"I mean, I haven't heard it put like that, but it's a good point, you raise. Yes, sir. Bill, what are you doing? Your kids, you're youngsters. What do you tell the next generation? Well, I had them in through scap and everything like that and we taught them patriotism and I've been a murr batch counselor and I taught cissy shit in the community and the nation merit badges and one of the things that I would work with the kids. I'd have him do the immigration test a hundred questions during that for national and you know what? They learned a lot in my classes. Bill, it sounds like you're a patriot yourself and it's really incumbent upon all of us to teach that next generation of American kids. What it means to be an American and why it matters. You know, Reagan said it's not something that we passed down in the bloodstream, so we have to work hard on it. I think he said, we're one generation away from losing the country every year. That's it. You're right about that. All right, Bill, God bless you and thank you for listening to this program and thank you for being a patriot. 8 four four 747 88 68. Let's go to Michael listening to us on our live stream. I'm Michael, what say you? It all comes down to kind of a simple thing when they took prayer and vibrate out of our public schools. It all stems from all that. I do believe. Do you remember Michael when you were a kid to the gideons ever come to your school and give out the bibles? Yes, the idea and I was fortunate enough my mom and dad sacrificed individual Christian school, but yes, they're getting as good coming and they give everybody a little New Testament. I still get mine. You know, I still have mine. It's a little green New Testament, little tiny little thing fits in your pocket. You know what I found interesting about that, Michael, is that in many public schools, they will not allow these good Christian businessmen to come in and give children a Bible, but they're letting the Satan worshippers come into our public schools. It's a crime shame and you got to get back to church. I'm going to revival tonight and I'm looking to have a good time. All right, so your church still has revival meetings. Yes, sir. Yes, sir. We've got revival. I wish they did all week, but they start signing Sunday Night and they go through wings tonight, but I remember when I was a kid, they used to have two weeks. I'm pretty impressed by that, Michael. Yeah, I remember a long time ago. We used to do those Sunday to Sunday revival meetings. And now you're lucky to get a one day revival meeting and a lot of these churches. You're exactly right. And one other thing I wanted to tell you Todd starn is keep playing October Keith here as your theme song. I like it. Michael, he's been he's been our theme song singer from day one and we're not making any changes to that. It's a great song, and if you know the lyrics, it fits with exactly what we do on this show every day. Exactly right. You keep holding the torch up high start and we'll talk to you later. All right, Michael, God bless you and thank you for listening to us. What say you ladies and gentlemen, isn't it odd that we live in a country where they won't let the gideons come and give the children a Bible, but they're going to let the Satan worshippers come in. And the drag queens let's go to roger and Georgia. And our great affiliate there. Hi, roger. Hey Todd. Good afternoon. What's on your mind? Rep. Scott Perry: Supporting Mandate for U.S. History College Course

"Unfortunately, the subversive left and particularly the communists that have been operating in our country since the 30s have been on the steady path of changing that. And so while we just assumed that everybody gets, most people, I think, a lot of people, maybe not most, but a lot of people don't even know what this country is about. They don't even know what a republic is. And if they did, I think they would be stomping mad about what's happening all around them and the freedoms and the liberties, the choices that have been taken away from them by an oppressive. It is an oppressive federal government and so if look, I don't like any kind of mandates from government and that force us into things. But we're going to have to realize that we're in a war with the left. We are in a war with the left, which seeks to undermine the very foundations of this nation and change it into something unrecognizable to every single American. And if we're going to be in that world, we're going to have to we're going to have to fight without our hands tied behind our back. And so advocating for love of country and understanding of the foundation of this nation and what governance is supposed to be here and what is not supposed to be, we can't assume that people know it and it's going to have to be a fundamental requisite if we're going to maintain the republic that we hope to live in. Denise Quinn: Calls for Consequences to Address 'Reign of Terror'

"I'm curious to know how things go out there in the Pacific Northwest, because I'm from the south. And I grew up under the threat of being beaten with a fiberglass panel with holes drilled in it from the principal so that there was there was no air cushion there, right? Right. And then with the promise that I would get it twice as bad once I got home and that pretty much kept most of us on the straight and narrow and I will say this when I graduated, there had never been a mass shooting in any American high schools. That's the same for me. I grew up with an Italian mother. So I knew the wooden spoon pretty well. Oh, yeah. Yeah, you're right. There was discipline. There was consequences to your actions and we've taken that all out. I mean, I draw the school bus for the district in the 20 and the 2000s. And even back then, they were taking away tools and you could see the decline in behavior. So you're right. If there's consequences and there's punishment, I know you were talking about Corporal punishment. That would never fly out here, but my gosh, if we could get SR student resource officers back and have some consequences, I think that would go a long way towards sort of pulling back this reign of terror. And you think about there was one incident with the lawsuit. There was basically a teacher kind of held hostage for over three hours before anybody would come and help her. I mean, it's out of control and it has to stop.

Denise Quinn: A Dangerous Reality in Portland Schools

"Good friend, she is one of the great host at KY kn and Salem Oregon, Denise Quinn, Denise how's it going to be? Hey Todd, it's going well. And I'm not in Portland. Thank goodness. I am in Salem. So there's that. My word almighty. Oh my God. So how bad is it in the schools? Well, you know, the oregonian story about the middle school is up in Portland. Some of the examples that they cite will curl your hair. I mean, they're terrible. Even down here in Salem, we currently in the Salem Kaiser school district, there's a bunch of teachers that have filed a lawsuit against the district because they've taken school resource officers every disciplinary tool every common sense thing that you would think would be in place to deal with these issues is gone. And it's in there now with let's talk to them. Let's wrap like they used to say in the 70s. Let's have a conversation. And these kids are out of control. And it's not doing them any good and teachers are being injured. Other students are being terrorized in classes because they don't remove the student who's acting out. They remove everybody else. It's.

President Trump Announces New Nickname for Joe Biden

"Donald Trump. In New Hampshire. And I am so proud of the president. He stayed on message. He was funny. He looked refreshed. He was having fun, even gave Joe Biden a new nickname cut number ten. I will be retiring the name crooked from Hillary Clinton and her moniker. And I'm going to give her a new name. I don't know, like maybe lovely Hillary or beautiful Hillary, but I'm going to retire. The name crooked. So that we can use the name for Joe Biden because he'll be known from now on as crooked Joe Biden. I love it. Love it. You would think that Hillary would be very happy today. She'll be, I think she'll be she's out there, someplace celebrating. Because there's never been anyone in the history of American politics, so crooked or dishonest is Joe Biden. And the press absolutely refuses to report it all that prospect there. Because frankly, they're just as crooked as he is, and they are just as crooked, the choice of this election is now between strength and weakness between success or failure between safety or anarchy between peace or conflict and prosperity or catastrophe. We are living in a catastrophe. We certainly are.

