"Yet, we're not the same thing as sold and then the sort of like things. In their favor, a little bit, and they kind of level, the playing field in the sort of the numbers versus xbox three sixty, and they started saying sell through rates, and if you look at this generation Microsoft hasn't given us anything anything. Nobody likes straight up knows how many consoles. Microsoft has sold and that's kind of a bummer. Because people are just, you can only piece together hearsay and speculation and Teno since they've been doing really well has been really upfront about what's what selling them. What isn't and in the meantime like the closest thing you can? Can Do is just look in in the e shop and look at the charts and be like okay. This this gives me an idea of what's is performing best digitally, and so when I saw the the the spongebob reviews coming in, and they weren't that great and I opened up the shop, and it was like for like a week, and a half straight was the number two or three game on there. I'm like with this is this is all telling a different story than just getting physical numbers once a month in our in our email, you know. And I know more about a sales numbers for each shop and stuff next week but I did want to move onto games out this week. Here is there is something that we need to touch on really quickly before you gone Casey and that's the Brian, just told that story about trading in his xbox, one X or trading his ex wife for an Xbox, one x and committing a crime, unfortunately, that defies the ten year law that we talked about earlier, so the cops are on their way to Brian's house. Actually there is a loophole there because a game. Stop in San. Francisco no longer exists and so neither does the crime. y'All third. There's no. This can't be any crime. Exactly. All all the all the records were banished. Now, if a new reggie might have them them, maybe reg. Oh man for some reason. Reggie has Brian's xbox receiver absolutely. Reginald. Guys committed fraud against game. I assume he's he's got retired. He's got time to do it. I'm not saying nothing. Okay I don't. I, don't WanNa. Get arrested, but if if the guy pulls up is fees. I'm going to be like Bob. Man All right. Let's get an squad car. This is great. Talk about my crabs. Let's talk about games out this week that you may or may not by a game stop, but you probably won't because you're probably by digital, because no one wants to go outside including. And thank you. Tom Marks for providing me this list. I appreciate it so real. Quick two of them. Yes, your grace comes out on the twenty. Six Twenty Bucks technically came out I know it's secondly last week we did talk about it, and it's it is a fun at Kingdom ruling game where you are a King Holding Court as you make decisions for your kingdom, it's extremely popular on steam. Think Tom and then also bipeds out on the second for fifteen dollars, which is a fun Little Cup action adventure game about robots, each stick controllers. Each stick controls one of the legs of your robot. and. So, Cute Games. Thank you Tom Tom. Recommendations but I also wanted to ask Oj and I know Zach. You mentioned this game before as well. The Legend of heroes trails of cold steel three hours on the thirtieth for six dollars without now it's the newest in a very well loved turn Jeremy PD series, and there's nearly nine hundred universally positive reviews on steam where it launched our arch so I played the demo when it came out on the switch a few months ago and Oj. No, you did as well and it prompted you to buy the collector's edition. And I'm under the impression that we had two different opinions about this game, so let me I want to go first. Sir, no, no, no problem, the game and by the way I can understand like. Some people might not like this style of game. It is very. It's pretty complex. There is a lot of stuff into games a lot of different characters that you can use a lot of different options that you can have a lot of variety that you can do with your characters in this. And I was never a fan of the series. Really before and I had just seen it. You know just seeing. Seeing people talk about it and people discussed the game bowel calm and some of the situations that have switched early on vans getting mad that they're on there. So that's why I decided to kind of research, the a little bit more, and after playing the devil I was like. Wow, this has a lot of variety within the combat and I played the Japanese stem so again, even know what was going on. What was going on? I just played through it and I had a lot of fun I. It was really cool, which prompted need to? As soon as they said that I can get on Amazon I picked it up and should be at my door at some point today or Know Wednesday. J I played it in English and I still didn't know what was going on. So I like more complicated RPG systems. I think it's cool. I like customizing strategy I think the Gameplay was really smart and interesting, but the demo drops. you in doesn't explain anything at all literally nothing. You can't even go into a manuals like read about the game systems in the demo. It just kind of like throws you in and doesn't tell you anything about it. There's notorial. It doesn't introduce you to woo. The characters are so. It made me think like Oh like I need to play the second one to understand. What is happening? Really? It's more based a story wise. That's kind of the thing, but yeah, it is a continuation. There is a in the for people that are interested.

