"A fantastic stuff it sounds like it you don't remember i don't i somehow your mind i'm quite confident you're going to remember this choice though for me my number four whore scene is the three horses from michael clayton movie written and directed by tony gilroy from two thousand seven i liked this movie i thought it was okay i didn't love this movie the way a lot of people did when it came out in seven and a big part of it actually was this scene i didn't really like this scene with the horses when i saw it originally still the only time i've actually seen the movie in its entirety from start to finish but both this scene and the movie have aged better for me as ivory watched it it's a movie that sometimes we'll come on late at night and end up watching wherever it is i somehow get sucked into watching michael clayton especially if i know i'm going to get to watch the end of the movie again and that final tell off scene between him until the swim but there are a lot of rewarding scenes in it and this is one where it's turning point in the movie he's driving back to the city michael is from i think upstate new york he's visiting his family if i remember right it's sort of pre dawn early morning hours and he notices three horses just kind of out in the middle of nowhere by tree and he stops and he goes to get close to them goes to see the horses the first time if elt so heavy handed to me i saw them as such a blatant symbol it's just all about the metaphor of these horses and that's why he stopped something about their majesty what they represent to him i didn't believe it and if i'm being totally honest i don't think i saw the connection i can't really remember what i was processing when i watched it in two thousand seven but it's probably fair to say i didn't note the connection at the time to the rest of the movie the fact that there's an image of a horse by tree just like this in the book roman conquest that comes up multiple times in the movie his son gives it to the tom wilkinson character and also to him it's.

"I i will have a little bit of comedy on my list a little bit but i don't think anything quite as frivolous that picked michael frivolous meyer over earlier word no i did not say that didn't you well i did for volley as i listen to the tape agca kicked of your busted well speaking of not frivolous the tree of life is moving in the film flooding pantheon and it is a movie the deals with gretha terrence malcolm not eligible because we did put in the pantheon last week in fact a movie that was also anointed quite recently the world of approve such ray that great film from the opel trilogy not eligible i'm sure there may be a few others that are in our pantheon but those are the two that really stood out the one they all say instead of my listeners came up a little bit during our review of it comes at night the movie that inspired this topic there really are no easy lessons to take away i think from grief or the grieving process but for this list i did focus on five movies that revealed to me a number of truths about grief and i'll just put it that way and my number five is a todd field film it is in the bedroom from two thousand one this is the film that is set in maine tom wilkinson answers he space ecker husband and wife they have a son play by next all whose recent college graduates seems to have his whole life in front of him and he gets into a relationship with an older woman played by maricic till may and she hasn't ex husband a violent ex husband who kills the sun in a confrontation and is if that wouldn't be hard enough to deal with as the parents losing your son the ex husband walks on bail and then basically we come to find out isn't really going to receive much punishment at all for his crime so in terms of truths that this movie made me think about even with someone to blame.
