Judy Tenuta, brash 'Love Goddess' comedian, dies at 72

"Of sums up the kind of performer that Judy tenuta was brash with the sensitive side to her the veteran comedian who called herself the goddess of love has died at age 72 her publicist says she was a very funny amazing performer Her heart shaped face and poofy hair with the flowers stuck in it as an accessory gave her the appearance of being sweet and innocent but then she would open her mouth and say outrageous things like this time in 1994 in which she said she had no sympathy for Roseanne Barr and Tom Arnold's marital issues Oh those pigs those grazing at us That

"And the longer he will say he's not running, the worse it is for Ron DeSantis, you know, Mike Pence has to get a win because he did the right thing. But there are a lot of people, you know, Ted Cruz will have to be president. Ted Cruz is this the most. And Josh hawley, it's obvious who wants to. Because they'll say that Greg Abbott will run for president. These guys will, you know, the worst characters. So I think things are good. That's so far away. You know, so but I think a 100% would. If he made it clear that he would, they thought you could win. Did you see the. K BJ's hearings where Ted Cruz asked the most ridiculous questions like, you know, can I be Asian and all that? And then Ben sasse literally undresses him while sitting right next to him. Talk about Jack assery. That's a weird kind of. He's a weird, 'cause then he had vote for her. You're great. You're amazing. You have the qualifications, but I'm not going to vote for you. Yeah, Ted Cruz, he loves children's books. It's perverted. He read cat the hat. But then he puts those pictures of the children's books. And it looks creepy with him. And, you know, the way Lindsey Graham was like, this is not going to be like the Kavanaugh hearings. We're going to be respectful. We're going to give and then actually screaming and walking off. She will be a great associate justice as her story is fucking amazing. I'm so grateful that, you know, if they had any sense about themselves, the Republicans would be like, okay, I'm going to let this slide. I'm not going to because this is, first of all, she's going to get, she's going to get it. I don't want to seem like too much of an asshole. You know, so but the cast of idiots, you know, I just think there will be a moment for each of them that they just go too far or do something or something comes out about them. Because, you know, at least for a bite or sight of the field, we have all eyeballs on them all the time. Looking for because anyone that heinous and that dishonest, you know, there's something up. So that's all you do. And last question is from, on Natasha trash, Tom. Where did you get your shirt? I ordered it from I ordered it from every version of Ukraine's shirts. I love that one, too. Did you get it from Amazon? What's that? I ordered fabs. I got that 6 or 8 differ was all the time. And then my kids, my daughter, there's one that's a heart that, my little daughter, she wanted to add my son. He's got the black Ukraine that we wore to the event the other night. I think he worried he wore his shirt, and I were mine. And but yeah, it's good. It feels like I can always use sports shirts, but it's good. And Tom, lastly, say hi to my mom, osa Melendez, great show, Tom and John. Oh my God. That's nice. She's a great mom. But yeah, she's always in here, you know, she's always proud of me..

"But, you know, before I sports show, it's probably why I did his sports show because anytime the Yankees one, I got to be with the gang and got to know the guys. And a lot of things I'll never talk about. But a lot of great stuff. And you really have respect for the teams like that and athletes like that are trying to make a quick glass of street. But that was a very fun that whole thing was very fun. And I do remember everybody going to the one place where the Yankees were. Yeah, yeah, but that 1998 team is arguably one of the best teams ever in baseball history. You know? Yeah. Yeah, well, absolutely. It absolutely is the top 5 ever. But San Diego, let's be honest, they were it's exciting to get to the World Series where they have that year. But just look at the records and it's amazing. It was a great town. A great city. Great thing. You know, my ex-wife said to national anthem down there. That's very baseball. Pottery's game. But, you know, they just weren't, but to win game four in not in New York, in San Diego. It's different, you know? Because especially when you're the Yankees. But we had enough fun. We had enough fun, John. So Tom, I mean, what do you think is going to happen in the midterms? I mean, do you think that because I'm with you? I think we have a damn good shot. Just for what you said. Women are going to come out and drove. People of color are going to come out and drones now. Yeah, they're going to line up because they have to line up now. Because they're making voting harder. And I think that some of this QAnon chaos stuff is that the Republicans have embraced is going to backfire with people that believe in common sense. You know, the economy is actually a lot of, you know, there was 18 billion people unemployed with Joe Biden took office. Now there's a million and a half. And our biggest problem is we can't get enough workers. In our agriculture at anywhere, and that's a good problem to have. And wages are up. And I know that inflation is up. I know gas are up. But gas are up everyone. It's up way worse. All across the world. Yeah, and I spent the last, I did 5 movies last year and a half in Italy and the UK. It's all over the world. And the lie is that Joe Biden can control the prices. But he can't control anybody to control the price of pork belly futures or anything..

