"Thank you. Tom are Jane not just for great interview, but also a fun weekend, getting to know you guys, lots of podcasting talk, and I want to mention my pantheon partner. Peter fair Yolly who joined us. And we even got to catch trays ghost of the force to or stop here in town, as I mentioned in the interview, so hook line and sinker. Okay. That's my last fish joke. The concert would trae was very interesting for me, but not for the material played per se the songs were okay, maybe better than okay? I'm not sure there were songs that will turn into Staples at fichus though. I bet trae polls few out on his various future live solo work now, of course, I could be wrong. Certainly there were a few excellent jams played. And I and I do want to give a big thumbs up to Jennifer. Hart's waken Sali's Henderson, who sounded amazing and added a vocal, heft nut usually found a fish. Concert and kudos to Anastasio for the underlying meaning of the entire concept. The emotional impact was evident throughout it was special but maybe not spectacular. But what struck me leaving the venue, was the fact that eighty five hundred people came to see and hear and entire set of songs, never played before no hits. No covers not a single recognizable. Tune at all. It is an incredible statement of the phantom found in the fish community, and let me tell you it wasn't a polite or expected respect for a Qatar hero to most of the audience of the audience was wrapped throughout the performance. There was palpable. Energy, there was genuine love and appreciation for songs and never heard and for the artists putting out a new statement of work. It was unique experience in my concert going career. All right. One other concept. I want to delve into before we go. Tom was our first official lyricist on the show. He's kind of like Robert Hunter, or John Perry Barlow of the Grateful Dead, or berry, top, and Elton, John, these folks are few and far between individuals lyricists committed to a particular artist or act for a lengthy career. It's an unusual partnership and different than they songwriting team like Goffin and king, or LeBron Stoler. This is far more intimate. You are writing words to music for very particular artists. Therefore, it's more mind meld than just straight songwriting. Tom trae had been added for decades. And I think it's fair to say their collaborations have only gotten better with time. Let's face it a jam bands. Main job is to jam therefore abso-, facto their lyrics are perhaps secondary. I also wanna add that Trey and Tom, come from a dif-. Time than say, hunter Barlow or top, and those three are from the golden age of rock wollen. Everything was still shiny, and new, also the competition required you to step up in the game of thrones or die. And while top and gained immediate success. We all know the dead's road was long strange to the top. But they did make it all of those writers lived in used monoculture universal poetic concepts. Metaphors allegory motifs of say the road expanse love required. It in unrequited fish was always insular ironic absurd. And I'm in no way knocking Tom trae. I'm just pointing out a time shift in cultural examination, which is the griss from which the poet, bakes bread. Right. Perhaps, in sealer, irony and absurdity better fit the times of late stage. Rockin roy. Roll something to consider anyway. Certainly, a reexamination of all, what are assumed are silly lyrics is warranted by critics of the band. Okay. Do going get your fish fry anytime live or recorded and of course, go check out the Cyprus podcasting network for this show for Tom's podcast under the scales, and all the great podcasts over at Cyrus dot com. "That occur. But for the most part, that sort of that's like, the, the general idea and how many official songs are part of game hedge so on trays thesis that he submitted, which was a cassette tape with music that the band fish played at Goddard university, and he submitted a cassette and a pages of lyrics if I'm not mistaken. I think there were nine songs nine official songs that tells the tale of the lizard. Words and the evil overlord Wilson, correct. All right. And to be an official fish fan you have to be at one of these special game hinge nights where they play at least a few songs you wanna hear ACDC bag and you wanna hit the lizards and you'd like to hear McGraw up in the watchful Lajos masters, you wanna hear Colonel forbiddens assent and then that would be a good game tonight. Okay. People, I hope you all wrote that down and prepare. When you go and see fish in the in the in the future. Yes, it's. Its own religion and sloth and Lama. That would be that would be that would be the ultimate spice. Yeah. On the pizza. All right. What, what some to you and Trey the longest finish any of these, like a thirty year from start to verse line to last line songs. That's interesting. I was talking about the longest one earlier bug that, that took you know, hours of our songwriting weekend once but songs that have like being in existence. And then occasionally come out there's like there's, there's funny funny ones. Like there's one called if I could be a sailor, which we wrote a long time ago and had one, particularly sort of nasty verse in it, that then appeared when they played a golf shores, it's like a tiny little strip of Alabama actually touches the golf, and there's a venue there and, and trae wanted a new song new in parentheses air quotes and came out with if I could