"There guy. You're Neil Armstrong for that franchise if anybody could walk away from it, it's him. And if I could see the confetti I could see him holding the trophy I could see him on the back of a fire truck. I can see him back doing all of those things. And then July first hits and wait Coa Coa Leonard is LA clipper. He's, he's a Laker. He wouldn't surprise me unlikely, but not the least bit surprising. No, I would be more surprised with Katie lose leaving than with coli leaving. Be way. More surprise winner losing Golden State, winning losing Golden State because if they win is because he returned and they lost is because he wasn't there, either way you're looking better than you were two years ago when you first joined the team because now the Knicks the narrative you writing coat-tails completely change, even though you're two-time finals MVP. They're still people with that narrative. But this time go round if you come back and you come back and win a championship is because of you. And if they lose because you weren't there you think we see tonight. Yes, yes. Almost half. Do you have a enlists? He has a torn achilles or something crazy like that. You have to he has to give it a go. He has to otherwise he's going to get destroyed on social media, and independent means that doesn't matter if he okay. The quote unquote half do didn't he have to game four no, no was, I the obvious answer being that if you lose it's over. But they, they were in deep trouble going because they look they played four games. They've been outplayed in three and a half. And they've been playing off the they, they had that third quarter in game two was a warriors hit him with that was eighteen and nothing run you take out that little six minute window or whatever it was. And Toronto has controlled across the board. So this idea that, well, I'll wait until literally were on the precipice of losing the series, as opposed to let's still try to 'cause you, you're not messing around with game four and I can't imagine that his health is dramatically different between Friday night and Monday. I mean maybe it's slightly better. But nothing significant in my health is different. Kendrick Lamar Kenji. Lamar can't be your answer for every question. I was going to say the that we've talked about earlier by name already. Faith even yes, faith. Evans not her either. No fine. Who is it? Oh cat now. There you go. Happy birthday Kate Upton. Day. For some reason, in like squeezed in a peak Lenzi, lo Han, even though. Yeah. Well, we're developing theme. Overall preference Palley. I'm pretty sure I know how to draw your perfect woman now just based on today's birthdays, Stephen shot. We do it or probably not. All right. All right. We'll do leave it for the insta- story. According to the undefeated Tony Parker has told the undefeated that he is retiring thirty. He played in twelve hundred and fifty four regular season games, he averaged fifteen and a half points. Course multiple time champion with the Spurs. He's going to go into the hall of fame. So Tony Parker had an amazing career and apparently, that's the end of the line for teepee. Tony is probably shall we say, I bet a hall of fame. No. C C C's. We. He was in Spain when he asked. Wins the puck. I I do overwhelmed. We do not study say performed very highly. But now I think he's going to be wanted. Appropriately. We. The first European to wins the finals. MVP. Predict the Vicki weeks. I think turn it is doing the right thing. He said goodbye. A year ago. Yes. No. Instead of going to shallow. Madison Bumgarner and Tony Parker occupied the same stateful while we'll just say that. Could it have is fifteen point five points, five points to six two point seven the numbers themselves? That's good to know. But it's when he performed well, he performed real estate in hints. He should be a hall of Famer four time, NBA champion, probably stopped his bedroom..

