Christ Not Caesar
"We're doctrine matters podcast where we seek to equip the church to understand and live out its faith. I'm your host Stephen on the preaching pastor at South Carolina Baptist Church in Jonesboro Arkansas. Thank you for joining us today. Let's get right to today's episode. Gay, Air Gloria welcome everybody to the doctrine matters podcast. I, am glad that you have chosen to tune in here today, and there's a lot of stuff to talk about that's going on in the world of Christianity, a lot of things that are happening still and in our world. So all of these things kind of tied together if you've been listening at all and to the past episodes, you know that all of these things are kind of coming to a point now too where they're all kind of mixing together especially with what we're going to talking about today, and we're going to be talking about something that is both been applauded and also been looked at as something that. Should not have possibly been done. So we're GONNA talk about it here, and I might give you my thoughts, my two cents although, I. Who am I'm just a the host of a podcast So take it with a grain of salt you and I might disagree we might agree but either way we're gonNA. Talk about some of these issues, some of these things that have happened in our country over the last six to seven days as many of you know this is not the first time you've probably heard about this so and I'm also going to say it's probably not the last time you're going to hear about it either so. We talked about recently very briefly on the last episode about the Governor of California, shutting down all church services and I believe he went ahead and and said no in-person in home gatherings either for when it comes to churches but other things can stay open other things were deemed essential but yet the church had to close down and I've read a post that said thirty, three, thousand or some. Three thousand pastors said that they were set to defy the governor's orders and they were going to continue to meet with one of those. Happens to be one of the most and I hate using the word popular A lot of people know who he is many of you have study Bible about him but John. Macarthur. Just outside of Los Angeles California had come out with A. Blog and a statement. The basically said that they are going to as also defy the governor's orders in they're going to begin meeting again now. According to John Macarthur he was on Tucker Tucker Carlson. The other night he said that he was standing up and began to preach to an empty room and then over the next few weeks if doing that people started coming back into the building on their own, they were coming to gather with the saints without even being told to something they were doing. And ultimately led to. John MacArthur putting out a statement from he in the elders at Grace Community Church there in California. And Jump Arthur is one of those popular pastors, one of the bigger name pastors in and really the world. A lot of people know about John MacArthur they have his New Testament commentaries they've seen as commentaries. They've many of you may have had a John MacArthur Study Bible there may have one now I knew. Knew. A bunch of people had one seven years ago think I even had one. It's been a while before I really even knew who John MacArthur was ahead is study Bible. So he is one of the bigger national pastors in again I hate using popular or big name pastors, but it is what it is. A lot of people know Joe McCarthy is. So John MacArthur is said that we are going to. Not Bow down to Caesar. We are going to bow down to Christ Christ as head of the Church Not Caesar. So we are going to gather again as the church. We're not going to be doing online services anymore although their. Services are online but. They're not doing online only they are having in person worship gatherings and just A. Quick reading from the statement I. If you haven't seen it, I can You can look in the show notes and linked to it. But part of that says this in response to the recent. State order requiring churches and California to limit or suspend all meetings. Indefinitely we the pastors elders of community church respectfully inform our civic leaders that they have exceeded their legitimate jurisdiction and faithfulness to Christ. Prohibits us from observing the restrictions they want to impose our corporate worship services. Said another way it has never been the prerogative of civil government to order, modify forbid or mandate worship this of course, and I'm reading right now. But this, of course, this line is coming from the First Amendment that protects the gathering of religious. Meetings the church can gather and worship and is protected by the first. amendment. So. Again, let me start over said another way it has never been the prerogative of civil government to order modify forbid or mandate worship this coming after earlier in this statement. So where? He, used some scripture to backup. Some civil authorities and kind of talk about the reach they do have, and we're that jurisdictions. So he's playing off the First Amendment now saying they've never been able to modify or cancel services and it continues its is. Win How and how often the church worships is not subject to Caesar Caesar himself is subject to God. Jesus affirmed that principle when he told pilot, you have no authority over me unless it had been given to you from above as John One, thousand, nine hundred. And because crisis head of the Church ecclesiastical matters pertaining to his kingdom, not Caesar's Jesus drew a stark distinction between those two kingdoms. When he said rendered a Caesar, the things that are Caesar's and to God. The things that are God, God's mark twelve, seventeen, our Lord. Himself always rendered Caesar Caesar's offered to Caesar what belongs solely to God. As pastors and elders, we cannot hand over to earthly authorities, any privilege or power that belongs solely to Christ as head of his church. So. And it goes on to say there that they are the local body and they believe that crisis the head of the church, and during this time the government is overstepping their bounds. They are going to continue in person services and that they did this past Sunday with a little over three thousand people in attendance now. That came some pushback from the mayor from Los Angeles and the mayor said that they were GonNa shut power to all the churches that defied this order so. I I don't think that it got to that this Sunday, but it is on the table where they could possibly be not having any power as they move forward when they continue to gather in defiance of this government order. And that's okay. So for me. If it were be my church here in Arkansas and we had the mayor come knocking and say, Hey, we're fixing to pull the plug here. You're going to have no power. I mean if you've ever been to the south in the middle of the summer, you know that it gets hot quick but let me tell you something what would happen here in northeast. Arkansas the mayor came to the church to pull the plug because we were gathering. Doing, what we've been called to do through the scriptures and he says because you're defying the government order the mandate to. Not Meet. We're GONNA pull the power to this church and I would just say pull the plug. We're going to sit here and we're GONNA. Continue to sing we're GONNA continue to pray we're GONNA continue to worship the Lord we're going to preach we're read the word I mean surely we can find a match up in here we can find a candle or something and even if we can't, we'll go outside You're, not. You're not gonNA, do anything but turn on our power off we're still GONNA meet. We're still GONNA gather restore going to worship the lord now. There has been quite some pushback from some that said, why would you gather in the middle of a pandemic will? Folks if you've been following the news and all of the things that go along with the news and all of the people that have talked about covert nineteen, this pandemic and depending on which news sources you're watching facebook people you're listening to you might be just getting full of misinformation now. Yes. There is misinformation on both sides of things but let's look at the numbers of this thing. This thing. Just go to California where this churches. So. Basically you have a ninety nine percent chance of surviving covid nineteen in California if you look at the world or or at least the United States that numbers anywhere from ninety eight to ninety, nine percent depending on which state you're in. So this thing has a recovery rate or. You won't die from it I mean. It's really a big number ninety, nine percent of the people will not die from covid nineteen yet. We're shutting economies down. We're doing a whole lot of things that are hurting people hurting families and it has just been insane when you look at the numbers and ended, it doesn't take an epidemiologist to look at numbers and to divide numbers. Now it may take a calculator for somebody like me that is not good at math, but you can take a calculator. And you start looking at the people that have been infected that it's been reported and you can look at the number of people in that state and you can do the math and when you look at the people that have died from it, and you can do that simple math on your own and you can find all of those numbers all over the place. You can go to the CDC website and found those numbers I believe for each state. So just a simple quick run of math will tell us that this thing has not been as bad as they had predicted now. Is it real. Yes. Have people died from it yes. Absolutely, and I want to be sensitive to that. I don't want to look at this thing and say, well, this is a conspiracy theory. You're not really seeing this for what it is. Yes. I am I don't believe it's a conspiracy theory what I do believe though. Is that it has been blown out of proportion and many lives have been. Really derailed as a result of it. Our economy has seemingly tanked people are out of jobs. Families are struggling families are hurting. Families can't put food on the table because we shut the economy down over a ninety eight to ninety nine percent survival rate virus going through the United States somebody. Tell me please how Italy is doing now how Spain is doing because we don't hear about these other countries like we did before that. Yes, we got through the first three months together things started opening backup to cases started going up test started going up. But still if you look at the numbers, you'll see that this thing has a very high survival rate. So, if you just look at the numbers as they sit as they are hard to argue the numbers when when you break it down that way. Now, you can argue mask no ask you can argue anything else you want to but it's it's hard to argue the numbers. Even if they're reported by the CDC. So you see the numbers, you see the survival rate and this is what John MacArthur done. He's looked at the survival rate he's looked through the word he said that. We should gather. We should mean if this thing would have been ten times worse like they said, then you've probably seen a lot of churches a lot more churches kind of pull back the reins a little bit. You probably see a lot less churches going back to normal activities on campus onsite but this thing is still ninety eight, point nine, hundred, Ninety, eight to ninety, nine percent survival rate, and we have to keep that in mind and that's what John MacArthur kept in mind he and the elders there at grace community church and they said, we are not going to bowel to Caesar. Bow To you governor in this mandate that is really way out of context. It's kind of overstepping how we can leave all these other things open all these other quote unquote, essential businesses open yet the church has to close down. Now. You look all across the United States and you see where a protest where riots were all of these things are happening and I love what John Macarthur said on. Tucker Carlson. He said that we are the original protesters its in the name it goes all the way back to the Protestant reformation we come from a line of Protestants with simply means to protest so even as the church. Gathers the churches protesting against sin gets is against heresies against all sorts of things. Do we stand in protest when we gather as the church and that's what John MacArthur alluded to last night he he actually said that to took Carlson and I'm glad he did that because that is what we do every Sunday. We gathered a protest a protest against these things and but that's not the protests. That the state wants to happen. That's not the kind of protest that they want to see own their ground they wanna see somebody go out and and just tariff America because they can put that quote unquote trump's America now I, don't want get political as much on here but it's not hard to see the handwriting on the wall in a lot of these things because you let black. Lives matter and all these things all these riots happened and you don't say a word but yet you gotTa shut down the churches you can't let them gather because the virus loves church and if you gather as the church, it's going to get in there and it's going to sin tons of people to the hospital and potentially kill a lot of people and is GonNa be because of you. And back up here, let's think through this. What does Islam Do. They kill people on purpose in the name of Allah. Yet, they can keep their mosque. Can keep all of these things running they can continue to gather they can continue to meet but when Christianity when Christianity is on the front lines and you have to. Pull back and say, no, you gotTa stop but You Islam you Muslims you can continue doing what you're doing you riders continue to do what you're doing because you're changing. America, you're you're making your voices heard. But you church you sit down and shut up under my directive. And I praise God for men like John Macarthur that have stood up and said, no, we will not sit down and shut up because in a time where people need to church the most it's now. Think about this for a minute. Domestic violence cases have gone up even here in Northeast Arkansas. That is one of the main things that's gone up is domestic violence cases. Why? Because they're together more in the home domestic violence cases have gone up suicide all over the country it's starting to go up. You're starting to see. This is a very disturbing and troubling. Article I read. It said that. Child abuse neglect cases for DHS and I can't remember if this was in state or where it was. But either way it said they've gone down fifty one percent now just looking at that taking that at face value, we would say, well, yes. Child abuse and neglect cases of gone down fifty, one percent but wait. The article went on to say. That the reason it's down is because there's no school, there's no church and a lot of places. There are no daycares and a lot of places. There are no places where these kids would normally be seen on a daily basis where people would normally see bruises or or see things out of the outside of the norm with this child or children, and then be able to report it to the authorities. As not happening now why? Because things are closed down things aren't able to go on like they normally would. So we see a lot of things changing because of this, and this is a time where people need the church more. mean. Let me just say this we all need to be gathering with the saints. Especially, if we're believers, we need the church, we need it all the time, but this is a time where people are really struggling to close down. What is essential is really essential is is telling and I don't I've said this before this isn't persecution on a level like we've ever seen but I believe this is the beginning of persecution here in America it's starting small it's going to be be. This big us, but it's not a physical persecution right. But we can see where the government is trying to silence the church. They're trying to move God out of America. They're trying to move Christianity out of America. It's what you do when you're a socialist and a communist you gotta get God out of here. There is no room for God in a communist country. Look at China. They're telling their people to worship the president. Now instead of Jesus, it's it's crazy and that's the beginnings of what we're seeing here. We're starting to see an oppression of the Church of Christians Christians Voices are silenced they are. Not Allowed to be heard and it starting and we need more men like John Macarthur to stand up and say I hear you I respect you and I'm for you yet. We cannot bow to you. We have to bow to the Lord and we are going to gather with the saints. Hebrews ten twenty five says do not neglect to gather with the saints as some have made a habit of doing. So we are called to gather. We are a called out assembly, a body of believers that are called to gather together to live with one another to encourage one another disciple one another to sharpen one another to do all these things to live at peace with one another to share with one another to do good for one another. We need one another we need the church. This is a time where it's got to be open. And we can't let. Tyrannical governors. Till the church what to do especially churches that are. Protected by the First Amendment. But then you've got those that are gonNA say, but this is a pandemic. This is not the time for you to take a stand. But remember those numbers folks remember the recovery rate remember and you say we'll cases are climbing cases are going up but testing is going up there. The the recovery rate of the survival rate is still staying at ninety eight or ninety, nine percent whichever state you're in it's very high I. It really is survival rate is right there with the seasonal flu. So we have this mass hysteria going down for the sake of. Something that infects point zero zero, one percent of people or something like that. We have to keep these numbers in mind now. Jonathan Leeman. And Mark Dever two guys that I've listened to have read their books of listened to their podcast. They've kind of come out. Right in the same week and they put out like two or three articles and did a podcast on it and and They just don't believe that this is the time to stand. And push back. When it comes to Gathering with the saints on the Lord's Day, they don't believe it's time during pandemic. They don't think it's time for civil disobedience. They don't believe that it's time. To do that in this moment. Says Jonathan Leeman says I don't necessarily disagree with their decision to not meet into act and civil disobedience. That's a fair judgement for them to make. Okay. That's that's okay. But the divers said, one of his concerns in this article I'm reading with the statement was that if church leaders and Christians didn't read it carefully, they might believe they are in sin if they follow a states restrictions during the pandemic. Fear that this was written in such a way that any pastor who was considering whether or not they should go along with state prohibition would believe they must disobey the state or be guilty of contradicting our Lord's clear commands said Denver, who serves the senior pastor of Capitol Hill. Baptist. Church in Washington DC. Now what they're coming from the or or the the article they're coming from the angle. Of. If if pastors don't follow suit. then. It must mean, they're wrong. And I can I can feel that I can get down with that a little bit because I. I can tell you just a little bit of my own experience here in northeast Arkansas. We went back to Churchill. What we thought was right early on in the beginning we took a few weeks we step back and we really tried to listen and play out this thing see would it's GonNa look like what it's GonNa do how it's going to affect our country. Would you know we did the online thing for for several weeks and then may seventeenth we went back to church we opened the doors and been there ever since. But after we had been back probably a month, maybe a little longer there was another church in our. Area that said we're going to use wisdom and we are not going to be gathering back at our building. We're going to be wise and have house churches with ten people or less so as a pastor. Heard that. And I thought. Well, what they're saying is if I don't do that or something similar to that. then. What I'm doing is wrong. Because they said, we WANNA use wisdom we WANNA be wise. We're GONNA do this and not this, and what they weren't GonNa do is what our church was already doing for weeks before I saw this video. So I started thinking my flesh I was like, well, who is this church to think that there are any better than anybody else? So get where Devon Leeman are coming from here. That you have to be careful not to read between the lines and say, well, if you don't do what we're doing your insinuated repent, there are a lot of people on each side of this issue. There are a lot of people that are saying, yes, you do need to repent if you've closed your doors fa anytime during this pandemic. And I would respectfully say and. Say That I believe early on any church that pulled back for the sake of less really see how bad this thing is. Let's protect our our vulnerable people in our congregation. Let's let's protect our people in general because nobody knew what this thing was gonna do nobody had any clue. I was the last person. Or the first person that would tell you that I do not want to shut down. The church or at least move from the physical gathering, not shut it down but. Move Online. I did not want to do that but on the same hand or the opposite hand. Well, however you WANNA look at that. We also were dealing with the virus sweeping across the world. and. We had no clue what it was going to do what the next few weeks we're going to look like. So we did we thought was was. As as many others did. And some people will continue to meet. Now that's where a big debate began between brothers and sisters in Christ where you're wrong for not meeting or you're wrong for continuing to meet and it was just amongst brothers and sisters there was a division there and we're still seeing this division. Now, if we're not careful, that's why we have to understand that. Leaders of every church, the elders the leadership have to be in prayer they have to be discerning. They have to really trust the Lord and do what they feel is right in God's us. Now we get into the book of judges and we can see where there was no judge and the people did what was right in their own is. So if you're making decisions based off what's right in your eyes or what's best for you? Then, yes. You're making your wrong decisions, but if you can. Say Without a shadow of a doubt like we believe this is the direction we should go as a church after much prayer and consideration and counsel, and all these things if this is what we need to do according to our convictions. And what would bring God glory we feel. Then that's what you need to do. But to bicker back and forth with somebody especially, brothers and sisters in Christ to go back and forth with one another and say one is wrong. One should repent. One shouldn't. Man. Making decisions based off. Biblical wisdom. And Counsel, then we make those decisions and we stand by. We don't call each other out. We don't put each other down when I don't even think we should call each other to repentance unless we're doing something for our own