"Line with three free throw attempts. Second time now for the Nets. I'll tell you what. Long guys will is no. Nobody good to put on the line for Brooklyn Nets. They shoot it so well from the free throw line there literally. Case could be made that the best shooting team pure shooting their number one in field goal percentage. Other number two and three point percentage, the number six in free throw percentage. That pretty much covers it all. 47 51 of the line through games one and two second free throw. Did everything go in off the room three times and no good. First missing the line for Durant. Sitting on 26 points, six rebounds. Harding has a double double 21 in 10 Tonight. I'm watching it flows out on the reef. A Romeo Lankford, Honey, you just have to be more disciplined, can't be given away points and the Celtics had those Jason Tatum missed two out of three on his trip that they're going to need all these points. Look, but he's so good. Offensively you could slow down a little bit. But you have to put some points on the board. Kind of 75 After the free throws up, Tom Smart, Deep three straight away and found got it to go, Marcus Smart. Three quarter of the game, 17 points. And guess what made it even more sweet for the Boston Celtics fans number 11 foul on Kyrie Irving It is his first back to back monster threes for Marcus. Smart boy before We'll close out. Wow, this may be operating. We're gonna look whether Kyrie Irving's feet got underwater smart. Let's become the favorite flagrant foul of our officiating for player safety situation is another look on the replay. I don't think that's gonna be operated. We went straight up and down, Marcus Inninety him. Yes, he did not make a move into the landing area. The shooter I gotta do some quick addition, Marcus Smart, I believe is four for six from the three point line tonight is he came in eight for 16. He spent on fire in this serious Well for 22. That's pretty good. Shoot. Yeah, I'd say so. And much needed all these two here. Boston looked like they were real in a little bit. They weren't playing well very well on either end of the court and all of a sudden Marcus Smart with two very, very big threes. And you know interesting enough, Both of you. Common foul. One shot would call both times The assistance of Jason Tatum. Jason Tatum's penetration caused at that time, found Marcus on top on the previous play when he spun away from Kevin Durant. Got Marcus. Smart. Be open. Look, that's a great point. I didn't think about that. Trail of MBA podcast for yours hosted by Zach Lowe. Brian Win horse and Adrian. Would Sadowski join the conversation where you get your podcasts? So smart. The line. The follow on Irving is his first And a chance to take the lead back here in the quarter. It's an 18 17 Brooklyn Quarter. Celtics leave 78 75. They need their free throws. They needed Marcus Smart to play like this since May 2nd. That's when Jalen Brown went out. Boston is three of seven and has zero wins against a winning team on really That win occurred in the very first game and you want to look at it another way there. They've only went twice it Irving through three wing, right? No good. So the smart get another look. He's got seven points in the last two trips. Tatum has the bounce going between the circles. Boston leads by four. Turns his back to the gold works down here to the foul line, then shoots into contact and a whistle. The shot is way off. But Landry Shannon is gonna get whistled here for the foul. Jason Tatum. It's so good baiting that contact and you got James Harden doing in our one and Jason Tatum on the other. They are so good. They just get their defender come out of the crouch a little bit or to lean forward. They have a knack for as they're going straight up, just kind of lean in and there's all kinds of contact and they get the call generally, every time Tatum's the youngest in Boston Celtics history to average 25 points in the season was up over 26 for this regular season gets hold free throws here. Tatum is north of 30 Years, 31 points. When you get a couple of fifties and sixties peace that helps your average chasing Tatum, putting some numbers up this season for the seas. The monster comeback going on in Dallas. By the way, Harris up top for three. No good rebounded by Grant Williams, which now 32 to 27 Mavericks over the Clippers. Late first, Tatum drives right slide lays in a pile of the glass. No good there answer secures the rebound will bring it across himself, Katie to the right file out. Instead, it bounce pass to Harris, who tried to turn the corner sealed off of the foul line, flips it out to shampoo to reset Durant, the right foot court. Shock like a 12 for 10 to go in the quarter around between the legs dribble one on one leg for drives him down the rights of the land, shoots the fader and scores off the right low post. You did a good job staying in front or half in front of Katie. But then when the shot would help, he didn't raise either hand. So Katie had no obstruction whatsoever to shoot over. 29 Durant Tatum, right following the standard outside the Smart, Open three bottom, Marcus Smart got five threes now in this game and 13 threes and two and three quarter games of this serious Had one of these nights earlier. I've got to look it up during the next time out. He had one of these monsters three point nights before 77 Durant to the right elbow. Shit from 14 soft bounce off the window. Good. Nice defensive rebound for Evan Fournier. Warrior on the bounce Silent Left drives a nerve in euros. Temple Lane Strip loose and stolen by Nicholas Plastic Out ahead. Irving Kyrie on the Gaston the lane. Leah? No! Brandt Williams, I think got a fingertip on it. And smile will clear in here for the Celtics. You lead 84 to 70 73 minutes to go in the third. Celtics have got to take better care of the ball. Faster. Tatum sideline right right at the break of the three point line started by Shannon and he shuffled his feet. Oh, three second violation of whistle Defensive three on Klaxon. I believe Tatum. Get away with travel. Yes, it did. So a technical free throw will come here for the Celtics on the other side of a time out. This is a media time out. We'll take the fullest. Both teams huddle up to 49 to go in the third quarter 11 tonight. Here in Game three. That TD Garden Boston 84, Brooklyn 77. This is the NBA playoffs on ESPN Radio presented by TNT. Aggressive.

