Tlingit art on postal stamp, and COVID surge in US

"This is national native news antonio gonzales the art work of a clinker artists from juno alaska will be featured on a new post stamp set for distribution next year henry show with cage. Ns reports rico. Lana world is the founder of trickster company a design shop based in juneau that incorporates traditional northwest coast art into everything from t-shirts and stickers to skateboard decks and basketball's he says that an art director for the us postal service called him up one day he had apparently discovered some of Tricks are companies are work at the national museum of american indians. Gift shop in dc and That's sort of where our discussion began about. Making this design happen world decided to go with the scene from the traditional story of raven setting free the sun moon and stars for his design and he says he kept a national audience in mind in other so many depictions of of raven. The box of daylight story It almost a little bit like silly to do it again. But i felt like it was an important kind of desire kind of story that that gets a gateway for people to to learn about cricket culture. His design depicts raven escaping through the chimney as he is transforming back into human form. It's an exciting and chaotic scene. There are stars stuck in his feathers and the sun is in his mouth. Orel says he believes the decision to include. His art work on a stamp is part of a wider movement for better representation of native stories. I think the usps is sort of in line with everyone else trying to figure out how to enable indigenous people to tell their own stories. And so it's it's just an honor to be able to be a part of that and to represent. A Planned Uptick in Defense Spending in the UK

"Here to talk about european defence topics because there are many that have emerged over the past few weeks from the united kingdom announcing that it's going to spend big on defense to the revival of the german eurofighter typhoon and developments on the swiss fighter competition. There's certainly a lot to talk about. So tony i wanted to turn to you first. And in addition to that we have a lot of details to share about aviation weeks military forecast and the opportunities that that presents for companies. Where but i. I'm gonna turn to tony to talk a little bit about what's been going on in the. Uk can bring up to speed on where london is on its spending commitments function. Yeah i mean we been quite interesting week. So last week We sort of learned that this very lodge integrates review. Probably what reporting this year and this was going to be sort of an all encompassing big review Biggest one since the cold which would look at the. Uk's defense posture decisions on offense equipment and so on and basically equip the uk for future wolf Future what we did get instead. Now the review is going to come in february. And i'll come back to that in a sec. What we do get instead was essentially a sixteen billion pound or twenty. Four billion pounds boost to defenses causes now sixteen if you listen to the government's consent to party's manifesto or it's twenty million pounds overall over four years so it's a significant boost and the largest ones called call. What was very interesting with that. There was only a few mentions of. How would inference airspace. The uk will get a space command. Sort of link probably onto the force. Because that's the lead on their in space Operations here in the uk and also probably some more money for the ten pace but it was quite vacant that it was very detail on this. And that's partly because of this lack of strategy that still yet to come out so we're gonna get this extra you know pubic pounds. But we have no idea how it's really going to be spent and there's a federal criticism about that cycle. Tony also. Where's the money going to come from with with brexit on the horizon what what does the. Uk's financial situation. How is it going to be able to afford to boost the budget in that way. This is the big elephant in the room. I mean we're heading. Towards at the moment no deal brexit the most ruinous brexit the one that say basically sends businesses and unemployment into the heavens than we're already in a pandemic and then the government's about to really really took the uk off the edge by not getting a deal. We we wait and see if we're gonna get one so yeah. Where is this money can to come from So the talks. All know spending increases with civil servants next year got sunny poppy onset. Because they'll see there's a huge amount of money that has been spent on the pandemic and then there's also talk of reducing international aid budget for example. But there's no clear defined on how this is going to be paid to too. Many of us are expecting a big liking defense. we folded. we'd probably end up being the only country in europe to start cutting fence oversee sex. She'd been wasn't done a very good job in persuade. Prime minister that you know we do really need to be investing. There are still black holes to fill and alleged to be. It's ten to thirteen billion black holding our equipment. Spend where that money would come from. Yeah i'm pretty going to be paying more tax and goodness knows after brexit houses work. It's i think it's going to be a very difficult first. Few months or maybe years post pandemic and post brexit before. How how this is gonna work out. What he's player that haven't gone away. Regards will happens off the breakfast or what happens to the pandemic needed to be done. How we pay for it big question. Big elephant in the room

What do we know about Joe Bidens cabinet?

