The Cowboys Figure out a Way to Win When Things Aren’t Perfect
"And the cowboys got that win. They did the. Nfl was a nailbiter seats. Wermer and i'm trying to think of other things you could apply to the cowboys first win of the season and it is here by the way we'll sort of like the open. It came down to the last few seconds that was greg's airline who was the goat. And i'm not talking about the greatest of all time. He was the goat after missing two field goal attempts to previous week against the buccaneers and appoint after temp but he was able to get it done yesterday. He lives in a he lives another week. And he's the guy. I mean he's he. He's a really good kicker. Although his quarterback dak prescott was Having to kind of watch from the sidelines go please please. Yes he kicked it. I mean Y'all's over there. Talking to omar checking on amar somewhat. Just trying to get my mind off of it. I guess obviously known in situation like that. You trust the teams and greg's are lying to put it through But yeah. I mean it was great. Obviously believing him make anyone did that and it was just a relief right. I mean the first one. I one a many in the first ones usually the hardest now. I'm not going to get into specifics. But there were some issues with clock management down in that final drive. The cowboys had it back with three minutes and change to go a lot more time than tom brady. Had the previous week when it was less than two minutes to go. But mike mccarthy and i don't know what was going on with keller more in their communication but they wanted to get a little farther down the field than having kick fifty six yarder but zor line had with his leg. Greg leg had more than enough distance yesterday that it could have gone farther than that than that if they needed it. I just know that. Mike mccarthy's happy to finally get this first one in the bow to come in here and win. This game was important on a number of
Panthers' Matt Rhule Is Making a Bid for Best NFL Coach This Season
"I wanna talk about the best young coach football. And it's not necessarily sean mcveigh. It's clear that it's not only an indictment on the new york jets operation. But what you're seeing was sam darnold in the carolina. Panthers is pretty remarkable the knock on darnold out of college there to know with too comfortable wins but the knock on darnold out of college and i watched every snap was his accuracy issues. What does he completing now. Seventy percent of his throws. He doesn't make mistakes total composure. It would be easy to just say. This is an indictment on the jets but instead of just the negative side. Let's look realistically at the positive side. Not only has met rule made darnold more comfortable. This defense has twenty one quarterback hits and ten sacks in two games. What does that tell you. The culture of the carolina. Panthers is headed in the right direction. It also tells you. This is a remarkable stat on matt rule. The coach carolina going back to the beginning of last year. You will not believe this. Carolina leads the nfl with the fewest. Three and outs that with teddy bridgewater and start with. Sam darnold. nothing about that not mahomes. Not lamar jackson. Not tom brady. Not derek carr not matt ryan not russell wilson not aaron rodgers. No the fewest three and outs matt rule. Teddy bridgewater and sam darnold but this is a offensive line. That outside of right tackle graded poorly left. Tackle all the way to right guard. What matt rule is doing with this sub optimal often. It's of line. The scarce number of three out the revamping rebooting of sam darnold is really mind-blowing

Why Won't GOP Leaders Condemn Gen. Milley?
"Where is lindsey graham. Where is john kent. Where are these republican leaders who ought to be full-throated condemnation of gener- general milley. Here's the here's the tucker clip in context people with oversight seemed to be on his side this morning. Tom cotton. The republican senator from arkansas came on fox and friends to talk about mark milley. Here's part of that conversation. This book raises some serious concerns. That some of the allegations seem somewhat farfetched to me. But general secretary austin are going to be testifying in front of congress and just a few days and we'll address these concerns. Don't wanna jump conclusions yet. I know he will address it and will ensure that he addresses it but this is one of those claims. Obviously that seems a little farfetched idea that in american military general is going to warn adversary if an attack is coming as you say when donald trump was never even thinking about a military attack against china. The whole thing is pretty far fetched. We don't want to jump to conclusions yet. Really what conclusions at the time. That interview took place this morning in an already been. Conclusively establish that mark milley was pushing open. Racism on the united states military that he had bragged to fellow officers about resisting. The american president quote with guns and that he had told military officials that he not. The president controlled our country's nuclear arsenal. So much more evidence. Do you need exactly. And why does no one in washington consider this a crisis. The leadership of the pentagon some of them anyway consta- through the united states seems right to me. And frankly from where. Republicans Stay Mum as Details Emerge About Gen. Milley's Call to China
"Beast has gone from claiming that the bob woodward book might be wrong about general milley to now outright defending general milley in calling china secretly and warning them that if we attack them he'll let them know in advance and did show behind the commander-in-chief's back and now the line of the narrative is. There's nothing really wrong with holy crap. Have we gone from zero to sixty and twenty four hours tucker asked a pretty pointed question last night where where are the republicans on this. Where's tom cotton. Where's lindsey graham. Where are where are these hawks when it comes to what appears to be a blatant direct in your face act of treason as detailed by a forthcoming book. I'm really baffled here.