Around three a m elizabeth nineteen year old cousin. Jessica woke to the sound of a picture falling off the dresser just under her bedroom window and when she looked she saw something or someone trying to cut through the window screen now at the time she screamed and her dad came running but whoever had been trying to get in got away. Now the thing about this is the family. Doesn't think that jessica was the target because she had only recently started sleeping in that room in his book. Tom smart says at the bedroom had belonged to jessica's fourteen year old sister. Olivia up until just recently in the two of them switched. Interestingly olivia was super close to her cousin. Elizabeth like stone and emily free reported for. Abc that the two were considered best friends at the time so the real could never is still out there and coming after more young girls in the same family. "The fbi to create a profile of their suspect as a way to narrow their search and brick. can i. have you read this to us short. So this is from tom. Smarts book in plain sight quote when it was dark they they being the profiler noted that from the outside the home was like a fish bowl with no curtains on the windows and plenty of places for stocker to hide in the cover of the scrub oak before the agents left they came up with a profile of the person who kidnapped elizabeth and left that profile with the task force. Their assessment was that this was a sex offence that the crime was premeditated and at the abductor would have taken elizabeth to accrue determined. Place they believed he would be keeping track of the case through the media he probably had previous sexual issues and he may have been arrested for sexual offenses such as lawyers and put. That profile doesn't match any one in the smart circle. Not even this wider circle that they've created which now includes like their church community even people living in their subdivision so they start to look at another potential circle. You see. The smart house was relatively new and there had been tons of finish work happening in the six years since and according to two thousand sixteen salt lake city. Weekly story by colby frazier during that time at least sixty tradespeople and contractors and handyman had been in and out of the house working on different projects and someone who worked on the house could totally know that the side door had an alarm. That didn't work not to mention knowing the layout of the house. Oil is the slept all of those sorts of details. Exactly i mean i say. They narrowed their list. But even this list isn't super small. I mean we're still talking about at least sixteen people and that's not nothing but it is a place to start focusing on this list. The handyman list as they called it. They find out that some contractors had been in there for a couple of days maybe like a week or two but there were others who had spent months even close to a year working inside and outside the smart house which is more than enough time to get super familiar with the physical space but also long enough to get to know. Ed and lois and more importantly their children who continue to live there wall these renovations were going on. And it doesn't take investigators long to wiggle their list of sixty plus potential suspects down to just one name. This episode is made possible by better help you. I got the sweetest message from one of you recently..

"Real money. Could you tell me why the stock market went down Wednesday and Friday? I think I think I could safely say they were. You got more sellers more sellers than buyers. I knew he was gonna do that. I knew it. I'm pretty confident in that Answer, Bill. I'm very confident in that. Actually let me give you a better answer than his smart, elegant. Oh, I see what you want The speculative answer. No, no, no, no. Oh, yes. Give me my regular answer, either, because, Well, let me explain why what you're going to say a speculative. I believe they're somewhere around. 60. What do you think? You know, 60 60 Idea, 60 million trades today. You know why people sold and why people bought you would have to go interview all of them. Then you would have to collate that information to come up with this guy said it was because game stop this guy's There was no one knew what I was gonna say. You have no idea. Go ahead. You have no clue what I was gonna say. I was going to say, because the market does at times go down. It has to, at times go down and we will never know in advance why it went down nor know in hindsight, why it went down. We just can't know those things. Now, let me tell you what you will find. As you will find thousands of people on CNBC E on Fox business in the Wall Street Journal and Barons and Market Watch All of these places you will find thousands. Tens of thousands of people who know what you want to hear. And they're gonna tell you what you want to hear, because it's called pandering. They're pandering to everybody out there. Who asks that question? Why did the stock go down? Because the next question typically is different is yet what's going to do from here? Yep. And I could go on Monday and I'll give you another smart Alec. Answer. Ready? It'll go up or down. There you go. No Michael Side could go flat. No, but usually it's up or down. Rarely do we get a 000 across the board with all the major indexes. These sound like smart, Alec. Answer. Your stupid reality is, But the reality is that is the correct answer it answer. It. Sounds like I'm being a You know what? But I'm not. I'm just telling you, this is what we know This is what everybody knows. But as you just said, there's this Multi trillion dollar industry built on the fact that people have somehow put themselves out there and you're supposed to believe them, and they don't know. Sorry. Then you will get here. Some of the answers you you might get if you ask this of others things like well. The market was trading at a ridiculously high price earnings multiple and it was due for a pullback and