassis They can use to cart away the containers of couches that hitched a ride on those banana boats It depends on the port but chassis are generally owned by the shipping carriers that bring stuff into a port And yes supply chain issues they too are having trouble buying them The backup to buy in buying charges right now I mean it's like standing in line and Black Friday you know waiting for doors to open right now There's a bunch of customers requesting to buy chassis And it's just it's hard to get them I pretty much all the ports there is a full on chassis shortage which you can't tell just by looking around While it was at the port of waine I spent the day with Tony Ryan had harbor master and even though there was a shortage there seemed to be an awful lot of chassis just parked at the port But.

"Heard on the other with Ah, you're good. You're here for a reason. Kids. Shannon Caylor is Tony Ryan. Paulie. Mac Murphy's out corpses out. We got markets over there where he always is Spider Is indeed in the James T. Kirk captain chair today. Nice and let's do this is going to be really cool. So these are old friend Darren Chan, who is the name Darren Chand probably is becoming more and more familiar to giant fans over the years. You've you've heard us transition from the great Lee Jones, Who's the engineer game DJ decades and now we've got, um every bit. His equal in the next generation of giant engineers is Darren Chan. But here's the cool thing before we bring him on Tony and I and Darren and Rod Brooks all worked. Together. We all started in radio together at the same time in like the late nineties and cambio 10 50 was known as the ticket 10 50 at that time, so, Darren Tony, myself and Brooksie. We're all on the same show. 98 99 something like that. And I had a hell of a time. So he we're colleagues were friends. And we also love his work in the broadcast booth. Let's bring him in. Darren Chan, Welcome back to the Murph and Mac Show today with Shannon Kehler and creative. Tony. How are you? D c? Hey now what do you say, guys? Yeah, there he is, By the way, do it out. Yeah. Darren. The post game wrap, I think is is not to be missed radio. So if you are Giants fan or baseball fan and just great baseball banter, and Darren has I roll out a crew can keep talking baseball to absolutely both of those. Absolutely, but I love the post game wrap because they're reacting to literally what just went down and then also, uh, they pick their players in the game and they riff on each other. It's great. It's really good dancer and D. C. Darren Chan is now as is in the booth with all of them, and you know, Darren is actually made his presence in Known by injecting sound into these segments. Now it's super fun. Do you see my spots, man? I I do know that whole thing with now we the Wilmer Flores thing was kind of where it came out of nowhere. It started earlier this season. When I watch you started last season, I should say, even during the during the pandemic, it's when when Skype made floors, his guy I, and he was talking about how floors loved him as his favorite, loved his home run call who doesn't for that matter, right, right. And then he was talking about how floors you know, learn to use friends as a way to learn English when he first came to the country, and then next thing you know it became where we're going to play his theme song. Every time Floors is one of the pics of one of the guys, so it always became a challenge last year. That's what Kip is trying to do. As he was trying to, he would make Wilmer Flores has picked And I would I would not have the music radio sometimes because I was like, editing highlights or something? Sure. Yeah. Yeah, And then he would go. Uh oh. Well, D c. You blew it. You blew it tournament and then I would play it late or something. And I was really tough on myself. Because I was like, man, I'm better than that. Yeah. Yeah. And then he would go. Okay. Well, that's the next pick. Right, Mikey? You got the next big woman for us. He'll throw it underneath his breath there. See if I was listening, and I nail it. I get him one time like that. But now we have a couple other other themes that we play here and there, But the other ones have not panned out quite as well as the warmer Flores. Well, Daryn and again you're listening to Terran Channel in the room. A guest line. He is the engineer of all the radio broadcast. And for starters, just to make sure people understand this D C is that you guys stole our You're you're at Oracle Park right? Like the Giants are playing in Arizona, for example. You guys aren't even there physically, but it sounds great. Just so you know that. I mean for me to you the broadcast sound killer. I mean, No indication you guys aren't there, but it's got to be challenging is where I'm going with this D C. And what's it like to call a game and and produce a game and engineering game That's going on in an entirely different ballpark. I'll tell you this last year was a lot more challenging because it was all new technology to all of us, right. You know, to the guys having a call games off monitors. And look, we all did it when we were kids, you and I, everybody listening at home. You know you would sit there in front of the TV and call a game And then after like the second pitch, you run out of stuff to say, because you had no stats in front of you, but we have sports. That's as if we were there, right. Everything is replicated in the booth as if we were there. Except for the game's not literally on the field in front of us. You get the overhead p A announcements. You get all kinds of different angles in front of you. You just don't have a Have anything on the field. Now. What's funny is once in a while the team will be on the road. And if I'm not looking at the monitor, and I'm down, doing something else, and then they'll be like a pitch that's fouled back. I wince. Just out of habit, because I don't know if Johnson foul back foul back to to the back, and I'm like I jumped because I've had times where I have been burned by foul balls. Coming into the booth when I wasn't looking, so that's my natural instinct. But, you know, having said that, in terms of all the all the things that we have to deal with with the it's more tough with, we're at the mercy of the team. That's Really providing the camera