"Indicate wiley stands at his own. Twenty four waits for the snap. Rogers deep nebraska. Here's why these kick gets high. It holds up their riders x. The ball at the thirty. He's not away failed to the thirty five. Forty forty five. He's forty five to the party. The thirty five to the twenty. He's man women in india. China may be the greatest radio football play by play. call ever certainly the most famous and We celebrate the fiftieth year anniversary of the game of the century. this coming saturday of course nebraska oklahoma or honored to be joined again by husker head coach former head coach. Tom osborne who was the offensive coordinator for bob vani that time. Good morning. Good back. Gary and i hope you getting along okay this morning and it's tough. It's tough this morning know. His habits is habits. Tom or really really hard to overcome. After twenty years and more this. I can take you know. I don't know that i. I don't know that i've ever heard you address this specifically Coach i'm curious. What was your day like that day. i mean we know about the game certainly But here you are. And there's more hype than they're probably ever been for a single game as number one versus number two and you're the offensive coordinator. Can you kind of take us through That morning and leading up to the game well. Obviously there was a certain amount of tension involved but in those days The bowl games were decided Earlier in the season and marry bear bryant usually had his pink lined up for a bowl by the fifth or sixth year. So you knew that That game With us one and two in the rankings. was probably going to be very instrumental in the national championship. If we were indeed the best teams and Until There was a lot of a lot of emphasis on maybe more so than would be today with the playoffs. And all that type thing which comes really at the very end of the season and conference championship games so I know it was kind of a cold day. for oklahoma and Leading real pleasant out there but it wasn't it was playable and And so i think we started a game Trying to throw the ball a little bit and having a lot of success. And so you'd think we would have been the better throwing team taghi and rogers and and Pretty pretty good passing game on the other hand you spec oklahoma to have better day running and it was kind of the reverse we We ended up running the ball really well that day. Jeff kinney at about five terribly jerseys torn off of him and it was a big load and milton to the ball. Really well against said any john henderson was fine receiver and we were smart enough to change our secondary around moving our safety to corner in our our best corner to safety which we thought we had to do to stop the the option the quarterback in the pitch and that didn't work for well so it was a little bit of topsy turvy game but Kind of back and forth and we eventually established the running game. Well and i've got to let you know the other guy down the hall that that day up in the press box. Tom was berry switzer. He was the offensive coordinator for the sooners. And he he concocted that game plan to which you refer the only regret he's ever voiced was that he didn't get the ball to greg pruitt more pruitt. They're all american only karrada ten times But you've got to be impressed with what oklahoma was doing from an offensive standpoint in that game all right who's making the who's making the decisions over there for them Well yeah i guess Coordinators are part of it but Eventually the players have to execute and the difficult thing for us. I was really the first time we felt. I guess maybe the second time and saw the wishbone but the hard thing about playing oklahoma was had really full days to get ready for an entirely. Different animal and the wishbone in terms of defense and My kissing celebrates pretty creative and always felt that you had to do something entirely different. They hadn't seen before eventually We sell them to saying. Hey we're going to play our base defense and just play it better. And i think the last time we played the wishbone. They only had maybe a hundred and fifty yards of offense three points but at that time early on it was it was always a big threat. And and they did have they put was was the best player. And of course. On that punt returner johnny's crew had johnny data right into didn't make the tackle two guys there and you'd say well johnny sort of fair caught. Johnny never fair and never did and. That's an amazing when you look at what happens today. i'd say fifty sixty percent of the punts fair caught. You know. I speaking of the defense Against that wishbone. Two things are indelible to me a lot more than to actually but one amazing the amazing performance of rich glover in that game and willie harper williams talked about the amazing discipline that he showed he said it was tough for him to stay home on that assignment because the temptation was to go out and nail this guy but he knew if he did they could get through there. I mean it was just magnificent day time. Are you going to be going down to this game. You know. I had planned to. But i've had some issues come up a little bit with With nancy health wise. So i'm stay home and watch it here. we'll give our best. I hope everything's okay. I'll do that. he bet. Yeah well i'm sure you have with your your right rich risk lover. Unbelievable remarkable twenty twenty tackles and the thing they were trying to do is which one guy tom. Brian the center and It was an all american by the way. Yeah you couldn't block recover one guy. It was impossible and and he and jacobson played well. And and a lot of guys. That lilly harper was great. But you had to be defensor disciplined rewrite because somebody had to be on the fullback. Somebody had quarterback had fish and want somebody started chasing somebody. They thought had the ball sin. You're in trouble and so it was. it was a unique style of offense wonderful memories And i've let you know what. I'm glad we're playing. I know that the teams are in different places now and nebraska's a big underdog. But i still think this'll be special tom. Thanks so much for being with us this morning. Okay thank you guys bet. Have a good one. Tom osborne here on. Kabc morning news at twenty two tackles nose guard. I've never seen anything like that. And you know the funny thing about it is about that game which spawned few a few things that maybe we didn't notice at the time. The first one was oklahoma. Started mimicking nebraska's defense. After that game they started playing a very similar style of defense. They just got a lot better defensive lineman when the sellman rather showed up and we started and of course. Tom adjusted his offense to Accommodate what oklahoma was able to do and we started mimicking what they were doing on offense. I can't believe they stopped us. I can't i should give him the ball one more time..