"Us president donald trump was never going to react to losing the two thousand and twenty election gracefully us. President donald trump has never reacted to anything gracefully as we go to air trump continues to insist that he's crack. Legal team are going to unveil conclusive evidence of monstrous voter fraud any day. Now although on current form trump's personal attorney rudolph giuliani clearly. Clearly voter fraud easily. Provable seems just as likely to unveil the heron he has appointed his deputy however earlier this week trump or whoever priced his sweaty phone from his. Tony hands grudgingly tweeted that the us general services administration the body which oversees presidential transitions should do what needs to be done. This will make life somewhat. Easier for president elect joe biden. Who will now have access to government funding office space senior officials and intelligence briefings among other things. It also means that he can name his cabinet with increasing confidence. Very possibly because president-elect biden has wanted to emphasize legitimacy in the face of the incumbents ongoing tantrum vis-a-vis the election results. We've learned a lot quite early about the administration. He intends to lead from january twentieth. Is a team that will keep our country and our people safe and secure. It's a team that reflects the fact that america is back ready to lead the world not retreat from it once again. Sit at the head of the table. We will come presently to who. And what is in biden's cabinet but at least as significant things being as they recently have been is who and what is not biden has not at least as of this broadcast awarded any government position to any obvious crooks crepes clowns ding bats. Yahoos griffis spivs cracks. He's own ghastly children or they idiot husbands but wild president-elect biden does have the advantage of a low bar to climb over. It doesn't mean that he's choices are excused scrutiny especially those pertaining to foreign policy on the grounds that. Us foreign policy often has a way of becoming of the people's domestic reality president. Trump's first secretary of state was to put it charitably unorthodox unorthodox choice. I'm not here to represent the united states government's interest. I'm not here to to did norm. Norma here to criticize it. That's that's not what i do. I'm businessman. Rex tillerson a career oil. Baron wants personally awarded. Russia's order a friendship medal by president vladimir putin president-elect to biden could scarcely have made a moral docs pick as america's top diplomat. And that's where the men and women of the state department foreign service officers civil service. That's where they come in. I've witnessed their passion their energy their courage up close. Antony blinken is a career foreign policy. Boffin who served as deputy secretary of state and deputy national security adviser during the presidency of barack obama with national security advisor trump also tried to be a bit left field. He named lieutenant. General mcmaster a serving soldier and actually not a ridiculous choice. Mcmaster is a smart serious and sensible man and all of those reasons fell out with trump. who replaced him with incorrigible. Neo-con head banger. John bolton who only looksmart serious and sensible when standing next to donald trump but this arrangement proved unworkable. Good to everyone. I'm paul affairs. We are coming on the air right now with our breaking news just moments ago. President trump tweeting that he has asked his national security adviser. John bolton to resign. Joe biden has named jake sullivan. I pledge to you. And to the american people that i will work relentlessly in service of the mission you have given us to keep our country and our people safe to advance our national interests and to defend our values who was the president-elect's national security adviser when the president-elect was vice president he also helped negotiate the nuclear deal with iran from which trump famously flounced trump's first. Us ambassador to the united nations was not a