"You live from another part of the country is Tom shillue. This is the third hour of the program. And this is where I get to invite my friends, however, my friends her in New York, they are in the studio in New York. And I'm here in Phoenix on KFI AM five fifty. So joining us in the studio now, do we have the Jamie La Belle song? I cannot play play. Well, look who's here. It's jamie. La bella. I love that. I love it. How'd you magically do that all the way from there? Well, you know, I mean, I call it happens. This is like the magic of radio mountains move. I love it eleven Jamie Lebel have you ever done the show with Don. Jamieson course, I have my should have known that. I should have known. Don Jamieson is here. Comedian former coast of VH one that metal show, and we don't have an intra form yet. Don, I don't know what we did. But you know, I it's it's long overdue. I knew that wasn't my intro for sure. I'm definitely more of a Metallica megadeath kind of guy. But now, that's all right. We'll work what hell's bells for you. We could do hell's bells and ring my bell. When you're on with James. That's perfect should be on forever. Always bring my own belt one for you one for me. There we go. So you guys I'm out in Phoenix, as you know, I'm out here doing a live event for FOX nation. Thanks, forty eight rain a year. Tom. Thanks. I know it's really nice here nasty here. It's Terreblanche show. The sun is shining there. Yes. Well yesterday, it was raining, but it was that wonderful desert rain it came down. And then the clouds came out, and it was a wonderful rainbow. So that was down south of Tucson yesterday where my mom lives. So I was able to come out for mother's day weekend and took her out for some Mexican food. Oh, she like Mexican. Yes. Yes. When a nice day when you back I'll be back. I've got two days here. And then I'll be back on Thursday. If I'm correct because I'm going to be traveling on Wednesday. But we're doing our event live FOX nation at the w hotel in Scottsdale on Tuesday. So look for that on Fox News special with a lot of your FOX nation personality. So guys we spent the last hour talking about education, Felicity Hoffman is guilty looks like she's going to go to jail for forty days. What do you think or rather four four months? What do you think of the latest in the varsity blues scandal, Jamie? It's better that she pleaded guilty. Not like aunt Becky at this point who's who's going to be facing more years behind bars because she's not willing to admit that she was wrong. And I know that we've discussed this before I think that these cheating leak should be held accountable, Jamie. I'm I spent an hour railing against the the over zealous. Prosecutors in this case because I think education is is out of control. I don't know why the the administrators of these colleges weren't brought in front of prosecutors enforced to answer questions. Don jamieson. I don't even know you're you are a mystery wrapped in an enigma. So for all I know you went to Yale and have several doctoral degrees. I went to Rutgers and I cut lawns to put myself through school. So I did it the right way. I'm not sure how I feel about this. I'm going to wait for a list Milano to make a statement about it. I hold on. Lank a listen Milano is on a sex strike. I can't believe I didn't plan to do the story. I didn't send you the story. But I'm sure you've heard of it Elissa Milano has asked to her sister since like something out of the Buckeye out of Greek literature. She's encouraging all females to to withhold sex from their men. Have you heard about this dawn? Yes, it's called marriage. No. I don't believe this. Why don't you? Jamie. You're engaged. I don't know. If you thought of that comment. I mean, yes engaged. So after we were married. Absolutely. There's gonna be tons of ad, but. I mean, why is she doing this? What does she insecure with her body was the deal? No it is. I think it was sparked because of the Georgia. The pro-life Bill that passed in Georgia the heartbeat Ville, and so many people are doing what they can to complain about it production companies. They're saying they're not going to be set up shop in Georgia and she has proposed a sex strike. She also accompanied with an article saying that studies show that sex strikes are remarkably effective, however from a feminist perspective. And I know you both feminists hard, obviously, the many feminists were angry that she proposed a sex strike because she said, hey, hey, this is from the feminist perspective. They said Elissa that you are reinforcing the idea that sex is something that men. Enjoy and women don't enjoy and withholding. It is kind of a way to get back at men. It's the exact opposite of feminism. What do you think about that, Jamie? Listen, I'm with them on that singular point. But why isn't you talking to men? That's a very good point women. Enjoy intercourse in meaningful intercourse just as much as menu. I've heard are you guys you guys ready? With the bleep there. I I didn't know it would be it would be taking this to the edge with Jamie. Bella. That's it bleep. What be what b? Describe I think that's that's how we called it back in the game show days be, but I think that men and women equally enjoy what be so pointing out just women is something that Elissa Milano would do because she victimizes women instead of victimizing them. We should be