"Was in fact Tony Romo. And so people often criticize Tony for not being able to win big games. But what they failed to realize was, oh, no, no, no, no, no, no. Tony was the only reason the game was close to begin with. And year after year, Dallas had bad offensive lines, bad defenses. Constantly, as they are still to this day, the cowboys were overhyped. And when the cowboys failed to win a ton, the guy who got blamed was Tony aroma. And no one ever thought, um. You know, instead of blaming that quarterback, what maybe? Just possibly. Could it be the team around the quarterback? I don't know. Because again, I repeat this man. We've seen time and time again. Aaron Rodgers needs help, Tom Brady needs help. Patrick Mahomes even needs help. So why would Tony Rome will be any different? But instead of look at maybe the deficiencies around him, everyone tell us to blame Tony Romo. And what's really most sad is that the best team Tony ever played on. Came during his final year in the NFL. Remember, he got hurt and dak Prescott beach came the starting quarterback in Dallas. In fact, he lost his job to dak Prescott because when Tony was healthy again, they said no. We're going on a playoff run. We had a good year. We're going to stick with our rookie quarterback. And so they chose to bench Tony Romo. And on a team with Super Bowl potential, they played their rookie quarterback. Rather than their experienced battle tested veteran quarterback could been with them for years. And I want to put this out there because I truly believe this. And I will always believe this. In that year, during their playoff run, Dallas should have played Tony Romo, rather than dak Prescott, they missed out on a shot at a Super Bowl, because they chose the wrong quarterback in that moment. Should daca been the guy moving forward? Yeah, probably. Tony got hurt every year. Tony was aging and act was the young new hotshot guy. But the question is, did they sacrifice short term? Maybe even a Super Bowl victory to keep good standing a good faith, but Dax, so he could be their guy long term. I think so. Now, Tony's an amazing broadcaster now, but I still find it a bit sad. I look around and I look back at his career and I go, I think he still retired. I think he retired with a little bit still left in the tank..

"For me lately? Business and I know that I've known that my whole career One of things you gotta watch got going to do it again, So can't be satisfied with just doing one Chicago every season. I keep going at it. Just one of those things. You gotta roll with the punches. Um, whatever, not do you present yourself. You gotta be ready to take advantage of it. That's kind of what I've done going my entire career and that's why I keep doing so. It's not like my dad's not gonna be handed to me. I'm gonna be handed anyone in this week. Start. You gotta go in there and work that applies to the world That is gonna be hands than anybody in this world. That's always a smart mantra of life. There's a Childress about what? How he says that you know what I mean. It's kind of like Yeah, it is what it is. You know, I understand it. I'm not upset about this. I'm not. I'm not Carson wincing this like when? When Jalen hurts, took his job. I understand it, and he kind of has to And his seven seasons BT he started 16 games one time Now that time was the Super Bowl season for the Sam Cisco 40 Niners, But I mean, since he became, let's they say the guy In in in San Francisco, He started three games 16 in six games. That's it, and he was there. Obviously 2017 after the after the after the trade. And he only started five games that year. But it was five and Oh, right, so it's just kind of. It's hard to like, feel bad for him for not getting his opportunities because he hasn't always been available, and that's the most important skill that you could be. Have for a team is we've always heard just be available. He hasn't been that way. If you're out on the field, you don't have any value. We all know that I got you, but I want to go back to what you said before about how you know he's seemingly okay with it, And they said peace I think it's the opposite. I mean, I'm not gonna I'm not gonna lean too much on inflection or words, though he does strike the proper balance on both. But I think it's the opposite for Jimmy. Because He's been He's three yards from being a Super Bowl champion. And quite conceivably, the Super Bowl M v P and, you know every every time he gets A little. A chance, not a little, but a chance to car about. This is undeniable. You know, NFL legacy, even though I'm not saying all time, great but a truly defined like stamp his career. His knee buckles or something happens Now there's what he's healthy, but now that it's all right now we got the new guy. I think it's the opposite. I think that Jimmy doesn't wake up every day feeling that it's okay if it ended. I think Jimmy wakes up every day, saying Man I am. I am as motivated as ever to to prove to the dissenters. And there's some if not many, that that I am. What people thought I was three years ago. Yeah, but what makes you say that? Because you don't You don't think competitors? Yeah, but I mean, but the reality is he just he hasn't been available around hasn't played This is what it is. Doesn't mean that he's okay with it doesn't mean he's not Jason. It doesn't It doesn't desperately needed or wanted for his own competitive soul. True, But when I hear him say, Yeah, trey lands because coming in, I'm gonna do all I can to mentor him. Yeah, Tom Brady men toward