"I i probably stories about racing. And i'm cong- and manila and thailand a lot of places in central and south america. When i was there came back to the us went to law. School still did some freelancing after law school. I set up a practice. Didn't do a whole lot of equine law but still continued to write about legal issues in the business. Then i spent two years as the director of the equine division. Ed university which is again another horsing. After that i taught equality law and i still teaching law the university of louisville's equine industry over the college of business. So i've done a lot of different things. But at the the basis of all of them has been no horses primarily racing. now with our intro. We mentioned the different books. You've written what how chosen the subjects for your various books couple away. One of them is when asked me to write a book about something like an equine law. Book that i did for the eclipse stress. When that was up and running. But for things that i've generated. I look for stories that people think that they know but they don't really an example is I did trilogy of books for the history. Chris about derby winners and saying the sources. The first one of those was a book about dancer's image and his disqualification in the nineteen sixty eight kentucky derby and that one the doctor tony ryan book award. Twenty eleven. but people here the name dancer's image and say. Oh yeah that's worse got disqualified for a drug positive. But they don't know what happened. They don't know the back story and that's what the book was. The book was about the back story. And that's the same with with other books. The my most recent book that university press kentucky published wiscon- taking sugar thurgood racing's most famous cold case. It was about a very famous thoroughbred stallion that was stolen by the irish. Republican already held for ransom. He was ever recovered and the ransom was paid and people. Now you mentioned sure. Say oh yeah. He was stolen stolen by somebody over in ireland but they don't know the back story either and that for me was much more interested in the story of the session at self so i'm looking for stories that people think they know they don't really and there are a lot of those out there. Are you reading one now. Or you. On hiatus i'm working on one now..

"Covers the Giants and Susan. Today I am joined in studio by are the boys in the creative department is Tony Ryan and Shannon Caylor sitting in as Murph is out, but nice to have you on board today. Susan, How are you? I'm great. How are you guys were doing good. Susan. Just want to start Susan with Johnny Cueto. What we saw last night I talked to Kruk about it a little earlier. And, um, I don't know. Apparently, he was under the weather and laboring a little bit. How much of what you saw last night. Would you attribute to Just his being under the weather. Uh, I would say, probably significant. Based on a couple of things, he said he'd been getting fluids for three days, including yesterday. Anybody that's ever been sick enough to need an Ivy knows that when that happens, you are really, really, really feeling run and then post game. He looks terrible. Everybody knows Johnny Cueto, He's usually got a smile on his face. He is fun. Even after bad game. Usually he's smiling and kind of joking around. And you know that we see the big personality last night. He looks like death. Frankly, he looks he looks like he felt Terrible. So, yes, I'm going to say that, uh, that was a tough one. And I know a lot of people were like, Well, why I started. It sounds like that thing has hit the entire clubhouse. So I'm guessing there's probably another starter or two that was not feeling at their best. If you start taking out everybody that's sick. You're not going to have much of a team left when when something's going through a clubhouse. Susan, Tony Ryan here. I was going to just ask you if there was something actually going through the clubhouse because we have a cut of Posey postgame, saying that he was not feeling too hot either. And, um I have to ask, you know in these times is their covid testing happening when these symptoms arise, And how is that being handled? Yeah, And everybody knows the giant hit the 85% vaccine, right, like a month ago, right? Um, but, yeah, if anybody comes in with any symptoms at all their rapid test it and I think there is still pretty regular testing, even for guys that got vaccinated. I don't think it's as often I think once the team hits that 85% threshold testing for everybody drops from like You know, every other day to something more like once a week, but they are all regularly tested. So yeah, it's not difficult like it's a bad, bad cold. It's probably you know something like a rhinovirus or something. Assuming that quota was needed those lives every day. It's nasty, you know? Yeah, and people people are out and about again. You know, we're going to everybody's going to start getting colds and rhinoviruses another growth stuff, especially if they're not wearing that. Facts of surrendered a lot of things we've forgotten middle up. A lot of these things are still out there and around seriously, might that be part of the reason further over 22 slump with runners in scoring position? Yeah, they're not going to say that. I mean, no team would ever say that. I can say that. And I will say that I've got to think that if you had a team with the majority of guys just feelings, you know, bad, right? Probably not like overall, just not going to be put in, you know, out there best product, uh, consistently over 22. It's still hard, No matter what I mean, That's that's bad numbers, and you know what the Giants have dominated. Diamondbacks. Everybody has a lot to the Diamondbacks is not the end of the world, though they are not going to lose every game, even though it sometimes has seemed like it. Um, so you know if they lose this series, Yeah, Reason for serious concern, but this is not a team. I don't think that it's going to drop a seat as series against the Diamondbacks, who are just an awful awful team that you guys know. The Diamondbacks won three games. Engine three. No, it's unbelievable. It's unbelievable. Yeah, presumable like that. I pop it like that heart like almost If you tried to do that, I don't know if you could. Well last night I heard I heard flim in the final call Say that they have lost 47 of their last 54. It's almost hard to