Eight don't even need to say that but might as well. That's where we're getting old man but we have a great show for you today. great show. We're gonna talk I grammar segment and we got. We're gonna talk to greg. Edwards about some hampton. Heat action. This saturday so we want to try to help langley speedway out. Yeah give them some. We give them some level love but i tell you what they've given themselves a lot of love on social media man all the stuff that they've produced leading up to this event. Man it's been frigging awesome to see the car county highest car camp. They've had and a lot and while still the graphics and stuff coming out I think it was last night. You're gonna have a different brain and brown in booth with them this way back in texas. Yeah they're flying to texas on south super super bombed that i couldn't be there for the for the hampton heat Gotta work in texas this weekend but they They replaced brandon brown with another brandon. Brown guest announcer xfinity series driver brandon brown going to be there. So that's going to be another cool layer. He's racist in the ham heat before which to be honest with you. He is taking his sponsor. Larry's har- lemonade. Yep and he's going to do a signing saint george on friday so saint george brewery. And then he's going to do a signing autographs session autograph session at Meet-and-greet whatever you wanna. Call it at langley on saturday. And i guess they say well the other brand brown camby here. We'll get the real the real. But that's that's i mean. That's super cool. Because they've got that Larry's hard lemonade party area over there. That that just feels fantastic so Just a natural way to kick off that race and I mean obviously the racing's going to be phenomenal there One of the josh josh. Perry's gonna be there. They announced that last Last weekend's all yeah so he figured he'd come on come on up and play with the Play with two boys at langley. That's going to be fantastic and I mean i'm going to be in texas for that race but You bet your ass. I'm going to be watching it on track. Pass speaking of texas. You went down there and work this weekend. Yeah quote unquote unquote art work. And you went. You went to your first to wrestling show. Yes so So we we got there and the new the new boss man he Was like oh. Go to wrassling tonight. And i was like yeah. Eve- surprised us with tickets to money in the bank Review wwe the first one with fans back down in fort worth texas. And i mean it was. It was a research trip we went to. We went to see you know the show that they put on put on a production of and if you're gonna learn from anything you can actually learn a lot from wrestling. Sure you can actually go when i say you look at their social media. Look at their way they broadcast. They were one of the first networks on the internet that they've they've been ahead of the curve so many different things and i mean. That's kind of what we did when i when i got there followed all the the wwe Channels on social media. I push notifications on my phone to get whenever they posted which is a lot and they turn stuff around so quickly. The content is boom boom. Boom everything you can imagine on all channels but I mean the production value the the they have this thing down to an art and a science and you feel like this event is huge and big and larger than life and on a you know obviously on a smaller scale but i feel like that's what von has been doing with the with the hampton heat i mean covering all your bases like the the promotional video the drone shots of the track the graphics for every driver. That's going to be in the field. Hyping this event up to make it larger than life because it is. It is one of the biggest events in the state of virginia in motor sports. And you know bummed. It can't be there. But i can't wait to watch it. You know it was one of the first to do the driver things were you. Were you here well. What does the i'm gonna tell you. The what he is now. This week is our last couple of weeks and awesome awesome and upset so y- fire. Yeah it's not literally but he's it might be hottest racist actually. It's hot this weekend. I think they're going to get a reprieve. Are they really like mid eighties well. That's that's springtime weather coup normally. It's like a hundred and twenty. Yeah but but as we're talking about the hampton this saturday adult tickets twenty bucks military eighteen seniors eighteen kids just seven dollars and they got a family four-pack for forty five dollars. If you get your family together neo four of you come on down to delta. Two kids racing will start Believe right after sir. Let me make sure of that. Really quickly. I got the website up rate here yup the driver intros. We'll start right around eight fifteen and pre-race ceremonies at eight thirty so hate that he will start Right around eight forty five but get there early. They'll have a bunch of stuff going on of and and just enjoy yourself the absolutely hope. Hope they have the kind of crowd that south boston hoping that they will but Speaking of big deals on new hampshire. That does beautiful. I wish one of these days. I'm gonna go up there as it looks up their bill. Goes you have no idea how hard it is to get to that track middle nowhere. He said it's not near anything passed a little bit. It's absolutely gorgeous and it was and the racing thought was good. Yeah all all got some modified fans up there and do those mods where he used to sponsor tommy baldwin. But he we were. We were watching it. And he goes to places that those mobs put on a hell of a race or at new hampshire and richmond So you're going to want to be at richmond for this one ten. Yeah for the the wheel unmodified returning. Hope hope hope we get ryan preece in the field. I don't know why we wouldn't have ryan anyway. Yeah it's not one. And he watched it highlighted that greenway checkered band that dropped from the top to bottom a double gas in the leaders. Taking the wind man. He's awesome I think the biggest thing coming out of new hampshire this weekend and we're going to talk about it in our commonwealth closer race control. The top two cars wrecked out after a couple of apps so because of weather so little context. If y'all which. I don't know if you motor sports fans how you missed it but.