"Kill me. W D. B a one. Oh 73 FM and am 5 80. Orlando's news and to Taliban has to make a fundamental decision. As the Taliban going to attempt to Be able to unite and provide for Well being of the people of Afghanistan, which no one group has ever done since before you leave for hundreds of years. And if it does, it's going to need everything from additional help in terms of economic assistance, trade in the whole range of things. Taliban has said. We'll see whether they mean it or not, they're seeking legitimacy. Really there seeking legitimacy? Are they going to try to be a part of the world community? I'm sure they're going to donate a portion of their tax revenue, uh to various causes digging Wells in Africa. Thomas Jocelyn, senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, and Senior editor of Long War Journal, which you simply have to read, and I always do. He joins us now. Hey, Tom. Brian. How you doing, boy? I gotta tell you, there's a lot of nonsense, even baked into that short, little you could be just played and you know, he just got things wrong. Even that little sound bites. Unbelievable. First off. Do you think the Taliban thought about it and may look back at the after action report after they were ousted night from when they took power 96 or 2001 and thought one of the things we did wrong? We weren't welcoming enough to the world community. Do you think they've changed? You know, they absolutely have done after action reports. But it's not in any of the ways that President Biden or people that think along those same lines have concluded they don't care about international legitimacy other than On their own terms, other than on their own strict religious and ideological terms. They've built an Islamic camera. They restored Islam again, Marie and I think it's important to note what President Biden just sit there and an audio clip. One reason why I was kind of chuckling about it is because It shows these ignorant of the 19 nineties. You know, there has been a party that united most of Afghanistan under one banner. That was the Islamic camera, Afghanistan, the Taliban regime. They did the United 85% 90% of the country, maybe a little bit more. Under their authority, so the idea that nobody could possibly ever unite Afghanistan the jihadis have and they've done it on their own strict religious and ideological terms, and they have an authoritarian regime in place to rule once again, and they don't care about Western norms or western legitimacy. I mean, they even they even want this in English. Brian, you can go there English English website where they just ran a piece in the last 24 hours, saying liberalism has nothing to do with women's rights. We couldn't care less about what the West says about women's rights. I mean, The idea that the president did states would still be you know, flirting with the idea of the Taliban cares about his version. International legitimacy After all these years, it's just absurd. So I want you to hear what he said to about American prestige in power and how we're viewed by our allies Cut one. What's your message to the Americas partners around the world to have criticized Not the withdrawal, but the conduct of that withdrawal and made it made them question America's credibility On the world stage. I have seen no question of our credibility from our allies around the world. Is that true? Thomas Jessel flat boss, the British Parliament and you can see leaders. The German government have questioned us very openly, you know, and and said that there's been a lack of leadership here by President Biden administration. You can see you know. Another example that the French right now, according to multiple reports, are providing logistical assistance to the resistance that's trying to prevent The Taliban totalitarian regime from taking over the last remnants of what we could call Afghan freedom in the country, and America is nowhere to be seen in that fight, and the French are leading there. So America is has failed here in a way that is traumatic. I think that it goes across administrations, but certainly President Biden owns a slap act. So it looks like macron in particular, by the way, that's Massoud and the former vice president Salah and he is in the northern part and it looks like the Taliban are moving with our equipment. To stamp them out before they get too big McCrone told by not to abandon his Afghan allies in a phone call, But the White House scrubbed it from the summary, uh, and said Macron had operated his US counterpart over his sudden withdrawal from Afghanistan, which has triggered chaos as Americans and Afghans granted visas to flee. To flee from the Taliban. It read. President Macron spoke with US President Joe Biden this evening about the situation Afghanistan. It didn't say how angry was. Why is it Thomas? Our allies, the NATO allies. Not only were they not read in, they did not want to leave yet. They thought it was work to do. They are worried about the refugees. They are worried about the terrorists. Why are we not? Well, look there a couple of things here. You can make the case that America after all these years, all the blood treasure spent. She got Afghanistan and no longer have any kind of significant footprint, believing I can make the argument against the ongoing war effort there, I would say probably better than anybody because I've been dealing with the failures and documenting the failures for many years. However, even if all you wanted to do was get out of Afghanistan, you had to come up with a better plan than it had to come up with some plan to have some idea of