celebrating them and giving them the equal things that she's preaching. But it said, she victimizes them. And as a woman, I find that offensive very interesting. Well, I mean I saw right before we came on the air. I saw somebody a guy tweeted he was really mad. He's like this is objectionable. This is disgusting. This is outrageous. And it was her husband, actually. So you could understand why be mad. I, you know. I I don't know. You know, listen Milano doesn't she doesn't have a fancy hashtag yet though. She I think she needs that. Yeah. I think sex strike was it was something along the lines strike. Yeah. Okay. Some people were some people thought it was a bowling event. Exactly. But they they a lot of people think it's backward thinking, and the funny thing about it. She proposed a sex strike in in the name of the pro choice movement. However, a lot of the pro-lifers were chiming in. I saw Lila rose, obviously, she's a pro-life activist. She chimed in. And she said, hey, I'm with you. I'm all for that. But she has a different reason why she said she said, I think you should withhold sex until you're married, and you want to have a baby. So she kind of we have people on the right agreeing with a listen Milano for one. So something tells me that wasn't a great a great approach for her to take. Now, we've got so on the varsity blues did I get done? Did. I get your opinion on this yet. I think even though you said you did it the right way. Right. But my position always has been in its opposition to Jamie, Jamie, still seems to think that these actresses need to be punished. I hope that aunt Becky beats the rap because she was it's different than Felicity Huffman. Everyone kind of puts them in the same soup. There Felicity Huffman actually did pay and there's evidence to show that she hired someone to correct her daughters tests, which is straight up cheating on Becky, she played this strange game that got her daughter classified as a rowing person, you know, a crew member. So essentially, they say that was fraud on the university, but it was done in in concert with the employees of the university. And her college consultant, she claims, I didn't think I was breaking any laws and to tell you the truth. I don't know what law you're breaking. When your daughter pretends to be a rower. I'm not sure what law. It is your brain. Yeah. You look we know over the years, historically, obviously, rich people have always paid for certain privileges. But I feel like Tom you're you're taking at Becky side. Because she's, you know, America's sweetheart everyone loves her. If it was Nancy grace, would you feel the same way Nancy grace? Yeah. Now, she has a more abrasive personality. And. Yeah, probably I don't know if I would see it the same way. I may be. Yup. I may be swayed by an Becky she is in one of my favorite shows when calls the heart on the hallmark channel. Thank you hallmark channel. Yes. I actually know exactly what you're talking because you is your wife on a sex strike. You're watching the hallmark channel. Oh my God. We we've watched it as a family. We we would you know, we went through all of the great family shows like little house in the prayer Bolton's. And when calls the heart is actually produced by Michael Landon son how and because we trust Michael Landon to create great, family entertainment. We said, wait a minute. Let's stick with the family. You know, they did the touched by an angel all of that stuff. So we figured his son. So we gave it a shot, and it is a bit of a western soap opera. I don't think it's on the high quality of the Waltons or little house in the Perry. But it's still one of our favorites. And you know, what I promise you that Ampex daughter the Instagram influence or was not watching any of those shows because she didn't even want to go to college at all at the same time Ampek he's saying she doesn't know what was going on. I think she did. She definitely did. She wanted the kudos. She wanted the credit. She wanted to walk that gold line like the other celebrity elite moms that got into those schools. I think she. Wanted the credit? And I don't think I would I would argue that they they knew they were at the very least they knew they were doing something a little bit shady, but the thing is with with the opaque nature of college, admissions, the fact that these colleges they don't tell you how they select people. We know that people are selected all the time based on a number of different factors. One could be that your parents went there. That's called legacy admission another could be the color of your skin. I don't like that at all. I don't like a race based admissions. But I mean, they're all over the place in schools and schools admit it, and they say, oh, no, we definitely admit certain people of certain races over other races. I think that's terrible. So when you have people cutting corners at some point, I think if you're throwing people in jail for cutting corners when the colleges themselves have this Otake nature to them. They're also loaded with money. People are driving themselves into debt. I think the whole thing is ridiculous. We have Kurt on Fort Worth. He wants to weigh in on the sex strike, Kurt immediately. We talk sex strike Kurt calls right in. Tom Donna, and hey, Jamie, say what. Are you telling me that now off the market, right? I'm married thirty plus years..

