"Following how old is nineteen as affected as professional athletes and former professional athletes I'm sure you've come across the story we've talked about it on our show of Tony Miceli the all pro on offensive linemen four time pro football hall of fame a finalist one of the greats ever play the position and his journey through it he is he joining us right now to tell it to us in his own words Tony good morning thanks for joining us our you are good better a better day than I was yesterday so I was the head in the right direction so how did it all start for you when did you realize that something was wrong yeah I think it was March March sixteenth Monday night I started feeling coal but if you think anything of it didn't have a fever just like you know it's not because it's allergy season out here and you have to call and everything else and I figure you know you know just a little bit of a runny nose and stuff okay they feel a little bit worse but really about the same but you know you start take my temperature just because of the scope of stuff going around and so you know me to stick around the house until I get through this you know I'm not thinking too much of it but when I woke up Wednesday I felt like complete crap and can we got a call about an hour later no and buddy of mine called me and said Hey listen just so you know last Wednesday or Thursday I'm not sure but you were were guy we were around test positives will cope they're disappointed that's not good because I have a fever he allowed three into a call my doctor at Mayo Mayo Clinic is a list of what's going on if you tested and found out two days later that Friday that invited I knew because I've just you know one of the fever some take out all the keep it down and feel like at that point just I felt like I had a you know a pretty mild flu curb appeal just so lousy and really didn't think much of it from a standpoint of you know I'm young I'm forty seven years old and healthy get no underlying health issues you know because you know by the end of the weekend I'll be fine but now it's obviously not what happened so Tony Tony and I work together Westwood One for years and I also you're in great shape like you said you're forty seven years old so when you are around this person that had the covert nineteen were you were you playing golf for you hang out at a bar like do we go out to a restaurant playing cards what we are doing yeah we're a work of it and and he was going to get those symptoms you didn't even know he said and we're just hanging out and we're actually even trying to be will be smart at the time because of the very very beginning of this like okay listeners are social distancing in the sense of the fact that it was you know don't shake hands you know give you know you know elbow bumps or whatever and just you know trying to stay away from each other and and so we were doing that and we're just at the same event and didn't think anything of it but I don't know when they are Thursday I can't really remember my wife was there and I'm not playing golf that weekend like I do every you know we can hang out with the fellows and never thought anything other than through and then you know hall said Wednesday you find out you might be exposed once we start thinking back to all the people you've been around since then and I think when I called the guy that played golf with him this is where at least we were being smart with what we knew back then because we weren't shaking hands we're being smart enough and got it you know thank god and and so you know but it's one of those things that you don't it's not real because you think oh it's over here somewhere else to get it working for you know so if you know someone who has some health issues yes the warrior old people have to worry and just tell you that's not the case I mean you get this thing isn't because it's a roll the dice you know you might be like my wife who got it and just fill out the form Mero temperature no real basic not a big deal we might end up like me in the eye to you and wondered what we're back yeah I was gonna say you're in the eyes you talking to Tony Miceli until you live in Jacksonville right yep yep right so you live in Jacksonville and maybe maybe it wasn't you I know you guys were aware of and everything else you now go into the I see you this seems like it's like fourteen day experience for you it sounds like to me were you were you ever put on a ventilator no so I got you know you throughout that weekend I saw I felt like I was getting better actually no it's alright with that and I woke up Tuesday morning in almost a it's been almost two weeks ago and so like oh my gosh something's really going sideways here he kept looking worse and worse couldn't sleep that night woke up Wednesday will struggle when I would say that guy I couldn't believe what I was like moving around the coffin I'd be kind of hard to catch my breath and and realized that I needed to call the doctor gives a call to make sure you write to the merchant but we ought to be when I got there I saw this beautiful reasons to merit a Stockholm and we'll be fine it was a good picture belongs in there and they said you're going to be I see right away then I saw a second I'll I mean this is Vicky press here when I'm going I see you know you're going to be you are you need you need observation we teach on oxygen we need to get you filled with these drugs you can repair while also they're part of the did they did they talk to you about how your immune system reacted to this and was that one of one of the problems that you're dealing with no they they they didn't really say anything about that what they said was a missing work are scary for me you know because you again forty seven healthy this is not close this is not supposed to be me and when the Coleman all just looked at me and said listen we don't know which direction this is going to go with me don't know which direction this is going to go off right now the directions going to graduate ground because we need to get your oxygen and then after about a day they were called me with oxygen to my nose in everything it wasn't stabilizing me and then looked at me and they said I guess