Still, Larsen's not able to close in, but he too wanted to get through this like traffic as Alex just did. Next point on the hit list will be Ryan Newman for Alex Bowman Newman not having a very good day. He is three laps down. 32 to go. Let's follow the leader. Off of turn Number two. That leader is Alex Bowman. He'll bring that purple, black and white Chevy Camaro to the back straightaway, And now he's starting increase the league. It's almost at the distance of the back straightaway. That's how quick Alex Bowman is getting around this racetrack. It wasn't all that long ago that Alex Bowman Was a driver that was this struggling trying to find somebody to give him an opportunity drove for Tommy Baldwin racing a handful of races and did what we called in those days start and park just to try to get the team a little extra money where they can buy some more tires to potentially run maybe two or three races down the line. Suddenly he gets the opportunity to be a test driver or the simulation driver at Hendrick Motor Sports and on the horizon when Dale Earnhardt Jr was contemplating retirement, Rick Hendrick told Alex Bowman You stick around. You stay with me and continuing this role and I'll reward you. Good enough so much that they decided to let him be the driver to take over the 48 that surefire NASCAR Hall of Famer Jimmie Johnson had been piloting and those famous numbers on the side and rooftop of that race car. Alex Bowman had to jump in and again, Jeff try to feel enormous shoes, even though he's his own guy, and this is just a number changed for he and that race team that used to be the number 88 car. It's still that number 48. That brings a stigma along with it, where race fans and people expect winds and quite frankly championships out of that race car. Well, that number has seven championships associated with it, with Jimmy Johnson talking about the 28 year old driver. Come to Sun Arizona and Mike Bagley. Way in. But let's let's let's go back and let's talk a little about how you got your start in racing and following in dad's footsteps well was around all my life. You know the day. I was born and may my brothers. We never did go down in the garage. My you know to watch my day to work on your car. He always had about a group of guys down as you know that helped him and so we didn't really hang out too much but we went to all the research and i never dreamed on a bill to raise call we. "We got to Randy Hallman storytime with rain home Levi Crown one, thousand, nine year. Old Kid. that. Races up at Winchester speedway. We haven't talked a lot about winchester and we need to. It hasn't been done out of malice. It just seems that the asphalt world right now has been. Almost say fire. Yeah but they've had. I. Mean The national the National Championship for Advanced Auto. Parts weekly series. Has Been in our backyard the whole time. Yeah. Experience. Peyton sellers I mean it come down to that this weekend. They were at Langley. Yes they were and. Dominion was Nice Enough I think to cancel their racing. so that everybody could go because you know saw Dan Danielson factory with his first ever late model race at Langley got to talk to him down there he was he was real. Happy. afforded. Was Awesome Texted me like two days before he. He's like, what are you doing Saturday. Nothing it's like you won't come down and I'm like, yeah let's do it so. Colleges that colleges paying off finally finally Or something. But that was that was a ton of fun getting to go down there and hone my craft. At it and I think that that's what we've you know we've tried to do is cover that the at those tracks right now that are. That are are racing and we should have been talking about winchester proudly more at the beginning of the season but that's my problem has fault. It's okay I don't think I've ever told you this before but winchester speedway Winchester Virginia speedway was my first ever trip to a race track when I was like six or seven years old that's cool a little dirt in your vein I do. Out and started out. Good. He was on the dark side for a little bit I just until I made my first trip to raise away a couple of years. Is that. Is that like surreal to have your I probably cup race be in Richmond, and now you work for Richmond it. This might sound corny but that trip