"Npr. I you look at the bills against tight ends. It's it's been good has not been great against tight ends. He's not a great start but in terms of the two guys. I'm sorry that's what you're asking a arnold over competent but he's not my top twelve. I wasn't making. I was i was just saying you know. He's playing the bills. Dan arnold and tight end is just one position where they haven't been mega elite against so far Any interest in mohali targets. Keep up for arnold because there is. I think it was two games ago. He wasn't targeted very much at all. And who's very unproductive. I don't think he's that good of a player. He has eight five ten targets in his last. Three games stint arnold. He's basically been there their replacement for dj shark from a target standpoint. Jamal new is taking viscous in all fields. The both those guys are playing more so than chenault and what chuck would have been so three more names. I just want us to ratchet molly cox against the jets. Tommy sweeney if knox's out at jacksonville and evan ingram i guess against the of ingram. I put on the list Again another match but as you saw he wasn't involved with those second africa chiefs molly cox is somebody to add as well. Just hoping course. Okay but in all seriousness. If you can stash logan thomas i think he's worth the stash. Oh absolutely dave and foster moreau. I suppose if if while there doesn't play we heard anything about waller. They said he should be okay. So then don't don't stash. Dst's patriots at carolina saints at atlanta at home against atlanta ravens against the vikings dolphins against the texans panthers against new england. And there's one more jamie the raiders. What do you think about the raiders at the giants. Not bad at all. Twenty two percent rostered. So it's pretty good week for. Dsp's on the waiver wire and also the colts the eighty percent roster. Kohl's get the jets on thursday with the mike white performance are the cold still a highly ranked. Dsp for you this week. Yeah he's still had two interceptions. It wasn't like it was perfect. Fumbled to. Yeah some saks okeydokey. Mike badgley daniel carlson greg. Joseph brian johnson.

"We don't have to talk about because the trade deadline would pass passed. I'm so freaking sick of talking about the shawn watson. I'm sick at earn about him anyway. That's just a personal a personal preference here. But i the funny part is is. I actually think too was played pretty well. The last couple of weeks certainly better than sam. Darnold that of the teams that have been rumored to acquire the shawn watson to his armed. Still just it looks like he's thrown balloons out there to me but it feels like he's played pretty well the last couple of weeks and now for the dolphins you know mike ezekie I think is somebody you play. The problem is with the wide receivers. This is not the falcon defense that the falcon defense that they played in week seven. This is not the jaguar defense to a faced in week six. This is the bills defense. Maybe the best defense in football. I do not expect to have a lot of success in this game The guys i feel good about playing or sticky jalen waddell otherwise. Good luck with miles. Gaskin malcolm brown on our if you think vials gaskins the guy who's going to emerge here against this defense. I'd probably be looking for another option unless i'm just plugging a minute flex. Are what about the bills offense. Joe roff the peaky blinder. Tommy sweeney is going to be the is going to be the tight end here. Dawson knocks campaign. He's not expected to you. Know coming off the surgery but for the for the buffalo bills. i mean. They're kind of the team that they are every week. Just they nixed the ball around a little bit more than they have in recent weeks than they did last year rather Against tennessee to throw the ball baltin emmanuel sanders step on digs and cold beasley. All had eight or more targets in that game. Great to see stefan digs have a really big game in that one Zach moss still. There lead back but devon single. Terry actually looked pretty good against Against tennessee. So i'm gonna say that zach moss's more rb three flex guy right now with the way that a devon single terry looked in that game catching five passes on fine playing all of sanders digs and beasley and josh allen Just a passing offense. That is once again. Taking off josh. Allen is probably given the state of homes the best quarterback in the nfl. Right now one down one to go. We still got to get to the sunday late games as well.

"Good to hear from you. A tradition like no other. John got to hear from John to South Carolina, Derek and South Carolina. Good morning. I'm Buffalo Bills Game day. Hey, I guys doing, man. We're doing good, Derek. All right, so pumped up bills mafia today. I know. I know. You know, I said too much about Dawson Knox. But I hope he's a big big part of it. And my question is. How is it Mr. Go do today. I know what you want One man down, but I hope our defenses shows up today. All right. Thanks, Derek. First on Knox. We didn't talk about him. Really? Not really. I don't think we've mentioned him at all. We went through a whole segment with sound didn't get around to the tight ends. Tight end is a spot The bills went to the offseason want they want? Well, they want to improve, right? And it just didn't happen. Didn't happen. Yeah. So Tommy Sweeney is in the mix. Knox is still your number one tight end. It doesn't have to be a problem. He definitely flashes signs that well, if suddenly he speaking of golf games. You look, you watch Noxon like there's got to be more in there. There's got to be more in their consistency is what he needs, right. He's got a highlight reel plays. Um, he can run guys over. He can make great catches. You just want a little more from him. And I think he does give you some vertical explosiveness, not the best in the league. Of course, he's not a top five top 10 tight end, but Tight ends do develop later than most positions, Nate. So if you're going to hold out belief in a guy still having more to come, I think that's one of the positions you can do it with because Look. Darren Waller, Logan, Thomas Thomas, John Smith. I mentioned I'm a big fan. He's still like 25. Yeah, and he's played in the league, and now he's going to a new team. NOx played quarterback in high school. Yeah, so he didn't really at all developer get featured in an offense that had E. J. Brown. He never called touch. Didn't catch touchdown in college, right when you have d K. Metcalf and AJ Brown. I mean, come on, So I'm not saying that it's definitely going to happen. But if you want to have faith in a guy still figuring it out. I think tight end is one where you can do that You absolutely can do that. And I think not only that he is a legitimate red zone threat. These are legitimate red zone threat, so he's going to be a guy that helps this team in that area. I found it Interesting. That weird essentially phase out of Tyler Kroft last year was just phased out. And now he's the starter in New York. Yeah, person on Facebook says anyone wonder what's going on behind Jeremy, that was cell cells still here? He's just he's doing stuff. Yeah. I think we also had some radio. We had some equipment stuff. Some equipment is happening. We had the dog. Come in already. The dog that goes on. Uh oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, There's a lot going on up here. Good looking staring already. Dog for already played. Fetch it on the field for a little bit. Now we've got the drum corps out there the drum line out there all the stuff's coming back. You know all the stuff that vibes divide that. What? We've all grown to love. Justin in east Aurora. We've got time for more calls, Justin. Good morning. You're on Buffalo Bills Game day. Good morning, Jeremy. And how are you? Fantastic. That's great. So I grew up in western New York lived in East and first from my 1st 10 years, Clarence for the next 10 years, and my family moved to Pittsburgh and considering how big this game is, Since there were no fans in any regular season games last year, had to be here for Steelers Stills for the home opener. This is definitely the best build team..

"And they couldn't go back and forth they couldn't interact with anyone from the outside world for months. Major league baseball played gains without fans in completely empty stadiums and there were rigorous testing protocols like the nfl where players coaches and staff were tested daily. So all these sports leagues have been able to do a lot of things that we struggled to do in broader society. Because well we all do not have the level of resources or funds writing on our success. But now we're watching leaves grapple with the vaccination problem and they're facing the same roadblocks as the rest of society. They cannot run their businesses safely unless they get everyone vaccinated and they cannot get everyone vaccinated because some unknown number of people do not want to get vaccinated now at one level. I kind of understand this. I mean if. I really will myself to try to put myself in the shoes of some of these athletes athletes of course very in touch with and connected to their bodies that very concerned about what they put in them. And so then. I can see why they might be reticent about the vaccine but i gotta say at the same time. These are people. We're taking all kinds of drugs. Medical interventions all the time pain medications some other kinds of treatments also. These athletes entire livelihoods depend on their physical performance and not getting a case of debilitating cova that could for example significantly reduce their lung capacity. This is not a thought experiment. We a bunch of athletes struggling with the effects of covert. After they got it. Like you want moncada twenty-six-year-old third baseman for the chicago white sox who struggled to run the basis without getting winded after contracting covert last summer or jason tatum one of the brightest stars in the nba twenty-three-year-old forward on the boston celtics tested positive january. He now uses an inhaler before games. Didn't have to do that before 26-year-old. Tommy sweeney tight end on the buffalo bills developed a heart condition linked to vid that took him out of the game for months. This is a real actual risk. That athletes are running not just to their health but again to their livelihood and yet they remain a lot of skeptics even with all the money in the world steak an expert doctors at their disposal and access to all of the best information. I mean literally get this month. The washington football team brought in expert and immunologist who was literally part of the team that helped develop the moderna vaccine to just one on one provide players with information about the vaccines answer. Any questions might.