"Welcome back america. I'm hugh hewitt. Thank you for joining me. On this thursday morning senator. Tom cotton from arkansas. Is my guest. Good morning senator. Thank you for joining me. Good morning to you. It's good to be on with you as always. I've got a lot of things to covering begin. Perhaps counter intuitively with your on the senate judiciary committee. I played part of your questioning of the nominee jennifer sung the night circuit. I would not vote to confirm anyone who signs such a letter. Will you know of course not huge. Jennifer song is a far left lawyer who signed a letter the day after brett cabinet. I was nominated. I think she called him intellectually and morally bankrupt and predicted that people will die if he's confirmed Look i'm saying disagreeing with kavanagh's rulings. When he was a judge now justice. I disagreed with the here and there as well Disagreed much. every justice's rulings here and there. So i'm a lot more than others. Obviously but i'm not aware why you probably morally bankrupt and it is sung obviously couldn't predict the person or the person who has died in the last three years we vertibrak break capping off to the court. I gotta say no. That's just the tip of the iceberg. The by the ministration has nominated dozens. Maybe hundreds of people whose twitter feed. Show them to be totally unhinged. Learning From Evolution With Evolutionary Biologists Bret Weinstein & Heather Heying
"You guys said that we are not a blank slate but we are the blanket of slates. Which i think is a phenomenal way to put this idea and wanna tie that to the title and get your guys as take so. It's hunter-gatherers guide to the twenty first century. and so the way that i take that is that notion. You have to understand that you're a product of evolution that your brain is a product of evolution and then once you understand the forces of evolution in how we got here. Then maybe just maybe we can find our way out of it. So what are the key elements to being a product of evolution. That you think people miss that we must understand if we're going to navigate our way well out of this valley of evolution. Let me say. I That the title hunter-gatherers guide to the twenty first century evokes that sort of romanticised hunter-gatherer on the african savannah of the paleolithic. Which of course is a part of our human history and does have many lessons in it to teach us about who we are now and who can become but as we say in the book we are all parts of our history like we are not just hunter-gatherers. We are also right now post industrialists and their evolutionary implications of that. Go a little farther back a lot. Farther back depending on your framing. And we are agriculturalists. Go farther back. Were hunter-gatherers go further back were primates were mammals. Were fish all of these moments of our evolutionary history We'll have left their mark in us and have something to teach us about both what our capacities are and what our weaknesses are and what we can do going forward. And i would add the lessons from evolution. are both good and bad here. One thing that we realized that our students over the course of many years of teaching this material realized was that everything about our experience as human beings is shaped by our evolutionary nature. And that has a very disturbing upshot because we are fantastic creatures with an utterly mundane mention the very same mission that every other evolved creature has to logic genes in the future. And this actually explains the nature not only of our physical beings but of our culture and our perception of the world so understanding that all of that marvelous architecture is built for an utterly mind-numbing purpose is an important first. Step in seeing where to

"Tom local back onto. Cpg sir it's been awhile while. Ben what's up brad. Do my thing chasing poker greatness as the title of the show is i guess and it's been a whirlwind few months last man but i appreciate the invite back. So what kind of poker greatness you've been chasing in this world wind of a few months last time you're on you know you talk about your new agency above the and there's more things have been added to your plate since then. Yes it's pretty wild man. So let's see how have i been chasing over greatness. Let's see on the poker side actually started playing live tournaments again We'll talk about that later but Getting into some of these world poker tour main main tour events has been something. I've really aspired to over the last few years Since i started my actual poker training back again and Was fortunate in fortunate enough this year to have a deep run at the w. p. t. seminal hardrock tournament Finishing thirtieth out of like twenty five hundred or something so it was like the great experience to get that deep. You know inexperienced that. Because i've never been that deep you know And it's a different ballgame and So that was great. I'm gonna fire up a few more here in the next couple of months with world poker tour with online Which we'll talk about. And then also you know for the waso p coming up on the business side. Man is trying to faded spade as much as i can. Try to grow the agency. Which is is ahead of where i thought it would be and the team would be. I told you that tom i could've told you that. The demand is going to be much higher. I think when you as soon as you were describing the idea to me. I was like this makes sense and this giant need in the industry. It's a slow and steady. But it's like it's it's