what you were doing. And you know when President Biden announced in April that the that the withdraw the full withdrawal was going to happen, Think curious happened. Everybody missed at the time, he says. The U. S is getting out entirely. But then they kept a big course of embassy personnel and other American Americans in place. They didn't evacuate them right away. They had time right then and there and I said I said Right, then they're very loudly. Wait a minute. Get out. Get out. Now. There's no reason to wait. Don't keep anybody in Kabul for sure. Because this thing's coming and they kept those people in place. It didn't make any sense. Basically, they also gave up as you know, has been well documented, gave up the Bagram air base, which was a big tactical mistake. They didn't have any plan in place to provide contractor support or assistance to the Afghan government in the fight against the Taliban. Now look We all know that the Afghan government, the Afghan security forces failed in a big way. There's no excuses we can make for them. But even the little the few tactical things that they could have done released all the advances of jihadist and make it easier departure for the Americans work done. And so this is really, I think, just shows a brutal, brutal level of incompetence. Thomas. Tell me if you see these parallels, and you live it every day, So feel free to say I'm wrong. When Afghan when Iraq fell well, the first time we pulled everybody out. It's not so much the Iraqis you want to fight. They had no commanders had the leadership. We have to provide the backbone, let alone the air support. And then they started fighting again. And they kept him about Baghdad. They repel them. They you get the Kurds involved, and we know what happened. Afghanistan able was able to hold because we had to go back. When we leave. We were their commanders. We were there colonels and captains and lieutenants and when we leave well, along with the air power, despite a handful of people who just wanted to fight, the odds was so overwhelming. The threats were so real..

"Have in your. You're thinking about retiring your thirties or forties. These people aren't adult children that you're worried about economic outpatient care. These are actually dependent. These are people that you're still paying for their education. You're still paying for you. Know the shoes and the tennis lessons and whatever else is the way the doctor's visits so that's a little different. There's just a lot of contingencies. You just don't know about your wife yet to truly be to understand what's coming your way in your thirties. I get why. It's appealing to folks in the thirties. Because we talk about tom brian. The third is the messy middle. And i just resonate so much with that because every day just feels like a new sort of firestorm and it's a wonderful firestorm but it's hard with career stuff in social stuff and family stuff and it's pulling all directions in sometimes you think man what a break. I want to exit. I just want to leave. I just wanna get out of the quote unquote rat race. One of the questions. I always ask my folks who are thinking about this. Have you tested it. had you like. Have you actually practiced. Where have you taken a month off of work. Do you work in a place. We take a week off of work. Do you know that that's actually what you want. Are you just making. Are you trying to come up with a long term solution to a very short term problem. Well and i think a lot of those some of that's emotional and always i'm a very analytical short and that's one of the i want to challenge anybody who's thinking they're part of our movement. There are some basic core things. You need to understand about what goes into retirement plan. Now we're gonna give you the numbers because we've run that for you but you still ought to do some some soul-searching data-gathering for yourself. You know we talk about it. All the time begin with the end in mind on starting that part. But there's let's put some numbers this and put some thoughts into like. Where do you wanna live in retirement. I think this is really interesting. Because we're talking about thirty year olds trying to figure out where they wanna live for the next sixty years or fifty years. It's really difficult. We're sitting down with fifty five and sixty year old saying hey. Where do you wanna live in retirement. It's it's even difficult for folks that much later in life to answer those questions. Well how much harder is that for. Someone whose kids aren't growing yet don't have grandbabies and have it figured out all those things. It's a really really difficult question to answer. That has a huge impact on the sustainability of your retirement dreams so it was funny as those the things of where you're going to live and how you're going to live bleeds right into this. Next question is how much we spend everything you just said has variables to it and it's hard to know all those things firmly in your thirties. And then i always ask the question because we're gonna talk about when we get in the forties. I actually haven't experienced share or an experience share from a friend of the show who is part of fire. Who did retire early. But this is a question for somebody. Who's in the thirties. What we do occupy your day. I think that is a very deliberate or powerful thing. And i want to know how many of you who are considering are. Have you done the deep dive on your budget. Do you know where every dollar is going. Because how can you create a plan without knowing exactly what will be required. I think often. When i ask folks