"And it's heard doing her new album which i think is called happier than ever performing this album completely front to back like every song in order and we're talking about this right before we started recording Are like not a full on. Billy irish fans. We're sort of like You know listener. Yes casual listeners. Exactly so i wonder how you know. People who are obsessed with her music would react to this. I came away being like. Oh this was like a fun. Little movie like just over an hour and The sort of interesting Almost like framing device of the film is that robert. Rodriguez is one of the directors by the way and patrick osbourne i think is his last name directed. Feast that short film. That was in front of the pixar short film about the dogs This was a few years ago But yet these two guys like co directed this movie and in addition to all of the concert stuff in the typical performance l. a. elements that you would expect movie like this. There's also images of billy irish walking around through la or driving around you know past all of the most famous iconic landmarks and things like that. But it's not really hurts like a row scoped version of her like an animated version of her where she's the only thing that's animated in Otherwise live action shot and yet so the look of it is really cool. I just wish that that part of it added up to a little bit more that there is some of you know in between songs. You'll hear some of her narration. She's talking to the viewers explaining why she loves the city and different things like that. But there's not really much meat on the bone. There and i wish that they would have gotten a little deeper at it. All feels super Surface level which is great. If you're just wanting to throw it on and listen to the music watch the performances which are You know really good like she's incredible performer. So it works on that level. I just wish that the The sort of quote unquote extra stuff was a little bit more interesting so happier. The numbers coming out on disney plus Pretty soon so you can put that on your radar. If you're billy bush fan and finally one last thing i went to mention is film called the package that came out in nineteen eighty nine so this is streaming on amazon crime right. Now i'm gonna look this up. Because i know that it is disappearing from ends on crime video like incredibly soon so yet as we're recording this it leaves amazon prime in ten hours. So basically if you're listening to this date comes out you can watch it tonight on amazon prime and that's kind of like your window basically So i just wanted to give a quick shout to this movie. Because i had never heard of it before and love. It's film. Andrew davis directed the fugitive directions. Movie came out in nineteen eighty nine. It starts gene hackman. And tommy lee jones and it's set during the cold war ended is basically a a movie where gene hackman plays a sergeant in the opening. The movie takes place in berlin and there is this whole thing with the cold war going on this sort of peace talks between american russia and everything seems to be on the brink of actual real peace happening and then something happens gene. Hackman's character witnesses. Something go wrong Attempts kinda thing and he gets pulled into this this larger conspiracy and he has to transport. Tommy lee jones character from a berlin all the way back to the united states. And then tommy lee jones ends up escaping. And it's basically hackman versus tommy lee jones in like a cat and mouse kind of thing as he. They're like going across the country and trying to figure out what the hell is going on with this grand conspiracy and it is super well done and the kind of movie that feels very very similar to the future so if you love the fugitive and you should rules and it's just like one of the completely down the middle like serviceable thrillers. That is like a four quadrant like everybody can love kind of thing. You can find something great to love about that movie. This movie is very very totally similar to that And actually found it super fascinating. Because i feel like even if you didn't know that andrew davis directed this you would probably come away with thinking. Hey wait a second. Did the guy who made the Make this movie because there are several it's set in chicago which is where a lot of the fugitive takes place and there are several set pieces. That look almost exactly like what he would do. A few years later in the daily jones chasing maybe a hidden. Tommy lee jones is being chased in this one. So yes so. It's a little bit of a flip when it comes to the future but you can easily see why why injured i wanted to get him back in into the fray there so yeah it really feels like sort of a dry run for the fugitives in in a great way but like not in the movie certainly stands on its own is good and has its own you know a bowl it warrants reviewing all its own instead of just being just being dry run it is like a great movie i'll also itself so yeah if you're interested in like a great like i mean i came out in nineteen eighty nine but it's basically like an early nineties era thriller the kind of film that we definitely don't see very much and it has like peak hackman and peaks homily jones Yeah it's called the package. Its string on amazon prime video for a very short time so check that out if you are interested all right. I've talked enough as she. What have you been watching. I watched dear. Evan hansen the feature film adaptation of the hit. Tony winning musical starring. Ben platt reprising his role as a high schooler. This time many years older and looking a little worse for wear. I cannot say anything about the film yet because my reactions are still embargoed until the reviews are allowed to drop But i will say that elements. That were considered problematic with the broadway musical. We'll be back in discussion again when the film hits theaters. I'm i don't know if i'm looking forward to the discourse i'm not looking forward to it anyways. Serbia interests over that anyone should ever look forward to a seattle. Yeah i don't think so. Anyways hanson a movie that. I saw a movie that you can't really say much about okay. Hey everybody this has been just wanted to jump in with a quick spoiler warning spoil basically the entirety of the movie a net. So if you want to skip ahead go to the twenty three fifty one mark and you'll miss all of that. Yeah i look forward to having a more in-depth conversation about that once. The embargo is lifted. But a movie. That you can't talk about Full-throatedly is you. Wish is a net. Which is a movie that i've talked about in the past It's streaming on amazon prime video right. Now what did you think about Very strange film and we haven't actually talked about it race face to face quote unquote in visual podcast. Realm we've kind of chat about over slack but You kind of warned me ahead of time that it was a very odd film and i went into it with those expectations and yet i.