password. I thought it would be after six months. And thanks for saying that man And through that work with the agency A couple of really great things have happened. So one offer darren elias. Who was part of above the felt from a talent perspective. We worked out a deal for him where he is becoming the brand ambassador of the party poker. Us network which. I know you asked me what is that. And we'll get into that and then while that was all going on. You know some of the relationships i built with the people during that process They've asked me to come be a poker marketing consultant for them over the next foreseeable future. And you know help them. What is happening here. Marketing team basically. What they're asking me to do is asked me to come in and craft all new strategic marketing plans for the party poker. us network which is forgot poker online plus bet. And all of that together is known as the party. Poker us network. The parent company is bet mgm. So they're asking me to come in and help support their team and develop some new marketing plans in terms of how they expand in those markets. They go to him. Why the dan what what they told me is when they realize like my corporate marketing leadership background in terms of doing this type of like leadership executive work In like the hotel resort industry and technology industry. And then i think they liked the fact that there was a blend of all this entrepreneurial experience and the poker industry over the last four years and i think just how got along during the discussions about bringing darren on as a brand ambassador. I think that all came together. And they were transparent with me and said you know we have this need the company and rethink. You could fill it. And i said you know what i would love to have that experience with you guys and let's talk about making that

The Time Has Come to Reclaim the American Republic
"The time has come to reclaim what is ours. As I write in American Marxism. What is ours, the American Republic from those who seek to destroy it. If we expect others to rescue our nation for us, as we go about our daily lives as mere observers to what is transpiring Or close our eyes and ears to current events. We will lose the struggle and yes, it's a struggle. We've allowed the American Marxists to define who we are as a people. They d famous land. So how does S A question to finish? Off this thought, how can you have continuity as a as an organization as a franchise or anything like this? If you don't even know the first championship of your team or where that team came from how they got here? What made them great what made them great in the nineteen fifties body parts of modern definitely took a few lessons from party Clark. We'll definitely took lessons Clark that's that continuity a continuity. In culture, for the entire families and I'm not trying to say talk bad about fans or whatever like Oh, you don't know about the thirty five season. So you're you know that's your. That's your problem. What I'm trying to say is what if this is the time right to to bring back the sense like I say this continuity of culture that stretches back from the earliest days alliance carry on through the. Fifty S and maybe at one point it was severed. But what if embracing this story? What if embracing like the the what made the lions great in the first place? Is like the whole just the basic concept of history is known where you came from in order to understand who you are right and that is the missing ingredient of what will take the lions to the next. Cats are cool, but they don't really care. You know there's kind of they're sitting there, but the dogs the dogs you know they come to you and they make you feel like they actually care about in stuff. They're going to move to whatever sources of security instability they could find and so these two crises will start interest. Yeah I mean it's It's I said we might be in the second inning. Probably more likely in the bottom of the first inning. I mean you. The the story that that has not been told in this country yet is the one you just described. What's going to happen in to the the six million people in the whisks billion people in the world who live differently from the way that. Us One billion live Hard to imagine. You know You are the last person who'd be invited into trump's inner circle but you know how these guys think. And so. Imagine for a moment that you're not Tom Friedman but you're actually Republican insider who can translate trump's logic on denying climate science so from trump's point of view. Why is it a winning electoral strategy in twenty twenty to deny human caused climate? Change when when more than half of Americans believe it is an urgent problem? Why does that make sense to? Trump is a pure fundraising thing I'm I'm sure it's because he's so wedded to oil coal and gas companies for fundraising. Benny simply can't go where he needs to go to save them and to save himself. I mean there are two issues that are going to be killer issues. I believe for Joe Biden. Literally killer issues. One is healthcare. I mean. Can you imagine the television commercial? What Donald Trump has been doing during the cove in nineteen crisis has been to continue to try to undermine obamacare rather than strengthened obamacare and at a public auction doers. That's number one and number two You just come in with another ad that said if you liked cove in nineteen you're going to love climate change and if you like not being resilient toward Copeland nineteen