completely absurd choice former south carolina governor nikki. Haley he's second ambassador to the. Un was a completely absurd choice. Prodigious republican donut kelly craft. It could actually have been worse. Trump wanted to appoint his daughter. Ivanka but griped that he would be accused of nepotism. I've heard i've already vodka. I've heard how good woody vodka the people that know. There's nothing to do with nepotism. But i want to tell you the people that know no that evacuate would be dynamite about You know then. Be accused of nepotism if you can believe it right. Oh, I love that show. Dragon Show, oh. You were dragging. See I was jacqueline. Have Jaguar half. Eagle or Hawk or something like remember. I played a singing and dancing dragon. Oh, that's even that's even cooler next level right there. You know I teamed up with Cheech Marin. Chlorine, bleach, men and Whoopi. Goldburg, oh, how's that is clean? Was Cool. Yeah I want to be part of that squad right? There aren't maybe the next one then. Where are you originally from Tony? Originally from Cuba born born and Cuban rate in Cuba till I was about eight and a half to your about eight and a half, so in no accent, obviously no, so. I don't well his time. I thought okay. You might. You must know this that if you if you come into a new language before you're in double figures. In other words before puberty, sure you can pretty much learn the new language without an accent That's a fun fact. Yeah, it makes a lot of said. Don't Cain and still retain your original language I speak Spanish pretty much without an accent, pretty fluently right right? And where where did the passion from for acting? Come from? How did that come about? Monte I have no idea the only actor in the history of my entire family going back centuries. I mean ain't nobody. No other actors don't come from a family of actors I've just. I'm an anomaly. Something something you just kind of fell into or I'm an outlier. Yes, I kind of discovered it. Or discovered me. teacher history teacher in high school I heard me read out loud. He happened to be the monitor of the speech team..

"They've had so much happened. In throughout the year that you'd think a lot of that energy is just trapped in there. Making that would have a lot. Do Okay, yeah, I, agree with Tony I would even venture so far as to say that any place that has a mass amount of public interaction like a train station, or a a an airport are anything that has like just constant, because everybody has their own life, they have their own story each individual you know when they come and go through certain thoroughfares, it's they carry everything with them right and so yeah I think like only Senate like it's just so much is is so much energy being transferred? It, it's a hot spot. I would add to it that. I think even let's say a store. Let's look at your guys. Is Episode ghostly about the Clown Hotel Right! I don't necessarily think the climb hotels haunted, but I think people come up with stories about how does. Whether or not, they're true or not to. Because there's a certain level of discomfort with a hotel, right, it's a home away from home. You're expecting the same sort of comfort and protection. You have in your own home like you would around the road, so a lot of ghost stories and stuff are going to try to come up to maybe scare you or make you feel uncomfortable and the best places to strike for those are places that you would feel the most comfortable at and a hotel like said it's home away from home, so a lot of these places you might be traveling for work, and you feel isolated, and it just happens you know. Interestingly enough I mean. I I traveled a lot. When I was in the music industry and There are plenty of hotels that there was no no anything it just just. It was just the next hotel and it was fine. You know there was nothing weird, but then every once in a while there just would be a weird hotel and it'd just be like Oh and. I mean I. I was in national and lead Hilton in Nashville Lovely Hotel. nothing nothing wrong with nothing at all. And then.