glory or for our own. Selfishness, but we definitely can't be. Divided when it comes to difficult decisions. Now, this is not a unprecedented. This is not some thing that's you know never happened before we we know about the Spanish flu we know about pandemics in the past. Will before we were born now this may be new to us, but this pandemic is nothing new to the world. But for us as leaders and pastors elders, we're definitely trying to navigate and make the best decisions based on what knowledge that we have had now. This is where jump coauthor and hit the elders at grace community. Church have gathered and said based on what we know. Based on the numbers here in our state based on what we've seen the governor saying what he's doing, what he's keeping open and what he's trying to close we have got to say that we cannot bow to the governor. We need to open our doors because the church is essential and that simply all he was doing all the elders were doing. and. He's taken a lot of flack from it. But. Again, let's think about the numbers. Think about the survival rate We can argue talk about I don't want to argue that's a bad word. We shouldn't argue with one another even when it comes to the mask whether we should wear a mask or not a thing believers should definitely show each other grace and love. I don't want to get on the whole mask debate again, but we definitely should show each other some. Grace some mercy. Some brotherly love whether you wear a mask or don't wear a mask because I guarantee you many people that wear one or don't wear one have many good reasons to back up why they're not or are wearing a mask. So just like in the mask debate whether you're churches meeting not meeting online not online, whatever whatever the case may be if if they're not bowing to the government or bowing to. Any other form of Outside sources outside of the church but they're bowing to Christ. They're making decisions based off what they feel is right and in line with the word and giving God glory. Then let's stop pickering back and forth. Let's applaud the elders at Grace Community Church and say, Hey, you stood up for what you believe in. You stood up and did what you thought was right in God's eyes what you thought was right When you read through the Scriptures, not what you wanted to do you're just not going out there willy nilly saying, Hey, we're not gonNA listen to you because you can't tell us what to do. No. This is after careful prayer consideration that they have chosen to do what they've done. Many of you listening churches may not be meeting yet your elders. Asked him questions your leadership asked them where they're at what is their thinking? What is their thought process behind not meeting? Maybe, you can ask if you are meeting what was your thought process in meeting again or what was your thought process when it came to not shutting down at all it's good. Ask Your leaders questions in. So you can hear their answers because everything that your elders your pastors say to you. You must run through the word of God that must be your filter that must be your lands. You should take everything you hear even on Sunday morning and you should go back and test what your pastor says with the Bible. So. Ask elders questions, and if you feel that your elders or leadership whatever the case may be there at your church if you feel they are not. Acting. In a way that would honor God whether they're meeting or not. Then I believe you'd go by the Biblical mandate and you begin the process of talking with your elders and thinking through and possibly if they could be in San, there's ways to go about. Bringing this up to them so that they could repent. But do it biblically. We're already at thirty minutes. We're not going to get into that tonight, but I just wanted to talk a little bit about that. So the John MacArthur thing. So my biggest push in my biggest. For you all that are still listening here at the thirty minute mark is to. Have Grace Love and mercy for your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ for your for your sister churches for your. Churches in your area that may be doing something different than you to show some grace and some humility and some love for them because this is the most difficult thing they've probably ever had to lead through I know it is for me. even even in our own church today I, mean you got It's Wednesday is recording this after church and just thinking through some of the things in our church leading through a pandemic. Is Some folks we were in a room and we don't require mask a Lotta Lotta mask lists people in there and there was some concerns. Hey, we're Kinda in the smaller room with a bunch of people we don't feel comfortable. Is there any way we can move into the bigger room? So we did that and then there was somebody said, Hey I don't have my tables This is a bigger room at a you know. So back and try to help each other out you know and try to show grace and love and mercy there and do the best we can in every situation. But the thing is your elders. Your pastor is not going to knock it out of the park during this pandemic he is not going to make everybody happy and he knows that and listen your pastor, your elders they do not like not being able to make everybody happy now. Any pastor elder worth. His salt knows that we are not here to cater to men or bow down to men or make them comfortable or make them happy. But we do want to do things that. Help, the body and we don't want anybody to be upset. We don't want to be anybody to have their feathers ruffled. So we WANNA do the best we can endearing pandemic it is difficult listening being pastor and elder and a churches as difficult as it gets. Let me tell you from experience some of you guys in. Maine. That are elders or pastors. You may know what I'm talking about ministries is tough youth pastors. Children's directors whatever you know when you're dealing with people. It is frustrating. Sometimes, it is tough. Now you're dealing with people in the midst of a pandemic. It's even worse. So show your elder some grace. Show other churches some grace Show other churches some love. Don't act like you're better. Don't act like they're better. Just. In humility. Come together. Serve. And love one another and again asked questions to your elders your leadership. It's okay to ask your leadership questions or at least it should be. If it's not, you might WanNa start looking at why you can't and those reasons might lead you out but. we're not all going to get right. I would personally applaud and say, thank you, John MacArthur, and other pastors in California for standing up and gathering with the saints. especially with the numbers the way they are. And just so grace and love folks. That's all that we can do in this very difficult time. That's all we should do anyway. So. That's part one of some of the more. Noted, things that have happened this week. We won't get into part two here on this episode but standby here when the next episode comes around and drops because we're going to be talking about todd. White. Todd white who seemingly repented from the stage. Muna talk through some of that what that looks like and see what we can. Talk about as far as todd white in his repentance todd wide, of course, word of faith. Growing legs out right there on the spot healing back pain and people a lot of things to talk about with todd white lot of things to talk through. In his repentance. Sermon. And a lot of things to look forward to. So we'll talk about that next time on the PODCAST. So until then have a great rest of your day a great rest of your weekend until next time. God. Bless.

I got was with regard to sugar free wine because I mentioned it in that episode. I mentioned that I had discovered from listening to another. Other podcast or in the health category. Dave Asprey, I listened to his bulletproof episode about a company called dry farm wines that imports wines from Europe that are sugar free. So I discovered these wines, and by the way, I'm not a wine drinker, but I discovered these wines and they've been a game changer and a mention them briefly in that episode, and I got little like just bombarded with questions, and I'm definitely not the expert here. So I thought what a great opportunity to bring the expert on. So today. My guest is Todd white Todd white is a health evangelist, and he's also the founder of dry farm wines. Todd is a serial entrepreneur like many of us, and he discovered or developed founded if you will this business of importing wines in an effort to solve his own problem. He's switched to the Keita. Genyk diet was trying to figure out how he could drink wine and still stay within ketosis. And discovered that the winds here in America. The least of the problem was the sugar and omega. You know, what I'm not going to spill the beans. Or should I say, I'm not going to spill the red wine. I wanna make sure you know, about that great bonus that he gives us in the event, you don't make it all the way to the end of this interview. But I hope that you will because it's loaded with information you need to know. So I start the sooner you by cutting right to the chase and asking Todd. What's the problem? What's the big deal? What's the issue with the winds here in the United States domestic wines? What do we need to know? What don't we know? What's the truth about the health benefits of red wine in our those health benefits? True. If what we're drinking is labeled if the ingredients are not labeled, and we don't know what we're drinking. Okay. Here's todd. For conventional wines. Here's what's happening. The FDA approved seventy six additives for the use in wine making some pretty nasty chemicals. Why doesn't your audience know about these additives because the wine industry with some help from their friends in Washington DC politicians, the wine industry spent tens of millions of dollars in lobby money to keep contents label off of wine that is crazy to me. So here's the deal, the wine industry's been very successful in keeping all of this the secret until I came along. And I discovered all this quite by accident, but let's stay focused on these Seventy-six additives that are contained in some combination in most all wines. That's the atmospheres are just one of the problems. But it's the chief glaring problem of toxicity and wine and wine smell the way. They do why they taste the way they do. Most people. Think that's just how wine taste, but that's what real wine tastes, like these Seventy-six additives, which have been hidden from public view because there's no contents label on the wine bottle wine is the largest major food product with out any kind of contents label, right? And so if it had a contents lay wanted it would look just like the rest of processed foods that were watching the labels on it contain a whole bunch of chemicals and compounds that you have no idea what they are. Or what they mean? Where a natural wine. Real wine contains just one thing firm into great juice nothing else. Nothing added nothing taken away. That's a natural wine less than one percent of all wines. In the world are natural. Right. It's not very profitable make these wines. You can't make them in large quantities. People don't understand people just assume again that all winds are natural. And in fact, they're not what dry farm wines. Does. We see. Sell natural wines. So the first thing that comes to mind people say, well aren't all wines natural? Well, in fact, they're not most wines are not natural. So what's happened in the wind supplier around corporate consolidation in the United States fifty percent of all wind manufactured in the United States or made just about three giant wine conglomerates? In fact, the top thirty wine companies in the United States make over seventy percent of all the wines. The recent you don't know that is because these vast slick multibillion dollar marketing conglomerates hide behind thousands of labels and brands to have you believe you're drinking from farmhouse or. When in fact, you're drinking wines that are manufactured in massive factories in central California where most wines are made. So here's what's happening with conventional winds, and that conditional winds, I'm gonna use to descriptions here of wine conventional wines. That's almost all wines in the market. That's all the wines. In your grocery store, all the wines in your bottle, shop most all the wine to seam restaurants, those conventional wines. And then there's natural wine a tell you what the differences between the two but other problems associated with wine, and this is particularly harmful to women more. So than men you guys are wired a little different. So is creeping alcohol levels so levels have gone up steadily over the last twenty years, particularly in domestic wines. But also worldwide we don't sell any wines over. Twelve and a half percent alcohol. Now is that because the types of wines that you source are lower now call or is that a standard we will not sell or drink a wine over twelve and a half percent alcohol and we sell wines as low as six percent. Most of the wines drink or between nine and a half and eleven percent alcohol. So once you get below nine percent doesn't taste like traditional wine anymore starts to taste kind of like a different type of beverage. Here's the problem with the creeping alcohol level so in domestic wind alcohol levels now are near fifteen percent on average that doesn't sound like eleven team. But it's a huge difference in the impact that has on your health and particularly your brain health. And so we recommend look alcohol is a very dangerous drug alcohol is a very dangerous neuro toxin, we think a lot about the dosage of alcohol, and this is very important. We know that. Moderate very moderate amounts of alcohol, and particularly red wine are healthy for you. This is a pretty agreed on fact, what we also know is that too high a dose of alcohol is unhealthy and particularly for women in increasing cancer rates. Couple questions come up before we get too far. The first is natural lines. Is that a label that's governed? So if I if I find a natural wine here, if I live in the United States, and I find a line that's labeled natural wine is that a term. That's regulated by the FDA this not regulated any we're here in the world. It is a generally accepted term, okay. In the one world, two main winds made to mean wines grown and ferment it with very specific natural wind protocols, but there's no one governing that that. My second question is when it comes to the term moderation or lower dosage, I think that's where we. Get in trouble. I have a friend who happens to be a psychologist, and she said to me the other day. I can't tell you. How many women come in and suggests that they have an occasional glass of wine. But when I did a little deeper there, really drinking like half a bottle or even a whole bottle at night. So how is raising every day too. So how do we find that? Let's start with that. You know? I mean, your your guy who you have a vested interest in people drinking more wine ado, but I'm also the first guy tell you. It's a very dangerous drug. I'm probably the only person in the wine business. It tells you should drink less to one of the reasons why have you on the show because I appreciate that transparency. I've draped between half a bottle and a bottle per day. That's with a meal only drink at dinner that's over a course of three or four hours. So many glasses are in a half a bottle about two and a half to three glasses depending upon the poor size. So did you say that you drink a bottle a day between a half a bottle? On a bottle per day. Most unless I'm fasting. Well, even like three glasses of wine sounds like a lot to me. Well at eleven percent. It's totally different experience than a traditional wine. You don't have the same negative impact. This is see most people don't have a class. They have several. This is the reason it's super important to know the alcohol amount contained in the wine. And by the way, there's another little government trick. Here. The alcohol stated on a bottle of wine by law is not required to be accurate, which is why we do lab tests. Yes. As this is crazy collusion between the wine industry and the US government. So let me repeat the alcohol stated on the bottle, which most people don't pay any attention to in the first place true. But if they wanna drink healthy, they says is a real key. Point to think about here's the problem. The amount of alcohol stated on the bottle bylaws not required to be accurate, and it is generally rounded down in NBA as much as a percentage and a half and still be legal. So it could say fourteen percent on the bottle. And in fact, be fifteen and a half percent. You wouldn't know which is why at dry farm wines. We lab test every wine we sell let is it your lab testing the winds four and we're looking for a number of things in the lab tests. We're looking for chemicals and additives and pesticides. We're looking for sugar all of our winds are sugar free. I wanna stop there. Because that to me didn't make sense. I'm like, wait a second. How could it be sugar free? If it's made from fermented grapes. Right. So it's the number one question, we get how are you wind sugar free? And so here's how wine is made. And there's a key distinction here between conventional wines. And natural line. And I'll come at as well. But first of all, let's talk about the sugar free element. When a wine is made, you take grape juice, which is teeming with sugar. It's very sweet ILD was shoulder the yeast eats the sugar the byproduct of that is ethyl alcohol and carbon dioxide now if a wine is allowed to fully ferment, and what that means is that the yeast eat all of the available sugar that's known as a fully ferment and wine in which case there will be no sugar left in the wine. The yeast will eat at all and the east will then die. That's a fully fermented wine. What's happening in commercial wines and conventional wines, Mary often is that the winemaker is using sulfur dioxide to kill the yeast prior to it completing firm. Station leaving residual sugar behind in the wine, and they doing that to speed up the process what's the benefit of using sulfates. Well, there's a number of times that Saudi oxide gets added to commercial in conventional wines any number of times. But one of the times commonly is to kill the yeast to stop the fermentation leaving residual sugar behind. And here's why they're leaving residual shorter behind because it makes for a richer bolder, more, dense wine and Americans. Love bold, rich, dense taste that helped break breakthrough their dead palette that has been killed from eating too much sugar. A lot of processed foods. It's so the typical American powders while also global problem is is quite deadened where you eat clean you eat lighter, fresher foods as. As we do. Right. Then you're powder is more sensitive as more alive. We're not seeking boater richer darker thinking lighter, fresher cleaner, and so for most of your listeners who eat a healthier lifestyle with whole real foods, then we taste differently than the average person because our taste buds will recover if they've been damaged. They will recover over time and women happen to have more sensitive taste buds than men. So that's a real advantage. That women have is that they actually taste higher better flavors than men. Do if we're talking about a wine that is not a dry, farm wine. For example, EMI obviously just said domestic wind here in the US of sugar content. Should we be aware because it's not on the label? What should we be expecting? Or what should we know is the average amount of sugar in domestic wine and so sugar in winds conventional winds can range. Categorically sugar and wines can range from zero which is our wind to as much as three hundred grams per leader for dessert wines and icewines now to give you a reference point. He said dessert wines has yet and say swines icewines or a late harvest wine, this type of desert line, they're very very very sweet. Right. And so at the high end, these are all dessert wines, three hundred grams per liter and to give you a reference point Coca Cola has one hundred and thirty two grams per liter, right, so, but it's very common for conventional store-bought wines to have sugar from five to fifty grams per liter, right, and I'm Kita genetic and much audiences low carb paleo, they're all people who are interested in healthy diet. And most of them are interested in a very low sugar intake in my particular case because Kita genyk. And I'm actually just rabidly against sugar. I don't eat sugar in any form or shape. And so a great deal of effort to be sugar free. Therefore, I don't wanna drink sugar and also sugar would take me out of Kito Sa's, Sharon, well, and we, you know, whether you're in some of his fellow Kita genyk lifestyle or just someone who's trying to improve their gut health and their overall health. I mean, one thing everyone can agree upon is that as a society, we hearken swimming way way way too much sugar and sugar is highly inflammatory, and it's hidden in so many of the things that we consume and don't even realize how much sugar we're consuming. So if there is a viable healthier way to consume the things that we love that are lower in sugar. Nassir Justin that everyone needs to be you know, ketogenic, but I think we can all agree. We all need to get really serious about taking steps to reduce inflammation. And that we know the culprit there is sugar. So when we're talking about. Wines at are sold here in the grocery store, and you know, I I know you're in the business importing wines. But are there any wines? You're on the market where they are voluntarily supplying their ingredients on the label and producing a natural sugar, free wine. Absolutely not and also wanna make another. Yes, absolutely. Not wanna make another point clear there to other points. One a wine can contain sugar, and you can't even taste it. Because the acid levels in wine are high same thing Coca-Cola because the sorbic acid, you know, you couldn't drink if not for the acid you couldn't drink a coke. It would be too sweet right in so acid, just like when you make lemonade, and you put sugar into lemon juice. It's the wild before you can say the sugar is still so sour same kind of concept and wine, so not even weaken tastes the sugar and wine. The only way we know why is sugar free is the lab tested and not all natural wines or sugar free. This is how to be a requirement so dry farm wines the wines that we drink and so our have criteria over and above just being natural. We have another set of criteria. That winds have to meet in order to be an our portfolio because we're super helpful Matic's. Which is why we're endorsed as you know, about virtually every forward-looking health leader in the states. That's pretty powerful to clarify for our listeners. I was under the. Assumption that you were growing and bottling wine. That's what dry farm wines was. But that's not the case. So tell us how it is you curate your wines. So we work with we do not sell any domestic wines. There are no wines made in the United States that meet our strict, health, impurity standards. We work with about three hundred small family farms, primarily in Europe, four in South Africa in two and Chile and the balanced spread across Europe. These are very very small. You can't make natural wines and very large quantity. They're very small family farms. They're all organic or Bowden amicably grown. We