and doing it in a way that you also can be productive more repulsive as a society by owning the next Greek global industry clean air clean water. Clean power in clean transport. If you'd like to that then you're gonNA LOVE FOR MORE OF DONALD TRUMP. So we'll just go from buying our oil from Saudi Arabia to buying our solar panels from China and will never find ourselves being the swing producer of both the old oil and the new energy. Tom You have a sense of what? They argue about in corporate circles. How is the the the fighting ideological the the intellectual debate over climate change happening within American Corporate Life? These days within the within the fortune five hundred. How do these guys see it? I mean is it Simply a matter of Republicans are the dirty dirty energy guys and Democrats. Clean-energy guys are what's going on. What do we not know? What do most of us know about how this battles being fought out? You know I think is as we know David. From years of living dangerously there are corporate executives. Totally got this The ones that are now investing in. But they're the ones who understand that their customers totally get this and therefore and their employees totally get this and therefore they can't hire the best people if they are serious about mitigating climate number. One and be. They can't expand their businesses if they're seen as global polluters among the rising generation of consumers. There's companies that get that Walmart I think would be a good example and trying to be the best global citizens they can be and there are others that just are listening to trump. And I'm giving money and he's giving them short-term sugar is but I think they're going to be swept away after this because the core the very core philosophy of combating climate change is the exact same core philosophy of combatting a pandemic. You have to manage. What is now unavoidable? So you can avoid what is unmanageable and were getting that mini lesson in how we deal with this pandemic and the macro lesson will be with Mother Nature and God save us if we cannot avoid what is unmanageable with Mother Nature. Can You imagine ten twenty thirty years that the billion of us who live in the developed world we'll take a lesson from donald trump and start building more walls moats drawbridges and we're going to have a showdown between the billion of us who are relatively safe in the eight billion? Who ARE NOT And we're talking about something Kind of a dystopia picture which is Frankly terrifying look at you know in In our years of living dangerously series I talked about a world divided between a world of organ world of Disor And I believe the depths of that divide We'll be magnified by what's going on now and the other thing. I talked about though that I learned from our series. There is that there is no wall high enough to keep people out when they become desperate hundred. Mediterranean invert future. Are we going to build a wall deeper and wider than the Mediterranean people are desperate fleeing hunger The ravages the pandemic or climate change. They're going to go to any island of order. They find so from the beginning of this crisis trump. The reason he got in trouble is the he thought that if he took Xyz step in the market went up he was winning against the virus. He didn't understand Mother Nature at all. He's understand that Mother Nature as my teacher. Rob Watson likes to say is just chemistry biology and physics. This'll she is. You can't talk her up. You can't talk her down. You can see Mother Nature. We're having a little recession. You're ruining my beautiful stock market. Now she's GonNa do whatever chemistry biology and physics dictate and she always bats last and she always bets thousand so do not mess with Mother Nature so trump kept looking at the market early on well. The market's going up. I must be winning against mother. Nature and one day when the market it a record rebound basically. He took a picture of the graph of the market and he actually autographed it and sent it to. Lou Dobbs and that knucklehead on Fox News actually ran the thing on his. Tv show is if they had trumped Mother Nature. But what of course they didn't understand. Is that the market was going up. Well trump was drawing his breath. Well Lou Dobbs was showing it on TV. Mother Nature was invisibly silently inexorably exponentially and mercilessly spreading the corona virus. You know you've talked about the conflict between Mother Nature and father greed as you put it between what science says must happen. What the market wants to happen now? Climate scientists won't emissions cut in half by twenty thirty that means a decline of about seven point five percent a year every year from now until twenty thirty. Is there even a remote chance? That can happen. is is unlikely But you know Dana Meadows famous. Starlets environmentalists late Dana. Meadows I used to say When people ask that. Kinda question did Used to say we have exactly enough time. Starting now this my coach we have exactly those times starting now and I all I know is Look out at my yard there. David and I look at dear out there. We saw Fox go by last night. We are rabbits. Birds Squirrels They've no idea. There's a pandemic then thinking about Kobe. Nineteen because they understand the fundamental truth. we need nature. Nature doesn't need us. We've learned that lesson you know from this pandemic than than we've learned nothing so I'm actually more optimistic. You confident that the engine of capitalism can be made compatible