The massive increase in parents from in school board races local government has federal implications on school boards and how it will affect the 2022 midterms and new data coming out shows that things are not just bad for Democrat. Things are not just going in the wrong direction. Things are worse than they could have ever possibly imagined. Play cut 11. Now, tomorrow night, Republican Glenn youngkin, as you're seeing there, he's going to make a major announcement. He says he's going to highlight some of these issues with the federal government getting involved with schools, and we will be there tomorrow as he brings out a plan that he says will combat all of that. The question, though, remains will parent enthusiasm overall translate into voter turnout. If so, that could have major implications for how midterm campaigns will be run

California Has a Lot of Recall Attempts, and Not Just for Governors

"The city of los angeles alone. There are currently three efforts underway right now to recall members of the los angeles city council and the tone of the l. a. times here is telling quote another day another recall notice in the city of los angeles. You need a grand total of five voters to get together to begin the process of calling for a recall for los angeles official five voters. Literally you can start a recall with the number of people you can fit in your camry and it's not just lay across the state of california. There are more than seventy elected officials who are facing the threat of recall just this year. Because that's how they do it in california california asked for recalls all the time you can mount a recall campaign against any statewide elected official for any reason at all if you can achieve the grand results of collecting signatures from just twelve percent of people. Who voted in the last election for that seat. Not twelve percent of registered voters but twelve percent of the number of people who voted in the last election for that seat specifically. That's all you need to be able to get that. Statewide elected official. Put up for recall as low bars. Go this is kind of so low. It just sits there on the floor and invites you to walk on it. And so every governor in california for the past sixty years as faced at one attempt to recall them And you will of course recalled the successful two thousand and three recall of democrat. California governor gray davis. That's how we ended up. Bizarrely with governor arnold schwarzenegger for a hot but now the republicans are trying again with this. Recall attempt that they are mounting against democratic governor gavin. Newsom the polls close tomorrow tonight Excuse me close tomorrow night at eight. Pm pacific time

NFL Cancels National Anthem Performance After Singer Refuses to Vaccinate

"A big football game the big big day tomorrow night. tampa bay is going to host. The dallas cowboys. There's a story associated with the game that has barely been mentioned but there was an article in the epoch times. The told the story of victory boyd. Victory boyd is a twenty seven year old singer songwriter. She's a grammy award. She was a member of the team that produced kanye west's grammy award winning. Jesus is king twenty twenty top contemporary christian album and she was slated to sing the star spangled banner before the tampa bay dallas cowboys game. She asked for religious exemption to not have to take the vaccine well. Nfl said you're fired if you're not vaccinated as you stand in the middle of a football field in a stadium full of sixty five thousand largely unvaccinated people than you can't sing the national anthem before the tampa bay buccaneers dallas cowboys game. Covert insanity is at a fevered pitch. Let that sink in in a stadium. Full an open air stadium of sixty five thousand people many if not most of whom will be unvaccinated twenty-seven-year-old tamp victory. Boyd will not be allowed to sing now. I haven't seen a picture of her yet. But i'm gonna make an assumption. I could be wrong. But i'm gonna make assumption that this is a young black woman and in fact. Yuri are great. Video manager has already found a picture of her. And if you're watching the show on our livestream. Mike online dot com there. She is beautiful young african american woman. You're going to be hard pressed to find much coverage of this controversy and one would think you would be a pretty big story. Don't you think this big story. The woman who was going to sing the star spangled banner before the tampa bay. Dallas game is fired because she won't be vaccinated after seeking a religious exemption from the nfl. Why it's not a big story. You know why you're going to only find it in places like the epoch times evidently because she's a young black woman

