'Feels like a loss': Commanders don't know how to feel after tie vs. Giants

"The Giants and commanders finished in a 2020 tie after seesaw game between two teams bat for playoff spots. Washington jumped out to an early ten zero lead, but the Giants behind Daniel Jones bounced back and held a 2013 lead late in the game before the commander scored a touchdown with just under two minutes remaining to even the score. It's not a loss. It's not a win either, so I think you understand that part of it, but I think just disappointed that we could have could have played better. It could have taken advantage of some situations. The Giants Graham gano had a chance to win the game of the 58 yard field goal at the end of overtime, but it fell short. Tom Harry

"Great. All right, Let's get some more hilarity from our favorite news Bad Joe Bartlett at a 30. Good morning, Joe. You may get some chuckles out of this governor, Cuomo has put forward a plan to keep kids away from a life of crime. It includes 2000 jobs in summer youth programs and also more money for community basically know who is getting into trouble. And they need the ability to add that time. Reach that person and stop the cycle before it even starts. Yeah. If only this gunman had a summer job. He probably would not have shot that 25 year old guy in the Bronx. This guy shot in the head in College Avenue. Uh, unclear what led to the shooting, whether or not you know, he was just bored because he didn't have a summer job. Or, uh, there were no after school programs for the gunman. But anyway, that's the latest victim of gun violence in the city. Also being sarcastic. Just checking Well, when come on, Len, that maybe you think youth program would have helped him out. Crime is going to stop because we have summer youth programs. Yeah, one and we're going to give money to community groups, which alright language to the new steel, which their job by the way they will steal it. Which, of course, just as de Blasio as wife did with that mental health money. That billion dollars that just went missing, right? Yeah, by the way, and no mention Still, this is the second time the governor has been out with an anti crime plan, and there's still been no mention of changing the bail. Reform law that allows people to be arrested with guns. Go to a judge. Get out on bail. Get arrested with guns again. Come back. So anyway. The summer jobs will help in Times Square. Business leaders are demanding help after bullets flew in that area again yesterday morning, The Times Square Alliance president Tom Harry says this has got to stop and we can't wait for a new mayor to take action. We're hearing some of the 911 calls placed three weeks ago after that condo collapse in Surfside, Florida. Many of them came from people who were trapped inside the building in your apartment right now. Yes, but half the building's done. Okay. Are you able to get out through the staircase? No, no, that is pretty scary. The death toll right now. 97 90 of the victims have been identified about this in Mount Vernon. They got a financial problem so bad that they have to take garbage trucks off the road. There. It's impacting the waste collection to the mayor there says the fleet is old tires are splitting, balding and the trucks have leaking oil and she doesn't want to put them out on the streets. So guess what, you're not getting a lot of garbage pick up in Mount Vernon. Uh, they also Oh, the tire company more than $45,000. So that's probably why they're not getting their tires fixed. Officials are asking residents to be patient. All right. How about this? The late James Gandolfini was once paid $3 million not not to take an acting job. He was going to take over for Steve Carell when he left the office. But Steve Schirripa, who is on the Talking Sopranos podcast, says HBO didn't want him to take that before James Fada and after Corral they offered Jim I want to say $4 million to play him for decision and HBO paid him three million not to do it. That's a foul. Schirripa says Gandolfini was going to take the job. How about that? But HBO Wanna Gandolfini for a series of their own. They also did not want to tarnish the image of Tony Soprano. It was a good actor. I mean, you know, he's known as Tony Soprano, but I remember he did A, uh, romantic comedy was with Julia Louis Dreyfus. He was very good. I mean, really right. That's what I saw that. Yeah, Yeah, He is very was very versatile. You're right. Yeah, and he was great in a Broadway show. I can't remember the name of it. Nobody was with Jeff Daniels and Oh, a couple of other I had had them all four of them on my TV show back in the day, and they were great. I'll tell you this about Gandolfini. I met him before he was famous. He had a very minor role in the stage version of on the waterfront on Broadway. And the producer of the play was thoroughly corrupt and didn't have the money to pay the cast. So I got a call from someone saying, you know, you got to meet with the cast members because they're really upset. Their checks just bounced. So we met at a bar around the corner from the theater and one of the there's big guy comes in, and it was this guy. I never met him before. Hey, my name is Jim Gandolfini. He had a small small part in the show, and we talked and I think I quoted him in the story about how their checks bounced. That's the first time I ever met him. And he became what a shame to very talented game. Very talented guy. Yeah. Hey, Joe. One other sports note. Your buddy Jordan speech just birdied 15. He's one shot back as they're playing the first round of the British Open. I know you're a big Jordan Spieth fans. Oh, good. Well, let's hope you can do it for four days in a row. He's pretty.

