"Right because already last night Billie Jean King talking with him during the match that I wanted to get twenty four here and twenty five in Australia Serena knows that the minute she is one people want the next one he'd see iota feel tight courts are you actually asking me do I think Serena will lose this match is under estimate is it going to be different yeah it's going to be different she's going to win this match. against the woman who had never even played in the U. S. open before who has never been to a major final before the crowd is going to be a hundred percent behind Serena Williams for her national championship and if you go back to that Rogers Cup situation you'll remember two things of note one that interests you idolizes Serena and colder a freakin based at the. at the end of that very small match until I think there's a revenge quality here for so we know what she's been rolling through this my cheese drop one seven six matches one set I think he wins it I do Tony I think she does for a couple reasons one she's moving so much better she is healthier now than she was not only in Toronto but in those previous final she you the the movement isn't chronicle Chris Evert has talked about it in great detail it's instructive. "Raiders have been sending an almost to try on approved helmets have not been banned by the league rules and basically internal brown's not comfortable wearing any of them he wants to wear his old comfortable home at that he doesn't believe protrusions vision and prevention from catching footballs on the field hi Adam I have to think that in some ways you might see an up hill battle to win this with an arbitrator you showing your tweet his threat how legitimate is that Fred actually right you know the law better than I and you know how arbitrators think better than I but I would just say here that in Tonio brownies own predictable player and somebody who a sensually went to France to step into the cryotherapy chamber bone just put on that football blistered up now this comes where along comes a story where basically that only not the fourth is the reason that he's been away from the raiders and the reason he's not practicing right now so Antonio brown got complications literally from his head to his feet this summer and now we wait to see how this case as resolved as early as next week that's Adam Schefter on SportsCenter earlier tonight I'm Chris black with them a dollar singing for Jonathan hood right here on ESPN one thousand and the ESPN app you know what this is this is the guy in the office that there's one rule handed down by corporate and he's the one guy who's not going to follow along and it hurts everyone else you know like a so you know I've worked here for quite sometime in my early twenties I worked at apple yeah yeah everyone's been in an apple store right I worked there for four and a half years and they have the genius bar were you going to get things fixed right and that's where you get help but you can't just walk in and get help right there's a process to that right like you have to sign up for an appointment no matter what the problem is and it has to be the appointment needs to be opened so even as an employee if I was walking through the store and I want to help you I had to go to a computer open your appointment before I could actually help you why did I have to do this well it's so then corporate could see how many people were actually being helped in a day and then they can out allocate head count to get more people to work in stores right like there's a process to it who is handed down from corporate I can't just go around being the hero helping people **** nilly fix their their iPhones right because it hurts the rest of the store the rule was you had open the appointment before you help the customer no matter what the situation was but there were people who would walk around it just help people that's hurting the store being a bad guy right like that happened all the time the rule is from the NFL you have to wear the new Hellman Antonio brown don't be a bad guy he's being a bad guy I mean he's only been I mean yeah he's been a bad guy to the to the raiders you need him but ultimately he's only hurting himself financially because if he doesn't play I don't have to pay you and then sorry you're just done like that's it don't play dumb play that's fine I'm not gonna I'm if on the like I said if I'm the.

"Well in an interview with NFL dot com. Former raiders head coach Jack del Rio said the following about new Oakland whiteout in Tokyo Brown. I love the talent bunt round has clearly shown that he's going to be pain in the ass. He's a very talented guy. And I was loved to have them. I would work with them. No problem. If players have talent, you tend to tolerate it a little bit unless it becomes disruptive to your team. He's going to learn that really help the team nippy continues doing the things he's been doing just like he upset the Steelers. He's going to upset the next team. He's on Ryan. We're gonna start with you here. Would you want in Tonio Brown on your team day of the week and twice on Sunday? This week I did some digging because I want to find out because I'm not in love with just judging a player in till I know what's actually happening. And the one thing I started to find out about Antonio Brown. He was arguably the hardest working player that any team any guy had ever seen ever seen. Not to mention a regards to this beat between key and the organization and big band and the colts got to it and Tonio is an amazing guy. A heard this from several sources is a little extra yet. Does he like his tension? Yeah. As he should and the strange relationship was between he and Ben Rothlisberger. Now's bit necessarily a bad guy. I'm not going to make that statement. And I haven't gotten that from his teammates. Does he handle things wrong is a little privilege? Yes. So if I made GM if I'm an executive do I want a guy who can demand the double team who can run out Trie who can actually go and get it? Now, I agree will because I know you're gonna throw it out. He made some mistakes last week. But you exclude what he whole Jew and all that I will take an Antonio Brown any day of the week. While would exclude what he did with you. Why do you a favor tonight? Reality doesn't I have a ferret or Tom offender. Yeah. Oh, man. You debate yourself out. Here. Let me tell you something you want Antonio Brown everyday that we can twice on Sunday. Sure. He's gonna show up every one of those days of the week about week seventeen of the NFL season. We doesn't show up not for the week of practice before final game leading up to ten playoff berth. And then on that Sunday, you'd take twice on his team said, thanks, but no, thanks. You don't get to show up on Sunday after not practicing all week and think you're going to play and all that by the way is secondary. Antonio Brown has absolutely taken a blow torch to the Pittsburgh Steelers organization, and he hasn't stopped even when he's out the door. You bring up been Rothlisberger. How about the Rooney's how about Kevin call to GM? How about you Schuster? There's nobody safe from intone, yo Brown's pettiness and wrath. There's no teammate. There's no organization that is safe and Oakland Raiders better. Understand that in clear clear is this guy cares about one person and one personally, I don't doubt that you spoken to somebody. I don't know who your sources are. But we only have to rely on ESPN. Airwaves were Ryan Clark. A former teammate of Antonio Brown's has said he's about one person himself that is who Tonio Brown looks out for anybody else player. Coach Mike Tomlin's also somebody who's done under the bus owner or GM. They get in the way Brown belt. They are twenty you can find the pinions on Antonio Brown's, certainly not unanimous. I'm sure you can find some guys who who like him. I've also run across many many guys who don't like him and think he's a just a a bad person, which I that. Well, I can't pass judgment. However, I would take him on my team. But for different reasons than than Ryan would I would take him on the team because I know what is the problem with Antonio Brown? I think with the Steelers is they were lulled into believing that he wanted to be their friend and that he was a guy that they could confide in and trust. That's not true new teams know that new teams know that on Sunday he's going to be a playmaker baller. Get him the ball himself. Elsewhere. But you know, what he's not going to do. He's not going to sell. The team short as far as effort in play beggars concern on Sunday. So I think the problem comes when you start to expect more from Antonio Brown than he's capable of. He's not capable of all those other things he's capable of compromising defenses. So yes, I want them on my team. But I'm not going to go out if he's my teammate or he's one of my players. I'm not gonna tell him any secrets because I knew I can't trust them. I'm not gonna rely on him to come dummy. This because I know I can't trust. I get that. But you seem to be assuming that if you walk around minding your own business, you'll be safe with Antonio that. If you don't if you keep them at arm's length distance, and you don't engage in just expect him to show up on Sundays and play. Well that you'll be okay. But I think that history shows anything, but that, and I think you do Smith Schuster this last week illustrates it set aside what reaching out to him back when he was a football player and doodoo being extremely humble and nice guy and asking Tonio advice set aside that Judy was saying or doing anything this week when it came on what happened this somebody on Twitter mentioned juju hold on that caused Antonio and on throw June. No, no, no. No. No. No. No, no. I don't agree with that. I don't agree. That's what happened. Okay. There is a problem. There is a huge defied divide where you have been wrought this burger, you had AB water all over the place here. It'd be appropriate nonetheless. If you were endorsing Big Ben, and I'm not saying that he's completely wrong for endorsing Big Ben and Tonio was sensitive to that which I say, it was his fault because he shouldn't have gone at juju in which the fact of the matter how he did he should have chilled on that. But he did go at juju and was funded at me cannot pull his car real quick. You would rather take. He's need to tell you to take Zeki Elliott whose off the court issues literally cost the Cowboys their season. But shoot don't want Antonio Brown. Who has no incidences no problem? And we know the issues with big bins leadership. And that all on Ezekiel Elliott to the extent that we know exactly what happened off the field and extent that he is indicted by the NFL for having to be culpable missing games is certainly somebody say, hey Zeke. Why don't you be a little more responsible while you be a little more dedicated to your responsibilities your job and your team? So that you don't cost anything that's different than in Tonio who is actively seeding Zand ill will how so this is your trying to make this a been absolve many. Thanks. Thanks. It's not it doesn't have to be a been versus Tonio thing. Just wait is though. Tom. As been verse AB thing, necessarily, but you wanna