IRS Plans to Hire Armed Agents in All 50 States

"You don't turn in your taxes, there's going to be a knock at the door and when you open the door, you could be staring down the barrel of a gun. With an IRS agent, about ready to pull the trigger. This is bonkers, nuts, ladies and gentlemen, and correct me if I'm wrong here, but I do believe that one of the reasons why the Republicans wanted to take control of the House of Representatives was to stop the Internal Revenue Service from hiring any new people. Much less armed agents who are literally going to be dispatched to all 50 states. Now, the Washington examiner has a fascinating fascinating story. It turns out, according to the watchdog group, opened the books. That there are more armed federal agents with firearm authority than there are U.S. Marines. Now I want you to let that sink in for just a moment. The Department of Health and Human Services alone we're talking HHS spent more than $400,000 on tactical combat gear. Why do they need that? Why did they spend $85,000 on ballistic plates and body armor? And why does HHS have nearly 500 armed agents? Now get this, since 2006, the Department of Health and Human Services spent $154 million on guns and ammo. Now what do you think that's all about?

Rep. Scott Perry: We Passed Something; Biden Will Still Blame Us

"He's going to continue to blame us and what's frustrating is is we've actually passed something and he said that we couldn't and that's why he didn't have to deal with. That's what we have passed something. Where is the Senate? Why aren't they even working on it? Why is this now the responsibility of the House of Representatives? We have put an offer on the table. And I know that the president has put an offer on the table. His offer is, I won't negotiate. You're going to just you're just going to increase the credit card limit. Well, okay, I might not like meeting in the middle, but his position is still. I will not negotiate. You're just going to do this. And somehow, the leftist media just continues to side with him and tell the American people that he's on the side of being correct. How is it responsible while our dollar is flailing in the internationally and we've reached the debt limit mostly by actions of Democrats, Joe Biden, his party and leftist in our party, why is it our responsibility to not only pay the bills of this wrongful spending this unaffordable and mostly unwanted spending, but also allow them to just keep on taking more of hard earned tax dollars from American citizens. And so that's what's frustrating to me. I think that we're going to have to look, we're going to have to stay on offense. And I hope that there's a press conference next week in the Senate that says to Chuck Schumer, while the house sent us a bill, why don't you take it up and let's see if it can pass, right? Don't tell us it can't pass. You've told us that in the past and things did move through the Senate. And then what's President Biden is going to say, they're all covering for each other and their lack of willingness to actually address the problem, all they want to do is just keep on taking more money and spending more money. It is unacceptable.

Caller: 'You Don't Need to Blow Out Someone Else's Candle'

"There's a saying I learned when I was in the military. You don't have to blow out someone else's candle to make yours look brighter. And the desantis is not the enemy. At all. He's on our side. Now, we have many people on our side as some are better than others. But Trump needs to focus on what the enemy is, not who isn't the enemy. You get what I'm saying. He's Reagan had that rule the 13th commandment. Don't go after your own people. Something and I know I'm paraphrasing it. Yes, yeah, I think it was the 11th commandment, but yeah, so unless there are a couple of well, I'm baptist, so we may have left off a couple of those, but no, I get your point. I get your point. And you look at Trump's administration. The high turnover and the disparaging of people that were in his own administration. And this is where a lot of people soured on him. If I mean, if it came down to two choices, then there was no Democrat in the race and it was Trump and desantis. I would vote for desantis because desantis has shown a lot more class and a lot more character. Okay. And I'm talking Christian character. I'm a born again believer. Okay. And yeah, this isn't perfect either. And that's the other thing is we don't use you have said this and I've said it to people. We don't trust in men. We trust in the lord. So men are fallible and we've got to be careful how we glorify certain people and set them up on pedestals.

Tucker Carlson Breaks Silence After Fox News Firing on Twitter

"The other thing you notice when you take a little time off is how unbelievably stupid most of the debates you see on television are. They're completely irrelevant. They mean nothing. In 5 years, we won't even remember that we had them. Trust me, as someone who's participated, and yet at the same time, and this is the amazing thing. The undeniably big topics, the ones that will define our future, get virtually no discussion at all. War, civil liberties, emerging science, demographic change, corporate power, natural resources. When was the last time you heard a legitimate debate about any of those issues? It's been a long time. Debates like that are not permitted in American media. Both political parties and their donors have reached consensus on what benefits them. And they actively collude to shut down any conversation about it. Suddenly, the United States looks very much like a one party state. That's a depressing realization, but it's not permanent. Our current orthodoxies won't last. Their brain did. Nobody actually believes them. Hardly anyone's life is improved by them. This moment is to inherently ridiculous to continue. And so it won't. The people in charge know this, that's whether hysterical and aggressive. They're afraid. They've given up persuasion, they're resorting to force. But it won't work. When honest people say what's true, calmly and without embarrassment, they become powerful. At the same time, the liars who've been trying to silence them shrink and they become weaker. That's the iron law of the universe, true things prevail. Where can you still find Americans saying true things? There aren't many places left, but there are some, and that's enough. As long as you can hear the words, there is hope. See you soon.

Fox Corporation Feeling the Effects of No Tucker Carlson

"We've got some new info on Tucker Carlson. I know a lot of people really following this story and I will say that this is just bad news all around for Fox. I mean bad news. The network's lost some $800 million in market value since they fired Tucker and the ratings are in a tailspin. We understand the latest and by the way, Brian kilmeade hosting in place of Tucker, trying to hold down the fort in that time slot, and it's just not going good, they've lost about 50% of the audience, and the ratings are collapsing among this key demographic. Now, I don't want to get into the weeds about ratings and all that kind of stuff, but this is an important demographic because this is if you're an advertiser, you're looking to reach these viewers 25 years old to 54 years old. And they've pretty much collapsed. Third place, Fox News and that time slot third place. MSD and C beating Fox News. I mean, these are levels according to mediaite that Fox News has not seen since before, 9 11. That would have been in 2001, so this is really not good for the network. Brian kilmeade is out there defending Fox, you know, Steve Bannon. Has not been very kind to Fox News channel and kill mead was blasting Steve Bannon and pointed out that Bannon got fired from the Trump administration. And so kill me is on a tear, he says, you know, a lot of folks are wondering what the future of Fox News is going to look like, and he said that Steve Bannon declared war on Fox. Rep. Chris Stewart: What Happens If Debt Ceiling Plan Changes in 2024?

"Of the frustration among Republicans is that a lot of your colleagues campaign on were not going to raise the debt ceiling anymore, and you guys keep raising the debt ceiling. And I get it. You've got these concessions built in, but what happens? Let's just say, in 2024, you guys lose control of the House. What happens to that 14 year plan to reduce spending? Well, that's a fair question. And look, I'm not going to be pollyannish about that. The truth is that as a future Congress could change previous law. But it does give us a framework and once those appropriations process begin around a ten year plan, there is a lot of momentum in order to keep those savings in place. So would I tell you that if we lose the House in 2024 God forbid, by the way, we not only need to keep the house, but we've got to witness in at the presence of the earth may not matter anyway, because democratic colleagues are so intent on just destroying and tearing apart the very foundation of our country, but let's say that worst case and we do lose the house. Yeah, there's no question that the Democrats may come in and repeal some of this or maybe all of it. They may try it, but it's much harder for them to do it once it's actually put into law. Then the second thing is, some of those cost savings will have already occurred. So there is there's good news on that side. But yeah, there's no doubt Todd, you have to fight for this now and then you've got to continue to pay for it because the Democrats aren't going to roll over. They're not going to give up. They'll certainly come back and attack this plan. Every year, whether they're in the majority of the minority, the fight will always be ongoing with them because again, they want to spend spend spend. They see no downside at all to having $32 trillion in total debt. They believe there's this magical ferry that can make money and that it doesn't have any cost result to it.