"Maybe the electric chair. I'm not sure exactly how they would do it. But now they're on their way to death. Row that that's where they're on their way to their on a bus. And i believe it is i. I don't know if it's a passenger or the driver or something happens where someone's foaming at the mouth. I believe it was. Actually one of the passengers was choking out the other. One and one of the one that he was choking was actually dying. I he was you know he was getting choked to death and his his mouth sorta foaming and basically they had to stop the bus in order to for stuff to happen and i believe that the rest of the prisoners on the bus were like yet. This guy's getting sentenced to death and he's innocent like we're guilty but like this guy is innocent. Run dude run which is interesting to see that in this film And he ends up escaping. So richard is able to get out He's on. He's on the run and i think this is where the beginning of the film really starts to take off because now you now we meet tommy lee jones as samuel gerard. Who is the police chief. An assistant is cosmo or not assistant. Sorry well i guess it's assistant assistant police chief. I guess going with him To search for kimball. Is this. Tommy lee jones and he is he begins his chase now not that. He necessarily wholeheartedly believes that kimball is guilty. But that doesn't really make a difference. The whole point is his job is to catch him and bring him back. So i think that's what we we wanna talk about. What makes us film so engaging because it doesn't have the you know the modern twenty ten style of action sequences with explosions were huge explosions and cgi and everything like that. It doesn't really have that. It's came out in ninety three and i think what makes it. So engaging is the cat and mouse chase that ensues so we see in. And i think that the main really selling point for the sort of film i mean. Granted it was based off of. I don't know if it was please based necessarily often reality but this was definitely a movie version of a tv show that had already been existing. And and i believe that that. Tv show is based on something Based on reality so there's that too but even just you know if you scratch that from your brain like normally think about that part just in. You're just looking at the movie as we are right now. I think the fact that the the innocent yet found guilty protagonist is a very. It's a say it's an engaging protagonists. How many times. I can use the word engaging But i think that the thing about richard kimble that makes him so interesting in fun to watch is the fact that he is innocent and we are rooting for him. Because he doesn't deserve to die he doesn't it's not him but at the same time we also we're also meeting gerard it. It's not like gerard is a bad person. He literally just doing the job that he has been assigned. He has no real problem with kimball. And in this rivalry between the two starts. And that's what we're watching between. This whole film is the rivalry between kimble and gerard.

"We can actually win. Justin nice once your year by strategy is reused mocks. Same same principle. So us marks d'appel as the decoy. So he so he him. He runs into the bill runs into the building so they follow us in southern follow. Nick loan it took a win hiding rebuilding on your piss into like a alex you out patient and then you know when no down so awesome. That could test at stoke then. Yeah i disarmed them with the cocaine. Use some folks and disarm them like you know come so that covid in like knives and folks ship out now and then i'll you usual portal gun and then we pulled from one place to really high price Spot to the of goodway. Then think about just shoot pull a gun into the sky basically sharia the floor and then you shoot into the sky and then they just fall into even better you could shoot on the floor and then shoot it directly both so that in your yes in order to be offered continue to tweet was officers and then we talked to strangers. Maybe where to timeline again just constantly until the end of time so an cops died from starvation basically horrible. They're in constant flux of going out polls until they were negative. There is like a happy you know i will. It's nothing that would be about that way to any other. If you go your own way that you think would you wanna pick one of us now. I mean similarly i was gonna use molly like shadow clone so basically Yeah lure them into somewhere and we would have liked maybe doxa holes in the floor and covered them over so so we're basically hiding these hiding in these pits onto the floor. Come on land a they come in see pistol over the these so sticky so just stuck and then we just ha jump out. Yep thank him out. Yeah me what was already disarmed him. The go yeah few ways to win so i think it can choose a lot kind of of to kind of torment with total mensing them for a long period of time. We're just in that. We've like some moonshine. Just watching them to solve air. Go nazi rican record a podcasts. Get ready. Because i think was definitely one that one before we go. Who's taking. What are we taking everything from one of them or we're going to take one of the guns old shades of the suit what we can be kind of fun to get one of those new allies of things. How would you use it. I will be your first point of views And i would why. What does it do this thing. It removes their short term memory. Yeah the moment of what's going on like the last hour so isn't now. It's not like a permanent memory. Loss of light years of your life is just like a no moment thing. So how how would you how es it in will be. I'm sure you use on them. So they don't know why the author on the time so humiliated them evolve on a timer so every time pitt from full. It flashes davis in constant flux of like completely like derangement realized what they're already into. They've already forgotten entry. John's as arsenal over and over again as it is the first time a horrible when they protect the universe. I got into this. Didn't even want to the trio that we go back to present day and less those pawsox walking prosecutor badges inside the disco. People won't be able to help them. Because if you could neutralize it s keep flashing than anyone who's looking at them is also gonna forget that they're they become lost not just in time in space. "He's like Stuck again. This is just me. Spit balling here. Forum is is we gonna have to get close to them which is going to be really difficult laser cannons yes bass though knee the issue. I think tasseled office. We run in this. You know not yet we we need. We need a better defense. We've got some to got like technical pows right now but we haven't got a defense power. We haven't go fit offense power so kind of likes. I guess tactical supporting powers and nothing really combo powered basically so why some trails and will like your loss resort kentucky. Ten like if they didn't have their weapons will would be able to take them with his car. Can fish oil bought will. Smith is quite physically like at peak peak. Black man in black still wouldn't be enough Swollen coyote content. So i think we'll take them. I just don't know how we we could even get the their weapons out there out at possession so it's going to all second of powers and trying to thing. Yeah let's go for our second row. Two thousand reviews a will. You'll second power the match. Is you have the accuracy of booze. I slash hawkeye. Sweet toss. i mean in. The village is bound to be like projectile weapons of town. Yeah there's going to be gotten full pistols gonna be yet is going to be light. Low knives and daggers. And like okay. I can take the weapons of the hands at least likely not forget. Yeah yeah to see if you get stoned and the shooting finger. If they're wearing shades you chuck out there shades. So they call news thing. They're not wearing a shade. You still chuck at the heads. 