I grew up in a couple of mountain. I grew up in Blair. And my aunt uncle have a farm in Huntington County. So that's not real far from from that Clearfield County area, and I had a buddy who lived up there. And actually shot. I think my one and only Woodcock when I was hunting up there, So I wrote Yeah, we had it. We were on a grouse hunt and with the dog and jumps from grass never killed grouse and Woodcock went up and I was able to take it, so that was pretty cool. Well, there must be a few deer up there because we went to look at this Has that guy had fried Doesn't dear skulls all around the place. Yeah, there's dear. There, no question. There's a big hunting club up there. Has has two names. I can't remember it, but it's like 6000 acres. And these guys are very organized. They drive the deer you know they half of it will drive and half of will stand. Uh, they have bears of turkeys. But my buddy shot this guy was the best man at my second wedding. He shot up Hey was on a drive and The guy above him was yelling yelling, Mike, Mike, Mike, Mike! Big Buck Cullen! Big Buck, Colin, Mike! Big Buck. Of course, the Bucks running, you know Mike's not Mike's right in its path. And he's not gonna yell and scare the deer. So here's this beautiful nine point and he pulls the trigger. And the deer stopped and he shot it again. Anyone ever pick it up? Look at it, And he had shot right through the antlers with his 2 43 right the Web and made a beautiful 0.243 hole through the A Lear's So that was the night steer and another occasion They were on a bare drive, and he jumped Bear, and he shot it with the 2 43. And the Bear did not succumb immediately. It walked off, but it you know, is leaving a trail every step. Mike was follow it. Follow it. Follow me. What about 600 yards and heard a shot at the other end. Anyone over and there's there's a fellow with his bare £600. The guy was already putting his tag on. Guy didn't know it was hit. The bear came walking out, you know, so So there was a discussion about who shot the bear. And and Mike lost that one because They didn't They didn't dispatch the animals. Anyway, We're up on top of mountain or Yeah, you argues Daniel Creek. It's all pine trees. You have no idea how jealous I am of you right this minute. Probably trapped in that creek, too. I would imagine. Yeah. God I use guy Has it has recognized big sportsman. Yeah, well, you're gonna have to call gonna have to get acquainted with him and figure out what's going on. They're so Yeah, we're gonna do that. But I listen to you online most of the time anyway, so I'll still be listening. Good going every now and then. Once you get up there I will do that. You guys take care. All right, Take it easy. Take care, buddy. Richard in Tennessee, who's already fled the state. I have already fled the state. Good morning, Robin. Good morning, Alan. Good morning, And I don't blame you Weigh. Love it down here just couldn't be any happier. Only thing I miss about Maryland really is the Deer hunter. There's not much compared to Maryland Deer hunt. Of course. Pennsylvania's probably just is good, but Cell so cold up there it is And what we're not getting here. Tomorrow is now so that I'm thankful. See Ro Robin like snow, So she's been waiting for this storm for in it. And if it peters out, she's not gonna be happy. No, So, but she's been waiting for this for this snow up there. Finally, you guys are getting something and we're not down here and Uh huh. Okay, be happy, But I didn't. Uh A talk to a friend of mine yesterday, you know, long lived in Maryland lives in Maryland hunts and all that. And he said, there's a primitive weapons season this year in Maryland. I wasn't aware of that. Monday. Tuesday, Wednesday coming up Yep. Percussion Cap flintlock. No telescope excites no in line muzzle loaders, Rikers and long both know compounds across both. I'm sure they'll be a few people partaking in that I'm planning on it. All right. Wow. Yeah. Oh, well, I've been muzzleloader hunting since the seventies. So you grew up with a flintlock and Percussion cap, and when I moved to Maryland and 83, I had a some folks that gets barrel company the brothers where it gets barrel company. They were building custom muzzle loaders, and they were known for their whether what they're called swamped muzzleloader barrels, which have a little have a little slope to him. Hard to describe, but they were making the whole gun. So they had a flintlock in there. And I said, Look, I'm moving to Maryland. We're allowed to use a percussion cap. Can can you convert this? They said, Oh, yeah, no problems Put new lock in it. So they put a new lock in it and That gun is That gun is in storage right now in our shed. One of them and I will be getting that out today before it starts to snow, and I will be making sure that everything is good to go with that fire are very happy to use that I've taken several deer with it. It shoots like a dream. Open sight 80 grains of two f black powder and a patch drowned 50 caliber round ball and I'm good to go. Wow! What's the range? Uh, I took one about 80 yards one time, and that's about as far as I want to shoot her. Yeah, well, I could shoot it further, but What's that? I say That's really I mean, really. You hear people saying they take 152 100 yards shots. I'm not taking that even with my Deviate. In line. I'm not taking you know that 90 yards 100 yards be stretching it for May for all right, Well, see, I bought it. I bought a CV. A, um Limited edition with a 30 inch barrel. And it cited in for 200 yards. I'm using 270 grains. Power belt with tiny grains of black are 90 grains of Blackthorn to of night and I feel very confident shooting at a 200 yards. So That's but I've never shot up 200 yards, no shot to deal with it this year, the second year At 80. Uh, 80 yards with that. And you know it hit right where I am. So I'm happy that yard. You know that. You said the word right there. Confidence shooting at two on yours. I wouldn't be because I'm not shot that for a fact that far right? You know, so I shoot what? I'm comfortable shoot. Absolutely. But the gun but the gun certainly capable of it. Oh, no question. I didn't take last week I took my enhanced carry class and Went through all the necessary steps, and I should be getting that in the mail here in a couple weeks. Good for you. Yeah. It's just something to have, You know, It's like I told people, you know, it's funny because the state you're allowed. The carrion is you don't really feel the need do nice to be able to if you choose to. Yeah. Yep. You got it, buddy..