"What's up everybody? Welcome ties you and game. Few team at Hadfield joining me. This week is Tina Amini deposes back. It's back does scoops. Johnson Davis Scoop and SAM clayborn. What's on your Hatfield today? I'm starting to the campaign The Game I was gushing about last week or not tunnel castle has been removed from the Nintendo e shop on switch even though it did nothing wrong. It's an amazing game needs to come back Switch so I'm starting the campaign. Eternal Castle did nothing wrong. Didn't show a bunch of blood or something like pixellated blood. It wouldn't I don't even think would have been red. Blood is pixellated I don't understand what that means but we do have a great show for you today. Lots to talk about lots of really fun. let's emails to get through. But I Tina. I know you've been working a lot on summer of gaming. Brigham and now Our schedules out in public. That everyone's gotten a chance to take a look schedule. It's all kicking off next week teen. Is there anything you want to like? Highlights or like make sure people are aware of when when when do people need to start tuning into our coverage? Absolutely I mean yeah next week June fourth but you know full disclosure. We reserve the right to move things around as necessary. I think a lot of people are you know making announcements and catching up with their own assets and their own team figuring out work from home scenarios. So it's important to for us to stay nimble. Which is what we've been doing as we've been planning this whole thing and making lots of shifts and turns but as far as highlights First and foremost is the first time that I actually putting on a press conference of our own and not just that. But we're putting on three press conferences. We're calling them. Aegean Expo That's gene fifth. June eighth June ninth. So it's all exclusive content. Some of it is actual game reveals Some of it is the developer interviews along game. Play that you're familiar seeing from us during normal three during normal June time frame but I think the other big thing to know is it's kind of impossible for us to be like completely transparent about everything that we're working on because we're still working on it so there's lots of other to come so it's as full schedule as we could get ready for. Public is just to give people an idea of what's to come in the show and get excited about things that they're personally looking forward to But lots of big updates like from blizzard and xbox and a lot of those a big people that you like seen games from had something here that I thought was really cool about this E-3 Is not just about the big press conferences. When you got three you discover games. You see a bunch of cool stuff on the floor. And that's the stuff that I feel like. We have the unique obligation to show people like. Yes you guys are. GonNa be able to see these big conferences. Were carrying them. We're going to be awesome stuff on those and those games are gonNA cover too. But I don't think there's anybody else that has the stuff that we released at Over the past couple of days are schedule has a something for everybody. It has games That only this people that like this show will like games that people that I would never play for everybody. And that's how he three should be seriously like there's a lot of people out there that are going to be. You know a watching these big stream streams this summer but like check out what we have. We have cool stuff to show a lot of lot of NEAT nexgen games. You've never seen before on that note. I can t something for the Games that we haven't talked about publicly yet Which is yeah. We're trying to be as inclusive as possible if you like. Vr Games we'll be VR games con content. There like any games will be plenty of indie games as well And we're creating a new segment around our dear friend Tom Marks where he'll be highlighting You know hidden gems essentially That you might not otherwise have been able to see if you were just paying attention to a big conference and that is a big part of like us being able to go to these events discovering games that are harder to Come above the fold of the big squaring drops and the big Sony drops. So it's going to be like his segment that he's creating on his own And hopefully identifying some some cooler lesser known games up post. He really is. I mean you know. Bow Ties and pies aside. He's still the very best even beyond that.