to Richmond raceway basically dictated the rest of my life up to this point I loved it that that is really so cool. Again we talked a lot of great racing. This past weekend. Langley. Phenomenal races joss Berry came out with two wins which may have locked up. Yeah. The National Title I. Don't know I don't know amy because a lot of times they see it can go down to the last few weeks and I'm not sure win the cutoff is. Pretty close and especially with the you had the top two in the national standings peyton sellers and Josh Berry. Josh Berry has lead obviously. Racing against each other at the same time, which is really really cold AC-. You know how? They did it last week at Dominion and? Jasper. Adam cover there, and then he wants at title bands he wants to. Tell you who else wanted his car owner. Yeah Dale Juniors. True. He said he thought that winning the. Martinsville three hundred. Was The pinnacle of coolness. And success in the limited in late milestone. He goes and here we are Josh Perry we could be net he goes we could be national champions that's he is so stoked about it but and that's cool and that's cool to see that that. The predominant voice I would say in the sport of Nascar are, is that stoked about racing at that level and that team which has been great all year long Other than that Franklin County had a great weekend. They had late models there and. And that's not a regular division by the way folks late models, and so they brought them back in the car counts are climbing for this that's fantastic for them to, and they also had the stadium modified. On. That because places fast. And those those stadium modified the we the the wheel I call them the wheel and modified still. Those stadium modifies just frigging awesome I. Don't think I've seen. I don't think I've seen one of those races yet. Person and by the way connection to the those type of cars. Okay. The the the wheeling bonds column because they they normally, they're mostly found up North Connecticut. Those areas of Ryan Priests May yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. Yes. He? Made his name in that series connection with that division has a connection with rich win the sawyers owned. Richmond raceway. They sponsor Tommy Baldwin Yup interesting little connection there. So Tommy Ball went senior. So. I mean, they're they're just a great. division to watch race they know those stadium modifies normally race at Bowman Gray. And you got to see him on that track man. Only In Front of twelve thousand fans, everything. That is by far the craziest track. You could ever go to and watch a race because every week for a weekly show twelve, thousand people still that's cool. But it's also attract that is in the dead center of three million people. This bowman gray has done a great job. The hatfields, McCoy, kind of thing. They have some families there bowman graded hate each other they show it on a racetrack and in the pit sometimes so. I've seen a few I've seen seen a few fights in the grandstands and how much do you think? that. Connection to Franklin County out, bring it up for a couple of races hopefully hopefully, that will come to hopefully that will continue the Frank Kennedy still bring them once boming rig. It's back underway. Y-. The social media world is lit right now folks. Because of I saw it. Because of what? TALLADEGA These play races always bring out the the hate. The. CONTROVER- controversy. You're always talking about. So freaking upset that Maddie dating get down man the wood brothers hundred win was right there I. Mean. I thought he was I. thought he was I get it. I thought it was going to tell up until turn three when it all started to go wrong. My still thought that he might get the win because I thought. That they would they were going to rule that Denny Hamlin. Went below the yellow line that he actually drove. But that wasn't the rule. The rule was that he kinda. He got forced down there down that way and they deemed it to be. A. I gotta look at how he was forced. Down their. Happy for Denny Hamlin. Exactly. Are Gutted for the wood brothers and Matt Bennett because at least Virginia driver one that's true. is true and we get To See Matt di come this close once again even though they deemed him to have pushed the twenty four car in and he got twenty.