"Tell me why it's name at because I break apart. Bird houses to make them into skateboards. That's why on the birth of nowhere to live and now are homeless. Well they birds laying their eggs and places where we can access that exactly so tony goes to the grocery store. He only get one carton of eggs. It's okay the birds are laying their eggs on the ground now because he broke all. The bird houses the ultimate supremacy of man over nature. You got it. It's a powerful message for this day and age that we will prevail humanities tough We've beaten the birds. We've taken their homes. And so what is some little crazy? microscopic bug. That's creeping around for us to defeat now but I do want to get to the game and the game. Is Tony's big family? Roller boogie edition. Modulus style we. Obviously I notice in some of these games. We kind of get dropped right into the skateboarding. Which is maybe the least interesting part. We don't really get a backstory of. Why are we skateboarding? Why we are where we yesterday. And what were we doing the day before and where we go to school and so we do want to try to instill the message of like. Let's tell story of WHO? This person is if we get to the skateboarding great. That would you know that'll be fun at the end of the game but let's sort of set the foundation so that we can build a house that lasts did you Did you go to college? Tony I did not not yet never too late. That's the answer. The answer is not yet. I can remember that we do believe in you. Thank you while you don't work. I'm applications you know when some of these Yahoos make college free. You know what's going to stop you exactly everybody. My Oh that Tony Hawk and gold. Sat sorts. It's true for the right price. It's true it's true so yeah no we should work on your application so I guess the first when you open like the load screen of the game. It'll say like starting application and then we'll fill out our college applications There's probably a personal essay portion that you can write as part of the game maybe like. Oh chain your life yeah. Is there like a summer experience to change your life or made you appreciate your family more you know and we could write that out. Do you have like a a story like that that we can help prop people type into the game? Wow Yeah but I feel like I shouldn't give them any hits. They've got to figure it out for themselves. One hit one little hand. Piney the name of a seed or something. Yeah we took all this. We check all the kids to a couple of years ago. That's Lola. She's she's mad that the wind is blowing me to that really makes me insane. Yeah luck must. They frightens her even leaves the room wearing these exactly. Yeah I mean now's not the time it's not about you right. No my dog is mad right now to apparently on my street. There's another dog that's crazy. Yeah well that's where he said he's he's been going no way right Yeah it's been a big big conversation between all of us. I bet you so. Yeah if you don't want to give a hint about the summer that no he said I sit yeah we. We took all the kids Iceland a couple years ago and it was fun and there were a few challenges we met with end came through better. Ron Shark did you eat the feted shark I have but not that trip not in Iceland just I did have home. I guess I in Iceland I did have. It's not penguin. But what is it called What's the other the other type of Penguin Dolphin Fan I'm talking about Yes yes yes. Matter Puffins puffins yes than me. I had a in Icelandic tasting menu in a serve puffins. Barbara'S ORGANIC PUFFING. It's really not good bobbins. No good peanut butter okay. Bret has so breads holding guitar. Ready Walk and loaded right now. This is Tony this is Brad. Hey Tony it's nice to meet you. I'm just here ready. If you need me I have. You know. I'm a big fan of the Games. And when I when I heard the the college application screen to me that got ideas. Really turning like yeah. I'd love to hear. What does the college application screen sound like? And maybe even you can you have if you have the chops you rufus all the way into like checking into the dorm room and getting set up and then kissing our parents goodbye. Oh Wow wow like okay. All right nice. Where are we in the game now okay? Well I've just I've just read a little essay about how I I guess. Didn't he run shark even though it's famous for and then Now I am like my lava lamp. I'm putting on my fight club poster. That's an Italian I'm I've setting up some really funny like funk. Oh pops and stop for people to discuss when they come in. That's pretty I feel like that is pretty heavy too quickly only because we have so much to do before you get to the actor listening. Yeah it's Kinda like an Mario when you're running out of time. He gets really fast right. Yeah that's one of my daughters. Biggest fears is one that music starts getting so doomed. Like that. When you're no no offense because let's scarier an army now armies way scarier. The Mario Army and so bas- all the phone co. Pops are set up and then your roommate comes in to be like. Hey what's up? And it is a whole family so it's kind of this new modern instant family that we see now