It's Been a Super Busy Week for the Switch

"Welcome to Nintendo voice chat My name is Tom Marks temporary host again this week joining me today is Mr Brennan Graber Hey what's up and Mr Jonathan Dornbush hey just give us a minute all right yeah give it some time let will grow on you this episode four seventy nine it's kind of weird week this week because there's much going on we're getting into the busy fall season so a pair isn't here. Brian is busy with a preview Casey just got back from Japan shoes at Nintendo Live Zach is in La Janet is in Seattle it's just like everyone is when we wish him well there but yeah a busy busy week so I got some good good friends we're going to be we've got a good show for you still we're GONNA be talking about some recent news older there's not a ton this week we're also talking about a would there has been attend this week is review news so we're GONNA be talking about recent reviews for switch or the biggest ones of this week sorry Jonathan did you have a point to make up oh thumbs up even a thumbs up domino is off to a great start already got a busy week for releases there's a lot coming out so be sure to stick around we just got a lot of great stuff talk about this laid back episode and for the first thing we want to talk about let's talk to start jumping in with with news because there's there's not a ton but there are some cool things to discuss here the first being I feel like it's become a weekly tradition on this show Tuesday hey there's new pokemon stuff were in that cycle where there unreleased things every week they're really getting people going hype and people up by adding just need a little bits and pieces this week we got fat peak itchy Cha end long mouth hand along we also got a weird flaming charred I think somebody pointed out this is the fourth alternate a fourth version because there's the charred mega ex mega y and then now this guy which is gigantic Max journalists more than Lynn and farm heroes game your summer chart here's a winter charges charter just having like an identity crisis trying to figure out like who's the true Char's are I think people I just really like buying Char's dragon yeah people like charter charter school so these gigantic tax forms which basically means if certain pokemon that dynamex which means getting really big if you have a and this is the weird thing a specific po come on that can gigantic Max will show up with a different look to the so pika chew if you have data and this is the kind of interesting to me if you have data from let's go Pika Chew you can transfer that and get a p get you bet gigantic Max's into this very fat Pika Chew reminiscent of its first Iteration Husky boy yeah like pokemon yellow box art yeah yeah exactly similarly if you have data from let's go easy you get this very flu fee ev that gigantic taxes lucky boy yeah there's also chart I don't think they mentioned how you get that charge hard if you have let's go with the mouth is not exactly like a preorder bonus it's like if you play at the beginning of the game klay early you get this meow that will turn into basically long we had like mystery gifts that they would send out a mail and so it's probably me some of them like hey tune in for the next two months to get your you know crazy haunts the forearms right answers Cuban who's always not depressed finally happy happy it would be the saddest thing to skulls the other thing they showed was butter free that just kind of look like it had bigger prettier wings so it'll be interesting to see I like that they're doing ask that they're shaking up the the Dinah maxing tickets flavor yeah nice yeah it's not just we took the model and we stretched a right it was my worry when they showed that something like it's just GonNa look weird doing fun stuff with it especially when you're introducing a new thing that all of the previous pokemon generation and have added bells and whistles and tried to shake things up especially recently when it comes to battles but there can always be a little bit of trepidation so I think giving this nice visual incentive to for yeah to get something different out of it I like a lot I don't necessarily think it's going to convince any of the people who were not convinced by dynamex her show but it it at least is a nice little added touch it's interesting to see this this thing where it's like only specific only this mouth can do this only this Pika chew that is from the let's go peek data can do this not just any Piquiachu that's an interesting little mechanic that they're adding in the other thing I wanted to call out is our very own Janika who's away right now did a hands on preview gone up as a Thursday morning when we posted this show she got to play the first ninety minutes of Sword Shield and did a big old hands on on so go check out I G M dot com to read her thoughts on on her time with game after having spent some actually significant time with because we have played at three but it was just real brief of a gym yeah it was simple and so she she got some genuine time from what I