flew in mind. Yeah, I feel bad for him. Yeah. Yes, Dad, I I ran into Steven Vogt after one of the really bad game at San Francisco, where where the Giants came back from the seven run deficit And and he was so downcast and everyone in the Bay area notes. What a great guy he is that he and Jeff brother are just, um, you know, it's tough. It's tough when you're with a team that is just getting beaten down like that all the time. So yeah, I feel a little bad for them, too. But You know, this is the thing good teams beat bad team consistently. The Giants have done that. They need to keep doing that. So it's weird to say that a serious four game series at Arizona means something kind of does. What's going on with the Giants lately? Actually is a little bit of a test for them Well, said the voice you hear Susan Slusser from the San Francisco Chronicle. Obviously, she is on the, um, a gas line. Shannon Susan, this is Shannon. I just wanted to say that I've really enjoyed your perspective as someone who covered the A's for so long and your new perspective on the Giants. It's been really fun to listen to you. And I know that you've been a a Kazimir fan. And a logon Web fan, and I'm kind of wondering, you know, looking at the starting pitching going into the second half. It seems a little dicey. And I'm wondering. Are there any gems in the farm system or any arms that you're kind of looking at and saying, like, Yeah, I'm a fan of this guy Now. Is there anybody out there that we can kind of latch onto? Well, you know that we put some really good things from Aaron Sanchez before he got hurt, and he's getting closer. I'm curious about what he might be able to give the Giants assuming full health. He's really struggled with that the last few years, but, you know, he put out some night. Surprisingly nice numbers, given the fact that he really had not pitched in a major league game for a while, and it had blister issues and then you know the biceps, saying I'm not saying that the giant said, You know, that's going to be the thing that takes them over the edge. I think the trading deadline is the thing that where they really need to go out and get a starter. Maybe it two starters, you know, maybe get like a frontline starter, and then you know, maybe somebody else. That's kind of more of a workout. Horse kind of guy, right? Um, I'm sure they'd love to. It's going to depend a little bit on the market. We know they're not going to give up, you know, say any other top 10 prospects kind of guys. Which is going to be tough to, you know, obviously the the gold standard here for I think everybody looking at teams there may be a little out of it as somebody like, Sure, they're very unlikely. Right? Somebody like that without giving up. You know, like a Luciano or Ramos or somebody like that. Um, so I don't see that. But you could probably get somebody you know another very good. Starter for less. And I think that Jones would actually really like to get somebody that is team controllable beyond this year because they've got so few guys coming back in the rotation next year, right? I mean, where's Brad Penny? We need Brad Penny again, or someone like that. Is he still out there? I'm sorry. I'm sure he's available. Yeah, column far on him. Speaking of availability, Susan, what if anything, have you heard or what Can you tell us, if anything about just the status of Evan Longoria?.

I love it, And I'd like to also remind the audience that we dedicate today's show to Buster Posey. Starting catcher for the NL All Star team. Congratulations, Posey. We love them. I'm just glad to hear that. Buster Posey isn't another guy that creative, Tony dislikes. Yeah, Tony, He's already made a clearest feelings about brand coffee, man. See, this is the fallacies that have all right. You're gonna get your chance. We're gonna settle this today. "Creative Tony Ryan from the cambiar Creative department. We've got Shannon Caylor. These boys basically contribute to the show all the time. This is just the first time we've ever had him in studio on the air. And I always like to remind Shannon Antoni that the Murphy Mac show is sponsored by O'Donnell. Financial. That's how Donald Financial Group because Planning is a process for loans, insurance investments and retirement call, Greg Oh, Donald, give him a call. That's Greg. Go at 86. 6496 23 100 boys. Um, are you distressed that we've got four in a row now in the L Column, and I'd like this thing to turn around tonight? Obviously. Alex Wood on the hill game to six 41st pitch. Got it for you right here on the leader, Uh, distress concerned, and not really. But I will say it's It's an underrated big start for Alex would tonight. I think And the Giants there half came up right now in the N L West, and they I think they need Longoria back in a big way. It's hard to engage on when we're going to see him again. I don't know exactly can talk to Mike Krukow about that today, But you're right. I was at the game when he collided with Crawford. It was really scary. Longoria had no idea he was totally vulnerable. Yeah, that was a tough place. Remember that play and also my guy I've been pulling for because I love his approach at the plate is Donovan Solano, but he's been struggling of late. And I want him to bounce back. I feel like he will. He's too good. A hitter to stay down. Hopefully. Hopefully Dickerson had a tough night at the plate last night. A hard time. Yeah, there's generalize. Yeah, Yes, even with his home run yesterday, he's still underperforming. The tough here. He's just getting beat up. He's got so many little nagging, You know so much faith in Yaz, Did you see the other night when you hit the balls office Shin Yeah, we talked to Actually, Kipper came on the show on Tuesday by the way crew calls it the Shin Burger. Yeah, it's the best, very colorful. That's the best, but I couldn't even imagine how painful that must be to hit that ball would do it. So Dwayne was saying that as we sit here today and talk to him on the phone, he goes guys I can reach down right now, he said, and pull and if I apply pressure to a certain spot on my Shinbone, he goes, I'll go through the roof. So he said some day through this day. Oh, they said, some of them staying, you would know tone. You played. I mean, I've never hit a ball with my shin, though. I mean, you're not even not yet. Exactly. So the ankle you had to have something ankle, you know, and also getting hit from like in a