we're thinking about retirement no matter their age and i say okay well. How much do you spend retirement. They'll just off the cuff. Oh six thousand dollars a month okay. Great was that composed of and like. Oh i don't know. I just i kind of know what my paychecks on. It seems to work. I no no no no we got. If you're not going to work every day you're gonna be doing something else. Is that something else going to cost money. And i actually want you if you're going to retire this early. You need to be line by line on the spreadsheet of what you're spending is gonna look like and then you need to make the assumption. Okay what if it's twenty percent more than that. What if it's twenty percent less than that and how much wiggle room and to have. I think you brought this up on our show meeting as you need to define the unknown unknown and we even had what happens if you get sick. What happens if you have family issues. What if of an oopsy and more kids choi what happens like guys. I will tell you having a special needs child. You don't go into having a child thinking that you're going to have a special needs is just you go and when that happens instead of one retirement you go to to retirements when you know. They can never live on their own. That is a big like whoa. I mean so you gotta you gotta prepare for the unknown unknowns. And that's why. I get nervous with people who tell me they're retiring thirties. But let's go ahead and start putting some numbers to this and thinking about because maybe you're not retiring thirties. Maybe you're thirty something that once they're retiring in your forties indies. Or even you know maybe early sixties. So what does that look like so remember. Here's sort of the assumptions. Here's a construct that if you're going to retire early the earlier you retire the the lower your safe withdrawal rate needs to be so if you're going to retire at fifty five year thinking three and a half percent of your entire forty five you're thinking three percent and always said is wanna take an individual who started working in every year they get about a one and a half percent increase in pay and when they exit the workforce their goal is to replace sixty percent of their immediately prior to retirement incomes. They wanna live on about sixty percent of what they made them retiring. Well if you're an age thirty person standing out there and you think man. I wanna retired. I'm starting for zero. How much do i need to say. Well if i'm thirty. And i want to retire at thirty five not possible. I gotta save five hundred percent of my income so it's just not possible. It's not realistic. If i want to save at forty it's still not realistic. There's not enough time in that decade for you to really be able to do that. To exit the workforce. So then. If i'm aged thirty and i wanna retire at forty five. I have to save almost one hundred percent of what i make. do you see the. Here's something i've noticed when we were doing all this guys you need. You need at least fifteen twenty. If not twenty five years to let your money work let me tell you a stat. Because this was something we did in show prep. The typical millionaire reaches that level at age forty nine. I think that's interesting that we all graduate college at twenty two. We reach millionaire status at forty nine. That is exactly twenty seven years of your assets building this something to understand about the power of compounding interesting..

We have about 52 foot by four foot raised beds, each of which has a different type of corn, beans, squash, and this season. We're monitoring. Growth. The performance. For purposes of community driven guarding programs and then also improving food, security and food, sovereignty, putting some of these practices and methods into the hands of people. That could benefit from them. We're relying a lot on leaf compost as the primary substrate for growing and that can be turned into fine tooth for growing crops with some strategic soil amendments, most notably seaweed meal various Ah Organic nitrogen source is different strategic mineral amendments and we form these wind Rose of compost in early spring mix in a lot of our soil. So basically the Kobe 19 mutual aid garden is Combining the resources and expertise to different community members in one come in space and then prototyping and having case study gardens. Two massively expanded planning future. They know till that we'd like to explore going forward in this space. It's called new Till relay cropping where you plant next craft under the canopy of the existing crap, and it's sort of incubates and stays latent and alive until you harvest the canopy. The mutual aid garden came to be as a result of a group of researchers and students and community members, all converging on about an acre of former College of AG and life sciences. Research landed Eagle Heights, and during 2019 Tom, Brian and me ran a sweet potato container production experiment out here, during which we observe that The soil is well primed for fine rich crop production. We decided to capitalize upon this soil resource and turn it into something that would help close the hunger gap in the community as a result of DeKoven, 19 pandemic and its economic ramifications, So in early spring we'd set about with shovels, rakes, and he Art into it. We could find Indian converting about, say, half an acre total into mixed crop production for public cultural research trials. And then added roughly 1/4 acre of potatoes that were donated as certified Colorado grown seed from seed Savers Exchange as a Community Cove in 19 Garden Response.