"Congressman, a couple of things that you guys have been pretty busy up on Capitol Hill today. What can you tell us before we get to South Korea and China? I'd like to get an update on this debt ceiling. I know that there were some early late hours early morning hours. Yeah, which isn't terribly unexpected. I mean, that happens is a complicated Bill by the way. It's kind of a generational bill if you're interested in cutting government waste and government spending. And if you care at all about the debt, this is an important Bill. But those kind of late night changes were very technical. I mean, the alliance some dates with requiring the work requirement. If you think it's nothing substituted adult and we met together as a conference this morning. And I think we're going to actually be able to get this passed. I've said that for the last week or so maybe ten days that I think everyone's going to coalesce behind this. We're seeing that. But oh my gosh, Todd, 4.8 trillion in savings, it stops the 87,000 IRS agents that caps government growth to 1% of a year from for the next ten years. There's all sorts of good stuff in this bill, but more than that, it finally compels Biden to come to the table. He's got to come out of the basement in The White House and actually engage us. And you just can't ignore us after we pass this bill, it will force him to come and negotiate with us, which is what he should have been doing two months ago.

"To give my input on Tucker Carlson. If you believe that they fired him because he has called people names. I got some swamp land to save you. Recall, all you got to do is ask yourself, who is happy? You've just been naming all of The Pentagon, all the Biden administration. They fired him because he released those tapes. So you think that's it. I think the absolutely that's it. Where's the rest of the time? And keep in mind, keep in mind, the Republicans have done forgot about the ones he released. So here's a joke. It's a just having we know why they got rid of it. I'm gonna talk, and then you'll have a chance, but you're gonna be quiet right now and let me finish my thought. I said, this could be one theory, because none of this makes any sense. But let me ask you this, Chris, are you self employed or do you work for somebody? I work for somebody. All right, male or female. Male. All right, well let's just say for the sake of it that it was a female your work for. You go up to your boss and you call your boss the C word. Politico: Pentagon Officials Cheer Tucker Carlson’s Ouster

"Pentagon is celebrating the demise of Tucker Carlson. And I can not tell you how dangerous this is. So Politico is reporting that Pentagon officials are celebrating and cheering the firing of Tucker Carlson. They say that Tucker has been bad for business. They say that Tucker has insulted The Pentagon far too many times. Well, you know what, The Pentagon deserved to be insulted. The fact of the matter is, we are not capable at this very moment of fighting a war with Russia or China. And we know that based on the number of lawmakers, all military veterans who have been on this program, and they said Todd, you know, we're seeing this in real time. They are spending so much effort so much money, not on learning how to kill the Chinese or the Russians, but they're spending this money on pronoun confusion on gender equality on the white privilege nonsense. Critical race theory, Black Lives Matter, turning our fighting men and women into social justice warriors. Reading from Politico, Carlson's criticism of Biden era personal policies appealed to many of the rank and file, which is not true, which has a large block of conservative members. But at the upper levels of the Defense Department, news of Carlson's firing was met with delight and outright glee. And by the way, all of these DoD officials are unnamed. They're anonymous. WSJ: Tucker Carlson's Vulgar Language About Colleagues Sealed His Fate

"Story out of The Wall Street Journal. And a lot of people are really upset about Fox News dumping Tucker Carlson. So I want to talk briefly about this and get your take because I need to posit a theory with you and idea. Because right now nobody's talking. But we do know this, we can confirm these details. Tucker's staff showed up Monday, expecting to go to work on a show for Monday night. We know for a fact that Tucker got a phone call, said don't even bother coming to the office, you're done. Now Tucker's making give or take $20 million a year. A lot of money. A lot of money. Based on all the text messages that have come out as a result of the dominion lawsuit, it wasn't so much that Tucker was involved in the dominion stuff because he really wasn't. But what was interesting was the vitriol, the language that was used in a lot of these emails and these text messages. So is it possible? Is it remotely possible that maybe all of us got this wrong? Wall Street Journal has a story up. Tucker Carlson's vulgar offensive messages about colleagues helped seal his fate at Fox News. According to the information and all of this is out there, so this is really not in dispute. I mean, Tucker said what he said in these messages. But Tucker called a senior female executive the C word. In a redacted missive, and it turns out that apparently Carlson did not want that text message redacted. He wanted people to know about it.

Everything, huh? They're saying this thing is being shoved through and they haven't had a chance to really talk about this, but the house is scheduled to vote sometime today. To raise the debt ceiling. Now there is there are some spending cuts connected to this, but we don't have the details. So that's my concern is all of this is being done in closed doors. A House rules committee chairman Tom Cole, from Oklahoma, told reporters that he does have the votes. This is after a 6 hour hearing overnight to get the bill ready for the floor. And I think we've all been down this road before ladies and gentlemen, where lawmakers, when they stay overnight in the capital, very bad things happen to your wallet and sometimes to the interns. No, I'm just kidding. But nothing good ever happens after dark at the U.S. capitol. I think we can all agree to that. So

Carl Higbie: The Left Is Terrified of Tucker Carlson

"Carl certainly a lot going on this week. Last night, I was on the show with you. We were talking about Tucker Carlson, what is the, what are you guys hearing at newsmax? So just again, almost what, 24 hours after all this came out. I mean, we're hearing a lot of the same stuff that you guys are hearing and that you've been talking about on this. But the fact of the matter is it's like, and I said this last night, know your audience. If the bulk of the people who tune into your network tune in because of Tucker Carlson maybe don't chop down the money trade. And certainly it looks like they've done that. I mean, more than $70 million in revenue Tucker brought in and it trails off from there. And again, he had the largest audience on the entire network and you wonder, okay, what's up for Tucker next? Is he going to land at newsmax? Is he going to start his own company? I think he's got a lot of options. Oh, sure. I mean, look, I'll be honest, I haven't heard anything about him coming up. What I like it. Of course I would it be fantastic for the however, you know, I haven't heard anything about that. But at the end of the day, I mean, Tucker is a machine. I actually know him not super well, but personally I think he's incredibly smart person. The left that you can tell by their ramped up attacks on him over the last 5 years. The left is absolutely terrified of because he brings a logical conversation to literally everything he does rather than hysteria. And that's what's so damning to the left for him. And they went after him. They boycotted his advertisers and everything like that. But the problem is Todd is that it's not just Tucker. Tucker's not the guy. Tucker was just the guy out in front. So they're going to find the next guy who's in line. I mean, hopefully one day, maybe it's even me, where they will just relentlessly attack you no matter what. No matter what your views are, if you don't vote for their guy, you are the bad guy and you must be destroyed because they usually go to the standard talking point of literally Hitler.