'cause he's probably gonna knock him out this human at the end of the day especially if go can ten Ten pickup stone. And it's basically boston faster bullet. I mean it's basically a bullet just need to you just need to. You just need to hit them. Food they hit you basically with their. Yes and that's where marks shadow clone could communist destruction. Yeah i think. That's promising i think. Yeah yeah definitely uses Is lifted us operative word visual okay. Let's go pitt. My second and lost power the match. I get a tool gun with five shots. Oh okay so for those. That don't know the portal gun is a gun that can shoot Economic recovery not that device has that can allow him to go through into the different dimensions by instead of dimensions is just our dimensioned. Bah is creating portals kind of like blink from x. Men and bob five five Bullets so i can shoot into the air. Crap portal and portal will appear wherever. I guess i feel like i want it to be. Actually supreme. coppola is off. What was i couldn't from the game pot. Why you why you have to shoot two two wires entrance. Exit makes it. That's why it's just pulled a gun. So i mean we can't do it that way if you want. I'm thinking is good. Because i can. I can combine it with my urine in comparison to the poll and the clo- onto them. John make sense as a as as a secondary or third distraction as well as they thought way are i think if they got stood while they are that makes a lot more easy. Talk it for me to talk. Disarm them shopping. As locking them in place probably the first thing we need to do and we'll to be fed hawkeye and bozize accuracy. It doesn't matter if they are even if they're running gonna hit. You're going to be up to hit them because they then like doing flips in the errands still able to get that booze is and we've with little to no practice so yeah i think we've my with my portal gun mix of my magical urine and mock shadow clan. And then your abilities were think. I think we've got a plan to win. We just need to come up with a one. That's gonna hundred befell kopri. So let's go on to pick marks lost and final power the match so mark. Here we go. You have the durability of an elephant not the physical strength but just durability of one. Okay so that means getting shot by i guess the guns on you might survive it. You try try you might like goma work intestines spread but also your shot clone also would inherit this ability so sweet sure so you can use him as a shield if needed as well. Yeah guys seventy goaded strategy up will win this. I caught think what it is. Yeah but we got the tools to win. We just need this strategy now. Let me tell you my proposal of how. I think we could win. So i think we got run into like a tavern something right and then we will jump behind the bar tavern yet before we do that. I am urinating on the floor. I set up a portal right above the doors. Well and then set up another portal in the back where i'm going to be pissing is wall. They enter the room. The floors piss urine sticky urine. The is raining stick year end today. Going to be instant knee kind of wilted. At this time i think malt shuttered clone will be in front of them so is giving them a focus. Something to look at but yes. They're looking at him with his elephant. Durability will can be not on the side and he could have mugs and and knives and forks whatever is in stones and he could decipher them at the hands making on their heads as well making sure that they completely messed up is yeah and then and then i think once they're kind kinda stuck in place de the wills frying all sorts of things them wills also in cairo ken mode as well so they either the iva going to be not and killed from wolf frank stones at the head if not at worst they probably just go their weapons or taken off them and then it's just a question of us being shot him and i think we could do that when we got to go to mark's effectively with great your ability me and then we'll we've Times ten physical abilities. So i think i think i think this is a few ways that.

John five shots Two thousand reviews second power today two wires Smith two seventy second row boston Ten third distraction Stuck first thing second bob five ten Ten pickup stone kentucky ten

"Is the i. B will smith and tommy lee with fighting to iconic figures. I'm going to suggest that they have the iconic weapons with them. So will smith has his own. I think is the cricket gun. Noisy gone very powerful machine barberis and then thomas has is kind of like a shotgun cut type things in the canon thing yet. Kind of big big of those mind. Neutralizing things that will not. Why i'm i guess. I think think like 'cause you have to look at the light on you like Directly into it yet to work. So i think we we know enough to kind of avoid that. I don't think he's going to be too too much problem Especially if he smashed shades so they have no no way out but yeah I mean right now they yet. They'll probably be able to destroy australia away. Just based on the of their weapons year tough tough parents but where are you going to be fighting to question so drummer place. So we fought in an indian village before but this is taking place in a medieval village. So it's like the future the post and the prison she's a perfect little concoction of is that way we full before as well I think he was a yes. You're right you're right. It was a new three of us as well. So we know the area with becoming familiar with the returning to the scene. Yeah here we see the blood splatter marks but yeah medieval village. We've got few tools and weapons there will. What's your first thought going into this fire. Tofino is chris while at least three against two slots at least odd vantage. I suppose a part okay. scott. I think we might reduce swim. Like a thing. That that that weapons all powerful me. We certainly need good defense in this. Then we need. I think defense is something. That's going to be key iranian to policy. Shows going to be a bit tricky. Mock was your thoughts going into this fight I'm worried about this. One the lace zora yet. We cannot get pretty epic to to get. It's safe to say that one direct hit from any of their weapons is probably a ko for us. So let's let's get going. Let's get started mark He he's going. I was the order of people. select We did pretty well last time. So i think we'll stick with the same odor so in me yet okay. That sounds good. Let's get to it so we'll your first power of the matches. Oh okay so we'll you get you get the ability to do cayo ken. Times ten cow and only loss up to eight minutes though embodies in pain afterwards. Yeah so mark. Higher can t need