"Always Tough to parse because you want to say the offense struggled. And I would say sure if you want to turn it that way, And I wrote about that often struggle. There's no doubt, Josh. I mean, he didn't think his first six passes. I don't know if he completed one. To be honest with you. One was a drop. You know, there was a miscommunication. There was another drop later after he had a couple completions Emmanuel Sanders and him hit Sanders had a really bad drop. But he also had a miscommunication with Josh. The ball fell incomplete, but I give a lot of credit to the defense to Josh through an interception, but he probably would have thrown in a normal circumstance. Was offsides. Actually, by the defense. He was flushed out of the pocket. He threw the ball. Levi Wallace made a nice play on it, but that was it was kind of the way the day was going for the defense. Other than the offside like they were just getting their hands on football. They did a great job. I wrote about a bunch of pass breakups. They were flying around the field, guys, I Really one thing that I've taken away from the three OTAs. We were there and then the two mini camps is And Matt Milano kind of spoke about this at a zoom call yesterday. They're just they're flying there. It's now about We're ready to go. We know the defense. Let's go. I think to me this defense has an internal mission to get back to where they were. That last year was not the kind of year they wanted. And I will tell you that they looked like they were They look to me like they can play a regular season game next week. Yeah, right. He was talking about the back seven right and how long they've basically been together. What going into 1/4 year? Right, But he also like I asked him. What's the difference between the continuity Now versus like when you came in the league and you had so many new guys? And he said, Essentially, he's like, you know, there's no more like learning as we go here. We're ready. We know what we're doing is now really about amping it up and dialing it up and, you know, just adding on to what we can do, and everybody can fly around and and that's and that's the way I turned it. They were. They were flying around yesterday. That was everybody. Everybody was getting involved. Um Joe Giles Harris, a linebacker. He had interception mark Well, Lee had a great play on like a really good read where he He saw exactly what's happening. It got to the ball in time. Micah Hyde could have absolutely just destroyed a running back coming out of the backfield. Busy timed it up so perfectly, but there's no hitting right now. And the defense knew it. And they were. They were going crazy on the sidelines about it because he was right there. Like that was the kind of day it was, What again And whenever we talk to you about OTAs, even mandatory minicamp practices. I hope everybody else we always should. You know, whatever. It's a practice in the spring. Let's not go too crazy, but What do you see from Rousseau and bash him? Really impressive. It's so hard right now again. Look. Remember who's been we've had. We've had camp stars, right? Um, days Lewis comes to mind like, Oh, my God, this guy he's amazing. Then the pads come on, and he and he disappears. I remember that guy. I don't know if that's going to happen with Russo or Basham, but I'll tell you this in this setting when they are just in shorts and a helmet. Greg Russo really does stand out. His length is noticeable in his athleticism in this particular setting is noticeable again. Once you get pads on, does that go away a little bit? You know, he's not gonna It's not gonna be the same. Um, you know the offense. We always say this. The defense is ahead of the offense this time of year because the defense really they can afford to make a mistake and just go to the ball. The offense. You make one mistake this time of year. You know, it's going to show up a little bit more, so the defense is usually ahead of the offense in that regard. But they but they both been very impressive. And I would say This is not a knock on bashing at all. I've noticed Russo more, but I think both rookies have really stood out. And if these guys Continue on their path from what I've seen this offseason. Think these could be to really, really solid pick for the Buffalo bills, and here's the difference they were. There was no rookie minicamp slash there's no th There's no training, no preseason. This is the first time I've seen rookies on the field in two years in the off season, so like as opposed to we didn't see a Japanese. So we didn't see Zack Moss until training camp last year. Like getting a look at these guys. They're they're fitting in, and this is a very, very good thing for them to be a part of this right now. Anybody. I know your your articles a lot about defense. There were some stuff on offense. I'll get to the running backs and I want to bring up but anybody stand out not necessarily just yesterday because you wrote about Travis Key. So who stood out on offense in the Times that the media has been able to observe practice? I'm gonna say true whiskey. I think Mr Bisky had a really solid off season for the days we were out there. Um, he to me looks very comfortable. Looks like he knows the offense. I think the biggest thing I took away from him, though, is you know he's not Josh Shelley doesn't have that rocket arm. He's not The athlete, Josh Allen is always a good enough athlete. But what really impressed me about Travis Keys? He just seems patient. He seems like he waits. He doesn't. He's not trying to rush anything yesterday. I thought specifically like he There's a lot of lot of bodies around him again. You know, they can't. You can't get hit right. Does that matter for quarterback probably does in this particular situation. But it just seems like there's there's. There's a muddy pocket. If you will, and and he's calm, he steps up. He makes the right read. He hits the open guy. It just seems like it's time after time. This seems to be happening. And and I think You know? To me when you go out and watch a new quarterback in an offseason when he just comes to a team, there's an adjustment period. I haven't seen that with him like I just I've been really impressed with mention again. It's not. He's not blowing your way. He's making the right calls. She's making the right reads. He's making the right throws. He's and he's He's. His timing is good. Everything just seems like he's been in this offense. He knows what he's doing and give credit to Bill's coaching for that for him to come here. And I've been impressed with him. Um You know the last couple of days and you guys are probably read Isaiah. Hodgins has stood out since he's especially since he's gone away from the Red jersey. He had a White jersey on the last couple of days. He shed the Red Jersey the noncontact jersey. He looks good again. No, we'll see. And I'll bring up Dez Lewis again. And I don't mean to pick on days, but I remember a couple years in a row. Oh, my God. This guy looks great. And then the pads come on, And you know what's gonna happen. When that happens, we'll see. But I think I say Hodgins is going to make a pusher to make this roster. I want to ask you about the tight ends a couple guys at tight end actually let me start with Tommy Sweeney, who, of course, is coming back from the health scared that he had with the Covid last year. And I remember sound when he first showed up and going really going into last season two. I was like, Well, you know with Syria were some nice things to see some some nice skills in his overall set, if you will, when he first came in with Knox, and then of course, there was, you know, no chance to see what he could possibly do last season. What can you check? Kind of? Give me your thoughts on potentially what's there and what might be there with Tommy Sweeney? He has great hands..

