"You're putting sports talk radio gun that doesn't exist to our salary cap. This is what the people want to do. They like this stuff. Aaron Donald affects the game so many different ways. He's the one who takes the ball away from you. He's the one who stops the runner on the way to the quarterback. He's the one that makes other people better because he gets the double teams. Cup is still dependent on getting the football to him. So if I had to if I could only pay one, that's the one. But who figures this stuff out more than anybody else? No, I know, that's figured it out. Right? What's funny is you mentioned Alan Robinson, he's new to the rams this year. He's actually making a million and a half dollars more than you see. That's the end Donald. Yeah, these things will get rectified. Again, Andrew Brant longtime executive and man who knows the cap very well is going to be joining us shortly here. I'm imagining June 1, that's always a date that you keep hearing about that can free up cap, can free up this free up that they'll figure this thing out. I mean, they didn't bring in Bobby Wagner just to say we don't have the money for you, Aaron. Yeah, probably not. I can't imagine that. And Donald is back. I mean, couldn't you imagine they definitely had had to have some sort of preliminary conversations. With him. I think so. You would think so and cup cup knows money's coming his way too. Don't forget, honestly, it's got some extra money. If there's, I mean, that's the issue as he can't dive into that. Right. Not baseball. True. I forgot about that. Yeah, it's not baseball. Is that there is still that cap. But when it all comes down to it, I think that Donald will be paid and he will be happy and the rams will pay everyone and they're going to all be happy and it's now just comes time about who can win football games. And they've got a hell of a roster. So if he's concerned about all I want to do is win to win another Super Bowl. Check that box. He's on a team that can do that for time to come with a coach who's not going anywhere. In terms of the money, that box remains unchecked. I think they'll take it before week one kick-off against the bills. For over three decades, nobody has had a wrestling career like arn Anderson. Conrad Thompson gets.

"It's interesting because of the NBA now. They just run pick and roll until they figure out who they want on you. That's all it is. It's like a high pick and roll leg. Right. You watch basketball now. If you don't like high pick and rolls, you might as well turn it off and go watch something else because you'll see about a thousand of those every game. Now dream was not a guy you try to get on you. That was the guy you tried to get off of you, but I would imagine they'll match up, you know, by position. A lot of times you'll see in games where it gets, you know, depending on if a guy can score or not, they'll put a guard on him because they know you're not going to go to him, but I would think it'll be, you know, step on smart, play on Brown, Wiggins on Tatum. Draymond on Horford and loony on Williams, I would think that's the way they'll go. I mean, you could flip flop 5 and four if you wanted to. You could flip bob draymond, but the other one's got to be, I mean, but again, they're going to be on celebrities at a guard somebody a little bit. But what the words that are really good job of landscape, they kept trying to get switch curry onto Dante's. And what they did is they called a hedge and curry would hedge out and stay until Wiggins got back. So he allowed Wiggins enough time to get back and then he would fire back to his guy or go to the middle of the paint and then rotate out. But they weren't going to let him just go and stuff. So I don't know what to sell this to do. I would imagine it's already going step a little bit because he's not a bad defender at all. He just the weak link on this team. I mean, it's a really good defensive team. So yeah, I would think, but draymond, if you watch draymond, you take a few serious and just watch him. He always is his head on a swivel. He always sees what's going on and he's always able to come over and help. Like if somebody gets beat, he's there. He just knows what's going on. And I find myself sometimes just watching him. I won't even watch the ball. Others watch draymond and kind of watch him and see what he does on the defensive end. It really is kind of fun. I know people are like, you're kind of weird, but yeah, I am, but still it's pretty cool to do and you understand him a lot better as a player. If you do that. Tom enjoy the finals. Look for my call during it, love your insight, as always, appreciate the time. Anytime, rich. Look for it. You got it. Thanks for calling. That's Tom tolbert right here in the rich eisen show driving around grandpa, grandpa Tom. Right here on the rich eisen show. Fascinating conversation. I just love that sort of stuff. And anybody just are there people out there who think draymond green is not Hall of Famer right now. Are there people out there? I hope