"What he's saying, oh, it doesn't say don't say gay. But here's the thing. There's a lot of cruelty in this stuff these guys do. And it's not okay. You know, or they'll take this one swimmer from college swimmer, the community gets to women like that's happening everywhere. It's not. And kids, little kids, man. Yeah, they get bullied at trans people, get bullied, more than anybody. And if they could say they don't want black, you can't talk about it. First of all, they don't want to talk about black history. But if they could just say, what Jews or black people are in school, they would. But they can't. They really can't. And now it's a trans people. They're like, we could pick all them. You know, and that's just not okay. And also these people that are talking about shit that's being taught in school, they're going to go through the books, they're going to, you know, these people that show up at school board bees crazy. These Q and on people, you know, I mean, that's a chill on the teachers. I mean, it's hard. I volunteer at my kids school, they're kindergarten and said, great. And I tell you, I have two. What they have to do to keep 23 kids on the same page. And to go, we're going to tell you what to. I mean, I listened to a story about a dog that's kind of a famous story that the teachers really got shot by a bad person. And then you saw about the dogs life and a neighbor taking the dog. Take care of it. And I thought, that's kind of a harsh story. He has a nice sandy. Babies are harsh story. Yeah. But I thought, well, it's also a very valuable lesson. And I think the same thing with talking about slavery or, you know, you feel like, oh, I don't want to be made to feel bad or kids to be made to.

"People fucking, when we did plan Hollywood there, we went for the opening. And 6500 member Red Army banned showed up at the airport 6500 because it was Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wow. And it was amazing. So he risks the risk for him as like, oh, I don't want some people to be mad at me in Russia. You know, but he doesn't care, because he's on the right side. The same thing with the Republican Party, which is morphed into something horrible. Cowardly, you know, and so I really, he'll speak up about that about what's right. And I really respect that. And you know, I met Kevin, he had we had a fundraiser over at his place. And he said, get come here. As soon as I walked in, he goes, I got somebody for you to be. It's Kevin McCarthy. And there you can see the picture of the moment we met Arnold's available as cowboy actors as a cowboy. And he just thought it was fucking hilarious. And so I said to Kevin McCarthy, he's like, what are the sides to talk? He said, why do you hate Trump? And I said, why don't you hate Trump? Good for you. You know, you fucking right I did. And in fact, I'm an idea of the auction together. And Kevin, we auctioned off Trump's first impeachment. Well, he's good at that because he already sold his soul. Well, of course you did. But we actually have for the charity. We've got like $700,000 for seats at Trump's first impeachment, which I said, I got to let people know that Kevin McCarthy, bad about Trump. And Arnold's like, you can't do anything. It's a benefit. And but I got him going pretty well, but he did sell. So he sold his soul so much more since then. You know, I didn't realize how much he sold it. But, you know, I do have to say this too. I mean, the odds are that the Republicans are going to take the house. Just because of the odds of historically, the first term. But I absolutely don't believe that that's a fate of complete. We get out and we'll work everybody's working hard. They go a door to door now. Something we couldn't do in 2020 for the house because of COVID. And I think there's some really key elections that we're going to win. And I just, and I also think the Republicans have put it all on us Democrats to get rid of Trump. They fucking hate Trump. They hate Trump. They'll tell you that he's an idiot. He's a monster, but we did him. So it's up to us Democrats of the January 6th commission and to get rid of Trump for the Republicans. So maybe they could get some sort of party back, but they're too big a cowards to do it. I mean, Liz Cheney and kinzinger, who's from Illinois just like that one. I mean, they're obviously they have some balls of their brave, but I think I have to say this, but we will. It will happen. Because other stuff is going to keep coming up, he's going to get smaller and smaller. And then at some point, and he's also going to sabotage the Republicans. He's like, he wants to get people like legit. Legitimate, he's putting these illicit terrible candidates up against, you know, legitimate legislators because they cross him..

"And now back to the show. Oh my God. I didn't know you were talking about college basketball. Of course I better try. What do you think it's gonna win? Well, I pissed because I'm an Iowa Hawkeye fan and we just, you know, I mean, of course I bet. You get emotional about teams. And particularly the Iowa women, I thought, these guys are so good. So sorry, John, so you make your bets that way emotionally. But who's going to sorry? Who's going to win? I hope duke quiz. I love coach K and be a great story. Everybody else is, you know, but I definitely hope to quiz. But it's great, you know, I love prop bets too. So do I drop, I love profits. And I've been known to make a few of those. They keep it very interesting when your team is in it or they're just fun, you know, the last two years, we have been around people and so you make these bets with your buddies and especially with bad you call each other up and you made a little bit and you connect with people you haven't spoken to in 6 months. And you laugh about it, and you know, it makes you feel a big part of something and I like your smarter that but I definitely support it. So Tara, what you thought about these Trump phone calls that have been deleted from the logs for over 7 hours and 37 minutes. I mean, what the hell is going on with our Department of Justice, man? Yeah, well, I mean, they're lethargic. They also, you know, they take their time. They can't be political. Because we had that last time. They can't appear. Merrick Garner can't appear political, but I assume they're working on all of that. The 7 and a half hour, you know, I have a guy I got to know the last year and a half, they dusted Stockton. Who was one of the organizers of stop this deal. He had Jennifer Lawrence, not the actors, but his gal. And they organized all those stop the seal up until they realized what was going to happen of the 6. I mean, this guy's a is right way. He's a good conservative. He used to work for the gun lobby, but he saw something was up. He turned over his burner phones to the January 6th committee. He turned over so much stuff and you could Google as a justice socket, Rolling Stone, I knew he was giving stuff all year. And I appreciate anyone that gives stuff that gets to the truth. So people he'd been communicated with people at The White House. And he just gave all the receipts and his burner phones, you know, to that. And I remember I called Eric swalwell, who's a way to go, hey, because I did that with Michael Cohen. I said, hey, Michael Cohen wants to testify. He wants to come in, do the stake. And I said, you know, this doesn't stock that..