use this last season as a kind of defining moment of who AB was you're not taking into account that we're bowl contenders for the entire time. That was there like that team has been very good. I agree with you hit. Somebody's behavior recently has been terrible. But that doesn't change the fact that he's awesome on the field. There are lots of teams every team had the bunch of guys on that are jerks and people don't like it doesn't stop them from being competitive. I think the fact that he that he threw juju under buff. Like, I don't agree with that. I think what happened was people were acquainting him in juju as like similar players, and in my eyes his intent was not to embarrass you. But to show that they are not on the same level that you look up to me, I'm above doodoo, that's petty and sallow and problematic. But that doesn't preclude him from helping your team become a spoken. The Steelers have been every year since he was also didn't win any. This fault. What is Oakland half to do to make sure that Brown does buy into their culture and live up to their expectations on and off the field? Then not trade for him. I mean, that's. I mean, that's. What do they do? They do a little bit. No. No, no. And let me answer this question. There's nothing that they can do Dominique unite had several debates, and I think we've been honest with each other about the prison through which we've you things you are a player's oriented guy. You want to see the players side of it. My rebuttal to you is your only one player side of it there. This is player versus player. This is Antonio being a poisoned pill locker room. Why don't you have a huge back that player? It's not that. I'm player Centric necessarily. I it's not that. I have anything do or anybody else. I'm telling you that ask someone who's been in locker rooms, there are jerks not necessarily wanna use on every team. Can we create is another one and he did not hurt their chances? He not unique unique Nolan. You so many stories, and it's so much worse than tweets out. Only one that team that team was competitive while he was there. We gotta move on from this discussion right now Tonio brownie as all of his seventy four touchdowns from Ben Rothlisberger right now seems like he's trying to build his brand as a superstar. Not sure. He's going about it in the right Ray, though. Will he was too short to play basketball? But will never listen. We'll let his work ethic. Do the talking for him. Always Jim always running drills will new where there was a will. There was a way and he was will. But then after a second child was born he realized the pros were all way better than him. So we'll give up and buried his high tops in a tearful ceremony. But one day he heard that gyco could save money on car insurance. So he switched and saved a bunch, which was awesome. Welcome back. The first take come to live from the seaport district. Pier. Seventeen brought to you by chase. Well, the news of magic shocking resignation as Lakers president of operations shocked everybody including LeBron James a Ramona Shelburne reported that the Lakers superstar was stunned to hear of magic decision in when he made it at that. I would say rather strange times Orion. We're gonna start with you here. How did this make magic look? Just fine. When I look at magic when I think of magic, he's the same guy be honest with yourselves when Magic Johnson took the role of president of operations or whatever with the Lakers. You didn't have high expectations. In fact, Bunin expect much. We all knew he had always had outside ventures. We all knew his passion and his love for the game. We all knew that Magic Johnson was not going to stop being Magic Johnson. And I don't wanna make this just about the fun. But when the backstabbing came involve when the frustration set in when he didn't have the power that he initially thought that he would have. I'm not surprised to see him. Go guys. Like me you guys like us. I'm not walking away from that money. I can't do it. Magic Johnson can do that. So seeing the way things had operated. Nothing about this apprise me not a thing. I think it makes them look really bad. Ryan, I truly do and don't take any pleasure in that. I don't I don't wanna be the guy. Criticizing Magic Johnson. I think anybody. Why are you in because it's the truth? And because you got to say the truth, and you got to let the chips fall where they may because our job is to tell the truth not to be liked, and I do feel like a lot of people being concerned really concerned with whether or not Magic Johnson liked them over the last day or two, and it's it's look it's an intoxicating idea. Magic Johnson one most likeable guys in professional sports from the most likely guys on television. You wanna be on his good side? I would love to be. But the truth put somebody on the bad side the net Soviet Magic Johnson looks really bad here. He looks weak. He looks like he checked out when the going got tough. It looks like he didn't want to deal with the criticism. It looks like he didn't confront his boss face to face. Look in the eye and say, I don't want to do this. In fact, admitted to most of these things he was happier. When he could be Magic Johnson Basseterre basketball. He was happier. When he could be a guy who could help people out in tweet a little more. He was half year when he didn't have to go and tell Jeannie buzz. I'm out these are not signs of strength when it comes to leadership. I don't think it will ever overshadow who magic John. And was on the basketball court. He's a legend, and that will be eighty to ninety percent of who we think of when it comes to Magic Johnson. But we cannot look at this today and go, oh, that's okay. That's good. That's fine. So it's anything. But I think you're right back. Probably a lot of people their reaction is emotional. And they don't want to be critical of Magic Johnson. I don't have that same reaction. I like Magic Johnson. However, I understand when there are things that are done wrong to point out that it looks bad on him. So I think that this was not the perfect way to do this. However, I don't think it really looks that bad. So what's your arguing is that what he should have done? He recognized that he was not a quipped emotionally or physically or mentally to do this job any more. So he he resigned, maybe should've called genie. I, but I don't think that necessarily changes anything the in product is he still resigns? So if someone is not capable of doing a job for some reason, they should resign. I think it's the right thing to do. And somehow you're arguing it makes them look bad yet. So step away. Magic up and say, I'm bad at this job. He did not step up and say hold on on prepare. The for this job. He did not step up and say I have done this job poorly. He didn't say any of those things. You're right. That would be a self aware realization to step back in that moment. What he instead said is unhappy. I don't like the criticism. I didn't want to deal with genie face to face. He's said things Dominique we consider just because you felt it doesn't make it right toughness is defined by surviving by fighting through your circumstances. Not walking away when the gets and right now, we're not going to sit. And celebrate magic walking away. Can't do that puddle one thing. We're not going to do is pretend like Magic Johnson isn't tough. Magic Johnson in the nineties got an HIV diagnosis, and he seems to have pretty much. Because I don't want to run away. Don't you're turning situation, you're arguing that that gun not indict toughness in some. No, I'm not in week. Listen week. Johnson. No, I'm not backing away clarifying because to be difficult the nuances escaping. I'm not indicting his character. I'm not telling you who is what I am telling you how we handle this situation. This was on hold on hold on. Unprofessional

"And I don't know that bomber can win that war unless he overspends which he certainly has the money to do. Yeah. The one great their nickname for bomber is off. Yes, it is. We'll tell you what that is. Next. It's fantastic. And by the way, I think it's gonna stick from. Now. I think you're ever going to be this is only going to be what we call him from this point forward. He's no longer. Steve bomber. No, we'll tell you who is next. Mason Ireland Jeff Katz in for John ESPN LA. For me and other drink. We're trying to say what we're going to do for opening day. We wanna do you know it's opening day. Two weeks from today on ready to weeks baseball baseball. We'll talk about all the new rules that they're working on right now, which is some really really cool stuff. And and some stuff that really has riled up, Greg. He's really riled up today about some of this stuff every day. I'm always Ryan purist. You're like George will. He takes one little rule, and he's like I said, that's the whole those rules. It was an air major leagues or one rule is had issue with those it out. Do you worry to hijack hijacked? You worry about the way. We're all baseball fans here about the way that baseball handles their messaging, and how botched the last two postseasons of Ben when you compare it to how the NFL and NBA handle their their off seasons are not postseasons off season. What do you mean their message like hot stow like the idea of free agency and the the way? The issues with the union and the players I feel like baseball kind of loses some steam when the season ends when you question NBA NFL. There's always excitement they know how to keep that sort of scoop of everyday there's a little new story too. Right. I mean, look at his doesn't do that. We haven't done a lot of it. But look at NFL free agency right now. I mean, you know, Dell Beckham junior to Cleveland and Levy mbelle to the jets and Tonio brownie every day stores like there's a constant where's teddy Bridgewater going to decide in Miami. I don't know if he might. There's an art to this and baseball doesn't know how. Well, and the problem is actually let's let's hold that. Let's us an expression that I really hate. Let's put a pin in that. We'll get after it later, and we'll get after later because it's a it is a good subject. All right. So if you're just tuning in, we're talking about the fact that at some point the Lakers and Irving as off who's executive with MSG did consider the idea of the Lakers moving back to Inglewood into a completely rebuilt form. Now the forum if you not chance to be there is for for my money. I was there to see museum onto neck. Oh, you I almost went to that show. And I'm sorry. I'm told production-wise it's pretty spectacular wise. They do an unbelievable job. But that is the state of the art place to see a concert. I saw Bob Seger there two weeks ago. And it really is a site line wise, if you've never been you've been a where gardens since they redid it same guys, and it's the same thing the sight lines from everywhere, it, frankly. The answer measuring status to shame contravention. Yeah. So, but this the idea would be this would have been completely rebuilt for the Lakers to return in twenty twenty five. Now, a member Lakers. The bus family owned sixty six percent AG has twenty seven percent, which probably would be sticky since they own staple center and Patrick soon..