not. Yeah, for sure. Just because they don't like them. Just don't like them. They're like, how can this guy, you know? Two points. Yeah, two points, ten rebounds, 6 assists. Yeah, because if you're someone who just looks at the paper and reads the box score, then that's what you're feeling. That just shows right there. Right there. You just heard from tolbert right there. Steve Kerr, what's the secret sauce defensively? Draymond green. Draymond, you want to take Horford? Yeah, got him. Draymond, you want to take Tatum? Yeah. Got him. Jamie, what do you want? What do you want to do? Time lord, you want to take him? Yeah, I got him. Got him. Oh, somebody just broke down defensively, who's right there? And then he's ahead of the play. I love that. Yes, smart player. Oh yeah, the intelligence one that guy is just ridiculous. But you know my only problem with draymond green is, right? Where he went before he got to the gym. That's it. That's my only problem with her. Michigan state. And he plays on your favorite NBA team. My warriors. Not a lot of people thought they were, you know, championship quality. This is just great. We have some skin in this. Brock mitigation is going to be right now. It's maybe still a little fun and games, but when the series starts and it's on the line and the Celtics have a chance to win it, and I keep coming in calling my warriors. It's going to get ugly. I know it right now. He really can't say anything because he adopted the bulldogs. No, no. He's got a problem. He's got a problem with you having multiple teams when you have a problem with him having multiple teams. That's his point, even though you don't have a leg to stand on TJ, sorry. I don't care how dare you. Let's take a break. We'll come back. Aaron Donald wants to get paid except he says it's not about money..

"I think you will. I think so. I think that's what they're hoping for. And for my conversations with them, I think either it's a pretty decent percent chance that he will be back at some point. During the finals. Now, I don't know if there could be setbacks, I guess, or maybe just doesn't feel quite right, but yeah, I think I'll be back and that'll be a big cog in the wheel because he's really good defensively and he can really make those guys work. He can make Brown work and make him work a little bit. And he doesn't got to give you a ton of minutes, 15 minutes is good enough to get in there and just be a pass. And he really runs his butt off too. Fast break. They're always in fast break mode when he's in there. Because he can really go and he runs the court really hard. So I would think that he'll be back. I think they're planning on him being back. Things change, but yeah, I would hope so. It'd be good to see him back too for a guy that's had to go through this stuff. He has a 29 years of age to miss the playoffs or after the Memphis series for that second game. Second game, I believe, first game. Was a bummer. I felt bad for him. I was like, ah, dang. It was one chance. He's getting a chance to play, to be in the playoffs experience this. And then to go out, but he would have come back for the finals against his Celtics. That'd be pretty sweet. Tom Talbot few minutes left with him right here on the rich eisen show. Do you like the Jimmy Butler shot at the end of game 7? Down to 17 seconds to go. It's a three. It's in transition, Horford's backing up. Did you like it? Yeah, I did. I mean, he's not a great three point shooter. That's the only kind of drawback. He's not a great three point shooter. Although he has been shooting him better the last two, three games. He's making a few of them. So I didn't mind it. I know what people are thinking. He could attack corporate, go to the rim. Yeah, I mean, I get it. You could also go to the room and get your shot blocked. You could also take another dribble and double off your foot. I mean, a lot of things that could happen. He knew right then, he was going to get a clean look at a three pointer. And I think to be honest, they were just, they were fatigued. I think they were spent. And I don't know if it entered his mind, but maybe he just thought, let's go for it. Let's try to get this over with and see if we can take the lead here because we don't have enough gas for overtime because that was like a war of attrition, both those teams are limping to the finish line and I'm not sure if Miami had enough to get to the finish line if they had to add 5 more minutes to the race. So yeah, I didn't mind that shot. I mean, this is wide open shot transition, great look. Nah, I had no problem with that shot. So the minute that front rims and then the Celtics win and Steve Kerr and the staff start grinding tape on the Celtics, what do you think they're seeing that concerns them the most for this matchup, Tom? A lot of big athletic bodies that can really defend the Boston Celtics are unlike most teams in that. There is not one person you could find. In that starting lineup, that you could pick out and try to go at defensively. I mean, these guys