"And not only that, but there's no consequence. He's still in the university. But then they say, we got to keep that in-house to us. That's like the Catholic Church. Yeah, we don't want the other being Jews. Anybody else that feels a different. We don't want them knowing about this. We will head to ourselves. And it's not just evangelicals. There's been big Jewish organizations that did the same thing. We know the Catholic churches. I mean, it's a bottle for all religious organizations. And I think that is finally coming down with the southern Baptists to the sort of conference. Because so many people have done it. TB 12, thanks for the two books. Does Tom still plan on releasing the tapes? And DS chemo, thanks for becoming a YouTube member. Yeah. Hey, well, I've released a lot of, I don't have anything to have a holding. I would love to get the Trump of the backstage tapes from Mark Burnett. But Margaret. The N word tapes. That's what we all need to see. It's only that, but there's, you know, thousands of hours of footage. And it includes Ivanka, Jared, everyone. And there's even worse than the N word, because, you know, there was 18 cameras filled with that show. And legally, that MGM had to fill Trump. For the moment he got out of his car, told the moment he left. And because it's a game show, you know, and there's a lot of this country, a federal law that because there's a game show scandal in the 50s before you and I were born. When they cheated, yeah. They cheated the $54,000 share or something. And they're the answers, you know, the people that spot the sponsors were picking the winners. Yeah, yeah. So because of that, they have to keep all that footage and never get rid of it. In other words, when the apprentice went on fubu is a fubu or Fuji, what is it, what are those television networks? They had to get all of that. Yeah. They had to get all of that new air. So they have that too. Now, there's a lot of this thing in Hollywood where we got to protect each other because God knows what you said with a mic on. And God knows what I have said with my card. But, you know, I was never the president. And I'd be happy to you can always put that out there. I think some of these are Robbie capitalist lawyer, New York, who's filed a case that she got out of. The show was 21, by the way. That was the real name. That game show was 21, I believe. I was talking about, okay. Thank you for Googling. But no, I just remembered in my noggin. Okay, but here's there's no tapes that I have that I haven't put out or shared..

"It's good that people like John and I speak up, but where's Steven Seagal? Why is he not speaking? I'm kidding. He's like, good friends. But Arnold spoke up, I'm very proud of Arnold. Yeah, I wanted to talk to you about that. I loved what Arnold. I loved that speech he gave. It was excellent. And you know, it's the best one you have something to lose. When you're honest about your own family history, which Arnold is. And then, you know, he has a lot of fans in Russia. So anytime, you know, I've also felt that Russia. So any time you speak up for something that is going to cost you financially or another way, I think that makes it even more important. And so, you know, you don't see Mark Burnett say anything about Putin because he wants to do a show with him for real. He's been with there a few times. And he's a billionaire. So people that are just comics like me and John and you, you know, it's a heck of a thing. It is the right thing to do. Yeah. Yeah, I guess, you know, I have to bring this up with your time because you are an actor and you have and you've worked in plenty of films. Did you watch the Academy Awards? I was doing this benefit during the Academy Awards. Right before I went on stage at the comedy store, so I said, hey, Will Smith punched Chris Rock. And I was like, that has me a joke. That has to be a joke. First of all, let me just, you know, comedians have enough get enough shit. The people jumping up on the stage anywhere. And you could do a labe joke. I've certainly done it a billion of them. But the ego of Will Smith thinking, yeah, I'm going to do, you know, because there's an exit behind Will Smith..