be a sailor, even though we'd probably written at twenty five years prior. There you go. Okay. There is at least one that, that's the longest I think that. That you guys took to finish, and there's probably more. But that's the one I came up with well, you know, time marches on. I'm sure in the future that will be like oh yeah. Well, now there's a forty years out there, so okay. I'm going to begin to switch some subjects a little bit. But I, I have to ask I understand Billy Joel hates fish in that you're responsible for that. That's, that's completely part of the rumor that's absolutely untrue. Go on none of it is true. So. I think it was like friendly rivalry of over banners in Madison Square Garden is how even it, you know. Started even though it never really happened in never really nothing ever happened between the two bands or between fish and Billy Joel. But I remember tweeting one something like. That fish played four songs in a row all originals no covers and no repeats. And something like put that bread in your jar, piano, man, kind of just like, you know, friendly taunt, and then some guy online, people are wondering what is what is fish or what is Tom have against what is fish have against Billy Joel kinda. And, and then that laid the table for a person to create that rumor that he heard Billy Joel say that they're just nothing but a glorified cover band, which is not true. He never said it a guy made that up. And then it kind of went from there. And yeah, but they did have sort of like a little mini banner war where, you know, Billy Joel claim to have played. He definitely has played more times at MSG than fish, but more times in a row like he he's loose with the term consecutive. Oh, yes. Yeah. The bankers does doesn't well, yeah. Thirteen shows in a row. It's landed and not a single song, repeat fish fishes setup remained on stage for those for all of those shows, even though there were a few days off, that to me, nothing else happened at the garden in between so you can call that consecutive whereas Billy Joel's consecutive, I think, and this is again, me talking a little bit out of out of my ask, because I don't really know this, but I think he, he was kind of loosely, you know, there'd be a ranger's game, and then there'd be something else. And then he'd play. And he call that two in a row, which to me, I don't know. I don't know anyway. So that's like. The Billy Joel hates fish. Rumor is really just started by Russian troll. The internet research agency. When they're bored in between stealing elections. I'm sure well, I just interviewed Mike for my podcast under the scale, Gordon Mike, Gordon, and he met an knows Billy Joel. And that never came up and he's the nicest guy ever. And we can assume that if there was a problem that they wouldn't have had such a wonderful conversation in friendly conversation. I that I am. Sure. I'm sure okay. So you're not just a Lear assist, but you're also businessman. The, the first business I wanted to Scott because it's so relevant to us is the podcast network. But I, I want to bring in your partner here to talk a little bit about it B. So hold on one second. Let's, let's bring RJ in talk a little bit about a Cyrus. Let's bring in the dude. RJ be welcome to deeper digs in rock here with your business partner. Tom Marshall, thank you so much, Reva mayhem, big admire of the show. Thank you. Thank you very much for saying that. So I asked Tom, you know, we we spent the last hour talking about his involvement in this rock band. What were they calling in fish, visit Duffy's? Yeah. Yeah. I was calling him fish the whole. No, it's not. Eight. Anyway. But Tom is also involved in a couple of other things of one of which is, is podcasting since this is a podcast and we wanted to talk a little bit about. You guys starting this Asya network. So my first question would be how did that come about? Well, it is, it's a fascinating story. I think so we'll, we'll see if you agree Christian, but Tom and I met a few years ago through a mutual friend. Tom told me that he was thinking about doing a podcast and asked me if I thought he should do podcasts than I immediately said. Yes, of course, you should cause people. Listen to it. And then we started talking almost right away about Brees or ready had a fish oriented pocket. Yes. Yep. And now I can let you gloss over. That's the part that he glosses over, because he's very humble, but ordinary people or narrowly someone who has the only at the time or or the best. Listen to fish podcast might not encourage the band's layer assists to start one which would. He. Yeah. And so sort of surprised and happily surprised by that which is why when later we decided to possibly work together and expand our our, you know, our, our family of podcast, so to speak, which, you know, counting are to. We knew another five or six people, I was absolutely wanting to work with our giant. So it was it was a well, it was a well put together plan. Well, okay. So RJ you have this podcast. Tom has expressed an interest in a starting to podcast and mutual friend had told you this, right? Okay. So they set you up, you get the call. What's it like here in, you know the lyrics for fish talking to you fish expert? For the first time it actually, you'd be very surprised to learn that we actually met in the parking lot of a fish concert. So that's that was our first conversation. It was great. And actually, I gave Tom a sticker of my podcast, helping