"Be a negative is what I just said because he knows he's not going anywhere. Is he going to go all out all the time? I think the answer is. Yes, I it can't. That's what I'm saying. Because he's like I can never relax and be me knowing that I will be a Laker for as long as they want me to be converse. All great guys, all positively over there. Let me let me give you Steve flipside of the coin side how without being able to trade. Brandon Ingram outta we get Anthony Davis. The fact is we won't we will not get Anthony Davis. Now, we can cross him off the list of. Of next. Harder. Right. So I'm looking around. I'm seeing Katie not coming. I'm seeing kyri people some people think Kyrie maybe as a possibility. I'd I'd be I'd be shot. That's the they get along. Now, they're friends. He and LeBron 'cause they haven't been together a couple of tweets and Feddie wa not fix everything you're married. I it's like an old relationship, you know, once you're separated, and you're like, you know, what I'm going along with this person now by text act together. And you remember. I I I am not a fan of getting the band back together almost ever. It's like a rebound. Yeah. Rebound relationships are speaking of kyri, and this is gonna say makeup sex thinking. Did you hear what he said over the weekend? He's like, you know, what I'm gonna ease back out of social media for while. I'm taking a break alot. These guys are so they look at their mentions. I mean, they're looking at mentions in comments on the YouTube channel, do you know what I mean? That's silly that something else. And so he's like I'm going to take a step back. The good move concentrate. This is what I'm silver was talking about with Bill Simmons. It's like these. There's so many of these guys just are seem very unhappy. The fame despite the wealth, spite all these other things, and that's part of it. It's like why in the we we have this conversation about Katie all the time. Why are you concerned? What right egg says Twitter. What's funny is Bill Simmons? So you mentioned he told me that the way he lines up his tweet deck and his Twitter is he he puts information out. But he does not respond to any of his mentions. He's like I don't need the mentions. I'm a content creator. I don't need a bunch of criticism coming my way. I don't need to see it, which I think is smart. Also, the guy's got how many followers he doesn't need us mere mortals. It helps fans like it. When you comment spawned and your fan friendly to argue he's up on a pedestal to argue with eggs. Yeah. I it just it's picking out which is the hard boiled in the soft. Boy, exactly, exactly. You know? So. Yeah. All right coming up next and. Jio Brown is now an Oakland raider picked I told you Greg Bergman Gators fan. I I wanted him. Do not doubt Jon Gruden. I knew Jon Gruden knows what he's doing. We'll get into that. Next and good for Tonio, brownie played this perfectly Mason in Ireland, Linda Cohn is here. Brian cabinet ski Siri SPN ally. Mason and Ireland Linda Cohn is here. Brian cabinet ski here. And here is a piece of good news. Clayton kershaw. Threw a bullpen session today. And he threw well Clayton Kershaw says felt great. It was another good day. And I'll take that right now. Just keep moving forward and start building Bill Plunkett says dodgers pitching coach Rick Honeycutt says Kershaw throwing a clean eighty percent in his bullpen session today. "Stop is an Auburn Alabama. We talked to Tom who wants to weigh in on Mr. big chess on CBS sports radio. Tom what's going on? Tom. What stinks all that time on hold? And you're not there. So I hope you have a safe Dr Tom, Michael and taxes. Michael go ahead. Thanks for having me Zack. Major forty minutes away. I appreciate it. Thank you for listening to us. We appreciate your patience. Absolutely, man. My point being from Dallas, Texas. I love of course, the Cowboys fan a comparison to make between a talent wise. Attitude wise changed once they became nationally recognized as high does he clearly AB is better than Brian Etta was but does Bryant stopped going up in finishing plays. Once he became national recognized as a great receiver you stop fishing plays and start looking for flags started having an attitude on the sidelines and started becoming a cancer in the locker room. I feel like ABC's done the same. And he lost a lot of his value. When he did that. That's why does up not getting paid not getting a contract until we got signed by New Orleans. Yeah. The comparison I make to Antonio Brown and does is in an awful one. But I think the more fair comparison is Carol Owens. That is good. That is a good comparison very much. So because if you look back at it the numbers for Teo or unbelievable the numbers for in Tonio, Brown were unbelievable. And they were longer than Dez Bryant for me. And also, I get it does had a bunch of issues, and they had hire people to make sure to basically babysitting them, however with Tarallo ins, he he did the moment in the driveway where he was doing the setups ABC does the elliptical where he swatting Saint call me mister big chess. I more te'o. And I liked a lot. I love peo- was a big fan. But I think te'o is more comparable to AB not awful with Dez Bryant. Tonio Brown was for for abo was just as big as ABC's and does just needs to stop running his mouth on social media. Yeah. Yeah. The social media stuff is fair. Yeah. No doubt about that. How ever for what people consider was a down year for Tonio brownie still put up twelve thousand twelve hundred ninety seven yards and fifteen touchdowns. And let's be real Big Ben wasn't the same quarterback as as years pass. And Ben had some some bad picks last year. I get his yards were unbelievable. But even two years ago where? Aby over fifteen hundred yards benefits of bad games. It was awful. In that the first game against Jacksonville. So here's the thing with AB. His numbers are still going to be good. I don't know if they'll be as great. Though. And they probably won't be as great with Derek Carr because sauce to show me. And I still don't know of car is a franchise quarterback and time will tell on that Mike in Pittsburgh, Mike, go ahead. Hey, thanks for taking my call. So I agree with you that there's been a lot of blame to go around at everyone deserves something. But this is always been benched teams and evidence of that was this week. Why they did is two best friends teams deal. I don't see at foster they redid that. But this team really fell apart last year when they overlooked Jacksonville. No question. The patriots before they even got the Jacksonville and that and that's a reflection on the coach because the coach right? He encouraged that from from the middle of the season, and you know, even after later on after that that tough loss to the patriots with the whole controversy with the tight end that was a lot of the coach encouraging that talk you would never see Bella Jack talked about a potential match up in the future. He would just talk about the opponent for for the for the next week. And that's on the coach the coach did an awful job in in that regards and a loss of job. They never recovered. But what's going to be interesting is this year when Derek Carr, MRs or read or a MRs Antonio wide open? Is how is he gonna react 'cause everything's all lovey-dovey now. But when if ever there. To intend or they're three and seven Antonio ain't getting this passes. Then you're going to see the real Antonio. And that's the thing because ABC could say he doesn't have to play the game anymore. He could say it's not about the money, which is is a bunch of nonsense because a lot of this was about the money as well. He he. He he got everything is way. He got a new team. He got more guaranteed money. And hey, you can have all the things look like, you're happy and great, this guy, still competitor. This guy still has even though his work ethic was called into question this past year by me because of the fact that he wasn't showing up. This is still someone though that putting a lot of diligent work to go from six round draft pick to the best wide receiver in football and he wants to win. And and that's the only thing he doesn't have on the resume is Lombardi trophy. And hey, you gotta be careful what you wish for because you're a lot closer to win with Pittsburgh, then you are with the raiders and when car plays poorly and when the raiders maybe go two and four or two and six to start off the season is in Tonio Brown. It'd be happy. If this number start to debt we shall see on that front. Let me take one more. Is this bond is that he said I bond in Atlanta next up on. CBS sports radio Bondo head. The deal, man. A lot of people don't realize is that. Europcar head off into the coordinators in five years. Every that in two thousand sixteen not that easy just office coordinator. And just be that same quarterback that you happened a year prior second year. See what it does with a few other pieces, and it'll be alright. Yeah. And that's the thing we got to see what type of quarterback he's going to be. And that's why I agree with match denied that he'll be here for this upcoming season. However, he has to prove it this year. And you can make excuses all you want. Hey, this is a grown man's league. There's changes all the time. Look at team. That's the most successful since two thousand and one they've had different offensive coordinators. You know in years past they had Charlie weis, then they had Bill Bryant, then they had Bill Brian. They had Josh mcdaniels. They've changed. They've had changes. They've had receivers change. They've had offensive lineman change newsflash in the National Football League. You have changed especially when you're successful. I need to see the consistency though from Derek Carr. And if he plays consistent football, if he puts backed up the numbers like he was in two thousand fifteen two thousand sixteen him, and then Tonio Browner gonna have a lot of success. However vacillates from good quarterback bad quarterback. Very good quarterback. Okay quarterback. And he's all over the place. Then you're not going to get the production that you should be getting out of Antonio Brown. Just having a bi-. He's going to put up some numbers you want to get the most out of reach the apex with them. You have to have great quarterback play and all fence line has to play better. All right. When we come back NBA fans, I promise you will get to a few things. We'll chat a little bit about Mr. Dolan, who is an absolute fool. But the New York Knicks. We'll talk a little bit about the Lakers situation and also squeezing some college hoops in this hour as well. It says yelp show on CBS sports radio. Are.

"They don't like a whole lot of circus atmosphere surrounding there were innovation. Typically, I know it's hard to believe considering what's going on over the past year. But I think this is definitely a situation. And we've talked about it a number of different times where they truly believed. This may be addition by subtraction. That's Louis Rennick in this was first and last I'm gave Nitra land on ESPN radio in. They're going to end up getting a compensatory pick when he leaves in free agency more than likely with what he will end up getting paid and the amount he's going to play. He's probably going to be a great player wherever he ends up. They'll get the highest level of compensation for him likely third round pick. Now other things factor in in terms of who the Steelers signed, but he is going to net. The Steelers a fairly decent pick and terms of compensatory. And of course, that's going to be addition by subtraction. Because he didn't bring them anything last year, but headaches, and if he's no longer with the. Organization they decide to walk away from him. But that's not the only situation. It's no longer Levy on bell in an isolated incident. As in Tony prone continues to be frustrated with everything that's going on with the Pittsburgh Steelers. And he's calling Ben Rothlisberger bed. Roth Asperger's calling out him AB ends up meeting with ownership. They both decide ultimately that they want to move on and Jeremy Fowler over at ESPN dot com. Has a nice piece talking about Kevin Colbert, the general manager of the Steelers, and he just throws all of his weight behind. Ben Rothlisberger calling Rothlisberger. The unquestioned leader of the locker room calling him an elder statesman and a Super Bowl winner. If our players are smarts. They listen to him because he's been there. This is the one that if I'm a Steelers player that I don't know the rest. Okay. He's supporting the quarterback. But this is the quote that if I'm. Again, if I'm a member of the Steelers, this is just not going to sit. Well with me. I honestly believe that can be a burden on him more often than he'd like to mitt because he's got fifty two kids under him, quite honestly, that's from the general manager of the Pittsburgh Steelers. First of all if you believe that that's your fault because you're the one who built this roster and put everything together. But when you take a look at the Steelers and what they have on their team. It's not as if Brian roughest Burger's been a tremendous player. He led the league in interceptions last season. And they've got other guys that have been pretty good. If you're Ella Hendra Villanueva who's gone to a couple of pro bowls. Now, you're thirty years old going, wait. I'm a kid. That's that's one that. If I am the Steelers if I'm a member of the Steelers that just doesn't sit well with me. So now, you have an Tonio brownies looking to potentially go elsewhere. And where could he potentially go a couple of teams could be a fit but field Yates yesterday on Golic and wingo thought that the Green Bay Packers? Aaron Rodgers could be a really good fit French oneal Brown. I think the Packers check a lot of the reasonable boxes because it would accomplished Pittsburgh's goal of not trading him to an AFC team bread or an AFC north team specifically, but also any ended AFC team. That's any good Kansas City. New England, Los Angeles cross them off the list. It also is a team. That's well run for my capstone point Aaron Rodgers. I don't think I don't think you want to see another year of the palpable frustration that we censor Marilyn Rogers, which was in part what's obvious who's because they were. Not winning. But it felt like, hey, like, I'm doing all my own in a lot of ways..