"tomorrow night" Discussed on Niners Nation

"Forty niners after. Kyle shanahan comments. Yesterday the table for saturday night is officially set. Two meals start out. I mean with most of our starters. I know there's there's a number of guys that aren't planned to be safe with some guys who've been banged up but trying to get most of our starters going. Jimmy will be hopefully just one series. Then i'll get trading there and hopefully just the whole first half couple things to add to that trey lance. We'll be working with the second team. Kyle said all of the starters will come out of the game when jimmy garoppolo does and he also said he wants to get lance about thirty snaps or so and he would be willing to play him into the third quarter to make that happen in terms of the actual debut for lance. Kyle tried to keep everything in perspective. Undecided seem play like everyone else's It's fun to watch quarterbacks. Go out there for the first time and stuff. But i don't get nervous for the person or anything like that because i. I think it's fun to watch. I know no one's going to remember house first. Preseason game is that they will the next day and that that's all right. So i know rookies get some butterflies and stuff and it is a big deal for them but it the reality of it it isn't it's it's an experience for them. I think is going to make the team. So he doesn't have to go out there and freak out about that But he knows what is will be on them and sometimes guys want to go out there and make some place and show everyone what to be excited about. And i always try to tell them. It's just like practice except they can hit you so just calm down and just do your job like you try to do out here every day. Because that's what quarterback is going to be every single day your life so you don't plan you better believe people be talking about it. The next day we're going to have an instant reaction show on the niners nation youtube page right after the game. Forget about the next morning. We'll be all over that. Make sure you join us. They're one of the things. I want to see the most. Is i wanna see lance run. Let's see him take off uses legs. Kyle was asked about that yesterday and he revealed an interesting little coaching point. That he tells quarterbacks when they're on the run every time you evaluate a run. And where you get to. You always talk about. How would you protect yourself here. How are you going down. What's the are you going for more or sliding or you go ahead first. Step out of bounce. I i don't ever want a guy in practice to practice diving her sliding sometimes you don't wanna hurt her wrist or get. Your feet caught an awkward way so That's something that we're all going to see in the game and trae says the right things is pretty good runner. He's pretty competitive so I hope you take my word for it. Sometimes those guys don't believe how hard people hit and then they get a couple times and then fell in la all right now. I know what you're talking about for. All the great work kyle did in washington with. Rg three and he did a ton because don't forget. Rg three was the offensive rookie of the year. The same year andrew luck came into the league. So kyle did some wonders there but he could never get. Rg three to protect himself. He could never drill that into his head enough that. Hey when you're on the sideline just go out of bounds. Don't take the big hit. Make sure you get down and rg three was hurt a lot because of it. So i'm interested to see if lance can protect himself when you need to 'cause i always felt like that's something that usually doesn't change with the player they either have that instinct like russell wilson or they don't if you're wondering about some of the other names for tomorrow night here is what we know so far. Nick bosa andy. Ford both will not play and jalen hurd is also not going to play. Although kyle did go out of his way yesterday to mention that he was very impressed with her to was back a practice heard had either two or three catches depending on who you wanna believe terms of the preseason statistics But if it's three. I mean at basically triples his training camp output. So that's fantastic. And hopefully he can get healthy and get on the field so that we actually get a chance to see this dude. After all this time we always give you something to read something to watch and something. You might have missed something to read on this friday. I enjoyed she'll ca potty as twenty-five most intriguing players of the twenty twenty one season. It's on the athletic right now. There's a ton of great storylines in there. Look at it and yes. There is at least one forty niner. Pretty high on the list something to watch matt. Maiocco of nbc. Sports bay area has a great series called the choice and it is all about the forty nine or selection of trae lance and april. He's got interviews. In their atlanta's parents lances siblings people from his hometown in minnesota. There's a whole lot of juicy stuff in there and it was must watch for me. I highly recommend you. Go check that out. Something you might have missed kyle. Shanahan flash back to the first time the forty niners ever met with trae lance and pointed out that you kind of forget how young he actually is. First time we talked to them. We're gonna offer him a beer. And then i realized that'd be supplying a minor so we definitely didn't so you forget about as he's mature he doesn't look like twenty one year old and maybe in his face but now he he He definitely acts while more wise in that. Or at least i wasn't i was twenty one. Kyle also said he hasn't worked with a quarterback that young since johnny manziel in cleveland. Let's hope things turn out slightly differently for lance in the forty niners. That's going to do it for today. Stats and eggs please. Rate review and follow the niners nation. Podcast network drop a rating and review for us to like. I said after the game tomorrow on the niners nation youtube page we doing a live instant reaction show myself and kyle posey will be with you also hoping to have other members of the podcast network dropped by maybe a kosh on of rothen levin black so we want to have everybody into the pool and we want to hear from you. We will take your comments. We will read your comments. Interact with you as much as possible. We really do look forward to that. So thank you. Hopefully you can join us for that either way. Enjoy your friday everybody. i'm rob stats guerrero. And we'll talk after the game tomorrow..

They make lots of money for a lot of colleges and universities. Shouldn't they get some salary? Some amount of money? The court didn't reach that because they were only addressing a lower court opinion. What if Earth Spun 10 Times Faster?