"I'll I forgot to write down. He works for some seats, I. It's okay because it was my first note. I'm a lean on you on that because you're the. Guy That's okay. I can do that. So. We're going to have him. We're GONNA have obviously storytime with Randy home and yeah I can't wait to listen to another one of his yarns as as we. You know delve into some of the old school racing stories his past, and then we'll finish it up with brandon good dough vic who recently got hired by Sam Hunt racing to race the road course at. It's going to be doing a couple of races with him I believe and Thirty eighth to twelve. So yeah, there and with limited practice. Well. Once once we go into the interview, understand why he he has become a road course ace. And so. So. We'll have him. But obviously the the the show starts on a somber moment we we lost One of motor sports great ambassadors. SHORT-TRACK I should say and this this this past Saturday night at Langley speedway Lord I don't know if I can talk about it. Sean Belluzo. died from injuries. Resulting from a a wreck he had turned to. and The the whole short-track, Virginia short-track community, and even national humidity is is mourning his passing. it is It is never great to have to talk about. Someone losing their life. We know this is a dangerous sport. But when it touches home so close. When it? You know when you know the purse I known Sean Probably. Over. Twenty years One of the most genuine. People you'd ever. WanNa meet. And I am kicking myself in the teeth because he's on my list of guys to interview. And literally. Changed up having him last week. On the show because modified were coming at Langley, and him being a ten time champion going for eleven. Now. I'm beyond with him. Really it it it. It tells me in my head that if I have if if I have an idea of someone. To be on the show I need to get him on the show just don't don't put it off. Shawn never refused an interview with me. I mean never and I, and that goes all the way back to my asphalt radio show ahead. Here's a huge advocate racing in the state of Virginia especially Langley speedway. You could find him on a regular basis at Virginia Motor speedway. If their division was often we had a special event, he would definitely be there. But there are multiple times a saw him and Terry. and a another group of of Langley folks sitting in the grandstands watching are racing and he had always. Mentioned to me because I always gave him crap in know hey, why don't you come race over here and he goes man he is I've done just about everything I can at Langley I'm. I'd love to do that. He just never got the chance and. Had A tough year His daughter Bryce. Was a last year was In the hospital for Pediatric Leukemia of which she has beat. And The kind of father he was brandon. Is Amazing that may have spent. Majority of his evenings when Bryce. was in the hospital staying up there in the hospital at night. Him and Terry both and they're just great people. Terry is office or has been working as the office manager for Langley speedway for years now. But To hear that. I didn't actually hear it Saturday night I got a text from. My buddy arrest wiles who was. had. His first GIG back announcing. After having not announce for a couple of years and this is what he you know and he sent me a text and I know you're kidding me and then opened up social media. It was all over the place and I just that had that sinking. Feeling it must stomach. Stomach it was just I don't know how to explain it I. I've been I've known. A lot of driver you know I've been embiid in the business long enough. There's been a lot of drivers at passed away. It's only a few that I really knew. Tommy Baldwin passed away in in his. Wheel in modified up north I remember getting that night because. Virginia. More speedway was spots him in Richmond. Raceway used to sponsoring when the sawyers own the facility so. That was a rough night. because. He He. As rough and As. He felt he was kind of everybody. kind of he's big. You know Tommy Baldwin. He's he's a big dude. And bill and him were had been friends for years and. So any bill bought Virginia Marsh, we just transferred the. Sponsorship. You know to to our track but. It hasn't felt. As Personal. As Losing Sean. I feel so much my heart breaks for for -Tarian and the three kids. I just I literally am at a loss for words I I'm sitting here. "In to 97.3 HD to then sit back and immerse yourself in innovation on site. Late afternoon seeks like 400,000 people. Well, people there. That's what happened yesterday at the Brickyard, which is the NASCAR race that they run. At Indy. Kevin Harvick, who's having a great season one, but Matt Kenseth ran second. They kept saying that retired. He never really retired. He lost his ride, and he said he was in didn't have an active ride. Came back and drove it slinger, but he didn't retire. He was always open to coming back. And then Kyle Larson had the problem which he made the racist comments and chip can ask you fired him, and they put Matt in the car ahead. I ran second. Yes, They're the hope issue with that race, And it's a problem that IndyCars had there forever is that it's a tract that's often very hard to pass on. It's not a wide track it You know some of these tracks you see him for wide You can't even effectively go three wide at India just a really hard time the past track to pass on, which is why they always care about track position. They don't change tires as much because handling Is as much an issue but Mac hung around there for a long time. It's possible the drivers who ran one tour the two oldest guys in the race. I don't know that for sure. But Matt's 48 Kevin Harvick's got to be up there. I don't know if Joe Nemechek was in the race for a couple of those other guys that are out there. It should also probably be mentioned an interesting tie end with A big slinger race being tomorrow night, the slinger nationals. Josh Maliki of Slinger finished 25th of that race. Josh, as you know, I got his first ride in a cup race. When he came on my program and look for a sponsor and found one noted he's been riding Part time for these small teams that are just good enough to get cars into the race, and they make enough money by having the driver go around the track for a while, but Tires are never fast enough to win, and hopefully it can hold it together long enough that you won't last. A lot of the cars that record come out of the race and so on and finishing 25th at the brick here. That's a 40 car field. That's very impressive end. Very good showing for him. In the meantime, you know, so Josh is from slinger Matt Kenseth has dominated the slinger nationals like almost