"Care Act that was signed into law by President Obama. So I have served in divided government working with the Democratic White House in this case, if it indeed is a Democratic Congress, I look forward to working with my colleagues, so Democrats are taking back power in the US in the US house midterm election results showed Democrats regaining control in the house. "Of today's midterm election, reach Everett along with Pete Garelli and Corey Ellis. We are starting to get some numbers in and some races looked to be pretty much over at this point. We can tell you with certainty that Andrew Cuomo has been elected for a third term as New York's governor Kirsten gillibrand will serve another term in the US Senate Paul taco in congress, Tom Donna Kelley has been reelected as state controller Elise. Stefanik is right now in a fairly back and forth race with Ted recobbled the north country for the twenty first congressional district. Latest numbers show Cobb. With about fifty three percent of the vote right now Daphne Jordan appears well on her way to a victory in the state Senate race in Saratoga county. Also, Neil breslin is pretty much the winner in his state Senate race, Jim Tedesco and state Senate as well. Now one race we are very closely watching right now is the nineteenth congressional district. John fast. So and Carlos Delgado with the moment some very preliminary numbers in showing fast with about fifty six percent of the votes thirty nine percent for Delgado. But again, very early numbers in that race right now George Morris is live with the Jon Basso campaign in Malaysia Georgia bring us up to date. How are things going on down there? You said that I read covers coming through people can up here on that winding. Brooke countries in Asia, and it is kind of a atmosphere, but there is a lot of in the room and hoping that John Fatto be elected to a second term in congress. Some people here break before the polls close they said they've been hearing all day that turnout has been high across the district. They were hopeful for professor Sanders. Right. Also, they said that they were hearing that out with high democratic areas that would go for Antonio Delgado. It's a diverse district a far-reaching district in area. And that's why it really is up as to who will win. We've been hearing ads coming in from outside interests, the attack ads that have really been a big part of this campaign. I've been told that fast so is expected to arrive sometime in the ten o'clock hour, although as you know on election night things can change very quickly. And also it does depend on how the results come in. But as of this point, it is still too close to call ear or the nineteenth congressional district. And of course, it's rates to a big bellwether as far as your tire country goes as congress right now is in the hands of the Republicans, but many hope that it could switch over the Democrats for now, we're in George Morris. News Radio and one zero three one w rewind and we wanna point out too that we've only got just a handful of precincts right now in that in that facile. Delgado contest what other race that we're watching very closely for Rensselaer county DA Mary Pat Donnelly with a narrow fifty one to forty eight percent lead over incumbent Joel able of but again, only a very small handful of precincts. Reporting numbers. Very preliminary gentlemen, looks like Mr. fassulo is at least off to a good start at this point. Although we certainly we don't know where the votes are coming through them. We have to we do have to say that the outset. But at least, you know, we've been talking about this race being too close to call for for so long Corry. Why why do you think this race has been as tight as it has been? Well, I think the district is a lot diverse than more people. Most people think and I think that's why I think. Antonio was able to galvanize a different type of voter and get them excited about voting for his candidacy, not just vote against John facile, but for Antonio Delgado. But I'm sitting here waiting for these election results in minds me of a like a group project. You do, you know, you know, waiting for your grades to come in. I did my part. I just hope the rest of the didn't mess it up. Great analogy. I think that the the the advertising this the spots in this race of been particularly tough. I mean, we were portraying Delgado is a New York City rapper and we're portraying fast. So with someone who broke his promise to a woman with cancer on health care. These these were some nasty spots. Pete millions and millions of dollars read coming in from independent expenditure type packs from all around the country that are not coordinated with either campaign. Those tend to be those negatives as that hit each other over the head, and then you'll get the fluffier ads and Antonio Delgado really had some nice ads the one where he looked right into the camera is very genuine very sincere. Bet sells John fassulo doesn't sell as well because he's he's a policy wonk. He knows anybody who sits and listens to John