"They get better options. Play chief. Strategist Tony Banks is over at the plasma with the transaction. Tony what are you seeing so big day X so K.. Today now this generally doesn't trade a lot of often contracts only about six thousand contracts day. Today we saw about four times the average volume inputs puts outpace calls three two one now if we look at the options volume today. What's interesting is that at the open? We saw a lot of really far out of the money. December puts being being sold as things stabilized around lunch. We saw eighty to eighty five puts being sold but as we got towards the close we saw this really large December eighty a two and a half puts trade at nine hundred sixty contracts for fifty six cents. This train has a break even price of eighty one dollars ninety four cents. That's implying a four and a half percent and moved to the downside that's a fairly bearish trade so if we take a look at the chart here what we see is that we've had this pretty large rally. Since the beginning of October up to that lovell and to my I see about an eighty three dollars technical level that just corresponds with that fifty day moving average traders betting for quick bounce to the downside. All Right Tony Thank you. Tony Zang more options action. Be sure to check out the full show Friday five thirty. PM Eastern time here on CNBC all right coming up next. We've got the big levels to watch watch right after this. Welcome back to pass Monday. Trade troubles spooking stocks. Tuesday the S. and P.. Five hundred down for third day in a row and at its lows of the day falling to its lowest I level in a month. So is this setting up to be a dreadful December for Wall Street squad charts and Todd Gordon Trading Analysis Dot Com. Todd what are you looking at cable no. I don't think this is going to be a repeat of last year. I think we are in a solid technical uptrend here. This is the weekly. SNP A beautiful parallel channel. Here as Carter worth would say say. I don't draw the lines. The market draws the lines. We are still well above support. We I still stand by Melissa. I do have a four thousand target again. It could be two Buddha three years down the line. I don't know when it's going to happen. But that's when the current market at its rate of trajectory will intersect resistance at the four thousand mark. So I think we're fine. This is the weekly. Let's go down to the daily here. We've broken above beautiful level it's about Thirty thirty was resistance. Anything that was broken we return into the scene of the crime offers support. It's just a natural kind of check back Anybody who's caught short. We use that as a synthetic synthetic level to cover to buy pullback buyers tires will get in and hopefully momentum guys will as well carrying the S. and P. Two new high so I continue to be long in my portfolio stocks and options. I like it. Don't like the volatility last couple of days but the volume is not been excessive on the downside trading about eighty million seventy million S. P. Y. shares. which is very similar to what we've seen even on updates over the last couple of months so today's volume was not excessive? We're still being led by technology. Some sectors that are leading our xl K.. Is Twenty mentioned before healthcare and also financial so by far right now Nasdaq is up from the SNP xl K.. Continues to outperform so. This is the Nasdaq one hundred up here relative to the SNP. You can see that we're moving higher so that means MDX SPX is moving which means any XS are performing Same thing The thirty thirty level and the S&P correlates to eighty thirty in the NBA. So again if we can go back test it I think it's a nice entry point to resume the uptrend all right. So but todd for the S. and P. Five hundred we've got about sixty points to the downside before we make any real damage absolutely. Yeah it's right now it's fine. I'm not saying we're going to get there I I do think that support continues to be in the zone. We don't need to wait if you're looking to buy shares if you're looking to add volatilities up and again volumes. He was not very large. So don't wait that exact level if you're looking to add but I do think from seasonal basis we should seasonally. We should rally into the end of the year. What's up these safe havens at this point in the market? I mean if you chose to go that route gold perk up today. For instance gold perked up. I mean this is a pretty big move down in bonds up in rates eight so no safe haven there and again if you look at the sector rotation this rotation that we look at on a weekly basis you've got technology leading financials are coming in. I think at that xcel laugh might be a good place to hide in increasing rate environment. So I would say look at some of the bags that accelerate is shown some good strength he sixty s and P points. Let's get you back down to SORTA thirty twenty five thirty thirty. which is if you go back and look? That's where we topped out at the end of July that Pooch move up in July then the subsequent sell also makes sense we do a back and fill to the thirty thirty level. That's why I