"Edition of drivetime sports, Ryan wheels with you. We got crunch time coming up at the bottom of the hour in the next segment. We will talk about the players to watch at rocky spring training. Now that pitchers catchers have fully reported for duty, sir. Trevor story. I don't know. How is he? Well, yeah. The injury last year. True. And they're saying. He's still. Yeah. Maybe he's one of the players to watch. Tuned into watch him sitting in the dugout the whole time sitting in the clubhouse locating two eight six zero zero four six if you want to get all interactive on this Tuesday afternoon. Congratulations to Brian. He is the winner of our family four pack of tickets to see air force take on Caen shes. The winning will not stop today. Can't stop one stop. I have tickets to go see air force basketball and take on Utah state. I will give those away in our number three. And then are narrow down the window for those of you who stick around so incentive. Dice eight two eight six zero four six I did. And I'll say it again, you can never say the contact number enough. Exactly. I was about to say that radio one. Oh one. So Antonio Brown is an interesting, dude. Maybe understatement, right. Antonio Brown today posted his own tribute video which the thought of Antonio Brown's sitting in front of his MAC on movie and putting that thing. Is great. I sincerely hope that he put it together himself. Right. We were gonna play it. But it's just music with you know, highlight. So this song is what was the song? Like I do. I'm going to do what I want or whatever. It's something about doing. What I want is the song. Of course, as you could tell him not hip to what the kids are listening to these days. But that's the point of it. And he's like. It's been real Steelers fans. And people are just like. Did the Steelers release Antonio Brown? No. Did they trade him? Now. Did not. But Antonio Brown is calling his shot. Thank you Steeler nation for a big nine years time to move on. And forward peace emoji. Hashtag new demands. Okay. I guess Antonio Brown is not coming back. But the problem is that unless the Pittsburgh Steelers find a trade partner, he carries I believe twenty two million dollars in dead cap. It is a sizable amount of money to just take roll up and eat if you're the Pittsburgh Steelers as much as this guy is a pain in the you know, what? You cannot just release him. You can't it's like, I know that he's been a pain. And I know he's a prima Donna, and I know that he's a headache and everything like that. But twenty one million excuse me dead cap space, so that it costs. What would you do pay twenty one million dollars to not have him on your team or twenty two million dollars to have him on your team? Disgruntled and all so the obvious. Recourse here for the Pittsburgh Steelers is to trade him or to keep him releasing him and letting him hit the open market is just not going to happen. So option one. At this point is certainly to trade him. If you're the Pittsburgh Steelers juju Smith Schuster is legit number one wide receiver not better than Antonio Brown. But illegit number one wide receiver. Were you're running back situation is a little murky as we all well know. Bye. You can trade Antonio Brown for some assets. And and be close to as well off as you were with him. Given the headache that he caused you even though to be fair to Antonio Brown. I feel like he and Ben Rothlisberger are both selfish, jerks and bad teammates. And so it's I don't know if it's fifty fifty sixty forty Antonio Brown, sixty forty Ben Rothlisberger. But they both seem complicit in all of this. So trades. Since we are located in Colorado. I do not give one red cent. One care to whether Antonio Brown will end up with the New York Jets don't care. My only question is. Should the Denver Broncos pursue him? Kind of like the Cuyler Murray question we asked yesterday. It was all kind of like would the Broncos have interest. If he were to be and now Antonio Brown's calling his own shot. So let's take a man at his word and say that one way or another he's out of Pittsburgh. If you're the Denver Broncos, how interested are you? And my answer would would be if I'm the Denver Broncos. My interest level is zero. I do not want this guy on my football team. For a variety of reasons gay. Number one reason. I am entering a very important season four my quarterback a quarterback that was not good last year. And while Antonio Brown would give him his best target. I mean, anti say what you will balance Tonio brownies better than Stefan digs. He's better than Adam theline. He's better than Emmanuel Sanders, barreling, Cornyn and Sutton. But yet if anything goes wrong. And he doesn't get the ball. What is he going to do? If he does this. What he does to Ben Rothlisberger? Who is a hall of fame quarterback? What is he going to do when case keenum doesn't give him the football? I just don't if I'm the Broncos. I don't need that headache. Dan, you add onto it. He makes twenty two million dollars. That is a lot of money, especially when I was somebody who said don't pay to Marius Thomas. When he and Dez Bryant were making their run for the money. I said do not pay to marry his Thomas this amount of money. You will regret it. Because wide receivers just are not worth that much money. And I'm not gonna change my tune even for arguably the best wide receiver in football. I'm not the Broncos have an opportunity here to spend a significant amount of money. If the Broncos wanted to be the Rams, they could the Rams of last offseason. They could go out, and they could absorb a contract of a guy. They could go out and sign somebody a couple of dudes like Donald consumer will one year deal or whatever they they could do that they have the flexibility to accomplish that goal. But do you already want to start that by eating twenty two million dollars? I don't think that you. That's an attractive proposition. Because. Say what you will about Emmanuel Sanders in his behavior at times. Are you upset with the manual Sanders is production? I don't think I am are you wills. Are you upset with Emmanuel Sanders? Production to the point that you would want to trade him. No. I'm not I'm not. Yeah. I'm not either. And what? And also what happened to the court is going to be really good stuff because if you bring in so option a for the Denver Broncos is you trade Emmanuel Sanders for Antonio Brown. And then obviously, maybe some other pieces or whatever. Pick to entice the Steelers. I don't know. But basically you have to exchange Antonio Brown four manual Sanders. I don't think you carry both of them on the team. And then if if you let's say you do do that. Let's say the Steelers don't want Emmanuel Sanders. They're not interested in acquiring a wide receiver. They want. Whatever just a draft pick, whatever you're willing to eat the contract. The Steelers only want back a draft pick that is going to stunt the growth of Cortlandt Sutton. So that's another reason that I don't. I don't do this. If I'm the Denver Broncos. It just doesn't make any sense for a team like the San Francisco forty Niners. This makes so much sense. In fact, they are the betting favourite in Vegas to land Antonio Brown. Makes all the sense in the world. This team made a big run made a big move by acquiring Jimmy Garoppolo. They then signed him to a massive contract. And you look and even though he got hurt. You still looked at that team and said. Who's Jimmy Garoppolo throwing to any showed some promise? The the games. They played for the the forty Niners little few too many interceptions. But still showed off quite a bit talent. I like George lot George Kittle certainly show Broncos fans and the Denver Broncos. How good he is. But if I'm the forty Niners, and I have thoughts of you know, what? We got to take on the ramp guy. Take the Rams on head on. Which in the wild. I would not suggest taking on a ram head on. It's kind of their thing. They're good at that. Don't do that. But if you're the forty Niners you look at Jared.

"Well, I mean, he made that perfectly clear on social media or that he just wants to be a way for the Pittsburgh Steelers. But maybe the apple the wants to be the forty Niners you couple that with the statements from when art Rooney the second couple of weeks ago where he doesn't envision Antonio Brown. Being part of the Steelers thousand nineteen looks like all sides are pointed to AB being traded at some point this off season. And maybe the ends up beating San Francisco tax seems like ways wanted to go. I mean, you know, you know, the tweeting back four the titan kindle over there. He actually AB Antonio Brown. He changed his a bio used to mention offer a wide receiver, Pittsburgh steals. It just says all pro wide receiver a hashtag ABA before it. No more mention of the Pittsburgh Steelers for those that don't know in Antonio Brown's Twitter bio, which someone. I think that if you're not involved social media guy who has Twitter Schmidt. But this actually is a big deal in this day and age I mean, because that's people what they represent that representation that would have bio I mean, it doesn't suck. But if he had that it said Pittsburgh seals and now he took it off. And he ended it and even follow the Steelers as kind of a big time multiple red flags along with Jerry Rice said so yeah, we've talked about this this this. He will not be steel next year. Looks like that all all sides are it's a very emotional situation. We're at the early stages of it along were a little bit of ways away until the the start of the NFL off season TASR and the the start of the NFL new NFL calendar year. So maybe cooler heads, prevail talent is talent. But right now all signs point to Brown getting dealt and they should be able to get something back. In regard, some speculate. Maybe a first some have speculated maybe multiple picks with a high point being a second round, selection and another pick brand Tonio brownie is thirty years of age. You can help your team a lot of different ways the concern you'd have is. He wasn't a happy camper in Pittsburgh. Well. Would lead you to believe if all the sudden, right? Know another receiver player on offense gets more active than he does is he gonna pull the same temper tantrum and sensitivity that he showed a Pittsburgh. Right. Well, do you have to be in a place that he could end up, and it would be of just a what a show would be. If he went to the jets adjust the number three overall pick make a deal out that well, no, I'm just saying anything after Catholics. They got the money. But could you imagine that I wouldn't want that as a jet fan? I mean, that's great as Antonio Brown's because I just think that could be a problem. Sam Donald young quarterback was still trying to hone his craft. You got crazy gaze is in there. You got him there. You know, you got it just would be it'd be a tremendous for the guys next door WFAN. Yeah. I wouldn't want Antonio bribe one lady, I'm bell more. So than. They have they've got a lot of money to spend this off season. It'll be interesting to see. But maybe rice ends up being a little bit of a fortune teller. And he does end up in San Francisco with the forty Niners..