"Well, they had a worst year. And I mean, they're the worst year in the National Hockey League this year, so and I don't think he's all you know. I don't think he jumped up from his couch and do a little dance when the Sabres one that won the first pick, and, uh, you know, I don't think he's sitting all right. Yeah, just pumping his arm. And you know, all fired up that the Sabres here and you get a decent draft pick here. You know, I'd be kind of surprised if he was so Um, but you know what could happen here, though? What if he got traded to a team like Colorado? You know, a Stanley Cup contending team you know, after the season were to be over He might back off his surgery thing. Then he might say, I'm gonna seem that could win the Stanley Cup here. What do you guys want me to do? Yeah, I think I'll listen to their doctors. If they don't want me to get to surgery. I'm hip. I'm fine. I'll just You know, I'll do what they say. Where he You know, in this situation. He's like Uh, This is what I want, and I really don't care what you want, you know, type of a thing, so he could change his mind depending out if he got traded to a team that is very close to winning a Stanley Cup. You know, Paul, the way you just laid that out and again, I want to be clear. Like you know, we're this is worth a lot of it. It's speculative here. Um, but it almost it almost reads Like what? You're what you're saying here. Everything that we've talked about in this 1st 20 minutes. So it sounds like a way of effectively. Having a no move clause before you have no move clause right like if you if you want to trade me to a place that I want to go, I'll cooperate medically with them or with you. Maybe. But if you want to trade me to Calgary, or, you know, whatever some outpost Um, you know someplace that I don't want to go there. Well, then what I want Right. Right. Then I'm gonna I'm going to keep I'm going to be steadfast in my, you know, I want this surgery. I want this surgery. I mean that. Why it really is, man. It is. It is. It is tangled. We, um let's see 80305 fifties the number we've got Mike on the line. Who's got an idea for for a trade for Eichel? So we'll get that in here. Right now, Mike. Hi. You're on w g R. Thanks for calling. You guys are you? Um What do you guys think of, you know, I'm Going to get rid of Eichel. I'd love to get a couple couple, you know, an established player and somebody whose job was an up and comer. What about Minnesota? What do you think about Kevin Fiala and Marco Rossi? I think I honestly think the saber should have drafted Rossi last year over Quinn. He you know, he had said a tremendous junior season. He's fast. He's the center. Um, you could plug right in. Hopefully, next year if you have to coming off of the cold, the situation Fiala 24 years old been a solid 20 to 25 goals work. Young, good fast. I think those two guys that fit it really well and Help the team. And now he end in the future. I'll start with that. I I don't I would say that's not enough. I think if you're if you're it might be a start if you're talking to Minnesota, but I I would say I don't know, Bulldog. I would say that wouldn't be close to be enough, wouldn't you? Right? Yeah. I mean, I like both of those players. But, Rossi, we you know you're you're banking on him becoming, you know a top six cent Erman, which you know, I think you can be optimistic about that. But until you know, plus he's coming off a year, completely lost in washed away by covid. He he got hit very hard. Sounds very similar Myocardial is very similar to the bills tight end Tommy Sweeney. Um, you know, he's recovering and the I read Bill Garrin, their GM talking about he's you know, he's in great health, and he's ready to go and all that so good, But he had an entire year off of hockey basically. Um, so that that would alarm me, But, yeah, I think you need to. You need to find your way to another prospect and some draft picks, probably, but like as far as like the names there. It's a good, Paul. You said it right. I think it's a good start like so thanks a lot for the call. Appreciate it. We'll have that, as are getting connected with our fans. This segment, which is brought to you by Bond, Shannon and King, a full service. Buffalo law firm. Paul you. You're going to sit tight, right? You're hanging with us for for a while here, right? Yeah. All right. Good. Whatever you need, I'm alright. Good gala Friday to with your finger. Social Friday. Yeah. I'll probably watch some hockey later and tomorrow. I got some plants. If you want to work on Saturday, I would have probably a little more things to do. But today I'm Paul, I I don't I don't I don't. I don't have to work on Saturday, having to see if there's a bar opening down near Angola. My favorite band hit and run is going to be out there so And Dunleavy thinks might join me after the bison scheme and get the lawn chairs out and enjoy some music. That sounds great. That sounds real nice. I got a nice text message from Dan just a little while ago before you came out. Actually, it was nice to hear from him so Good deal. Make sure you tell him I said hello, although I certainly just did that on the radio and via text message earlier, So it's one of those things you just say, because it seems like something to say, to end the conversation. I really should have just said Let's take a break. Paul sit tight. We'll squeeze in some more calls. We've got a lot to get to the draft lottery. Joe has a game for us. I think at six o'clock Paul by the Yes, I do play to be a Joe's game, so not guessing NBA players or soccer players will probably be okay. Probably be some NBA, but you have a choice. You don't have to ask for the NBA. I'll throw myself on that grenade unless we're talking about the Buffalo Braves or something like that. I might be able to hang with that. This this edition of this game will not include the NBA. So Paul safe, All right. Look at that. Customized it for you. Paul. Joe Joe is the best. Let's take a time out. Paul Hamilton is along with me. My trip has the day off. Find the bull balling with sneaky Joe. Debbie Yossi and this is W. G. R. Stay connected to our shows.

"More of a clear number on what they're dealing with next year and where they can go where they can plan and then let's remember after next year 208 million is the salary cap ceiling. Toran 8.2. Or 200.5. Whatever it was, I don't remember. But after that the new TV money kicks in. I think that we're looking at it, even a real big jump and the salary cap so this could be all really a prelude. You kind of set themselves up over the next two off seasons. We've talked about this many times. But as off today, how much do you like the idea of Earth's Do the bills. And how much do you think? How much you know? Wait. Do you think the rumors Carrie in this way? I think a lot of people have assumed that the bills would want him, But you know, it wouldn't want to pay him what his contract currently says. Um, I don't know. I'm not like all in. Oh, my gosh. Give me second. I like Dawson knocks a lot Do I think Zach Ertz would help this team? Of course. Yeah, I think he's a good player. He's also on the wrong side. If you will of 30, you know, it's not a young player, necessarily, He said some injuries. I always get scared off about that salary. You know, I just don't think the bills should be absorbing an $8 million salary for This player, you know, they could get him at a lower rate. I don't know what's what $45 million something like that. Maybe that's ah, lot more doable. You still have No knocks on his rookie contract. I think that's something that could help you. They to me. They have a good tight end room. It's not great. It's good. I think they have players there. They can. Be Cem Bey match ups like Dawson knocks even Jacob Hollister can fit in. I think they like Tommy Sweeney and Nate Becker. Reggie Gilliam converted. So you know, I think they had a little bit of depth there. Does this put him if they were to get hurt, he would Think become number one. But see even me saying like I think he would be. That's what makes me question like How much? How much of an upgrade is he? Really of Dawson knocks at this point Now? Maybe some people think I'm crazy and say, Oh, my God. He's an amazing upgraded. Awesome Knox. I don't think so. I think Dawson Knox has been a bit inconsistent. I think he's a young player who can provide you, you know a real good matchup situation at times. Out sail the thing I like most of I I agree with all that, like, I don't want in fact, right right from the first conversation we ever had about Zach Ertz. I was fine with Brandon being not rushing into it. Like, you know, Phil, enough can say all they want. They're not just going to release this player, the hell bent on getting a trade done, but they need cap room to like They've got an urgency on their end to make something happen. And if the bills wanna play chicken in that way, so to speak, and wait to see if the player gets released, so they consign him for five million bucks. Instead of paying the eight. I would I fully support that, and that sort of lends itself to a lack of urgency that I feel about about the player. I think he could be someone that could help them more flexibility formation wise if you got Ertz and knocks On the field of same time in 12. Personnel like that, to me is an upgrade over what you've had in the past. Um so I like that, But I don't at his age and coming off the injury situation. I wouldn't want to just inherit that contract. So I'm not really in favor of a trade at this point, I think if you can get this player on the market, um if he gets released if they can't find a trade partner, fine, If not, you know, I guess I'm willing to walk away from it. Yeah, I'm with you there, and I do wonder about you know, the player has a say here if he does get released, Um you know, he might even have a say in you know when I was first back in March Was when all this started happening where the first reports were about, You know, maybe there's maybe the bills or instant Zach Ertz and trading for him right around free agency. And you know, he has one year left on his deal. Essentially, it's I think it's avoidable years, but one year left on his deal. So if the Eagles are going to trade him and his $8.5 million salary to the bills to me, I always felt guys The Bills would say, Look, we want to trade for you. What we have to rework a deal here to lower that cap, so maybe we consign it to, you know a couple more years or whatever. And maybe it doesn't want to do that. Maybe he wants to maintain his salary. Okay, so then you get to the face two of this. All right? Well, there was wait for you to release well now if he's released Now he has more of a say in where he goes and how much money he's gonna make. So you know, that's the other part of the equation. I don't think people really have considered a lot here, which is Zach Ertz has a say now. The only way he doesn't have to say is that the Eagles just say Well, heck with it. The bills want you were trading you, But like I said, I don't think the bills are interested in trading him at $8.5 million that they would have toe take on to me a trade for the bills to do it. Would almost have to come with some sort of review of the contract. It would seem that the bills have company in that opinion, because right he has been traded anywhere else and pretty much everybody I think has thought he would be off that roster. At some point and maybe still thinks that so despite what the.