traders were believing that the Fed might raise interest rates or something. You know they're going to give you 1000 and one different stories. Well, what we're worried about covert whatever it might be, But the fact of the matter is We do not have a single solitary clue, and we never will. And if anybody gives you a different answer than that, This is a This is a absolute fact. If anyone gives you a different answer than Tom Smart, Alec e answer are my slightly more impassioned answer. They're lying to you. Please understand that when we're talking Billions and billions and billions and billions of dollars that play every single day. There is incredible incentive. To say things you want to hear. Not that you need to hear. And this is an absolute fact about the markets. You cannot know in advance what they're going to do, Please Every single one of you listening to the show. Get that through your heads. You cannot know it. It is literally impossible and any of you who believe that the future is accurately and consistently predictable. I'm not going to be a smart Alec. I'm gonna be hard on you is totally deluded. All right, Mr Khrushchev quit pounding on the table. I don't have my shoe off. I didn't get my shoe, though, because the question that always just so what do I do? Well, here's what you do. You mention the risk was earlier you take the risk was number two. You know what return you're trying to make on the money. The purpose of that money number three. You accept the volatility that's going to be associated with the return You're trying to make. And then stopping Take up chess. No, you take up chess. You do something else Because you're not watching this. It does not matter. You find another game that is interesting and will not reduce how much money you have, because watching the market guaranteed will mean less money for you and your heirs. Would the future I would suggest, though, if you're looking for a game, don't become a soccer referee. Don't Don't come on. I'll be back on the field next week. I know it's a total whistle and three masks. I want you to get on that treadmill and run for 90 minutes with a mask. Alaska. Yeah, see radio and make sure you wear your apple watch. We just sort of sit by and let this go on for 100 days. How do we know that It won't continue? And basically we're sort of tacitly agreeing to it by not doing anything. And so we decided. Look, we can't afford this in Texas. We need federal law to be followed it. Zafer benefit to our citizens that federal be followed. And so we felt like this was the time to try to go to court and stop it. Federal judge in the case didn't indicate when he would provide a ruling, however, on this request for a temporary restraining order, so we don't know nobody knows what the law is any more. They see the Democrat Party of delivering with Republicans didn't and I'll tell you this much. If Republicans win, which I hope to do We have got to page from a book. In terms of really reaching out. Do those who have who are I need help. You and Tom let me test assign you the platinum plan for Urban America, which is primarily black America and the dreamers and allowing people to stay here who do not have any criminal record. Trump offered that year one and Pelosi turned it down. He wanted the wall he got on the wall. Those were the two things we got it. We got to do not an amnesty, but a regularization for everyone is in this country. We gotta let the dreamers stand build their lives, and we have to make that platinum planned work. I think he's going to do better than the 8% who got out of the black vote last time significantly better. He might, He might get 50% higher. It'll be interesting. I mean, the fact that almost every black woman voted Democrat you had 14% blackmail who voted for him last time. I think you're right. I think I have more. Ah ah, I don't have a hold on your show or somewhere else. That's the black book was, like 14% true for him, but they didn't differentiate between male and female. That doesn't excuse what was being done till But it's part of the background and I'm thinking If you don't know that, and you're reporting on national International news, Shame on you. The number of people who come up on national Talkshows talking about anything who haven't read a book in a year. It's malpractice. All I can think of is the one sneaking up on me now and sucking its blood coursed. Their heart loves these bats. No. These are horrible creature also told us he taught them to run. My God. We are in deep trouble. Has a bad ever bitten you? Oh, yeah, well, sure, I mean, I catch the bats and I'm working with abouts, and they don't like being caught by a giant human and so they they bite in self defense. If you have been bitten by a vampire bat. Are you yourself now a bat. Are you going to turn into a bat now? I wish he's a bad dancer. Bat thiss guy shows up on our show talking all nice about. He's a bad I'm playing for the other team. Clearly. No wonder you're such an enthusiast. That's why we lend bat's money. So you're an expert on bats? I know, but I understand you're also an expert on parasites. Yeah, I have my PhD on vampire bats, which technically are parasites because they feed on blood. Can you tell us about it? Particularly gross parasite. You've had some experience with Would you sure? I mean, out of all the grade and my axe, and I wasn't talking to you, Joel. Fortunately, I've not had any interactions with Brayden, but I have a bond fly. So I was in Belize and I've got a mosquito bite. And unbeknownst to me when the mosquito bit me, it dropped off this egg, which then molted into a larva. And then the larva went down into the hole that the mosquito had made. And then it started growing. And so I got back to Canada, where I lived, and I got this mosquito bite on top of my head and it starts growing and I don't know what Brandon's like, but I felt like that was pretty good Last question. They tried to kill off Pepsi's similar product. Penicillin cleared by