this doesn't work right through the next level and I'm soon the next level was not something any good like a ventilator or something yeah I think and the way they put me on the drugs and they did all that damage that we've got to wait and see if these drugs the malaria drugs and antibiotics we gotta wait and see if this thing works or not so they put you on the hydroxy chloride Quinn and the is it throw mice and cocktail yeah octyl and that influence throughout the day and and he's kind of what lay their weight in the in the scariest thing and don't come see thank you family can check on check on them the only people to come into the room or the start of the great healthcare workers that we have so we have been there in full PPE offense and so it's pretty lonely and scary time did you feel like the drugs had an impact on you could you tell that once you started taking that cocktail that all of a sudden you started to feel better I would say all the sudden but you know so I started taking it that Wednesday Thursday I felt no better actually striking will be worse if anything and the poll monologist came in a sense is all right you know we were still watching and we hope and we think based on what we've been treating people you know you're still early in this year or early people coming in at your age that day three we start seeing the changes we start seeing improvements are for open for day three I did it so I woke up the next morning and I said okay I feel a little bit better into out that day three I started really feeling like something was changing for the better for the first time so you know as soon as they have you know my mind has legal drugs give me because you know like they said they three start getting better talking to Tony Miceli who went through his own covert nineteen really scary journeys on the other side of it now you mentioned how you're in the room by yourself you can't see your family the only people that come in people are basically wearing hazmat suits on the mental side of this how are you able to keep that under control and not totally lose your mind into a panic attack yeah that was difficult especially that and I I got your cute though I can't remember who was the first night or the next morning when they came back and they said Dr you know they need to continue to be more option and if this doesn't work that they're gonna put me on this it's a mask or something and all I could think about point is if they put me on the cell and I'm gonna die yeah I was at that point which fry the scariest to just sit there by yourself and I'm wrestling in my mind range of saying this cannot happen like I'm not I don't want to die in this place by myself and I think that's where you really start you don't fight with yourself in trying to believe the best thing for me for my face really came in and and and and knowing the people pray for me and everything else I'm saying okay you know god I I you know I need some help here you know I need to know who I need to calm down I need to really fight this thing and because I don't want to die in the size you by myself and your wife's experience was totally different from yours and obviously she would she got it from you I will have bad did she get what our section I don't want to go there because this is the big fight between her and I said I said okay there seem to be at the event so I'm blaming her for life status we've been married twenty five years now so we get this back and forth installed everything and so I'm blaming blaming her for this one okay yeah it's kind of it's all you're probably you're probably lying there in the hospital thinking.

I mean even talk about Tony Miceli for ever and that barely no okay speaking things that people don't really want to talk about probably I you haven't talked about the NFL contract yet is there a reason just putting up a poll do you care if the players vote yes or no yes or no with the full as of Friday I'm just approaching this and and you know maybe I'm skirting my duties as a radio host slash journalist I just wanna give you what I think you need to know it because if you want to know about the other stuff and you can read the four hundred and fifty six pages but I just want to know this is really about the haves and the have nots because you have sixty percent of the week that makes the minimum and all you need is a majority to pass this so if you do the math sixty percent I only need a little over fifty percent in this passage here I've said all along I don't like to seventeen games the fact that the owners said non negotiable you're having a seventeenth gang non negotiable that's the one item that the players had that was a bargaining chip playing the seventeenth game I don't know if they're getting enough for that seventeenth game that's just my opinion from the cheap seats just looking at it go on if I was a player if I was a star player I certainly don't want to play a seventeen game if I'm a guy who's making the minimum I do want that seventeenth game I don't know what is going to mean for the franchise tag I don't meet and go it means for salary cap I don't know what it's going to mean for you Patrick Mahomes is contract I don't know what it means for the home schedule the away schedule where is that extra game going to be played when do they come up with this schedule is it next year is it the year after that those are the things that I want to know and that's why I've tried not to bore you with some of the minutia in here yeah I'm a clown okay I I want to make sure that I'm not by any with the NFL owners are secretly selling through the press but I feel like there's one powerful storyline that this deal seems like a good deal now and the NFL's in a good position with the networks now and then do you see these reports that the deal could be worse next year is that do you think that rings true I don't want a ten year deal I A. from the players I don't want a ten year deal because it feels like the financial landscape is going to change and then these players are going to go boy that was a great deal I think once again I'm I'm not a lawyer and not trying to play one on TV here it just feels like that signing up for a long