with the natural world. What gives you that confidence. And can you share some of that confidence with the rest of us will? It's not automatic. It takes leadership but the reason I always talk about the market Mother Nature Together. David is because combating climate change is a challenge. If you don't have scale you have a hobby. I like hobbies are used to build muller plans. I wouldn't try to change the climate as a hobby so you have to have scale and because there's only one thing almost as big as Mother Nature and that's father greed in less. We can reshape the market with different rules standards laws regulations and incentives to produce the outcome. We want which is clean water. Clean Air Clean Manufacturing and clean energy. We stand no chance. So you've got to leverage capitalism by passing the laws standards rules and regulations to get it to produce the outcomes. You want and we can do that. Tom Can't thank you enough for this. Really appreciate it really a pleasure to be with. You can't wait till we can get out on the road again. But I think I've been nailing it in this past week. How you doing well? Yeah I mean this. Everything's being graded on a curve right now. So sure not curled up in the fetal position time. I'm doing pretty good. I have an unexpected luxury happening right. Now what is that like Interact with human beings. Have an expected luxury. I don't have to put up with Amy's Baloney. No I like I forget how long ago was like right win. Toilet paper started getting scarce I I was in the supermarket ads like they have some toilet paper left. LemMe buy some toilet paper toilet paper. They had left. They didn't have the store brand. Which is what I usually buy They only had nice stuff so I bought some of the Nice stuff treating your behind. Real Nice I'll tell you what man I don't know I've been missing things first off. I went to take some of this toilet paper and I took my normal amount normal length of toilet paper and need that much. No and I want it up and I'm like the hell this is User says a pillow to go to sleep on. Do you think I like you use it as a pillow? Northside USE IT I. I'm not gonNA pillows free first. And then the next day you said as tissue. I call it toilet tissue. I always hated that. You know what I don't like is that I believe this doesn't exist in American. I forget where I saw it but in the UK. They have Kleenex brand toilet paper. That's true your face now for your but right that's mind. Get outta here. I mean although if you think about it what could be nicer now. I've white my but with a with a facial tissue and it just it doesn't work I media works but it doesn't work as well mood or something. Yeah like things. Don't really stick to it. Like they should not to get too graphic. Do they have toilet paper? That has Like the moisturizer built in like they have for for news tissues like an aloe or lotion. Yeah your gross. I don't I don't think so because it would leave a residue. Yeah and I think things just stick to it as well yeah like. You don't really care if booger stick to tissue because it's like well. I'm going to immediately throw this out this issues holding things rather than removing things great. I also still have an emergency but day that I can install it anytime. Yeah I don't see why I've been begging my wife to order a day of mine. And she's like gross no but the Europeans us. Yeah yeah well. We'll see how desperate things get. She might change your tune. Yeah I also think that if I had a bad day I'd walk out of the bathroom every day just soaked to the bone. I think I'd use it rug anytime I've ever encountered day. That's been what's happened. It's always more powerful than I think. We're like sprays wider than I assume he and look I'm not trying to get all wet and their dot like Talla afterwards like is that how it works at shoot it shoots water up and then you just like shake dry and in walkaway. I think it depends on the accuracy like I think if it's if it's like pinpoint accurate then it's probably fine but if it's not then yeah. I think he's still do one. Wipe at least after you're done To Dry and like well then the waters may be loosening things up but not necessarily removing everything. I don't know I've never actually tried one. I I might have to install this day and report back next week. Yeah it it troubles me how much you keep saying like loosening and removing we should make that. Patriot exclusive the day report. Then they will sign ups. Go through the roof gets a video of that too. Well no then. We're in for a secondary. I thought you knew about my toilet and I got very nervous. Toilet cancer the idea. Well in most instances a legal I believe so yeah I know it's the worst kind of pervert today. Yeah I've also This has been something that's been on my mind a lot lately as we're all quarantined. How much would it suck? I see like yeah right now. It's the beginning of the month and I saw people The past few days like moving in across the street. I live across from like a pretty big apartment complex. He yeah which is bonkers. I can't imagine doing anything outside right now. Let alone bringing all my possessions out. There transporting them to a new place in bringing them to a new place to live yet. It's bonkers at the same time you think about it. It's like your lease is up. Yeah you gotTa do what you gotTa do and like people that are moving now may have found these places you know the first or second of March. Yeah when things in New York were were relatively calm still So like