"Than four years after jumping to Janice Henderson group. And that's a lemberg business flash. Tom and Paul Karen. Thank you so much. All right. I guess we can all agree. It wasn't the best Super Bowl of all time. Maybe wasn't even the best halftime show of all time. But I'm guessing when we go to the sports books, we're going to see some good numbers. So to help us break it down as Brian Egger Brian's, a senior analyst at Bloomberg intelligence covering gaming and lodging, so Brian, you know, it's a big big year. Maybe the biggest day the year for sports betting had the numbers come in yesterday. So we won't see the final numbers till this afternoon. But the likelihood is that in Nevada books broke last year's record about one hundred and sixty million in so-called handle or dollars wagered. And that's spite the fact that you have seven new states this year where sports betting is legal compared to just. So on. So wagering side. It was good. I think on the revenue side for the books. It's more of a mix story. Okay. So to me that's amazing at seven new states. Allowing sports betting New Jersey being one of them and the radio stations are flooded with ads for two to gamble. But despite that more money was spent in Vegas. Yeah. The MGM book director is kind of estimating or roughly speculating that their book was up about ten percent in handle versus last year again dollars. Wagered all the senses that the town on the lot of people that are a bit more than last year the over under. I'm not very good at this, folks. I'm going to be careful, but the over under is how many points are scored. Right. Exactly. So they're so far off the Mark this year is that good for the companies that arrange our bets. Yes. Or is the vet Bill? I mean, the dog my dog at home. My dog at home. He's like he's done. He's like toast. Yeah. The the best outcome for the books would have been that the pats one which they did. And the game went under the point total, which you did however also would have been better if the pats did not cover the point spread, and they did they don't cover the points. But I know that much time. Yeah. So the fact that it was under that you're looking at like, a sixteen point total compared to a the Vegas line of fifty six. The fact that went under is a good thing for the books. Does it just discreet it went under? That's all that matters. Or is does the way under part of it matter betting, y'all addition to the over under which is kind of that straight. What the point total was in this case it was under which is good for Vegas. There's all these proposition bets on individual outcomes and some of those actually maroon five take off their shirt that one. Well, things like get on nuts. No touchdown in the first half paid one hundred one no touchdown by fifty to one. Now, you got might. MVP paid thirty two one. So some of those profits off lot of lucky betters, but overall was kind of a low scoring game. And that helps the fact that it was the under one so Tom Brian just mentioned before. Whale came in at the last minute. Yeah. What happens if a what's the whale and be as well. This is better X. It's sort of like in the court cases where it's the anonymity. Suspected better. This is better apparently wagered three point eight million across the town on the Rams and lost two million of that reportedly at the MGM that's using sources like these in another. So we'll find out, but it sounds like there was one very big better out there. Awale spent almost four million and lost which the books are happy. Will we ever know who that person is if we ever will legally disclosed it's I don't know if I don't know if. At that may be permanently. This is going to be in every state. I mean is the future our jersey has it going to be in fifty? Are we going to be like England, we're we will Trump's that. I think right now we're legal in eight states, including the vodka versus one last year. I think New York and Massachusetts are on the cusp of legalizing sports betting. And so you're gonna you're gonna see this ongoing ever since the may supreme court case that basically got rid of the federal wagering, Dan, you're going to see more and more states do this. I think it's likely social attitudes. Are we going to be able to bet like Democratic Party candidates are what Mr. Trump does etc? As interesting. Here's a rule Nevada Rican place a lot of proposition bets on outcomes. But I think politics is carved out, but in the UK, I think it can do that. Are we going to Brexit? I mean, Farrell bets on everything. But proposition bets in various outcomes and in game betting that was going on yesterday. It's quite quite a different thing than a year. A couple million dollars at the end of the Rams apparently. Yeah. Money came in the weight. And I think you'll see this interesting. Geographic disparity where I think a lot of money came to Vegas and of the pats money went to city of guessing how how important are sports FOX these days to the casinos. I mean, it's I like going there. It's a lot of fun. A lot of TV's a lot of games. But yeah, it's really more is a traffic driver than a revenue source. It's only about two percent of the revenues in Vegas. Super Bowl weekend. The all the Ansari food and beverage entertainments restaurants casino revenue is an important ancillary benefit of having all these people in town. Depend on the game. Interesting. But it's Brian's been telling me that it's really not about Las Vegas. Anyone anything about the global gaming business? It's asia. It's macau. Singapore is still the case with those markets still driving the decals still in revenue terms, you know, six times the size of Vegas. What's happened in the US? It's now a true national industry dumb question. Can. I bet patriots Rams Moco. Why not? I don't I don't know. If