me, and it was a good relationship. It's almost like saying yeah, I understand. This kid's gonna take my job and I'm okay with it. I don't know. I remember this person. This is this is personal to me because they did giant drafted Ron Dayne in the first round, right in 2000 and deservedly cell because I also was hurt a lot, and it's a different position, so it's not really apples to apples here, but I remember when he drafted Ron Day, and the first thing that I was saying was, this is gonna be great for me because it's gonna force me to tea get better. And you know, I want to win my job. I wanna Be that guy that that's that's my instinct was my instinct when I hear Jimmy Garoppolo saying Yeah. You know, I'm gonna help you get better on mentor him that it's kind of feels like he's resigned. T the fact that he's not the guy anymore in San Francisco, and I don't. I mean, I guess I guess it's okay if it works for him. Works for the 40 Niners. It'll be all right, but I don't know I I don't I don't see that ultra competitiveness. When I hear a guy say that I don't think it would have gone to the league without that. Also competitive this coming from where he came from. Yeah, I mean, Jimmy Garoppolo wasn't a slouch. I know he would. Do you know who it was, I know, but he was sick and he was a second round pick. It's not like he was like, 1/5 round pick. I got it. He was picked 62nd overall by the by the by the by the The Patriots, right? And Yeah, he sternal annoys a tiny school, but they've had some pretty damn good quarterbacks come out of there, including Tony Rome. Oh, in a coach and Sean paid so Yes, The expectations probably weren't elite when he came to the door and patriot because of who he was sitting behind. In fact, I don't even remember him being drafted in the second round and full disclosure when he was drafted me and all of a sudden we heard this. This this brouhaha. A couple of years in the Tom Brady was kind of, you know, feeling some angst with his backup quarterback. I was like, Who the heck is Jimmy? Glad I don't know that kid. And then you start the look that guy, he's actually pretty good in college, Just second round pick. Okay. Now I see why Tom Brady's a little bit upset about this, but I don't know. I don't. I don't know where his drive is to be that guy. Maybe it's internal, but I haven't heard it haven't heard him say those things. Which makes me think he's okay with what's happening to him in San Francisco. Let me read this. This is totally different. Just so this sweet from Schefter, and this is why the NFL stinks. All right. On some level, it's the best, but it's It's brutal. So Broncos offensive tackle Juwan James suffered a season ending tort Achilles. Good. That's terrible. Yep, toward Achilles, working out today away from the team facility. James is $10 million salary for the upcoming season is now in jeopardy. Being that Denver is no longer obligated to pay him working out off site non football related injury, even though it's clearly is a football related injury. And then Ross Tucker, our buddy quote, tweeted what Schefter wrote. You wrote brutal. If this happens in the facility, he gets all 10 mil..

And if you were listening to the game here on extra sports 1300 Late in the game when it was already decided. There's no way the Kansas City Chiefs were coming back as much as Jim Nansen, Tony Romo trying to get us to believe that they were I mean, good on Jim Nansen, Tony Rome. Oh, I mean math is hard, but good on them for looking out for those advertisers who paid a lot of money to have 1/4 quarter. Super Bowl commercial. Because they paid a lot. And there were people clicking off. So Jim Nansen, Tony Romo did their level best to get people to hang on. But the game was already over. It was, um while I think the conversation around that this game is Mork compelling than the game itself. Unless you really, really are a fan of Tampa or Tom Brady. Or you hate the Kansas City Chiefs. I don't know where you can bet him, but they confirmed. I double check this. A number four guys. Okay, The number four prop badness went up, play happens And there's a rules situation that takes place and they're going to call in an official, you know the little side officials saying in a closet somewhere into the broadcast. Like a Jean Cerrito or whoever it is, you know, like Carrie, whoever whoever. The official in the little booth gets called into the broadcast before that happens. Roma will say what the rule is and be completely wrong. Completely wrong. 2.5 times 2.5 times over under that's a lot of times to be wrong. It is Roma. Yeah, it's a good point. I'll go under. I think it's going to be too. I would bet the number right at two. I've never been persuaded so much by somebody like I have with Chris Black recently on Roma, where He's been exposed and I'm under the black spell. I'm going over our their odds on any point, Jim Nancy, and that's it. Screw it. I'm going to Yes, I'm going to ESPN. Goodbye, Tony. They're a prop. Bet on that. Or former president Trump will be mentioned during the broadcast of the game. Why would he be? I don't know. Jim Nance, I would imagine both of them are smart enough to stay far away from anything political. Yeah, but nor Donald is not Mm. She's gonna be interviewing President Biden. "You can read him online. You can get the paper here in Austin, one of the top columnist in the state of Texas, he's been at the morning news. Is this? Sure you've been there since 1985. Is that right, Kevin? You know it's hard for me to remember that long. I can't even remember breakfast. That sounds right. 