are really, really good, smart, Brown, Tatum, corporate Williams. I mean, they can all defend. And they can all switch off if they have to. And they can all stay in front of players. They all have length. They can all get into you and be physical. So they're really, I mean, that's the best defensive team in the league. And the numbers prove it. And they were by far and away the best defensive team in the league after the first of the year. So it's going to be, it can be tough, but the warriors have a great defense too. Everybody two best defensive teams in the league. So points might be at a premium in this series. The words I think have a little more just a little more diversity offensively. And maybe a little more firepower offensively than the sales. But it's going to be, I think it's a coin flip. It really do. I think it's going to be a great series. It was kind of hoping for this one. Just because it's a Celtics, as the most championships in NBA history and I just, I grew up on selfish Lakers. Solve this in the finals is like kind of a cool cool thing and the fact that the warriors get to face them. Not sure if the coaches feel the same way. They were like, I'm like, yeah, I'm gonna score on these guys. They held them to 32 points at home earlier this year. 32, the warriors, Adam, and they just suffocated. And they couldn't do anything against them. And then the second half step got hurt at the end of the first half and they ended up losing, but I mean, they're good. I mean, I'm excited about this finals. I think it's going to be a lot of fun, tactically speaking, athletically speaking, Brown and Tatum are studs and smart is smart, it's basically draymond green. It was 6 four grand on green is what he is. He plays a different position, but he's super smart, super physical, knows what he's doing out there, defensively. So yeah, I'm excited. I can't wait. I think it's going to be a lot of fun. And I think you're going to be close games, tight games, maybe not super high scoring, but should be a fun series. Although draymond plays the point sometimes too, so. Horford's in the game who does what you put loony on him and we're going to see draymond on Tatum sometimes. I mean, what do you see? What.

"Good Richard, so. I'm fine. Are you going over the Golden Gate Bridge right now? Where are you going? You want to treasure island? I am not, I am running some errands, dropping some stuff off, getting some drinks for the granddaughter. And granddaughter. Your grandfather, Tom? I'm a grandfather. She's two years old. Dude. That is the. That is the greatest. My mom and dad always used to tell me the best thing about being a grandparent is to give the child back at the end of the day. You take them. Right. Well, I wouldn't know that because actually, well, I didn't know for a while but to our granddaughter actually lives with us now with our son. So there she wakes up. She takes her naps, she gets up. She goes to bed and she's there and Laurie and I and my wife looked at each other one day and we said, now we know why people are raised on our kids. We know. They're exhausting. I didn't realize that when I was younger, I thought I was great. This is no big deal. I get a little older. It's like, yeah, wait, I'm beat. I didn't even do anything today, and I'm pleased. I bet so, well, terrific. Congratulations on that and everything going on in certainly in the world. We're so lucky when you're over you're on a beat or you're ever covering a team or you're associated with a team through a broadcast that they're so terrific and so, so great. Walk me through this warrior's season and when you know that the team felt it could be special, Tom. Well, I thought early on they would be one of a handful of teams that could be for a championship. I always felt like it was them Phoenix Boston, but this was really early on. Then I said, not Boston, then I got back to Boston, but anyway, Milwaukee, New Jersey, if they were healthy, then they're like 5 teams at a chance to win a championship. And now we thought they were one of them. Just because I've seen this team play for years and years now. And I know the composition the makeup of this team. So I always felt like they had a chance, there were times during the season with a defense wasn't great, the offense wasn't great. I thought, well, you know what they need to kind of kick in care a little bit, but I never thought this was going to be a favorite to win the championship bridge. I just thought they were going to be one of a few teams that have a chance to win a championship. And there they are. They're really good defensively, really good offensively. And they're probably where they felt like they belonged all along. So what inside can you give us Tom talbert on Klay Thompson? Because the general sense is he's clay and now that he's back, of course he's just going to keep splashing in threes and game 5 clay showed up and it looks like they're going to get the Klay Thompson we've all known come to know and love for the NBA Finals. But what