Paso. He's not hyper dynamic type of guy. I would agree. But he is an extent I think Corey would have he's an intelligent guy. He's very very sincere fabulous family, man. And so in coronary will we're talking a little bit. Yes. This is a bellwether district. You've got elements of New York City that come into this. Because of the folks from New York who migrate up into that district. You've got some rural areas, you got some suburban area. So this is really an amalgam of a district that yes, it's a bellwether. And I, and I I always say, you know, former congressman Gibson he was able to cross over and get a lot of democratic votes. So people just assume because he was so popular and district. It was a large Republican voting district when it's not it's very diverse. No question that both the Democrats and Republicans want this seat very badly. And it will be as you said a a bellwether race tonight. One thing that has struck me about the ads. We're talking about the spots here a second ago. These are these are not spots that were sponsored by the candidates. This is not, you know, I'm John facile. And I approve this message these were spots paid for by outside interest groups. That's right read, I'm a big advocate for positive campaigning. And if you're going to go negative, it's only negative in the fact that if if a candidate or excuse me, if an incumbent or candidate has facts, and I say facts that go against what they are trying to purportedly contradict that's fair game. This childish parochial attacks in the slick advertising to me has no place in politics in that has has attributed to the degradation of. There was also something else about these spots. That rubbed me the wrong way. You had one spot where Benita Zahn was featured in the TV spot, and you had another spot where you heard John Gray's voice. Now, these are two of the capital region's, most well-known most-trusted broadcast. Journalists were literally brought into the campaign did that need to happen either on either one of you. Well, I think you know, as it just bothered as as a person once said if negative negative campaign. He didn't work they wouldn't they wouldn't do it. It's unfortunate you put it it works. And it's unfortunate that it has to come from an in the media are not we are hearing so much about how we are not trusted anymore. We are with fake news. And we are. You know, it's dead lies. This fake news that and here we have two spots where we've got to of broadcast reporters literally brought into the campaign, you're not trusted unless what they say can be used against their opponent in the one thing that political candidates do in their campaigns. Do they comb the public record the newspapers the press accounts, the TV the radio quotes, and if they can pull it as something that's been reported? They will all right Pete. And Corey we're gonna come back in just a few minutes. I'm reached shepherd. This is live continuous coverage of election night. Two thousand eighteen presented by kiss kiss tire.

"That's why we read them aloud to ourselves and sometimes read them aloud right here on the show restraint, Tom donnas, aka surgeon. Cisco says that he doesn't mind that whole Google tracking location, history story that we talked about the other day because the convenience outweighs the privacy issues. Adana says, I can see the patterns in the morning before heading to work. I can track my oldest child's phone when she loses it. Again, we're tracking made. It just will the weather on either to go home or assistant. My wife and I share locations with each other because we work officers often when the other ones that ice cream. Mm store and an opera, bringing anything home, I can call her out on it and vice versa. I feel like this little Baha beside the point though he saying, well, it started Cisco is saying, I don't mind Google tracking my location history because it gives me these these things. And if that was the story that then I totally agree. But the story is they were tracking your location in a way that a lot of apple didn't realize was happening. It's all fair to my opinion, too. If Google says, if you let us track your location history, we will do these things and then sergeant Cisco can make an informed choice and go, that's fine. I don't mind like he saying that's perfectly rational. But the story was that they were saying, you've turned off location, history and people thought, oh, great. Now, location history is off, but there was another system going that was also storing some location history that didn't realize what doing it. Well, I think I think certain CISCO's, he's like, listen, I got a family. We're busy people. Everyone's all over the place. This works for. For me, even if there's some a little weird about the privacy settings, it is more advantageous than is privacy. You should just be making that choice is wide open, not thinking sorts of Cisco. Obviously, it was like I had nothing to hide, so it's no problem. But if if you were in the position of, I thought it turned it off, it's not okay for me.