19. Yeah, And you've been the sports columnist for 20 years. Welcome to our show, and Ben's Got the first question for you, Kevin. Obviously, this was a disappointing season for the Dallas Cowboy faithful. In your opinion, What is the most important offseason move that Jerry Jones has to make in order for this season to turn around in 2021 2022. What kind of a trick question because the number one question facing the Cowboys right now is getting back. Prescott signed, you know, they get taken tag him, which they would, and then they would be out $37 million. This season, But that sounds like okay, that's something you could fix, and then they could work on getting signed after that, But only one guy has any. No. No quarterback has ever signed to tax in a row and then stayed with that team. They moved on. So I just think that that's that's number one fixing the team as far as making it better next year. They've got to fix this defense. It was just abysmal. This year. It was a bad job by Mike McCarthy. Mike Nolan, his defensive corn, Eric who, of course he's fired and now brought it down, Quinn. Former head coach of the Atlanta Falcons, and we'll see how that goes. But they can use talent infusion at all three levels on defense, mostly to me that in the defensive line defensive tackle they haven't drafted a first rate defensive tackle a long time. They took Christine Hill a couple of years ago, then the second round. He still hasn't panned out making use of safety that gives a cornerback. You could even make the argument. They need a linebacker, because these guys have underperformed the last couple of years. Kevin you mentioned in this management of Mike McCarthy after one season. What is your opinion about the guy? You were the trust tree? You could be honest with us. Well, you can bash him if you want. You can praise him if you want. What is your opinion of the guy after one full season with the Dallas Cowboys? I'm disappointed. You know, this is a guy who ran a pretty good program in Green Bay right now. He didn't get along great with Aaron Rodgers there toward the end, and certainly it started to fall apart there at the end, and Green Bay. Madeleine Flora has done a lot more least during the regular season in the last two years, and Mike did at the end there in Green Bay, But, you know, he had a great reputation. You know people across the league. That was a good hire. You know. Troy Aikman has been one of Jerry Jones, most pointed critics for a long time now and and he was all on board with it. That was a good hires. And then here we heard all about how my kids spend all that time in the barn and Green Bay and kind of reinvented himself and studied Metrics and analytics and At all this stuff down, and then it comes into the season I wrote about the first game. You know, there was a couple decisions made there and like, Wow, the honeymoon's already over the first game, and he's making crazy calls. And, of course, he had those several times this year where he Yielded to a special teams coordinator, John Fossil and and, you know, going forward on, you know, from his own 24 yard line as much game and, uh, you know, on fourth of nine, you know, just Just a crazy calls like that. Think that you would. You would never expect a head coach of his 10 year old to do. These are things he didn't do and green bag, you know, And so this is all stuff. He kind of cooked up. In that year in the barn, and frankly, I hope he leaves all that in the barn going into this next season. It reminded me of Tom Herman here in the damn binder. You know, he said, I went to the binder. I went to the binder, you know, on the fake pot against Iowa State and crazy stuff like that final question about the Cowboys in your column yesterday. You said the days of good deals on NFL quarterbacks are over. Not just in Dallas. Better to pay for the quarterback, you know, then to gamble on the one you don't know is that mean that the Cowboys must sign back Prescott? Oh, I think so. And you know, and I was glad to see that Jimmy Johnson agreed with me. I don't know. I haven't always agreed with Jimmy. But but Jimmy was on the radio here yesterday and said, you know, There's you'd be amazed at the backlash against back in this town. I don't know what it's like in Austin, but the second polarizing figure for a guy who's his first of all as good a guy as he is his teammates loving babe Baby offense defense they love you with. This was told to me not long after Gets his second or third year in the league, and I was talking to somebody on the inside. And and I was asking about. You know how his teammates like because you can't always tell. You know, it seems good in the locker room when you're in there. Of course we can't be in there at all now. But he said, Listen, let me tell you a story when Tony Rome Oh, got hurt. Dax rookie year in 2016. Then he got well back started and in this place and did really well the team was winning. But you don't Tony Romo's a pretty accomplished quarterback, uh, done a lot of good things for the Cowboys, and he was ready to return. On the Cowboys said No. You know, we're women, and we like this guy. We like what he's doing, and we're just gonna stick with him that there was not a single peep from anybody on that team about Tony Romo not coming back. And that's that's really unusual for a rookie quarterback, T Supplant the veteran like Tony And capture the locker room that quickly and I thought that said a lot about who Doc is..