"We're asking you Brandon Beans, comments to the media yesterday change your thoughts on the approach the bills might take in the draft next week. We go to Tim in arcade who has been waiting patiently to him what he had for us here on one bills live yesterday and I get out of it. The past go up, just slightly toned down. President was there and what it would take to move up. And I was just one of you guys. How much would it take to move up to get a guy like Parsons? Then if he wasn't able to get Parsons I love Stephen Collins and Mark too. And I don't know he would be. It's in moving up it all he had to to get any of those guys. Yeah, Here's what you're looking at. If you're if you want to move up to Let's say you just want to move up to number 25 from 30. You have to give up 1/4 round pick to do that with a value chart. Which the bills don't have. So you you're right. So the bills would have to and even two thirds wouldn't even get two thirds would not even get in the ballpark. Thirds. You mean 252 fives? Yeah. Two fives. They would You know that 1 61 pick in the 1 74 pick wouldn't they'd laugh at you. So if you want to move up five spots you need to give him 1/4 round four that they door next year. And that's That you'd switch picks. You get the 25th pick they'd get your 30th pick you give them your fourth round pick with the Bills can't because they don't have one. And that one movie up five spots 1/4 round pick, So that's kind of where you're at it. The bills don't have 1/4 round pick that's kind of a valuable pick. You give a third round pick If you're willing to give up your third round pick from 30, you can get all the way to 20. 3 23 or 24. So if you trade your you better really love that guy. If you're doing trade your first in your third round pick this year to take a guy at 22 23 24. You. You better really liked it, and I hate to tell him but I would not even Dream about Michael Parsons because he's gonna be off the board in the top 15 picks, so he's not even going to come close to the bills getting a sniff of him. David Collins. While I think the chances better I think he's too much of an athletic anomaly toe last all the way to pick 30. Super instinctive player. Um, can rush off the edge. 65 to 60 runs a 469. I mean, It's just He's an athletic anomaly, and those guys do not last two pick 30 and draft so it's gonna be hard bills. Fans are not used to this. They're not used to waiting through all hours of the night for the bills to pick this late in the draft, but If there's a good reason why they're picking this late, they're a good football team. You just gotta have to be more patient than you're used to being because they're not picking a 10, 12 or 15 anymore. It is just so expensive. And it cost you so much draft capital to move up. Even you can't even get into the bills won't even be able to get into the top 20 this year. Unless they have a player they're willing to part with, which is a possibility. You could see what about did you know you throw in a guy like Isaiah Hodgins or even Isiah Mackenzie? Or one of these other guys would probably be a regatta rookie contract like Isaiah Hodgins. From last year or even a guy like Tommy Sweeney, who we've heard is going to be healthy and all that I give it a big tight end and a wide receiver, those kind of players on their rookie deals, you could say OK. Will put will throw these two guys in with a pick. But that's what you're talking about the bills having to do because they do not have the draft capital to get anywhere into or near the top. 20. They just can't do it. They don't sell. It'll take a lot. They don't have enough picks this year talking future draft choices to get up there and high don't think they do hire future draft choices, So it's really impossible. So you know, you can say what you want about Kyle pits and And you know, Simmons and or whatever all these guys You're just not gonna be able to jump that high to get him But take heart. You're drafting 30 because you got a really good roster, and it's gonna be hard for these guys to make the club and anybody you get that's a contributor at 30 is gonna be gravy to me. So at least has to me. Um, but they're gonna you know, they're gonna be searching. They're gonna get other player. No question about it. A couple of they're pretty good. At least three really good players out of this draft of the top. And the rest of them will be maybe you know when they get to the fifth to fifth round picks in the sixth round pick If they get any contributions from those three picks this year gravy it is absolutely a cherry on the cake of the draft for one team to another team in North China. Wanda, What do you have for us? You're on one bills live. Pretty much anything you've been talking about. I don't think they're gonna move up in the first more than a couple slots at the very most. But I think the second is open if they include a pic from next year, possibly a second to get to the top of this year sex Value is somewhere around 30 to 38. And I think maybe it's worth going after it. He's going to get your perspective on that. You mean from you get a second wants to move up in round two to between 35 38. Oh, I got you from where they are at 61. Now that is another giant leap. I mean that I know it's round two, and the cost isn't a steep, but it's still pretty sizable, um It's not an easy move. And you better really love that guy. If you're going up that far to do it, because you're probably mortgaging the rest of your draft this year, and it will, if not a decent pick next year to do it. It will cost you to mid round picks next year, Right in the meat of the rain before you wish you had. To force you. She had two fours instead of two fives of this year. I would be an enormous difference in talent wise. Forget about trading in and out of it. This draft has got some guys who didn't gonna go between 23 and four rounds of this draft. So I'm with you if you could trade out of the 30 spot. Get a 38 spot..

"Exactly ideal, either. So the NFL is going to continue to try and do what it has done for the majority of this year, and that is just shuffle things around. Just move the schedule. And I didn't know if they could. Really because Of the Ravens playing on Thursday. But I was stupidly forgot They could just move that their their next game on and that's what they did because they're talking about you know them. These two teams playing an extra week at the end of the season after the regular season was over. Instead. The game that was originally scheduled for Thanksgiving. Was moved to Sunday and then it was subsequently moved to Tuesday. And then the following game that was going to be played on Thursday, has been moved to Monday. And you gotta hope if you're the NFL, That's all the moving that you have to do. But I think they've done the right thing there. I mean, I know the Steelers want to play and everything, but there's been multiple positive out tests with the Ravens. Um, you know, every day. They're getting something back, so I don't think it was safe or wise. To have those teams play each other and and allow that further spread allow it to go beyond one team. At least 12 Ravens players have tested positive, including Lamar Jackson, as I said. Regard this Robert Griffin, the third is going to start against Pittsburgh. Which will be interesting to see NRG three. Remember RG three the beginning of his career. It was You know hell of a rookie. And then he got he got injured. His leg got destroyed and you played in that playoff game despite his leg being like basically broken in half during that game. And since then hasn't quite been the same player and he got to Baltimore and you know, he's been mostly a backup. In his time there. He and 2019. He threw 38 passes, so he actually got some reps in and in 2019. And seven games. Played during the course of that season, but it'll be interesting to see where he's at. At this point time he's throwing two passes. Thus far this year. For nine yards, one of two for nine yards. Advantage to get a pick off reception and in those two passes, But I'm curious to see where RG three is at this moment, but the NFL's also had that tea. Oh, shut down, you know facilities. They closed the team facilities for Monday and Tuesday. I think they're there. Sort of aware that the numbers across the board are very bad right now, and they have a situation with one of their teams right now and that you also have the holidays going on and Um, you know, so therefore they don't wanna have to keep moving and shuffling and they don't wanna have anything worse happened so the team facilities will be closed to all in person activities Monday and Tuesday. They're just trying to keep keep this down so they can keep on going. I mean, we've got it. Like I said, I'm you know, I'm pleasantly surprised by How basically uninterrupted the NFL season has been not and not just uninterrupted, but mostly safe, right? Like mostly, um You're gonna have look, if things are if activities are proceeding, you're going to have positive tests. That's an unfortunate reality. And with that comes, um you know, Cem Cem risk too. I mean, I I Luckily. Fortunately, the vast majority of Young, healthy people seem to be okay. But we still don't know the long term effects or any lingering effects. And then you have a situation like what happened to the bills tight end who may have developed you know that that heart condition As a result of of covert had to take the rest of the season off my Oh kite, Chiyo darted Chiyo Dart. I don't know how to pronounce it. But there's a A, um You know, health related issue. That comes up, um in the cardiovascular system. Because of We're likely because of, um Hold it. So I mean, there is some risk involved. That's why, um, Tommy Sweeney was his name bills tight, and, uh, there's some risk involved. That's why you have guys opting out before the season. Even if for the most part, you know the demographic of the NFL. Hopefully, and should be mostly okay. But then again, you know it's not even You know, it's not even about your personal risk, either that that's a guess A misnomer. It's it's It would be one thing if it's I make said decision to put my own health at risk to a certain degree, but It's everybody that you can in the contact with and then everybody that they come into contact with, and not only can that mean spread to somebody who is more vulnerable, but it can. Also in a more trivial manner means spread within a team right spread within our organization spread to another organization. And then, um, The league. Having trouble functioning, and I don't think anybody out there once the NFL To shut down at this point. I think we're beyond to be honest shutdowns barring something catastrophic. I think you know that, for better or worse. That bridge has been.