think we're going and quickly was the thing that December to remember it made me think of a long December by counting crows. Yeah it's a good. It's a good song to stop it. And if our crack staff that good the altro or the the knicks locked. They'll be playing call saying it finances place to hide in your view. Well it's interesting because if you look at stocks that kind of fell out of bed today you can look at Bank of America. You can look at apple and you could look at either trade war or we talked about you know two stanzas. Seventeen bibs has been flattening you fifteen basis points pull back on the tenure banks have been incredibly sensitive to that That's really what you have to watch. I I look at the ten year chart and you want to follow those channels. That are nice from the bottom up. These guys have been talking about. That's one maybe breaking down and if that breaks down that's not good for equities all right our thanks to Todd Gordon ready now says dot com up next final traits. I'm going to say a word to work where you'll worry taking I'm GonNa give you see game. I think these chips and some of those names around the chips. I think they'd go. Higher Gate was spotted. Late Gideon talked a lot about Google. I I think the chain of the top not really changed at all and I think the secular businesses great and I think you look at the other properties and cloud especially gut growth. Yes MasterCard. "But that's the best thing he's ever done as an owner. Okay. It's funny 'cause you mentioned both the best. And the worst thing he's ever done as an owner. The thing that could have changed his franchise. The history of this franchise, early was the hiring of mardi shot. Yes. And the thing that kept the franchise from changing its history early was the firing of Marchand. No, that would. That's our next question. The worst things that have happened in my number one has been to me. It's, it's the same guy, the hiring is the best thing. I think that's neither had done the firing was the worst thing that he's done. And I'll go. I mean, not the, the worst things I mean, so you think hiring mardi was a better thing than hiring Joe because I don't know show would accomplish. What Marty was going to accomplish? What? That's fair. I'm just my reaction in the moment was that was that I still feel like Joe saved him from another. What would have those four years in hindsight? We're pretty good. Yes. Even though we had a losing record. But if you don't fire Marty Schottenheimer, you don't need to hire Jill you don't. So. I mean and no matter what you think of mardi, this franchise would take perennial playoff appearances and double digit wins in a season without making the Super Bowl over what they've done. No doubt. So I mean, I think that's the best in the worst things he's done. And let's face it. It's a shortlist of the best things. He's done. And the worst things he's done. Is it's oh, God. It's like it's like a role toilet paper so that we just don't. We each had one good thing that he's done, by the way, I want to make clear that this conversation is football team related. I do understand. And I've recognized this before the Dan and Tanya and the organization in the name of the organization, they've done a lot of chair. And Dan, for what I've been told by people who I believe, does a lot of charitable acts at don't get publicity. That's right. So this is something different something different. They were talking about the football team. The most part and everything associated thing, we're talking about the thing you care about, you know, particularly care how much money gives the United way, then don't pretend you do two things on the list of the worst things that he's done. I mean I could create a list of twenty yeah. But the top two things to me or both. It's a one in one eight the one is firing Marty Schottenheimer. I to me the moment he did it. I was pissed off as a fan, why? Because if you watch that two thousand one season you saw a football team that had changed because of a head coach. Yes. And a head coach had had begun to, to basically put together that the very toughness a'disciplined part. He he had old players that were bitching and screaming, which was a good sign by the way, the Bruce Smith and even Darrell greens. And he had young players like lavar Arrington that had totally bought in that was the future. And with Tony Banks and Kent Graham at at quarterback, they turned Owen five start a very ugly Owen five start which by the way included, Dan getting in the middle of things early on. He wanted Jeff George to start the season and Marty's like he's a loser, essentially, but Jeff George started the season and then remember after nine. Eleven you had the break because they cancelled the games the week after nine eleven and they came back on a Monday night in Green Bay at Lambeau with Jeff Georgia quarterback and they got beat thirty seven to nothing in that game. And the next day mardi said he's gone. Yeah, he's outta here. Kinda got his way and they took some lumps the next few weeks. And then they lost a painful game on Monday night in Dallas..