hear is a major player in this game yeah as blue should be but yeah I talked to Janet a bit too not to like speak on her behalf please go check out our preview but yeah as she was telling me about what she saw she seemed pretty positive on like the things it's maintaining but also trying to off the formula right she caught it I think she called it like their most ambitious game in the series which is cool here adding digital we'll do that go straight to I'm telling you early in the first five minutes I will roll you out of here on that very easy on this floor it really is it's very slippy you guys don't see this but we fight a battle every moment on this show now just not slipping away from that so yeah go check out our program on previous preview on Dot com right now another of news that dropped that I was really interested to see God people more excited than I was expecting manufacturable analog who are known for making these super not which is a system that hardware emulates so that you can play Super Nintendo Games on it it's not essentially it mimics a super nintendo oh to play Super Nintendo games properly but you still need the game right you still need the games they're very against emulating games they WANNA make hardware that will run those games they just announced something called the analog pocket which is looks like a fancy little gameboy pretty much and it will play Gameboy Games game boy color games and homeboy advanced games and you again you need the cartridges this is actually playing these things but it'll play these systems or these games just out of the gate you just plug in the Trajan works except it has three point five inch LCD screen that's sixteen hundred by fourteen forty resolution and the whole thing is to hun everydollar what excited I do have a an sp on my desk that cannot hold a charge for battery I lost the chargers it and I really WanNa play one of the Games but I can't so this is like ooh this could be a workaround that will be nice the one thing I'm kind of like if the design it's making that that original gameboy look but it's a lot more sleeker but I would have almost wanted a an SP version or an advanced version words or horizontal vertical right I mean DSP is the undisputed best game boy so I my gameboy advance S. P. it's one of my great childhood tragedies that I had to throw it out at some point in a move yeah I like the design of how sleek it is but I don't know if I will buy it for two hundred dollars mostly because like my gameboy advance S. P. I don't have any of my gameboy library anymore right and that's like the big sticking point for me is like if these games are more easily accessible in a legal way to buy and obviously you know a lot of game stops and other stores have older libraries but man I would play so many of my old games like I spent so much time on my gameboy advance foundational to my love of games but this is a really cool tool for collectors or people held onto all these things to play these games easily on a piece of tack that's not you know decades old at this time and the really nice for yeah so this is another the thing is this is coming in two thousand twenty some time and it's going to have a separate thing that you can buy also that is a doc like the switch where you can plug your gameboy game into the analog pocket and then you plug the analog pocket into a doc and you can connect a bluetooth controller to that and then play your game boy color or Gameboy advance or gameboy games on a t we like a switch basically it's much more elegantly than the Gamecube gameboy adapter young into the bottom of the system. So funny I still have one of those I I had service yeah so goofy yes so that's it I mean I don't know if I'd ever want to play a game boy game on a four K. TV but it's cool that they're just taking that extremely accessible to do yeah yeah I think like ten game boy games on me so the price point is an issue boy also have pairs giant Goodie bag true game boy games steel for oil there's just get a bag of game boy games in a pile and like picking one out it's like oh wow castle or like oh well beauty and the beast for gameboy color copies of Sri Castle the castle real I didn't know this was a thing way back yeah oh teddy release system the Gameboy back the analog pocket you can check it out for yourself we've got more details on Jan well it's very it's very cool I just like elected they're doing this I I really appreciate analog doing stuff even if the price point is our above the range that I would be paying WanNa pay for it it's a it's still going to be really nice thing for the people who do go after that and can't afford it price point like I understand it especially for the people who probably do have collections and are like willing to shell out because of how useful and modern of piece of equipment this is moving on there's a couple of other things sonic is coming to super monkey ball banana blitz hd this is the master of the we