association and it worked. Pepsi clear is no more. Last question. If you get this right, you win Tabs name came about when they had a computer randomly generate words for them to choose from. There were other contenders. Which of these was almost the name of tab. Was it a abs? Ooh, Be zap or see Zaf zap. Your right zap is correct. So is absolute stuff. They were all names considered for the product that became Tab. Bill had a Dan do so smart. "Long two times a rebel champ former patriot. Ram Eagle Defensive Player. Of course his dad is Howie Long. Who's been a Rockstar and Fox? Sports Forever Chris. Long be joining us here in about fifteen minutes joy. How are you great? Happy Back on with you Colin. It's nice you can see joy now. You've heard her voice for a couple of weeks and we're tinkering. I'm watching all sorts of different people. Today you know. They're at their homes broadcasting I have a microphone and a set up in my house. I haven't used it yet. I could I do I do prefer Having people here and being live with people prepping and trying out some of the stuff. That's how I like to do it. but there are people that Like rush limbaugh does his from his home So everybody's different and we're all just kind of getting by and we're trying to figure it out very encouraging numbers now hospitalization rates going down in Europe and most American cities right now. We don't have the surge in the hospitals that's overwhelmingly Jersey's only got two hospitals of the seventy. They've got that are like a pack as of right now. That's what I'm reading online from people I trust. So there's good news social distancing still in effect for the next couple of weeks. I think that's vital. It does look like the University of Washington model. The peak is in three days not ten. That's good news. We're looking for peaks. We're looking for hospitalization rates. Going down so we can at least create a little more normalcy in our lives. But it's going to be a trickle. It's not gonNA be a flood back into our normal lives. This whole this is not our economy's not going to be a V. SHAPE. It's going to be a slow push back. It's going to take months and months to. Let's talk about this before we get to Howard stern and Tom Brady number one the NBA yesterday Adam. Silver said he is eyeing Labor Day. That's the first weekend of football in America. College already starts on Labor Day weekend. Nfl starts the following Thursday. And then we're football season in earnest begins once the NFL really begins so June tenth so if Labor Day's the end a and we know the playoffs last eight weeks that means you have to start the playoffs by July first. Okay so what that Ledeen eat. I think it's reasonable to think you need three weeks before that for training camp and maybe a couple of exhibition games. Because as I've said before there's nobody really we already knew the playoff teams are Portland. Could get really really hot and win. Five Straight Games if you had the regular season and get in But the eight plays team would have to lose three or four those five we know who the playoff teams are. I'm not going to lose a lot of sleep. If Washington doesn't get in or Portland doesn't get in love Portland but they have. They've been wildly inconsistent. Not very good defensively in the back court. We know who they are. We Love Damian Lillard so I think they should just start with the playoffs and go. And as I've said before the Miami Heat and Lebron James I title was strike shortened year. Nobody cares if the end of a movie is Great People Forget about the choppy Middle Lebron's first title with him. Bosh was a strike shortened season. And you never bring it up and we never hold against Lebron. Why because it was awesome. It was an awesome championship. So if there's a good championship playoff round. Lebron faces the Clippers Milwaukee and Boston. Nobody's GonNa care that you only pay like sixty eight games sixty five. Nobody's GonNa care. Nobody's GonNa care if the NFL and we played fourteen sixteen and he had great playoffs and a great December. Nobody twenty-five years at a bar having a mic light cares so what you basically have to do in the NBA. July first. You have to start the season. I think it takes three weeks of training camp in some at least. Inter squad games to get ready. So players are fairly finely tuned twenty days of practice. So cannot happen well do. I think we're GONNA see significantly. Lower numbers of this virus will be a flat in the curve. I believe in in in nine weeks from today when you'd have to start practice. Yes will we have machines capable of testing people within five minutes? It looks like according to Dr Falcons. Were getting close on that. Yes will it. Be Seamless? No will it be perfect. No it's managing a crisis. I've said before now that we have not had the hospital surges outside of New York City. That are predicted. It's now just managing this crisis. Once you flatten the curve. It's managing you. Don't have the hospital issue so we have forty seven thousand suicides in America. Today you manage you. Don't solve it okay. The reason our teen You know our death rate in America if you look at the average American lives we seventy-nine in Japan. It's I think it's eighty one and a half people say it's Diet. Some of it is teenagers. Were on the road driving in this country we let them and there's a lot of accidents and it sad we manage it. We never solve it so once the hospital surge issue is sort of not the primary issue. It's just saving lives. You manage it. You're not going to solve it if the NBA came back and had a player coaches with Cova nineteen. You just manage it. You don't end it so I think I in my entire life. You can't solve every problem you you. You get rid of the scariest part of the problem. And from that point forward it is a it is a medical management situation because we have to now have really adult conversations and I know they're uncomfortable about pivoting back to an economy that I think is going to hurt the poorest