in two thousand twenty. Where like you go to college and your roommates are a woman and a lot of children in the right. This is something that is happening now. Okay I didn't know that well because you didn't go but you don't but I guess I'm going. Yeah well when you go now you'll actually be prepared because haze is kind enough to explain to you that your roommate is often a woman several children. She's she's going to college. The whole family is everybody is. So they're like a bunch of Dewey Hauser's they're sort of they're all like one unit so they are essentially one Doogie howser. They all take classes together. They all take tests together as as a as a unit the family is one and they get one diploma at the end is how it works and Lola's well go a lot of explaining you think that's going to be difficult for people to understand in the video game. Yeah I feel like that story. Line is is a little getting a better roommates. An entire can't attending college as a single student as a collective one student. Yeah I got Tony. I mean you're not the audience for the you know like yeah. You're maybe slightly out of touch with the people who are playing your games. Who probably you're dealing with this firsthand almost every day yeah. I'm not the DEMO. Okay I get that yeah. I'm just trying to get to the action. That's all dude. Yes and I would like to do that too and for me. The action is signing up for classes. I like it's figuring like okay the July or at all. What can I take this for me? And what can I take that for my future? Because I don't I do know that I have kids in college so at least I get that. Yeah it's impossible to causes you want but yeah saying Tony. You don't have to decide everything right now. You don't have to. You're just starting college. You don't have to pick the courses you take now or not the career you're going to have for the rest of your life right. You don't have shit correction. Don't put that pressure. Most people change majors thirteen times in their first year of college and they change careers twice that much in their second year call. How do you get high scores? High scores Yeah well in the game study. Unfortunately there's no substitute I see as results are actually in college are going to play the video game about being in college and spend equal amounts of time on that. So they're real life. Yeah it is. This is how they will be going to college as well. Yeah this is so imagine this Kony. There's all like you buy a game for like whatever three hundred dollars whatever the cost now and you play the game and it has no like meaning to your life but it does not relatable doesn't apply we can create a game that people will. They cost a college tuition and is college. And you are taking this. You're playing this game and you are taking college and going to college and in the end when you graduate the game you walk up you hand it to your boss and you say. I'm ready to work now. Well okay so that it's better for us. We're replacing college. I know you wanNA grind the rail. But some of these people have to put their nose in the to the grindstone and actually read a book. Oh and so. What about textbooks in the? Yeah that sold separately do you do. The game has a an in game book store and it is just a list of directions to take you to the bookstore. We're still working out the kinks.

"On doing great Tony I'm doing good how are you keeping safe you staying healthy washing those hands well you know I'm I'm remote right now but what I did we had a cruise planned for last Sunday and everybody knows what happened on about three PM it says no goes so guess what my bags were still packed so we just changed directions instead of getting on a boat going down world high I got in the truck and my wife and I drove to Pennsylvania see our son we were gonna spend time with anyway yeah so what a great way to self isolate just either stop one taking gas and a little bit of food and keep on driving and the beautiful thing up there is he lives out away from town and state parks were open at the time but you know is every moment goes by and it seems to be about a three or five o'clock update every day things are changing so one of the things that changed up there is basically self isolate close your business down unless your essential that leads to a lot of questions and of course you just heard the press conference with the governor and the biggest question I had today and I got a lot of text messages was what's going to happen with my pool service in my pool gonna turn green do I get to keep you know people coming to my house to do so as well what I understand Chris tonight we're trying to get connected to one of our that our news conferences is you know I just I read the Dade County update and construction is still available we can still work and engineers architects they were let loose to think service providers can still work and I didn't hear anything different did you hear something different about not being able to workers I know we're supposed to be working place we're supposed to self isolate that's why I'm here and you're sixteen miles over there I'm icing the chronicle thing