He says to honor the Algierian Muslims who were beaten by the police in the nineteen sixty four riots in Paris that the we should put a minaret and on top of. And I was just thinking Christ some people never miss an opportunity to airdrop in and be a complete pain in the ass. And that's what you wanna hear within forty eight hours that we've gotta make it a minaret beautiful and the. Anyway, that that pissed me off. So I wrote it down. And now that I've said it out loud, they say should be healed. And I'm even more pissed off. Makes me a dislike the actor, Tom Wilkinson? It's such a stupid thing to say Ben Shapiro. I was on his show this weekend. Good cat intense. Man. Yeah. You know? He he is is he zeroes in on. You was like all right. I've hit by paycheck. Think of where you put it off find it. We talk a little bit about I'm gonna post a picture of Tom Wilkinson next Millie, Bobby Brown for our listeners. Great. So they can see and they can decide for themselves. Whether it's accurate. It's it's uncanny. Leave it to the listeners to decide. I'll just put it out there. I don't think. So right. Yeah. You're you're on record is not thinking there's any resemblance. I think it's uncanny. And then you think LeBron looks like Ashton, so I might post that too. Yeah. That one after I said it I went I went shopping on Google images to to substantiate my claim, and it's not I couldn't even see it anymore when he was younger. I dunno all do some work on that other. Last update interestingly, I still can't find that anthro article about American GI's in English women getting pregnant, but. We found another article that was very interesting by sociologist that is academic in nature chair in the point of that study that we read was at least then in nineteen forty. They would they gave it like out of thirty so out of thirty Americans kiss. Like, let's say, it's it's an ascending scale of intensity. Thirty. You're fucking, you know, zeros googly eyes Americans kissing number three. They get the kissing really quick leads. Not a thing for maybe. I forget the example they gave in that article. But it was sub ten as I recall, but what was interesting at least then and maybe it's the same still now is that for English folks kissing Twenty-three most intimate it's so intimate. You've done a lot of stuff you've held hand. You're in a relation like it's really far down the road. So. The theory of this thing was that English girls were they were just leaping right to what's next after kissing on their scale exactly like the guys would kiss. And and so it would trigger for them. Like, oh, this is hyper intimate. Yes. Were seconds away from coins? Yes. So that's why what happened that makes sense to me. Yeah. Very interesting too. Yeah. All right. So Debbie said that German families in her experience, most of the time one of the parents doesn't work most of the time the female doesn't work..

"Yeah, where she's, she's such a Cutie pie movie and she was certainly the person they tried to make happen the most after this. Apparently, no, yes. She was in some TV movie. So this is her second movie. Second movie. She works with two legends of Asian cinema. And then she gets to follow two more legends Krista ker and Brett Ratner. I was so hyped for rush hour two. On her. I was so happy. She was eight it. I don't even remember what she doesn't have movie like she kicks people remember that Russia were to head like the biggest opening weekend of all time at that time. No, he was in two thousand one rush hour to open to seventy million dollars because the guy who allegedly like went onto the Chinese billionaire who pay Jhangvi. I e seven there is like there's some story about how some Chinese billionaire paid crazy amount of money for a weekend together. I don't know if it's true, but I feel like before he had realized that that was possibility for him. He may have just splurged on rush hour, two tickets to shower, too, is still before biggest opening in August ever is crazy. Born tomato, guardians of the galaxy and suicide squad. I think at the time of its release, it was in the top five opening weekends of all time, but like her being in that was so fucking exciting. It was. Rush hour. One is good. Russia were to is bad. Rush hour one still hold up. I like Jackie Chan and I don't even mind, Chris Tucker, but rush hour is kind of a boring, sweaty cop movie. That's the problem. Like Jackie Chan, like what he's like. His stuff. How points for you? Elizabeth Panya rules in it when she's always good. Thomason plays the villain. His name is Griffin. That is true. You wanna know something and then you can talk David. I'm sorry, another interview, Tom Wilkinson Manny many, many years ago. Okay. I think for in the bedroom, they bring begets. It was pretty big at consider it was for in the bedroom, pretty sure. Yeah. And I remember him saying she said, like he said to me, rush hour, like transformed his career, I'm sure, and I was like really rush. He's in that Omarosa forgotten. He said like that was it. That was what Hollywood took me seriously after I was in Russia. He's the big bad in rush hour, but I had forgotten. It was him like, I didn't remember him from that when he then broke out after that. And then I saw rush hour, two thousand ten. I was like, Tom Wilkinson was the villain in this. Know, rush hour. You don't get Michael Clayton, you don't the sweatiest performance of all time. Wow. Does it hurt my heart on a podcast dedicated to one of the great films.

"You know it is clooney at his absolute best it is a filmmaker somehow given enough carte blanche to tell the story he wanted to tell it to do it artfully and stylishly but ultimately it is just a kick ass movie it is an it is a 70s style movie that a guy and a bad situation at there's an explosion and there's a great ending shot allah graduate mmhmm um it doesn't have the flair necessarily or the explosiveness and power some of the other films were talking about it doesn't a dialogue the dialogue it just rhythm of eu you put their tom wilkinson monologues and michael clayton that i would put up against set pieces in any action movie it in and just to go back to your point both of our lists have one thing in common which is you have to love watching movies yet in loved in and get excited the thought of watching them again that that that does it for me you want to make your case rosaria yeah i would just say dod ac as one of the great american crime films ever made a if features several of some of my favorites before it's it's got the best robert downey junior perfect 'neither and he's made their list right now that correct um it's got the best robert downey junior performance which is no small thing uh it has the quality that you know and especially now uh when we talk so much about the blurred lines between film and television whether or not you're watching zodiac for the thirteenth time on amc or you're seeing it in a rap theater or you saw it when it first came out it has this ability that i still think sort of singular to the movies which is to completely suck you into a world right it has from the.

"I i will have a little bit of comedy on my list a little bit but i don't think anything quite as frivolous that picked michael frivolous meyer over earlier word no i did not say that didn't you well i did for volley as i listen to the tape agca kicked of your busted well speaking of not frivolous the tree of life is moving in the film flooding pantheon and it is a movie the deals with gretha terrence malcolm not eligible because we did put in the pantheon last week in fact a movie that was also anointed quite recently the world of approve such ray that great film from the opel trilogy not eligible i'm sure there may be a few others that are in our pantheon but those are the two that really stood out the one they all say instead of my listeners came up a little bit during our review of it comes at night the movie that inspired this topic there really are no easy lessons to take away i think from grief or the grieving process but for this list i did focus on five movies that revealed to me a number of truths about grief and i'll just put it that way and my number five is a todd field film it is in the bedroom from two thousand one this is the film that is set in maine tom wilkinson answers he space ecker husband and wife they have a son play by next all whose recent college graduates seems to have his whole life in front of him and he gets into a relationship with an older woman played by maricic till may and she hasn't ex husband a violent ex husband who kills the sun in a confrontation and is if that wouldn't be hard enough to deal with as the parents losing your son the ex husband walks on bail and then basically we come to find out isn't really going to receive much punishment at all for his crime so in terms of truths that this movie made me think about even with someone to blame.