angles. So in other words, were down in case field for this weekend. Yes, it's up to the director and the producer down in Arizona to give us the proper feeds. Now, the most challenging part guys. Is that on a check swing or or an appeal to one of the bases are down the line to the first space on part, there'd be some fire on a check swing. Sometimes they won't show it because the home show they have their announcers that can look themselves but they forget. There are also in in essence, directing the roadshow right team that's visiting. And sometimes you don't get that. So we have a thing called the all Night. I'm sure a lot of people have heard about that. That is the static camera that shot down from The top of the ballpark that goes foul pole, the foul pole left or right, so you can see everything on the field. It's in high definition, but it's not in high definition enough where you can see the numbers on the back of people's jerseys. Sometimes a guy will come on deck and you're like, um that we, you know, we think we think Donovan Solano is on deck were 900% sure, so that's when you have to rely on the P A feed. Yeah, well, we're talking to Darren Chan, the chief broadcast engineer. Taylor's there, huh? You believe this? I know we got Taylor involved. No, it was his reaction. Total pro. We got Caylor now. Oh, yeah. You know, I was listening earlier. How can the you know between Tony and Caylor bringing in burritos into into a movie theater? Come on. You know what I'm saying? What's wrong with that? I think of the field shadow. Bc burritos and there you don't bring hot hot food in there. I'm gonna bring my barbecue. Hey, Shannon. You see this? The same guy? That pan fries is hot dogs at giant cans in the parking lot, so oh, no, not at the games that you do. Let's be honest. Yes, you do. See how it gets twisting Shannon. Well, it's all lies in the seat Here on the Murph in Mac show. Let's make sure we got D C s best interests. What do you got for? Okay, D c. I need to know. When can we expect you guys to go back on the road? I've been very interested in that. When can we expect to? Yeah. Mm. Let's see here. I think I've only been asked that question about 900 times. Way to go, Shannon. Now you're upsetting our guest to go. Don't be a punk wish Mike. Necessary club. Uh,.

"I couldn't be more comfortable, Polly, I I figured if I'm in the comfort of my own home in the wintertime That I should robe it up. And you know my buddy late and shut up. L d Leighton D'Antoni, who? Dear friend. I was in his wedding and he gave all of us. Probably the greatest wedding gift I've ever been for being a groomsman. He gave us all personalized robes. And we turned the word robe into a verb because we would go robing where we wear our way will wear out today. I'm going robing and I highly recommend that you guys Go roving, too. It's fun. Shit. Go ahead. I don't have a robe. I'll have been given a robe. I was like, In fact, I'd like Tony Ryan, who is my superior. A knbr to give me a robe for Christmas. I'm gonna put him on the spot and say, that's what I want. Give it to me. Done. But be careful what you ask for. Well, careful what you wish for that because I might be. He was short satin little thing that Prince might have warned back in the days Just barely. Okay. Barely covers his backside. Do lower cheeks hanging out, you know? Yeah. If I don't go for some runs, I think they might be hanging down killer Do not Tony. Here's the scenario. It's Christmas Morning. Shannon's in his new low cut robe, and we've got like just barely covering his lower like hairy cheek area and then He's like Shana, you wait here I'll go. Make some coffee. Dude reaches up into the cabinet for the Cubs Up goes the robe. Now he's got both cheese fully exposed on Christmas Morning, Shannon, your thoughts of call. No one wants to see that. I'm a Scotsman. The cheeks are red. They're very Oh, yeah, That's hearts. Now they're bright red, You know, like lobe Rudolph nose is you don't want to see those cheap, awesome. Awesome. Ginger cheeks ate away can be our Hey, like I'm just a guy that you know, you're just jog to thought right now with when you thought about the cheek hanging out the kids and I we watched a Christmas story last night, Right, Ralphie and you'll see dry out and Um, the end rifle and all that. But I actually for the first time ever couldn't get past the fact that Like the whole lamp thing with one leg lamp in the ass cheek hanging out and did not even need to be part of the story. And why was it at one leg lamp as the prize? Shannon, I'm gonna let you handle this. It needs to be part of it, because it's so so iconic. I mean, what a ridiculous idea like what a great item and everybody owns one, which I think is incredible. Whose are so bizarre? Another. Another note on cheeks is, uh, Lamar Jackson squeezing his cheeks. Running to the locker room, your guys his thoughts on whether that I mean it's grotesque. It's disgusting, but But is it important to discuss? I'm glad you brought this up, Shannon. It's important that we discussed like real life issues. And here's the thing we got. I listen. I don't care at all the guy needs to go. You got to go to go. It's fine. What? It's the denial. Tony that concerns me. It's the staunch. No, no, no, I wasn't going to the bathroom. No, no, no, that's that's what kind of concerns me. It's. It's Lamar's perhaps is his emotional unavailability. To embrace a bodily function as it calls Tony. If you cared a retort, I'd like to give this to you. I have been on a lifelong crusade to end the stigma of bowel movements. Because, uh, what? Yeah, I on. Of course, we're going to get to Niners and dubs and Giants hot stove and all that these air sports issues. Dude, Lamar taking a poop was a big deal. Lamar should have just come correct and owned it And I'm saying, yeah, it's like I tell my kids to own it because it's just a sign that your body is working correctly and kudos to your body working correctly. Listen to three of us understand the pressures of show business, the pressures of being expected to perform Hey, it's 6 A.m. Polly Max, say something funny. That's like the story of my life every day. That's my reality, Tony. Oh, I need a promo right now making about Alex Dickerson and the Giants and make sure it's entertaining. Shannon. You're on