"Making fun of the homeless. Or making fun of developmentally disabled people, talking about retard retarded people, right? Yeah. Crowd might be drunk enough to laugh once or twice, but eventually you're gonna feel dirty and go home. You can't punch those who are below you in terms of power and influence and strength. And the sculpture. So I think he broke that rule, but he didn't know. He didn't know she had it. So I'm choosing to believe this is a great chance to talk about men and testosterone and the stupid reckless things men do. I know in many degrees this is a loaded issue on race and I respect that. But I think it's broader than that. I think it's all about men and toxic masculinity. And mean this, everything we talk about. And I like to believe that we're all going to move on from this. I will say, John, that I've had hundreds of people come up on stage when I'm performing to hit me in the middle of my act. And never once is the crowd given those people an award a few minutes later. So I don't even know how Christmas we feel. I know. I know. It was crazy, but I only have you for short periods of time. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, it's totally fine. I mean, you know, that happens. I mean, you know, but anyway, John, okay, where should we start with Donald Trump? First, what was a federal judge said that he's guilty of obstruction of justice? Is that right? And yeah. And now over 7 hours and 37 minutes have been, you know, deleted from the phone logs. Now, John, somewhere in hell, Richard Nixon is saying, finally, I look good. Yeah, I was just gonna bring him mixing. That destroyed him. Where was Merrick Garland, John? Where is Merrick Garland indeed? I think where is Merrick Garland is Satan's drinking game word. Stephen Colbert did a funny thing. A drop in. This is the kind of things that I would do. On this tonight show, buddy, he said, how did Will Smith get everyone in the standing ovation and they show with that Men in Black thing that gets everyone to forget that was pretty funny. So kudos to Stephen Colbert. And I'm also Jimmy Kimmel, thought as I did. He and his wife, they were watching, and they were like, is this real? And then they went, shit, it is. It was real. Zanex that shit. That's luck and kick was crazy and you know because i the guy dog. Oh okay no more cobra alcohol. Oh opioids oh yeah that oto noboru. Oh let's start by on fucking dr hold up. This is a very important story here. You fuck fucking get. What would you have nine nine years or something. What were the periods of time. Nineteen years almost eighteen and then and then the opiates from the motorcycle wreck yep and then i had that and then You know i have to talk about this. I because when i was a child yes there's a pedophile liberals treat and and bad things happen when your there's federal ed and when i got sober you know as i'm putting by life back the other one i i got sober. I i realized. Oh that's always bid there that i was raped by this man. Did you remember the whole time. What i read was that you came back to when you were making that movie. The gardens of the night. Well i was a difficult movie to make. I have to say this a it came back to me before because you know i went back and confronted him in nineteen ninety or nineteen ninety. So you knew you was with you from when you're walking laying outside looking at the clouds you're like that's just a bunch of clouds head. You get sober. You're like oh. That's what that was. And i did a lot of research. I went back to i old neighborhood and and found drained by the boys and a grew up with and the story together and They were lot of talk about it because he thought it was gay. Men would rape you. But i did talk about their sisters. Were very helpful. So i realized when my sister Got arrested at that time. I was talking about me sexually abused and and danes and my sister's first trial A woman came out and said Yeah i know who I know who sexually abuse you at. And it was a terry waves. I so how do you know i. I'm married to his brother and he did it to him tom. So that right there. I was like okay. I'm gonna find this guy. I'm gonna go in had brought him in the healthiest possible way. I practice my therapist to give a speech doubt my brothers. I have four younger brothers. Were maniacs they'll find anybody. They locate him in des moines. He's a big business leader. A big church leader. I go i practice before i did this. Did you get a lot of trouble. But i highly recommend it i. I walked into this place of business or like. Oh my god. Is tom arnold. I said i'm here to see terri. They're like well. We're gonna call adult letter don't call. I'm surprise him. I had seen him in years. And i have to say this in my mind in. This is a egos. They i was like yeah. I wanna walk around bucket walmart in my hometown and have this guy behind me. Go and see that baby sky. I fucked in. I was like. I'm taking the fucking initiative and so we had one of those scenes where he came out office ahead of me and we walk down the hall at you know i had seen it while. He's big dude but given by speech. I'm here to give you back the pain and chain cosby's kid in to try to do that too now. I'd break your fucking neck. And but he came right up on me and stuck his figure just and for a moment i felt like i was four by six and i could smell the laundry in his backyard and i was like scared for a second and i don't know i am a full grown buck and man now and took his his handbag. Put him up on the wall. As did you hear. I set a break. Your fucking neck and by that is employees to come out. 'cause tom are busy their boss as so they got to see a little bit. "It. But i just wanted to refresh my memory and and you know also like the woman by cousin from two doors down me this secret book and that that's very funny to me too but i think you know in a town like that you know you're there is anti-semitism. There's obviously racism and executive phobia. And you know. I always thought there just you know any time. Someone came like florida shades. Student you know the people of my generation just worship them they were there. They had to be from band to be better than us because they were different. It was like someone who's not like the rest of them kind of exactly exactly at even the kid. Ya que from israel and even the jews are like oh my god. He's he's the real thing but But you know it was You know what i have. Kids have grown up that now black kids fresno and their families and you'll is pretty divided to it was either is divided between people that fucking hated the redneck white trash racists or the white tragic racist third and we were obviously part of the hater. It was a physical thing. But what i learned later. Life is. there's other kinds a largest city at the university of iowa. There's kinds of racism. I hadn't even considered you know. i just consider. Oh the bucket the clansman in the those guys are racists like they're the worst of the worst in they're so stupid there's so fucking stupid you know. They're just idiots and your barest about that that they're from your town and you fucking hate. You hate him for being idiots at you know you're willing to do whatever it takes but then as you get older you realize oh there's all kinds of you don't hate you hate them for being idiots you hate him for being pieces of shit you feel sorry for them for being idiots right such trag eight of also for that. Okay fuck oh. I gotta make that very known But it is different. I mean every time you have something different. Like meet a jew from the works at pork processing plant or whatever it takes you know anytime because i'm an addict alcoholic eight. "From that story. Like that's when i would know if i was you that you were destined for great things. I mean that's a serious moment like that. You're willing to take that kind of chance and it worked like i. I wouldn't imagine that people would pay you to do it. And it's a spectacle and you're the star and your grandma is right there with you. I think i never did drugs. So i got out of high school because where i grew up you either drank. Or he did jugs. You're either a redneck. Are your research and our football coach. What who just. He was. Also jim coach in high school. He would just throw six balls out the middle of us. He divided redneck seizures. And that just go at it when you know a bombardment. He called it. But it's dodgeball just brutal. I i thought to myself. I am better than those people because those people you know they do draws say smoke pot they do those things. I just get very drunk almost every night. We do that and and and you know soon. After high school. I realize started trying different drugs and unlike them quite frankly and then i spent years trying to figure out the right bland. How much cocaine was how much alcohol. And you know i i was just. I was always an addict and And and i was always looking for some other feeling than the one. I had and And i certainly found that with the drugs and alcohol now when when did you realize that you resented your mother because in the movie your fucking screaming at your sister at what a horrible mother. She was and at fifteen. You're moving in with her. So you can party. When does your own resentment sort of arriving you. Well i think everybody down wishes you know. And the fact that i hadn't had a mother made me romanticize what that would be like you know You know kids at school. Their mothers Baked cookies came to school. I was in love by the way my first crushes were always mothers and i think you real romanticize what that would have been like My mother i felt like when she died i really. I didn't go to her funeral We were having. She just done a story in the national choir. That i was a bad jew. That's is that you know that's g was and you know her seventh husband. Who is the chief of police in our our town who i did not like eat it out like me. He liked my sister. Ironically because the the cops worked for her but You know after she died. I mean he was engaged by the time she died. She was in the hospital for allow. He was already engaged. A movie odd. So what i did was. I worked with my therapists. My sober friends. And i wrote a note that i went to end the day after i went to where she was buried. Read that to her. You know the things. I was mad about over here. And the things. I was grateful for over here which i highly recommend people do because it's shocking. What you're grateful for and i was grateful. I was mad about this. And that. But i was grateful that she did give us to our debt and that they'd gone to court and back then the father never one and And the day. After he i was supposed to go on the stand and basically say who. Do you love more your data your mom and my dad said i can't do that at he. He gave up in the next day. My mom came out to his office. And said here's the keys to the house. There were the babysitter. They're yours and really. That couldn't have been an easy thing to do. I just know as a parent but rape about that. So i thanked her and then her husband who was already engaged. I ended up above bill back and forth and had to pay him off to get her remains. Because you know they have it in our seventy they have the your husband. They assume people are going to be very forever which is also it's aid at so i got paid him some money back in court and moved her remains back to the cemetery as you see the movie with her parents and you know. She married sanitized. That i gave her back her maiden name because i just thought of her as a kid and Was so that was it for me. I'd make peace fact. I came home and and I was ready the roseanne show at the time. And in roseanne's father on the show Died and i had took the letter that i'd written my mother and put that in the script for roseanne to read at her father's casket as she wanted me for that you know she made it. She do limit to making her own but but that was a that was satisfying as a as a artist. I guess too because it was so real an you know everything that's you know was was real on. That show was real or in whatever you do and that that meant a lot to me my sister though. I never forgave her for what she did to my sister. And you know. I mean that was so fucking crazy i was there i came home and and and you know by size is my stepdad worse. Where's laurie at mom on the way to missouri. So she could get married to bob. I'd like you gotta be fucking kidding me and so you know i call my dad. We tried out what highway there on. Stop them and then. They came home that night. My mom came home just hammered also chooses sad sack but you got hammered at. She was like cry. I said where's laurie and she goes. Let's she she lives with bob now and it was. That was so fucked up you know and in the movie you talk about how that was basically the end of your sisters childhood where you had a childhood and you had an adolescence and all that. When was the first time you you took a drug. What was the situation well. The first time i got drunk up was i was probably tan. Got seriously drunk. You know we've lived actually the football field and we go over there. There was there was a apparent in the neighborhood. That would get us beer. I mean and but he also he was his classic drug where he also talked about him raising in the indianapolis five hundred which course would entertain. You believe this fucking maniac. But the first time. I got very drunk. I thought that this is it. I like this. This feeli- you know i'm going to. I'm going to do this a lot and people you know the necessary tad but you know people twelve thirteen. You know you could get into the bars of your fourteen or fifteen. So that became my life you know at at and that affected a everything affected me with at athletically and with school with my relationships.