they signed a new lease the somebody else's moving into their apartment. They gotta move although I was thinking as long as everybody's taking the necessary precautions. It's probably better to move because it's their size. May people around. Yeah that's true like you have. Excuses exclusive use of the elevators for the most part. Yeah but I'm always just nervous when I go outside for two minutes and then it's just like hey everything that you own every single thing you own. We're going to bring that outside to. The outside is fine. It's more I know that intellectually Tim. I'm I'm real afraid of this becoming a bubble boy situation. Then you're going to start. It's going to be like a placebo effect that you do get sick when you go outside. And you're like she look. I told you to give myself worked up to get any number of diseases tub. But here's the thing that I was thinking about with people moving right now an absolute nightmare scenario you move on April first very signed a lease y'all month before before everything went haywire. You move again to your new place. The first night who shows up at a God damned ghost and you find out the new place you've moved into during quarantine when you're not supposed to be leaving. Your home is haunted. Well it depends can be a friendly spirit. Look when places are haunted. It's almost never friendly spirit. Sometimes you might like out and it might be like a playful child spirit. You know some dead kid if you're lucky it's a dead kid. Best case scenario but those ghosts. It's always like yeah but if you don't you know pretend to throw the ball back look out. Then they're like worse than ever more about ghosted. I didn't know that there were ball playing ghosts. I don't like I'm just saying that has examples you know and like you know maybe you try and get like an exorcist in there you try and get a shaman in this climate and try and get rid of the ghosts and it doesn't work then they're going to be real pissed. I know go shit haunt outside right now. Well no nobody's preside given what's the purpose of a haunting? It's not to not bother anybody right. I mean it's usually that the spirit is stuck for some reason they were. They were killed there. Were they have unfinished business there? What kind of unfinished. I never saw the film ghost. So you're going to need to like pottery theme race. Some haven't filed their taxes yet. Some are expecting a package. That hasn't come. But what are they going to do with the content into that package? Tom You can't take it with you. They can slip right into it. Look inside without even opening the package so like it's a bathrobe or something. They could really just will. They can't put it on. So what do you look at it? Look take it up at the Ghost Tim. It's not me some either. Has This problem talking? I'll cavalier when I can't sleep tonight. I'm GONNA be like who I shouldn't have said like crap about ghosts earlier. Yeah exactly especially. If it's a kid goes they don't like that at all from what I understand. You're afraid of child ghosts. Oh that's by far the creepiest. Kite types of but what can they do to you? What can a ghost due to anybody? Nothing tell boy. Somebody's asking be haunted tonight at that. Sounds like to me. Hey look at ghost is never murdered. Anyone we've gone over this Tim. Ghosts have murdered people. Ghosh's never been convicted in court and taken to jail but ghosts have murdered. People people die under mysterious circumstances all the time whenever you see somebody died of natural causes think maybe they died of supernatural causes. Then it would say that in the obituary town though. Do you WanNa make a pact or you have to promise you that I will reach your next of kin whenever you pass and make sure that it says that you doubt of supernatural causes especially as a worldwide pandemic happening. If I if I happen to die during this yes please tell everyone will appreciate the joke They won't put that in the paper. Unless there's been slime found on the body the interest of giving back this week. We ARE SOLVING SOME PROBLEMS. We we have a recurring segment.

Tom Would have the angel, telling one thing and the devil telling them something else. I thought we could do that with Tom Brady in terms of finding the right home for number twelve TB twelve to play football next year. Super Bowl ring better players, better, talent, better organization, and truly a hometown team, and what would the devil say about the forty niners? So if you can't beat them, you gotta join 'em. Right you don't go and play for the niners. That's what Oj Simpson did at the end of his career. You want to be tied to Oj Simpson, of course, not of course dot plus cal Shanahan get so much. He's a great play college. He's a great play color by. You want to call place to Tommy, don't you? You're not gonNA with CAL Shannon, the great play caller, not his fault. Get the raiders back commit, excellence Tom. Excellence. And what would the devil say about his favorite team? The raiders excellence. The raiders have been in the playoffs once in seventeen years. The Oakland Raiders Oh Las Vegas Raiders can change where they're from, but they still stink. They stunk for seventeen years commitment to excellence like commitment to excrement. That's what they've put out there. The best thing they ever did was trade other guys away, so they didn't have to be a part of that sinking pirate ship. Plus Tom you fear for your life. "Never once excited about the eagles and like my reaction was so delayed from everyone