do not grow the wines. In some cases, winds are made specifically for us in to our criteria. But not made by us. So we curate these wines across Europe these natural wine. Farmers are all kind of networked together. They know each other right because. They've largely been ostracised by the conventional wine industry, and also even by their neighbors who think they're kind of crazy for farming organically, and and not using any additives not using any treatments to the line to because it's very difficult is risky to make these wines without the use of chemicals wines inherently have all kinds of things that can go wrong with them, particularly with bacterial issues, and what are called faults in wine in many natural wines. Have in fact, some classic fault. We don't buy those wine. So we work with these farms. We taste the wine. We do lab testing known it if it meets our tastes criteria. We're super fanatic about taste as well. If it meets our taste profile, and then it clears all of our lab tests. Then we bring that wine into our portfolio. Now, we may by this vintage we may not buy it next year. It made tastes differently. We might not like the way it tastes next year. It may not clear labs next year. They have some not all natural winds are low in alcohol their natural wines. That are fifteen sixteen seventeen percent alcohol if I can what percentage of wines, will you reject or don't meet your criteria. So we reject about fifty percent of the wines that we taste on lab results. And why would we reject about fifty percent on taste and a hundred percent of the wines? That are made domestically. Do you think they will come time? We'll be able to of course, it's wonderful. The support, you know, small farms here in the United States. You think they will? How are you, sir? Right now, we we're we're talking with two now that have agreed to meet our standards. And so I expect some time later this year we will bring a couple in. We listen we would love to have domestic wine, but it must meet all of our criteria in. The fact is very very little does another criteria. We have which is very very important to us and should be important everyone for their health is that the winds be dry farmed. So the name of your company, you took from a term farming term is that accurate or maybe I should ask what is dry farming. There's over ninety nine percent of US vineyards are irrigated in now. It's opposite that in Europe in most of Europe, it is actually a crime to irrigate grapevine, right? Great buys been growing over ten thousand years all over the earth without irradiation. And in fact, you're Gatien didn't come to the United States until nineteen. Eighteen seventy three for great farming prior to that all US vendors were also dry farmed. Now, the reason dry farm is we could go down a wormhole irrigation. Why dry farming is so critical, but the two primary reasons are that the anti oxidants the polyphenyls over eight hundred polyphenyls the most famous one is called resveratrol, but they're over eight hundred polyphenyls in red wine just over two hundred white wines. Then I'll tell you why a moment, but which is why red wines are thought the healthy these antioxidants polyphenols are significantly reduced with irrigation. Now common sense will tell you that when you fill a great berry with water, it dilutes, everything inside the fruit, including the antioxidants. There's another reason that these antioxidant polyphenols do not develop the same in an irrigated grapevine is wells because in an era gated grapevine the root ball. Is about two or three feet in diameter and about three feet deep. Okay. In an underrated grapevine the root structure can span as much as forty or fifty feet deep and that struggle, so the Anura gated grapevine, the reason the these little capillaries are breaking apart tiny bits of rock and soil is it's in desperate. Search struggling to find water and nutrient will you see an irrigated grapevine does not do that in irrigated grapevine gets all of its food. It's nutrient and all of its water from a little drip hose above the truck. Route structure is very very small. It also has a significant, and the reason that's not the reason that see legal in Europe, the reasons see legal in Europe is because it dramatically affects the character end, the taste of the fruit and Glenn quality of the wine. Now, why do you arrogate it's about? Money. Of course, it you have higher yield. It's easier and the fruit weighs more. Because when you fill a fruit berry with water it weighs a lot more. Right. We'll fruit sold by the time. So that's why Urugay higher yield for have. The end result is a lower quality fruit with actually less health value. Okay. I'm going to ask this question. Even though I feel like it's probably a dumb question. But what is the difference between red wine and white wine? Why is red wine better for us? How red wine gets its color is also why it's much higher in these antioxidants and polyphenyls red wine gets its color from contact from the skin. So when winds are made when you squeeze the juice from a white wine grape and the juice from red wine grape, they are both clear. How red wine gets its color is that once the juice the clear juice press from the fruit. The skins are added back into the tank for a period of maceration and the skins. In fact, our wear the color from red wine comes from his contact with the skin white wine doesn't have any skin contact is just a free run juice us reason, it's clear how dramatic is the difference health benefits in may be in terms of polyphenyls or reserve tall the difference between a red and a white and request specifically for talking about a dry farm wine while there's no reservoir troll in white wines. None. Okay. Well, there you go. Well, that's just one of their just over two hundred of these antioxidant and polyphenols and flavonoids in white wine. There are over eight hundred in red wine and the difference comes from the contact with the skin in the seeds. That's where the additional. Health benefits come from for choosing to drink wine and thinking about the health benefits. It's better in your estimation. If I hear what you're saying to choose a red wine was not biased emissions. The scientific fact, and so no one would dispute that claim people might dispute whether or not winds healthier not that they wouldn't dispute the claim that red wine is healthier when we're talking about the health benefits of a red wine. I think we just have to put it out there just like talking about the health benefits of coffee. Just read a recent study about the benefits of dark roast. But when we're talking about the health benefits of say, coffee or wine or anything for that matter, not all consumables are created equal. So we really can't talk about the health benefits of a red wine, frankly, that's manufactured here in the United States. Because we don't know what's in it. You don't listen in and the government, listen, we would love to. I mean, we believe that every wine bottle should have contents label on it. And the fact is every time you open up a wine bottle. You have no idea you have no idea what you're drinking. Unless of course, because I think it's only fair to say that there are some wineries who are doing this voluntarily labeling their wind voluntarily. I've not seen a single label with Kant. There's one winery in California that reportedly claims to put a label I've never seen it. But you would be hard pressed to find any. I've never seen an ingredients label on a bottle of wine. I mean, I've seen some in Europe. I've never seen a domestic wind with and they're very very few in Europe. The US wine industry has lobbied aggressively. There have been a number of efforts to have them list. Content, and they have been successfully defeated think about like mine experts like Asami, a you say it. Yes. Would they be able to tasted and? Smell a distinct difference. Would they turn their nose up at a dry farm? You know, they're all classically trained in classic wines. You know, call lines that are created domestically or all over the world domestically internationally, but they're classically trained. Those winds are not cleaner natural many of them contain additives. Now, there's an emerging, you know, a lot of farm-to-table restaurants. Now, if you live in progressive, marketplace's there, you know, there are natural winds coming onto restaurant list. But it's typically going to be in a very specific type of a restaurant, which isn't going to be a higher end kind of middle to higher end farm-to-table where they're really really sensitive about what they're sourcing. And when you and your wife are our dining, actually, I don't know. Are you married? I'm not married. Okay. So when you and your girlfriend are enjoying a lovely dinner. I don't know. Maybe it's a boyfriend no judgment here on this show. Oh, but either way when you're out with friends. Do you bring your own bottle of dry farm? Okay. It's kind of a cool thing. Like the first time. Someone told me you could bring your own bottle of wine. I'm like, are you sure and I've been doing it lately. And I I feel like I'm breaking lob. It depends on where you live. So I live in California, and every restaurant in California, virtually allows cork age is the official term if I'm going to restaurants. I've never been just call them in advance. It's almost always allowed. There's usually a charge between fifteen and twenty five dollars. But no wine on the list is going to be an nice restaurant. You're not gonna find bottles on the list for usually less than forty or fifty dollars. So even by the time, our winds cost on average twenty two dollars a bottle. So then you add another twenty dollars in you're still at forty two dollars. Even if you carry in your own wine, but I wanna carry. Him on why because I want to drink healthy wines, clean wines. And so, but different states have different laws. Some states do not allow cordage and some states customarily the restaurant tours are more open to it than others. But most states do and you just call the restaurant and asked what they're Corky policy is. Why is it when I drink a dry farm line? I don't have any hangover. I don't have any headache. And I would always experience that with domestic lines. Well, there's several reasons so first of all as we've already talked about their lower in alcohol. This makes a huge huge difference. I know it doesn't sound like there are a lot lower. But it makes a huge difference alcohol. Creates dehydration dehydration. Creates waking you up in the middle of the night. And also creates hangovers the other big problem with conventional wines are bio-genetic Amin 's and the two primary offenders are tire remain. And histamine women aren't meticulous successful to this. These are generally much higher in red wines because it can be exacerbated by the skin contact if it's too long. Okay. So I've heard that the darker a red wine the better the quality. Is that true? There's no truth to that statement at all. In fact, I just the contrary, but how winds get darker is by having these extended maceration extended contact with skin. So these conventional wines are having much longer skin contact therefore histamine entire is very much elevated in these wines. In addition to that color agents like dis are put into wine to make them darker. Have you ever gotten? Like a food coloring like we're literally they're adding color to wind power agent. The most of most popular ones called mega purple misses. An additive to wine have you ever gotten purple teeth thread teeth stained teeth from drinking red wines? Probably. Okay. Well, you wouldn't get those are wines. They don't stain your teeth red one our red wine, don't but most often these stain our personal teeth are coming from these added color agents from making wine darker because again Americans believe the door. Red wine is the higher the quality. That's not true. So anyway, this longer maceration on the skin the soaking on the skin also creates a door for wine. It also raises the tire main histamine levels in wine. So this is reason women in particular have a very difficult time with red wind more so than white wines. Now, it's commonly thought this is not true that the Saul fights are causing these problems. But sulfide. Rates are actually higher in white wines than red wines. Let's talk about sulfites for second all wine bottles. Bob law contain the disclosure that the wine contains Saul fights will solve fights or contained in all ferment products. Soil fights are a naturally occurring compound during the fermentation process of the issue in conventional wines is whether or not sulfur dioxide is introduced to the wine to sterilize and preserve it. Most all wines have high doses of software the oxide, these can also cause people to feel bad natural wind do not contain these added sulfites. But until they adding sulphites to the is is that part of the process to speed up, the fermentation, it is not it doesn't speed it up. What it does? Is it sterilizes the wine and makes it shelf safe? So that it makes it tastes. Very consistent. Right. So every bottle tastes consistent year after year. It's consistent sits on the shelf for a long time. It's consistent because the winds men sterilized when the sulfur dioxide national wiser not like that does that mean that natural wines don't have the same shelf life that they won't last as long as one way that doesn't it doesn't mean that it just means that natural winds have they taste different. As you noted for the taste of our wind. They're more soulful the have an energy they've not been killed. They've not been mummified McDonald's. And this is what they do to conventional commercial winds mummified that kill the wine. And then they won the super consistent kinda McDonnell is taste, right? They don't contain any life or energy natural wines, have Seoul and kind of energy. They're still alive. I would also tell you another primary gut benefit, and Dr David Pearl mater has published on this any number of times about natural wines. And he also endorses dry farm wines. Is that when you sterilize the wine, you're also killing lots and lots of gut friendly microbiome bacterias that are in the so lab tests have shown that natural wines, which are still alive and teaming with these bacteria or very beneficial to the gut bile, and these elements have benefit had been removed from commercial wine to the sterilization process. Wow. That's. Pretty powerful. I want to ask you. I think the average person assumes that, you know, we're being protected by our government, and you know, wine in of itself wouldn't have all these additional ingredients was there ever a time in the United States when we were doing this a little better where it wasn't so commercialized where wine was perhaps healthier for us than with available domestically today. Absolutely absolutely up until fifty years ago or so all winds were natural wise. We're also on irrigated. They were dry farmed in the United States. Why we're also much lower alcohol in the United States. Now as I said, they average almost fifteen percent. But in the nineteen seventies prior to nine thousand nine hundred seventy s early nineteen seventies. Most of the wines in the US were also twelve and a twelve and a half percent. Those who are interested in trying dry farm wines. When they go to the website is it possible to just select one bottle. Is that the only way to get joy farm wines? Are they available from a retail aspect or other Spencer bars that are serving it? No. So I wanted we don't sell any of our wines to restaurants or to retailers. So the only way to get wine from us is to buy directly from us or from from our website. So we're a wine club. There are two ways to get wine from us. We're a wine club. So we're members get regular shipments on any frequency. They want to their right to their doorstep. And the reason that we're a wine club is because we irregular drinkers were regular wine-drinkers. And we wanted to help other regular wine drinkers, right? And so we can do the most amount of help and help the most amount of people who are regular wine-drinkers. That's really our audience. But none being said, so if you've got our website. Where wine club if sign up for our mail list. Our Email list on our website, then we do one time promotions throughout the month that allow you to buy wine without a subscription. Now, if you do subscribe, and you want to stop or pause or cancel we don't make that difficult. You could sign up for our wine club and cancel the same day as do approximately twelve percent of our purchasers because they want to try our wine go in and they sign up for the club. They get a box shipped, and then they cancelled the same day or the next day because they just want to get a box and try it. And then I'll bet you hundred bucks that they re sign up. Yeah. It's it's super easy to resume your shipment. So we're not trying to trick people into a membership or make it difficult to get out of. And also I'd mentioned that we have one hundred percent happiness guarantee. So any bottle of wine or basa why? And you don't like we'll give you money back or replace. For free. No questions asked. The minimum number of bottles that someone what does the membership? Look like, we have two levels of membership six bottles or twelve and that can be monthly every other month quarterly. You can order any frequency you want. Most of our customers get wind monthly or every other month and about half of them get sick about the other half get twelve and we have some customers that get up to four or five cases per month chair. Right. So they drink a bottle a day. And so we're able to have the highest health impact on people who were regular drinkers right who drink wine on a regular basis air become today's and those are people who find it convenient and most cost effective to just subscribe to our wine club are winds are not expensive either particularly for a fine handcrafted products. So our winds average twenty two dollars a bottle an inch. Thing is that we curate every box. Every shipment is curated with different wines. From around the world. You can set up your chip to get all ran all white or mixed. And then throughout the month. We have special offers on sparkling or rose as and those are go out over our mail list. So I haven't tried any of those. Yeah. So and then we do holiday packages and all kinds of things throughout the year. You can do gifting and all kinds of things. But if you just go to our website, then you're going to sign up for our membership, as you know, as thousands and thousands of people do every I signed up. I wasn't sure I didn't know what they would taste like, I didn't know. I had no idea how much wine we might drink in as I said, I'm not crazy about one. I always have it here. In case, we have guests over so my first shipment. The six bottles arrived, I took one sip of the first one. And I was like what the this is so different. It's literally so different. A completely different smell of different taste. I enjoyed it. Immediately. Sometimes I felt like I was trying to like, I don't know force down wine, then the next day having no hangover was crazy exciting. So I immediately as I do with anything I fall in love with started like telling all my friends like you've got to try this and bringing them over bottles. And then I realized sometimes it's a bad idea to share because then we didn't have any wine. I was like I finally found this wine I love. But now, I I've given away all my bottles are shared all my bottle. So we quickly had a, you know, say okay, how do we get another shipment pretty quickly? And she said, you know, what this is it's like looking through a perfectly clear glass window, and I thought that is a wonderful way to describe it. It just feels clear and clean. And you just don't get that. Same. Toxicity. The I think. Alignment and people yet the primary complaint week, it is I can't drink conventional wind anymore. It's. So. I can't sellers or you know, they're like, you know, what I do with this Wina have. He's like I can't drink it as terrible. You know, it's, but yeah, that's a great analogy. Confidence From Within with Karmin Habibi