"What if earth spun ten times faster. I'm pretty sure we didn't earthy question last week. i think we did. Is continent connected. It was well still even though we did that. One just before it had been a while before that what it feels like we haven't done many earthy questions i know feels like a long time to him. Maybe one week is too long for me to not do a question about earth. Marcus herbal object permanence. If i don't see the earth how do i know it exists then. Sincere being snarky bathroom. Why don't you start us when i get so. I looked into obviously the spain. Ten times faster. That's going to change. How long are days and nights are. We're looking to try before before you get too far into it. We just one note. Yes our parameters here. We're basically saying that. The earth is always spinning ten times. Faster not just immediately starting to go ten times faster like an overnight thing to despise of nobody if the earth suddenly started moving ten times faster it is an absolute catastrophic accompany of earthquakes. You know ridiculous strong hurricanes and things Everyone just dies before anything interesting happens. That isn't just immediately apparent of why you don't drastically changed of planets and benz shorter day night cycle really doesn't matter at all. It does not sure does one real short day. No one will be there for the night. So that's the only thing. I want to add before you jump in bed but go ahead. Yes so the first question is you know what are our current days. Like around around the world. So it varies based on where you are in relation to the equator. If you're the equator your days are around twelve hours long all year long. I should look a city in. Ecuador called Kito or i'm not sure which is about sixteen miles south of the equator. And they're the the daytime. Was you know it was from from like twelve hours and five minutes to twelve hours. Eight-match minutes year round. You know so pretty constant twelve hour day tomorrow night for us. We're all around boston on this. Podcast it does fluctuate based on the season so as we're recording this. We're actually just coming up on the summer solstice which is june twentieth. It's obviously already passed listening to this. But on the solstice which is the day where the day is longest shortest The sunrises five of seven. Am sunsets eight twenty four pm. So the daytime is about fifteen quarter hours around sixty four percent of the day on the contrary the winter solstice which is in december december. Twenty first it's kind of the inverse so sunset is our sunrise seven ten. Am sunsets four fourteen pm. so daytime. it's only about nine hours. It's about thirty eight percent of the day so obviously if you have ten times faster days you're going to have started ten times faster rotation of earth. You're going to have days their tenth as long.

Four to the final four for the nineteen taught school history the first since two thousand eight. The bruins aren't going off final four. Ucla's own players are using words like surreal unreal. When they're asked to describe what this ride to the final four has been like. So how did ucla pull all of this out of the anyone knows and it's funny because a lot of people are saying. Hey you should have believed in the pac twelve. But i demanded all pac twelve fans. Show me they're brackets so we can see if they even believed in the past well. Ucla came out of nowhere and just to beat a team like michigan. That was legitimately a great team. That people thought might be able to some trouble and here. They are just winning game after game. I mean if you want to sum up the chaos of the entire twenty twenty twenty twenty one season. It's ucla in the final four right now after. Not even being the best team in the pack twelve so they make it from the first four to the final four. The second team since vcu to do that. When i saw them beat michigan. S. soccer federation leader Carlos Cordeiro none whatsoever Sir been especially when you've gotten Volkswagen coke and other sponsorships coming out immediately gone right after U. S. soccer federation Carlos canal but I remember after the night that the United States men's national team failed to qualify for the World Cup Scott van pelt on his SportsCenter show asked me if I believe that this could be fixed and I answered this I said my heart says yes but my brain tells me no soon very few times in my life my brain is being correct and here we are March twelfth twenty twenty hello Carlos Cordeiro steps down as president that's fine who's the next leader where is the leadership going to come from how is this thing going to move forward that was two thousand seventeen and yet you're asking me a question about a federation in a twenty six hundred page legal filing saying that biological sciences the reason why men should make more money than the women you've got to be kidding me and yet I still look in the camera right now and I ask everyone that is following this what's the board of directors going to do now the onus is on you to find the right leader in to get this ship going forward versus backward I just didn't think we'd still be having this conversation on March twelfth twenty twenty but the reality is we are and the fact is the women more often than not or more visible and have been more successful for the men but here we are having a sports centre head talking about what biological science this is where U. S. soccer is at the present moment it's well said biological science in the filings they just mentioned that the speed and the strength that the men play with and that obviously set off a lot of alarm bells so the next step for the women is this on may fifth there's gonna be a huge trial that's going to take place in the winter looking for sixty six million dollars in damages a lot of legal experts are saying they're probably not gonna be able to get that particular amount as they fight for equal pay gender discrimination pay discrimination but what should we be looking for as we move toward that date in court for that amount of money Zubin Wednesday are on my show digital show on Twitter Facebook you tube in the ESPN app it's called banter with Taylor Twellman and I mentioned that the crux of this situation is this it is thirty four million dollars the difference in the FIFA competitions for the men and women that is not on U. S. soccer to follow that that is not on U. S. soccer to come up with that that's a fact that's not an opinion however their incompetency in the way they've covered this it's probably going to cost them more money now that sixty six million that's easy in combination with other stuff but U. S. soccer right now on March twelfth twenty twenty is offering the women the exact same contract as the man here's the issue that men don't want to renegotiate their deal until the women do because then they're going to follow it up and say well no no no we want ten to fifteen percent more you want to put the nail in the coffin and knocked his dad both representations of the many women walk why didn't why didn't U. S. soccer federation you negotiate the deal vaccine quality not trying to warn each other up but that sixty six million thirty four million the thirty four million civil support number for the average viewer to understand that is the fee for decision that is not a U. S. soccer decision and anyone arguing that U. S. soccer is in charge of that when are you open up a whole nother can of worms saying wait a minute U. S. soccer's now the responsible for FIFA's view of racism that's not true features have their head in the sand for the last thirty to forty years U. S. soccer doesn't have to pay that thirty four million because FIFA is incompetent and looks at women on equal to men that's a different common conversation if that makes any sense that's Taylor Twellman on SportsCenter Cordero is going to be replaced by Cindy Parlow Cohn who had been serving as a USSF vice president the sports world has been shut down details next it's ESPN radio figure out a way to allow this season to have a champion a playoff system that is fair based on what's clearly going to be games lost the regular season that they're.