you. Yeah. I I don't know if the interest is there. I know you could bet one hundreds of millions on that's for sure. Sports betting, certainly as European UK favorite. All right. So anyway, so again, not the greatest game. Maybe not the greatest halftime show. But still a lot of money being spent and we'll get you back when my says casino companies report their earnings, Brian Egger brand covers all things gaming lodging for Bloomberg intelligence joins us in our Bloomberg. "Good for Kevin Wyatt's, great for the jets and for the organization and for. Kevin who? Was that good? He was that good. Kevin. Why was that good? So it's nice to get that recognition for him and gillibrand who I worked with over at serious NFL radio for wild. Did a lot of work with skill in my time there so good see gillibrand kit and finally the Cowboys executive Gilles in his mid eighties. So glad that he was able to get that honor as well today and NFL. Has eight new members in its hall of fame. Eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six. Let's get some calls in Robin. Mass path is next on the fan. Rob. Chris. How are you tonight? All good. What do you got for us? All right. Chris if the Knicks somehow get the number one taking get Zaire Williamson, do you think that will entice, you know, two major freedoms to come here. Yeah. It makes it that much more likely. Yeah. I think they've got to sell everything. No. They've got to sell vision. They gotta make these players think that that they know what they're doing and that's going to be a hard sell. They don't have resumes for that Perry has never been a general manager before so mills mills his track record is awful and Dolan his Dolan and his track record is awful. So they've got to convince these guys not only that you know, that that they have three fifths of the puzzle. If in fact, they've got Williamson and two super free agents also that they know how to the supplemental what they're gonna do how they're going to do it who's going to coach them at cetera. So there's a lot of sales that has to go on. And you wonder whether the Knicks have the judgment to do it. I mean, that's where my concern is right now is you know, they can be what what has to be realised. I think rob is that these players. Can go anywhere and be rich. So it's not just hey get to play at the garden, and hey, you get to play with Kyrie Irving and Zion. Williamson it's I can play with good players and a lot of places. Why should I come here? So I don't know how good they're going to be at selling the revitalization of the Knicks. Maybe these players ego will jump in there. And they'll say, hey, I want to be a part of it. I know I've got two other pieces. Besides me Zion. Williamson and I got whoever the other free agent is I'm willing to take my chances. That's what make fans have to hope that that they want to be a part of revitalizing dead franchise. You know, I just I hope so and and you know, they don't get the number one pick. You wonder if they might try to say some assets, they up there and get it. Because my biggest fear is nobody's gonna come and L Anthony O B R is funny. Then you better find something else to do with your winter or move over to the Brooklyn nets. Because. Yeah. That is a fear. God. Like if it wasn't the Knicks. I'd like to think that they already know. You know, they got something in their pocket. But being the Knicks I'm afraid that. Maybe they don't. Normally, I would think they're not doing this without having something in their pocket. Just doesn't make sense otherwise. But the other side of that coin is. You don't know what it would take for people to stop going to Knicks games? It's like we talked about with how much beer costs games unless you bump up against a number or people stop buying it. You don't know how much you can sell. You. Don't know what the best number is. You know, it's supply demand. Same for parking thirty dollars a space thirty five dollars a space, forty dollars a space. How do you know when people will stop? And say, that's it. I've reached my limit. And the Knicks have been awful for a few years now and people continue to go. So. The question. You have to ask yourself. Is. What are they risking? It's like I often say with the NFL all the things Goodell does doesn't matter because their revenues go up every year the Knicks revenues go up every year. So when when does that stop how bad do they have to be for people to stop going, the Knicks games? And that is a question. It's very hard to answer in a lot of other markets. It wouldn't be. But here it's a different animal all Hillsborough. New Jersey's next on the fan. Hi, pal. Yeah. Kristie pleasure. Speaking with you. Thanks your year. You know, I listen to the fan all the time all day long. I'm in retirement, you know, and I'm big fan of the whole station. But what makes some of the other host so confident that the Knicks can do anything. I mean, they haven't had a good team since Riley's group, and that was what about fifteen years ago or something? Northern that. Yeah. That's that's my concern. Is that it isn't? It isn't enough. I mean, it's a lot. Because the way the league is built. It's a lot to have great players, but it isn't enough to get by everybody. If you want to win forty five or fifty games and be a four or five seat. If that's your ultimate goal, then they can get their even being poorly run with great players. But if you want to compete at the upper level if you wanna play in the Eastern Conference finals. Is going to take more than a couple of players and a high draft pick to get them there because the competing to and they're in good, Shannon. Nick management has to do that. Well as well. I don't see it. I just don't see. No. I don't think that the two can be separated. I don't think you