"Even as an introvert. I'm giving me so much grace to build communities. Wherever i am but every time i tried to fit in somewhere i lose my confidence. And that's why i believe i do today what i do because i'm i'm a confidence coach and it's because i know how it feels to be insecure. I know the impact of insecurities that it has on your impact and your income and the cost on the renewed person. Now i'm not. I want everybody to know the true identity. Our identity is not based on our title our status that the place that we were born in our material possession but knowing true our identity who we are in god who got created us to beat so that's really more mission you're listening to the heath fluids podcast in we're having candidate and actionable conversations about your health relationships business and ministry and now here's your host the second chance coach. Michael david huey welcome to another session of the heap fluence podcast. It's a cloudy day here in florida. And i always tell my wife like i always say talk about the weather because i think a lot of people are affected by the weather right. Like if if you know if it's funny if you live in a cloudy state where it rains all the time it affects you. If you live in a sunny state you get vitamin d and your lot. Healthier right like and so My guest today is halfway around the world so You know she's she's i don't even Carmen what what timeframe are you on. Today alone were talking. Well it's eight. pm here insane okay. Eight pm on wednesday. Correct still yes. Okay good so it's Two pm so six hours ahead of us here in the united states so one of the so one of the things is that carmen i were. We carried away talking before we jumped on. And that's okay so but carman is a speaker in teacher. She's an entrepreneur. She's an author One of the things. I like that. She's shared stages with some of the some of my heroes. Some people that Are probably her heroes too. And when you get to stare when you get to stand on a stage before. People who've rather books like brian tracy and robert chiaki to you know i. I read recently last year. Read brian tracy's book goals. And i don't just read it. I implemented things that he shared right. And and you know rich dad. Poor dad like you know who hasn't read that. Right like you know like by robert kentucky and sharon lechter right like just a combination with sharing lecture and and you know been listening to her on clubhouse recently and getting to know her a little bit and one of my close friends dr janey lacy was interviewing her on her podcast the other day and so just being able to connect with people and i connected with carmen clubhouse and i was like you have to come on. I want to interview. I want to get to know you and i was like. I don't care if nobody else's podcast. I just want to get to know you. And so and and we'll probably get a dive into some of the things she's been going through some changes Which we agreed or good changes. Because god is bringing the right people into her life and into her business and keeping the wrong people out and i think as you listen to this as as you know I get asked this question all the time and a they're like. Hey you know. Aren't you afraid that you're not going to you. Know you're going to only have half of the business that you want to have because you talk about your faith so much and you might scare people off. I said look. I would rather stand before god one day and know that i didn't deny god before man because the bible says he'll deny me before the father i can. I can be confident in that. I'm never pushy or persuasive. I'm info i'm influential. I i. I am growing and learning every single day surrounded myself around with some different people that are that are encouraging me. Were talking before carmen. And i were talking at before. That and so I am super excited. That carmen is here today. And i'm super excited. She's gonna share a story. Because i was just share this and you're probably listening We do it on video. So i get to see her and she gets to see me. And we know pas emphasis and emotions. We use these for lead ins like today as one of my episodes use. It goes live on wednesday. And i'm interviewing carmen on wednesday today and My my episode. that goes live with my friend. Nico low shoe as been On clubhouse and i. I'm pretty sure common knows who she is. Not a lot of people. Do she shaking her head. Yes so And one of the things is that now Nico is working with my coach. Israel duran and actually this saturday on clip breakfast with champions They'll be interviewing each other on there. And i'm excited to hear that but what i'm excited to hear is from carmen heavy. And she is an amazing. I just said this to her. She's beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside and i think that as you hear her speak. You're going to hear the person that loves god with a passion. And i was. I was looking. It's really funny. I was looking at her instagram. I was stalking her on instagram. No i really wasn't. It was just funny but but hey how do we How do we get to know people. We get to know people by listening. And and when i was reading about her last name how you have and i was asking her making sure that i said it right earlier. It's the arabic word that literally means my love right and what greater way to understand her. Is you know we are. We are people will know us by our fruits right but they will know us most we we know most of all by love how we love people right. I always say this You know my number one goal. I was listening to donell delgado yesterday on clubhouse and denial was going through a list of these things and People were taking notes right like everybody was taking notes yesterday and One of the things that i was laughing about was everybody. I asked for a copy of her notes. Everybody was trying to send them to me right now. I was like you know i was. I was trying to write it down. And i was like okay. I'm just going to reach out to now and ask her for the notes right because she said one thing that she said as she she said. You wanna build your mental armor You wanna remember that nothing is neutral you wanna speak life and she said cheer people on daily and so my goal now is cheer people in daily so carmen. I'm excited to hear about you. Welcome to the podcast. It's great to have you thank you for being here with me today while thank you so much michael. I'm so grateful to be here. Speaking to your definitely have been cheering me on like yesterday. Were in a room to get on clubhouse camera and you are definitely a cheerleader. You speak the right things at the right time. And i'm so grateful to be in this podcast with you and one of the things before we started said this beautiful word which is intention. And that's one of the things that i got from you. What i get from your podcast. What you wanna bring here to. Your audience is in being intentional. I want to be very intentional. That the time that we're gonna spend together that whoever's gonna listen to this they're gonna take something out from this a steal something inside of me to move into action because information without implementation gonna be useless so that's my intention from this talk today so good. That's so good i i. I interviewed a young christian entrepreneur on my twenty seven years old pastor's son. His name's daniel quack. And i interviewed him on my podcast. And you're smiling. You probably know who he has. He said he said to me mike. Do you know the difference between wisdom and knowledge. And i said i think i do and i said i think it's action. And he said hundred percent you can have all the wisdom and all the knowledge in the world but if you don't take action on what you learn then it's just a word and it's like It's like analysis paralysis right so I wanna get to know carmen. So why don't you tell me like a little bit about yourself. tell me your story. 'cause i here's something i learned in before you share this. I yesterday was monday monday on breakfast. With champions glenn finished the Time segment telling a story about where we gave him three different things. I don't know if you've had a chance to listen to it. But it was really really good and his so he he said somebody give me a person and someone said bruce lee and someone and then he asked me for an object and i said basketball and then he asked my friend. David spe- sack For a an emotion and it was limiting beliefs literally for the next five minutes. Glenn told his story using those three different things and love. That and i was completely blown away. I was like dangling. Texted him in the back channel. Saying wow that was incredible. And i think you said this and this is muted steven kuhn. My friend steven kuhn challenged me to use smaller introductions about my story but i wanna hear your real story. You're longer story today. But he said bigots simple when you when you're introducing yourself when somebody says. Hey michael what do you do. I'm an intentional connector. I'm an intentional connector. I love to lift people up and build them up I'm working on things. That i can become better at But i'm an intentional connector. So i'm excited to hear about who communist so tell me like you know your background like where you came from. And then we'll dive into some more of that stuff. Because i like it that you brought up intentionally when we may just dive into that a little bit but let me tell me a little bit about the beautiful soul that you are where you came from and where you are now. You're very kind. Thank you so much michael. Yes so i love that. You're used very simple. Your an intentional connector. It made me think what. I'm i actually because we're constantly unfolding. And if i were to describe myself it would be. I am an a equip and empower woman to lead in their sphere of influence by bringing by utilizing getting close to god ultimately. My goal is to not lead people to me but to lead it to lead to source directly. And i do this through the goal. Get club. So i'm a goal getter and i have a goal. Get club where. I helped people enterpreneur. Est do exactly that we every day get into the playground and we just equip ourselves and i just like if i were to start my job. I'm the image cheerleader. I will be your biggest cheerleader. No matter what. I can see if you see yourself at the lowest. I always see you at your highest no matter what so To give it a little bit context about you know my background. i'm originally from sudan. I don't know if you guys know anything about saddam if you michael no africa. It's toast to egypt. Spawning sudan ended from sudan to germany from germany. I lifted germany. Seventeen years germany moved to the uk. My dad started businesses in the uk. And then i started a university in in london started my business in london and now i call myself just the freedom women. I'm an international free women's. I'm little right now. Here in spain and i organize retreats and events and that's why he in spain So yeah i really have a home. Is that what you're telling me. i have a home. Everyone and you put me anywhere. I'll be fine it's funny. You said sudan. Germany london and now spain. So i'm just wondering like you don't really call home in his specific place right. Oh no home is where this true where my people like. I build communities. Wherever i go i start with nothing and wherever like here in spain been for over one year which is also another story because last year came fain to organize my retreat and murphy it was supposed to happen in march and then people blocked down and i lost in one month. A lost over thirty thousand pounds. I the deposit of the leiden get it back. I got. I wasn't able to fly back to london so i had to isolate your own my own And for two months. I feel like there was a time or god was just preparing me to whatever like the business. He was just healing me during this time. And i was completely isolated from everything that i know and i could have blamed god-like. I'm losing this money on music business like what's happening. But that was a time where he was building the And he said to me. I'm gonna restore everything to you. I'm gonna restore your finances. Everything that you lost. You're gonna get it all back hundredfold so i'm still. He's showing me keep strong meet. Up is coming back so a year later. I did not know that. I was still being spain so over the spirit of time. I made friends obviously london. It's raining the wettest cold. I'm here living close to the beach. Living my best select. I like being locked down here. I'm gonna stay into say. What did you say. The season is like now in spain. Right now what what year are they. What season in right now summer. Okay all right. It's so beautiful Flight five minutes from the beach and of got i built my community unintentionally. I've got now. Spanish clients who hire me as confidence coach old. My last garcetti. Lift here with the Confidence coach without me even promoting itself. And that's the spirit of god because it's not by what i say to them is how we show up in the world and that's what you make them feel right. It's not always about what you say to them about how you make them feel right nothing. There's something different like you're in standards. Certain culture like this. The spanish culture to drink the love to taty. They love to do certain things. And i don't drink anymore. I don't do all the stakes elect. Is something different about your always so happy. Tell me what's what's what's this about so spanish and you speak english. And what else do you speak. Spanish and english. Yes okay so you're working on your fourth language. That's pretty impressive. As yet but to like so oldest transitions from me to go from sudan to germany from germany to the uk every transition. I tried to get into the country to the culture to the environment. And every time i tried to adopt two places. I tried to look like the people that aren't in place that tried to talk like them be like them. But then i lost myself. I lost my identity. I didn't know i was so it created a lot of insecurities inside of me. So i always. I tried every time i tried to fit into a community. I always i was always dimissed it. I never fitted into a community. Until i realized that got the degrade to fit in anywhere. I am here. I'm a community builder. I am the one supposed to played come in sets from. It's easy to go anywhere and build a community around the even as introvert saw. Yeah i'm not extra. The presence like going out all the time even as introverted. I'm got giving me so much grace to build communities. Wherever i am but every time i tried to fit in somewhere i lose my confidence. And that's why i believe i do today what i do because i'm a confidence coach. It's because i. I know how it feels to be insecure. I know the impact of insecurities that it has on your impact and your income. And because i'm a renewed person now i'm not. I want everybody to know that true identity that our identity is not based on our title our status that the place that we were born in our material possession but knowing through our identity who we are in god who got created us to be so. That's really not more my mission to bring this kind of confidence in people love that i love that and i think that's super important Creating culture and community is a big thing right like And and to be honest with you. The hardest thing i think for entrepreneurs is staying in their lane right like you were talking about. You know you adapting to your identity and so I wrote that down. So let's talk about that. Let's talk about our identity because You know for me Even to since last month and last two months last couple of months. I've had massive identity shifts even to s- morning be honest with you. I began to look at look at myself and and find out the areas in my life. That i was falling short. You know in areas that. I could be better. You know. it's it's you know. I tell you when you when you whether you are married or single. Whatever you do. You're never none of us promise tomorrow. I mean i say this all time you know. I don't think i would ever having been my wife. Could walk away tomorrow or something. She could die or whatever that may be. I have to see my identity and not how anybody else sees me. But how god sees me right and My friend todd. White is a pastor local pastor here in the united states into fraud white. Todd white todd white. I'm listening to him every day. Yes so so i. I met todd through One of my friends. Theo kelly honest pastors. Todd's church and In dallas fort worth area right and so todd has a video talking about identity right and about how our identity is not in man and i. I spoke churches past week in. And then i want you to comment on this How your identity has changed in. How now you see yourself as the person that you see yourself and that's important to talk a little bit about that. Because i think what's important is once. We realized that our identity is in god and in christ it changes. Our life changed the way we talk changes the way we eat You know. I spoke at a conference weeks ago. And i i talked about how god honors how we take care of our body right. I've seen some pictures of you. You know how you changed your you know your physical body and how you've got healthier and you've worked on that and and i think what's important is is even with me like i i. I'll be fifty three soon. I feel thirty. Why because i've made it a priority. Knowing that god honors how i take care of my temple right and so our identity is is i right now i wrote. I write things on my mirror and my wife does too about so that i can remind myself of my identity can remind myself of things i need to focus on so when you think about your identity now compared to where it used to be talked a little bit about that in the shifts and changes that are happening in your life in your business and how you're walking in it differently now than you did before 'cause i've heard you talk about and unite talked about it the other day on clubhouse so talk about mellow it's very interesting. I have several experiences i had. Of course my personal experience. Which i'm going to be speaking about but also have the perspective of i've been working for over ten years in the personal development industry and a for for one of the loudest events promoting companies that brings the biggest speaker such as tony robbins onstage. Those big like actually tony robbins organization. company started working in ten years ago. So i have the span of time where i have witnessed transformation at witnessed thousands of people's transformation. I become really good at observing people and seen what works. And what doesn't end for myself as well scoring through my own personal transformation of realize that. There's a missing link that there's there's two ways to do something. I can do my own strengths. Which is my ego. Yes in armagh goal. That i set myself goals. Go off to them. I take action achieve my goals. But then when i get there. What's what's next. How am i gonna feel. I'm gonna feel content with it the second the second way to do it is which i have learned now over the past two years because i got Reborn got baptists again. Two years ago and my whole life completely changed as a result of this whole business has changed. And i got this new identity. the transformation linked and puzzle. What i believe this missing in in personal development in general which is including god inviting guts into my personal growth journey inviting into my business and surrendering letting him leave me having a personal relationship with god. So that's the thing because we tried to look for books. We tried to look for you. Know healing coaches mentor. We can. it's all helping at some point. It gets gets a somewhere. But i found that only through personal relationship with god. He will even guide us to the ride. Because there's so many information out there and right now the biggest challenge in epidemic right now. Overwhelm overwhelm breeds insecurity. Doubts and fear. That's why i've seen over the years. People do the same courses over and again that comeback because they get this hide from events they get this motivation or even we can see people go to church over and over again but nothing is changing. So why is that. So i question all those things because this is the journey that i've gone through as well where i feel like i go one step forward two steps bags and it's until i you know it's overwhelmed is comes when have too much information but it's not about just getting information it's about. I'm learning the things that we already know. So when we speak about identity. It's not about me. You know getting getting getting things because right now. We are in consumer age. So it's about learning the things that are false. Our habits are were no mindset beliefs. The things that we think about ourselves in the way that we've been brought up like i am the only person in sudan. That does what i do like. I wrote a book i i. I haven't met anyone from sudan. Does what i do if i would have had my identity as justice sudanese woman. I wouldn't be able to do what i'm doing today so it is It is on learning appealing peeling the layers. So we can allow god to create a new space and if this new found identity in him and that's the coverage of the unfolding journey and it's such a. It's one of the most beautiful things inspire fresh like. I'm speaking to you here right now. Shared with you that. I'm currently going through a big challenge in my life like i'm not speaking from like all look at me. I've got all the experience this year said. No it's a constant involvement. Because i just got back test two years ago and right now my my whole business is going to a whole new transition. I'm releasing my old clients that are not aligned with my core values and now i'm getting in new clients reshaping building foundations that are gonna be lasting so before i had business foundations that were just giving me success to a certain degree. Now got a saying no. I'm gonna break everything down. Break even down to build you up again and that process in. I'm sorry i'm gonna be here. I'm gonna be talking veal. I'm not here to motivate you. Because i believe motivation is very short lasts. I'm just gonna give it to you the truth because that process is not comfortable that process a lot of people. Don't wanna take that journey. And that's what makes the true goal getter. Somebody that doesn't just want to set goals. That doesn't just wanna achieve goals. But somebody wants to maintain a in growth. And if you're anything like you wanna be able to stewart the things about giving you. I don't wanna just make money. I wanna be able to grow and invest my money into a true freedom live. I don't want to get my said summer buddy for the summer. I want to be healthy all year. Round and a belief that is feeding what it's about. You're so smart. you're so smart. I knew i knew you were smart. But now i know more about you and your more smarter than i thought. You're you're you're just in super impressive It's it's great to be around impressive people. It's great to be around so Let's next talk about so. I told Carmen that i we pray before we start that the holy spirit will lead us and guide us in directions. We say and so. I take notes. Here i've got a page and a half notes already and That's why do i. I look stuff up my phone and i take stuff here because usually we just take clips out of this for things and so people are going be watching the video. But they'll they'll know. Because i get to look at carmen and i get to hear. See her for emphasis. I get to see her beautiful facial expressions in how she's passionate about who she isn't what she's doing and how god is transforming her life because it even if i just heard her voice right i don't know if she's just telling me something but now i could get to see her paws and her passion her emotion about what's god's actually doing in her life and that is what's most important. That's what's most important and so you talked about core values You know for me. My core values are number. One is love honesty integrity and humility right. And so when you think about yours. Water carman's core values. What are some of the things that you that shift has happened in you. And i told her. I do fireside chat so She's pretty smart so kick show she'll kick in on this pretty quickly because she's talked about intention and i wrote down intention audi and she went right into that from the beginning without me even asking her about it and it's something i wrote down to talk about then i i wrote down identity and she started talking about identity halfway through so now i was gonna ask about core values which was the next thing i wrote down in. She brought it up. So let's dive into that a little bit about the importance of core values. And what they mean to you in the shift that you've used now in that process. Yeah so one of the things that i Believe and i teach my clients as well as your one decision away from a better life and we're we are some of the decisions that were making. I mean we're all different. We come all in different shapes size. ignore everything is different us but if there's one thing that got all of us it's a free will and that free will is choices and we make choices based on our bodies either like it or not so. I can have someone because a lot of people people everyday they like. All i want to be healthy. And that's one of my highest values. But then i look. It's two ways that you can tell how people value thinks we if it boils down to things how you invest your time and how you invest your money. I can look at your bank account and how you are investing your money. I know if you truly Your health because i could see the receipts. I can see if you're going to taco bell mcdonald's wherever he's going or if you actually do all the food right so it's Those are the things how your time. So the comment. Before was somebody that didn't i said i have certain by. For example relationship was my high spies. I would put business before family. That was one of the things that i used before. christ was. That's the one that i used to be and it brought me a lot of suffering. That's why i felt so much so many times. Lonely i could been a room of ten thousand people Connected and. I was many times in the room of ten thousand people being in the events industry so then when got changed me started to show me. What actually my true values are because metro values our relationship. Our connections are safe actually got got first before everything got first so when i make business decisions i always. I always see this alliance of god like now. I'm getting business. Opportunities and a lot of them are not aligned to me. They want to talk about crystals. That's what i do or horoscopes. That no i'm sorry not gonna