No. One. When he's taken party always wins. I don't believe any either of them will be taking part in the event. Tomorrow night would have been picking up from people. Maybe John Wyatt knows something Is that Steve Appeals but driving like a freak this year at slinger, so maybe one of the local guys will pull it up. I think time. Majesky Who's Sort of a national guy is going to be in there and looking at the entry list it, says Sauder. What which one of the 97 Saudis? Is that? A reference to her? Just maybe there's an assumption that somebody named Sauder will show up. But anyways, a good race day for Wisconsin racers at Indy, even if there weren't any fans there at the Brickyard to watch the race. 5 18 NEWS talk 11 30 W. It's time for rapid trafficking up to speed. Now as to when is the Elkhart Lake IndyCar weekend this weekend? That's this weekend's right and fans are Welcome. And is there going to be Ah, nah Scar Xfinity race this year. Yes, that is in August. I forget the exact that once in August, so the two big, I guess. Yeah, The two big weekends are still to come and is the Indy car going to be one of these where they run two races in the weekend? It ISS this Saturday and Sunday. Both. They run basically the whole shooting match each day so they'll do practice qualify and race on Saturday practice. Qualifying race and any other circuits like Indy lights or any of them that there are two junior circuits that are going to be there. Any lights canceled their whole season just like yeah, but there'll be two. There's two lower levels of the ladder system, and there's also a classic IndyCar. Groups. That's going both weekends that I'm guess that you could buy either one of either day or buy a weekend. You gotta buy him ahead of time because they're doing they're trying to do a whole contactless thing when you show up, So you have your bio and print him ahead of time and then show up in the Scania. But otherwise, you know, the only thing they ask is Like when you go into the concession stands, you bring a mask. But other than that, it's wide open. You watch the IndyCar racist that I did Brick brick yard yesterday. The Indy cars on Saturday, right? Yeah, The Xfinity has had a great race to that. What? I didn't see I was I always tune it now because I can't watch a NASCAR race start to finish, But I've got the app. I always know. I try to keep tabs of when the races and like halfway through I check and see who's doing what. And I saw the Kent this cancer. The driving well Harvick and Hamlet has just dominated everything this year, and they were the best to Kaiser Mac Kinda just survived. It just wasn't good enough. To be the only other guy that was faster than him. On the track, but we're glad that Josh Blake, he's hanging in there because he's tryingto he I mean, he's going week to week. There's a bunch of guys like that. You know who Dr for Tommy Baldwin and maybe Macleod and All these teams that are sort of And they're not really toe win, but in there to do as well as they can and keep running checks ing it. Sponsorships, but 25th and a car that Is it always going to finish the race? And he beat almost all the other guys? That Are in the category of guys and just jump in like him, But that's that's a tough way to run. A earn A living is trying to hold together a car that's not quite as fast as everybody else and get around the track as many laps as you want and You're at that level 25th is better than 29th. I mean, every positions more. Yeah, that's all you can do it. You're doing what you're what you're doing, but I have no matches for whether you call it retired or not. He wasn't driving at that level it all for a year and 1/2. And here he comes in at the age of 48 Well, it's tough because you lost the thing, especially because at least the guys who have been around you know for that whole year are ah little bit more experience with these cars because they are not allowed..

"And then getting that reality, check of okay now I'm back in Cup, and I'm running twenty seven twenty eighth every week on a good week man that was really difficult to do and see the most challenging part of that was still felt like as a driver. I was really a good spot and was really understanding race cars as good as ever had was understanding. Understanding of how to fill the positions, and when you look at the drivers right now I think there's evidence that I don't think no. There's evidence to back up the fact that a race car driver doesn't really make it to their peak in their prime until they're thirty eight to forty, two roughly is kind of the age bracket that I look at guys like Kevin Harvick and Martin tricks, junior, and on down the list which is. Is If. You think about how young Kyle Busch is. Still. That's kind of scary because he's got a lot of good years ahead of them in, and he's won a lot of stuff at this point, but I. do think that there's that prime and I just gotten to that prime, and you know the opportunities just didn't exist anymore. That's tough a few more things we'll wrap it up with back to television stuff about twenty seventeen years one. One of the first drivers who doing analysis on race hub, but for people who don't know, break it down who approach to to move you to pit road and youtube become a pit reporter. You know I don't even know I. Don't even know how that happen. I was doing man. I'm trying to think back. Quick my brain here in probably UNIM- bad as I do that, but I was doing the analyst role I want to say. Say the first year started. That was actually two thousand fifteen when I was in the xfinity series and I I would go in and do it just as a they were Fox's early on in the stages of kind of tinkering with US drivers and I was the guy for extended segments. I would just come in I. Think I did it like four or five times throughout the course that year and do a little talking and say A. A little something about whatever and then in two thousand sixteen Tommy Baldwin Racing, they let me come in and start doing a little more of it and I'll start. Enjoy more I do it may be out on a monthly basis. Twelve thirteen of that year will then two thousand seventeen rolled around, and and again I was just going to run a part time truck schedule, and and didn't have anything really solid in two thousand, seventeen or Or official that I would be raised in and said Hey guys I. You know I'd love to start doing a little bit more if it's available on this up stuff, so that was when I really kinda started going there as one of their more frequent guests I, think I'd probably two or three times a month, and sometimes once a week. Even and he was one of the first guys box to my knowledge, there was other as..