goku use in dragon boulware basically amplifies his buddies physical energy and only his car times to which means he gets double his strength. his speed is power. Everything by has a toll on the body the higher you go the less it can lost so car can times ten is going to leave will often if he does car can time sinful like eight minutes limit of off towards he probably gonna be on the floor honored like within a overly bodily exertion so okay control stuff. Yeah i think he's i think is a really good one to use because wherever power you get it also affects that power so in effect is something that you use when you know that you need to finish the fight. So will ever position. We're like we've got five minutes that we just need to finish his fight now will you can use is pretty powerful. Content is going to be pretty good. So you're like. I would say you're probably around captain america level if not beyond that. It's i think resort. Though because i'm out by you know i mean like use your as the hassle to be a sure win tanning when you use it okay jurassic a good start. I think we're off to a good start so Choose my power. My urine seconds will become ten times stickier than the strongest superglue. Ninety man k seconds upstarts after a few seconds officer author few seconds. All right we can. We can lead them into somewhere. We can lead them into like a into lockhart or some type of like a like a a you know like medieval in where people having drinks whatever and we can kind of like. I pissing on the floor in the entrance and piss load full so as they come in. They walk in it and then founded the completely stock. I mean that's that's that's an example of how i could use it. They're going to be seen sms. The tactic we have at this. Yeah i'm gonna think trent lott. Yeah i think actually more handy than than we might give you. Think i think he's she could be quite useful it ten times stickier than the strongest. Superglue nights is is very. That's a priest to even pissing on a dole handle so as they can come in now the touch the handle. Yeah after yes but there's a lot of stuff we can do if you're just pissing on them in general somehow you could get a high you can stream type of building and piss on a golden shopping thing. If i do that then they can see me. And they will shoot a weapons at me and are getting used to pick ups power so your first call the matches. You can shut clean yourself. You can experience pain in the shadow form in your clone form bought. You cannot die so basically you can duplicate yourself And that clone view is completely the same as you may shares all of your abilities it shows all of your your skills But if that coin dies used the life so it's fine. Okay so we've got a. We've got equality. Then we've got a decoy. Yeah if i piss in decoy letters whoever right get him to run and jump and he can just grab one of them and he's a stop to them then. It's gonna cool such mayhem because.

"Right everybody. I think that's going to be it for today. I still haven't made up my mind about shows for the rest of the week. So at this point i guess i just say to assume that there won't be any more. I think that's probably unlikely. But i'm not quite sure but that way it can be a little fun surprise when one actually does pop up at least. That's my thinking but i am working on doing my first review show in months and for any superhero fans out there. I'm deciding to revisit batman. V superman dawn of justice. I figure that would be a good one pretty soon. It'll be twenty twenty one in zack. Snyder's version of the justice league will be hbo. Max i'm say i just really love. That movie. wanted to have a discussion about it. And maybe you'll get something out of it as well as for what's out right now. I did finally make a new design for merchandise. So that's t shirt and some long sleeve shirts at the moment. The link is in and description in death and it was kind of a fun design that makes fun of trump. Also i wrote an article on medium that compares trump's response to covid to reagan's response to aids. So if you don't like either villes people check out that link is also in the description and even if you are the age where you voted for reagan back in the day like you could have had the opportunity to vote and you did. I would say you can still read this article for sure since so much. New information has come out since then. I've just been thinking about this a lot recently. How limited access to information was back in the day before the internet essentially all you got was the official story. That's all that was taught. That's all that was in textbooks. And then some of the like alternative conspiracy theory type things. That actually turned out to be true. You are on the fringe if you actually thought any of those things. So it was sort of stigmatized. It's like that scene. In men in black. When tommy lee jones picks up the national enquirer and all those tabloid papers that are just insane and will smith is like know. What are you doing with those. That's not even real news in. Tommy lee jones says oh it's the best investigative reporting out there hot.

"But it's such an interesting thing of like, you know, if somebody posted a question what if Airport Air Force One was hijacked and it's like well why why would somebody do that? What would be their motivations how would the office and government respond to that? It's a lot of interesting questions when I think you sit down and kind of pitch that concept so, you know, it's kind of crazy as it had never really occurred to me until Jose's, like die hard on a blank. I never even thought about that, you know of like foreign guys taking over a building or a boat or a bus or a plane with people on it that it never really occurred to me because I thought I mean I saw Air Force 1 years before I sold diehards so much so so far that so this to me didn't feel like this Ami didn't feel like a claustrophobic, you know, foreign guys take over building and one guy is 4 to deal with it. I did not even think about that until I read Jose's comment, but I I enjoyed this a lot. I would say a solid eight out of ten love Gary Oldman wage. Love Jerry Goldsmith hits a long road for fucking First Blood absolutely crushed it and I'm excited that we talked about it. I'm really excited. When we do the motherfuking fugitive. Yeah, that would be fun. That would definitely be a great one to cover and I mean like you're talking about Tommy Lee Jones and that I feel like he's not the bad guy. He's just like his like rival almost it's not, this isn't even maybe I mean maybe Nemesis is a good word, but it makes it seem like Tommy Lee Jones is a bad guy. It's just her so well squared off and the weird situation there cotton. I don't need a man loves medicine. I don't care units. Yeah, we'll get into it when we kept a fugitive one day. All right, somebody else. I'll go. I definitely agree with you think this is one of those movies that you end up talking about more than you probably watch it for like the cinematography or for like any maybe, you know crazy like film industry moments that really maybe I don't know change. Thing. I don't know if this movie maybe like is after that which is totally fine. I love being able to turn your brain off and and go.