"You know you got to remember is the leak that won't publicize what's happening. We've got a running back in jacksonville. Who has not spent two stints on the is still in hospital with this stuff on thomas. Meaning we tighten for the bills. It'd be the remainder of the season. Ever cardiologists discovered his myocarditis. A condition connected to covid nineteen and make some intellectual peace with nfl players collectively bargaining the auspices under which they will continually in explicitly. In-incredibly risks their health. I feel very bad for tommy. Swing hoping it's much better. I know get the best possible. I know he will. Then it's been fucking legally negotiated. Tim brain the world telling me while the kids wanna play kids. Want to play mike. Clearly there in charge heavy to this other young strong and it doesn't worry about. Tommy sweeney is an nfl football player. Did i don't know if you heard most of those college won't go pro and football so we're endangering the children to make money for people who don't care if they get sick. I just wanted to say it out loud. I'm getting clicking. The stories looks like the ravens. Positives are up to five players in four staffers investors. No change in saturday nights game in now when you lose. Players wit points become dangerous. Lavigne's unexperienced or unqualified aren't prepared place in the field. If glazed campbell can't play on for thirteen with a calf injury. The ravens will be without three starters in their front seven and they're playing no steelers. Because if you've got an experienced guy near the other guys have to overcompensate which puts him seeing himselves position the injured i asked rhetorically. What are we doing. Why can't we stop in the answered about this money. And i get that i'm being rhetoricla annoying..

"It seemed like it was just there is like thirty five dudes who got drafted who are six five between forty to fifty five run between like four six four eight. I mean, it is just it's crazy. How many good tight ends were drafted right up until Mr. relevant where I get that. He's consistent play see the highlights that guy's big tall and can run. I mean Hopkinson was your number one rated tight end time wasn't as kind of like the draft of tight ends. If you're like everybody got one it was tight ends. But also some of the a lot of these guys and everyone wants a lump them into okay? He's a tight end, technically. A lot of these guys are the same player like the tight ends and wide receivers that the move tight ends. And the big wide receivers. What's the difference? What's the difference between JJ or Sega Whiteside who went to Philadelphia? And you know, it's going to be utilized in the slot at sometimes definitely utilized for his ability in the in the red zone is I think the best box out player in red red zone type player. What's the difference between him? And and you know, like a j Sternberg it's what twenty pounds an inch. It's just like there are so many big receivers miles boykin. Yes, he's he's a leaner. But he can go down the line. I mean, there are eight or nine wide receivers who are big wide receivers who went into this year's draft who you're basically using a tight end. So I think I think what we saw two was teams getting really nervous about. How are we going to match up? The safeties came screaming off the board and was. Second or third round where it was just like db db load of them. Yeah. I think it was the second round. Whereas all these corners and safeties coming off the board because teams are like how are we going to match up moving forward. And the one thing too is with you look at the the league with Todd says we've talked about Kris with tight ends. They're not really tight ends. I talked to a GM about this. And he said, you know, we think we need to wide receiver so desperate. We have tight end tight ends are like receivers that we we flex them out. So you can't really always evaluate the team and say, they don't have enough wideouts. They have tight end tight end fortified. So and if you want to call I call them, basically glorified wide receivers. Anyway. So that's what this league's become are these combo guys. We should call hybrids hybrids now as I call them receiving entities as the word, I use receiving entities. That's what some of these guys are. I was struck by though because I had it circle that Tommy Sweeney in the two hundred and twenty eighth pig. Loves him to Buffalo Bills. And Todd of mill goes, he might have you might have some of the best hands in this entire dropping to twenty eight which I just wrote down there's thirty these Josh Allen is a lane thrower. He's Randy Johnson. That's who I compare them to in baseball. Okay. So you gotta you gotta have a guy who is able to adjust and be able to have great hand eye coordination. And that's what Tommy Sweeney has. You may lumber a bit. But his hands are as good as anybody's sorta intermediate. He's he's going to be there for it. He's going to block for you. And he's he's a throwback. He's one of the highest character football loving dudes in the nineteen seventies and eighties. He probably would have been a second or third round pick. How do you like to be in buffalo where you got Josh Allen entire Jackson thrown eighty five mile an hour screen passes to have at least the backup is not receive yourself to adjust to a guy much of an arm. So not catching these lollipops into getting a one hundred mile an hour. Fastball thrown at me just got to put your hands in ice cold water after practice every hey, let's let's run through the quarterback situations here real quick. Just give it, you know, kind of in terms of how how well you love me on the street. You got to watch the show because you got to watch the touchscreen dynamo. I'm the touch touchscreen dynamo trying to get into your I've seen I've. Legends. I hugged him. I hugged him for the first time in my life. Hogged me I will. I don't know what got tired. You're just falling. And it was like you're the vet. I'm the I'm the pop, but I've never been more proud of you in my life this long twelve year thirteen years. I mean, I I used to box him out and make you don't get your dirty filthy hands off that touchscreen today. He walked over and he worked at like magician. No, that's a lot. I've seen I've seen people talk about Todd like this guy should be on CNN on election night. You know, zooming in on some county in North Dakota. Hey, co credit when he's up at the Telestrator. What what do we call it the touchscreen? That's. Straight. I'm five yards awful. I'm five yards away from the touchscreen. What he's doing? I just let them master work his magic. But today this touchscreen was different today. Hey, Chris, you loved it. It had to do was touched a quarterback move up. And he jumped in jumped into a spot of. He like. Tightrope oofta. Unbelievable to our special by the time you hear this. But they're running it. They're running between now. Quarterback. Hey, run believe got to watch. You know, how they did it? Now, they asked Evan my seventeen month old to come over from ESPN daycare across the street. And if he was able to do it. Oh, yeah. Then they figured Meltzer or so the point of this was the point of this was let's run through these quarterbacks. Well, they asked this question, you ready long term success who's gonna have the most long term success. And I said drew lock might in Denver because I just there's enough around him HBO flacco. Okay. I don't think Joe flacco is a good quarterback right after that. I went with Tyler Marie. And then after that I went with Super Bowl winning. Yes. Would you Wayne? Dwayne Haskins three thanking there'd be back on track. Cincinnati. And then suddenly Finley was four. Haskins to Washington three in the four five to the patriot. Right. I just stay true to my board. And then you bloom, so go ahead. Sorry. The mind but Murray Haskins, right? Who's three lock Jones then into rear Jones wasn't one. He wasn't. That was like that was that was like Louis telling everybody have a he'll what do you call it, Pat Hilo, Pat, would they call for helicopters. Helipad everybody and a helicopter don't Louis with you the love that we're getting older plane today Schefter Lewis is telling them about we're going to hop random. I fully copter. My heel adamant. It crushed. You'll love. Convinced Schefter helicopter. Louis reading portraying me as something I'm certainly not. But he convinced canoe. Yeah. Kayak canoe kayak schefters on the phone to Lee and Seth and he's like, hey guy for says chopper, I wanna do. His face. It was priceless. Wow. I don't even know where we are. But let's famous after the draft podcast or anything. But here's the thing. Both of you, obviously didn't mention the number six pick in the draft. Have you do you think any differently than you did on draft night? We're on this podcast last week Kuyper who's been keen. Daniel Jones is not as bad as you think say, I can't get my head around the idea that he goes at six now they've got him out there working PR two teams would have got him before we could get him at seventeen Mel the feel any differently about that pick. I said all along that when we got closer you can't lose him. And we talked about trading up. Is there a trade grooten drilled into my head ever? You can't just trade up unless there's a partner and the Redskins at fifteen or divisional rival. So they really believe they had to believe this at Daniel Jones as a franchise quarterback. Okay. That they can't live without because if you're seventeen and you wait you're saying here like drew lock. They could live without trulock lost your lock. So after lock hits. It's not a genius move. It's just another teams pass them when they got him. Just like when Russell Wilson fell the Seattle and credit for taking them thirty one other teams didn't but it wasn't like they took him in the first round. So again with with this situation here. I don't know. I think I just think they've gentleman felt like I cannot risk not having Daniel Jones partis football team moving forward. And the only way I can guarantee that is taken at six seventeen would have been too risky. And if I don't care if you like him, you don't like what the more fans that hate them. More chance you be successful. Remember when Ricky Williams over over Donovan McNabb. Williams. Everybody's booing. Sometimes fans are wrong. Sometimes I remember Mike quick when it was very disappointed that Tuttle over forehead. We're going way back on that. So he's got to be fifty and above understand what I'm saying here. That's not what we're dealing with. But sometimes, but I always referred to the seventies. What can you do? But the answer your question, Chris, I look back on it. I don't have a problem with. Hey, todd. Here's the follow up question. Daniel Jones in two thousand nineteen. Sorry. I became out of my ear. And I went to get hit my top your hand. I the top of my hand on this thing. I got a podcast is perfectly. Cast suffered a lot of injuries. Let me tell you. Does Daniel Jones. Start a football game for the New York. Football giants in two thousand nineteen I could probably post this in at one and a half Vegas. I dunno where where Joe I mean, probably just because of injury. But not as Eli is made out of rubber true. I mean, listen, I don't know the real answer that you're looking for is. I don't think he's a good starting quarterback. I said. You said. Solid starting quarterback. I can average like I'm not taking solid. He just got to put that on tape tape, saying solid. Okay. Career back up solid starting quarterback. Which is what you take in the second third round. So if you don't hate the guy, he was the second, man. He's. He's tough. You can run fast. It's awesome. I just think he's slow processing slow moving in the pocket slow delivering and. Hey, and I told you I said, I don't know what kind of quarterback we none of us know, we kind of quarterback. These guys are going to be I say, it was one of the first round and and the giants reliable. That's all I said, and I convinced you gotta give me credit for this. We'd give it credit for nothing except banging on my Glenn just said how you're good at the touchscreen players. I'm talking about things that matter with the player evaluations. I told him he was going to get he was going to spite me, I victim and spiteful, and you are admittedly our quest. No question. Chris listen, this our listeners. I hope they understand what I deal with. He was going to keep the annual Jones out of his first round. Mock is final one just because which by the way, I got nine right? He got seven because I got eight okay. Then I got eight and I I. The first victory and do a lap. All right. The light is I talked to put him in there. Don't have you listened to bait would have been you'd have been in trouble because you had Jones in the second round. We would have been even saved you. Okay. So there you go put him in a second. He was in the first round. And you know, you weren't you weren't I said put him in the first round tied, please. I was so close you have no idea, and I find that. It's like, oh, man. All right..