slider that breaks down the back foot slider and it breaks down. Hit your back foot. But then, yes. Goes deep last night just to show you how much of a bad such a gamer I love that Dude. I have. I've total faith in him that come down the stretch. He'll be there. It's gonna This is the way to. But yes, And as soon as he's healthy, Tony, if your body allows well, he also he sacrifices his body like a madman. I mean, he'll he'll. He'll run into a wall. He'll die for anything that you can do more guys will And I think that that's what you know That's the the atmosphere that Kepler has created that he wants them sacrificing, and he he likes to see that guy's running through walls to try and get winds and get out. You have the same faith in Slater. Alright? Oh, I don't know, because it's interesting because a couple of pinch in appearances lately Castle has been the pinch hitter instead of Slater. Well, and yeah, I'm just wondering what the mindset is behind that, because Slater Yeah, I like him as a hitter, and I'd like to see him get more at bats. Yeah, it's going to be in it. It's shaping up to be one hell of a September. By the way, just so the audience knows. Have you ever listened to the polymath podcast? This is something I do freak. Only I asked Tony baseball questions, slash pitching questions in particular. Because Tony did some pitching in high school and college. Let me just with that in mind. What are you seeing from Quito right now? I never had Spider attack. By the way. I wish I had Spider. You know what I mean? Marcus Spider attack Yes or no? He said no. No, I think it's okay. It's okay in high school and college to have Spider tank don't know how you guys feel about this, but I'm applying Spider attack right now. My guns and my own number two or so That's disgusting to make myself feel a little better gets into yourself. And the sticky IQ. Yeah, sticking by the way speaking, there's like a pool up. By the way. I want people to know there's like, I'm not kidding. There is a money line on when the first ganja reference of the show is going to go down and we're 25 minutes deep, and I'm just acknowledging it. I haven't actually hit one yet. Whoever had pre 6 30 is gonna win the pool, but I hate to disappoint people. If I'm costing people money, I'm gonna feel bad. I said, sticky, icky, And that's just that was a stream of consciousness. So should I let it loose? I mean, how about for Tony in honor of Tony being in the room? Tony's a big Bob Marley guy. In fact, I got these cuts from you, Tony. Herb is a plant herbs are good for everything. Herbs are good for every time you go, 6 25 whoever had that on their pool their money line. I just want to hopefully a fistful of dollars. Seriously, everybody out there That was Bob Marley. Live. Go! Google Bob Marley interview. And the first thing that will pop up would be this long in a video interview with Bob Marley, That is fascinating. He gonna talk soccer. Thanks dot com. Yeah, to suck up, Okay, You're scaring me in two different directions. First of all, soccer shout out U S Women's national team. Very Mexico for nothing is excited about the Azzurri. Now the Italian and you should be too. Missouri today at noon, Okay? They got a big match against Belgium right in the euro Cup. Belgium. Tony Paula, You're you're teasing the top six sports stories coming up later in the press. Good toes forward promote. Yes, And then also we talked sticky, icky talked. You know the cannabis, right? I would like to shout out U S sprinter Shakeri Richardson. Well, you can do that, But I'm gonna bring you back to my Cueto. Question too will come on. I'm not done with you yet. We'll come back to Johnny Cueto Alright and the shimmy, But she tested positive for Canada cannabis and she could miss the Tokyo Olympics. You know, it's unfortunate, by the way that that it's still this heavily scrutinized and when it's become legal in so many places, it's brutal, because I mean, I'm not not. They don't test for alcohol. I don't know what we're calling it. Performance enhancing right, Really interesting mean the only time I've ever seen that he didn't see the story. Tell me more Tony. It's banned by the World Doping Agency. All right, And you know, she's 21 years old, and she tested positive last month. And, uh, never gets old know, never gets old, but she could be. She's a U. S sprinter that, um, her last she established herself as a gold medal contender by winning 100 M and 10.8. Succession seconds last month, So she's a favorite. Yeah, and I don't think cannabis is going to speed up anything that she's doing. Um, you know what I mean? Probably not. There's a factoring in this story that I really want to really want to dive deep in, right. So bring it to me. Do you know who? Her agent? I haven't the slightest idea, Okay, I'm going to throw a hint after Polly and see if he for for I don't want to give any hints away. Yeah, I have no idea what this is about. I don't know what you're talking about. I'm going to give you one nickname. Skeets as in what? At number 83. As in hurdling into the NFL. "Bad signal just went up. By the way. I'm Luciano Bitch. The winning is high school basketball coach for a time in the United States. Anyway. Ah, Oxnard. He was his driver, and I would just he would drive out. Pick me up in Oxnard, Famous essence. What We were like, What's it like to? It's like he's like, Well, it's like I'll just be hanging out in the hotel and then the phone ringing like midnight. I'm how you say Yeah, I want to get a cheeseburger. Get the car ready. He would bring the car running. I said, were you guys doing so we go to that We could go on all night. Burger Charlie, because you get a cheeseburger and a Pepsi usually sit in the back and just talk baseball. Al Davis is eating. The general said something else I've been thinking about. He's talking about trades. Hey, guys, like what he would do if he was the Dodgers and the Yankees is what I do, he said. I'd trade for Chuck Finley or Mark Langston. Yeah. Mark Langston was the other premier lefty at the time, so like because you got it, you got to do what you can to get the get the ace Lefty. How great would it be to watch a family Because he is proposing trades for Finley and Langston to like the Yankees would've been great to have watch the baseball game without Davis would've been funny to sit in the back. He's like, Put that partition down. I've got some thoughts. What kind of strike