long time it feels like it's longer than ten years because it everything changes no our viewing patterns the amount of money that's going to be involved in this when sports gambling gets involved in this the leaves get a piece of that I feel like the players deserve to get half of the revenue here if you want me to play a seventeen K. I I was told by reliable source that they will open the owners will fight to get an eighteen game schedule they're not happy with seventeen but they knew they had to get checked if they were gonna get eighteen they had to go get to seventeen first see how it feels you know how people react to it how many injuries well you know the the impact it's gonna have on the playoffs like that those are the things that they're gonna sort this out and then they're going to go we want to open this back up for an eighteen game I was told that over the weekend as I said this is probably going to pass but I guarantee you the owners will you open this up for an eighteen eighteen game he said you're right yeah and it's almost inevitable because with a seventy game schedule someone's going to have an extra home game extra revenue after everything from the home concessions and all that three or four years from now some teams complain why you know let's let's make sure we have the equal amount of home games there comes a team five years from now well you're gonna switch what I was told is one year you'll have one less home game and then the next year you have one more home game so it'll balance out but they're still talk about the neutral site no so there there's still a lot to play out here and they moved the deadline to Saturday for the players to vote I don't know what that means the person I speak to didn't respond to me but I was asking about pushing this back what does that mean with the Players Association we have a club but if you're an average out of a player what do you care about ten years you're not gonna play for ten more years have such a is a notoriously short lifespan so Archie thinking short term Hey get this deal done now I'm gonna get a raise immediately I get it when I get up with the sixty percent of the league absolutely but I find you know one of the stars no I don't like this at all and I still think they need a separate salary cap for quarterbacks or remove quarterbacks from the salary cap eight like that's what I would want if I'm running the Players Association be like Hey let's just take the quarterbacks off the salary cap so we can spread that money around a little bit better with the other players and and we floated this idea a couple of months ago and and they didn't talk about this the owners did talk about a separate salary cap for quarterbacks and if I'm the you know the players union this is what I would want because now I can spread that money around we're gonna make more money and now you'll make more money because we're gonna take that quarterback off of the salary cap and you have your own special salary that you can you can pay your quarterback whatever you want to pay I couldn't care less most important position in all of sports Hey whatever you want the other players you have a salary cap then you can share in the revenue then there's a seventeen game schedule okay but man you can't let the owners have what they want and what they want is that seventeenth game non negotiable that would make me you know that's right I left a deal when I was given a take it or leave it at ESPN because I don't I don't do take it or leave it now there there's negotiations there's discussion but when I get a take it or leave it I left it in a fun the players I'm getting basically a take it or leave it seventeen game non negotiable I don't like that but that's what it feels like you know the owners and I was caution when I said it feels like the owners are getting a good deal and I I was cautioned by saying there's appearances and sometimes those appearances are meant to look differently and you're gonna I was told you got to look at it I understand these are things that are really important and I said okay feels like it's always the bottom what kind of how much money is being made that's that's always where I look at who won and who lost it's like the USFL sue the NFL and one that trial in god's three dollars three dollars Hey we we sue the NFL and we won and they troubled the damages and we got not one dollar we got three great the apple I read a lot of players want to revote want to redo their vote after their initial vote does this feel like almost anything or not letting him right it's like you know you get emails about something that could be work related your kid's school about your car and also you get a phone call Hey this is happening today or we're gonna make this easy I wasn't told about this if you've got an email here delete delete delete delete delete all right we'll take a break here will get phone calls online poll question stat of the day play of the day the great Charles Barkley and Charles is great to have on no matter what time you have in mind but what he's doing with his all these awards including his MVP in two Olympic gold medals in auction I'm off tell you why he's going to do that coming up next eighteen after the hour Dan Patrick show T. E. C. O. V. A. S. dot com slash PP to cove is the reason why spell that out is because that's bells out success the call was makes western goods for all the places you go when you need to feel as confident as possible you need a great pair cowboy boots you got it if it's your first pair your next pair yeah you're going to light up the room when you walk in you get noticed for all the right reasons and I'm curious why more executives or businessmen a sales guys don't have their pair cal boy boots and I was on the edge there of in my cowboy boot guy and then I got up here and I said oh hell yeah so maybe it's the first pair maybe you weren't sure that it was possible that you can get great boots that field is great and they also cut out the middle man they pass the savings on to you so we got a four double high quality boots they got other leather goods there is well when you go to the website but go get a pair to cove is fine you're you're set.