Americans. It's GonNa hurt the poorest Americans. We can't have that we. We can't be there already at a massive disadvantage. We can't end their hope. So now we have to have real conversations in America about restarting the American economy. It'll be a trickle not a v-shape but this is just another thing. We have to manage once the hospital. Surge we can get past that stage and we could be four to five to six days past it. We're getting close in most cities. Then we manage so I think the NBA. He's got a shot. I'm not gonNA make any predictions. I think we should just get through April and early. May I think we should just not make predictions for a month? You know come back to me. Like may may eighth may tenth. We can start making predictions. Now let's just wait all right so Tom Brady was on Howard Stern. This morning. It was interesting I think the big bomb on it was the the obvious. One was Tom Made up his mind before most of us thought he did when he was going to leave New England. I don't think there was a final final decision. You know until it happened but I would say I'm probably knew before the start of last season that it was my last year. I I knew that you know it was just our time. Was you know our time was was coming to an end. It's okay it was a great relationship. Tom Put his house up for sale. Alex was trainer. Put his house up for sale a handful of reporters I trust. Jeff Darlington does a great job He was out there saying It this is serious and there were signs and it was a great relationship but it ended but Tom sort of knew going into it. I'm moving and I would say this for most Americans who changed jobs you just don't wake up in the morning and go. I'm leaving. It's just like a relationship you don't wake up in the morning and say yeah he treats me like garbage out. They say you have an emotional affair before you have a physical affair you think about stuff you drive. I think about all the time in the car I leave my show. I drive home and I tried to flush some things out so I don't burn my wife with things if I have something that I'm I'm I'm thinking about and it's kind of an issue. I like to turn the radio off and talk to myself and think about it and get through it. People generally don't make massive decisions in an instant. Tom Thought about this great thought for several years and then over the course of the season of it. He made his mind up. I also thought was really vulnerable of Tom. Brady and I think it's really cool. That he he opened up with Howard Howard's going to ask some personal stuff you know. What kind of underwear does she wear? I mean that's Howard okay so but I thought it was a very adult interview in very classy and Tom. Smart but he was. He did talk about His marriage to Giselle and that at some point She she there was a little come to Jesus. Meeting Giselle wasn't happy in the marriage. She didn't feel like I was doing my part for the family. You know and she felt like I would play football all season and she would take care of the house and then all of a sudden when the season ended. I'd be like great. Let me get into all my other business activities. I had to like check myself. Because she's like I have goals and dreams to. It's just not this. You know do these things either so you you better start you know taking care of things at the house. She actually wrote me a letter and it was a very thought out letter that you know she wrote it to me and I still have it and you know I keep it in a drawer and I read it you know. And it's a very heartfelt for her to say. This is where I'm at marriage. I think that's cool to talk about and it's incredibly relatable to know that Tom Brady. His wife writes him letters to and is not always happy. He also talked about the first time he ever was introduced to Giselle. We met at this wine bar called Turks and frogs in the West village. I was sitting in and she walked in. She sat down. I mean obviously I thought she was the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life and then as we got to know each other within a few months we we thought like all right like this is this is GonNa be pretty serious and it was a you know it was interesting time. 'cause we found out after that that my ex girlfriend was pregnant with my oldest son. We were forced into this very important thing that was happening in our life at a new part of our relationship. I found out a lot about Giselle through this experience. She found out a lot about me dealing with a situation that was I would say a very You know not not I would say a very easy one. I loved it. I thought it was the new Tom. You Gotta learn more about Tom. It was a two hour interview I'm sure a lot of people that'll that'll put that on their podcast that Hampshire that will do great numbers but I got a little refreshing new tom and open. Tom talked about his personal life. you know. I mean New England system and culture the DNA of the Patriots is suppressed information. Everything suppress comments. And you know Tom. Wants to you know the new. Tom Is going to have opinions. I'm going to do interviews. I WANNA grow my business. I want to win football games and and I've said this The three times I've left in my life the one thing I'll say every time I left a company that three or four times I've done it. You try to solve the biggest issue at your previous place and the two things. Tom Keeps showing me and talking about. He wanted. Better weapons to throw to and he wanted to have a little more fun and fun is doing. Howard stern interviews. Bruce Arians is fun. Bruce Arians is fun and the Tampa. Bay buccaneers have weapons and those are the two things that Tom I think was seeking coming out of New England. And I think he's I think he's going to have both of those answer now. There'll be some inefficiencies maybe going to a losing franchise from a winning culture but I like to. I don't often tell you to go. Listen to somebody else's podcast but goal is new. Have Your own opinions on the Brady Howard stuff? We.