"All right, we got to take a break here, 8 four four 747 88 68 that is our toll free telephone number that's 8 four four 747 88 68. I want to tell you about the Todd starn store. We don't talk a lot about this. Now, of course, we have all of my books there. But we also have lots of other great stuff, including some incredible ball caps, and these are top quality ball caps, the I'm politically incorrect ball cap. You're going to love it. It will trigger people. I just want you to be aware. So if people see you coming, they're going to walk to the other side. We also have a great line of t-shirts and coffee mugs, the blessed not bitter coffee mug. It's great to pair alongside the biscuit book. So you got to have a cup of coffee with your biscuit, and you're going to be able to get that over at the Todd starnes store. Again, you can access that at Todd starns dot com. We'll be right back. All right, folks, again, Todd stern's dot com. Check out our store. We've got some great merch for you. And also some pretty nice Mother's Day presence as well. By the way, O'Reilly gains us out there and man, is she doing a great job standing up for biological girls, women, young ladies everywhere. And now Leah Thomas is speaking at, that's the dude. And by the way, Leah Thomas has a video out, and all I can tell you is it looks like Leah Thomas, how can I put this delicately? I think Leah stopped taking the lady pills. Because his voice is deeper than mine. But he's got the long hair and it's sort of like a pinkish color and he's wearing this giant tank top that says trans athletes belong in sports. Well, nobody's disputing that, mister Thomas. But what we are in disputing is, should you be competing against women? Why not just create a third category of sports or better yet? Why don't you swim with them in? Mister Thomas is now advocating for a new rule. And by the way, President Biden says he's standing with Leah Thomas, mister Thomas. And the transgender athletes, President Biden announced that his administration wants to establish a policy that outright bans on transgender athletes would violate title 9 and title 9 was literally created to protect women's sports. According to the New York Post, however, schools that receive federal dollars could still enact policies that limit transgender students participation, specifically in high school and college sports. Mister Thomas was asked about this. Here's what he had to say. This rule is a good start. However, it is not enough. During this time of intense anti trans backlash, the trans community needs explicit protection from discrimination in order to live our lives freely and equally. All right, thank you, Leah Thomas..

"Now look, we are expecting congressman Mark green to join us in the next hour of the show, but a heads up. That Homeland Security committee meeting is still underway, so it may or may not happen. I just want to give you a heads up there, but regardless we have a great final hour of the program lined up for you. Also, folks, I haven't talked about the daily biscuit book in a while, and I am such a huge fan of this project. My good friend Michelle Cox and I wrote this devotion book, it is hilarious. It is inspirational and we actually invited a lot of you guys to send us recipes which we included in the book. Our daily biscuit, devotions with a drawl, and you can get a copy on Amazon or on my website or wherever you buy your books. I will say this Mother's Day is coming up and if you, if you want a book that is really going to make an impact, you want to get this for your mom for your grandmother or if you have an aunt or sister, it is a great book for them to have. And I want you to go to our website. If you go to the Todd starn store, I will personally autograph and inscribe a copy for your mom for the lady in your life on Mother's Day. And we just, look, it's a lot of fun. And I love writing the political books and I'll have another one coming out later this year. But this was a lot of fun to write with the Michelle. She is the lead devotion writer for the hallmark series when calls the heart. And she's also from the south of western North Carolina, the Asheville area. And we just had a lot of fun putting this project together and it's done incredibly well. I get pictures from you all the time you're at a bookstore or a gift shop and they've got the book stock and we always love seeing pictures of the book. As a matter of fact, if you have any of our books, or if you have a Todd stern show T-shirt or coffee bug, you ought to send us your photographs and you can do that on social media just send us a message or if you want to post it on our feed you can do that and just give us a great big shout out, which is what this show is all about. So again, our daily biscuit devotions withdrawal, if you want to get it in time for Mother's Day, you got to get those orders in this week. We got to make sure we have enough biscuits in the oven to take care of everybody, but that little thing, that little book has sold thousands and thousands of copies, and we just really appreciate that. I told my publisher at the time, I just want to write one book where I don't get a death threat. And so far, so good. Nobody's nobody's threatened to shoot me because I was bacon biscuits instead of bagels. And you never know these days. It's a wild world out there. So again, our daily biscuit devotions with the draw you can order on Amazon or if you want a signed copy, gotta get those in pretty quickly. You can do that over at Todd stern's dot com. All right, folks, hang tight, our three coming up, we're monitoring the Homeland Security committee meeting. We've got a couple of other big stories to tell you about as well. This is the Tod star's radio show. Life from the Liberty University studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's common sense conservative commentary from Todd stars. "All right, hey, welcome back ladies and gentlemen, I'm Todd starnes happy to have you with us today and by the way, now is a great time for you to head over to Todd starns dot com and check out all the information about our upcoming trip to Israel. We're taking 100 of our listeners to the Holy Land. This is going to be an incredible stand with Israel tour and we would love for you to join us. It's a first class event. You're going to love it. You're going to the accommodations unbelievable. And you need a good place to put your head at night because you're going to be busy during the day touring a lot of these sites. So all the information is over at Todd stern's dot com. Again, Todd starns dot com for information on our upcoming trip to the Holy Land in November of this year. All right. Well, there was an interesting incident in Queens, New York, you might have seen this video. It's gone viral. A large group of teenagers ransacked a restaurant in Queens, New York, the suspects are still on the loose. According to Fox News, the suspects entered fish village in college point on Saturday morning and began trashing the place without saying anything, so it's not like somebody got their order wrong or maybe they wanted shrimp and they got fish. The store manager says, I don't know what happened. And he says that scary Tony who is the manager, he said that they have no idea what this was really all about. Video shows masked teenagers flipping tables, throwing chairs, breaking dishes. He said the group largely consisted of Asians, but that somewhere Hispanic, about 30 customers were inside when it all happened. And again, the attack cost about $20,000 and damages to the restaurant. No arrest had been made. All young people, by the way. Folks, what is going on with our young people? I mean, they're all going bonkers. Are you blaming this on the China virus or bad parenting? 8 four four 747 88 68. That's 8 four four 747 88 60. I mean, if I was the restaurant owner, I would either have armed security there or give the staff members tasers do something. I mean, good grief. That's just terrible. They look like wild animals in there. This story from the blaze, Candace Hathaway. During a budget and appropriations meeting on Thursday, this is happening in Oklahoma. Democrat, state representative Regina Goodwin, referenced the diversity equity and inclusion agenda as God. That's very disturbing to say the least. When we have, again, a state superintendent who does not want to have anything to do with diversity, equity and inclusion. And deity, the adversity I can is God. So diversity, equity, and inclusion is God. And she also said anyone who opposes diversity equity and inclusion should be silenced. Now her comments were in response to some legislation, it was called the education transparency Bill..