friendly podcast. And I figured that, you know, Tom being the lyricist official gets stuff from fans all the time that he would put his pocket, and then find it a couple years later, but he immediately took the back off the sticker and put it on his car. And I was like, sure you want to do that. And I think it's still on your car, really those commitment right away. Exactly. No. We didn't we we hit it off and it hit it off and immediately started emailing back and forth. And, and we had both expressed the same idea, which is what can we do to bring more people together and bring more podcast together really to serve, you know, music fans and that's where that's where it started. So you start with the two podcasts under the scales in helping friendly podcast. Right. And now you have is it isn't about thirty shows on on. Yes. I think by the time this comes out, it will be. Thirty. Exactly. Because we have one coming out just a couple of days. But yeah, the, the started with, I think, ten officially and a lot of them almost all of them that we have had existed before Cyrus. So you know they were friends who had been doing similar podcasts. And then we reached out to a few few reach out to us, and yet we sort of have built it organically and helped several people start podcast which has been which has been fun. And then, you know, when we met you guys these, these podcasts deeper digs in to allergy to me, are, you know, the next sort of logical step getting beyond our jam band, kinda route because most most of the show so far are, are centered around this unique community of like minded people, and in some activities that surround yet like oh, hey, today's four twenty so I think you have a we'd show and I think you have a brew. Kind of pump cash. Exactly. So it's not just music. It's also some of the, the culture that surrounds it as well. And now as, as we know d- prediction rock and rock, Marquis, all Aji are shared on the network as well. So you're moving into say classic rock would be the next step. Yeah, exactly. And I think there's a lot of crossover. A lot of our fans of jam bands also classic rock, of course. But there's also just there's a great kind of community around rock as there is around jam bands. And so many others honors it's we're excited to, to continue to build it and see what other, you know, passionate fans, we conserve with great, great content. Okay. So post, if you known now as a podcasting thought leaders, how do you like that? Oh, wow. Where where do you see the future podcast going right now? Well, it's, it's interesting, there's like kind of competing viewpoints because of the, the launch, I think, in just a couple of days of something called luminary, which is gonna be all original podcasts put behind a paywall of, I think eight dollars a month. Those folks have been given about one hundred million dollars to start a company without any. Proof of concept. It's just. Yeah. Go and do it. So talent real insider's. I would assume then just driven by big names, and they're going to have to build a user base from scratch, and, you know, hope that they're big names carry them forward. But then I think we'd all agree. We're still in the infancy of this, this new communication form, which I. You know. Well here, all ask you, I mean, do you think this will replace radio as we know it? It's more convenient radio because, you know, in the old days you had to sit and wait for your, your show to come on. And you only had that period, whether it was on, and then you can listen to it anymore geographically limited. Geographically. Right. So now you're geographically unlimited and also limited by time. Yeah. Yeah. Cool on demand. Say also this. The topics are so focused, you can find a podcast, literally about anything at almost any level of depth of detail. Right. Right, right. And I think about it like how TV changed from. You had to like Tom subscribing with radio to sit there and wait for the Cosby show to come on, or whatever on Thursday nights at eight. I think is what when I was a kid. I don't know if that's the best example, bring up. Sure, I get your point. Sorry Bundy our. So much better Show TV on demand. Of course. And what comes out of it is, these different more fractured companies that are providing TV content to people in different ways. And you can get them whenever you want wherever you want. I think podcasting is probably going to go that way. But the pay wall thing is sort of a, you know, that's a big debate because podcasting being free has always been free always been like a big part of it. And I don't know if that's an intellectual thing that we're going to have to get over. And just like, you know, get over our selves for doing such a cool service to, to the community or whatever, but that is that is one direction. And then there's this other, that's kind of like the net flicks sort of concept. Yeah. Ninety nine a month. I think. Seven ninety nine is what they're asking for at this point with a limited number of shows. Yeah. You know, it's an interesting concept. I mean, it's proven to work in the first movie now movie television side of things with net flicks. You know, I mean if it's if it's a little bit more like radio than traditional advertising seems to be a little bit more of the, the, the common experience. I mean, you, you already have a, you know, a culture society that is trained to expect advertisements, you know, in, in content that they are getting for free..