"Or you know, if there's some kind of crazy bridge-builder game that is the hottest thing in the world. Tom might host can get over in the hot seat, but his favorite jar is the only thing that he plays. Yes. These things happen. But that's in Wikipedia play. That's right. Tom marks Wicky. So yeah, I think that twenty thousand will be an interesting year for this show because we might have a lot of like rotating now hosts, but we have a core cast that is dedicated to bringing the absolute very best Nintendo covers that we can. And in terms of like what that might mean for our relationship with an Endo. I think we're doing fine. Like, I think we're I mean, I'm serious. But like alternately, I don't think any of us are really certain what the future looks like for this position until pretty recently is. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. "More flexible, well can happen with any of these platforms as he's got an XBox editor sitting there, and then no XBox exclusives. Come out for like, four months, five months. I don't know. Why was that before I was a long time before we got something for the XBox? And so, you know, that well there's value in having kind of like an ambassador or somebody who knows that platform. So well as a company, you know, that constantly has to fight fight for his resource. Is probably wasn't the the best setup for the time. So never say never, right. We might go back to having platform leads in the future again. But right now, that's not what we're going for in terms of this show him. I think we're looking at twenty nineteen. In a very sort of holistic kind of organic way in that. You know, we want different people to host the show. We want a steady panel of of NBC cast members that can rotate and be in the hot seat. But as well as comment on the things that we're talking about on a week to week basis. Like, there's a new one hundred game coming out for the switch cases going to host that week. If there's a new Zelda or Mario thing like metro that's going to be me or pear or Brian. Or you know, if there's some kind of crazy bridge-builder game that is the hottest thing in the world. "tom marks" Discussed on Beyond!

"Beyond is. Of course, our weekly PlayStation showed the number one PlayStation show on the internet. According to a chart, I just made up in my head this week. I am joined by max Scoville thrilled to be here. And Tom marks on Brian Altana is of course overseas venturing far away from us. He'll be back sick with body diseases and traveling in the fjords of your way to try to get better. But will he ever you can find out on later upsets beyond? Sierra is good for your lungs, or is that just a myth? It's probably sherman's myth probably bad for you this week. I'm beyond. We're gonna be talking a lot about the future of PlayStation beyond the PlayStation for beyond. There you go. Our also gonna be talking about a lot of news. Just a quick hits of a bunch of Spiderman news pub GPS for a weird new random PS for proscutor came out of nowhere. Get more nominees in than our impressions of Spiro fallout. And of course, tetris if you haven't played tetris, oh my God play tetris. Checked play it. That's all you need to know. But before we jump into impressions and the news of the week. And all that stuff. I did want to talk about sort of a weird thought I had about the next generation of stuff as we go forward. So right now over the weekend eighteen happened, which is not PlayStation related that was sort of XBox fan festivals. There revival within as to do end. While they're Microsoft announced that they had purchased obsidian obsidian, excuse me, an inex- I'll of city, and of course, did follow Vegas. Attorney franchise the first south park stick of truth RPG and inside known for the wasteland series. And then earlier this year, they also announced they had purchased ninja theory who did hell blade last year undead labs, the state decay. Guys, compulsion games who did we happy few and then playground games? Who of course has been doing the Forza horizon franchise, but there are all these rumors. They're doing a new failed game as well. And they also opened a new studio in Santa Monica. I assume directly across the street from Sony Santa Monica. Just for fun competition. But the thing I want to ask about all this. So Microsoft clearly is stacking up their first party stable of developers and is clear forward thinking thing. This is not for whatever's going to be developed on the Xbox One in the next year. This is clearly a play for the next generation. My question, you guys, at least on the whole is how do you think is gonna step up to what we can sort of expect from PlayStation in the future? Because obviously, PlayStation stable worldwide studios has been such an important part of their identity, and especially the PS four. But a lot of the games they've developed for the PS four have been sorta long development games. They've taken many years to develop they have. And I think that the interesting thing is if you look if you compare going way back to three XBox e three compared to place agency three XBox was like like, you said they show said, here's all these developers..