"The field all right so do you remember when first of all we were going into it was the two weeks prior to the Super Bowl and we were we were tracking down guys to talk about Super Bowl first off and second we were also talking to guys that were finalists for the hall of fame at the time uhhuh and we heard from Tony Miceli the big fellow the builder the big fella from boulder who talked a little bit about how he looks and evaluates offense of lime and you remember that well I do remember it because I thought about it deeply after he said it and I said you know what makes sense to me all right so here is what Tony Miceli had to say that when you're looking at offensive linemen and you're evaluating them things that this future hall of Famer because Tony Purcell is going to get into the hall of fame thanks to this future hall of Famer looks for I do I think you saw you get ABS lives it's a big it's a big person gain and you need to have side some looking you know I'm looking for Langston and overall this mass and so you can you can tell you can look at our guide lower body to look at his ankles look chips you know kind of in you can judge whether he they naturally big body person and you want obviously lane farm right and everything else after that you start looking at is the is the eight waist Bender you need to know you don't want me better to what guys operate bending their knees not leading because that's in the past it is critical because if you get over extended you have no balance your your available to place a good pass rushers was going to kill you even in the run game because you have to go to bed you need use leverage if we look at that across the board you know the first couple things when I start looking for you know footwork athletic ability you you want big men were athletes athletics you go watch other poll you watch other in space Donald you're watching their sets you know we have the tree out of the loop are they redirect all right so those are you know so you're trying to gauge the athletic ability of the individual and then you know your I want to ask you guys what causes will guide you so much of a play probably finishing blocks are they guys that are oldies engaged with the there Simon in this going through the worst storm in the physical moving guys off the ball and it's a little different because you want is I want to lose the match gauging Ross is an entertainer of value waiting also delighted there's so many other things you know if you have up to talk to him you know the center position you understand you know trump recognition in the intelligence of the individual because so much is needed from communicating in the bunker standing how to communicate with dress options one quarterback in the market attempts occasion everything else but those are things you can't really notice on tape and especially the culture they because most people run the spread hurry up well there is no identification on the front there's no changing the put Texano identity your changes with my kids and they are sliding towards change in where the slides going towards because it's just so fast it's one protection goes so bad you can't it's so sometimes it's really hard to gauge what how do you know these young guys weren't mean are they able to learn they understand the game of football based out there you don't want it inside outside zone one side protection okay so if you want that audio why did you want that are in a two minute answer here's what I want to ask you in a two minute answer okay from Tony Miceli what key words stuck out to you because I'll tell you what stuck out to me but I know it's not the same as what stuck out to you was stuck out to me is you want the biggest man possible thank you you are hearing is best used to be a possible okay what I heard him say big nasty athletic okay you heard big nasty athletic I heard intelligence I heard that put us in a position I don't know he said no he said intelligence knowing what responsibilities are interfering with a standard found in the Mike and everything I don't know if you met all of them the look I think you still have to know M. I. T. you still don't have to go to meet very well I don't have to go to well if they did I mean tremendous does MIT have a football program I'm just asking Matt I don't think that they do M. I. T. is not have a football program they may have roaming or something that's usually what this kind of you know but I don't think that that's a requirement that you just don't see a smart player you don't think you have to be at the center should be because he does identify until the line maybe before the quarterback does Hey look this guy right here but my film study he's he's the Mike okay so we go out we go count one two three four go one two three four on the left one two three four right okay and that's how you determine who's blocking who well I listen and listen when I say intelligence I'm not saying that you have to be you know you have to be like M. I. T. here are to be M. I. T. smart but what I am saying is you have to have extreme football accu men you have to be able to I