"So unbeknownst to unbeknownst to the guy in the grave, the guy who was supposed to dig him up is just keeping the money. The money, which I was like, yeah, maybe you should, I don't know. Maybe there should have been a close or something. Yeah, maybe, 'cause that's a lot of trust to put in one fucking guy. I would say. But there you go. And he's waiting a scratching and it's kind of like that film buried with Ryan Reynolds. And these guys come in, they get the grave digger to dig him up. And he literally leaps out of the grave like a vampire and screams his friend's name. The two morticians run off. And they're like, oh, fucking out, what's that? What's a zombie of vampire? And then the grave digger calls him back and says, you know what? What he'll adds are killed it and he's killed he's killed the guy. So the guy is now actually dead. So he's like sorry about the head. You don't have to work for that bit. But that's basically the story. Again, I told Tom and Jerry. Probably. I'm sure the two guys are called Tom and Jerry. That would not surprise me. It's a very cartoony kind of gothic grotesque one, but again, I don't think it's one of the stronger segments. But yeah, it's fine. It didn't set my world on fire, how about you? I can't remember it, so obviously not. Yeah, clearly, clearly not that memorable. As you're talking about then, I am getting flashbacks of little things because they were like, you know, they want to work on different bodies, and they go away for people to die in that case. Yeah, exactly. They need something fresh. So very much like reanimator or something like that. They need fresh funds. 'cause I can't remember that much about it. Yeah. Well, we both watch these back to back, didn't we? So, because you hadn't seen vault and you hadn't seen tails. So you did it. The opposite way I did it. So I did vault first and then tails. You did tails and then bolt. So yeah. And then the final one, I think, is probably the best segment in this with Tom baker, and the kind of during the kind of framing device. They're kind of teased that Tom baker keeps people are like, oh, tell us your story. You look interesting. Tell us your story. And he's like, no, not yet. Not to yet. No. In typical Tom baker voice. Tom bacon. He does have that. And he just have that very long wispy beard as well. Yes. Not the best beard. He's almost like a cross between two and one zoom image. Now that is a show I'd watch. I know. I like this, this one. For me, it kind of had undertones of like a Dorian gray type and definitely yeah. So basically, Tom baker's character, I think he's gone more. He's poor, he's living in Haiti..

"The road fingers crossed so just Especially now that they've also recast carry. It certainly certainly opens the door. Possibly as long as tom baker health holds up. That's the big thing right there. So that's that's our main concern right now. I think all right jimmy things. Yeah this is a few stories that nicholas berg's actually asked for more time to work on the music because apparently is a. He is a complete lover of revenge cyberman. He wanted to get the same kind of kind of upbeat tempos had and just working in like the stuff that he's got. Now bring it into bring it into the into this story along with some of the old cattle catchy little poppy theme tunes and everything you that are kind of synonymous with revenge cyberman and you can hear your year elvin of revenge but then you also hear other elements like say like sort of a ryan. Oh yeah yeah the kind of merge sort of ryan's one of my favorites. Yeah you know. That's another one we talked about. But you know it's paul mcgann's second audio doctor for big finish. So good so yeah. I never thought of that until you mentioned. But i think you're absolutely right about that connection there john. Yeah i'm not sure who do who the composer was for this. But i thought they did a really great job nailing the era so. I definitely feels like that first. Tom baker season. You know the series. He's in twelve music so Points nicholas breaks for being kind of a fan boy about that and trying to you know get that a little more on target right nothing else. You got some home right now see. It was nice to see them. Bring back The fact that radiation is harmful to the siren that we i saw way back in planet right. Yes those are the original script and not to mention. We also get the five hundred year diary in the story as well when you which actually factors in pretty heavily. I think yeah the yeah. They talked about that. Yeah all right so three topics today so very simple. I think to break this down the topic number one. Let's talk of course are tartus team. So we're talking the fourth doctor and we also wanna talk. Obviously say miller sarah jane smith and christopher naylor harry sullivan and really curious to get your thoughts since i know. You're a old school tom baker fan. What you thought of.