zone is that? Let's go look up. Chuck Finley and Mark Langston's numbers They were. I think those guys were dominant for a while. It certainly was good. Yeah, Yeah, well, so good that shiny contains it. That's my guys. Good trade for would've been blackened service 20. It was a great story that Cal was obsessed with Chuck Finley and your long, great story trying to get back to play football that can you be along to say this was around 1990 when he was doing this, and in 1990, Chuck Finley went 18 and nine with a to Faro. I'll competitive 136 innings. He was an all star. He finished seventh in the Cy Young. He struck out 177 to 36. What was this whip whip? This is 19 nineties, which was 1.23. What's his babip against? Let me give you a Mark Langston call you dad with a Mark Langston copes. Not I don't think I was well versed in very similar talent, very similar look very similar style. Also pitch for the Angels also was a 1990 went 1991 went 19 and eight with the three oo and pitched 246 inches. So these were super fans, guys, by the way, you know, big, perfect. Yeah, Like what? They were up against those great days teams, though we won't trade links to know not gonna let him Davis knows his talented go, dude. We like Tony at the ballpark Rest in peace s so anyway, eh? So you pump for Trey landscapes? Yeah, You know, it's funny. It's like the debut today. That was funny. Two barrels was telling that story yesterday of everybody crowding around Alex Smith when he made his marbles, marbles, the snap. I mean, who knows, like Do you expect him to play this year? I mean, I don't I'm not who sort of felt like She was quote here from in the brand story. Give it to me. Give it to you Go ahead and vampire for five years. I've been under the impression that since they didn't trade Jimmy around draft time, seems like we were all kind of fooled. They were putting up the facade that We're gonna move him. I don't know if we'll be alive on Sunday. All right stuff from cryptic. Just sort of feels like now, Jimmy is gonna be the guy for this year. I agree with you. Here's this paragraph in the Eric brand story. There is a belief that Lance won't be playing much while he develops as an NFL rookie period. But the more one learns about him. The more one believes incumbent 40 Niner. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo should watch out. Lance. All good manners and maniacal work ethic is quietly purposefully targeting him next. Oh, so that means I'm writing there from Eric Branch, my friends. Well, they don't think about that year that the Chiefs had my homes on the bed transition went to the playoffs and have a great colt. Stupid That that huge come from behind against a holds came from $100 came back and beat them. They had a big lead yet. You know something about coming, you know, um s o. I know something about comebacks. Murphy, Max, So don't know what he looks like, though. Just for the record, you're sitting down when he comes over. I want to talk to us on the air. Like who are you? I'm looking at that. And I'm thinking, you know that was a playoff team. Those Chiefs team Yeah, with Alex Smith at the helm, So I'm not sure you know we could see the exact same thing. And Andy Reid was smart enough to be like, Yeah, this kid's I'm thinking about what Mahomes was doing and practices back then, and he's probably the same stuff he's doing now with the same stuff he was doing once he became a starter, but they were sort of temporary expectations. We've got a quote back and you winning games and you look at the process that the Chiefs went through on the way. Andy Reid kind of handle that whole thing. You look at it now. That was the right thing to do. They did the right thing. So to season this kid for a season if that's what it takes. I have no problem with that whatsoever. And in the meantime, you're probably going to get your very, very best at a Garoppolo because he knows that he does. I mean, he's not dummy knows there's a guy right behind him. He's got to play. It is very, very best. So you're probably gonna get the best out of Garoppolo if he goes down. Yeah. I think you're going to see if he goes down. You're gonna see the kid. "As a man gotta have critical thinking time of crisis be conscious of whom you are quite as you got one brother who right. I started with us talking through the fact that you're in unprecedented time because precedent at times. We've we've gotta sit in got her flak and i want to move through this. So i'm very very Teacher i like participation love feedback love individuals talk. Tim who in here knows what is is anybody can with. Who knows what this is. What this photo while. Am ban rome on a percent on a percent. Anybody at anything else on all brother said he's Looks like a surgery a A surgery room. Okay okay devon. I think you got. I'm going either with van. Roll like a college classroom percent. So when i was a middle school i wanted to play the saxophone. So much I have selling love. was a huge kenny g. Fan riots on me. we have kenny. Jesus is followed. His is serving while the opportunity playing a year. I want to play saxophone here. I will romney all said babe's jim zone as you can imagine i was with. I was what i tell you. I wish the band direct for all he got lifted me and got a hit bet that he gave me the ask that vision outlook anybody's familiar with the aspect position. But it's essentially whatever you ask individual to do something and they tell you. Get your ass back. Been directed tony ryan thank you. This is not what you would not be playing this actor paul. You are not. You're not big enough. The reason i say that you are the tool this photo years because these arises in what you have to understand about. These wieser's is these risers are put in place to help individuals depending upon where they be seen to help individuals depending upon where they are to move back to their place of prominence. And the reason. I say that ritual is because as you are working with these loved ones were going east unexpected medical situations. You've got to become so the first letter in weiser is responsible and you might say look. I didn't get my loved one into the situation at their courage. I did with the food in their mouth. I didn't go to the party that they i didn't drive the car. I didn't do any of that. That is all their responsibility. Dale last week it shared such an impact story about his mother in. How're when she was experiencing