"Just pass the baton to me. Wait is that a swimming metaphor sure, they have swimming relays? You guys are definitely going to want to stick around because we are talking kaN trends, what our callers asking for this is the mortgage radio show. I'm Teresa Strasser. I'm joined by mortgage expert, Shawn matter, and we have been talking we sort of been talking trends, I'll show, but I want to be more specific about it. Let's talk about January twenty nineteen what are people asking for when they call eight hundred seven hundred eight zero six eight and words, the my favorite NFL player in Tonio, brownie said business is booming and that can be said over a network capital. Because seems like right now there's a refinance boom people really making sure that they get a benefit in achieve goals today. They're not kind of waiting on the sidelines and letting everybody else kind of dabble. Win. And then when they find out everyone else save money, then they're saying, yes, they're going all chips in this direction because rates are low caches easy to get. So here's some of the trans. Here's what people were dawn, they pick up the phones and the Dow eight hundred seven hundred eight zero six eight the month of January if I could say one thing that seems to be Bilman is elimination of private mortgage insurance something that a lot of our customers found out is they were always told you had to have eighty percent LTV or yet to oh. Seventy eight percent of the value of your home to get rid of the PM. I normally that was true. But now you can actually more than eighty percent and get rid of the PM there's programs that network capital by this out that seems to be hidden aggressively. People were doing a lot of cash out to purchase a flip seems to be quite popular over the last couple of months because I think a lot has to do with the free education. They're getting from some of these TV shows. I'm also a lot of customers are getting rid of the home equity line of credit. So when the government the fed raise rates a couple of months back. The things that were the most susceptible to that was home equity lines of credit adjustable rate mortgages credit card interest rates, not really fixed mortgage. I so people getting rid of the line of credit before it recasts before it adjusts. Another thing is people got rid of the fallacy of the one percent. The used to think had the drop your rate by one percent. But that was when balances or fifty grand and rates Raper said, you better believe you needed the drop at a percent back then. But now there's new conventional thinking if the if the savings outweighs the cost and the effort, it's a good by much better strategy. Now the month of January's been all about the large loan amounts and seems all the self employed people all the million dollar customers. Everybody is joining in on the new let's say the loan limits that changed around the country a lot of jumbo mortgages million that we call them the millions or calling in because they see value in the rates, the bigger your balance, the more you can save by just a little bit of a rate reduction a lot of families are switching from arm to fix. But we just came off the holidays. So the main thing is people are cashing out to pay off credit cards car note, student loans collections. A ton of phone calls about home improvement. So people were so skilled on knowing what to do with the cash once they get it. They just need to find out who's the fastest horse in the game to get them to the finish line of the money. Or let's say that, you know, the the the cash at the end of the rainbow so network capital standing by. They know the times they don't wanna push you guys because we don't know you. But if we were related to you guys, we would talk to you much differently. Like, I wouldn't let you off the phone unless you did this deal because we don't know where the rates are going to be tomorrow. Let alone weeks months down the road. But we do know right now, they're at rock-bottom numbers are the lowest in almost a year. All you have to do is call the number eight hundred seven hundred eight zero six eight can anyone and everyone listening right now. Call in for a complimentary rate, quote, I say why not let's all get in on the party. Let's all join the winning team. If you like working with people that are the best I believe in my heart network capital. Is that team? You know, when they have all these accolades that they have that we're going to discuss here shortly. I think you're in good hands because they have such aggressively low interest rates they have amongst the fastest turn times in the business. And I think a lot of people aren't really understanding how important it is to not be charged lender fees. So let's focus on the lender fees for a couple of seconds when I talked lender fees. I'm talking let's say origination. That's the biggest one usually that's the one that most people don't like it the competition. They don't like admin fees. What is that like, they're also charging processing fees and underwriting fees? Nowhere capital is is they're all in house like the all work together as one officiant Suad, the push clean in clean out. So you're not getting hit for those fees. A lot of companies charge. You a credit report fee front some charge? You a rate locked fee up front like.

"They have a hard time seeing Antonio Brown being with the team when camp opens up in in July. The businesses out there in the street. Everyone knows that Antonio Brown is not going to be a Steeler does that hurt the Steelers in terms of getting. Fair market value for him. Now, it helps them because now the houses for sale everybody can try to buy it. See I think if if you were doing the the weird dance of you know, he might come back. You might this might that. And he's so good that low balling the Steelers would be just so I think what Rooney did was just put him on the stroll today. Like, okay, you want Antonio Brown. We're not going to waive him. Remember to the Steelers like the Levy on bell thing is still there like something like they're they get hardcore with guys about something. I don't even pretend to know what Antonio Brown is mad at I don't well. He seems to be mad at Ben Rothlisberger. And that that can be it's a pretty big, pardon the pun entity within that organization. But it also seems and this is where it gets deeper and more murky, it seems that he has issues with Mike Tomlin. But I think just as an observer of Steelers football, not a fan, it seems it might Tomlin has had an issue with Antonio Brown because he is a guy that Uber. He was, you know, Facebook live or Instagram live in the locker room, you know, kind of mugging for the camera doing during by Tomlin speech. I think Mike Tomlin was in the process of talking real spicy about the patriots. So. Tonio brownies. Very good receiver seems to and again, this is just my opinion as an observer seems to bring along things into that Steeler dynamic that makes Mike Tomlin crazy who who already has a difficult enough job as it is without having to deal with kind of some answer Larry issues that unfortunately, one of your best player seems to be bringing to the situation. So I just. This is another NFL note that I was thinking about today. So Vic Fangio in Chicago that his players called him an evil genius. Okay. The just the way he would scheme up the destruction of other as a defensive coordinator that is a that is a sign of affection. But do you know when you just got a new contract just became a new head coach? And you're feeling all your your stuff. Von Miller can be a better player. Like, that's an interesting thing to say publicly, you could say it to von privately, but they want to you new head coaching tenure. I want to let. Fatherland with yourself. Between you involve. Miller's done some stuff. Dudes an underachiever. He could be a better player like like. Whoa. Against the run. Hey. Like, you know, like, I know what he was trying to say, and, you know, excited to work with them because you know, I think he can be so great. But. You know von Miller can be one of the rare players in this league, much like Khalil. I'm looking forward to working with them. Like, okay, man. Here's the thing in professional sports nowadays. Especially in today's NFL. If this is what Vic Fangio was trying to do trying to motivate guys in that way. Now that dog ain't Hon now, that's that. That's one of the guys. Well, tune that out quickly. Yeah. This is this is one of those where you you take him aside and go man, I'm a defensive dude. While the reason I was so excited about this position. Is you and I know they used to you this way, and this way, but you know, I think we could even expand your game. You know, like get the Bienne from the guy don't, you know, because now von Miller have twenty people go man, you coach you could play by God his Twitter account his is blowing up with that. That's absolutely blown up with. But you know, what though that's they don't teach you how to be a head coach. You know what I mean? And and what you have to do as a head coach you have to say. A whole lot of nothing. And he said a little bit of something that quite frankly is innocuous, whether it's right, whether it's wrong, he didn't say anything that truly problematic. But that is something that's going to be picked up on. Now, you have to deal with it. And that's one more thing as a coach you've got a you've got a handle when you're already dealing with a difficult enough. John also to the let's just be honest old people have no filter. Wow. Okay. Fangio is is sixteen big Fangio's. Like, I've been an assistant for thirty three years. I'm sixty years old. I'm going to say, whatever the hell I want. Listen, I do believe that's what affliction Tom Coughlin has. I do believe that Tom Coughlin that only has a massive amount of old man's strength. Right. But he also has that. Oh, man. I can say anything I want which is why he went bananas about. Leonard for nets and another Jaguars player that Coughlin didn't feel have the same had the right sideline to meter. When the the Jaguars were finishing out the season that was just Tom coffin. One hundred percent being an angry old, dude. I'll give that to top Coughlin. You say that Vic Fangio has got a case of that too. Just say in Vic Fangio Clint Eastwood L these people. As you get older Clint Eastwood one hundred eighty eight there's two things you get to round up one. Would you get old? You get to say whatever you want. Okay. People just you're done. And then the other one is you can just wear whatever you want as everybody has been to dinner where you see your senior citizens and guys got like the blazer with the pants and shirt and like nuts. Nuts work. But he's like man, I'm seventy eight I'm doing whatever the hell. I want. I'm eating dinner at four thirty in the afternoon. Leave me be. I get a sense that you are looking forward to that part of life. Yeah. I'm gonna I'm gonna claim it quicker. You're already saying anything that's on your buy that, sir. You've been doing that for twenty five years, but you're looking forward to being able to wear any damn thing you want we have we we have a couple of things that eight away. Kmby? Are that one is intriguing? First of all someone says, you know, he's thirty years old. That's not helping matters when a Super Bowl don't get. Look the Niners need to make the playoffs next year. They need to make the playoffs. They they need to take that step be the eagles be nine and seven being what they need to take that step. They should have been a seven win team this year. They weren't they need to take the step next year. But here's an interesting one. Would you trade