insight do you have on his comeback, his rehab, everything that happened in the setback, another injury, and so on and so forth, Tom. Well, I tell you what, if you know him, you would be happier for a person to return to playing basketball at a high level. I mean, this guy loves basketball. I mean, he just loves it. And he's so funny. He has videos. I think it's Instagram or whatever. He's out on the bay on his Vogue. That is captain Ed out on just kind of tooling around the bay. And just seeing he'll take shots at himself tripping around the Bay Area. He loves the bay, loves his dog, loves hanging out, but he really loves basketball and loves competing. I can't imagine what it was like to get injured the first time. And then almost come back and get injured again with the Achilles. And then I sit out another year to mentally you really love doing, so I'm so happy for that guy to be able to come back and play. Isn't that quite the same player? Like he still has some really good knife and I'm sure he'll have at least one or two during the finals, but the shot isn't quite as consistent as it once was, defensively. He's not quite what he was, but you know, to get a little bit older and coming back from two catastrophic injuries, but yeah, like I said, if anybody knew him, they'd just be thrilled. This guy is able to get back and compete because you just can't help but love that guy. And so what about this team continues to click? Is it curries consistency? Is it draymond green's? Presence. Why does it occur as coaching? What is it, Tom? For this team. I think it's just a combination of everything. I think their defense like when they play really good basketball, I think they're deep ends is the backbone of the team. Like they're really good defensively. You don't really think of them as a defensive team because and play Jordan Poole now. You think of it as an offensive team, but they can be a really good offensive team, but when they're good, they're consistently good, defensively. And draymond green, it was funny I asked Steve Kerr last week. I said, you've been a good defensive team Napoli 7 years. That's been a common thread of the current era. Bald movement player movement defense. And I said, even a good defense team really good defense fee for 7 years was the threat. Ada said, draymond green. And that's really what it is. I mean, draymond's one of the more unique defenders ever in the NBA..

"Immediately into the top Tom Cruise top 5. Normally. Immediately at the time. What did Susie and I tell you, the day after we saw it in advance of ham being here? Oh, you were out. I was out. What did we tell you? Everyone I've talked to have seen it said it's awesome. Anybody who saw the original Top Gun. You could turn this down. Anybody who saw the original Top Gun knows what you want out of the sequel, certainly since you haven't seen Top Gun maybe in a theater since 1986, right? So what you want to see and they give it to you in the first 90 seconds, which is Kenny Loggins, the heat coming off of the tarmac Tom Cruise on a motorcycle. Where you go right into the danger zone. I think we're going to go tomorrow. I will say this though. Because Sue's took the two boys are two boys to see Top Gun: Maverick on. Again. Sunday. Oh, amazing. She saw the second time. And she says it's just as good. She took the two boys are 13 and 11 to see Top Gun: Maverick. So the day before, we showed them Top Gun. Original. All right. I watched it with them. I watched the original with them, and Suzy saw the sequel for second time. The Tom Cruise Kelly McGillis moments a little dicey, okay? Little dicing. He shows up. He shows up way, wait. I mean, he couldn't text ahead, obviously. And then immediately wants to take a shower at her house after you've pretty much waiting. It's very weird. It's a little dicey for the kids. But I just found it amazing that on Friday of Memorial Day weekend, they'd seen none of the Top Gun movies. And by Sunday Night, they'd seen both. For four hours of talking. It just did it. And they loved it. Oh, they did. They did. Oh, good. They loved it. There you go. You know? Immediately. They'd never heard of goose or iceman. On Friday. Literally never heard of him on Friday and by Sunday Night they're now, they're now pals. They're each other's wingman. We just do they are. What are your top 5 Tom Cruise movies? I would have to say risky business. Is one, the original Mission Impossible, the first is incredible. Dynamite. Rain man has to be on that list. This Top Gun: Maverick is on the list. I put Top Gun: Maverick on the list before Top Gun. Oh, wow. How about that? Do you go again though? I'm like, I felt like I was back in my high school prom days. You know, I got me actually nervous. And in the 5th spot, you go a few good men or does he call it men or on the shoot of men? How do you not put a few good men on there? Cocktail? I don't know. But the only reason why I put it on there is because I'm head over heels of anything to do with Elizabeth shoe. That's true. You can't