"There is a lady's brand called always. It's a brand of women's pads. It's a lady's product for ladies and ladies exclusively. So someone is raising a stink about this because there's a new commercial out for the always brand of women's pads. For always infinity, they had the flex foam. And the ladies product features a man. No, I'm not making this up. From the blaze, a research commercial for the always brand of women's pads features someone who appears to be a man, leaving viewers confused about the advertisement for the menstruation product. The 15 second promotional for always infinity pants with flex foam. Features either a man or a transgender man in its commercial in support of all bodies. Quote, no two bodies are the same. Some pads never got that message. The commercial begins. But audiences are unable to pinpoint whether the actor in question is indeed a man or a biological woman posing as a man. There's a raging debate in a Reddit thread. Asking why would a man ever be a part of this demographic? Quote, this is not an inclusivity thing. This is a you're a biological man and have no need for this product thing. It's true. Oh, dear. There you go, folks. It's the whole world's gone slam crazy. Just slap crazy. Can we talk about Texas tech for just a moment? So they're not having a good year on the basketball court. Not a good year at all. Coach under fire Mark Adams is the head coach of Texas tech. And now he has been suspended. It had nothing to do with the fact that they're not winning basketball games. Apparently, coach Adams was having an issue with one of the players, not wanting to be coachable. And that happens, right? You're a head coach. You've got these kids. They think they're the best things since sliced bread, and they don't want to listen to the coach. So the coach had a private conversation with this player. And during the course of the conversation, the coach who is a Christian man, referenced a Bible verse. And the Bible verse was about how there is always a master and a servant. In other words, there's always a coach and then there's someone who is being coached. And the point of the conversation, which was private behind closed doors, was about coaching and being coachable. Anybody who's played a sport understands exactly what that conversation was about. So now there is trouble because the university says what the coach said by quoting the Bible verse was inappropriate unacceptable and here we go, racially offensive. That's what they're saying. So they have now suspended coach Adams. The coach says, hey, wait a second. I was just quoting from the Bible here. Texas tech says the coach apologized, but that's not true. The coach says that is not true. So get this, Texas tech now believes God's word is racially offensive. Let's hope the red raiders don't need a Hail Mary next season during football. Gotta take a break. This is the Todd starn show. All right, welcome back,.

He goes, I'll tell you one better and he came over and put his arm around me and had him my phone to what if his people then they took a picture. It's great. Oh, there you go. Super nice. Just stalk them until they take your picture. To get you to go away. You got to do it in a non creepy way. You can get me creepy about it. And you both know exactly what I am doing. It's true. It's true. You guys are here tomorrow too, right? No, we're heading back tomorrow. Okay, yeah, two days of this, this is like cpac. First of all, everyone should come. "We're going to be okay. All right, we got to take a break here. 8 four four 747 88 68, toll free telephone number that's 8 four four 747 88 68. This is the Todd starn show. So I've been using ample products for a very long time decades. And I'm just a big fan and I think I have just about every product they've made except for the watch. I don't do watches. But I've been reading about this new update and I have been getting the alerts on my phone over the past couple of days about the new update is at 16.1 16.2. And I'm hearing some pretty disturbing things about this, so apparently, the update, which I have not gotten yet, the update could impact your battery charging time. Which has been a big issue. A lot of people have been complaining when the iOS 16 first came out that the battery charge was just not good, so they've been dealing with this problem for a long time. Now, there is something new happening. So the Apple introduced a clean energy charge. And it claims it's going to reduce your carbon footprint. This is nuts. But anyway, ample says that once you update your phone and the mode has been able, has been enabled your iPhone will charge differently once it's connected to a charger in here's how it works apparently the phone literally gets a report of carbon emissions generated by the local energy grid. And then uses that information to determine when to charge your phone. So in other words, you may need your phone right away and you plug it in and it may take forever to charge because your local energy grid is using too much energy. This is nuts. Anyway, I'm curious to know if any of you folks have gotten the download and what sort of an impact has had because I don't want to look, I'm having enough trouble as is, I had to get a new laptop. The stupid keyboard keeps going out, and I wanted to transfer everything over, but before I could transfer, we had to, we had to do the big update. And then it tells me you have got no space for the update. So you got to buy all this, it's insane. What's been going on with the Apple products. And I'm wondering if it's just me. 8 four four 747 88 68, that's our toll free telephone number. That's 8 four four. 747 88 68. People are very upset about this. One software engineer, this is from unilad dot com. A great tech site. And the software engineer chief nerd says that if you notice your iPhone is charging a little slower, it may be due to a new setting, apple added called clean energy charging with it turned on iOS will only recharge the iPhone's battery with the electrical grid uses cleaner energy sources like solar or wind. Now my question is, can you actually disable this? That's what I'm wondering. So a lot of people are jumping on and saying, no wonder my battery has been trash. And I've noticed that with mine and I haven't even done the update yet. So I'm curious to know if any of you folks have seen the same issue. 8 four four 747 88 68..

So you're going to want to bring some comfortable shoes. All right, folks, hang tight, hour three, coming up next. This is the Todd's radio show. Life from the Liberty University studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's common sense conservative commentary from Todd stars. That's right. I love this American ride all right, hello everybody. Welcome to hour three of the big show. Hamper to have you with us today, and I trust you are doing well. Thank you for hanging out with us. Noon to three eastern, we are, we're not one of the big corporate guys. We are a grassroots talk radio program, and we are so honored to be broadcasting on a 140 radio stations around this great nation. There is some brand new polling data out from Emerson college, they say that president Trump is leading Ron DeSantis 55% to 30% in the polling data. This is and this is in a ten person race, a ten way race for the Republican nomination, Trump at 55%, and he beats everybody else. On Thursday, this poll just came out today, by the way, on Thursday, Rasmussen came out with the poll Trump at 52%, 24% for Ron DeSantis. Now just a few moments ago, we talked with our good friend pastor Jack hibbs, pastor of one of the largest churches in Southern California, and he warned that Republicans better get it together because he believes that the Democrats are going to be running a combo platter of Gavin Newsom and Michelle Obama. Now, we want to get your take on that. We're going to go to the phone lines here in just a moment, 8 four four 747 88 68 we have Keith in North Carolina Evelyn and Ohio hang tight. But I want to place some audio from Brian kilmeade from facts and Friends, they sent him down to Florida, which is Ron DeSantis territory, and they were actually in search of a Ron DeSantis supporter. Take a listen. Metro dining here. I got a question for you ready? Hi. 2024. Who's pumped up for the election? Rapid fire. Who's your man who's your woman? My man, Donald Trump. Donald Trump. Who's your man? A woman. Trump. A lot of Trump fans. How about Trump and Nicky Haley? And Nikki Haley. Donald Trump and Nikki Haley. So far, a lot of Donald Trump. I see that I see governor desantis. And what about president descent? I like it. I like that. Who's your pick? Oh gosh, I don't know. Trump would desantis. I'm either wear. You're right in the middle. Yes. Would you pumped up for? I am super proud. I feel like we need a little bit of a break from election election. This goes from one to the other, but it's getting exciting. We know Nikki Haley's in. We know that they ramen Swami is in and we also know that it looks like Mike Pence Mike Pompeo and so many others are poised to jump in, including governor Ron DeSantis who's book is out today. He'll be on a little bit later. That's the latest from the metro diner. Thanks so much for coming. Thank you, kilmeade, pardon me. You want to sing along to that. Thank you, smash mouth. It's an interesting. There was no one in the diner that actually is voting for Ron DeSantis. And it's his state. What's going on there? All right, let's go to the phones. Keith in North Carolina, listening to us on the talk station. Hi Keith, what's going on? Well, Todd, before I even begin, I'm just going to give you a kudos. Once again, you're presenting a superb program. Well, thank you, sir. I appreciate that. I mean, you really are. You bring forth some very good information and good callers. I was going to mention a couple of things else, but I got in trouble once for going off talking, copied and grace got on to me. She's a stickler Keith, stick to it. Stick to it. Well, Dylan warned me. Well, the reason that I called it was I played baseball for years. I've got friends that played baseball for years. And if Major League Baseball wants to bring more people into the fold, cut the cost of going to a ball game. I mean, it cost an arm and a leg to take a family of four. By the time you get there, I'll end the northeast Arkansas. We drive up to St. Louis. By the time the game was over, you had to get a motel room. Then you gotta eat the cost of the concessions within the within the stadium. Outrageous. Just kept the cost to make it more affordable. I am looking so Keith, what you were talking about, this goes back to we did a piece on the new pitch clock. And it has shaved off at least right now it's shaving off in spring training 30 to 40 minutes per game. But to your point, I just pulled up the average ticket prices for major league games Boston Red Sox $75. A ticket, Keith, and you're right, I guess when you throw in the cracker jacks and the baptist martini, man, you're going to be spending well over a $100, just for one person. Easily. So you think that's the reason why people are getting turned off from baseball. It's not necessarily the length of the game. It's the price. It's both..