"I I personally think he's going no matter what I think he feels he's sort of done his thing. He's been the man. He's been an MVP at least in the finals that is so to go and have your own team. And that seems to be what a lot of those players are wanting to do now kyri leaving to go to Boston Kyrie maven leave again if he wants his own team. And I think he does that I still think he leaves even if they win, and it's always easier to leave if you win because you literally don't that's how it was so easy for LeBron delete right in. And so once you give your city something or the city, you're playing for you don't feel like you owe them anything, and you feel like you can make choices for yourself. They've already won there. I think he's going to go to New York. A lastly palca soul is joining the team. That's coming into town tonight. Thank god. But we saw bought out by this Spurs, which is funny because there was a story out there, and we talked about it in trending a couple of weeks ago. Mike, you may remember where pow console a Spanish ESPN deport says reporter was reporting that gazelle one. Buyout. And consoled tonight. Is like, oh, I don't know where that's coming from. And I I remember telling the story. Tony Parker this habit as well. He had a conversation with a French journalist about kind of the difficulties of playing in San Antonio at times. And it got back obviously over here. And he's like, oh, no, no. I don't know what that You know most. that most translation, I bet you. That's what happened to pow. He probably told this guy. Yeah. Probably looking for a buyout in Spanish never thought that it would get back to here on the English side. Which is really a dumb move. He's much smarter than that more love for a spa. But here we go pal is is out with the Spurs and in with the bucks. Are you sad? He didn't even consider the Lakers. If he wanted a chance to win this year which had to be the sole focus of it. Then. No, I'm not surprised and that's a team that can get to the finals without pow. Right. And he's only going to have to play what few minutes a game ten minutes. Yeah. Fifteen maybe chops desk. St. he's a great passer. He super smart he can adjust to any style. He hopefully still quick enough to get out of his way. But if he's not it doesn't matter because the do can bend his body. Judge Ovalles, plastic man or elongated man, if you want to know ADC terrible character didn't work, but he stretches and moves so well that I don't even think. Yes. Get out of his with Freddie, junior hanging out today on this show coming up next, Freddie, AC green gonna stop by Andrea this year outside and he's going to hang out. "Yeah. Here. I mean, the success that Dallas has had over the last twenty years. I mean speaks for itself. So this is definitely a great spot for him. He has Luca Danni kits to build around. It's time. They're starting to look like a a San Antonio Spurs. The franchise built around his international players. Let's see this. They they get one more those guys say like a Greek freak. Ginobili? Tony Parker Dotan's internationally. Yes user, you're certainly right. Having those three guys together. And by the way, KP being just with Dirk for the rest of the season. I know Chris app said he's not gonna play the rest of the season. But he doesn't tend to be around the team more than he was intending to be New York. He loves her Qurqus, his idol growing up and the idea that he can be with them in practice MD with him to come over to dinner KP brought up today that both he and Luca are fluent Spanish speakers because they play these in Spain. So they have that in common. Also there to languages they're going back and forth in feels feeling right place. If if he can get help like that is a big part that people aren't talking about. Know, what this one of the things I said on Jalen Jacoby on Friday is that that was a part of why the Knicks traded him is because there was a belief that physically his body will not hold up in the next contract. And that could turn from in March turn from a guy who's a great performer guy who's in street clothes more than he is in jersey. And that's the big thing that we got to watch out for if I mean if that really does become not just a red light. But a flashing red light that disrupts Mark Cuban's twenty year plan that you just heard if it doesn't could be pretty good. Let's get to the next tweet. The Lakers have offered a new package.

"I don't know what they do. I mean, we already knew they have problems with their defense early in the year. They picked it up. He's a big part of that. But if he's out you can see the deepest struggle. And maybe they they have to figure some things out. They will have to figure some things out. There's no question. Yup. Definitely will. And by the way, they're figuring out right now by just making sure that James harden makes everything he throws up and that's been a good formula so far, but they're going to need that to continue. Meanwhile, lost in all of this was the fact that Tony Parker still in the NBA Jesse is Hornets went back to San Antonio Kemba pumped in thirty three, but it was an emotional night for Tony Parker back in San Antonio as the Hornets walked out of there with a win beating the Spurs snapping San Antonio's seven-game home winning streak. He got honoured before the game had the two minute video. You seem to me that video. He certainly deserved. Of his career highlights. Great hug would pop during that game. I mean, listen, it's a guy who wanted to keep playing been playing forever wanted to keep playing wasn't going to be in San Antonio. So heck, go go. Do your thing. Man. He's averaging like eighteen minutes a game about nine point two game in Charlotte. But it really is. He just kind of fell off the map as far as you know, what the Spurs you always, you know, while they're not the most exciting team as we say to talk about all the time. You talk about them because they're usually, you know, right up there with Popovich which Charlotte now, and so things not going as well there. But a nice reunion. Nice comeback for him in San Antonio got really treated while by the fan. Parker's words were draining. Mentally, emotionally. It was just an awesome night. Just wanted to say thanks to the fans the way they reacted was just unbelievable cherish it for the rest of my life. A huge part of those four championships. Right. Was there? And it was it was nice to see that that that that that hug with him pop after.