"A journalist and a very Out, spoken and brave American that I've enjoyed some his commentary recently. Well now because I've been to find his conservative now is a black person. I hope my God during the whole time, you're a sellout. Have to waste energy. No, no, I'm not. Here's what I actually believe. Here's what I think. Here's what I do. Go look at my resume who I've worked with who I tell blah, blah blah. But if I would just say I'm a Democrat or a liberal, I wouldn't have to deal with any of that. It's a burden to be a conservative. It's an even greater burden to be a Republican. A lot of people just want to live their lives and not have to deal with that birdie, and so they go along with the bullying from the left. Yeah, it's it's a really important take, and I totally agree. It's almost political extortion. Where if you vote for us, and you put the correct things in your social media bio, we will not engage with you right now. We'll go after the other people and that does not allow freedom of speech is allowed dialogue. It doesn't allow different ideas. Instead, it basically Demands. Conformity, demands obedience. I sit down and obey because we're the good people and we have to go punish and destroy the bad people, and that's no way to run a country. It destroys the truth, Charlie because the truth generally comes from friction debate. And the ideas and truth and and fax are supposed to win out. But the way we hold debates now are If the left doesn't like your opinion, if you say Well, hold on, man, you're saying the police are Kind of actively going on just killing black people randomly. And just some kind of random, wild fashion. If you say Hey, the facts don't support that. And here are the actual numbers. Here's the number of white people tell by police. Here's the number of black people tell by police. Here's the number of engagements people have with the police based on the crime level in their zip codes. And it takes engagement in order for you to have a bad or good engagement with somebody. And so if you start pointing those things out Your racist or you're an uncle Tom, and discussion is over the and so the fax, Let's remove them all. And it's just we have an opinion that if you don't think the police Just out systematically killing black men, unarmed black men, and we must be fund the police because of it, You're races they have Taking us off into a Farcical world devoid of logic. Reason. Fax common sense. We live in a social media fantasy land where they can make up the reality and the truth. It's a day just place for a country to try to operate. That's that's correct. And so I guess One of the things that bothers me most is how and you've gone through it of how black conservatives or black free thinkers are treated by the left in the media. Andre, There is anyone who dares talk about the idea of personal responsibility. Maybe it's AH great country. If you apply yourself correctly, you can succeed. It's almost as if you have to admit. That the barriers air too much, and we need massive social action and government intervention. You would think that the motivational speech you would think that the idea that well Look, there's problems. But if you work hard and play by the rules, you're able to succeed in this country. And it seems that all of these different incentives than kind of merged together into the as you put it, the destruction of the pursuit of truth and also a freedom of speech. And I know you've covered sports for years and I want to get into this because I think that There's a really interesting kind of wrinkle to this. Where I'm sure you've noticed this ever since Joe Biden became president. I watched the NFL playoffs yesterday. I did notice a smudge social justice. BLM incorporated stuff yesterday. I saw a couple little slogans here in there. But I didn't see the same sort of paid programming advertising. I didn't see Tony Rome l having to kind of mention a thing here and there were back in September. If my memory serves me correctly, it was a lot of BLM incorporated kind of messaging and graphics. Did you see that the same way? And if so, is there is there a reason to that? I your catch to be a bit with my pants down because I watched the first game, Uh, Green Bay in Tampa Bay at Bar across the street from me that a friend owns. And so I wasn't as in tune with the commercial breaks is I would be if I was watching at home. The truth,.