"Well guest in the singular that is until we drag someone else into the conversation with me today is none other than fish lyricist. And friend of ours show, Tom Marshall, now, many of you diggers may not be significant fish fans. That's spelled with peas just so you know, they certainly are an acquired taste, as well as an inside joke, and even requires a fervent passion to truly get them. I might add, you have to see them lie before you can get down to listening to the recorded songs with any significant understanding. It's a thing it is known, but along with friend of the show, Steven Hyden. We feel fish may in fact, be the future of Qatar driven classic rock and roll. Of course, not just fish, but let's face it the genre. They helped spawn the jam band scene is very much alive and kicking. Whereas numerous other rock and roll genres are well three day old fish. So Tom grew up with Trey Anastasio in Princeton, New Jersey until early high school when train his family moved to Connecticut, but Tom kept in touch with trae and even penned lyrics to leave on trays answering machine do I need to explain what that was Google. If you have to Marshall wrote the original lyrics to the game hinge song, McGraw up and the watchful hose masters and nailed them to Anastasios front door. Very Martin Luther there. Thome. By nineteen eighty five Trey and Tom had parted ways as trade and stuff, you'll became more involved with fish at the university of her Mont and Goddard college. Where trae use the game hinge, aka, the man who stepped into yesterday concept as his senior thesis in one thousand nine hundred nine the band released their first full album, junta. Okay. Respects to nineteen Eighty-six, the white tapes. Yes, there is a whole lot of this in fish history..

The he is is the key for Montreal. You know that they're going to have to score a goal in this game. I kind of mentioned nil nil. And how it would be this famous result. Well, I don't think there's any chance of that happening. So do we see these best here? He's turned down America. He said no to them before. I went to the impact he needs to shine as he did in the first. Twenty thirty minutes of the game in sticker, if he doesn't then I don't think when all has anything or any chance to create anything specifically ICO doors running with the ball and not really building up yeti needs the needs to hold the ball with. We're talking with Simon the last week bef- after the game that he needs to be able to hold a bull more and just not just give it away. I understand that. He was very tired that the altitude in sticker was was a lot for him. But here's a he's at home. He's the player the spotlight's on him. He has a chance to become the first player ever in history to win two continental championships in less than a year, which in at least in this continent, which is tremendous and he has a chance he's he has a great opportunity to go to the club World Cup, which he wasn't able to answer. So I think I mean, it's his chance to as well to shine as well as John Smith or whoever or starts opportunity of a lifetime for there's. No doubt. I'm pretty sure. Even though he's going to be. Maybe. So maybe we'll extension from the pope could he behind the macho impact they need all the help. They can get you know, the game time eight pm on Wednesday watch that thing let us know what you think we'll be back on Thursday to discuss all of it. That's it. Let's move onto the mailbag. "Com. Ali we'll see tonight, man. Thanks for your time. Thank you. Thanks to via Tremblay for joining us here to talk about the impact on Marshall coming up in just a second club, America. But it's the goalkeeper guys. Do you go with John Smith's? What can you do in this situation? Given the choice. You're you're all in with John Smith to me. I think it's been what's it done to a psyche to hear all the speculation. Probably not. It's not good. I don't know his mental makeup. Some people was his motivator gets gets them revved up. I just don't know that it's a that west. I want to be doing to your goalkeeper acting. There's no sense of certainty. Yeah. You need to go with him. I mean, if he at least has been training with the group, he knows the players probably the chemistry's that great bushes. But you know, he's part of the team. He's part of the whole build up and he needs to Shang. If you build your roster now you've got to live with it. You mentioned it Chromebook signer chrome Rober cup-tied that is a tough one. It's really rearing its head right now. Of course, Medica got some questions of their own Tom Marshall here to help us answer them, Tom. How's it going man going good? Thanks, inviting me on glad to have you. Here. We need that