can. You know, you can say that just throw the ball out on the court having kyri Durant and Zion is enough. There are a lot of good players in the league. And the Celtics aren't going to spend the off season trying to get worse. And neither of the Sixers of the bucks or the raptors or the nets for that matter. Nobody's gonna sit around waiting for the Knicks to pass them. They're going to be more motivated if the Knicks are able to make themselves a contender. So I just think we're a little too optimistic look on the other hand. And this is why it makes some sense. You're you're you're in the basement. So if you can if there's ten floors, and you're in the basement, and you can get to the sixth floor. It seems like an awful lot. Right. So maybe I'm old, and I want the Knicks to be. You know, a contender not just a forty five or fifty win team. And I'm asking for too much. But. Given what the New York knick fan has been given the last few years being able to get to the fifth or sixth floor is a hell of a lot better than what they've been. They've had to this point. And if they had kept porzingas this possibility wouldn't be out there. So we went from no hope to some hope which I understand people are happy about they probably should be happy about that. But it's still going to have to be pulled off by people you don't trust. And that's the bottom line. The Knicks are gonna pull this off. They're going to pull it off with people. You don't trust. They haven't earned your trust. Dave in Marlboro, New Jersey next on the fan. Hey, Chris, how're you doing? Dave. What's up? Well, you said Scott Perry wasn't a GM. He wasn't in Orlando and his assistant, and and he okay. But he's he's up. Sorry. There was nothing that he didn't Orleans. Oh, anything in a positive way towards the franchise. They bring him in here without any pedigree whatsoever to be GM. That's first and foremost. Secondly. Listen to all these calls. About with passionate knick fans had been traded ninety percent of the phone calls would have been about Super Bowl. So I think the jury still out on Perry. What kind a way to screw up the number one pick. We always do. See with the and curse. It again. Yeah. I mean, I mean, the concern really is can they? You know, the pressure's off on your awful. I mean, let's face. It. The pressure's off Fidel it's off Todd Bowles when you're awful, and your players aren't regarded as good then the coaching doesn't matter when you move up and you get good players now all the pressure changes. Now, I Mr. chef we got you all the ingredients the meal better be pretty damn good because we just filled your refrigerator. So the general manager and the coach now are in a different world. They're not forgotten who cares group. Now, it matters. What you do? Okay. When Todd Bowles what the buffalo four years ago. It mattered win the game. You're in the playoffs. Lose your out from that day on he never played a game that mattered. So who cared how he coached says Dale who cares? How he coaches? Most of you're hoping they loses. You can't judge guy that way so all the pressure turns to a different type of pressure, a better type of pressure, the kind of Tom Brian Cashman and Aaron Boone that kind of pressure. Rather than the kind that was on Todd Bowles. Or david. It's a new pressure. And then it matters. Who's you who your coaches it matters? What kind of moves your general manager makes to fill out your roster and make it better than Boston better than Milwaukee better than Toronto? Better than the Sixers. It matters. Then so welcome to a whole new world where you're really going to be able to evaluate your guys because if they get players. Then every little move matters. Every little game matters every two minutes a fourth quarter. They don't execute. They don't make a play. And they're missing a guy. It all matters. It's a whole new pressure. When that happens marks that Nyla next on the fan. I'm mark. Doing today grass. Everything's good. What do you have for us? I'm not gonna what do you call it? I'm not gonna respond with the next thing. I'm sorry done to the death. And I'm not going to respond to any of the Super Bowl stuff doesn't my Mets. I really wanna talk about mostly mostly with me on my. I don't know how many how similar they are in the what do you call it? How similar they are with the the way things are, you know, they're the resurgence of shall we actually say. Why? The islanders. Well, think about. They need one more piece for both. They don't have berry berry trots or Lula Morella. No. I I understand that what I'm talking about as a team how they doing forget about the management management has been awful for both sides. It's not. The islanders. Well, that's what I'm saying for many many years ago, but it's still lawful with the Mets. When you compare Brodie van wagon and a Mickey Callaway. To Lula Morello and and trots come on. Mickey Callaway hasn't proven a damn thing and Bernie van wagon and hasn't had a chance one way or the other. So it's a bad comparison. You're talking about guys that have one cops in their league both the coach and the general manager. And then you're talking about Mickey Callaway and Brodie van wagon. So I hate the comparison. I don't think the two are at all close to each other. And I hope the Mets could play inspired as the islanders have. But I'll have to see it to believe it. More phone calls coming up on the fan. I know a thing about high performance athletics, and you expect me to give it to you straight. So when I was hurting when I had an knee problem. I had more than a few of them. I went to the best. I went to the hospital special surgery the same places players from eighty different professional teams in the NFL the NBA major league baseball and the NHL like them. I didn't go there because it's.