support it. I respect but it's not. It's not me so it's making my decisions based on my body and you mentioned health because i loved when we're had we had this conversation before this the recording head while you were talking about so question about your health and i'm big believer in having a healthy body but before that before i got baptized was too unhealthy and because health wasn't one of my highest status. As a matter of fact. I used to smoke cigarettes. I used to smoke twenty cigarettes a day. I was addicted. I wasn't emotional. Eternal that from your is that big from your community like from the did you did that. Come from mike. The culture of sedan and that culture because it was just me. I don't think Being a smoker is coming from my coach. Actually not at all. I'm very untraditional sudanese woman. Because was to be traditional. I would be married at the age of eighteen. Have five children and was your was your original face with at the muslim faith or was it the hindu ducks orthodox christian sites greek kind of like the greek orthodox version. Okay buy yes. I grew up orthodox. But i never believed in religion like i always felt repel towards religion because i have friends from all around the world and i love old people and i felt that religion was separating people so it took me away for the away from god but then i discovered having a personal relationship with god. That was like a whole game for me. And that's when i found my identity so you were speaking about health because now that the thing is there's again two ways to do something can get pushed to do it that are wannabe. How funny can force yourself to go into crash diets and be super healthy. That way and it will be shortlisted or you can come from a place of. I don't have to do it. I want to do it so now that i know that the spirit of god is inside of meats. That's a temple. I'm just carrying this temple. He is inside of me. It's my duty. It's a gift from him. It's like if somebody gave you a precious gift you wouldn't destroyed in the corner you will take care of it. You get if gratitude to it. So not that. I know i had a gift inside of me. I want to take care of this temple. This is why. I want to be healthy. So it's it's a different way to come from values And yeah health is one of my highest bodies now. Impact growth is highest volume and make all my decisions all my business. Decisions are based on impact. Even this conversation we're having now. I know that you're about impact as well. You're about growth. That's why i want to be here talking to you and That's how i make my decisions. Yeah so good so good so good so smart. So let's let's finish with this. Let's let me think about this. Because i want to hear your massive impact when you think about this so which we've talked about identity. We've talked about core values a little bit so been in the personal development space for many years right. So why don't we finish talking a little bit about personal development. Why don't we hear the speaker carmen. Like the the onstage. Like bringing home something. I know if you're if you're listening you can't see carmen because she's smiling and laughing she's like what is michael going to make me do now right. And so One of the things. I think that's important is. Is that when you when you when you look at the things that she's done and the person that she's become you know. She's very unapologetic about her transition. And the change. That god has done in her right like i love everybody but i'm not going down that line because so many people you know like there's certain people that i won't mention their names but there's certain people that i love them but i think they have created their income there sorry about that their income in their impact from breathing from deteriorating off of god's word and starting different you know movements you know and i could go down that road of naming people. But i won't but but it's it's that i'm not going to be that person i'm not going to be the person that becomes a millionaire and forgets where i came from and denies god before man is on clubhouse in my cl- nothing in my bio talks about god. It's not going to happen for me. So why don't you finish this last section with us and however long ago it's fine It talking about some things that maybe somebody's listening today and they're right there there can. They're confused they're like well. You know like like the people that ask me. Aren't you phrased that you when you talk about. God you're gonna lose all these said. I would rather make a half a million dollars a year and then make another half residual and be strong in my faith and make ten million or twenty million and not be gruden in grounded in who i am so when you think about that word personal development and maybe there's somebody out there what's really on your heart right now as your message of something that can really impact people's lives and turn them in the direction that you're going that they're the that you're going that they could go. Maybe there that person that disney's to hear what you have to say. So i'm i got my pencil ready and i'm ready to listen. Well i'm going to show something. That's a bit controversial and Because i've been in the space for cisco let's go some people. But i'm just gonna speak my truth unapologetic. Because he has the word personal development self-development. I have a challenge problem with that word. Now the top ring in a getting having personal With god and being reborn are really was thinking about who speak about intention. Our words actually have an impact. And if we think about the word personal development cell developments all about me me me but actually if you truly want to create impact. It's not about you because if you if you want to start a business you can be as passionate as you want. You know it's going to take work. You're going to get into the mundane everyday. So it'd be about you because if you always just think about yourself you're not going to create a real impact. It's never about us and even in the word layoff you know. Law is not about us you know. Love is if we actually look. The word definition locked christians in. Oh it's love is patient. Love is kind. It doesn't bows like all those things like not nice things so it is self the suffering in love and i think we need to start having more conversations is not just about me me me the journey that we're gonna go in. We have to shine the light on something bigger than us because just have delighted us. We're gonna just start seeing things that are not working. It's gonna breathe more. Insecurity is gonna be more fear but what we need to put the light on his first of all got. We need to put our focus on god. We need to put the focus on people and who is serving what value. What gifts have we been given said he. He's given us gives us great room for us so we need to stop or what those gifts are. All of us have caught different gifts. So we need to. Our job is to stop. What if this once coverage we ride division we make plan and we run with it. It's as simple as it is. And then you're you know from there you're If you constantly just made me me you gonna go into self-healing johnny and yet we only tilling but we know the heat. We need to know who the healer is. because sometimes what lesson self-development you go through this whole person. Development experience seeking one guru one expert after the other seeking healing on source can never heal you and if you go straight to the source of can actually provide that healing so he can move on with the vision and panic. God has for you released your gift to the world. that's gonna create room for you. It's gonna create impact and income for your freedom for you. That's when you become truly free. So i have a challenge with the word personal development. It's controversial but you can come after. Beat that's what i think. Yeah that's so good all right so one more thing. I want to talk about before we go is. I want you to talk about intense analogy k. Because a lot of times in personal development we can hear it. Like you just said i'm unapologetic. I'm controversial like you know. I'm i mean i feel like you could be my twin female version because i'm very controversial I actually i'll be honest with you. One thing i'm working on is i i'm pushed. I pushed sometimes like i. If people ask me about somebody i- i- unapologetically say had just don't like the way they're doing and and i know sometimes it gets back to the person right and i'm like i'm not a liar. I what i would have said to that person. I would say to your face. I would say if some. I've had this happened as recently where i stopped working with a client. Who's paying me a lot of money. And just. Because i didn't line up with the things that i wanted to do and it doesn't mean i don't love her and i don't care about her and i wouldn't want to do stuff with her and go to hear her speaker to. It's just a lot of things it's doesn't line up with me right and now i wouldn't really. I wouldn't be offended if she heard this like. I've said this to our personally right. And you know and it can be a trickling effect like you know one person. Here's that and then just like all your you know that that this is what i learned about about me is that you know you hear. All this word gossip or slander. Whatever gossip is telling somebody something that you wouldn't tell to that person's face like if i'm going to say something right now about I'll just say my wife like my wife's going to hear this and low this. Listen but i would say the same thing to her in person. That i would say if i if i was over here talking to somebody else right. And so it's being super intentional about who you are and what you're in so when you think about that when you think about intentionally and personal development all the way to talk about what does that mean to you. What is intentionally mean at your time in your life right now while you're going through and everything that we've heard. What does that mean to you going forward in this next season of your life. Yeah so at this moment in time with in my what intention means to me is is everything i'm doing giving glory to god is everything it's more of him and less of me. That is who that is my intention with everything that i'm doing 'cause ride we live in a world that's influencer right. Push me about okay. I'm being used. But might giving china light on me or amish shining. The light of the source at created me on him so being intentional. From you right now at this moment and ability forever is going to be just mike when i work with my clients. I don't need to create fans are need to create like another. No i've seen. I've seen that world and i've been in this world because i worked in the president about more you idolize people. I don't wanna be anyone's idol. I want whatever i'd say. Whatever i do that is gonna be the hands of feet of got an imperfect person that is just saved by grace in every single day messing up but he he is giving me so much. I wanna give thanks to him so everything that i do has to give glory to him that it's my intention. That's it now. I have my character do mic. Drop right now. Because that's that's what we want the that you've talked about identity you've talked about your core values. We talked about intention. But none of it's been about you. None of it's it's all been about the the one who created carmen. The one who created michael the one who doesn't represent religion he represents a relationship. I i You brought up todd. white We brought up. Todd wightman ago and i say this. I've said this on numerous podcast. I wanna say it again. Because i hope it deprives it home to somebody my friend michael on has a huge ministry here in orlando florida. He married jessica Benny hens daughter jessica and they have a huge ministry here. In orlando people come from all around the world and him and taught or like this. They're like best butts. Right and michael was an. I'm good friends with michael's cousins and his brother Theo runs Todd's church and and and In the dallas fort worth area. And michael said you know. Miracles happen He was. I go and preach in different. You know all around the world and people come and people get their eyesight back and they're hearing back and you know all these miraculous things he said. But that's not the greatest miracle happens. He said and he held his fingers up and he stopped his fingers. He said the greatest miracle that happens is when jesus the holy spirit leaves the ninety nine to save that one person well when when the same spirit he said. It's not something. Religion is man made you can explain it easily but being born again and truly receiving the spirit of god into your life happens like this i i did a salvation message at my church on sunday and said look you can be in church all your life and never have a personal relationship. Jesus christ you can hear the word of god and believe it and still never experience it. There's the difference. The difference in experiencing is when god would never force himself into our life. I didn't force you to have a a an interview with me. I asked you you accept it. That's love that's encouragement. That's intentionally that's because we're like minded in heart minded right. Same thing god god because if god forced himself into your life wouldn't be love it would be forced right so that's why he at the same spirit the race god from the dead takes residents inside your body and in a man becomes born again. I'll finish with this. And then i want you to tell people how you can how they can connect with you and get to know you a little bit better is this. There's a new series and probably shared this. And i'm going to share it probably four or five more times in different interviews. But there's a new series called the chosen and if you have if you can either watch it on on your iphone and cast it on your tv or you can watch it on youtube. And it's great to send the second season. I've gotta get caught up because two episodes of messed but i watched the first series twice all the way through once i watched it with my wife and then i went back again when i was traveling on my own and i watched the whole series by myself and i took page after page of notes and god brought revelation and there was a time in their when nicodemus was in the upper room. Jesus they sitting this far apart and you know nicodemus had prayed and waited for the messiah to come. You know. that's what he believed. He was a jewish ruler. He believed that the messiah would eventually come and then when he started having this conversation with jesus and he said well what do i have to be born again. And he said. I can't go back into my mother's womb right. And in an instant he realized the one he'd been praying for all his life was sitting six feet from him that the messiah was the one that was sitting there with him and then long story short. If if you haven't watched it. I would tell you to go watch it because it's a very intense thing you know he said. Well what do i have to do now. He said i am right. He said go. And tell your wife and your leaving and give everything away and come and follow me and the next day. If you know the story in the movie in the in the series the next day he showed up and he wouldn't let go of his money. He left money for them to use along the journey but he was supposed to be one of the disciples and god chose matthew. I have assured on today's called the league. The least likely by pastor to determine salaries on this whole series of how god used the most likely most least likely people to build the kingdom to make an impact in the kingdom like from hannah to mordecai to you know jesus for heaven's sakes right and how he used matthew the tax collector who had asperger's that you know now that they've recognized that that's what it was and peter even said no not him god not him and god said yes him because god will use the very least likely person maybe a person that's came from religion may be. My friends saw pitch on was one of his mom was one of fifteen hundred women to come out of a concentration camp and You know in the holocaust and he was the she was the only woman to have a baby and he became a born again. Christian later on in life and now has the largest Pregnancy center in the world saving babies from abortion. When all these other women had been all over had been taken none of them were able to birth a child but saw was mom was the only one in fifteen hundred women and concentration camp and then he went on to save thousands and thousands of babies over his thirty year career. So every day. We're we're we're you know we have decisions that we make and i just want to commend you For making a decision to not succumb to the things of the world and just to follow step into your destiny step into that that place to really receive and understand what it means to have a tree relationship with god. So thank you for that. So why don't you do this once you as we finish once you tell people how they can connect with you how they can get to know you and and and and listen to you and hear you and I think it's super important because people need to know you in here so tell us how they can connect with you. Thank you so much The easiest way to connect with me is on instagram. It's carmen dot b. K. a. r. m. i n. though tv or carbon habibie and of course youtube channel. Our share more content about that. And if you connect with me on instagram Because i love building relationships so if you sent me a message on instagram give you like free. Downloadable of my book the goal getting. Tom enders says you know. I i I love the connections as we were talking. I told you the tamra texts me really encouraging message as we were talking. And that's how we met. And so we met you know in clubhouse and stuff so i say this all the time the only way people get to listen to this if you downloaded and you subscribe to the podcast. We're on apple were on all the major platforms and i say this as we finish my most important thing that i want to do is i wanna love. God i wanna love people and i challenge you to live with passion and with vision not looking over your shoulder at your pass but pressing on towards the mark of your calling to love god. Love people live with passion and vision because the bible says people pairs for lack of knowledge and wisdom but he also says the reason we lack is. Because we don't ask for it so we'll tell you you know you can have that same relationship that carmen i both have. You can ask god into your life. And in an instant he'll take he'll come into your life you'll never force himself but always got do is ask And if you ever have that and you want to reach out reach out to our team. If you ever want to know how you can have a relationship on carmen would love to talk to you about that too about how you can have a relationship with god but just know that god loves you and so thank you for listening to another session of the heap. Apologetics Live with Justin Peters
"The and why switch and and you rep Hort Clark of the Christian Fun it took right. I think we're live trying to set up. Started folks little bit different as you can tell Justin and I are in a hotel with this closer get get prevent some of that light. That's right above us. Probably not the best So folks let us know those in the chat let us know if you can hear us. Okay just because it's a little different setup being on the road as we are so hello if anyone wants to join just go to apologize live dot com to come in and and So you can join us and see rain. Just get going to send this over the the link over to Mr Slick if he wanted to join but we'll see so Justin Justin was For folks who are watching Okay good you here. So just is out here in Pennsylvania. Actually I kind of like this. I look bright and you look like yeah put this over here. Sorry folks in this is horrible to do. When it's live is play with the camera? That looks much better and I gotta make sure everybody start for having to adjust this all right all right so Rosie Grope says Hello Andrew Jackson just in from Vegas again getting rid of the mouse. 