Already can't play either. You've seen enough already. We're gonna give Chad Henny a multiyear deal. He's only in your 12 in his career. He made a hell of a play. You could see where Matt Nagy gets the Be aggressive. Andy Reid because Tony Rome Oh is like they're they're not going to snap the ball. No chance. This is just a hard count to try and get him to jump. You hear Jimmy? They just did. And boom gets the first down game over. Well, there's a difference when you are the Chiefs and you're throwing it. Yes, they can, but we'll find out My home's gonna play. It's not that easy When you I was listening to. They had a doctor on with Keyshawn J will and Zubin and he said It's easy to go. Yeah, he's gonna play. Key made a great point, He said. No doctor because they're independent. Is going to put his Medical license on the line to go. You got to clear him. He doesn't think he should be cleared. He's not working for the league. He doesn't work for the team. He's an independent voice. And he said Absolutely. If they don't think he's ready to go, he will not play. That said. I still think he's gonna be out there, so we'll see how it all breaks down. You got Buffalo at Kansas City, and then you got Bruce Air Ian's saying, Yeah, I allowed time to coach the team. They won't let him do that in. Wouldn't let him do that in New England, So we'll see where it all goes. It's gonna be a lot of fun to watch. All right, 3123323776 you make the call. Danny overslept. He's not here yet. "Back trying to all my sides and then take a time out. You walk up there and say, no play, Everybody don't jump. There's no play. Just look at the body language that there was a play penny rolling out, throws it. She's starting to the championship game gets it. This is the book with you. There's no way he's shocked Everybody. Watching that live. I thought Tony Rome O was going to have a heart attack. He was so shocked and so fired up. It was incredible because Andy Reid did didn't go for it on fourth down Patrick Mahomes. He did it with his backup quarterback and not just any backup quarterback. He did it with Chad Henny, and he did it and midfield. Like If you don't get that you're giving the ball and every bit of moment, um, back to the Browns on a really short field. That was an absolutely massive play call. Then again to my guy, Andy Reid. It was nothing at all. There was no doubt there is no doubt think everybody knew We were gonna go for that play in and are on our side. I'm not telling you that in the world here, but on our sideline. Guys just went. Hey, there's no tomorrow. Let's go. I mean, let's roll. Man. We should have all known he's right when he says there was no doubt there was no doubt on our side. I don't know about the rest of the world. The rest of the world should have known. They should have known. We should have known. That's why he's Andy Reid and none of us are. That's why there's only one Andy Reid. That was a big time. Big time play call by big red, and that's why they're moving on. Because Andy Reid is a freaking legend. And because Andy Reid loves Javi heirs how do I know? He told me on this show after I saw him at Harvey Ares Love the place, man. I love it. Yeah, And you said it there. You always see people in there that you don't expect to see houses excited. See you as you were may so I mean, we have. We haven't talked in a long time, and we just talk all the time and for no reason other than I moved back to the To Kansas City here, and it was kind of a new start. But it was great to see you and your families. Phenomenal. I mean, you had a load there now. People don't realize that that table was that was a long table. He had You have a beautiful wife and Janet your son. He was beaming Man. 17 years old. I don't get it. We're living in California. Even Javi years 17 Year birthday And I mean, come on. How much better does it get? I don't know, Coach going forward on fourth and one the way you did in midfield. This guy. This guy's so amazing Andy Reid and me correct one thing, he said. He said in that conversation that you just heard that he was more excited to see me that I was him biggest lie ever. Nobody has ever been more excited about anything that I was to see Andy Reid that night and hobby areas in Crystal Cove. And then I gotta say, man, you know, I'm all about America's team. You know nobody. Nobody. Nobody. Nobody has been riding with them. The way I have been front and center shotgun on that bandwagon if they got to go down If they have to go down, and they have to go down the way they did. Man's will be to my guy. Andy Reid. Hi, Jim. You're the best man. No, no, Coach. You And America's team. So the chief's back native C Championship game. See town. You know, there are no consolation prizes, its socks that was tough. So I want to get into all that. And I want to get into the entire weekend. 