the number two pick for the twentieth? Pick and Antonio Brown. Yes. I would too. Yes. Yeah. That came from Texas. I thought about that that long. No, no, no. But I think the audience built while you were dramatically pause. Four away text of that in. I think it's very creative. I think the to pick is very exciting very eye candy ish and all that kind of good stuff there. Nine defensive lineman in the strapped the twentieth pick. I'm still getting a super solid player. But I'm also getting Antonio Brown. I didn't give up a future number one. I've moved you know, eighteen if I'm the Niners. I'm trying to I'm trying to move back. Anyway, get somebody with absolutely you get somebody with that picks that can help you get in some some pressure on the pass or somebody who can help you out in yourself. And Antonio Brown. You know, who the guy I want the Niners to get talked him, greedy Williams. Yeah. You get. I think a defense gets a lot better. When I know for ten years, I can put this guy a corner, really Williams back. They're getting some getting some learn enough from Richard Sherman. That's what I'm talking about. Yeah. Yeah. Is that I'm on that that everyone pass rush pass? But he's not going to be there at twenty. No, he's not he's not. But it doesn't mean. I can't take the twentieth and a future something and track. I'm gonna target that hint that all those are gone before him. Okay. And then Haskins a quarterback who you don't need. He's going like I've been into the mock draft rod. You know, it's like I've scouted Quinton Williams already. I'm looking at both album is Bob is that you're getting his mock draft. You don't know if it's got fit all in. And now, I'm just saying you're putting yourself at risk. I'm looking for straight uncut mock draft, but greedy Williams, just like Derwin, James. There are certain secondary players. They just make your whole defense way better way better. And if yes, they need a pass rush. I wanna pay for that. I wanna go get Ziggy Ansah I want to get a guy who's done it. I I want to get a guy to help Armstead and Solomon Thomasson Buckner and all those guys like I want my Richard Sherman pass rusher. So gimme that guy on the D line. But I need it. I need a corner that I just know for ten years guys are not tricking around with that side of the field because he will Richard Sherman. We watch all the Niners. Did he make a lot of great pass breakups this year? Some they never threw him. He had developed the rapport that now they're just always going the other way, I think there was a bit of reputation not throwing it Richard Sherman. But also, it was a lot easier to throw to anyone on the other side. Defense then Richard Sherman ingredient Williams is one of those corners where you just watch him. Go man that guy is going to be good from longtime. He really if if Kyle fuller for the bears is a Pro Bowl corner. And it's four years in ain't gonna take greedy Williams for years that that kid, and he did it against high level competition. He did it in the bright spotlight. He's physical. And he also has you know, people don't like this with wide receivers. He got an attitude like, okay? I'll gimme whoever you want to run out me. I'm gonna compete. You might be be sometimes. But I'm always coming back on the next play the next play the next play. Jalen, Ramsey attitude. Yeah. I just I like him. I like him a lot in today's football. You gotta have corners. You gotta have secondary guys. And this draft literally the first six guys are all D lineman. You're sitting here too. I want to move back to where's that I d be going to be an. If I'm the Niners that's position in that. We're going to transition into the warriors fit.

He has a responsibility as a media person to bring out different situation scenario stories and things like that. And he's basically just telling his version of the truth. And if Antonio Brown doesn't like it, that's one thing. But to call a gun uncle, Tom is just flat out disrespectful. It's a racial slur is and to me I mean for the lack of people calling out Antonio Brown for using a racial slur against Ryan Clark. And for what as you said for expressing his opinion. Which by the way is one hundred percent, correct. To me is as disrespectful as can be. And I'm ashamed that people having called out any Tonio brownies kinda got in the past for that and Terrell prior with like the laughing emoji come on. I mean, really that's what it comes down to you know, Antonio Brown to me is about himself last season with the live tweeting the Mike Tomlin locker room member that the locker room speech, live, Facebook or something. Yes. Yes. I mean, it's to the point. But you made a great point a little bit ago. Rodney when you talked about Mike Tomlin and kinda. Enabling things like this. Listen to Mike Tomlin on Wednesday at his press conference addressing the situation. And tell me what you find wrong with Mike Tomlin in this. Let's play hardy. There's disappointment. There's no denying that or a personal level, man. I've just learned over the course of time that man forget my personal feelings about things or or the challenges that come with the position. I don't spend a lot of time focused on that. I better not a better focus on issues, and the people that I serve as leader. See to me. He didn't say anything. He said a bunch of fancy jargon a bunch of fancy stuff. But he he really didn't say nothing. I felt like this was an opportunity for Mike Tomlin to really put his stamp on this team. And to let everybody know who exactly the leader is. And this is an opportunity for him to stand up and say, look, I'm very disappointed in a Tokyo Brown. You know, when you pay a guy this type of amount of money, you expect that got to be a leader, you expect that got to fall in line, you expect that guy to be just like everyone else in that locker room and not putting himself above anyone else or expect preferential treatment. This was an opportunity for Mike Tomlin to really set the stage. And if I'm again room, I'm looking at Mike Tomlin and his handling of this situation. And all I'm doing shaking my head. I'm so disappointed in him because he's making it more about Antonio Brown. Now, you you you you can't put your personal feelings aside you have to take into consideration. How you feel personally about not only the player but the team. You have to do what's best in the best interest of the team. And I'll tell you this. He lost a lot of respect in that locker room. He's lost a lot of respect in that locker room. Because all the players know exactly what's going on for Mike Tomlin to kind of hide and to kinda fancy word his way around the situation is very disappointed to me. And that's not the type of leader. I think Mike Tomlin is safety blitz. Rodney Harrison, Dan, Schwartzman, NBC sports radio. It's also disappointing. The way that the Steelers handle the fact that Antonio Brown did not play on Sunday. I off talking about some phantom knee injury. And then we start to find out the details in the media Rodney that there was some sort of an altercation last Wednesday during practice that may have involved Ben Rothlisberger. Then Antonio Brown. Just flat out does not show up for work on Saturday leading to him being benched on Sunday. I hate when the team when a guy has done everything wrong is still going to make excuses for him that plays into that whole diva thing where you do something wrong. And guess what you're not going to be held accountable publicly. Before that bothered me the way that the Steelers tried to cover frame Tonio Brown making up injuries and things like that. He quit. He flat out quit on his team. Dan. I what else how else can you said he flat out quit on his team. Your team still has an opportunity to make the playoffs. If the Cleveland Browns beat the Baltimore Ravens. You're in the playoffs. If you win that game. And you won that game. You still had a chance to make the playoffs. How could you as a coach except that from a player? How can you accept that from a player and to me this goes far beyond just you know, Antonio Brown? This is this is something that Mike Tomlin has a history of doing, you know, and I've heard from one of the key members of the Pittsburgh Steelers organization how he would always favor Ben Rothlisberger. And Ben Rothlisberger could do whatever he wanted to do. And there was no accountability there. It's starting to catch up because as you get older your production goes down a little bit and people start catching up and other teams become better. Now, you're starting to get exposed now all those weaknesses. Within your locker room are now being exposed. We the bell situation. Antonio Brown, always dealing with Ben Rothlisberger. Like who are these guys to come out and constantly able to criticize is just too many distractions going on I said this last week or two weeks ago on football night in America? I just said Mike Tomlin has to do a better jobs of eliminating distractions in that locker room because now they're to the point. This is not the old Pittsburgh Steelers defense with dick lebeau. They don't have a good enough defense to overcome or to overcompensate for for the for their lack of maturity and their mistakes and things like that. It comes down to Mike Tomlin. I just truly believe if Mike Tomlin does not turn this situation around in his locker room is going to continue to affect their on field play. And I think eventually my Tom is going to be out of there. You know, Rodney you played with a guy that was considered the ultimate diva wide receiver one of the guys. Randy moss. Right. And he comes to the patriots with a reputation, right? And there wasn't a good reputation. He had. I quit the previous two years playing for the raiders, absolutely. Just dogged in. Okay. What was it in the patriots locker room that settled him down? Because Mike Tomlin has Craig. He's got a Super Bowl ring is one of the top coaches in this league, there should be leadership on this team with the likes of a rothlisburger. What is it about look and divas can always be divas? But they may put that aside for a moment here and there how are the patriots? You guys able to have Randy moss and win eighteen straight games that year with Randy boss, not really acting like a diva that apparently the Steelers can't do when it comes to Antonio Brown and control that when Randy moss came to us. Randy moss had known. I mean, he basically knew that. This was his last opportunity to play in the National Football League. He's gone to a great quarterback a great organization a team that had already won a bunch of championships. So he had no room and no era had really no room for error. And I felt like Randy moss was a terrific teammate. All that stuff that everybody had talked about previously. I saw really none of that. Randy was a guy that worked out in the weight room. He's always taking care of his body on eating healthy. You saw him engage with not only the players in the locker room, Mr. craft and Bella check, and he was always laughing and being positive. He cussed a lot in a lot. Other than that. I thought Randy Randy moss was a fantastic teammate and anything that was previously said about him. I I didn't see any of that, Dan. I think it's the atmosphere. You know, I think when you come to an atmosphere a winning team, you kind of put that aside. I think that was the evidence of that with Antonio Brown when things don't go. Well, and things don't go his way you see how he acts. I want to keep this going Rodney because the big question is this. Okay. If you get rid of them would you want him? I think that's the big question. If you're another team and you look at the talent of Antonio Brown..