in in unexpected medical situation house She said she was sorry. Didn't tell me with a mouse. Bessie was sorry but she told him with her is that she was sorry that now as he's starting to get older in more and more things starting to come out he's starting to realize that. Maybe those choices. I was making wall really. Were the vessels Maybe when i said to myself that i want to start taking better care myself ashton pain that i've been having or all of those much pushing away sweeping it under the under the rug under the carbon navy should pay more attention to Maybe i should ask for help when i really needed as asking if i was strong enough to handle all oh my own. Responsibility is something that now that you were becoming the caregiver. That was their responsibility. Reason why you have to become the tool is the has it now becomes more responsible. It now becomes responsibility to take care of an individual use to be able to take care of themselves but now can no longer take care of themselves or whatever reason in because you are the tool it is now who are responsibility to help that individual back to their place of prominence. Whatever that looks like it now what you might have noticed from that photo. Is you have different levels rise right. That's individuals who sitting on the bottom as an individual second third in the fourth that is indicative of that the support that she gives each person with experiencing. What they are experiencing is different is going to require a different level of responsibility. A different level of of assistance. A different level of thought crosses a different level of accurate compassionate indy. But as you're moving forward as we are men as archie men we have to take the responsibility to become that russell. So the i in this acronym is the word influence in. Before i moved to the next slide. I would understand from from from a couple of brothers. What do you believe is what is your definition of influence to take up leadership leadership. Thank you what else someone shows us the way so this way i like that. Angie what impact impact. I like that without influence. What is influence. Leave my example leading by example. I want to add to that. I want to say when you influence somebody like you almost like create a path within the follow like you influence how they will read. A pat hurt her. Whoa whoa yeah. When i think of it were influence. I picked up a flow alot. Explain that a little bit waxing influence the and fluctuation of something Like that that flow. I like the year for me. Influences being able to affect change could be positive or negative act hanes absolutely absolutely absolutely. I love every single. One of those detonations. Every single one of those definitions word.

"Wait for the drum to kick in on daily dose and you wait for me to harmonize on new kid in town. That's what you're waiting for Polly again. This is I'll tell you what. Today's have been a roller coaster ride. It's been a lot of fun. I'm really enjoying the show. But I'm not saying this wood to make a bitter that I actually like the vocal Well, e think you like that. I drugged out an old tune, which is one of my favorite by the way that Yeah. Yeah, but those were just there's a those will put me in. Those who put me in my feelings. Probably put me up to tell you want to see me in mind. You don't take it to the limit head that won't let me do it. It's not very good. Very good. I like it. Uh, running well, so good. That's probably going to need your bench today. And then I don't want to say the wrong thing At this point. I'm not even sure I don't even know. Let me think about that. The whole No. I think it is. Fry. I'm saying no, I'm saying back to Schmidt again. TV Schmidt back to Smith. Yeah. About Schmidt. Underrated movie, by the way, never saw I'm sure rated underrated. And in these days when I'm not getting nearly enough, Nicholson I probably should have a little meditation on little aging life kind of slips past you, Polly Little bit, you know, as poorly as a guy on the back nine. You might want to kill as Tony has created. Tony told me the other day. I swear to God, he said that that day. Well, guess we probably magnet. He's on his back. And then I'm like, Guess who else is on the back? Nine. Guess Who else has made the turn at the clubhouse is Tony Ryan is on the back nine. Into all right, right here, right? I also the weird kill the other day of you know, we've been welcome to the forecast is gonna bring you to your nonna nonna knees And I thought, How come we didn't hit the You know what you are you in the forecast, baby? All right, Golden State warriors copes with stamp this one. We're sending the score to New York City so they can record it on the grease board. They played basketball in Dallas, Texas. Last night. Golden State Warriors won 47 Dallas Mavericks 1 16 True story Guys and I'm quoting the great Ted last. So when I say every disadvantage has its advantage, he's quoting the great Dutch footballer Johan Cry if And that was the warrior born what a genius performance to say. Oh, really? Nine players, no center. Let's flip the script, and basically they just attacked him with this insane ball movement. And Draymond as this sort of you see Rick Carlisle's comment on dream on half the game. I did not, you know, because the dream on haters air out what's up Casey in sac. He's been Casey's been on an anti dream on kick like you wouldn't believe people just like dream on so much, But you know if you just watch the way the guy plays the game, he's all guts. He's so smart. He basically could do everything except score these days. But he's I don't know why people. I mean, I guess it's the mouth. He runs his mouth. That's what it's like. For example, after the war is lost Who they lose two on Tuesday. Was it Boston. After that game, Casey came at me goes. Hey, wait. What? Well, I mean coaxing. I missed What's up? Mercy? Yeah, a lot. The line copes is you can take it. The line was Oh, I didn't see dream on talking hard and tough after the lost of Boston so because she could take it for the GED saying they were doing tweeted to you. He texted it to me, but I needed you to translate it for me in case was going on. Does he dream on Target? Hard talking mess after that Triple single lost Boston on then needed to weigh talking about Halliburton. We talking about here five? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, He's a Brad.