"Killing of jailer. John Bowling signified the increasing danger of being aligned with one of the two warring factions in the Baker Howard conflict. It was the longest and most violent blood feud in in America lasting nearly a century in Clay County Kentucky. The blood feud was dominated by two powerful families and clay the Garrard's and the whites but it soon ruined ruin the bakers and the Howard's close kin who became the foot soldiers in this war over political control and precious natural resources while the civil war brought a rare pause. Hawes in the family fighting it also devastated. The salt works in the region. The whites and the GARRARD's both fought on the side of the Union in voluntarily surrendered their valuable salt wells for for destruction to keep them out of the hands of the confederacy but the whites and Garrard's were wealthy and powerful enough to withstand such a blow to their business there baker and Howard Kin. We're not after the war. The bakers and the howards began fighting over land to regain their financial footing. This led to the bloodiest period of all a phased in the long-running running feud that threatened to bring the rival families to the brink of destruction. This is the second episode in our two part series revenge of bad Tom Baker in eighteen. Forty Nine William. Banker walked into his house and came across a startling sight. His wife Matilda stood over the body of a man drenched. In Blood William knew his wife had been having an affair with a man but it wasn't clear why she had bludgeoned him to death. Still there was no time to think Williams uh-huh pride would not let him allow his wife to be arrested for murder the pair wrap the man in a blanket and pulled him out to the edge of the woods where they buried him in a shallow grave. Unfortunately fortunately for William a dog soon found the corpse and dug it up. Both William and Matilda were arrested at his trial. Someone raised the possibility that William Baker Birdman had recently had a bad business dispute. Baker was found guilty of murder and scheduled to be hanged a few months later at the same gallows where his cousin Abner Baker her was put to death five years before William Baker never once cast blame on his wife though he continued to proclaim his innocence. Most of Clay County suspected worse worse the man Mathilde had killed was a Howard. The howards were closely aligned. With the powerful white family. Sworn enemies of the Garrard's and Garrard's were close kin of the baker's the dead man's family the Howard were furious though William Baker had been convicted they reasoned the true murderer of their kin was getting away. Jeff Gordon is part owner of this forty eighteen. Right I mean he's he's young. That's he brought me what we know. Yeah so how much influence this this jeff have in. Who drives the car going forward? I'm going to start this and then I'll pass two Jacob. I my opinion is that I think Jeff we'll have some say I think ally will obviously have a great deal of because it's going to be there driver but I think the biggest thing is it's gotTa Pass Mr Ages character personality tests because there's a very certain type of driver and type of person that he likes so I think ultimately ultimately it's going to be Rick's call so everybody should be adding Jeff Gordon to the Christmas card list. Is that if you're if you're new plants and no for the guys on social media earlier. David Gravel is not getting from trucks to cup in in a year that's missile Ankara. To make sense. He was taste Jacob. What's your two cents? Well my two cents. Is that Jeff Gordon. I believe we'll have a far bigger influence on. Who drives that car? Then you think and no. It's not going to be David. We're going to promise you that as well but mind blown earlier I firmly. They believe that Jeff as we talked about Jeff is a eight half owner in that team. And you know he's going to be one of the representatives initiatives that team you know continuing going forward and his you know his wishes for who drives that car and who represents you know ineffective his team along with Rick. "You know, but as soon as. Eccleston or the ninth doctor regenerated and turned into David Tennant at that moment. It just like blew my mind. Like that was the moment like I had had all this buildup, and I loved this guy. And I was like, wait. What like I was because I had no idea that that's what the show was about. The only thing that I knew was that. He, you know, the Jeff said go watch the show, and I was like, okay. And so like, I didn't know that he regenerate didn't know any of the history. I remember vaguely now that like I am so invested in it, and I've like become a huge fan boy of it. I remember on PBS watching the fifth doctor like seeing episodes of that. And be like what is this word show? And just like maybe watching it for few minutes, and then changing it, and I do remember Tom Baker who's the fourth doctor's well doing the same thing. I remember my uncle watching it. But like, I had no idea what it was a nor did I really care because I would turn it Star Trek, you know. That's what was on channel eleven to PVS. But and that's what my dad loved. But yeah, like, I know Dr you're right next, though, there's something like really powerful about like, I don't know sharing your phantom with someone else or. Ooh, I I showed you in Lena, Veronica Mars that is absolutely true. And I used to make the joke that we that. I just introduced everyone and I said Hello. My name is Taylor. Have you seen? Veronica mars. So. The funny thing is is Taylor when she found out that we hadn't watched it my first exposure to Veronica Mars was I worked with this guy who was kind of nuts like he was kind of mean and stuff like that. And he loved Veronica Mars. So he talked about all the time. And he watched it while it was airing. And I was just like it was kind of one of those things was like, well, I don't really like you. And you love Rana Kamara slow. I don't want to remind myself about like something, you know. It's just one of those stupid like I'm talking to my therapist now. So now, she can you know, diagnose me, but like the and so when when Taylor came to Lena and was like have you watched? Veronica Mars, I bet you would really like Lena's like I've never seen. It Taylor bought all three seasons for Lena. And gave them to a for her birthday. So that she could watch how confident I was that they would like it. But I feel like it was something like a passing of the baton because actually how I started watching Brana combined. Myers was my best friend for my sixteenth birthday. Bought me the first season of the show and said here, you're gonna like this. And I remember being slightly annoyed. Like what if I don't like this? And then this is just a really crappy birthday present. But I loved it. And then I was it was the same thing to Lena. I love the way that this conversation has gone from phantoms are generally thought of as kind of nerdy topics like Batman and superman. I love when I tell somebody that I have a podcast called the phantom podcast because I usually get one of two reactions..