"We may see more of the early cower years as opposed to what we become accustomed to seeing and build real quick suffering build with the quarterback and going into your. Fifteen a quarterback that is not one of these cheap young quarterbacks where you can add a talent. And we're if you do movie and Tonio Brown, no cap really from it. But you're in you're in a rough spot. And I listen Tomlin's going to catch a lot of strays on this one understandably, but the guy through the football at is a culture center why because he didn't play him. Well, don't run a row. Well, known she's asking why Tomlin's gonna catch. No, I think people understand him not playing. I think people are going to blame Tomlin that that situation could get to this point. Now, I don't know how you control a grown, man. I don't know how even Tonio brownie Donlan again a couple years ago when he was asked Tonio in zone celebrations and the penalties. I don't know what you want me to do. Like, what do you want me to do other than not play the guy, and I'm obviously going to play the guy, but culture is set typically by two people in an organization if you're fortunate enough to have two of these people in the organization and established head coach they have that and a whole. All of fame quarterback. They have that big bins never been held accountable. And that predates Tomlin that predates Tomlin coming there. Whether it was the weather was the motorcycle while it was the horrifying allegations at the bar a couple of those whatever whether it was continually throwing teammates on the bus, right and code in coaches onto the bus. And I'm curious what Biegman's going to say about four and a half hours from now when he does that radio show 'cause I'm sure you'll sound off on this. There is you have two guys in that organization that have more power than Antonio Brown. One of them. He only has more power almost entitled because all he can do is hurt the team by benching the other one acts of full nearly as much and not surprisingly the other one Big Ben is the one who the ball got thrown at it. Remember the Facebook thing, right. Self is that was he intimate setting impotent moment where coach say things they won't say publicly. He's he's he's recording it, right? I mean and also a week in a week ago. We were talking about how this team voted on an MVP and even though Antonio Brown put up great numbers this year. They voted for juju Smith Schuster, which I'm sure he felt and it's indicative of how this team may be sees him and has been really I think that was more in Tony won that award voting on by seem mates prior to this year four times in the previous six and juju actually had. He didn't have the touchstones. We had more yards more catches than aby. I think that was more a slap at Ben burger who hadn't won at once since two thousand nine is only one at once ever that that team VP that the team never votes on to quarterback who has been for a long time either the best segments player on the team. That's an interesting part of the Steelers as well. All right. We'll take a break. But it will be interesting to hear if Big Ben does speak today. Throw us under the bus just while each throwing people coming up are the eagles making mistakes sticking with Nick foles. Happy New Year's day everyone. This is I..

"They bite to import some Mike mayo in Tonio Brown breakdown. What he's that'd be big for their Vegas entrance Vegas or next year. In london. There's another superstars crew nor to one Antonio Brown in there. I don't know, man. I if I remember correctly, he loved them during the during the broadcasts as an announcer. But as a coach who the fuck knows he's he's so good at football. Yeah. He's great at football. He's so good at football. It's just like man, grinder levian belts. So good at football. It's like, man. What's going James Harrison it used to be good at football. Oh, she takes. Hey, guys going to see in an airport or something? And it's over. Oh, he's going to go, bro. You look great after shedding thirty four pounds. But I'm you know, I'm gonna kick in the nuts. We're gonna kick them in the nuts. I don't punch. He don't don't fight fair put me through brick wall. You'd see them. You know, what I hope he does come? Was a hell of football player when he wants to New England he did well to a wild scene Steelers. He was calling out the Steelers when he was wearing those. I don't really didn't play the Super Bowl you talking about. I don't think I don't think the steel I don't think the Steelers. I don't understand how they're always in followed thought with. But it's business size. Seems to be the problem. It always the business side is also seems to be the problem too. So it's like covert sewers the players like what is it? It's the most dramatic team in the NFL by four. It's terrible. I see this one of those guys. He's pissed they were saying because Jews doing so while he's an ego maniac percents a wide receiver in the NFL. Let's remember that. So he rather be on a shitty team where he played the only guy to throw to probably. You have a losing. Also, not good. Yeah. Yeah. But if you're getting paid, hey, maybe Green Bay. That's what I said. I hope to two first round picks. I would gladly have them trade. The pit Rogers by the way could be cool with. I think Tony Rogers would be very cool him on one side Davante Adams on the other. The. Oh, yeah. This Benz piece of shit too. So this could be Roger. Are you officially a Browns fan? Now. What do you mean? I don. Yeah. I've been doing this. I've been calling bene- piece of shit for years because he turns to retire every offseason he calls out every fucking player on the team. That's a problem. What if an Tonio Brown mandolin because of that move, nobody everybody's spending this then Tonio Brown's a bad guy. What's been Tonio brownies? Sick of Ben just calling out like the rookie wide receiver blaming it on him doing that type of stuff is anybody know if that's the case, so yeah. But he's still show up for practice. I agree on ABC's got a pattern here. It's not like, it's nice later. This a third time this year that he has these skipped practice. No. Maybe just say it's been those that can be a real problem. Players teams that we hate we didn't fuck and leave the team because we hated the guy on the team. I did joke to work every day. Hated you. Yeah. So be professional. He added made two and he showed up, by the way. Professional. He did catch fifteen touchdowns this year. Like, what are you talking the whole? But it might not be that though..

"A dull moment in Pittsburgh. That's for sure. Even though the Steelers are not in the postseason, which I still consider to be the biggest failure of the two thousand eighteen campaign. We'll talk a lot more after we hear what Mike Tomlin has to say on Wednesday. But for now, it's a lot of rumor and speculation and the support from Ben Rothlisberger four and Tonio Brown kind of confuses everything that plus the report that we heard on Tuesday that in Tokyo Brown has in fact requested a trade out of the steel city. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. I know that George Kato would love to have in San Francisco you seen out the Niners tight end sent him a tweet and something along the lines of what's up Abe, eighty four. I think that was that was the extent of the tweet. But anyway, so we'll see we'll see whether or not that actually becomes a reality. But there's some time that we have to waste between now. And then before we get to our guests really quickly. What is the trend that was really popular in two thousand eighteen that you would like to see cool down or completely die out in two thousand nineteen question for tonight the trend from last year that you hope does not carry forward into two thousand nineteen on Twitter alawradio or on our Facebook page and go ahead and send your questions for ask Amy anything as well. Right now, we had to Pittsburgh and welcome Ryan, Paul DOE. Who covers the Steelers as I'm sorry, Ray Apollo who covers the Steelers as well as the NFL for the Pittsburgh post gazette. And I know he's battling a bit of a cold. So we appreciate a couple of minutes with him. Is it true? Let's start with this. Let's try to clarify here. Is it true that Antonio Brown has gone to the Steelers and requested a trade out of town? Well, I know that was reported by. CBS? Been able to confirm that with anyone just yet. I think we'll get a better idea on one day when my mom one meets with us. Under the season is called foal. So I know there were some very reports on that. But I have not been able to confirm. What what Jason report would that be a massive surprise to you? If in fact, it was true. No. Listen all Antonio. Have had their problems going back to mini camp in June. There's been something. All season long. There was the incident in Florida where the the furniture was thrown off his balcony. He's been feuding worst-ever office burger on and off throughout the year. His office of. Throughout year. So no that wouldn't surprise me at all. Wasn't given. What's transpired with Steelers over the last year or so Dr Martavis Bryant in the way, he was able to sources way out of Pittsburgh Antonio that entire situation develops. So he probably feels that he could do the same. In your opinion. What is the big beef with Ben if there's one, oh, how would you pinpoint it? No, I don't know what the situation is. I mean, we reported in Pittsburgh post gazette. There was a little flare up at at a Wednesday walks. Federal office went on his radio show on New Year's day and said he talked to Antonio on Thursday morning. And he thought everything was good. The MVP team MVP vote came along. It was revealed that you just miss Schuster. Was named the Steelers MVP and Antonio wasn't hurt from. He did not show up for work. Friday, Saturday Sunday was gonna play. So people were you know, adding to two together. Believe me he's upset Jim. Juju being named MVP. But we haven't heard any told me story. So we'll have to wait to hear from him. Whenever that is. I have to ask though, considering the magnitude of week seventeen as much as the Steelers could control he goes AWOL in the days before that how does that play with his teammates who understand his value in his talent? And yet here he is putting himself above whatever priorities the team as yeah. Yeah. They were just shocked. Yeah. There are some longtime professionals as you know, that's a very veteran. Walker? Lot of wine. You know, some of those guys have been playing together tab two thousand eleven two thousand twelve the majority of that offense of wine is put together. For almost a decade now. So. Like that. So there are I'm sure they're just looking at each other saying boy, you know, what's going on here. You know, we're trying. To get into the playoffs. And this guy's while showing up for work. So does have some. Lauko but his behavior in the past week. I think really damage who smothers Rafit appalled. Oh covers the Steelers and the NFL with us here after hours on CBS sports radio. So the the headline that is on your story on on Tuesday. New Year's day is have the Steelers reached their breaking point within Tonio Brown. So Ray have they I it is there really an easy answer to this. I don't know. But have they reached that point? Well, I think this is by far the worst thing that he's done. You know, I think people will remember the Facebook live video after the playoff winning