is I'm isolated my house in joy in my back yard you and you're looking at a wall in a screen so what is that one of us has a nicer view well here's the thing I'm gonna I'm I don't like to be big headed but I'm gonna say I got a better view today yeah I thought so yeah that being said the biggest question is do I get this is my pool still gonna get service to maintain well let's answer that question the best I can the answer is yes so it's and here's why you know what you are even though it's not essential it's still essential because you could Corradino hazard if you didn't maintain your poll and its correct water chemistry but in in another text message I'm sorry in a phone call follow up with the email let's talk about my distributors my distributors emailed me and then I got a phone call and it basically goes like this if you order material for pick up you're not picking up in the building you're picking it up until in in the parking lot it'll be placed on what call will call and you'll go in are you going to park a lot you'll pick out the parking lot you're loaded up and U. haul it away and go do your job well here's a cop here's the cabbie ought to that as every day of balls each and every business is determining what the best best method to operate under is going to be no I talked to Hayward Hayward has no issue at this point getting supplies I may even though you're supposed to reduce your work force and but some manufacturing is still going to happen because the world still turning it's not gonna stop moving right so supplies from Hayward are still gonna be available whether you're gonna be able to still get no chlorine and acid and dry goods I'm gonna say for now yes that's what I see out Monday and dissipate getting supplies on Monday like we ordered last week but that's still gonna be subject to the terms and conditions of this of the distributor that's the easiest way I can say it you know tomorrow update might be totally different yeah you know you've got your restaurant restrictions you got your you got restrictions all over if people just followed those restrictions let's call them guidelines because they are good proper guidelines I don't think we have a problem yeah and and the reason I say that is is it and do we lose Tony there are we might have dropped off their Tony but basically to sum up what he was saying there is talk about how you know business still running is operational as they can do it right now he would still be receiving shipments as stuff is still being shipped to you you heard a mention there that Hayward is still getting their products out there and I mean they're still manufacturing products now obviously the cabbie out all this is that you are expected to maybe have a little more time in between when those deliveries might get out there you know things are moving a little bit slower a difference or pace right now but you know as does twenty was mentioned there yeah I think a lot of people out there are probably concerned about whether or not they'll be able to maintain their poles and keep their polls clean during this time when they're not able to normally get their usual pool service people out there so that's what this show is here for you and that as Tony was saying there I'm sure we are going to get to here as soon as we get him back but what we are doing is people are still getting their shipments and then they are still being able to ship that stuff out so a lot of this is going to fall on you the consumer to maintain your polls but you are able to still get the pieces that you need the parts that you need whatever you may need now obviously some tasks that you've got to do you're you're gonna have you not mailed him to yourself you're gonna have to wait and hope that nothing goes to wrong in that time period where you're waiting for a regular pool service type stuff to be picked back up again but in the meantime you are still able to order parts for companies are still reports and Tony himself is still ordering parts I'm sure they're still planning tools they're getting ready to build pools as whether or not they'll be able to construct those polls and go through that process will find that out from Tony as soon as we get him back here but if you want to call in right now eight four four two two zero zero nine six five is the number to call in eight four four two two zero zero nine six five is the number if you wanna make amazing things happen in your backyard if you've got a question for Tony if you're looking at your point you're saying you know what I can treat this thing for some stains you know I'm I'm a little bit of a novice at this but all give it a whirl you know as long as it's simple enough then they can go ahead and do that again the number to call us now eight four four two two zero zero nine six five eight four four two two zero zero nine six five we're gonna take a quick break we're gonna get the three big things you need to know then we'll just have an extended final segment of the pool fanatic show here on news ninety six point five W. DPO we're gonna go track down our buddy Tony Caruso you listen to the pool for that show on news ninety