put cocktail over a few good men. No, of course not. That would be my 5. I like it. That'd be my 5. All right, that's overreaction Tuesday. Well done, sir. All right, we'll take a break right here on the rich eisen show. We come back. "Show. Well, it's not likeable about the Celtics. Get over this hump. Earlier on the show. Sports Illustrated senior writer Chris mannix. Warriors, radio analyst, Tom tolbert coming up. Columnist for the MM QB Andrew brand. And now it's rich ice. SRE, hour number three of the rich eisen show is on the air 8 four four two O four rich to have a conversation here on this program. We've already quite deep into the NBA Finals match up the Celtics and the warriors Tom tolbert who calls warriors games in San Francisco and the Bay Area was just on an hour number two Chris mannix of Sports Illustrated an hour number one if you missed any of it go to our YouTube page YouTube dot com slash Richards and show Chris brockman and Mike del two four are in their spots over there. If you missed anything again, our YouTube page YouTube dot com slash Richards and show and then there is also our podcast as well. We've already had somebody here from Sports Illustrated now part two man who writes the who writes all about business in the MM QB in Sports Illustrated the executive director of the mored center at Villanova and his business of sports podcast is must listen to material Andrew Bryant back here in person. Good to see Andrew. Always great to be with you and come out to LA, see my son always enjoy coming in here. Terrific, good to have you here. So we just had a conversation in many people across the talk landscape today catching wind of what Aaron Donald told our friend Brandon Marshall on his IM athlete podcast that he's at peace with things. But it's not about money. However, there needs to be a business aspect that's comfortable for him and his family. How do you think less need handles that information? You know what I always say when someone says it's not about money, translation. It's all about money. You just talked about two contradictory parts of that statement on the podcast. Yes. It's not about money, but I got to take care of my family out of my business. He said that all in one sound ride as well. It's interesting because nothing's been done there. So that raises an eyebrow for me because this is a contract that has needed adjustment. And the rams have done that with Matthew Stafford with a couple others, and they're always sort of borrowing from the future on the cap. So they could actually reduce his cab by raising a bonus and spreading it out as you do with cap proration over future years. So they haven't done it yet. That's a question for me. Why haven't they done it yet? Do I think they will? It seems like it seems like they've taken care of as you mentioned Matthew Stafford. They brought in Alan Robinson. They brought in Bobby Wagner. Why not take care of Donald? The fact it hasn't been done, you know, you could always chalk it up to we're getting to it. We've been doing the other things. But that sort of makes me wonder why hasn't that been done? Has that been resistance from the Donald camp? We want to wait. We may retire. We don't know what's going on. Or is the team hesitant for some reason to get it done? Because this doesn't seem like it's a problem. If they wanted to get it done, you just add money, you figure it out, you get the new market, whatever the market has changed since Aaron did his contract a few years ago. I don't understand it. Well, could it be that they're working on cup first or how does that work? I mean, you can walk and chew gum, right? You can renegotiate two contracts at the same time. I mean, what is the mechanism? And also, I know I'm not supposed to ask multiple questions in one bite at the apple here, but I will just June 1st have anything to do with it. June 1st is again to clarify for your listeners. That's when you can release a player and have the cap impact shifted to 2023. Correct. You're pushing out the pain, which the rams do with a lot of things they do. They sort of credit card spend, push it out in the future, worry about that later. Yeah, it could be. It could be maybe they've got someone they're going to release. It doesn't come to mind who they would push off the roster that's making a lot of money right now, but that could come into it. And I think you bring up the other thing, which we have to address, cup is not someone that seems like he's going to make a deal. He's going to show rumbles of discontent. He's going to hold out. Stay away. But the fact is, the biggest story of this off season of me rich is not Russell Wilson in the quarterbacks. It is the transformation of the wide receiver market. Absolute transformation, where the top market was 18 to 20 million a year now. It's 23 to 25 a year for devonta for Tyree kill for AJ Brown, all these receivers changing the marketplace, you go back to cup, who is just way under that number. So here's another issue for the rams to have to deal with. And