don't know what they want when you're watching take Georgia is that what you're watching no I'm just saying but you got you can block the guy on the inside you can buy a gun on the head up what you you can block got outside okay in run or pass does it does it does your options you have three three different ways to block him okay inside hit up outside it did run or the pass and that's all you need all the other crap is this is this crap you don't say you don't need to be a rocket science you don't need to be a rocket scientist I disagree about needing to be smart I don't think that you need to be smart I think that you need to be coach herbal how coachable hot how flexible are you with are picking things up you don't need to be brilliant to play a part of that in a hotel will be part of that being coachable is you have to understand what the coach is trying to tell you know will you accept what the coach is telling you is different no one with the coach telling you is one deal accepted what the coaches telling you is some totally different because he may tell you something and you may arm here it but you may not internalize it when he when he tells you something and you internalize it is some totally different you know so so you know you let me give you a real problem the problem with golfers let me tell you why golf is so hard okay the reason golf is so hard to those of us who love the game of golf is because you don't have great teachers you don't learn it the right way from the beginning so since you don't learn it the right way from the beginning then you're a deputation to new concepts are hard to to the author to home because you had so many bad habits it's no different with football players like if you had a great teacher when you were young you have great habits and those great happens keep going which you the question is when somebody tells you you don't have great habits you heard it certainly you heard it but are you willing to do something about you not being able to execute the way that I want you to those are the guys that I want I still think though that even though all that stuff matters I still think you have to have some sort of you have to be coachable and I think to be coachable chewable you have to do you also have to have some sort of document is that what it is you're trying to learn in his his one of great store he's won the great stories okay I play with two two left tackles who were hall of Famers I played with the Anthony moon yo's whose a hall of Famer and I play with Gary Zimmerman who was a hall of Famer the running joke around the locker room was that Z. M. S. stake on every play what we got here what we have here okay so Gary Zimmerman is a smart man really smart guy okay but on every play he communicated with his guard on every plate so that they will always be on the same page and if you have to do that every place to be on the same page and you can play at a high level that's okay no I agree don't say so I agree with that you but you insist so you don't have to be brilliant okay as long as somebody is brilliant that's hung on the line I need to be a center that is gonna be at the center of it a list of medicine as an and Tommy Nehlen man man I think that got the hall of fame player that guy was brilliant that guy understood football at the quarterback level okay so let me ask you this if if smart's is not very important then why the interview process at the combine I think it's I think it's for mentality I think it's about you know like it's in your mental's yeah you're not you know like like somebody asked if somebody would ask me coming out of university of Colorado if there was one thing that you could do to improve your game what would have been you know what I want to say it one I wish I would get a chance to play more plays that's it because I felt like I dominated everything I want every award we won it we won the conference championship we won a national championship what will I'm probably a worst interview because I know nothing but success from what it did the weighted I play college football I'm probably a terrible interview because everybody I played against I have my way with them so some of the questions that you may ask me you may not welcome because I'm sorry I didn't have to I don't have to play hard in college I didn't have to play hard because you know I knew that I did have to run to the other side of the field because Kaneva's McGee and Greg Baker well over that on that side well my side it was me a tableau what do I have to work I will do everything we get we get how I don't have to work hard to take care of my site but I didn't know that everybody could this is what I did know about the NFL not everybody can take care of their responsibility I didn't know that I thought everybody would be able to take care of their responsibility when I got to the NFL and that is one of the biggest lies when you were being when you're being interviewed because I've I've read some of the there's been a few crude answers to some of the questions that some of these teams were asking perfect I'm gonna ask you this question.