"I think that we should also put into effect if anyone mentions Tom marks you have to take show. Yeah, that's good rule. We just on this show several times. We can't stack all these rules though. The stakes watching more fun. Yes, that's true on Depp. I've minute seventh paired. Did you add art of balance on now? That's a Brian joined. You probably paid played on three s. and I played it on the on. We also came the week game. I mean, I haven't played the version that they're talking about here was which switch, right? Yeah, yeah. So this was made by, is it Shinhan. Awesome. It's really cool, very nuclear attack. They are game play, but this game's pretty. Yeah. So they've made a bunch of really awesome schnapps and they're sort of there at the launch of Nintendo consoles and handhelds a lot to sort of be like, this is how like the graphics at this this this thing can perform. They quietly sort of tweeted out a surprise either day and they're like, guess what we've new game coming in. Everyone got really excited and it was our art of balance, which is not like the most exciting game of the world, but I played a bunch of this game on switch after you know, skipping it on, we you and playing on we and it's really fun. It's a balanced based sort of physics game. You can play multiplayer and it's pretty chill. Like you have these like weird zen rock formations that you stack up and try to effectively do objectives and reach parameters, and then they come tumbling down and then you sort of give it a nudge, try again and arrange them in different patterns and stuff like that. There's a million of these games on iphone and yeah, but but I think this is one of the better ones. Yeah. Yeah. I really like this game. It's well put together. And it really used the the we the, we've remote very, very well when it first came out. Right. And then it also demonstrates that this your little joy on on that. That's the one thing I've wondered if they're going to do that a lot more. I think the first game that did that was world of goo yet the switch controller. Naughty do not that great though. The controls in that one really. But yeah, I didn't really feel like it's a little floaty, but the world ends with you just did it too, and doesn't, and basically figuring out that you don't do the as accurate as a as a we remote without the sensor bar, but you can also you can play the whole game of the pro controller and in touch screen mode on held. So yeah, it's called check it out. All about stacking things. Yeah. Yeah, not unlike tricky tower. So we talked about it because I talked about last week, silly rate puzzle game. You should definitely get pair. You put saving Mr. taco. I didn't put that on there. We, we just got the codes for. Were you able to boot it up yet play? I played like the first twenty just saw the the the beginning of it as well. The. I think we showed a trailer of that game before. Basically, this Amodu classic games. We'll caught my eye with. This is comes from nNcholas. We'll caught my eye with his game. Is that they actually have GameBoy graphics. Yeah. She's so rarely and kind of like this world of usually like eight bit or sixteen bit lookalikes. And then Mr. Toco is Japanese for October was by the way, so it's not actually a taco. So it's this this very cool retro platformer style starring this ridiculous octopus. Yeah. The hook for this thing is that he shoots Inc which hardens enemies that he can then jump on, and then you use that to reach certain environments. It's got like a very Kirby style doors in Annetta levels yet. Like you, you mentioned it like everyone makes retro platforming games now, but this one completely nails like the old pixel art, Craigslist. This is something you would reviewed back on the GameBoy. Yeah, they're really sticking to the of the g the GameBoy. Yeah, originally game. But yeah, my my first Nintendo system was the original Game Boy. So seeing this action really gonna str-. My heart strings because it looks so pixel..