And i see this big tall skinny guy with the hat. And i'm like that. Looks like vars and i go and i serve some tables. I run back. And it's bob forrest and he agreed to come on the show and my partner had been treated by him in rehab. Oh that's cool that's cool. Well i'm taller that bob. I've just get put it out there. You just produced a documentary series. There's so many things to talk about with you. You are a an ultimate dopey guest because like we have multiple relapses. We have multiple substances. We have fame beyond the pale. And even if that wasn't enough. Tom sister was this crazy. Meth manufacturer and tom made a movie about her. It's on discovery. I subscribe discovery just to watch movie. Well that you know you get a free subscription. Sure that's why you did i buy. I participated Happily in the documentary kd the queen of math which about my little sister and her experiences as being the of methamphetamine and I think it's a it's a real honest. Look at at what our life was like what life was like for her. How she got into that You know and obviously. She ended up in prison a couple times. And then you also get to see my nephew who you know. The the victory to be is is kids and that means whether it's made being sober as a father Or be beats over as a child. I used to be that. That's such a big reward and my sister and her husband who died in prison Floyd was the president of the grim reaper. Motorcycle club They left their son. Who is a eight or nine behind. I mean they buy sister. Said i'll be back as they say at the fbi. Everybody just caved down and arrested sixty people in my hometown of a tumble iowa on the same day. Obviously my sister was a the top of the pyramid and she said i'll be back and then she didn't come back for nine years and then You know at of course she came back and then she went back to it and but my nephew has never done drugs you he. He does a drake. He's a he's a large evening. I've made he's the taller wider. But that's really the victory he got married last summer and i took might Son to his wedding back in des moines and. I said listen. This is what could happen this kid here. He's never done drugs he's never gotten in trouble. He stayed away for that. And that's a miracle because you know my sister. And i especially because our mother you know a gave us alcohol and drugs and really gave my sister i drugs and then then made her bury a pedophile rapist at fourteen so until we both decided to move in with our mother Who did not raise us. I did it. Because i was fifteen and i wanted a bucket party and i do. There's no rules. I wanted to grow by Hair down to my and party and have no rules. And i do that but i didn't go. Oh i wanna live with my mom. I knew she was. I mean do i do but my sister unfortunately and this is something i tried to do with my kids when there's a there's a divorce when there's a situation You know if one parent is is acting inappropriately. I think the old school vegas take too high wrote and my dad's certainly did that. My momma come over wasted. He'd laugh at eat. He chuckle and i know he thought it is hard apart sets the best thing to do. He never said a bad word about my mother. And but i but i also was aware of the time i was four like. She's not what she does but she's not a mother and yet you know my sister. Though who is i was floor by sister was three by brother was one when my mom left by sister idolized her and that became that really My sister had a great life associates. Fourteen choose great student athlete. Living with a by then my dad and my stepmother Who was our next door neighbor. Of course it iowa is such rednecks. add at But but the moment she got with my mom and i was livid there. I'd moved it before laurie They were bess reds. They were like you know. Some of -ocial incest shit going on. She gave laurie her drugs. She ed she beds up mary this twenty three year old serial pedophile but when in the movie when she meets the serial pedophile. It almost sounds like it's like romantic at first like it's not like like it was her boyfriend and that was hillary told the story right in the move at. That's how laurie tells stories right. Oh she's You know. I love her at conditions way but she has a low well. You don't it came along it's been a long time to come to terms with what kind of a mother she had. My thing is you know. If You Can't Giggle At Yourself Five Years From Now, You Haven't Grown Enough - with Brit Barron