"But at number five, I'll go cayden Smith Stanford. Yeah. They have a great history of producing tight ends for the NFL David Schall does he's not nearly as dynamic Doria. Some of the other top rated tight end speed is going to work the combine. He will be one the players maybe the day before they work out. We'll say who needs to run well to move up a round or two from where they're projected Tate and Smith is a second round pick me runs. Well, he's a third or fourth round pick. If he doesn't he's got that great catch radius. He can make the tough grab in traffic. It takes hits. He can move the power after he catches the football. I carries defenders for two three yards. But the speed factor will be critical for Stanford's Cade and Smith advise in at number five. All right. Cadence miss Stanford number five on the Mel kiper big board of tight ends for the draft. Who's number four four is a senior. And he's the only senior in this group as Tommy Sweeney from Boston College, six four and a half two hundred and fifty five Pounder, he's not the vertical threat that some of the other tight ends. I'll get to our. But he compensates with the ability to excel in all the other aspects he'll block he's kind of the traditional throwback tied in he will block very hard nose. The Jack Doyle type with India. But a kid who I think can be a guy who can really be a nice piece of the equation on offense because he'll catch the football. He's very consistent in terms of hands. And they'll block so help the running game as well. He's not going to be a flex guy. He will be a traditional in line tight end. Number three. Is you reference the Iowa Hawkeyes, and you would have thought Dari back before the season began this player would be number one because you know, go back till two years ago. He was average number seventeen yards. A catch eleven touchdowns. Tremendous athlete. Great size match up nightmare that will be Noah fan. No offense back in August. You said it would be number one. There's not much separating one in three and two and three. But fans right now in it three big at six five to forty. He's more of the flex tight end. You saw what Jared cook did who the Oakland Raiders flexing out wide as a wide out type? That's what Noah Fant will do big time weapon, potentially. I would have liked to seen seven eight nine ten targets a game. He didn't. Get that. Because another guy kind of, you know, created more of a situation to get on the field and be a big time. Go option, we'll get to him in a minute. But in the red zone, I'll tell you what just match up nightmare. He should be that in the NFL Noah fan Iowa. And at number three. All right, so cadence Smith five out of Stanford BC's Tommy Sweeney at four was Noah fan three marching down. The big board of tight end smell, man. How about number two? Yeah. And I'll go to fan is a second round pick right now. Then fans J remarkable standout at terms of the pro days combines his numbers should be through. So maybe six into late. I but I'll say conservatively right now second round for Noah fan. I'm gonna say late. I early second for my number two guy. And it's very little his great is the same as fan. So it's kind of you know, two and two a with fan and Irv Smith junior from Alabama that six three to forty four. We'll get the accurate measurable is at the combine for these underclassmen. We don't have that yet. But I'd say he's another guy can create problems catching the football in the passing game. Terms of matchups. He's. Guy wall. So be more than just a willing. Blocker should be a good solid blocking tight end in the NFL. Great bloodlines with Irv Smith. I like this kid is a late one. Maybe New England. If you want the heir-apparent the gronk you want somebody can step in right away and be a factor. They like Alabama players Bill Belichick does if you look into project them, and you want to get him the first maybe at the end of around one at worst..

"And the difference. I think between him and some of the elite corners that we've seen come out of LSU or any other school. Really? Yeah lockdown. Patrick Peterson was arguably the best player in that draft. I think I had him number one in that draft because he was I can remember him and Julio Jones Mel those battles that they had were epic. Yeah. I mean, he's he's a special guy when you talk about a lockdown guy who was like arguing I had him number one some didn't. But a lot of people. I thought he was the best athlete in the drafty. Just a rare talent. And I don't Grady is that type of player, and I do think in the NFL today. The concern with him will be tackling. And again, just you can't play with ten guys. It is a league of short passes that are extension of the running game kind of taken the place of the running game or other short passes. So instead of handing it off you throw a little little bubble screen. You flip to a guy coming? On a jet sweep or you. But you gotta be able to tackle in space. And I am be physical and take on. I think for greedy. I think that's going to be some question. He's going to have to answer. Once he's in the NFL Mel Cornyn Williams with that's what I was going to say a little stronger, Gerald McCoy. Pretty good play this McCoy was taller. You know? There's six four are they both six four. He's a slip. I looked it up. And I didn't hear a book he'll coy appear taller than me. What's McCoy coming out of Oklahoma to ninety to ninety five? Okay. What's winning going away? He's listening to ninety five. I guess he's I think Cornyn is thicker and stronger at the point of attack. But they both have that. You know, Aaron Donald is a different beast. He's especially the creature. There's nothing like him out there. But he they both have that suddenness where they get into the pads. And then, you know, all of a sudden they've slipped off you they work the edges of a blocker as well. As as a lot of guys. You know, is is the top guys do right? How 'bout and I said this before I'm gonna if you heard I done I've said of the number of Devon white and Dion Jones. Because they're both LSU name both flight of the ball forty times, it'll be comparable Jona Williams has at nasty streak. It's after you. I thought Brandon sheriff because he was a left tackle people thought. Right. Tackle alternately phone and guards. Some people think Joan Williams will be center or a guard. We had talked about center for Jona. Bentley Alabama is even thinking about that for for him. So to be tackle when to stay out there. So I'd say Joanna Williams with brand and sheriff I thought t and I Don t shea Hopkinson. He's a gifted talent. And they'd people. I'm actually at the combine what he does or pro day, but TJ Hunkin Hopkinson, maybe rob gronkowski Todd. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. He is a physical kid, and he's got a lot of he played a lot of swag can get his he can get that strong. He I don't think he's as like in control yet. Yeah. Yeah. And he's got that swag. And I think that attitude that corron Cousy approach. Same just like he he's going to leave everything out there. I mean, I love the dude. Yeah. HA brown. I thought maybe Jarvis Landry. When you talk about a slot guy, who's big and can be physical. So maybe that Tommy Sweeney. I thought maybe Jack Doyle that type of guy. Yeah. Yeah. Maybe Jack Doyle who has had a nice career. Yeah. People didn't think highly of enough coming out thought swinging door, but that that's the marquess Brown. I thought maybe John Brown. Yeah. We're about to Sean Jackson Sean Jackson's ago, when you think he's going to be that that small units smaller guy with tremendous speed..