"It would be samurai lumberjack. So you're essentially like a samurai Jack style? Lumberjack everything you do. It's hotline, Miami style. Like one hit kill everything in the environment is essentially your weapon. So you can grab like an axe and actually kill someone with a one hit in the acts, but you can also grab a carrot and murder someone with a carrot. Basically, everything is a weapon, but what's really close, a lot of them have variations. So if you're watching this is a Dev who's playing the game, play to show different variations of weapons that you could use logs. Yeah. So it's really cool as you can. If you were just watching there's a wheelbarrow, you can write to smash into enemies, but you can also take the wheels off of it and throw those around and they kind of ping pong around the environment was looks like so much also on board with any video game where you can use a fish as a weapon can do that. I saw him. Yeah, it's pretty awesome. And they're also they mentioned there are few sort of Amasi items in the game, like one that's coming up soon. The demo is it's a bear trap, but is essentially functions like a change. And Mario, right? So it'll just shoot out an attack a guy, but will also launch you into the air. So the road wagon and the wheels off and used his weapons yet it's pretty right and then the ladder can be used to also hit guys but propel you up to another level very fast. Yes, it is. Throne, but like very fast. It's basically hotline Miami. But in the woods. So what about this kind of game? I love I love hotline because it's so like it's obviously crushingly difficult, but it's got this wonderful margin for chaos where you can accidents win, sometimes react. What did I do? I killed everyone by accident by throwing a frying pan through window or something. It also looks like it's very snappy in terms of like dying, restarting. That's like really something like hotline Miami or year or two ago. Mr.. Shifty was a game, I got really. Oh yeah, the same type of hyper-violent top down and just very snappy when you die and you restart your right baggage. Read back in a game like this really needs to nail the feel of being able to be in that flow. So often and like the hits that you get feel so great. And then also if you mess up it is so instantly back in the action. It's super great. There's no exact release date earliest consuls, but I imagine it will come to everything under the sun. It's a really fun game. I had a blast I played through that level like five times just to see all the little items you could use. It was a blast speaking of nuclear thrown just off the cuff, Vlam beer, the developer of nuclear thrown also. "Yeah, you to ride and race on cats only recently how we really started kind of figuring out that there's a story to this and like what that is. And I think part of that was in this trailer of findings mysterious cat who's kind of reshaped as guardian. This town is named Abbott and just trying to figure out like what that mystery isn't that that's the big cat. We've seen a lot of promotional material, and I know you find him because I've seen the character run around with them. So. Echo does find. We're full disclosure. I think humble bundle humble is publishing this game, humble and Jen owned by the same company. Yeah. So I followed it chills. All right. Now every time I go. Definitely say this is a homo game. So I came as gorgeous. It's really looks really, I respect the hell out of the game with like such a dedicated art director coming out, actually early twenty nineteen and believe announced what was going to potentially come on this year. But now join team, which is totally fine because just plenty coming out the, I'm okay with that. All right, Brian, what's your topic? Have you guys heard of super brothers sword and sorcery EP now it's yes. So it's a. The room is divided. This was sort of an Iowa, Starling. You might remember to back in the day, kind of wouldn't like ipad gaming came out. I played it on ipad. Yeah, I think we're, that's where a lot of people did, and it's this sort of like hyper stylized very kind of gritty mature pixel art game. The brings in a lot of weird adventure elements. It has one of my favorite soundtracks I think I've ever had. It's one of the few tracks ever been like, I need to buy that on vinyl. And this is just like a really, really awesome kind of fantasy adventure game. It doesn't really look like anything else out there and like you know, pixel games are kind of a diamond dozen on switch. We see them all the time. This is this is one of my favorite ones is of special one ward and swore Swoosh and sore Serie. The name is weird. Yeah, but keep an eye on it. All right. Parent, what's your, what's your top pick? My. What was my topic pick? Oh, a into the breach. So into the breach, they basically sh, they showed it in the direct and they said that did the apple things like, and you can download. Right now which I quickly did because I've been waiting for this game. You guys know I'm a huge fan of advance wars and fire emblem. And this is from the gentleman who brought us FD l. this really cool spaceship simulator really mean game and what it basically is it actually, it looks more like advance worse than it is. It's almost like a like a mic chess game. It's about employing strategies. Like for example, you have. You have one of your Mexican shoot concreted shot that pushes the enemies out of the way. And so you kind of want to aim for the middle in between them to knock them out of the way and into a poll pool of water Alava, whatever. Right. And so you have to kind of plan where you put your units way, you move them what you repair you wanna shield building so that they don't get get destroyed the enemies. It's it's a very clever, very strategic game with the a full wants is not dumb along a lot of advance wars clones have really, really bad a and this one doesn't. It's it's clever, you're expected to die. Then you reset and you. You kind of responded a new time line and you keep the battle up and you may have to fight some battles over, but but you have some kind of a persistent elements where you upgrade and grow your grow your force. Super clever cool game played from from an isometric perspective and had my eye on this. Tom marks was playing it on before and said, it was great. And I, I knew it was. Does it feel like right at home on switch? It's it's just so good for for a handheld machine because you can..