"Zion is there when you go and cast your vote for the very first time and I'm very I'm very intrigued by this. You're going to go and cast your vote for the very first time. What are the issues or is there one issue in particular that's really important to you? Well, issue that's important to me. Number one, the economy, the economy, the economy, and number two, this war that the Biden administration has gotten involved in that. I see turning into World War three. And you've done the math Zion and you know if they implement the draft, you may not be going to college, you may be going to the front lines. Yeah, you're right about that. Wow. Well, it sounds to me like you're making a pretty informed and educated decision here. Zion, here's what I want to do for. I want to give you a copy, so don't hang up, but I want to give you a copy of my book, culture Jihad. How to stop the left from killing a nation. I think you'll enjoy the read and it'll kind of give you an idea of what's going on around the country. Is that okay? Can we send you a copy of that? Yes, that would appreciate that. Thank you. All right, well hang tight and Dylan will get all your information and we'll get you a signed copy of that book in the mail. So you see folks, this is what we have so many young people that are listening to this program. And this is why I have hope in America, because there are plenty of young patriots that understand the constitution. They understand what America is all about, and as long as we're able to grow up and raise up that next generation of patrons, we're going to be all right. We're going to be okay. All right, we got to take a break here. 8 four four 747 88 68, toll free telephone number that's 8 four four 747 88 68. This is the Todd starn show. Duncan rewards members who order head on the app can get a $2 medium cold brew every day all month long, not a member join on the Dunkin app and get even more exclusive Dunkin deals. So I've been using ample products for a very long time decades. And just a big fan and I think I have just about every product they've made except for the watch I don't do watches. But I I've been reading about this new update and I have been getting the alerts on my phone over the past couple of days about the new update as at 16.1, 16.2. And I'm hearing some pretty disturbing things about this. So apparently, the update, which I have not gotten yet, the update could impact your battery charging time. Which has been a big issue. A lot of people have been complaining when the iOS 16 first came out that the battery charge was just not good, so they've been dealing with this problem for a long time. Now, there is something new happening. So the ample introduced a clean energy charge. And it claims it's going to reduce your carbon footprint. This is nuts. But anyway, ample says that once you update your phone and the mode has been able, has been enabled your iPhone will charge differently once it's connected to a charger and here's how it works apparently. The phone literally gets a report of carbon emissions generated by the local energy grid. And then uses that information to determine when to charge your phone. So in other words, you may need your phone right away and you plug it in and it may take forever to charge because your local energy grid is using too much energy. This is nuts..

"And it is a mess. And my question to you, ladies and gentlemen, as we go to break. Do you still support Fox News? Does it bother you that the Fox News host were out there telling you on the air there is voter fraud, we have irrefutable evidence, but when the lights went out, they didn't believe it. They basically laughed at you guys. Can you believe these guys, they actually buy in what we're telling them here? Does that bother you? 8 four four 747 88 68. That's a toll free telephone number 8 four four 747 88 68. This is the Todd starn ship. All right, hacking our bags, grace baker. Caleb park, we're all heading down to cpac, Washington, D.C.. We're going to be broadcasting the show there Thursday and Friday, we've got, I'm telling you it is jam packed. With the number of people wanting to come on the program, it's going to be a lot of fun. And we're going to give you the bird's eye view. And we would love to see you if you are going to be there. We hope you drop by. You'll be able to find us. We have some pretty impressive imaging and branding, so we'd love to we'd love to see you at cpac this year. By the way, Fox News, again, back to Fox. Fox News is not going to be broadcasting cpac this year. In years past, they have had Fox nation there, a massive setup. Now, they're not saying why. Some of this may have to do with some of the allegations around Matt schlapp, the lawsuit, but it turns out that newsmax TV is going to be the big sponsor this year. So newsmax is stepping in and they're going to be providing massive coverage. You will see me on a number of newsmax TV shows while we're there in Washington. Also, Ron DeSantis, he will not be showing up. He has turned down an invitation and also governor Mike Pence or former vice president Mike Pence. Will not be in attendance either. So I love baseball and where's Della Dillon played baseball for a while. And I'm going to let you get situated here. I want to talk about a brand new rule, a brand new device that has been introduced to baseball. And one of the big complaints has been that baseball games are just too long. And so spring training underway and they've implemented the brand new pitch clock. And it's supposed to and by the way, it's actually sped up the games it shaved about 30 to 40 minutes off the games. Yeah, I'm actually excited for this. This is I think this is a good thing for baseball because I think if you talk to a lot of people that like to actually go to the games, they'll be like, yeah, you know, it's just slow sometimes because the picture just does stand up there sometimes and take their time. So what is it it's a 15 seconds and then when with runners on base pitchers have 20 seconds to throw. Yeah. They say it stressing people out. I'm sure it does. They're not used to this kind of speed. Because the games became tediously long. So I'm curious how baseball purists because you were a pitcher back in the day. Right. Yeah. You know, I don't know. It's been so long, but for me, I just, I didn't take as much time as some of these other professional pictures are taken, but I don't know. Overall, I think this is a good thing for baseball. It'll get more viewers. It'll have more sustained watching time. It just picks up the pace a little bit. A lot, yeah. And it seems was baseball always liked fan though. Was it always that long and slow? It just seems like you're lately, it was becoming like a miniseries. I think people just became more impatient. That's all it is. You think so? Yeah. Well, that could be it. I think it's always been this slow, but you know, baseball is a lot harder nowadays because pitchers are pitching faster and faster. So the game is just going to go a lot faster in general. Barstool sports. They've got some video, side by side, a pitcher with the pitch clock through one full inning before Pedro Baez through one pitch. Sounds about right. There you go. But you know, there are some people out there, don't you dare don't mess with baseball. It's America's sport. Yep. I don't know. I generally think that people are going to enjoy this just because the fans that are already there are going to, are they going to stay there, but this is the opportunity for new people to come in and be like, okay, I can actually enjoy watching this and they'll probably even start to go to the games. It's really, I think one of the only major sports without a clock. I mean, it's really no ending and it could go on for hours, and remember some of those games going into the wee hours of the morning, 7, 8 hours..