Jacob is I think it's going to be Damian Harris Damian slid a little bit going back didn't work out perfectly at Naci Harrison yet Josh Jacobs steal the spotlight and can run catch block rate kid. Dr you talked about him last week. We that are running back big board. We will do wide receiver big board today. Darrell Henderson, Memphis. Great player. Great versatility. Devon single Terry. Florida Atlantic very underrated. David Montgomery, Iowa State. I think he could be the fourth fifth running back taken Harris. I think Josh Jacobs becomes the first running back taking it was close all year. But the way he finished the season and his versatility. And his attitude is approach makes Josh Jacobs. The first running back off the board up early with us out west Eric is in California. Eric good morning. What you got? Good morning. I wanted to ask a male about what did he think this? Why why Cuyler Murray continuously like to the Oakland Raiders what does that make? Well, it makes sense for this reason you have to beat Patrick Mahomes, or you're going to be a wild card every year and nine years when John gruden's contracts up a hopes will be thirty two years of age. That's it thirty to ten years to go with the NFL were more. So if you're Jon Gruden you wanna win that division. You've gotta beat Mojo's you a trae points and beat him and outscore him is Derek Carr. The guy to do that is Kyle Murray. This incredible talent member John loved Russell Wilson. He loved the Mahomes. He love Johnny Manziel. But you know, it was going to be right. But he doesn't have a problem with that. I remember I said all week say this little bit. This inch is going to prevent me from taking a great player. You're an idiot. Yeah, I'm taking well as John gonna have that same of he was screaming at me and meetings every year about things I wanna see. Well, he'd get the guy that could be the difference maker or. Stick with their car. And if you take collar Murray for your trading their car, Daryl in Tennessee what you got there. All. A cowboy fan, and I was wondering what are we looking at the tackle? Or maybe safety. Cover to or defense really popping. Is there a wants that? Well, now, I don't think there is in terms of of Warren Sapp type acquired. Let's say, Quinn and Williams and Quentin Williams is that those tackles splits the double team he's going to go in the top two three four got going four hundred a little higher. Jeffrey Simmons Mississippi State could be at Oliver's guide. It's going to be intriguing because if he's two eighty five at the combine they're gonna say Kenny maintain that way, and they won't be to seventy two when the seasons going along. And he's the interesting guy there, I think Ceylan Saunders Colin Sanders from western Illinois is a guy that I like this a third round pick. So I think there's some defensive tackles. But if you're talking about the top part of the draft, the only one you would put up there, ROY Williams and Jeffrey Simmons, and obviously the Cowboys factor in terms of getting those types of players to Florida, and Matt hey, Matt. Hey, Mel just wanted to ask you what you drive. Look like Burma boy Eric Dungy, and how much did not get an invite to the combine really hurt his death. Yeah. You look down the line. And I think you look at the quarterback. He's not in the top ten. So you're thinking late round or free agent. Doesn't mean you can't Romo wasn't drafted. And a lot of other quarterbacks that have played in the NFL. We're late ranters are free agents. So yeah, I think he's a battler. We know what he can do the passing, obviously. And being an all around quarterback something is potentially there with three years two to three years as a late rounder free agent that develop so, yeah, he's not going to be a guy until late day three. I think comes off the board. If that Dorian Mel it has asked Mel your calls your questions for him as the draft draws near to Texas, we go and Brad. Good morning, Brad. Good morning guys. Hey, I wanted to ask for Tyron Smith Cowboys always being banged up a feasible that we could go after to castle for the Dallas Cowboys in the draft or tied in to try to replace. And because I feel like those are two positions of need. The tight ends are going to go. And I think there's five that are going to go pretty I four definitely it'll be. Tice Hopkinson and Noah fan, both from Iowa earth Smith junior Alabama, Tommy Sweeney, Boston College, maybe Cain Smith, Stanford depending upon how he runs at the combine he runs really good. He's a two run slower than expected. He's a four. But I think if you're looking for an offensive tackle down the line a little bit. I think the guy to look at their if you're thinking maybe third round, maybe David Edwards, Wisconsin who did not have a good year. That's why he's going to be a third round pick. Instead of a first round pick. We all thought I star. It's gonna happen. I was surprised he came out. But Wisconsin has a history of producing linemen Edwards. A former us about an offensive tight end quarterback. They becomes an offensive tackle. He's still developing. I think he's a kind of guy like I say in round three that you look at Alex in Georgia. What you got Alex? Now here. What do you think the bears are going to do in their first round? And then also changes, what do you think? Harper and Machado where are they going? Well, bears Oakland gets that pick. Obviously, you think about where with what they could do down the line. But you said as far as Harper and Machado for baseball. Dr. I have no I would just say the Phillies with one, but I have no idea. Oh, wait, spend all over the place. Any late word. I didn't been following it. There's nothing nobody wants to sign the other. They everybody. They both want the other one to sign. I nobody's doing anything right now. That's a believe the Phillies went up with one of them. Yeah. I agree. I'd agree with that. Yeah. I wanna see Harper. Stay in Washington. But that's just me. I just stay where you're at think that'd be good. Anyway. John in New York. Hello, john. What you got? Are you Johnny New York? I it's going to be the real deal and he's going to go to the giants. You think I need? I need some help you with my QB over here. Well, the giants are at six, and if you want to get ahead of them, and there's several teams that could navy wanna get over the giants would be Jacksonville at seven Denver at ten Miami at thirteen to jump up and say if the giants sit at six would they lose a maybe the giants have to move up to go up to one or two to get the Wayne Haskins? So I don't think sitting at six we have to mock him that way. And that Todd did it. I did it the previous mock you have to project the trade. I gotta believe Haskins doesn't get the six if somebody's going to go up and get them. Yeah. That's one heck of a passer right there shots in Iowa. Sean when he got from L. Yeah. Lifelong Washington Redskins fan mail, and and just kind of want to know I can't live the nineties every year. But what do you think? Well, again, they could be in the mix to get a quarterback, and they're one of those. But they're at fifteen the move up. They'd have to they need a pass rusher. I thought you KAI polite from Florida who had that big season with the Gators getting after the passer if he's there at fifteen I like Brian burns from Florida state Twenty-three Saxons career Todd didn't have him in his first of surprise me. I'm more of a burns guy from Florida state will see how he tests Benz the edge tremendously well with low quiet late in the year. And I think that's what maybe Todd was concerned about he had that great start up the midseason, but he was getting tackles. He wasn't getting sacks late in the year. But I think either polite from Florida or burns from Florida state or ninth and final caller the segment Chris in Ohio. Chris you've got to be quick. Male lifelong Cleveland Browns fan and for one we're not picking at the top of the draft. So or need a quarterback so seventeen who do you like there for the Browns and that they have? There's a player they may want to move up. The board for Dorsey is gonna take the best. He's not locked in the need. I mean, everybody say why need wide receivers take them? And he took deformed the already had pass rushers because he was thinking down the line. He thinks two three years ahead of the game. But I thought a defensive tackle of Jeffrey Simmons Ray drafted Chris Jones out of Mississippi State, maybe defensive tackle Todd thought that as well he projected Christian Wilkins from.