"You to our link and yeah a little bit of every purchase goes to supporting on so if you run A re complex at like this movie he's based off like the Dark Knight returns by Frank Miller or the long Halloween that the dark knight's based off or Frank Miller's year one that Bam begins based off of you can find them on comics analogy but yeah let's get into it. Hey Tom Explain next portion of our episode so the next portion if you actually haven't listened to our previous two episodes you may not get the gist but when it's a completed film that allows us to it's a good Josh Watch this. The first time you listen to the show is a segment where we guess who's going to ground guests. He was the lowest reading the group out of one out of five five in the lowest and the lowest in the group becomes a group of the episode technically now for the week since the recording of a little behind curtain and we coach everyone at home to play along since you think would've been the ground but also the numbers that you had for the episode since I always explain and sometimes mess it up. I'm GonNa let Ali pick back and you have the power had such a visceral came. One of the extras came out a a little differently than the cops from that are not good. That's not good golly. ooh I'M GONNA go for the Dark Knight Rises. That's the one that's why we were talking about Alex. I'M GONNA go get one. That's not good ooh. That's not not good not good. I can't I take Oh God I take gory snap. He's not happy about that. I Pick Josh to go next city. I thought you were going to do that in the main voice no no Oh oh no it's hard 'cause. I don't have any suss out like what's in all these fans yeah. It's really hard. That's not going to sell off Caitlyn to did I picked you merely a merely adopted bottomless. Did you go. I'm going to get us us. It Be Josh Core and Patriots on lease payments. Let's do this so sorry mighty. Your visceral reaction was was jarring. I took that as your pick for some pink aw aw Tim Allen the House I pick I'm actually going to go with with the Tom Smart Choice three free smart. That's my guess Dammit Okay Roy Quick Ceylan. How long have we known each other now all of us more than a year about a year and a half so we'll talk about that? Wouldn't you say that that's an educated. I guess yeah so a smart guest okay so when I say guests so all all the tallies are in we're going to go to the complete other that which is initial reactions and first impressions of the movie. I'm going to go. I Ali shut the hell up yeah. He always talks all the time yeah could you stop talking about. This is not the Ali show all the time. You're always running the show. Oh all the time so you all the segments that you you said that dark night was your your ultimate experience washing a film for even though I watched the dark knight several times in one day the dark knight rises is my ultimate film me watching expense. I didn't even watch an AMEX. The thing is let me set the stage rolled out so maybe it wasn't a good guess smart so I was dating this girl. I was like Bowel Mary. This go shots boy Anthony Crespo who was in the military in like shout he had a weakened offer some of that but he was in towns I hadn't seen him in like years and and like he graduate doesn't eight and so I haven't seen him since two until twenty four twelve and we're both like pump for this movie and I got a bunch of my friends we went out to the same theater and Thomas regency up in town and in one of the things that made it one of the best experiences with my boy raph Rafael Qahira we've got some two babies they're they're lovely and when with all my close friends and we went to go watch this movie and it was like normally maybe seven o'clock showing or somebody that wouldn't even that late and the theory was packed people were dressed as Batman people were just with joker cool right but it wasn't even a big theater it wasn't like an Imax rain tonight that and we always in the back so we sat right underneath the projector and like were waiting waiting and like I'm catching up with people haven't seen in a while and then like you start hearing people like Batman Batman House chanting in a theater gang buck and wild and then Raff had this dog tag because we are boys in a dog died. They had a batman symbol in there now and then he also was one of those boys had like always have a knife with them always have like a flashlight flashlight with some shit but he also had a flashlight and he flashed a light behind the dog tag and so it luminated the the Batson will onto the screen. ooh everyone fucking went crazy. It's like that one like Gifford shift where you're on call of the people at the bar like whenever they've show yeah epic scenes Charlie it was insane thought cease we're going to get ripped off and it was like one of the best moments I ever felt because it was just like so much excitement site meant for one movie and this is going to be insane in amazing and I I don't know I I love to a watching this film and then there's so much fan service that happened and there's so much ret conning of what people in the mainstream thought of wet Batman the mythologies were an inclusion and kind of going deeper deeper into a well established roots that the that the Batman Lord did as well as what Nolan had established they loved and I remember gang so hyped for it and I I left not disappointed because the one thing that Christian Bale said and they obviously talked about how he's ledgers death before this point change the way that they're going to make the film. Tom and their big thing was Kinda like their big module as that this is the perfect ending to Bruce Wayne Story and I was just like this. I feel like it was nice. Yeah definitely going to be some feels going into this. Yeah I cried out of my penis are GONNA go. That's not that's not even an I o snakes true. I once again once again so anyway that's my experience. You know I went to a midnight. I Max once again just because I had a great experience doing that for a dark night so I was already obviously by the second film I was already hooked on this trilogy and had done my research Nolan as director and all that kind of stuff off between the two films so by the time the third phone came out. I'm I'm there. I'm day one money's been spent yes so I I went into this obviously knowing Bain from the animated series and from the Schumacher Batman and Robin but was hyped on the trailers like the trailers were fantastic that scene where that guy's run across a football field as it like disintegrates below him and all the football players through I know I know that they're going for broke on this right. Obviously I had heard the rumors that they had to change it because of that but what better story to tell than Bain Breaking Batmans back and breaking his body so I went in with pretty high expectations and I left lifetime. I left very pleased. We're having watched it in. I Max Gorgeous and I was kind of let