"Iffy. Because when it starts thought. Yeah. The ice melt, and then the cracks that have been created in pipes or whatever become evident and not only that we're gonna have a flood of Gulf moisture coming up tomorrow. We'll turn partly sunny. It'd be kind of a nice day, and it'll feel tropical compared to what we've been through with a high around twenty one, but then the Gulf moisture flood up late tomorrow night, and that's going to bring low clouds, freezing drizzle and fog into the area that will last into Saturday morning that could be really dicey. If that works out the wrong way, and it may but. What do you mean? Down. And if you drizzle into an area that this barbaric cold for three days ground is where it's exposed in. And so are the roads cold and below freezing. So you're gonna get some icing to occur and this would be lately tomorrow night and into Saturday morning. We think by afternoon Saturday will break above freezing. And and then get up to the low forty s on Sunday when it'll be breezy, and there may be some morning drizzle. And then rain with a spike up to around fifty to the middle of the day Monday. And then as colder air starts dumping back in again. But it's a moderate branded cold still a second storm. They come in Tuesday night Wednesday hackery wash. It could be a wintry mix you some snow and then another chunk of fairly cold area and later next week. And then we go into a more moderate brand of cold and more seasonable like upper twenties too low thirties as we get into the not this weekend. But next week at this weekend, by the way. Average about twenty two and a half degrees warmer than last weekend. So there were really gonna notice in coming days, some substantial temperature improvement won't be as fast as.

"Anytime at eight fifty W F T L dot com. I it's joepags coming up the president of the United States is her father-in-law. It'll be Laura Trump. We'll talk about the government shutdown the constant tax on her family and much more. Plus Hollywood again last night showed how out of touch it is and more on the Joe pags show tonight at six oh, six on news talk eight fifty W F T L. So this Trump addressed tomorrow night. On primetime television that television both focus on the crisis at the border. Question. What can a crisis is there? How's this different than what we've been dealing with for? I don't know ten fifteen twenty years. I don't notice any difference to you. Do you notice like, you know, it's like an onslaught of hundreds of thousands of people with exception of the caravan. Now's is really different. We're gonna crisis. What's the latest crisis? I just always have it was that zombie movie. Remember where they go to Israel because Israel has a wall World War Z. Right, right. I just have that image of like those millions of zombies climbing over each other to get to the Trump victory budget up in there. Well, you around her. She was reading my mind L if you do this. But there are literally I found out there a little bit of into that we have sixty thousand Mexican. Ethic. Sport. Nobody knows that does this. We were looking at to it. We thought it was just but the truth of the batteries. That's what's happening. We're going to get this this the barrier. Really really should really really showed. We're going to that. I could tell you. Yeah. That's next. Problem is the problem is he wrote a check couldn't cash. That's what the problem is. I mean, you know, you go, and you you scream about the McCain pain Mexico's paying for the wall. Everybody's like all right. As long as somebody else is paying for it as long as you got this thing. Like, I've said from the beginning, I build the wall. As long as it's you know, it's being paid for by who said it's gonna is gonna pay for Mexico's not paying for the wall. It's not happening. But by the time the trade deal is done the money that we're going to make the billions of dollars. We're going to get. That's still paying for the wall. You could dance around at all you want. But you have to. Come up with this money. And there's no way of doing it. And that's why we're in the situation we're in now as far as it affecting you or I that goodness will let federal place, but shouldn't these people who are working, you know, in congress? Should they be not Kelly pain? Also, you would think how come they're getting paid. They're supposed to get that ten percent. Was it ten thousand dollar a.