'cause that so So we were. We're in Carlisle Pennsylvania trying to just adjust this all right closer. We need Justin looking better. Okay so what if we do until until Anyone comes in with some questions if you have any questions if you have any questions For specifically eeyore were to faith eighth. Be a better topic would be good to ask that tonight but What I figured we would do until folks come in with questions and we? We may not go as long. So we'll see how how long we ended up going tonight just because it's been a long day and because of that oil someone needs to sleep. I don't know why I'm getting my second wind sleep much last night at all. Oh yeah the there is a noisy neighbor keeping him up pounding on the walls of the room. Wake up her so so I figure we. We could do Justin Let's talk a little bit about Thank you Fascinated by these notes. Not really this is what I could do. Is I actually put the notes right up there as people Comment and are more light on Justin with yeah dark. I don't know that there's anything we can do about that. Oh no worse. The the problem is there's a light right over the camera That's the problem. It's what happens when your mobile like this. In fact go back. Does it not not just okay. So so she'll you should come on in and join us as what you should do. Go Politics Live Dot Com. Hey Addison Abigail Abigail sorry. No that's goodwill low. Addison okay so so Danny was following us on online. So that we're at had dinner. We were Kinda rushed bit. I guess I should just announced that right. So we're we're sitting here. We had dinner. We're having some great fellowship. We were sitting with Chris arms in in the hotel lobby and I was the one that invited Chris to come back so we can hang out for a while and we're just kind of hanging out and all of a sudden I went. Oh we got the show to do like right now so I ran in here and that was a little bit A little bit busy. So let's talk about until folks folks come in with questions and again if you if you WANNA come in just go to apologize live Dot Com to get your task any questions. So what I WANNA do is talk about what the topic was tonight or today at the luncheon will start with that For Folks I. I think many of the folks will probably who you are. Where full mortar faith is in and what your ministry is but for folks who don't want you? Just explain briefly they the brilliance in the naming of your ministry and the forethought ahead ahead of Justin Peters ministries. I promise you that is a a lack of creativity apart not narcissism. I really what else to call it so if I put a little more thought into come up with something better but now it is what it is but what was the question. What I'm talking about today? Yeah well actually we've got some moment So we got a question. Did come in at least here from Facebook user. How would you respond to a pentecostal? That says towns is private prayer language. Yeah great question. Listen so I hear this a lot and I know a lot of people are very sincere when they say this that. I've heard a lot of people people say. Well I don't speak in tongues in church you know. I don't do it insurgence as something that undue privately between me the Lord of private prayer closet or you know kitchen table or wherever they like to pray and it's something between me and the Lord and understand understand you know that wouldn't be will say that they're very sincere. But but here's what I would say to. That is that that is not incongruence with the purpose purpose of the spiritual gifts. Why do we have spiritual gifts generally speaking what are they full? Well we we know from scripture that they are for the edification nation of the church the building of the body. They are not far our own private use K.. They're not for our own private use. If you have the gift of mercy for example do you go into your private prayer closet and just show yourself mercy you know no we laugh at that right. That's comical so don't exert ourselves and we don't join us it so so why do we carve out an exception for the gift of tongues. Why do we say okay? Well all of the other spiritual gifts for the education church but for this one that one. I'm using for myself. That's not why we have spiritual gifts that's not why they're given in. There's there's no harm notable reason to carve out an exception for the Gift Thompson it's just not in And there's no record of anyone in scripture orator testament praying to God and anything other than a human language which nowhere everyone prays Jesus included Braise in a human language a known language so Yeah no people very sincere when they say things like that but Sincerity is not the issue. Truth is we have to stick with scripture and we have to remember that a lot of A lot of Pagan Religions Mormons vacant. Some Mormons Bacon tongues a lot of Hindus speaking tongues even as Pew Muslims. Lonzo can believe it speaking tongues. There's a lot of pagan religions. It's bacon talks so it's not a uniquely Christian practice at least the charismatic expression expression of it is not this unintelligible extended gibberish which is not the genuine gift of languages. Okay so we got And for facebook users. If you go to apologize live dot com or even I think even in the nodes at all it. There's a link of how to get facebook to accept so we know your name but why won't Mike. Why won't Michael Brown will call out Tibetan? Why will Michael Brown call out todd? Bentley in in your your opinion why Michael Brown I guess it says why won't Michael Brown Todd won't won't call. Yeah that that's one of the for those of you may have seen my video. I did it you can go my. I did a video entitled my response ought to Michael Brown. Michael Brown wanted to debate me about physical healing. said he wanted to have a quote past oral discussion about physical healing and and the summation of my response was no. I cannot have a pastoral discussion about you with anything. When you won't call helped manifestly obvious charlatans and brazen heretics he? Michael Brown doesn't call these people now. He calls them her brother his brother he goes. Benny Hana's brother he calls Kenneth Copeland his brother in in even Todd Bentley he won't call out definitively he said in a statement that was recently released days ago that He's not qualified signed for ministry. But yet they the statement also said that Todd Bentley is gifted by God. Todd Bentley is not gifted by God. Todd Bentley Bentley is a wolf is a goat. He's he's lost. He's not gifted by God for anything he is. He is under the judgment of God. So in one of the more of a mature Christian is a discerning Christian in in quite honestly. I'm sorry if you can't tell like if you can't tell that someone as bad as todd gently as a false teacher then okay for folks. Don't know enough about Todd Bentley. You're just brief overview. What are some of the things that would cause type ben-ruby what should be so discerning? Thought wait you don't have to be very discerning about the bank todd. Bentley is one of the worst of the worst the worst. This is a guy who says that God told him into kicking elderly woman in the face of his biker. Boot this is a woman. This is a man who While this Lakeland revival that was going on back in two thousand and eight and this was the biggest thing in charismatic movement Bill Johnson endorsed Heidi Baker. John Arnott all Even Michael Brown the whole time the supposed revival is going on Bentley was drunk. He was having an affair with a female member of his staff even Hughes married and had children. It was discovered in rather than repent of his sin and go to his wife. He went ahead and divorced. His wife is his handicapped wife his wife his original wife Shona has no knee in her left leg her handsome surgery for anyway. It has no knee and probably didn't look real good for a faith healer to be married to get one well anyway He divorced her left after left. His kids married this adultress Management I mean. This is a guy who kicks people in the in kicks system literally in the stomach kicked a guy with colon cancer in the Gut. The guys the guy belongs in straightjacket. I mean he is manifestly evil in when you say mashes you've actually been close enough to him and you have a particular view with him that you don't have with all teachers. Yeah I think Todd Bentley's demon possessed. I genuinely believe I don't say you don't say about many people to that. I've ever heard the only do that. I believe are genuinely demon desolate than I would almost bet my soul on Tom Bentley in copland. I'm I'm just glad I wasn't listed. They're not into todd. Bentley and Kenneth Cope when I believe her actually demon possessed I. I don't think I don't think he's supposed prophet false teacher. But but time Bentley I believe is absolutely is and In in a statement statement came out Michael Brown just days ago about Todd Bentley said I have not endorsed todd. Bentley's since two thousand nine or this Lakeland revival. What's going on in two thousand eight and everything that I just said about him divorcing? His wife kicking elderly women and kicking and all this that was is known in two thousand eight. So it's a shame it is honest and it's an honor. Shame that Michael Brown is so lacking in discernment so profoundly lacking in the servant. Michelle says Thank you so much Mr Peter for your ministry. Lord used your ministry to deliver my family out of the charismatic chaos pres- vote so We have a facebook user. Ask The question. Where's the Sushi But that's okay because Noko radio. Our friend over there might even draw He he said he said the Sushi boy tonight so he he has the answer is Mike. Ross yeah well. That's that would be Noko radio myself. He must be watching on twitter. So let's See there was some other questions that we have as a Mike. You're a saga thing about the UH Tim. Keller that they almost made me laugh out tonight. Sir Douglas Well. I don't know what you're you're so you have to. I share with us. What am I do? Oh he had this picture of wealth. Tim Keller's over years ago. Had the male ballet the answers performance shirts really yeah. I didn't know that it is it is Keller. He's in New York all right so let's see There were some other questions that I did see. Come in Okay so Andrew S. how does Justin feel about the nominations that associate as reformed charismatic. Yeah reformed charismatic. Honestly I think that's kind of Oxy moronic term. I don't mean that as an insult I simply mean it as has it. They're they're they should be two mutually exclusive positions because one of the One of the pillars of the reformation was Solis critera scripture alone and the charismatic movement charismatic position by definition does not believe in Seoul whisker. Tura They do not believe that the scripture is sufficient because they get dreams envisions and God speaks to them and all this kind of stuff and so the Bible the you cannot hold to the care at the continuous position charismatic position and the and the sufficiency of scripture. At the same time they're mutually exclusive positions so You know I'm not saying that. All charismatics are awesome. That's not what I'm I'm saying but I am saying that you cannot hold to the charismatic position and the sufficiency of scripture at the same time they are mutually exclusive. You've positions it's like having a square circle it doesn't it doesn't exist can have it can make said did blessings brother he also said here to serve So we had Find I saw another question that popped up earlier. Danny's Danny said. Just would you say to those who claim Those who claim that those who follow the word of faith and New Apostolic Reformation or at least getting some type of typical doctrine. What I say? Those who claimed those who follow word visionary arguing Saddam's will anything start with this night and they take his question asked this because I think S. opening on it you have a view that Like Islam is less of a threat than were faith right but appeared Schwartzman spiritually speaking and then within word of faith. Like a guy like Benny Hinn. You'll say at least the Gospel goes out once in a while while with him. But there's others that there's no gospel at all and you make a distinction. Even there to say at least at least the Gospel could be heard even though it's you know even if it's a he's giving a whole bunch of false doctrine also sometimes give some biblical truth. So I think what this is saying hang is least if they're sitting under Benny Hinn. They're getting some sort of biblical truth so try to there. I think my guess is they're trying to justify you saying there is better than nothing. Yeah it but it's it's it's really not a couple of points I have no doubt that there have have been people saved listening to Benny Hen preached now before you think. Justin has gone off the deep end. I heard Benny Hinn present. The Gospel Gospel plenty well enough for God to call one of his own to himself now. Once that happens once someone does come to Christ. Let's say they were saved by Gospel by hemming not everything false teachers teachers fall. Some of it is right. You know broken clock is right twice a day so Benny Hen has has presented the Gospel plenty well enough for someone to hear. Respond get converted But once that happens in that person begins to grow in Christ. He's not going to continue to listen to Benny Hill. He's GonNa Leave Benny Hinn and he's GonNa go get some sound teaching from biblically. Qualified defied man. Oh now as far as humor not enter as far as well. It's better to listen to any hand. The nobody well no. It's it's not because my wife gave me this illustration one time. I thought was really helpful in every the area of life we want the best and we seek out the best right. We want the best mechanic to fix our car. We want the best plumber to fix our leaky zinc. We want the best dodger to give us medical care. We want the best dentist. You know we. We seek out people who are qualified in trained in their revealed expertise. Except when it comes to breaching it wouldn't comes to preaching when it comes to the nurse -ment of our eternal soul anybody you see how backwards that thinking is There is no area that we should be more careful in ban in preaching ban in the the the people to whom we listened for Biblical instruction. A man should be by the way but anyway yeah why why Compromise on that. We wouldn't compromise on anything else. Why do it there? Oh so everybody starts off as a baby Christian in. I know that there are a few baby very immature believers that would listen to a minivan or a Dolo stain or something like that. But here's the the old babies grow up babies. Don't stay babies. They always grow up and so as Christians began you. Start off as a baby Christian but you grow up and and you mature you progress at works and you do that. I made the screen brighter. That so I was denied. Answer your hope any answer you question how well the best way to do. It is to come on in go. Politics Live Dot Com and join in and then then we know the get. The answers A facebook user sorry He didn't allow string yard to use his name yet. So it says Justin. How would you respond to? If one doesn't speak in tongues they don't have the Holy Spirit we hear that being this versus non actually believing this. He's just because they saying. How do you response on thinking that but we do hear that a lot? We hear people that say. If you don't th that the tongues I actually was online facebook this week. Debating this with someone. That was saying that. That Tung's is these sign that you're baptized presently spirit yes just false it's just not a biblical position at all When a person gets saved he is in and dwelt by the Holy Spirit of God? When when you got converted you got all the Holy Spirit you're ever GonNa get you? Don't get part of the Holy Spirit you don't get a third of him at conversion Asian and then you work your way up. The rest of God gives the spirit without measure so when we when we are saying we are. We are baptized. I urged by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ in we have the person of the Holy Spirit residing within us who aluminum meaning of scripture sanctifies us helps us to understand and obey scripture in thereby we grow in the grace knowledge or Christ so the is just a Pantley on biblical thing to say well. If you don't speak in tongues you don't have the spirit. Well I don't have a spirit. I'm not saying I mean that's about a life if you'll have so much that you don't have a Holy Spirit then you're not saved when I think the way they come to this. Is they start to say that Baptism Holy Spirit. They see this at at the time had the gift of tongues and that's tied with baptism spirit in the book of Acts Right which is transition transition book and we the other times where people get saved and there aren't. There's no speaking in tongues there. Where some of them will do is they say? The only sign of backseat spirit is speaking in tongues. Some of them will see infra. SPRINTING's twelve thirteen words has were all baptized into one spirit. So they save. We're not not if we don't have the tongues than we don't have the spirit of the spirit we're not saved. That's the way they would argue it. But there's actually nothing it says that the gift of tongues is the sign of the baptismal spirit at something. They interject in fact the whole the whole chapter of that. Paul Paul argues in first. Corinthians twelve is to say we don't all have the same gift so we shouldn't all have the same gift of speaking in tongues that were appointed to give turns owns is. We don't have this yet and so So let's see Joe April gas to get done. That's pointing spiritual gift. I don't sort that. We don't all have gift. Yes he says. Hey guys thanks for all you do. When's the next time you to come to Nicaragua? So have you been to Nick C. I.. Joel I haven't been so I I really can't say when the next time is by. Ken Say this. Any any thoughts on Perry stone seems people hang on his every word end prophecy here in West Virginia. Yeah Yeah period. Stone is another veith health and wealth prosperity preacher is not as quite as overt with the prosperity aspect of it as are some among others but it is there in fact I would say it's even it's becoming more pronounced as teaching up. Say He's big on scatology you know. That's his thing Israel and Cataldi and all that but you know it ended really. That's neither here nor there because he's faith and if you're teaching faith doctrine and Juju not qualified. Were you got against Jews bed. Do what's up with that kind of you uh-huh so yeah Barry Stone's been at news UNGAVA. Bizarre video of alone came out a few months ago him getting my heart always speaking in tongues while he was checking his off screws. Oh that was. Yeah Yeah what a good good brother brother of man. I Miss You guys in the Philippines. I know they they call the I. I got a call from Pester Armand when it was New Year's for them so as is like middle of the day for us and we were actually trying to get on a flight or getting back from forget what it was and they they were they had called and Eh to to what. Let's watch a fireworks in the Philippines twelve hours before we sit here as a great trip. In fact I wrote about our trip. Some in My newsletter it's going to be coming out here shortly. She says okay. What is the difference in prophecy and fortune telling That the palm readers do don't judge I've been around both yeah I'm not sure I've ever been asked the question quite like that but How others of yeah? There's there's really not much difference what we should do. Hey I'm just a good anthony. Say Hi to apologetic live. You had addressed into Justin. How are you doing well? How about you good? You should just come into politics as long as you can join us back from orientation at a at a sports club join. So we're not allowed to say that on the air anymore come on Gun Gun Gun gun anymore. I'll give you give you go with the show's over and you should have some more sales where I was at last weekend's I talked to some people that have been devastated. Their families devastated by the they are and So we spend time talking to them and to to buy yourself a DVD To pause and stuff so hopefully they'll they'll get it and help help their families. Well thank you brother. I hope that that's the case. Pray that it is just for anybody listening. I have a standing policy if you need my resources and cannot afford them. Let me know email me you know. I had seen you one for free so so I can afford them. Don't don't be trying to get me free. DVD You're not. You're not in the but well well. Anthony might disagree. Heads is what happens live. Show you call. You're going to end up on. Her case has two topics tonight. We'll talk about you once we hang up now that we know you can't watch live all right good but I anthony so she question. What is the difference between promising fortune telling that the raiders are very little very little so it's a distinction without a real difference In in fact a lot of what. These so-called prophets do is what's called cold reading psychics psychics. Do the same thing you know. Sylvia Brown and I guess Miss Cleo or whatever you know some of these people they go up to somebody and you can ask general questions. Postions that abroad enough and you can key in on some of the things that people say their body language and you can make some educated guesses and then you say oh it will so and so you start making these kind of general statements and you big bullies cues and at an actually sounds like you have some pipeline of some secret knowledge. When is that's not it at all? Just picking up on cues and language and you know making educated guesses from eh so there's really not much difference there there. The gift of prophecy since a foretelling the future is not an operation today so facebook user. Anything is giving you a warning here Spin US keep up the good work justin but keep an eye out for Andrew. Can't can't trust any of those Jersey types unfortunate. I can't see who that is. I'll go back on facebook later to find out who that is Now just as a a regular here and she has the question. Are you guys reformed right. Well Okay Vince. On your definition so the let me give you a little history why I would hesitate So you had the Catholic Church that developed galloped. What they a theology based on covenants and seeing themselves as a continuation of Old Testament? I'm judy awesome. And you had the really reformers came out and developed what was called reformed theology and many people refer to in Covenant Theology as Reform Theology. And then what you have is people who have taken with John. Calvin the ideas of Calvin and calvinism awesome and we'll talk about the doctrines of grace made go think of calvinism and Saquon calvinism or doctrines of grace. They call that reformed theology and reformed. Theology is much broader. In one sense. I wouldn't be I wouldn't be In my since neither one of US would be reformed in the sense that we're more. We are dispensational theology and so that would be different than reform theology once. Now if you're speaking of it as far as the doctrines salvation in how were saved. Will there we would agree with Doctrines Grace Boehner right all right. So Oh I like this question. Justin Melissa here is asking. The question has justin begun his dedicate. podcast technically old broadcast. That are that are currently going in. It's under the label of decay. But they were recorded order a long time ago. I have not begun my new podcast because I am on the cusp of having a brand new website website totally revamped in zone wanting to launch money website and the dedicate broadcast at the same time. So how long have I been asking you this question. I know I know it's going on two years now. Melissa I've been asking us on a regular basis as well willing and he doesn't need to wait for the new website. I mean it's all there is already you could actually disarm. Oh he was a good idea to wait and launching both at the same time that was before we put all the ones out there now. They're they're all out there so I say going very shortly very shortly thank you for. It'll be a little busy with G. Three Yeah Yeah. I'll get past three. And Lord Willing Lord Willing after not three it should start okay Andrew had said the question he asked he said. Thank you for your answer Melissa asks I I found a church. That is mostly sound but the past teachers spiritual gifts. I feel out of place because I am a sensations. It's hard to fellowship with others because of this suggestions by the way ladies clarify before you answer we believe in spiritual guests to mm-hmm we just don't believe all of them continue. Just yeah. Yeah and that's an. I'm sure I'm sure Melissa. You understand that But for anybody else listening As a secessionist I do believe Internet both believe in the spiritual gifts We believe in all of them in the sense they all at one time were in operation including the apostolic gifts assigned gifts but those sign gifts tongues interpretation of tongues languages interpretation taste language The gift of miracles gifts a physical healing those gifts those apostolic gift. Scientists are no longer in operation. I do believe that can still heels most people today but only when it's his sovereign will to do so that is not the same thing as saying. Someone possesses the gift of healing that I do not believe so but as cessation EST Andrew. Nye both believe in the gift of teaching gift to mercy to get expectation to giving it gives us the talent All of these gifts are very much an operation in the church today. Only am stall gifts from now specifically to your question honestly I of course I. I don't know where you live. I don't know if maybe there aren't. Maybe there's another option for you. I would say the option of driving want you share about your wife have forced us to drive that. Yeah this kind of goes back. Most most thing that hearing the word of God exposed by biblically qualified men is so vitally important. It is the most important thing I tell people. No matter how far you have to drive find a good church. I don't care how far it is in even if it's too far to go every week better to go. Oh to a good church once or twice a month than a band church every week so seek it out no matter how are you have to go Talk to out. What if it's too far to go every week? Talk to the elders air. Let them know your situation. I'm sure they will be understanding before caffeine. I got married Kathy. It used to drive long story short. Cathy was married before me her husband John died so she was a widow. died Dinah very early age of heart attack but anyway Before I married Kathy when she and John Were married they drove. If they lived in billings Montana they drove from billings Montana to Bozeman one eight to church as a hundred forty miles one way one one way one way in. They did