"KNBR knees. Fourth reader. All right, everybody here. We're getting back into the poly Mac podcast right now. Creative. Tony Ryan, Shannon Keller with us. And of course, we'd like to bring in the special guests on the podcast. And today that is gonna be really interesting one because if you've been watching Any given sporting event on Fox TV over the past. I don't know, Year or so you've probably noticed. At the music that gets bumped on the way to commercial breaks. For example, I was gonna be honest is getting better and better Every time I turn on the game, and there's a reason for that, Tony. So you did some some Diggins of research when you found out that the gentleman responsible for all this killer music we're hearing Goes by the name of Jake Jolly. He's a producer of Fox Sports. And Tony. I don't know how you did it. You made some phone calls. You talk to your people. We've got Jake Kelly on the podcast right now. So let's bring him in. You guys formally and say Welcome, Jake, You're almost quality. Mack, Tony Ryan and shattered killer, man. Great Having you on the puck, fellas. Good to be here. Good to be on a man. Good to see you guys. They're still going, man still kicking it still So I'm doing it in this with this mess going on. No, dude. And what a mess it is, man. So any bright spot any ray of such that we can get any anywhere? Any time is always gonna help left some spirits of Jake. First off, dude. Thanks for all the great work you're doing. I gotta ask you Do you have to clear any of this? Because you have, like an identity now, do you have, like a whole purse? Ponta? Like, what Is the guy Fox gonna play tonight? Cause it could be too grateful dead. It could be people. I might get some rush. We don't know. So how do you determine the playlist for any given game And do you have to get clearance for all the stuff you play? You do have to get it cleared. There is like they have, like the music department does not like a blanket cut almost on her like you guys do with your radio for playing with that, So it's It's not like Was two different tiers. Like if I want to clear something that we're gonna go into an edit bay and edit with it and sink it to it that costs a little more money because then you get, you know, because you're really taking this song and you're doing stuff with it. But if it plays As they call live Use, which is from my audio mixtures board. If it just goes from that, it's a different tear. So it does have to be clear. Like I wish I could just have carte blanche and just do whatever I want. But there are like I'll send maybe 10 or 15 requests a week to the music department. You know, sometimes I get Ken back sometimes just get four back. Sometimes, you know, it's like it's It's a little different like it's. You can tell some, um some, like labels and groups aren't a part of this deal because there's just guys I just can't get like it's hard to get Sturgell Simpson. For some reason, it's like, really controls this music, which is cool, which is fine, but it's even even if I want to sink it to an addict like he's. He's a tough guy. You get because I'm still trying again for the NASCAR show just to try to get him get a song for it. But it s so it's a little bit. You know a little bit. I do have Control and I don't have control Jake were you expecting because I've had a similar experience in San Francisco. So outside of this podcast, I work on the morning show. I'm can be are the Murph in Mac show and I've been that show's been on the air for 15 years and over the past 15 years. I have talked a lot about like my real life identity. What I do with my spare time, and I've you know, I've seen a lot of grateful dead shows. I talk about that on the radio and as a result of that Like I've had like this whole identity kind of built in that just kind of goes along with being part of the grateful Dead community in our co host Tony, for example, he's a big fish fan. So Tonio talk about fish and the podcast, and it's amazing how people that are connected to those scenes like they really respond, and they're like, Wow, He's one of us like so I guess what I want to ask is Jake, did you? Did you have any idea what you were getting yourself into? Simply by bumping some grateful that in fish like that's you now you're the fish and grateful that God, Yeah, I did not. It is, you know, just wanted to, you know, just Wantedto play some music. You know, it started like today. I think tweezer reprise with a sound great going to break their touchdown. That's basically what it gets down to. And then shakedown street would have been great. You know, Every time you go, you go to San Francisco You wanted You know you try toe. Sprinkle one that stuff And then you just try to keep going more and more What them or, you know, you get hit up on Twitter and stuff, and people are recognizing it After 10 seconds it just to me. It's like it's great, you know, like, you know, if people want to recognize you know that part of the broadcast, why not keep on doing it? So that's It is pretty cool. Jake Jolly joining us Fox producer the man responsible for just livening up the Fox broadcast musically, sonically and Personal, Jake. The piece Sports Illustrated did with you..