Thing. I don't know if this movie maybe like is after that which is totally fine..

"We live in a theory mysterious world and is so much that we don't understand about it and that just on this planet but we also live in a universe that for those of us who are experiences know it's teeming with life. There are many things that happen here. That just don't make any sort of saints at a war. Some of these things can say allies or hoaxes delusions or misinterpretations of events seen or experienced. But sometimes it's very very hard to dismiss the strange things that happen especially when we can't rationalize defend vint would give it may be especially when it's so far out of our paradigm for she'd reality may be and even if if we are able to create some sort of fresheners Asian for what we just experienced who saw theory often. We know we are just fully now sales but refused to delve. Any deepened deepened. The subject for three or four may find or what it might reveal about the nature of this reality. We find ourselves on. We find ourselves not not really to question or one technology that the event even happened so we choose the easier and safer option for us and that is trying to rationalize analyze the away or to even deny twelve fifty feet actually happened some people who've witnessed UFO's in day or not skies is will even on the ground is the case may be don't want to talk about what they saw. Don't want to think about it. 'cause it's too far out of the consumer. The division of what reality is and that is a perfectly understandable reaction for some particularly since the subject is still treated with derision and as the joke by some people others simply refused to believe or even consider the probability that laugh exists outside of this planet. And so these these people try and put the experience behind them to forget about it and move on with version of reality however sometimes this is just not possible possible. Because some people have follow-up experiences that must often shake them very seriously and can create fear in them. I'm referring to the mysterious men. Black women might be must be but when they hear the two men black they think of it very funny. Nineteen ninety seven. Movie starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones with a wonderfully catchy rep chain sung by will that spend a franchise afoa what movies entitled. They think it is just a Hollywood invention. Not actually knowing of the reality of the situation often people hostage trade this aspect of the subject to the great deal of skepticism and doubt but for those who've experienced in sometimes woman and black full themselves sales. "This is a very interesting situation. We always find ourselves looking around there are so many things that are happening in the universe in isn't just our universe here. The universe in general, it's it sort of gives some people that Willie's, though when I was looking at the results of men in black over the weekend. And this is really sort of a player, they ladies on the whole business of we're not alone as opposed to be a comedy in his supposed to be a drama. And it's supposed to fully creepy. Crawly creatures. I remember seeing the first one, Tommy Lee Jones Will Smith were in the first one. And it was forget who else was in it. But it was I didn't know what to expect. So I went and even though I don't I a creepy crawly creatures. Give me that God Zillah movie around. Now. I saw about thirty seconds of the trailer in another movie before it came out. And I just thought, oh my God. Why would you want to watch that stuff? And then bring. Around two men in black and the creepy crawly creatures that are in that even though they're cleverly done. It does give us cause to think about who else is around really doesn't, if there are being that are capable of, of replicating us and I'm betting that, there, are you think that's too wild fire out or not? Yes. No. Who knows? Maybe you're always a little far out. Thank you. 'Men in Black: International' Struggles to Find Its Place in the Universe

"Out, Ryan. It's been long awaited men in black international. Yeah. Long-awaited is right, dis movies, usually, take a while to get to the feeder. And this is the first one gotten since men in black three in two thousand twelve obviously say continuation of the franchise that started with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones all the way back in nineteen Ninety-seven, of course, this time around, we don't have either of them. I think if you attention you might see their framed photos show up in one scene. But this time the action is centered in the London branch of which is run by Liam Neeson's, high t-, Tessa Thompson is a rookie agent agent age, who is teamed up with kind of a full of himself, slacker agent, m who is played by Chris Hemsworth. They have to basically uncover a mole in the organization y. While at the same time prevent an alien threat from getting their hands on a powerful weapon. So you know it's pretty standard stuff. There aren't particularly any clever plot elements and it kinda plays out exactly as you might expect it to, you know, Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson had great chemistry together and four. Ragnarok, they seem to be having fun here. But it doesn't quite compared to that movie still. It's probably one of the few bright, spots, otherwise typical Sifi blockbuster. The supporting cast is great has 'em Thomson. You know, Camille, non Johnny and Rebecca Ferguson. They offer their voices, two two different alien characters kinda steel seems at they're in that a lot of this feels way to millier and kind of not quite inventive enough to sort of justify extending the franchise, so it's not doing very well at all with the critics. It's currently at twenty six percents. I personally think that's a little bit low because I still think it's kind of fun world to be in. So if you feel the same way, it'll probably be decent time killer. But I wouldn't go in there expecting like a huge revitalization of the franchise. Yeah. That's kind of disappointing from my vantage point, I was ten when the first one came out and I love and I still like that movie. But yeah, there were definitely some diminishing returns as the franchise went on. And I was hoping that this would sort of be a reset that there would be something good. Yeah. I mean, I think a lot of people were hoping for that, especially with the involvement. I mean, the two stars Chris Henderson has Thomson everybody thought okay? This is going to be so Ragnar off to in a sense, and it's not quite that. I think the, the director is f Gary gray who's done with me. No heated the most recent fast and furious movies and the Italian job, so you've got some, you know, action under his belt. But for some reason, he just can't quite manage the tone of this one properly, I think, but again, I still think it's kind of a fun movie to watch. So I mean if you're into that world into that universe, I wouldn't necessarily Ryan, would you say it's one of those things we talked about this before where you have. A whole lot of critic saying. You know I just can't give it a thumbs up. It's not terrible, but it ends up being a negative review which against it. It's not like so when you see twenty five or twenty six percent it's everybody's saying this is terrible. Stay away. It's just it's. All right. Yeah. I definitely think that that's the case with this one. I think a lot of people feel extremely lukewarm. I mean, don't get me wrong. There's a fair share of people who saw this and thought it's really bad. Oh, okay. There's definitely a handful of critics thought. Oh, this is the worst in the franchise. But, you know, I think the, the average score is four point five out of ten so that might tell you something. Okay.