"Okay, we've got to take a break. When we come back, I want to talk about the book, and here's what we're going to do, folks. We're going to make it super simple for book number two. If you are caller number three, caller number three, you're going to win a copy of mark's brand new book called burner. Give us a call 8 four four 747 88 68 again that is a toll for each telephone number 8 four four 747 88 68. This is the Todd starn show. All right folks, welcome back to the Todd stern's radio program. Great to have you with us today. Here in studio, we are honored. This is really a nice treat. Mark graney, author of the gray man series and has a brand new book coming out next week called burner, but two of our listeners are getting some advanced copies. And let's go to the phones because we have Tina from the great state of Maine listening to us on WLB, Tina how are you? I'm excellent. How about yourself? Doing well, and by the way, Mark WLB, they call that radio station the big lobster. Yeah. There you go. And Tina, you're on the air, so say hello to Mark. Well, hello, Mark. How are you? I'm great, Tina, and thanks for calling in. And to you. We're listening to you. Well, Tina, we're going to hook you up with a copy of mark's newest novel. It's called burner, so congratulations. Yes, thank you very much. All right, we're going to put you on the whole Tina and Dylan's going to get your information and we'll get this in the mail to you. Awesome. Thank you. All right. Congratulations. So I didn't realize that your dad was in the journalism business. Worked to local TV here at Memphis. Yeah, my dad was, he ran the news department at the NBC affiliate here in Memphis. I grew up around the news and stories and things like that. There was a great guy who did sports. Jack Eaton, I don't know if you remember. A friend of the family. Oh my gosh. You know, growing up watching those kinds of those folks. I remember the day, the TV station, I don't know if you remember this. It caught fire. Yeah, my dad was the manager then. He went down at three in the morning or 5 in the morning or whatever and was worked for weeks and they actually broadcast from outside. It's amazing. I hope we never have to do that here at K ram our flagship station, but it was pretty fascinating. Do you find that a lot of the experiences you had growing up do they do people that you meet? Do they ever end up as characters in your books? Yeah, amalgamations of people. Our characters, when I wrote the gray man, it's about former CIA paramilitary officer. I didn't know anybody that had ever done that or even been in the CIA when I first wrote it, but now I've met people that have worked on the covert side at the agency and I'm like, yeah, he's a little bit like this guy and a little bit like this guy and a little bit like this guy. How important is it for you to get that part of it right? I mean, do you get the calls from the CIA guys or the military folks saying, hey, you know, this is exactly how we would do something like that. I've heard both sides. I've heard you're way off and then I've heard like, wow, how did you get that? And at some point, especially this is my 23rd book being published at some point, it becomes less important to get every detail right so you can prove that you know what you're talking about and more important to capture the reader's emotions and all that. So that's more what I'm focused on. They're very geopolitical and there's a lot of actual fact in there. But it's more about bringing the reader along on this really wild ride. But it's also about the new novel burner. What's it about? Yeah, so it's the 12 book in the series, but it's a stand-alone novel. You don't have to read the first 11 books at all. It's about this former CIA officer who's picked up by the CIA and asked to do a job, Russian foreign intelligence has been laundering money and bringing it into the U.S. to kind of influence the world leaders in the west. This is involves the Ukraine war. And they are trying to get a peace treaty at the expense of Ukrainian lives and territory. They're kind of cynical peace treaty and court and his team of people, you know, it's all action action and tension on virtually every page of this book, but it's all about this kind of geopolitical race against time. When you're writing your books and working on ideas, do you ever come across something in the news and maybe you just jot down, say, oh, that might be an interesting angle for a plot or something of that nature. Yeah, that's exactly how I do it. I mean, every one of my books has come from something where it's just like, who knows? My book next year might involve balloons. That seems kind of like a lousy but off the top of the head. It doesn't seem that exciting. Well, it certainly captured the attention of the nation over the past couple of days, so you never know. You never know. Well, Mark, congratulations. And we don't want you to be a stranger here in the neighborhood. Yeah. So come on by and if you ever want to talk to geopolitics, you've got an open invitation. Fantastic. Thank you. It's been fun. All right, so where can people go if they want to get a copy of the book? You're going to be doing a big book tour. Where are you guys going? Yeah, so I go out on tour next week and I'm in Scottsdale, Arizona and Houston and Tulsa and St. Louis, and Atlanta and Raleigh and I'm doing an event here in Memphis as well. Fantastic. And looking forward to that. And the last one, it was standing room only. So yeah, it was pretty crowded. And that's a lot of fun. Yeah, it was fun. So I know this doesn't impact you at all, but some of those book signings that sometimes they can be lessons in humility for some authors. So you never know. Oh yeah, I've had those events too. I'm looking at three people and going like, I flew here. Exactly. Well, Mark, congratulations again, folks, the book, burner, you can get a copy at your local bookstore. All right, folks, we've got to ramp it up. By the way, Todd stern's dot com, we have some great resources for you there. Also, the latest information on President Biden and his remarks a few minutes ago. And be sure to sign up for the newsletter and the podcast. Great opportunities if you missed an interview, maybe you want to go back and re listen to the interview with Mark, you can do that by simply going Todd stern's dot com download the podcast that's available in all of our various platforms. Now tomorrow, Lara Trump is going to drop by also we will be speaking to some folks up on Capitol Hill, hearings getting underway. Mark, we do a lot of politics on this program. So this is always a nice break when we don't talk politics. But tomorrow, it's going to be a jam packed day heading into the weekend. All right, folks, again, and if you would like information on the Israel trip, go to Todd stern's dot com, or you can call Dylan, 8 four four 747 88 68. Been a great day, a busy day. You folks get out there and be good America. I'm another night now I'm down to 9 9 9 9 9..