"What you're doing historic? Get some rest. So, you know, he's a little blase, but it is easy to sort of like Slough this off, right? But it isn't credible. What he's which amazing? It's amazing what he's doing. But he's been doing it so long and so often, I don't think it's amazing even to him, you know, at this point what he's doing. And and he understands more than anybody. What went on last year they were in prime position to knock off Golden State, and they didn't do it. So they know they have a next step to get to. So all of this is just kinda fluff on his way to an MVP season with the way he's playing right now, especially with LeBron out. Now, he opted to coupon. Maybe the the two favorites in this. You gotta put Anthony Davidson as well the canes. He's having without question. But he understands this is about where they're going to end up this year. He understands we'd skewer him. He spent time on it like. Lebron James you get to reflect on your place in history because you've already cemented a legacy. If you're James harden winning another MVP in going to help you when we come ring counting for you. If you decide to get a little too vocal about the things you're doing historically. That's how we would respond. And so James harden, keeping a low profile about it. He knows winning is going to be ultimate measure for him. Now, I swear to you as this goes on, and I get it. They were young at the time, and who they were playing, but it is remarkable to me that a team that consisted of a one time. Kevin durant? Russell Westbrook and James win amazing. Never found a way to win up. Right. Never found a way to win the three three full beard though for him. Doc on that team as well. They were they were pretty good. But I mean, still the beer wasn't as long. Good. The the magic power the beer sixth man of the year. It was six James harden, very different Kerry. It's incredible. That that was the first of LeBron's titles that year, but you look at that team now with where those players have all gone, and it's like dude, those guys couldn't get it together and find a way to win. It's a it's really remarkable staying in the NBA Kemba scored thirty three and Tony Parker enjoyed a triumphant and emotional return to San Antonio as the Charlotte Hornets beat the Spurs one zero eight ninety three snapping their seven game home winning streak. Sure in all honesty. Can I don't think I'm Rahman say casual basketball fans are saying Tony Parker still playing. Tony Parker went to Charlotte doesn't start the place about what nine we're calling out by the way too casual NBA fads, Tony Parkinson, Charlotte. You can't name those divisions. I mean. I mean in all honesty, right? I mean. East could be that too. Also true guy still wanted to play. And obviously no issue with that. Obviously it all eighteen minutes a game averaging nine point two game. Nice tribute video to him fancying his name out there. He got that warm reception. That quiet Leonard didn't get going back. There. Danny green did when he came back with Kawhi because I didn't get it and Tony Parker did deservedly. So Tony Parker is one of those guys that fits right into what the Spurs narrative is always been Tony Parker. I mean for a while one of the guys that you could say foul line to line one of the fastest players in the NBA when he was at his peak. There was a guy that seemed to slice to the remedies and every once in a while down this last stretch you saw him touch that. But fewer and further between as it went along with him in manuals. We watch them ace age gracefully in San Antonio. Plus, he's French. So that's that's always cool. It's always fun. Hey, look at the French guy doing well. Always a good time. By the way, he said it was draining. Mentally and emotionally. It was just an awesome night. Cool to see the damn Parker and pop when all of that was.