"N. PRD's sports leader. Okay. All right, everybody. Hey, listen, I'm actually I'm a little bit melancholy today, although I'm also a little bit joyous because this will be our final installment of the 2020 Syriza. Nepali Mac podcast has and I want to thank everybody who's listened. I want to thank everybody and anybody who has said a kind word about this podcast this year. It's funny. I heard from some people last week. They liked the holiday installments, so we've got one more to go. This is our year in review, so I'm bringing creative Tony We're in Aleppo Crown green sweater I bring in a creative Shannon Caylor with his customary headphones on I say, Post. Merry Christmas. Pre Happy New Year. It's 12. 30 20 boys. We're almost out of 2020 hound. God's name, are you, Tony, I'll start with you. Well, melancholy and the infinite sadness fall infinite, But there is some joy and like my little many prints, stocking stuffer. Many prints that I'm holding up here says Hi, and he's very melancholy but also joyful as well. Because you know what? Let's get to the fall of 2021 maybe weaken party like it's 1999 again. Shannon, I'll ask you a question. Tony for the audience at home, held up a little bit. It was kind of a almost like what? It's almost like a cabbage patch version of a prince stall. And I'm wondering Shannon, Do you think that in princes? Uh, Life span on this planet. Do you think Prince ever made love with his boots on Yes. Hello. Question. I can't be certain of that. But chances are Yeah, he probably did. He probably did it in his sneakers. He probably did. And sandals. You think George Kittle makes love with his boots on because he or his spikes on because he probably should after his performance last week. Well, it wasn't a damn good to see Kittle back on the on the gridiron. It was good to see Kittle back, you guys and it was good to see the 40 Niners win a game. Just playing get Ah! Win. Now, Tony. If they get the win this week, they would finish the year what they'd be seven and nine. Would that be the final? Correct correctly? I think that's vaguely, um, respect, sensible given all of the injuries and stuff. I mean, a seven and nine. I know it's not what we all wanted coming into this year, but I almost I almost feel like that would be an accomplishment and do Don't put it past this team. To find a way to beat Seattle this week. I'm just saying, like their final statement. If we can't go to the playoffs, maybe we can f your world up a little bit. Seattle also quite possibly Richard Sherman's last game in the red and gold, so he wants to go out on the on the note beaten Seattle. Jeff Listen, Junior is a man possessed right now. Um And you know you got kiddo. Backing up Garoppolo and the media today we're recording this on Wednesday, December 30th 12. Yeah. 12 30 20, Right. Um Yeah, I can e could see the Niners if not beating Seattle, giving them hell of a run for their money. Kill was on the leader. I think yesterday and talking about how he's been supportive of Jimmy G this whole time because Jimmy's the guy that got him to a Super Bowl and meanwhile Kittle got a chess set from his mother. Because his mother is a fan of the Queen's gambit. Grand Kittle promise that he worked up on Jimmy G and chest So we'll see how that goes. Do you guys know how to play chess? I don't know how to play chess. No, you guys play chess. Oh, excuse me. Guess this ain't checkers. Oh, wow, Tony, we're speaking of the royal game. A little respect, Louise that while Dude Polly on Netflix, he should watch the Queen's gambit. Fantastic Show time out, speaking and Netflix, you guys as well. Kind of look in the review mirror. It's 2020. I've just made up again. I'm late to the dance with a lot of stuff in life like I didn't start watching mad men, for example. So I think the whole series ended right stand and I want to tell you thanks to your partner and creativity. Creative. Tony Ryan, a k a Q ball on the streets, you ball I have started at his encouragement. I've started watching old Stark and I can't get out. I don't want to get out. I mean, I need more Ozark. I'm actually they may be looking to see if I can get a place in Ozark Pony Show is messing my head up, dude, like at night when I want to go to sleep. I'm like you know what? Maybe one more Sark Maybe get another zarkin made before, So I'm new to this, But you guys I love dark Shan and go. Yeah. You probably love it right now. Soon it will get farcical and silly when they start building the casino. No, don't give away the money, Shannon. No, I mean that's silly. Who's gonna go see? Hold on a second. You think that laundering money through casino is something that doesn't happen in the real world? That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, you know, yoga yokels like those folks are in the TV show. They don't just build a casino in the middle of nowhere like that. Well, they didn't build a casino, and I don't want to give too much away. But you know, putting it on a riverboat. It is a different day. I want to say I appreciate how policy changes certain things into verbs. So Polly is now Czar King. So I want Polly to continue Czar King because the rewards are plenty down the road I might add, because you get a hold of you and you never made it to the end of season three, Did you No. Oh, Okay. Okay. So Holly Make it to the end. Oh, there's no question I'm not turning back now, Dude, I'm deep. I'm almost done with season one. So I've really enjoyed that. And also I feel like Tony. For me Personally. 2020 is the year of my Bateman. Awareness, Dude, My light. My Bateman. Appreciation is through the roof. Dude, I'm all in on Bateman. One of the things about Bateman that I'm so like, Intrigued about is I'm not even sure. Like what the appeal is, but like, I can't get enough. I'm not sure like do you. Can you guys help me with this? Like, what Is it about Bateman? That we're all kind of like appreciating like I can't put my finger on. Well, I mean, he looks like he looks like a choir boy. You know, every girl would want to bring home to mom to Mom and dad. But then it shows that he does all these comedic movies where they're really funny, and now he's doing this dark stuff that shows out evil and twisted. He could be. Yeah, the guy is so talented, it's you know, that's what I don't know. That's what really sold me on those articles. His performance did you guys are great assess peons of our time is probably the greatest actor I've ever seen. Oh, he's just incredible in everywhere, Just 08 minutes. He's amazing. I can't get enough and I wouldn't stop if you paid me So okay..