"Well, Mark Wallace. They wanna get tested. He was the last guy to be tested. He refused to do it for a long time. Finally, we did it. Yeah. But there's little bit. You know, it's twenty years. So even my you forget things, you know, like. So what does he do now out city? I mean, I was shocked when Brennan found him three or four years ago because honestly, if if that was my daughter, and she was trying to be positive because I will kill the guy, but he's still alive, and we find him in Vegas as he still like around the adult business though. I don't know why he does. I don't think. So. Yeah. Even like zero famous mill talent, Tom Brian, Matt. Matt sorry, Thom Brian Tom Byron, Tom what does he known for? I mean this guy. He. It's he's been tons of movies since he was eighteen and he's he was in the business thirty years. And you know, I think it's driving Uber. There's nothing wrong with it. But. If you don't take care of your personal finance? It's not like, I could judge them. I mean the bashing too. But. There are people who they're having a hard time making transition from performing the business Bologne time in like you guys have very successful comedians. But you know, there's other comedians, you know, over the years, you know, they're struggling or mental. Yeah. Yeah. There's a time limit on everything in every form of entertainment. You know, you need kind of an exit strategy. Sure. So that makes sense. I'm actually going to go from I'm planning from comedy into the adult business. Oh opposite as a performance, but I'm gonna get into that. Like that dad older. Dad porn is that a genre? Yet. It's very popular. Actually, dad stuff will like I'm saying like, I'm I'm probably going to stand up. I'm hoping another ten to twenty years. And then it'll be like why tend to you you could do it for forty more years common. But it's he's physically it breaks down to tour. So it's better to segue. There's a joke in Syria serious. I think I think about I'm thirty. I'm gonna be forty right? So if I do stand up for twenty years, I'll be sixty right? That's that's a perfect time to kinda like wind down the touring and be like, I'm gonna get into some hardcore scenes. I'll be fully gray by and I'll just be like, I'll I'll play older, you know, I'll be like. I got it. Go to the bathroom, and then like get like the nurse. That's interesting. Yeah. There was this really old Japanese guy. He he had one of his speech stays porn. He was having problem with it. And no one at the retail store in Japan with help him. So he actually traveled to that your company when he showed up this is like ten fifteen years his tape. Yeah. Having trouble with my tape. Yeah. Literally complaint. I'm gonna travel. So he just happened to show up and you're making porno. So he started watching and whoever's the male talent was having problem. So they asked the old guy. He must be sixty some years old. Do you want to try it? So he's been fucking ever since. Then why? Yeah. This is a dream. Tell me more inspiring stories like this awesome. You could do that. Or I was thinking we could franchise Morton's BA franchise owners. Good idea or whatever. Whenever you want laughter. Instead of going more traditional like we have the studio space. I start shooting like content here, and then put it up on my own site and people have to subscribe or buy directly from me. This is so funny to me I was in Vegas over the weekend for the foreign avian and worked. It was great extra coup kill that. She was great. "Brian with only on FOX in the Fox Sports app back here with the former eagle used to live in Brooklyn still does we're going viral Jared Goff and the Rams are going back to the Super Bowl for the first time since the two thousand one season. So what's the question on everyone's mind? What will they be wearing? He no longer have to wonder with Andrew Whitworth leak in the throwback jerseys. They'll wear for Super Bowl fifty three. We like them. They should listen the insanity of winning Super Bowl New Jersey's. And then the next year changing the uniform that never made any sense Houston Rockets did a similar thing once upon a time they actually ended up winning back to back despite it. That's the issue. You have they won the Super Bowl ninety nine. And then the next year unveiled a new uniform. They're just because they go sell some more. We got Brian Westbrook throwback. All good look in jersey right there at his that was a good game for me. No. No love that game too. You know, Gino what she didn't that game? It was it was a good one. I I don't know. Exactly. In touch sounds against the Detroit Lions, right? Feel like a lot of people had great games against the Troy lines. I'm not really into throwbacks, though, really not don't like the color schemes and everything I'm fashioned. That's what she told me. I love you, Chris. I'm old fashioned. Therefore, I don't like the old those old. Okay. Those are two to retro for you. I got you. England, Patriots Schuessel's be here because you smart, your unexpectable, man. How do you define an incredible run where the pats are heading to their third straight Super Bowl and their fourth in five years as we like to say in sports that is so good. A lot of that has to do with their edge. Preparing for the game. Tom Brady said they added eight plays the morning of the title game. And they use four or five of them in the game. All successfully, according to Tom, Brian how impressive was the pats approach. I the chiefs just that alone doing that on the morning of the game and having that whole offense implementing those plays is impressive. I remember playing Wednesday Thursday Friday, you're putting in place, you're practicing, you're running them. So that you don't have to make those types of plays changes the day of the game. So you make a couple of just. Fail. Maybe once for Friday hits. We're locked throw some stuff out like we call it. Leave it on the floor. Right. Gonna run those plays. But yeah, I mean, it's hard to at eight plays and say, hey, we're gonna run these places you have to know him. But that also kind of tells you about Bill check he wants smart disciplined players that are not gonna make a lot of mistakes in critical games critical situations like the AFC championship games..