stage with the stone. Fox is in five minutes. Be ready. Go. Standing. Which brings me to my next question. We all understand the pressures the showbiz with Lamar. He's competing on the football field while the TV cameras around Shannon has you had a moment on stage when you re or or perhaps 30, seconds till show time. Get ready, Shannon, you're about to go and all sudden, you realize I've got an urgent need that's gonna need attending to Totally. I think every performer has to pee at least five times before they go on stage in the fuck. I know, like three minutes before their show. But my thing was Lamar's issue is that I find that when I'm on stage, I'm not thinking at all about taking a Or having any kind of bodily excretion of any kind. I feel like my mind is on the performance money thing is, why was it? You know, it's like a subconscious thing like it turns off. And I'm that's why I don't really think that he had to go the bathroom. You think I don't think anybody when you're in that mode really needs to go if I owned a Porta potty company right now, I didn't calling Roger Goodell right now and setting up a plan for the 2021 season to have Porta potties installed on the sidelines of every stadium. For and and then the team colors in the team colors and the NFL level like on the roof. Dude logo's right. The official honey Pot of the San Francisco 40 Niners. I mean, that's terrible. No double. What is it? Tablets of money maker in in the making. I mean, come on, honey. Dude. Hey, I got to be what? Where I step in. I'm hoping like this doesn't offend anybody. But I've already got a sponsor Attachment if you want. Oh, make some phone calls. Maybe ups can get involved in have their slogan. See what Brown can do for you on the Porta potty with the NFL shield. Exactly monster by ups, you what Brown can do for you. Dude. Fish did New Year's Eve Y two k Big Cypress Indian Seminole Reservation. In Florida. The came on right before midnight and played until sunrise there on stage for seven hours. They had a port a potty on stage. Why can't NFL teams have important buddy from the sideline? Did they take any breaks during that? They did not. They did not take a break. What about arms drums? Had he go? He don't think he ever left the drum kit. I don't think you have two kids. I mean, you know, I was under the influence of many things that for those seven hours, so Shannon isn't back in the old days. I remember one time he was like, I'm getting on a plane and going to Florida. Oh, I used to go all the time. All the time. Greatest weekends of my life. And my my point is, is that This had a port a potty on stage. The bell really little hit Lamar here, you'd be a spokesman. He has spokesman for bowel movements that you know what NFL Provide me The ability to go relieve myself on the sidelines. And so I don't have to face the humiliation that I'm facing now. Well, first of all, nobody should ever have to face humiliation because I got news for you, whether you're Bo Derek or or John Goodman. It's something that everyone's gonna have to take their right hand and Polly. Nothing's gonna happen until Belle movement persecution and this is all a riff These you know you two guys, you tell people but you really care about their movements. You don't You don't you're all you're all for giggles and is what you are. Yeah, Once again. It's like if I use profanity, I'll be cool, You know? Well, then, perhaps you would like to shift or no. Hold on. Hold on. What is your generation? Say, Pivot. Let's pivot occasion. Let's pivot the conversations the Niners or dubs or giants. You take it Go. Well, if we talk about 40 Niners who might have to talk about some more. Oh, wow. It's gratuitous now Standing..

"Adam Copeland Creed of Tony Ryan ahead of Week 11 of the NFL season 40 Niners on By this week, giants on by the Bears are on a buy. And the Bills are on a bias. As far as players were looking at that around by that you want to replace this week 40 on his back. They'll obviously been a mess. I know some people may be happy little breather there, especially Raheem Mostert owners. As far as the New York football giants are concerned, Daniel Jones not been a bad fantasy quarterback it all for any of the last three weeks. Chicago bears Alan Robinson's A guy for you. We've gotta replace this week, but I think the biggest one is Josh Allen of the Bills. If we're if we're talking injury, Drew Brees was a big one this week, and that's where we're going with cheese it before the break right. I had to teach it in. Then Tony decided he was just gonna say nothing. Screw your cheese. Let me just bring it up again. I'm looking at big time this week, and I've got it as a pretty high rated quarterback this week. Tony is a guy who's gonna give his first start of the season didn't look fantastic against the Niners last week, but I think there's reason to believe Jamis Winston can be a factor in week 11 for the Saints. Against the Falcons. I think so, too. The only thing that worries me is that guy Taysom Hill and what his tastes and take away because did that guy is just the Swiss Army knife, put him anywhere on the offense and he will produce for you. And I'm wondering how much he will be in the mix because we do know that Winston I think it's the first ever in the NFL. The first ever. 30 30 guy for 30 TVs 30 picks last year. I mean, who gets you yards, But he will also throw to the wrong team Many, many times some wondering. I am just curious to see what the game plan that Sean put champagne butts together. And I remember, too when Teddy Bridgewater filled in for Bree's last year, didn't they rely heavily on the running game with Alvin Kamara? And Latavius Murray for for when Teddy Bridgewater filled in for an injured Drew Brees, I I don't know if they're gonna rely heavily on the running game is my question and heavily on on Taysom Hill. Because I don't know how much confidence Sean Payton has in Jameis Winston. We made him a second string quarterback. I think he's got second string confidence in him. I think that's why you bring him in on a one year deal like he did with Teddy Bridgewater. So couple of but second string quarterback. Yeah, but also they have, like, bring him again. Taysom Hill is also a second string quarterback for lack of a better reputation. Hill is a gadget quarterback