this is not just because they're Super Bowl champion. That hangover is always there. But they've got to address cup. If he makes a deal of it great, but even if they don't, you can't have a guy making 10 million under market to players like hill and Adams and Brown. So they've got to get that done. And they've got to get Donald figured out. But this one I found more curious because we know the market. We know they can do this. They know they've done it with other players, and he's talking about retirement, but he's saying it's business, let's watch and see what happens. Andrew Brant here on the rich eisen show and while we're wondering potentially why Donald is hitting June wondering about maybe a contract more commensurate with his abilities that he's an amazing that he's outperformed arguably a 6 year $135 million year. Why hasn't something been done yet with Kyler Murray in Arizona? What would those tea leaves? Because we had Steve kaimon and he's like, we're not trading them. And we'll take care of them. We'll get to it. We're going to get to it. But here we are and what's the weight about there? Remember the start of the off season. There was a missive from his agent, Eric burckhardt. I have my desk, because I've never seen anything so. There it is. And it was all over. It's a stationary as a reason why I have it here. It's very, very favorable. And the font and everything else. And I said on Twitter that time, the translation is show me the money. And I would have guessed if putting myself in my old agent shoes, my reaction, doing something like that would be, we approached them, they said, well, wait. They said, no, we're not doing anything. Maybe they said not this year, maybe they said not right now. We'll get into the summer. Whatever the reason. But here's the deal, rich. After three years, according to the CBA, you can extend players. You have to wait. So Kyler Murray played three years as a starter. Now he was the number one pick. So he's making 6, 7, 8 million a year, but that's 6 7 8 million a year while counterparts at his level who are veterans are making 25 to 30 a year. So the Cardinals have benefited immensely got an extraordinary value for three years. It's the best value in football. Having a rookie contract quarterback. The best value in football by far, the cowboys got it with dak Prescott, the Seahawks got it with Russell Wilson. The Chargers are getting with Justin Herbert, but after that three years, you got to make a decision. And the browns last year said to Baker Mayfield, no. We're going to wait. And it was fortuitous for them. I don't know what's going on with Lamar Jackson. And the cardinals are saying, I think they're saying, we're going to wait..

"And maybe one of the first times when totally least expected to make it may have now made it as the Eastern Conference champs taking in exhilarating towards the endgame 7 in Miami, the warriors have been just sitting around waiting after dispatching of the Mavericks within 5 games, Tom tolbert, who is intimately knowledgeable about the Golden State Warriors, their building, their franchise, he'll be joining us in about 19 minutes time. Andrew Brant longtime executive in the NFL, he'll be joining us in our number three. In person in studio, our number three is when we're going to dive deeply into the story of the weekend. Not game 7. And not anything else that's going on. 22nd time, the Celtics have made the final. 22nd time. They're 17 and four. Not that. We're not looking at that in our number three, a deep dive. We're not talking about darvin ham. The new head coach of the Lakers and the Lakers have yet to make that announcement. It was the woj bomb that happened on a Friday. A batting practice moment between the Giants and the reds and apparently it's over fantasy football and I mean that jock Peterson sent Tommy Pham and it's glorious. The whole thing is incredible. And we're going to handle it in a way that I don't think any other show is going to handle it. How's that for a tease? I'm teeth, okay? That's our number three of this program. You're not going to want to miss it. You're not going to want to tune off of peacock or SiriusXM 85 or this rich ozone show terrestrial radio outfit or Odyssey or any other way that you can get this program. It's going to be glorious is all I'm going to say on that front. 8 four four two O four rich is the number to adopt. We want to have a conversation with us here in the last day of May. But Memorial Day weekend in the books, we hope you are all healthy. And we send our best to all the families of servicemen and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our democracy in this country and for anyone out there who currently serves who knows of somebody who passed. We're sending our best to you. And we're hoping you are happy and healthy coming off of that three day weekend, which gave Chris brockman an extra day of stuff for us to overreact to. So because the weekend is now over, even though it is a Tuesday, it's time for overreaction Monday.