"The NBA Saturday games on ABC begin with the thunder. And Sixers three thirty eastern then in our primetime game at eight thirty eastern the Lakers on James harden. And the rockets by the way, speaking of the Lakers. Here's Luke Walton on why he still trust is young core in the bronze absence. Believing this group where is that belief out there 'cause I see him every day? I see the way that work. You know, I see I've seen who we can't be, you know. Two big wins last week when we're actually healthy Lee went on the road beat the defending champs. You know, we've had at times, I know what this group this capable of. You just heard Louis Walton's response to the Lakers embarrassing loss to the cath the dropped from fourth place in the standings tied for eighth after losing LeBron Christmas, so Kevin how much pressure LeBron's actions. Put on Luke depends on how much runway Magic Johnson Ropley plan to give them. I mean, they did not furnish him with a roster. That was designed to survive an extended absence of LeBron James now, if you wanna put that on Luke you can what I see a guys three coached up to top ten defense. Despite the fact they're on a lot of rate individual defenders on that team. Maybe that makes me a Luke STAN. But I just think at some point roster construction should be put under investing under examination if we're going to look at the fortunes and hazards of one Luke Walton pressure, a classic example is look at Cleveland. Now, what LeBron that's how good he is. I mean, he elevates this team. Once you put running a mix a top four team. I mean what what expectations can you give the Lakers without this guy? By the way, the Cavs in his second stint. We're four twenty three when LeBron okay? The origin. That was five hundred was Miami. They were nine nine when LeBron playing three hundred dollars actually relatively. Actually, doing better other teams. That he's under serious serious pressure to be the front office in Los Angeles. I think there's people think no matter what he's going. He's getting evaluated anyway at the end of the year. Right. Because you know, you've got new GM new president everything this wasn't there higher. Yeah. So he's going to get garland. So what happens Magic's endorsement or after the admonishment or bereavement or whatever it is at two and five was tepid at best. Right. It's will reevaluate the your barring something drastic. What is drastic even means? So I don't think he's on as safer footing. As you think? Now, the good thing for Luke is that Jeanie Buss is obviously in his corner. And that would be something that hurdle. Magic would have to clear in Paul brings up a good point whenever you're a coach who was not selected by the current regime. Dear is always a certain moment. Always always doing Casey rule. Right. Okay. All right tonight. Tony Parker makes his return to San Antonio for the first time signing with the Hornets. Last. Off-season Barker told ESPN's Michael c right? That it decided to consider other opportunities after coach pop told him that he'd be the Spurs third string point guard recently coach talked about facing Parker and his love for him. Let's take a listen to pop. Always going to be part of my thoughts, especially young man. You know, a second daddy to over the years, his son all kinds of ways. So, you know. He's just a friend for life. Somebody will always care about. So you'll be great to see him. When I come back into town. We go there. Shahal you think it was the right time for Tony. And the Spurs depart way apparently not I mean, Tony Parker has been very more than serviceable. I mean, he's been a good backup for the Charlotte Hornets. I thought he shouldn't retired there. I mean, they gauge nobly some extra years when giannoli was pretty much done..

My oldest daughter. Ask what I thought I didn't tell her. She was stupid, but she has something that was questionable. You think anybody will do Tony Parker tomorrow night? No now, and my daughter's defense she and her husband are selling their home and currently looking for another home. So our head could have been clouded. I go why in the world would anybody, boo? Tony parker. And then I thought to myself self somebody will somebody will because there's always somebody that's in attendance that should be. Yeah. Tony. Spurs says we're not giving it to you. So time is already decreasing is going to decrease more. We got other guys want to look at. Kony just trying to make sure I guess if you can call that kind of money. Yeah. So he went to Charlotte. I imagine the Spurs will honor him in some special way tonight. Have a tribute on the Jumbotron at the very least. Yeah. It'll be just like the one. They did it for. Do it for Tony. And it'll probably come in the pre-game. I hope so that's probably going to be it should be at this point until they come till he comes back to retires jersey right until he comes back and signs a one day contract with the Spurs retires jersey. Here we go your comes to be. Yes, there's a lot going on as I said, we've got some great gift forgot Kevin Phillips. He's the media director over at campus reform dot org. We're starting the year off right Kerry with some campus nuttiness. Hey, that's awesome. Crazy stuff going on on campus on campus in this by the way. Can I say this for the local audience? It's kind of a big deal coming back tonight. Everybody's talking about on social media right now. Yeah. So I feel as though I should filling. Everybody listening outside of San Antonio. And again, that's a ton of you millions and millions of you. And I love you like crazy love. Nutshell. Leonard was the up and coming star of the San Antonio Spurs when Tim Duncan retired and retired. This your manager nobly in Ben Tony Parker into the going to Charlotte, which doesn't make sense in Charlotte uniform, but it's sort of the tea was handed over the reins were at least, we as fans got the impression that the rains were handed over to Kuwait Leonard. Leonard is a perennial all star a two-time defensive player of the year. He's a one time MVP of the NBA finals of leaving twenty fourteen. And the guy was the face of the franchise going forward. I got hurt some sort of a quad injury quad is at your by and. He didn't he didn't play but nine games last year. And when that was going on you had Tony Parker cannot make comments. Come out comets. They were the leaders of the team, and they make comments about how they want him to be back. I guess the Spurs doctors, and those that are no I'm talking about basketball, San Antonio Spurs, the Spurs doctor