right now. They've never set him up and said, Hey, go run! Five serious downfield. Go set up and run a whole series. We haven't seen tasting. He'll even do that. At the NFL level. We see him come in for 2 to 3 plays at a time. I'm gonna design for him to either run the wildcat for him to line up a tight end for him to line up a fullback or running back. I'm not really concerned about Jason Mills usage affecting Jamis Winston at all, Which is why I've got was did rated so highly and you're looking at Teddy Bridgewater's games from last year. Now you remember, he comes into the Rams game where Drew Brees gets injured. I think it's thumb came down on a helmet of somebody when he was completely passed. They lost that game and then Teddy did not lose. A game that he started for the rest of the season. How about this? We're talking about no passing game. He threw nine touchdowns and two picks in that span, so they did throw the ball. Whole bunch. Well, well. He was starting for four. Drew Brees last year. 27 30 34 36 38. It's far surpassing. You tend to go for tenure, Bridgewater, and I think if you've got Jamis Winston, it's gonna be the same sort of thing. Now you talk about relying on the Russian attack they do. I mean, that's kind of what the Saints do. They don't take tons and tons of risks because you've got Alvin Kamara. Then dump it off to him. You could hand it to him. It's obvious Murray and just let him run. I'd be more concerned about the Russian attacks and Taysom Hill. I'm not really concerned about tasting it all. And part of it is because of what you just mentioned how much faith do Sean Payton have in Jamis Winston to let him throw the ball downfield? All that? I said? I think Michael Thomas owners could be happy this week. I think when you've got a big wide receiver like that, and a backup quarterback who stepping in there probably not gonna open up the playbook to the To the full extent of it right? Just because he hasn't. I'm sure he'll get most of it. But maybe maybe they ease it up for Jamie's a little bit so that I would have. I would imagine a lot of the number one options come. This place is gonna be Michael Thomas. One of throwing to your number one guy, and if that doesn't work, just check it down to Alvin Camaro. Let him go, so I'd expect their usage to be high. The other part of this is when he had weapons last year in Tampa Bay. He hit him. He threw to Mike Evans a lot. He thought of this Godwin a lot. These guys were good, so well. He's gonna make mistakes. He's getting throw interceptions. I don't know if they'll necessarily even win. Falcons can put up points. But get this. They give up more fantasy points, two quarterbacks, then any team in the NFL. So genius. Winston's matchup against the Falcons is good this year, and here's this other element. He's doing the same thing. Teddy Bridgewater did, and he's getting the opportunity. Now we're breeze got hurt, Which is exactly why I think Sean Payton wanted to replace Teddy Bridgewater is he's playing for a contract. He's looking for a team to take a look at him this year and say, Look, what what? Jamis Winston did for them. When Drew Brees went down, Teddy Bridgewater got a contract offer going five and no throwing nine touchdowns and two interceptions in that span. Wall Breeze was out, so I think as far as letting it fly goes or having a guy with with weapons around him, who may turn the ball over but could be inside the top 15 or 12. As far as Fantasy cubes this week. I really, really like James against the Falcons, man. Yes, especially with the matter and it's all match up based, right? And like you said the match up with the Falcons is a juicy one. And Bridgewater. Sure successful QB with the Saints. Yes, Fantasy output. Not probably not the best last year with Winston. I think you'll get some some points I had James went to know my as my fantasy quarterback for a bunch last season. And he was frustrating because Tony yards tenant touchdowns with them. He throw 33 or four picks of freaking game like you and ship you off six points. Do it After you throw its understanding. Marquita do how about this? I was looking. I was looking at his numbers, and I was like you were talking about how we went. 30 30 last year was trying to see just just, you know, looking over his game, Lodge and stuff, dude, So he's going to start this week. He came in last week and started the second half against the Niners. The last touch Tony through was that pick six on the last play of the season last year when he was a temple, everything That picks enters his 30th interception of the year fixed 60, and that's the last touchdown. That's Ah, that Davis was there was a part of in the passing game, so hey, man, you take your love said this was gonna happen. If you start Jamis this week. You're probably going to get a couple of touchdowns and you're probably going to get a couple of picks. It's why. I mean, this is the risk, right? But Falcons Falcons have this happen every week. Falcons just bleed points, so I wouldn't you think that do you think that game is gonna be a shootout? Because I have Matt Ryan? In one of my leagues, and I think I'm starting it with some confidence because I think that they're going to the Falcons are going to put up some points to I do. I think if I mean the fact is often so they're passing attack is really good. You just can't there If you got a been a survivor, Pulfer pick him like you. Just you're You're dead. You just can't do that. I mean, it's terrible. But how about how about another quarterback Tom Brady two weeks ago, we were like this guy's dead with this guy's. It's over right the same. The Saints just mauled him 38 to 3. They just beat the piss out of him. Dude on the on Sunday night football and then get this. He's the number 31 fantasy quarterback that week. Two weeks ago, we nine last week in week 10. He comes back. He goes 341 yards, three touchdowns against the Panthers, and he's the number one fantasy QB for last week. This week. He gets the Rams. The Rams have made it really hard on opposing cornerbacks. They allow the second fewest fantasy points, two quarterbacks this season, and they looked Russell Wilson last week. 248 yards, two picks 22 of 37. What do you make it? Tom Brady? He was at the bottom. He was at the top. I mean, he's a winner..