"I remember that particular class at Adelphi. And then I went to NYU I was still tending bar on the weekends to pay my bills because I didn't have scholarships. I didn't I didn't. Take a penny from my parents, I paid it all myself. You know, people right hander your college dropout. Well, Hannity couldn't afford it. He went back to school on three separate occasions. And I I think all told I have little over three years finished. And I just I didn't have I didn't have the money to pay for it. And I didn't want to ask anybody for it. So I don't regret my decision. And I study more now to be honest than I ever studied it in my life, as you know, and you've seen you watch every day. And with every show, we do you want to add one last phrase, I can sell before we get to the this. And you know, I'm arguing with people in our office about this right now and here in the studio, I mean, ethan's on my side kylie's on my side. I don't know where Jason on this. So surprised I really am. Well, I mean, the whole thing about people being outraged up in Washington college sports forever in the stuff that athletes get away with I see it all the time. If you commit fraud, you should hang up. But Jason for Jason those a lot of kids that get in on their sport ability sports adds to an enriches the entire school experience for the kids that get in academically yet we're talking about fraud. I mean, how many schools talk about fraud, I'm talking about athletics in general. They lower the standards for, you know, tennis baseball basketball football, or whatever whatever they do. I know in many cases that the schools don't sacrifice the education, they invest in the athletes education, knowing that they're not at the same academic level of some of their their fellow students were totally academic standards. Do you agree with that? You know, how much money football brings to the university of Alabama. I'm i'm. Tony Banks would Notre Dame didn't want to hire urban Meyer because urban Meyer wanted to lower their academic standards. So he went to Florida because the because Nick Sabin doesn't really give a rip about what a kid's score is what he's gonna tell the parents is we're going to give him the help. He needs to academic pass. So he can stay on the team and let us win, Sean. How many floors? How many go to class Lou? Board with every other kid gets the go to the football game and cheer their school on it. It creates school spirit and unity. It's huge. Really helps their betterment when they go to the job market because they have a good school spirit. It doesn't do anything. At college. You know, how everybody I know that's ever graduated from whatever school it is. And again, I didn't have that experience there. So proud of that that school. They love that school. Whatever it is. It could be. I agree with this part of it. So I love like anybody who listen to Sean. I can't tell you a single thing about sports. I don't know. What's happening? I don't know what season it is. They sports again puts I don't know. Thing. However, I love all of the fun stuff. That goes with sports. I love how people get really excited. I like the potties..

"Terms mature we lost the game three or four times? And we just kept coming back. They hit tough shots. We came back excuse me and tough shots. And. Just a great basketball game can get better as a coach better. Teaching and doing a lot of things go from there. I don't really look back and reflections too much. I'm sure we'll take a little time off and just got to reflect a little bit on the season. And and then, you know, this this kind of I think on both both sides, do some soul searching and figure out. What's the what's the best plan going forward? Got nobody else than what the hell Tony Banks that you want to fix any AM. Hope. Everybody had a very nice. I miss. I did. Now, we just gotta hang on some New Year's start two thousand nine hundred and a few days. Arizona's glass eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six the number. So we a little. "I love the guy and he just didn't didn't wasn't really ready for it. Right. So you have a terrible season last year you get new coach comes in. I'm watching their rostrum looking offensively. Those guys are ready. They're a team that when you look at them and you watch him play and you watch them practice, you're like, listen, ten, twelve when team, you know now if defensively they can become a team that gets some turnovers, they'd have turnover an interception two week, fourteen last week, not one reception, right? So they turn overs because Paul Guenther runs an aggressive style, the opportunistic defense. And in this league you have to pick. You can't be great on both sides of the ball you look around. Most teams are great on one side and they got some players on the other side, but like Jacksonville, Jacksonville, great on defense, are they gonna score ten points ever all year on on offense. Maybe they don't have to. So you look at it and if you can just opportunistic on defense, which is where they're kind of geared now, they're kind of leaning that way. Then you've got a great offense. You're back in in that position. So I just think that last year was such a, it was just not good. Boy. Bronco should be defensively. Imminent and but the games between the chiefs and the raiders should be roughly two thirty seven to two thirty. Yeah, there's gonna be the hundreds. Yeah. The scoreboards they only have the two digits, but I think that we might need to adjust assume one. So you're off domestic for the raiders now you were the first first overall pick in two, you know what? Would that? How early on in that process in that August or September where you name the starter. So I think that after the third preseason game, they told me and I started actually, I started every preseason game. I'm not sure why they did that. But I, I guess you know the guys that they had in their Tony Banks came in later on in camp Kint Graham can I had a bad back all all camp. I wasn't really competing with