"From my standpoint. That's what I did. The music had kind of stopped playing and the chairs were full in terms of cup rides, and really xfinity rides to at that point, it was at the end of fifteen was kind of a challenge to to find anything. There just wasn't a lot and I. Mean I was prepared to go into the start of the twenty sixteen season as a free agent, basically and just see how things went, and that was when I got a call from Tommy Baldwin it literally, this is no joke was two weeks before Daytona I mean. I, remember it was I wanna stay was actually like the Monday, after the broncos made it to the Super Bowl. I always tried to associate things with different moments in time, and people are pretty big broncos fan, so that was a pretty big week for me because they They won the Super Bowl I. WanNA point out also, but it was literally two weeks before Daytona and I. Drive my car and the time you gotta drive already and civil. Some stuff's going on and I need a driver. Can you come drama car and? It had to be one of those quick spur the moment decisions and Okay well I was either going to go into the season as a free agent without a ride or now a fulltime cup ride opens up and I think there's the opportunity to go out and help this team. Get better and help this team. Run better improve and naturally. That's it okay. You know that sounds like a plan. It wasn't like. To you know twenty second decision rested. Okay. Obviously, there's a lot going to a lot of processes that had to go into it, and making it all work needless to say agreed to it, and that was that that kind of sent me down the path of going to drive for him and. I think. That it was a challenging situation because the cup garage had become so tough at the time and I probably underestimated. How tough up garage was right then in terms of how much the equipment Matt how much the driver could make up and what the differences were and you know I. Just I felt like I could maybe run twenty fifth every week twentieth to twenty six every week in the reality. Reality was was that wasn't going to be the case and man that made for. We had some good runs at your, but you expect to expect to have multiple good runs after a couple of them, and it was just a absolute grind on some weeks, just on twenty fifth, and I think that that was kind of I opening to me as to where the Cup gratin and or the. Baby separation and equipment was at the time and I've been in the good stuff and I've been in the bad stuff and I definitely think that it's easier to be in a program. That's trying to build to get better when you're younger than it is. Maybe when you're older when you happen in when you're older, and you've been in that really good stuff. It's always tough to tell yourself flake. Hey, that's okay. This is something that we can't fix her. This is something that we can fix and I think somebody else could probably give you. A good perception of that would be Clint Boyer. Won't he opted the Harry Scott stuff he did that? In Two thousand, sixteen and Clinton raced around each other a lot that year and there's some things that the small teams just are not gonna be able to do explains can do and again as driver. You think you're superman. You can make up for some of that stuff and the reality is that you really can't so that was tough for me from a standpoint knows. Thinking I was my best was running for championship winning races at Jared M.,.