Jumps in and tweets out. The MiG mid segment reads one in five To which Merv jumps in and says, scoring more points and Larry and Tony so which is not smart. That was like Rommel, the desert Fox, the Russian general who thought multiple fought the bat on multiple fronts. We never smart to do never bring on multiple fronts, so he goes jumps in. At that point, he jobs and point differential champ. Have a parade. Invite the TAM band so so enduring re capping one which Murphy been going back and forth because he got all bent. Forgot what.

"Sports leader. There's a fantasy going on Everybody Welcome back into the fantasize this podcast F this and I'm sure a lot of you after a lot of the entries in week one and the desperation and the nervousness that comes after one week of fantasy football are saying f this creative Tony Ryan, Mike host, man, How are you? Two weeks into fantasy football. Well, him and you know, fantasy football is kind of like a radio ratings. For those who aren't in radio. We're always told to never celebrate a good ratings book and never get pissed off about a bad ratings book. And I'm trying not to celebrate the fact that I just crushed Larry Krueger in the can be our league and also I'm trying to not celebrate the fact that I won in my Greek church parking lot league. As well. But in a closer match, and they got one guy like 15 points in that game. Well, this is this is funny because you bring up the letter Kruger thing, and for those who are unaware of the can be our league. The No food in the studio can be our fantasy Football League. If you're the lowest scoring team of the 12 teams in that week, you've got to make an apology Video. And send it to the rest of the league. That was that was Larry Kruger at the hands of your team, Tony. Hey, man this week, and I think you do We double his point total or come close to it. I think maybe I think I think you can. I have that you would actually the two biggest weak ones in the league. You're in first. I'm in second at sea, right? There is why people need to into this podcast up the brakes. Do you think I know? Don't get too high. Don't get too exactly turn fast Fantasy football. Do we need to dignify this podcast by playing Kruger's audio? I don't think we d'oh. Well, we should maybe drop in a little bit of a cut. I know I'm kidding. And actually, you know the part we should play. So what Kruger did for his apology Video was he had his his son. He did it as though it was a press conference about his steam after a tough loss. It was pretty funny was like, you know, Boston, Scott carted off the field in part in the third quarter there. He's not gonna be with us this weekend, so but his kid is that I have a question about your team. Your team and he says she says, Hey. Ah, You know how you feel about the performance and hey, dude, this week made me think I took it back and get it says Hey, dude, that's pretty funny. Yeah, we could drop that in. Did you take? Hey, guys, too lightly. Hey, man. Hey, man. Yeah, well,.

"This is the the great Cafferty Tony Ryan creative Tony I from the stone faxes I have a question for you the water went on September thirteenth and three water podcasts takeover of Sweetwater because I will be appearing in Sweetwater variety of V. I. P. is next week for what's gonna be a special evening of music and conversation featuring bill Walton on when they bring that high hard one and I stand in the lean back and then just its sales were way out through the universe like a radio way the past Saturn and Jupiter Pluto through the black hole and the many other galaxies as yet and he's going to be part of like a musical project said involves some names you definitely know so they're calling it the elastic waistband featuring bill Walton and Jeff Chimenti from a den company in and of course Dave Ellis a saxophone player we used to see him in ratdog in the other ones from have like a forty five minute conversation with bill wall nice and then the music's going to start and that's the next Thursday August twenty ninth if you're listening to this come on out come on out will be a lot it was to play the Charlie hunter yes yeah that they can I can I sit in on a glockenspiel use it I have a tambourine okay do you know how to play glockenspiel not at all I would suggest you don't allow Tony to play are about goes to those guys rings of goods does in every those into a lack of whatever you guys want to do so yes in for you're going on a great pilgrimage back to where the pilgrims landed Russian yeah the British are coming the British are coming that was revere one Paul revere's famous ride yeah I got to do so about three five what is it three brothers here well is there anyone okay so you got to go back thank style the grass and then the reverse like that let me get out of my second go head before the beach got that backwards like that that's awesome it's okay so the question is your Elise can't get it again always midway through the jackass genego had you're headed to Boston do you think the giants will even be in it by the time you get there I do I do actually have a feeling gonna stick around there hang around that's after Saint Louis you know they've been hanging around for well away and all Oakley days to a couple games at the age next week I'm just saying as anybody checked in on the Oakland easily where the red the act they just don't care yeah please don't have no problem with it if it can't be the giants go always go I don't either go ETS Tony do you think they're still in it by the time of Paul and all of his drunkard friends hang out in Boston can you clarify what you mean by in it I mean what card contention it well they forget I'm mathematical possibility yeah yeah yeah I do I do yeah when you're on the you know the version I don't so grepolis sucks in the giants are done but Kaelin came next to his sister a Tatian stays the way it is I love you I well I won't say that a living I want you to know that this has got to hang in from the tee shirt you see that one of the worst if you seen it it's because I'm cool Paul I want you to take of nice work and no and not very cool these guys look at what these are yeah look at the damn scheduling and I got in my hand right here