"When this podcast airs, it will be the day. Your first book is out in the world's. How does it feel like Tom Arnold? The thinks. It feels amazing. Good the last I felt like. Three months ago I was like waking up in the middle of the night. Like does it suck, you know. And, and then had to work through so like what am I afraid of? And then finally I got a place like you know what I'm so excited for to be out and I'm so excited for people to read it and I'm excited here. What hits? What doesn't what like I'm just excited? Yeah, it's like I'm ready. Yeah, and by the way it's so normal as a creator. Especially I mean as an author. No matter how many books right you still are like you vacillate between. I think this is pretty good and oh. Oh, my gosh is is total garbage. What was I think? And it's been it. That's the wild thing. It's such a solo process for so long right like you and a couple of editors like. Sammy and my mom a year you know. And then it's just like you with these words for so long, and now it's GonNa be very public experience, the android like shocking, but also like by by the last week of waiting for it to be out by. Let's just gut. Let's deal. Yet and I'm ready and I'm like so happy. It's in the world and I just I just feel so proud of it in so west at about. So the buckets about okay, so you'll know this because we've been friends for so long I wanted to write a book for. Just one of those people like fifteen right like I, WanNa. Write a book and we were at happy. Hour. Like probably five years ago, you're looking at me like worldwide. Why don't you want yeah like I, don't. In I. Think Realizing I'm not sure what I had to say I'm not sure what I wanted to say. Just wanted to write a book, which is not the best place to right from. And then I went through the season of. coming out of leaving, everything is sort of. To pursue something, different of facing so many fears, I had in what many finally wanNA write. That story was realizing actually how universal was so going through this experience of I. Don't want to be true to who I am. Because that will disrupt too many people around me. And for people who don't know your story I know you've been on the podcast several times for people who don't know you what what was disruptive about who you were. Yes, so I was a a group in the church, and then I was a pastor to mega church. And then I discovered more about my own sexuality through meeting. My now wife, who was then my best friend. Use All right through that and in in that right coming out. That was not a place where it's okay to be gay. And not only that specific place, but the culture I grew up in like the church culture. The church seen in when you work at a church. It's not just your job, right? It's your friends. It's your family. It's your networks like I remember thinking if I don't work here. Can I work with a Christian College I e so workout if I can't work there camera, the other Christian College I used to go to like my whole network and world. And then deeper than that, my identity was really tied to believing certain things in in going to church on Sunday and knowing that God had a plan in it was a specific plan and and I was gonNA. Step outside of that in so like layers on my heirs of disrupting probably every structure in my life to the point and so that's. Part of what I wanted to write, because none of that was easy. Right in this life now that I'm. Grateful, for in could never have imagined. Life could be good, and I'm my marriage in this family were creating but it was so hard. It was so hard to get there and. Yeah and it felt it felt singular. Felt like I'm a mega church pastor who came out in and disrupted my whole life and is very specific. In at the same time. Highlight got messages like when we came out publicly. From people who had gotten divorced from people who have gotten pregnant before they're married people grip in the church and started realizing this common. Narrative and I was like. Wow, that is so that means so much to me what they're saying from like a different story. Absolutely nothing I started realize like. Oh, my gosh is is more universal truths. Happening here like more people should be allowed to to face this this reality and be true what they feel like they're. They need