Many prints that I'm holding up here says Hi, and he's very melancholy but also joyful as well. Because you know what? Let's get to the fall of 2021. Maybe weaken, you know, party like it's 1999 again. Shannon, I'll ask you a question. Tony for the audience at home, held up a little bit. It was kind of a almost like it's almost like a cabbage patch version of a prince stall. And I wonder and Shannon, do you think that in princes? Uh Life span on this planet. Do you think Prince ever made love with his boots on Yes, well, a question. I can't be certain of that. But chances are Yeah, he probably did. He probably did it in his sneakers. He probably did. And Vandals. You think George Kittle makes love with his boots on because he or his spikes on because he probably should after his performance last week. Well, it wasn't a damn good to see Kittle back on the on the gridiron. It was good to see kettle back, you guys and it was good to see the 40 Niners win a game. Just playing get Ah! Win. Now, Tony. If they get the win this week, they would finish the year what they'd be seven and nine. Would that be the final? Correct? Actually, I think that's vaguely, um, respect, sensible given all of the injuries and stuff. I mean, a seven and nine. I know it's not what we all wanted coming into this year, But I almost feel like that would be an accomplishment and do Don't put it past this team. To find a way to beat Seattle this week. I'm just saying, like their final statement, If we can't go to the playoffs, maybe we can f your world up a little bit. Seattle also quite possibly Richard Sherman's last game and the red and gold so he wants to go out on the on the note beaten Seattle. Jeff Listen, Junior is a man possessed right now. Um And you know you got kiddo. Backing up Garoppolo in the media today. We're recording this on Wednesday, December 30th 12. Grand Kittle promise that he will pup on Jimmy G and chest So we'll see how that goes. Do you guys know how to play chess? I don't know how to play chess. No, you guys in a play chess? Oh, Yes. This ain't checkers. Oh, wow, Tony, we're speaking of the royal game. A little respect, Louise that while Dude Polly on Netflix, he should watch the Queen's gambit. Fantastic Show time out, speaking and Netflix, you guys as well. Kind of look in the review mirror. 2020. I've just made up again. I'm late to the dance with a lot of stuff in life like Didn't start watching mad men, for example. So I think the whole Syriza ended right stand and I want to tell you Thanks to your partner and creativity. Creative. Tony Ryan, take a cue ball on the streets, you ball. Have started at his encouragement. I've started watching old dark I can't get out. I don't want to get out or I need more. Ozark. I'm actually they may be looking to see if I can get a place in Ozark Pony Show is messing my head up, dude, like at night when I want to go to sleep. I'm like you know what? Maybe one more Sark Maybe get another zarkin me before, So I'm new to this, But you guys I love dark Shan and go Yeah. You probably love it right now. Soon it will get farcical and silly when they start building the casino. No, don't give away the money, Shannon. No, I mean that's silly. Who's gonna go see? Hold on. It's like you think that laundering money through casino is something that doesn't happen in the real world. That's not what I'm saying. What I'm saying is, you know, yoga yokels like those folks are in the TV show. They don't just build a casino in the middle of nowhere like that. Well, they didn't build a casino, and I don't want to give too much away, but it you know, putting it on a riverboat. It is a different day. I want to say I appreciate how policy changes certain things into verbs. So Polly is now Czar King. So I want Polly to continue Czar King because the rewards are plenty down the road I might add, because you get a hold of you and you never made it to the end of season three, Did you No. Oh, Okay. Okay. So Bali. Make it to the end. Oh, there's no question I'm not turning back now, Dude, I'm deep. I'm almost done with season one. So I've really enjoyed that. And also I feel like Tony. For me Personally. 2020 is the year of my Bateman. Awareness, Dude. Might might. My Bateman appreciation is through the roof. Well, I mean, it looks like he looks like a choir boy. You know, every girl would want to bring home to mom to Mom and dad. But then it shows that he does all these comedic movies where they're really funny. And now he's doing this dark stuff that shows out evil and twisted. He could be. Yeah, the guy is so talented. It's you know, that's what I don't know. That's what really sold me on those articles. His performance did you guys greater success. Peons of our time is probably the greatest actor I've ever seen. Oh, he's just incredible in every way. Just minutes. He's amazing. I can't get enough and I wouldn't stop if you paid me..
