"Dude. It long don't be scared anymore. I'll take it easy on you. I can can smile on my side of the tape for no apparent reason. I don't know. Are you saying what you such a hater you start the morning off? Hey, we have a lot to today show. I should the warriors be scared of the blazers and was I turn the Knicks around. But let's start with some very interesting trade. Rumors LeBron actually get moved this off season and B C's, Tom Habur stroke, quoted one Western Conference. Exact that said the Sixers might explore trading. Benjamin's for LeBron have says Simmons failure to add a jump shot is a reason why Philly should put him on the trade bloc. One problem the salaries don't match up. So the Sixers would need to sign and trade either Tobias Harris or Jimmy Butler to make it work. She Hannan, but you see this actually happening because he the Lakers being just dumb enough to do something. Like, this absolute it's give nearly especially when you have people in position that they'll have no business being in that position that you do things. Dump things if this was any other team, I would say, you must be crazy. They would never ever consider trading pantheon great player, although he only has three or four more years left for guy this twenty four with him consider that. But it's the Lakers. So I don't put anything past them skip. Let's just say for the sake of argument. And that's what we do. We do. We argue. I wait debate healthy discussion LeBron going into your seventeen yell. Ben Simmons is going into his fourth year. But really is thirty year Glenn committing that. He didn't play murkier. Yep. What juncture in Ben Simmons career? Will he be as good as LeBron James deals right now? Right now as good as what point will Ben Simmons at any point news career be as good as LeBron James is currently as he enters year seventeen. He already is go ahead. You've your vehicle. I watched you feel very comfortable in saying that Ben Simmons better ball player than LeBron. James right, now, take him over LeBron going into your seventeen you at you, my up, homo you, go take the guy that shot five times. You gotta shot five times might do much return yet, you had a rupture Bank. You you ask me question. Did I not? I just gave a one word answer that you try you try to Jane to your whole deeper and deeper date. Okay. I'm waiting on Ben Simmons because everybody kept telling me when I when he came out. Oh, man. He developed a jumper. Oh, he's developing a jumper win. We're for us deep into his NBA career win. Are we going to see that jumper that he was supposed to have developed? I haven't seen it. No one has seen it no outside of the paint. He is no. And boy as far as storing the basketball. Yep. We've seen him take a temp one three point in which it wasn't the end of the quarter. The end of the half for shot clock violations about to expire one three and you want to trade him for LeBron. That's why you're laughing. That's a fake laugh in the first one was a real, you know, what this the proverbial Herman Melville story..

"I think right now they're only a game above five hundred during this stretch where hardens been taking over. So if you're his teammates, you know, maybe they're doing their best. And there's no guarantees or maybe they're thinking to themselves if we had a little more, balanced, maybe we'd be winning some of these games the balanced part of it still sticks out to me. Because if any of you missed it last night, we talked to Tom hammer throw you can take it on the podcast that's out. And he had a really good point about the way this offense runs with Chris Paul. And that was essentially they're running a split offense that when it goes through Chris Paul's and he's doing what he wants to do. And when it goes through harden, he's doing what he wants to do. So, you know, I I'm still interested to see what it actually looks like when you see them try and figure that out together. When harden has been getting this usage rate, and his frankly, not used to having to share the ball on the playground. Yeah. We talked to Tom Habur Stroh about this last night. And I think we saw enough last year of hardened being able to fit and I for one and I've admitted along didn't necessarily think that we were going to have the balance between a Chris Paul. And James harden that we saw last year. I thought there are two similar. There's there's not enough balls to go around. Right. And instead it ended up producing the most efficient offense we've ever seen. The most productive offense we've ever seen and a team that was almost able to take out the war. You're so I'm not really concerned with Harden's ability to get back to what what they were doing. And I do think Clint Capellas return is even more important because that inside out game that they mastered. Chris Paul coming back alongside harden at least gives them someone who can make. Own shot who can create his own shot and presumably will make it more difficult for the other team because they can't just say all right everybody guard harden and see what we can do that hasn't been working anyway. But now you really have to respect another guy out there. I'm not even sure to work tonight. Cow. Kyle Lowry from Toronto talked about sounds like their little resigned that hardens just going to score. He's going to get his and you can't be upset when he gets is going to make some incredible shots. He's gonna make a step back. He's going to get fout. You've just got to keep your composure play your game. And do it an offense. You got to put pressure on them put pressure on their team. Take me stop them. You're not he's going to get his. But you could still be smart about every decision. You make follow the game plan just consistently try to wear on them. So you know, what could stop him a day of rest for the all star game. Can we just acknowledge? I know he's on the all star team. Can we acknowledge he shouldn't go anywhere near that? Like of all the times for a guy that's been leaving the leading the league in minutes for guy. That's doing what he's doing. He should take the all star game off and just rest. Oh, gosh. This is such a tough thing to convince him though. Right because right now, we've heard him say enough about my legacies online. And here's here's what I want to show people and as long as I'm playing basketball, and I'm in this league. I'm going to do my thing. Even if everybody knows it would be better for the team for him to take rest. I don't know if you can convince him to slow himself down. Now, you probably can't it just seems like that makes the most sense. And I know what's one game. Right. What's one game in the in the process of I'm not going to sit here and say, well, if he plays in the all star game, he's going to be tired for the NBA. Finals, I doesn't work that way. It's just feels like as much as been on him. And now the Chris Paul is coming back..

"tom habur" Discussed on WEEI

"In good position a balanced back the game one loser the nba finals is six in warned in the following game since twenty ten with four of those teams having gone on to win this series espn nba reporter tom habur show earlier on dickerson n ehud and the cavs chances in the second tip of a much better gold they were unity i gave up the cab gave up a hundred and eleven point her one hundred possession against the indiana pacers in the first round and then they weren't tested for two rounds so obviously they need to cut down on those turnovers twenty turnovers a game one which will help them defend uh so the the warriors will have to kick the ball out of the basket but this is a case where uh the order to good offensively uh i think we're gonna win in five games that nothing out a game on dissuaded me from that tape tom what surprise you most about the cavs game plan coming in the game one will they tried to have have legrand garki but he can they in front of them he he really i didn't have any rotation behind him so if you're gonna have legrand james tried if they were kevin durant uh in a oneonone matchup you better have hersman tops it be that rotation out at bat live but he wasn't there um and it wasn't a cave took good rotation they weren't picking up guys and transition they tried to stop step curry out on the three point line and make sure he didn't get any good looks but ultimately they didn't play any again kevin duran and that was the problem uh they may not have to be much tighter their rotation turnovers warriors committed just four in game one tied for the fewest an nba finals game while they had four the calves had twenty marks the biggest turnover differential an nba finals game since turnovers were i recorded the greatest muhammed ali passed away a year ago we look back on an athlete that transcended sports emma rinaldo helps rail madrid do something no other champions league team had done before that's next this is espn radio.