said he was cleared to play. But I guess he had his own team of people that were looking out for him saying that he wasn't cleared to play long story short. He never ended up playing another game until the end of the season last year. And in fact, he wasn't even on the sideline anymore. Even in the playoffs. He wasn't sitting there rooting on his team and the word that we are getting was that he had a rehab in New York. So he couldn't be with the team yet right after the season ended for the Spurs. He was spotted in L A at a dodgers game. So there's something going on there that I don't know about that the organization isn't talking about. I don't know that I blame. I don't know that I blame the Spurs. But I do know this tonight. He was he was traded to the Toronto. Raptors. And tonight, he the raptors come back or come to San Antonio for the first time while he's on that team. In the bigger scheme of things. It's not that important a story. Although if you understand the way San Antonio works, the Spurs of the biggest deal, rightfully so it's a great team has been great for a long time as long as the coach stays out of politics, huge supporter of his and at the end of the day. You've got a team that has won for years and years and years, even when they had personnel that probably didn't present itself in the best way to possibly win. So Carrie what happens tonight with Kawhi? Leonard comes back because we the fans I believe blame more than we do this. I predict there will be lots of booing tonight. Recall. Here's the wild card though, Danny green was traded along with Kawhi nobody suggests that he wanted to be traded with Kawhi. So does he get applause and cheers does quite good booze? I think so. Yeah, I don't think there's a there's not a lot of hatred. I don't think for Danny green and San Antonio. But there is for Kawhi Leonard. That's what I think's going to happen tonight. You're gonna watch normally watch not normally I guess it. Just kind of depends tonight, though, I'll be interested to see what happens. Yeah. It's gotta be interesting for sure. So I just wanted to to start out with that. Because that would be remiss to not make mention of that. And by the way, if you're in some other city, maybe Boston or whatever if the Yankees are coming to town for a big playoff series. I would talk about that as well. But yeah, in San Antonio, this is this is what goes on this is it's like breakfast tacos in Spurs not necessarily in that order. Yeah. So we'll be watching very closely wants to talk just a big. And this does not relate to Leonard or the Spurs of the NBA this relates to youth in America. Now, I say that and I want to be very careful about how I say it because we have a lot of young people listening carry our ratings are great with young people. They're great with women. They're actually atypical of talk radio. We have the TESL big time term the using the business time spent listening people generally listen to our show longer than they might listen to other talk shows. So that means that we're talking about. Thank goodness. We're talking about something that's interesting or the like yelling at me or they love the chocolate voice of. Yes. Whatever it is. They're listening, and I appreciate that. But there is a percentage of a faction of the youth. And I don't know the actual so I'm not gonna pretend that I do. But the loud, I would say the vocal minority of youth that just don't have a clue dude. When I say that do you know what I mean, Kari or not I think I do I think I know where you're going with this. Late night incidents, Magic Johnson, linking wink, wink in and then get in finding stuff. No doubt, but thank goodness, Kobe or somebody said what they said to her to get her to do it because it it's rare where you can say right here is where changed they've usually it's a draft pick that maybe develops over time or you get the number one pick and you can go and get a guy and Anthony Davis LeBron who you just know. Slam dunk on excellent player, but in the middle of the season to make an executive change to make a general manager changing, have a go on just stop on a dime and go back in the process of direction. That doesn't happen very often with the Lakers. It feels like it did from the second magic and rob God here organization felt more lay Kary almost overnight. Yeah, absolutely. The decision making believe it when I say this, what magic and rob showed within the first few months of taking over to organization was all brawn. James needed to know that there was competency and Laker land. Again, when you look at being able to trae Lou Williams, spin that into a pig, United pick became Kuzina Kouzmin. Right. What does that tell you now only were they smart in terms of getting a future player, but they found these still of the draft coming out the gate. So when you look over and you see that you go, okay, they have credibility. They have gravitas, and, oh, by the way they're competent. I liked what I'm seeing, and then you know not to poop, poop or Mitch. He dig another job. Job and he brought back to Mathie miles Goff and and Tony Parker. Those were his moves from Michael Jordan, Charlotte, bobcats, Tony Parker, and Tim iffy miles gov. And I'm looking at going, how the hell were you able to hold onto this job? This loan wildly different personalities, but you know what? It feels like Gruden just where it just it's, it's it's over dude it. It's passed you by not that you weren't good at it. Not that she didn't have great success. Not that you didn't earn everything that you've gotten in this basketball world, but you got to you got it's different. Now you, you didn't change. You're still doing the way it was done. Fifteen twenty years ago. It's different now. You can't do it like that and you're stuck in an old way, Mitch Cup check and Jon Gruden both fall into that category. Yeah. And you know, maybe he will turn that thing around Charlotte. Maybe you know, the Timothy mosque off thing was just like, I gotta get somebody in here because I get I how it out. I don't know if he's a good move. I don't always fully unknow understand that. But what I do know is that when I. I started here on the radio station to many Mazda was the big free agent signed an and repeatedly IS west the plan. Not that what is the plan? And so I'm looking again in my going right when you've got two hundred miles from Tony Parker. What is your plan? No plan. That was not a good plan. We're gonna peel back the pigskin Elsie go plan is not here. You and me. We're peeling back the pigskin next..