1 806 368686 Day, of course, is Martin Luther King Day. I've thoughts on that which I will get to a little bit later on. People made that kind of noise, but they did, and I'll recount that as well. And in the meantime is I'm efforting a third guest. Be thinking about what you would say or what you would do if I interviewed you. Are there any athletes listening? I mean, hell, if you're professional often you're listening. Yes. San Matteo. Dude, you know what I mean? You feel Tony? Right? Do you feel Tony runs just pride surging through that I would think so everything that's one of the things about Brady. That's always just not a river. I mean, that's like I've always been surprised that more people in the Bay Area aren't prouder of him. Or maybe they are, but we just but we seem to hear from or negative Brady. It's true. It's like you guys like that may be the greatest player of all time. And like nobody. Oh, I hate that guy. It's like well, TV's from right down the street. How about a little local love? You know, six, but, well, you know why Raiders Raiders fans. We have a huge swath of Raiders fans and in Tom Brady. Stole something from Raiders fans. Well, you know, Polly, dare I say Stop the steel. I was going to say Don't get me going, Dude, it was going so well, I don't want to go back to that. Yeah, 650. Here you go See any time you put it? That's what Marcus. I know. I know. I know. Jesus, Amy Trask is still mad about that. Um, 650, By the way, I love how Raiders fans assume they're gonna win that game and go to the Super Bowl. No guarantees. It was already preordained. By the way, ESPN. I got it. I don't know how this happened. But somebody from ESPN emailed me an advanced copy of the Al Davis thing I have. No, I just showed up in my inbox. Have you seen it? No, Dude, I don't watch football and tiger dude, right, but 650 ready for this. Here's the hate Polly. 65. If Brady would have lost that game yesterday, you think he would have gone out to hang with breeze and his family in a friendly moment, not a chance. Sorest of losers. Mm. Okay. Well, you know, listen, tragic. I was just over here trying to drum up a little salmon tail love and I want it like now I'm the villain. You know, Here's Here's a guy who's gonna loom large on Sunday. They call him Tae, speaking of the peninsula out of Palo Alto, California Davante Adams. What player? What a player on Don't forget. He had Jalen Ramsey on the other side, and Davante said he had a pregame running with Jalen reminded him He's not ordinary. There's obviously things that you could do tick me off stuff like that. But it wasn't even a huge Engagement. I just saw him over there with a camera and he was looking at me, so I just went over how they're real quick and Just remind him that you know I'm not. It wasn't in a disrespectful way or nothing like that. Just like I said, I respect them and it's a player, so I just said, Look, I'm not some of the dudes that you covered so I just want I just want you to come with me and follow me everywhere and let's get the people what they what they came here for. So by the time I said that, I mean he was a little bit like police and Ambulance coming out on the field. Gonna break up something That wasn't even really hot, crazy like that. But it was. It was low energy. Just a little engagement. I wouldn't call it all education. It was nothing. No. Make it lines. So breaks up. Polly. What? Give Sister what ambulances? What do you give me for Davante Adams calmly telling Jalen Ramsey I'm not some of the dude you've covered. Great stuff. I love hand. What do you give me for that? And Damian Lillard, Solemn blinking. I read. I read your tweets. Yeah. No. Uh, but didn't you say Washington had a better back court? Not in their game like tonight, and then the guy came at him. And then Lillard just staring at him and blanket. That's Davante Adams say. I'm not some of the dude you've covered the same kind of. Yeah, on that finally is going to get this one in here. Last one here and then Ira Kaufman will join us from Tampa. He's fun. He's great radio. He's a fun, dude. And he'll talk to us about Tommy. Tommy. Tommy. Tony Rome owe back to be an excitable boy. Yeah. And Troy Aikman. Yeah. I don't know which one's the color analyst of All those. I guess that's you know, that's what it is. Yeah, He's the one that does not the fence. So factual, huh? Not the play by play guy. He's the Colorful guy that is true. And we are taking your calls. Live at 737 1200 or 1 803 83 w away. I We've been doing this thing over 17 years. And we appreciate you listening. I wonder if some of you have listened to us for the entire 17 years. I bet there some who have it'll be 18 end. August. Maybe. Yeah, and we're also on Facebook Live and Instagram live. That's why I had to have you come on three years ago. Yeah, they were tired listening to me. Oh, no, it was because we started videoing. Well, that's why we did it. But that's why we needed you to do it. Is that why they needed you? And so today we're gonna talk about loft room editions. What is a loft room edition. Mom. I told you already didn't Yeah. Do you want me to say it the real thing or what? I thought it was. You could do either. 10. I don't know. Building a loft means that you can see out, So it's not a totally closed in room. So, Yeah, that is That is a common thing When you think of the word loft, but I can't think of another. Way to describe it, and they are commonly described as lofted room additions. In other words, and and maybe we should work. Use the term aloft. Which means up above something is up above a loft on bond. And so that means converting areas that are really really high ceilings. That have, like 20, ft ceilings and a lot of homes have 20 ft ceilings in their living rooms and some in their garages. And and a lot of the you know why those runs were so tall, like in garages, sometimes No. But well, there's no attic. Well, The reason is because you want to look on the front of the home. You want to be able to. You want to come out from your living area into the garage. And because the house is built on a hill, the living area is Had to be had to be at a certain level to be on