That's what Reuters reported yesterday Falwell told Cohen that somebody had come into possession of the photos that were up the kind that would typically be kept quote between husband and wife Cohen said in a taped conversations that was secretly made by comedian, Tom. Arnold earlier this year, Reuters citing a source described as being familiar with Cohen's thinking of saying that the person who had the photos destroyed them after Cohen intervened on the foams behalf. Trump fixer Cohen says he helped Falwell handle racy photos

"Falwell junior threw his support behind Trump at that key moment. What was that all about right? Well tonight. There's this from Reuters. Months before evangelical leader Jerry Falwell junior's game changing presidential endorsement of Donald Trump in two thousand sixteen Falwell asked Trump fixer Michael Cohen for a personal favor. Said Cohen in a recorded conversation reviewed by Reuters Falwell said someone had come into possession of what coming described as racy personal photographs the sort that would typically be kept between husband and wife. According to a source familiar with Cohen's thinking the person who possessed the photos, destroyed them after Cohen intervened on the falwell's behalf. Reuters reports that Michael Cohen recounted this incident in a recorded conversation with comedian, Tom Arnold recording. That Reuters was able to review portions of that recording. We're first reported last month by the Wall Street Journal. I wanna be clear that NBC news has not had an opportunity to hear this audiotape conversation. So NBC news has not been able to verify it and B C news. I should tell you has also reached out to the Falwell. They have declined to comment as yet. But think about what this means here. The report goes on to say that the falwell's enlisted Michael Cohen help in twenty fifteen. According to the source familiar with Cohen's thinking twenty fifteen of course, was the year Trump announced his presidential candidacy at the time. Cohen was Trump's confidante and personal lawyer and he worked for the Trump organization, quote, the falwell's wanted to keep a bunch of photographs personal photographs from becoming public Cohen told Arnold. I actually have one of the photos. It's terrible. Oh, you kept one you made the blackmailer destroy all the rest, but you kept one the falwell's told Cohen that someone had obtained photographs that were embarrassing to them, and that person was demanding money. Reuters was unable to determine who made the demand. The source said Cohen flew to Florida and soon met with an attorney for the person with the photographs Cohen spoke with the attorney telling the lawyer that his client was committing a crime, and that law enforcement authorities would be called if the demands didn't. Shop. According to the source.