And Tommy Lee Jones, you are lying were roommates. That is a fun. Fact Thomas Lee Jones made his acting debut in the movie how about that. That's a very sad story, by the way. La story. Well, dang. Comedy doesn't make it. All right. So that's fun willing this up. So you can find it for yourself. Netflix and chill. All right Netflixing. Jelly belly means they're gonna put on a little Netflix. And then you're going to do it. Hey, Donna what? So you're edges are a little sharp. You know, just just saw him a little bit. Then you're gonna have some close time. Okay. Nope. There's an article in the Wall Street Journal that got a lot of people's attention that essentially was blaming declining birth rates on Netflix. The premise of the piece this is an article today on slate dot com, which is sort of offering a rebuttal to. But the premise of the Wall Street Journal piece is that the streaming platform is so entertaining, the people even those who would like to have babies sometimes watch Netflix with their partners instead of having procreative sex, even though the author correctly notes that the link between streaming and reduced baby. Making is largely anecdotal. It is nonetheless confusingly framed as a mood killer. So large that it's contributing to the US rate being a thirty year low. Thirty year loan. Here's why they think part of the argument is to why perhaps Netflix and chilling might not actually be leading to as much chilling and just more watching and sleeping. There are no commercials. Where you could look over and say, Honey. Ila cute pause button. They think it has to do with ads going away. Somehow suggesting this article puts in a very funny way that ads for mid size cars and swiffer or apparently the foreplay instigator that were now all missing out on. Anyway. All right. Oh, I here's what I have to say about him. I only made it through half of the special. Sure, I think he's funny. I think he's good has nothing to do with that. I only watched the first half hour of the hour long special. And I think there's something about his delivery. That I can deal with for ten minutes. Like if I saw him on the tonight show. I'd be like, okay. That guys funny. Yeah. There's something about it over an extended period of time that just doesn't work for my attention span, you're done. I mean, he is undeniably funny. It's just he kind of takes a little longer. He's he likes to let it marinate. You're more of that kind of you're more receptive to that kind of humor. The marination like to marinate, marination sip. Lock back overnight. If possible Marigny would I notice about need per Gosse his standup special. It's called Naper got through the Tennessee kid not in the kind of like annoying way. Jessica Biel settled either. Trying to cut you're in the room nut still are. That's why I'm being quiet. So you can't hear this things that I want to say to you. Summer Movie Preview

"The movies of summer twenty nineteen. What is out there? What's going to happen? And I've got to start by saying you think maybe that summer begins on your calendar near the end of June. But not in Hollywood everything in Hollywood begins early because summer is when they make all the money that they can make all year. So officially April twenty six it's the beginning of summer because the movie that opens on that day is called a ventures endgame. This is three hours long. Nobody's gonna care. I predict that not only will this be the biggest box office hit of the summer, but it will be the biggest box office hit of the year. You remember what happened last time all the ventures or at least half of them seem to turn to dust than die mean? Now have those ventures that are left to signing if they can beat the evil fan. He so evil will the adventures be wiped out forever. Look how much money did these movies make I'm saying why would you basically kill the golden goose? This is going to continue in some way, we all know it. So what else is out there? I'm looking at my list. There's a major thing going on now of in terms of taking the Disney slash Pixar animated classics and turning them into live action movies. So we have The Lion King line king. One of the most successful Disney animated movies ever is now being done as a live action movie. You have Donald Glover being Simba. You have James Earl Jones actually being this father and the same scores. They're the same using. And it's directed by John Fabbro who did such a great job with the jungle book doing the same thing that I think we can all feel optimistic about what's going to happen. And then we have Aladdin when we remember the. Animated movie who do we remember the most? We remember Robin Williams doing the voice of the genie. This time doing the voice of the genie and being the genie. We have Will Smith. So big stars in this big kind of thing, they tried it with Dumbo earlier this year, and that didn't quite work the way they wanted to do. But we're talking about lying king and the Ladan so big deal. Now, what terms of old fashioned animation is out there. I don't know if you're like me. But there's a Toy Story four toy stories always been my favorite of those Pixar. There's something about Woody and buzz light year, and you're probably saying to yourself. Well, and Toy Story three didn't it happen. That would he said goodbye, Andy. And he went to college, and it was all over remember. There was little Bonnie Andy gave his toys too. So we're going to have little Bo peep comeback. I think when you look at what goes on in Toy Story, you have that kind of feeling of goodness of field. Goodness, but done with all the magic of Pixar. So if those adventures out there are going to have a run for their box office money. I would say Toy Story. Four is going to be the one that does it. So what else we now have men in black men in black international? You're not gonna see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones anymore. But this time you have Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. As new agents who are out there in this men in black universe. Sometimes you say to yourself do I want more of that? And you never know to actually see it. And I can only tell because I haven't seen this movie yet. But it looks like there's chemistry there. Then we have Spiderman far from home. You know, the Spiderman franchise never seems to end either. But we have Tom Holland who played him last time charmingly, I think, but now spider man, Peter Parker. They're taking a European vacation and the villain that they run up against is mysterious. Played by Jake Jilin. All I just think they're still some special sauce in the Spiderman