"To progress rod it is good to see you you obviously have had a full day you've been traipsing all over the city of Miami talking to everybody about this game is a changed your opinion on anything not yet you know I you look at this contest I think it's going to be a great game one thing I can say for sure they're gonna score more points they did last year let's thirteen to three game it you know people say it wasn't as bad a game is the score may indicate but in this office of world people do want to see points it's interesting to that everybody's talking about the offenses on both sides it's got to insult you a little bit that there has been as much conversation about defense not really you know you think that their strengths for you know the forty Niners it was their defense throughout the whole year but the way they ran the ball in a champ should gain it made everybody forget about the defense of how good they play throughout the year just for the fact that they carved up a really good defense for the Green Bay Packers but the forty nine front attack and what did I love about what tiles done he's so much like his dad Mike where they're running that outside zone they running inside so they're gonna cut the backside it's one cut get down hill and the difference between what Mike did in Denver throughout his whole career and what Kyle has in San Fran these guys run when you know he's got all the running backs for the forty Niners can get down hill fast and they get to the second level so quick now Kansas city linebackers are not great linebackers with your date they played well his defense played well I think they played well so much better in the second half the year they did the first half of the year but if they can't stop his run I mean Patrick homes in his routine and he has been throughout his short tenure career in the National Football League it's going to be sitting on the sidelines just like your Rogers were in in the first half they gained in the chapter and I I think that's part of the way that San Francisco is going to be able to deal with that the other part and I had this conversation with our friend Tony Miceli last night as we were centered opening night the fact that if San Francisco is capable of getting pressure with four and that's going to be a big key to this game then you're sitting back with seven you're probably sitting back in it you know it three deep you're probably sitting back a whole bunch of different places Patrick homes is not going to have those deep chunk throws he's gonna have to be patient take dumped down throws and they're hoping that that he would be impatient and make a mistake very similar to what he LA charges did for two games every summer defense they come from the same tree the defense coordinators and you look at it but the charges please guys twice a year every year they know who they are they India's they know what the systems are they know how fast I re queue is San Francisco they don't not yet I mean so they have that speed now they can't get personal to front for they've done it all year long linebackers Alexander's probably a blessing that he got her because Warner had to step up to the forefront that second year player complex I mean that second year linebacker from B. Y. U. S. that outstanding player form now you get Alexander back so that front for and the linebackers can all get it after the quarterback in making cover people the back and I know Richard Sherman I think rich is going to be fine it's the other guys for them if they don't get pressure on on four Moseley from Witherspoon can they handle the speed because what they're going to do for the kids to the chief they're gonna get a trips they're gonna put ten at number two or three three they can put seventeen and number two they're gonna put fourteen at number one eighty seven at the sight of flexi Mao they got a child twenty six McCoy and child means they're gonna be spreading right by the tackle he's going to chip also going out what's their answer on the defense side and if they get the protection I don't know if whether spoon and mostly can hold up over the long stretch of how fast these guys are because what I saw two weeks ago with him in three weeks ago they start running the deep over and they normally when touch when tennis at three here in the Deep speedo so gold's always Crossfield Ian's up about twenty twenty five yards across the field ten for those of you not watching right in front of me sorry killed by Rick he'll tire killed now he's going up any sitting about eighteen yards de so we've taken that safety grabs his attention and in seventeen hits over the top of it at the heart and that's Hartman these guys can run and that's one thing that they didn't do in the previous weeks the day started doing and not Mike nobody has an answer for that yet so I'm curious to see what San Francisco's answer is to that formation and what they can get accomplished gonna be interesting stuff we're gonna break this down even further as we continue along in this hour all in favor rod which don't forget to join us this Sunday for Super Bowl fifty four Kevin Harlan Kurt Warner joining the cellular opening Jeez Sterrett tore up all the excitement to the Kansas City Chiefs of the San Francisco forty Niners Jim gray hosts the.

"There's big us fix down the drain down the drain do you think that we would do you think that we would draft left tackle in the first round no like if they stated yeah you would I want this conversation in you ask me that question and what was my answer last time you answered yes I said yes and I said no that that's not going to happen but I gotta tell you man if this kid Giedroyc wheels from Alabama is available man could be hard it be hard to pass a guy up I know it's not a position of need but it feels like we can move bowls to right guard in a way we go yeah you know I'm saying I mean they did that that's a I I will tell you as a real possibility after hearing Tony Miceli describe white she looks for when he is evaluating tackles in the college game as are getting ready to go pro I was like man I don't think your balls checked any of those boxes the size no because he did see DVD Kagera gold durables undersized he said I was athletic but you know he is athletic he's super athletic that's why to screen game should've been something we sort of lose more because in the screen gain you can see the big athletic guys get out on the perimeter and make blacks against corners and safeties and he can do that but we didn't we didn't we didn't have enough of that in our offense we just didn't have enough of that so that you can see our athletic it was in the Indian you saw him get run around grabbing guys and you go wow that is that is crazy but he does have the nasty part he has a he has all that again as he does have the athlete because of the **** party of that which is why I am in a nasty part which is why he was picking up laundry every single weekend of the off the you know field I just wonder it with Gary bowls does he have to go through eight games again before he pulls it together you know like this protection is usually a five man protection for this offense I'm just let you know before it happens they're going to lean on five man protections more than six and seven man protects is like some of the other teams in NFL due to answer your original question my answer still yes there's an offensive tackle there in the first round Broncos again to take it mine let let's go around the NFL the Green Bay Packers this weekend the NFC championship game taking on the San Francisco forty.