"It's just. Okay, I can handle those kind of things where people are making fun of Trump and if it's in good humor. That's great. What I hate is today hate is the new humor. It's whoever hates Trump the most. You know, the guy that gets the pick ax and smashes his star on the Hollywood walk of fame, he's a hero to the left or Tom Arnold who's coming out, and I liked them are Levy spent time with Tom Arnold, but Donald Trump, he's a racist, released the apprentice tapes, calm down, calm down, but Donald Trump singing, Billie. Jean genius, genius. Elena says, no should never have done it. The first place. She's a traitor. Talk about Jane. Fonda marshal says her, apologies fall on deaf ears. She can never apologize for the misery. She caused our military personnel in some cases, their deaths true, very true. Jerry says, hell, no, I don't accept it. She was as songbird just like McCain. Let's see. Oh, here's another one where the left is saying that Donald Trump socks and all his meeting with Kim Jong on did nothing really when I tend to disagree quick little story coming out of North Korea, and this one is is pretty important, especially to those who lost family members in the Korean war. Check this out the remains of fifty five American servicemembers killed any Korean war expected to be returned by North Korea tomorrow that's Friday. An American plane receive the caskets and transfer them to to US air base in South Korea. They'll be flown to a Wii next week, their repatriation agreement between President Trump and Kim Jong on, you know where they're sending them to Hawaii. I've actually been to that place. It's. What campus. Air force base. I'm blanking. There's an air force base right next right in Pearl Harbor ban. I can't believe I can't remember the name of it. Shame on me anyway. I'll think of it, but in the air force base, they have this. It's it's a building nine in that very big of a building, but they go all around the world to places where they find the remains of American soldiers, and they try to piece them back together and then identify who they are and let their families know. And this is going. These remains that go back to World War Two and Korea. And I remember asking the guys. Long time ago, why? Why are you still doing this? And he looked at me and he said, we never leave anybody behind, sir. It may take us fifty years sixty years, a hundred years, but my mission in life is the white dentist by every soldier that we lost and the remains of every soldier. And he says that they find them all the time. It's shocking. I may. There's still by Hickam Air Force base. Thank you very much. Yes..

"He's targeted he's very clear and strategic look anti blackness is a strategy that has been the foundation of part of the american process project so the fifty million or whatever it is the voted for trump you're all racist okay that woman should ever be on cnn again it's really simple right tom arnold he was married to rosanne cash it's been they divorced in one thousand nine hundred four so it's been quite a while and he did an interview with the hollywood reporter and he said it had to happen and i've got to tell you the truth she wanted it to happen that's what tom arnold says now tom arnold says the the bottom line is you put a phone in her hand she's a loose cannon and our entertainment guy who is with us in the last half hour said the same thing her tweets were wellknown she had crazy outrageous over the top tweets going for a long long time this is not the first time her twitter feed has made the news she's done this before and so arnold during the first season of the reboot of the roseanne show he threw out this idea to family and to the crew there's so much to take away bars phone and arnold was informed that bar refused to give up her phone so he said he made a difference suggestion he tried drafting her a statement that would tell fans she was going to spend less time on twitter quote i wrote a whole thing for her a month ago i send it over to the crew it said i've got this is the word his words for roseanne i'm going to take a step back it was fun at first but now i can see much negativity is there is out there and people are getting hurt so i'm going to take a step back and i'm hoping by fans we'll too and then tom arnold said and then are crazy tweets came out so he says you know bottom line is she wanted this to happen so she's still going out of this morning now there's the ambien excuse used and it's interesting so ambien comes out with abby he comes out with a statement right off the bat that ambien does not one of the side effects is not racism but i'm on the on a website right now known side effects of ambien.

Jimmy Kimmel calls for compassion in wake of Roseanne Barr controversy

"The side well these are safe topics that i can speak out on where did that interview back in two thousand eleven back then the idea of a full network reboot of the roseanne show would have been inconceivable times change fans are forgiving but this was already roseanne's second job yeah sell ass word and so you know they were like showing you know kind of all the different stories in with the visual and stuff with that and then on a later story than they shared about just kind of even what's happened since then nouncement of the show coming back and tom arnold could suffer months ago was like i'm rose these these are dangerous things that she's sharing online and i more i think about what ian said i do think that you are people are getting sick reason coming what they're reading in a way and jimmy kimmel i know he he's getting some flak he said what the real roseanne said is indefensible but angrily attacking a woman who's obviously not well does no good for anyone take a breath and remember that mental health issues are real the roseanne i know could possibly use some compassion and help rate now so she has mental health how does he know what she hot in that last thing that she had kind of the rock bottom he understood that you do have to sell out a little bit for celebrity because people don't like everybody's opinions and you're you know they wanna see her be roseanne yeah paulie per ad for men's tweeted there's an old adage is sober man's thoughts are drunk man's words so she said so a racist gals stats are ambien orchards sorry roseanne too much you know and then there's a lot of funny jokes about ambien and all of that kind of stuff but the biggest thing and what ambien since taking ambien doesn't make you recess that was the best line ever that ambien said yeah yeah they had to do that no so anyway and so yeah right you know i you're her having a real like they're like mom we've got to sit down her kids are like in their thirties and she's talked before about you know how hard it was on them when she kind of had to go off the grid and she moved to hawaii.