So, um, yeah. I mean, what? What? You know these things happen in sports, and you know, it's the league offices responsibility to To clean things up, and it can be a thank, thankless job but between the league office and and the group of umpires again, I kind of tip my cap to them. Joe Martin's going to join us from the athletic. He's the MBA rider And speaking of the MBA. We lead off with the guy who was kind of that. Don't you caught this buddy? Kind of caught fire on social media last night, That's Dallas Mavericks center Boban Marjanovic. 13 points, nine boards. And is the big boy from Serbia 74 and everybody loves him. He Ah, He's one of these big one of these big, gooey guys. He's funny. He's got yes, Yes, exactly. He made a heart sign like I love you guys like with this. It was like a gigantic heart because his arms are so huge, you know, and and he went on to do imagined either through the mic on him. They threw the mic on him last night and inside the N B, A and TNT now Coach. Help me out here. Do you know anything about his appearance in the movie? John Wick? Is this you know anything about this? No. I've actually never seen John Wick movie on none of us. I think the entire show is John Wick. Free, right, Nicolas? Wingless, Very water more help us. Did he? Waterboy help us on that. He's got a weak head. He's only free to how did we go over four on that? Witless says, Cope said, Is that Chiana thing? It is, it is a can or if he was in John Wick, Chapter three, Parabellum and Boban was in it. Okay. Okay. So in addition to the Mavericks get a nice win last night of the Clippers. There was just some riff in with the crew and Boban about his movie career. Even though you knew you were great in the movie, John Wick this summer was gonna believe what my question is, if that happened in real life, but it was in the script when you kick candle reason. Hey, of course, my friend. I saw I saw that from shaky. So here's a lot of movies and he kicked everybody else. I was like, Okay, I tried to do the same, but I get up with the kick my ass. I tell you what, dude, I'm often instant fan instant fan. I get up was already good. Good. Ah, who was us? Sure, my friend show up on the block. And there's Boban 74 years, right man is no good. "That you gotta wear pants all the time. Forget it. I'm out cold. I wouldn't even let you wear shorts. Oh, you know me. I were sure still pull up short. I mean, it's way long sleep sure, but I definitely were short. So yeah, all those but the shorts is that that's probably number one. Such is out. It's just, you know, I wouldn't even think about doing a club. You couldn't wear shorts. The distance is probably like I don't know the distance. All the others aboutthe. Same Does I'm not. I want to go play course. But I mean, it's it's narrow. It's that it's that if I remember correctly that ridiculously near I mean, you can hit driver there, but the greens of small and the greens Air ages saw it just like it was fun. I played it a few times, and I enjoyed it. It's I mean, it's a world class course. Don't get me wrong. It's just not my kind of course, like gum, or I like Linc style courses because then visually want to get Teo get on the tea. You just feel like you can miss And even though you might get in trouble, But there's a lot of length courses out there were visually It looks appealing. But then you realize even if you go off the fairway, there's a trees. But the rough is brutal, like the rough is thick and it's deep and it might as well be trees because it's hard to get out of that stuff. But Just visually it my eyes like I feel more comfortable over the ball when there's a tree lined fairways. It's like, Oh, man, I just did. It just starts messing with the golf's just like heaven. Water in front of you is playing with your head. Yeah, it's such a mental game. It's like when somebody says all the waters out there. Oh, yeah, it is right there. See it. Don't tell me it's not there. Do you think I am four again? Of course. The waters there. I see you're not gonna trick me to think the water is not there. Ah, but it just Yeah, I like it. I don't mind the grains like the course I play. Over here, the greens of pretty tricky and they got some undulation and they got some breaks and, um, and they got some speed to him. It's a really It's a really nice public course. But the fairies of mostly open like the Mo. There's a few that are a little tight, and you probably shouldn't use driver But this is a number of him when you could just haul back and just let her rip and you know you get Is to par fives on Ah On the backside 15 and 17 and it goes part five part three, then comes back with a par five and you can use almost both fairways so you could just get