six point five W. "Today on happy. Sad confused Tony Goldwyn from ghosts too directing two skandal to Broadway. Hey guys I'm Josh Horowitz. Welcome to another edition of happy. Said confused us a first time guest on happy. Second fused always a fan of Tony Goldwyn. I've seen him in so many different kinds of performances as I said. He is currently his current iteration. His current life is on Broadway and I've seen him in two great pieces of work in recent years. He was on his network last year and now he is currently appearing in the inheritance which is a fantastic piece of work. This came over from one with stellar reviews. I saw it and was blown away by. It's essentially a reworking enforcers howards end. But through the prism of the AIDS crisis in New York in the eighties it is. It's a special piece of work. And satellites closing actually pretty soon march fifteenth your last opportunity to see the inheritance on Broadway. Tickets are available. I would highly encourage you if you're in the New York area. If you're able to get here see it because it's one of the better pieces of theater of CNN. Quite some time and Tony is fantastic in it. Yeah a really special piece work. Anyway we cover a lot in this. Tony I is is a really I you know. He's got a great perspective on a fantastic up and down career. I always love these conversations. Talk about the ups and downs in an actor or filmmakers life and he's certainly experienced all of them You know I think we all probably came to know him I with his performance in ghosts and then he takes a an interesting term because the really the roles or the the right roles in films didn't come after goes so he took kind of like a left turn became a a really successful director at a great feature film directing career and then in recent years had this kind of new wave of acting opportunities. Thanks to a little show called scandal and through it. All Theater has always been there and as you'll hear in this conversation theaters really the constant in his life. We talk about all of that. His impressive family history that Goldwyn. Name a sound familiar to anybody. That's a student of film history. Yes his dad and his grandparents were all in the business and really form a key part of the foundations of of the film business as it were so a real pleasure to Tony. In in my office to chat about the inheritance and a An a really stellar career. Anyway a lot going on as always I want to mention a couple of things. I've been travelling a lot. I did the math. I think I on five points and seven days and that is just too many too many planes but it's There was some family stuff but also a lot of work stuff including a really fun. Shoot that you should be seeing very soon. The byproduct of I caught up with Chris Pratt. Who you know. He's the Best I've talked about Kris on this podcast before we've done so many interviews and conversations in different in different formats over the years and and I mean it when I say it. He's really been like one of the most consistently supportive and good natured. guys that. I've gotten to know in the business and for somebody. That's as huge star is he is. He is really in the in the stratosphere for major says a human being so anyway all which is to say we shot a new really fun bit for Comedy Central. That he was he was so game so game as he always says and he killed it and we're about to debut that that's in conjunction with onward his new film with Tom Holland that opens it opens. March sixth so check out that. That's the new pixar film with those guys and Julia. Louis Dreyfuss is a part of it so you know it's going to be good anyway. That's something to look forward to other things. I've been catching up on. Tv like everybody else. I've been watching our old buddy. Logan Women's show hunters which is really unique and fascinating. I feel like it was kind of made for me it's about Nazi hunters in the late. Seventy s out the Chino's in it. It's great on SAMBA. Really impressive I was GONNA say filmmaking. I mean it has that kind of that sheena filmmaking to it and it's great to see Logan in a really interesting project and grits Logan opposite like a legend like out the Chino and more than holding his own. So yeah a lot of good stuff. All which is to say there's too much damn content out there. We're only in February February one. Good stuff is supposed to be out there now. The good stuff comes later but even I find myself way behind on everything. I've got that running list of TV like everybody else. So I'll be catching up with it all in these leaner months of for the film world and then come. Summer when the blockbusters come I if I'm I'll be as far behind as everybody else anyway. We're not talking movies or TV today. I mean we are a little bit. But we're talking theater theater with Tony Goldwyn again. He's currently starring in the inheritance on Broadway. It closes on March fifteenth. So you have a little bit of time. I really highly encourage you if you're able to get out to see it. It's a two part play. It's a monumental piece of work and I'm really glad I got a chance to see it and I'm glad that it gave us the opportunity.