"That's how I believe is our biggest threat. Rick, a good thought you've got right there and we try to encourage people by America. You got to buy made in America and it's hard. And it's really hard because most of our stuff is built overseas and it's all crap, just cheap crap. So I'm with you. We got to buy American. Rick preciate that call, let's go to Rebecca in Maine, Rebecca, what's on your mind? Hi, Todd. Actually, it's kind of twofold. I agree as many people do that most of what we have going on here, we are challenged the most by Russia. I made after I'm one of those people that drew a line with the mandate in the stand with Joe Biden. And I made a decision not to buy anything from China. And I made a post one day and I said, and the inline was and I'll probably end up naked because everything, all the clothes are made there, all of the stuff is made there. But I'm a label reader. I read every label from my food to my clothes. And it's hard. It's really hard to find something that is not made in China. But I have to agree with what you brought up to change the subject a little bit. I do think that what we have going on is very nefarious. When we have things that are so basic to life, our water, our electricity, things that every human being uses in this country now being under attack when you have food when you have people whose chickens weren't laying. And then all of a sudden they were because they found a different source for food. I do. I believe that it is a nefarious act and I think that I would have just come out and do that little slap on each of everybody's face that might knock them out of their trance that they're in over what they're experiencing. I'm still just amazed to this day. How many people will tell you, oh, there's nothing wrong going on. I think, you know, this is when you stop and you think they are godless because the devil is running amok is just running them up. And he's not even covert anymore. It's just running amok. And you would see it if you believed. If you don't believe, it's probably invisible to you, because that's how it works. Rebecca interesting stat about this area in Ohio where all of this went down. Do you know there are 75,000 farms in that area of Ohio, and most of them are family owned farms, and this is, look, this is a big, big, the ag sector in that part of Ohio. It feeds a lot of people in this country, a lot of people, and now you've got chickens, livestock, just dropping dead. Meanwhile, you've got the EPA saying, hey, there's no problem here. Go ahead and drink the water. I don't know about that. But I also have to say sir, that I definitely believe in when the left hand is doing something pay attention to the right hand. Because if this is the pay attention, oh, the balloons, the, they are doing something over here that's nefarious. And Rebecca, too much of a pattern not to. Rebecca, this talk radio program just so you know is literally built on a swivel, so we keep our eye on everything, and when they brought up, Rebecca, when they brought up that whole nonsense about, well, we can't rule out aliens. I knew something was up, because there are no such thing as aliens. I'm just gonna, I know that's controversial to say, but I knew at that point something was going on. And to be honest, if there were aliens, why would they be interested in us? That's a wrap. That's a very good point. All right, Rebecca. All right, you do as well, we got to take a break, folks. 8 four four 747 88 68. This is the Todd starring show. We'll have term limits for Congress. And mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old. Most of all, I see a strong America because I see a proud America. Strong and proud, not weak and woke. That's the America I see. All right, there you go, Nikki Haley, just a little while ago about a thousand people turning out as she launched her campaign for The White House. She also said, and this was the line that got the biggest applause, America is not passed our prime, it's just that our politicians are passed theirs. So that's a direct knock at Biden and Trump. And by the way, Trump is firing back. We'll keep you, we will go through some of the bullet points from the Trump campaign, but they're coming out pretty strong against a Haley. Also, some breaking news from CNN, congressman Matt Gaetz. Looks like he is off the hook, the Justice Department says they will not charge Matt Gaetz in that sex trafficking investigation. And that's good news for him. By the way, investigators recommended not moving forward back in the fall. So this is all politics. Shame on the Justice Department for what they did to congressman Matt Gaetz. Where does he go to get his good name back? All right, gotta take a break, hang tight if you're on the phones. We'll get to your calls right after this. Life from the Liberty University studio in Memphis, Tennessee. It's common sense conservative commentary from Todd starnes. That's right. I love this American ride and hello America welcome. So the Todd starn radio program, hour three of the big show broadcasting border to border coast to coast across the fruited lane. Want to repeat our breaking news from Paula Reid over at C and M, she says, the Justice Department has formally decided not to charge congressman Matt Gaetz in a sex trafficking probe. Prosecutors have been informing witnesses today of the final decision by DoJ leadership. This comes after investigators recommended last fall not to move forward with the case. In other words, there was nothing there. Nothing there at all. The same things happening with Donald Trump. How many times have they launched an investigation and then it just withers on the vine? Because there was nothing there. To begin with. My question is, where does Congress Gates go to get as good name back? I mean, they smeared this guy and the stuff on the social media is just disgusting. So good news, congratulations, congressman Gates and we'll see we'll see how that plays out. You know where this will be on The New York Times. It'll be like on page 72. That's where it'll be. I want to go to the patriot mobile newsmaker line. "Please do. Yeah, we'll send that up to marketing, Bruce. Bruce Elliott, ladies and gentlemen, from WC VM in Baltimore, Bruce, take care now, good hearing from you. Wow, can you believe that story? No, not the roadkill Mac and cheese. No, kids in Baltimore. They're not learning anything. And we've all seen the stories. This is an abject failure, and I'm so glad that Bruce brought this up because parents bear some responsibility here. Mom's dad, you have a responsibility to educate your kids. You can't rely on these government funded schools. You can't do it. So who do you blame for what's happening in Baltimore where zero? Again, zero students in at least 23 public schools failed math class, not a single student was proficient in math. Zero. District wide only 8% of students tested proficient. Who do you blame? Restrictions apply, not available in all areas. All right, Valentine's Day. And if you want to give your Valentine a shout out, you can do that today 8 four four 747 88 68 Dylan I have to ask you a question. I know you've got your Valentine is in another city. Unfortunately. But are you guys do you have something planned? What are you gonna do? Well, each year, it's been like this in the past two years, but we've been on a little virtual date just for the day on Valentine's Day. And then I'll try to visit her the weekend of Valentine's Day and have a little special time, you know. Wherever. Do you have a gift picked out already? What are you gonna do? Well, I did, so I can now say this now because she just saw the flower. So I sent her flowers from a nice Birmingham shop. Oh, nice. Oh, that's very nice. She got those. You know, if you're gonna be in Memphis, Tennessee, by the way, pews, flowers. They do an amazing job. They do a great job. Dylan, there's a survey. I want to get your thoughts on. They say that some Valentine's Day gifts you think are great. May not be so great. And this survey, the survey from study finds. They asked 2000 Americans who are in a relationship about the biggest Valentine's Day cliches. And I'm shocked by this. They're saying that if you're looking to impress your partner this year, go to gifts like chocolate coverage strawberries and champagne will not cut it. Interesting. I wonder why. Well, they're saying, if you're getting that or like the heart shaped candy, the chocolate candy, it means you're not putting a lot of thought into the gift, right? Yeah, I've seen those things recently. I feel like, I don't know if this is true for all women, but I feel like they're not really in favor of the heart shaped jewelry, the heart shaped. I mean, hartree candy is probably better than the jewelry, but just it's a little, it's a little cheesy, I think. I had to go to Kroger last night, and I was back in the milk section or all that stuff is. There was literally a line of men lined up to get a dozen eggs. I think they came out ahead, you know? It's a lot. 14%, so these are these are the least the least coveted Valentine's Day gift. The least desired gifts on Valentine's Day. The classic heart shaped box of chocolates. 22% said they don't want the heart shaped chocolates. Flowers. Uh oh. Don't want flowers. They don't want flowers. 28%. And 14, I'm sorry, 34%. Now, this is the least desired of all. They do not want furry handcuffs. This is interesting, Paul. I wonder, I'm curious about the flowers though, because I feel like I feel like rose is nowadays are becoming a little bit of that cheesy cliche gift to get on Valentine's Day. Like, different flowers are what they want. But if it's her favorite flower. Yeah, that's important. Over half, say that heart shaped boxes of candy are a cop out gift. Yeah. Well, you have to think about it. It's in like every single Kroger every single CVS, like, it's just right there. It's the easiest thing to pick up on Valentine's Day. And the problem is, you always get the one with the cream filling that tastes horrible. That's true. Yeah. So if it's not, so if you're not gonna get furry handcuffs, which I didn't realize was a thing. Flowers or heart shaped box of chocolate, I guess they want you to think outside of the chocolate box. That's what it is. You gotta be creative. Sorry guys, you gotta be creative this year. I don't know. I'm opening this up to the ladies of our audience. I think they want chocolate. I don't know a lady who does not want chocolate. Should ask them, ladies, what say you? Would you rather have chocolate than furry handcuffs? Aid 404, 747 88 68..