games versus Oakland a's Arizona we went on both we could win for win three of the four oh one or games when three of those at least okay for Packard seasonings out for the year San Diego for pac followed by a St Louis cardinals for paramount abandon a Dodger three pack and then and then you're going out on a road four game series in this four instead yeah wise every full force I like four games are actually yeah because they're you know a whole story unfold yeah I know it's tough schedule was no question is the question but I still think they'll be in contention for the wild card right you know I mean that's not that's not asking a lot I'm kind of agree with Tony and I think in your badge and if they have the pitching right now but if they buy the cubs they could be six and a half back baby Java cups once Marge is not gonna let that happen this still for authors to write the way this is August twenty second is Thursday right before game three of the Chicago series that we're recording this okay that's correct just kicking around the dial of topical of current events here in the bay area you an hour looking up to see the rolling stones incredible and I to go down Levi stadium just thoughts on the show I don't believe and we have much time to talk about it since people brothers and sisters are we doing over there you know I've seen the stones together in the past it's not like these are made voyage we we were familiar with the band and you know what I also got I got a you know so by the Levi's stadium had time I actually had a wonderful experience I had a good experience it was very good the sound was excellent on what the weather was not always a sure thing in the stadium it's hard agreed it's very hard I was floored just seventy six or Mick Jagger now it around like he's thirty five he blew me away Mick Jagger blew my doors off and it's like again now I've been seeing that it's crazy when I for thinking about this I saw my first own show for thirty years ago as class just me what I saw was that that was steel wheels I was nineteen eighty nine and that's that point they had not toward an almost ten years then towards instead to you I too was completely blown away at a show about what make Jagger was able to do physically yeah as a front man as well as his vocal vocal yes he was he he he I don't know I think he sounded better on this towards another door he's on a great during sweet Virginia all what a treat thank you everyone cal Macy's miss you was fantastic with Karl Denson on that Saturday was so good and nice ribbon all hunky Tom woman to the game tonight at night and knocks office fantastic off here I did that's only second time I've seen rocks on let it bleed let it but I'd never seen that yeah how old is called that roughly one of three sixty nice well I'm not the gas I love the fact that he landed in the rolling stones from but it always great and I love the show and I'm glad you were down there to see it called ensign sixty two Hey god bless him dear god bless him as far as making Keith concerned he's a youngster true put out yeah Jagger is stage banter he was amazing Hey listen they had a strong yeah yeah yes right what do you say about that about the tech he said out loud so nice to be down a is snuggled in between you know Yahoo and Microsoft and Google is a young I know what it's like after a tough day of analyzing data about the Calvo usually said to yours I believe this is our fortieth gig in the bay area yes and he said something like think about the act crazy right now because because I remember this place and that place goes on never forget the smell of the cow palace said that yeah I cheered everybody and also totaling dies by the way too nice groove in Allen okay yeah all the did you cap indeed swing by the merch booth and see the Jersey I don't tell you the truth well with the forty Niners Niners Jersey but the helmet well Liz bought me a a sweatshirt no no I was looking all came back with a sweatshirt was like really please because credit mostly rate yeah as she was like how do you not have any stones gear and I'm like you know what's a great question I I don't know don't know sees you came back and I got ready they had a Jersey is a niner Jersey but instead of it being a number on the front it was just the niner helmet yeah and instead of the SF it had the stones logo yeah and on the back of the number nineteen for two thousand and the man always would you imagine that this could be a great omen for a good start to Levi's because I feel like a lot only Janet we've all ragged on Levi's it doesn't have the the you know the restaurants around it doesn't quite have the vibe you know we miss the stick all this stuff maybe this show is the beginning of a nice run you know and I I love that Shannon and I on the from actually this morning again we're recording this Thursday a August twenty second Murph and Paul you were talking about how when they're when it's a packed house and it's a good game like the national championship yeah it was the last year and I said yes it it once in Alabama it was a great scene yeah yeah I didn't go so I don't know here said any OCW nice ego he's got a big year for Alabama awesome yeah awesome that kid but I want to say that I think with the winning and success the Levi's will be able to build its own now reputation its own character I I you know I think Todd takes time and it takes like right moments yeah right like they haven't had any big moments on the field except for like rob Lowe coming in and and do but like nothing I conical candlestick I want them to have better food options though I don't I agree with Tony on this one there's a there's a lot of money because you've been in the vine a couple times three times well I think if you look around you'll find some to satisfy dog I'm a sophisticated guy Tony's slice of pizza they do want to say a piece of the jail vegan hot dogs to the guarantee of I put in front of somebody and didn't tell them it was me it was they wouldn't know I'll take a run at those yeah all you wanted any of it you know it's not wow which is which is a plus not yeah you got wow before we do the musical Simon Taylor leading up to yeah I wanna know other than garage hello