"But he he's a guy who can rely on to block. And to be short intermediate pass catcher Caisley can can get down the seam and make a play when the balls in the air. Mel what do we make of Dawson Knox guy from ole miss? I I mean, you guys obviously know better than me. This feels like we're talking about this is a really deep tight end class. And is he another one of these guys were maybe you get them in round three, and you feel like in some years. You would have got him early round to. I don't know. I'm looking at Knox. You talk about underclassmen. He's one of it right now of the top seven. Tight ends six or underclassmen. I'll know how your board goes Todd. I'm just looking at it now, and it kind of stood out to me when you think about how important to combine is Knox. One of. He's a set of eight of nine mill you have eight of nine. Okay. So I'm down to teach a Hopkinson underclassmen, Irv Smith underclassmen Noah fan, Kate and Smith, Caleb Wilson, UCLA and Dawson knocks all underclassmen the only senior in eastern burger from Israel senior only. That's why I say would Sweeney get lost in the shuffle. With all the he's the only senior. Then you've got sample Washington Monroe LSU, Oliver, San Jose, Donald Parham could upset sins interest. I saw him. It was a was Waldorf during the year big game. And of course, they got her. What do you get hurt at the senior bowl practice Parham? No one's too. Yeah. So he's a kid is kind of a wild card that maybe you take late and take a chance with maybe day three some point day three will probably be talking about Parham from Stetson. But I again, do we know can we can we verify any time for underclassmen at this stage. No, we can so we we're just guessing we get go by what she hear from school. He's going to run this. He's going to run that. What do you think knocks runs Todd? For sevens. He runs four seven. He's gonna go though later in the third round. I think you know. And I think that's again where Caitlyn Smith go back. I like the kid. He's a good all around this Tate and Smith does he run four eight five. What's what's his forty time? Going to be how how fast is Smith Sweeney. What you're you estimating for Tommy Sweeney right now, if you had to guess best guess right now four eight five four six if he ran four eight as a second round that. Wow. When the board I think if he runs four eight or batteries, the second round pick the kid, and I really think Smith runs for your better. He'll go pretty high the the one I get to Hopkinson. What do you think? Hopkinson runs Todd does. He have surprise us on seven. What's that supports seven four six five? Yeah, I guess in that range. I think he's at least from a play speed standpoint. I know he's not quite as fast as fan, but he's significantly bigger stronger and better blocker. And I think. Dallas gar. What did he run last year? Gosh, I don't think are opening four seven. I like he runs back Hopkinson runs better than that. Yeah. I think he's right in that range in terms of a guy who can block who has size. But also has underrated speed. Just good group. That's that's a nice group a tight ends. And and at the top you'd have to say right now to go in the first thought, maybe two tight ends in round one where we thought I wasn't Hopkinson would be the one guy that feel strongly will Irv Smith and fan..

"But I think he could go in the late first round or the worst the second round. I like our Smith like them all along. And I think that's where he would figure along with TJ Hopkinson Hopkinson from Iowa is probably the most intriguing guy because he's big it can run you can get down to field. He's he plays with an attitude plays with a chip. Yeah. He's not gronkowski. That comparisons always exaggerated. But he gives you a little bit of that will block, I think TJ Hawkins the best all round tight end. Cadence Smith good player Stanford. It depends on what he runs that's going to be important for Smith. No offense athletic kid who wasn't as productive as Hopkinson. But certainly has a lot of talent Tommy Sweeney. Boston College is kind of the senior gonna gets lost with all the underclassmen in the shuffle a bit. He had a great week in mobile. Yeah. Foster Moreau, LSU's and other one Josh Oliver San Jose State through sample, Washington. But I I go to Sweeney Todd if these juniors and testing, obviously, cadence miss going to be the one to forty for cadence Smith is going to be really important for him. But I think Tommy Sweeney is he a second round guy. If he runs well enough. I mean, it doesn't have to be great if but I think third round is probably like right now if I had to guess I would say third, but it won't shock. If you go second. He catches everything. I know his tight end coach. It was my tight end coach in college Richmond. And he just he's and he would be honest with me, but he swears by this kid one of the the best hardest working kids. He's ever coached loves the game. Gonna do. Everything's gonna be put in the work and it shows up. He's just from the blocking to route running. He just was technically sound and found ways to separate and he may not run the fastest time or be the most athletic of them..

"Mm spouse himself on special teams because that's a big part of it as well. If he can do those things I think that he's got to believe to be drafted a lot earlier than some people think potentially as early as round three. The south running backs Reich. Well, Armstead Wesley hills, Bruce Anderson and Trevan west go, and I think Anderson is getting a little bit of buzz coming in was very productive player for the bison and North Dakota state coming off their championship run. But to me, I think you look at Rockwell Armstead from temple. He's got a lot of tools that you can work with you know, he's a bigger back. He's a fiscal downhill guy. I do like his vision and his patients he works well zone run game. He's also got some quickness to them the big thing with him is that he just hasn't been able to consistently stay healthy. And it's not it hasn't been anything serious Ross. It's just been little injuries here and there where he's just kind of been dinged up. And that's just something that he's got to work through in gen true that he can be more durable. The only way to do that is to try and save you can get through this entire process without in the issues. But on Phil I think he's got pretty good film. Overall. Taking a look at the wide receivers on the north team Keelan dos. Alex, Wesley, Jalen. Smith penny. Heart Terry MacLaurin and Jacoby Myers. Yeah. And I think the. The three best. I would say the three of the four. Three of the four best players to be the small school guys. You know, you look at Keelan dos from UC Davis. I mean, he's worried we'll find out fischel numbers here today. But I think he was listed around six two and change two hundred pounds. He's a good size kid, but he moves well and he plays the ball. Really, really? Well in the air. He was very productive for them. He's a very interesting player. I had a chance to study him for the first time over the weekend. And I get with all the buzz about he's a very intriguing player with his combination of size and movement. Alex wesley. We've talked about before from northern Colorado guys speed guy. I mean, he can work vertically. But he also has a pretty good route. Right. I honestly I haven't talked enough about Alex Wesley coming into this week and all the other things that I've done because to me he could be the guy that really really helps himself because small school guy showing up that he can prove that he could show up here and create separation himself and run by people. I think that could play really well outs Wesley. Really impressed me on tape. Keep it rolling friend talking about the south receivers deebo Samuel, man. We've talked a lot about him Tyree. Brady, we've talked a lot about because I saw him hunter Renfro, David sills. You did a great story on David sills that you wrote Anthony buffalo self interesting Travis full them and Gary Jennings. A lot of people in buffalo going to be surprised that they're in the south. Yes, they do that. Because you know, they're trying to spread the town out evenly. And then also he's from I believe he's from Florida a little try and justify it that way with our main goal is to make sure that there's an even amount of talent on both sides from my is Ross the three best receivers here in terms of how they can play right now are on this roster. The depot Samuel Andy Isabella from UMass entire Brady from Marshall on all three of them win in different ways. Samuel. I love after the catch is probably the best overall receiver here in my eyes Isabella is both fast and quick. He's pretty crafty route runner he's good at the catch. Point to me. He could we could be a walking away this week thing saying like man is any Isabella's going to go first or second round and Tyree. Brady. I've said before he kinda reminds me of alshon Jeffery watching Shawn up close the last couple of years seeing what he can do Tyree Brady has a lot of those same qualities. Let's get to the tight ends. Then the north Andrew sample, Tommy Sweeney and Donald Parham. Yes..