universe, and I expect this one to also be a major hit. Godzilla Godzilla king of the monsters. I see that. And I go how much can they work this poor God's, but you can look at the trailer and see it. I like the idea that aside from viewer for Megan who is in it, Billy Bobby Brown from stranger things is in its she the dynamo. So if God Zillah can basically meet his match betting on little Millie to do something with that Hobbes and Shaw, this is fast and the furious you remember the rock of playing the the law man, and Jason stefon playing the outcast and the rebel these guys. I don't know if this is Hollywood kind of thing, but they tell us that Jason stadium and the rocked wing Johnson. Don't really like each other. And maybe that what the reason we love these characters and show so much because we liked that conflict. I don't know it seems a PR stunt to me, but I'm going to be there because this cars. There's the rock and their Stefa. So you're going to be there to and you know, it, oh and the big deal. Now, everybody has just in the midst of welcoming game of thrones back to their lives. The last season of that. You can't bear to live in a world where you can't see the stark sisters anymore. Well, now, you can dark Phoenix, which is part of the X men universe. Bring Sophie Turner, and she's Jean grey this character that we've seen before. But she's this younger version of her and she split between the good side of her and the dark Phoenix side of her. And to me, these girls are tremendously talented in what they do on game of thrones. And I think we're going to keep seeing them through the years, but her sister her at least game of thrones sister, maisy Williams is in new mutants part of that universe too. But in this case, they're all new characters to do this. They're all gonna be in the X men universe. Doing it. So that's it for the blockbusters that are out there. You've got everything from animation to comic book characters to everything. And that's the stuff that you hear about that your friends are going to talk to you about. But there's gotta be other stuff to part of summer is comedy of. I think we all really have gone through a long winter. And we're saying make us laugh give us something that will just make say, whatever. I can just sit back and not think. So what's there for that? There's a movie called longshot. This is a movie in which Charlotte Theran is playing the secretary of state who is running for president. But falling Manley in love with who staff throw in. Okay. It's like, a beauty and the beasts thing going on here. Seth Rogan is her speechwriter all of her people say what are you doing? You're going to destroy your career. But no, it's love. And if you don't laugh at the combination of Seth Rogan, Charlie staring. There's nothing left for you. And then we have the hustle. The hustle is a movie that used to be called dirty run scoundrels where the old days it was about conman. Now, it's con- women. They're played by Anne Hathaway and rebel Wilson. And they basically go all cross the continent finding rich people whose money they can steal pretty people. Glamour? What's wrong with that? Oh, book smart. This is directed by the actress Olivia Wilde, and it's about girls graduating from high school and saying we spent all our lives with our head in the books. Everybody else is going to parties and having fun. So they're going to do that beanie Feldstein plays one of them. She is the sister of Jonah hill and real life and Jona hill did super bad. This is kind of the women's version of super bad everything in it works, like a charm. You're really going to like that one. Then we have a movie called late night. This is about the TV talk show world and Emma Thompson plays. Probably the only woman on late night TV who hosts her own show, but she's got only men on her writing staff, and then she hires Mindy Kaeling who also wrote the screenplay of this movie, very very funny about what happens when you put women into what basically has been. A male bass they end of doing this. And the combination of Mindy king writing for the great Emma Thompson and watching them perform together is just so you've got to see that one to my favorite kind of thing. The dead. Don't die. You've got to admit that is a great and funny title. It comes from the indie, directing great, Jim Jarmusch. And it's cut people like Bill Murray and Adam driver by zombies. Okay. If Bill Murray is going to go out there and get laughs. Sizing up zombies. I'm going to be there watching him do it. So we have a good chance for laughs horror. I've got to talk about it now because it's not just the Cajun. Oh movie harm movie that makes money any makes people talk and get happy. It's they're everywhere. Now child's play do you? Remember the old child's play movies where you had Chucky. The crazy nut doll that. Always terrified me. Just. This doll who looks kind of little bit weird and freckly, but he has a voice on him like a longshoreman guess who's doing the west now of Chucky Marquel? Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker. And from what I've seen of it in. It's just been a little bit of it. It's wonderfully malevolent, so I'm going to be there to see that one. Then there's Annabel comes home. Another doll another possess doll also part of the conjuring universe where a viewer for Megan Patrick Wilson. "Seven o'clock now before we get outta here. Speaking of Mark Levin, he has a show on Fox News every weekend, and he had Curt Schilling the greater Boston Red Sox pitcher. I think if I'm not mistaken, Curt Schilling also pitched for Philly, Danny so he had to Curt Schilling on and essentially schilling said, I am not in the hall of fame because I am a Trump supporter. Trump's gonna win in two thousand twenty just there's just no feasible way unless the Russians and Democrats get together again and try and rig another election. No tomorrow afternoon. The class of two thousand nineteen for the baseball hall of fame will be announced and this guy Curt Schilling figures to be very close to the seventy five percent voting threshold for induction. This is Curt Schilling. Remember, the this is I don't know how. How big of a baseball fan you are. But the bloody sock game when he was pitching in the World Series for the Boston Red Sox. That's that's remember Curt Schilling as being a row gamer and a guy that would tough it out. And he was a terrific pitcher bevy of knowledge not really, but I do remember that game. And I remember seeing the bloody sock which by the way, if I'm not mistaken is in the hall of fame, curt schilling's bloody sock is in the hall of fame. Curt Schilling