A lot of that stuff was totally unnecessary. Totally not needed at it. I didn't particularly care for it. My thoughts on aws signing too many former Okay so let's do this. And i'm not being rude or anything so don't take this the wrong way. Obviously your new. Point you to the exact episode because we talked about this already like at least within the past week to a week and a half. I'm actually looking at the show archives right now and this goes to anybody like i like getting questions but try to think of a question. I'll be more than happy to answer it. Try to think of a question. That probably hasn't been tackled because you know when you xp a kind of like a commonly asked question typically. "You're definitely are gonna be filling the trickling effects from the top one down. It's going to be pretty rough for everybody. Do you really wanna you coming from so law. People were throwing tony kahn. Under the bus but then as we have found out from tony kahn whose remember all this had pretty much went down like tuesday basically like monday tuesday. Basically you know we find out What was it Earlier today or something like that. Tony kahn goes on the busted open. Show and clears the air about you. Know what all came about with that particular segment and i've got his words right here in In black and white address that controversial segment. He described the lyrics his own words as terrible and said he was not there when the segment was being filmed and he noted that the offensive lyrics should have been caught and removed during the editing process. Exactly because whoever your editor is whoever is in charge of the editing this is so much more than just okay. You know edit this at at at at at that you're actually also listening to the audio. You are listening to the audio. See if you come across something as the editor dad. Wait a minute. Is this really. Is this going to successfully be able to get through. You know The practices department. Is this really going to get through them or are we gonna. Maybe here's something from. Hr endow no usually pick up that phone and you know. Hey i think. I might have came across something here that i don't know i need a second opinion. You could you come over here and loamy your ears or or can i send you the time stamp of the joint. That's same question in okay. You tell me what you think right. So here's what here's what. He had to say speaking of dark last night on dark. Mac max casters rap was terrible. I was not out there in the moment when he did it. It was not during dynamite. I was out back. When max said this rap i had heard it until last night truthfully in the editing process. I should Yeah in the editing process. It should have been caught. We downloaded sorry. Deleted the episode and reposted it with.

Okay this image data. You probably seen a lot of in circulation today because it really had picked up A lot of steam and you know most people were kind of acting as though this was you know really something new that just out tonight but Apparently this has been quietly rolled out for a couple of weeks now. This this isn't anything new is this has been in effect for a couple of weeks now. Now all that being said and done okay. If we're gonna hold these fans to this conduct then surely we should be able to hold the talents to this. A e w code of conduct as well. Now we bring in tony kahn. So tony kahn. "Million viewers nine hundred ninety nine thousand viewers for that segment. So. I. Don't know what to tell you. I thought it was a bad second hour but the second hour was stronger than the first. The second hour held out throughout the entire second hour I mean I guess you could argue that's a lot of people to see a bad our but the fact of the matter is it So I guess. We'll see what happens at the pay per view as noted in the opening segment. This is their biggest audience for a go home show that they have ever done all of the last three pay per views they were either average or below average numbers and they did read read one, hundred, thousand, one, hundred, ten, thousand or whatever on pay per view. At sixty bucks a pop. So, gotTa pay per view this coming weekend and I thought the go home show was weak but they did a million viewers pretty much consistently throughout the show especially that second hour I mean this could do a huge number I mean maybe that second hour turn people off and it won't do a huge number I don't know. But Tony Kahn thinks is going to be the best pay per view of the year and he seemed very bullish about next Wednesday's show. So. We'll see at x t is on Tuesday. They've got a championship match aws. Wednesday. They've got the follow up to the pay per view both shows are unopposed. We'll see if the finish of the iron man match turn people off. We'll see if the second hour of this dynamite turn people off. Today my gut feeling is it's not going to turn anybody off either of them. I know people are really angry about that ironman finished, but I feel with six days seven days. I think people are GonNa Watch the show it pretty much the same number as they did last week I think they're gonNA get a finish this time although I think there's GonNa be other stuff happening I'm pretty confident about that. And I think that if they have a great pay per view on Saturday and there's a lot of buzz and people are talking about it, I think next Wednesday's show even with the NDA is going to be a very, very big number. One night has never killed anybody. That includes some of the were shows. They've ever seen like the finger poke, of doom. The finger poke of doom did not kill W in one night hit was months of the worst shows I've ever seen to run people off. So there you go. That's my thoughts on the numbers. You know with a W. Maybe, they've been onto something and that's why they drew. You know the crowd that they did on. Wednesday night. More maybe the TV planets just in alignment for him and they were able to pick up a lot of people and if it's the latter. Oof You know the didn't put your best foot forward there, and you're going to have something to make up for next week and we'll find out next week. Forget about Saturday, Saturday shows nothing you know the people that were going to spend money on an e w pay per view they're going to do that and the quality that's going to be presented on pay per view is going to be completely separate from what we saw on. The TV show those chickens come home to roost next week when it comes to the rating and will they get a bump after this pay per view we'll see did they do any damage last week on TV that will make people not want to come back after the pay per view I? Guess we're going to find that out too. But when it comes down I, think when it comes the iron man match, it's you know you can. Is there really anything be that outraged over mean at this point is in your Phantom mean you're probably pretty callous stop in the way towards the two thousand and twenty has gone. You gotta be pretty fatigue. So I think probably it's just a matter of there's been other things to be outraged about, and that's why people aren't really hammering that as much as I guess, a small minority are pay for this person that twitch chat that said, I'm comparing Wednesday show to the finger.