expert on that side. We watched the classic oh this weekend. There was obviously more at stake for Medica than just the Seattle this week. They get a draw with us USA. What what do you take from this game? That now applies forward to the final on Wednesday. It was a strange game come America. I mean, really I was shocked the way the way the game when I mean really expected to make its kind of dominate possession. Stubble motto sin is in his press conference. After basically said, you know, sometimes you have to change you have to change a philosophy depending on your players. So I think that the main taken Tim's of look into Wednesday's the he will did of the finally mind despite this being you know, the biggest game in Mexico. I mean that was I think that that shows just exactly how much the contemptuously find those main to D'amoto surround on club, America's as an institution over goal scorer from leg. One of our Peralta. He did not play in this match. What does that say to you? Does that say that they're resting him completely for the second leg or say that there are lingering injury problems that that may yet make him a question? Mark game startling peak is gonna play. I mean metro said afterwards. The in the first leg of the finally was play. Leading more with his heart than he's Phyo condition. So I think that delta will will start. I mean showing we saw the difference in the first leg of the final half time out the Cayman at his thing..

"Did we I agree? I agree that the club America favorite as well. But it's interesting that they're on the road. Second like, they're already down in the result based on a way goals, and we're still considering them. But I would say that those they have all those games as you mentioned in their legs still favorite. Yeah. But it's the legs that you're looking at you got the legs of content. Oh and put out in some ways. I mean, the whole thing on and on and on and on. Let's let's be real before we get Dali trimmed by let's get our thoughts on the table. Will they do it will they do this thing? Because like I said, that's all the matters. It's all the matters. How they do it in what manner maybe come out and lay down eleven guys in front of the goal and create just a wall in front of the thing. Like, that's what matters. There's two sides for me when I look at this the Rusalka romantic in me says they have the the magic in this tournament and don't go. The team that has the magic we see it another sports as well. Team of destiny, whatever you call it on the other side. I have the MLS. Fatalism embedded in me ingrained in me, where it's like it's never gonna go the way of MLS and we've seen it over the years. You know, I I'm less confident now than I was with Ralph salt lick against Monterrey back in twenty eleven. I was so confident that that was set up perfectly for them. They couldn't do it. How's Montreal going to do it? So I if I'm on the fence, I'm going down to the to the negative side. Love america. Does it quickly to tonight as well? One of Montreal's course, I I think they can pull it off. But if they don't I don't think it's gonna happen. Because many clearly the better side the better side. Montreal fans are going hit Simon. They're going to hit me as well. But I feel like one traumas in really great chances or doesn't really play in order to get a result. And I mean, they don't have to outscore the other team. They don't have to play better than the other team that you have to be effective and they have to win. Which is what the I think if you give up two goals it's game over because we're not gonna score to even that thing up and the two will be away goals and that'll be hard to overcome. You know, what though I'm gonna curry some favor up in up in Montreal. I think somehow, someway, they do it. I don't know why don't know how I have no idea. I just I picked against him in the first leg, and I was wrong. I know they have goalkeeper issues. We'll get to those with Livia right now who will play there. That's a big question, Mark. But you know, what? For some reason, I'm just gonna fly that way. Let's welcome on. Now. Let me turn our man in Montreal. He's been on the ground. But this since day one what's up, man? I'm good. How are you? Very good. We mentioned it. You're the man on the ground. You're the expert. You were there this morning. We finally heard from Concha calf on Evan Bush. He will not play. He is suspended that will not happen for them. That's a pretty big blow. Walk us through the reaction in training. What options do they have now? Yeah. Well, it was expected the rule of of contract Champions League. Simply don't allow for an appeal on a point of on line of sight that is related to play..