down to know that the some of the people I went with were not stoked on it. I I obviously I've read a Lotta reviews the research I watch this movie a bunch. It's one that I still love. I think I understand understand people's issues with it and where they're false ally but they're not things that bother me. I guess in that sense. I didn't find this to be. I mean it's it's hard to compete with the joker. Obviously he ledgers joker but I think fucking terrifying I love his characterization this film home and I've said it in the last two episodes and I'll say it again they treated these characters allowed respect new what they were doing with them and there was nothing that wasn't planned out making him a tactile. Heil genius as far as like warfare goes is brilliant yeah. It's closer to the comedy yeah so all in all. I'm really happy with it. I'm excited to kind of get meat and potatoes. I have a lot of questions that maybe you guys can answer on the other side of that that I mean obviously you've done your research on this. Well now so maybe maybe I can get some of those questions answered as to why maybe people don't like it as much but I love it. I think it's probably one of the most beautiful films I've seen too. I Oko next I will it look good. answer corey. Josh hates the movie no my first impression was I didn't like the movie as much I will say that going into. This is GonNa be much like what I said with dark night where I used to have some qualms but I don't anymore now that I've watched it so many times and taken in little details. There's things that I go okay. I appreciate this differently. I mean going going into it. It was such an interesting kind of emotional roller coaster because you you had the passing of heath and so you knew that the that change is happening happening and then you had Tom Hardy who I love being cast in a Batman film me like okay. I'm I'm here for it. I'm like I'm not Tom Hardy. I'm not like skeptical but I'm like okay we have seen him from inception and we bought into it and and then you had anne hathaway being cast his cat woman and it was kind of like okay another casting that I'm like I like Anne hathaway but in this okay all right all all right I'm going to go along with the journey and the journey and I walked out of it pretty pleased. I have one. I had one qualm that it it's a stupid question but I'll bring it up later her that I don't have any more than I'm like okay but I've thoroughly now that I have watched it so many times. I'm just it is a wonderful film. It's just fantastic. Start to finish that I I am just like this is the Kaelin time yeah today I went to Josh's house today and Watch by herself just me broken news house while they were sleep and watch the movie on his CV. My cab surround sound no to today was the first time I'd had seen dark knight rises and almost called it a different name. 'cause I'm really bad at remembering Batman moving yeah even wrote it down almost that it rock Where are you going to call it? Dark non-return returns again because his hands and repeats darkness is so a lot of the things I'd kind of heard I'd never seen the movie and I didn't want anyone to spoil it for me. So anytime people talked about it'd be like no I haven't seen it. Don't just don't spoil because I wanted the time where I finally do see it too. I want want to be in there and have the surprises seven years of build a seven years of build up but it Kinda worked because I I had had these like.

"I think Tom smart enough to realize you're gonna need this guy gronk on. But to me that picture kinda sums up Tom Brady Nikial hairy at his house, hanging catching footballs Nikial, Harry won't be twenty two years old till December Tom Brady's forty two years old. That's I'm no math major, but a twenty plus year difference, and they're still grinding working together, Tom Chelsea handler. And I'm launching a brand new podcast with iheartradio called life will be the death. Of me, and I'm gonna talk to all these different people, my BFF Mary McCormack. That's what we should call. My book tour the apology, or great idea. Sorry. Everyone on this whole podcast should be called. It should be called with the orange because of the orange theme in the book Archie. Glad I went to therapy. Life will be the death of me with. Chelsea handler listening subscribe at apple podcasts or wherever you listen to podcasts. Let's. Let's get into Lamar Jackson. I've seen some pretty interesting things coming out of ravens, camp a across my Twitter timeline. Over the last week, I saw this, I think at the end of last week that Lamar Jackson is still having issues throwing the football. Let me let me say that again. Lamar Jackson is still having issues throwing the football. That'd be like, you know, I was gonna listen to middlekauff podcast, but he's having issues talking. He can't talk, you know what I was going to take my wife for anniversary to this restaurant. But the chef was having trouble making food. It's pretty nice. When you say out loud, several of his passes wobbled through the air, I feel like my hand is a little too high on the football. And that makes the ball go out of whack. Now, let me say this all somewhat defend Lamar Jackson. He's working on some stuff, right? He's trying to clean up his mechanics. It's the off-season not that big of a deal now. Ideally, what I want that happening, you know, going into you, too, when I draft them in the first round probably not. But it by no means is the end of the world. But I found this. This a little more interesting. Let me see if I can pull up the tweet here that Lamar Jackson. Okay. Lamar jackson. He didn't know the ravens would be implementing quote a totally different offense and quote. There's some hype on the ravens a lot of people were all in on the mar Jackson. Listen, I'm not I'm rooting for the kid. He seems like a incredibly nice young man. Great guy, high character guy. I root for high character people, whether they're in football, whether they're whatever job you're in, if, if I find out about you, you're a good guy. I just naturally root for you. I think most humans kind of do that when we find out people are bad guys. You know, it's much harder to root for less. They play for team or you know, I don't know. I guess, I don't know how you'd root for a bad guy unless maybe a business he was making you money, unless we're somehow invested but Lamar Jackson. One he's mechanically trying to overhaul his game and two. They have gone all in on this offense trying to build the thing around the more, and I think deep down the more just because he is, you know, competitor in a quarterback kind wishes they can throw the ball little bit more, but don't get it twisted. They're basically going to run the glorified option wing t offense. Here's what Lamar said coming into offseason workouts. I didn't know we would have a totally different office when I got here, coach was like, yeah, we have a totally new system..