top of the hill because that's where the majority of the home will be, But But the part they put on the garage is so much lower, and if you were to walk out on a little building, you didn't hit your head on the roof, so they have to raise that ceiling way above to the level of the existing home. They're going to build the home. And that means the garage is so much lower that they have stairs coming into their home. And so that is a situation where you get a really tall ceiling. And that is all over San Antonio. It really is. You know, we've seen it in stone Oken Alamos Ranch, where they have to go up 10 different stairs to get to their house. For 20. Yeah, so those will typically have that scenario, right? And a lot of people think. Well, why did the builder build this garage so tall? Leslie wouldn't so you could actually get into it from the main living area. And so then the next question is also okay. That makes him for why didn't they build me another room up here? There's room for another room up here. I would love another room. Yeah, And so they're right. S so a lot of people are right about the fact that you can put another room up there. But but you know what? They're wrong. How much it costs. Yep. They think it should be really, really cheap power to alter their give me a room for $10,000 or $8000. And the first time I looked at one. I probably thought it was like eight or 10,000 also But there's a lot that goes into it. Support the floor. Yeah, just gotta go completely over all your cars, and there's no walls in between. And that adds some cost. But the good news is, it's not as expensive as another type of room addition. Well, that's good. It's lower priced and you get a big size room. Yeah, you do. It's usually a very large space and very, very multi functional. You could just do just about anything up there, and sometimes some of them are not so tall. They're just collect in between, like you could get a 7 ft room up there. Room with 7 FT. High ceilings. That's a little short. Yeah, it is. But you know what? You could use that force for storage. That's true. And so people will come in. And of course, how far you go into converting these rooms. Has a lot to do with how you know what kind of ceiling will you have and so forth, But it also affects the cost. So if it's a storage room, that means it doesn't have to be a seat. Temperature controlled and yeah, if that's what you want now, it can still be a temperature controlled, but it just means what you need to four on and so but But you know if even if it was temperature controlled, and you had a duck running into it It might not be that expensive..

"To 12 noon Pacific time when I first got my big break in my first talk show, Actually, my first talk show was one hour. Nightly show one hour in Santa Barbara. And then I got a job in San Diego and I got a five hour show is kind of a step up. Actually, I had to describe Saturday's show. First, I would do one show a week on Saturdays for four hours. And you know, it was great. Was fun was a blast. Four hours was very different in one hour. Then I got a nightly show that was five hours, five hour daily show. And then I started kind of spin it back. I went from five I went from being on at night to the middle of the day I went from 5 to 4. And then I went from 4 to 3. I'm like, Damn, I'm smart man. And I'm working less. That's not really true. I was working the same amount of time but on the air, less some on the air less and I'm making more money. I'm like, man. I got this thing wired. Imagine me rolling out every single morning and doing a Rome minute and getting paid for three hours show. Yeah, that was too good to be true. If something seems too good to be true, it is. I got stuck in three hours. Now I'm paranoid. I'm not coming here every single day. And then you say, Hey, yo, Hey, smart guy. Now it's four hours and not always in four hours. But you're paid half of what you made for three hours should get my mouth shut. Yo! Speaking of money. Reaction. Hey, Jim, while I didn't watch the Knick broadcast, I do love the idea. "Is fired up. Like she's in awe of upon. When was the last time you were ever as blown away by anything as she was the first time she saw a pun. Can you tell me here? I mean, don't we all remember where we were The first time we saw a punt know none of us. Remember where we were The first time we saw upon you know why. It's football fans. We hate punch. That she thinks is like the best thing ever. Because she's never seen it before And again. She was wrapping a lot of people who were watching on Nick that day. Now, here's where things get really funny. According to The New York Times. 15 year old Gabby Green, who does not watch football was sent 800 pages of game notes the week leading up to the broadcast. 