what else concerns you with the forty Niners yeah what a secondary secondary concerns we have a lot of anticipation though for the defensive line and the amount of pressure hopefully ninety four put on opposing quarterbacks I used to be with you your NYC BOCES you're you're into force Buckner's Solomon Thomas D. forget how only want to see a run around yeah but it's a secondary I'd be a little concerned with maybe some wide receivers to T. how's this for a snobby answer well right on the job I don't have enough of a of a sample size to create opinions what's the extremely reasonable that is I don't like watching the end like you watch the whole season and go see now yeah no that's like watching our job is to protect I'm saying that this that week three is usually the week where like you see a lot of the plays being around again also I thought about this two thousand in he is known for not showing anything in the you know I mean I why why would he knows what he has in store for week one right yeah and I I'd like to say that we as a gravel for a whole half aid you know my biggest I guess if I had a concern is not a concern but the thing is most important is the O. line yeah I'm fine yeah that's corrupt low because again yeah no one's talking about the wind right and he didn't get protection endeavor few right talk about you know the the life he threw the right policy right he was rushed I feel that the backup center in there I mean I mean one of the reasons Brady is so good so good he's protected he's protective over all these years that see in you never hear people talk about them pager offense of line but right right that's why Tony Romo was better than most people remember is that he had a great line rises for it only starts up front it does it really does if you think about it you know the leading passer in the NFL was answer most yards homes Roethlisberger Roethlisberger yeah I would guess what exam again yes ma'am thirty four touchdowns to like but the old line he has time he sits back there you can go through yes options one to three in argument I do give grappler time and while we might see some some goodness you're tuned into Polly's podcast with Pauline mask of KNBR six eighties Murph and mac morning show on K. and these forces fear something extraordinary has happened to Judy size more closer to making it feel more like a closet an area that once because claustrophobia now has enough space to hold all of Judy striped boat neck sweaters and Judy size more has a lot of strength right now.

Oh, my oh, no Duke already know screwed. You know, North Carolina. Is that a problem here? We do. No, no, no, no bracket handy. Jeff skis. His take a look at somebody's bracket. Can you tell me? Well, I look at Keller bracket, I do like, Tennessee. Like Michigan state. I hear liking Tennessee's not a great move though. I heard they're down and they're not reliable twenty six twenty six and five or twenty five and six. You know? And I love, you know, it's neither not gonna win it all, but Eric gimme more Eric muscleman. Gimme more Reno wolf pack. Our say go ahead. Gales Wolfpack Gaels. Yeah. I just want to for all the west coast team. Well, there's only two of those four there's Oregon there's Mary's. There's Irvine anti-terror five on Friday. That's. Do we forget? And I guess I'm considering Gonzaga west coast. Okay. No. They are fair enough. Hey, tony. Also, I always like to do this and the brackets because like I never win. But I do like the big ten the conference. Yes. Because they always put a ton of teams in. Well, yeah is also I looked down at. So if you're asking me, Tony I would do something like this based on big ten success in the past like, they're they are a number five seed, Wisconsin badgers with twenty three wins. Like don't count out a scrappy, Wisconsin Ghani. They I'm not saying they're gonna win the whole thing. But they might go around. Right. And then you look down and another team. I always like to see, and I think there are to see this year. And that would be Purdue produced. Her doing there to see where are you? Three something like that. Yeah. Kentucky is a two seat. Not the good school the pink. Anyway, Tony, I think I've done about all I can do with the bracket in your thoughts. Yeah. You know, his thoughts on what on the tournament. Because this time we're out on the road. Now, we've done this before I think it was last year. We did a podcast on the world from Arizona, and we'll probably do another one of those in a couple of weeks, actually when the Murph and MAC show had the Scottsdale. And in the meantime, though, dude, I'm surrounded by celebrities of all sizes shapes to my media left, dude. Look, he he's an alumnus to the highest degree. He's an engineer extraordinaire. He is my main man Darren Chan live from Pebble Beach. Now, dare chant obviously is a name giants fans. No because group can cut thank them at the end of every broadcast effect DC. But he's a good friend of mine. He's a good friend of the Murph and MAC show. He's a good friend of the podcast as well. DC? I want to thank you for engineering today. Hey, always fantastic. I've had two cups of coffee in the six o'clock hour, and I'm ready to go. See Tony you want to give our listeners a little education on the history of Darren champ. Paulie, MAC and creator Tony Ryan through it real quick ninety for my first exposure during Chan was when he was the executive producer of the Scott for show F O B ferrall on the bench. I was DARREN'S intern in ninety four and then Darren hired me on full-time in ninety seven. And then paulie we met because you heard me play black Sabbath while was the program director of that station. Thing you know, the three of us along with fellow. Rod Brooks became quite close. And we've watched Darren actually probably work a respectable job as an engineer while we played radio we continue to play mature kids on a daily basis, by the way, this is being recorded Thursday morning, the seventh and this is the morning after the K D thing and everybody pissed he's got everybody past. Okay. Well, why don't we start with that? Listen, we've been talking about that a lot Murph and down here at pebble. We talked about the Kevin Durant thing. Lots of