"Is because of the way that the implemented, you know, the things that they talk about narrative and designed supporting those things and then really coming together to be kind of the master of the hunt. But I'm really interested to see how the narrative plays out because they were very hush, hush about it. And so that one's going to be started. Actually, they're going to have. Starter? Yeah, it's a nebulous release date right now. No exact release. Cool. I want to know about the resin evil game because you seem super excited about the resident evil resume motza game that is very, very, very near and dear to my heart. The the first, the remake of the first resident. Evil is my favorite game ever. And I was very hesitant going into this demo about how they were gonna handle it, and I was completely blown away and not only me who is like a huge resin evil fan, but Tom marks played with me as well from gin and he walked away from the gaming. This is one of the coolest board games I've ever played, and he has no frame of reference really for resident evil. And so it was enough where you know there was enough there were didn't just feel like it felt like it was a well designed. I'm there are so many things in this game that are awesome. And the main thing is that it just gives you this like low key sense of dread that is just perfectly on brand with resident evil, like you're hesitant to to do anything. And at any moment you're ready for something to happen. Like at the end of everyone's turn, you draw from a deck of tension cards and the the graphic on the back of the card is the slowly opening door. That's the loading screen. All my games. That's awesome. Resources come very limited. You play characters that feel very frail and your constantly terrified, especially like we sat down and I was like those dogs. That's a liquor. Those are walkers home. I got. I'm really gonna play this. But the Sherwin Matthews, the main designers, the guy who did our demo, and he blew my mind with amount of dedication and knowledge that he had about resin evil to to the point where like I wish khloe was there because Chloe is such a huge resin evil fan that you know, I immediately when we were done. I was just messaging her on Twitter. Just being like, this is the best board game of, I guess. But he has just a hard sense of the game. One of the first things that he said that when I sat down, I was like, okay, this is real is he said, this is not a game where you can kill everything. This is a game where you have to completely limit your resources. You have to try to evade combat. Otherwise you're just going to get destroyed and Tom hearing that made a face. There was a, I don't get to kill bunches Omni's, but I was like, exactly. Yeah, that's resonated. This is specifically modeled around resin to, right. So you're in the police station, you're in downtown raccoon city. Like how sort of expansive to the environments get terms of what remember from the video game and the upcoming remake. So the most interesting thing to me is that shirl Matthews, the guy who is the designer who we sat down and talked to. He was telling me that when they initially got word that they had received this property, he was sitting in a pub. He pulled grab graph paper out of his bag and started redrawing maps of the game on good paper by memory. So that's that's the level of translation here. A lot of passion that, yes, but I mean, it's nearly a one to one. We walked down one of the initial hallways and the game, and these prints prehensile arms came out and grabbed us, and we were stuck there for a minute and we had to spend the time to get out. It is so great. We only get to see too. Scenarios one, which we played and one which table next doses playing. The other one was one where you return to, I think, seems Milton..

"I think the difference is no man's sky was one of the first game that I actually read about where people in mass we're getting refunds and in many ways. Like I think that's completely justifiable like death threats are not, but saying this product not deliver what it promised me. I want my money back is something that's, I think completely fair to do. And I think Steve does a really good job of doing that with PlayStation. It's a little dicey here, but I've had plenty of game experiences where I buy it and I'm like, I don't like this. This is not what I thought it would be, and then I'm kinda sucked, especially with the digital purchase. So I hope this. Keeps growing hope. It keeps changing.