800 pages, a freaking phone book of game notes. Since she's 15 and her mom handles a lot of her business. Her mom emailed a producer and said, Quote. Hey, what do we need to know? From this 800 page packet. End quote. According to the Times, Gabby was told that she would be receiving a one sheet. Like a cheat sheet, one sheet with team names, team colors and some star players. Instead, she gets the Magna Carta of football. Turns out I went to the wrong person. Those 800 pages apparently were meant for Tony Rome. Oh, not Gabby green. So at this point, I'm not sure what I like better. I don't know what I like better gabby green, asking for or expecting a one sheet and getting 800 sheets. It was supposed to go. Tony Romo or the fact it Tony Rome. Oh, has 800 pages of game notes. Absolutely incredible. First of all, give it up to Tony and my fine colleagues on the production staff at CBS 800 pages. I've done this a long time, right? And I've worked for all these networks. I've worked for CBS Southwark for Fox Work for ESPN. I know these production packets. I've seen them. I've received them. Depending on the show that I do sometimes I get them sometimes I don't. I've never seen an 800 page packet. All right. So what's more impressive. Compiling those packets. Or reading those packets, almost a tie for first No wonder Nance and roam O r so damn good at their job. I mean, it's because they're so damn talented. And they work so damn hard. But they are obviously well prepped. I've seen this like I don't get those production packets. But because I appear on the NFL today on CBS, I sit in the production meetings. I know who works on these things. Extremely talented people, extremely hard working people. What an 800 page packet is amazing! And I'm sure Gabby thought so. When she got it. Imagine, like, Hey, Mom, do you have to learn all of this? Sorry for the mix up with the game notes and one sheets, the broadcast it extremely well. The one on Nick was watched by over two million people. Which is almost as many people as pages off Tony's game notes. The only thing that would have made that story better is if Gabby's mom never emailed, CBS And she and Gabby tried to learn all those notes. Imagine 15 year old Gabby in the first football game. Taking Nate and Noah to school and dropping mad knowledge because she learned the entire packet. Imagine that because she read Tony Romo's game notes. How awesome would that have been in the air? Imagine like Gabby just going on Tony Roma with it like predicting every play before it happened perfectly. Like nailing everything before it happened. And if, in fact she studied that whole packet she probably could have In the meantime, it is what it is. It was what it was. It was fun, man. It was awesome. Again. We all hate puns. Nothing against punters. We all hate punts list now hype. She is on a punt air man. I can't wait until she sees her first recovered onside kick. Wait till she sees a fair catch. Oh, All the way up in the air. All the way up in the air is one of my favorite reactions to a play on any field..

Yeah. Concert. Some of some concert. Yeah. Who was it? It was the Children know Zac Brown know what's coming. Disney was getting Chesney. On Dwayne of going out and hanging out, and it was chilled. No one really Only way. Tell me, Tony when Tony was a little drunk who was strong? Don't everybody was? Yeah, I mean, Charles was sitting on my lap buddy of the night. I think I saw a picture of it somewhere. But, you know, that s O. I mean, the reason we bring this up, because the Indianapolis um Forget with you. I forget the dome is called. Now it is the RC, not the R C. A Dome, The Lucas oil Lucas Oil Lucas oil, which is a great venue. Great venue. It will host the NC double a tournament in totality, meaning all of all of it. So every round on they're all be, um, in a bubble, so to speak, and I think it's the only way to go about it, especially Considering that we know that the vaccines around but it's not gonna be widely distributed enough to be. I think impactful for every single potential team across the country Now they've also come out BT with a minimum number of games that you have to play, and if you saw this, Yeah, the 13 games. Yeah, I mean, That's not a representative sample at Sienna just played their first game two days ago. That's true. One game. Think about 13 games. I know. And Villanova just shut down again. Yeah, I mean, they're not unique to. I mean, everybody's doing this, but Yes, I'm fine like that. I don't even get wrapped up in that. I mean, if it was, like, four teams or eight teams, then we'd be kind of analyzing this the way we did the college football playoff. You get 65 teams. They'll find some of us in a couple of teams gonna get hose. That is what it is. But what I'm gonna really miss Morton Anything is that You know, First of all, when you had that each site has a different energy, Like a couple of years ago, I finally got to go to Dayton ST John's play in the first four. The plant Arizona State against Bobby Hurley steam and I've never been to date and I'll be honest on TV. It seemed like So like who the head wants to play in the first four. It's only you know, really in the tournament is such a great historical venues and such an energy in that building and the city takes great pride in it. I was happy to have seen that with my own eyes, and then you get to each pod. And you know when, when that underdog gets a couple of threes out of the chute you get all right. The crowd starts to gravitate toward the underdog. We might have the biggest like you got it. It's just it's gonna be and you can pipe in all the crowd noise you want. And we'll do a good job with it. What? You can't account for those wild fluctuations. That's good. That's that's the best part of the tournament. All right, Sam turkeys want me to bring this up. What is it a lot. Bu. We gotta check this out on social media. Bu just wrapped up a game against Holy Cross. They played with mask on. It's ridiculous. Why you playing with man come by. We're gonna play with masks. We'll get to that. A couple of minutes. We'll get a couple of minutes that is protecting our company. On Navy Federal credit Union. Our arms are wide open to the Army, Navy.