it every week every week because church was that important to word of God rightly divided. was that important to not. Everybody can do that. It makes me feel better because I have like a sixty mile ride to church so it makes me feel a little better. It's like six in the morning or leave leaving. We'll get up at five something six something to to be able to go to church. It's I I cannot me personally I cannot Join A church. That is cares. It is continuous Even if they were the phrase open but cautious I kinda thing. I couldn't do it because it is. Is that important of an issue to coming so Melissa just say I don't know where you live Kgo. TMS Dot Edu and they have a search their go to resources sources. Find a church in. See if there's a church you know within one hundred miles of young and probably is but the church go to what we did at a lot of people just couldn't find a good church in their area In Bucks County Pennsylvania and they. We're actually driving into New Jersey to Somerset. They were driving Think about an hour over an hour to get to to church every week so they ended up Getting enough people together they. They contacted master seminary and they're great advanced program and worked with great advance that they would send out a pastor and an and plant a church and so it's a new church plant and Masters Church of Bucks County I'm still in New Jersey and where we're looking to move even though it may mean you're further away from other things were were closer to church so we can do more actively church so we're in the process of moving just be closer to the the church so there's this interesting so a facebook user this question. Would it be fair to say say that. It would be wise to avoid all the teachings of Dr Michael Brown. I've heard some within reform circles that Dr Brown should be listened to since he does a good apologetic some issue homosexuality Jewish objections to Christianity. And you just got this one today from someone. So yeah I would. I would say Yes it would be wise to avoid all the teachings of Dr Michael Brown. It's not not that. He's not right on a lot of things you know what he is. I have heard Dr Brown Michael Brown Debate penal substitution area tolman. I couldn't have done any better. I mean he was very good but the Bible has qualifications of an elder Bible teacher able to teach sound doctrine and refute. Those who contradict and Michael Brown does not refute those who contradict sound doctrine. He calls him his brothers and that is such a shocking lack of discernment as I said earlier. One of the marks of I think it's one of the marks of the mature Christian is a discerning Christian. You cannot lack discernment in be a mature Believer at the same time can't do it Hebrews Tampa and so if you cannot call out Todd Bentley and Kenneth Copeland Benny Hen as false teachers. Then you don't have any disarmament I mean that. That's this calling those guys out. That's basic mental one ground level discernment and so Not Qualified to teach. I'm sorry may sound harsh in a no No not everybody in reformed circles. Ripples would have agreed with my assessment of Dr Michael Brown. But I don't know how you get around Just I'm sorry I don't know how to get out so so no I would not recommend human own anything. There's other sources that you can go to who are qualified. This one will get into detail. Answer quicken the question of slavery in the Old Testament is justified. Yes moving on a the. The problem with the slavery in the Old Testament is people want to apply the slavery breathe happening in Europe and America with the African slave trade totally different. The slavery in the Old Testament was economic system. And you just one two and so And obviously would it be. It'd be justified in the sense. That a book Leman. Paul doesn't say run away from your your your master says go back home yeah All right so are you working on anything or have you done anything. Revealing the problems with Hebrew roots movement. I don't know if if you have I will be. I'll say this I will be interviewing shortly on both here. Probably and on the Rack Report on author of a book that I'm reading right now now So from halfway through and I do think that I'll probably have him on Hit The book is is Torah ISM originally. I thought it I was going to support Hebrew roots boat as got through it. It is an excellent apologetic against it. So I may deal with that out of you even if you deal with roots really. I don't deal with it. I mean I'm pretty familiar with it. It's bad it's bad juju up again with the fan jus again the bad Juju you dealing with Hebrew roots come on that user fee. That was. You're saying that's not in context. It's a micro aggression aggressive there. You go okay so here we go. Vince has a great appoint here a Benny Hinn. Paula white are the Romeo and Juliet Bala genetics quite nerd. That's analogy in many. Of course you know they. They had fleeing about ten years. That's right too vague. Remember how about that see. I don't follow it as much as our president needs new spiritual advisers. Yeah like vice president just it. Just just get your spiritual advice from your vice president stopped. He's other buzz. Okay so From Youtube at striving fraternity. Do you think the the false prophet in revelation might come out of any are also have you. Have you tried to get copland airlines to advertise out of politics. That's interesting Oh you know as far as a false prophet revelation the out it. I I don't think so. I goes against good ruin album. That's that would not be my I guess but Copeland Airlines. I got so funny somebody all this I have actually sat. I was GonNa ask you actually sat in. Kenneth Copeland's is private jet. Yeah you gotta you gotTa tell that story not his newest one but the the previous mall so about ten or so years ago I was preaching Friend of mine's jobs in North Fort Worth which is where Kenneth Copeland's compound is and my friend my pastor free He asked me if I've ever been on Kenneth Copeland's compound registered as no. I haven't liked to go. Yeah sure let's let's go. I've been there since but anyway So we went and we just override on the property and which I still can't believe I think they're more tight now but we drove right on and we went down. Follow this road down to Kenneth Copeland's hanger. He has his own hangar in airport. Basically in the hangar was open and I've always had a bit of an interest in aviation I just Kinda like one of my hobbies not a right but I think it's interesting so anyway we got out and we walk into the hanger and there's two of Copeland's private jets hits ski boats. Motorcycles fancy cars yet. Another plane like a between moral order award to era kind of a biplane. And that's just as Toya's he just goes around for fun and but anyway there was is privatised. Oh my friend and We're standing there looking at the jet. In this lady walks up works Kenneth Copeland ministries. He said May I help. If you gentlemen and my friend said Yeah I'm just here you know zone my buddy here Mr Copeland's jet in he likes airplanes which is true and she said okay so she starts telling us about his jet and then she says would you like would he liked to sit in it like. It's an open the door and my money. Randall is his name. Rentals starts starts helping me up the steps and next thing I know I am sitting and Kenneth Copeland I can't think of the irony of the you know just being there no Zandt. I was walking around just fine. After I got the job that crippled he needed needed a new one because the the demons of of of just impede I messed up his. Yeah so yeah I Had A gospel drank in my pocket and on little walked out because he does need the gospel. Danny says might different Christian. Bale's is with us now. And what's up now. Kristen she was. She's at Pastor US Eastern Redwood City so Wow Okay so sedan. Dangers got moved to has got the kudos there for hanging out with her. She's she's her family's very great Richard Story. Richard by the way from the voice of reason radio podcast which was a great PODCAST listen to and if you don't know Richard on if you know Richard Richard was I think correctly it was. He was hit by a truck remember correctly but he is In a wheelchair And it was neat to see for first time I was actually when when they they they actually wanted to evangelism and he wanted to stand up with his Bible and so he had two guys holding him up so he could stand up and preach abry asks. Do you think the influence of charismatic teaching has caused the SBC to start down the slippery slope. NOPE that it's currently on while that's not too controversial the topic Richard Ferber brother blessings on you. My friend Yes I do I absolutely do. I think what you're saying in the SBC is what happens when a denomination of firms tmz at least theoretically inherits but it does nothing says nothing about sufficiency and The SBC in. I can become become a little bit. I was born reared educated SBC. I'm not asking him more than I am. I was Yeah it it it the. SBC IS A it's it's basically a functionally charismatic denomination because the vast majority of SBC SBC folks believed that God speaks in dreams or visions or still small voices and that is by definition practical implication of the charismatic position. Russian Beth Moore is charismatic and She is she is the queen of SBC the SPCA had a female pope. It would be breath. More and Yeah it's I think it's absolutely a lot of what's going on and now you're seeing this. BC Dive headfirst into social justice intersects analogy and all this stuff and it's just the SPCA his own a fast downward trajectory a fast and it's it is all because they have abandoned or at least you may have never affirmed the sufficiency subscription and. I'll just say this For those of you who are interested in issues with espy. We seeing some of that my podcast. That will come out this Sunday But ally and I will be will be dealing with L. L. Muller and some comments he made on the his the briefing. Let's say elmore may be a hypocrite. I'm sorry to say but you'll have to listen to podcasts at Moeller what he said is right. It's just he won't address those same issues when it comes to other people within the SBC. Beth more and so if you subscribe to the rapper podcast Sunday. That will drop in that dilemma. That might be quite enlightening will do two episodes on El Molar From from that one podcast so this facebook either says there's lots of churches and these churches in quotes Promoting that the Bible makes us literally on fire. They use the word often and it's it is becoming very popular in conservative circles. Could you give us some thoughts on this. Yeah you usually when you see God sending down fire that's is not a good thing for the recipients. Ask the province of all Yeah but this yeah. This is a charismatic thing. Did they have adopted. Todd Bentley's ministry in fact it's called fresh fire so it's all fire fire. Fire you all the fire. Earth God anthony so we have a facebook user here saying hi Andrew and Justin Brother Joe from New Zealand Australia. Praise God for your ministry deathly call contacts from churches. I want to go to New Zealand and Australia please. He's like Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries. I WanNa go this beautiful place. We need a bunch of churches down there to just travel around the Australia and New Zealand. Boy I feel for you guys in Australia. What's going on? Yeah yeah that is okay so rosy asks. Hi Justin can you you address people speaking the prophetic word into someone's life please. Yeah the only prophetic word that should be spoken in. Someone's life the scripture. So if you WANNA speak a prophetic word to somebody read read scripture to them with the way. You had a prophetic word. We're just not per unit prophetic word for twenty twenty two th recently. y'All go to my youtube channel in search prophetic were at the title. God gave me of Prophetic Attic. Word for twenty twenty and US ratings on the comments that they ought I had gone off the deep end adjust. It's it's Yeah you did them at you and I talked to like you know like a year or so ago about the idea. I had the idea that wanted to like on Monday. Start saying that. Have a prophetic Eric. Word on Friday and a Monday Tuesday Wednesday build up to it and then we we talked about. I said the problem is that by Monday. By by the time we get to Wednesday people who have written all together. So you didn't well to say. Here's a prophetic word to do. What shot but that was very? I enjoyed it Suggest it just says would you say pentecostal oneness is Christian. No no not one call Stolz deny the trinity one has. There's been a call styles are motorist. They hold on what's called modal. They they reject the trinity. They they believe that God Just changes modes You know he in the Old Testament he owned he had on his father had than in the new test put on his son had and now they didn't the Holy Spirit Hat They reject the trinity. So if you if you're the trinity you reject the God of the Bible is one being in three persons so oh One is pentecostals. If somebody understands what one is GonNa Coastal Teach Oneness Pentecostal as teachers. Then they cannot be Christian so KT asks Youtube says at striking for training. What would you do if you if church if a church you visited was doing soul schreider study in the women's group and I guess I'm wondering visiting visiting visiting to visit or visiting to preach I could say this? I was in a church where I was the I was the speaker. I was the guest speaker and I didn't know some of their positions And so I came in speaking showed up early. ended up the talent of their Sunday Sunday. School found out that they Believe in female pastors and some other things and so I did ask just before If if I had the freedom to preach whatever think God's Word Said and just before I got up to preach I said yes so I started reaching from I Timothy Two A message that got me never invited back KT WOULD I. I would say is If if that were me I guess maybe if you're looking for a new church I don't know boot are visiting that search with those of you might join it That would be. That would certainly be a red flag for me. I would. I wouldn't immediately write them off. Coast you know the larger churches more. Sometimes things can slip under the radar but I would certainly WanNa know what's going on there on the l the the the the leaders elders of the church know what's going on they know what Priscilla I Shire teaches and if they're not aware than than tell what she teaches and encourage them to do their own due diligence. It's really you know no. It's not hard to find out what she teaches. And now if they stick to their guns and say no. We have no problem with this. Then I would would be looking for another church. Got One next question's GonNa be fun but facebook user this question. How do you differentiate orangeade between healing a a healing from God or from Satan Slash demonic healing? As you've said you believe God heals today but when when is it His sovereign will do. So can you please explain. Yeah Okay I'll push back a little bit on the premise of the question because I do not believe that Satan or demons he'll keo people. I don't believe that they heal people now that having been said we do know from scripture. We see in the New Testament a couple of different places that demons. Whether it's Lucifer himself you know anyway. Damon's eight they can cause illness they can. Can they can inflict illness now. They can only do what God allows them to do. You know they're on a on a leash goddess holding the other end of that late so they can only do it allows them to the but they can apparently from scripture they can inflict sickness now. What better way to get to divert? Somebody's somebody's about away from sound doctrine away from the purity of the Gospel own to the sidebar things signs in wonders inhaling what better way for demons to divert people's attention away from the Gospel to those things than to have caused some kind of illness in them and then they simply withdraw in simply by their withdrawal. The person recovers covers. That's not a healing. It's just the demon withdrawing from person but if the person thinks that that's a healing oh you know and then in there where are they. They're they're right into the health and wealth. Prosperity Gospel So I I believe that happens But that they can't heal they can inflict sickness and simply a withdrawal than the body's natural ability to recover. You know slowly over time. Immune recover from that. But that's not healing. That's a that's Monica distraction. I think that happens now when God he also on if God if God truly heal it I'll tell you a little story of something happened to me. Andrew in our in the Philippines in May and when we were there one day. Hey how lost use of my left arm right. Yes I completely lost use of my left arm long story short are you. Are you going to tell where I became a faith. It's not very good but you got your back so okay. So our two years ago I had bulging disks in my see foresee popsy six burder along the right arm two years ago almost three years ago and they did surgery. They fuse those Vertebra. I regain the USA Reidar so about two years ago then in This past May when we're in the Philippines one day fill wall see some leftover in because my experience a couple of years before I thought. Oh boy here we go again and it was. It was getting gradually worse to complete on right because a a lot of it I could. I could do certain motions with my left arm but I could not push down ahead no strength to push down and I lost all the feeling in the fingers in my left hand. All my fingers were not couldn't feel There was a couple of doctors in the church that we were at and they didn't pay more about that you got to a they didn't have an MRI they don't even charge you charge me lately. There was a doctor took him just bay. That will take it right over. Yeah they did an tomorrow on me. He made me do more reaching than the the results came back in And sure enough. I have two more bulging disc this time one just above Bob and one just below where I had the disc ball two years ago and So anyway after get back stateside common doctrine San Guy. That did the surgery surgery previously told him what was going on sending the emory results. And come in and and sure enough to more bulging disc and I'm scheduled for surgery August the eighth of two thousand nineteen and But then one day all of a sudden literally all of a sudden about two weeks before surgery all of a sudden I realized I can. I've got my strength back. I can use my left arm can push down and the feeling in my fingers. Lingers came back and I let it go a couple of days and it maintained and so I call it my surgeon. Anna Say MM-HMM DR Morrison. I'm not sure what to make of this but I've got all the strength back in my left arm. The feeling has returned to my fingers and he said Oh come in. Let's take a look. Someone in gave me an exam in a few strength tasks and he said well as long as you don't have symptoms. We're not going to do. Surgery and surgery was cancelled. And so here we are now about five months later. I've still got all my strength. Still have a feeling one of two bus abilities as I said you bet you skip the part that I prayed for you on the plane for healing you skip that part see. That was an important part a cream so but what a great fake yard could be healed. Justin Peter I know people are GonNa say the people are going to say but he's the Walker crutches but I didn't want to heal your legs because you might chased me after all the abusive giving you. So that's I mean it's clear why would well many how many people were praying for me and So there's only two possibilities one those bulging disc at least one of the bulging disks that was pressing spinal column just moved a little bit in relieve. Leave the pressure and that's how I got my strength back in my feeling that's possible. The other possibility is a god healed me. I haven't had another MRI which would tell the tale. But the doctor didn't order one. So I don't I don't as right now I don't know which of those two new possibilities it is. I don't know Time will tell I. Suppose if it's if God didn't he only and it's just that desperate move a little bit then eventually it will probably move back. I'll have the same problem at surgery. So time will tell I don't know I don't know I have no problem with with believing that God may have me but I'm not saying he did. I don't know whatever it is. Here's what it is bottom line. It's a good merciful providence. Providence of God and I'm grateful for whatever it is great for kids. I like this next question. Coming in from pester Aaron he's up in the Seattle Washington area. He says Andrew if Justin tried to treat you to lunch. Will you let him or fight him. Asking asking for a friend. Muski for that friend is probably Mr Matt Slick but Why don't you? Why don't you explain? You know I mean Matt me feel bad when you explain this answer but it's it's it's been very difficult. I finally pay for a meal last night of not Baber dinner last night. It is very difficult to get. But that's because I had a word from the Lord. Yeah from folks who don't know there's a new podcast that were doing all the Christian. PODCASTS commute podcasters. There's a video you can watch. That explains it. You get to see Jost Justin choking me unconscious it was horrible was doing Dean gene was answering price on. Because we're so far behind in comments doing says depends on WHO's asking. Ll just don't call us the C word so wasn't sure what that was forget. I'm forgetting that was a while back. We mentioned Wayne Doing. Can't wait to see man. Maybe he he means that Calvin is towards Oh I don't know. He was so responsive reform. Yeah because they're seeing some some others here that are so let's see So it looks like so Dwayne was on facebook there and then we see he went to you youtube. This must been watching on a couple ones here. Just pop back and forth but Okay so this this is from Melissa who he has to Kushner earlier about the distance and she said no church is in my area. That are not pentecostal. I drive an hour to this. Current Church might be time to move It's it's hard you know the there's moving. There's a lot of times you know folks. We have self limitations. And there's Times TMZ or we put a limitation ourselves. Say Oh I can't go there because my job is holding me here my family or something. We have to decide what's what's important and there's times where we say You know what We we move. And if you can't move and you can't find a good church. Maybe maybe you can work with you. Know some seminaries to bring someone in Atlanta Church started church so those are some options that you could always try Brenda in. I'm not sure if this is just based on the last name don't know if she's she's going to be joining us to Israel but that name looks familiar of some Canadians. That are coming to Israel with US but Justin I can't wait for the new website. And what's what's that other. Were there just again for the new website of what I'd cast. Okay we need your encouragement. Thank I thank you guys for helping me. He 'cause it's usually just me giving him the hard times okay Chauhan's who thinks he should start his podcast like the new ones nail bashed Raise your hands on your this coming. Thank you vinny Glenn Grad always have a few listeners. Yeah let's see what we have a ton of these Get okay. So here's a here's a question I get to Joel asked this question. I