"Com listeners, you know what I love and Jew is that even though we are slowing down here to one episode per week, the emails have not slowed down at all. I mean, people are sending in great questions. Ford thinking, big picture type questions, free agency reaction. They've really covered the gamut and I think we're ready to dive in. It's great. And this is one that I saved it. We're going to do it last week, but then real news happened and we kind of hit that. But I like this from Thaddeus who says, going back a few podcasts, I thought sharps thoughts on Jason Tatum ceiling where interesting I agree. I think he might be destined to fulfill his twelve time all star open floor, destiny. But also he may never be a top ten player. Essentially. He'd be settling into the tier of Jimmy Butler. Paul, George Gordon Hayward Klay, Thompson, John wall Dame, Lillard type guys, really good players, but on the fringe. Of the top ten. So on that note, who do you guys think will be a top ten player in five years at that point, Anthony Davis, will we thirty years old Jaanus will be twenty eight. And the rest of the current top ten will be in their mid to late thirties. So Ben, you talk about preparation. This is one where we did have to do a little bit of homework and come up with some lists. What do you have for this question? Well, first of all, I've been doing the top one hundred list for so long with us. I could actually go back five years as a reference point. So I thought this was pretty interesting here was our top ten from five years ago. Okay. Look, Ron one Katie to Chris. Paul, three, Tony Parker for look. He was coming off every caliber sees, but yes, we overrated. Tony cannot believe you guys did that. I honestly, that's the most shocking top one hundred raking in the last like ten years. Five Westbrook six, Tim, Duncan, seven. Dwight eight. Dwade nine, Kobe Bryant, ten mellow. So I think the lesson from that list is that a lot of the guys who are regarded as top ten talents right now are going to be in retirement, you know, in partial retirement by play for the Charlotte Hornets, Tony Parker or at a completely different stage of their career. Allah mellow or Dwayne, Wade where they're not really in the conversation. So I think when you're looking to try to build the top, the top ten list for five years from now, you have to be really careful with which of the current guys you. You expect to still be in there and the guys that I came up with and tell me what you think. I think Katie will still be in that group. Now he has said he might wanna retire in five years. That was kind of a loose lips. Katie moment there after the final. So assuming he doesn't retire. I think Haiti can still be in there. He's only twenty nine, I think hard and has a pretty good chance to be in there. He's twenty eight. And then I think a guy like kyri health permitting could still be in that conversation. You know, pass that guys like Steph, curry, obviously, LeBron is going to be too old at that point. Chris, Paul is going to be too old. I don't see Westbrook aging very well. I mean, that's sort of my list of the current stars who are still going to be in this conversation. What do you think? Yeah. I mean, the way I broke it down as I said, I set up a couple different categories. On the one hand, the only real locks that I see to be in the top one hundred top ten in five years are Jaanus and Anthony Davis, because I think you know Jaanus will be twenty seven years old at that point or twenty eight years old and they gave us will be thirty and they're just they're so good that I like it. Tragic injury would have to be fall. One of them for them not to be in there and then you're, you're wrong already. I mean, come back are you? Why are you sliding? Ben Simmons, come on, put him in that category. Janas, Anthony Davis. Here's the thing. Okay. I had four categories. I had lock..