else's I'm like holy crap. I'm getting up really slow. Doom cheer what everyone else but it was. It was like I enjoyed it the next day. Obviously whatever comes into parts again from my experience all right so so. The Eagles wins The cool thing about winning the Super Bowl is obviously outside the ring. I mean we don't really get to enjoy that whole thing. But the parade right right. So then they have a celebration Celebratory parade especially in Philadelphia. It's it's really neat The city's kind of setup. It's neat if you're watching from from TV it's not so if you're there you have to find parking but anyway so they had it the phillies had there's but when the eagles had there's kind of Tom Tommy Hussein and is like there was something different about the eagles winning it. That made you care way more. I don't know what that what that even means. But there was something about them winning that which has made it so much more special so anyway so they had this parade right and so typically all the teams basically do this. They go through the city on like these like floats or whatever and there just waving everybody as they go down to the city and then there's like a celebratory speech and whatnot. Tom You went to did you go to a to know all right you went to it. I most certainly did. Yeah so so explain your experience even have my wife take take off from work. That's right that's right. I went to one and that was awesome. It was packed packed. It was like the first championship. Philly had once eighty-three when the sixers won so basically for a whole generation. It was like the first championship that they'd ever seen. And then some guys that were maybe young me. I was ten or eleven at that time and in even older we hadn't seen anything since eighty three. You know what I mean so like any team could one and it was going to be like a huge party right Oh so to phillies thing was crazy was awesome. It was fun. Dropped the F bomb. That was crazy. It was Halloween. So everyone's dressed up. It was like it was wild superfund but I think when it comes down to it like Philly is hard core football. We love all the sports. Don't get me wrong. But there's something somphan about football man and the fact that it was their first super bowl fifty super bowls and we had gotten close so many times times it was just it was crazy it was it was literally I thought I was going to have to get a toe amputated first of all because we found a spot and you stood in that spot. We're like five hours until the the thinking through and like I mean there was no room to walk no room to move no room for not we debated on whether to take our boys. He's down. who were at the time? Maybe only like I don't know five and seven and we decided against it because it was. We left a crack of dawn. It was freezing cold and it was a good move. There were some kids down there but they probably were sitting people that were close to move closer to home and stuff like that they would have been miserable whereas nowhere to move to go to back but it was amazing and I would have got my toe amputated for It was awesome like it was such a big party. Everyone that's the cool thing to like with sports especially like UC someone. You never met a day in your life will never probably see that person ever again but they got the Eagles Jersey on your high five five and you know what I mean like guys. Like cheers cheers each other beers and stuff. I mean just looking around. Everything was eagles everywhere. Every single person and it was great. Everyone was smiling like everyone was happy. There were no like negative anything like the whole date anywhere you went was crazy easy from like people were there from like four or five o'clock in the morning and then it was just a party all day all night it was awesome. It was amazing. Yeah it was amazing so used to differ for five hours. Probably we got down there probably around seven in the morning We got dropped off because we figured it would be way too hard with parking so we got a ride. Actually there was a nice group of us. There was probably about maybe five six seven eight of us all together and we kind of like a couple of other people you know And we found a spot right on broad couple a couple of blocks down from. What do you call City Hall and we set up shop? You know to me and obviously we had a couple of cold ones packed away in our jackets said and everything like that and just stood there and wait at man you know and waited and waited and then finally there was. They came by and you know it was awesome then we kind of followed them along. We didn't didn't make it all the way to the art museum steps which is where they did the speeches and stuff they had a DJ like right down the street from that. It's like the Avenue of the Americas. Or what does that called. It's like they have all the flags of different Leading up towards Art Museum at the end of that they had a Dj all these speakers. They were hoping all this music people were dancing like it was crazy man so we just kind of hung out there dance for a while and we headed up a little further into the city and went into a bar got some food drank somewhere obviously and then we watched the speech is he's in the bar on TV and stuff like that. And I. I couldn't understand why they kept like I thought it was on mute. Kelsey talking yeah but then I realized Elon no one knew every other word out that he was saying so. I thought that was pretty funny because I was asking him to turn the volume up TV. And it's on.