"One in Canada MLS soccer dot com, as I mentioned we're piling in van we're headed north Diego. Penzone. And I we will be both on that trips. I'm bored. Staying here. You know? I don't know somebody's gotta hold down the fort Simon Putin. Maybe not your thing. How excited are you that we kind of want to turn the Montreal fans against me? So yeah fan you want much. I'm waiting for the something into that. Turn. I love US L. I love Montreal. Wow. Wow. That's the thing. That's the first time. We've ever heard L where even Simon here on this podcast is daughters even been on. We haven't heard the word. Look, we have Tom Marshall for me as PFC coming up here in just a bit as well as all Tremblay our own Ali, trim play of unless dot com both of them experts in their own field. On the impact and Tom on league, max and club America. He will give us the rundown on the opponents, but let's get into our thoughts. Can they do it, man? That's the thing that matters here. Right. It's one one they got to get a result of some sort one one with sin. This thing to extra time and PK's. Of course, the wro- goal of big thing from entre El if they happen to get a scoreless draw that would maybe the best scoreless draw the history of scoreless draws ISM less concerned. They would win it would be the first team to take this so Simon what do they have to do ingratiate yourself to the fine. Folks of Quebec what do they have to do? I mean is this formula is very simple don't go down in this game. Because if they go down, then I think it gets daunting for a team like Montreal not that it's all it'll be done in dusted at that point. But they just wanna keep it nil nil and possibly go ahead in in the match if they give up the first goal, I can see just mentally the game changing the cycle. Just the whole pressure shift and club America. I think are gonna come into this game confidence. If they get a goal, and they can defend the goal. I think that's that's bad spot to be. I totally agree with Simon. I think what Montreal needs to do to just hold very well the game as they did in the first leg until the eighty ninth minute, but they need to try to score. I and do it in immediately. When the game starts because that will put pressure in America. Because are they cleared who are the Clinton the clear favorites, and that's gonna allow them to break through? There are very tire. They have played a huge number of games. Montreal hasn't. They're going to play in turf, which are not used to that will change the dynamic of the game. But if Montreal allows the goal in the first have even in the first twenty minutes, I think he just goes down because America last game. He had they had twenty. They could've put it in Corsica one. She was quite O'Hara and couldn't quote America this week. Meanwhile, the mantra impact off really helped set the table for them to be ready. For these games as an interesting with Ugo said that club, America, our favorite. Although mantra I'll have to we didn't really go for them. We didn't we didn't even really react to that..

"But it just hasn't been there hasn't and we talked about on the show. I think David actually said it did Orlando city sell their souls to the devil in hemorrhage themselves for getting drawn the first game. I know that's BS. But it kind of feels that way at home. They just can't catch a break they can break, but they're also not creating enough how many chances that they create and but the only one the only guy who's creating chances and he's not creating a lot. So that's a huge problem when he actually creates chances. He doesn't have anyone to put the ball inside. I think statistically, though, the numbers will show that he is up there in terms of create. But to me, that's that's fine that the stats say that. But I think on the field we can tell what kind of impact he's having. He's not to me influencing matches. You'd imagine a guy like cacao would. But again who is therefore what when they don't have an in the attack. They just don't have clear ideas. What they're what they're doing the beginning of the year. It was just a bunch of won two's trying to make their way past their way into the box. Now now, they have Laron starting and he didn't really who's nineteen years old right much. Uconn. Soccer Roach is also going to be working Chris. So martin. In the worst way you saw the team with the forward came up with with the result does the door. Look, it's bills tremendous in those. That's a good sign for trying to see fans. There was some worry here. They had that eight-game stretch to start the season where they won't have any home games. There was some worry that they weren't picking up enough points to really make those future home games matter. What to see once they get in the remodeled well on mobile, six points from six road games. Most tell you a point on the road for every game is great. And I'll when my home games. But that's what they were saying if they didn't get the three here that that scenario looks an awful lot different anything from red Boselli galaxy Seattle Portland Bradford Jamieson. I mean he was standing that goal. His court. That's a pro. And he's what nineteen eighteen eighteen years old. Yeah, he's a he's a player. That's he could pretty much rival Jesse star this for the spot as well. Even though if he doesn't then you can tell the depth that team has because I'm sure we'll come back James is going to be on the bench or he's going to be the those those. But but. Guys impressive and he's very young Sar. This extremely young as well this these guys are working their way through and they're learning from the best players molest funeral from Simon Borg. I think this is the beginning of what will see from the US partnership as blooded themselves and end up doing well and MLS still along to go for Bradford Jamieson one thing from the broadcast. You might have noticed Adrian. He said look that was his first professional goal. It wasn't his first he scored six in US last season for low. So he's coming up, but that was a beautiful always defender of US L, Andrew Stiller one bigger US L fan. No years from now, I'll be the one gloating every single time. I mentioned yourself pro. It'll be Simon board. The doubter said this without her. I just like to stick to my first division stuff. I really straight up. Hey,.