"Going to get out now not even like it was three four years ago it's a different time in the nba and the spurs have to adjust to that because you look even the the patriots now they've been able to keep everything and asked what the last eight months tom brady hate spellcheck ballot check doesn't like brady brady had to buddy up with bob kraft bob kraft doesn't want to have to choose now crock eights bill belichick all these things are going on all these things have breaking when before we didn't know anything about the patriots this is the status this is the way that it is now in sports and the spurs have to adjust to that i i agree on some of them some of it is just like look at it's a relationship that went sideways i'm sure there have been other relationships so inside ways in the past as well you know relationship between bredbury and and and tony parker went sideways for other reasons right so i just i think that you're right there my saying that i use on on my show is there are no more secrets only facts that are yet to be revealed maybe dallied soon to be revealed patent that phrase that's a good one i liked that i can i'll i'll do patent pending patent pen up so the a but it's just really hard to keep a secret now because eventually someone's going to figure it out but i also just think this is a relationship that went sideways with the getting involved them not knowing how to deal with it and and you have a player who's not not really a verbal communicator i think that's kind of what what leads to this end so many other guys have bought into the the the spurs way in the past he didn't and a lot of that comes goes back to his first contract negotiations which he didn't get the most money they went to restricted deal and he got a little bit less money than he change agents you know his shoe company deal shoe deal wasn't as much as he thought and some of that was blamed of being in san antonio so there's some other parts to it but the main part is you're right here we are at a year in which the patriots and the spurs are both reacting to news that their private news which has been made public and it's not that this hasn't happened for other teams it just hasn't happened to those teams in the past year for me for kawhi and what the price is going to be it comes down to this and this is something that i think is the fabric of what's going to make or break a trade is it the lakers is it the lakers one hundred percent and that's all it is because i am one hundred percent walking through their doors next year in which case then the value has to go down because look the lakers aren't going to give up a lot if they think he's going to walk through and meanwhile teams like the sixers aren't gonna plot if they think well we're just gonna rent them for a season and then he's going to go but are the lakers of preferred destination which you know i i can go to la but okay i can also go to la to the clippers i could also go to the seventy sixers that would be like when you're figuring out where you wanna go on vacation no we're definitely going to turkson keiko's i've been thinking about turkson keiko's for five years we're going to turkey and keiko's jamaica that's going or is it well oh jamaica would be nice okay maybe i still want to really go to turkson keiko's putt jamaica might be nice that that could work you mean you mean the island or queens because i'd rather go to the island of jamaica all right go saint john's so i mean is that what it is is that which is.

"Into the playoffs and the players were essentially reaching out to leonard to say we wanna help you we want to be here for you and the message they got back essentially was i've got good reason for not playing it's going to be difficult for him to return and think that even if he does play they're going to get that could really help him advance in the postseason i guess that's it i mean this is layer there's no doubt about it one of the things that the players see and this is something you always you see in the locker room and somebody gets hurt they rehab and then they come back and usually for every injury there those occasional different type of injuries where the timing can be an issue on when you come back but for the most part there is and players understand this and the comparisons at some players will see here is that tony parker had thighinjury that was considered more severe than kawhi leonard and tony parker is back playing tony parker used the san antonio spur medical staff to come back leonard went outside which again you have every right to be part of the cba you can go get a second opinion you can go away from a team doctor and kawhi leonard did that because leonard who again the injury wasn't deemed as bad as tony parker's is still not back basically says he's not coming back and has his reasons for it so there is that layer of players wondering you know and they know them obviously better quiet way better than we do so i have no idea if there's you know accusing are you are you ready to come back but you just don't want took us we're not really going anywhere he has twenty one million dollars left on his deal at next year and then you can opt out after that we don't know the situation and what makes it a head scratcher is he's just considered one of the good guys an an an a good guy who doesn't say anything a silent silent good guy so this is really wild but he seems pretty adamant and i'm not gonna lie i i've been part of many team meetings in my career both in college and in the nfl and some can be helpful some can be a wasted whatever let's go to hear your voice rarely do i do i hear of one where.