Kansas. He was fine for that. But. You played the next week in the AFC championship game. So. This feels different Amy. This feels like something that is going to be hard to get to get over for for for both sides. But I don't know what the in as either he's under contract for three more years. To him. He will twenty one million dollars against their salary cap in two thousand eighteen no matter what. So there's just no really easy solution to this. But best case scenario for both sides of the. Sort kissing make up, but given what's transpired here in the last four or five days, I think that's going to be hard to do. What's your reaction to Ben's? Glowing comments about in Tonio brownies weekly appearance on 93.7 the fan. Yeah. I mean, listen. They've done this before they got into it earlier and to see her. I think it was after the Denver game. When on Tonio ran the wrong route in the end zone to thebenz specifications. And he was called off by the quarterback and shoot over that. But they made up and this has been going on for years now. So. Can't happen again. Yeah. Guess. As I said this this. Somebody others. All right. Just to clarify. Right. Do you believe that Ben is being genuine insincere when he praises Antonio and says he'd welcome back. I do. Listen, they have their problems. There is no denying that. Such a dynamic duo for so long out there. You know, their statistics. The foraging hall of fame careers together. Really? One two Super Bowls before Tokyo came along. But he didn't have the Paschal success statistical success until ABC did get trapped in two thousand ten so. Is it going to be difficult? Yeah. It's going to be difficult. But I do think it's something they could work through. Really committed to it. Paul do of the Pittsburgh post gazette with happy new year for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Oh my goodness. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. So the Antonio Brown questions still needs to be answered we'll hear from coach Tomlin coming up on Wednesday. But there are other questions that need to be answered about the Steelers in the off season. And the big one that still looms there is on Belle. Are we any closer to knowing how the Steelers will handle their superstar running back? Feeling tells me they're just going to let him go. Ho sign with another team. If that happens will be happy to compensatory traffic in return. In april. They have the option to transition. But given all the issues that are going on right now with Antonio Brown and everything really that they've been going through for more than two years now on I think they're just gonna. Let that go. Let the contract expire and hopefully a free agent March. And you know, he'll he'll get what he wants. I, you know. The highest bidder will give us a he. I think that's what he's one. When you look at the the Steelers finished the season. And I know they beat Cincinnati. But before that losing four of five, of course missing out on the play offs. What do you think were the the biggest issues for the team this year Ray? Just turn over to anybody offense not left by the defense of Ben Rothlisberger. Led the league with sixteen interceptions. Their defense. Will create any. Was just a constant for them all season. And they were just in too many close games and back on two thousand seventeen they won those close games. Way to lose him. Okay. This may be a question that is the obvious answer to you to people in Pittsburgh. But for the rest of the nation is there any chance at all to the make a coaching change. I don't think. So I I walk going on right now. And it looks really bad from the outside. But if you go back and look at the Rooney family's history with their head coaches Bill Kollar missed the playoffs for three consecutive years. They signed him to a new deal if the end of that stretch, and they were in the AFC championship. Just a couple of years later. So I think we'll stick with Mike in the situation. I think they're very well could be other changes in other things could be coming on defense. But I do still step. Step with my call and see if he could write out this this rough patch that he's going through right now. So that doesn't change what else changes. Well, I mean, I I met some some possibly some some changes on defense share with what the coaching staff. Personnel wise, they're gonna hassle salary cap space. It's not their MO to go. They took a free agents. They're you know, they're more inclined to decide their own free agents. And. You know, we talked a little bit about Ben Rothlisberger. He's up for a new deal. After the two thousand nineteen season. So you gotta take care of him. Take care of some others. I don't think there's going to be a lot of change. I think they still believe they have talent on this roster. There's no doubt the window is starting to close. So they're going to have to get this done soon. So I don't expect major changes. But I I do expect a few tweaks along the way. To see if they can get this turned around for next fall. And definitely a long off season for the members of that locker room to stew over what went wrong, you can find Ray on Twitter at Rafit F. I T t one Rafit appalled. Oh covers the Steelers and the NFL for the Pittsburgh post Gazette's, lots of question marks around the Steelers. Thanks so much for hanging out with us for a couple of minutes. Trying to answer them. Thanks for having me on. So Mike Tomlin remains if you're looking for a coaching change there in Pittsburgh. That's not likely to happen though. Could it be the end of both L and AB problem is Antonio Brown will cost the Steelers a lot of money. No matter what. All right. We got one hour. Dow, thanks for joining us. Happy new year after hours on CBS sports radio..

"He almost sitting credulously to the media's rebound the Pittsburgh post gazette this morning. What do you want me to do not play them? And it is an interesting point. Like, what do you do? When a player is this good is consistently this productive. He's fourteen hundred yards basically every single year. It's tough not to play them it. He had to go to these extent. This extent to not play him. And even then the team was covering up for him. They were calling this a need in dry up until it got out after the game. How does a team reacted us? How does the rest of the your lock remaining I wonder going into Sunday's game? How much the whole team actually knew what was going on. And how they reacted and how he comes back from this. If he financially camping moved how you move on. From this and get back on the same page with both Big Ben and the rest of the team. He's going to have one of those Jesus moments and understand and he can get in front. I mean, the fact that he wasn't even there when the team were were exiting yesterday. He knew was show up yesterday. The fact that Rooney reached out to him turnover olders calls. I mean, I don't know how you come back from this. I mean, sometimes you gotta eat that money is more important for you to have a culture because you know, how do you empower ill Tomlin to be able to discipline everybody when we know the AB has set of rules, and at the end of the day, this thing is if no FAS only one being at three Bs it's time to rebuild and start to think about doing something different in Pittsburgh, anyway, especially looking at the rest of the division San where the ravens are saying where the browser what the Browns are doing. "Dan. Dan Bailey. Here's Mike Zimmer on why they needed to make this move. What went into the decision today? Let girls did you see the game. Was it wasn't an easy position that was pretty easy. Is that what you're talking about them yet? I love my exhibit because it's true kickers are ruining the game right now. You have opportunity to win opportunity to be the division fold in their place and you don't make the kicks in. When you do that, you have to go. The kicker has cost the Cleveland Browns two games already. This season, and this is a team coming off of all in the sixteen year. You put yourself in a position to win because Allah's doesn't make the kicks, and that's a problem. You have to get a guy there. You can at least be confident. All right. I'd Ryan Fitzpatrick whether history continue starting with James Winston return suspension. The Sean Jackson told NFL network. You can't take the hot man out. Do you agree the Sean Jackson is being nice here. What he should have said is Ryan Fitzpatrick is our starter. This team was put together to make these big plays. When you have the Sean outside, you have Mike Evans in those plays were not made by James Winston last year, and they're all to smoke in hot start. You win two games that you were not favored to win coming into the season. You have to continue to ride Ryan Patrick as long as he's making these place for you? Dirt cutting knows. He needs this for his job. Fitzpatrick remains quarterback nine. So two guys have been nice. One guy's been mean how about this one then and Pittsburgh. Sunday cameras caught Antonio Brown, arguing with offense coordinator, Randy Fichtner during Pittsburgh's loss to the chiefs. Then on Monday, the drama continued after a former Steelers employees tweeted that AB wouldn't be successful on another team without Big, Ben Antonio Bryant tweeted back trade me. Let's find out ryen. What's he talking about? He got an his failures. Sometimes when you get in your feelings, it's hard to hide everything behind that smile, everything behind those dances, those commercials. Sometimes it comes out there, hey, I am about me, right. I little selfish. The things that you say the perceptions of me may not be so true, and I think it touches you more because you know, scrap workforce, you know he was a guy. You know, when you go into different interviews and doing different things, he's the one that comes in grabs you out of the locker. Room. He's probably the closest you get to a PR guy, and so him saying this touches you in a different way, and that's why he replied in the way that he did. So it's important to point out. This was not for lack of a better word random fan who tweeted of AB. It was someone that he knew and he responded to it what we make of the whole situation. They're big picture right now and there's they're not playing well, we still have the Levy on bell drama going on. The Steelers have to real Tonio brownie for so long. He's had such high football characters such high football work ethic. Some of the things that he's done, kind of just pushed it under the rug, whether it's Facebook, live ING kicking over the Gatorade cooler lashes. Some of these things have to be real did now because there's so much going on outside of just Antonio Brown. He has to think about team in this situation. And right now he's becoming a larger distraction. Then what his play is this year, I'm saying not his whole career, but what is play has been this year. He needs to focus up and just play ball. I still think if Lebanon bell was there, none of. This would be as dramatic perhaps. But right now, I mean, the Steelers offense looks bad. Their defense has been just terrible and we'll see if they start winning games or as we continue the NFL says that the officials made the right call on the controversial claim us roughing the passer, Ryan Clark. We'll have a take you might not expect on the NFL's response and the Browns. They were so close to winning. Again, Todd mcshay will join the show..