"Killing planet diplomatic so does probably dominate most of your waking it us but we are becoming kind of like you know because of the review reviewed draft a process that are that are Period of like one and a half months that are a silent lent because of course the review Issan so we are of course we are working on other projects and so we are killing ourselves on another scientific projects said and who are teaching and we're running out of trying to spread the word as much as possible possible to learning points from this world trying to Keno speaking and the workshops we do with the everything from designers to non listeners and stuff so it's it's it takes time but you really have to also completely die but you're also also terribly collecting some very specific kind of knowledge. I think you work in a very specific kind of process and they're probably lessons that you learn their daddy's very hard to be exposed to unless you work on this specific kind of projects sort of Lisa. It's fascinating so we're working as a designer live designer on the floor in this level of international negotiation. Very they're breathing down your neck and you really have to act On by minutes and minutes it's is a lesson learned that really have to share his mission. An old the the the learning points we really try. Share it as much as possible. Yeah that'd be great if you can document this process and sort of scale it or that other people can can apply the same process because it seems seems like a fantastic way to technically impossible challenge. It's actually fantastic put together. We are building a lessons learned Document that the DC's using anything it's inconstant Is In costumed working progress becoming because we keep building on it about but I think he's kind of like changing things in the organizations as well. That's a huge. So you legacy in a way it's not just designing the visualizations but it's also so changing the processes resources if somebody's interested in Participatory Design Code Designing especially in the scientific context. What do you have off the top of your mind already? Have good starting point for folks like where they could learn the basics or get inspired no I was I mean we we are. We are always talking about system design and participatory design. Now we use that a lot in the in every project we do expired by You know almost like design thinking methods we have been working with this in the past fifteen years. We don't we don't look at resources. I guess not because we know everything on how to do it but we just like we keep improving specifically in the in. The scientific communities. Unity's is quite special environment. So but yeah we think a lot about participatory design approaches and systemic thinking And and we have a lot of the discussions with with other designers in the fields. Tom You want to add something about it. Yeah no I think it's It's That we are we are. We are looking at hardcore information designers. But we're really borrowing so much from other fields that we don't find in the field station nation at the moment so we don't because I couldn't find people to say yes good source for cody's data positions which which sounds if you think that sounds weird. Yeah should write a book about.

"We don't get a choice of what happens to is. Usually, we don't pick our parents. We don't pick the diseases. We get we don't pick the economic situation. We find ourselves in many times. But we do have a choice when it comes to how we're going to respond to react to that. Yeah. And that's that's what I love about our community is because they've grown to a level of maturity to know that wait a second. There's only one person who can make that choice, and that's themselves when you own that choice and build the habit of making the right choice every day. That's when things change. Hey, that's a great lead in. I got one more for us to answer to respond to online. We'll says actually is the moral. No matter. How smart we are? We can always improve and be accepted as we are two things there that Sean said can we always improve? Yes. Also be accepted as we all right now. Yes, these are not mutually exclusive Sean says yet, some press many clean me often think that they may be mutually exclusive trusting in what God has given us as one thing putting it to use an expanding our God given ability required f- it effort. And I wanna I want to end on that effort. But I do appreciate what you said. They're showing that we're talking about. It's another issue that Tom you, and I have talked about. In other shows before that one we all want to be my okay today. I be okay. As I am right now. And the answers got to be. Yes, there's no peace and ourselves if we don't do that, even as we're looking going boy, there's so much more potential. I have as well. So yeah, those are not mutually exclusive. But I totally understand the sentiment. Sean. But then what Sean ends with your Tom is really the, obviously, it's it's the one that gets me. The most is we have got to put in the effort. And I think we have a lot of people. We have a lot of people here in the personal development world her looking for the next book, the next podcast the next blog that inspires them. That keeps that hope. That's good. But if you're in the same place a year from now five years for now, it's obvious that you're not taking it taking that captive and changing your actions making that habit, and I would Tom I know I wish your book is out right now because it's so focuses on that. What is a new habit? One just one habit. You can start tomorrow. And you. You can talk about at Tommy me. I think we ought to get so grandiose and we want the big goals. We want the big hairy audacious goals. But usually what gets us there is that baby step of a new habit that we do the next day in the next in the next thing the next the next day. And then maybe we add another one, and it's that overtime that things dramatically change. Kevin. I was I was speaking event one time and afterwards somebody comes up to be. And they say, hey, how do I get out? How do I get out of this? Some stuck in the quicksand. You know, I'm been hit by the truck. I'm depressed, you know in in. What do I do to get out of this? And I said, oh, it's real simple. You start yesterday. And they're like, what do you mean? And I say, well, the reality is is we start feeding remind the right information. The right. The route found foundation of character and integrity honesty. Lev loyalty, we hang out with the right? Kind of people. We listen to and choose what we put in our mind. We read the riot things that build us up. And then when we have a stockpile, right? When we have that internal reserve in the hard times come because they always do then we're able to sustain it's very difficult. It's so much harder to create a habit while you're in the pit and yet so many people wait until they're into pit to stop digging. Okay. So what we need to do is start building. So what? Does the habit that we can do?.