"This is the Steve Austin show, a hell yeah. Yeah. Now, here's Steve Austin around about welcome Steve off and show coming to even beach streets of Los Angeles, California today, come sit behind my desk, and three sixteen gimmick street about open up a big can of audio Wabash with my special guest president CEO of all elite wrestling, a e w Tony Kahn Tony Kahn was passing through the means streets in Los Angeles day and heard I wanted to talk to him about a e w and double or nothing, the very successful, pay per view. They just conducted an Las Vegas sold out in a couple of minutes had some great matches and so Tony stop by came in at three, sixteen gimmick street. We fired up to microphones. I didn't forget to hit the record button. And we sit there and we'd shopped it up for several hours. Ours. Our conversation today, we will be talking about double, or nothing. Some of my thoughts on some of the matches lots of great action. We're not breaking down and a great detail anything. We're not critiquing. We're just talking about things when I started this podcast with, Tony, I listened to several of the interviews that he'd done and tried to stay away from some of the material that he'd already covered. So I went into this podcast with no notes because I didn't really need a bunch of notes to talk to Tony Kahn because of his love and his history for the business of professional wrestling. And if you're going to talk about wrestling with me. I'm never at a loss for words because if something that's very near and dear to my heart. Everybody knows my password, professional wrestling. I started watching when I was a kid seven or eight years old and EDNA Texas while my mom was back air. Reading her Redbook magazine shaking, her head wondering why was watching what I was watching much say? Thank for, Tony as far starting at a very young age. He started watching wrestling fell in love with it and just became enamored. With an started participating in tape trading, where he would trade takes with all these different people in the United States and all over the world. And so he watched all the different promotions all the different periods and transitions. And. Errors of the business since he was just a kid funding. Think about Tony as he graduated from college with a degree in finance for some reason, this guy has a just a mind or knack for numbers, he remembers everything he can remember all the dates to any pay per view. You can name who went over what the finish was what the card was what the order of the card was and has just as tremendous vast knowledge of the history of the business, and he is certainly formed his own opinions about the business, and he saved some of the greatest angles and worst angles ever shot. So it'll be interesting to see his hispan- and their creative take on their promotion as a proceed forward. So anyway, it was really easy to talk about professional wrestling with Tony Kahn. I've taken about a six month break. I'm back on the air. I'll be doing one show live each week the other day of the week. We'll be playing classic. I'm going to go into more details. About that in the future, not gonna make a long open for this show because everybody wants to hear what Tony Kahn has to say, Sal, bring you up to speed with what I've been doing during my off time on the next podcast, which will happen next Tuesday, a classic will be playing on a Thursday episode. So Tony Kahn is a conversation. We're talking all elite wrestling e w w nothing what they've got going on..