"And you put yeah you got yeah Tony I was you know just have it and and and and stammered who yeah it by making and score it's just a really good plan for those guys but killers been really determine this year he's gonna get in parks and he's been dynamite around the nineties to greater power play and it's it's been fun watching us here this morning that Donna said the team needed to play with desperation on almost all the guys did you see that tonight I did thing is I've seen them from our team quite a bit of late and even can I talk about it in the way the Washington game we had a play for two periods was no question but read desperate team in the third period would work and we did everything we could to get back in that game we tied it up forcing win go we could extend it and and they got the best of us but it's that desperation off that's the right word but it's we how we have to play from here on out and lot of good things going on our game and I think we're tonight were rewarded for and it's exactly what we've been saying brand they felt like the last month or so they've been playing some good hockey not necessarily rewarded consistently with the night it did come together and I know how much you follow the metrics there's a lot of numbers the people follow and basically saying that the lightning are are better than what the record indicates that at some point it's gonna even adults maybe tonight is the start of a nice little winning streak the same could put together yeah you can it's such a fine line do you we've seen the mistakes look at the Dallas game yeah they dominated Dallas he dominum that game for so much of it and then let it slip away it shows you just how quickly it to happen and they didn't let it happen instead of you know scored a couple goals here tonight and be an up three nothing in and just sit back a little bit and let the other team you know get a little confidence in and you know they have some power place too in it you know yeah we've seen them well and then you let in a power play goal and then another one near like cheese you know we had the lead now it's like now you're scrambling you can see the team could completely change its demeanor and that's the five light them talk about and that can be all within a first period or maybe in the first half of the game and you had it and you let it slip away there are key points in game controlling the momentum that's something that you really have to practice because in the playoffs that goes up ten full momentum changes in a game really can you can get steam rolled a run right over and if you can't turn that around Dan yeah you're gonna be out really quickly but when you practice it all the time and you control those you know you don't have the huge momentum swings your when a lot of games yeah let's take a look last year at the scoreboard for sign up bride centers down the savers three two one one yeah there's a big help for the lighting no doubt about that is kind of a mixed result for teams the lightning needed to lose but there's somebody in front that even a couple of combined with the lighting when they're gonna move up yeah Montreal one in in Winnipeg they dead that one surprised me out occurred when I get home I worked as me I know six two so they obviously had an off night for whatever reason that would help because obviously Montreal comes in right after Christmas here so that could have been pick up two points tonight which they don't and and you know you obviously want to beat him here but that's why all these you know five more games in the division coming up our our they're all for pointers yeah and the may please stop the hurricanes eight to six that was a weird game that was Perkins came out scored three quick goals and we if it was just the back and forth and the birds beat up on the caps seven to three so where we sit in the standings right now Brian so Tampa bay's got forty points through thirty five games and Florida who they're chasing third place in the Atlantic one of the teams are obviously forty one points three thirty six games so once again well you came in handy go in front of them yet they've got think three games on Montreal three games in hand on on buffalo I think too often they have three games in on Toronto who's in second place Toronto Montreal has played thirty six games and they're below Tampa Bay right now with forty points and of course those two teams meet on Saturday cell just like that you get a couple more wins here and you will be surprised the Tampa Bay all the sun occupy a playoff spot the Atlantic yeah and they just have to take it a bill it just it is taking so long we keep talking about it it just to take a really long time to to even out you know with some of these teams are games at hand but and that's all right we're getting there we are well part of great job there because sixty two American holiday.

"In what they're doing or why they do in and the only person i've ever heard give an answer that really resonated with me was goggles and win he said i believed that i was the weakest man god ever created and i wanted to become the strongest man alive like that's win everything changed in this is him as when everything changed my mind and i began to push myself and develop myself and i just thought i get that like coming from a place of self loathing because i wanna know like dino rodney molen of course i can we get him on the show police literally argument oh my god i the chills at the mira thought so tony was like owned me heart and soul growing up as a kid and then because i was following tony i watched the documentary done by stacy peralta i forget the name of right now and in it he interviews rodney molen and i was like who the fuck is this guy he was like at sort of vaguely on my periphery from escape were magazines and when i was a kid but i don't really remember him and hearing him talk i was like whoa now in the documentary they paint this like and it it's believable they paint a story of the tortured artist whose dad was i think abusive and who's certainly was like you can't fuck escape board i don't want you on that thing like really really wrote him hard and so he had to go basically practice skateboarding in secret on this like three by three concrete slab that he had this backyard and becomes literally the father of modern skateboarding learning all the flip tricks the all these the everything and i get why he needs to get good i get why he needs to get away from his father i get why he need something that is his own as tony called it blank canvas and learn to paint for himself and find that selfesteem and confidence and go into something in a flow state in a meditative state and all that so i get why.