up INGE's crush it and there's not a whole lot there. To hurt you. Ah, if you go left, like too far left on both of them. You'll get in some water on the 17 15. You gotta balance like you kill a jogger on the way by. But if you get the same down the middle of the fairway is like in the middle there and you're probably probably gonna hit one of them, so it's not ideal. But but it's like a security blanket like you know what? I could miss it a little bit here. And I can still get away with it. It's not. It's not gonna be a huge deal, and it just starts to mess with me a little bit when The fairways or a little a little too narrow. And you just sort of thinking, Okay, You got to be perfect and they hit this there. And if I just miss a little bit needed, tighten up on the swing a little bit and said it is leading it. Let me go. So, yeah. I mean, it's great. Of course, a zit. Is it just For a few reasons that it's not from a C Olympic. You missed down if you didn't have that antiquated, no shorts rule, and maybe you're a little bit closer to the fine city of Alameda. Tom Tolbert would have been a member of your establishment. I appreciate his time and he was he was, he was the real deal. He was a really, really passionate Giants fan We know later. In his career. He became a monster shark span as well. But everybody at the station had their own kind of like relationships with him and different politics and all that. So we're gonna play some Ralph sound and we're going to take some phone calls. We have Dwayne Keiper on deck to Donald. Join us in about 10 minutes. So before we do that copes if we could on then we'll go into the cooler content later in the power hour, but just as an appetizer I wanted to get some in house. Ralph Barbieri, like talking about other can be our people. So here's Ralph just to remember Ralph and I want to do it like New Orleans style. Let's celebrate his memory and and try to laugh and smile a little bit. It is sad. It's very sad, but at the same time, it's good to remember the essence of who he was and coped if we could let's do Kaji here, where Ralph I guess goes after Tom for for not playing baseball here. Let's check this one out. But it's obvious to me who the athlete with a professional news has the sin of oh, in time readies the picture will give up the home rent a perfect before we let you go in with a bad play. He never played. Baseball ended. Done. Thank you playing softball in Hawaii. She made him over there may have, but that's a good little snapshot. That's how the show sounded, man. That's that was like what their whole thing was A of course here, Tom just laughing, being the former.

Dr Padrow exploits. What this guy would do is he would hang out with basketball players or football players like college players. Get to know him a little bit. Take him out for a couple of beers he likes slipped a Mickey in it would bring them back to their hotel room right back to the hotel room. They'd be passed out. They would wake up in the morning with like Polaroids of him standing over him would like his crank in their face and blackmail him. Absolutely incredible. I mean, this guy would just and they basically to say, listen, but listen, But I want money. I want this. I'll be your agent Bobby. Whatever you want. You got for just, like, all right, With all due respect to the family oriented listeners up and down the West Coast across America, tell me you did not just say he would stand over with a Polaroid with taking their face. That's Tom Tolbert and I think for that exchange alone, I'm almost willing to take my Hall of fame plaque off of my shelf and give it to Tolbert. Tom Tolbert was talking. I was 1998. So if memory serves that was at the final Four. Probably you could tell that was a remote. A remote location. Maybe not. Maybe that was an event. Maybe that was a station visit. I don't really know. Tom Tolbert. I was talking about his time at Arizona, he said as my first big university gig because he also played at UC Irvine. So he was talking about the quote FBI coming in to give a lecture to the players. Be careful of this. Be careful of that. And be careful of this guy in particular. But didn't Tom Tolbert make the original crank call? Yes, he did years before. So you're right. You have in that sense. Tom Tolbert is one of my favorite human beings ever. Tom Tolbert is one of the best guys ever. And definitely one of my favorite athletes and interviews also mentioned once he came on talk too sober to catch a plane. So Tolbert and I did the interview, And then we went to a bar, which was right down the story because we had, like, 1/2 hour and I think Tober drank six beers in nine minutes and I try to keep up and he left and I was just on the ground.