know. Struggling fraternity has a Patriot account for receiving support. Is that your favorite way to receive support from individuals actor. No we don't we don't have a favorite way. You could go to striving for eternity dot dot org slash Donnie and donate to us. Pay Pal Patriarch. Send a check. Whatever works easiest for you is what works for us if you want to donate to Justin Peters Instead of going to his website go to Justin. I win Dot Com. Because there's a link rate they are to his donation page and make sure in the comments somewhere just put comments in that say Hashtag Justin. I win you know so Just for fun. Just Justin really appreciate that if if you get that you have to go to justify win dot com to watch the video that explains it Let's see so here is a that's written to Andrew so To see forget more questions. Okay here's one I don't know and if you're able to give an answer or think about this facebook user says why did eakins family die also Because of his sin in Joshua's chapter seven so I don't know if you I'd have to get I didn't Fredge that's been yet had one have to go. Look that up so I don't get this one. I don't know who accusers. But it's like soap oper- Andrew so it's price only said earlier on the UK. Rosie says he indirect with Justin. Peters can you please speak regarding those. Who speak the prophetic word and we had that? Were already right okay. So did they they ask again or did we don't think we scrolled over Here we go. This is a funny one. I'll tell the story about this question and then you can answer but facebook user says what are your thoughts about France of Francis Chan in his agreement with the Roman Catholic belief of Trans Substantiation as men so the podcast Hud cast that drops. I think it's this Sunday. No no next Sunday next. We deal with our Muller and Social Justice and and I was trying to use an illustration there muller saying like liquid platform with. Look at where I've I've been and that should justify where he is now. Oh and I tried to come up with an example and I'm trying to think of an example of somebody who seemed solid years ago but isn't today and I just throw out. Francis Chan not realizing what was going on with Francis Chan so next morning I called Bud. Texted butter like Francis. Chan is agreeing with the Catholic. Nothing Church on on Lord Supper easing. Oh I thought you knew that. That's what you used him. As an example I went no but it makes the argument much stronger now so I knew you ahead of us on this. Because we saw short clip of Francis Chan told me metrics substantiation how it's the real presence in that kind of thing haven't seen Foale con the video of that sermon and full disclosure. I'm not saying that what I have seen as troubling greatly so but honestly I didn't even need that got to be troubled by Francis Shannon. I'm already immensely. Troubled by his partnership with an endorsement of Mike. Bickel IOM of you've been in Todd White Todd White is another one that is just so so manifestly obvious Of False teacher and Francis stand calls him a quote great great man of God. This is a guy who goes around on the street. Lengthening opening people's legs that's an old parlor trick and charlatans and been doing for decades He's an obvious false teacher in France sustain causing his brothers. I mean as kind of like with Michael Brown and all these others that he he won't call out and calls him is brothers. I mean if you think todd white is a great great man of God. I have no interest in anything you have to tell me about the Bible. None none none Kissel Ivan Ivan town is a two parter so after he'd this says hey guys love you both So find to have you both on here. I know someone where their church has been using more hill. No Song worship They are specifically using ones. That are theologically accurate in lyrics example Mana Sarah's but it's really hard for this person to deal with during worship service any advice advice other than other than run. That would be my advice off the bat I wouldn't I wouldn't necessarily run from Church Church immediately. The first yes. That's true he'll saw would not do that. As strongly encouraged people and churches do not play Hilson. Music in your church. Do not play Jesus culture because these these things they come from false churches. They come from colts in even if some of their songs will pass a doctrinal smell test and quite honestly some of them. Do you know not all but some of them do It's very dangerous to sing their music because he put the lear example screen in the unsuspecting person sitting out there in the Pew. They're looking up Sunday morning reading the lyrics singing along and then they see in the fine print because they always lead legally amped this up there they see on the fine print music by Hilson. Oh also I think I'll check them out. They must be okay. We're sticking their music right and so they use their music as their own. Perverted form of evangelism absolutism. They use their music as as a hook to pull people into their false theological system so brother. If our you when I would I do I would go to. Leadership go to the music director the pastor. They elders and lovingly gently. Not In an accusatory way. Not Saying would is anybody watching Lovingly explained to him what Hill Song Years and You pinpoint him to have some resources. I can see it and ask them. Please don't sing this. Please please reconsider singing this stuff and hopefully Hopefully they would do so. You are actually coming in. You should come in. This is a live show where you're supposed to come in and ask questions or taking so Richard Story. Sorry says female pope I will use that. Love it To which. Kt says love. We Sary's and Radio Chris on holds emerged story story. They were Kinda half the team. There wasn't balancing the universe. Just Chris but Chris was doing that because I gave him a hard. I've been giving him a hard time as well. They they got consistent where they were doing sir doing weekly shows but they replay shows. I kinda got a little bit. And so he did show by himself to make sure that the first year they had a show So here's a question for Moreland Wilson. He's a with the Gospel Truth. If you listen to that It's a podcast and also. He's got a youtube channel. I've done us a debate. A couple of debates and interviews there So moreland says what would be a a approach to begin dialogue concerning word of faith. Nonsense incense I have many family members who follow different individuals. That are a part that are a part of this movement. Yeah thank you Marlin. Great Question. what I like to do with people start with something very simple and concrete just to kind of get a feel feel for where they are in their willingness to submit to God's word and I'll start with something easy like healing physical healing and I'll ask them they believe that it's always gonna be healed and they will inevitably say yes Kasit. The object in they don't show examples of faithful servants of God all throughout the Bible who were not healed. who were sick and who were not? He'll Moses Executive Orders Eleven Elisha second kings thirteen indict of in the Orleans David several places Some some seventy one. The also Paul's Second Timothy wrote to Timothy Take a little wind your stomach and you frequent almost didn't they. Bustle ball himself. In relations for thirteen had a bodily illness flat out says he was. I am bodily illness and so then I ask them. What do you do with them? And so now the ball's in their court they're going to have to decide. Who am I going to believe this prosperity? Preacher this word faith guys and listening to or what I see in black and and white right in front of me inscription and generally. You're going to get one of responses. I enough had both. I've had people literally I show them these things in scripture in the have I've literally had people say I don't care what that says I know God what make people sick. My God wouldn't make anybody sick and I think well you're right. You're God what the the God of the Bible so if their if their heels are dug in if they if they refuse to have their theology corrected from scripture. Then there's no other card to play there's nowhere else to go after that You you talk about the weather talking about who the ball game but you can't talk about the Z.. Because they're they're not willing to have the record from description So so but on the other hand if you get a response something more like wow. I don't know I've never. I've never seen that before. I never thought about that before. You know if cents a bit some humility before scripture A willingness to bend their need to the truth. And that's what we hope to see this. What you want to see and you spend more time with that person digging deeper into the word of God in the nets as kind of what you're looking for is just a willingness to think for from that person to think? Wow maybe I do need to take a look at this. And that's that tells me that they're at least just willing to bend their need of scripture and which is a hallmark of a bully before we get to Andrew who came in. He's irregular Darryl asks a question there from the water we eat. What are we doing here? podcast who he hasn't been podcasting a while they'd been kind of busy with life about they have Some foster kids and so he asked this question. What will happen I will we drop it new episode of what are we doing here or new new decay grow? What what do you think? What's your prediction? I'm not serve as Tom Mind. Lord Willing I don't want to the Lord Willing. I'm hoping in about two weeks. Maybe sooner than that. I'm I'm hoping about. I'm going to bring Andrew through in Hello Andrew interest from Australia's injury. Hey so injuring. How are you brother the other two well unfortunately on from the hill zone side of things unfortunately the bread reflects Which has never sat? Well with me. I've never actually agreed with a lot of end. A lot of the Bethel stuff is what might actually things things to and I thought Dr to deal with the church with the Neil this end I guess some some of the songs we stopped seeing I think but I guess my question is in Churches Warning signs to look out for Richard judges becoming it. Okay Yeah Yeah Great Greg question brother a warning signs. I would say several things if you start hearing things like God spoke to me. God told me something. That's a big red flag. Bore my antennas. Go Up really fast. When I hear that I agree? Let's qualify. You're saying from a pastor because we did the the theological throwdown podcast where he talked about hearing from God and we we did make some distinction that there's some people just have bad language because they just that's all they know. So you're saying when you hear pulpit yeah leadership when you're hearing it from the leadership that's a big red flag when you if you if you notice a a diminishing of sin not much talk about San Not much talk about the wrath of God That's a big red flag. If you start hearing things like you know Jeremiah Twenty nine eleven eleven and taking that out of context and God wants to bless you not harm you give you a future hall. I can so if MHM now. Yeah those are court there would be some of the the mild irs stuff but nonetheless big very very very concerning because it tells me the direction starches going obviously some of the things that in any church. Typically you say you have not yeah not yet not yet but then waived going through it. You're saying you're you know they're playing like for example that city I are playing hill. Song and You Talk to the leadership and they recognize that hill song is a colt and it's bad but but they still think the music is good and okay. Well that might showed the startup. Where they're they're not discerning and they're they're starting to to allow things in slowly and so that's the chih-ming away you'll see things when they start when you have leadership that starts making excuses his for things that they were especially if you hear them say well we know that's bad but then that's a beginning point? Okay yeah now I have a much bang. Usually I'd like I said we've We've appointed youth NASA. So he said so. I think this Waco Knicks way at some point this year he has doubts We've just gone through senior pasta as well. A Pasta stepped up We've had a lot of changes to on a lot of. It does happen in the history of stuff and a lot of times. This happened. Yeah we need. We need us from youth. Minister definitely goes. I didn't have one. We went down to two ministers for awhile. We had three Three at one point and end So we had the senior the system and the lady who takes care of the council. It's in the counseling side of things which Judge Office And I'm not trying to defame that I'm just trying to kind of I. I don't know what the word is the church really unless it does start to speak warning signs and if I see them I will run and I guess that's really really the best that I can do isn't that just keep my eye a opin. Well try to you know. Look try to meet with your leadership trying to get to to help them. Let me give you the side of a pastor you know pastors often are being bombarded by a lot of people and it's hard it's not easy and they have a lot of people ask him to be involved this ministry this ministry this Ministry and Sometimes they get worn out they get burnt out and they get tired and they're not always doing what uh-huh what's right sometimes. Because they're doing what's easy They're being boarded all the time so having come alongside them and lift them up and support them and encourage them to do what's right. Maybe sometimes. That's all that's needed. So maybe that's something. Yeah do do while. He's he's also at the moment when he gets back G. You only gets back molest token because one particular song. I think it's called silo. I what I stopped trying to mix evolution into it billions of years. And that's a red flag. That's not necessarily a red flag. That's just liberalism. Reflect Illogical Liberal Theology Ashcroft Baptist. Church is name of my church however however Dan Patterson is one vow former pastas and he works for as I am now as a Paula just add had. He's a great guy very approachable. The very reason that went to the church was because he was and his very friendly very approachable and he's he's a really Nice Guy Side I have I have very little issue actually with lots of stuff specifically typically with people but we did also have a women nailed his past about a year and a half ago. You you allow for Women Pastors Women Elders. You Bet memory care. That's I would actually say that's passed a red flag. I've done thinking I'm thinking that it's like they don't play as much as a mile does for example but our loud banging I mean. That's a tough one to two year to say that there's not serious issue there. I'm I'm not saying that's not a serious issue. I'm just saying is that really. I mean there's a local Presbyterian church within walking distance that unfortunately one Claude is the the next one is probably closer than this church. The guy to at the moment but it's kind of tough to decide. Well I would. I would recommend Mendon Presbyterian Church over a bad baptist Virginia necks. Yeah I came from the Presbyterian I've I've I've done that I've done quite a bit Many yet 'cause we got twenty minutes left to try to get a lot of questions here. So thanks Andrew. We'll see you the thanks for having me your welcome Nice Andrew enjoys comes in so let's see we got a couple. I'M GONNA I'm trying to get through some of these quicker there's some notes okay so Dirk says for years now. I've supported a friend's campus ministry. He leads it but those But for those years he continued to sit under an assembly of God. Pastor shows little to no discernment recently gave applause to a newer A.. New Heavenly Tourism Book you need to dodge okay Over over this time my friend has continued to grow in in his Denomination beliefs and deny sound doctrine also showing little discernment And a hyper love attitude. TORD false teachers. Should I continue supporting the his ministry I I would say I would say justin repeaters dot. Org and then go to the Doni Bar. That's what I would say. I would say that would be a very a very good use of your support Definitely not be supporting that guy. Yeah no that's a that's a shocking lack of disarmament so that that bad. What did you bet I knew you were GonNa GonNa rip the diggers again? You know Okay so here facebook facebook users says what does a Schreier Cicek you can just over that one Ciller Sarabeth more two peas in a pod. Basically I mean they they pretty much teach the same thing yeah they're very very similar. Priscilla Sire teaches they. You can learn how to hear the voice of God outside of Scripture and she has a whole series on that in fact. And so that for me is Disqualifying yeah yeah. She's big in social justice stuff and all that so darryl says From what are we even doing. Your Raucous love your brothers. Thank you for your ministry. Keep preaching the truth of God. Like cody from Texas says enjoyed Justin's Justin's walk through the voices. That's on your old podcast. That's on the podcast. Feed for dedicated and on your flash drive of from that series. Will you have have him elaborate on his position on his age of accountability and justification for it. Also I'd like him to talk about his position on and Pleading elite pledging allegiance to the flag. I've changed my position on that and agree with him. So if you could briefly go over those yeah okay thank you glad you enjoyed the Witnessing to the witnesses that was innocent. Did you listen you why you're surprised that I listened to your stuff. I don't know okay. I don't recall you saying anything about how did tell you. Listen to all the PODCASTS. Make sure they were with. I listened to her Angel Cap. Excuse me age of accountability. And you know that's it's not explicitly taught in scripture I've kind of in others like John. Macarthur have inferred it from you know when in the Old Testament Jewish tradition custom when a when a child was began to transition to adult was considered to be an adult roundabout year age. Twelve in. This is hard age of accountability ability. Thing that isn't in the Bible. No it's not finish the job. Here's this is one of the few very few areas justice denied disagree on the How it there's A? There's a clear distinction distinction in scripture between a contrast rather should said contrast between the nature of children and the nature of of Salvation Conversion of Paul says. When I was a child you just think like a child reason like a job talk like a job but when it became a man I did away way with challenge things you know their children? Think like joyner young very childish thanking a five six. Your old child is not going to be able to wrestle with sin but God darn it to you. That's because you don't know the new thing. Oh you had transgenderism. Do you know the new thing is now trans ageism where you have no. I'm not getting this new where you has awesome you. Have you have people that. Think there really are five and six year olds living cribs as adults okay. Okay I digress games grandfather and he thinks he's an eight year old girl a thirty six year old girl and so soon adopted into his family know the culture is not going insane. Yeah Yeah thank you almost forget. So you're though that we think as a child yeah at least one of us was paying attention to what he was saying. A five six seven year. Old Child is thing about this one. Children children aged five six and seven. They believe in Santa clause if they're talking about Santa Claus they believe in so their intellectual capacity is such that it allows house for the belief in a red suit who goes all around. The world visits every home in one night on a sled pulled by a team of flying wind rain do their intellectual capacity allows for belief in that in. We're GONNA Trust that same child who believes in that to wrestle with the Trinity Godly sorrow over Sin Repentance the wrath of God no no. I'm sorry there's the away so anyway I'll become second resources. You're Kunia good book to get his go to go. To Justin's website just appears that Oregon get his book on Childhood Conversion. I think that even though there are some things he and discredited as action action excellent work on explaining all the the details. It's going to play a much more detail than you know than here so Do the book is do not hinder them. So I just computer so get that Nigga all right let me get this answered quickly with Diverting it Melissa's questions how do we answer people with regards to Muslims having visions of Jesus. What ought to say here unless you wanted to answer it? Here I'll just say that we we got. We're going to address this in greater detail on the theological throw podcast. We have got about US talking about it the so yes Melissa. Thank you very much great question we do we will. Endor said deal with more much more in depth but suffice it to say right here I am beyond on skeptical and I put no wait in in these claims of Muslims having visions of Jesus none at all. But I'll flesh that out more detail detail as to why I don't on that podcast. So Theology throwdown is the name of the podcast was to get on your podcast APP. You know who's the best pastor to listen to yours your pastor a lot of people supplement. Were they here on Sunday with someone here on radio five six days a week and your pastors the one who is pouring. He's the one who spending ending time or should be at least pouring into your life pouring into to having to help you know God's word for he's the one pouring in that you would be growing in your spiritual knowledge in your in your spirit maturity he the one. You should be listening into the most so I would say your pastor is who should be. The most star Spinner Anil radio now first first time someone on facebook so he tries to counter burned over. District's those are fun So this probably the last the question for the evening Maybe not both the James White supports Michael Brown. What does that make him? False teacher or confused. Now I'm just really curious to your answer to that spot a no pressure but I. I can't help. They asked you would you. Would you like to Charlie early Charleston's questions instead. Oil His his nonsense. He's coming up with. He's allowing. I've not I've had very very little all time of bear very little time. One with docker wide James White so it's hard to say I'm not talking about it I don't I don't get it. I'm sorry a blonde SPA. That's a you know I think that's I think. And I think this is like you and I had talked about this in the past. And I think that he's got is a blind align spot that people have when you're friends with someone you you can have a blind spot and overlook Areas is that you disagree or overlook things that you should say to them and you don't And so the the reality is that You know that is something we have to be aware of you guys here watch regularly know Matt Slick and I disagree on lots of things There's things people have asked me. Well I call that out on it publicly. I have no need to 'cause I call things out to him privately. That's that's where it should be handled. I areas where he and I disagree. Don't have to be And I I just wish I wish that James White would be saying. Hey I talked to Michael privately about things. I disagree with You know and we do handle it so Unfortunately I'm not hearing that. There's this one probably neural. Think of Urban Omar. You're going to bring them up so rod right asks.