is not but the bloody sock is anyway. So he says to Mark Levin, obviously on his FOX show over the weekend. He said the president is in fact going to be reelected, and then they brought up. The fact that conservatives, you know, it's a tough row to hoe. Nowadays as conservatives. We're up against a group of people who don't have any forethought don't think ahead. You can't in any realistic scenario in the real world play out, this socialist dream and come to a conclusion that's benefits the people it's never worked anywhere ever. There's no example where you can say they love to point to Scandinavia Scandinavia. All the other things, and they don't realize first of all it doesn't scale. So Curt Schilling your member he got fifty two percent of the Bank in two thousand sixteen that was his fourth year of eligibility that year. Unfortunately, Kirch was fired from ESPN after an anti transgender social media post and later that same year. He re tweeted an image of a t shirt suggesting that journalists be lynched on the next ballot 2017 his support dropped to forty five percent. And that total bounce back to fifty one percent last year in two thousand eighteen but he claims he's definitely being cast aside by the electorates because he is in fact, a conservative part of it is I mean, it's not a guest the people that have not voted for me specifically because of the things I've said or did they've said it they've about come out and said I can't vote for him. Because of what he said or what he did in. The hall of fame is not filled was perfect human beings. You know, even back to the early days. A lot of those guys weren't exactly perfect human beings. Tycom one coming to mind, first and foremost, my Detroit Tigers, I was a very young boy when I used to watch Ty Cobb. Yeah. And he would slide in the second base sharpened spikes and try to take the opposing second baseman out. I mean, he was a nasty nasty dirty. And personally, it was very nasty man to the not really sport. Jackie robinson. If you know what I'm saying. And there's a terrific movie with Tommy Lee Jones L where he plays Cobb the movie's called Cobb. It's just a great Tommy Lee Jones movie every Tommy Lee Jones is a great one guy that I used to watch. I'm with you on most movies. I'll watch Tommy Lee Jones. It's been years since I've seen it. It makes you want to cut down on my cigar smoking. And if you ever see the movie, you'll know why? Okay. But Tommy Lee Jones seems to be terrific in that that role especially cop Nana remaining moments. I don't have time to get into a lot of this. But I've been urged. Watch call my mother-in-law and asked her to set the DVR tonight. So I can watch celebrity big brother.

Emma Thompson is joining new 'Men in Black' spinoff

"Let's move on to some spinoff news. The men in black spinoff is gearing up in. We have learned the Emma Thompson is joining the cast reprising her role from par three. Ben tell us about it yet. That's basically all we know from this one is that is that Emma Thompson who played agent zero in twenty twelve's men in black three is going to be coming back to reprise that role the so we know that agents era was sort of like the leader of the men in black. She took over that role after rip torn who played Zad in the first two movies. I guess he died in the third entry. It's been so long since I've seen men in black three, I thought at once in the theaters and basically just completely forgot about the movie. I know involved time travel. There's a lot of weird stuff going on that, but Emma Thompson is great. I mean, any movie that that adds her. I mean, like she automatically makes everything better. She's an Oscar winning actress and Oscar winning screenwriter the I think the second time that she will be returning to play the same character in a popular film franchise because she was also in the Harry Potter movies. So we know that she's the leader of the men in black and also Liam Neeson has been added to the cast of this spin off. We knew about that, but he is going to be playing the. Leader of the London branch of the minimum black and this spin off or reboot, or whatever it's going to be is supposed to take the action to more global scale. So maybe the two of them are going to. I don't know if they, they could have a big business meeting about how they're going to run the minimum black on a global scale. I don't know exactly if they're going to interact in person or share the screen. But if they do it, don't make a nice nice little reunion for them because they were both in love. Actually back in two thousand three now, did we always know that this is going to be said in the same universe? I mean, I, it is a spin off, but it's kind of a bit of a reboot as well. Did you connections? I mean, I think they, they have not said whether or not Will Smith or Tommy Lee Jones. The stars of the the first three movies are going to be coming back, but I would not rule out a quick cameo from them. I think just I guess because I haven't set it on this episode. Chris Hemsworth antenna Thompson are leading the cast in this new edition, but. But yeah, I think this is the first official connection we have between this new movie and the the original trilogy. So I don't know. I mean, that certainly opens the door for the possibility of a cameo before wills Mathur Tommy Lee Jones and now that, yeah, now that we know it's one hundred percent set in that same universe. I'm going to predict right now that Will Smith appears either in one of the final two scenes of the movie or in an after cry or cry in credits. Seen that that's my prediction Mark down. Yeah, let's move onto Hamilton which might be headed to the big screen sooner than we think, but not as we had hoped Chris toilets, but it. Yes, everyone knows Hamilton, it's a huge, hit a Pulitzer prize winning musical. Everyone knows what it is even if you don't follow Broadway news and as is the case with most big musicals it's only a matter of time before Hollywood comes calling and turns this into a big movie and we had assumed it would take a while for this just because the film is the place still running and they don't wanna, you know, have it have the movie competing with the play. They want to get as many people at the play as possible. But now comes word there is going to be a film sooner than we thought, but it's not going to be the big Hollywood remake of the play instead right before Lin Manuel, Miranda the creator and original star of Hamilton. Left's the original cast along with pretty much all the original started to leave in two thousand sixteen. They recorded a alive performance with the entire original..