"Wayne who were named finalists for the hall of fame class in their first year of eligibility five other former and about grades made their first appearances finalize the right bottler sorry hold Sam mills back Thomas and Bryant young your member with the Niners were also named files for the first time the other finalists Steve at wired Tony Miceli Isaac Bruce Allen fan and can Steve Hutchinson Edgerrin James John Lynch and Richard Seymour as many as five in the finals will be chosen February first the day before the Super Bowl the halls class of twenty twenty by the board of selectors the class of twenty twenty be introduced during the end of honor show that evening hi there you go talked about a little bit earlier tonight in the beginning of the show Conor McGregor these that is bast is living is bass life Garber I getting ready for UFC two forty six and his fight with cowboys aronie in Las Vegas the fight is about to go down here in about fifteen days can't wait hopefully nothing will interfere with that fighter I'm sure something well something a lab and some guys controversy to Ronnie as name Donald surrounding his fight five times since McGregor's last about including four times last year alone last year just handed the other day but after winning the fight every other month so it's yeah that guy's battering ram VS maze just absolutely like a piece of leather I don't really honestly think he can handle McGregor who's got to be as fresh as a daisy he hasn't fought so long a guy I don't care about ring rusty there might be that guy is going to destroy him I would think what do I know the rising star Ryan Garcia will face Francisco Fonseca on February fourteenth he's a boxer Garcia will face the former two time world title challenger funds taken a twelve round about that during fourteen on at the Honda center in Anaheim Callie a golden boy fight rang ours is a good fighter did you see today Wayne Rooney started his new career in the champions league are carver high he's he's now playing for derby right what's the name of the team your account yesterday in the championship every county yeah I think he assisted on the game winner he may have insisted on two goals both of the goals Christian not posek since joining Chelsea twenty three game six call six assess not bad right one of the game's yet I had track unhappy and Chelsea or does he like it plan for a locket Landguard paid enough to not be unhappy right Chelsea records a hundred and twenty eight million dollar loss for the year how about that yes that's what happens when you buy a player like ballistic right and then doesn't brighten hello of Albion and tells you play the other day three arrests for racist homophobic abuse to add to home smart is rejected one for racist abuse of Chelsea players and one for homophobic abuse aimed at a Chelsea supporter it added that one visiting smarter was also gender by the clubs to its for homophobic abuse aimed at home supporters all three were arrested by Sussex police outside the stadium and now face right prosecution and death I hanging another horse dies in Santa Anita Park when will it end can you even believe this remember in a twenty nineteen how many horses died it said it needed now they've already lost another one it really is ridiculous at this point what is going on out there California southern California I used to go to Santa Anita Park a lot to bet on the horses I like going to Santa Anita and Hollywood park in del Mar I just love it there in the southern California great great racetracks Michael in South Carolina you're on CBS sports radio how you doing man Hey Mike happy new year happy new year to you too it's got will be game on sending allow kind of connection you can see hawks win on the road in Philadelphia it seems like they on the eagles every time they plan they end up beating on that that could change obviously Carson Wentz in his first playoff game here because remember the Super Bowl run was recorded by falls and not when so I guess this is whence is first chance to shine I'll say this I think and I think these guys would agree with me once is carried the eagles on his back the last six weeks and I think he's been fantastic and I think they're banged up and all beat up an injured and everything else and I think they're that good of a football team the eagles to be honest with you but this guy just keeps coming through in the clutch form so he's actually really been worth his weight in gold but I for some reason I do not believe in a big game this is just me I think Russell Wilson's a better quarterback in a big game that guy goes to supervise you should've won two super bowls back to back if not for a bad call to not run the ball with Lynch at the one yard line they would beat the patriots and and they what I want to state what you know should a good a what a but let's face it he was the hottest ticket in the NFL then and he still is very impressive and you know week to week and this season he's been incredible on it team if you ask me with again limited resources he's winning with nothing around and listening I mean let's face facts what is your one receiver he tries to so here's the deal I I just think he's a better quarterback and in big games he's dangerous I think the key to the game will be the eagles trying to stop Russell Wilson more so than the Seahawks trying to stop Carson Wentz I think that'll be the the game I think that's a game in itself both of those quarterbacks are gonna be chased around and how well they