What's two percent of fifty cents? You know, not being why don't you bring Hubble bucks in your pocket? I guarantee you they factor that in for the cost of the stuff they sell. Thanks for raising the Cup of coffee. Dan might all you cashless. You are a Wigner. Which I just think oh, hey. I think that if I want to buy something, and I've got money on me. You should take it. Well, I would just say what she said. I mean, when I think way, accounting courses, you know, thirty years ago. Hey, I was told you have cash. In fact, every Bill says this note is legal tender for all public and private but nothing in. There says you have to take it. I was told you had no choice. This is legal tender. You're saying you're denying the legal tender of the United States of America refused to take the Bill. By the way trip. I got a gold card is Starbucks, and my refills are free. Like, you better. Like, you you sound like me. I'm a list preferred on south west, but my wife's just list. I'm preferred, hey, let me ask you this. So the that's an interesting point. I had not thought of like refusing. But I'm not sure that I mean, you could tell that person someplace someplace, for example, won't take hundred dollar bills. I anything over twenty years for counterfeit bills and stuff like that. So they don't want the Monday get robbed. You know? They have that money in there. I think that there are exceptions to for example. I if you wanna pay me with a million pennies for something, I don't have to take that either, you know, legal tender. That's why you need. You didn't have to take them. They knew 'cause they don't want the bad PR. So they're not considered legal tender brain on Tom smart listeners that you wanna hear some funny. There's a guy in Texas. I think his last name as fast, you can look this up in Google it. Because a nickel cost about six cents to make. He he went and got he bought from the US treasury. I wanna say forty million dollars in nickels. Why because it's an investment so Nichols were six cents. So he bought forty million dollars a nickel makes twenty percent from forty million dollars. If it Nick again, it's a twenty my math is right. Yeah. Twenty percent. So it's a great investment. Okay. Yeah. See their years your cash, Tom. Thanks for the call. Even though you're wrong. Roger on with chip Nikki cash. No cash. Oh, I think cash is great. But thing I called about was that. When you go to gas stations the gas costs more when you use a credit card because it costs them to processor fees. And yeah in so cash is cheaper. When you buy gas every everybody likes cash because it's easy to hide from the IRS. That's what we're talking. There is that I hadn't thought of it wrong with that. Right. Well, nothing wrong with that and wrong with that. It's American way you pitch and red Ryder. This is kooky. No. But I mean, again, the IRS gets cheated billions of dollars and believe me, we pay a tear for them. No. It comes back and gets you. I'd look this is your you. Don't you're like like the my dog. They can only think for like five minutes. I understand what you're saying. I understand that. I can take my business. Elsewhere. I just think that if I have money in my pocket, I should be able to buy anything I want and you looking at me and telling me, I can't sucks. Like, no, we should be able to use cash should not have to use some sort of technology. Hard to make a credit card because you have no will power. You can't see forty admitted that no it's easier to overspend. It everybody it's easy. You don't see it happening? Every time they say when you do your Christmas shopping. What did they tell you use cash because it's easy to overspend with the credit talk to you. When I'm talking to you. All right. Tom in Fremont is on my side. He has my back, Tom. No cash, right? No, I.

"And I'm not super important like how on come in the same way that people were uncomfortable talking about mental health, we need to start making you comfortable for people who like themselves to talk about it because it will encourage other people to realize lugging yourself is an ego or delusion it's grounded in self awareness. Here's the thing. You you're superpowers. You don't judge yourself? You're right. That became very clear to me. And I nailed that. And you know, what not judging yourself does. You don't judge other people either? So you end up liking a lot more people. You mother fuckers judging last night spent ninety eight hours consuming judgment. People fucking doing this post-election people judge who the fuck you've no context of what's going on in somebody's bedroom. Or most important in their head. You're right. I don't judge myself because I know what my intent is. I'm obsessed with intent. It's insane. How much I love everybody. Here. If I know there once I once I wrap my head around one's intent it's game over it's like fucking binary. Switch and I'm going to bat for them in perpetuity for me outside of me with me against me. If I think somebody's a good person, and they literally my direct competitor. I weirdly secretly root for them in some weird way. Because if they're better than me they deserve to win. I was so pumped when I was with all his super gills, and Scott Belsky and Crisanto had better investment. Great investing career, they were better. And I love talking about it. I want the world to melt because people be happier. That's really interesting. People are fake environments. Now. Listen this, Tom smart, man. He gets it. He gets up right away. I'm serious people.