"But he said he wants to come back if they can get I hope they do get sponge should because I would much rather see a car with somebody and full time than just, you know, whoever shows up with a check in their hand and give week. Yeah. But at the same time check is nice. I guess check. Check in check in in the hand is pretty nice guess, I don't know. Wait a minute. I don't know. Well, checking the hands very nice. Yes. Yes. For us. It is. But I mean when it comes to competition in NASCAR, that's not. I mean, nobody's gonna by themselves of win from Rick ware racing. No, not even require not even require combine a win. You know, CISCO's right back to they would be a prime candidate already in the extend these areas, but they should be spending. All that time and effort and money making a really kick ass xfinity team, especially since have rows to worry about. They don't have a Guinness story about like the playing field is wide open there. It's just JR motorsports. You've got to compete with now. Yeah. So do that. I don't do this do that. Money. They spend on that damn charter. They can put together a kick ass like new program for their their extended team or their truck team or whatever. It just frustrates me. Ryan treks is going to try to qualify for the Daytona five hundred in two thousand fourteen he tried because that was was happy. K b que did he do became? I think the became racing for year in two thousand fourteen that's highly possible. And but he didn't qualify for Daytona. So he's that never actually raised the Daytona five hundred. So he's going to drive the seventy one for Tommy Baldwin. They're coming back part time. They do not have a charter anymore. Even though back in the day. They did. So they're coming back. Ryan trucks coming back. I mean, if you're talking about I don't get a sound kind of hypocritical here because it's just talking about Rick ware racing in them. Like what the hell man, if you're gonna have like an owner comeback and try and make Daytona and a driver trying to a form. I would that's combination. I like to see Tommy Baldwin Brian treks. Let's see what we can do. Yeah. And you just hope the Tommy Baldwin's genius hasn't driven by the wayside either. Yeah. So I mean, we seen that we've seen that many timers always back. He's doing great. Oh, what everything's past them by now, he he says he wants to ultimately go racing full-time again, if you can get something together to do that. He's gonna have to pair with somebody like Ryan treks or some sort of incomer, and then stick to it and get some sort of result. Somehow, you know. Yeah. That's the problem is is you're gonna have to stick to your guns and hope for the best and try to convince golden corral keep going. Yeah. Yeah. So, but if they can if they can get a good finish or to the maybe the parlay in the something who knows? Yeah. I'm speaking of buying rides Joey gays. Going to run time in xfinity the season fantastic idea, by the way, he's going to run a full xfinity. Schedule for 'em B M motor sports than number thirty five then they will also mbmers going to run the sixty six part time in the Cup series case will get some races there..

"Find a driver and sponsorship for their seventy two. So they can drive this season as well. So those are your four teams have charters. They're looking for drivers. There is nobody not a single NASCAR media member that knows as much as Toby Christie about the lower teams. It's it's astonishing. Well, it's so in the article, I kind of luted too. I think that the seventy two car makes the most sense they had some sponsorship in place with joy last year when joined move to thirty two in the offseason, he took Schlueter systems with him. So that sponsorships gone. I know they have run I water heaters that they've had last couple of seasons. So if they stay on board, maybe a little extra sponsorship for Mike Wallis could make the deal happen that would get to back on track. I really don't see either any of these options being a good option for fifty nine year old trying to work as way back in the sport. None of these teams are. Gonna be race winning the only one that would even have a chance the seventy seven, and it's a very small chance. Because again, it's an upstart team. They've bought no resources that we know of they just have a charter. So this doesn't look like it's a very good idea. If I'm being honest, but we'll see what happens like, you're speaking another language. Okay. I don't know any of those numbers or bouncers or teams that you just mentioned, I just know Jimmy Johnson right ally Bank in. So when you go to this show care, you're going to see a very long audio clip of me talking right there. So it'll be fun again. Again. It's like you're taking over. Yeah. This is becoming the Toby Christie weekly. Maybe you should just, you know, take over the whole hosting part. Just everything you just I'll just face it back and agree and say Jimmy Johnson once in a while Jimmy Johnson, right? Tommy Baldwin racing which wasn't around last year. Right. They're they're back there. They nabbed Ryan treks to drive for the team in the upcoming twenty nineteen Daytona five hundred Ryan's gonna take the wheel there. Seventy-one Chevrolet and his second career tempt at the sport's biggest event yet he will. Then that's really good deal for me was released from filter. Lee filter racing over there in the number eleven teams. That's a bummer, but he seems to at least found a Daytona five hundred ride possible future races. But the team this year as well. And weird thing down her junior posted on his Facebook account through his stories is that what it is stories as they do on Facebook. Anyway, he posted a quick little video of Jeb burden and Ryan tricks at the junior motorsport shop doing some seat fitting. So it looks like there might be some announcements coming there possibly junior motorsports. Revolved for rancher ex and Jeb Burton now. I think it's just juniors having a big Super Bowl or big game party. And so they're just getting the seats ready. Right. Nice. Catch there, by the way. So when this goes the radio, we won't get in trouble. Yeah. Yeah. Richard petty motorsports. The king ounce that drew Blekinge Durfee is leaving their famous number forty three Bubba Wallis Cup series car. They wish him well and said it out the door, son. No, they said they will announce a new Kurci at an appropriate time, which leads into the next story which Toby has right from rumors ports announced the crew chief lineup for the season.