"And polling for each other really makes a difference in the cap league with all the travel all the time you spend together the one season, the different climates, you're gonna hit you've got to actually like the guys around you. And you saw in this game. How excited they were each other four different goalscorers Scotty Caldwell getting his first goal Kamara and that other game for Columbus. He's got a chance. I think to be there for the golden boot this year five goals already. He sees a ton of chances. It just comes down to finishing. Let's move on to Houston sporting KC. This was the wild one four four ends up. Sporting KC gets the winner from Vinnie foul harbor laser beam. I mean, this is this is about as well as you can hit a ball who how do they walk away from this one is quote walking away, cursing himself for having this happen at home sporting KC saying they weren't happy after this result either. Neither team has think they played particularly. Well, I think sporting KC comes up. Happiest because they were down four three against ten men Houston there were three one at a point when they and I it's standing the way they just came back in this game. I was apartment haunting. So I'm going to be very proud of me because I was hunting. I I wasn't watching you in queens. Only apartment hunting in queens. Now, I wasn't what's Chester actually. But you're going to be probably because I actually turn my cell phone on us. I was apartment hunting to watch the games because of all the notifications. I was getting so I wasn't. I wasn't going to watch the game on Saturday because I was off on apartment hunting as well. But but yet going back to his game, the waste came back was impressive for me. I think they they just didn't you know, just gave all the same thing about the chemistry. We're talking about New England. You can see the team gelling together. You can see the team trying to get back into the form that we once knew about Kansas City. And I think you know, it could be. Be like a starting point for them. Davis for me is stand out thought he had a really good game. And I don't know that I saw him really lift the team in past matches. So that's that's a good point to highlight for Houston, which continues to play. Well, what's been three weeks in a row that Houston has gotten good results played? Okay. So they're on their way. They didn't have a great start the similar New England. Not a great start. But they're coming to you got to find it. Sometimes seems a lot of teams are United are two one winners on the road in Vancouver. And now's the time where I take me a Koba because I'm getting abused on Twitter extratime radio tag, getting abused on Twitter. I may have used the word fortunate. I may have used the word lucky to describe DC United in their results over the last year and a half or so fine fine. Henry Thomas, they're legit. They're very very good. I will admit it. They got five spend a little back. What's making change your mind? The performances. I just kept thinking like they kind of looked out in this one. The other team didn't handle it. You know, they grinded this one out. It wasn't that good. But you grind. Enough games out that all of a sudden, maybe that's not maybe that's not an outlier maybe that's a trend. Maybe that's just the way you get results. And I don't know that they necessarily only grinded this game out. I mean, they have quality Ralph. I mean, he's starting to find himself again after some long term injuries that he had. And I just think spend the changes the game. It's easier to it's easier to grind games out when you have quality that can decide matches and they have that up top. I just I think our observation here on this table is that do they create enough soccer? And they don't when you compare it. I know I know you can say they don't. But then they're still at the top of the east. They still finished the top of the east last year. Like, we keep saying, and they keep ending up in a place that says who cares if we don't create that much soccer possessions at the end we finish our chances their affective..