perform under those trying circumstances a pressure of you know people you know chasing him around because there's going to be they're gonna have to leave the pocket and make some plays right because that's all there is to I think both teams are very banged up going into the game and I I think it's very high risk frankly to Beyonce within about on either one of them I don't think you can trust your bat you know if you go into the game thing in Seattle's got this in the back I think I probably get burned and if you think that he's got this a walk in a park and it's it's there's guys are playing at home also I think you'll get burned you know I mean I just don't think it it's a it's a real coin toss type game I I don't flip a coin you have no I don't think there's any decisive way to determine who's going to win the football game drag a in Callie it's been a while for al Sheik got shanghaied any and your body what about all right Hey I'm a man I really don't see the only be in Seattle Seattle looks good I I hate Mister Wilson but I gotta respect on that man no I you remind me of a modern day France artisan except better he's got a Superbowl ring and he knows what to do right hello niner fans I should be one fifty billion but I want to be the better team Seattle's put us through the test I love bill and vomit a week from this Saturday at Levi's stadium might not only be seein as Seattle team is gonna be one heck of a game is going to be like like Europe dispersed doors when they play the ravens black and blue games or speak yeah I have no problem with that car ride yeah look I I think that that's the one thing that you know I wouldn't mind seeing Seattle win on Sunday is those two nine or sea hawk games have been when they were both excellent grayer having around three next week divisional round that would be a lot of fun that's right steep pay me jade score me a three we thank my VA twenty twenty that would be one W. letter but on the that's gonna happen think of much more likely to see Seahawks and we're not Mike in Indy here on CBS sports radio Hey Perot Hey Hey yeah a big big fan I love the show one Hey if if you were jammers there Chris Ballard what would you do with the quarterback spot all season here would you stick with a single bursa or a fine of one of the free agents might be available like the best role model like Newton or or Bridgewater maybe Winston or would you draft somebody that thirteen we dropped into lotus getting by god won't work yeah I mean a good trade up obviously I would I would change quarterbacks I would definitely I would definitely change going to actually you already saw the **** Jacoby burset I think with the pads and I dot is a performance with the colts was average at best I mean average at best frankly and I think I think money talks you can you can get a better quarterback if I were them I go after cam Newton I mean if the most intriguing for sure if the Panthers don't wanna my towns all over that guy because he gets over those you know surgeries and everything and he's still young I think that guy's a dangerous and I would not go near James Winston he's a turnover machine I I think James is a good guy I just think he's stupid I mean I really do I think he throws stupid passes and it's because he doesn't play smart fair enough he's got a great arm slings it does five thousand yards thirty duties but thirty packs I mean that's just flat out embarrassing and I think that the cam Newton stuff is now kind on hold you know they're gonna have a whole new Regina coveted new coach baby the new coach who gave you the right of it maybe he wants to be smart enough to watch can't do this quarter back so I think that we got a hold off on the camp nude stuffed our beat out of Carolina yeah until we know who the coaches I wouldn't get rid of that guy but if the calls were smart they'd go get him I and I and you know who else did he say you know is grafted somebody above draft and I don't yeah I did have to trade up and and I don't even you know I don't know if I were them I wouldn't mind drafted I think I'll be gone but Justin Herbert if they can trade up and get a guy like that and I I don't know if the bangles are gonna take borough but who knows luck we'll see but they obviously I I don't think I presents toast and I think they said the bronze god all day what a disaster they were at the end right what a winning in the last game and then got whacked in the second half but the jags were they up and they were up and I haven't got just absolutely destroyed in the second half of the bag as does show comes out after the show in tomorrow morning as well I just wanted to see clippers ended up winning the game of the business one twenty six one twelve Hornets by three of the cavs not gets out of the pages in Indy that was a good game until the nuggets ran away with that late he won over the raptors deals with the warriors jazz one in Chicago mabs came back to beat the nets thunder I took him on a road in San Antonio they had lost like nine straight there they beat on this time though by sex and kings of the Grizzlies and maybe one of the games of the night by five tomorrow night six NBA games to NHL games with crappy college basketball games tons of wild card high we're live at ten eastern a pain free Friday for car I am IBM broken any and now another addition of obvious news from geico experts now say that wearing more clothes in the winter will in fact help you be warmer we asked cold victim Trent Patterson about this and.