anyone. You know, that's kind of said this about all the other guys, like Josh Allen, like he just he's going to be better in shorts and t shirts throwing the football around than everybody got, and I was kind of in that same situation, the guys were older than I was competing against. They were kind of just there to help me, you know. So I think when you when you look at it from from my standpoint, I was probably going to start all all along. And do you think, because it's it's a baseball thing more than you hear it about quarterbacks in the NFL, but it does seem with Josh Allen. This is what's coming out that you're going to do damaging. I think you are sort of the cover boy for that for horses. Boy, they threw David card to the wolves in in his rookie season offense line. And he couldn't get untracked after that because it was because each started seeing ghosts true or no, is energized. Look at Josh Allen situation. I'd see my situation almost exactly and I even said in our meeting, their offensive line looks worse than mine. You know with what they would, they've shown the preseason. So man, I wouldn't put him out there. I asked. I just said, we'll get the bills trade him to the NFL forced the Bill to trade, Josh Allen to team. They can protect him because I wouldn't play him when I saw Nathan. Peterman was going to start. I was actually relieved in. Not that I feel I have any. I haven't even negative feelings Peter. Peter do go out, you do it, it'll be fine. Do we find care? No, it's fun. You do. So that's what personally I had a sense of relief. So sorry, Nathan, I'm sure it's going to be fun. And what council would you have for Sam darnold on the biggest of all stages, the Big Apple SAM's. I think Sam watching them in the preseason. He's going to be fine. He, he's able to protect himself. He knows where things are coming from understands what his offense is. He's able to utilize his legs move around a little bit kind of by some time transcend the Xs and os is the term we like to use the quarterback room, a guy that does a little bit more than the coaches even ask while still being safe and smart with the football..

"For my perspective, I don't think the market will sustain all of these different players. I think it's similar to many of the markets where you see a flurry of innovation than actually what happens is the customer designs there is really only so many customers to go around and with that in mind, then they will choose the winners pretty quickly. I think it will be very interesting to see actually whether the v. c. kind of investments knots to dry up around app tickling the retail talent Bank space, which is pretty heavily saturated now. So you know the point where VC money starts drying up and where customers are really sort of favoring three or four of the major players in this space. Then naturally, I think you'll probably start to see disruption moving onto another another business line, potentially, even SME banking says anything that Tony Banks can do that non talented Bank con- apart from the obvious kind of banking services. Well, I think the balance sheet is the major one really the point we're actually you're holding the money yourself and actually it's not being held buyer a third party and a Bank for you. Then then I believe that opens up your opportunities to to do a lot more that said, if you look at players like Amazon, Apple even plays like simple over in the US. They were able to achieve so much without actually having a banking licence because they can get very, very close without straying into the sort of realms of the regulatory space with that in mind as a customer, do you actually need a Bank that point then if you can get so much from non-banking player? Well, trodden saying, but I think we definitely need banking, but we might not need banks. Looking ahead to the future, what will all could the banking landscape look like in the next five to ten years? I think in terms of the challenger banks, we see, I think that'd be fewer independent. Digital challenge banks, I think we'll see consolidation both in terms of the big incumbents buying some of these startups overseas banks looking to get into the UK Macy's as good way to break into the market. And unfortunately, I just think, you know, some will fail. That's the nature up so the, you know, not all of them will survive. What's interesting. Tim of the future of challenge of banks is look at something like Marcus by Goldman Sachs in the US they're staffing up to launch that in the UK. Now that is a startup digital only Bank backed by a massive investment Bank and it points interesting trend in that. The reason they've loan. Is that the traditional advancement banking earning streams are have been weaker in recent years, and regular is also keen for the big banks, diversify the capital pools. So it takes all of boxes for somebody like Goldman Sachs. Goldman Sachs have always been a very innovative and forward thinking Bank, so they may be the first of others. We may see Morgan Stanley launched in the in the US. We may see CitiBank or Bank of America. Other people that and once they have something successful in their local market, digital is very easy to just roll that across. So the monsters maybe rubbing up against the Goldman Sachs is of the Morgan Stanley's of the world in five or ten years time, which is a very different challenge to taking on Lloyd say or Barclays. So in five or six or seven years time, I really think. We're heading towards this hub-and-spoke model this control central marketplace platform, all these generic terms. I think we need a new name for it. Actually, smart Bank I think is a bit Naff. Challenge has been courted by ten. The me I can see it. So clearly this idea that you have this single place that you go. You can see all of your money. So count agregation basically have some really intuitive what you speak with PFM telling you how much you've got left to spend this month where money's gone. Maybe some tips on how to optimize your investments.