our feelings have been on the airwaves already today. How do you guys feel? Why don't we start with with with you? Tony. I mean, obviously were monster warrior fans, and we love Katie. All right here, we go. Well few things here does is unprecedented. We have meant interruptions here during the pop culture showdown whatever coming into his region. But I. Notes I need to follow through for starters respect lottery respect to Michelle Pfeiffer. Honestly, I'm not getting enough Pfeiffer these days, and the Coolio the whole thing was great. I get a rough and tumble. She wins them over it straight shooter. Scott it, well, here's the thing though. Now, you're coming at me with a young Dreyfuss, dude, you're coming at me with Wolfman Jack eating popsicles is that what you're trying to tell me are you coming out, and he would told by booze and improperly throwing up, and then as cope said a more American graffiti, they send them over to now told went to fight for this country. Do you think I'm gonna let people stand around and insult this country not over my dead body and not over toads dead body, Murph. I'm going I'm going with the whole American graffiti, very well didn't know we're halfway done. And the only reason I'm going to actually do this unprecedented. Throw to a third party here. What's going on? I'm not going to tell you that Tony Ryan creative. Tony a lifeblood of Camby are one of the most important guys in the building actually helped me a little bit on this because I needed my. In the six five. Cued him because he walked in here unannounced, Tony I wanna throw win one more caveat to my American graffiti breakdown where if it's one of the best soundtracks of all time, it's a double CD package when you buy it in the store if I'm not mistaken. I loaned it to creative Tony or I don't know fifteen.

Yeah. I'm like fade. I'm getting woozy over here. The sixteenth of January. And this is the morning after the dubs just took out the beatdown stick on Denver. Fifty one point four first quarter had no idea what had them no clue. No. I just so here the numbers record-breaking first quarter for the warriors fifty one points ten three pointers made collectively Steph curry was launching threes. From almost half court swishing Klay had five on the night. Steph had five no excuse me. Klay had five threes on the night. Kevin Durant had five threes. And Steph curry had eight threes and Klay had for dunks. The thompson. Thompson like I do love Thompson. Love tom's. I love to many different warriors in different ways. Aim here. It's a really like you said last week recognize the greatness, it's happening in front of us in cherishing. I'm trying to get people to do that is what it's gonna it's gonna it's gone. I'm gonna we're gonna host each other to have. Let's let's go back and watch warrior championship film, feel something's underappreciated when I feel something's not going to be recognized until it's over or missed. I turn to Tom key for an eye drop the needle on don't know what you got told. It's gone by Cinderella. Tony if he could all my God that's phenomenal chorus. Cinderella. "And it's funny because I was I'm not a fan of the cab ways. And I'm not a big football guy. That's really the issue. I mean Cowboys great if they're on. Talk about. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure they're they're getting ready to disappoint me real soon. But I remember this interview from years ago of Jerry Jones, and I I can't remember who interviewed him. And I remember one thing about this interview. And here's one of the wealthiest men in America being interviewed and the final question. They asked him was what is your greatest fear in his response. Just blew me away. 'cause I was just suddenly clued a migrates fear is being poor. And so I thought about that. And he grew up, I don't know his plate story. But I think you know, he grew up not having much either. And I think there's something in there that causes certain behaviors and work ethic and desire in hunger. In even when you have something you're still thinking is not enough. I need to push harder need to do more and continue learning to continue Volve just to keep up much less. They had yet. It's it's interesting. I had a short conversation this morning with Tony Ryan who's been on the on the podcast in one of the things that for me was most memorable about that conversation. I don't remember which sewed it was if you go to the show notes top went out FM will we'll have a Lincoln in there. So you don't have to go hunting for it. He had just this miraculously way about how he really built like curriculum for himself decided I'm going to study this. I haven't been quite that practiced about it. But I do find that I go on I go on like, the Matic kicks, and like you like I have to work really hard to read fiction. It's it's all nonfiction all the time. And right now, I'm kind of in a memoir phase in have been here for for quite a while. But you know, it won't point. I win on this big habit management thing. But one of the most interesting adventures, I went on a number of years ago was sort of his happiness positive psychology sort of kick. And there's a lot of good books. I think what kicked off that for me was. A red delivering happiness by Tony Shay, who's the CEO of POS, and he references a number of of different books and resources in is a big proponent of positive psychology. So if that's something that you're interested in digging into I think, it's a really worthwhile effort because it is something that you have to kind of figure out yourself, and you have to work at it. It's not just an automatic thing. Yeah. Absolutely. Every single day if you know, what am I gonna do differently today, and it's bringing that positive energy everything you do. And you know, it's kind of interesting things happen. It's business in his his right in either. You know, it's gonna get you down and keep you down or you're gonna get back up and take a look at it from a different perspective in figure out how to dress that situation. So either it doesn't happen again or you can actually go in fix it. And change it make an impact. Yeah. Yeah. And it's no accident that the that the I I don't remember how many?.