"Lived insatiable desire for more. They love new they love fresh. They love surprises. And by God, they love more. And we wanted more. According to many of them social media on. On on Tuesday, Jacksonville. I'm with you. I don't what more could you give them that was necessary. But when you when it comes to talking about television. They didn't talk about TV I that the two things you have to have to make a Russian company successful. And I mentioned this. Tony Kahn the weekend of the double header in long beats I double header. We did there on Saturday Sunday back to back with new Japan and access TV. He in Alex visual there. They actually stayed in. My hotel are nearby. And so I have been French years and since the WCW days, and he interdicted at Tony. And and we had you know, just wrestling fan chat have drinks. But I said, you know, if you're gonna if somebody was ever going to arresting companies is the foundation is not a mystery. It's it's all about talent and television, you can't succeed with with one without the other just won't work. Well, you can do. Well, see our our our defiant personalities kick in now because the world we live in. Well, you know, here's what you could. Do you could stream over here? And you could do a thing there. And you could you know, okay. He's easy pal. Have a decaf. I have a Sanca and calm. The fuck down. The the issue is, you know, the television is the king. That's you. That's your heartbeat. That's your heartbeat. And I am of the belief. Maybe I'm wrong that a television deal is I guess the political correct term say imminent, I think TV deals basically done. I think that's why would you do all this this celebration? And this the thing on Tuesday and all that without having more. You know, if you don't you got your shown us already you guys your ducks in order are getting their on talent. And so I'm leaving that they're not going to go half half cocked here. Why would you have this major announcement this huge event or huge company? What all this happen? If you didn't have TV pretty much locked up. So I'm sure that the faith work the inks not drawn all those good things could be possibilities or they're still negotiating some finer points, whatever. But I believe come this fall that aid just going to have a very prominent television partner this going to give this team the opportunity to be successful. Yeah. We'll to two things one. Yes. Absolutely. I think television is important, you know, as much as I say, you know, the ratings are are looked at in a different way when it comes to entertainment industry, and they're maybe not people are looking putting too much importance on them sometimes. But I do believe that like, yeah. You have to be on I stress that if you want to be one of the top wrestling companies in the world you have to be. On television. If you wanted to, you know, make money, and and and do your thing, you, can you can have a wrestling company that makes money that that is you know, that you can be happy with that isn't necessarily on television. You know, I n w as a good example of that, you know, what they're doing. But if you wanna gun for me, if you want to change the world as they say you on television..

"I wrote it and my column for the athletic that I just didn't like how much of the focus and the conversation was about Hugh Jackson a week ago, and you can say Ross he was just answering questions. Okay. But his action. After the game put him in a position to be in a position where he was answering those questions he was asked about after the game asked about again on Wednesday. You know, what he was asked about it again on Wednesday because on Monday, he was replying on Instagram to the first take account and integrate. So how much time was he spending going over what people were saying about him on Monday to reply. I don't know. My point is is there's a reason why you don't see any of you guys do stuff like this. And I don't know how much it affected his preparation or whatever. But he came out and did not give his Browns team a chance to win three interceptions. Pick six didn't get a chance to win. Now. He came back and battled in the second half. And if Calloway didn't have that fumble that would have gotten even closer. But they were behind so much early that it was basically over because not only did he not play well in the first half. But Lamar Miller and the Texans ran the ball. Well, again, the Shawn Watson was awesome. Really for the second game in a row. The Texans are told you this Tuesday the power rankings. The Texans are legit. Jeez. Keeping it in the AFC south. How about the Jaguars? They pitched a six nothing shutout against Indianapolis Colts only scoring came from to Josh lambo field goals dominant defensive performance for the Jags. It really really was. I'm not shocked that the Jags won the game. But six nothing in two thousand eighteen I mean, what galaxy are we in right now, by the way, the videos of Tony Kahn, the owner shot Con Son and Tom Coughlin and how excited they were about the win. Those were hilarious. I mean, somebody please make a gif or Jif or whatever of Tony Kahn China like hug, Tom Coughlin and Coughlan not really it was just a Larry Kaufman. Just wasn't looking at him. But it was just kind of funny because Khan wanted some love man he wanted. He wanted some bonding there and Coughlin they were so excited. I love to see. That you know, because you think it's a meaningless game not to them. It wasn't. And by the way, the coach should should've gotten one more play into the game. I mean that guy was out of bounds. I really disagreed with the official that was there. The guy's clearly fighting to get out of bounds. I know about the forward progress, or whatever you gotta give it to them there..
